A deep dive into cultural and emotional dynamics reveals how subtle biases—like the dominance of lemon in pop culture—have been challenged by new movements, such as 7UP’s lime-lemon soda. The narrative centers on personal growth, family bonds, and emotional reactions during live performances, where a standout dance earns critical acclaim and deepens connections between the host and audience. Online reactions to such moments are explored, highlighting a shift from passive viewers to hyper-critical participants, revealing the emotional toll of digital scrutiny. The conversation also touches on authenticity, with real-life interactions—like a fan letter to the host and a moment of vulnerability during a fan meeting—emphasizing human connection over online performance. A discussion about the "Glee" reboot reflects broader concerns about reboots and cultural trends, with skepticism about whether new iterations can live up to legacy. The episode underscores the importance of empathy, community, and emotional honesty in a world increasingly shaped by digital voices. Ultimately, it celebrates the power of genuine human experiences—both in performance and in personal life—as a counterbalance to online polarization and performative criticism.

Yes, Shirley Ballas was there.

Yeah, it was an amazing thing to have a contemporary.
- I didn't miss a beat though, to be frank.

- No.
- It's amazing.
- No.

But can I tell you mindset shift for me?
- Please.
- Was I felt so good about this dance that I came
to terms with going home.
And I was like, I'm okay with that.
- I've still won.
- Yeah, I won week one.

I still wasn't expecting a 10.
And when they were giving feedback,
I'm Pavlov dog trained to wait for the butt.
- Yup.
- You know, so I'm--
- You're waiting for the beat to drop.
- Just like, thank you, thank you, thank you.
And then when there wasn't a butt
at the end of the feedback,
that's when I would get excited.
- Yeah.
- When their comment would end,
go to the next one, I'm like--
- When their comment would end, yeah.
- Yeah, that's why, oh my God.
So that was awesome.
- Carrie Ann called you the king of contemporary.
- Yeah.
Wasn't on camera is that I fell to my knees
when she said that.
And I really regret falling to my knees.
It's like stand up and look up in the air.
- I think that the longer that the show goes on,
the more people are like not able to control their reactions.
Like people are having really emotional reactions on camera.
- Yeah.
- You know, and it's a joy to watch everyone feel
that deeply.
- That was fun. - You know?
It was really fun.
- So, I mean, I was just so stoked to be there.

- Nice to be barefoot.
- We couldn't see you because that was the only,
you were the only dance we couldn't see.
- Yeah, well--

Hi, holy shit.
- Yeah.
- Like it was so good, Connor.
- Thank you. - The way that you--
you cleared the couch with that jump, I would think you've been
doing gymnastics since you could walk yeah well i had to practice that one million times this week
the jump the jump has for whatever reason been like really polarizing for people online
but it was something that took a lot of practice and it is like a it's like a trained
dance jump that's usually assisted by your pro a butterfly but this one was called something else
and can i look it up yeah i would love you to do you think like if i said like can
do the lift with me you could do it yeah okay um for sure just one second maybe there's a
tiktok in our future called i want to be lifted i've become so little
don't you think you are tiny too tiny what did you say hang on just give me one second okay
how how does riley choreograph that
like where like does she i just i would be so curious to know her process like does she see
it in her head first or what like how couriering and graphing choreographing a dance to me is like
the most foreign concept like i can't even imagine how someone would begin to start to think about
doing that her brain works in a different way she's a genius it's just like the coolest i want
to talk about it give me like two seconds to look up this word whatever it starts with a j it sounds
like the word rug okay but it's not but anyways that the jump over the couch was like essentially
i was like riley what if you jumped over the couch because we were having trouble figuring
out how she would get behind the couch without just like running because it was very fast the
time and with the camera work there were parts when the camera's over here and that was your
opportunity to get around and be in a different place once they had a wide shot and and she was
like oh my god you're doing that you're gonna do that jump that's when i learned how to do that
so yeah that was that pointing my toe when you point your toes and it's stretched like that and
you're not flexible like i'm not flexible you can't breathe out of your lungs so i was really
scared i was gonna eat shit on the other side of that couch and then it just worked i was like oh
my gosh because that was the hardest i pointed my toes even out of practice because i was like i'm
just gonna send it on this one and if i eat shit i'll just make it part of the thing do a somersault
or something but it worked and i was like so stoked and that a lot of people obviously really liked the
jump and i was like oh my god i'm gonna do that so i was like oh my god i'm gonna do that so i was
