Speaker 1Hallelujah can I lift your hands your name be exalted we bless you father for such a time as this blessed Holy Spirit we hand over this meeting into your hands we receive enlightenment we receive illumination we receive transformation we are radically blessed and never the same thank you Holy Spirit brood over us one more time for we did is a fountain of life in the lights we shall see light thank you father in Jesus name Amen you hallelujah can I please be seated praise God hallelujah are you ready for God's word the thing for this year's retreat is the spirituality of music and I think it's very powerful it's very powerful so I want us to dive into God's word and gleam from God's word and I want us to dive into God's word and gleam from God's word and I us worth its riches so we can understand the spirituality of music it's very essential in its very life hallelujah praise God I salute all ministers presence all protocol observed praise God hallelujah all right music is very spiritual tell your neighbor music is very spiritual yeah very spiritual as God ordained it I want you to tell with me to the book of Genesis 1 verse 1 Genesis 1 verse 1 but the reason it is spiritual is because my first reason is because it is God's essential purpose for creation you it is God's essential purpose for creation it's God's purpose for creation the Bible says that in the beginning God created the heaven and the earth this is the first verse of scripture in the beginning God created the heavens and the earth hallelujah the word created in the hebrew language is the word barra it spells b-a-r-a barran and bara is creation unto perfection and unto beauty so in the beginning god created the word is bara hallelujah but you see in etymology the word barak is from the word bara you see the word barak actually is a hebrew word for praise it is the word to kneel speaks of worship barak means to bless so kneeling praising thanksgiving is the word bara you know where bara come from is the word baraq and baraq is from the word bara so so amazingly praise the word created that's why we get word praise and god hid this truth in the word for us to know that the essence of creation is for his praise that you were created for his praise so that's why we are here we were all created the reason for bara is baraq baraq is actually from bara praise is from his creation he wants his creation to praise him so when you read the book of psalm 148 you realize that everything is commanded to praise god everything is commanded to praise god this is psalm 148 everything has been ordained for god's praise everything is ordained for god's praise praise it the lord praise it the lord from the heavens praise him in the height now there's two praising him all his angels praising him all his host let's go on praising him sun moon praise him all these stars of light you see even the sun the moon the stars of light praise him ye heavens of heavens and ye waters that be above the heavens see let them praise the name of the lord for he commanded and they were created so the essence of creation is for his grace so the word created is bara that's why we get with baraq hallelujah so he say i'm ordained i'm created for his praise yeah we are for his glory actually that is basically we are for his praise we are here to bless him the word baraq we are here to worship him essentially we are for god we are made for him the reason for man is god we are for his praise basically we exist for his praise the bible says he has called us out of darkness to show forth the praises or the excellencies of him who called us out of darkness into his marvelous light everything of us sure rebound for his praise his excellencies his virtues his praise essentially praise god so the reason for your existence is for his praise you can do nothing about it that's the first reason hallelujah the second reason number two now god ordained music in fact he ordained praise for a very important reason to silence satan to silence satan to silence the devil david said oh lord our lord how excellent is thy name in all the earth who has set their glory above the heavens psalm 2 verse 1 and 2 out of the mouth of babes and succulents has that ordained strength that thou mightest steal the enemy and avenger psalm 8 1 and 2. so in psalm 8 verse 2 verse 2 says that out of the mouth of babes and succulents has that ordained strength because of their enemies so that you will steal of the enemy and avenger are you following me now this verse is quoted by david and he says out of the mouth of babes and succulents god has ordained strength for which reason to steal to meet the enemy and avenger all right our lord jesus christ quoted this verse in the new testament to give us the meaning of this verse so to understand this verse what david is talking about let's see matthew 21 verse 16. matthew 21 verse 16. look at what jesus said and he said unto him here as thou what dc and jesus said unto them ye have ye never read out of the mouth of babes and succulents thou hast perfected praise so there's a substitution david said out of the mouth of babes and succulents you have ordained strength but jesus is saying he's quoting from david but he's saying out of the mouth of babes and succulents you have perfected praise so praise is our strength are you here with me praise actually when you praise god praise gives you spiritual strength all right so now jesus gives us understanding that what david is talking about the strength god has put into our mouth is actually praise and the reason for the praise on our lips is to silence the enemy and avenger why what is why why am i saying all of this follow me carefully now do you know that in the bible angels don't sing have you seen verses in the bible telling us angels sing you may have traditional understanding of it because you've heard it from growing up but if you check the scriptures we don't see angels singing angels praise god by verbal declarations The way angels praise God is by their vile declarations. Okay, I know some of you will be saying, how about Luke chapter 2, verse 