Rams Salvageable? Hurts’ (and the Eagles’) Season Over? Texans Back? An Arch Update, Plus Another New #1 in the CFB Rankings

The transcript blends promotional content for the party game "Who's the Bad Guy?" with in-depth NFL analysis hosted by the Ryan Resilio Show. The game is presented as a fun, strategic social deduction experience ideal for gatherings, featuring secret roles and alternating day/night phases. The show then transitions into a detailed evaluation of current NFL team performances, focusing on quarterback dynamics, offensive strategy, and defensive weaknesses. Key topics include the Rams' struggling passing game under Matthew Stafford, their inconsistent decision-making and lack of aggression despite a strong run game, and the Packers’ defensive success against Dallas via pressure and blitzing under head coach Jonathan Gannon. The Texans are praised for their aggressive, spread-based offense led by CJ Stroud, who excels in non-play-action dropbacks and deep throws. The analysis also touches on injuries (like Jalen Hertz’s season-ending issue), roster shifts, and defensive struggles, such as the Texans’ collapse in pass defense. A major promotional segment highlights Draft Kings’ expanded NBA availability with a one-time offer of three months of NBA League Pass for new users using code “Ryan.” The discussion reflects on how team chemistry, coaching adjustments, and player performance—especially under pressure—determine outcomes, emphasizing that even teams with strong fundamentals can falter due to strategic missteps or injuries. The overarching theme is that while data and stats provide insight, the human element—like quarterback instincts and defensive coordination—often defines success in high-stakes games.

A pressure off between DAX decisions and Jordan Love. I may try to get some Caleb stuff in, we get quick hitters, maybe even sad rankings, so I want to do a couple different things with Nate, and then if he has room for it, I'd love his thoughts on Saturday's college football. Where do you want to start today? Let's start with the Rams. Let's start the Rams. I mean, our Cardinals are halfway home to their win total. They should have had the third one against or the second win. Should be three wins. They should have gotten that Giants game, but it should have been the easiest cash ever. No, it's something that I've been watching. We talked a few times about the Rams already, but even from week one on, I just really the overarching question I have, is Matthew Stafford okay? And it's like, is everything going okay with this offense right now? Because, or I should say offense, I should say passing game, because the run game is still amazing. The run game is literally, again, I use six success rate, just running back runs. The top run game in the NFL right now. Last year is historically good. The best run games is 2002. This one's the 11th since 2002. The lines are 13th, by the way, but really good run game. Pressures not too bad about the same as last year. And then Stafford is, they're not booting them, you know, not putting them on the move a lot. The Colby Parkinson's touchdown was put on the move. He's targeting his running backs at a high rate, which is kind of making everything feel really tight. And just not trying stuff, like it's not, we don't see a lot of these in-breakers going on. And I got a whole bunch of stats that bear this out, but just I test wise, even when he played in Australia. And they played, I was just waving it away from Australia. It's a weird game, throw it out, you know, just like a horse handicapper. It was a body game, you know, and I'm just going to throw that out. But then ever since then, it's just been the passing game feels hard. And he's making weird decisions. They're checking into his screen on 4th and 8th. And it's just a very, for an offense, I think everyone had locked in as a top 5 offense, and it wasn't an incredible offense last year. Just feels a little off right now. Now I have six weeks evidence to kind of point out that statistically, I test, it just feels a little off with this passing game right now. Okay, so let's talk about that screenplay in particular because there were two plays, I think in succession there, where they were getting blitz so much. Okay, and Stafford has not been as good against the blitz. It was usually something where if it's a Stafford, like the great ones during their time, I got to the point with like, you know, Brady's a perfect example. It's like, why would you even bother blitzing? Like just, you bet, you should just drop and just hope you can get some pressure. You can talk about disrupting and disrupting. But like, I think the great ones eat blitzes alive. And that's generally what Stafford's been doing. He's not been doing it so far this year. But that was, I think, either Mick Vay expecting blitz on those calls where he throws like a tunnel screen receiver. And then the other one, I think, was the right, the running back screen. And Arizona jumped out of the blitz. Look, both times and blew those plays up. So those plays look terrible. But that's really just coming down to the defensive call, winning against, you know, Mick Vay, which is, you know, something that that's hard to do. That told me so much about how