like oh my god i'm gonna do that so i was like oh my god i'm gonna do that so i was like oh my god i'm
some people are like i read one comment fuck his jump
we as if i had jumped onto her family
i see his jump yeah what how does a jump how does a jump make you feel
malice i really worry for you i really worry for you and i
if a jump is making you feel that way girl build community girl build community i want you to i want
you to find and seek out community and friends to help you out of this dark dark time in your life
to type that out and press yes actually yeah fuck that jump um yeah i think that
you especially about both of us you know we've been tested the online community
has been testing us in ways that i didn't know human beings could be tested
in ways human beings evolutionarily haven't weren't are not supposed to be tested this is
not god's plan yeah yeah something shifted this is not god's plan culturally outside of god's
original plan which you know he must god had shifted god had shifted but
ultimately this is all part of his plan and our plan makes him what laugh laugh right
what had shifted and a shift i've noticed online is that we have gone from being spectators to being
experts everyone's an expert you know what i mean it's just like everyone has something to say
this dance this move is bad send them home not like and it goes like it's across everything like
it's always worst case scenario and everyone's very polarized it's not like it's not like constructive
interactions between two people right and everyone feels i don't know if it's entitlement but it's
something very very strange that's a good word it's hard to know that there's just like so many
abnormal people out there and it's like where are you where do you live are you walking among us
there's so many i know there's it's it's hundreds and hundreds and i don't i don't have a good
concept of numbers but like it's could it be millions like i don't it's it's millions like i
think it's easily millions yeah like am i passing them on the street oh for sure i do think most of
them are probably do you think that they present typical in their yeah i do think that phones
then this is not new information phone between phones and synthetic weed we are creating a new
state of mind that is not and not been around before but i'm synthetic weed did i say that
yes we are creating
for lack of a better word people that see a reality that does not exist
and they themselves on my phone 100 of the time with my synthetic weed you have a really good
community brooke and people around you that you you talk to before you press send you know what
you're right yeah because actually earlier today almost even an hour ago i was about to press
yeah i remember that my friend connor said let's let's pause yeah let's cool

to I have to itch my nose okay we never have addressed no I don't think we need to start now
it's like in my nostrils yeah right
yeah you're allowed to do that I know that I know that yeah hell if I know that
so anything you can tell us for next week I think so yeah we are doing a waltz
did you already do a waltz we did a Viennese waltz so what's the big what's the difference
um Viennese waltz is faster I like when you slow it down yeah this is a this is a slower dance but
it's gorgeous I always think of the emcee at a bar mitzvah saying now we're going to slow things
down yeah yeah it's really gorgeous it is to the film Tangled or from the film Tangled
which is amazing I've got some I will be stepping into the role of Flynn Rider for the evening
which freaking awesome by the way yeah thank you thank you I mean my shoes that I have to fill are
from our from our Ken Milo well we haven't seen his Flynn yet so technically your day
your debut Flynn I'm soft launching his Flynn yeah you're waltzing so he can who know we don't
know yet we don't know we don't know what he might do yet I know what he will do I'm really excited
um yeah
it's I love I love Flynn is like one of the hottest Disney princes I'll say that I watched
the film again I did a refresher last night just an amazing film fabulous Disney did their big one
with Tangled yeah kind of Tangled is really good I feel like that's the most recent like
whoa I mean there's Frozen but that's kind of different yeah I want to say just like I was
thinking last night I'm sitting there watching it the way that if the people of the Tangled
if they had phones like there would be a huge community of people like speaking up and standing
up for Mother Gothel like there would be there would be Mother Gothel stands right now that's
the world if that was today yeah like Trump vibes oh my god yeah yeah I just like I was watching that
I was like you know she's an inherently unwell and evil yeah and in all of these movies and then
today and today's day and age there would be
evil stepmom sympathizers you know well I'm a stepmom and I and these kids exhaust me all day
what I can't I can't ask them to do chore you know like that's what that would be do chore do chore
have you heard of the book Lady Tremaine no I don't know much about it but I know it's like it's
a really popular book and it's told through the evil stepmother's perspective and apparently you
come away from it being like hell yeah yeah I get it so it's interesting um yeah it's yeah
wow I got there independently but that is cool yeah I'm not gonna I know I won't read that yeah
