The podcast blends college football analysis with deep dives into fan rivalries, emphasizing emotional intensity and the significance of key matchups like Michigan vs. Ohio State. Hosts explore the psychological impact of rivalry games, arguing that these contests go beyond sports results—they shape team identities and fan loyalty. The Michigan-Ohio State game is analyzed in detail, with hosts weighing defensive strength, quarterback performance, and historical context to predict outcomes. A parallel discussion arises on the Heisman Trophy race, where no clear frontrunner emerges, and multiple players are seen as strong contenders due to high-impact performances. Rivalry games like the Egg Bowl and Iron Bowl are celebrated as culturally significant events, reinforcing the emotional stakes of college football. The hosts also promote food-related content, including Tony’s Cajun Kick and Cracker Barrel, tying culinary traditions to the football season. Throughout, the tone is lively and passionate, reflecting the deep personal investment fans have in both their teams and the cultural rituals that surround the sport. The episode underscores how rivalry, tradition, and emotion drive the excitement of college football, even in the face of changing schedules and playoff dynamics.
Hey Brandon Walker College football show fans, you can find every episode on Apple podcast, Spotify, Amazon Music or YouTube. Trust no one and accuse everyone in who's the bad guy, the official bar soul sports social deduction game from the brilliant mind of Nick Teraney in what's quickly becoming the most popular new party game around players are secretly signed unique roles with the good guys trying to expose the bad guys and the bad guys doing everything they can to stay hidden. The game unfolds under alternating day and night phases with roles like the cool chick, the shy guy, the gambler, L. Presidente, the mentalist, the planner, the funny guy and more. Every round is unpredictable, chaotic and ridiculously fun. Who's the bad guy? Is great for parties, pre-games, family gatherings or groups who just love deception based games. Tonight will never be the same shop now on walmart.com. Yeah, it probably goes with Turkey, it probably goes with the cranberry sauce, it probably goes with the green bean casserole and it goes well with just sitting around chilling and watching football, which is what we do on this podcast, twisted tea, get you some, get you some today. Anyway, rivalry, weak and Casey Smith is jealous of me every time I do that. I am so jealous because I mean, the college football show is already out, so if you've watched it and you're listening to this, I just refuse to say it the entire time. I just had Brandon on cue because I just point them because I can't say it fast. I have to sound like Dr. Shoes, rivalry, weak. If I even remotely try to say it quickly, I sound awful rivalry, weak rivalry, rivalry, weapon rivalry, I can't wait for rivalry, weak team up, I mean, there's so many good games on rivalry, weak, I love rivalry, weak, yeah, it's tough, it's tough. We are here. I have to work hard to say that right. It is truly a sounding in the draft Kings ad for the college football show, how many times it was in the copyright and I think you had to say it like six or seven times, so thank you for that. I appreciate it. But rivalry, weak is here. All right. Can I get a, let's go around the horn real quick. Can I get a, can I get a fuck Texas out of Casey Smith? Fuck Texas. Can I get a fuck Michigan out of, out of big F? Fuck Michigan, bro. I hate these motherfuckers, man. Can I get a fucks out of Louisiana out of T-bop? I have. This is always where I feel like Squidward looking outside the window and SpongeBob and Patrick are running around having so much fun. I don't really have a rival. LSU football is an amazing program and has some of the most fun highlights in the fun. They're such a, they're top 10 program in the country. They just don't have a rival, but I'll tell you what, depending on what happens Saturday off the field, one might go through the roof. One that has been, you know, one side thinks it's a rivalry, the other side doesn't. But that might change on Saturday, T-bop. I mean, to be clear, Ole Miss has been the rival at time. Like my grandpa fucking hated Ole Miss and then even before that, my grandpa was coming up. It was like two lane when I was in school as Bama early 2000, probably Auburn. And yes, obviously the Ole Miss thing, which I already love. One of my favorites. We get juiced all the way back to the top if Lane Kiffin were to leave and go to Baton Rouge. They also tried to make an M and LSU arrival for a little bit until Texas joined the SEC. Cause like, and I never, I mean, yes, it was there, but it was like, I never really felt that same hate, did you? I, I thought it worked quite well, but again, I don't have hate for a school like Texas to begin with. But I thought something that started as a complete, inorganic contrivance actually took on some real heat. Like, yeah, the John Chavis drama, you had the seven overtime game. Largest LSU alumni fan bases in Houston, Texas A&M is outside of you. So it's like, it didn't have to get some real heat. What do you, why are you shooting Liam Brown? It did, but I, I don't, I never cared about LSU the way I care about Texas Brandon. Can I get a, can I get a fuck all miss? Well, Casey, listen, rivalry business is so silly, you know, so so much hatred throughout the country. At the end of the day, these were all young men trying to advance their careers and their families through the sport of football. I think sportsmanship should carry the day. Do some men choose to cheat and go to a piece of shit organization and, and be complete assholes the rest of their life? Yeah, they do, but that's not their fault. They're tricked by stupid ass adults and who are wearing bow ties and cooking and eating cold chicken tenders and a fucking tent underneath a tree. And they call it a grove, what a bunch of fucking pussies. Yeah. Fuck all mess. I guess is what I'm saying. Um, Liam, can I get a forget USC? Forget USC. There you go. And y'all are welcome. You're going to have some nice good old 630 central time big 10 rivalry football on your space on NBC when you see UCLA and USC done in one of the best uniform games in the sports world. I would agree with that. That's a big one. No comment. No comment. There's all results around. I'm focused on 2026. All the matters is what the stadium looks like and what the uniforms look like, right? Yeah, yeah. We could go with that who's on the sidelines coach and next year's important to who's playing football for us important to who's what money I'm playing into the university to get players that we got to get there someday. What money do you have to put into the players? We got to get there someday. All right. Yeah, we're working on a brand new brand. Why you pocket watching fair, fair, fair, fair, fair. Listen, big F, what you don't know is Mark Blutman is in the building today and and if you told me that Mark Blutman is here for Thanksgiving, I believe you, but if you also told me Mark Blutman is here, so Liam can try to get some UCLA money out of him. I believe that's it. Two words at one stone. Yeah. Smart man. I'm a big Mark Blutman guy. I would give you this. I have been to that game at the Rose Bowl and I mean, you guys, even when one team is bad, you guys still really hate each other a whole bunch. That game is awesome. Of course. When I was in middle school and high school, I went at right in S. I would put the dollar sign. I wouldn't put that scene next to each other. Wow. Real, real. The rivalry runs deep. It's, I hate those guys. I'll never show up on their campus. I'm afraid to show up on their campus. Actually, I've actually been on their campus. I don't want to go football. Slame. I want to go call see him. Got no business being there. I'm good here. Well said. Well said. Well said. I'm then Westwood fat. Sal's. Did you reach all the company I need? All right. So I would be remiss if I didn't say, listen, there's some big games here, particularly involving some people on this show. So, oh, we'll just involve one of them right here in case he, why don't we start off with the Venmo big game preview over the week and we're going to pull one game out for that. And that game, of course, Casey is. Well, it's the game, right? It is the game. It is Ohio State in Ann Arbor, the Venmo game of the week and we do this every week. But I would make the argument that of all the Venmo segments we've had. This one is probably the biggest big game segment of the week. So obviously, all sports season long, we've been talking about this. We're going to keep talking about it. I can't even imagine what the vibes are going to be like before that kick off. This face paint is going to battle. That's what it is. I live for this. I know we've lost last few. Unfortunately, we haven't streamed them because he hasn't had the balls to stream them. The last time we did it was when they were favorites, but no, I'm excited. I'm ready to go. Flying out Friday night. I'll be there ready to go Saturday morning, locked in, ready to go to battle in an order. I almost prefer it that way. I thrive off the enemy territory, I thrive off the negativity, I thrive off the shit talk. I think it brings the best out of me. It brings the fire out of me. I'm excited. I'm very, very excited because I really think we're going to win. I really, I sit in the coach. I really think that that was like a foundation on the deep in the foundation, like a building block learning moment for Ryan Day, like a gut check moment, a obviously incredibly humbling moment is like a small way to put it. I mean, he just, I think he became a better coach that day. I think he learned a lot about himself that day. I think he's improved a lot. I think he will not make the unthinkable mistake he made last year to have the worst game plan ever to play into their hand. I think he knows better to play into their strengths. It's what Urban Always did. Beat them with speed.