frustrating it is for them right now on offense that they were like, we think we have Arizona's pressure figured out. And we've now gone over to on calling is what is the worst possible scenario against the what they're actually dropping into? Yeah. And even the Cardinals, and this might be one of those things, but the brain drain of you lose all your assistant coaches. And then you play them in the same division. They kind of know your stuff, you know, with Michael the floor being the head coach, Arizona, like there is some of that as well. And Nick Rawls, the defense coordinator for the Cardinals, kind of, he makes it tough on these offense. It's not always great and results wise, but he tries stuff blitzing wise creepers him, all this crazy stuff. But you could see like Josh Sweat who played great, like retracing on the screen right away. He, it was not like he was like, like, what's going on? He was like, Oh, screen sprints back out there. So it just gets tight on that. But just that entire sequence is, I don't mind then this is some of their brilliance in the past is, you know, they got a touchdown on a screen in the red zone. Is McVeigh usually has those dialed up at a, like at the right time, Stafford checked into that when I fourthed out. But man, it's just a, it's one of those things where it's like, when she trust Pukinakua and Devonte Adams and Stafford to read it out an old line, that's kind of basically all there, except for Larry Jackson and a good pass protection back, like trust the flow of your offense, trust your MVP quarterback as opposed to maybe outsmarting yourself with the screen. So again, done in the past, I don't want to, yeah, but it's just one of those things where the answers don't feel as good against that some of those puts is he has three picks this year against the blitz last, last previous two seasons, he had three combined interceptions. And then under pressure, he just feels kind of a little more discombobulated. So again, maybe they're avoiding some of that. But under pressure this year, Stafford has three picks, a 44.5 QB rating. He's thrown 41% completion percentage. Just last year under pressure, he had five touchdown zero picks, and a six QB rating and 54%. So under pressure, it's going to kind of get to him, but feels like even moments when he wasn't even under pressure, he had the one play before the tight end fumble. He starts scrambling and he puts the ball on the ground and it's like the pocket was pretty clean. And he's like doing a reverse pivot, like he's killer Williams or Trevor Lawrence or Jane Daniels or Drake May, one of these really good athletes. And he's, I don't know, it just feels like he's just off. And I kind of want to leave this last little stat or a couple two little stats here. Play action rates down 10% this year. And maybe it's like, is he not comfortable doing it as much? I thought that was interesting. Last year, they booted them so much and you saw all these play actions under center stuff throwing 20 or more yards down field. It's down like six or seven percent from 15% to 9% this year. So it's just these things where it doesn't feel as aggressive. And he's targeting running backs 21% of the time. Last year is 10%. It's, so it's feeling tight. Not the shots feel very go balls to the outside as opposed to flow of the offense. There's no play action working off this really good run game or let fewer play action plays working off this run game. The design runs are down. It's just the whole offense of flow feels off. And again, like you mentioned, just those screenplays, there is a process to it. But again, it doesn't feel the venom is not there right now, but this passing game. So no targets for Adams or Nikko in the first quarter, which kind of backs up, you're like checking things down. And the way so many NFL games kind of play themselves out like both sides of the ball feeling each other out here. Okay. Now, I think there's all sorts of things you could point to with the Rams that are positives. And the one thing that I would say that is still like giving me hope for this team, whether it's schedule or guys coming back, that's not it. It's that we've had four games here where when they absolutely needed it, they got it from Stafford, all right? The Stafford Drive 48-yard touchdown against Denver, 33-38 left in that one, okay? It was like, what's going on? They respond, they get it. And then I know there was a late pick, but a lot of times the late pick is like, okay, well, I have to sort of make something happen here. Then against Philadelphia, 10 play, 79 yards, scores the touchdown with one 10 left to what at the time was being talked about like saving their season. Buffalo, that shootout, he goes eight plays, touchdown drive with five seconds left, and he missed Nacoo at the back of the end zone. You saw it, Pisty was, he makes up for it, and they tie and then lose it over time. And then in this game, it's a struggle all day long when they absolutely need it, he goes eight plays, touchdown drive, 86 yards was 47 seconds left, and then look, Arizona moves a ball a little bit, they get the penalty, they lose it on another kick, the penalty was a disaster, which made Bay was, I think, probably more focused on on just kind of like the string of