RB Rankings, Sleepers, and Tiers. Plus, the Hot QB Rankings, No. 5-8.

The Ringer Fantasy Football show features a detailed ranking and strategy discussion on running backs, emphasizing the importance of elite picks in winning fantasy leagues. The top-tier running backs—Bijan Robinson, Jr., and Junior Gibbs—are highlighted as top-choices due to their consistent production, especially in high-scoring environments. The Lions’ easier schedule and strong red-zone tendencies give Gibbs a significant edge over the Falcons, despite offensive line concerns. Christian McCaffrey is touted as a fantasy powerhouse due to his high touch volume and dual-threat capability, but his injury history and workload raise concerns, prompting caution in drafting him early. Other top-tier picks include Jonathan Taylor and James Cook, who are valued for their consistent carries and efficiency. Tier two includes players like Ashton Gentie, Derek Henry, and Sequan Barkley, with Gentie standing out due to his elite performance in yards after contact and the Raiders’ improved offensive scheme under new coordinator Clint Kubeak. Ken Walker is seen as a high-upside, explosive option for the Chiefs, especially given their poor offensive output and lack of elite talent. Chase Brown is viewed as a hidden gem, particularly in his matchups with Joe Burrow, where he consistently ranks as a top-5 fantasy back. The group ultimately recommends a tiered approach: first-rounders for the elite, second-rounders for high-upside but riskier players, and later picks for fringe options. The discussion also touches on coaching influence, team schedules, and injury risk, underscoring the need for balance between proven stats and potential growth. While some players like Devon H. Hn and Chase Brown are polarizing, their performance in specific systems—especially with strong quarterbacks—makes them compelling late-round or second-round targets. Overall, the consensus is that securing a reliable, high-volume back in the first or early second round remains the best strategy for fantasy success.

Welcome to the Ringer Fantasy football show, my name is Danny Heifetz, and I'm joined by Danny Kelly and Craig Horlbeck, who is back from Hawaii, baby Craig, I was Hawaii. I was actually on a medical tourism trip, I got a face lift, I got peptides injected into my cheeks, so I'm feeling refreshed. You look it, pal. Yeah, you just weren't mugging us enough before. I said, give me the in half away. She looked great in 18 degrees. You know, just actually learned to do ancient looms by hand, okay, we're going to do running backs today. We're going to run back. Rankings are going to tears. We're going to sleep. That's enough of Craig's vacation. We're just getting ready to run. And then just a reminder, we also do shows during the season. So in the middle of the season, you can stick with us. Once you do your draft, you can come back, we do waivers during the season. We do trade out. We also just talk about all the dumb shit that happens during the season. So stick with us for before your draft, but also after. Yeah, we do a company wide fantasy football league with Bill Simmons and the rest of the ringer. And we're going to do a live stream draft on Netflix at the end of August. Mallory Ruben, one last year, I actually, I feel like that was a test year. Was that a real year? That counted? It was a test for your 107 test year. Yeah, right. Yeah. Test. Okay. So stick with us for all that. We have a live show in Los Angeles as well. If you want to buy tickets for that episode description is the link for that. All right. With that said, running backs. Yeah. Okay. Get to it. Big picture strategy. DK, do you want to take a bunch of big beefy, bulky running backs in the beginning of your draft? Or do you think that you'll, once you do that, they'll get hurt this year and you'll feel like an idiot? Well, I guess that's a kind of a loaded question because you're mere Gibbs. Do you count him as a big beefy back? I think so. If you get a top two pick, that's like privilege that's, that doesn't count. Like if you're just, I'm talking like outside the top two guys that's like, there's no conversation there. I'm saying, if you're not having a top two pick, are you going to be like running back running back to start your draft and feel great about it? I'll be motivated to take a running back fairly early. I don't know about two in a row. That's a whole different discussion. But yeah, I mean, we can't get that deep into it really. But yeah, I think getting one early in the first two rounds is going to be big this year because once you get into the third, fourth, fifth tier of these running backs, it starts to get kind of scary. I mean, look, since fantasy football has existed, usually the strategy has remained that if you get one of the best running backs in the league, you're probably going to win or be in the championship. Like running backs typically score the most points outside of quarterbacks, but that's a different conversation. But like, if you get one of the best four running backs in the NFL or in fantasy, that is usually the best strategy to win fantasy footballs, like you just have Christian McCaffrey and he's the RB1. That is like, so I would say even when things kind of change, strategies change, if you can just get an elite running back, that kind of always works every single year as long as they're healthy. Like that is the best strategy. Get an elite running back. Yeah, I mean, I even just like, I mean, spoiler, but the first two guys we have here, the tier one. And again, we're going through tiers because it's basically for lack of a more perfect definition, just basically buckets of guys that you could put them in any order and draft them in any order. We wouldn't think you're crazy, even if we might disagree with you. And the top two, I think, is pretty unanimous, which is guys that you could take first overall. It is, Jim here gives the Lions and Beige and Robinson for the Falcons. But I think to that point, Craig just made those two guys kind of epitomize it for a lot of reasons because last year, the literal player that was on the running back on the most teams that won the championship last year in ESPN was Beige on Robinson. Tristan Cockroft is this article every year where he basically just looks at, here's the teams who won the leagues this year and the most common running back with Beige and Robinson. The year before that, the most common player period on championship teams was just Jim here gives literally you had three times better odds of just winning your league if you just trying to. I was probably McCaffrey the year before that. Yeah. Yeah, basically. And so you just go through and like, yeah, it's like nailing your running back is the most important, well, phrasing, but like having nailing your pick and running back is the most important part. Yeah. You just think that part, that was good. That was funny. I didn't know DK knew that part. Wait, what? I didn't say that part. He said pause. I said pause. What do you say? Oh, I thought you said pause and then after that you said that part. Now you got to explain, you got to explain that part to me because I don't know what that is. Oh, fuck. I don't know. Why did I hear that? If it's a, it's like a, it's like a, it's like a Gen Z way to acknowledge like something embarrassing. You said in a sentence. I have no, I've never heard of that. No, I wish I used to song also, but I think that's probably working from, anyway, it's hard to go from that to like a serious conversation about fantasy football running backs. Who do you guys like more? Who you taking first? Kids. Junior kids. Yeah. I feel like we flopped. Give him a gum, he's gone. Like I, it's guy simple as that to me. Like I, I think the offensive line is still solid and they, they're doing what they can't to kind of revamp it and Detroit. David Montgomery is gone. They brought a nice day of a check out, but like, he's alive. He's just on a new team now. Yeah. Junior Gibbs. Yeah, you're right. He's not gone from this earth. Junior Gibbs, like a top four running back every year with David Montgomery and now he's gone. Well, he's 25 years old. Like I'm like, this is, all they do is score touchdowns. Junior, all junior Gibbs does is score touchdowns and his counterpart who also had like 10 touchdowns a year. I'll say it for a third time is gone. He's not even 25. They're both 24 years old. 24 things. They've both basically been league when he's running backs already. But he's gone basically was the league when the last year Gibbs was the really good way of the year before. And yet this is probably, they might both have a career years this year. They're in their prime. They can't go wrong with that. Yeah, that's clear. I mean, Tyler Lger also left for Atlanta. The problem is that Atlantic brought in Brian Robinson, Jr., who I think is more capable running back in Atlanta than Detroit, brought in Isaiah Pacheco, who's not as good as David Montgomery. I just think over all though, it's, it's not even the Montgomery thing to be with Detroit. It's just I would rather have all season, the Lions offense with Jared Goff, that I would the Falcons with two and Michael Penex is the quarterback. That's the difference. Yeah. And there's, there's, I mean, one part of that's obvious. But also just because two and Michael Penex and Atlanta, the quarterbacks, they're both lefties, like stylistically, they're not the same. If they inevitably go from two to Penex at any point during the season, I do think they will have quite the effect on the offense. Never mind if both get hurt in December, which is, I mean, if they're two of the more fragile quarterbacks of the NFL, and I also have to say that the Lions thing, what really pushes me over the edge from a Rich Rebar at Sharp Fantasy, who is great stats at Warren Sharp's website, Rich Rebar made the point that not only do the Lions have the easiest schedule in the NFL for real life, but the Lions also have the easiest rushing schedule in the NFL. If they try to project Russian defenses and all these things, and the Lions are projected have like the third most points in the NFL this season, and the Falcons are projected have the 25th most points. So if it's just like, well, who's going to score more touchdowns? It was probably the guy with more consistent quarterback with the easier schedule, with the easier rushing schedule, and the team that's going to be in the red zone more. So I think that to me is what pushes it over for games, even though it's not like impossible that Beach on has like a whole five season. The Lions finished nine and eight last year. I totally memory hold it that they were in last place in the NFC North. They get a last place schedule this year, so that's a big part of the reason they have the easiest, according to Warren Sharp, the easiest schedule in the NFL. They go up against the Jets, the Panthers, the Cardinals, Falcons, Titans, and Giants like among other teams. And then, you know, they've got a couple hard games in there here and there. But yes, they are, they're facing the easiest schedule in the NFL. This is a easy, to me, this is the easy tiebreaker between Beach on and Gibbs. I think both are great picks. I think the Falcons have a pretty easy schedule too, from according to, you know, Vegas win totals. But yeah, the Lions could just actually absolutely go nuclear on offense this year and kind of get back to what they're doing. The other thing is they love to run in the Red Zone. That has been a thing for years. And so there's a strong chance Gibbs just has a ton of touchdowns again. The one thing I'll say about Gibbs just because I think everyone said, no, I think there's the number one pick. But the number one pick kind of hasn't delivered for anybody in like a really like 10 years of for being honest. The one thing you can't just ignore. Yeah, no, no, I'm just, I'm just saying like, I before we just say like he's this perfect I will say the one thing that you take for granted in Detroit is the offensive line. That is the biggest question on the whole, the whole equation is the Detroit offensive line. You're moving Penaisuil from right tackle to left tackle. The center, they brought in Cade Mays from Carolina, but like, he's missed a lot of time. Like he's missed like, I don't know, 11 games the past two years. Like they kept Christian Mahogany at left guard, which I don't think Lions fans wanted amazing. They have. On many leather bound books. I feel like it was going to be Ron Burgundy or Christian Mahogany only chose Ron Burgundy. Christian Mahogany. Christian Mahogany. It does sound like the first name. It does sound like a like a character and like the Romantic novels or something. Yeah, I've really got that. Christian rock hard Mahogany. Yeah. Mahogany is the only guy returning in the same position, but not Penaisuil. Tate Ralleges is a right guard. The point though is like, there's a lot of the Lions Phillip part because the Lion Phillip part. And they have an entry front center, which was the problem last year. Penaisuil is like their best line in the league, but he's moving over to left tackle. So that's a variable. There are variables in the offensive line and Jared Goff has been good at Detroit because the line's been good. So there is a world where, like, if two is coming out and plays 17 games and just peppers Beigeon Robinson, like he was throwing the HN, there's a world that Beigeon runs away with it. I just wanted to put it. I still think they're all and everyone's in on Gibbs, but I'm just saying the, it's weird to have a number one pick where the line is the biggest question. I think everything else. Yeah. Falcon's offensive line. Not terrible. It's pretty solid. No. Christian Mohogany though. I know. Who's the coolest? They have Matthew Bergeron? That's fine. It's like a Kurt Vonnegut character. No way. Yeah, that's not as good. Oh, and that one was not a crowd, please. Or anyway, tier two, I wanted to ask you, should this tier be Christian McCaffrey for the Niners? John Taylor for the Colts and James go for the Bills or should it just be McCaffrey? I mean, look, Jonathan Taylor was the best running back in fantasy last year when David Jones was playing. So I think he deserves to be with McCaffrey. Yeah, I guess the only question in my mind is does Cook belong in this tier or not? I feel like in a phone rushing yards. I know, and so I feel like it's mainly just a reputation and perception argument. He's born. Yeah, he's just any small, I guess, he's the other thing. The Christian McCaffrey is also small. So I don't know. James Cook who has, am I getting this number right off the top of the, yeah, 32 touchdowns in the last 33 games? He probably he probably belongs in this tier. And he's kind of, he's, he's weirdly similar to Jonathan Taylor in the sense that he has, he gets a ton of carries. And he, when the offense is rolling, he's going to score a ton of touchdowns, but he's not really all that involved in the passing game, but both Taylor, he can catch. He's a good pass catcher. Jamir Gibbs is not big. I mean, I feel like his James Cook smaller than I want to say. Yeah, he's, well, he came out when he came out into the NFL. He was 190 pounds. So he's sub 200. And that was a part of the reason he didn't go earlier. But yeah, I mean, no one, I think when James Cook came out of the league, I think people even who are high on him would be surprised to hear that James Cook played the NFL in rushing, like just a period. I think these are guys you can take the first round. McCaffrey Taylor James Cook. I asked about McCaffrey because he really is the, he's the real life Ricky Bobby for fantasy. First or last, like I would, I would argue that McCaffrey was one of the three most important players to have on your team four of the last seven years. It was essential to have McCaffrey. But every other year, he was the most important player to avoid. He's literally just either destroy your season or single handedly dragged you to the semifinals with nothing in between the season by season basis. It's insane. Great. So we're taking it. We're not taking him this year. Is that what you're saying? I kind of think no. I actually kind of am against it. Like McCaffrey, if you were a restaurant, he'd have only five star reviews or one star reviews. Like there's no three star review of McCaffrey. And I kind of think this year is a one star review because he led the league in touches last year. He had 413 touches in the regular season. I think over 450 if you look at the playoffs too. And I'm like, okay, well, four 13s like an arbitrary number. But the other two times he went over that, he played like four games the next year. And I know that's not exactly some like, well, it definitely will repeat. But I'm like, I, I am hesitant to just assume that as McCaffrey's 30, which I think is overrated as a holistic