but yeah oh well I feel like we that was a little bit therapeutic and cathartic yeah could you say
anything about your group dance I don't know this is you had this is what you were practicing
all day right so well yesterday also for context this is kind of just cool information
to know like we finished the show at and there was like a mid-season party hosted by Julian and
Alfonso afterwards so I got home around midnight and then practice was at 9 a.m for group practice
we filmed kind of like some of the package for the show and then I had rehearsal solo for our
other dance from 4 to 8 p.m so that's just like it's two dance week so our group dance is so awesome
it's so awesome
people will die I'm so I personally will die I wish I think that I can share that because it's
I'm sure Andy blasted it out can I say okay I'm just gonna say it
we might first of all my team is my wig falling off no okay is it heavy it's oh absolutely
am I hunched no you're not hunched
you've never not you've never been less hunched oh me however man I can I can the guy hunch yeah
no I mean I'm a hunched person and don't call yourself that don't say that about my friend
I can call myself a hunched person you can't call yourself a hunched person really that in front of
me do not do that in front of girl pick this up you drop this I couldn't fit a crown on my head
I don't you can't that would could you think
does that fit that's actually like your hunched head up queen you dropped this the princess and
the pea like this is actually the weight of this crown is on it like oh I can't bear it on my on my
neck thank you my mom got you this this uh massive mirror ball by the way no she didn't she is the
queen of buying crap so like just like random stuff will show up at my door every week and
I'm like your pillow case size package of wasabi peas exactly just like everything and I'm like
I my mom I love you so much her love language is is gift-giving but like I don't have room for like
this thousand pound teddy bear like I just like it's just like stuff so she's like send me Connors
address I have something to send them I say how about you send it to me first I'd be sending me
first so you would have had this mirror bottle just kind of bring from bring from New York and
LA and and back and stuff so I think we can keep it here I think we can keep it here and yeah that's
true another thing for another tchotchke yeah so that's good that's awesome thank you my mom thanks
my mom um I was gonna oh the group dance sorry how do we go oh hunch I've got a hunch this end
is gonna be amazing I'm say the dance say the what you're dancing to well first of all my group
Ezra Freck Harry Shum still haven't met him oh you will I hope so and Harry yeah Ezra Freck I've
not met anyone actually I don't think as it turns out well well you do you leave pretty
pretty quick after the show am I not supposed to well we just do press for a little bit and then
that's when everybody kind of talks after should I stay you could if you want to meet people I'll
stay next week okay so it's Ezra Freck Harry Shum Jenna Dewan and Julianne Hough it's a Fritz
Bernays that's the definition look up Fritz Bernays in the dictionary you'll see an image
of Connor Wood Ezra Freck Jenna Dewan and Harry Shum led by Julianne Hough it's so fun I'm
so over the moon if you don't know what the group dancing entails basically we do our group dance
we get a score and it's added to our score and typically historically the losing team
has someone goes home from the losing team historically speaking I will say we've reached
the point now where anyone that goes home will hurt my hurt my heart pretty greatly same so
I don't love that yeah I yeah it's it's to the point it's like
it's more than a show now it's like I see how people get really like
I'm totally you have the bug like when Tyler got emotional I was like I really get like I
yeah I get that like I'm not taking any Tyler slander like I get why he was so upset like
it's devastating yeah yeah you I mean you're putting so much in this this is really seriously
like all I think about I know it's all I think about so
I can't even imagine like being on the show no yeah dance is life dance is life dance is life
me on my way to dance be like yeah yeah any other dancing stuff no are you sure no we have it it's
it's it will be a lovely beautiful dance I'm already excited really did want to get to Disney
night like that was my goal what's are you allowed to tell us like what's that like what's after
Disney night do you know or you're not allowed to tell us
I think you can I think it's public info or no yeah the themes are public info but I don't
remember Izzy do you remember what it and I'm looking it up let me see
also did you know that people are comparing your Halloween dance to Milo and Whitney's Halloween
dance which is one of the most iconic Dancing with the Stars performances of all time that dance
yeah oh okay next is Grammy's
night we didn't talk about Cynthia Erivo yeah oh we didn't even talk
about Shirley okay Cynthia Erivo guest judging is legitimately insane I can't
believe she'll be talking to you like eye to eye like saying your name like or like that's nuts to
me i also kind of fucked with with shirley ballas me too heavily like pretty heavily i thought her
feedback like was really really like detailed even if it was like not what you would want to