mistakes. There's just not many guys playing the position that can do what Stafford, what I just listed there, all right? And he's put the cape on so many times that I don't know if it's that classic moment of, well, now that I've raised my wrist because I have no choice, this is like me playing it my best, 'cause you would think there's like something there. It's like, do they need to come out and be more aggressive? You know, the left tackle situation with Jackson's mess because he's kind of a mess. I don't know what's gonna happen here with the Adam's injury part of it, but they're gonna get, they're gonna get Garrett back here soon. McDuffy was out for this game. He's gonna come back Ferguson, it tight ends, gonna get him back to those 13 looks that they were so in love with last year, although technically they still have enough tight ends to be able to go ahead and do it. The schedule's about to get real easy. I think it's the sixth easiest schedule remaining the rest of the way. The special teams is a disaster. The defense is average. The offense is kind of average. I don't know which numbers you're kind of going with, but I can't quit this team despite the fact that they're two and four. And even with you saying, hey, Arizona, try some cool things on defense. Coming into this game, they're given a 32 points per game, which is worse than the NFL. So it's like, okay, no, no, not answers. Cool and good are way different words, right? Different thresholds. The staff are throwing on the cake moments. Give me hope that even if it's not the seed or the record or the overall stance, that if they're into the tournament that they can still be a really dangerous team, where I think a lot of other teams at two and four, looking the way they looked, I would just be writing them off and just put it third of the way in this season. And that's the thing. I just laid out all these issues and he's still playing like statistically, like a top 12, top 10 quarterback. So it's not like it's the bottom following, it's not the chargers where it's like, he's playing like a bottom three quarterback right now. And then that whole suplex differential, which again is success rate plus explosive play rate. I got a couple of people going like, hey, can you explain that? They're fifth. They're fifth in the league right now. Like, so again, that is, that usually speaks. If you're in a positive point, or a suplex differential, you can make a run into playoffs. They have a formula that I always think can work in the playoffs. One, having a great run game is, it's one of those old coaching addages that actually holds up. You just have to be a buff. You don't have to be the best run game. You just have to be above a certain threshold, which I'll talk about other teams probably as the season goes along. But it's just the explosive passes, finding that. And again, I think it's the in breakers. Stuff over the middle. He's throwing fewer throws over the middle. That's the one thing I need, like that I'm just keep noticing every game. A lot of stuff is to be outside right now. It's outside receivers or to the running backs. That's the one thing. But the other great equalizer in the playoffs, the great pass rush. And they got one, whether it's Byron Young, Miles Garrett, Aaron Donald has enough juice to him as well. Kobe Turner, Josiah Stewart is dropping it. That's always the great equalizer in the playoffs. If you have a pass rush, can run it and be explosive in the past game. So it's just like explosive passes is my one question mark. But I'm not out on them. This is a playoff team to me. underlying stats are showing that the world's not falling. But it's just one of these things. I'm just I'm squint that just a little bit with him right now. There's also the extra part of it of the build up, which I was fully guilty of because I'm just like, what are you going to do with this fully formed pass rush when it's Garrett and then Donald? And then you addressed the corners. You didn't spend money on defense last year. You've invested so much of your offseason into this because you're so mad you couldn't get off the field against Seattle. And staffers coming back from the coup in Adams. And I actually liked their running game, you know, from what we saw last year. There was a lot to really like there. So maybe the offensive line was the unit, but you're like, okay, but staffer with an average unit up firm is probably still going to figure some of these things out. As you mentioned, special teams is 30 second. I don't know if that changes at any point. And they were in a disaster spot yesterday. They still got the extra point from the guy that hadn't kicked forever. Sando who we have on the show, who does his pick six on the athletic, what I like about his recap of the weekend is he checks in with coaches and personnel people. Like what they thought. And the all time like football guy of like, hey, super teams don't work in our league. That's a quote. I fucking hate it. I hate that quote so much because it's just like, so what happens in your league? Like yeah, teams that put together good rosters don't win. And you know, he was like really banging the drum for Jared verse being like, that guy carried the flag for this team last year. And you're like, so you're