And again this defense our defense is incredible and I'll talk about the cold and snow potentially and all that like I love that when they have a young quarter inexperienced quarterback going against an incredible elite defense on all three levels. They also I don't they have a good run game they have a solid defense. I don't think the defense even as good as it was last year. I feel good. I'm just I'm ready to go. It's one of those words like I don't I'm going to keep talking shit but like I'm almost over like I just want. I just want that I want it to be Saturday like I just want the game to be here now. It's the this week's taken really long. It's it's dragging along. I want it to be Saturday now. It is crazy. It's only Tuesday. It's just I got back to New York a couple of hours ago and the fact that we have to wait multiple more days for these games. It's not it's not going to go well for me. It's not going to go well. What are they doing? Big of the college on the college football here give it to me. What are you doing? Liam wrote Ohio State 35 Michigan 10 and I counter by saying Ohio State 28 Michigan 6. That's what you're doing you ask. I know both both scores sound great to me. I mean Brandon you you flipped your pick on the college football. I did because I I I was thought about it. I thought about it and I came in that morning and I was like you know what it's been close. Michigan makes it close things but but if you really just look at it. From a well let me speak to something else a lot of people said oh does this game matter Ohio State in the playoff anyway this game matters this year maybe more than it's ever mattered. Like Michigan wins this game hello chaos hello four teams in the big 10 in the playoff hello I'm just absolutely Michigan's in the playoff if they win this game they are in they are in the playoff this game matters. Incredibly and Ohio's taking slip their throat though I was taking say no we're going to bump you in your homes you're your seasons over you're done go play a meaningless ball we're going to go win another national title this game means a fuck ton this year and I thought about it Casey I originally I was like yeah Michigan keep it close if they get Ohio State down seven nothing if you get them down 10 nothing Ohio State panic and I thought well what the hell tells you they have the ability to get them down seven or nothing seven nothing or 10 nothing this time because they rested their receivers they they rested they're ready to go Ohio state has just kind of held this offense back in third gear all year and I think it's time to go to press the throttle down Michigan can't run with him Michigan has given up points to Northwestern they give up points to these other teams they're facing the best offensive face all year the face and the best defensive face all year and they're living on borrowed time they stole a win last year when Ryan day have the dumbest game plan ever and I think 365 days later Ryan days ready to get his is come back to about what do you think yeah I mean I do want to pose a hypothetical to have it a little bit but yeah again it's you know last year it felt on paper like there was just absolutely no way that Ohio state will lose the game actually just curious that was a spread last year 20 okay so it was a bigger spread last season but in some ways I almost feel like this year it would be even more insane for Ohio state to lose this game and it's because last year we hadn't seen them go on that national championship one what they did post Michigan is one of the most insane run of games you will ever see when you talk about the quality of the opponents they beat and the manner in which they beat them and I know that this Michigan team is better but this Ohio state team feels even better than last years did so yeah I think I mean I guess maybe home in a way to change that anyway I don't know on paper it's similar last year and that I don't know that on paper you can find the angle for how Michigan wins how do they keep a close I mean even boil it out of something like if you go into any team statistic Ohio state is going to be number one or two and Michigan is going to be middle of the pack but then even just boil it down to the quarterbacks I mean you'll insane it's the highest rated quarterback in the big 10 East on 27 touchdowns only four picks he's completing 80% of his passes over 2800 yards under its nine tuts to five picks 2100 yards 62% it's not even close so like if Ohio state loses this game it is purely just a mental block a failure of toughness a failure of culture because on the field it is undeniable that they are the superior team have here's my happy thetical you have a national championship bring sitting on your finger already if I told you that hello I am the college football gods and I offer you one of two paths you lose this game and you win a second nadi in a row or you win this game and you equip yourselves well in the playoff but you do not win the nadi damn I knew I knew you're going to ask that that's how much this game matters to nothing to think about I know there's not but there is there is though that's the point it's a logical but there is but that's why that's why all those things that you said about the exos are true and these teams those those are all true things that's why the what the question that you just ask is why this game could be a lot closer than just rational logic of where these teams line up there is so much of a mental block for every rivalry game I mean every single one I mean the it's that's why you we've seen in the iron bowl in the past in the past we saw last year with this game that for some reason when you go up against the team that you hate the most you can throw a lot of those things way further back because it that's and that's why I think Michigan will keep it close because yes Ohio states a better team on paper Ohio state also hasn't really been tested and I'm not saying Michigan's going to come right out and test them but to not be tested all season and also play a team that you just can't mentally get over and haven't beaten since 2019 does actually play into this for me I think as hesitance here we need all baskin and enjoy because much to Liam Shagran I think it's something that we will lose like the further we get into the expanded play out the next generation won't put as much into these rivalry games if we have our entire life and I think I think I think their thought process will change on this as it becomes more common for a team to lose these games yet still accomplish their season long goals and answer the question it's the it's the world that I will have to live in if that is the case like it's I mean take it to like like taking out there like me personally like the world that I will have to the reality I'll have to live in if it was the latter but you think you think you would rather like like it's the world like if we lost this game and then won the natty like it's still a great world I'm living in but it's like my day to day interactions with Dave are like it'll still it'll still just be like that little cat like I'll just hate that so you would rather be Michigan say man I can't say that I can't say that I can't say that because like it's just like a national title is still a man like going back to back man back things but they can say I know Brandon Brandon said he couldn't disagree more the same thing that I did what he's going through is why those rivalry games will always mean the most like I got asked Dave asked me on the college football show about A&M in Texas A&M is in the playoff regardless of what happens on Friday night does not matter 99% and losing that game would be fucking devastating it would be awful like you don't you never want your rival to be able to say hey like we beat you regardless of what happens I mean look at what Ohio State's done all year they won the national title they still have to hear from Michigan I don't care how many teams are in the playoff you never want to lose to a team that you hate the most and that they will hang it over your head be 45 teams losing to fucking Texas would suck well big af does live in a world with Dave Portnoy but the answer is national title over a rivalry game every time but I'm going to be the little Chinese girl maim why not both why not both that's wrong why like I don't agree I'm going to sit on them didn't win the national title how about that I just really know I mean yeah of course right but this is a hypothetical and highlighting that this game is so different and why it's our been moving in the week I think she's Chinese she is panic hill you know the commercial oh she is Hispanic I thought she was Chinese I'm not close on ease the why not look very yeah Chinese and Chinese and Hispanic could it be more dead 4K no los doles it's really that old old El Paso commercial they got Chinese girl for the old El Paso commercial I don't see much I need I can remember I didn't remember the actual reference of the commercial I just remember seeing her seeing her seeing her on the on the gift machine right she's like why not both is that Hispanic girl when you're at panic expressing they ask the monthly orange chicken or the beef and broccoli why not both okay I'm scared Brandon she has cactuses behind her that's true Chinese cactuses the Chinese state yeah everything about her screams Chinese I don't know why she's doing El Paso commercial all right my bad hey hey you ever mess up you ever mess up okay because I messed up before sorry little Hispanic girl Mia yeah Liam you'll get you'll get last word for right now on a live statement
because I'm sure it will come up again. You have been, you've been Mr. Ohio State's the best team in the country by mile all year long. Does anything stop that right now? Yeah, no, nothing stops. So you saw a score I wrote down. There, there has been a mental block. I'm choosing to walk down the same road that Big F is walking down. And believe that Ryan Day and his staff have learned from it. There, this is the only way I say it, that they have learned from it that they use last year as a learning experience as we saw in the playoff to get better. You got to be real bitter to get better. They've been bitter for a few years now, ready to get rolling. And all season long, they have sat on it offensively as opposed to really, really letting it rip loose and run the score up on some teams. At the end of the 35 could be low. I went 35 because I do think that there will be a bit of ball control stalling some drives and everything. But I just think Ohio State lets it rip. I think Ohio State throws the ball all over the yard. When we're talking about these two teams as a whole, we're talking about the best defense of you and in the country going against a true freshman quarterback that we have said all year long has been coddled. They have not had much trust in him to throw the ball. It has what nine interceptions you've said. I think I've had like six against Northwestern. Absolute debacle that game was what happens when Michigan's child has to go up against this fearful Ohio State defense. I just think it gets scary. I think under under what ends up having a successful career. But this is a violent situation for him to be in in my opinion. I think Ohio State's defense might just pick up a defensive score. I think Ohio State's offense is going to be quite fine. Yeah, this is the best team in the country, making another mark before they go and win national championship. And