be receiving like i would that like is actually helpful feedback especially when she brought out
the shoes right yeah i wonder what cynthia i wonder what cynthia sile will be like probably
really really eloquent and like so beautiful and almost poetic yeah i can't believe i like i can't
believe this bullshit like this is just i mean it's a bit it's the best show on television it's
the best show on television no one's you're on the best show on television baby baby you're on
the best show it feels that way on i'm sorry national television it feels that way i don't
think that it will like
this week was the first week i was standing on the stage during the show and i go
i want to dance with the stars yeah it was very surreal yeah and i was looking at you guys in the
crowd like and they're here yeah i seriously feel like you know when they say that right when you
die you get like overwhelming levels of like dmt i think it or is it do you do does your brain
release dmt or is that like a really serious chemical drug well that's
that's a drug oxytocin it like makes you go through like a a very clarity like like post not
clarity no like you're fine through your life and you experience like you have like genuine out of
body yeah that feels like it could be dead yeah and also so much good stuff is happening to me
recently that i genuinely feel it and it's so good that i feel like it feels like i'm on
you know when you take a
a dog to the beach and then you give it a cheeseburger and an ice cream cone because
you're about to put it down yeah that's what you feel like well the good news is that like
i think you're here to stay praying okay okay so yeah loss of oxygen and consciousness within 15
to 20 of heart stopping all right so loss of oxygen and consciousness what is what was the
question that we typed out sorry i forgot what we're doing your cerebral oh right when you die
the cerebral cortex loses its oxygen supply and shuts down consciousness within 15 to 20
seconds followed by a brief surge of coordinated electrical brain activity gamma waves studied
using blah blah have recorded a sudden coordinated spike in high frequency gamma right around the
time of death memory and life recall these gamma waves are typically tied to high level cognitive
functions memory retrieval and dreamlike states researchers suggest this activity may trigger a
rapid replay of memories or mimic near-death experiences wow wow wow i'm gonna remember my
entire tango dance on my time of death oh i bet this is it's fun to live through something where
you know that at the end of your life like that's the moment you'll come back to yeah
yeah mama mia what moment will you come back to specifically well i've actually
like what you were saying like i feel like like this is kind of drama okay but in the i'd say i'm
like this is kind of drama okay but in the i'd say i'm like this is kind of drama okay but in the i'd say i'm
like this is kind of drama okay but in the it's like hard to like it's been hard for me to like
feel genuine happiness recently because there's just like so much good that it's almost like
numbing yeah but i feel like recently like with you on dancing with the stars i've been happy
like you on dancing with the stars a new akatar i've got my murdoku glee is coming like i've been
feeling i've felt genuine like happiness and i'm like i feel like so content wow
just like all these like amazing it's like the little things like obviously you being on dancing
with the stars is a bigger thing but like just like my treasures like i've been feeling really
like genuine happiness like in this time period brook that's like a massive massive milestone
thanks and then like yeah i've just been feeling happy which is holy this girl really blew up i know
she blew down really let herself go okay what are we talking what do you want to talk about next
well i guess we should do this will be the exclusive
jennifer lawrence debrief situation and i i know people can beat the horse can die right
you can lead a horse to water but you can't make it die i am actively trying to kill this horse
okay it needs to like the way that jennifer lawrence is truly like a subtle
legend you know like she wouldn't she would not want me to continue make jennifer lawrence
leave a comment i go booboo do you mind making that merch that is not that is not how i how i
get her into my corner you know what choice did you have hey guys we want to take a break to thank

your orders and 365 day returns now available in canada and the uk too and when quince asks where
you heard about them let them know it was us it's the best way to support the show i made the right
decision in in the moment and i thought it would blow over but it turns out every social media
manager on the planet is is deciding to use the sound we have reached i have purse level
legacy status like i don't know every time i open my phone it's this it's and it's
massive entities are using the sound and i'm like nfl vibes nfl nfl yeah nfl
every team on the planet and then like pga tour it's just crazy and people are being the smoothie
and eighth avenue for halloween and being me like yeah being nonchalant i also want to walk
the mindset of me in my smoothie shop on eighth avenue but by the way it's very it's way too
specific to not have happened i know she's a funny woman this is the funniest thing that she did in
