Revival of The Hungry | Pastor Aaron Bounds

In this sermon, Pastor Aaron Bounds of Anchor Church in Zangelo, Ohio, delivers a passionate message titled “The Revival of the Hungry.” He opens by thanking Sister Kendra for ministering to young people and emphasizes that God has a divine purpose for each person. The core teaching is drawn from Luke 14, where Jesus tells a parable about a man who prepares a great supper but finds that invited guests make excuses—such as buying land, testing oxen, or marrying a wife—to avoid attending. The master then commands his servant to bring in the poor, maimed, halt, and blind, and later to compel others from the highways and hedges to fill the house. Bounds applies this to the church, urging believers not to be too busy with worldly concerns to miss what God is doing. He warns that the last days are perilous, marked by selfishness, blasphemy, and deception, but also a time of spiritual outpouring as prophesied in Joel. He declares that America is not doomed; instead, a great awakening is coming, especially among young adults tired of anti-God culture. Bounds prophesies that millions will be filled with the Holy Ghost, leading to repentance and revival. He stresses that the gospel is for everyone, regardless of social status, and that Jesus offers rest and transformation to the hungry and broken. The sermon calls for a full house in church and a readiness to participate in God’s end-time move.

(upbeat music) - Hello, this is Aaron Bounds, pastor of the Anchor Church located in Zangelo, Ohio. I wanna say thanks for tuning in today. I hope this podcast inspires you, encourages you, and helps you to live the life God called you to live. (upbeat music) - Hello, Lluya. Hey, man, thank you, sister Kendra, for pouring out to us in the 10 AM, as well, Friday and Saturday, speaking to our young people, our young adults, and for that, we're very grateful. There's such a call of God in this room right now. I've been in a lot of church services, in this church, in 21 years. Today is special. Today is special. But God is joining us. He's also gonna do through us. Paul told Timothy, he said, it's not only gonna save you, speaking to the Word, but it's gonna save them that hear you. God never intended just to save you, but to speak through you. There is a divine purpose for each and every person in this building right now. A divine purpose. It's not a Sunday event. It's a life that you live. We gather here to celebrate what God has done through our week. Come back and get refuelled, so what we can go do another week, because you're the light of the world, a city set on the hill that cannot be hidden. Thank God for the church. Hey, man, Luke 14, Luke 14, the scripture tells us, in verse 16, I will read this, I preached about it last week. Truth of the matter is, my title didn't surely match what I preached. I should have just titled it busy. I don't wanna be too busy to miss what he's doing. We're the Lamarke Orange. We're glad you're here. This is your official service. I've been a member of the anchor church, and we're so glad you're here. (congregation applauding) Then said he unto him, a certain man made a great supper, and Bade were invited many, everybody say many. I mean, it's for a lot. It's not for a few. It's for a lot. And sin has served in a separate time to them that were bidding, and Matthew 22, it calls the sons to come. The sin has served in a separate time to say to them that were biddened, come for all things, or the keyword here is now. Everybody shall now. For all things are now ready. My mom didn't like it when I showed up late for dinner. It calls it cold. She didn't like it either when I was reaching in the pantry and getting a brownie before dinner time. And they all with one consent began to make excuses. It almost appears everybody that's invited has a reason why they can't come. The first sitting in them, I have bought a piece of ground, and I must needs go and see it. I pray the ham excused. Another said, "I have bought five Yoke of oxen, and I go to prove them." I pray the ham excused. Another said, "I have the mark and lake and listen to me." I have married a wife, and therefore I cannot come. And another said, "It goes on verse 21, so that servant came and showed his Lord these things. Then the master of the house, they're all making excuses why they can't be here. What's going on in their world is more important than what you're doing." So that servant came and showed his Lord these things. Then the master of the house, being angry, said him to a servant. Go out quickly, everybody say now, into the streets and lanes of the city, bringing the hit of the poor, the maimed, and the halt, and the blind. And the servant said, "Lord, it is done, as thou hast commanded, and yet there is room." I went out, I've done, but what you've asked me to do, but I still see empty chairs at the anchor church. I still see empty seats at the anchor church. Let me just stop there for a moment. I'll never forget the story of a president that was coming in to speak, and they stopped the president for a minute before coming out because the person that was of the house, planning the house with the invitation for the president saw an empty seat, and he ran