Rethinking knowledge: Ethical AI, radical transparency and the future of publishing and education with Mohamed Nabil
17m 59s
Mohamed Nabil introduces AIDOP (AI Debates on One’s Publications) as a transformative model in publishing and education, where creators prompt AI to critically evaluate their own work and publish the full exchange within 24 hours. This process fosters radical transparency, allowing readers to trace reasoning behind arguments and form independent judgments. In education, AIDOP is proposed as a tool to sharpen critical thinking by requiring students to engage in AI-facilitated debates, echoing the Socratic method. Mohamed emphasizes ethical AI use—against ghostwriting—favoring AI as a critical partner rather than a content generator. He links his work to core values like justice, freedom, and truth, advocating for a global government to address systemic issues such as billionaire wealth, climate change, and pandemics. He proposes taxing ultra-wealthy individuals and ensuring basic human rights like healthcare and education as universal rights. Ultimately, he envisions a future where long-form debates, driven by AIDOP, replace superficial content, empowering individuals through deeper understanding and self-actualization. His key recommendations include teaching sociology early to prevent indoctrination and integrating AIDOP into education systems to build a more informed, democratic society.
I everyone and welcome back to Silia's Corner.
The podcast where you have many conversations with people, challenging ideas, inspiring change
and creating new ways of seeing the world.
I am your host, Silia.
And my guest today is Mohamed Nabil and also thinker and creator of AIDOP.
AID based on one's publications.
True AIDOP, Mohamed invites AI to critically examine his own published work and then shares
the unaddicted exchanges with the public, creating an unusual model of transparency and intellectual
and credibility.
Today we will be exploring the ethical use of AI in publishing and education.
And now AI could change the way we write, learn, question information and engage with ideas.
Mohamed, welcome to Silia's Corner.
It's a pleasure to have you here with us.
It's a pleasure to join you here tonight.
Thank you for hosting me.
I am Mohamed.
For some, I am in about it for the first time.
What exactly is AIDOP?
AI debates on one's publication.
And what inspired you to create it?
AIDOP or AI debates on one's publications is a content creation framework in which a content creator
prompts an AI tool to criticize their own content and publishes the entire unaddicted
transcript of back and forth argumentation within 24 hours of exchange.
So basically you have an original piece of content whether it's an assay, an audio or a video file
or anything.
You feed the content to an AI tool and ask the tool to criticize it, engage in back and forth
argumentation and publish the entire exchange within 24 hours.
So at the beginning I thought of it because I thought ideas and books are dead.
They are not publicly debated and discussed.
So I started applying it on my own books and ideas so people can have about the starting point
while debating my own theories.
Then I realized it's revolutionary potential within publishing, education, policymaking,
humanities and social sciences.
Well, but then again, what impact do you expect AI tools to have on publishing particularly
when it comes to transparency?
Also ship an intellectual accessibility.
Well, AIDOP or AI debates on one's publications is expected to have a revolutionary impact
to then publishing because it changes the dynamics, changes the relationship between the author and the readers.
Instead of being placed in an eye every tower and giving conclusions, the author shall be required
to give a certain theory or thesis along with a set of arguments and counter arguments around it.
So this will allow people to form better opinions as they read this content.
Then education students can be assigned, can be asked to submit AIDOP sessions at the end of each assignment
to make sure and then they can be asked to handle debates with their human colleagues or holding.
This will help them sharpen their critical thinking and increase their capabilities over time
within policymaking.
I'm advocating for the establishment of a global government to be ruled by hyperlocusses and assemblies.
So I'm advocating for direct democracy.
People voting on issues directly instead of voting for someone to vote on their behalf.
So then policymaking it may change the game instead of simply proposing a bill or a policy.
You will propose that bill or policy along with a set of arguments and counter arguments surrounding it.
So people can have a better place or a better discussion point to start with.
But you also described AIDOP as a form of radical transparency.
Why do you believe a line AIDOP to publicly challenge an author's own work is valuable?
Because I don't stop at the criticism. I start with the original essay and then I go through the criticism of the AI tool.
And then I respond to that criticism so people can follow the reasoning behind my own conclusions.
So in such case, this portrays radical transparency because instead of asking people to simply accept conclusions or reject them.
