Reality TV and Conspiracy Theories w/ Stassi Schroeder
50m 2s
Stassi Schroeder, a seasoned reality TV star and podcast host, shares her personal journey and insights on authenticity, relationships, and self-worth in a candid conversation with Morgan Stewart. From her early days on *The Amazing Race* and *Queen Bees* to her rise on *Vanderpump Rules*, Stassi emphasizes that her success was built on consistency, not overnight fame. She discusses her evolving relationship with self-image, including her honest reflections on social media scrutiny, body image, and how criticism shapes her emotional resilience. Stassi highlights the importance of vulnerability, emotional honesty, and being a safe space for others—especially in parenting and friendship. She shares personal anecdotes about her marriage to Bo, their children, and the emotional dynamics of motherhood, noting how her children’s personalities mirror her own. A central theme is her belief that true connection comes from authenticity, not perfection. Stassi also reflects on how her long-standing presence in pop culture gives her a grounded, humble perspective, contrasting with the fleeting fame of others. Her upcoming show, *House of Stassi*, is described as fresh, real, and unscripted, breaking traditional reality TV norms by embracing raw, unfiltered moments. The conversation ends with mutual admiration, underscoring Stassi’s impact as a relatable, grounded, and emotionally intelligent figure in modern media. Morgan praises Stassi’s authenticity and realness, calling her a natural fit for the spotlight, and emphasizes that her journey resonates deeply with audiences seeking genuine human connection.

Hey, everyone. I'm Morgan Stewart, and welcome to The Morgan Stewart Show. I'm going to be
talking about pop culture, fashion, my personal life, and just a warning, I will be giving my
opinions on everything, and those opinions are subject to change, okay? Now, let's get into it.
Okay, you guys, this is our second take. We keep things real here at The Morgan Stewart Show.
Can we start?
Are we starting? Is that okay? Okay, leave all of that in. Stassi, welcome to The Morgan Stewart
Show. I was just making a joke that I think you guys do need to know now. Every time I have a new
guest, I'm always like, I want to be like, blah, blah, blah, welcome to Call Her Daddy because it
just flows better.
I know.
It flows better.
I never know how to start a podcast. I've been doing this for, what, like 11, 12 years,
and every single time, I'm like, hey. I don't know how. I don't have an opening.
They wanted me to say, welcome to the show, Stassi Schroeder. Here with me today is three-time New
York.
Ew.
New York Times bestselling author, television personality, podcast host.
We don't know that. People know me.
And star of the new show on Freeform, House of Stassi.
Yes, and on Hulu.
And on Hulu.
Yes.
July 29th.
July 29th, first two episodes on Freeform. All episodes released July 30th on Hulu.
Look at that. We got the plug. We got the plug in early.
Are we allowed to tell people now that I make a small guest appearance on the show?
Yeah, and it's a really good scene.
Is it a good scene?
Yeah.
Have you seen it?
Yes.
Did I look thin? I've been thinking about it for months.
You were like the thinnest person on the show.
The thinnest person I know.
No, no.
I'm coming back down.
You have the best body of anyone I know.
Wait, first of all, thank you. And second of all, I didn't even tell people yet because
this whole like being able to watch and listen and people not choosing to watch makes me
crazy. Stassi showed up in full purchased Wrangler. You're giving navy satin. Your eyes
are literally the same color, which I'm like, I'm morphed into.
No, it's perfect.
Perfect. And do you know what else is perfect? Your hair color.
I know, and it's natural.
There's not one gray hair.
Yes, there is. Hartford helps me pluck two of them yesterday. It's getting to the point where
it started after the fires. I didn't have a single gray hair until the fires. And then I noticed it
was just like game over. That's when it began. It's like when you hear about how Marie Antoinette
before her execution, like she went into prison with her normal hair color and then left the day
of her execution, her hair was white. Fear from fear.
From fear and stress.
Yes. So like after the fires, I noticed,
I started getting grays. And so my days are numbered with this hair color. I'm going to
have to start getting like teensy highlights to help blend. But I'm living in this naturalness
for as long as I can.
But nobody has a hair color that looks like that. And I just want this to last for you
as long as possible because you're not going to be able to dye it that same color.
But nobody, first of all, my natural hair color is like a mousy greenish blonde.
You think that until you do grow it out. So like I grew up thinking that until I grew it out.
And I was like, actually, this is kind of chic, but you have lousy, but you have light eyes.
So you get away with murder. That's helpful. I have that's dark. I need bright to come here.
But I'm too bright right now. No, this is why I started a show to talk about hair color for
40 minutes. No, no, no, no, no, no, no. You are a blondie. And this is a perfect blonde.
You think? Yes. But also it's fake. And that's getting like I'm too like this is uncool.
No, I'm so fucking sick of people being like, no, no, no. We just need to be who we are.
We are. Yes. There is no fucking Morgan Stewart. And you are blonde Morgan Stewart.
Stassi, I needed you today. Can I tell you? I don't know what I'm keeping it close.
I needed this energy because there's nothing worse. And I'm sure you've had guests on your podcast when you're like, oh, man, I don't have the energy to go.
That's the fucking worst. That's why I have a co-host now, because I'm just like I was like done.
Can I? It's hard. I am not doing guests anymore. I can't do it.
I'm I'm bringing on my best friend and we're just going to do this together. And Mondays are so much.
But what more joyful? What time do you start? We do it at noon.
Are you getting glam for that every time? No, I do it for my house.
So I have a studio in my house. So I literally just go down in like silky pants and, you know, a sweater and FaceTime, audio, whatever, Zoom with her.
And it's like the easiest thing you've ever done. Yeah, it's so fun.
It's honestly I really need to start getting into that. I'm having so much fun, but it's just it's a lot more taxing than I think people realize.
And by the way, I'm all I'm doing is complaining about the podcast every week. People are going to be like,
don't fucking do the podcast. I love doing the podcast.
But it is it's definitely like it's not as formatted and it's not as sort of tight as TV and being TV girls, being television superstars.
It's really our superstars. OK, I want to talk about your first of all, I did do some research because people sent me a bunch of cards.
Why did you? But we're friends. We have to do research because I didn't know you were on The Amazing Race.
