Republicans Drop Trump From Campaign Ads as Midterms Approach

This episode of the Midas Touch podcast explores a range of topics from personal health to political messaging and business tools. It highlights WHOOP as a clean, data-driven wearable that helps users understand their body’s needs without constant notifications. Xero and Odoo are introduced as vital tools for small business owners, offering unified, automated platforms that reduce administrative stress and improve financial clarity. The political section focuses on the shifting dynamics ahead of midterms, where MAGA Republicans are distancing themselves from Donald Trump in ads, while Democrats amplify criticism of GOP candidates over corruption, abuse, and policy failures—using emotional and factual narratives to connect with voters. Ads also spotlight local issues like affordable living, child safety, and economic inequality. On a scientific note, the show promotes fatty-15, a breakthrough nutrient derived from dolphin research, for its role in cellular health and aging. Ultimately, the episode underscores a broader theme: individuals and businesses benefit most when they prioritize transparency, personal well-being, and proactive decision-making—whether in health, finance, or civic engagement.

This episode of the Midas Touch podcast is brought to you by WHOOP, the wearable health and fitness coach that gives you personalized insights into your sleep, recovery, strain, stress, and overall health. Listen, I've tried a bunch of wearables and I found a lot of them to be so overwhelming. I don't need another screen constantly tapping me, pinging me, and sending me notifications. But that's what I love about WHOOP. The WHOOP 5.0 wearable is screenless, so it just sits quietly on my wrist collecting data. Whenever I want, I can open the companion app and get this incredibly detailed picture of what's happening with my body and actually use that information to make proactive decisions. And with a one-year-old, sleep has become a bit of a luxury. WHOOP helps me pinpoint the things that are actually affecting me. Did that 4 p.m. cup of coffee hurt my sleep? Did that run on the treadmill bring down my stress? How well am I actually recovering? WHOOP gives me a full picture of my health without overloading me, and it's helped me build a healthier routine around what my body is actually telling me. MAGA Republicans are panicking as we hit the home stretch before midterms, and they are deleting Donald Trump from their ads. They are deleting Donald Trump from their websites. Meanwhile, Democrats are highlighting how these MAGA Republicans were attached at the hip to Donald Trump, and their policies with Trump policies have destroyed this country. Get this. In May, Trump was mentioned in 40% of GOP broadcast ad airings. So far in October, that figure has fallen to just 1%. 1% messages, mentions of Trump in GOP ads in contrast. Democratic ads have increasingly mentioned Trump in recent weeks. The president has been mentioned in 21% of Dem broadcasts airing this month. Look at this visual right here of the amount spent by each party on ads mentioning Donald Trump leading until the midterm elections. As we get closer, Democrats are saying, Trump, Trump, Trump. Look at these Republicans. They're Trumpers, and they destroyed your lives. And the Republicans, are removing the references to Trump from their ads. Also, you have this Republican candidate's campaign website accidentally publishing the AI prompt, the president is not popular. Take a look right over here in Pratt for Congress. Residents want everyday purchases to be affordable. The president is not popular. So all messaging should be focused on local politics and local political needs. Oopsies. Didn't want to include that. So now I want to share with you, though, some of the incredible ads that Democrats are putting out. I'll even show you some ads that the MAGA Republicans are putting out as they try to distance themselves from Donald Trump. The first one I want to show you is James Tallarico calling out the Trumper, the crooked Ken Paxton. He goes, Tallarico goes, Ken Paxton knows about Texas and Italy and India and Malta and China. And Dubai do just travels everywhere on the taxpayer dime. Here, play this clip. This election, remember that Ken Paxton is the only candidate who truly knows Texas and the Caribbean and India, Taiwan, South Africa, Iceland, Dubai for New Year's Eve with fugitives of the U.S., five different ski towns in the Rockies, an Idaho resort, Georgia to watch the Masters, Oklahoma, wineries, that's plural, in Napa Valley, China, New Jersey, two stops at Disney World, Italy, Albania, Greece, Malta, London on America's 250th birthday. Yes, we can see you. He took nearly 1,000 trips while serving as attorney general, costing taxpayers $3.3 million. And if you elect him to the Senate, he'll do what he does best, take a flight out of Texas. But for James Tallarico, he's taken a normal number of trips and paid for them himself. I love that one. I also like this ad right here from Scott Colombe. He's running in Mississippi against MAGA Republican extremist Senator Sidney Clyde Smith. Watch this incredible ad. He goes, Colombe goes, she done lost her damn mind. You're playing this clip. Pick another protein. What the? Pick another senator instead. This one over here, powerful ad from Dr. Abdul El-Sayed showing his grandparents. Let's play this clip. El-Sayed, he's a total communist. Communists? We're Presbyterian. There's lots of ads making our grandson Abdul seem different. And he is different. Different about how he takes on the powerful. Stop listening to those lying ads. Take a walk. Read a book. Go on a boat ride, maybe. They think they can fool us. But us seniors, we're hip. Abdul doesn't always say the right thing. He got that from you. But he does the right thing. I'm Abdul El-Sayed, and I approve this message. Or how about this new Tallarico ad running statewide? I'll show it to you. Ken Paxton says I don't have his experience. And he's right. I've never been indicted for fraud. I've never been reported to the FBI for bribery. I've never been impeached by my own party. And I've never given a sweetheart deal to a pedophile. I have a different kind of experience. I've worked with both parties to cap the cost of insulin and pass the largest property tax cut in Texas history. I'm James