why I don't want to hear a week from now from everyone is, yeah, Ohio State still hasn't been tested anymore. The defensive score thing is interesting to me just because Michigan has been so incredibly conservative with Bryce Underwood that like, I don't know if I see him falling in that trap. But for sure, I like it, but I don't mean to say like that. I just mean to highlight that like, I think what's going to kind of damn Michigan here is that same conservative style that they've been playing with. Like that's good enough, as we said earlier in the year, to beat the majority of teams that they play because they just force you into unforstairs. But to be to Ohio State, you're going to have to go above and beyond. And I don't think they trust Underwood to have that in him. I don't think he has it in him this year. They tried to open up a little bit recently and you saw the two fourth quarter picks against Northwestern. I'm like, yeah, I just don't see it. I just don't see how that Michigan offense has consistent sustained success against at Ohio State defense. And my question with that is I mean, I do agree that he hasn't looked great at all times. But we have seen in the past where they couldn't even complete a forward pass and they were able to hang in the game. How much does Bryce Underwood concern you at all? But I think the thing I would, I guess counter that with, I guess they were to hang in the game, but they hung in the game because we didn't score. Like they scored 13 points. Like I think listen to this one, I would have said last year the same way. But if we scored, if we, I mean, yeah, we scored 10 points in this game. Like that's it. I mean, that was the disaster. The defense didn't play bad. They did the defense allowed literally one drive. The whole game, they allowed one drive. And that unfortunately cost in the game. But I mean, it's more about like our offense just needs it. Yeah, like not just not run the ball straight into their strength. Yeah. Ryan has to have a different game plan. I mean, I do think that this Michigan team is better than last year. I say you could also make that argument. But I mean, this all comes down a Ryan day at my opinion. And the thing is though, like the Michigan defense is worse this year, right? It is. It definitely is good. They're all better. The superstars that they had last season. They don't have two first round. Like guys, they're going to be two first round picks at defensive tackle spots. Yeah. Yeah. So like why I was going to say is a high Michigan, can they score 17 points? Yes or no, I lean heavily towards no. I think that's the game right there. Yeah, I just don't think they could score to compete in this game. I think they keep it close. I think Ohio State wins. But I do think it's and I think I'm the only one here that thinks it could stay close. But I mean, Ohio State is the better team. I just these emotional games like this. And like Brandon said with with Michigan having the playoff on the line and all that. Like they're I feel like crazy shit happens in these games. So I guess we just need to I need to say we just need to get out and if we get out in front early, they're fucked. Yeah, they can't play from behind. They can't play from behind. If we could get up like 10 or 14 early, like they're they're done. I'm going to make the final point. This is the only point that needs to be made. The has to be made is the only point that really matters. We are due Dave Portnoy crybaby storm out of a game like this. When when Michigan rose up and went to the playoff three straight times and won a national title, the Patriots were down down down. They were their lowest point. Well, guess what? Patriots are now 10 and 2 and they're back up and he's got something he can look over there and he's got something. So we are due. They can't have Patriots and Michigan at the same time. Michigan gets thumped. He leaves it half time and he and all he does is the videos the rest of the day are about the Patriots game on Sunday. That is that is a fantastic point, Brandon, because I mean, he has all his Thanos. What is it? How do you say that? In Kennedy stones. Yeah, he has them all, but he has he, I mean, I guess he's had like the Celtics and the Red Sox moment at the same time, but that is a fantastic point. You want to know what's actually funny? What? You, you, you, you, you know, the Pats play on my late night? The play of the Giants. They do. Haha. He did. And you know, you know, you know, it was healthy this week who is all of concussion protocol. Jackson dark. Jackson dark. I know what. Just say. Just say. Okay, we have more note passing going on in the studio. What's up, boys? Uh, he just gave me a video, uh, says, uh, the why don't we have both girl today and she's just the most Latina looking. Haha. All right. Okay, we got a lot more games to get to, a lot more games and we'll, we'll get to the categories in a minute. Uh, I want to make a very brief point before we, oh, you know what, a couple things. It's rivalry week. It's not just, um, Michigan Ohio State week. It's, uh, Egg Bowl week. It's just the most, this man thought that was an Asian baby. It's kind of an Asian coded haircut. Haha. Also, it's crazy. It was that long ago. When you see like the, the way she looks now, yeah, the footage looks a little grainy too. This is what she looks like my memory. Crazy. There's not long ago. But, but rivalry games. Why not both? Why not all of them? I'm not both. I'm a greedy fuck. I want to be the kind of Michigan. I want to be the shit of everyone else. But I mean, I'll take nothing less. Uh, that is, that is 100% the right answer and I, I, if I was in your position as an Ohio state fan alone, yes, you want the national title. But big of who works for Dave Pornoi, that makes things a little bit different. So I understand your, your, your, your plates. It's like the old Chinese proverb. Why not both? Haha. I'm not the booth. We got the egg bowl. We have the iron bowl. We have Georgia, Georgia Tech. We have Texas, Texas A&M, Clemson, South Carolina, Kentucky, Louisville, Arizona, Arizona, state, Vanderbilt, Tennessee, FSU, Florida, Air Force Colorado State, Indiana, Purdue, Oregon, Washington, Virginia Tech, Virginia, North Carolina, NC State, Northwestern Illinois, Missouri, and Arkansas, Wisconsin, Minnesota, USC, UCLA, and several, several, several, more. It is that week. It's that kind of week where there are ranked teams trying to get into the playoff. And there are teams not having, it's got a year who absolutely ruined it. And hello, egg bowl, because the recipe going around is one that could be one of the all timers, Ole Miss, start out as a nine and a half point favor now, seven point favorite. All of the talk in the college football world is about Lane Kiffin. Is he going to LSU? Is he going to Florida? Is he going to Ole Miss? There's a bizarre fucking push in the media where Pat McFee and Will Compton are saying I wish Lane Kiffin would stay at Ole Miss. Y'all shut the fuck up and sit this one out, okay? Let him go wherever he fucking wants. Anyway, so Mississippi State Ole Miss, if Mississippi State were to win, and Ole Miss finishes ten and two. This is if, and Ole Miss finishes ten and two, there's a very good chance. If Lane Kiffin leaves on Saturday, Ole Miss misses the playoff. And now that I say it out loud, I realize good things just don't happen to me. So I'm not even going to say it anymore. We got iron bowl, we got egg bowl. But here's the point I wanted to make of this week. And it's real quick. We'll talk about it briefly. Do you guys also realize we're in a two game sprint to the Heisman trophy now? Because all of the conversation about the Heisman trophy so far is moot. Nobody has separated themselves. Jeremiah loves him in a moment. Yeah. One end of him and Doza's had a moment. Julian Seyans had a couple, but like nobody has it yet. And Julian Seyans has Michigan and the Big Ten title game next week. Fernando Mendoza has a game and then the Big Ten title game next week in Ohio State. You've got Ty Simpson who could do something special, Gunner Stockton, who could do something special. And he could do something special. Marcel Reed could do something special, Diego Pavia could do something special against Tennessee. Like, I think we're in a two game sprint over the next two Saturdays where the Heisman trophy is going to come out of nowhere, perhaps. I didn't Jeremiah Smith, if he goes off for 200 yards this week and next week, he could win the damn thing. Very quickly, Tasey. Two games went to the iceman.
what I think. Yeah, no, this is definitely one of the seasons we've seen where I feel like it's like the latest that we've gone where there really isn't a true like front runner. I mean, I'd be like the Vegas odds are going to say differently, but that's why I wish that the Heisman was voted on after the playoff too, because like these are the next couple of weeks, like we're going to see like at the highest level who can take their team to the playoff, but like I would love to see it after the national championship. But all those guys who just mentioned like it would not shock me whatsoever. We're sitting here next week and you can even make an argument for multiple of them. Like that, that's where it's going to be. It's like, it's not just going to be one guy that separates themselves. I mean, you have, there's a very, very big chance that we still don't know next week at this time. Yeah. Yeah. Going into next week. I think next week is probably more important than this week as far as Echo Steve up. Yeah. Yeah. I think, yeah, I think I would agree that which is probably where somebody like Diego starts to kind of fall out of the race a bit because the championship stage will, will mean so much. I got to be honest, Brandon, for the reasons you just named, I don't have a great opinion of who I think should win Heisman. I think like you put a gun to my head. I would say Fernando Mendoza because of how incredible Indiana has been this year and so were their programs come from. I still love obvious story, probably the most. I think Vanderbilt's still insane. They're going to be ten and two. Jeremiah love is in a weird spot because right now he feels like maybe the best player, but like, how much do you ding him for that box score against Miami that we went through earlier in this week? Yeah. I mean, it being so early in the season, I don't think him all that much. I mean, everybody's had an off week, I feel. Yeah. Yeah. I guess it's fair. Not to be Julian saying hasn't that. Not to be biasing. That's I was going to say saying I think would be like the state like to me, it doesn't really make sense to me. Mendoza now being this big like minus money guy, where like you have saying we're like if he plays well, maybe Michigan. And then you remember, we're going to have to see Fernando Mendoza play Ohio State's defense, which listen, Fernando Mendoza is good. Maybe that goes well for him or maybe it's a disaster. And he goes from minus 180 to plus 600 in a second, where I think like I think saying has a more like I think saying has a bigger opportunity this week to like jump him. And then also things could be all square or maybe even saying it's a slight lead. And they play each other. And I mean, I think I think the highest defense are going to play well and get a make windows are like not look great. Like Penn State's defense didn't make them look great. Some other defensive not made them look great. Iowa. Like no, like