Oh, yeah. I didn't know that was even relevant. But like, what do you like? How did that even happen?
I have been doing.
I've been doing reality TV since I was 16.
I know.
But so my dad was obsessed with that show. And then I remember being in the living room with him and he was watching it.
And after it aired, it was like, are you a family of four?
No, we're doing a family edition of The Amazing Race.
And my dad was like, we're sending in an audition tape. And we literally made an audition tape, sent it in.
And they were like that superstars.
Wait, so were you so you have always meant to be you're like meant to be.
I really do think I was just always meant to.
Do TV on TV.
I mean, we sent a fucking audition tape.
So that's you, your dad, your mom and brother.
My stepmom at the time.
I've had a lot of step parents.
OK, that's fine.
Cheek.
My stepmom at the time and my brother.
Yeah. One of my brothers.
And so where did you go?
So it was like an American edition, which was like unfortunate because it was like families of four.
And we got like went to Disneyland pretty much.
We got we went to like an Amish area like Lancaster, Pennsylvania.
Lancaster, Pennsylvania.
I would have syphilis and go to Lancaster, Pennsylvania.
What are you talking about?
To like be intense, like literally sleep intense.
It was really hard.
OK, so how long were you there?
Only we lasted four episodes and ironically enough, got eliminated in my hometown of New Orleans.
So I was just like meant to be.
That feels very full circle.
So embarrassing that like we're eliminated where we know this town.
How did we get here?
How did we get eliminated here?
You guys.
OK, but then also, first of all, what's Queen B's?
Because I didn't realize there was such a history.
And I'm sorry to the Stassi Schroeder fans that are like obsessed with you.
Wait, by the way.
What is your is your real name, Stassi?
Nastassia.
Nastassia is so slutty.
I am dying over it.
I was going to say royal.
Nastassia.
I mean, what is that?
It is royal.
It's very regal.
Nastassia Bianca Schroeder.
That's slutty.
Left nipple hard.
That's insane.
Girl, you somebody would have bought you a boat.
That name.
Just that name alone is crazy.
Yeah.
No.
OK.
I missed my time dating wealthy men like I didn't do that.
You didn't know me.
I wish I would have.
You didn't.
We could have spent a few years.
But you know what?
It worked out in the end because you have two beautiful children.
You have the nicest husband.
I know he is.
By the way, and my husband can talk to him and my husband really doesn't want to talk
to anybody.
And I feel like Bo's probably the same way.
I relate to your husband like that.
You guys are both like I it takes a lot for me to actually like talk to people at a party
like when I see that you're there or like there's certain people that I'm like, oh,
fuck.
Thank God.
Yeah.
Like I can talk to you for hours or whatever.
But like if I don't know that there's somebody at a party, I I'm in the corner by myself.
I'm in the corner by myself.
Are you guarded?
Are you trusting of people initially?
I feel like I am.
Yeah.
You're like an open book when you.
Yeah, I feel like I am.
It's just like I don't really like have a lot to say.
I talk a lot already.
Like I'm just like kind of like antisocial like that when I.
Yeah.
I get really overwhelmed around a lot of people.
Have you always been that way or is that later?
Like later, later in life.
So I used to like show up to clubs alone in L.A.
So it has to be a later.
Life thing.
Like I think that's only been recently.
Yeah.
It's it's weird how much weirder we get the older we get.
Like I'm waiting for the wisdom to set in.
Like I keep hearing that like, you know, the older you get, the wiser, more confident you get.
And I'm like, not me.
I think the opposite, to be honest with you.
I feel probably less confident now than I did when I was like hideous.
Yes.
Like, oh, my God.
The early my early 20s.
I was the fucking queen.
Queen.
Of course.
Confidence.
As I have gotten older, I feel less sure of my interactions with people than I did when I was younger.
And I don't like that.
That that that that that I and I overthink everything that comes out of my mouth after I said it.
Like when I sent you that voice note, I felt so bad.
I didn't respond.
I was like, she hates me.
No, I I could cry.
I'm literally.
So, yeah, you should cry.
I were a week straight.
I thought you hated me.
And I was just and Bo had told me like Bo heard me like recording that.
But voice out to to the listeners.
I recorded a voice note and I sent it to her because I went to go book my makeup artist for this very interview.
And she was like, Morgan Stewart already booked me.
And I'm like, what?
That bitch.
I'm doing her show.
I need you.
And so then I was like, OK, I guess I'm just going to wake up at six in the morning and have you earlier.
But I sent her a voice on being like, what the fuck, Morgan?
You took Carly.
Yeah, literally Carly.
And Bo heard me recording it.
And he was like, you you're sending that.
He's like, that's mean.
Oh, my God.
I'm like, no, Morgan gets it.
Like, Morgan gets it.
I'm just joking.
I have like a smile on my face like she knows.
And then you didn't respond.
And a week straight, I was like.
hates me. She fucking hates me. Why do I do stupid stuff? Why do I say stupid things? Why do I have
to be so lame? Can I tell you? And as somebody who is so sensitive about that stuff, I felt so
fucking bad because I listened. I laughed out loud and then I got fucking busy. Yeah, no, I get it.
Does my mic need Viagra? What's it is a limp. It is limpy, limpy. Why do why am I not being
able to keep the mic hard? I don't like it. And keep it in. Keep it all in.
So sometimes I do a little like just like a quick you do. You're so pretty like that. Can I tell
you, I weirdly look good with my hair back, but I'm always like covering my face. You should do
this more often. But I also have so much fake hair that they show. This is going to I love these. I
always have people on that we go in different directions. Back to your voice note. I felt
truly bad. I'm glad. And empathetic. I'm like, I'm not going to do this. I'm not going to do this.
Because I was like, it was so fucking funny. I felt so bad. And then also, if it was me,
I probably would have called and been like, wait, you didn't answer.
Yeah. OK. No, I'm really glad that you felt. Yes. Bad. I did. Because truly I had to suffer for a
week. I can't believe you suffered in silence. You should have just texted me again. I've been
like, did you see this? But I also sent you a birthday message before that. I didn't acknowledge
and it was a well thought out birthday. Can I tell you something? There is no fucking excuse.
No.
The whole day I was like, no one wished me happy birthday. So I was so I'm like,
I can't actually send her another message because that's too gone unanswered.
