So Courtney was so attracted to Adam. Adam would never date a Courtney. Girl. Courtney looked like her little she just she looked like her feelings. We're hurt. We're hurt. I guess when the experts turn to Courtney's package I guess all the women just a cat had their tongues because no one was able to hold her accountable and I hate that. I hate that too. She has a she has a undeniable way of leading with empathy and then she snatches a back row quick. Oh she snatches a back row quick and then she goes into but you didn't do this. And then when she gets the heat then she comes out and she's got things out and she attacks. She's she's I don't want to say she's weird. I'd like to say she's different and how she moves. And no one on that cast called her on the carpet. Yo all know that she talked to she did she emasculated him from day one. She was like Nikki 2.0. She was not attracted to him. I blame the experts. Yeah I do too. I think that if you're going to say y'all are therapists there has to be a point where you say actually this has gone too far and we can no longer co-sign this relationship. Yeah and I feel like Nick and Courtney's relationship was the perfect example of a relationship that should have the experts should have thrown the flag in it because she was emotionally abusive to him. And at the reunion after the experts had fully watched that footage they should have been the first ones to address the way that she talked to him. It shouldn't have even had to have been a group vote. That is a time it Paul like if you can stop and say something to the girlfriend in the audience somebody should have had something to say to Courtney for the way that she spoke to Nick. Yeah and then ask him well why didn't you leave? He's not a bad guy. He's not a bad guy. What does that mean? He's not a bad guy. I don't know what that means. And that the problem was she is an alpha and he let her push him over. Courtney. Dear heart. Yeah those are two different things and I'm going to go with the latter sorry mom I had to go there. That's what you are. You're no alpha. You had the best possible guy who was willing to do all the things. And you from day one. Day one. Not ever. He didn't and but the thing is this is this is something that I always see with dominant women and I am one. Dominant man does not want a dominant woman. Girl. We're hurt. We're hurt. Like wait you're not dropping me and yeah. She was hard working with that. But at least from what I've seen. I typically see dominant men wanting passive women. That is why Adam liked Marissa. She was more go with the flow. Adam doesn't want to sit up and argue with Courtney all day. That's not happening. I mean she's such a walking cluster mess of a contradiction. Nick told her what he needed. And and let's go through all of the offenses. Nikki I'm going to need that list. Okay. Because there's way more than 10. He told her that he needed somebody. He needed he needed a compliment. He wanted to feel like he was heard. And she cuts him off and says. You need to be yourself around me. Well, he's trying to be himself around you. You do a romantic little thing. I was always concerned about the candles on the couch. That was always weird to me. And then you say I don't really do this. This is Courtney. Now you're making now you're putting him in a position to feel awkward. And that feel good about what you're doing because your heart's not in. I mean the list we can keep going. We can literally do a whole episode on them. She is wild. And do you think that that boyfriend that she brought is anywhere near an alpha? No. No. And Nora do I really know if that's really her boyfriend. I mean, I literally thought I was Oscar Delahuea. Like I don't know Oscar is. I don't know who her boyfriend is. I don't think she does either for real. I think that she wanted emotional support when she came to this reunion. I think she did. She was eight up online. And I think that she I haven't read the chatter. Oh, absolutely. She's getting eight up online because of the way she talks to Nick. It was absolutely insane. The way that she spoke to that man. And she knew that she was going that it was going to be a rough reunion for her. But then it wasn't a rough reunion for her. And that is where I feel like they dropped the ball. Yeah. Yeah. She I would have liked the experts to really like hold her accountable for what she said she wanted. We kind of saw the experts kind of passively letting the couples drive there for you in which is a good therapeutic thing. But I think this couple I think she for her own safety and wellbeing. And she moves into the world prepared to eviscerate a masculine another man needed to be held accountable. I mean, she asked. She was asked why she struggles with his authenticity. And she says that her answer was really more about what her own failure was. Well, I'm not good at drawing the real him out. And I could not give him the softness that wouldn't let him that would have let him show her his depth. That is unusually that is a very generous self-assessment of yourself. You can't bring out the authenticity in him because you're not authentic. That's what's really right. Like and you're not kind. You're not nice. You didn't make it a safe space. No safe space for him to be vulnerable and talk to you about whatever you didn't I bet you don't know anything about Nick. I bet you don't know how he grew up. I bet you don't know what his hobbies are, what he likes to do because you did not create a safe space where he felt free to share with you. And for that reason, the marriage was never going to work. Never going to work. And I'm so glad that he came out and advocated for himself. He was on