Recapping ‘Survivor 50’ Episode 11! | The Pod Has Spoken
1h 40m 32s
The podcast begins with a satirical critique of the "Lemmonati," a fictional organization that has long promoted lemon over lime in culture, from soda to music, and now 7-Up is responding with a new lime-lemon drink to flip the narrative. This theme is mirrored in the Survivor season discussion, where strategic decisions—especially around idol plays and alliance management—are dissected with deep analysis. A key moment involves a traveler’s visit to the DMZ in North Korea, illustrating the region’s militarized border and the reality of its tense geopolitical environment. The episode then dives into Survivor gameplay, analyzing critical moments such as Suri’s risky decision to flush idols, which risks destabilizing her alliance. Ozzy’s exit is portrayed as emotionally tragic, marked by regret, a dream about voting, and a sense of betrayal after a clear plan to win unraveled. Emily’s performance is lauded as bold and determined, with her chaotic style and lack of filter making her a compelling and real character. The Power Broker Advantage is introduced as a powerful yet potentially unstable mechanic, giving Jonathan the ability to shift between tribes, raising concerns about long-term game dynamics and trust. Ultimately, the episode blends satire, real-world travel, and in-depth Survivor strategy, emphasizing how personal emotions, strategic choices, and narrative turns shape outcomes in both real-life and fictional high-stakes games.
For decades, a shadowy organization called the Lemmonati has kept lemon on top and lime in the shadows.
Look around, lemon-forward sodas, even lemon-forward songs.
We ran the tracks, slowed them down, reversed them, and squeezed out the truth.
That's lemon propaganda right there.
But now, 7-Up is fighting back with their new lime lemon soda.

Welcome back to The Pod Has Spoken.
A very exciting time for us.
We're all here with Ashley, our producer and co-host.
Riley.
Just a co-host.
Me, also just a co-host.
I don't want to minimize what we do, Riley, but Ashley does more.
It's true. It's true.
We have a very exciting guest today.
Not only an exciting guest, but we sent him to somewhere that supposedly at one time had the fastest internet in the world.
I don't know if they still do.
Caleb from season 45, all the way from South Korea.
You were in North Korea earlier today.
That's right.
I hit the demilitarized zone, visited the tunnel that North Korea almost reinvaded South Korea with,
and feeling like it's—this wasn't on my bingo card.
I would never feel like—this is kind of a last-minute vacation.
I was like, Tyson, I'm still good.
We'll figure out the time later, you know?
Yeah.
It is 2 in the morning, so thank you so much for being here.
I've survived every bad decision.
I've ever made so far, so I feel like—I was ready.
Nothing we couldn't handle, you know?
Yeah.
Oh, for sure.
Are all the other zones militarized over there?
Is there just one demilitarized zone?
Like, everywhere else you go, it's just full military?
Like, I don't understand.
Because you sent me the picture of you across the line in North Korea.
But, like, what's the rest?
Like, if there's just that, then everything else is full military?
What are we talking?
So, the way—
Yeah.
Yeah.
The way it works is that the border between North and South Korea,
if they just had a regular border,
people would be hopping over or starting fights or doing all these things.
So, they have, like, a five-kilometer radius from the middle of the line
where both sides can't enter, at least the militaries.
And so, they'll have some native people who live there.
But aside from that, yeah, that's how the DMZ works.
Okay.
That's what the kids call it.
Okay.
So, that whole five kilometers on both sides is the DMZ?
Correct.
Yeah.
So, you can go anywhere along those five kilometers and be like, I'm in the DMZ.
Yeah.
Well, yeah.
There's some parts where they let you dig, go a little further.
That's like the tunnels.
And, yeah, a fun experience, you know?
Just spontaneous little—
I've done a lot of traveling, but being a remote worker since 2017,
it's mostly been South and Central America, a lot of Europe,
like places you could do calls from and it's not 2 a.m.
Yeah.
So, but now I'm trying to fit in more vacations.
And so, I'm trying to hit more of Asia.
And this was—
I kind of did it for the bit, but now I'm glad I'm here, you know?
Yeah.
I've heard it's beautiful over there.
We've already lost half of our listeners because they were here for Survivor
instead of geography and how demilitarized zones work.
I'm not an expert.
I learned it today.
And I will say, when I saw the episode and it was the double boot,
I was very quietly hoping that there would be a co-host of the pod today.
I was hoping for maybe Billy Garcia or maybe even a cowboy.
Or something like that.
And so, I'm happy to be here and, you know, the main attraction,
but it would have been fun to see some other faces too.
To have Billy on here, I've never even thought of that.
But that is my favorite Survivor moment of all time
when he tells Candice that he loves her all time.
That was peak Survivor right there.
But we had a pretty decent episode today, I think.
Let's start with Aubrey's early gameplay here.
She's with Rick now.
And encouraging him to continue.
And to continue his bravado and chaos.
Which he is more than happy to do.
Because if Rick were watching Survivor,
the person he would want most to play like is himself.
Caleb.
Yeah.
I mean, it's kind of like telling a car to keep going on the highway.
Like, what advice that was, hey?
Rick was, yeah, he was like, well, now that you say that,
I guess I will keep going, right?
Yeah.
Thank you.
Thank you for the reminder.
Now I will continue to step on the gas.
I do love that moment.
I also love that Rick is just like,
I'd want to be myself if I were sitting on the couch
watching Survivor and wasn't who I am.
Caleb, do you feel that way about Rick?
Or do you feel that way about yourself?
Or do you feel that way about a different Survivor player?
When you do something splashy like that,
you have a big moment, you know, man, my number,
who knows when it's going to call it,
but it's probably going to get called at some point here, right?
Yeah.
But at the same time, man, dude, those moves just hit, right?
Like when you, Mr. Beast coin, drawing rocks, shot in the dark,
whatever you want to call it, playing an idol.
It's, you know, it's like, man, we just, that's going to be on TV.
You know, that's going to be, that's going to be out there.
That's going to be awesome.
And so I can't help.
My adversaries are upset that it worked out for me.
That's the other part.
Some more than others.
Yeah.
Everybody's celebrating the 2 million.
Except for Joe.
Joe.
And Jonathan.
And Jonathan.
Jonathan's pouting about it, but he's not too bad.
But Joe is fucking disgusted.
And he thinks that it was inappropriate behavior by Rick.
Poor taste.
Do you agree?
I, someone sent me, so I'm not, I've not been on the internet for a while.
I, I'm like, uh, uh, uh, like the dad.
It's like when, when your dad gets it on Twitter or Facebook, it's like,
that was, that was six months old.
Right.
But someone sent me the reaction shot of Joe when the coin hit and everyone's
celebrating and he's just like, like down and out.
Like you couldn't believe it.
$2 million.
Couldn't be more upset.
Like the price is not worth admission, you know?
Uh, and, uh, yeah, so I'm actually, it is actually kind of cool to see
somebody who is that mad about getting potentially $2 million if he wins the
game.
Like I, I never thought, I never thought I would see it.
Uh, I remember winners at war.
Everyone just screaming on the beach being like, Oh, that's my $2 million.
And I don't know that picture.
I'm the only one with my arms folded.
Like, of course it's 2 million.
Why would it be like, I already was like, if it's not something bigger than a
million, then so it wasn't, I wasn't not excited about it.
I just assumed that something would happen, but that is a famous picture of
everybody going like this and me just like, Hmm.
Yep.
So go on with Joe.
Uh, very upset about the 2 million.
And I feel like Rick is even more overjoyed that Joe is so sour about like
that, that would fuel my fire to watching someone so sour over my little
victory.
I would be like, I'm going to have to rub this in a lot, all the time, pretty
much all day long.
I will go around dancing and celebrating and he did.
Yeah.
Yeah.
I've never seen a montage like that.
Is there anything even close?
It was so performative for the cameraman and the operators.
I don't know that we've seen that obviously everyone's there to perform.
I'm I'm, but he is by himself and I was, it was an interesting montage.
He did like four different locations too.
He like, he's like, all right, now me at the beach celebrating now me at the
water well celebrating now I'll walk through the forest and I'll celebrate.
It was like, all right, bud.
Yeah.
It's like, you know, survivor, they'll never tell you what to do.
Um, so, you know, he just was like, he had this like backlog of all these
different celebration dances he had for all of his idol plays that he didn't get
to do.
So he just used them all.
He just emptied the clip right after this one.
I wonder if he was thinking, oh, they'll pick the best one to show on there as
if it was an impromptu thing.
And then they showed all of them.
Yeah, it was, it was, he, he was probably like, okay, I want this
celebratory dance to make air.
If I do it one time, they might not show it.
It may not be good enough.
They might not make it in the edit.
So I'm going to do it like four or five times.
Like I know when I have a good joke that I want to make air all fire.
Do you say in different confessionals, in different scenarios, just to
make sure that it gets used.
And I think that this dance scenario is him being like, I want the world to see me dance.
Especially Joe.
I want Joe to rewatch this and see me dancing and be disgusted.
at how, at how inappropriate, uh, all of it is, um, uh, you, yeah, you'll, you'll reuse a joke.
And, uh, Aubrey, she likes to reuse her motivational, you know, pump up speeches
when she's making her, her pitch. Right. Uh, it's always funny. You're like waiting for someone to
trade notes a little bit on that. Um, but we don't have to jump too far ahead. I just, uh,
what a montage. And, uh, and it's also like the cloud, like the, was that a wordless
kind of a montage or was he talking over top of it? I don't think so. I think he was just like,
he was talking a little bit. Is that the moment? I mean, he was going back and forth. So he was
celebrating. And then there was a little bit of him being like, if I were watching survivor,
you know who I'd want to be me. You're like, okay, that's, I'm also my favorite
survivor player of all time. Um, I think, uh, when you employ semi-narcissists,
um,
to be on TV, most of the time they will be their favorite, uh, person on that, that program.
Yeah. Semi. So you're calling yourself a narcissist right now?
A semi-narcissist. Semi-narcissist?