13 and 14? So let's see Luke chapter 2, verse 13 and 14. How about when Jesus was born and the angels came, didn't they come singing? Let's see what the Bible says. Luke chapter 2, verse 13 and 14. And suddenly, there was with the angel a multitude of heavenly hosts praising God. The heavenly hosts is the armies of heaven. Praising God and saying, and saying, and saying, not and singing, and saying, and saying. In the Greek, the word saying here is in the present progressive tense. And saying, and saying, and saying, and saying, and saying. So it's more of verbal declarations. And what were they saying? They didn't say and singing, but and saying. Glory to God in the highest and on earth, peace, goodwill towards man. So they kept saying it. They kept saying. They kept saying it. They kept saying it. And singing, and singing, and singing. Are you following me? All right. Okay, how about Isaiah chapter 6? I wanted to see the exclusive privilege God has given us. Isaiah chapter 6, verse 1 and 2. Let's read Isaiah 6, 1 and 2. In the year King Uzziah died, I saw also the Lord sitting upon a throne, high and lifted. And his train filled his temple. Verse 2. And above it stood the seraphims. And each one had six wings. And between he covered his face. And between he covered his feet. And between he did fly. Verse 3. And one cried unto another and said. The Bible didn't say one cried unto another and sang. You see, one cried unto another and said. The priest got by verbal declarations. And said, holy, holy, holy is the Lord. The whole earth is full of his glory. Praise God. Revelation chapter 5. Now we read from verse 9 to verse 12. And we will see those who sing in heaven. They are singing in heaven. But I want to see those who sing in heaven. It says, and they sang a new song. Who are they? Who are they? Let's start from verse 8. And when he had taken the book, that's Jesus. The four beasts and the four and twenty elders fell down before the Lamb. Having every one of them harps and golden vials full of odors. Which are the prayers of the saints. The next verse. And they sang a new song. Now the elders are mentioned. They sang a new song. Saying. You see, these people sang. Saying, thou art worthy to take the book and to open the seals thereof. For thou was slain and has redeemed us to God. So who are those who are singing? They are redeemed. And has redeemed us. So these were men. The twenty four elders are singing. And has redeemed us. To God. By thy blood. Out of every kindred. Every tongue. Every people. Every nation. So those who are singing a new song where they are redeemed. Yeah. The twenty four elders are the elders. People like Abraham. People like Jacob. People like Joseph. You know. The elders. And they sang. Because they were men. And they are celebrating their redemption. By your blood you have redeemed us. So those who sang here. Where they are redeemed. They were praising God for their redemption. You have redeemed us. To God. By your blood. The next verse. The next verse. That has made us. To our God. Kings and priests. And we shall reign on the earth. Okay. The next verse. And I beheld. And I heard the voice of many angels. So now we have seen the singing of men. Now angels are here. I heard the voice of many angels. Round about the throne. And the elders and the beasts. And the number. So the angels were round about the throne. And the number. And the number. Your pomp and magnificence have been brought down to you, along with the music of your harps. The maggots which prey on the dead are spread upon thee, are spread under you as a bed, and worms are your covering. How you have fallen from heaven, O Lucifer. So he's addressing Lucifer, you understand? How you have fallen from heaven, O star of the morning. So he's talking about his music. This verse is talking about the fact that Lucifer was a man of music before he fell. He was a man of music before he fell. Are you following at all? Ask your neighbor, are you following at all? So Lucifer was a worship leader, leading one-third of the angels. This was far before Adam's world, far before Adam's world. So the only record of singing is actually far before Adam's world. We see that also in Job 38. Job 38:7. God was asking Job some questions. Job 38:6-7. Of what were its foundations fastened? Or who laid its cornerstone? It says, when the morning stars sank together. Verse 7. When the morning stars sank together, all the sons of God shouted for joy. Verse 8. Verse 9. Verse 10. Verse 11. Verse 12. Verse 13. Verse 14. Verse 15. Verse 16. Verse 17. Verse 18. Verse 19. Verse 20. Verse 21. Verse 22. Verse 23. Verse 24. Verse 25. Verse 26. Verse 27. Verse 28. Verse 29. Verse 30. Verse 31. Verse 32. Verse 33. Verse 34. Verse 35. Verse 36. Verse 37. Verse 38. Verse 39. Verse 40. Verse 41. Verse 42. Verse 43. Verse 44. Verse 45. Verse 46. Verse 47. Verse 48. Verse 49. Verse 50. Verse 51. Verse 52. Verse 53. Verse 54. Verse 55. Verse 56. Verse 57. Verse 58. consoled that's anointing so you don't just come and sit down you so you don't just come and sit down you so you don't just come and sit down you come come come prepared to enhance your ministry prepared to enhance your ministry prepared to enhance your ministry hallelujah that's it so playing hallelujah that's it so playing Praising, leading worship, these are spiritual things. They fall under the prophetic ministry. You reveal the mind of God. You reveal the heart of God. You can minister healing through your singing. You can minister the gifts of the miraculous through your singing. Gifts of healing through your singing. Interpretation of tongues through your singing. The gifts of the spirit cannot pray through it. So take it very seriously. Hallelujah. As I'm teaching, the gifts of the spirit can manifest through my teaching. You know, someone can, I could be teaching and someone can just be healed automatically. In the same way, that's how your singing is. You could be singing and healing is taking place. Praise God. All right, how many points am I? Music is spiritual. My. Fourth point, right, is that music is the ministry