this moment was tell the truth 100 we had crossed paths which is a very that feels very special to
me but if i'm going to the smoothie shop that means i'm on my way to the gym and that means
i'm about to kill myself so i'm not really looking around and trying to chat with anyone i'm trying
to keep myself motivated but i have i'm definitely dissociating when i'm getting my smoothie because
i'm about to go
can i ask like did she delete the comment no the the for whatever reason it glitched and you can
only see it if it's if you go to the account scroll and then you seek that video out and it
pops no i know i don't see i can't if it's in a dm or if it's been sent to you i think you have
to type in the thing it's like it's like a bug because i asked the i think it was buzzfeed
if it had been deleted on their end and they said no we can see it so i don't really know
see it did jen block me oh no my land congratulations to jen on her hair care
company by the way by the way like what an awesome time to have a viral moment i know yeah
that was like a genuinely
divine intervention thank you the way that god's plan is is making
me laugh with joy that's pretty damn cool yeah like jennifer lawrence like she's got it no she
literally has to just be like oh my god shut it's not only did she engage with you like she
engaged with you based off of the prior knowledge that she had of you that's pretty insane also
think about how many like mega mega celebrities know who you are and like like you like
like i haven't heard anything but because like nathan not nathan fielder's really not a good
example but like andrew garfield's not like posting about dancing the stars but like he's
probably watching he'll probably watch with cynthia on next week yeah maybe or like these
people are like he loves reality tv yeah he does so
um well jennifer went on um call her daddy and was like alex asked have you ever what's the
weirdest interaction you had with a fan and she's like well people in new york aren't
you know there's no dorks come up and they're like i'm your biggest fan i'm like
i'll be a dork you don't have to because like if you go up to her it'll be like hey
good to see you we would have something to talk about how crazy is that it's not like a
fan interaction it's like two like friends catching up yeah i will say i have a
tentatively i have a really fun why are you stroking your sock like you're it's like a
cat and you're like an evil person well my my shoes are really thin so i'm rubbing my
foot through my shoe okay and it's calming me down got it you stressed no well yeah
i have a really fun collaboration piece coming up soon with who
i don't know it's really funny do i know about it no are you gonna surprise me or were you will
you tell me i'll tell you okay yes it would been it it has been like a movie it really has life
life imitates art um i'm checking all my i was in new york yeah last week which was really hard
because it's like fall and why is that really hard that's amazing yeah but then i told you
leave and i don't live like on these and you're texting me like i was having i can wrap my head
around it i will say fall in new york is a lot like spring in new york i never had seasons did
you like i i realized i grew up in texas moved to california that's the two places that i remember
living you know new york is my first time experiencing seasons the winter it was the
worst winter ever last year i could not have been more in heaven
my fat ass up and head to the coffee shop yeah sign me up oh i don't feel that way about winter
but like fall has always been my favorite yeah and i haven't experienced a true fall in like
five years and so being there was really tough especially because i was doing so many like
bookish activities so i was like going in bookstores and cute stuff stores and it was fall
and scurrying around and having scurrying around in my puffer having a schedule
in new york it's work and then you have some time to kill in between you are
kate hudson and how to lose a guy in 10 days like i work at a fashion magazine i'm an editor i want
to write about politics your life is my boss makes me write about trousers
oh it's a dream completely but anyway i had a few meet and greets and i met some of our fans
yeah and there was this one girl who was like hey
blocked me like a few years ago and we've heard of her because this is the girl that
you blocked from the brooke and connor account for saying something and then
she tried to get unblocked through salt hank you remember that
yes anyway i she wrote a really long letter okay a plea to get unblocked i'm gonna read it to you
and it's up to you it's completely up to you if you want to unblock her or not
i like
i mean like i don't block willy-nilly like she she did something bad it's in the letter well
okay if if we're able if she's able to acknowledge and not make an excuse for
yeah what she said when we have said time and time again
we are not open to constructive criticism or feedback of any kind outside of positive
like zero you guys do you want me to read it to you what yeah
it's a big typed out letter holy she's she's taking accountability okay so it's and then
it will be up to you to decide if she gets unblocked from the bnc account hi brooke i'm
writing to you because one i'm a huge fan and two this is an attempt to get myself unblocked
from the bnc insta page i was blocked pre-dwts and here's what happened back in march or april