number, for McCaffrey specifically coming off the most touches in the NFL, I'm, I'm a little do I still probably want the risk out rays that at some point, the risk outweighs the reward. The question's where, right? I was going to say that. But like, are you taking McCaffrey behind Jonathan Taylor? That's the question. So it's Gibbs Gibbs, Bijan, Pukinakua, JSN and Jamar Chase. I think those are, so those are the top five. The question is, where does McCaffrey slide in after that? I'm dubious to the cult. So I'm afraid of taking John Taylor. So maybe I do just have him six like everyone else with McCaffrey. It just makes me a little nervous. Yeah, one of those things you don't want to have the six pick because then you kind of have to take him. Yes, that's the thing is I can't talk about. I can take him. The upside is like the best player. Also, all the efficiency is kind of cut off from McCaffrey too, which, you know, I mean, that was just the thing for the overall Niners. They couldn't really run the ball for the first time. You know, it's an explosive place. But the other thing I do want to mention while we're on the Niners, is I want to talk about the story from you. So Kyle Shannon, just that coach of the Niners, was in a car crash in the middle of July. I'm just going to read from this story from you. So it says 49ers coach Kyle Shanahan suffered significant injuries in a car crash during a summer break in mid July that will leave Shanahan limited as the team opens training camp. I'm deviating from the article. I think it's weird they keep talking about him like it's a player. They keep talking about limited concussion protocol. I don't know on the sideline. Yeah, doing some sprints. It's weird football. There's weird football speak throughout this. But anyway, the article continues. So Shannon broke his nose. He broke three ribs and he broke his hand. Kyle Shanahan needed his hand 40 more. He needed more than 40 stitches in his face. And he suffered a severe concussion. This was on July 14th when he collided with an SUV near his northern California home. And then so the police, the other driver did not suffer any other injuries, drugs and alcohol were ruled out. Both drivers, cooperative police. No one was cited for anything. And then John Lynch, the GM said that Kyle Shanahan's recovering well from the injuries, but he still has lingering concussion symptoms. And he added that not the broken face, not the stitches, not the nose, not the ribs, not the black eyes. The reason Shanahan's not at camp yet and they have an interim coach, Chris Forester, is that Shanahan has this severe concussion. And they're going to treat him like a player until he comes back, which I don't know. I think that's I mean, that's pretty notable. Like I actually know a couple of people who had issues with concussions and car accidents, you know, not saying it's one or one with Kyle Shanahan. But like if you think about the lifestyle of a coach, where concussions can affect things like ability to focus for 16 hours a day, like reading, spending all these times in your playbooks, like the things coaches have to do. One of the things you need for concussions to like recover is sleep. And you think about the lifestyle of coaches who are sleeping in their offices for three hours a day or something. I don't know. It's interesting that they don't even want him to come back to least healthy. So like, you know, who knows how this will go, but that is, you didn't really think it could get worse for the Niners. I know. My dad is a huge Niner fan. And I, when this came out, he was like, once again, this team cannot catch a fucking break. It's not certain. Everyone made the same two jokes, which was, where is Brandon? How close was it to the substation? Which is what everyone's? This is what I know. Gladys, okay. Yeah. Totally. Yeah. Of course. Gladys, okay. Relatively, okay. And the term severe concussion really stood out to me. I'm like, they didn't just call it a concussion, like severe concussion. Because if it was a regular concussion and they treated him like a player, he'd be back. But the fact that, I mean, he's still kind of being eased back into this suggest that things are pretty messed up. Forty stitches in his face. I mean, this is, well, it also makes you remember that, first of all, the NFL doesn't really even use the terms of severe concussions. We're even here. Yes. That's why it's just severe. Who's that severe concussion? Was it shifter? Yeah. I think so. First, yeah, it's one of them to like, no, no, we need his brain to work. They only use the word severe for coaches, not players. Yeah. Exactly. The, the, I know, maybe they're all severe. I guess like when a player gets knocked unconscious on the field, I would probably consider that a severe concussion. Give him some swelling salts so I can back in there. Yeah. Yeah. But no, we'll see. I mean, it is, the fact that they have an assistant head coach, they have an interim head coach stepping in for training camp is not nothing. So, you know, we'll see. It's, yeah, I don't know. It, yeah, I don't know. There's like, don't know. Not a great start. It's weird to say I think things will probably be fine because you never know, knock on wood. Hopefully, he's okay. But like, yeah, as horrible as it sounds, I'd like to think that in a month, everything will be fine. But sure, but is there any coach more reliant on their head coach to prop up the entire performance of the team? Tony, I would argue shanning even more than McVeigh and the Rams. But at least it's like, you know, he's been there for a long time. It's like institutional knowledge. Hopefully, like things can, can go without him for a little bit. But yeah. It's like when Steve Kerr left the Warriors for 20 games and they were fucking awesome with, with Luke Walton, you know, totally. You guys would have everyone was thinking. The only thing I'll, the only thing I'll add to the Christian McAfry discussion, which is I think important and makes me feel a little bit more at ease about him is he is like the running back who is like at least in this area of the draft that is less reliant on just pure volume on the ground. He gets an insane amount of work in the in the past game. And I think that's what really separates him and half PBR and PBR particularly. I mean, he had 129 targets last year, which was almost 30, like basically almost 30 more than the next closest guy, which is B. John 100. So he had three more touches per game than any other running back last year on that note. Rich Rebar had another great standard McAfry. Christian McAfry has 100 catches in a season three times. Yeah. Every other running back in NFL history has done that four times. Come on. He had 102 catches last year, which was sixth in the NFL right behind Abon Ross St. Brown. He's basically Abon Ross St. Brown. And he runs in the passing game. And he also gets like 300 carries. Like it's insane. Like they how they use him. It's basically how Shanahan like nihilistic sort of point of view. I don't know who's going to be alive in next week. So I can't tell you who's. He was kind of right. You know, look, maybe he was on to something with who knows if I'll be alive on Sunday. But he kind of utilizes his running back in that way too. We don't know if tomorrow we have tomorrow. So let's just go ahead and give this guy 30 touches every game. So yeah, I think even though like the injury risk is probably as high as you can imagine with any player at this point in the NFL, you still the value or the potential value that he brings. I think is worth the risk because he could win you your league. You know what I'm thinking of? I just watched Interstellar again because of the Odyssey. And you know, that scene where he's like hitting him and head with the space suit. And he's like, Dr man, there's a 50% chance you'll kill yourself. He's like, those are the best odds I've had years. It just like smashes the thing. It's like kind of McCaffrey. Like if you're kind of like really desperate for a win, part of me is like, there's a 50% chance you knew your league in the first round. But I'm like, fucking, if you take McCaffrey and he does it, he has no one. McCaffrey is fourth place or fifth place. Like try to win your league. - He's only been a top three running. I think he's been, by points per game, like number one or two, every year he's played more than like seven games. - Yeah. - So. - So I think he's properly rated, even though. - Okay, so McCaffrey Taylor. - Yeah, those are guys in the first round. The next one are guys that I think, I don't know exactly how to define it. Guys, you could take early round two, and you'd probably be happy with. These are guys I think of as having like, obvious league winning upside, but also have an asterisk or two holding them back. Ashen Gentie running back for the Raiders, Sequan Barkley running back for the Eagles, Kenneth Walker running back for the Chiefs, Amir and Hampton for the Chargers, Devon H. Han for the Dolphins, and then Chase Brown for the Bangles. - This is a funny category. This is a funny grouping because a couple of these guys are like Hall of Fame, former top three fantasy picks. They're still at the peak of their powers in theory on good teams. I'm talking about like Sequan and Derek Henry. And then you have like Chase Brown or like O'Maring Hampton, who's very unproven. - Chase Brown. - Who I actually insane. - That's a weird list because you could make a case that Sequan and Derek Henry should probably just bump up to next to James Cook. Like our James Cook and Derek Henry and Sequan, not in the same tier. That doesn't really feel right to me. - Yes. - Even as to Gentie, you know, I think Henry and Sequan, to be honest, are perfectly fine end of first round picks, like especially both of them. And I would say Gentie as well. Gentie is going 11th in ADP. So whether you're in a 10 team or a 12 team league, kind of like end of first round. But what I think, what the first round, we say all the time, you can win your league in the first round, you can lose it. You want consistency and you want to be able to bank on your first round pick, right? You want to kind of know it's going to be fine when you're spending that much money or that much capital on him. I think Ashton Gentie, again, 11th in ADP. He's the only guy in the first round that's not proven. That is a projection of what could happen in another bet on what has happened. It's like, you know, Jonathan Taylor, I'm on raw, JSN, Puka McCaffrey, Chase, Beigeon, Gibbs. All guys are like, I know what they can do. Even Derek Henry and Sequan, you're like, I know what they can do. Gentie, who I am kind of obsessed with this year, because I have stupid offseason brain, where I'm like all excited about something I haven't seen yet, when I should probably just take Sequan Barclay. But the curious thing about Ashton Gentie is that the team was so bad last year, and he was fine that you're like, man, if the team is even middling, how good can he be? There's such crazy stats about how bad the Raiders were. Like, Ben Solak had one. Since 2010, a running back has reached 100 carries in a season, 737 times. Ashton Gentie's yards before contact last year ranked 734th. (laughing) I mean, it just-- 734 to 737. It just could not have been worse. And then yet, when you look at, when he was not hit behind the line of scrimmage, when Gentie was just like a normal carry, he was first in yards after contact per carry. Give him one step. Yes, all he needs is one step, and he is gone. The reason why I'm comfortable having him in the first round, next to all these other people who are very proven, is a few reasons. One, I'm like, I don't care about like his overall numbers last year when you watch him, and he had room, he looked fucking good, and he is good, and I'm convinced he's great. Two, the volume is outstanding. If you look at like just backfield carry share, all that stuff, like red zone, he is first in the NFL. In terms of like, backfield carries inside the 10 yard line, he's first in the NFL. He's above there. Well, with the coaching staff, that included P. Carol's sons that was flushed and kind of basically like the whole of radio seasons pinned on the coaching staff to be clear. I don't know if Kubeak has said he wants this blip maybe. Oh, I'm not worried about that at all. Like I think Ashton Gentie is capable of doing everything, and when we'll get everything. And then obviously factoring you now, Kubeak has a play collar and a revamped offensive line. I just feel like this has all the makings of next year Gentie is the fifth pick in drafts. And it's a little bit of a risk, I suppose, 'cause everybody else is reliable, but I'm willing to take the risk, I think. Yeah. Yeah, I mean, well said. Well said. I want to know what you think because for two reasons. One, a lot of these like year two running backs that explode are is round two year two running backs that were first run picks are like, traditionally one of the big easiest one players to spot that just exploded to year two and kind of become league winning players. McCaffrey being a good example in 2019. Where do you land on this? 'Cause Clint Kubeak, who's the Celux Offensive Coordinator, took over from a year before the Celux Offensive line and run games have messed in the coach, the coordinator before I'm Ryan Grubb, kind of had a bad scheme. And the Celux Offensive line was like a bottom five unit. And then Clint Kubeak came in and went, took them from bad to average. And then really that unlocked everything for the Celux Offensive along with JSN and the DKMCF trade. And so now you've Clint Kubeak go to the Raiders again and I'm curious, how much do you think that's like, just copy pace? Like, oh, he'll just make this Offensive line a good again for the Raiders because there are a lot of ifs with the Gen T thing, if Kirk Cousins plays and/or Fernando Mendoza plays and they're serviceable and the Raiders Offensive line's approved and Gen T plays as much. And they blame everything on Pete Carroll. How much of it's, 'cause I agree with Craig and I want Gen T to be really good. I also am looking at this and I'm like, Gen T before Seikoan kind of does give me like, "Quiziness?" - I don't think that's correct. I have Seikoan one spot ahead of Gen T out of respect to Seikoan, but I think Gen T should be a late first rounder. - Seikoan just gets grandfathered in there. - Seikoan should be a first rounder. I don't really understand why he's doing that. - Yeah, yeah, yeah. Yeah, there's a million variables here, but I do think, just like the one thing I keep thinking about with that Ben SoulX stat, which was, you know, basically as bad as you can get in terms of yards before contact, I do think that Kubeak's scheme, the way that he sequences plays, the improvements they'll make on the Offensive line, like what they went and got, Tyler Lindnerbaum, and I think he could be a real linchpin for like improving on that defensive, or on Offensive we've seen in the past, in these, you know, sort of wide zone offences that the center is really crucial to get it, you know, basically crossing the face of a defender and then sealing him, hooking him and sealing him away from the play is like such a massive part when you're going on these zone run game runs where basically you're trying to stretch the defense laterally to start, and if you don't have a center that can get in front of his guy and kind of seal him off, that can like make the whole thing collapse. And so there's a chance this is really important and their offensive line improves a lot, but most importantly, like they just start running the ball better, and they also, by the way, might have like a better, you know, like more dedication to it, just the way that Kubeak's offenses have kind of played over the years, I think it's just a huge part. Like Kubeak's dad was one of the originators of the zone game, like he-- - They invented zone run, again, blocking before them was man, you a person gets a guy, zone running, they invented, like Mike Shanahan and Gary Kubeak and Outskips in the late 80s, early 90s, invented zone running, which was basically, the alignment goes to a space and blocks the area, and you block whoever shows up. But the point of it was to make cornerbacks tackle. They basically were like, all the X's and O's on the board can't tackle equally, get the running, it's reverse engineering, how to make the cornerbacks tackle. And to your point, I keep thinking about, also Gary Kubeak's like alive, and it's definitely consulting for this team. All these guys have their dads helping. Like I'm just saying, we don't talk. Mike Shanahan still helps the Niners, Gary Kubeak is younger, than like five NFL coaches. You could be the fifth youngest fucking guy I ran for. - Where is he? - Gary Kubeak ran. They helped their sons, too. Jim and John Harboh both talk to their dad every day. So