Ranking The Most Annoying Things People Say

The speaker ranks the most annoying phrases people use in everyday interactions, drawing from personal experience on the internet. Key grievances include empty phrases like "let's circle back" or "everything happens for a reason," which feel dismissive during difficult times. Blunt self-assertions such as "I'm unapologetically me" are criticized for lacking empathy. The habit of blaming age or circumstances—like "you're in your 30s" for forgetfulness—is seen as invalidating. Expressions like "you've never heard of X" or "must be nice" are labeled as condescending and disingenuous, especially when used to make someone feel foolish. The phrase "sorry you feel that way" is condemned as a weak apology that avoids real accountability. Ending conversations with "let's agree to disagree" is viewed as evasive and unproductive, lacking genuine dialogue. The speaker emphasizes that meaningful communication requires empathy, accountability, and recognition of shared human experiences, not vague or performative platitudes. These observations highlight how seemingly innocuous phrases can deeply undermine connection and emotional safety.

Welcome back, ladies and gentlemen. Today, I'm gonna be ranking the most annoying things people say, okay? And I think I have a good grip on what that's like because I've been on the internet not shutting the fuck up since about 2010, so I'm the one to ask, all right? Let's go. Let's circle back. Not a big fan of let's circle back. It feels more professional. Like a finance guy would probably be like, let's put a pin in that, let's circle back, and we'll get back to it. I don't really like it. I'm asking you the question because I'd like the answer now. I don't wanna circle back. I want a direct line to the answer, and I'm looking at it right in the face. Just think and give me an answer. Let's not circle back to anything. That would be great. I'm unapologetically me. This is a good one. This usually means I am annoying, and I am acknowledging the fact that I suck, but that's just what it is. And I get it from like a very general standpoint that you should be unapologetically yourself, but I think within that should be some sort of common courtesy, you know? I don't think this is an excuse to be rude or like way too blunt or whatever. You know, you can still communicate with people normally without being like, well, I just think you're a bitch. That's just how I am. I say it how it is. I fly off the cuff. It's like, well, reel it in a little bit. Be a little apologetical when you're being unapologetically yourself, all right? Don't spend it all in one place. Yeah, this is when people are giving you like four cents or something. This is an old school one. I feel like my dad would say that to me. I'd be like, can I have a couple of dollars? And then he would just like spit in my hand and be like, don't spend it all. This is 30? Oh, it could be any age. Like, oh, this is 27. This right here is 33. I hate when people, I hate when anything goes wrong in your life when you're in your 30s and then people are like, you're 30s. And I'm like, this is just a normal part of life that happened, you know what I mean? I forgot my wallet. And you're like, it's because you're in your 30s. It's because I'm a fucking idiot, all right? It's not because I'm in my 30s. I've been a moron since 1992. I'm not good at remembering where my wallet is. It's not because I'm 30 now. I don't know why you're trying to tell me that. I don't know why you're trying to turn this into a quirky little sign from HomeGoods. 30s and thriving. We're doing okay. We're doing okay. The universe has a plan slash everything happens for a reason. I feel like I've been on record saying everything happens for a reason. And sometimes that's true when it's positive. The problem is like these things are, in my opinion, a very lazy way to make someone feel better when something traumatic has happened. I get so many headaches every month. It could be chronic migraine, 15, or more headache days a month, each lasting four hours or more. Botox, autobotulinum toxin A, prevents headaches in adults with chronic migraine. It's not for those who have 14 or fewer headache days a month. Prescription Botox is injected by your doctor. Effects of Botox may spread hours to weeks after injection, causing serious symptoms. Alert your doctor right away as difficulty swallowing, speaking, breathing, eye problems, or muscle weakness can be signs of a life-threatening condition. Patients with these conditions before injection are at highest risk. Side effects may include allergic reactions, neck and injection site pain, fatigue, and headache. Allergic reactions can include rash, welts, asthma symptoms, and dizziness. Don't receive Botox if there's a skin infection. Tell your doctor your medical history, muscle or nerve conditions, including ALS Lou Gehrig's disease, myasthenia gravis, or Lambert-Eaton syndrome, and medications, including botulinum toxins, as these may increase the risk of serious side effects. Why wait? Ask your doctor. Visit BotoxChronicMigraine.com or call 1-800-44-BOTOX to learn more. When something bad has happened, it's like, hey, everything happens for a reason. I just remember like, hey, last thing I want to hear right now, okay, that this was a plan that I was doomed from the beginning. I don't want to hear that. I do think that there is some truth to this in some sort of way. You know, when people say like, when one door closes, another one opens, it does. Your path will go like this and not everything's going to work out, but eventually, hopefully, you get to a place where it feels like all of the things that I experienced are definitely worth where I am now. I wouldn't be where I am now if I didn't go through those things