I honestly, you know what? I we I don't have an assistant here today. I'm insane. I'm sending
you flowers for this. You don't know. No, I love flowers. I'm going to send you some wrangly shirts.
OK. How are you with meeting Internet friends? I feel like I'm like dealing like I feel like
when I meet people. Oh, like so people that were like other and like other and other influencers.
Like I just feel like our peers, like I feel like we are.
All sort of on an island. We all want the best for each other. But I realize people are more out for them. I'm looking for community at this stage of my life.
I'm a hype woman. I know you are to like really make an effort with people and support people in in this space because like I really feel uncomfortable with like competition.
Like I don't like it. What if they don't support you? What if you're like constantly hyping people? Oh, so you're balanced. OK, so you're constantly hyping someone up. Yeah. And then they're not hyping you up. That's OK.
OK.
Oh, yeah. It's fine. It's fine. Like you could hype me up more, but it's fine. I'm going to hype you up more. So let's talk about it. Am I not showing up on Instagram enough?
Um, you could. You could show up a little bit more. You know what? I'm let's just go. Just go. I'm just going to do a bunch of me because that I am not that girl. I need to be.
Basically, it's very complex being a human. I don't like this photo. I literally looked at it and loved every photo. Your engagement on Instagram. Also, you better have because I'm a hype woman. You're a hype.
By the way, real time. Flames, flames, flames. Let me just do two more. Oh, I did. I did. House of Stassi. Brooks Nader's counting down. I'm counting down. Oh, my God. I didn't like this either. This is honestly unacceptable.
I just always assumed that you're picky with your likes and I respect that in people. I only want to like something that it that you feel inspired by. So, like, I get that that's somebody else's social media journey. So that's why I don't take it. I hate that.
I don't take it personally.
I don't take it personally when you're not liking my things or commenting. I'm just like, oh, that's not her social media journey.
You know what? You are an extreme. I'm literally OK. I just went all the way back to Sports Illustrated. I did like two out of the seven. I just like like previously. So thank God. I really need a reciprocal relationship at this point. But now I'm realizing as I'm talking to you.
You're not giving that I'm not giving. So who the fuck am I talking all this fucking bullshit? OK. Queen Bees. I want to talk about how we went from Amazing Race to Queen Bees. I just I really need to tell you because I want to get into it.
Let's get into our reality TV history and how it shaped us. OK. So Queen Bees. I was cast on it for the person who cast Amazing Race. I had just moved out to L.A. for college and Loyola Marymount University. Yes. Go what? I don't know. OK. Go L. I'm not really like I wasn't in a sorority. I don't I'm there for school. And that's it. Like, did you graduate? Yeah. Oh, you're like gorgeous and smart. OK. Keep going.
OK. So Queen Bees. I don't know. OK. Keep going.
Like a whole month. And we were being filmed for a month, like 24 seven. Did you know any of the girls that were on the show? No, no. How long did the show last? We filmed it for a month. And I don't know. They probably got like eight episodes out of it. And it was on the network. And it's still OK. Yeah. I didn't even know you did that. Yeah. OK. So post Queen Bees. What are we doing? What is the Vanderpump? How did we start Vanderpump? I was literally working at Sir. I was working at Sir. And what were you trying to do for a job besides Sir at that point? Were you just like, I'm paying my bills right now.
I was fashion blogging. Oh, that is fucking right, bitch. What was it called? What was it called? I wrote for Pandora Vanderpump's like they had a website called Dose of Divine. Oh, my God. Yeah. Dose of Divine. And I was. You could have done Style by Stassi or something. I could eventually do that. I eventually had my own style. I think that's exactly what it was called. Good. Style by Stassi. And I was interning at a production company reading scripts and like reporting on.
And stuff like that. So like I knew I wanted to be in like the writing space. I knew I loved clothes. So I was just like trying to like figure out like how do I combine all that shit together. Yeah. Yes. That was like our era, though. Yeah. Are you kidding? Yeah. Full on. Badly. But I did it. I mean, I just like kind of wrote stories. OK, wait. No, it's not about me. It's about you. It's also about you. No, no. Tune in because they love Morgan Stewart. Well, somebody told me a few weeks ago that I talk too much about myself. And I was like, you're right. I really do need to talk about other things. And then I then
my last episode I recorded, I was like, well, no, then just don't watch this show. Don't also don't listen to comments. It was no, it was it was somebody I really respect and admire. And she was giving legit feedback of like you got it, you know, just like maybe go into the pop culture world a bit more. And I realized that like it's just so different than TV, like TV. They were like feeding me exactly what I was going to talk about, like whatever it was. But I don't want to like I don't care about a lot of this stuff anymore in terms of like pop culture. I do. It's so fun. Are you watching Love Island? Wait, no, no, no, no, no. OK, we need to just
hit this because everyone's going to get mad at me if we don't. Guys, they're going to get mad at me.
OK, so so we're working at Sir. And then what happens? Bravo shows up one day.
Yeah, because Lisa Vanderpump was already on Beverly Hills Housewife.
I don't know. Whatever.
Time for Lisa Vanderpump.
She's amazing.
And the face.
No, it's incredible. And she says she's had no work done.
And I love her. OK, Lisa.
Sure.
I'm like, OK, anyway.
No, she's the best. And one day they were like, we need a staff meeting, which we thought was just
about like serving or whatever, like we were in trouble for something. And it ended up being
some producers. And they were like, we want to do a show about the staff here. And if you
want to be on it and you want to be interviewed, wait around and we'll interview you.
And half the staff left because they wanted to be real thespian actors.
Right. Yeah, yeah, yeah.
And half the people stayed. And I was the last person to go. And by the time I went and sat
down with them, they were like, you don't even need to say anything. Like, we know everything
about you.
And like, you're good. And I'm like, OK.
And so was was the cast, the original cast also like all working at Sir at that time?
Yeah.
And so I mean, I got Jax's job because I was like, I have this hot boyfriend.
How did you meet Jax? We don't need to get into that very. That's just like a quick tidbit.
Oh, at Project in Vegas, we were both doing fit modeling. LOL.
I mean, you were both like still are gorge. Like it was like a hot pairing. Like, I don't care.