I'm just saying, Gary Kubeak invented this shit. And to that point, Decay, I keep thinking about Ashton Gentie making cornerbacks miss tackles. Like that is what I do keep thinking about. Like Gentie just getting put on all these cornerbacks who can't fucking tackle. - Just keep thinking about that. - You know, like if they're going to be, and I don't know exactly how they're gonna design the run game, maybe they don't do as much zone as you expect, blah, blah. There's all these caveats, but if they do focus heavily on getting him kind of in space and letting him, basically the idea is, yes, you want to get corner's tackle, but also you want the defense to overplay to the outside and then opens up cut lanes down the field. And I just feel like Gentie is gonna be better at, like I mentioned before. If he has a couple steps, he can kind of get his momentum going and then cut down field. Juke, break tackles, rip through arm tackles. That kind of thing is like what he's so good at. If he's like just getting hit in the back field every time, that's just not his game. That's like a Derek Henry style thing. He just, he doesn't have the ability to make guys miss before the line of screverage, basically, but I do think every time we saw him get a little bit of daylight last year, he looked like he was shot out of a cannon. It's kind of the same deal with Omar and Hampton, I think too. But yeah, I'm excited about what he can do in this offense. I do think I grew through Craig that it's a massive projection compared to these other guys though. Yeah, look, Gentie in the NFL does not look like Gentie in the Mountain West, but you know what? It's not as big of a gap as I maybe thought. Like Gentie's best plays last year against NFL defensive players. He was still dudes were, he was fucking throwing dudes off. And like it still took two or three guys to get him down. He has a ridiculous like center of gravity on him that like that did translate to the NFL. So I'm convinced he's great. So we have Gentie as a fringe first, second round pick. You know, kind of in that range. If you took Ash and Gentie over Justin Jefferson, I don't think anyone think you're crazy. We also had 55 catches by the way. He's not as he's not a zero in the receiving game. He was a receiver high school, wasn't he? And Italy played at the volcano high school in the night. Yeah, you know, I'm talking about Google. Google Ash didn't Gentie was a volcano high school. Right, because his dad was in the military. Yeah. Oh my god, that's that's the field. It's called Dera of a fucking. Called Dera. Anyway, okay, so Derek Kendrick, anyone else in this? I want to talk about Ken Walker, because Ken Walker is super MVP for Seattle left, goes to Kansas City. I feel like we have wish casted a better, cooler, explosive running back on the Kansas City for six years now, and now we finally have it. And DK, is it like too little too late 'cause the Chiefs aren't cool anymore? Do you think that Ken Walker is gonna be? - I think it makes it a by opportunity here because people are really bored of the Chiefs offense. There's, you know, they've been kind of an ugly offense to watch the last few years. - Disgusting. - Especially relative to what, like the early days of Pat Mahomes, where he was throwing, you know, 50 plus touchdowns and just going absolutely bonkers. - Can I give you a stat on that to just put a button on it? - Yeah, yeah. - I think people probably know this, but Rich Rebar and Heather, Rich Rebar has so many great stats at Worn Shrub site. Kansas City had the few, tied with the Vikings for the fewest touchdowns scored from outside the Red Zone last year, period. Like they had four of the entire season touchdowns from outside the 20 yard line. And then Kansas City running backs have one touchdown from outside the Red Zone. The past three seasons combined. Ken Walker alone has more than that. But the point being, the Kansas City, like, I know we keep saying they're not explosive anymore. They literally have the worst team in the NFL it's going from outside the Red Zone. - Yeah, and I think that's why they've made a priority to sign Ken Walker. He's an explosive runner. I think he is a tackle-breaking guy. He can create explosive big plays on the ground. I think that's massive for him. I think there's a chance that we see, I mean, I'm going back and looking at Kreme Hunt's numbers, early career Kreme Hunt. I know this was a 2017, but like he had 1300 yards, eight touchdowns. He was used in the passing game. - I do think that is what Ken Walker's role will be. - And he's way faster than Kreme Hunt ever was. So, you know, if you look at Miss Tackle's forest last year, Ken Walker was number one according to fantasy points. - I mean, Kreme Hunt led the league in rushing as for his rookie year. - Yeah, so I think this is the way that we can envision it. That is the upside play. Obviously, the down, the bear version of this is that he continues to be injury prone. Patrick Mahomes is in himself. The offense continues to be really kind of sluggish and it just doesn't play out that way. But I do think he has the talent. Ken Walker has the talent to be a really high-end fantasy option, and I think they're going to give him the volume in this offense. I mean, who's he competing with against for touches this year? It's like a Mari DiMarcato and some other random dudes in that backfield. I think he's going to get the vast majority of the touches. - It is funny that like, not long ago, Clyde Edwards-Hallaire was the first round pick in fantasy. And I don't know what it is about the Kenneth Walker thing that does not fully excite me the way I think I thought it would. I don't really know what it is. But like, I guess it's that the chiefs are just maybe in a different era now. And Mahomes as an ACL injury, the offensive line is still not good. And this team is just way less explosive and less cool. And I feel they've been surpassed by like five other 10 other offenses that are just way cooler than them now. But there's something about Kenneth Walker on the chiefs that two, three years ago, I would have freaked out at and I'm kind of not now. - I think the real answer is it's about Andy Reed and that Andy Reed, who's quietly, is he almost 70 years old? Andy Reed, older than Gary Kubiak. - Yeah, Andy Reed was at the cutting edge of offense and people are stealing ideas from Andy Reed for a long time. And that has not been quite as true the last four years. And like, it's not a knock on Andy Reed because he's a Hall of Fame coach and he's been doing this for 26 years. It's like a bellicic thing. It's like, oh, we fell off. Like, staying at the top that long is incredible. But the league and the rules and the trends, when the chiefs were at the most successful with Mahomes, the league was bending toward what Andy Reed has been specialized in for so long. Like, everything happening with receivers, with spacing, with like, the running game, trickling at the passing game, becoming an extension of the running game and being like these quick West Coast things. That's like Andy Reed's specialty. And as the league has drifted away from that back to, you know what's better than an extension of the running game, the running game. And as the running game is actually back and being under centered on all these things, and the league has drifted away from Andy Reed's specialty, the chiefs have fallen off. And so they know and stealing ideas from them anymore. And so that I think is what's happening, is they're not explosive anymore because the guys who were at the true cutting edge are like 30 years his junior. Like Andy, like Sean McVey or Kyle Shanahan. So I think the chiefs just, they're middle of the road now schematically instead of cutting edge. And then they also got rid of Tyree Kill. And so it was much cooler when they had like, the fastest player ever and the best receiving tight end ever. And then you added Clyde Edwards a layer to it. We're like, oh, cool. But he wasn't that athletic of a guy Clyde. You know what I mean? Ken Walker is supposed to be now. He's supposed to be the straw that stirs the drink because frankly, everyone else in the chiefs offense is pretty limited other than Ken Walker. Would you be more surprised if at the end of this upcoming season, Kenneth Walker is a top five fantasy running back or a fringe top 25? - Like I think if you take health out of it, I'd be more surprised if he was fringe top 25. I think he's that good. I just think the health thing is a major question mark as always. - And the chiefs have a strong offensive line. Like this is where sometimes you have to recalibrate what you think. Do you guys think of the chiefs offense of line? As a better offensive line than Detroit? - No. - I don't, but they are. Like the chiefs have way better interior offensive line than like the Detroit line. - Interior, yes. - Their tackle situation is a mess. - It's weird. Well, it's weird because Josh Simmons is the left tackle and he's like really good, but also goes to the team for like five weeks and no one know what to do. Like we don't know what, it's just a strange situation. But I think the chiefs might be like a running game. The key to me is that Ken Walker is incredible as a receiver for the screens. And Andy reads huge on screen design still and Ken Walker is great on that. And I think that he's gonna get a lot of design passes not just check downs. But we'll see. I guess what it comes down to it is would you rather of Ken Walker or like Nico Collins, DK? - I think Ken Walker. - Yeah, I think so too. I think he's properly ranked where he is. - Do we want to move Henry and Sequan and Gentie up into the other tier or no? - I think so. - To cheerly out of respect. - I think Gentie, Barkley, Henry are a different tier than these next guys. - You think Gentie, Barkley, Henry are in the tier with CMC Taylor, James Cook? - No, I think they should just be their own tier. - Their own tier? - Yeah. - Interesting. And then the next tier would be what Ameri and Hampton, Devon and Chase Brown? - Walker, Hampton, H&N. - Oh, interesting. - Brown. - That's probably right. - Maybe it's flooding hairs a little. - Is there a world in which you're taking Chase Brown over Sequan? - No. - So there you go. - I doubt it, yeah. - But there is a world where you were taking Sequan over James Cook. - So what are we staying in practice here? So the guys who take number one are Gibbs or B. John Robinson. And then first rounders for sure are like Christian McCaffrey, John Taylor, and James Cook. - Yep. - And then we're saying the top of round two, the running backs you should be thinking about are, like if you get the first pick around two, you're thinking about Ash and Gentie, Sequan. - Derrick. - Obviously, I like Derrick Henry, but I don't think you even have to take them there. But Henry and then we're saying that toward the end of round two, you'd be really happy if you got Ken Walker, Ameri and Hampton, Devon, H&N, Chase Brown. - Yep. - Okay, yeah. - That actually sounds right. - Yeah. - Does that sound right to you, Deke? - Yeah. - Or, Ameri and Hampton should not be with Sequan. Even though I've- - Hampton, Eric Hampton, like you just don't know. - It's funny because all we did while you were gone, Craig was glazed the chargers. And yet, Ameri and Hampton is a player individually. I'm so much more confident in Ash and Gentie than I am in Ameri and Hampton as a player. But everything about Ameri and Hampton's surroundings are so much better. Like if Ash and Gentie and Ameri and Hampton were flipped. - Oh yeah. - Ash and Gentie's like, what? - He'd be like, fourth pick in the fucking drive. - Yeah. We like, I probably might take him over to the referee with the six pick, but because they're flipped, I don't know what to do with either of them. There's so much witch casting that Hampton could be everything we want him to be or the Raiders can, but no, I agree that, yeah. - Hampton is exciting. - Hampton is one of the more, he's probably the most polarizing player of the top 20. Just in terms of like, what do you do with him? Because there's all this like, well, how much work is he really gonna get? Keaton Mitchell's there. Like, is he actually even good? All the underlying metrics suggest that he might not even be good. Wait, can we do a fun game called DK, am I making this up or did this really happen? Cause you have not the greatest memory anymore? - Sure. - True or false? Not you hear us kind of outplayed, oh hand, Mary and Hampton, even have to be high entry. - That can't be true. - That can't be, that can't be, that can't be your way. - Like, not you hear us like, maybe a little? - That's not what I remember. - For five seconds. - I would say-- - I'm going for a run play. - Yeah. - All three games? - No, not you hear us on a team currently? - Well, no, he blood is a killiest after her desire. But, you know, no. But I think more, the Hampton I think is first team all bonk, which is just, you know, people are six to midnight for him. But the guy that I actually want to ask, we have not talked about this guy, and I don't know what to do with him. Is Devon H&N. And we have Devon H&N back to, for the Miami Dolphins, back-to-back with Chase Brown for the Bengals. And I think this is also perfect to have these guys back-to-back. Cause they're completely opposite. Devon H&N is the sexiest running-back imaginable. He's the fastest running-back in the NFL. He's a genuinely elite receiver. He actually has good running-back skills. Like, he's good vision. He's actually good between the tackles for someone who weighs like 185 pounds or whatever he does. Like, he has all the running-back skills, all the running-back speed. On the absolute worst team imaginable, and the Dolphins are favored to have the worst record in the NFL, and they're like accused of tanking. And the Dolphins are the Vegas favorite to get the number one pick. And then you have Chase Brown, who's frankly probably one of the more average skill sets in the NFL for running-back, in the absolute sexiest environment imaginable on Joe Burrow and Jamar Chase. And the off-coolest Dolphins for an average player or an elite player in the worst Dolphins in the NFL, maybe. And I have no idea what the fuck I'm supposed to look at those guys next to each other. - I always lean towards, I'd rather have the guy on the good team. I think you know in the season before it starts you're like giving the good player and then the season starts and you're like God, I wish I had the guy. I don't think I would have ever guessed this, but I'm looking just literally looking at receptions. Chase Brown had more receptions last year than Tavane Chan. The the the tough thing about these two guys is like there is no discount for them. Like no, Tavane Chan is going 13th overall and Chase Brown is going 15th. I was going to come into this episode and be like I'm going to chase Brown. He's underrated. Well, 15th is not underrated, man. 15th is about as fucking high as he could be. Like the thing about him is when he's actually playing with Joe Borough, he's fantastic. And I think there's no bigger gap in reputation versus production than Chase Brown. Yeah. Because nobody thinks about him or talks about him. But if you just look at last year, he closed 2025. He played six games of Borough. In those six games, he was the RB2 in fantasy chase Brown. He's getting 20 touches a game. He's he had eight touchdowns in six games. And it's funny because if you go back the year before that even, it's kind of the exact same thing. He finished his 2024 season with like eight games with Joe Borough when he kind of became a starter. He was the RB5 over that stretch. So you're like, fuck, man, every time this guy's playing with Joe Borough, he's a top five running back. And there's a lot of that no confidence is being like does Borough the patience to think and dunk his way down the field? Like we take away Jamar Chase and Tiggins. Can we just make Borough hold on and hold on? He's actually going to have the patience to check out. He's by far the third thing, the fourth thing you are thinking about if you're a defense. You're like, fuck, Jamar Chase, Joe Borough, Tiggins. Oh, yeah. I guess chase Brown's over there. Yeah. You pick your poison at every defense. It's like him. We're going to pick him. And he's just like top five. Every time he starts and finishes a game with Joe Borough. It's weird. Yeah. I don't know. Yeah. He had over 300 touches last year quietly. He's the RB 2 with Borough. Two. Two. Two. I think we got it. Yeah. I don't know. You got to take chase Brown over Devon HN. It's painful. That sounds I don't have a rank that way. Right now, but just talking about it, I think I got to switch it. It's weird because let me ask if the weird thing about ranking HN 2 is that the dolphins are like the Cardinals that God, I can't say dolphins. Even I heard it that