we'll see maybe maybe Michigan does it to say it. I don't know, but I mean, like no one has really so far has like made sayings and saying not look great. Well, and like to your point with Diego Pavia, T Bob, too, like he's not going to be playing in the championship weekend. I mean, that, you know, Notre Dame's not either. Like that's you know, that's a whole bigger storyline. I mean, that'll work against love as well. Yeah. I'm saying like Jeremiah love is unbelievable. And you know, outside of them not using him very much against Miami. He's had an unbelievable season. But I do feel like next week, we're still going to, we're still going to be looking for a front runner and it's going to come down to the championship weekend. And I mean, Marcel Reed, I believe he's going to be there because I think we're going to be Texas. But if they don't be Texas and you know, all the other like cookies don't crumble, like he won't even be playing. So I do think that in the big 10 championship game looks like the safest bet of if if Jacob Rodriguez balls out over the next two weeks, who does Texas tech have this weekend? Somebody not exciting this weekend. But if, if, if he balls out in, in the rematch against BYU and plays really well, does he take a New York spot? Yeah, he could for sure. He could. I think he's not that far off and he, he definitely could. Big, I can ask you a question like West Virginia by the way. Yeah. Did you see them ask Diego Pavia who he thought should be the Heisman winner and the Heisman front runner? He said himself. He said, uh, listen guys, if it's given to the best player, that's me. I was, but that's the Diego Pavia. Like, this is the same man who asked before the year said, we're going to be the national champions like season ends like this lifting the trophy. Like, that's who he is. And I think people who have that, um, this just like unflappable belief in themselves, they, they're overachievers. They do things they probably shouldn't do. And that's why you've a guy like him who was that fucking New Mexico military academy four or five years ago. And now he is Vanderbilt as the, even if they lose Tennessee, the most wins have had a program since 1915. What he's done, Vanderbilt is unprecedented. I think regardless winner lose, he should at least be at the Heisman ceremony because I think you could make a real argument that if this was like an MVP award, there's no one probably more valuable to their program, their team than Diego Pavia, the last year, really two years. This is why we need him in the playoff too, right? Yeah. Well, we had the fun. It'd be a lot of fun. We had this conversation on the cultural ball show too because it is like, we need the Pavia family there. We need his mom, Torcan. Like, she's, she's in the stadium, Torcan with her thigh high boots on. Like, I love everything about this family. This is pop off queen. She's got Theo Vaughn with her. I don't know. I just, I love this is a true college football family story. Can I pull back the Pavia sucking that this company does? Listen, he's a great player, phenomenal player. If you get to, if you get Vanderbilt to where he's gotten a phenomenal story and player, but to say we need him in the playoff, we don't need that motherfucker in the playoff. He needs to be in the playoff. I think they're best ones. No, I think I think I think he is infinitely more exciting than almost any other player when it comes like back against the wall, got to have and fighting against all odds. Like, who's a team? Like, I would much rather watch him than Carson back in the playoff. 10 out of 10 times. Yeah, but there's, there's 53 other players. I mean, there's 85 other players. Yeah, but fucking if they're both 10 and 10, I wouldn't mind seeing Tony the receiver in a playoff. I wouldn't mind seeing Rubin Bane in the playoff. I know. No, I, I think, I think Vanderbilt being in the playoff. But I, first of all, I think they're going to beat Tennessee and shake your head at me, Liam. But I, right. What? So you can talk one of one player. Yeah, that's what I said. I, yeah, I'm with brand on this one. Like, I, I, I, I, I don't know. You sure works. I'm stumped. You sure? I'm stumped. I have words. I'm stumped on that one. But it's, it's not, it's not just one. I mean, it's, it's not the, like, I think it's getting a little, it's, it's not like one player. They need, like, like, it's not a dud, like, without poverty. I don't, like, I don't think anyone's saying that, like, it would have been so sick to see this one player in the New Year six bowl. That would have been such a sick opportunity for him, then. But guys, that we, we've seen when one player goes out, teens have been left out of the playoff. Florida State lost their quarterback and they completely left out of the playoff. One player does matter. It's just, I mean, just remember, one player, not saying one player does not matter. That's not what's being said. One player does, America's Florida State looked like a six A high school team without, but I'm seeing, like, to, to say it, like, it's one player, I'm not, hey, I'm, you got it. Words. I, I'm, you got, hey, they lost to two or three, like six bill. Have I ever lost? You good? Yeah, I'm good. Okay. I'm just a bit, I'm just a bit stumped and dumbfell. We can't be given the spot to a playoff team. This is supposed to be as coveted, precious 12 team playoff to a team because of one player. Well, I'm just saying I'm a player. I know, but it's something because he's the one to see and they're ten and two. They've earned their way in. I'm saying, I'm just saying I would put from a pure TV entertainment standpoint. I would, uh, that's what's wrong with where was the hardest on this TV. It's all about revenue. It's all about TV mind TV ranks. This and that and not, you think a tenant to Miami is more deserving than a tenant to this isn't even what I'm arguing or upset about. I just think they, I just think that to say I, I, I, I, I, mean, I started the argument. I think the idea, we need Diego Pavey on the playoff. That's all. It's not like, it's, it's, it's just like a fun thing. I don't think I don't listen. I think winner lose. They're not getting our, obviously, they lose that out. But if they, if they win, I think they're probably still not going to get in the playoff. Agreed. That, that's my on, on less like Bama loses. Yeah. And like, or like old mist, like, and old mist loses. Like, because I, I saw that Miami will get put in over them because of the other game when they, like Miami will be at it. They're ahead of them now. They will continue to be ahead of them, unless they lose to pit. Obviously, unless like they, they drop the game. I think it's more just, I mean, I, I think I should be like, uh, I should be like grandfathered into the Pavey talk. I was so discussing early to it. Like, I should be allowed to say it in about like, everyone's on it now. I was saying it not this, I was saying it August last year before he took it a snap at Vanderbilt. So I, I, I will, I took offense to any Diego Pavey slander because of how early I was, I mean, I'm just saying dude, infinitely more interesting than Baron Morton and Ty Simpson. I love Bach Meyer, more interesting than Bach Meyer. Okay. All right. Uh, this got spicy. Hey, Tbop, do you have a, yeah, you want to, oh, speaking of Brandon, you want to join a little kick, join a little kick, whatever you want to kick to it, Tbop. Yeah. Yeah. Not Asian, but close Brandon Cajun, Cajun. That's right. I'm talking about Tony Saturie season and look, man, um, you got to understand if you're from Louisiana, you know, Tony's inside now because you've grown up putting Tony's on literally everything and I got
guys, I'm not exaggerating here. I'm talking pizza. I'm talking eggs. I'm talking gumbo. I'm talking nearly any kind of soup. I'm talking anything ever. You sprinkle little tonies on. See how it comes out. It's less salt more garlic. It's a clean hit of heat. And guess what? We got a new blend based in the Tony's traditions and like, you know, okay, you want to salt and pepper some up? No, no, no, use it in place. The salt pepper kick it to the next level that comes from Tony's satcheries. It's Tony's Cajun kick, the new seasoning blend. It comes with Tony's satches, but has more attitude. See, Bob, you ever salt your, uh, like your Bloody Mary rims with some Tony's. Yeah, yeah, absolutely. Yeah. It's like it's like, you know, when you order margarita, I like to get Tahine instead of, uh, instead of salt or or even Tony's on a margarita. Absolutely. So did you accidentally create a new, uh, a new food? Uh, what do you call it? A fusion? Like you said, Cajun and Asian at the same time, Cajun, is there? Yeah. So no, Cajun, yeah. Cajun actually exists. Um, V.A. Cajun crawfish are really good at originate out of Houston, um, which is a huge melting pot of different cuisines. But it's, uh, yeah, but, but again, Houston is like one of the ultimate culinary melting spots. But, uh, but yeah, V.A. Cajun crawfish is delicious. It's got this like kind of lemon grass angle to it. That's much different. But look, there's a huge tradition of Vietnamese people down the bayou that are shrimpers and whatnot. So the, the, the, yeah, the V.A. Cajun on me. Yeah, there you go. The V.A. Cajun combination is a, uh, the Cajun is a very real thing. You make chicken tenders for every meal. I, I eat so much more food than people give me a cry for. Do I love a chicken tender? Yeah. You're gonna kill me for it. No, it's fine. Love a chicken. I did ask Liam his favorite Thanksgiving food today. He said, I hate all Thanksgiving food. I just eat the mac and cheese and biscuit and, um, I mean, all two Thanksgiving food, well, two phenomenal points is like, hey, play a, if you like it so much, make it in July, make it in February, make it more. I'm sick of this. Put some effort in. I'm sick of this internet pushing back on Thanksgiving and turkey. Thank you. So just fucking thank you. We can have turkey once a year. You know why it's turkey? Because turkeys are gigantic and they feed a bunch of people and their promotes family coming together. You negative pieces. All right. I had to take hours to go. I had spaghetti for Thanksgiving as an 11 year old. I am afraid. I love turkey. Green mean casserole all day. By the way, mac and cheese is delicious. It's just a lot of Thanksgiving food. Talk to these all. No, no, no, fuck you. It is. Totally. Hold on. Hold on. Hold on. Hold on. Talk to everybody. Chill. Everybody. I'm on her team and then I just had to bail out. Everybody chill. Everybody chill. You should have it on Thanksgiving, but it is not. I would not calculate it as a thing. Things food. Well, mashed potatoes aren't on things in food either, but you better fucking have them. Well, of course, but I only mashed potatoes with steak. I like I'm like green bean casserole is my favorite absolute favorite dish. I make it every year. I'm only making it so I can have it with Thanksgiving. That's crazy. You want to have. Thank you. You have a green bean casserole once a week. Well, I agree, but I I only make it for Thanksgiving. I can eat mac and cheese and mashed potatoes with anything. It doesn't have to go with turkey. But green bean casserole with turkey and some dark gravy and some fucking hot sauce on top with the canned cranberry sauce. Oh, yeah. St. Les. St. Les. Do you ever last you put hot sauce on everything? Yeah. Everything. It's got it in my purse. I got. I mean, it's around bottles of hot