of 2024 connor posted a question box on the bnc insta and i said something like no question but
you look bad
which reflecting
sorry holy freaking airball reflecting sounds so mean right i just took my parasocial relationship
too damn far that's not parasocial well this is she said this is how my friends and i speak to
each other and i thought he knew my heart that's the that's a key sentence because we don't know
your heart because we don't know you right you look bad in what way was i supposed oh wait that
must be how she talks to her friends
right i think that's a key thing that people are missing is that we don't we don't know
that that's a compliment we don't know that you're saying you look bad i do admire this brooke i want
to say the open letter to us to explain makes me want to unfortunately leave her where she is like
this is this is freaking me out worse there's no justification for you look bad someone who
really doesn't need to hear that you know ever i'm gonna keep reading and you can decide at the end
if she i told her i told her this i said that's bad and i will leave it up to connor to decide
if you are getting unblocked do we have her at i have her at okay a few days later i couldn't find
the bnc instagram and thought maybe the mainframe was hacked i looked on my other account still
couldn't find it listened to the pod i listened to the next pod and he said something like yeah
girl said i looked bad so i immediately blocked her i mean my god i was shocked but i was you were
what i was also cracking up you were shocked and also cracking up okay i'm so sorry like i i'm
going by the way my i'm being tugged back and forth like i was shocked and saddened and cracking
up i'm so sorry i i want i want to unblock i don't want to
block you said something earlier that was really wise like everyone should act like the person that
you're talking to or about we'll see this we'll see it so no i'm so sorry young lady you'll you'll
remain in the brig unfortunately damn i i didn't even like sorry like i don't think there was any
part of you that considered i didn't like the tone of the spoken the the written letter like
i am so i'm not sorry i'm not sorry that is
like that's gonna be you know what i really admired i know that there was a time when
like when you and i lived with jack and sally dar jack would be on that freaking shared tiktok
account of ours blocking people proactively blocking people that said anything negative
even slightly about any of us that's what i see so that we wouldn't see it you know yeah it was
really actually very sweet and that was a very tough time
physically in my life in terms of looks for a few people for a few people yeah so i like that he was
really like kind of taking a lot of heat off of my i was referring to myself by the way
and we i don't i think you look no we were going through that photo of us at the bus stop i don't
want to talk about the photo of us at the bus stop but um i am at a i'm i'm at the point of
sometimes that i
am i am blocking people at this point because it's like i'm choosing to like be vulnerable
online and share stuff in my life and like if if you're coming at me with like anger and
negativity and just being mean to me or my friends it's like goodbye i'm not doing that
so i i'm actually i'm so pro blocking right now and i think there's been a lot of people to block
which is sad yeah but it's also so hard because i guess it's just like the more eyes it's like the
more
negativity but in the same vein it's like also the most like amount of kindness and yeah no it is
and that doesn't get unrecognized so it's just hard not to like hear the the negativity muddy
the waters yeah yeah but we'll we'll get better because we have to but i will say like i think i
think definitely both of us are have been struggling with that and i'm being earnest and honest it's
not been easy i can't imagine it's much worse for you so sending sending love and healing to you
well i've cussed a lot on this podcast like i i hope that you guys don't think of me differently
it's the costume i i honestly do think of you a little differently
you look like a different person i wish i whitened my teeth
they look white really yeah
i think so okay
do you not feel like it's insane that there's going to be a glee reboot
and do you think that you'll watch the first glee i want to say can i say something about
glee actually i've been begging you to say something about glee for six years i will say
because of the reboot there's been a lot of clips coming across my desk glee's
really funny glee is hysterical glee is like lived in that time where the office did where like
it was super not pc no and that's what is turning me on a little bit i'm like oh whoa yeah like
because that was that was one of those
where if you're offensive to everybody you're offensive to no one you know as they covered
they covered everybody and i'm like they they didn't miss a beat they didn't no i think you
you would jane lynch by the way jane sue sylvester is one of the most iconic tv characters of all
time and a lot of the even like the numbers are like so many of them are like ironic like cringe
like funny yeah like i mean some are just completely freaking breathtaking and like
maybe you won't like be as compelled by those but some are like funny ironic like like thong song