Tallarico, and I approve this message because we need a different kind of experience in Washington. Now I'll show you a Democratic PAC ad showing how the Democrats are obsessed with bathrooms. Let's play it. Hello. What are you doing? Who are you? I'm your Republican congressman. Now that we're in charge, I'm checking to make sure there's no trans people in the wrong bathroom. Bathrooms are private. Don't you have anything better to do? I won the last election, and this is my priority. Now let's make sure you're really a girl. Let me show you the MAGA Republican PAC called Choose Freedom PAC. They've been running this during football games. They said, Michael is a normal guy. He loves tailgate, and he kind of hates politics. He was ready to skip voting this year, but he remembered Democrats are a bunch of crazies. Yeah, I'm not sure this is going to be working right now, but anyway, watch what they said. Michael is a normal guy. He loves a tailgate, and he kind of hates politics. He was ready to skip voting this year, but he remembered Democrats are crazier than his ex. They care more about their pronouns than his paycheck and push record high inflation and benefits for illegals. But with Republicans, he's making more. Companies are adding American jobs, and the border is closed. Michael won't quit on his team or his country. It's that simple. Vote Republican. Or how about MAGA Republican extremist from New Hampshire, John Sununu, whose new TV ad is like, I don't know Donald Trump. I've never even met the guy. I kid you not. That's what they're running with. I don't even know the guy. I didn't meet him. The way Chris Pappas tells it, I'm President Trump's long lost son. I've never even met the man. When the president's policies are bad for New Hampshire, I'll oppose them. Just like I opposed the war in Iran and the trade war with Canada. New Hampshire, independent. Pappas voted with Nancy Pelosi 99% of the time. That's California, Chris. I'm John Sununu, and I approve this message. Meanwhile, Dr. Amy Acton in Ohio is out with a new ad featuring her brother after vile Vivek Ramaswamy ran an ad featuring Dr. Amy Acton's estranged mother, who was a strange with Dr. Acton when Acton was 12 after her stepfather sexually assaulted her and her mother took the side of the stepfather after he was arrested and you had amy acton and her brother obviously were moved at a very young age out of their home because their stepfather sexually assaulted dr amy acton here is this powerful ad from amy acton let's play it i received a lot of abuse but amy always got the worst of it she continued to receive that abuse because she knew she had to protect me from from that and and that if she hadn't done that um who knows where i would have ended up and she's 11 and 12 years old and to think that that's somehow a talking point shame on vivek it's the contempt he has for amy is the contempt he has for ohio he's not fit to lead you and this ad i think is a great one from james talarico about ken paxton selling off texas let's play it ken paxton is selling off texas our land our water our communities anything to make a buck he gave data centers billions in special tax breaks and they gave him nearly half a million in campaign contributions now texans are paying the price with skyrocketing utility bills that's corruption data centers bankroll paxton they get tax breaks and New Deal for All Inc. is responsible for the content of this advertising. And an ad attacking Roger Marshall, the MAGA Republican extremist, for covering the Epstein files. Let's play it. I was 13 years old when I met Jeffrey Epstein. I was told about an old guy that just liked to get massages from young girls. When Jeffrey gave me that $300, I was very vulnerable. He used me in every way. I expected our leaders to hear our stories and actually hold our abusers accountable. They've only let us down. It's just not of much interest to me right now. When will protecting children from abusers be of interest to Senator Marshall? More on MAGA Republican extremist Marshall covering up the Epstein files. Let's play it. For years, Jeffrey Epstein abused young girls. Some were just 14. When the chance came to reveal the truth, Roger Marshall said releasing the files was necessary. Not that interesting to him. Then he went to the Senate floor and voted to keep the Epstein files sealed. Turns out Marshall took campaign money from people named in the Epstein files. Marshall called it a distraction. When the truth is that Roger Marshall is just a yes man for the Epstein class. 1861 Initiative is responsible for the content of this ad. How about we take a look in Iowa where there's this ad hitting Ashley Hinson, the MAGA extremist, running for the Senate seat there. Let's play it. Ashley Hinson left Iowa. In the rearview mirror and never looked back. Hinson voted seven times for the war and now gas is through the roof. She voted five times for the tariffs. Now Iowa farms are going under. Meanwhile, Ashley Hinson is full speed ahead. She's taken millions from corporations and lobbyists. And after just five years in Washington, she's $8 million richer. Ashley Hinson got rich. Iowa got left behind. Win Senate is responsible for the content of this ad. How about this one? Over here, also going after Hinson for her horrific conduct. Let's play it. I spent 35 and a half years working to keep our children safe. So what Ashley Hinson did makes me sick. Ashley Hinson took $90,000 from billionaires in the Epstein files, then fought to block the release of the Epstein files. 14 year old girls were sex trafficked and raped, but Ashley Hinson protected the predators. Josh Turek will fight to stop corruption in both parties and stop sex trafficking. editorial campaign committee and Sherrod Brown up on this up on TV with this spot hitting John Houston, who Donald Trump says has an amazing ass. Houston's ass is what Donald Trump likes to talk about here. Play this clip. We really can't escape John Houston these days. Everywhere we go, John Houston's making our lives more expensive. John Houston brought data centers to Ohio and delivered sky high electric bills. John Houston voted 14 times for the war, driving up these gas prices. At the grocery, he's added taxes to everything we buy. Now's only one thing for us to do. We got to throw John Houston out. I'm sure Brown and I approve this message.