time. Dolphins. Dolphins. Dolphins. Dolphins. Dolphins. Dolphins. Is that a New York accent or do I just have a speech in bed? It's New York. Dolphins. Dolphins. Dolphins. I don't know why that almond. That's I'm right. You're not. You're not. Do I pronounce the letter that's in the word? Yeah. Oh, don't give me. Don't fuck me. Okay. Most of the time please. Okay. Find me another word of an L is in the second letter. You don't pronounce it. Palm. Second letter in your hand. Second letter of the word letter. But it's what, but it's the sound. Palm. A L M and almond. Palm. It's the same structure. It's also it's it's palm. It's not palm. So you know what I'm saying that right? You really? Palm. Just the way. Yeah. It doesn't fall like palm. You say palm of your hand. Palm of your hand. You put on a palm. It lip balm. Palm. Palm. You're palm of your head. Lip balm. Palm of your head. Yeah. Palm. Palm of your head. You're sorry to sound like you're from Boston. Palm. Palm. What's that? Palm of your head. I've never said the Ellen. Palm of your hand. Palm. Palm. That's a wild. Do you say palm trees? Palm trees. Oh, palm trees. I wonder, you know why? I wonder if that's because palm trees. I do say palm trees. Yeah. But I don't say palm of your hand. Shit. Oh, wow. All right. I need to know if this is a thing about New York and some time tonight and bed. Tonder the universe. Shit. Anyway, I don't want to Von H. Jim. I the one thing I'll say is it's weird because can I just say one thing about the chance that we regret it? Okay. You know, like Lamar, the Ravens signed Derek Henry. And I think we accurately were like, that was the coolest thunder lightning back to Linneville history. We're like, this is thunder and lightning. Lamar's the fastest quarterback. Derek Henry is a unique player. Like, there's never anything like this. There's never been anything in NFL history like a Malik will us to Von H and read up read option or whatever. Like, that's not quite as sexy. But Malik will us as the fastest quarterback in NFL and Devon H. Jim's the fastest running back. I would care more if the Dolphins offensive line wasn't so wack and young and inexperienced. But I keep wondering about like if the dolphins are going to suck. And then they'll be down so much every fourth quarter that like Devon H. Jim's just going to catch all these check downs. Yeah. But the idea of telling people, hey, you got one fan. It's a leaky care about take Devon H. And because he's so good that when they're down 21 and the fourth quarter, he'll get all these check downs. Like, I just the idea of telling people that feels insane. So I don't know. Yeah, I don't also just don't know to make a Bobby Slowick offensive coordinator. And Kevin Patulo, who was thrown overboard by the, you know, Patulo being there. Wait, and is it is Shay Waldron and Miami or is he in Jacksonville? He's in Jacksonville. Fade everyone. He's kind of promoted this year. Yeah, I don't know. Anyway, the other thing about Cincinnati is like they didn't they they're not they clearly think it's Chase Brown. They have it's still just Somage P. Ryan's 30 and Taj Brooks. Like, yeah, it's it's Chase Brown's world. Yeah, that's true. It's weird. I have like a blind spot with Chase Brown. So these are all second round players. These are all if you got them in the second round, you'd be at the end of the second round. If Ken Walker, Hampton, H. Chinner, Brown fell, he'd be you feel great. But paying the price they're going at feels a little weird. If Chase Brown won the Highsman at Ohio State and was a first round pick and and and then had the exact same first three years of his career that he had just had, would he be a first round draft breaking fantasy? Yes. If you won the Highsman at Ohio State, 100%. Same exact statistics on the Bengals. Same situation. He's probably going eighth. If not higher probably. But he didn't crag. It's there because that that matters. That means like he's not a it's it's an environment thing, not necessarily a skill thing. And if you won the Highsman, I'm assuming you'd have better skill. The next tier here is so we have Josh Jacobs. We have Jeremiah Love for the Cardinals. We have Breeze Hall for the Jets. Javonte Williams for the Cowboys. Kyron Williams for the Rams. And then I don't know we have much to edit there because then we have Travis, the form artist formerly known as Travis the TN who's not Travis HN for the Saints. Dionterus Swift for the Bears, Dave Montgomery for the Texans. I kind of think we should cleave it somewhere in the middle there. These guys are all kind of lead backs with like just multiple questions about them. Yeah. I think there's I think there's a really clean top 12 at running back and then you start to get worried. People already pissed about Pat and Nate Hackett's quotes about Jeremiah Love. It's already just mad. Just trolling everyone. These coaches can't help themselves. He was like, yeah, I'm super excited about James Conner getting in here and yeah, if you know Jeremiah Love, he's definitely a rookie. It's like, okay, come on guy. I wonder, I wonder, like is there any chance that like second half of the season, Jeremiah Love's like the fifth best running back in fantasy? Is there any chance of that? Of course. I just think the Cardinals need to be better than I think because here's a question. It's just about Matt Laflour. So how many what if Matt Laflour was a great coach? It's sorry, not I keep getting it wrong. Mike Laflour. Matt's little brother. God damn it. I should know that it's a little brother, but it's just that. It's Mike Laflour is a way better coach than we think. His only stennis coordinator was for the jazz of Zach Wilson. I won't punish him because I think Zach Wilson sucks. My issue with the Cardinals and Mike Laflour is they have the hardest schedule in the NFL for Warn Sharp. They're I don't know if they're favorite to win any games, maybe like two of the 17. My issue is everyone in the NFC West knows what Mike Laflour is trying to do better than he does. Like Sean McVey Kyle Shanahan have a much better understanding of what Mike Laflour is trying to do on offense than Mike Laflour does. And then there's Mike McDonald who who just beats the shit out of McVey. It certainly beats the shit out of Shanahan every year. And so my issue is trying to run a system like your copy. I don't know. It's like trying to start a phone company and challenge Apple. Like Mike Laflour having a setup shop in the NFC West is like terrible. And you look at everything they're doing and I just I think that's a very difficult situation to have success with with Arizona. But having said that, maybe he's a great coach, but I'm just very dubious that they go out there and also want to put a ton of tread on the tires for Jeremiah Love in his season that the Cardinals are tanking and probably want to go get a quarterback, man. Like they probably want like 2027 assets. So I'm out on Jeremiah Love. I feel like long term, he's going to have a great career. But I feel like this is not what good rookie years look like. I don't know. But also gentle. He's kind of for the second half. I don't last. He's kind of one of those guys that's probably priced around where he's his ceiling is for this year. Because you know, like environment wise, the Cardinals could be really, really bad. Like they did just resign. They they renegotiated a contract with Jacobi percent. So I think he's going to be the starter. Probably the majority of the season. But you know, they're playing a really, really hard schedule. I think that could even though last year they played a ton of plays and had a ton of passes and things like that is probably going to be fewer possessions. They're not going to move the ball that well. So it's going to be a not very good team. We do the Cardinals in the season. They might just see what's going on with Carson back. And then that could be really bad. Dude, the teams the Cardinals have to play Chargers week one, Seahawks week two, Niners week three, the Giants week four, they're only respite. And then it's Lions, Rams, Broncos, Cowboys, Seahawks, Rams, Chiefs. We should do an episode in like late August where we've I we identify the 10 players we hate the most this season and determine which one of them is going to be great. Or just what if you built the whole plane out of what if you just solely made a team out of the players we don't like and then that was the key. Like three of them are on the Cardinals. But yeah, the Costanza team. Yeah, just stack the Cardinals. Anyone else in this tier standout to you guys? I kind of wanted to talk about Javonte Williams a little bit who I don't want to say is flying into the radar because I feel like people know who they are. We had a great season last year. And again, his prices, where he's going in draft is like fine, it's like average. He's going 31st, so like third, fourth round, which maybe even feels a little bit steep, but like Giovante Williams, 26 years old, last year he had 1200 yards and 13 touchdowns on the Cowboys. Just kind of stepped in, was the guy, looked good, was good, the Cowboys offensive line seems to be not back to where it used to be with Zeke, but is like improving. And as a guy who was just always on the field, he was like seventh in goal to go rushing attempts. He was fifth in, or he was seventh in snaps inside the five, he was ninth in rushing attempts per game. He was also fifth in yards after contact per carry. Like, Giovante Williams was very good last year. On an offense that I trust, with a quarterback that I trust and an environment that I trust. And I guess other than, you know, he had significant injuries earlier in his career, but I'm kind of like, is Giovante Williams safe? - Especially 'cause there's not a lot of competition behind him, I mean, I think Jaden Blue is kind of projected as the number two guy there. They have Phil Moffa, Malik Davis, Israel, Bonaconda, just a bunch of sort of Rando guys. And Jaden Blue is not the same type of running back. He's more of like a change of pace type guy. So yeah, I think-- - Jaden Blue is a change of pace electric game breaker. He's also getting padded on the back 'cause he's more mature than he was last season when Jaden Blue, he missed a practice in the middle of October because his custom Nike cleats, I think it was like Nike Balenciaga, they didn't fit. So he couldn't play. So he was just like, I can't practice today. And like, they're like, you know what? The maturity's coming along. You think that's fair, Craig? - Well, look, if the Balenciaga's don't fit, what are you gonna do? You're not gonna show up with-- - That was a Johnny Cockret said. - Yeah. - So you must quit. So the, I, to your point, I think that people look at it and like, oh, this is like a fragile backfield, like Javonte Williams could lose his job. But I'm like, I don't know. I think the Cowboys are pretty happy with the bell cow from top down. I think Jerry Jones, I think. And then, frankly, Shottonheimer, Brian Shottonheimer, I don't know. All these coaches seem pretty comfortable giving him a ton of carers. It's weird to think the Cowboys could be the best offense in the NFL and that they're running back for the Cowboys could just be like outside the top 40 picks. - Yeah, they signed up to an extension. He didn't catch a lot of passes last year, but he's a guy who has in the past. Like he said, 50 catch seasons, Javonte Williams, so-- - So this is something I didn't know about Javonte Williams. Once again, citing Rich Remar, he has great stuff. Javonte Williams, I didn't realize, is one of the least productive receivers ever for running back. If you just look at guys who had 25 catches in a season, Javonte Williams last year had under four yards of catch, which is the second worst mark ever. Which I'm not gonna lie. I didn't realize that he was that bad with the ball in space. Like there was kind of-- - Yeah, but even before that, he averaged 6.7 per catch. - Okay, no. - Can we do six seven, six point seven? - We're not engaging anymore with that. - That part. (laughs) - That part? - Yeah. - I actually agree, Javonte stands out as he's like the James Cook guy. - Yeah, I'm just like-- - Yeah, I don't know. - He'll have the exact same season. It's like every one guy at each position is regression proof and we'll actually just be to do the exact same thing. Someone's gonna do it. - Yeah, I like, I look at him and I'm like, I guess once again, other than maybe you're worried he's gonna get hurt. I don't see like a lot of issues there. I'm like, yeah, I guess I'll just take him. - So does this tear end? We've Josh Jacobs, Jeremiah Love, Breast Hall. Who, not for me. Javonte Williams, Kyron Williams, and do we end the tear there? - Probably. - And we cut off ETN Swift and Montgomery. - We had travisation there, but I mean, Alvin Camaro's like not retiring. We kind of thought he was. I mean, Alvin Camaro. - The saint's thought he was. - Dude, the actual thought he was. - Apparently, Gayle Benson, the owner of the saint's got involved that she wanted him to stay 'cause she understands about psych tickets, which he's right. My thing is, are you pulling Alvin Camaro on passing downs? Like, is he gonna be less than the third down back? I'm like, no way, right? So are you pulling Alvin Camaro at the goal line? There's a chance to travisate yet. Like, there's a chance to travisate you and you have to play him every way to get him. He wants the pronunciation of his name reverted back to how his family knows. - I'm very close to just saying no. - So I think the answer is, speaking of people's name in Camaro's, popcorn, the kettle, like, I think that Davos Swini, the king of Camaro's name, couldn't get travisate HN's name right and called him travisate TN, and then he had to roll with it 'cause he was at Clemson, and he just because Davo couldn't get it right, which ironic 'cause I don't think any coach is an harder name than Davos Swini. - Travis has a brother, Trevor. ETN, did he change his name too, or is he still going by ETN? - Oh, interesting, he's on the panthers, right? - Yeah, can we ask him what he thinks? He's probably just like, I don't care. - Well, it's crazy, I'm not playing this enough to be able to do that. The problem is we have to acknowledge it every time now where else we look like we don't know what we're talking about to a certain percentage of you. - If Davon HN didn't exist, this wouldn't be an issue. But because it now it sounds like we're just conflating to play it, it sounds like we're dumb. - Yes, so it's eh, I'm very close to just being like, which is T-T-N. - To be clear, I am dumb, but it's 'cause I didn't know, I didn't really put out the L in palm. Like that's why I'm dumb, but anyway, I-- - My problem is I'm feeling-- - Is that he's saying Pam? It's two M's. - Pam, are you saying Pam? - Pam, Pam. - Pam? Oh, there's two M's. Nope, there's just one M. - I feel like Travis HN is probably gonna be really, I was really excited about him before Camera, but the idea that I could watch him be Davon Montgomery and just kind of plot along on first and second down, Camera gets all the catches, and Camera gets the goal line work, is like, man, that would suck if you took Travis HN round four, and then he just kind of grind it out, 85 yards for like not that many catches, and not having, I don't know, I just, that really, having, I don't wanna have a franchise legend around who's like really good at all this, a catch is worth three times more than a carry. - T-N had six touchdowns in the air last year, if those evaporate. - Yeah, so I don't know what to do with him. We'll see how, maybe Camera's totally washed and as a figure head, we'll see what happens. - You're right, Jake, if this tear should be Josh Jacobs, Jeremiah Love, Breeze Hall, Javante Williams, and then Kyron Williams, I think we can discuss, because he's a guy who if you base him on past performance, 100% should be in this year. - Probably be. - He might even be in the one above that, but the Blake Corum, is this ever gonna happen thing? It's still in people's minds even though we've been saying this that he's gonna lose his job, and he never really does. - I love Corum, it's a mix of two issues I have, which is, guys, running back to coach's love, don't just lose their jobs, especially like things aren't going wrong for the Rams. Like things, everything's good, you know what I mean? Like they're great. Kyron Williams is 25 years old. - They extended him. - I don't know why they would make a significant change unless Blake Corum is so undeniably good that they need to force him onto the field. - And I think that's why Kyron should be the tear above, 'cause you wouldn't take the unjust swift over Kyron, you wouldn't take Dave and Montgomery over Kyron, like I think the next tear should be, it's lead guys and lead guys of a committee that you have questions about. Travis H. Yann, we have to, you