ready. Sad and the front was on ready. So you knew just by the reunion seating like they were not they were literally opposite to the stage because he was bringing the heat. And when he was asked and I'm so glad they asked this question whether being media savvy hurt him, he was like absolutely not. I just came there fully authentic for an authentic experience. I was intentional. I was thoughtful about everything that I said. And he said some people need to think before they speak. Actually, I could give a couple of people in here a few pointers. There wasn't because that's the truth though. Like there was nothing wrong with Nick. We didn't get to then I'm sure there are things wrong with him because he I don't think he's perfect. No, he was either. He was in a relationship because Courtney's just, you know, there was no room for anything else after all of Courtney's insults and her flaws. Yeah, let's keep going. So then he describes the loop. He would tell her that he wished that she would compliment him and that he did not feel heard, which is valid. It's healthy communication there. She would cut him off and ask why are you not yourself around me? She apologized for coming across as not very nice. And then she said it also is who she is. And that's that's the truth. I feel like Courtney is not nice and she is used to dating men that are also not nice. So then experts, I wish me and you had to take it. They needed to move and let me and you do this part. Yeah, yeah. Okay, just take a break, get a coffee break, come back for the picture perfect couple Michelle and Cameron. Then the room is automatically having to take sides on whether or not she had been rude to him. And her response was that she could have come in and not stood by who she is, but that's who she is. And that's okay, which means that you're rude. You're not alpha, you're rude, right? Yeah. And then when the question is asked who on this reunion stage thought that she was rude, which was not the right question to ask, by the way, thought she was rude, all of the men are feeling this because yeah, you're hell of rude. Where were the women? I would have said, I love women, but the way you talked to him was wild. There was a way to be her friend and also be honest in that moment. Their face is told everything at that dinner where she didn't sit next to him. I think it was that dinner where she didn't want to sit next to him, but then ended up sitting next to him. And she kind of drugged her birthday dinner. Right, you know, and they were looking like, but none of them said anything. Are you scared of her? You're scared of that? Like what? I just don't understand what their why was in terms of why they did not name that this was not a susceptible behavior on how a wife talks to a husband or potential long-term wife talks to husband. And that just kind of floored me. They do they do that on these shows where it's like the women are all friends and they want to be girls girls in support each other. So they like they clearly talked off camera. Yeah. And they got you know what I mean, they're running the alliance. Yeah, they've gotten a alliance for the way mecha talk to talk to Belle and for the way Sean talk to Nikki. They're on go. So when you turn around and ask them about one of their own, like, oh, do y'all think that she was out of pocket? It's like, oh, well, no, we didn't come here to hold her accountable. Belle mecha talked the way mecha talked to you is the same way that she in the same vein that she talked to Nick. I don't see how you can't. It was worse. See that? Yeah, it was way worse. It was horrible. That's somebody's I didn't love it. So I got to be honest with you. I, um, I am proud of him that he said the reason why I didn't leave is because you told me not to quit at the first red flag. And so I stayed. I have a history of leaving at the first red flag. Okay. And I stayed. Um, and I think he said he sometimes he leaves after a day or two, but he stayed in for the long haul. He was committed. So I, I, I'm, I'm very proud of Nick. I'm not proud of the women for not backing Nick. They should have backed him. And for her to say, oh, I could see it's, it's a boy. What did she call it? A boy's a boy's a boy's a lion's when they all agreed that she had been, she had been rude. She called it something. Like, I'll sit down. You're rude. Girl, all of the country agree. Yes. Yes. That's way talk to that man. Wow. Absolutely. Can we talk about little Devon come, come. No, they didn't spend a lot of time on them. Yeah, they had a very healthy break up. Yeah. I liked how they walked out. Um, despite the fact that they had a horrible ending in the show. They ended before the finale. I like how he came out and treated her, you know, he was a gentleman. And, you know, I thought that was sweet. I liked Devon. I was shocked that he's still single. How are you, girl? How are you, girl, Belle? How are Belle? I know her. Do you have him? I know Belle's diems are popping. Did she say she was still single? Mm-hmm. Or did they even ask her? They're both single. What's happening? I need to where they now. Now. I need to. No, you Marissa are both single. Belle and Devon are single. Well, you know who's my single? Who? Michelle Cameron. Can we talk about this? Yeah, he proposed. Yeah, I got all I'm married, he proposed. Woo. After I did that, Mary, she lost her job. Wait a minute. Let me just go back to that. Uh, we've got to get into that. But I'm just going to say I was okay with him reproposing and really making it official on his terms. I thought it was sweet. And I applaud the ring. Good job, Cameron. Good job. Good job. Yeah, beautiful. But ain't it funny, though? She lost her job. Ain't