out and took the empty seat out and set it outside because it's an insult to the president to speak to a house that's not full. I don't want, you know, there's a verse that says, he said, "Well, I find faith on the earth when I return." I don't want the Lord to look down to see empty seats in his house. This is about preacher showing up. This is not about church religiosity. This is about, on Sunday, the king shows up. And I think he deserves a full house. I may believe the king deserves a full house. I say to somebody watching right now, you have time to get here. I see a few empty seats in this house. Can the church say, "A man?" And the servant said, "Lord, it is done." As that was commanded, and yet there is room, and the Lord said unto the servant, "Go." So my show, "Go." Go out into the highways and hedges. That means the country folks. Go out into the hedges and compel them to come in that my house may be filled. For I say unto you that none of those men were forbidden shall taste of my supper. I want you to lift your hands and ask God to speak to you on this Sunday morning. Lord Jesus, I'm asking God that I could obey your voice, the Spirit of prophecy that's been on me. Lord in the last 12 hours, I'm asking God to let your voice be spoken. Clearly did this congregation in the name of Jesus Christ. Amen. Turn to a few people before your seed, and said, "I want to welcome you to what will be a full house." Tell somebody, "Come early next Sunday." Or you might be sitting on the front row that's created. You may be seated. I'd like to preach to you on simply the revival, the revival of the hungry, the revival of the hungry. In review of last week, I preach to you about being too busy, too busy for what God is doing. The parallel of this is that God has a supper prepared. I will parallel this. I understand is talking about heaven. We've all been bitten to the kingdom of God. But I do believe that I can parallel this teaching today is that what God is doing on the earth right now. Jill prophesied about it. He said that in the last day, Seth God, I will pour my spirit upon all flesh. They're gonna dream dreams. Young men are gonna see visions. He said on my servants and my handmains will I pour out of my spirit. He said sons and daughters are gonna prophesy. I do wanna remind this church that this is not a church just for old people. It's not just a church for young people. It's a church for absolutely everybody. It doesn't matter where you come from, your social status, your economic value really doesn't matter. Whether you crawl out of a bridge to get here under a bridge to get her this morning or you have an elite home that you live in, can I remind you the salvation that Jesus gave us at the cross is for everybody. Everybody. Everybody. Amen. And I love this scripture and says, he will make all things new. The fact of the matter is it really doesn't matter where he came from because we have all come from somewhere. What really matters is where you're going when you leave this bit of today and I made my mind, Jesus is my destination. Heaven is gonna be my eternal home. Amen. In this there is, I believe with everything in me. There's an in time crescendo. It is the last of the last days and I still 100% believe that there is going to be a rapture of the church. Paul spoke to the Thessalonican church and he said the Lord Jesus Himself is going to descend from heaven with a shout with the Trump of the archangel. The Trump was going to sound and the dead and Christ are going to rise first. And we, shout us, we which are alive and remain, shall be caught up to meet the Lord in the air. At the same time, he had told Timothy that in the last days, let me turn there and read it to you today, that in the last days, there were also some, some things that were going to happen. He said in 2 Timothy 3, this no also chapter 1 or chapter 3 verse 1, this no also that in the last days, last days, I can't say it strongly enough, this is the last days, it's the last of the last. This no also that in the last days perilous or dangerous times shall come. For men shall be lovers of their own selves, covetous, boasters, proud, blasphemers. We've never seen more rise in an atheistic movement that is degrading, defying God, the comments that are made about a man that was assassinated is so, it's so challenging to me as how people can be so cruel and mean. Blasphemers, disobedient to parents, watch this unthinkful, unholy without natural affection. True sprakers, false accusers, incontinence, fears, despises of those that are good, traders, he had a high mind, or lovers of pleasures more than lovers of God. He talks about on the last days there's going to have an inform of God in this, but denying the power of the power of the blood, the power of the Holy Ghost. From such turn away, he talks about deception and what can happen? He says, "The ever-learning never able to come to the knowledge of the truth." He talks about false prophets and false things, because I tell you that in the same context, he said this in verse 13, "But evil men and seducers shall wax what? Worse and worse is deceiving and being deceived." Verse 15, he said, "And that from a child Timothy thou hast known the Holy Scriptures, which