A person with narcissistic tendencies. I have no doubt that Jeff Probst is his favorite survivor,
uh, personality of all time. Challenger?
Yeah. Challenger. Favorite survivor challenger of all time.
I heard, uh, I heard a rumor. This may or may not be true, but, uh, in, uh, one of the bazillion,
you know, tests that you're taking about your psychology and your behavior before the show
that, uh, you have people who you could get three grades on one of them. It's like, uh,
this person will definitely not harm anybody. Uh, this person may harm somebody or this person
is potentially really harmful and they love to cast the people right here in the middle.
Narcissist is something else and something else maybe, you know,
they're finding like the line. Yeah. I think they're finding the line where
it's like, uh, wherever the line Brandon Hance is on and then just one shade lower, right?
Yeah. Just a little. Yeah. And they've gotten it wrong once or twice, but whatever that is,
I don't know if that's, I don't think that's the case anymore. I think that was the case for that
era. I don't think that's the case anymore. I think they're a little safer now.
Tiffany and Sari talk about targeting the idols. Otherwise they're going to get jammed up.
Which is true. So he has this flashback of the advantage you get in. Are they too early to too
late? Perfect timing. Caleb, what are you thinking? Uh, it's interesting because, um, and this is
going to come, I think to the question at the end of the episode, which is, did Rizzo make the right
move of cutting Rizzo versus, you know, keeping, uh, letting him play the idol and keeping the
ally. And it sounded like Tiffany was ready to let Ozzy go. And Sari wanted to let the idol go,
but she didn't let Ozzy go. And Sari wanted to let the idol go. But keep the vote or keep the ally. Right. Yes. And it feels like it is a very dangerous time in
the game when you do have what looks like a very solid four to lose one of those four going into
seven. Right. Um, at least with the way that the vote played out. So I love three. I have many
ideas. I wonder, do you have any guesses of what, uh, did you have any, I mean, I see never really
played with Sari. You probably just hung out with her at heroes, villains, Ponderosa, but what the
code word might've been. Do you have any code words when you're on the island to play an idol?
Yeah. But we'll find out tomorrow when we talk to Ozzy, I was wondering that could she have
said to Jonathan, the code word, and just be like, Hey, if you say this to Ozzy,
he'll trust you a little bit more. It's our code word for sending an ally to meet up with an ally.
So if I tell you this quote code word and you say it to Jonathan and give him a wink,
he'll know that. Do you trust though that Ozzy wouldn't hearing that code word be like, Oh,
that's not our code word for that. That's our code word to use the idol. Like he would just
blurt that out. I think he may say, okay, I'll play. I think he may say, okay, I'll play the
idol, but I don't think, but then it shifts everything. Anyways, Ozzy would be like, uh,
Jonathan, that's not a code word for an ally. That's a code word. Oh, you're telling me to
play the idol. We're playing the idol, but Jonathan wants to get them out. Yeah. But
Jonathan wouldn't know that until too late. And then once that happens, Jonathan could think he's
recognizing Suri's code word. Obviously this didn't happen, but Suri did wrestle with how do I
get this code word to Ozzy? We're writing fan fiction a little bit here. Yeah, we are. We're
too. We're like so far down the road. Tell him that I can't wait to eat lasagna with you after
the game. That was me and Brandon Donlan's code word. Lasagna. We didn't have much time to use it.
You guys Garfield fans then, I guess. Does that surprise you, Brandon? Off the cuff.
The first day was definitely a Monday over there for us on 45. For sure. Mondays, am I right?
Let's talk about Suri wanting to flush the idols, but keep her allies. I feel like
this is an Icarus type moment where like you can fly too close to the sun and putting your neck
out there in that capacity. Masterful. If you can get that to work. Oh my gosh. Like,
yeah. Give you the game. Here's your $2 million. We'll find another $2 million to give if you don't
win. Like somebody else. We just need to see. Are you still around? Yeah. See ya. Where's
your $2 million? I feel like though that in that moment, that is like too far of a reach. It's
either do I cut Ozzy and Rizzo potentially and get rid of the idols or do I keep them around
trusting that one of them will take me to the end? Like, I don't know. I don't know. I don't
think that's the decision. I don't think try to flush the idols. The idols leave your entire
alliance more vulnerable and less threatening and easier to go against. I don't know. I just feel
like in theory, when you're thinking about it as Suri, great. Yeah. Let's flush the idols. Then I
know they're not there. Then they can't, I can't get jammed up from them. But I also think that
it's the beginning of the end of the alliance. If that's what she's doing. Yeah. It's,
uh, you know, I know it's not a real principle, like whether you're at the casino, you just keep
winning and you're like, well, I'm going to bet more. Uh, or like in basketball, it's like the
hot hand fallacy, whatever you want to call it. But Suri is hot. So the way that she's been playing
so far, like, why wouldn't I think that I could do this if I'm Suri, right? Yes. So right. Yeah.
Yeah. She, I think, uh, yeah, at this point, yeah, she, uh, she is like a perfect measure of her own
power. She's like, I can thread this needle. Yeah.
I also think though that like, yeah, she thinks that, but if Ozzy didn't have to play his idol
and played it because Suri told him to play it, he'd have to get enough votes that Suri could be
like, I thought it could have been you. Like if he gets no votes and she's like, well, they got me
too. I don't know what to tell you. Like that. I'm, I have some mistrust now for Suri. So I just feel
like that is such a risky maneuver. I would have liked to see it play out in her attempt to do it,
but, uh, it,
it, it didn't work out. Uh, so, um,
That's easy, man. You just, you tell him to play the idol and then you also vote for him. You're
like, see, I knew you had like at least one vote coming your way. I don't know who it was.
I mean, isn't like six people trying to vote out Ozzy all the time. Like you could find a couple
of votes if you need to. Someone will vote for Ozzy.
She could have had it flushed multiple times. She could have done this. She could have put this plan
into motion last week or the week before the week before. You're right. You're right.
Um, she also could have just had everyone vote for Ozzy and then had him play the idol as well.
Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. That's smart too. The immunity challenge. Have I missed anything Riley up to the
immunity challenge? Anything else you want to talk about Ashley?
Ozzy's nightmare. He mentioned it right before.
Ozzy's nightmare.
Yeah. I wanted to ask about this. Have you guys have ever had a nightmare like this on a survivor?
I still have them.
You still have them.
Fuck. I got voted out. Oh, nope. I'm here.
Really?
Uh, which, which, which, which can I ask?
Which, uh, which gives you more nightmares. Um, uh, uh, you going out into the Sierra or
heroes villains when you went out on the Russell.
Both were brutal. Both were brutal. Uh, I, I, yeah, I know. And that's what I always pitch
when people are like, you want to come back? I was like, for the right price, because I am
pivotal in every survivor season I play for good or for bad. I am.
They can't write the story without it.
The hinge that the direction of the game immediately shift.
I don't know.
I honestly, I haven't had like a really detailed nightmare
of something like that, but I do have nightmares where I'm like,
oh, I thought I was back in the game and stuff wasn't going my way.
But what stings more?
I mean, so much time has passed and I've won the game now.
I think it's annoying when people bring up the heroes versus villains
when they're like, you screwed Rob's game.
And I was like, he didn't have the numbers to hold it together after I left.
I had seven people out of 10 together.
And then once I left, he couldn't wrangle the majority
that I had put together.
So that's not fully on me.
Yeah, think about how many more individual immunities Rob would have won
if you had let him get to.
My fault, my fault.
Yeah, what would the record be?
What could it have been?
Yeah, and so that one, but like, again, it's so much time.
Like, that's the thing.
None of them, in the moment, probably the Sierra ones don't work.
The Heroes vs. Villains one, I was like,
ah, I'm an idiot.
But I also wasn't like having that much fun
out there that season
because everybody was like so business focused
and I had just come off my first season
where it was fun.
It was fun like running around
and goofing around and stuff.
And so the second time I came out
and everybody's like so serious
and just like, let's make our group right now.
And we didn't vote anybody out on the Villains tribe
for like a week and a half.
So I was like, I don't think this is even fun this time.
They're like, it will be as soon as you start
voting people out.
We voted Randy out.
I was like, that's not that much more fun.
And I mean, we got rid of the grumpy old guy.
That's great.
That does bring the energy up a little bit, but still.
So I think probably the token jeans won.
And it is weird because Ozzy brought up this dream
and this nightmare.
And in that moment, you're like, Ozzy, I feel like
if you have a nightmare as Ozzy out there,
he would be a guy that would be like,
I should follow what the universe is telling me.
Did he talk about that nightmare this episode
or was that something he'd talked about weeks ago?
And they just put it in here on his exit.
Well, he mentioned Coach and Stephanie.
So I'm assuming it must have been like
right after they had both been gone.
So I think maybe, yeah.
Could be a few days.
Within the handful of days, actually.
Someone will do like the facial hair analysis
and figure out when that can happen.
Yeah.
Yeah.
Yeah.
Yeah.
Yeah.
I feel like it probably happened
because then he mentioned it again
when he was voted out.
And he was, yeah, he was like, I knew I had a dream.
Yeah.
Last night I had a dream.
I think it was legit.
Yeah.
I feel like that's one of the perks
of tonight's episode for Ozzy.
If we have to pull those threads
and find them as we get them, right?
Is, you know, he kind of had his first moment
to talk about a potential business that he has
because he's a fortune teller, right?
Like, and he promoted this on YouTube.
I mean, this is a whole other,
this is very new era, actually.
So welcome to our game, right?
Is that now you get a whole side business after the show.
Yeah.
You know, an online business.
So I think that there's a lot of opportunity
out of what came out of that.
Do you think players in the future should be more,
have their ducks in a row for what business
they want to create after Survivor
and then get out there and kind of lay the foundation?
Change the game.
Change the game.
You got to win the post game.
It's the real game to win.
We have a couple interesting things happen.
First of all, the Power Broker Advantage is teased,
but we don't know what it is yet.
We didn't even know it was called
the Power Broker Advantage until Tribal Council.
And then we also have,
do you like the Power Broker Advantage?
I liked that it was named a tribe.