know, is he gonna get passing in goal and work? The unjust swift for the Bears, which is, you know, I think that, can that happen again? What happens at left tackle with the Bears? Don't actually have like a perfect line solution again, and also just common on guy. Does he play more the goal line? Dave, Montgomery for the Texans, which is like, do the Texans figure out their offensive line and can Montgomery actually make it through a whole season as the main guy? And then I think the, and then if we wanna put Bucky Irving in there, I don't know. Man, Bucky's fallen so far here. - Bucky's in a really interesting conversation to have. - He's, this is an impossible decision with Bucky. - I can't tell where I was at. I originally came in being like, is this guy like a really obvious Bilow bounce back? But then I'm like, looking at the guys going around him and I'm looking at what Tampa Bay did. It's so fascinating because his rookie year, I mean, he had 1,500 yards, he had eight touchdowns. He just looked amazing. - A fourth round pick in real life, who was, he just came out of nowhere and was immediately great. And then last year, you know, Liam Cohen leaves and then the whole buck season was kind of a mess. Bucky Irving had a bad shoulder injury. He had a foot injury. This is a lot going on. - Baker got hurt, the offensive line got hurt. - Both tackles were hurt last year. The two guards had season ending injuries. Like it was a mess. But now it's like, you know, they brought in Kenneth Walker. I mean, sorry, Kenneth Gainwell, who they gave two years, 14 million buck. The Steelers MVP, Kenneth Gainwell, is now on the bucks. And you think, oh, well, I mean, shit, is Kenneth Gainwell going to get all the passing work, is Kenneth Gainwell going to get a lot of the stuff inside the 10 yard line, which Bucky Irving was not a guy who saw a lot of that work last year inside the 10. But then you think, well, his rookie year, he was with Rashad Wright and they almost split carries. And Bucky Irving was still fantastic. And the buck's offensive line is still very good if they're healthy. So I kind of can't tell which Bucky Irving narrative I want to believe. - I mean, they gave Ken Gainwell 10 million guarantees. - A lot of my year, I think what that money is for is so Baker may feel it doesn't get the shit kicked out of them. Like, if you just watched Baker last year, his best and worst quality is the willingness to take punishment. But he does need an outlet. And what the Bucky Irvings were missing 'cause they Rashad Wright went to Washington. I think, you know, as you said, it's a joke, but Gainwell did win the MVP for the Steelers for a reason. It's hard to win Aaron Rodgers' trust. You have to know you are shit as a running back for Aaron Rodgers to have you in protecting, like, functionally the end of his career if he takes another hit. And I think the Bucks need that for Baker 'cause the other running backs in the roster, Sean Tucker is not gonna be that guy in passing down work. And I don't think they can, I think they feel that Bucky unreliable feels mean. But like, there was weird stuff with his injury. I don't, I think he might have taken a beat to tell them about the full extent of his shoulder. I don't really understand what happened there. - He had a terrible, he had a really bad season. There was also, there were like, - Reporting that he was having some issues with like mental health as well. - Yeah. I think there was basically a sprinkling of everything that could go wrong last year with Bucky Irving did. He still averaged 20 touches a game, which I think is worth saying, which is fourth in the NFL. He played 10 games, so it didn't play a full season, but he averaged 20 touches per game. This is, to me, it's impossible. We don't know what's gonna happen. It's impossible to tell you what's gonna happen. I think if you look at the rookie year stats, the rookie year advanced stats, Bucky was one of the best running backs in the NFL, and then his second year advanced stats, he was one of the worst in the NFL. I think he's probably somewhere in the middle. I think he's probably better than what he was last year. I do think Gainwell last year, I think he averaged like seven targets a game, or what did he have? He's like basically Aaron Rodgers number two receiver, because Aaron Rodgers just wanted to get rid of the ball. Aaron Rodgers was literally dead last in the NFL and attempted Ariards per 10. Yeah, Ken Walker is dumping the ball. He was just dumping the ball. I mean, Ken Gainwell, yeah. Because Rodgers is doing one and a half reeds. He's looking where he wants to go, and then he gets like, if the real guy's there, he throws it. And Baker Mayfield, by the way, is kind of the exact opposite of that. Baker is always trying to push the ball down the field. He's fucking ripping it, man. He just wants to rip it. Do you want me to do this again? He's fucking ripping passes. That's all I want to do. I don't know if he's gonna really like be, like relying on Gainwell that way. Does Baker, do you think Baker rips passes more than any other quarterback can do? And if so, who's number two? Who's second? Who rips the second most passes? Fucking Matt Staffers. Who rips the second hardest? Matt Staffers. Matt Staffers probably arguably rips passes harder than Baker Mayfield. If we're all the time rips passes later. That's why I love that video of DK just saying that he's gonna rip passes. He's supposed to get back there and rip passes. Every time I hit the chance, he just wants to, he's gonna be ripping passes till the day he dies, man. But yeah, no, I think so. That to me is like a very big difference in terms of the tenor of the offense, I guess, is like Baker Mayfield wants to rip the ball down the field as stated. And Aaron Rogers, last year, was just trying to get rid of the ball before he gets clobbered. There's a huge difference. And so I don't know. And then the other variable here, which we didn't mention, is Sean Tucker is kind of their red zone guy. And he's good. And he's just a hammer, a hammer, a hammer looking for a nail. He just wants to fucking, he just runs through people. He's an old, he would have fit in with Mike, next to Mike Allstock. Sean Tucker is like this old school guy. He was undrafted, but only he had a heart condition that came out right before the draft. But he would have been like a fourth or fifth round pick, like he just ran out of carries. Rip scares. So I don't know what the hell would do with Bucky Irving. I think there's a world in which he gets a bunch closer to what we saw as a rookie. And he's one of the better running backs in the NFL. That's, I think that's a distinct possibility. And Ken Gainwell ends up not being not all that useful. He's kind of, he goes back to what Rashad White was sort of. And then, but there's also a world in which Bucky just kind of gets phased out of all the important, and at least in fantasy, important touches, which is catches and goal-line stuff. So it's, this is a tough one. - We'll have to figure out where to rank Bucky. Right now, are we putting him in the same tiers? Travis H. and Swift among Garmy. I think he should be with Trevian, Henderson, Quinshund, Junk, and Scatabo, and Mamondri. - Yeah, probably. - You don't think all those, I feel like all those are just together to me. Like, if somebody wanted to take Trevian, Henderson over Dave and Montgomery, like I have no problem with that. - That's fine with me. - Okay, I'm okay with that. The, anyone in this tier stand out to you? It's a funny tier. - The one below it? - No, it's just so it's H. and Swift. Dave and Montgomery, Bucky Irving. We're adding Trevian, Henderson, Quinshund, Junkins, Cam, Scatabo, and Stevenson. I'm not objective. How do you, Craig, how do you feel about Scatabo? - I know, I was listening to you guys talk to Josh and Hayden about Scatabo. I'm so fucking in on this guy. I want this maniac on my team. Are you kidding me? I don't give a shit about his ankle injury. He just did a backflip and fell, and he was fine. That makes me feel good. Boone does that little flipie boy. You hate it. Well, Scatabo does the little flipie boy you love it. - Does he have any or an ankle? He broke his tibia. - He broke his tibia, so buff. But it was, it was fine. He looks fine. - He's working on those ghosts. - Also, he jumped too high. He said he was on it. He didn't realize he was on like a WWE style bouncy mat. So it elevated him higher than he thought. Anyway, dude, I just want this type of guy wants to score more fantasy points than I want him to. And he didn't even realize it. Like I cam Scatabo will fight for every yard. I want him on my team. He was the RB7 in six healthy games last year. Like this guy gets a six. He gets the ball a ton. He's a fucking maniac. He can catch passes. He was, by the way, he was on pace to be fourth among all running backs and receiving yards last year. He was on pace for 500 yards. I'll be a deal, it was only six full games he played 'cause the other two, he got hurt basically. And he only played four games with Jackson Dart. But like the Tyrone Tracy thing, I don't care. I think Scatabo is gonna be better with Greg Roman. And I just want this crazy motherfucker on my team. (laughing) Dude, I couldn't agree more. Scat, you know, all the old heads in every sport are kinda like, you guys couldn't have played back in my day. No one's ever said that I cam Scatabo. He's just fucking crazy and I want him. He's gonna be good. If he's on the field, I guarantee you he will be good. - At fantasy or in real life? - Both. - I agree. He's fucking nuts and that's huge. - If he can start the game and finish the game, I see no world in which he's not scoring 15 fantasy points a game. Like I just think he's gonna, he's gonna do it. They're gonna give him the ball, he's crazy. - All of the things that you're saying are true and that's the reason I don't want him. - 'Cause he's crazy. - Yeah dude, I want him. - Who cares? - He's like, he's fucking hot, look. - He's a hot person. - He probably believes in asthma. That's why we can't record his high. - Yeah, whatever dude, Scatabo is your third running back is like the perfect spot for him to be in. He's just like the crazy wild card on your team. I want that. - Yeah, you need one, you need one crazy guy. - I mean look, I'll be at six games, not a huge sample size, but he was a rookie. And he played six games. - Well wait, I'll speak into which. - He's the army of seven in those games. I mean the team sucked. - I have to pull it up. Did you see the boy math he did with his yards for this year? Speak, you know I love the idea of Scatabo doing math. Did you guys see this? - Is boy math the thing that I missed? Is that a phrase that I'm unaware of? Yeah, this girl math and this boy math. - I didn't know that. - I don't know. - Oh, come on. Please email us examples of girl math and boy math if you're listening, that would be really great. If any of the seven are listening, I want girl math, I also want boy math. So Scatabo, this is God. I can't believe we haven't talked about this yet. And I can't believe I get to tell you guys this. This is a quote from came Scatabo. I had 400 yards and 100 carries. So when I play 17 games, it's gonna be 300 carries for 2,000 yards. - That's wrong. I had 100 carries for 400. So this year, I'll have 300 yards. - Maybe he was factoring in receiving. - Look, we can't speculate what he was factoring. - That makes me like him more. Like he thinks he's gonna get to 2,000, even if it doesn't make any sense. I love that. - It's like 60% of the time it works every time. - Yeah. - Did you also see the Matt Naggy PTSD thing? - No. - I wanted this to be fake, so bad. Matt Naggy for the Giant's Office. - Oh, I didn't see this. - I saw this. - I saw this. He had a PowerPoint. I can't believe the giants are still fucking doing own goals from inside their building. He had the presentation, it was physical, tough, smart, detailed, physical, tough, smart, detailed, P-T-S-D. - Oh my God. - That's not gonna rest in development. - Yeah, what the fuck is going on with these people? - Well, then did you see Harbots, each that looked like he forgot he had to speak that morning and just-- - Oh yeah. - Who are your giants? - When you got giants, they're in this room. The giants. - He's vamping while he fingers out. - Everyone's like, "Yeah, dude, we just got for 20 years." What are you talking about? - It was crickets in there, sounds of silence. - The only exciting thing anyone said to me is that if Greg Roman only does the run game and Matt Naggy only does the pass game, they actually could be pretty good together, which may be happy, so maybe if they just don't speak and they just separately. I will say, the P-T-S-D thing, just when I was starting to talk myself into fanbrained giants will be good. - I'm very worried. I kept waiting for someone to identify at his AI. And I, to my knowledge, is that okay? - Cannot be emphasized enough that chiefs were just like, "Yeah, you can go, we're fine." - Is the new I got hacked, it was AI. - 100%, 100%. Hockey is like a joke, no one's believed that in a long time. AI, it's like, man, it's a lot of work to prove, I don't know how to prove that anymore. - Greg, you watched the John Harboss speech on a scale of one to 10, 10 being physically painful, you have to turn it off. How bad was that speech? - In the context of what an NFL coach should be doing, I thought it was like an eight. (laughing) - NFL coaches are pretty good at this stuff. Like that color, and their whole thing, especially a fucking harboh, like on the harboh scale, it might have been a disadvantage. - He's been coaching for like 25 years. - Everything his brother says makes me want to, everything his brother says makes me want to run through a wall. He just like Jim Harboh coughs and I'm like, I'm ready to go. And like John Harboh speaks to like, geez. - I was like afraid he was gonna get the name of the team rock. Like he had to remind himself. He was like, we are the, we're the New York giants. And I was like, are we the giants? - We're the giants, right? - We're the giants. - He's like, wearing a purple hoodie. - Oh wait, we're the giants. - We're the giants? - We are the San Francisco giants. (laughing) - Oh my God. - I don't know. - There's so many fucking parallels to the Pete Carroll era in Las Vegas, I've like started to get really nervous for the giants. - This year, it's tough. - Yeah. He's 63, I don't know. (laughing) - Isn't Tom Cruise 63? - Yeah, he's fine. - He's fine. - Although Tom Cruise is playing an old man in a movie, so. - Dude, that movie Craig looks insane. - Which guy? - Well, it's a made up character. It's a movie called Digger. You know, he's basically playing Jerry Jones. That's who he's playing. - What? - Look at the way the guy buys a football team. - I don't think the football team thing is part of it. - He's an oil man. - It's like a rich billionaire, old oil man from the South who's like, fraudulent investments are potentially gonna lead to like a cataclysmic climate issue in the world. And but his like behavior and his style, it's like, kind of Jerry Jones is. - Yeah, yeah. - Oh wow. So it's like, Landman Jerry Jones. - Yeah. - Paul Todd, there will be blood. - It's like, Landman Jerry Jones made investments. That's gonna cause like the oceans to rise so much that the world's gonna end. - It's kinda sick. - Yeah. - Do you see France as a fire cloud? - Excuse me? - There are these wildfires in Europe that are super rare. A lot of once in a century things happening all the time now. So France says, I was reading the New York Times like just kinda, I wasn't like reading it all smart. I was just scrolling. - I don't say, okay, flex. - I know, I do kind of scroll through the New York Times now. - Reading is like the wrong word. I was scrolling but like trying to scroll a different app for once. - It's like, I was playing Wordal, but yeah, I was technically. - I was playing Wordal and by accident, I saw that France had a fire cloud. I was like, what'd you say? And they said, there is this thing called, so apparently wildfires can create their own weather. And it said, we're dealing with this rare phenomenon of a pyro-cumulonimbus cloud. - It's called a fire cloud. - It's literally, it's a fire cloud. And it's a cloud not made of fire, but it rains fire instead of rain. It rains lightning bolts and fire but not water. - It's like that. - Oh no, it didn't. - From Armageddon, where he's like, okay, so pretty much a scariest environment. - Okay, got it. - If you guys see, I can't believe this is Paramount, just announced a new movie called Fire Cloud starring Dwayne the Rock Johnson and Jason Statham. - Are you serious? - You joking? - I don't know. - I'm joking, but like I do believe it. - I did believe you. - Is it too late to get in the Tom Cruise movie? 