You're gorge. And I don't know anything about that man.
We don't need to talk about him.
Let's just move on. Let's move on.
Yeah.
Yeah.
OK, so you this is literally in the cards for you. Like, you were always meant to be
on TV.
It feels like destiny.
It definitely does.
Yeah.
OK, so you did Vanderpump. How many seasons?
Eight.
Eight seasons of Vanderpump?
Yeah.
Did they bump you up week like check to check? I hope they fucking did.
Oh, the first two seasons we made nothing.
Like four dollars.
I was still poor.
Yeah.
Yeah.
Yeah.
Of course.
And I remember season three, I think like I got a check, like my first initial check
was like twenty five thousand dollars. I was like, oh, my God, I made it.
Yeah, I made it.
But no, it wasn't until like four.
Or season four, we started making like substantial, a good amount of money.
You were like, I'm not doing this unless you pay me.
Yeah.
A hundred percent. Eight seasons. Then you're done. And then you basically had babies.
I had babies.
How did you meet Bo?
Kristen and Katie from Vanderpump Rules kept trying to hook us up.
What was he doing at the time?
Casting.
Casting. OK, so you met and then was it an initial? Tell me about your love story with
Bo.
Well, it's funny because he saw my Instagram and said no at first.
Bo, sweetie, we love you.
So you saying no is hilarious.
It's hilarious.
So nowadays he's like, he thought this girl isn't going to like me.
OK, good.
Well, let's start with that.
Not like I'm not.
Let's start there.
This girl is really hot. She's this blonde, big boobed, like.
Blue eyed, gorgeous queen.
She's probably like goes to the clubs and like, do you know what I mean?
Like, she's not going to be into me. Like, he's fully like tatted up.
He wore overalls every day. Like, he's like a little, you know, he's a little, I wouldn't
say hipster. He's alternative.
I get that.
I think alternative.
I think alternative. I don't think quirky.
He's quirky.
- Quirky.
- Is he quirky?
- Yeah.
I get, like, just normal nice dude.
Like, I feel like every normal nice dude has a tattoo or two.
Okay, well, he's a trillion.
My husband is a coloring book of tattoos.
Yes.
I never thought I was going to be with a man with tattoos.
I was like, he's wearing Loro Piano.
Like, he's not wearing tattoos.
Yes.
So he didn't think that I would be interested.
And then Kristen Doty had this party at her house,
and she was like, come over, he's here.
And so I was like, ugh, fine, okay.
And I came, and I won him over with my sparkling personality.
It took two seconds.
It took two seconds.
Okay, and then you went on a date?
Then we went on a date.
Where was the date?
Well, first we went to Sky Bar, a group thing at Sky Bar.
Whoa, Sky Bar?
And then we went on a proper date.
He took me to a tapas place on Sunset.
And did you know?
Um, no, actually.
Okay, so you walked me through that.
No, it wasn't like this, like, love at first sight thing.
Okay, how many?
It took us a while.
We casually dated each other,
because I had just gotten out of a relationship.
And so I was not,
trying to. Be serious.
Yeah, and so we never had that conversation of, like,
we're, you know,
and it took, like,
I would say, like, five months.
Of dating?
Were you dating other people during this time?
Yeah.
And he was, too?
Probably not.
Yes, I think he was.
Sure.
Like, I know that he had hooked up with, like,
his ex-girlfriend,
because he, like, came clean and told me that.
And I was like. Am I serious at Beau right now?
No, that made me, like,
love him so much more,
because I'm like,
you didn't have to be honest about that.
Oh, he won you over, yeah.
And I was like that.
I was like,
the fact that you were just honest about something
that, like, you didn't have to tell me
just made me realize,
oh, I can trust you.
And that was one of the moments
where I was just like,
I really like this guy.
Yeah, it took time.
I felt really safe.
I ended up feeling really safe with him.
Yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, of course.
Yeah.
Okay, so five months,
and then how long did you date
before you got engaged?
A year and a half.
And then you got pregnant
after you got married?
No.
See, no one did, right?
No.
Who has time for that?
Because we were in COVID.
It was during COVID,
and our wedding was scheduled
for that October.
Oh, hello.
And we didn't know
whether it was going to happen,
and I was like,
listen, I know that I want to be a mom
over a wedding anyway.
Right.
So, like, let's prioritize that right now.
And we had Hartford, yeah.
And then I got married,
technically, legally,
at my backyard baby shower.
And it was so. Cute.
Not cute.
But your wedding was really. My wedding was stunning.
Gorgeous.
Your dress was stunning.
You were very blonde then.
Yes, I was bridal blonde.
Bridal blonde, which I. It's weird because I feel like
I don't remember you
before this hair color now,
but now thinking back to those images
that I definitely liked. And I'm so glad I did bridal blonde.
You did. Okay, you're happy with that?
Yes.
Like, I don't think
I would have popped as much
with this hair color
on my wedding day.
You would have.
Who made your dress?
Galia Lahav.
Gorgeous.
Thank you.
It was like,
what was. It was dreamy.
It was very dreamy.
It was sweetheart,
but, like,
these billowy. It was perfect.
Period PCC,
like, sleeves
that just, like,
hung off.
It was just, like,
it was a dream.
A dream.
Okay, and then you had Messer when?
And then I had Messer in 2023,
so two years,
two and a half years later.
So we had kids the exact. No, we line up.
The fact that, like,
I don't know,
I don't think you've given it
this much thought,
but, like,
our lives are. There's, like,
so many things
and so many parallels.
Tell me, tell me,
because when we. When you were doing Vanderpump
and I was doing, I guess,
Rich Kids at that time,
we had not met, right?
Please tell me.
We met at, like, parties
and I didn't think you liked me.
Is this for sure?
I just didn't think that. Was I not friendly?
You just. No, you just, like,
kept to. You just. I made it a point to. Do you remember which party?
There was one at Sunset Tower.
Guys, I am so nice,
I swear to God.
I swear.
No, you are.
I think I softened.
You are
incredible.
Incredibly nice.
Like, anyone who asks about you,
I'm, like,
I'm, like, this. No.
Wait, are people
asking about me?
Of course.
Influencers talk and ask
about other influencers
all the time.
Talk?
Like, what do you mean talk?