I kind of didn't realize that.
That's right.
Yeah.
Like we should name this before they get here, right?
Yeah.
How did it play out?
Like a broker?
Okay.
So we have that,
but then we also have this moment
where Tiffany is announced as the winner
and then she gets recalled.
Have we ever had that on Survivor
that we've seen on camera?
I feel like I can think that there was at least one time
where they overturned something, I think.
And it might've actually been recently,
but I'm blanking on it.
What I will say,
that I found really funny,
it was like Jeff was like an NFL ref, right?
Yeah.
It's like he got a call from New York.
He's like, I gotta go.
I have to see the booth.
I gotta see the screen and the monitor
before I can make the call.
Yes.
That I don't think we've ever seen.
No, but I do.
How long do you think it took for him to rewatch everything?
Because he was gone for a bit.
They're like, where is he?
Yeah.
I think he went and watched it
on a little camera screen somewhere.
Maybe they had a bigger,
maybe he wanted to go to,
so then that would have taken longer
to go to a bigger screen than the small camera screen.
But then I think they talked about it.
They probably had a conversation
with the fairness committee or whoever's there.
And it was like, what do we do?
Do we run the challenge over?
Do we award it to the next person?
How do we do this?
How can we make it TV absorbable in the story?
And so I do know that there's cameras on everybody.
Like individually.
And most of the time there's at least someone assigned
to watching you specifically in those challenges.
So there's like, you know,
somebody assigned to watching just you and your performance.
So, I mean, they did the right thing.
I think like when you watch it on replay,
she definitely puts her leg up way after everybody else.
It wasn't close.
Yeah.
It wasn't even close.
Half the people were following.
Yeah.
She didn't even look like funnel.
She looked like she was so strong.
I have to raise it by the time somebody, you know,
when everyone's in the water is when I'm supposed to pick it up.
It was actually incredible.
I was just sitting back like, man,
Tiffany is absolutely gunning it in these challenges.
Hey, like, don't count her out.
Yeah.
But yeah, crazy.
That's what I thought too.
Cause she looks so stable.
Everybody else was like, whoa.
And she was like, so stable.
She's like, I won again.
And then you realize she's got both feet down.
I did love the, also like the emotional hug.
Like they really were like, enjoy the moment.
Take a second.
Right.
Yeah.
Uh, before let's let her have a little bit of moment.
Yeah.
Yeah.
Uh, do you think, uh, if she was upset, like she could have pushed back at all,
but like, why don't we just replay it from right there or something else?
Or do you feel like it was like a, we made a, did the committee made a decision?
So I've been in instances where they've had to come in because the
challenge wasn't functioning properly, um, on ladder balls.
I was throwing these, the ladder balls, the two balls tethered by a rope
and then landing on a ladder and the distance was pretty far.
And as the, as the ladder balls would hit the ladder, they would shoot off.
They would like pop off the chain.
And then, so they stopped after that happened a couple of times and they
rebuilt the balls tighter, like glued them on or use tape or something.
And then they also, Tina was so short that when she'd swing the ladder, she
would get off the ladder and stop.
And when she'd swing the ladder ball, it would drag on the ground.
And then she'd, it was only able to throw it like two feet, but
the distance was like 30 feet.
So they moved the ladders like half the distance.
And I actually raised my hand and was like, um, I actually think we should
keep them the same distance as when we started and what we were shown,
uh, when we did the walkthrough.
And, uh, I think Jeff said, uh, shut the fuck up Tyson.
And that was the end of that conversation.
It's a nice moment, right?
Jerky Jeff, right?
So I think if that had happened, more people's survivor bucket lists, right?
Yeah.
It's Jeff.
Tell you to shut the fuck up.
Yeah.
Yeah.
How often does that happen anymore?
Harder to do now.
I mean, I don't know if it's harder to do cause they don't show it on camera
then.
Uh, but I do believe that had she pushed back, any Jeff would be,
like, we're the authorities here and this is what we decided.
Like essentially when Jeff told me to shut the fuck up, that's essentially
the vibe I got was this isn't like your expertise or your like, this is above
your pay grade right here, Tyson.
You don't get to determine that we do.
And so I think that that, that would have been, I think communicated
with Tiffany had that happened.
Uh, so, and it easily could have like, let's watch the footage.
Okay.
I think they would have.
Showed her the footage if she was like, I don't trust you.
Or if she was like, can we just see it or something?
I think they would have proven it to her.
Um, and if she, yeah.
It's like when you get caught as a kid and you're like, I know I did it.
She knew.
Like I, I knew it was a crime, right?
Yeah.
She knew.
She knew when half the people were in the water, when she lifted,
finally lifted her foot, she knew.
I also thought it was interesting that everyone lasted all the way to the top,
except for Sri was immediately out is that I was watching this and I was like,
maybe this is Sri's moment.
I want her to win a challenge so bad.
And this is maybe the moment where she can like, you know, battle
to win or something like that.
Yeah.
On the water where she's faced most so many, uh, trials already in survivor.
And the water's calm.
You're you see how calm it is.
You're like, and she's on the outskirts.
So you're like, okay, she's not gonna get boggled by someone else making
a splash or making a ripple in the water.
She just has to stand there.
Uh, Nope.
Even.
Even standing was hard and, uh, that's, uh, you know, I've done this challenge
too, and I've been out very early.
Uh, but the ocean was pretty wavy and, uh, I think it's for the surfers.
This is a surfer.
Well, that's what I thought.
I had my money on Ozzy coming into this thing, but he wasn't
even like the top two or three.
Jonathan's a surfer too.
Oh, there you go.
Well, no, no, but she has like, uh, bow knees, I think.
So it's like the perfect, yeah, exactly.
It's like, uh.
Uh, Michael Phelps for surfing.
She doesn't do it, but she's got a perfect physique for surfing.
She should get into surfing now.
Um, and maybe that's what her whole play was the whole time.
You know, the, the post game, big surfing, uh, uh, sponsorship.
What do you think of this power broker advantage?
Two groups of, of four.
Is that what we're at?
Two groups of four with Jonathan being the fifth on both, both of them.
Yeah.
- I'm just playing this position
good or bad for Jonathan? I think it's great. I don't even consider the idea of it being like a
bad spot for Jonathan to be in to be the power broker. I almost thought that him being able to
go back and forth and back and forth was maybe a little bit overpowered. Like in a dream state,
could he say, hey, you go to one beach and you get one switch. Pick your time. But when you switch,
you can't switch back and have it be a little bit more pressure around buttoning up everything and
then maybe seeing how the other side plays and not being able to kind of, because that's one of
the, you know, we'll get to, of course, what happens at the beach. But one of my thoughts is
with Aubrey, I mean, with Ozzy spilling his guts and then Aubrey telling people about the extra
vote. Was that the reason that Seri played it versus like she heard about it from Jonathan
versus, you know, and wanting to burn it and not be targeted for that versus what actually
happened or, you know, her using her intuition, which easily could have happened. Right. Right.
But was that the reason? I'm not sure what was the catalyst of it, you know?
I think, I mean, and again, speculative, you're in a group of five. So much can go wrong.
If you don't have a solid, solid three, that's just like locked. If you have an extra vote,
it's now's the time to play it. This is the time because the votes are coming down to a one
person difference. So a one vote difference. So this is the time to play it. I think if you have
an extra vote and you're not, you're not going to be able to play it. You're not going to be able to
play it. You're not playing it here. You're absolutely bonkers or you have such a solid
three locked in that you are not concerned. Like if Ozzy, Seri and Rizzo had found themselves
together in the same group, maybe she doesn't play her extra vote there. But I think every
other scenario she plays it. Well, I think like also the idol forced it too, because it is like
you have a, like, I think Seri put together, like, I can't trust a hundred percent where this idol
going, you know, Emily says it'll be on her, but who knows if they're playing games, but if I just
play the extra vote, then we can just two, two split it. And it's a moot point. We can flush the
idol and get one of them out. I didn't know this, but it looks like Seri got to vote twice on the
revote too. Yeah. It goes through to the revote. Yes. It always has. Yep. Always has. Yeah. I
counted six and was like, Oh, I didn't realize the, I guess I make sense, but it's one of those
things that I never really thought about until I counted the votes up here. Yeah. I was going to
confuse too about the idea. Like I thought that if everyone, everyone who has a vote doesn't get
to vote again, like who got like of the split people, but I guess if it's three, maybe it's
not two people. Yes. If it's three, then everybody does vote again. If it's two, if it's two, then
they don't vote. So then that changes it with like, then she may have had to hand off her extra
vote to somebody else or something, but, um, you know, to make sure that it goes through,
but because it's three, yeah, she just gets two votes. Shout out to the wolf of quiet pines.
This has been like a, this has been like a big question before when you do the extra vote,
or if you get your vote stolen or whatever, you know, you don't get a revote on, on a stolen vote,
like all that stuff. Right. Um, yeah, I thought that was, I, I did think that was interesting. I,
I did after watching it and thinking about Sri, I thought she has to play it here, especially with
that idol being played. Um, it just makes so much sense. I do like what you said, Caleb, though,
that, uh, the power broker had too much power because they got, he, Jonathan got to bounce
back and forth as much as he wanted, where maybe, okay, your power broker, you get to choose which
tribe you visit first. And then when you're done with that tribe, you can move on to the next
tribe. You've got a three hour day. You can spend as much time with the first group as you want
before going to the second group, but you have to make some decisions on how you execute. And the
fact that you went back and forth. I also, Caleb, when you're given this much power in the game,
like you're just kind of like lording over everyone in this moment, it can be bad long-term,
long-term, not to be a future target, but to be at the final jury, people are like,
you wielded your power to enforcingly or something like that. Like there is a very big balance of
like being too powerful. Or it's like you were just, you were involved, you know, like Jonathan's
the only person here who has blood on his hands from both the final nine vote and the final eight
vote. Everybody else got a freebie. They get either Ozzy or Emily on the jury where it's like,
Hey man, I didn't vote you out. It wasn't me. Don't blame me. Yeah. Yeah. It is a ton of power,
but it does come with this like disadvantage that it, that you could have somebody being like,
you ended my game. How am I going to give you a million?