of the most holy. It is the ministry of the most holy. Now, the Bible in the Old Testament separates the holy from the most holy. Now, can you imagine? God distinguishes what is holy and what is most holy. That intrigues me. There's a place, of course, in the tabernacle, there's an aftercourt, isn't it so? But there's the holy place. It is holy. But aside from that, there's the most holy place. Wow. The Hebrew call it holinesses of holinesses. Most holy. There are offerings in the Bible that are categorized under holy offerings. But other offerings are categorized under most holy offerings. Some of the things are not just holy. They are most holy. Praise God. Yeah. The Bible says the grain offering is most holy. The Bible says the sin offering is most holy. The trespass offering, the guilt offering is most holy. Some offerings are holy. Other offerings are most holy. I don't have time to go so much into it. But one thing I want you to know is this, Dan. What is the category of praise and worship? Where does it lie? Now, the most holy place was too sanctified. So much that you agree with me and you know from the scriptures that if the high priest goes there unprepared, he dies. And Josephus, the historian, tells us that they put a rope around his waist because nobody can go in there. So when he dies, they have to pull him. And there's a thick veil. Separating what is holy and what is most holy. And this veil was thick. Three to four inches thick. About 60 feet wide. Now, it took 300 priests to manipulate the veil. Separating what is holy from what is most holy. But David set a tabernacle. Now, David, Moses had his tabernacle. We call it the tabernacle of Moses. But David also had his tabernacle. Which he set in Jerusalem. But there's something wonderful about But today, we are not under the tabernacle of Moses. We are under the tabernacle of David. The tabernacle of David conforms to the New Testament realities of grace. Now, in the tabernacle of David, you know what happened? There was an ark of the covenant. And the Levites came before it, but there was no veil. What a mystery. There was no veil. So they are before the ark, and they worship, seeing the ark. Eye to eye, and worshiping and singing before the ark. What a privilege. Meanwhile, only the high priests had access to see the ark once a year. But in David's tabernacle, it was just a tent, and the ark was there, and there was no veil. And they worshiped it. That's why all the singers who were assigned to praise and worship in David's tabernacle had their ministry before the ark. It was a most holy ministry before the most holy. The ark is what is most holy. Hallelujah. So what I want you to say is that this thing you are doing is most holy. There are a few things the Bible says that are most holy. Building up yourselves on your most holy faith. A few things are most holy. A few offerings are most holy. I'm telling you that you're singing and worship and praise before the ark. You're singing and worshiping and praise before the ark. Belongs to the most holy category. Most holy. Most holy. So it takes proper preparation. To fulfill this kind of ministry. Do you know that David. His kingdom was huge. In his kingdom. He had his army. He had his administration. He had his recorders. Those who kept the record. He had the singers. Now he assigned people to oversee every kind of. Every aspect of his administration. But when it came to singing. He appointed leaders. Over his singers. But he himself presided over the singers. David himself. Because of how holy. That ministry is. It's so holy that he himself. Presided over it. Hallelujah. But David was holy. David inhabited the presence of Israel. God inhabited the presence of Israel. In Chronicles. The priest when he started worshipping. And playing the cymbals. They were filled with so much glory. That the Bible says they couldn't stand to minister again. Because they were filled with the glory of God. This ministry is a very powerful ministry. You know. When we speak of the presence of God. There are three aspects of God's presence. Three aspects. There is what is called. God's omnipresence. There is his omnipresence. We have his abiding presence. Then we have his manifest presence. God's omnipresence means that God is everywhere. Wherever you go. There is God. God is everywhere. But God also has his abiding presence. Why? Because the Holy Spirit indwells us. The Holy Ghost is in you. Permanently. He lives in you. True or false? Yeah. The Holy Ghost indwells you. There is this treasure in earthen vessels. That the excellency of the power may be of God and not of us. So we are indwelled by God. We are his human domicile. That is his abiding presence. There is the omnipresence of God. He is everywhere. Then we have his abiding presence. But we have his manifest presence. His manifest presence is when. His presence is. Visible and tangible. The Shekinah glory. Is visible. Your role. As a gospel musician. Is to bring forth his manifest presence. Because the people already. His omnipresence is everywhere. His abiding presence is with us already. But your calling is to bring forth his manifest presence. That is why this ministry. Is a ministry of the holies of holies. The most holy place. He brings you the glory. You bring forth his manifest presence. You bring it up. This ministry is so powerful that. When an evil spirit tormented Saul. They had to call for David to play. And as David began to play. The harp. The evil spirit. Left Saul. What a powerful ministry. Have you ever played a keyboard. For someone to have his deliverance before. You are playing keyboard. And spirit are leading people. He played. And the spirit will temporarily leave Saul. Just by playing. This is a powerful ministry. Praise God. So you can sing. Because you carry. The manifest presence. The shekinah. You carry it. You carry it. Now the tabernacle of David. The tabernacle of David. It refers to our times. You see. Moses' tabernacle was only for the Jews. It was Jewish. But with David's ministry. It was both Jews and Gentiles. That is why you see a lot of Gentiles. In