You'd all have a freakout.
I'm. Oh, can I tell you?
Do you not feel this way?
I feel like if I say
or do anything,
no one is paying attention.
I am.
No, you. No, I don't mean that. I'm there to support you.
No, no, I don't mean, like,
as a woe is me.
I mean, like,
do you ever feel like
people aren't paying
as close of attention
on you?
Okay.
I don't know, actually.
I don't think
I've thought about it.
Oh, okay.
I have so much time.
Like, I. Like, I'll literally. I have a best friend
in my life,
and she'll be like,
don't tell people that.
I'm like,
who the fuck gives a shit
about that?
And then I'll hear
other people hearing about it,
and I'm like,
oh, they cared about that?
Like, I feel like
I have to keep
everything quite quiet,
and I am so C-minus list
that, like, I'm like,
why do people give a shit?
You are not C-minus list.
Stop.
You are Morgan fucking Stewart.
Love you.
And this is not about me,
but we're not, like. Do you know what I'm saying?
Like, people. I am. If you. I'm not, like, globally known.
You're globally known
because. No.
Okay, so. No.
Yes.
No.
Your show airs
in different places.
Right, but, like. Wait, okay,
I don't know where we're going.
I want to talk about Sunset Tower.
What party was it,
and how was I not nice?
I don't know.
It's not that you were never rude.
Okay.
You just, like,
didn't care to carry
on the conversation,
which is, like, fine.
You were probably
with your friends.
And I was probably
just, like, being annoying.
Like, hi, I'm Stassi.
So, okay, wait.
I love that we met,
but we weren't. We didn't. When did we, like,
come together?
I think via social media
during COVID.
I think, like. Good.
Like, you know,
like, the parasocial,
like, relationship
where, like, we, like,
had that. Yeah.
Okay.
I think that is when. What month did you get
pregnant with Heartbird?
I found out
May 5th,
or May 4th,
May the 4th,
May the 4th be with you.
Oh, my God.
Why were we doing that?
May 4th.
Are we okay?
The team's cracking.
They're cracking up.
Wait, so. May 4th.
So, May. Did you see it?
Thank you.
May 4th.
I found out
that I was pregnant
with Ro
like June,
early June.
So, I got pregnant
in May on my birthday.
So, we have two Aquarius?
No, Capricorn.
I have a Capricorn.
What is. First of all,
I have to tell you about
Ro asks about Heartbird
every week
because her thing. Okay, let's. First of all, go ahead.
That's so sweet.
She's constantly like,
is Heartbird older than me?
Because I said to her,
we're going to go
to my friend Stassi's
baby's birthday party.
Heartbird,
she loves K-pop
because Ro's a little bit
shy at first.
Yeah.
And ever since then,
she's obsessed
with Heartbird.
And we. No, and we should do
something with the girls.
You know, we. We really need to.
We need to not say it.
And do it.
We need to actually do it.
She's constantly. Because there's a girl
in her school called Harlow
and sometimes I fuck up
her name and say Heartbird,
which I don't know why
because I'm so braindead.
Love that for Heartbird.
And I literally. And she's always like,
is Heartbird older than me?
And I'm like,
these blue. And also,
everyone thinks the girls
look so much alike.
They do look alike.
They do look alike.
They both look like
they came out of you.
Yeah.
They don't look like
they came out of me.
Ro's mine.
Literally.
Yeah.
She does not have. We're not the same coloring.
No, not at all.
Not at all.
Like, she looks like me
more than people realize.
No, when you post photos
of yourself as a kid. You see it.
I see it.
But like. It's not.
That's the only way I see it.
I know.
She's very blue-eyed.
Okay, so,
Heartbird's birthday is what?
January?
January 7th.
Okay.
Ro's February 16th.
So we literally had. And then I had Gray.
Right.
And then you had Gray.
And then I had Messer.
And then. Messer's so cute.
He really is.
He's beautiful, that boy.
He needs. I'm sorry.
He needs an ugly face, though.
He will.
13, maybe?
He's too cocky.
He's gorgeous.
He's smart.
He's funny.
He's stunning.
It's like,
you need to be humbled.
What's his birthday?
September 7th.
Virgo.
Virgo.
Virgo?
And Capricorns,
they are about to. With Gemini rising
and Gemini moon.
I'm scared.
Holy shit.
Thank God I'm not his age.
I'd date him.
Are you out of your mind?
That chart?
Virgo rising,
Virgo moon
is a famous person.
No, no.
That's a famous boy.
Virgo sun.
Virgo sun.
Sorry.
I'm. Gemini rising,
Gemini moon.
Famous person.