And when I'm watching it on TV, I'm watching it with that in my mind and I'm looking at people's
reaction. It doesn't seem like anybody was reacting too negatively. Like, Oh, this power
has gone to Jonathan's head or anything like that. So it seems that if they had it, right?
Yeah, I think so. So it seems like he balanced it well enough and he did like play into both sides.
Like, what do you want to do? Okay. I got to relay that to the other side. What are we doing? Okay.
So I do think that, uh, Sri wasn't on board with his plan, but she said she was on board with his
plan, which is enough reason for him to go the direction that he went. It's almost like the
perfect spot too. Cause he can almost, almost blame it. Like that's what they want to do.
Yeah. What do you want? Right. And you can always kind of push off the blame if not everyone was
there. Right. Even to the point where Aubrey was like, uh, what do you want to do? He's like,
I'm safe. You're the one at risk. You tell me and I'll see. I like this. You have to say the name.
Yeah. Yeah.
That was the, yeah. What a twist. What, what another, another, another twist here on a survivor
50, even in and out the game, you know, would Ozzie have been safe? Had he not told Aubrey
everything? There's nothing more patronizing as a survivor contestant, having another survivor
contestant tell you in the game that they deserve the win and want to win the game.
And you're like, yeah, we all, all the people here still want to win this thing. Like,
you're coming to me telling me how bad you want it. I also want it that bad.
Yeah. That was incredible. That was actually riveting. The only time my jaw dropped further
was when the actual vote off happened and he didn't play the idol. I was shocked. How often,
like, how often do you see that anymore? That see, we talk about, uh, Ozzie being new school.
He's also a little old school in there. Right. Like to not play the idol with a group of, of four,
ish, four, it's only four, it's five votes, four people. It's crazy to not play the idol
in that moment. You just play it. Like you're not going to get an opportunity where it's
that narrow, where unless you're saving it for final five, but at that point you also
are only going against five people in immunity challenges. There's other things. Like I think
you have to like play it here. Uh, not always like people will be on here and be like, nah,
yeah, he did feel comfortable for some reason. But, um, was that his downfall,
that conversation with Aubrey or was he going to go anyway?
I think he has, I think he has Joe and Rizzo. I think that it's a, like even,
I think Jonathan will gun for him anyways, but if he has Joe and Rizzo,
then it's three, two, and it doesn't matter. I think that that, that conversation killed him.
Yeah. I think it killed him, but, uh, I think it killed him most because
it gave Rizzo ammunition to turn on him where I think Rizzo easily could have told him, Hey,
you know, you use your idol tonight, but him talking so much, it just gave him the ammunition
to go back to the street and be like, dude, you know, messy. This guy was like, we can't trust
him. We can't rely on him. Like we have to, we had no choice, but to take him out here.
And so I think, uh, it hurt him. Yeah. On that end, because I put the distrust in Rizzo to rely
on him as a, an Alliance member. I agree. I think that the way that
it played out with Ozzie saying all of that stuff to Aubrey, every person that voted Ozzie out,
can go back to Suri and be like, he told us you had an extra vote. Like, you know, we did you a
favor, Suri. We did you a favor by getting rid of Ozzie because he told us you had an extra vote
like there. You can weaponize that information to, uh, win Suri over a little bit, or to at least
make her seem like a little more comfortable. Like he gave up so much information. Yeah, exactly.
Yeah. And I'm, I'm thank God you played your extra vote because he told everyone about it. So if you
hadn't played it then, like now it's a, it's blown up. So I think that everybody, everybody on the
Ozzie group can now go back to Suri and claim that they protected her to a certain degree.
Yeah. Um, if we're talking about, you know, power broker hour and all these things, um, you know,
I'm wearing black today under the circumstances, the best I could do RIP to my girl. Right. Um, but,
I guess the question I have is, and I mean, what a plan that she tried to pull off and without the
extra vote, who knows if it maybe actually would have happened. Oh my God. Right. It would have
worked right. Without the extra vote, it would have worked. Yeah. It would, it would have been
like 50, 50, I think. Cause they would have, it depends on where they play the idol. Right.
Well, it was two votes, Rick, two votes, Emily, and two votes, Suri. Correct. Right. You're right.
Those votes would have been gone.
We don't know.
If Seri doesn't have the extra vote, we don't know if. they would have done all three votes
on one or the other and we just don't know.
It's like, do you make the right read?
Right.
That's an incredible move.
What was interesting though
is I was wondering,
is there a world that they could have
pitched Jonathan to take out Seri here?
I have a gut feeling about it, but what do you guys think?
I feel like
Jonathan is too
afraid to take out Seri
in this moment. Seri's been getting all
the information. She's juggling everybody
well. Every time anybody
has brought up Seri's name,
it's immediately gotten back to her.
I feel like
when you go against Seri,
you have to be so measured.
Plus,
who's with Seri that you're also with?
Do you have to
approach them on it? Do you have to sell them?
Do we need Joe in on
it to agree? Do we need
Ozzy to give us a thumbs up? Do we need
Rizzo? Who does Jonathan think
is working with Seri and how many
people does he need?
The whole reason
that Joe wanted Rizzo
in on the plan to target Ozzy was that
Rizzo
will be untrusting
if we don't loop him in.
Now, we've lost him.
That, I think, is always the measure
when you're going against somebody.
I feel like it would have been a hard sell to get
Jonathan to vote Seri out.
That's my feeling as well. Emily's first
thing, she's like, me and Jonathan,
you know, we don't vibe.
Right? He doesn't like me.
Jonathan was like,
I can't work with Devon's. We've
agreed to that. And Devon's like, we can work
together. Why can't we not work?
And Jonathan's like, nope, we can't.
So I think that
even if. I think based on the personal relationships
of the people who are involved. With Emily and
Devon's versus Jonathan,
Jonathan is not getting sold by
Emily or Devon's on any plan.
Although I did kind of hope
when they were going for the revote
on the second time
that
there maybe was a pitch at the last second.
Like, listen, Jonathan, you're safe.
Rick's safe. One of us can
go home. We're going to rocks.
This can't affect you. Don't you want
to take out. Isn't this your big moment?
And do it in front of the jury and maybe see if
anything swings? It can't be that
hard on somebody, though, because we've all
been. You're just in shock when these
things happen and it's just a
blur. And it's hard to kind of think of
these things in the moment. But I had my fingers
crossed and then I saw how much time was left in the episode. I was like,
damn. All right. Maybe not. Not enough time?
That would have been fun, right?
Yeah. It would have been.
I was also like, wow, this is
a crazy twist.
But I do. Yeah.
You are in shock. A couple things. Jonathan's
safe. So he's like,
okay, I got to do what
the bulk of my allies or my
closest allies assume I'm going to do.
Because I can't also
give a Hayden Moss.
Type of speech at Tribal
Council, you know?
That's what we needed
Devin's or Emily to give.
In a dream world.
Yeah. Was that something
that in order for Emily to be
safe in that moment, we needed
one of them to give a speech so
powerful that Jonathan
understood that Ceri was
not with him. And went to rocks.
Or Tiffany. That's right. One of the two.
But. Well, that's one of the things I thought that Aubrey did so
well. When you're at the bottom bottom,
like on the outs, and you're trying to plead your
case, the thing that works. And, you know, my guess of what
the thing that works the best is, you know,
finding a bigger, like, fear.
Like, a bigger
worry. A bigger thing that's coming after
you. That's the only thing that might change someone's
mind about, should I focus on a bigger priority?
And the biggest thing
that she could pitch was Ozzy and this idol and this
marriage with Ceri and everything else.
And, you know, could you have inflated
Ceri enough with all these things?
To be able to make it hurt? I don't
know. It's Ceri. Probably not. But
it's just. We're here.
We wrote some fanfiction earlier. Why
not talk a little bit more about something else, right? Different
chapter, so to speak? Yeah. Well, in
a bizarro world or a different dimension,
you know, it all plays out differently.
Yeah. But I could
have been more proud and, like, more excited
and just like, wow, way to fucking play
right to the end. Like, she really did give it.
What a plan. And even, like, how
she managed the conversation with Rick at the end
at the beach, telling
them about what has transpired and how, like,
all of it was done so well.
So, it was an unbelievable Hail Mary.
Sometimes you just don't have the cards, so to speak,
to pull everything off
that you want on Survivor, right?
And sometimes you think you don't have the cards and you try
and it ends up working out and it looks
amazing, which is the whole reason
Hail Marys exist.
Listen, you're talking to one.
Yeah. What do you think about
Emily this season? Did she seem like
the same player
that you experienced on season 45?
Because she seemed to give up
a lot of information
for non-strategic
reasons, just because she
feels like somebody maybe isn't with her in the moment.
Was that always
something she did, or is she over
correcting from last time, or
just trying to play differently?
Speak to that a little bit.
Yeah, I mean, it's so
funny because, you know,
she, I know she hates the
term growth arc, so to speak.
She's like, I'm the same person, I don't know what this. Yeah, she's like, I don't know what arc people
keep talking about, but
it, like, her game
from the beginning to the end, I'm sure
there's many people on many seasons of Survivor, you could be like,
man, that person who got voted out on
day three, you would not believe.
Like, they only showed 10% of it.
You know, I mean,
she came out guns blazing in 45.
Like, maybe this gives some idea of what that might have
looked like, but
the thing about Emily is that
she, you know,
I've said this before, her greatest
strength is her greatest flaw
is she has no filter.
Whether it's in her mouth or her
head, like, when it comes, it goes right
out. And so, the benefit
of that is that it makes her very transparent.
It makes her trustworthy, right?
And it makes her feel like she's not going to pull
one over on me. And the downside of that
is, you know, it's
Rick and Christian faced a little bit of it during
the game, right? The joke
is, it's like, you know, I got
to watch her those first few days before I got
to work with her. You know, they were learning on the job.
Right? And so,
it was, you know,
cool. She calibrates herself.