sauce. It's kind of like, it's kind of like tonings in that way. You really can't throw it on anything. Yeah. It's in my bag. And any given time I have Tabasco and Frank's sometimes maybe some Chalula. Okay. Let's go around the room for the Cracker Barrel game of the week. This game of the week. Second is brought to you by Cracker Barrel. Cracker Barrel is giving you all the more of what you already love. Like probably a bunch of Thanksgiving foods, frankly. They're their hash brown casserole. I love that at Thanksgiving. It's even better than I remember. I always get the same feeling when I go to Cracker Barrel, just that warm feeling of coming home and getting good Southern food, good old fashioned soul food is what I call it. See how Cracker Barrel is bringing you more crave worthy comforts, country hospitality and all the more to enjoy. Swing by visit Cracker Barrel today. And Casey Smith, you will lead off the Cracker Barrel game of the week and don't be afraid to say it with your chest. Oh, I'm saying it. I'm saying it is Friday night, 730 Eastern kick and it is happening in Austin, Texas. It is A&M versus Texas. And as I mentioned earlier, you know, A&M isn't the playoff regardless of what happens for this game. They're not issuing for the SEC championship. So we've never played for an SEC championship. We haven't won a common championship since 1998 when I was nine years old. This game means everything. And last year was the first time that we had played since I was in college, which was a long time ago. This is a massive, massive game, not just for A&M and for Texas, but just as a whole of Mike Elko in this culture, because even though you're going to the playoff, if you don't beat Texas, there's always going to be a little bit of a, a little bit of rust on it. So I'm excited. You know, Arch looked, the best he's looked all year. Last week against Arkansas. Arkansas is not very good, but it doesn't matter. This is everything. This game is like the growing up, you fucking hate Texas. You hate A&M. If you're a Texas fan, I used to cry all the time. If we lost, I would just cry. I go to school and I would just cry. I will probably be doing that on Friday, regardless of what happens. Just crying my eyes out. This game is fucking awesome. I'm so glad it's back. And if we go 12 and O and beat Texas, you guys think I've been annoying before? Watch the fuck out. Watch the fuck. And if you guys lose to Texas and don't win another game this year, watch out. What do you mean? Well, if you guys lose to Texas and then you limp into the playoff and then you prove that you were a product of your schedule, it might go crazy. This is, and we've had these arguments on this. You said watch out. I can say watch out. No, no, no, I know. But I, we've had these arguments on these, on these shows and, and you know, everybody lands different plays like it does matter where teams were ranked when you play them. Like we can't do revisionist issue. It doesn't absolutely does. It does. It absolutely does. That's the whole point of the season. So though, for me, it's like, yes, like at the end of the, the schedule, A&M has played all the worst teams. But going into the season, that is not what anybody anticipated. None of us. We had, but like, no, we, it doesn't matter. They had the most sagger in top 40 wins, Brandon. Yay. What we anticipated doesn't matter. Like, no, and what you, what you said, and not really use much, but Texas A&M fans have said, well, we beat South Carolina. There were preseason number 13. Who gives a shit? Okay, hold on. I have not, I have not said anything about preseason like that, because I think preseason rankings are stupid. But we do have to take them into consideration when you're playing. I mean, like people on this very podcast had LSU in the national, or in the, the playoff race. People said that doesn't matter because we're not, we, we don't know what they are. But, but how, so, so what is, what is a team like A&M supposed to do? Like, just not like, okay, it's not a beauty contest. You don't have to make excuses for anything. You can just say, fuck you. We want our games. Like, you don't have to say, oh, well, we just played our schedule. Yeah, you just played your schedule. But if I'm evaluating going forward, I'm going to look at your schedule and be like, now, wait a minute. They hadn't beat anybody except for Notre Dame. What's now standing when the point is crazy. You have on the road in Notre Dame. But more so than that, you beat Texas. And nobody could say anything. Yeah, because you're undefeated. You go through your clean sheet. Well, yeah, you know, the undefeated thing. Yes. But I do. And I'm bright and I, I may be speaking for, for you without putting words in your mouth. But I do feel like there's a little bit more stink behind it because of how Aggie fans have been on your ass. I don't blame you. But at the end of the day, like every, when we talk about the SEC, when we talk about the SEC as a whole, every single year, I'm not, I'm not just singling out A&M. When we talk about the SEC, it's like, if you win in the SEC, regardless of who you're playing, then that is a good win. That is a good season. It was more just than ever. Like, oh, we won the SEC. It has to be good. Like, I don't fully, but I want to say, but I want to say to you, I think the same high little that he just, that friend just laid out for you would be the same for Ohio State of Ohio State just lost a mission and lost in the first round to play off. We'd be frauds. Like, there we know two ways about it. We would 100% be frauds. 100% but nobody, but nobody's making that argument when Ohio State hasn't played anybody. No, but, no, but I also would, but you know, but I think it's a parallel argument that like, if it also happened to Ohio State, you could say the same exact thing. And it would be a completely warranted and fair. I would own that. If it, I think that now is probably not the time to have the schedule merchant conversation. No, but it's what I notice. Maybe it is more because it's our bubble. But what I'm noticing is like, we did it on the college football show where it's like, Dan's like, well, let's go down A&M schedule. Let's do the play. But nobody does it with any other team right now. But A&M people, people have said about how
You know you're like, but people of Casey I would say credit while also being like you play nobody then also because because if you want to see the rank thing Then it'd be like the ranked at the time thing when we had text. They were number one. Are you gonna sit in pretend? I have another same thing to to to to Indiana and the same thing the text was last year. I've done that But so you're saying that you think a and M is fraudulent because you said in Indiana. What's fraudulent? He's saying if they if they lost and then lost again, they would be frauds Which at the same for a high state if we lost this week and then lost the first playoff game. We are frauds I will I will be the first one to be like weren't we were fucking totally frauds I was completely wrong about this team. They fucking stink. They were never the number one team if they were to lose the Michigan And then losing the first round of the play. I don't want to be losing to your rival is Would make you fraudulent if you've won whether it's the big 10 or the SEC I'm not just saying the SEC just in general because every year whoever whatever Conference your team plays and you're like if you can win every single week in this conference Then you're a good team and I we had this with the SEC in the big 10 all year It's like well, which conference is easier to plan a nim's 11 and oh I don't think you're gonna lose to Texas, but like to still be 11 and oh in the SEC or the big 10 is an accomplishment Does it make you a fraud if you lose a game? No, it's the two games. They're a good team. If they lose beat Texas I still would think they're a good team if they want if they lost to Texas and then immediately lost the next one I'd be like I've absolutely said that about Indiana and other teams many many times before there's a good way to stop this though We have a coaching hire ladies and gentlemen. We have a coaching hire I Tasted William Blutman yesterday afternoon, and what did I say to you Liam Blutman? Eric Morris Oklahoma states done deal Eric Morris Oklahoma state done deal North Texas head coach Eric Morris is expected to become the next coach at Oklahoma state Morris will coach out you and T's remaining games hmm and Boy, I'm getting an interesting call right now. Oh, yeah, it's like Bell No, boy, I'm getting an interesting call take take call. We can cut it Close trace Armstrong did trace Armstrong take the call your call. It's fine. It's fine. It's fine But anyway, Oklahoma state has my made their hire. It is Eric Morris from North Texas. It's a terrific hire. Yeah, great Tiger I say 95% chance Mass maker goes with them. That's a big arm in the big Oklahoma state could expedite the rebuild Arkansas's top option was Eric Morris He chooses Oklahoma state over him. I know a few other names that were in the Arkansas in the Polish business I potentially yeah, I'm trying to find out more about that I know other names in the Oklahoma state job. I know Colin Klein was very very in the mix for the Oklahoma state job And he was like at the finish line some Morris gets the job over him Great hire for Oklahoma state like Legimately probably the best hire that they could have made. I heard that there Gina was talking me like two months ago right away Think it's gonna be Zach Robinson that would have been disastrous Yes, that would have been terrible Morrison Crabble hired they get the quarterback whisper and we'll see what happens in the future I mean, that's a thing that Morris has. It's the best talent anybody could possibly have in the game of football He just has the ability to find great quarterbacks There's there's almost nothing more important too, and he said it really consistently Baker Mayfield Patrick Mahomes cam ward now Mestemaker who never even played quarterback in high school God when we had him on Wub he rattled off a couple others that I wasn't even aware of But yeah, it's it's and they're all guys that were severely under recruited that he saw the talent of when when others did not It's even just the guys that he's had on his roster too like he took a Tim Levit was going to be committed to him John Matier I believe as well Yeah, like he took Reese Poffenberger on on To battle Drew Mestemaker this off season and get the better out both them Poffenberger was a stud at Albany backed up cam ward at Miami last season And he's just always got really good wide receivers on his themes as well, which you know Some say the quarterback and why you're sure go hand in hand. Yeah, but anybody that found Drew Poffenberger They're going to put Mike Leach in the college football Hall of Fame, right? They better they better because like his impact when you look at all the coaches that are dominating football now that came out of kind of his School of thought or school directly is it is wide-reaching the man literally at hand and revolutionizing the game All right big af The cracker bell game of the week is It's the game. What do we I mean even have a segment for that one you only pick a different one I pick whatever you want pick whatever you want No, because sometimes you get mad at me because I try to not do that. Hey, you do you you do you No, I was gonna pick it there. I'll go Honestly, the one I