tell me about being a mom we love being a mom it's hard we love it it's yeah it's fucking hard
are they fighting mom guilt 24 7 they fight all the time throwing shit hitting each other but
they always like they love each other so much and then they're fucking pulling each other's hair
and hitting each other and it's just like a lot but like they're at a really cute age now where
i look forward to the weekends whereas like i used to dread the weekends because we don't have
a nanny on the weekends so i was like oh my god friday is like hell because like i know that for
two days straight we don't have any any help or anything like that and so i used to dread it yeah
now i've just gotten to the point where now i look forward to it because messer's old enough
to where like and maybe i just don't like the baby face i hated okay it's just like oh my i think if
you have if you are a mother that wants to be completely lost in her children i applaud that
i think that that is
a beautiful thing and you don't really want to go back to sort of like this is your new normal and
you've adapted to it yeah wonderful i was so ready to like get back to a sense of normalcy that like
i loved having roe be small and gray but like it was i of course it's cute snuggly i couldn't do it
for too long no i needed to feel like myself that's why like even with messer i was like i'm
not even breastfeeding you like i'm no i i i mean i not to tell this story again but i had kids
i went to my daughter's first birthday i gave birth to my son that
day so insane that night that is so insane so i literally was on the floor nine months pregnant
at her birthday party gate went to the hospital 12 o'clock that day gave birth so the following
day i gave
birth but i was in the hospital induced i breastfed that boy four times i'm like mommy needs
these back yeah mommy needs these back i your dad needs them you are gonna get formula yeah my
husband was raised on formula in the 80s from texas and he's way smarter than anyone i know
you're gonna be just fucking fine and he's definitely smart row i breastfed for six weeks
i could not i couldn't produce enough i couldn't produce enough that makes me feel better i always
thought well because i had a breast reduction and a breast lift and so like they had to like
take my nipple off and put it back on so it's seven inches higher by the way i'm about to put
them on my back i'm about to fucking yank them up and just place them back there it's the best
it's okay but i'm also i'm gonna do a little but i think i need to do all of it at once because i
literally met with somebody and she was like no filler you need to just lift it back i don't do
any filler i did like three years ago three years ago no yeah i've done filler and i look like a
clown like no yeah yeah yeah but i'm gonna just do
a little bit of filler and then i'm gonna do a little bit of filler and then i'm gonna do a little
deep plane when it's time it's time in two years feels like it's time is it time it feels like
it's time for me i don't know it's not you're one year older than me yeah by the way sis take it out
so you're 38 in a week in a week you're a cancer yeah i don't really like identify as a cancer
what's your rising capricorn oh so you and uh hartford are like soulmates and yeah we both
have scorpio moons oh my god she's gonna wreck you oh no as she is i think like my
soul's purpose yeah i think that she like i feel bad saying that because i'm like not saying that
about messer and like obviously both my kids are my you always love the firstborn and the girl more
there's something i don't know if we were together in like multiple past lives or what it is but
there is something that i can't explain that connects us and listen she like she came out of
the womb i mean and literally side-eyed me like she did not like she was like oh no not you oh no not you like that's the energy
that i got do you know what i mean like and i'm like what did i do in a past life or something i
don't know what this is like i know this isn't personal it's not my fault like i'm not parenting
poorly like she literally came out and i felt that energy and it's been like that her whole life and
i see this like weird push and pull with her where she wants to be like all cuddly and on me
and then it's like she still turns on you she turns on you and she's she like looks at me and
she's like confused as to like why something's pulling her and i just feel like
we have past life she even said to me one time it was like recently i was like getting her out of the
bath and like hugging her and she was like she was like i love you so much and you're my favorite
person but sometimes my brain doesn't like you why and i was like that's okay it's a really
intelligent way to put that i don't think adults say things it was so crazy and i was like i know
you feel that way i see it i see it in your face i see it your wheels turning i'm like that's okay
like you have feelings that you can't explain like i got it
got you scorpio moon we understand each other also just like our emotions i understand her
emotions because of my scorpio moon that like i don't know i just feel like she is my i'm here
part of my purpose is to do something for her you're here to be there for her yeah that is
profound and i fully believe in that somebody actually sent me a random reading the other
day this like psychic that wants to come on the show and he's like i just want to let you know
this is not the first lifetime with your mom and so
that's probably what you're experiencing with hartford i really do believe that and and i think
you also like obviously being their mothers like even with row i see through to her where like row
is sassy cute she's sassy and like very strong and i didn't get stronger until later so i'm like
maybe that's because of me but to the point where it's like borderline a little disrespectful but
i can tell she's so flustered that she doesn't know how to express herself and part of my purpose
is allowing her to have to be that safe space to just totally just
totally beat me up if you need to and i do have a hard time of being like bro you cannot talk to
me like that way but i'm like but you need to and i'm the only one that's gonna let you yes so you
just i just got to take it on the chin kind of she's very very like you feel the fire in row yeah
and you don't want to like put that out no i don't like foster that and nurture it and like
find a way to like so that she like carries that with her yeah because you this life is not easy
and people are not nice yes and the girls are going to go through i'm gonna have a nervous
breakdown probably i'm gonna have a nervous breakdown i'm gonna have a nervous breakdown
probably but like that like mean girl shit i mean i guess i was kind of the mean i feel like you were
the mean girl but i wasn't although i might have been the mean girl and i just don't know because
i don't i was never bullied and so normally i was never bullied if you're never bullied then maybe
you're the problem you're the you're the one i just i don't remember being mean to people ever
but no one was ever mean to me or was that just like a different time like now we also didn't
have social media like the social media thing is like really scary yeah yeah i choose to be mean
i choose not to like linger and think about that one yeah because i also barely can handle it in my
old ass age so really i can hand i can handle what bad things are people saying about you no
nothing but like don't you feel like it's unnatural to be in a place where people are constantly like
you have to have a very specific dna to be at a level that's like above like you're like in terms
of like fame above like if you're gonna be kim you need to have another layer of kryptonite because
i would not be able to
to get high i just care too much about feeling disrupted i don't want to feel disrupted in any
way i get that and like listen i think i'm pretty good at taking criticism and taking you know the
comments and not living in it and then i think of like oh i just did sports illustrated i spent the
night crying because of my comments so i wanted to ask you about that like so i'm like so sometimes
i can't handle it it's yeah i i know what i'm saying
like it's not first of all i think the hardest thing for me or somebody like me in this position
or you where there's a narrative out in the world that's not true but you're in a position that you
cannot speak about whatever it is it could be anything but even the smallest thing and you're
kind of like how are you so far off the mark about that like how the fuck have you formulated an
entire opinion that has been adapted as truth people think it and get to engage it makes me
want to pop off that that infuriates me because everything
always gets boiled down to a fucking headline yeah it's a headline right now the headline gets
turned into a different headline that gets turned into a different headline and then there's this
whole new story and narrative that has shape-shifted multiple times yes yes and it's not true but
people see it take it as truth and they carry it they store it in their brain whether they realize
it or not like they're somewhere they're memory like remembering it and then it informs the way
that they feel about you even though they don't even know what it is and it's like yeah that's
that's just fucking life that's love that's life you're right and that's the other thing though
also like that is first of all very well put but then i think i see things online all day long as
i'm sure you do as well and then you forget i don't even think about it so then i remind myself
it does inform you don't realize that your brain is storing all that information even though you
think you're forgetting it you're not and then you wonder why like you see a photo of someone
you're like i don't like that person but i don't know why it's because you have read something or
read it and it's like there somewhere and it's that's why you don't like that person
i'm gonna take a sip of water i'm gonna take a sip of water i sound like a conspiracy theorist
although i love conspiracy theories did we land on the moon um i ask bo that all the time so do i
did we i can't figure it out because jordan says no way jose okay i like that jordan says no way
he says nope we did yes and i and it confuses me but why haven't we been back why are we not
because there's no reason and it's a lot of money and it's a lot of money and it's a lot of money
we're spending a lot of money on a lot of shit we had a whole ufc it didn't happen i don't know if
it happened i don't know i don't think it did i don't think it did do you think it did i just the
the main thing for me i think we've been there since yeah how did they get that like reality tv
footage all the way back all the way back there also and i'm like were we planting the mtv flag
on it like i didn't i was like did we make that up or was that what happened pretty sure who
i don't know mtv took that was that jfk i feel like we would know if it was jfk lyndon b johnson
it was right fucking leave that in that i knew that american history but i yeah that was
impressive that was impressive work right there thank you richard nixon was president okay moon
landing but it was i didn't even know jfk who set the initial goal you know that is my that's my
gemini man i knew he was gonna do it i love jfk i wish he was in office longer um i really do
but the sun really do you believe in the sun
the maryland monroe conspiracy theory government killed her yeah just so weird i was talking to my
husband yesterday in the kitchen about this so that why didn't you just bring that if you're a
fan of jfk i think the government killed her she was also a gemini sorry june though um he killed
her yeah because she was fucking both those brothers yeah i think that she was gonna she was
she was gonna go out and like talk about things and i think she was at the end of her rope yeah
thank you so you think they like had somebody give her too many pills or like what happened um
i'm not exactly sure
how the murder was done i just know it was done and the pills were then scattered everywhere
like who scatters pills before they die right she didn't throw them she wasn't like acting with
humphrey bogart and then threw the pill yeah it's like oh my god they killed her they definitely did
that is ruining my day i'm so upset i am upset about that she was only 36 yeah and her body
went missing i'm not this will get dark her body went missing for a while did it
mm-hmm people say that like people did bad things i've heard
and you know the-
- We can-
- To end on the darkest part,
she's buried close to my dad.