That's what I feel like I saw throughout the season.
Right? Because she does get
the game, but
yeah, she just
has no filter.
Like, that's just who she is. That's why
she's such an unbelievable character
to watch. Because you literally don't know what's
going to happen. She's so real.
You know? Right. But can you
share secrets with her?
You know,
you could breadcrumb stuff to her, is how
I learned how to
like, that's how we did it. Even when
we were, when 50, the 50 casting
process was going on, she looked at me at one
point, she was like, Caleb, just
don't tell me anything unless you have to.
Like, just
you know me, like, just keep it to yourself.
You know? I trust you and you trust
me and just look out for me and we'll look out for each other.
I was like, absolutely. But, so I
think the way I say it is
she can lie, but she
just has to know she's about to lie about that thing before
she does it. If she knows the plan, she'll
stick to it. But if she's like
put on the spot, she's more likely to tell the truth
in that situation. You know?
It is a tricky spot
because people
do come to you and be like, tell me
straight right now. Well, you have
to almost always tell the truth in those moments
because you don't know what
cross-examining they did and maybe
now they're going to catch you somewhere
or now it's a he said, she said
thing. It's, yeah, it's always very
tricky. I do believe that in those
moments where you're caught off guard, they're like, sometimes
you just have to spill the beans or tell
the truth because that's
what they're expecting
or that's what they're testing or you never know.
So, yeah.
Yeah, I did feel bad.
I play basketball a lot of my life
and you know what my jersey number was?
Six, seven? Twenty-one.
Twenty-one. Okay. I try
not to take too much responsibility of this one. This was
all her. It was always twenty-one?
Always twenty-one.
And Emily went out on twenty-one,
both times. Yeah.
Yeah, apparently. I didn't even realize that the first
time, but yeah, she brought it up a couple times
this episode. I was like, that's a small world, eh?
Look at that. Yeah, we're
definitely bonded in that way.
It was also, I think,
it is stunning, her
win-loss record in the pre-merge
game. She's,
I feel like she's got to be right up there in winning percentage
with Stephanie LaGrosa or whoever else
has had some chaotic, you know,
seasons. Right. Because she
lost everyone
in fifty, I think. And then
everyone except for one in forty-five.
Like, that's
as far as percentage goes. So she's been to almost every
pre-merge
tribal council. Yeah, on top of the post-merge
up until day twenty-one. That's a lot
of tribal councils.
Emily's just, you know,
everyone knows that
she's one of the most entertaining people because
she's
straight note chaser. You know,
she's like moonshine. And so,
if you can take it, you're going to have a lot of
fun. You know?
The Lemonati has
spent decades keeping lemon on top
and lime in the shadows.
Their lemon agenda has infiltrated
everything, even our
music. That hit song named
after the color of lemons?
Not a coincidence. Big
Lemon has been pulling strings in the industry
for years. Think about
it. But now,
7-Up is fighting back with their
the new lime lemon soda.
Now lime comes first.
7-Up. Flip the Sip.

Emily, I do believe she did everything she could.
She was not passive.
I agree.
You can't feel bad about that exit, in my opinion.
If you're Emily and you're watching this back, you're like, well, them's the breaks.
I did my best.
The writing was on the wall.
I saw it.
Being able to see that you're the target and like, okay, maybe nothing works out, but now I know enough to go as hard as I can to make something happen.
I think you can't be upset there.
No.
I mean.
Whatever people want to say about like, she has no filter or like, it was so chaotic in the first half of the game.
Like, this was basically everything right that you could have done.
It feels like she was doing.
Yeah.
Absolutely.
No breaks in the car.
She pushed it.
She had a great plan.
It almost worked.
She was blind.
Like, there was two blind sides in this episode, but her blind side was when the votes were read and that sixth one came out.
And yeah, it was tough to see her go.
But and I'm sure she'll keep saying she'll never come back, but maybe who knows, you know, I've heard that story before, right?
Yeah.
And here she is.
It's hard.
It's hard to resist the call of being on an island.
So, yeah, I don't doubt that.
We'll we'll see her again.
I think we'll see her again.
On the other hand, Ozzy.
Filled with regret.
Like, what is.
Such a sad exit.
Such a sad.
Exit.
The sad.
It was the sad episode in how long?
It's the saddest episode in a while.
We get Ozzy talking about his dad, his late father, and how he, you know, was pretty harsh on him.
And this moment with him and Rick in the hammock.
Then we get that tribal council number two, where.
He almost like he even teases that he's maybe going to play his idol.
He's like, I almost played my idol a few tribals ago.
But I'm glad I still have it for the future or now or now.
I don't know.
I feel and I've tried to I tried to do this on blood versus water.
It didn't work.
But I played my idol at seven thinking like that's the last like.
On even numbers, nobody wants to go to rocks.
So I was like, I know I have Jervis and Monica.
I don't know who else I have.
So I'll play my idol here.
And I'm also going to be kind of an asshole in this lead.
Up to tribal council in the hopes that they vote for me.
And I feel like Ozzy should have forced himself to play the idol by being extra at extra forceful with his will at the beach.
Just be like, I'm going to push my agenda in the hopes that people vote for me and I play my idol correctly.
Yeah, it it's for.
I will say it's always hard to push your agenda when everyone's agreeing with you, right?
It's like, we're doing this and they're like, yeah, I know, like we're doing it.
It's like, but we have to do it when they're agreeing with you, then it's like, yeah, it's like it's that's the tricky it's always a tricky part to do, right?
It's so tricky.
Yeah, I was wondering, not wondering, but you think like people are you see this constantly, like people trying to avoid replaying their mistakes on Survivor, right?
Yeah.
And do you think he was correcting the wrong mistake like he's focusing on Cook Island so much?
Yeah.
That he forgot about Micronesia, right?
It's hard.
He was like, I lost by one vote.
How do I get my votes versus I have an idol in my pocket.
I better not go home with it.
Like, I don't know.
Yeah, I think both.
Obviously, it is a learning curve.
He's got more learning to do.
I think this was his first attempt at jury management, maybe.
And you.
Outside of Exile Island.
I think this was the first time where he was like, I have to manage the jury so when I'm at the end, but he was already foreseeing himself at the end, and he was also signaling to people on the bottom that he was foreseeing himself at the end with certain people, which was way too much information.
I do agree.
Yeah, he was.
He overcorrected there on the social aspect with the jury management.
And then the idol thing is, it's always tricky to know when to play that idol.
And if people know you have an idol, you're probably not going to get enough information to know when to play it.
So I think you just have to.
Calls coming from inside the house typically in those situations.
Yes, yes, yes.
So I think that at that moment, you just have to like when the numbers are down, like you don't know if you're ever going to get a chance where the vote is only going to be determined.
By one singular vote with the two sides.
Play Rizzo literally called it this is these are two final five votes.
Yeah, is there more important vote?
Like you get a free an idol to play a final five like this is where you this is what you saved it for, right?
Had Ozzie played his idol would Rizzo played his.
No, Rizzo was never playing his idol.
I don't think so.
That guy.
No, that guy's.
Yeah, yeah.
It's his favorite heirloom.
Like he's already he's got a spot.
It's his brother that he has at home.
Right.
He needs to bring them back together.
Yeah, yeah.
I was thinking of actually you go into whatever the next Ozzie trying to train a thought is before I do.
No, we don't have any more.
Well, I mean, RIP Ozzie or said, I mean, his exit was very sad and he.
He seemed heartbroken.
He was, you know, very upset.
Like, uh, I think he said, fuck me, why guys like he said he was in shock and was sad and hanging his head and talked about his dream and didn't follow his intuition, which has to be painful to replay that over, especially watching it now.
I have to assume like, oh, I didn't follow my intuition.
I trusted you guys so much and he cannot explain how painful it is to anyone.
to anyone. Imagine that you feel like you're in the driver's seat of a life-changing amount of
I'm like, I'm not going to do this.
money. And you've only got four or five days left to get there. But you're envisioning your path is
so clear that you almost can't see a way where you don't get that money.
And then, not hours after you have envisioned that all day long, you are the next one eliminated
from this game.
That's the feeling.
And then, not only that, but coming to terms with knowing you might not ever be in that
spot ever again in your life no matter how hard you try i yeah i think i'm sober again
i am so sick now after
yeah that's that's that's reality tv really in a nutshell yeah right and it's not even the life
changing money isn't like, let me articulate it differently. If you get this money, everything
will be okay. You will be able to pay all foreseeable bills. You'll be able to take care of
all family that you've wanted to take care of. You'll be able to pursue passions that you haven't
had time for because you've been too busy figuring out how to pay those bills. And you finally have
been given this opportunity to breathe in your life. And then it's ripped from out from under
you because you told somebody that's how you were feeling about winning this money. And they also
That last one pulled my heartstrings a little bit less. I feel like that came from a lot of
life experience. Okay, fine. Here's all the good that'll happen.
Cut the second one.
Cut the second one, Ashley.
You have no idea how good this feels, right?
Like you could do anything.
And still I'm upset about not having the 2 million
of winners at war.
Yeah.
Always.
Caleb, I want to talk about Aubrey's rise to-
Before you jump to Aubrey.
Yes.
I want to say the look that Ozzy had back at the tribe
and then the turn to Jeff and that camera,
Like that transition shot was sick.