like like you i think you it might be worth a try i like i have so much trouble when scenes are cut
because of songs that i know you know but i know that you love that what do you mean like
in musicals i'm like oh what if i could go back to the plot now yeah i mean you can go on your
phone during the musical numbers that's true and i do i don't get off my phone but the thing is
that they do so many oldies that like it's songs that you'll like yeah that's true the what i'm
worried about now i mean i think we all have to go into this reboot with realistic expectations
that like it's we will never get the first three seasons of glee again even the seasons four five
six are not the first three seasons of glee like we need to have realistic expectations
ew what you said four five six and my heart dropped because now numbers
are scores to me oh i'm sorry sweetheart that's just i won't say numbers in front of you again
that's okay um but yeah i'm also thinking of like all of the things that glee ended before
like glee and hamilton did not exist in the same world glee and dear evan hansen did not exist in
the same world glee and chapel roan glee and olivia rodrigo glee and the greatest showman
you think they're gonna throw some big dogs there is going to be there is so much material
that exists that did not exist in the time that glee was first made it's just it's really it it
has potential to to be good if if what has been happening every to every single reboot doesn't
happen exactly i just don't know i wonder if people writing these shows and casting for these
reboots are like what if we made this good i don't like i just wonder i don't know connor
sequels are going to shit reboots are going to shit
and it's i think it's because they're trying to be too finger on the pulse not woke mom just like
finger on the pulse like everything doesn't need to be the way trends are set
is by taking your own path that you are like trust you know like they don't need to adhere to
putting someone who's timely in like chapel run would be really good that's a that's a good
example of like an exception i think i would make it sucks is it in current day
glee is this reboot going to be in current day i would imagine was that in current day when it
came out so what are they going to do so old now i don't know the beach that makes you old well
that's what that was the problem with the original glee too was that the like rachel and michelle and
everyone graduated so in season four they went off to new york and that's when i was like i can't i
don't i'm not watching anymore i'm only interested in high school i'm only interested in my family
in the choir room yeah and so i don't know what they're i don't know what they're gonna do now
like maybe they'll be teachers
we'll go back and be a teacher exactly like victorious yeah and so we'll see but i think
we really need to manage our expectations i agree i also like hope we don't see a lot of like
random like influencers except for i have to be in the video i was supposed to be in the video
i have to be in in this i don't care i will sweep the damn floors i'll be a janitor in
the background of the choir room you would be phenomenal i have the glee ruby like i have i'm
gonna come in a few weeks prior or a few weeks from now and i'm gonna audition i'm gonna print
a script i'm gonna give you lines to read i will have mine prepared and i'm going to audition for
the glee reboot and i have to i think it would be a huge missed opportunity if i didn't i'm gonna
take advantage of the viewers that you're bringing in get a lot of eyes on it i want as many eyes as
ryan murphy i was supposed to be in the video yeah i like that i like that you you were speaking that
in thanks like i i will do i will play a dead like i will do anything like this this show was
my life yeah truly yeah so sing for me paulo sing for me paulo yeah it's the most important thing
that's awesome that's gonna be so fun yeah i'm really excited about
that even though i don't know if it will be any good
my thing is like they did already kind of ruin the show is it so it's like what do you mean how
with the four seasons four five and six were pretty bad and so and i say this with like this
is my favorite show it's fine you can say that about your favorite show um so it's like the
stakes are pretty low i don't know like it's not like they would be bringing it back and ruining a
note yeah like they they it went so downhill so it's like if you keep going downhill like fine
you're already it was already happening but like there's room to go up too i like that yeah what
about girls oh my god we didn't even talk about the girls reboot i have faith in the girls i think
we did oh okay i kind of have faith in the girls reboot i want to that's that's that's that's one
that ended and it was like whoa well i didn't like the last season of girls
it was uh heavy on the heart it was like anxiety inducing it was yeah i guess it was just like it
was really heavy and sad and like real yeah maybe i have to re-watch it but like yeah it was it was
just totally very different from the rest of the show and i know some people really like it and
some really don't so i would go back and and re-watch that for sure and then you had your new
book come out thank you for saying that yeah yeah the new akatar's out this is a fairly large deal
for the community and you started reading it i'm a little over halfway through so the other