the, you're the GM that would have turned down acquiring Miles Garrett because because of chemistry, yeah, right. Like there was already enough established people with the Rams and guys that have had success there. And with Donald coming back and McVeigh being there. And everybody absolutely like, dude, Whitworth was in tears crying about how much he loved Stafford on this podcast. So like, I know what people think of when they say super team, but I think there's an extra layer of bullshit that the Rams deal with because of the buildup. And that quote, like just epitomized it for me. It's like, okay, then the week one first impression is the disaster in Australia. And it's so badly that they want to play in the Super Bowl and so far, but when I read that quote of like, hey, super teams don't work on our league, that is not what is the undoing of this team right now. - No, no, that's not, like again, it's a pinion, but I, it was like such people are rioters. It's like, they're a special group of haters and gossipers. So it's a, it's a very special group. So that I hold that. I think that's the thing everyone's like, oh, it's like the Eagles dream team. It's like, no, this team's much better than that. And it's all better. - And by the way, Vince Young's the one that said it. - Who was it? - Vince Young's, no, I'm sorry. - Yeah, I'm sorry. - We were at the border bank at the time. - Vince Young was the one that named them the dream team. We did spend a little bit too much time on the wide nine. That season, but the annoying thing of that Eagles team was like a self-annoying far more than what we've had with all of us accepting with the Rams. Are gonna be really good unless you just wanted to say, hey, these big time favorites, like they, okay, well, if you're picking the field, then you're probably going to be right in this league. - Yes. - Well, I even liked how you put it. And this kind of build off is like, they have a formula that works once you make it to the dance. This is a team that can make it to the dance. Are they going to the MC West? I don't know. Foreigners are all on the cell, the COX. But like, they can make the COX. - The COX offense is playing. We're not talking about it yet, but we will talk about it this week. - I think. - Oh, yeah. - Because there's, there's, there's a lot for it now. - The late Arnold stuff is so bad. If you just chop his games into a K, two minutes to go, like you have to have it, I couldn't believe how bad, like I knew it wasn't watching some of the games. They just haven't had that many games. They didn't have those situations. So you never really had to worry about it. But as we saw in the Denver game, which again, another Broncos win. - They have like three impressive wins so far. - Whatever. - No, the COX one is, it's, it's their formula. It's like you see the holes and run and playing offense that way. The run game just has to be, it doesn't have to be great, but it has to be not bad. Like it is right now and they're running back. It's like manual listen, it's just blind. And but Arnold has to be willing to rip it and generate explosives for that whole offense to work. And like when it's not explosive, you see the holes in it all. 'Cause they're not built to win on third down. Like last year they were like the worst team in the league, I think, on third and long. And so you're like, yeah, I know we're talking rams, but the COX offense, it's like they need some backs, they need some running back juice to come back. And they need Arnold just to be willing to rip it, take those risks. Because if he just takes sacks, it just does not work. Broncos, by the way, 31st and third down conversion, ahead of only Cleveland at 32%. Just if you wanted a Broncos step. But that's, that's Thursday night. I want to talk Packers. - Okay. First, this game was a study in one quarterback dealing with pressure in another quarterback, not dealing with pressure. And there's a bunch of different things we could talk about with this game. But that was the epitome of like Jordan Love, who's on a sack pace here to exceed anything he's ever faced in his career. He's already been sack 13 times, who's sack three last night. I think his highest total is like 30. And then a 15 game study played. He was only like 20 and 15 games last year. So that's just something we talked about in this summary. Like the great thing with this guy's, he doesn't really get sack. But when Golden dropped the touchdown on second down, it was still only a four man rush by Dallas. But he was getting run kind of like sideline to sideline trying to find the throwing lane. And then he hits Golden. He had another third down where it looked like they sent everybody at him and he knew, but he already had a plan. We're a DAC. Thank you. This is not me saying like, 'cause I don't wanna update Dak Prescott's legacy every fucking week, all right? He's in that category for me. But there were multiple times where it's like, he is confused as can be. And I think Collins wrote that a really good job, especially in the Valentine coming in to play corner. And he's like, that's not him. Like, he's not seeing it at all. And then the fourth, the 11th through the back of the end zone, you're like, what are you? JJ McCarthy, although everybody likes JJ McCarthy right now. It was just such a shocking decision from Dak. On 4th and 11, like, what do we know in that? Everyone knows it. You at least have to throw it in the end zone to give somebody a chance. And then I thought coming off the Tampa thing, and I'm gonna ask you about this. I don't know if I'm seeing things around the NFL, but it seems like there's a lot of teams trying to impersonate what Minnesota's doing on the defensive line. I'm seeing it everywhere. Okay, good, I'm glad you said that. 