David's regime. Even his army had Gentiles. His army had Hittites. Uriah the Hittite. He was a Hittite. His army had Ittai. The Philistines. Who controlled one third of his military. Obedidon. Who was a. O'keeper of the ark. Was actually from Gath. David's ministry was mysterious. We had Gentiles mixing with the Jews. The reason is because. It was prophesying of our time. The church is made up of Jews and Gentiles. And in Acts chapter 15. Verse 16. When the church was born. Let's see Acts 15 verse 16. After this. This is James speaking. I will retain. Let's start from verse 15. Let me show you something. Verse 15. To this I agree the word of the prophet. As it is written. Verse 16. After this I will retain. And will build again the tabernacle of David. Which is falling down. Have you realized that? The kind of praise. The kind of worship. The kind of glory David encountered. It fell. It was lost. But there was a prophecy for its restoration. And it was going to be restored in the church era. Because James is quoting this verse. For us. In the church era. He is going to build again. May God build the tabernacle of David. With those who are seated here. Build again. Build again. We have had movement like that. We've had movement like that. We have had prayer movement. That lasted for 100 years. Like the Moravian movement. It was a prayer chain. They prayed for 100 years non-stop. Yeah. We've also had movement like that. Even with praise and worship. In history. There is a church in Switzerland. Called St. Morris Abbey. Do you know that that church. Had a prayer chain. To praise and worship God for 1500 years. You can go and search it. 1500 years. They celebrated their 1500th year. In 2015. 2015. Yeah. Because of a major revolution. That broke out. In the early church. So God says he's going to restore the tabernacle of David. He says I will build it again. I will build again the ruins thereof. And set it up. For which reason? Why will God restore praise? Why will God restore worship? Like David's time. The next verse. That the residue of men might seek after the Lord. That's soul winning. You can sing for many to come to Christ. That the residue of men. Might seek after the Lord. And all the Gentiles. The unbelievers. Upon whom my name is called. So the reason for this ministry. Is to bring souls to Christ. Hallelujah. That's the reason. Now listen. When David was bringing the ark into the tabernacle. Now the ark of the Lord had been. Abandoned. And David went to bring the ark to his. Tabernacle. So that the worship could begin. But David made. Some mistakes. When they fetched the ark. From the house of Abinadab. They put the ark on wheels. An ox cart. Wheels and bolts. Driven by an ox. Or oxen. They put the ark on it. That was a mistake. You know why David did that? David made a serious mistake. Because that is how. The ark was taken by the Philistines. And it troubled the Philistines. So when it was coming back to the Jews. The means by which the Philistines brought the ark. To the Jews. Was to put it on an ox cart. Ox cart. Sorry. And it was driven by wheels and bolts. And instead of David. Carrying the ark. by the due order prescribed in the scriptures, David is imitated the Philistines to bring the ark. That was his problem. He imitated the Philistines and brought the ark. And what happened? When the ark reached the treacherous floor, Uzzah stumbled, tried to touch it and keep it from falling. The Lord struck him and he died. That place was called Perez Uzzah, which means the breach of Uzzah. Now there are so many lessons to learn here regarding the spirituality of music. The breach of Uzzah. Are you following? Praise God. Alright. Say the breach. Now there is a breach in praise and worship in the music ministry. There is a breach which the Lord promised to close up. There is a breach. Now turn with me to the book of 1 Chronicles. Now, first of all, I want us to read Amos 9 verse 11. Amos 9 verse 11. Amos 9 verse 11. In that day, I will raise up the tabernacle. Now, Amos is also prophesying about the restoration of praise and worship. I will raise up the tabernacle. The tabernacle of David that has fallen and close the breaches thereof. Now, what are the breaches? Close the breaches thereof. You see, where the axe tumbled, there was a breach. The name of the place was called Perez Uzzah, which means the breach of Uzzah. But God prophesied that when he restores this Davidic praise, he's going to close the breaches. Now, the word breach in the Hebrew actually speaks of a pathing. There's a late pathing for doing something. But instead of following the course or the pathing or the model that has been given us, we try to do it otherwise. God has put the principles by which his praise and his worship should be governed. You see, instead of following it, if you do it in your own way, that is what brings the breach. That is a breach. Not following the ordained governing principles. That's a breach. Now, it is called Perez Uzzah. Now, Uzzah in the Hebrew means man's strength. Now, Uzzah is God's strength. But Uzzah is man's strength. So, we have enlisted human strength so much in the area of worship and praise. Meanwhile, this ministry belongs to the most holy order. Yeah. Enlisted human strength. David imitated the fact that Philistines. Do you know that when it comes to music, we have imitated the world so much? We have imitated the world. He saw how the Philistines brought You know why Uzzah touched it? Because the ark had been in his father's house. In their house for many years. So, he had become so familiar with the ark. So familiar. Most of you have become you may have become familiar with God. But that's dangerous. You must keep the reverence. It was on the ark was driven by wheels and bolts. Wheels and bolts. That's how the Philistines did it. And David did the same thing. But that was a mistake. First Chronicles 15 verse 13. Look at what it said. For because he did it not at the first, the Lord our God made a breach upon us for that we sought him not after the due order. There's a due order in seeking God. There's a due