'Cause that's not great. - Greenlight that Fire Cloud starring Jason Statham is immediately $200 million. - Lock it in. - That's amazing. Dude, I think all the time about this thing, Shay Serrano said, which is like, why do they give Jason Statham movies names? - Yeah. - Just call it Jason Statham 7. Jason Statham 8. I'm gonna go see Jason Statham 9. Like, that would be so much better than having to tell me about like the beekeeper. - And like, all the names, like don't even make sense. He has a new movie coming out this summer called Mutiny. It's like, just call it Statham 9. - Call it Statham 9. Like, that's fine. I would love to Statham 14. Like, that's fine. - Yeah. - I do recommend the beekeeper for parents who don't understand how scams work. If your parents open phone calls and are like responding to scamtex, just show them the beekeeper. 'Cause it's like about that. - That's good to know. - I was a Statham fan way back in the day with like a Italian job. - Dude, that's Transformers. Fuck, the Transporter and the Italian job back to back. Dude, handsome Rob and the Italian job's amazing. - Italian job is great. - He wanted to be a Cooper. - Been a while since I've seen it. I should rewatch that movie. - It's so good. - TK, you've seen that? - Which movie? - Italian job. - Yeah. - But they done that in the rewatchable movie. - I like that movie. - No. - Wow, it's a very-- - I know. - Classic, you think that, I mean, Mark Wahlberg. You think-- - Oh. - Charlize, isn't that movie? - Oh my god. - Yeah. - It's great. - He was great in Snatch. - Snatches? - Snatches? - Snatches my favorite least quotable movie ever. 'Cause I don't know what anyone's saying at any given time. But every time they do say something, I remember it. 100% quotable for everything they say. - I think I saw it. - But I remember. - I saw this, I don't know if it's true. I didn't fact check it. But basically, they made Brad Pitt's character, the Mickey, the boxer, into an Irish traveler because he couldn't get the English accent down. So then he just said, like, everything he says is unintelligible movie. - It's a gibberish. (laughing) - It's George, gibberish, that's what it was. - I don't think it was, it's funny, Mark. - It's an all-time close captioning movie. - You really need it. - Yeah, great. - I don't know what it was. - I was having that on, but I, you need it. - Yeah. - It's like what Austin Powers and his dad are trying to speak. What do they do at older times? - Cat on a tent? - Just chat on a tent. - I don't know, like that's basically just the breath. - They're speaking, they're cockney rhyming slang. - Yeah. - Yeah. - Dude, that, oh my god. We should do fantasy analysis with them. Anyway, I guess we have to finish these tears. - Where are we at? - First, we'll go from Shad on a turbot turtle to Chuba Hubbard, who's the running back from the panthers and then we've Jalen Warren, Tony Pollard, Titans, and then Basel Tuton and the Jags. And then we could keep going if you want, but I have the tears basically. - Should there be friends? - These guys are in your lineup. Week one, it now starts to feel gross, which is like Chuba Hubbard, Jalen Warren, Shadarion, Price, and Tony Pollard. If your week one have these guys in your flex, now you're not feeling sick. - This is like everyone has a plan until they get punched in the face to you. - Yeah, these are the fringe guys, kind of the like. - You talk to yourself into them. - The last guys, you could probably put in your flex and think it might work out. - You're convincing yourself. You're like Chuba Hubbard, the guy behind him's Jonathan Brooks. He's played like three games in two years, like that's fine. Jalen Warren, you're talking to yourself in a Hilbee-Keddy game, Wolfgang Rodgers. Like, Jalen Price, first run pick for the seal. I was like, there are reasons you can find, you're looking for reasons now, instead of like finding fears, you're now kind of looking for a story to tell yourself that they could be good. - Yeah, DK, what's the Jalen Price buzz you in? Are you out of it? - It hasn't been great so far, yet. I would say that. - Why? - We're just getting the shit kicked out of the past protection. - No, there was like, there was a report yesterday. So today's Monday the 27th, there was a report, I think I saw yesterday that he like missed a pass or two or something, he was messing up in the passing game. But this was like truly the first couple of practices of OTAs, like our training camp, we don't have to quite worry about it quite yet. But it is, it's one of those things where, I mean, last year, the Seahawks platoon to Kenneth Walker. And, you know, this guy's a rookie, unproven, didn't have a ton of carriers in college. He might not get the volume that you're really needing from him in this offense. And that's why I think he's priced where he is. Even though he's a first-round rookie running back, typically those guys would be way higher, I feel like. But, you know, it's one of those things where you just don't really know how he's gonna be used. - It's weird 'cause the Seahawks admitted they kind of wanted to trade back and not take him in the first round. It's also weird. Also, when I say he's getting the shit kicked out, I don't mean, I guess I should've been clearer 'cause they don't have any pads on. But the Seahawks, if he is able to learn past protection against the Seahawks defense in practice, you're ready for anything. But, yeah, I'm a little dubious. I think he's a better receiver than people think, actually, Gdaring Price. But I'm skeptical that he'll just like be immediately a receiver, but, yeah, maybe ends up in the gold line back. The Seahawks just don't have any other running backs, man, 'cause Kenny McIntosh could be a past protector, but he towards ACL like last July. You got George Chalani, who actually think is good, but he's been a journeyman's the wrong way. He's done much of the end of the level. - Yeah, but he's-- - He's juice though. - You know, a late-round pick that has come in and shown he's been pretty good in the times that he's had opportunities, but it's been few and far between. - And Zack Sharman, he will come back from an ACL, Halloween, like their second October, like he tours ACL in the division around, like, you know, the Seahawks are gonna have to go at least six weeks for that, and so I don't know what they're gonna do, but it's a weird situation. Tony Pollard just feels like we should be excited, but I'm not. And then, "Basial Tutin" is the other guy where he's reminds me of Carlson Lovelin, where I thought that "Basial Tutin" would be, like, my number one sleeper entering the season. And then I just didn't really say along the line would be. He's like a top 60 player. And "Basial Tutin" on some platforms is going over like Joe Borough and Jayden Daniels, which is not what I thought would happen, and I feel unprepared to draft him there. - Yeah. - I think running backs in general are just going very early this year. I think like everyone is sprinting to get running backs. I mean, looking at all, like I said, Chase Brown is going 15th overall in drafts, like even Skataboo, who I just talked about, is coming off a horrible injury, is going 35th overall, like these guys are not, you can't really get a lot of value out of them. - And many of these guys. - And so I do wonder if the strategy this year is if every analyst and every platform is kind of agreed to go heavy running back. I do wonder if you're in a three receiver league, with a flex, if the move is to go receivers this year, just so late his ag, it's a little scary. If you're in a two receiver league, it's still tough because I'm like, there's so many good receivers you can have in those two spots, and the replacement value is so high. But if you're in a three receiver league, I do kind of wonder, I am thinking about it, where it's like, just kind of like blindly trust your gut and walk away, if you're the last pick, I'm like, you could just walk with Justin Jefferson and CD Lamb and not think twice and just deal with running back later. And again, it's been remarkably a healthy position last two years. And part of me is like, maybe avoid the dart throws of who's gonna stay healthy, who's not, but I'm. - I know, it just feels like every one of these guys that you want is gonna be like kind of a reach in terms of where you would expect to get them. Funn it, like the only guys who are not reaches, I guess they're just the guys who are in the first round 'cause you literally can't reach to take first in McCaffrey or something like that. So maybe it's like, you spend your first round pick on a running back and then you let it sit for awhile after a bunch of receivers. - Yeah, the barbell theory, it's like a lot in the beginning and a lot late. And it's like, you know, we call it a hero running back or whatever, but I do think maybe one or two running backs in the first three rounds. And then these guys are not as excited in me. Come back around there guys, like this next group is like Archie Harvey on the Broncosoop. I think everyone wants him to be like Camara and I'm like, he's just Aaron Sprouls to me. I think he's overrated. Blake Corm, who I love, but needs to be Kyron Williams. I think if Kyron Williams got hurt, Blake Corm be great. Even though I'm very excited by Blake Corm, Rico Doudal, who is on the Steelers now. Aaron Jones on the Vikings. Jordan Mason on the Vikings, Kalman Nungai on the Bears, who's like the Dave Montgomery Light for the Bears, Jacob Dobbins, who I don't think will ever stay healthy. I mean, he's literally never played 12 games in a season at Starter. Rashad White, who's time with Washington. Jonathan Brooks, who's like, if you're going for upside, like on paper, Jonathan Brooks for the Panthers is a really exciting player, but I mean, he's literally, Jonathan Brooks was the second on pick who tore his ACL, then retoured his ACL, and I was played three games in two years, and I'm like, maybe he wins the Panthers job, but I mean, he had never even played in training camp until this week. So I don't know. I'm very, I'm not as excited about this group at all. I agree. Well, these are all high, high variants, guys, and you can't really expect a whole lot from them. What's the Rico Doutel situation? Are we excited about that at all in Pittsburgh? I think it's going to be a continued split, and I think Jalen Warren's going to get a lot of the passing work, and Rico Doutel's going to be the early down guy, and he'll probably be good. I think Rico Doutel is good, and I think he proved that he was good last year, and even on Doutel's a little bit. So like, I think they're going to be a good one, two points, which is in the case with the Steelers for a while now, is that this one, two points thing. Jalen Warren is not a three down guy, so they kind of need somebody to pair with him. So I mean, he'll have moments, and he'll be fine, and I think he'll get a lot of rushing yards, but passing game, I think we'll, we'll limit him. It's not the Steelers offense. It's the Aaron Rodgers offense, and if Aaron Rodgers decides he wants to have Jalen Warren and passing games, passing down, so it'll be Warren, and if he wants Doutel and passing down, so it'll be him. But all the value in this offense is going to be Aaron Rodgers checking the ball down. What he doesn't want to get hit. Jalen Warren in theory makes more sense, but Rodgers likes who he likes, and so it just, it will have to figure out who his guy is. And we'll probably know, honestly, but you have to just, I do not want anybody on the Steelers that Aaron Rodgers does not have a rapport with. It's never worked out well. And like we'll get, as the off season rolls on, training camp is just starting, like we'll get deeper into like sleepers and things that could pop and stuff like that. But yeah, like these tiers, we'll put these on our Instagram, so you can see the official tiers because I'm sure that sounded confusing trying to follow this listening to us. I do want to just mention a couple of other, a couple sleepers to get out of here that I do think are like really good. People that are like free, like they're like handcuffed guys. Like Tyler L. Gir is like backing up, you know, Jeremiah, he might play for the Cardinals, which is weird as a, you know, he might be a starter. We have to figure out what's going on with Tyler L. Gir and James Conner near his own. Keith Mitchell could be Devon H. Han for the Chargers. He also could be the third down, could lose third down work to C'mon A Vidale. Like there's a lot of sleepers though. Why we have not mentioned is Jonah Coleman that running back for the Broncos. He's like not being drafted. I could so easily see Jonah Coleman being like the waiver wire guy of the entire year, so he goes, the Broncos are expected to be great. I think Archie Harvey's Darren Sprouls and I think Jackie Dobbins, he's again, literally never played star, Jackie Dobbins has never started 12 games in a season. He's been hurt every year of his career. Jonah Coleman is like Cam Scataboo. We joked all draft process, Jonah Coleman is like the thinking man Scataboo because he has the bulk to be in between the tackles. He actually does create explosive plays even if he's not fast. He wins with power. And Jonah Coleman is the past protection and receiving. He has the rare mix of things that play as rookie in Jonah Coleman. I'm like, if Jake, when Jackie Dobbins gets hurt, I think Jonah Coleman's just starting running back for the Denver Broncos and he's not even being taken right now. So I think that that's the guy I like the most is a sleeper. I like that. Jake Coleman coming out and he is the little, he's the, does the little things running back in this class. He's not explosive, but he's, you know, he breaks tackles, he past protects, he can catch the football, smart. I could see him endearing himself to the coaching staff. And there's the big variable here, which is Sean Payton's not calling plays anymore. We'll see how that goes. But yeah, they're expected to be a very good team. They're going to be protecting a lot of leads very likely and trying to run the ball down the stretch in games. He's a, he's a very interesting one to me. Yeah. Any other sleepers you guys like before we get to the hot quarterback rankings, the real reason everyone's here. No, like, no, okay. Hot quarterback rankings. Yes. Let's fucking go. That's continued respectfully. Let's fucking go. Before we even get to the hot quarterback rankings, we have to talk about something. That happened. What Craig was in Hawaii, which is that Jimmy Garoppola is open to playing after considering retirement. Kind of ruining everything for us. Oh, no. Jimmy Garoppola. The whole reason we did the hot quarterback rankings was because Jimmy G was retiring. What do we even do if he doesn't retire? He's not going to be a starter. So does it matter. I mean, it does matter. Come on. Well, maybe we, whoever the seven electes, the new hottest, maybe they, we have to like then put them up against Garoppola for a new way. You can do like UFC is like interim titles, like basically like when the contender can't fight. There's like an interim champion. Yeah. Well, you have to beat the champ right to take the belt. Maybe whoever wins. Then we then we put them up against Jimmy G in a kind of final showdown and they'll get slaughtered. Well, maybe. We don't know. Oh, my God. Okay. So we'll see. He hasn't signed yet. I think he has to sign. So we're still going to keep going with the hot quarterback. Can I ask a question? Did the seven vote, Shadour Sanders, is he included in this or no? Some people put Shadour and some people just solely out of spite put the Shawn Watts in last. So some people do not include Shadour because they didn't think it would be the starter. Yeah. Some people had, yeah, some people put balls. Some people put neither, but some people put the Shawn Watts in last solely to be mad at him. But if Shadour, let's say he did chart high enough, would he, will he be, would he be included or no? I can tell you that Shadour receives enough votes that he was ranked in this exercise. It wasn't like eight. Yeah. It was dozens, more than dozens of people. We have pretty sad. That is sad. Yeah. That's a wild card right there. Interesting. So with that said, are you guys ready for the 5th, 6th, 7th and 8th hottest quarterbacks in the NFL? This is an as determined by all seven women to listen to the fantasy football show. We're getting so close. Pretty close. Yeah. We're going to have Mena Kimes on to do the top four next week. This is, this is as good as it gets. Top eight, these are, these are hot men, we're just going to say. So just to recap, just to recap the hots, the, just do 15, start with 15 and work your way down. So the top, the top 15, well, the 16th is Jackson Star, 15th is Tyler Schuck, 14th is Jan Daniels, 13th is Brock Pertie, which DK had 32nd and Craig had like eight or something 