generally meant like one bad side of my own game to watch the most It's it is honestly bam Auburn like I think that game is so fascinating Because I really think Auburn can win the game and I really think they match up well with them Just they're at home defense is really good. They put in this new quarterback I don't think Bama's defense is world beaters by any means like I think Auburn is super through life to win this game And the chaos that would ensue Auburn wins this game. I think it's worth the price of admission and I think that's why I'm so excited for because they could be like it Under the radar game that like there's definitely like better games like on paper, but I think this is just a game that I really Excited to watch because it's so close. It's such a heated rivalry. It's Auburn playing spoiler It's kind of Auburn is the ability to kind of do what like Michigan did last year I get the spreads a lot smaller, but we're like their season's done like they're not really playing for anything other than to just Ruin Auburn season maybe get their coach fired or on the hot seat or get him to leave who knows And like I said, just match up wise. I think it's fascinating and I think Auburn has a really good shot to win. So yeah, iron bowl. Yeah Yeah, and I'd be killing the board like as you checked out, right? I mean, there's all kind of talk to pinstay his names out there Yeah His name is out there Who's the idiot that it was a it was a very well-respected guy that said Auburn Alabama the armbo is good rivalry, but it's nowhere near the stratosphere of Michigan Ohio State Yet is it is certainly it's the number one rivalry in the sport Ohio State Michigan is very good and has had better stakes in the recent decades But Auburn Alabama they shoot each other guys. They fucking shoot each other and not not just like shoot at each other They like kill each other. Don't don't don't test what could happen after this game on either side Yeah, don't don't tend to don't come don't shooting over any time don't tend to take Brandon We also don't condone stabbing your teammates in the breakfast line. No, we don't have more before games on Saturday That's all for all over sausage patties or sausage links No, there's a fight that carried over from Friday I'm never gonna stab anybody, but if I was if I did it would probably be over breakfast food Well, I mean look the other answer if you're talking about a buffet sausage links are the best thing in the buffet agreed yes Well, I was gonna say patties or links Give me the right answer in a buffet setting link. I got to go back to my sweet lilo Asian gal. Why not both Hey, can we better on the All right tea Bob. What is your cracker barrel game the week? By the way, so I guess since we get to weigh in on those games really I do think A&M's gonna actually handle text I think they're gonna make a bit of a statement win and I agree with everything said on the the the Auburn front Auburn very very live here My game of the week is Going to be wait. Why am I flanking right now um oh done the edgel the edgel so Brandon I'm not gonna get too into it because I want to let you have more of it, but I've always had a very special place for my heart and in in the edgel I have no rivalry to speak of and I think that there is um Something beautiful About the amount of hate in this rivalry a rivalry that has largely not held a lot of national relevance Yet means everything to everybody involved. I love the wonderful quirky nature of the name egg bowl Quintitently probably one of my favorite parts about Thanksgiving is eating like 36 deviled eggs And and and and like one of the best parts of Thanksgiving is being drunk at the end of the day so full And stuffing those last few deviled eggs in as I watch this game descend into madness and drama So uh, yeah, I cannot wait for the egg bowl and now and now I'm talking to you selfishly the Lane Kiven angle obviously means that it has Relevance to to myself. I mean Lane Kiven has to win this game right Because right now he's kind of getting away and I'm not saying if he's leaving. Why does he give a fuck if he's not to obtain So I'm not saying functionally. I'm not saying functionally. Yeah, but from a legacy and reputation standpoint He's kind of getting away right now with being like a cute asshole because he's winning But if you lose this game you just look like a fucking asshole If you stay or lead You just look like a fucking asshole who completely checked out and made a bunch of needless drama When your team and yourself run the verge of something great. Oh good. Like reputationally. This is Massive for Kifford. I didn't even consider about losing and lead losing and staying as a crazy combination Yeah, if you lose you gotta leave
If he actually was a hundred percent leaving, though, he shouldn't even coach the game. Ole Miss shouldn't let him coach the game. If they know he's leaving and he knows he's leaving, which is why I feel like he's trying to gaslight Ole Miss in a making the decision because he's telling them he wants to coach the playoff no matter what. Right? He's gonna break up with him. Like that's what he's doing. That's what it feels like. That's what he's trying to do. Yeah. I don't believe that if they knew for sure he was leaving, there's just no way I would let that man be on the sideline. He's staying. It's a dog in pony show. He's just trying to be a hero. That's all he's doing. It's the Egg Bowl. The Cracker Barrel game of the week is the Egg Bowl. I don't care if it stays or goes. Doesn't matter to me. I care about Mississippi State football. I care about a team who's five and six and looking to go to a bowl game for the first time in a couple of years since our untimely death of our coach who, by the way, went nine and four and beat Lane Kiffin's ass in his last game ever and if he hadn't died, none of this would have happened. Mississippi State needs just when to go to a bowl. I remember 2017. It was Dan Mullins last egg bowl. He stayed for nine seasons in Mississippi State, accomplished a lot of great things and went in his last egg bowl. Ole Miss came in as I believe double digit underdogs in one because he was checked out. He had the far away going looking his eyes, the thousand yard stare and if, if Lane is leaving, he's not leaving. I guarantee you that. If he's leaving, that stare is going to be there on Friday because she's not going to mean as much to him as it would have. But he's not leaving. It's a dog and pony show. I promise you, I guarantee you. If he does end up leaving, I'll, I'll Venmo Liam blood on a thousand dollars cash. What about me? What about you? What do you mean? What about me? I don't know. Why not both of us? I thought, yeah, why not? I know how perfectly I'm not what's beautiful. I was trying to see maybe I could just catch you, maybe we're throwing out thousands. It's the egg bowl. It's the most important game of the season for us because it gets us to a bowl. It might knock them out of the playoff. It might send this asshole to somewhere else, like it's just gigantic. It's the biggest one I can remember in state for a couple of years and that's all I won't say about it because I don't want to do it. No, Brandon, it goes back to the same question that T-bob ask, Ev and I spoke on it too. I mean, I know you and I have talked about this privately for years and probably even on the shows. Like, you can lose every single other game and beat Ole Miss and you would be happy. Well, that's not true, but that's not because, but let's just say hypothetically, if Ole Miss was going to miss the playoff because you beat them and you lost every other game, that would make you very happy. I'd be pissed wondering how we lost every other game. It would be a nice exit, it would be a nice springboard in the offseason though. It'd be better than going 111 and beating Ole Miss would be better than going 12 and losing to him. I'll give you that, but anyway, Liam, the cracker ball game of the week. Man, I love when the egg bowl is played on Thanksgiving, so it is going to be a bit sad, not sad, but man, I just love watching that on Thanksgiving, a little night Thanksgiving egg bowl. I'll be in the morning on Friday with our Black Friday, Black Friday, Friday night, A&M Texas. That's, you know, like we could talk about Ohio State Michigan more, but we did in different segments. So, it's this game for me. Is A&M legit? Is Texas better than I gave them credit for? I don't know. We're going to find out big test for archmaning. When we're talking about the Heisman, it's just, "Oh, look at that guy on offense." I know Jacob Rodriguez is out there. I know Travis Hunter both ways won it last year, but like A&M's best player is Cassius Howe. A&M's best representative for the Heisman should be Cassius Howe. They should have done a better job promoting the edge rusher, the feared game wrecker, the fear monger, Cassius Howe could make archmaning's life miserable. All the mannings coming together Thanksgiving weekend and Cassius Howe takes a bite of that turkey leg and says, "Hey, play a, I own this family now. I don't know. That could be something cool. I'm excited to watch that game, though, man." Talk dirty to me, Liam. I love it. I'm also not making a pick for a game. I don't know who's going to win the game. I'm not making a. No, but I mean, the scenario that you just laid out is fair. He's going on, isn't he? To highlight, though, the talent in this game, I mean, Colin Simmons is in this game, too. If you're looking at CC stack numbers, they're one and two, they're five and six in TFL's. Like yeah, I know I mentioned Armace and Thomas earlier, but yeah, Colin Simmons and Cassius Howe, two of the guys to watch this week when you're watching that game. Hey, Brandon, you know A&M's going to win this game? Why? Do you really want to know? I got the key. Do you? I'd like to know. Yeah, sure. I thought it was going to be an ad and it basically wasn't ad. I think this might be a long play. He's just on the Tommy Moffat payroll. We just don't know it. No. No, he paid for a year of free marketing from TFL. He was, when he was out the game, he created the Moffat method, which was a workout plan that he was selling. So I mean, hey, dude, how do you know I'm not getting Moffat method kickbacks? He's the number one guy for PR for Tommy Moffat and I'm all for it. I love Tommy Moffat. We'll just start hyping up Marriotti. Is that your guy? He's been at, but I say like forever. Well, fucking show a little sky and that hype up Marriotti. You guys might remember this. This is probably going back like, let me say 10 to 10ish 12 years. We had a, we had like a streak, I guess not a streak, I wasn't naked, but had a guy like a student or something run on the field on the spring game in Marriotti. It's like suplex to lose unbelievable. There's like a viral, like a picture of a full like mid air, like guys legs are in the air, just like slammed them on the turf. Can you say unbelievable moment? I love that. I love that. Yes, yes, Brandon. What's your player to watch this week? Well, I'm just, I mean, I'm going to do this. It's, it's definitely Marcel Reed or Archmaning, either one, I hope Archmaning is not, you know, I hope it's fun for me to watch, not Texas fans, but, you know, this, this is the week with, with rivalry games, you're allowed to pick your teams, but I mean, yeah, the, the high's been raised, you know, he's, he's in some conversations. He's up there. And, you know, other than that really bad half against South