- Really?
Yeah, they're in the same place.
Wow.
So, like, after I visit him, I'm like, what's up, Marilyn?
You just hop over to Marilyn?
And she's born above Hugh Hefner.
And there's that guy on top of her.
What in the literal fuck?
That shouldn't have been allowed.
No.
We've really gone a lot of places today.
I know.
And you know what I'm doing in my head?
I'm like, Marilyn's so crazy.
How did Stassi feel about Sports Illustrated?
First of all, tell me.
This has to wait till July.
I have bad episodes lined up.
No one's going to care about Sports Illustrated because it's going to be, like, too—
No, but you—
It will be in the past.
First of all, A, when I saw it, I was like, everyone looks so hot, and why am I not doing that?
You should be doing that.
Okay.
I'm going to send a voice note after.
You have the bod, and they would be thrilled to have you.
Well, people say I have Spongebob Squarepants body.
Are you reading those comments?
And a flat ass.
Are you—
Which I do.
What's a fake tan regimen?
Did you get your own, or did they supply it?
So this was what was so fucked up.
I got my own tan, set out to Dolce Glow, and then I got—
A lymphatic, but I—
No, girl, you can't do lymphatic.
I didn't think about the fact that she wrapped me up in one of those, like, heating burrito things, so I sweat the tan off.
Lo, I blame you.
That's not okay.
That's not okay.
Come on.
I would—
Why didn't you call me?
I sweat the tan off, and then I didn't realize it until, like, right before we were supposed to go, like, backstage.
I looked at my stomach.
I'm like, why the fuck is that pale?
And so Carly had to just completely put body makeup all over me last minute.
Yeah.
But everyone's tan was equally, like, bombshell bronzy.
Yeah.
That was makeup.
So you read the comments.
You read the comments after?
Yeah, it was really stupid.
Well, because last year, everyone was hyping me up, and, like, I know better.
Because I've always been like, if you're going to believe the good comments, then that means you have to believe the bad ones, because they carry equal amounts of weight.
They don't.
Those people aren't real.
Do you know the people that are commenting those things?
They could never get on that runway.
The runway would be warped.
Yeah.
Like, the way I delivered warped.
No, I know.
But—
I'm so funny.
Thank God I'm feeling light today.
Everyone just was, like, really positive about me last time, and they're like, you're so hot.
I can't believe you're a mom of two, blah, blah, blah.
So I wanted to just, like, feel that rush of praise again.
Yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah.
And I didn't get it.
You didn't get it.
No.
You know what I'm going to do after this episode?
I'm about to fucking like all that shit, because that's crazy.
And I'm sure it's there, but there were a lot of people, like, fighting in the comments section, being like, wow, this comments section is so mean.
And I'm like, what's happening?
Oh, no.
Oh, SpongeBob SquarePants noted.
No.
Which is not true.
It's just, like, factually not true.
I am a little rectangular-shaped, and that's fine.
I don't have a tiny waist.
It doesn't go in like yours.
Like, where you say you have shape.
How tall are you?
5'7".
Yeah, I'm 5'5".
On the dot, though, everyone thinks I'm 5'7".
I'm, like, shorter than people think.
I'm pretty sure I'm 5'6".
You're definitely 5'7".
Okay.
We'll measure after.
Tell me about House of Stassi, because we're literally running out of time, because we've talked so much.
I don't want to leave.
I don't want you to leave ever.
You can come back any time.
I want to know about filming the show, and what people—I was going to say, what can fans expect?
Am I okay?
And I'm not going to say that.
I couldn't even say it, because I was—
Yeah, because it's just so cheesy.
I was crazy, but I do want to know about the show.
We had the best time.
Don't tell anyone about our scene.
You are a star.
Am I?
Because no one thinks so.
More people—
She's setting me up to talk about me, and I don't like it.
Everyone is sleeping on Morgan Stewart, whoever is, like, saying no to you, okay?
Because, like—and I really, like, say this a lot.
I feel like I'm, like, your number one fan.
Am I creepy?
By the way, I don't have any, so thank you.
You're welcome.
Seriously.
I just think that you are so clever.
You're so—
You're so quick.
Thank you.
And funny and real.
And, like, at the same time, you're incredibly warm.
And, like, kind.
Thank you.
Like, even though, like, when we met at Sunset Tower, whatever, that was, like, 15 years ago.
It doesn't count.
I can't, guys. I'm going to literally bury myself.