Jeff lit by fire
Ozzy turns around right into his face
that was a dope
these producers man
they do a great job
I also thought it was interesting
if we're still there
Ozzy hanging his head and just staring
at the ground for
a handful of moments before he
walked up to get his torch snuffed where he just
sat there just like what happened
and them letting him
do that
had he stayed there too long I have
no doubt production would have been like
move it along Ozzy
but like he was able to
they wouldn't have just kept it rolling like Ozzy
however long you want
they probably would have let him go for a little while
we'll cut out one of Rick's dancing
scenes we'll make time for this
you can't see it right
I was going to ask what's that
that's legitimate blindside
is there a single best blindside
that you saw in your reality career
that comes to mind where somebody was just so
shocked or so disappointed
that was I mean shock
I think the biggest shock
of a blindside was
Vetus on Blood vs. Water
I was really shocked on Token Chains
my blindside too
but I think the Vetus
the Vetus one
rang so hard
with everyone within that alliance
like Aris was just like shaken
and oh no
we voted out Aris not Vetus
so we voted out Aris first
Aris was dumbfounded
Vetus was shaken
and Tina was raging
and so I think that that
was just
you also got the collateral damage of the other people
and I knew the collateral damage
was coming so I was just like
there's no way to not have this
because usually on Survivor you always look at the numbers
you're like how few of people
can I piss off
while doing something that will
benefit my game moving forward
and so at that point I was like
there's going to be like four or five
people that are just
obscenely upset
at what we're about to do here
is it
too early
yeah
so that was
but part of you you're like
oh they didn't have plans for me
and their thing
so like that's
I got them
but at the same time
you still have to deal with them back at camp
because you can't like vote them all out at once
so yeah
I think probably
that one stands out the most
fair
fair
that's a good one
let's talk about Aubrey
yeah
I want to talk about Aubrey
because it seems like
last week
and then this week
she's kind of building into something
where she's now
you know
she's with Rick
she's got everybody to flip
and vote Ozzy out
where does she go from here?
it also feels like
she has been working with Jonathan
since being a free agent a little bit more
you've seen a few scenes of that
over the last few weeks as well
and I feel like we've seen so many
scenes
with those two
just edit reading
that I would assume
that that's
the way she's gravitating towards
yeah it's an interesting
well I just
her game is so
she's
she's
she's sick
like this
this is
this is like a
like a crowning moment
would you say psycho?
I mean
psycho
last week I for sure would have
right
this week
I mean yeah
yeah
Aubrey's a psycho
this girl is not
like I mean
she
so her first time
and I don't really remember
the season that well
but I do feel like
one of the things she did
is she had this brains group
which I know had Debbie at least
I know Neil got medevaced
but she kind of left that group
and moved over to this
Sydney, Michelle
other group
post-merge
without that many
as many
as long of relationships
and I feel like
it's a very hard transition to do
is to switch from your pre-merge group
to a post-merge group
and have that be so rock solid
that you take each other to the end
and so she has this ability
of being able to kind of
pull people together post-merge
and finding like
where does she want it
like she doesn't want to just be
a floater or a free agent
she's trying to like
corral the numbers
and have strength in the game
and so
it's just cool to see
some of the payoff of that work
in this episode
because it's not just one episode
it's multiple episodes
to get to this point
right?
Yeah
I mean and that's why it works
is because it's a longer term movement
like
had Aubrey
not done any work
or laid any groundwork
with any of
any allies
then pitching this Ozzy thing
would not have worked
because everybody would have been like
eh she's just trying to protect herself
like yeah of course
you're going to scramble in the moment
when you know it's you
but the fact that people are like
listening
means she has definitely
cultivated some of those bonds
I also think
she is
similar to
Ceri
in
coming off as
so
non-threatening
that
there's some comfort
in gravitating
to somebody like that
like if I'm in the game
and I'm
you know
butting heads
with a Rick Devins
or
which I don't think
I would butt heads
with Rick Devins
I'd probably butt heads
more with Joe
I would call him
the survivor
David Goggins
yeah
because he doesn't have
his toenails
yeah
Fireman
I
I feel like
Aubrey's
like okay
I'm butting heads
with somebody
I'm butting heads
with some people
or there's some power players here
and Aubrey's like
we should work together
let's get
let's go
let's go
I feel like
she draws you in
with that
comfort
and safety
she's a
different energy
than Ceri
for sure
Ceri is like
warm apple pie
on a
holiday
afternoon
and Aubrey
is like a
drizzly rainy day
at the beach
in Northern California
like they're just
like
yeah
yeah
Aubrey
yeah
she
that was one of the things
I worried about
about her coming into the season
because
you know
she has
in her past history
obviously she's
whether it's dealing with like
I think she had a panic attack
once or twice in seasons
and like
anxiety
and like stress
and like
at the end of the day
like how you build trust
is not necessarily time
it's through vulnerability
right
and kind of like
sharing these things with people
and it feels like
in a shortened game
you know
there's less time
to be able to have
the time to be able
to make those bonds
and so
worried for her
that
and that
plus the fact that
people grow up
like it's 5, 10, 15 years
like I don't know
how long it's been
since her first season
she hadn't even talked about that
yeah
you
you aren't that person anymore
and she's the person
who probably is doing the work
and also
seeing yourself
crushed on TV
a couple times
probably helps build
that self-confidence as well
so
you know
you almost wonder like
did she
does she still have it
I think she does
I also feel like
she's gaining in confidence here
I think she came in
early in the season
without as much
that confidence
and I think things
have worked out
or her plans
have come together
or she's been winning people over
and recognizing it
that she's now like
building confidence
which is then
going to give her
more power
to make maneuvers
yeah
her first focus
was Genevieve
then she'll play Survivor
right
so once that was
she's like
now I can turn it on
over here
yeah
if I can get through
one hurdle
yeah
so
I'll be interested to see
where her
game goes
I feel like
she's
we're finally starting to see her
and she's on this trajectory
so
it will be interesting to see
if she can keep it up
or if she flies too close
to the sun
this is a big vote for her
for sure
yeah
oh
she saved her life here
she saved her life
right here
but I mean
even the next one
it's like
can you carry this momentum
and get to this
end game
with the people that you want
because that's going to dictate
right
it feels like
I see Jonathan
Joe
and Aubrey
being a three
in some way
connected through Jonathan
and I feel like
we have
uh
uh
uh
Seri
Tiffany
and Rizzo
yeah
are connected through Seri
and then you have Rick
right there in the middle
Devin's
yeah
right
so who do you want to go
to the end with
like let's say that you're
magically whisked
to the island
in this moment
uh
Caleb
who are you choosing
as the two
lowercase
goats
to drag with you
to the end
if you can
to win votes over
wow
all right
see what you did to me there
okay
uh
I think
I uh
uh
I
listen
uh
all great competitors
disclaimers aside
right
I'd probably pick
maybe
Joe
as one
yeah
uh
he hasn't picked history
hopefully not getting
votes there
so you
you'd hope
right
and then
like you'd probably
take fish back
at some point
right
and then um
I uh
the maybe
I would
it's tough
I I'm
maybe
Rizzo
okay
maybe
Tiffany's got a lot
of friends out there
like I know she's not
like the center focus
of the season right now
but you look at the jury
I feel like
especially with D being
like the mayor
of the whole thing
she's dangerous in the end
for that reason
is because
I think she's dangerous too
yeah
because she hasn't pissed
anybody off
she's not made anybody
really upset
hear me out
um
what if I take
Joe and Devin's
so that they can just
argue at the final
tribal council
with each other
about how much
they hate each other
while I sit there
in the middle
smiling
nice
yeah
pretty good
you might not have
enough time to
you might not have
any time to talk
but
might be better
for me
you just sit there
on winners at war
the final tribal council
went so long
and Sophie Clark
was so sick
that she finally
raised her hand
and was like
Whoever keeps their answers the shortest, I'm voting for.
for them. And still
none of them could keep their answers short.
They were still like, let me expound on
the thing I just said by expounding more.
Yeah.
So some people want
different things. Riley,
who are your two lowercase goats that you're
dragging to the end in this position of this
final seven that we have?
Probably
I would have thought Devin's
pre-MrBeast coin flip, but now I
think you cannot let the guy who
put his
life on the line to make the pot $2 million
get to the end. That's
just such a feather in his cap that I'm
too scared about it. So definitely
not Devin's.
But knowing
that he was going to be
the target and he had a one in six shot
of going home or a 50-50 shot
in going home, you can't minimize the play
in front of the jury?
I mean, that's
how I would see it. Yes.
I would be like, I don't know if somebody who
put their whole
game in this
random chance and otherwise was totally
toast is somebody that I actually respect enough to
give the vote if I was on the jury. I just don't know
if everyone else will see it that way. I think other
people would be like riding high on the adrenaline
and be like, well, this guy, you know, he made
it $2 million
at his own risk. So maybe we just give him
the $2 million. So I'm not, no, I'm not picking him.
I mean, I would try to make that argument, but
we're talking about who I would
like absolutely want to sit next to.
And you're like, didn't you think Rick was
disgusting? Didn't
you think Rick was
inappropriate? Can I
say about Joe? So I absolutely
love Joe because I feel like it's
he's like, if you've ever seen the movie
Memento, I feel like he wakes up every day
with like no and learns
what Survivor is for the first time that day
and is like, oh my God, I can't believe
this disgusting game.
And the other thing about
Joe is
I've realized I realized this episode
where I really want to see him next is
on the traitors where he's a traitor
and he's like
paired with like Russell
answer somebody. Yes. And they're
like, you have to murder somebody. And he's just
like, God, I don't know.
I can't do it. Can we tell
him? Can I tell him I'm a traitor? No.
It's amazing. I was
like a little bit like
skeptical when they cast Joe
and now I'm like, it's a great
bit to cast somebody who's like morally
opposed to the game of Survivor.
Just generally, it's
I'm I think he's incredible. It's a fun
Zach. That's
what I'm I'm taking him to the end. I
would love to sit next to Joe in the end
because I agree with you
Caleb. I think that there's
a good chance that you know
this type of game isn't necessarily
winning the respect of the jury
and by the way, I will say
yeah, it's very hard because there is so
many people you feel like Siri will wait like
you go down the line. Oh, yeah, when like it's
so few people to pick from as well at this point.
So, oh, yeah, there's no there's
no true easy win here. There's no
like obvious. So this person's getting
nothing. That we're Tyson
has us doing to ourselves right now. So
yeah, yes.
I already told you
I would take to the end. I'm
I want Rick and Joe
to fight each other and argue
about each other the whole
time because they just pick on each other the whole time
and you just be sitting there like
I'm okay.
Ashley, do you want to say you take to the end
to finish? I didn't finish.