At say at face value, you are actively allowing them to follow the reasoning behind these conclusions and investigate for the truth on their own.
Maybe they can come up with various opinions that are different from yours.
So talking of AI, what is a car principles should also some publishers follow when using AI to write?
Well, they shouldn't use AI for ghost writing or a day generation because I think this is unethical and I think it makes your mind numb over time.
The best way I can think of to use AI is to use it to criticize your own content and engage in back-and-forth argumentation.
This is the best way and the way I am using it, I specify one of the tools and then I publish its own content under its own name to avoid terrorism or anything like that.
But what do you believe AI should play in education and where do you think we should draw the line between using AI to an oscillating and using it to replace the learning?
I believe we need to integrate into the education, the idea of banning AI or banning anything new from education systems around the world is dangerous.
The best way to act is to integrate it ethically and give students a way to benefit from it.
Like I mentioned earlier, you can get it into, you can align it or integrate it perfectly by asking students to submit AI/DUP sessions at the end of each assignment.
And then handle debates with their colleagues accordingly. This way you are feeding debates themselves as a main way to learn something new and this may be traced back to the Socratic method.
But do you think systems like AI/DUP can help students develop stronger, critical thinking skills?
Surely, that's why I'm suggesting that.
And one of your central ideas is enlightened populism.
How would you explain the difference between blind elitism, ignore populism and enlightened populism?
Blind elitism entails blind deforming an expert or an elite on a certain issue.
Ignorant populism also involves the absence of investigation while relying on feelings or trends.
As for enlightened populism, it's a behavioral pattern of communication that involves listening to multiple experts trying to understand how they reach certain conclusions and investigating the information to screw into truth.
So people need to go through these three steps, listen to multiple experts, try to understand how they reach certain conclusions and investigate the information for themselves to screw into truth.
For one, we're talking about the use of AI, the use of AI. So Mohammed, I want to know how some people responsibly use AI?
The best way to use it, even if you don't have publications, even if you don't have your own content published online, you can use it for private sessions as a philosophical partner.
Ask to have to present all of the views that are opposing to you.
These tools almost have the sum of human knowledge due to the huge success they've been claimed on, so they can be useful in that sense.
Now, let's talk about Mohammed as a writer.
I mean, you've written several books, including The Bachelors of Egypt's global justice and lighting populism, and also might have you with chat, GPT.
Could you briefly take us through the ideas or questions that connect this work?
Well, I published nine books, The Bachelors of Egypt, Enlightened Population Reflections on the New Cycle of a Pandemic, my interview with chat, GPT, global justice novel, philosophical database with AI, ideas that survive the IDUP,
set minds free, humanity's money and truth is sexy.
These are interconnected through my own value system of justice, freedom, truth telling, comfort.
passion and solidarity.
I try to elevate these values through my own work.
They are also interconnected through three main pillars
to my philosophy, AI/DUP, as I mentioned earlier,
AI awaits the ones' publications
and enlighten populism as a behavior pattern of communication
and the idea of establishing a global government
we're owned by hyperlocuses and assemblies.
- Now let's talk about your book,
"My Interview with Chad Chipitzi."
A book exploits an unusual relationship between an author and AI.
I mean, what did that experience teach you
about these strengths and limitations of AI
as an intellectual conversation or partner?
- Sometimes it doesn't know the answer
and tries to imagine a certain answer.
That's different from hallucinations.
Sometimes it comes with profound answers that aren't necessarily true.
For instance, during when I wrote "My Interview with Chad Chipitzi"
I prompted the tool to ask me questions on my own writings.
I answered these questions in the book,
give these answers to the tool.
And then I passed back some of the questions it asked.
When I passed back some of the questions it asked me,
it came up with great ideas.
I asked why did Muhammad Nabeel write one, two, three,
what did Muhammad Nabeel mean by this and that?
And it came up with profound answers.
Yeah, they are not identical to my own answers.
So here's the main lesson I learned during writing that book.
- Someday do you think AI will fundamentally change
what it means to be an also an educator?
- I believe an author or an educator will need to adapt
to the new technological breakthroughs.
So to be capable to write something for new generations
or to be capable to educate new generations,
you need to stay aligned with the cutting edge technology.