order. He says, we didn't seek him after the due order. There's an order, a prescribed order. God ordained that to carry the ark. The ark is his presence. The ark must be carried on men's shoulders. You see, where we exhort Christ. There were four rings on the ark and there were some holes in the ark. There were holes in the ark. It was to be carried by four men by the ark. That is the due order. Instead of men carrying the presence, they put it on wheels and bolts, systems and structures. You see, sometimes we can have quality music. We can have quality instruments. We can have quality microphone. We can have quality, once again, speakers. We can have quality lights. Everything is quality. We are hoping that we can have these systems and structures will carry the presence. But God ordained that the presence should be carried by men. Men who are prepared and willing to wait on him to carry his presence. So, all of these things are very necessary because we need excellence in the house of God. But this excellence must not be a substitution for the re-glory which must be born on men's shoulders. Now, do you know why it was easy for the cats, the wheels to carry the ark? Because the ark was heavy. It was 288 pounds. So, it was not possible for men to carry it. So, it is so easy to put the ark on wheels and boats to carry it instead of men's shoulders. So, we may put a lot in all of these things, but the most important thing is you carrying the weight of his glory. So, many don't want to have the time to spend quality time to carry the weight of his glory to stand before God's people and to lead them in his manifest presence to usher them into the intimacy and the glories of God. They feel it is heavy. Why will I spend two hours praying before coming to lead praise and worship? Why will I spend three hours praying and fasting to come and lead God's people? That is how to carry the ark. Why will I spend time worshiping, spend time in the word, spend time with Jesus and intimacy before leading the people? So, many don't want to carry it on their shoulders. They think it's too heavy. You know why it is heavy? Because you've been ignoring it. The more you ignore his presence, it becomes heavier every time. But we are meant to carry his presence and bear it before the people. So, when you stand before God's people, what a privilege. What a privilege. What a privilege. What a privilege. Prepare for it in heart, in mind, in time with the Lord. In quality time. Receive divine oracles. Spend time with the Lord before pouring to the people of God. Praise God. Yeah. So, it's a bridge. It has been ordained that we carry the ark. We bear his presence. Praise God. Hallelujah. I said hallelujah. Are you here or you are going home? Now, before I conclude, I want to touch on the protocols of worship. The protocols of worship because that is also after the deal order. The protocols of worship. David gave us a structure, a governing principle. Protocol actually speaks of steps. Sometimes, in our worship services, we compromise the steps so we don't see God's glory. For instance, a lot of churches will do worship before they do praise. That's a violation to divine order. That's a violation. You don't begin services by worshiping, then you praise. It's a violation. That's not a protocol. Praise God. Now, you can't just begin service by worshiping. It takes preparation to worship. Worship is a deep spiritual thing. To come to the place where you are prepared for worship, you must have passed over the veil of the flesh. When it comes to praise, the Bible says, let everything that has breath praise the Lord. But when it comes to worship, it doesn't say, let everything that has breath worship the Lord. It says that the hour is that the true worshipers will worship the Father in spirit and in truth. That goes a little further. Obviously, you can be singing, but you are divorced from the song. You are not deeply into it. Deep calls on to deep at the night. Anoints of that water sprout. So what are the protocols laid in the book of Psalms for our worship? Are you ready? Now, let me add number one myself. I believe that before you usher the gospel point to deep worship, it's best start by preparation. So number one is preparation. You prepare your heart. The reason is because when the people have come to worship the Lord, A lot, a lot. When you start worshiping God, it's hard to connect because many of them are there with their worries and their burdens and cares and anxieties. There are so many things they're thinking about. So it takes some time for them to connect. So you need to prepare their hearts for the worship. So sometimes you can employ words that will encourage them or quote scriptures that will calm them down. Like the Bible says, be careful for nothing, but in everything, by prayer and supplications, with thanksgiving, let your requests be made known to God. The Bible says, casting your curse upon him for he cares for you. Jesus says, in this world you shall have tribulation, you shall have trouble, but be of good cheer, I have overcome the world. You can either exhort them or say something, a few words, to just cause them to relax and open their hearts. Because some of them are there with too many burdens. Whilst we are singing, they are disconnected. Praise God. So it begins with preparation. Preparing their heart. The next step is what is called songs of ascent. Songs of ascent. Now this was how it was observed in biblical times. What are songs of ascent? Songs of ascent are songs that are recorded from Psalm 120 to Psalm 134. There are 15 songs, 15 songs of ascent, Psalm 120 to Psalm 134. Now when pilgrims went to Jerusalem, they got there to worship God, but there's a place where the worship began. It didn't begin with worship, it began with songs of ascent. Now there's a place in Jerusalem, when they reach there, it begins to ascend to the Temple Mount. So the place of ascent, when they reach there and they start moving up, it's a place of ascent. That is when they start singing the songs of ascent. Now they are getting to the temple, but they start preparing before they get there. So they start with songs of ascent. 