Oh, you need another one. Okay. Yeah.
So yeah, I can't say that Riley
wants to shit on one more person.
Yeah, I'm ready to go. So
I would sit next to Joe and then I would
final two. Yeah,
I would say I would it would be
Joe and Jonathan and I think that maybe
they split some of the old
school vote that
is on that jury and then I can
I can squeeze out the
wind from there, but I do agree with you
Caleb like it's I mean
there's no there's no like
freebie person here where you're like there's
no way they can win. It's like I don't know. Is it possible a joke
to win? Yeah, I think it's possible joke of win. I think it's
possible Jonathan could win. So
it's not it's not like an easy decision
and I wouldn't necessarily make my decisions
in the game at final nine final eight being
like who I want to sit next to because
it's so not obvious.
All right. So sorry, Ashley.
I do think though at this point
to go a little
bit not against what you said, but you do need
to target people you think are unbeatable.
I don't think yeah, I'm not I'm not
going to the end. I think
it's a smart play to be like I'm not going to the end with
Ozzy probably smart play to be like I'm not going to the
end with Suri, you know? Yeah, sure.
I think that's what in this time
frame of the game right here. That's what you're
more focused on is who can't I
beat versus who can I beat?
I was curious your take on that. Sorry
Ashley Tyson because you have
those experience with you take hey
I have Ozzy and a four
going into the final seven if you're Rizzo
or do I take out Ozzy because I
think Ozzy can win.
Let me get rid of Ozzy. Now us three
have to find one
and make it to the next stage of the game. What would you do?
I feel like I'm beating Ozzy in the end
so I don't think that I'm threatened by that.
I'm threatened if
I'm looking at this final
group of seven
or if we wanted to nine
before the vote outs.
I'm looking at Suri as someone that I
probably am not beating in the end
and
cannot go to the end with her
and that's
that's my number one target.
I'm not concerned with going
to the end with anybody else in that moment
depending on how
maybe Aubrey moves or
Tiffany moves. Maybe they are threats
for the future. Maybe not
but in this moment. You don't think Ozzy can be a threat?
Versus me in the end?
No.
I think I'm likable enough.
I think I don't really
rub people the wrong way.
I am pretty self-aware
and
so I yeah I think
Suri would be the one
that would be. You look at the jury you got
like Stephanie,
Chrissy, Coach. You look at all
the people who are like Jonathan, back pocket
votes you would think right?
All those people are voting me over
Jonathan. Well yeah. Your assistant
coach. So of course.
So I and I wasn't
even measuring that. I was just measuring based off.
of how people generally
react to me.
And I think
yeah Suri is the only one that I am not.
In this moment I'm like
I have to get rid of Suri
before the end game. That's my
primary objective.
But it can't be
at my detriment.
Ashley do you want to say who you think
would be the easiest two to beat in the end?
Or do you want to hold that information close
to your chest so that you don't
have any enemies at the finale?
Um.
Now you're making me rethink everything.
Um.
Well of course I would take Joe to
the end. Just because
of all the enemies he's making. He's making
so many enemies and he's playing such a funny
funny little game. But
I just want to see Rizzo
versus Suri on the
on the fire and see what happens. How
long is it going to take? Are
either of them going to make any fire? I want to see.
Wow. We can bring out the
matches like they did in Cook Islands.
Oh. Is that
insulting to do that? Yeah.
Also one of my favorite moments ever.
It's pretty good.
You would think that Suri can make fire.
Right? Like at this point. Yeah.
They can both make it.
Yeah.
I don't think either of them are breaking a record.
But I think that
they. I think Suri can get
it done. I don't know if Rizzo
can get fire done.
Alright. Riley what do we have for
Riley's reads?
Alright. Who advanced their game
the most this episode? Aubrey.
It has to be Aubrey.
She was able to flip everything
onto Ozzy. Get rid of Ozzy
which was someone she was not working with.
Um
and
you know maybe even
did it in a way where Ozzy is
too upset at the people who betrayed him and he
Aubrey didn't really betray
him. So
maybe he she also like
earned a jury vote if she gets to the end with
Ozzy. Yeah. I like that.
I mean he's not voting Rizzo
to win now.
He could still vote
Suri. But outside
of Suri he's probably going to choose
Aubrey. Yeah. You want to
it's like your team loses
in the playoffs you kind of like okay well at least we lost to
the champions if they go on and win the whole thing.
Right? Yeah. Or
you want that team to lose next
so that you can be like didn't
have it. Yeah. Yeah.
Yeah. I would agree with
Aubrey if I had to pick someone else maybe Jonathan.
He essentially
got to take out his white
whale so to speak finally like he's
been going after this guy for however many weeks
and at some point that information
was going to backfire on him. Right? Like it was going to get out
there that it was him. So that
must be pretty nice to not only take out him
and then you also take out Emily so you weaken Rick
but you still keep a big target of the game. So
it feels like everything kind of did come up Jonathan
and it didn't look like he pissed off that many people.
Yeah. For how much he could have.
Yeah. Yeah. But
Aubrey if we're talking about like most
improved player she took the biggest
leap so to speak this episode I feel like.
Totally. Right. I definitely agree
with Aubrey. I think she was able to spill
the beans about Ozzy's plan
to everyone without any
repercussions in comparison to like
Emily who does that a lot.
I think it was really smart for Aubrey to do
it this time around. So I think
Hey that only hurts her allies.
All right. Yeah. She only does
that to her allies.
Riley, who you got?
i mean same it's unanimous it's aubrey um she was like i mean she was doa and then
ozzy just tossed her uh a life preserver and she took it um okay so the opposite is who damaged
their game the most that didn't exit yeah that didn't exit obviously caleb who's uh who put
themselves in a worse position this after this week i mean i i feel like you maybe look at
joe um for having this like outward tension with rick again that's been kind of reignited
sari was i think at the very beginning of the episode like i'm kind of throwing their eyes at
him yeah everyone is right
again
dealing with him yeah tiffany that's not good yeah yeah but tiffany was like ah but like we
just have to deal with it like it's fine um but uh yeah i feel like uh it's not only uh challenging
to obviously make it further but then it also challenges people's perception of you if who
they're going to vote for at the end right so that might be my took me a second to think of a name
there but that might be my one sure yeah i honestly i think joe too i think he keeps like
getting into it with people
and he keeps like the fact that he's just like rick is disgusting and uh and inappropriate like
if i'm out there and i saw rick flip the beast coin and then that's the reaction i get from joe
i'm like no that's not right read uh that's uh no like i i feel like what you said where it's
memento and every day joe wakes up and he's like explain survivor to me
yuck yuck like i i you can't like if you keep doing that over and over at some point you're
like we can't vote for this guy to win yeah but you can't keep him in all the way to the end
totally i will say though that of all the like okay so like uh if you were to say like oh this
feels stifling to work with joe at least it's stifling in the way where he's like hey we have
a group let's keep our group like we're not gonna vote for this guy we're not gonna vote for this guy
it is kind of still your ideal ally in some ways right it's not like uh versus like oh don't talk
to anybody or don't do anything right like we've seen those people come around before like he's
like what would he he is like keep it simple stupid like that's his motto right and he fights
to keep the group together so you don't have to be the one you're like okay if the group kind of
fractures joe will rage at somebody for being dishonorable and then it'll either pull it back
together or the target will be on him but not me yeah so in some ways it's like he's like oh
it is good but it's just maybe how it's being executed maybe isn't as polished or smooth as
you maybe would hope it would be right ashley ashley i'm gonna say i think riz god heard his
heard his game today again we're the aussie yeah i think he didn't like he messed up the group the
threesome of aussie and suri and him and i feel like when you break up a partnership your other
partner gets mad that's just not how you do it in a poly cool so
she's gonna be mad yeah i was gonna say rizzo too and could because also when aussie goes home
and he goes to him and he's like oh you said too much i'll explain later it's like no like
that this is not you don't explain to somebody how they nuke their game you do actually do what
jonathan did and you just be like i couldn't beat you you know like mad respect yeah um so it felt
like rizzo was not only losing what i think was a very solid
ally but also was just lighting that jury vote on fire with his last words too it was um i feel
like rizzo is actually like a very adept and thoughtful player but this is like a massive
stumble for him yeah i don't disagree i do think the i'll explain to you later is just like oh
you're gonna make this my fault like yeah i i agree yeah i i do agree with that i don't i don't
know in rizzo's head if he's thinking like is getting rid of the game or is he just going to
aussie in this moment the smart move or not uh which is like can he explain it off to sari yeah
and i feel like he can because he told aubrey about the extra vote and stuff so i feel like
he's going to be fine with sari coming back uh yeah and where else is she going to go as well
yeah yeah yeah so um okay so who are who are our winner picks at this point uh okay who's going to
be the winner pick um my original winner pick was genevieve this season
uh fellow canadian shout out billy eilish right but uh you know do we want to talk about billy
eilish uh she did mention that there was like god she did mention that there was like an idol
with a letter uh billy this clip is rough yeah which was on survivor you know they called me
and i was like yeah whatever and then it was and then they did it i i was always i was
always upset on behalf of sia like how is this how's sia not one of these things she's given a
million dollars of her own money has this been talked about what's going on not in length but
i have said like it should have been sia why why did they not call sia even if jeff is for some
reason upset at sia or whatever like call sia say dude get her back 100 um so yeah but uh yeah that
came across my timeline as well uh so people had uh brought it to my attention and uh yeah um i
wonder what yeah what is the vetting process of this person's a big fan of survivor you know
the vetting process is a few years ago she had a song with a lyric that said i want to see people
suffer like on survivor either jeff or his team were like you gotta fucking tweet or send a video
public video to billy eilish that's just like hey and i think she also
like admitted to watching survivor in the past or see watching some survivor or something and jeff
or his team or somebody gets so amped anytime someone famous mentions survivor that he