and maybe some of them hardened me along the way but maybe for the better. So I think in that concept, like in that sense, it's right, but this is very fucking annoying to hear when it's like your dog dies and it's like, hey, you know, the universe has a plan. I'm like, are you telling me that the fucking universe killed my dog now? I don't want to fucking hear that. I hate the universe forever then. You've never heard of blank? I don't know that this bothers me too much unless they say it multiple times and now they're trying to make you feel like an idiot for not hearing about something. It's like, do you not know that the world is vast? We have access to the internet now. You know, that's, that's everything that's ever existed ever. Now we have access to that. There's a chance I don't know shit. There's a very good chance that I don't know what the hell you're talking about. Especially if it's something niche. I hate when people do that. It would be one thing if it's like, you've never heard of fucking Google, you know, or Amazon. You've never heard of that before. Like that would be crazy. But when people start talking about like niche stuff and it's like this like random Cuban sandwich spot in Miami and you're like, you've never heard of, you know, Cuban Pete's and you're like, the fuck? No. I haven't. Sorry. Why are you making it seem like I'm crazy for not knowing this niche thing? Sorry you feel that way or let's agree to disagree. Oh my God. This is probably number one. I know that we haven't been ranking any of these, but this is at the top or 10 out of 10. However we're ranking them, this is number one for me. Sorry you feel that way is interesting. That doesn't feel like an apology at all. I'm sorry that you feel something. Like, hey, you're almost there. The sorry should be, I'm sorry that I made you feel that way. Not that you feel that way. Sorry that you are choosing to interpret my amazing actions as something not as amazing. You fucked that one up, not me. Let's agree to disagree. I don't even know how that's productive in any setting. You can't. We disagree. We're just going to agree that we don't, that, you know, we disagree. Like, I don't need to agree to that. That's, that's evident. Clearly, during the conversation, we know that. It's not something that we need to agree upon. The fact that we both disagree, I can hear that in our argument. I also think that like, people who want to end conversations like that, what, like, why? Like, why do you want to do that? You don't want to come to some sort of understanding or some sort of compromise or like, I see it, I see what you're saying, but like, I still don't necessarily like agree with everything, but I see what you're saying. Like, that would suffice. But in the middle, they'd be like, let's just agree to disagree. Let's agree. Like, that sounds like you have nothing to back up your opinion. And that's insanely annoying. All right, before we get to the rest of this video, we do have some sponsors. The first one being PrizePix. PrizePix is a lot of fun and it's going to help make your Sundays during football season a lot more fun than they already are. It is a fun game that you can play. There's an app that you can download. PrizePix is the name of it. And you're basically just going up against these PrizePix projections. Okay, so you're basically going in and you're saying, Patrick Mahomes, is he going to have more or less than the PrizePix projection? Which I assume it's somewhere around 220 yards, something like that. So you're going to say, okay, he's going to have more. Travis Kelsey, is he going to have more or less than, four and a half catches? He's on my fantasy team, so I'm going to go more there. Okay? And it's not just football. They have a bunch of other sports, but it's always just more or less than these projections. So it's very easy to understand and it's a lot of fun and you can win a lot of money doing it as well. You set up a lineup with a couple of these things and you throw a little bet in and then you can see what happens there. Okay? And right now, you can get $50 in lineups when you play your first $5 lineup if you use the code SANTAGATO. So go download the PrizePix app and use the code SANTAGATO and then when you play your first $5 lineup, they will credit you $50 to play with. Okay? So there you have it, folks. It's a lot of fun and my friends play it all the time. I play it a couple times. It's cool. So go check it out. PrizePix is the app. Go download it. Code is SANTAGATO. Get $50 when you play your first $5 lineup. And next up, we have Aura Frames. Aura Frames is a lovely gift that you can get for your loved one this holiday season. Last year, me and my siblings got it for my mother. It is a frame that is digital so you can put pictures and video into this frame and they kind of. It's like a slideshow. So it's a lovely thing for last year, me and my siblings. We got it for my mom because we started uploading a bunch of pictures of like my brother uploads pictures of his kids and when I go on a trip or something, we'll upload pictures to it and she loves it. It's a nice little update of all of our lives on her nightstand. So you can get it for your grandma, grandpa, one of your parents or whoever or a loved one and it's kind of a timeline of, you know, your whole relationship She'd love that, dude. All right, pay attention. But yeah, so Aura Frames, it's lovely and for a limited time, you can save on the perfect gift by visiting auraframes.com. You're welcome. You should smile more. Yeah, I mean, you should shut the fuck up everywhere and all the time. Everywhere all at once. Was it everything? Everywhere all at, whatever the fuck it is. Shut up forever. This just sounds like something like a construction worker would say to a woman passing