are able to make thee wise unto salvation." I feel like preaching right now. He said, "Listen, in the last days there is going to be deceptions, there's going to be false Christ, there's going to be evil men, evil ways, their ways of thinking are going to be evil." So, "Anti-God, Antichrist, way of thinking," he said, "But don't ever forget the Scriptures are able to make thee wise unto salvation." You hear this preacher, there is still power in the gospel of Jesus Christ. Hallelujah. This pulpit is not a pulpit of politics. It's not a pulpit of ideologies and philosophies. This is a pulpit that preaches the most powerful message on the planet that has ever existed. It is the story that God had heaven became enrobed and flesh walked among men. He died for every single person that you can live life more abundantly. You don't have to die in your sin. You don't have to die in your addiction. You don't have to die in your guilt. You don't have to die in your sorrow. Oh, somebody shot hallelujah. And I feel to go ahead and say it right now, where sin abounds. Grace does much more abound. God is greater than what the devil is trying to do. God is greater than what the enemy is trying to do. Somebody's shouting, man, elbow, two or three people say, "This is for you too. You, it's for you. It's for you and your children. I can't get away from this sister Kendra. In the last days, I know the Bible talks about a follow-up way. Even the very elect could be deceived. Deception is the is is is a product of the atmosphere because the atmosphere of the end time is offense. Everybody's offended. Everybody feels victimized. Everybody's a victim of something. Everyone is offended. What follows offense is deception. People that get offended that do not forgive begin to question what they've always believed. And we're living in a world where atheism has stepped in. There's no God. God's not available. God doesn't answer your prayers. And the devil thought he was going to have a heyday with the United States of America. He thought the preachers would be destroyed. Come on, there was an atmosphere for that where they would call them for preachers messages and going to review their messages to see if they were preaching against sin. That was happening. But I'm going to tell you what's happening in America right now because what the devil should have understood is that when he allowed the crucifixion of Jesus Christ, the Bible says after his resurrection, the Prince of Palatites said, we wish we'd have never touched him because in his resurrection is more powerful than what happened before his death. Oh, I feel a bonus of the Holy Ghost coming upon me right now. Come on, I say to the devil. I say to the devil what Jesus said to the Saul who became the Apostle Paul. Why persecutus vowed me. He told him, don't you realize it's hard to kick against the pricks. What he was saying is to more you attack my church, the more damage is going to do to you. You hear me right now. The church isn't perfect. You know why? Because I'm in it and you're in it. Humanity is in it. We are not perfect even as Christians. We should be perfecting, but we're not perfect. Our desires to get better and to become like him. But what makes us powerful is we come to him with all of our mess and say I was a sinner and we felt the love of God draw us to him that we can be better than we've ever been. Oh, I feel I feel something moving. Can I tell you Jesus doesn't care what you've done where you've come from, who your family background was. He said come unto me all you that labor and are heavy laden and I will give you rest. It's a revival of the hungry. The church is not perfect, but it's it's what he's going to present to himself a glorious church without spot without wrinkle. That's collaboratively all of us. There's nothing he loves more than his church. You are the church is not the building. I mean, we the truth matter. He didn't care what color of the walls are. The Lord didn't need a cushioned seat when you showed up. This is keep us out of the code and out of the heat and out of the sunshine. Out of the rain. Are you with me? We should do it elaborately because it's under him. It's for his people, but I'm going to tell you right now he loves you. He loves me as I am. He hears me when I pray. Come on. The song says, remember, he's the potter and I'm the clay. He's still working on me. I haven't come to say to say that the church is perfect, but I'm going to say it is his bride and it is what he has built. He's the hope of today. He's talking about how he said, I've got this great supper that's prepared. Here's what I was going to say earlier. In the last day, sons and daughters are going to prophesy. You know what that means? In the last day in the world where men are watching worse and worse, more evil in its day. There are going to be young people who are watching worse and worse. In the church, prophesying of the good things of God. If you are a parent and you are a child, I want you to say there is great prophecy of blessing over your life. Come on. If you have a child near you, I want you to look at them and say there is great prophecy of blessing over your life. How may believe that? Are you glad we have young people watching