Carolina, which was abysmal, like this is a huge game for him as well for, for Marcel to, to put up the numbers and, you know, to go into Austin and, and connect with those receivers and uses legs and all of those things. And also just like Archmaning has looked better. I mean, you go back and you look at the way he played against Ohio State, you know, this is going to be the next best defense that they've faced all season. He's a different quarterback, but yeah, it's absolutely more so I'll be wearing my Marcel Jersey. Probably Thursday and Friday. I'll be wearing it on Saturday, too. If we win, win, win, win, we're in that number 10 team up. What is in his mouth? No, no, come back to me. Oh, it's, uh, Sully. It's Sully from Monster's Inc. Oh. Come back to me. Do you want to put your Mike Wazowski? No, I don't have my, but I do have, I do have buzz riding, uh, Doug the dog here from top. Big Ev, who's your player to watch? I, I think I'm getting cute here, but I think Carnell takes. I just want to know if he's actually, he's going to play. I think I'm very, very interested if one carnell tape is going to be playing in this football game. Jeremiah, thank God, has went on record and said, I'll be ready. I'm playing in this game, uh, out of his mouth himself. But yeah, carnell tape, but I'll say relancer on it, Julian saying, I, I want to against a good defense on the road. Show me. Be the Heisman. Show the world why you the Heisman trophy winner. This is the moment right here right now. True. What's it? T-Bub, player to watch. No, no, no, no, come back to me. Good God. Uh, Liam, player to watch. Oh, I'll tell him off. It's guys for sure. Uh, Ismail, Maddie, Kendrick, Riscano and Quincy Craig. Those are the three Arizona Ryingbacks that I've been doing lethal damage. That's a game. Super under radar game this week. The one that does it very fun to watch. We're getting on Friday night on Fox. Both teams have eight wins. Arizona, the road favorite here, Arizona against under spec, super excited to watch this game. Always fun. Always contentious. Hopefully see some, uh, maybe, maybe a fighter to I, I'd be entailed to, uh, Kelly Jones, another player to watch, corner, Mississippi state, uh, Ole Miss gonna throw the ball with a challenge. Are they gonna test Kelly six foot four overwhelms or sewers? I walked into that main area in the office last week and I is here smoot talking up Kelly to Grootin. Ah, start giggling. That was so exciting to see I love Kelly Jones. You love Kelly Jones. Third player to watch. Also SEC. Well, sorry. One, two, three, four, fifth player to watch. Keldrick Falk by the time that we get to the 2026 NFL draft. It will not surprise me, Liam Blutman one bit of Keldrick Falk is the first overall pick or to be safe, the first non quarterback drafted. This is a game wrecking athletic freak off the edge. We're gonna see what he could do against Alabama. If Auburn's pulling off this upset, they're going to need big time pressure off the edge to disrupt Ty Simpson, put him in a blender. Keldrick Falk all season long has been stuck on a bad Auburn team performing well but not getting the praise he deserves, Keldrick Falk could be in for a. Big time iron bull performance. I like that one lamb. That's good. All right. My player to watch Big F shows the wrong Ohio state receiver. It is Jeremiah Smith with all this talk about a Heisman that's Heisman that. Oh, Jeremiah loves actually the best player. Diego Pavia says he's the best player will the real best player in the country stand up because his name is Jeremiah Smith. And they've been holding him back and holding him back and holding back. Well, guess what? It ain't hold back time no more. You've got Michigan on the road. Last year, it was run run putt run run pass putt run run pass putt this year is going to be pass pass extra point. And that is because Jeremiah Smith is the best player in College Woodball biggest game. And don't be shocked. If after the next two weeks, he comes from absolutely nowhere and wins the Heisman trophy. That is all I see that world. I could see it. Well, we were we look up and go guys, we knew who the best player was all along. Why do we why do we play fuck fuck for 11 weeks? And then all of a sudden he has, yeah, he and you look at his stats like, hey, those he missed a couple of games and he still has 15 touchdowns and 1500 yards. Yeah. You know, you're going to do what you did last year when he saw Ohio State was going to win the national championship and you bow them on the show. Jeremiah Smith. I know I've already bet him, but I got bet him again. Plus what's he got right now? Boys. It's like plus 6,000. No, what 200 one. It's plus 20. What is it? Like 20,000, 200. Oh, wow. Jeremiah's for this plus 20,000. Yeah, there was there was major odds movement. How could you not bet? I'm not sure what he was before. But like Jeremiah love was saying at 4,000. What last week? He's all the way up to what where is he on draft King? Sorry, this is in the way. Jeremiah loves plus 350 right now. I know yesterday he was like 800. 20,000. Well, while while you're talking about that, let me just get a draft King three and really quick rivalry week is here where history pride and playoff dreams are all on the line. Like Liam is pulling it up right now. You can go look all the futures with everything. Same odds as I play a broadry guys just put $100 to win 20,000. Good God. All right, I'm ready for our play week. Big customer. Let's go. All right, again, I'm with I'm with Liam. There's a few here that you could go with. But I think it has to start with Michael van Buren LSU quarterback. Absolutely massive game in Norman. Uh, I mean, can you can you can you kick Oklahoma out of the playoff a story rivalry updates all the way back to last season to end the year? We've been doing this rivalry game Brandon since I was 35 years old and I'm 36 now. Okay. So it means something. Uh, Michael van Buren player to watch also Diego Pavia. He's been incredible as of late. Uh, he continued to stack these massive stat games. Fugos end to Tennessee comes out of the win against a good Tennessee team. I think he pushes himself to New York. We mentioned college Simmons, a cash is howl and a and M Texas that feels like a game that if it is close, game breaking strip set to be the difference both those guys very capable of being the guy even I put my thumb on the skill for howl because of the end of civility of Marcel Reed versus arch manning. How about Haynes King running it back against Georgia Tech after last season, hate to this game is in the Mercedes Benz dome. Wish it wasn't, uh, wish was Bobby dog. But like remember how much fun Haynes King was to watch last Black Friday, the entire country dialed in as he fucking beat his body to shit. Just absolutely sacrificed everything has had only to fall just short gig Georgia tech somehow get off the mat. And then finally, uh, Trinidad Chambers in an era of in this just huge hurricane of bad vibes that Lane Kippin has created. Shameless has been a kind of warm respite as he reminds old miss fans that looked no matter what Lane says, we are locked in and we are on the island time. Those are my players. Next year, I'll be changing the name of this category from the player to watch to name every player you guys can fucking think of. Now look, man, it's rivalry. It's why we week, you know, there's a lot going on upset, upset alert, Casey Smith. Uh, we've talked about Vanderbilt, but I think Tennessee is on is on true upset alert. It's in Knoxville. It's like the 330 kick and, you know, Vandy has not just the best season, you know, the best couple seasons they've had with Diego Bobby on the line, but they, I understand that's the playoff bubble, but depending on what else happens, like they, they're playing for a playoff spot. And this is the old classic Casey, this is the old classic thing of the argument we've had a billion times. It's a billion times. Like Vanderbilt's ranked number 14 in the country, Tennessee is unranked. Vanderbilt beating them's on an upset. Well, it is, but because the odds, they're not favorite. That's not an upset. It's not how upsets work. Are they are they plus money? Each condom an upset Brandon. This is one of those little like, uh, yeah, I just did like this six seven. I mean, I'm a lot of seven. There you go. Hey, if you're allowed to pick them as an underdog pick on draft Kings, they are not favorite to win the game, which means it would be an upset. That's how that works. It's not. Well, then why am I allowed to pick it for an upset then? What like, it is, I mean, I mean, your blood pick is an underdog parlay, but like it's not an upset of 14 beats an unranked team. Well, it is from according to Vegas. The order goes out west, Brandon. Brandon Walker is saying there's a difference between when I have been on this side on this one as long as I've lived. Congratulations. Okay. It's her pick. It's her pick. It's her pick. Don't stop. Go ahead. Sorry. My bad. It's her pick. It's her pick. That's your pick. They're plus money. So yes, I, I picked them for that. Tbop. What is your upset alert? All right, Brandon. I've got seven of them. So lock in. Uh, no, not really. It's, uh, it's, it's Miami. Uh, Miami at Pittsburgh, uh, Heinzschel's hot right now. Narduzzi gives a fuck about this game. Narduzzi made that weird prophecy two weeks ago. It's a three-legged prophecy. I don't give a fuck about Notre Dame. All it matters to the next two. He passed test number one with flying colors. And if you're asking me if Christopher was going to shit the bed when it matters most, I'll always say that door is wide open. So yeah, Miami, heading to pit, seven point favorites. And comedy can have a little sum thumb for him. Big help. He already talked about, I think Bama's big time on upset alert. Yeah, all the pressures on them, Bama, or Auburn playing fast and loose at home. Nothing to lose. A lot to a lot of fun to gain and ending their season. Your archbiter rival season. Um, they've underachieved all year, but they have the talent we've seen it all along. The defense is incredible. I mean, maybe they found something with this new quarterback. I know as it gets mercer. Let's see. They get to real team now. They have elite receivers. I didn't get anything. I know he had a lot of things running the ball last week. We get anything out of his arm. Some lethal weapons to take advantage of on the outside. I think Auburn wants the games. I think Bama is firmly on upset alert. And Liam Blutman. I'm in lockstep with both T-bob and big EVE. Uh, give me. Yeah, give me the Auburn over Alabama one. I was actually flirting with Eastern Michigan, though, or Western Michigan as well. But I'll do. I'll do Auburn, Alabama. Everything I talked about with Kendrick Falk being a game record, making the statement, changing the game on a heel. I want to see him do that. I want to see him go up against Kate and Proctor and take his lunch money. I am very excited for his game. I mean, we all are. The Iron Bull has some of my best college football memories. I've had my life is a surreal game to watch. I want the wacky. I, I, I am here to see a wacky Auburn win in the world in Tuscaloosa set on fire. The program that you guys declared dead after they lost the Florida state. The program that would not be dead, but would be in disarray with. Oh, Kayl and the board see is hotter than the sun. We firing him or see a strap leaving on his own accord. I, I would pay a few dollar bills of what you then most.