15 songs. Now these songs of ascent, if you read all of these Psalms, that prepares the heart. You realize that they are, basically they are about our longing for God's presence. Our gratitude for God's deliverance. Our reliance on God's help. For instance, if you sing, "We will celebrate our God," they are songs of ascent. If you sing songs like, "On the mountains," they are songs of ascent. Even singing songs like, "So, so wonders Jesus they do," these are all songs of ascent. You know, longing for his presence, reliance on God's, reliance on his help, you know. After they start offloading their burdens, you start with the songs of ascent. It could be about three songs or four songs. Something like that. Then, the Bible says in Psalm 100, now, all of this protocol structure is also in Psalm 100. Then, when they have ascended to the temple site, they have to enter the gate. These are the protocols. How do you enter the gate? With thanksgiving. So the next point is thanksgiving. So there's preparation, there's the songs of ascent, then the next level is thanksgiving. Psalm 100 starts with a joyful song. All those joyful sounds are part of songs of ascent. But in verse 4, we have, you enter the gate. What does it mean to enter the gate? You are knocking to enter. What you used to knock to enter is thanksgiving. Hallelujah. Now, thanksgiving actually is an open door. In the Hebrew, the word thanksgiving is the word yada. Yada. I know you are acquainted with the word yada. But in the Hebrew, the word yada is spelled yud, daleth, hey. That's how to spell yada in the Hebrew. Yud, daleth, hey. Now, in the Hebrew alphabet, every alphabet has a permanent pictogram. A permanent picture that tells us what that word is. So yud in the Hebrew is the hand. Daleth. In the Hebrew, it's a door. And hey in the Hebrew is the word for grace. So thanksgiving is spelled yud, daleth, hey. You know what it means? The hand that opens the door of grace. So when you start giving thanks, actually, you are asking for the door to be opened to you. That is why we enter his gate with thanksgiving. You are ushered into it with thanksgiving. So now, you start. Thanking God. Songs of thanksgiving. It's very important. Now, all of this is preparing the hand. All of this is preparing the hand. Giving thanks. Giving thanks. Now, when you thank God well, you break forth into praise. So you enter into his gate with thanksgiving and into his court with praise. So the entrance to the door is what? Thanksgiving. But when you enter into the court, you start praising. So in your services, thanksgiving. Before praise. Now, what are the differences? Now, they are very similar. For thanksgiving is even pretty similar. But there are unique differences. You thank God for his goodness. You praise God for his greatness. And you worship God for his holiness. Yeah. So you thank God for his goodness. God has been good. But you praise God for his greatness. God is great. And we know him not. Neither the number of his years can we search him out. God is great. God is great. So we praise God for his greatness, but we worship God for his holiness. We worship him in the beauty of holiness. So ascent, you ascend. The gate, thanksgiving. The court with praise. Very powerful. You start praising God. Start praising God. Now, when you do the praise well, if you praise well, if you praise well, the praise will, you will enter into high praise. Now, the Bible mentions high praise. Now, if you praise well, your praise can be converted into high praise. High praise means that it is, the praise is intensified in quality. That means that, now the Bible says that in Psalm 47:7, that God is the king of all the earth. "Sing ye praises with understanding." So make sure that what the people are singing is with understanding. You realize that sometimes after many years, some of the songs we've sang, it's after many years we get to understand the song we're singing, we didn't even understand those words. Praise God. Praise God. Praise God. Praise God. Praise God. Praise God. Praise God. Praise God. Jesus Christ and his sacrifice is the crux, the Magna Carta, the crux of our worship, of our praise and thanksgiving. Now, in the Old Testament, you know how they give thanks? They give thanks by taking a lamb. That was a peace offering or the thank offering. You take a lamb. What is a lamb? What does a lamb remind you of? Jesus is the Lamb of God that taketh away the sins of the world. So God ordained that they had to give thanks in a way that reminds God of his Son. So God required a lamb even in their thanksgiving offering. That means Jesus is the center of our thanksgiving. One mistake David did is that when they took the ark, they were praising and praising and dancing. The Bible says they really danced. But the mistake is that they didn't offer the sacrifice of blood. And David knew it was a mistake. It wasn't the due order. So in their restoration, when David went back for the ark in the house of Obed-Edom, he was amazed that for three months he had been blessed. You know what? He got a secret. The Bible says that this is what David did. They walked for six paces. One, two, three, four, five, six. Then they would stop and they would offer a sacrifice of blood. And they would go another six paces. Another sacrifice. But David is crystal crazy. Because from where they took it to where his tabernacle was, actually 12 miles. So I wonder how he did it. It's 12 miles. So I know he can do it. But there was a time they sacrificed a thousand animals for sacrifice. That's where Solomon learned it from. Radical for God. So they kept sacrificing blood. Six paces and they would sacrifice. Because previously there was no sacrifice of blood. You know why? The central focus of our praise and worship, thanksgiving, must be Jesus and his finished work. His death. His death. So that is the reality, the focus of our praise and worship. So where are we? We are in the court, right? That is praise. You praise God for his goodness. But if you, now if