this church and children in this church? Many of them are only here because they want to be. Their parents don't live for God. Their parents are not here today. They are here today because they feel a drawing to the love of God. I'm going to tell you what this generation is tired of. They're tired of the woke movement. They are tired of it. They have to be something that they are not. They have to be involved with something that even all of nature would speak again. They are sick and tired of an anti-God hopeless generation. They don't want anything to do with it. They are tired of the drugs. They are tired of the addictions. They are tired of the chaos. They are tired of the insurrection. They are tired of the culture that says you don't need to listen to your parents. You don't need to church. You don't need to listen to your parents. I tell you there is an uprising in North America like we have never seen for great awakening. (congregation applauding) Now I'm gonna hit this and I'm gonna move on. Oh God, I feel the Lord here right now. He came into his own and his own received him not. Is it possible at the last hour that there are people that have been in this forever are not excited about what? He's about to do. Is it possible? Because we've been so blessed in the church, I'm telling you, you come in here and you're poor. God's gonna change that if you will live according to biblical principles. You'll have more than you've ever had. How many know it's true? How many can witness that? (congregation applauding) Generations. You see the blessing passed down to your children, the children's children, and we have more than they had. And there is a blessing that comes down. You come down and you're broken, all these things. I'm gonna tell you, God will better your life. But it's possible to be so blessed that our business decisions become more important than what God is doing right now. - Yeah, yeah. - It becomes a Sunday event. Well, I marked off the box of going to church and I'm glad you're here. I read my Bible this morning and put my ties, matter of fact, it's on auto, it just does it. 'Cause it's online now. You just don't have to think about it. You just bless, bless, bless. I don't wanna be so blessed that when the great crescendo of an end time revival, that I can't get involved because my world of what I had that God's given me is more important than what God is doing. Listen to me. Listen to me today. I was in BC at the moment. I told you the Spirit of Prophecy's on me. I feel so strong in my spirit. I have not come to be condemning. I've come to tell you what is about to happen. About four years ago, I was in Mendesto, California, preaching a missions conference. And I got up to preach and the Spirit of Prophecy came to me. I said, "I want everybody in their 20s to stand up." And when I did, they stood up. I began to prophesy what God was gonna do in the young adults in North America. And a lady on this side, I don't know, a later got to know her ironically, became a friend of Lakin's in Bible college. She started spinning, just spinning in the Holy Ghost, just like that. She started dancing. When it did, the Spirit of the Lord swept over that congregation and prophecy came in there. And listen, there is a harvest, there is a fire, there's a revival of young adults right now in North America. Come on, I've been preaching for years, you'll know this. There's a greater way. I do not believe that America's done, America's doomed. I believe the greatest days of North America and the United States are ahead of us and not behind us. Come on, I still shout it. I loved American flag and I say, "God bless America." Come on, God bless America. Hallelujah. I love America, I love it. I don't wanna see it doomed, I wanna see it blessed. I believe for many years something would happen that people are gonna repent and give their life to God. And when you begin to look at where we are, there has been certainly a fall in the way. But I have believed and continue to believe that there is a great awakening that is happening. I told even the city council, I hope they heard me, that they need to think of a spiritual infrastructure. Remember when I said that? Because you need to start thinking about how many of tens of thousands of people given their life to God is what's gonna look like in our city. And cities across North America, did you hear me? When the Lord spoke to me standing about right here in my prayer time several years ago, and the Lord said, "I am gonna feel millions with the Holy Ghost in North America." That is the outpouring of the spirit. Acts chapter two, Acts chapter eight, Acts chapter 10, Acts chapter 19, that when they were filled with the Holy Ghost, they began to speak with other tongues as the spirit gave them utterance for the ability to speak. I've seen that on so many, I watched a guy that never heard a word in his life, repented through sign language. Forgive me Jesus, he was on this side of the church in Bechalewes, Virginia. They baptized him. He said, "I wanna be baptized in Jesus name." When they baptized him, I was 11 years old on this side of the church. When he came up out of the water, that man was speaking in a heavenly language. I heard it with my own