That's the way how things go.
- Now let's talk about you and governments.
You have to get away single global governments.
I mean, what problems do you believe
that a unified global government could solve
that individual nations cannot effectively address?
- We have three main issues.
We have in today's world and in the future
we have billionaires breed represented in wars
spread all over the world to accept the idea
of AI taking over our own jobs,
representing the idea of child labor
and many other problems around the world.
And we have potentially recurring pandemics
and we have climate change.
These are the three main issues.
So as for billionaires breed,
we need to tax billionaires of existence
by setting a health cap at $999 million
for a person worldwide.
So to do our to accomplish that,
we need to have a single global structure.
Otherwise, there will be tax havens
and loopholes spread all over the world
and ways for them to hide their own money.
As for climate change, we will face it
in terms of mitigation and adaptation
and as the current fragmented nation states
have proven that they can face this issue
as for potentially recurring pandemics,
we can tackle the root causes of them
through a single unified global government.
And we can introduce basic human rights
such as shelter, access to clean waste, water and food,
education, healthcare, freedom of expression,
freedom of movement and stable speed
and international access.
- It's talking about that.
Do you argue that sets in necessities
like food, clean water, education, healthcare,
freedom of expression, freedom of movement
and relibrates and it assets just like you mentioned.
If I get at this, certain necessities
should be basic human rights.
Mohammed, what do you think
what like does would look like in practice?
What in practice people will have,
people will move beyond the basic needs
and seek self-actualization.
This is what I'm hoping for.
So I think we will have more office philosophers,
more filmmakers, painters, artists.
We will unlock the creativity
of a huge part of the population
when we expand a bit of class.
So people can have a better life
and then we will elevate our own thinking
through practicing enlightened populism
as we will have the time and the energy to do so
as we reduce the working hours
to share the benefits of technology
instead of letting a few billionaires benefit alone
from them and to use the expected massive layoffs.
- Mohammed, thank you so much for joining me today
and for sharing your perspective
on AI publishing, education, transparency,
democracy and even the future of knowledge.
As we wrap it up, if you could change one thing
about the way society currently approaches AI,
education and the production of knowledge,
what would you change?
And what future do you overcome
build with AI do?
I hope if I can change one thing within education,
I'll actually choose two things.
I'll push for teaching sociology at the young age
as this prevents indoctrination
and I'd push for the adoption of AI/DUP
within the education system.
Now, what future do you overcome build with AI/DUP?
- What future do I hope?
- Yes, we compute when we start using AI/DUP.
- Well, I believe the future will be
will be full of long-form content
because this is what you can create with AI/DUP
and I believe people will get back
to realizing the value of long-form debates
and the points they can learn about
the various points and perspectives they can learn about
from these debates will be used.
- Thank you so much, Mohamed,
for being part of this conversation.
And for sharing your experience
and part of the test their perspective with us,
it was a pleasure we knew on the show today.
Thank you so much for coming.
- It was a pleasure joining you here tonight.
- Thank you for hosting.
- Thank you, Mohamed and all my listeners.
Thank you for spending parts of your day with us.
See you on the next episode.
It's by for now.

FAQs
AIDOP stands for AI Debates on One's Publications. It involves an author feeding their content—like a book or article—to an AI tool, asking it to criticize and debate the content, and then publishing the full, unedited exchange within 24 hours.
AIDOP promotes radical transparency by showing the original content, the AI's criticism, and the author’s response, allowing readers to trace the reasoning behind conclusions and engage critically with the ideas themselves.
Students can be required to submit AIDOP sessions after assignments, engaging in structured debates with AI and peers. This mirrors the Socratic method and helps develop deeper critical thinking and analytical skills.
Publishers should avoid using AI for ghostwriting or content generation. Instead, AI should be used to critique and debate their own work, promoting transparency and intellectual accountability.
Enlightened populism involves listening to multiple experts, understanding their reasoning, and investigating information to find truth. It contrasts with blind elitism (relying on experts without scrutiny) and ignorant populism (acting on emotions without inquiry).
Yes, AI can serve as a philosophical partner by presenting counter-arguments and asking probing questions, helping users explore their ideas and strengthen their reasoning—even without publishing content.