it funny? And Cameron's went down. I feel like that was the saving grace in their relationship. How so? Do you remember last last week we were covering this? We were saying like when the cameras go down and it's time to split those bills and he doesn't match up to what you asked the experts to give you or a problem with that. But after the cameras went down, she lost her job. And then he had to really step up. I'm sure he stepped up in that moment. Feels good about it too. He feels good about it. And I feel like he needed that because his confidence was going to suffer because he was the breadwinner and it allowed her to see him lead. And even now if she makes more money, it doesn't really matter because he was able to carry her through when she was laid off. Like she'll never forget that. You know what I mean? You know what? I think that that humbling is the humbling she needed. I think so too because definitely she's an empowered woman. We all see that and she has all her debts in a row and all of the things. But I think she needed to she made such an issue of him. He has to make a certain amount and all of the things. So now she has to do the work of a relationship and then she has to it forces her to be in a partnership where they're kind of on an equal plane. Well, yeah, I guess they're kind of on an equal plane field to some extent. I think so too. And it seems like he's gotten a new job. I'm sure that job has come with more money. But I feel like every woman wants to feel like if something's going going wrong in a relationship like my partner has gotten me. Whether you make more than me, whether you like less than me showing up, it actually doesn't have to do. It has to do with like your character. It actually doesn't have to do with the amount of money that you make. Whether you can show up for me the way that I show up for you. And I feel like when she lost her job, he had the ability to show her that. So now I'm kind of rooting for them. I don't I said that they were going to break up after a union. I don't think they will. I don't think that they will. First of all, I want to applaud Sean for naming what we had named about the money, but being an issue in him. So it was it was interesting how those tables had turned and sad that they both lost their jobs. The two people. I don't like people losing their jobs and their jobs either, man. It's just funny how and I don't mean that funny like immediately, but it was funny that it was just ironic that he mentioned about her. I just thought it was ironic that they both lost their jobs. And I do hope that they both get a job. I really do. Yeah, she said that she found a job, but I get your point that it is ironic because Sean made it a point of mentioning that the money was really important to Michelle. And then after cameras cut, she's the one that loses the money. This is a girl that a young woman, rather, who is used to all of the ducks being lined up in a row and being able to control those ducks. I mean, if the relationship still would have had this power differential between her making more money than him, she still controls the ducks. I feel sometimes that I'm now listened to, I would just want you to listen to me more often and evaluate situations with me and lead me towards success. Learning is a form of love. You know, and I'm quite sure him working at the CSU level, it's probably not to the level of what she was making, but now she has to literally get vulnerable and lean into the fact that not everything is perfect, you know, this is going to definitely take some work and I'm going to have to move and groove in this relationship to make it a a a marriage and to make it work for the long haul, whereas before she kind of helped the cards and it was just kind of like, okay, you're just going to fit perfectly and seamlessly into my life. No, not they got to both work the program and I do, I like how you set that. It was their saving grace. And I even liked the fact that they're now moving to California because it was like, are you going to move to Seattle? Are you going to move to Portland? What have been somebody sacrificing something for the other person? How about we both just start fresh in a new place? Maybe divine intervention. Yeah. I call it God. Some people call it the universe, but it could be divine intervention that it worked out that way. And I am rooting for them. I just, and maybe that will, my, my difficulty in digesting her was that she was so cocky and so misknow it all and I just have admitted bias towards people like that. Yeah. Yeah. Life's going to humble you a little bit. Yeah. I mean, to tell a 50-year-old couple, nearly 50-year-old couple, how they need to move in. That's not, no. Yeah. Sit down, be humble. Yeah. Open your own stuff. But she didn't meet a dormat when she tried to do that. Nikki checked her real quick. She never did that again. Love it. Yeah. Love that. Love you. Love. I loved every bit of that. I did love/obviously I was super sad when they touched on her fertility. That was, I'm glad they talked about it because I think that that was a beautiful space that we were able to create, but my heart did go out for it to her there. Yeah. Yeah, for sure. I mean, I think these couples have matured in the last year. I actually am rooting for them all. I wish that Nikki and Sean would have worked out. I was really hoping that I was really hoping to see them work out. I wanted them to work out for my own selfish purposes of wanting to see two black couples meet who are bosses and, you know, do their thing. And that's the other petty thing that he said. You know, she took her, she showed her, she showed him her house. Yeah. That was petty. And then