ears. I'm gonna pour my spirit up on all flesh. And they said, "What is this?" And some Peter said, "It is for you and your children and all that are afar off." I come to tell you how long you've been in church, what the nomination you've been in. God is pouring His spirit out on everybody. Hallelujah. And so there is an awakening. There is a stirring. And when I read the text here today, as I come to a close and just probably within 10 minutes here, but he said, "I've got something prepared now." Many years ago, sister Emily, how did they would say revival's coming, a harvest is coming, revival's coming, harvest is coming, there's an awakening that's gonna happen. I hear it, but I'm gonna tell you right now, it's not coming. It is here. Everything we've dreamt about, everything we prayed for. I've told City Councilman on the phone. Anybody that would talk to him, I would tell him on the phone with tears. They let me come to their office, I tell them. I say, "Listen to me, there is a spiritual awakening in North America. I would cry with them on the phone. Some of them would cry with me on the phone and said, "I believe in pastor. I believe this." And I would tell them, "Have you not heard what happened? "Oh, how state?" For one thing, the woman national championship, there you go. They had a great revival, Jesus won. I mean, know that. You're not gonna wanna hear this, but I'm gonna tell you anyhow. A year before that, Michigan won. I'm sorry, don't turn me off, I'm not done. And guess what they did? They had a great revival of repentance. One of my friends, I've known, is the chaplain of the team. Many of them were baptized. I'm not saying if a football team gives their life to Lord, they win a championship. There seems to be a pattern here. I will say, "You give your life to Jesus, you will win at the end of the day, you're gonna win." No weapon formed against me, she'll prosper. Can I ask somebody watching online, what are you waiting for? It's the greatest hour of our day. Come on, praise him all over the building. Praise him all over the building. Young people are so hungry for God. They've got young leaders that are standing up with called to preach. Every chance they get, they get on a podcast and preach. Every opportunity, they get them talking about how Jesus changed their life. Young people, young people, they're here. They like to come to church. They love the enthusiasm. I'm just gonna tell every elder in the building, you take the shout out of the church, you lose the young people of the church. You take the emotional worship out of the church, they're gonna go somewhere else because they want something that's alive that they can feel, that they can see, that they can experience. Come on, thank God for an exuberant church. Amen. Somebody shout, "Hallelujah." And these young people all over the country in these college campuses, where they have been a woke, where they've been told, "I'm one of my friends went to a college." Am I okay? One of my, one of Lincoln's friends went to a college and her teacher stood up and said, "My number one goal in this class is to make every one of you an atheist." That was the number one goal. Lakin goes to a local college, "Oh, you're here in town." And they got up and told her, "You need to go watch 50 Shades of Game because everybody is a shade of game." Woke. She said, "I will not." Sounds like the three-huban children. We will not serve your gods. That's false doctrine. That's a doctrine of the devil. She stepped out of that with a full-ride scholarship because she chose Jesus over economic convenience. She went to Liberty University, which is a Christian university. Lakin, it was so powerful. Watching you down in that field and in that college arena where there was, I don't know, 30-some plus thousand. It's 60, I think, 30-some thousand people that were there and they started singing songs into the Lord. But they'll mark, do you remember what song they were singing? The goodness of God, "Oh, my life has been faithful." And I looked and stood and saw over the arena with their parents. I looked in graduates that had the number one. Listen, the number one online campus in the country. A Christian college. And when they started singing, students got out of their seats in the aisle, so on the football field, it started praising him. You know why they're not ashamed of the gospel? Because what change? You better get ready. There's a river I've lived. North America. Oh, stand here, feed a clap your hand. This shot in his hair. Right now. It is here, right now. He said when you're preaching and they don't come, bid. It's the altar call. It's the bid of every preacher. I'm just a servant, obeying the master of the house. Go tell. I've got something ready for him. I've got the Holy Ghost ready for him. I've got salvation ready for him. Go tell him I've got remission. The sins ready for him. Go tell him I've got deliverance from addiction online. Addiction to drugs, addiction to appeals, addiction to offense and bitter. Go tell my people. I've got something ready right now. He went back and said they made excuse. They made excuse. They didn't come. They didn't come and eat. They said they can't come. They're too busy. He said, "Here's what I