But, like, you are an incredibly warm and honest person.
And, like, you like to connect with people.
Like, you're not surface level.
And I think people would think that you are.
I think they do.
Just by looking at you.
Yeah.
And I just think that you are—you are who needs to be on television.
On television.
Like, you need House of Morgan.
Like, I feel, like, fraudulent.
Like, how do I trick everybody into giving me a show when there are talents like you?
You are also very, very, very talented.
You have an aura about you.
People are obsessed with you.
They're fascinated by you.
You're also very real quick and funny.
I—
No, you are.
And there's a groundedness.
And there's also, like, an awareness, too, right?
Like, you are not on TV—not you just specifically—but anybody is not just on TV for, like, 10-plus years by accident.
Like, there's very few people—
There's very few people that maintain that.
Like, do you ever think about, like, the span of time you have spent on television?
Is more than half my life.
Yeah.
That's—I guess I'm the same, but it's—that only happens to, like, a handful of people.
Yeah, I guess I just, like, really at my core feel incredibly basic.
So, like—
Which I think is great.
But I think those are always the people that rise to the top because I deal with people, like, parasocial relationships that, like, they're just on the rise and then all of a sudden they get way too cool.
I'm like, girl, you've been here five minutes, bitch.
Oh, yes.
Call me in 11 years.
We could have a—oh, yeah.
Call me in 11 years.
You're having four minutes because you sold the top.
So, look, okay.
So, I think that that's why I'm not a fucking weirdo.
Yeah.
Because I've done this for so long and I've never had, like, overnight success.
Like, so, like, I've had, like, little tastes of, like—when I was on The Amazing Race, I'm like, oh, people in my, you know—
Neighborhood.
In New Orleans, like, are watching this and they know who—so I had a little taste of, like, fame.
And then I did Queen Bees and, like, people—
People would, like, say something about it.
So, like, a little bit more taste of fame.
And, like, when I would go back home to New Orleans, I felt, like, cool.
A hundred percent.
You know what I mean?
So, I was, like, slowly always just, like, getting a little more famous and a little more successful.
But it wasn't, like, meteoric.
No.
And same with me.
To the point where I don't even feel that—
Rush.
Well-known.
I don't feel that famous.
I don't feel that, like—I feel successful, but I don't feel, like—
Like, that many people know me.
I don't know.
Like, so, it was never overnight.
And I think that's why I can remain the way that I am.
Because—
Yes.
I have met so many—yes.
So many influencers and people who had that overnight success.
And I'm, like—
It's always very important to remain humble.
And I do believe that when you hear, like, the most famous people in the world are always the nicest.
Yeah.
Because they don't buy into their own shit.
And this is what we do, ultimately, as a job.
It's a job.
It's a job.
Yes.
It's not a personality.
We are this way.
We have been fortunate enough to have these opportunities come our way.
But we are not, like—I do not think that I am better than anybody.
Yeah.
I think I'm funnier than a lot of people.
You are.
And better dressed.
And, like, other things.
But I don't think I'm better as a human than a lot of people.
Right?
And I don't treat people less than because of anything.
Yeah.
And I think that that is very important.
And that is what rises to the top and keeps staying consistent.
And that is why you've had so many different opportunities.
And we'll continue to do that.
And we'll continue to.
And I think House of Stassi, I think you're in for an awakening.
Because I think people are going to be like, holy shit, she's back on TV.
Here we fucking go again.
I'm so nervous because it's so different than, like, anything I've seen on reality TV.
Like, we break the fourth wall and acknowledge the show so much.
It's nothing I love more.
Nothing I love more.
So much.
So I'm like, people are either going to be obsessed with this or they're going to be
like, I'm not used to Stassi being like this.
I'm malfunctioning.
I don't like it.
Like, so I feel like it'll be—there's going to be no in the middle.
It'll be like—
I want that.
This is fresh and new.
This is fresh and new and innovative and cool and different or, like, we want Bravo Stassi.
No.
Well, you're not getting Bravo Stassi.
And also, nobody wants that anymore.
Like, those, like, housewives, like, people want to know what's really going on.
This sort of, like, set-up scene of, like, hey, I'm calling my girlfriend.
Do you want to go to the Bahamas because I'm taking a trip because I lost a diamond ear?
Like, that shit is not working anymore.
Like, that formulaic bullshit is not playing.
So I'm fucking excited.
Tell—give us a little—this is airing the day you air.
But, like, I don't know.
Give us a little teasey.
Like, what are you—
Like, what are we going to see?
We're going to see you and I chat, which was a good scene.
Yeah.
I mean, you're going to see a lot of my relationship.
I think people are going to be surprised because I am an executive producer.
Oh, clock it, bitch.
I think people would be like, why didn't you get this edited out?
Like, I leave in the ugly moments.
Kim wouldn't.
Kim wouldn't.
And you know what Kim is doing?
She's picking trims on a plane.
She's flying her ass everywhere.
What the fuck does that mean, picking trims?
On her plane.
Like, she's picking her trims.
Like, her chairs.
Like, she's literally decorating a plane.
That she's paid for for herself.
God.
Okay, you fly private.
So, like, I don't—
But not that often.
Not that often.
So, like, I didn't know that it was called picking trims.
Well, like, you know, picking trims for, like, a house.
This is not about me.
Not about me.
This is about you.
Okay?
And you know what I'm thinking?
I'm thinking I'm obsessed with you.
You have to come back any fucking time.
This interview was four minutes.
Will you please come back?
Yes.
Literally any—
Maybe we should do a Met Gala.
That's in a year from now.
But, like, maybe—
See, like, I don't know about fashion.
I just admire it.
No.
I love that you know.
I don't really know.
About—yes, you do.
No, I don't really know.
Your critiques are always—I'm like, wow, her brain works in such an interesting way.
Like, I wouldn't ever think that.
We can pull—I'm high-tech here, so what we could do when we have, like, the Grammys
or whatever comes—what comes for next?
You know what?
Let's do it.
Because you give, like, fashion expert, and I give just your everyday basic gal in—
They're coming up.
In America.
So, like, my opinions matter, too, in a different way.
Okay, I love you.
I'm so happy you came.
I'm going to like all of your Instagram photos forever.
Thanks.