you thank God well, your thanksgiving will be well done. That is praise. That is praise. break into praise and if you praise well especially with understanding make sure your your congregants the people you are leading on understand those words you are singing yeah the bible says sing he praises with understanding and when you yourself came with the glory came bearing the ark with the presence i'm telling you that the praise can intensify into high praise high for worship because when it comes to worship because when it comes to worship because when it comes to worship the our commit and is and now is when the our commit and is and now is when the our commit and is and now is when the true worshipers shall worship the the true worshipers shall worship the the true worshipers shall worship the father in spirit father in spirit father in spirit that has to do with the spirit that has to do with the spirit that has to do with the spirit and in truth and in truth The veil of the flesh is gone. It's like you are ready. And worship is an etymology from the word worth-ship. It is the estimation of the worthiness of God. Now with all the songs, you see how worthy God is. How radiant, how glorious. His estimation, his worth, his surpassing worth. You see God, his brilliance. You're on earth, but it's like you're taken away. You see God zooms larger to your senses. That's worship. Hallelujah. And you participate in his glory in the Shekinah. That's amazing. But sometimes there's a way we can secularize worship. We can secularize worship in our meetings. Worship is so holy that, listen, listen, when you are worshiping, I don't think you should bring money to the altar when you are worshiping. It is reverential. You can do that in praise, but when we are at a level of worship, adoration is deeper, it's profound. The key characteristic of praise is joy. But when it comes to worship, it's all about reverence and awe and stillness. Yeah. In fact, it's an insult to God for you to attend to your phone when you are worshiping. It is dishonoring. Will you do that to your president, the president of the country? Or the king in your village? It's an insult. And there's a way we can secularize worship. Let me give you an example. We are worshiping and the usher is going around serving water. The usher is just putting water on the chest, around the chest, on the ground. We are secularizing worship. We are reducing the reverence we have for God. It's improper. And there's something I've realized that is so bad. Sometimes they are in deep worship. And the man of God, the invited guest, enters into the congregation. Can you imagine some of the worshipers who stop the worship and they start jumping and, "Shall we walk home?" They introduce the man of God. This is abomination. This is an insult. It's irreverent. It's dishonoring. It is God we are worshiping. Forget about whoever is coming. Let the person who is receiving him, receive him well. But forget about him temporarily because we are before a greater king. The king of kings. Don't give any focus on him. Let the one who is seeing to him. Just say to me, "I'm begging you to come and see that." But don't stop the service. Don't stop the worship if you are in worship. I went somewhere and they did that to me. It was almost like my heart was tearing out of my body. So why? Why are you doing this? So I came and I didn't even mind them, concentrate on them. I just came and went on the floor, didn't mind them. I just wanted them to know that this thing is very reverential. So we can secularize worship. The next thing is that I've seen places where, in the midst of worship, they will pause and say that, okay, the car with this registration number. So, so and so, she will see this usher. You are blocking some cars. They will announce all and they will hand over the microphone again. Hey! I wonder how the angels are feeling. It is dishonoring. It is honoring. The truth is that if you go through the process, never bring praise after worship. By the time you are worshiping, the reverence for God is so high, so profound, so deep. And when you do the worship well, what happens is that God's manifest glory, manifest presence, not his abiding presence, begin to be revealed. That is when we have prophets. I have realized that sometimes, there were times in the midst of worship, prophecies start coming. After a while, it went down. True or false. Or maybe you don't even know what I am talking about. If you are a young person here. In the midst of the worship, the prophecies will come. God will start speaking to us. You know, sometimes revelations, manifestations. Because the glory of God is so tangible. It is so tangible. Because the worship is real. It is real. It is unity in your heart. By that time, animosity cannot be in your heart. By that time, you can't be in that realm of glory and have offenses in your heart and bitterness in your heart. You can't see and taste his glory and cohabit the glory with bitterness and unforgiveness. They will leave your heart. Because you have seen his glory. Hallelujah. Praise God. Praise God. And when we go through the process well. You know what happens. The blessings are enormous. They are enormous. Now God prophesied that when he restores the tabernacle of David. You know what is going to happen. Now let's go back to probably my last verse. Amos chapter 9. Verse 11 to 13. Amos 9, 11 to 13. In that day, I will raise up the tabernacle of David which has fallen and close up the bridges thereof. All the human strengths. We have enlisted this ministry with human strength, human concept, human ideologies. God will close up all those bridges so that we will line up with the due order as prescribed by the scripture. And close up the bridges thereof and I will raise up a throne of God. And I will raise up a throne of God. And I will build it as in the days of old. May this restoration be seen in your personal ministry. That you are living this retreat with the tabernacle of David restored. It's sanctity. It's purity. It's holiness. It's reverence. It's character. It's glory. You are carrying