10th. Yeah. Bryce Jung was 12, Matt Stafford was 11, Baker Mayfield's 10, Caleb Williams was nine. A lot of people thought that was too low. Are you guys ready for the 8th, hottest quarterback in the NFL? Oh, man. Lay it on us. Lay it on us. I'm curious to say. Yeah. Correct. Did you cheat? Because the answer is it is should do or sin. Oh, is it? Wow. Did you cheat? No, no, no. To be honest, I had him fourth and I was worried that he wouldn't be included. And then I was, we were going to have to be like, well, Shadour is technically, should probably be like a top 10 guy. I think he's a very handsome dude. I think he hates a little low. Right. Shadour is very handsome. And if only he were better and not on Cleveland, I think you're going to start and ruined it for Shadour. Yeah. The stink of Dishon. I think it's on Shadour. Yeah. It's true. Fuck. It's the Cleveland stink and the Dishon stink is on Shadour. Also, he's bad. But if he were good, I mean, someone put, he had, they said Shadour is a megawatt smile. Yeah. He's like a great smile. He's like a red smile. He looks really. He doesn't have veneers even. Yeah. He could be like, he's a, he's an, he's like an actor like this is like, as we get into the top few here, it's like veneers are like fake boobs were like, and those things are all natural, baby. But look at those shoppers. They're all natural. Yeah. They feel like bags of sand. Yeah. I mean, I think he definitely deserves to be on this list. But yeah, it's, it's tough because he has so many things working against him in that he's next to Dishon Watson every day. He's on the fucking Browns. He's also not very good. The Browns stink. So it's like in a vacuum, he's, he's definitely a good looking dude, but everything around him is a mess. Can I, can I reach you some of the comments the seven wrote about Shadour Sanders? Please do. Megawatt smile and an unexpectedly measured temperament through the ups and downs of his rookie year, help his case for hotness, but Shadour was not alive for 9/11, and is therefore a baby, and as such can only be cute and not hot. The one thing that I did not consider when making my rankings, perhaps naively, is the age thing. I kind of was just like, this guy have charisma and is he physically hot. I did not consider like, he's a boy, so I'm not attracted to him. But he's not baby face. Like, Kim Ward is baby face. Kim Ward could pass his eyes. Like Brought Purdy's baby face, but Shadour, I don't think he is. The other someone else wrote about Shadour Sanders, hot, but selfish and bad. Okay. By the way, I'm looking this up, he might have veneers, so I take care of him. No. Already. It's hard to know. I mean, who can tell really? Let me get my eyes on these warlocks. The way that they, the way that they sit, Craig, do those look real to you? I don't know. I'm seeing, I'm seeing, maybe he utilized veneer strategically, possibly targeting only people. Highly visible front teeth. It's like when there's a boob job, but they're not like outrageously big, it's like a tasteful boob job. It's just shape. Um, anyway, who knows? It's just shape. I can't tell. Fuck. Well, that's, that's the side of a good, I don't think they are, but that's, I don't know. I don't think they are. He also has like his dad, there's like a diva quality to him. You know, there's like a movie star flashy kind of like, it's one of those where you're like, oh, yeah, it's dad. And then you see him and you're like, this man whether or not you you like it, believes that he's like the most famous and important person in the world, and it's a little infectious. - Yeah, like he's a likable guy when you hear him talk, if you don't kind of already ate him, like he does have charisma, whether you like it or not. - Yeah, I agree. I think he should have been even higher than this, to be honest, but I'm fine with it. - So Craig, where did you have him? - Item fourth. - Yeah, I need to pull though. - We also don't talk enough that his dad had the Hutzpuh to give an interview where he was like, man, when he goes number one in the draft, we would never let him go to a team like Cleveland. And then he fell with a fifth round and then went to fucking Cleveland anyway. - Yeah. - Would you work case scenario, yeah. - Unbelievable. - I'm looking at our ratings. - I'm looking to be named. - We had him sixth overall, collectively. I had him sixth, Craig had him fourth. Hife, it's a little bit lower, but still on the top 10. - He's a good looking guy, like there's no shame in it. I mean, someone else wrote that about Shadour, you wouldn't text your friends about it, but you would answer the text. (laughing) - Okay. I love the extremely specific scenarios, that's great. - All right, what do we got next? - Next up, number seven, hottest quarterback. Can you guys guess? - I'm gonna say Dak Prescott. - Yeah. - Or Herbert. - Number seven was Jordan Love for the Green Bay pair. - Oh, Jordan Love. - This one was my blind spot. I had no idea how popular Jordan Love would be. - This is, we all kind of had him lower. - We had him 15, 17th and 12th. - Totally whipped on this. I had no clue that women would find Jordan Love so attractive. - Yeah. - He looks pretty good in that beanie. - These photos are nice photos right here. The ones for the two I'm looking at. - It's a very serious looking. - Yeah. - Funny you say that's one of the comments in Jordan Love was he looks better when he's stern, but I do like that his smile looks a bit like Andy Sandberg. - I kind of think he looks like Sandberg. (laughing) - I don't know. - A brand like that, I don't know. - Like a big smile. - I always kind of like he looked like the dragon from Shrek. (laughing) - Someone wrote that he looks like the asparagus from Fetchy Tales. (laughing) - Let me show you this dragon from Shrek. (laughing) - Kinda has like a long thin face. (laughing) - That is so random, Craig. (laughing) - Green eyes, yeah, the green eyes. - You know what I mean? - Yeah. - That's Jordan Love. - To me. - Do you see it? I guess. (laughing) - Super, super specific. He could be a dragon in a morph. - What did the seven say about Jordan Love? - Among the comments for Jordan Love. No notes. - No. - No. - Someone said you're swiping left. Oh, I just, I actually got that wrong. There, that was someone who didn't like him. - Oh. - I just swiping and I just read it. I forgot that was mean. Jordan Love said he should be hotter than he is and I don't really know what's wrong. Which I actually thought was also an incredible encapsulation of his actual career. - Hmm. - Hmm. - That is, it's meant us. - Someone was like not, someone said hot without the aura, someone else had just put hot comma sometimes, which I also thought was really good for his career. - Yeah, I agree with that. - Someone wrote not confident enough of a smile. And then someone said he's just hot. A man with a nice smile. Love his smile got a sneaky bonus point around the acute maternity photo with his partner. I will say though, a lot of the comments were amazingly similar to the actual thoughts and joy of love, which are really good tools, but people wish he could put it all together. - Hmm. Do you think that makes any difference that his name is Jordan Love? - It's a good name. Like that's a, that's a hot name. - It is a good name. (laughing) - Jordan Love. - It is, I would say that it's the, it is the hottest name of any quarterback in the NFL. - Right, that's like the coolest hot name. - I mean, it has got to be. - I mean, he also has a lot of top five votes. Like he was very popular in this exercise. - It's interesting, yeah. 'Cause the comments are sort of milk toast a little. - I know. Yeah. - Jordan Love, well done, sir. - Yeah. - Almost very, very, very few bottom 10 votes. - These maternity pictures are very cute. - I'll give him that, just, yeah. He looks, yeah, he looks really good in this maternity photo, I say. Handsome, the fatherhood looks good on you, man. - There are moments I agree with. He looks very good. And then other moments where I'm like, "Eh, top 10, I don't know." - He's also, he does his hair differently a lot. He's very stern and not always smiling. So it does kind of depend on the picture you see. - He does have a lot of different pictures. Like he does have huge variance picture to picture. - Yeah. - I feel like I don't know very much about him. For like, how good he is and the team he's on. - He's pretty quiet. Yeah, I just like, I don't know anything about Jordan Love. - He is from Bakersfield, which is an interesting place, and also where Derek Carr is from, I think. Baker, Jordan Love, yeah, this one shocked me. I won't lie, but it also, he is very tall, but I also feel like Hyde hasn't been, he's very tall, worked in. So what's weird about this is I think if people saw them in person, he'd actually go even higher. - Because of his stature? - It's six foot four. - He's well built. - This was a big mess by us. The fact that we had him 13th, collected by us, is a big mess. - Oh, is this the biggest mess that we had, Hyde? - Oh, they can't tell us that. - Even if you tell us that. - His Utah State photo is pretty good. - Not including the fact that DK had brought pretty 30 second outside of that, probably. - Mathematically, it's gonna be hard to be. - 30 seconds. - I was a little harsh on him, all right? - Okay. - The sixth hottest quarterback in the NFL. Just missing the top five hottest quarter of the NFL, is none other than Tua, Tungo, Vailoa. - Yeah, Tua. - Really? - I had wandered. - I had wandered. - Complete blind spot. - I think Tua was very handsome. - It had never occurred to me. - I didn't even rank him. - I had him, well, I had him 21st, so I guess I probably should have ranked him higher. - I kind of was just like, in my head he wasn't starting quarterback at the time. I think I made this ranking. - That's, I think that is the thing here. - I had never even looked at him and then I had to re-look and I was like, oh, I get it now. But I say-- - He's a handsome guy. - Never even occurred to me that Tua was handsome. - Are we on veneer watch? - No. - He's just big, nice smile, but I don't know if that's-- - Oh, I don't know, they're pretty white. - They are really white. - Maybe he's just got really great dental. - Tua is sixth, he's the sixth hottest quarterback. - Six hottest quarterback. - I think he does have veneers. (laughing) - Wasn't Miami, I mean Miami. - I love that they're the boob job for men. (laughing) - I wouldn't have lived like a hair transplant kind of in there too, I think. - Sure, sure, yeah. - You think he Tua got a hair transplant? - No, I'm saying veneers and hair transplant. - Oh, yeah, yeah, man. - Like new things that men can do to improve their looks. - It's very true. - Yeah, that's male-blessed. - I mean, Tua is a nice looking dude. - I don't know. - I don't know if he's sixth. - So he's kind of short too, which is a little surprising. I guess that doesn't matter in this list as much. - Some of the comments on Tua. Face card is elite. - Okay. - Someone said, "Strictly, I have concerns." They said, "Listen, I have concerns." "Strictly off-attractiveness though." Tua's strong showing, very strong. - Yeah. - Other comments said, "Tua, very hot. Wish he was better at football so he'd be on my TV more often." (laughing) - Okay. - Someone said, "Tua, an attractive man with an amazing smile even when he has three picks in a concussion." - Yeah. - Harsh, but perhaps fair. Someone said, "And I thought this was funny." Someone said, "Tua, I wish he talked less to the media." - Right. - Right. I think that's also echoes his sort of career thing. Like he just, if you just be be quiet, it'd probably be better off for you. - Yeah. Someone literally said, "The appeal is there under the right circumstances. Scheme fits critical. Can absolutely outperform expectations under the right conditions. Depends heavily on lighting, personality, and hoodie selection. - Hoodie selection. - I do think system player. - I think he has a good beard situation. He knows what facial hair works. If you look at the photo of him without a beard, it's not as good. I feel like he's got a, he figured out his beard. I feel like he figured out his hair. - That's a good call. - He's got a lot of different hairdo styles. - Yeah, but he likes pictures of his hair. - He works, he knows what he's doing. He knows what he's doing. - He's also what he's looking. - Not under Brian Flores. "Tua, also like Bryce Chung. Happy, does smile, like he was like a happy person, used to smile and be happier." - People got mad at him for smiling too much on the sideline, I think. - Exactly. - Family ban? - Sure. - He makes you feel safe, but also dangerous, you know? - I never thought about, he's a handsome guy. - The ones with the face paint. The first photo with the face paint, I think really, like that's where I get it. - The backwards cap. - I think I would put him, I think I would put him 11. (laughs) Let's see how I would've given him. - I'm surprised too is so much higher than like Caleb Williams. - I know. - This is probably the most shocking one that we've had so far. - I didn't expect love into it. They're keeping his guests in the seven, you know? - Yeah, I don't know, okay. So, are you guys ready for top five? - This is the last one, right? - Correct, by the way, you're moving into 11, moves him to 14 on our list. - Okay. - So we're up that far off. - I mean, six is high. - Yeah. - Okay, fine. and they're saying he's the lead. - He's saying he's a touch out of the, he's almost the top five, how to score it back. - Okay, I didn't expect that, yeah. - So who do we have left? We have like, burrow, hurts, we have Josh Allen, we have, we have, we have Dak Prescott, we have Herbert, we have Trevor Lawrence. - Feel like we have not enough people here to make all these, these guys of your name in it. I don't think Lawrence makes it. By the way, two of my buddies bet $25 that Lawrence would be in the top, whatever we're talking here, top eight, so there's a lot of money riding on that one. - I think I have an idea of who the remaining five is, I just don't know the order. - Dickie, if they want to cut me in on that, no one knows the order, so they can say what they want, yeah, loop me in. - We have, so hurts, Allen, burrow, Herbert, - Dak, Lawrence, Dak. - Those are probably the most notable remaining names. So yeah, I'm starting to think that Trevor Lawrence is not there. - Yeah. - And yeah, it's going to be Herbert or Dak next, that five is my guess. - You know who I think is kind of a wild card, actually not really because I think if it's already kind of gave this way, but like, if people were judging it solely on looks, younger Aaron Rogers, I thought was like a pretty good looking guy. - Yeah, young Rogers is fine, but old Rogers. - He's a pretty haggard looking at this boy. Anyway, this will be interesting. - The ayahuasca is good on the soul, but perhaps not the skin. - But yeah, he was a good looking dude, not in the day. - That should be the part of me, I'll spend an Instagram. - I think the things that he's kind of in the two of camp, the things that he's said over the last few years, probably not helping a lot. - Like what? - You know, you know Craig, I don't have to say it. He is anoculated against criticism in this. - No, no, no, he's an immunized. - Sorry, immunized. - Who is going to be his running mate again? - I can't remember. (laughs) Probably somebody really smart. - Can anyone do an impression? Is that head on straight? (laughs) - Someone who definitely doesn't have a weird thing for dead animals on the side of the road. - Sorry, I want to know five. I'm saying Dacker Herbert. - Wait, are we going? Are we doing another one here? - Yeah. - I thought we were done. This is bonus points here. - The fifth hottest quarterback, as determined by the seven, is Dak Prescott. - Yeah, Dak. - Dak's good looking. He's got a real beefcake energy to him. - Dude, he does. Did you see the picture of him recently? His arms are fucking huge. He looks like, he looks like a bodybuilder. - Like he could be like a stunt double for the rock, you know, like he has that build, that frame. - It's a thick boy. - He's thick. - Are you guys thinking of the bald head? - Would you think of the bald head? - No, 'cause he didn't always have it. I think it looks great on him. So someone commented that for having no hair, Dak has a good face shape and beard to make it work. It's true. The beard, like, he's got the stathom thing where he looks great with a bald head. - Really great mustache. - When he wants it, like this guy could be the new Tom Sell, I can move it. - Look at the jaw line on this guy. - Yeah. - No, Dak has, Dak also is like kind of intense in the energy. Someone wrote, love the RX, except when he goes, "Here we go!" - Here we go. Just, you know, if voice cracks a little bit of an ik, but I otherwise, I think this is the, I think this is