here this is it you want to hold it yeah you were talking about you you should read those
other books so i was i was embroiled in a controversy basically a court of splintered
harmony yeah thank you basically there's a big debate online do you have she has sarah has three
series yeah there's throne of glass there's crescent city and there's a court of thorns and roses
people are there's a big debate online and i'm trying not to give anything away do you have to
read the other series to understand this new book smells so good because there's some context
that you might want right in the other series for this book and so many people are like no
the context is given to you in this book but i truly think you have to read all of her books yeah
read this new akatar and people are not liking that because one of her series crescent cities
it's three books and they're each like 900 pages so it's like a fairly large commitment to just
want to read this one so people were getting so mad at me connor in a way that like i had just
killed their families for saying that i would recommend reading another series they were like
fuck you i don't want to okay you don't have to my lovey but that's my recommendation
some people disagree so that's good um i myself i would be if i did not read crescent city i think i
would find myself feeling really confused and frustrated because i'm someone that likes to
understand every detail of what i'm reading and if i don't i don't like that but there's different
kinds of readers out there that might not bother you so i don't know i got like embroiled into a
bean soup it was a total bean soup situation it was like people threatening my life because they
don't want to read those other books don't don't don't yeah so i'm i'm having fun um i'm having fun
with a quarter splintered harmony it's definitely how was this entire episode like
us us being
i mean you know it's it is so hard because every like 99 of people are so amazing probably
but the loud voices that we're hearing are the people that are giving us a hard time
so that's what's hard um it's not hard it's a blessing wait it's a blessing i know it genuinely
is but like it does i think it's fine to express that you know it gets to we're people too we're
people too so it gets it does get to a point like we're not just a thing on your phone
we're people so i think we are people that's oh my gosh speaking of we are people
i was going into my building
this week i can't remember when and i was chatting with someone and i was like the elevator is open
and there was someone holding the door for me and i was like it's like just go
and the door started to shut
and right when it started to shut i was just waiting for it to shut
the elevator to go so i could push it again let the guy go he sticks
his arm through the elevator you shouldn't do that you guys the elevator just shut on his hand
and i'm like oh oh oh i'm pushing the button the elevator's not opening and his hands like this
that's really scary i think he's hurting he was like a little yeah a little but like so
not panicking at all i'm there's no one obviously now by now everyone's gone it's just me in this
this hand it was like wednesday wednesday adams and he didn't i'm glad it didn't get severed the
young man didn't seem to mind at all that his hand was about he was about to lose a hand
yeah i had to pull the door open the young man is he okay yeah he's totally fine did not
was not phased at all to the point where i was like
what else has happened to you you know for you not to be
you know for you not to be phased at all to the point where i was like
i i thought i was about to see someone lose a hand in front of me
because i figured it would just go up yeah totally i'm glad everyone's okay
and everything like that um well i am gonna run because i have to go
to practice i don't know how and um the thing is i'm gonna wear this to practice because there's
no time because we're gonna be very close on time so a bit of blessing if you see this on camera
to the stars don't be don't be surprised actually this will come out first but you see it on your tv
i'm so thankful for everybody thank you for everything are you staying for bonus yeah oh
okay i'll see you in bonus i'll be in bonus yeah but we gotta we have to wrap this one up so i can
pee and you know let okay let everything out yeah um it out and through kind of push it out and
through and yep don't forget to vote and give it to the next person i think it's really starting
like it's always important to vote but like oh vote for it
in the election as well yeah and vote for connor next week for dancing with the stars because
register to vote as well register yeah do you i want you to do a fuck ton of voting yeah this
week is all about voting across the board and if your life was had like weekly themes the theme of
next week would be voting um we need yeah definitely start voting for connor to voting
voter literacy yeah type beat okay love you thank you guys love you bye
this week on close friends i'm having a feeling this might be better than the main episode this
week and that's okay it is it happens like these random really hot guys like showed up and i was
like would you mind me asking what y'all are doing here and then it became clear once they started
ripping their shirts off i am not affected by that at all good you that's a good quality i'm