want you to do. Man of God, lady of God, listen to me." He said, "I want you to go out to the cities. I want you to go out to the highways. I want you to go out to every little community. I want you to go tell him God has something prepared for you. Won't you come? It doesn't matter if you're poor. It doesn't matter if you're mained. It doesn't matter if you've been blinded. It doesn't matter if you're sick. It doesn't matter. Are you hungry? Oh, God. For what God has prepared for you. Come on, I've got a question. You know what hunger is? Is when somebody's getting baptized. You can't stand there. You get so excited. Oh, man, another name's been written in the Lamb's book of life. You get excited when somebody repents. I'm hungry. For what God is doing right now. He said, "If they don't want to open the doors to everybody that's hungry, that doesn't matter what they come from, what they look like. I'm telling you. They're coming out of the crack houses. They're going to pour in out the bar rooms. They're going to come out of drug gangs. They're going to be drug dealers that walk in here. They said, "If I had just had this when I was 12, I'd never got into what I got into. Could I tell you don't judge? Don't judge the hungry." Because there's a law of hunger. He'll feed the hungry. Somebody shot him in. I come to tell you as the pastor, I give you the altar call, but the truth of the matter we in the church were servants to what he's doing. It's not time for us to wait on Sunday for there to be a crescendo. I'm telling you right now, last week there were miracles that happened in the church. I had people text to me talking about when the saints prayed for them. They were healed. I want you to turn to two people and ask them, "Can I pray for you?" Can I pray for you? Sister Sheridan? Or yes, Sister Sheridan. Do we have the picture of Charlie Kirkland put on the screen? He stood for faith in his God. You witnessed a modern day, Christian martyr. When I tell you, I saw the video accidentally. I didn't know what was going to be. The brand could tell you, "Barton, I was with him. I fell on my face. I could hardly get off the floor." Not just what happened, but something stirred within this believer. I'm a believer before I'm a preacher. I'm a believer. Everything I've dreamt of and prayed for. I'm more into over his wife and those two little kids. I grieved over this man who was doing his best to make an impact on this last day generation. I grieved. I cried for days. My wife, my kids, the emotions, I can't get over. I'm still not over it. And last night, I was just feeling something. Is this the awakening? Because in matter of days, Turning Point USA has had requests for 18,000 Turning Point chapters to be open in colleges all over North America. Millions have tuned in. Teenagers are going home and said, "Mom, I want you to buy me a Bible." Young people are saying to their professors, "I don't want to listen to what you're telling me. I want to know what the Bible is telling my generation." There's a hunger. There's a hunger. And I tell you what you're going to see. You're going to see full Sundays, but you're also going to see people in the streets on their knees with their hands lifted. They're going to be rocking back and forth because the heavy power of conviction and repentance is going to come. There's going to be conversions of atheists and different religions all over the world because there's a great awakening in North America right now. Could I preach to you right now? How me want to be a part of what God is going to do in the end time? Excuse me if I'm emotional about this, but this is more than just the death of a man. This is more than just staring within the believers all over that I'm talking to, said, "I don't understand why I'm so shaken. Many do not know who he is because he's not, has not been a voice to the older generation. He's been a voice to a young college student generation. He's the top ten influencer in the world and his message is Jesus Christ." Do you know when they open social media and China in the communist country, you know what the number one download of social media was? Christianity. We call Sister Kendra. There's no power like the power in the blood of Jesus. I come to tell you he can heal your cancer right now. I come to tell you he will save you no matter where you be and no matter where you come from. He can set you free from alcoholism and drug addiction. I don't care how long the family string of addiction you had. You can be a turning point in your family. You can be a turning point in your generation. God's called you to a great awakening. God's called us somebody shout hallelujah. Oh shout hallelujah. When I preach to you that Stephen hear me. God had something planned for the book of Acts movement. There was a lot of prejudice of Jews against Gentiles in that day even though they walked for three and a half years. It was easy to preach to Jews but he said it's for the Jew and also for the Greek. It's for the bond and it's also for the free. He said it's for the Jew and the Gentile. How many know that? Summary:

” He opens by thanking Sister Kendra for ministering to young people and emphasizes that God has a divine purpose for each person.