the right answer. - Dak also, like, in person is, like he's just an intense guy, he's got a man. - Dude, he looks intense. - He's also, he's all natural. Definitely no veneers on this guy. - Also has a cool name. - Yeah, great name. - Jack Prescott. - Another, like, that's like Vin Diesel. - Yeah, yeah. - Jack Prescott. - Is he gonna go into acting after this? - His name is Dakota, right? - Yeah, Dakota Reign. - Reign Dakota too. - Oh no, his name is Reign Dakota Prescott. - Oh yeah, it's Reign Dakota, good call. Reign Dakota. I mean, even Reign, R-A-Y-N-E is cool. - Dude, we're trying to give all these guys cool names. That's just shedding good names for Reign. - There he has got too many. - He should give Reign to someone who needs it. (laughing) - If we had to rename a quarterback Reign. - Reign love? - But give it to Michael Penex. - Michael Reign. - Oh, you can make me the last name. - Sure, why not? - He's gonna make a reign. - He's gonna make a reign, Reign Jones. - Reign Jones. - Now he's cool. - I don't know how you change the name Daniel. That's kinda rude. - Reign Jones is good. - We'll see the insinuation there. - You changed the name Daniel. - Yeah, you didn't even call my name. - You were Daniel till you were like 25. - No, I'm just saying, that's my name. In fact, chose to choose that. - Why don't we call you Daniel on the phone? - Yeah, well, you're not Daniel. - You called me Daniel, that's five. - No, it's not. - Some of my friends call me Daniel. - Caleb Williams. - If I called you Daniel, you would comment on it. - Here, Caleb Williams. - And it was just like you're mad at me. - Reign Williams. - Reign. - Well, I'm thinking of Reign Wilson. I was trying to be like, who's the famous Reign Wilson? - Oh, Reign Wilson, yeah. - Dwight. - Dwight, yeah, that's tough, yeah. - Do we get any comments? Wait, sorry, we already did those. - No, no, we haven't done a DAC come from the sevens. - Okay. - Some of the, someone just wrote, DAC kind of looks like a shark. - Ooh. - It's complimentary. - I get that. - Someone wrote, trying to say this respectfully, but DAC is proportionally captivating. - Okay. - I was, I didn't know what that meant. - And I wanted to get it. - I tried to say it. - If you took away the trying to say it respectfully, I think it was a compliment. - Is that like, yeah, I was like, - He tried to say it respectfully. - I'm not saying he's fat. Are they trying to say this about his like, bowl? I don't even know what that means. - Like, I mean, he seems like he's got a large head, but he's also got a large body, so it's okay. - Yeah, I don't even know what that means proportionally captivating. - Has this person spent a night with DAC and they can attest to how proportionally accurate he is? - Who can say? - Yeah. - I don't know. - Someone else has said, the Los commercials moves him up the list. Which again, blew my mind, 'cause I actually think he's terrible at the Los commercials, but, you know, what am I now? - I can't even remember this. - Doesn't he also have like a mattress thing? Does he need to mattress commercials? - Yeah, he did the sleep number. Yeah, yeah, yeah. He did a lot of ads that one year. - Yeah. - And then someone just wrote, imagine if he had any charisma whatsoever, we'd do wonders. I will say this. I think DAC was more punished. The real comments was how many people were like, I don't want to rank him this high 'cause I hate the Cowboys, but I will. So I think he overcame the Cowboy bias, which I thought actually spoke volumes. - Totally. I get that. - He's just a handsome guy. Forth round pick. Is he gonna be the lowest drafted quarterback on this in the top five? - Definitely. - Probably by a significant amount. - Definitely. - Yeah, we got Jalen Hertz as a second rounder. So yeah. - Okay. - Any other thoughts? So DAC at five, two at six, Jordan Love at seven, she'd do it at eight. I was shocked by Jordan Love in two. DAC I think is in the right spot. And this is why I don't understand women. I'm just surprised that Shedor is below Jordan Love. - I agree into it. - Like I just, yeah. - But again, I think we guys, men, I think we're viewing it more objectively and I think that they're factoring in other things. - That's true. - And I will say Shedor does on the photo look boyish whereas Jordan Love, he does look more like a man, like an older guy, like an older guy. Yeah. - I think DAC also looks most like a man than any quarterback. - DAC, if you were gonna be like ranked these guys by like who could chop down a tree? - He's bringing down the bacon. This guy, who could pick me up the easiest? - DAC. - It would make me feel small. - Yeah, I think you're right. - He's a throwback man. - Women just want to be picked up. DAC can do it. - Yeah. - Who could pick me up, set me in the kitchen counter, DAC. - Yeah, he's gonna be good for all these memes. - All right. Thank you to the seven. - Shows out the seven. You know there's a great bar in Boston called The Sevens. We should go there. - Oh wow. - Maybe he can help. I've been couple times. Maybe that's all next. That's where we got to, we should meet the seven at the sevens. - Yeah, there's sevens meet up. - Yeah. (laughing) - I'd say we bring Drake May too, but he probably is not old enough to get in the bar. - No. - Shedore couldn't get in. - Brock Purdy, no way. - No. - DK, I'd have to say it's his son. - Brock Purdy could be DK's son. Okay, thank you to all seven of our women listeners who emailed in their once again, great work. - The final four next week. Next job. - We're at the final four. Thank you, DK. Thank you, Craig, for coming back from Hawaii. - Yeah. - It was weird. - Yeah. - Thank you to Cam. Thank you to a boo. Thank you to Nikhil. Thank you to Austin. Thank you, Carlos. Thank you for listening. Email us four. What did we ask for? Not Jason's day of them related. What do we want? So I'll punish them for the Rear Fantasy Football League. We have some of those. I'll read them this week. And did we ask for? What was it? - I don't know. What else did we ask for? - Also, by the way, you guys on the one of the other episodes that I wasn't on talking about, names were like that are appropriate to the highest degree. You saying bull. - You're right. That's another fucking one. - That's a big one. - Tony Hawk and you saying bull. (laughing) - All right, as good as it can get. - Yeah, never topped. - Yeah, I don't remember what I asked for. So it's too bad. Thank you Lord! Lord! - Millennial Bangers continues guys. It's July 27th. And so I think we only have one more after this, which is sad. It's been really fun doing this. I'm gonna make a playlist, I think of Millennial Bangers and just share it with people. - Good idea. - I'm going with, we're going back to 2007. We're hanging out with DJ Felly Fell. Get Buck in here, an absolute banger of a song. - Get Buck in here. - Get Buck in here. It's also features P Diddy unfortunately, as well as Acon, Ludacris and Lil Jon. This song rips. This is like a high school basketball, like warm up, like top 10 song. It was in that era where if you listen to it. - Can you sing it? - Just a bit. - It just gets, we're gonna get Buck in here. That's basically it. It's like, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no. It's fucking dope. Still bangs. They don't make beats like that anymore. And it's also like, it's from the era when, when you would hit plan a song. For the first like 15 or 20 seconds, it was just all the producers and DJs on it, like saying their name before the song started. - Yeah. - It was just like DJ Felly fell and it was like, "I don't think they're ready for this one." He's like, "Acon!" DJ Khaled's like, "We the best!" It's like there's like 15 seconds of that. And then the song plays as a good era. - That's great. - There was a time there during the Napster years. I don't know if you guys got to experience those, but where a lot of songs would have like remixes and all the DJs that would remix the downloaded songs would have like be like shouting out their names. And stuff like that, so it's like, yeah. - I mean DJ Khaled got two, he would yell, "We the best and DJ Khaled." - Also, he took it from the beginning of the song to every verse in every chorus. He'd be like, "DJ Khaled!" - "We the best!" - Well, that was like the whole little job. - What? - "Acon would do Acon and he would do Convict Music." - Right. - So people getting their shape-- - We gotta print the producer in the label, you know? You gotta get both in. - Mike Jones, like come on, like that, that, that. - I have to be honest. - This one wasn't really in my world. - I gotta tell you, I've never heard the song, I swear. - What? (laughing) - I'm trying, I've been, I'm very honest about this. - Wait till you get to the 18th second mark when the song actually begins? Elite. - I mean, I can see the appeal of this song for sure, but it just, it never really, it wasn't part of my life. - Damn. - In 2007. - Also just the phrase "Get Buckin" here is so 2007. - Yeah, "Get Buckin" here. - I don't-- - DJ Felly fell. A bunch of white kids running out for California High Basketball with the rip off pants, throw those off, this song's going. Everyone's doing lap lines. Fire it up, till I collapse, it's coming next. It's going up. - Oh, see, till I come on up, till I collapse, stop. - Elite, Elite High School warm up song, till I collapse as well. Damn, all right. - You did have to build two till I collapse, 'cause you couldn't just play that first, 'cause then I would just run through a wall 20 minutes to the game. - You got to build two till I collapse. - That is the most, there is no, there is no, where you start to like humanity that's more important in the beginning of that song. - Till I collapse, I'm going to go, oh wait. - Oh, it's so forth. - Right, it's 2002. - Holy shit, it's '02. - Yeah, dude, till I collapse, dude. That song, that is like maybe the most important song to my childhood. - Till I collapse, Banks. - Like, if you could draft songs that you would play before a high school game. - It's missing basketball, football, whatever, that's the first pick. - It's missing a key element though, to qualify as a millennial banger. There needs to be 10% unintentional comedy that comes with the song. - Right, till I collapse, it's just cool. - Yeah, it's just cool song. Get Buck in here is kind of hilarious, but it also bangs, which is why I qualify. - Dude, dude, dude, dude, dude. - Dude, ludicrous is on this with, this is just like off-brand, - Lil Jon, acorn. - Acorn. - This is Diddy Acorn, ludicrous, Lil Jon, is when you can't get Jay-Z, Lil Wayne, Kanye, and Eminem. - Yeah. - But wow, who is DJ Felly fell? Who is this guy? - You don't know DJ Felly fell? - I have no idea. DJ Felly fell is. - Man, dude. - Who is he? - DJ Felly fell. - He's a DJ. - He's a DJ. - No shit. - He's a DJ. - I have no idea who he, I mean, all I know him is by that name. I have no idea what he does. I don't know anything about him. He did finer things with Kanye and Jermaine DePree, fabulous at Neo. Wait, he peaked atop the bubbling under Hot 100 chart. What is the fuck? It's the bubbling under Hot 100 chart. - People are just outside of the 100. - Isn't there a top 200? - I don't know. - It'll call you number one on the hot under, what the hell? - Maybe it's like rising stars. - I don't know. - He had a cameo with himself and Malibu's most wanted. - Hmm. Fascinating. - I don't know if that's good or bad, but yeah. - Anyway, if you're going for a run, Tasson get buckin' here. He'll be blast. - He also did that your birthday bitch with Lil Jon. - Oh, Lil Jon is a real one of one. - Nobody ever liked him. - There's no one like Lil Jon. Lil Jon made a song that's just called "Shots" and it just goes, "Shots, shots, shots, shots, shots!" And it was huge. - That song actually takes me back to party and shit. That one, this one doesn't mean anything to me really, but dude, you know that Lil Jon is 55. - I mean, yeah, dude, he's been around. - "Shots, shots, shots, shots." - The song "Shots" is with, it's LMFAO and Lil Jon. - Of course. - And it's called "Shots." - Also, what was great about "07" in that era was like, all the rap was so happy. All it was about was like, "We're gonna go out tonight. "We're gonna get drunk. "We're gonna have the best night ever." This is so fun. Like that was just all the songs. Like, I feel like early odds, it was a little angrier. And then it started to move into like, man, we're just, we're drinking drinks and we're dancing and it's the best. And that was just like every song. It's like a great, you think this is wrong with rap now is that the Gen Z rappers don't know how to socialize? - It's too moody, yeah. - Yeah, the Gen Z. - None of them drink anymore. - It's just before I'd been like, this club can't handle me. This is so fun. "Tail Cruise" was like, "Tonight is dynamite." Like that was it. It's like great. - It is, it is very true Craig. It started out like the club beats. I don't even know what to call this shit. But like, it's like hip hop and the idea was like, it's gonna be a club hit. And it was like, in the club is what I immediately think of first and foremost. That song is like more, it's like meaner. I don't know how to express it, but yeah. And then yeah, you get into a few years later. - It's an angrier. - Yeah, an angrier. Yeah. - And then it just became like, like A-Con and Jay Sean were just like, man, what a good night we're having. This is awesome. Black Eyed Peas were just like, "Tonight's gonna be a good night." - Oh, did you see that video? I said this video on Instagram of will I am explaining like some of the lyrics that kind of blew my mind when he's like-- - I did see that, yeah. - When he was like, what's it? It's like, "Mozletop, what's this song?" - It's I got a feeling. - I got a feeling and he's like, "Mozletop" and that is, he said he took that sequence from, oh no, now it's gonna bother. - No, I totally know what you're talking about. "Fill up my cup, drink." "Mozletop" and he picked this because it's the right amount of synonyms. - It's a reference to psycho killer because he's like, it was like-- - I mean, syllables, Jesus Christ. - This song? - Yeah, so it's basically, he's like-- - Okay, look. - He's like psycho killer, kiss, kiss, say. And he's like, and he took basically that melody, and he's like, yeah, a foreign word with how many syllables, kiss, kiss, say, "Mozletop." So he's like, you don't think you've ever heard anything like that, but you have. And he had all these references and I got a feeling too. - Oh, that's kind of cool, yeah. - Psycho killer and the other one was, I think, September. Yeah, I don't know, kind of blew my fucking-- - The Earth Wind and Fire song? - Yeah. - Yeah, he was mentioning something about singing the days of the week, 'cause that's a lot. - Also, two wins. - Two wins. - Friday, Saturday, Saturday, Saturday. - Saturday, and then Sunday. - Sure. - Goodbye, everyone. Summary:

The Ringer Fantasy Football show features a detailed ranking and strategy discussion on running backs, emphasizing the importance of elite picks in winning fantasy leagues. , and Junior Gibbs—are highlighted as top-choices due to their consistent production, especially in high-scoring environments.

FAQs

Yes, getting an elite running back early — like Christian McCaffrey, Derrick Henry, or Jaylen Waddle — is a proven strategy. These players typically score the most points in fantasy football, and having one of the best running backs in the league greatly increases your chances of winning.

McCaffrey is a high-risk, high-reward pick due to his heavy touch load and recent injury concerns. While he's historically elite, his 2023 season saw over 450 touches, and there's a 50% chance of injury or inconsistency, making him a risky first-round choice despite his past performance.

Health is a major factor. Players like Derek Henry and Ken Walker have been injury-prone, and even elite performers like Christian McCaffrey face risk due to high touch volume. Fantasy success depends not just on talent, but on durability and consistency throughout the season.

Yes, Gentie is a strong first-round pick due to his elite red-zone performance, high carry share, and the Raiders' improved offensive scheme. Despite playing in a weak team environment, his stats suggest he can become a top-10 fantasy running back with a better offensive line and coaching.

Yes, Ken Walker is a top-tier fantasy option due to his explosive ability and the Chiefs’ focus on running the ball. While the offense is stagnant, his potential to produce big plays in high-leverage situations makes him a high-upside, high-risk pick.

The offensive line is crucial. Teams like the Lions and Chiefs have improved lines, which directly boosts running back production. Poor line play can severely limit a running back’s touches and yardage, making the offensive line a key fantasy strategy variable.