he names it Bougie. I've seen Bougie Ratter. And that's the kind of stuff that like, I just love it. Don't forget that she has seen the show since it's over. So she's tuning into, all of them are tuning into things that were said in confessionals and looking at it like, whoa, really? So that's probably adding to the heat that we saw too. That is adding to the heat. And I think that Belle was right when she said that it was the battle of the Beyonce's because it was. That is the battle of the Beyonce's. Like between Nikki and Sean, it felt like it was the battle of the Beyonce's. What is the battle? The Beyonce's though. Like, like, I think she was saying that he was like sassy and he was like petty and they went petty for petty, like match for match. And like you were saying like as a man, why are you, I just don't know what Beyonce had to do with it. That's where I was confused. Like, why is Beyonce in this chat? That was my part. Making it the Beyonce, but Sean trying to be the Beyonce. There you go, there you go. My poor dog is freaking out. She's like, he laughs so loud, mommy. Anyways. Okay, okay. It's cool. Okay. I'm wrapping up. Give her Chloe. Oh my god. The battle of the Beyonce's. Well, a time has been had. I have really loved this season. I think I want to just kind of close by asking. What do we want to see different next season? I advocate for more. I advocate for a longer season. And don't be giving it to me in three batches, okay? It's a lot. Give me. I mean, I like the three batches, but then again, I don't because it's hard for me to get nuanced about what I'm seeing episode to episode. Oh, I get your point. Okay. But I like the three batches, but that's also because I was expecting to have a longer season, like we typically have. And I felt like typically with Mary, with the way the show worked prior to it coming to peacock was that you have to wait a week for each episode and you got like 30 episodes to go. Okay. I don't want to watch this for. That's true. That's true. I mean, I think for just a simple passive viewing experience is I'm down for three batches before what we do. You can put some work in. Yeah. Now there's a work in front of cover episodes one through three. You really got to the point where this the iPad would just be on voice recording like I'll be right back. Yeah, record on the dialogue and I'll sort it out later. It's a lot. It's a lot to come in these episodes. I just want the experts to be a little bit handle their couples with a little bit more care next season. Yeah. Yeah. I mean that on the front end, don't pick couples or don't pick partners who are walking red flags. Felipe was never going to make it in any marriage. I want to say any political stage at this point, so get that out your head, Felipe. Yeah. Go ahead and wrap that completely. Maybe ASB. Yeah. I feel like they did a great job when they cast people like Marissa, people like Nick, people like Tori. There's a lot of good bell, Devon. So they did good, but then they put some just walking red flags in there. And I just don't think that it was fair to the partner who walked in there hoping to have a successful marriage with all the tools and had done the therapy and all the things to have a successful marriage. And then you get paired with somebody who has not done that same work. Yeah. Yeah. I mean, yes to all of that, yes to all of that. My only thing is I would, I would, in addition to, sorry, I'm going back up again. My only thing in addition to additional more transparent counseling sessions with a little bit more frequency or transparency for us as the audience, I would advocate for more early outs. We need a mid-season divorce check. Yes. Yeah. And I would love for the therapist. There are some cases where in extreme circumstances the therapist should be able to call it. That's why we need to be one of the experts next season. Yeah. Because if you, at a point that it's becoming unhealthy for a participant and you're supposed to be a therapist, I don't think you just should say, yep, get on back in there and sign up and keep stay with him for life. Even though I know this is unhealthy for you and this is not good for you, I don't, I don't really get that approach. Right. Yeah. Right. And I do think that we do have to recognize that part of what the experts do just in closing is to pair couples with people that are going to challenge them out of their comfort zone. If the Litz department was really important to Nikki, pairing her with somebody who doesn't necessarily meet that Idris Elber whatever criteria that she has made sense because they wanted her to move me on surface and to get deep with somebody who could really care I think we talked about that. You sometimes you just get matched up with what you need. But I would also say that if anytime, any future couple is walking down the aisle and they sense that the groom is the officiant and then you're mortified and you realize, oh no, this is my husband. And by the way, I'm not attractive. When that preacher or that officiant that is actually there says, does anybody object to the marriage, you say I do and walk and save us, save us. (laughs) You think it's actually saving yourself, right? Oh yeah, save yourself too. (laughs) But it is saving yourself because you think that you're doing the other person a favor by saying yes and going ahead, but then you end up doing more damage because you're in a relationship with somebody that you have no interest in. No interest in. (laughs) What's out right now? I kind of just stumbled upon this secret lives of suburban lives, double lives of suburban lives where, it's Christ and only fans are something going on. I do plan to dive into it.