me to go and say this happens. I really would. I want to see Tuscaloos a freak out again. Yeah. Am I wrong for that? Yeah. You're good. No. No. I'm sorry. I want to see it again and maybe again in a few years. I don't know. I go last night. I go last on these categories and sometimes I get surprised and shocked when things fall to me. So Alabama on upset alerts. Certainly. Yes. It's all miss on upset alert with all that's going on around their world. Yeah. They're on upset alert. But you know, this is something big F spotted in August. It's something you spotted in August. Yeah. Yeah. How's Oregon? Not on upset alert going to Washington. Oregon coming off the USC when in home. They're if they finish 10 and two, they're probably in the playoff. But listen, it's going to get tight on that back half of the of 10, 11 and 12. And if you if Oregon were to go to Washington and put themselves in a 10 and two situation, they could really be risking losing that playoff spot. Oregon at Washington, it opened at 11. It's six and a half right now. Washington is a quiet, a quiet eight and nine. Why new men crazy, a quiet eight and three. But listen, they there's talent there. And we've been expecting Washington to get somebody all year. Why not now? And Dan landing. You look at his history at Oregon. He's won some big games. Guess who he's lost to in some big spots. The Washington Huskies over and over again. Oregon is the number one upset alert team. And it is not close. That's crazy. I like the pick. I do like the pick. I mean, I said, I liked it in August. I like it now too. Upside alert doesn't mean this team's going to lose. I think Alabama is by the way going to lose. Upside alert is like watch the fuck out, dude, because it's dangerous out there. And Oregon, you better watch the fuck out in Washington. You know, they live to ruin your season. And they could. Casey, you got any any more? So Luke, Luke, he sent me the game time screenshots to go into Ohio State Michigan. Tickets are looking good. Folks, like any day, they've got a lot of tickets available right now. We go pretty quickly on this one. I believe we got to get on out of here. Under the radar game, Casey Smith. So the game itself is a disgusting game, but we've talked a lot about Jeremiah love. It's Notre Dame Stanford. It's late, late, late Saturday. And I mean, Jeremiah love, you know, he can keep his name in the conversation. He's going to have to do that with a massive game this weekend because he won't be playing on conference championship weekend because we know that whole Notre Dame song and dance. But I mean, Stanford, you know, we saw what Andrew love was doing last week. And he's fun. And it's a fun clip and all that. But I think Jeremiah love could have an absolute just monster game against that defense. And while it doesn't matter whatsoever for the playoff loss, unless somehow our playoff picture, unless somehow Stanford was to win that game, it's massive for him. It's high price. Love's going to be a lot of fun to watch. I wonder if he'll have like 10 carries for 300 yards this time. That'd be sick. And he somehow also stand for kind of a little let down after the big winning against Cal. Yeah. Right. Come on. Come on. This season should have been over. That's insane. Like they ended. That was like their good note. There may be this kind of just who cares? Notre Dame. We beat we beat Cal. Great win. Got the X got their coach fire. I love Andrew Luxe. Thank you. He was yelling balls during the interview and all that. Big of your under the radar game. Honestly, to me, I think it's Georgia, Georgia tech. Like I understand that it's lost steam. Like I know it's on a conference game. It's not at Bobby Dodd. I think Liam said that I agree would be or maybe Brandon said it'd be so much better if the game was at Bobby Dodd. It should be. It's kind of doing a disservice to Jordan attack in my opinion, but regardless, I think this is a fun game. And I think Georgia tech hangs in this game. I understand like they have to get the tough loss last week. So their seasons cut their seasons is essentially over after this game. They're going to bowl game, obviously, but I think Georgia tech can hang around. I think they get everything they can handle. I think Georgia will ultimately win the game. But I think this is the fun game really under the radar. What do you go first for what? Well, can T-bop go? Yeah, I'm just saying, sorry, T-bop. Yeah, under the radar game. All right, Brandon, you're going to love this one. It's SMU at Cal. That's right, baby. SMU controls their own destiny. Once again, win and you're in Cal just fires, Justin Wilcox will probably looking in the mustangs going to back to back playoffs. How about it guys? Jennings may actually be the player to watch. And we didn't even mention him. I would also say actually for James Tech, Virginia, pretty awesome as well, just because what's in the line for Virginia. So I'm watching a couple of these under the radar, ACC games that can end up having massive massive impacts. Liam, there's our boy, Jay, Ron Cal, a Sangapol who tell a stay at Cal. Water gun to my head. Yes. Okay. Um, I think I, Justin Wilcox pretty much got fired a month and a half ago. I, I don't know. Jay, Ron, I feel like stays there. I think Sean Lewis and Tosh, LuPoy are the two names that they're going after hardest right now. Tosh cares greatly about the program played there. Jay, people forget that like JKS is, he, he did go to Cal for, he was going to Cal first. He had flipped to Oregon because Mendoza said he was going to stay and then didn't fall through on his word and went to Illinois. So then to Indiana, sorry, idiot brain moment there. And then JKS goes to Oregon and then comes back to Cal because he is loyal to it. Yeah. They're going to have to pay them. Lots of them under the radar game. Well, San Diego, state, New Mexico and the, and the whole mountain, the last race, the Mount West is a log jam right now, seeing who ends up in the title game. Uh, Thanksgiving ball with Navy Memphis, this bowling green U-mass game going on as we speak 14, nothing bowling green. And I'll go last. And once again, I have to pick up the mess made by everybody. rivalry week, rivalry week, rivalry week, Miami and pit. Are playing with some stakes like a pit beats Miami. Miami falls all, Miami might be a playoff team. If there's a loss or an unexpected thing, one of these, the winner of this is getting in the ACC title game. Like this is if, if Miami was to win this and somebody else loses was in Virginia or SMU or SMU, but that doesn't have an SMU not to the Mustangs, but yeah. So, so like, I think Miami and pits just a low key, gigantic game hiding hiding amongst the thorns of all these rivalry games. This is a huge, huge football game or could be. Um, how in the world is it though that Miami and pit are playing and yet it's Virginia, Virginia tech and SMU Cal that actually determines the ACC championship. What a weird Kyle. I also think like, like, Duke's path is not, is not crazy. Duke's literally never gonna die that we could be talking about the 2025 season in 2043 still trying to figure out how Duke could make the playoff one more since the TCU. If TCU loses to Cynthia, expect, a head coaching change at TCU. Wow. Wow. That's a lot. All right. We got one more category. We'll go quickly after that. We're going to put our dog parlay together real quick. The chase for the championship is on conference titles. Playoff hopes everything's on the line now. A single loss in November can end at all. No one's get too close to the college football action.