'Cause I was like, I had to ask Nate where Green Bay's like, we'll do this too. We'll put eight guys up here. They had a seven-man line front where they had the safety's playing kind of even with the corners and then pre-snap the sprinted backwards with both safety's. And coming off of the Tampa game, which is a disaster, I've noticed with Tampa, even in the Minnesota Tampa game, where I'm like, Tampa's doing a lot of the same Minnesota stuff as everybody's at the line. And it is really funny too, watching teams be bad at it because they give it away. The Cowboys defense did it on Thursday night against the box. It got shredded doing it. So it's like often imitated, not often duplicated. I'll end at least my point on this is that DAC after basically conceded was like we were confused. I was confused. That means he's confused. You can talk about blocking or receivers. And I know CD falls down on the other interception there. But I would think off the Tampa matchup, seeing it again, that quickly we go, okay, well, like we've got to get something right. And I thought he was lost all game long against the Packers defense. We had very little expectation for. And now I'm changing my expectations on Packers defense because I think Jonathan Ganon is doing some great stuff. Like, they're blitzing at a top 10 rate, which I was, he's a Mike Zimmer guy. And I think people forget that Jonathan Ganon is. Mike Zimmer was known, especially in Minnesota, third down blitzes. And you talk about third down and blitzing performance against the blitz could be a quarterback heavy stat on offense on defense. That's a defense coordinator stat. It's past Russian defense coordinator. And when he was with the Vikings, Mike Zimmer's defense was always top five on third down. It was ridiculous. And you could just chalk it up. It was like one of the safest bets. Now that you could bet on third down performance. But I looked, no, I'm kidding. But no, Jonathan Ganon is, they're blitzing at a top 10 rate. Like, it's like 36% time on third and fourth down. When he was in Philly, it was 22% the blitz barely blitz because they had a great front four. But why I'm bringing that all up is, we sometimes talk about play sequencing on offense. Like, hey, they set up the run to do the play action off of it or do the screen off of that. Defensive coordinators, especially good ones like Ganon right now, they do the same thing. The first third down was cover zero. We're bringing everybody. And then after that, they didn't do that. They started doing the hot drop stuff. They started doing the fade away stuff. The Evan Williams interception was showing cover zero or showing a pressure look. And then that doesn't see him on the other side. When that ball's out, it doesn't see him on the other side. It's just like, that's one of those NFL plays where it's just like, no, very rarely a quarterback is going to be right on that. It's like, okay, maybe check it down. But he assumed, which I get because of the pre-snap look. It's like, oh, I got man coverage here. Boom, touching on CDLAM, Bender. And then there's Evan Williams sprint back like Troy Paul Malu. Evan Williams rocks, by the way, he's a great player. So, but again, that's setting it up. I've been heating you up all night. Guess what, here comes the change up. Here comes Evan Williams sprinting from the back and it turns into an interception. But what you're saying, too, is that Gannon, and something about DAC is, and that's something I've always reiterated, he's a really good pre-snap. He's one of the best quarterbacks at diagnosing the blitz saying changing protections. But two weeks in a row, they've been getting got balls with the box and then now Gannon with the Packers, where they were bringing like protection beaters. There's one called four week. I brought this up with Aaron Rogers when they played the Patriots. It's a protection beater and how you have to adjust it. The quarterback has to signal something or they have to change the protection. DAC didn't. And that was very weird. I've seen him in the past adjust that protection against Mike Zimmer. So he's not the first time he's gotten those looks. The Evan Williams like heated them up on third down. If you remember that one, I thought Chris Collins worth did a great job point that out where he's like, hey, they're running back stepped up here and now he can't get to the safety because they're tipping their hands. It's just really weird to me because that's usually been a strength of DAC and really these Cowboys offenses. And he's just adjusting, but it's defenses are kind of holding the pen last. They're kind of just going, hey, I know what you know. So we're going to do this now. And they're kind of getting to the adjustments a little too late. Like