it in your ministry. Leading many to taste of God and his beauty. Verse 12. So the reason for this is to win souls. This version says that they may possess the remnants of Edom. But in the New Testament it says that the remnants or the residue of Gentiles might come unto the Lord. Now verse 13. Behold, it is come, says the Lord, that the plowman shall overtake the reaper and the treader of graves, him that soweth seed. He says that when the tabernacle of David is restored, there is going to be the miracle of the compression of time. The miracle of the compression of time. What is this miracle? He says that it is come that the plowman shall overtake the reaper. Now in Israel, they plow the field in October. They sow the seeds. They plow in September, sow the seeds in October. Then by the next year, April, they are ready for harvest. So it's about six months interval or something. They are ready for harvest. But it says that when the tabernacle of David is restored, things will be done rapidly so fast that the one who is plowing will overtake the one who is reaping. This is happening in September or something, but you will overtake the one who is going ahead and it's in April. That means things are going to be done rapidly so fast. Amen. Spiritual acceleration. What could have been done in ten years is done in ten months. And the miracle you needed in five years is done in five days. That is the kind of miracles that happens when the tabernacle of David is restored. Things are done faster. Faster. So you see, when you are in God's presence, you linger. It's as though it is slower. Just linger. Because things are going to happen faster. When you are preparing to carry the weight of his Shekinah to bring it to the people, it's as if you are lingering. But the truth is that the result is that things are going to be done faster. They are going to overtake. And things that have remained past in your life, there will be a comeback. And there is going to be acceleration. Hallelujah. This is a very honorable ministry. And you all must prophesy. When singers prophesy me, it doesn't mean you are a prophet. But you see, your ministry should create a prophetic environment. In a prophetic environment, even Balaam's donkey prophesied. You see, in a prophetic environment, you speak the mind of God. You can edify. You can exalt. You can comfort. That's simple prophecy. As I said in 1 Corinthians 14, verse 3, you singers must prophesy. Speak the mind of God. Sing the heart of God. You prepare with the Holy Spirit before coming to the stage. And the right songs sung at the right time, under the inspiration of the Holy Ghost, under his protocol, will raise the people up. Will bless the people up. And if you play music, if you play instruments of any sort, the divine pattern, after the order of the Davidic tabernacle, is that they were to prophesy with the musical instruments. Prophesy with the cymbals. Prophesy with the harp. Prophesy with the psaltery. When I go to prophesy with the keyboard. When I go to prophesy with the drum. You play and many are edified. You played and discouraged is encouraged. You play and something amazing begins to happen in your spirit. That means playing drum is spiritual. Playing the keyboard is spiritual. Playing the guitar is spiritual. All of these things are deeply spiritual. They are deeply prophetic. They carry the weight of his glory. The weight of his substance. The weight of his essence. The weight of his power. The weight of his kabod. The weight of his doxa. This is the ministry of the most holy place. The ministry of holiness. The ministry of his reverence. The ministry of his glory. One thing have I desired of the Lord, and that will I seek after. One thing have I desired. May that be your longing as the heart panteth after the water brooks, so panteth my soul after thee, O God. I had rather been a doorkeeper in the house of my God than to dwell in the tent of wickedness. They go from strength to strength. Every one of them appeared before God in Zion. May you be edified. May you be strengthened. May your ministry be refreshed. May God refresh your ministry. May God energize your ministry. May God strengthen your ministry. May you receive new lights, new revelation, new illumination, new insight. In Jesus' name, I speak over your lives that something is touching your mouth. The key to your glory is on your lips. You will speak and the glory of God will be issued out of your lips. The river glory is increasing in your life. The river glory is increasing. There is a measurement from your ankle to your knee, from your knee to your waist until you are covered by the river glory. Until the river glory takes up your standing and you swim in the glory. We are made to carry. We are made to carry His glory. We are made to carry His beauty. We are made to carry the divine presence. You are to bear the ark on your shoulder. This is the due order. Come on, lift up your voice in desire, in enthusiasm, in ennex and keen interest. Say, God, I want you to transform the face of my ministry. Transform. Transform the face of my ministry. Transform this ministry. You said you are going to restore the tabernacle of David, which is falling. You are going to repair the ruins thereof and raise it up. Let it be seen in my life. Let it be seen in my ministry. Let it be seen in my days. Now, now, now is our scepter time. Now is the day of salvation. Now, now, we are workers together with Him. We are laborers together with Him. Now, now, now, and be not drunk with wine, where rain is excess, but be filled with the Holy Spirit. Speak unto yourselves Psalms. spiritual songs. Making melody in your heart unto the Lord. In two minutes, in three minutes, you are receiving freshness, freshness, freshness. You shall be anointed with fresh oil. One thing have I desired of the Lord, and that will I seek after, that I may dwell in his presence all the days of my life, in his temple, to inquire in his temple, and to behold his beauty. We behold God in the beauty. We behold God in the beauty of holiness. We behold God in the beauty of holiness.