by, like, oh, you got a fat ass and she's like, hey, and he's like, what do you have to compliment? Like, shut the fuck up, dude. Also, just not an acknowledgement of someone who doesn't smile a lot possibly being upset or sad or going through something. It's kind of like, hey, just smile. Like it's Lion King. Hey, Hakuna Matata, you know what I mean? And then you're fucking good. Must be nice. Fuck off. People who say this are, oh, really? Must be nice. Just say you hate your life, dude. Don't put that on me. And I feel like people usually say must be nice to like the most basic shit in the world. You know what I mean? Like, oh, I have a day off tomorrow. oh must be nice dude give me a break we're all doing stuff and working and you know whatever hey must be fucking nice unless someone is you know being a little pretentious and they're flexing and they're saying a little too much and they're being boastful then i'd be like i wouldn't say must be nice i'd probably just throw a fucking grenade at him or something like that but must be nice feels like an annoying way to make someone uncomfortable someone's really happy about something and you got to go must be nice you're just making yourself look like miserable like oh yeah you have it so much better than me some of us have to go to work tomorrow all right fuck you if you can't handle me at my worst you don't deserve me at my best i although i think this is true i hate it like i hate it being said because it's such a thing that people say now like it just becomes it just feels disingenuous i feel like i'm changing my opinion on this and i don't like it all together and i don't think it makes sense either i don't necessarily think that if someone can't handle me at my worst they don't deserve me at my best if i'm at my worst i need to be alone i i need to be like i need to figure out my life okay i don't think that people should put up with your worst you know i don't think that me at my worst someone's like you should love me at my no you're on level you suck you're at your worst you're the worst version of yourself i need to be in on the ground floor like that if i'm already in and then we get to the worst that's a different story if you're at your worst i'm not getting in then what are we talking about here i don't know if i agree with that i think that when you meet someone and like you're together and whatever you go through ups and downs and sometimes they can hit rock bottom and i think that you should be with those people but i don't necessarily believe that like well if you just can't handle me at my worst you don't deserve me at my best you're a person and you deserve to like your partner deserves someone who's going to be like trying or equal or you know something like that like i don't think you're worst do you know who i am i think that that's that should result in jail time i think that people who do that like dudes who like can't get into a bar and they're like do you know who i am you know my dad is it's like i don't give a who you your dad your granddad or your whole family tree i'd light it on fire if i saw it who are you no one you're just a person okay this isn't do you know who i am clearly not or even worse for you i do and don't care what do you think's gonna happen has that ever resulted in someone being like who are you oh that oh should have said get the out of here dude i need to speak to the manager this could be annoying but it also could be valid i think there are times where you should maybe ask for a manager if you're dealing with someone who's like just not really doing their job well unfortunately uh 95 of the videos that i see of white women online asking for the manager unwarranted i don't think that people and maybe this is wrong i don't know if this is the right attitude to have but i think the issue is that people when they go into like a restaurant or some place that like sells stuff they think the the red carpet's out for me that they no longer have to act like they're in public and a human being and like you're dealing with other human beings these aren't your servants that work here like i feel like people feel like that they're like oh the it's taking a little long or like this is kind of off and like this is not it's like we these aren't your servants okay these are other people that work here all right so like relax all right but i think that if there's something going wrong that you can't figure out with this person it's like let me speak to someone else that may have more information i think that's valid but using i need to speak to the manager as like a dismissive way of being like you're dumb and you're not helpful and you're not blah blah blah my favorite is when they're already speaking to the manager it's like i need to speak to the manager and they're like okay hold on hello how are you uh and lastly here we have work hard play hard a little corny for me work hard play hard not really the goal uh work soft play hard would be nice you know what i mean in this life i think work the amount you did you have to and then and then play for as long as you possibly can i know that's not like phonetically that that's not better but that's what i would go with work hard play hard the grind culture people being like you gotta wake up at four and work until two a.m and then eat five steaks during the day and then you know you need to be making 400k a month at 20 years old like dude boring go enjoy something please but yeah there you go folks uh didn't rank so i hope i hope that you guys enjoyed my rankings of those even though that didn't happen uh let me know if there's other sayings or expressions that i missed that could be possibly annoying that annoy you let me know in the comments that is all don't forget to subscribe we'll see you next time