immediately gets on social media and sends them an invite or something like derrick huff was uh
talking about playing survivor and he's like derrick anytime you want to come and play
and you're just like okay so billy said the word survivor out of her mouth
referring to the television show survivor which was the catalyst enough for them to do this and
i think that's all the interaction they ever had i think whoever jeff's team was only ever talked
to billy eilish's team never billy eilish herself and the team was just like we chose this and how's
the letter and she's like i don't give a shit just give them the thumbs up and let me continue
with my career and then when everybody questions you people for it
yeah exactly
so it's a bummer it's a bummer though like it's like okay you wanted to be a part of it or you
agreed to be a part of it at least like do your part like that like don't use air quotes and eye
rolls when describing and she didn't even say the word boomerang in the whole thing nope i don't
think she knows the premise of it at least they got jimmy fallon to feel bad enough about it
that they put christian on the show and then or they got like you know like like zach brown like
i didn't particularly enjoy the zach brown hour on survivor but at least he was like a genuine fan of
the show and he came all the way out to fiji and stuff i mean this is like i don't think billy
eilish is watching this season yeah harpoon gun and yeah he came correct yeah yeah i think they're
onto something with the the celebrity and like kind of like re-entering this like ice in that way
and they're just fine tuning
it it's gonna be a little touch and go right i don't think they're onto anything i think it's a
flop i think it's a big flop yeah i don't think four all four i don't think any of them brought
any more eyes to the show i don't think anybody's tuning in to be like let me see what the jimmy
fallon thing did i don't think anybody from any of those fan bases is doing that except i don't think
at all maybe the mr beast episode mr beast fans tuned in a little bit one right or they just watched
the youtube clip of the cut and we don't get any more viewers anyways i don't think it moved the
needle in any capacity i think moving the needle more as other people's idea not my own idea would
have been to have survivor legends go out and do something uh because they understand the game more
they understand it should be the jt and you're gonna re-involve us you know yeah re-involve past
contestants that maybe aren't willing to play again or don't have the time to play again or
that they just didn't invite back like having boston rob out there to do the spear fishing
would have been 10 times more powerful than having uh a country singer out there uh having the
poverty uh black widow a double eye a double idol find would have been more powerful than a billy
eilish thing um yeah maybe they could have given them challenges and there's something there oh you
know what i actually do like that better now that i heard it yeah but uh we have some good ideas
yeah cochran's probably still got that boat somewhere right he's got that boat
and i think like even to the point of how absurd and stupid people thought that was in the moment
bring it back because it's so stupid and absurd
the audience
would love it
if Cochran's like
I'm on the boat again
and everybody's like
I want to win this one
Cochran's one of the guys
I wanted on 50
I know he said
I think he said no
did I hear that somewhere
he probably
he says
he said no to everything
yeah I think he always says no
so
as long as it's
Sri winning
the advice from Cochran
that's what we need
yeah that's what you want
you want somebody
to
like the mashup of like
all the
winners at war
flipping out over the 2 million
but they cut it
to have
Cochran
the
it's the boom of
Cochran's boat rolling in
and the winners at war
people just be like
yes
it's Cochran
like that's
that's the energy
that this would
I mean it would totally
inspire
yeah
I think
that
I think the celebrity thing
was
big swing and a miss
and
I think it was always
going to be
I think Survivor's
niche audience
that is very big
but still niche
the people who are
fanatic about it
would
go more bonkers
more people are tuning in
from the past
to watch Boston Robb
appear on the show again
for a moment
than are tuning in
to see
what the
idol that
Billie Eilish's team
agreed to be
named after her
was going to have
an effect on the game
like nobody's
like
you're a Billie Eilish fan
listening to her music
and then
somebody's like
she has an idol
on Survivor
named after her
and you're like
I don't even know
what the fuck
you're talking about
and then that's the end of it
yeah
is she on the show?
yeah
yeah is she on the show?
no
she's not even on the show
and
she hasn't talked about it
publicly at all
except for she did
an eye roll about it
so does that make you
want to see it more?
probably no
okay
and it's like
Survivor's also
like this is the
gold standard
for
competition reality TV
it's the number one show
in its time slot
it basically always has been
for
26 years
26 years now
it doesn't need
these kind of gimmicks
like I feel like
Survivor is a
just
frankly above this
and
I wish it would act like it
it did used to act like it
and for some reason
yeah
I mean
in so much that
it was just like
we're never doing a celebrity version
we're gonna do
all-star seasons
far and few
we don't like it
when our contestants
go on other seasons
because we feel like
we're above the traitors
we're above like
Deal or No Deal Island
or whatever
but then it's
like
oh they're not above
like Jimmy Fallon
writing a letter
for this channel
like you're above that too
come on
NBC talk show host
come on in
you're on
your name's on CBS
and then Jeff's like
my friend
Jimmy Fallon
and it's like okay
well
guess you had your friend
Mike White play
and then you had your friend
Jimmy Fallon
do the idol thingy
whatever the thing was
yeah
yeah
so
anyways my winner pick
yeah
so we're on winner picks
is it Billie Eilish?
no it sounds like
she's definitely not a winner
at the end of the season
I would pick
I'm between three people
and if I'm gonna go
with my heart
I'm gonna say Serene
I don't know how
that's my winner pick too
yeah
that's my winner pick too
I feel like
it's not mine
Ashley
mine's Tiff
forever
my
she's gonna win
yes
and she's also building steam
she's been building
for a few episodes here
and she's still
very safe
and very well known
yeah
yeah
, well positioned
oh yeah
how are you guys feeling
about Tiffany on this season?
because she was kind of like
the Kelly Wentworth
surpriser
person of the cast
yeah
I mean you always know
that there's always gonna be
a couple people like that
where you're like
that's an interesting choice
for the season 50th landmark
but then you also understand
that a lot of times
those people go
really deep in the game
and end up
that's
their survivor career
is more defined
by their second appearance
than their first
and
and she's one of those people
and especially now
where
she was pretty invisible
the whole first half
of the season
like
Zach Brown
Zach Brian
Zach Brown
who
what's his name?
Zach Brown
had more confessionals
at his spot in the season
than Tiffany had
all season long
at that point
and so now
we're seeing her
building
building alliances
being in good
with everybody
she's not creating
any enemies
and she was on the outs
just a few episodes ago too
yes
her indeed
right?
yeah
and like now she's like
in the inner circle
yeah I feel like
what I said before
was that
I feel like
there's some people
that go on Survivor
and
like every single
one of the funniest things
that they said
made it on the show
like there's nothing
on the cutting room floor
and there's some people
it's like
man this person
was just hilarious
this was what made it in
but there's so much more
like we see the potential
that maybe didn't even
get a chance to be there
like this is
we're just betting on
the horse
not necessarily the resume
right?
right
and
you know
I feel like
that's maybe where it came from
and
yeah I feel like
I've met Tiffany
a couple times
and yeah she's got
the
her own riz
so to speak
like it connects
with a lot of people
and so it feels like
you know
it took her a little bit
in the post-merge game
but she's finally
kind of getting there
right?
okay yeah
yeah I think she's definitely
on the up and up
and Ashley's still
riding with Tiffany
mhm
mhm
yeah
why not
I'm
yeah
that's it
Riley what else
anything else?
alright
who goes home next week?
who goes home?
I was leaning towards
Tiffany or Aubrey
mhm
I think
I'm gonna say Tiffany
ooh
at this point
I just feel like
I look at
if there's three
three and one
where does Rick wanna go?
he probably wants to go
with Joe
Jonathan
Aubrey camp
versus the Seri camp
who do they take out?
maybe they don't wanna
take out Seri first
cause they're all
worried about that
so they're thinking
either Rizzo
and Tiffany
Rizzo as an idol
that's kind of
where it comes from
so
um
if I wrote the whole
episode already
of how I could see it going
that's what I would see
okay
before the next twist
I think Rick's in trouble
I think Rick
as that middle guy
is in trouble
he's not really in the middle
cause Joe hates his guts
and I think like
they have to give Joe
like if Joe's gonna
keep pushing
it's either like
let's get rid of Joe
so we don't have to keep
hearing how disgusting
Joe's like
I've been waiting for this
for like
16 consecutive
tribal councils
and if you wanna take
Joe to the end
you just have to give him
something
so it's just like
uh
and Rick
again
flipped the coin
for the double milli
he's chaotic
he's in the middle
he doesn't have
any
buddy between him now
and he
and he played his idol
so
it might be one of those
moments where
we see Rick being like
I'm in the middle
this is gonna be great
and then everybody else
is like
let's just get rid of
the middle person
then we'll
we'll fight this out
next time
yeah
yeah
I bet you that's how it starts
no matter what
and we'll see
what happens
yeah
Ashley
originally
I was gonna say Joe
because he was getting
on everyone's nerves
and I feel like
that's kinda
the last thing you want
as you're going
towards the end
but
I feel like
it would be smarter
for them to go for
Seri
like right now
I feel like
with her alliance
is already
breaking up
she's kinda
in a
in a vulnerable
vulnerable spot
with everybody
so
I feel like
if they really
really
want to put something
on their resume
I think getting rid of Seri
would be a very good
thing to do
okay
yeah
so
take a swing
Caleb chose
your winner pick
and you chose
Caleb's winner pick
yep
total coincidence
Riley
who you got
not gonna take that
personally
I think I'm with you
Tyson
I'm gonna
I'm gonna
I'm gonna take
Devin's
because I think
I think that
you know
in a different world
it would be like
oh Devin's is actually
kind of a goat
we want to sit next to him
but because he hit that coin flip
it's
you actually don't want to sit next to him
but you also can't work with him
yeah
and I think the chaos
that he brings
if you're not like
locked in with him
like Emily was
or
or
something like that
like you can't trust
that he
his chaos isn't just gonna
blow up in your face
I think that's also
maybe Aubrey will try
and save him or something
I don't know
I also think it could be Aubrey
next week
but I'm gonna go with Devin's
it was a good reminder
for everyone at home
that those two played together
at the beginning of the episode
right
yeah
yep
yeah
I kind of forgot that
yeah
I did too
I did too
I know
I've sort of forgotten that as well
and then it comes up
yeah
so
alright
okay
that'll do it