in the bucks game, they adjusted, but it was in the fourth quarter. It wasn't middle of the second quarter, where they adjusted. And that just ran out of time. And I think too is that that happened a couple times. There's another blitz or another on third and two in the fourth quarter. There's another protection beater that Jonathan Gannon brought. So DAC is usually good to find these answers in two weeks in a row. He has not been. And they haven't adjusted quick enough off of it. So it's credit to Gannon, but also one of these things where I'm looking, I'm kind of squinting now because that should be one of his strengths. And at the top of it, like you mentioned with cons, where if they're squatting on everything on the outside, the run game is not going to be explosive for the Cowboys. They have the passing him has to be and they have one of the highest success rates, but they have one of the lowest explosive play rates. So that means DAC has to be right over and over and over. And if he's making mistakes, that's just totally crippling. And I think defenses are kind of, they figured out what their fastball is. So the Cowboys have to adjust. And I thought they would after the Bucks game, but they apparently didn't because those corners were just sitting on everything on the outside, what they call stop routes on the outside. To start that game too, scripted plays, Jordan Love in sync, it's just beautiful. Even the illegal man down field throw that he had that was brought back because of penalty and you're just watching it going, okay, this is why you defend this guy. This is why when you're like, hey, I still don't think there's 10 guys better than him and everybody gets pissed with no playoff resume and the way that it started the beginning of the year. I mean, it is, if I didn't really remember Golden being thought of this precise with the routes when he came out, you can correct me on that. But those little 360 things that he's doing, and then they get back to kind of top speed. Good fucking luck. And by the way, there were drops all over the place, especially in the first half. So you're looking at the score going like, well, it's Green Bay really lighting it up. You know, whatever. I mean, I thought it was clearly a one-sided game. I didn't want Dallas to score that second touchdown 'cause I wanted him to stay at seven points. And this is also, look, Micah maybe comes back week nine. As your and Cooper did not play in this game last night. So I know here we are like a couple of weeks removed from going, hey, you can have the Packers and even the Bears win. Like, yeah, okay, it was explosive, but they were handing the ball to the entire time. That was kind of like, I'm glad that was a naturally televised game. Yeah. Because I think it puts the Packers more like on everybody's notice more so than I'm exhausted talking about the Cowboys every week. Even though I don't think we do it as much as, maybe some of us. No, I think it's fair. My last little Packer stat too or a love is, well, one notice always just how big as frickin' hands are. Like, he can just pump fake and then just fire, like, he engulfs the football looks like Andre the Giant with a beer can. And he just launches that thing. But my stack going into this week, I haven't updated it, but it paints the same picture. Packers receivers have reached 20 or more miles per hour, 29 routes this year. We're going into week six. Second place had 16. That's the same gap between first and second as second and 28 with 13 more. So it's just, they leaned into, hey, we have Watson and Goldman and Tucker Kraft can roll to for a tight end. Let's go bombs away. And that's the difference. Back in the Cowboys offense feels tight and wants to be precise. And the Packers offense is just like, you know what? We'll just live and die with explosives. And the run game just being fine enough. And we can just live and die that way because our quarterback's going to find those answers, even if you heat 'em up. That was a really impressive game from them. And by the way, golden and Watson combined for, I think the most yardage of any duo going into that game because it was number one ahead of Pickens and CD Lam. In today's New York, nobody carries cash anymore, but Harry Layman still makes the living the old fashioned way. John Tutoro stars in the only living pickpocket in New York as a legendary thief who refuses to change with the times. Harry survives on charm, instinct, and decades of street smarts. But when an unexpected score lands him in possession of something far more valuable than a wallet, he suddenly finds himself running from dangerous criminals determined to get it back. Critics are raving with the daily bees calling it a perfect crime film, variety praising Tutoro's performance as a towering work. And the Los Angeles Times declaring it instantly classic. Also starring Jincarlo Esposito, Tatiana Maslani, Will Price and Steve Buscemi, the only living pickpocket in New York is a thrilling, funny and unmistakably New York story about survival in a city that's changing faster than ever. Opens October 23rd in New York and Los Angeles nationwide October 30th. Let's go with the London game. Normally, I boycott the London game, but I did watch this on the rewatch. - I was like, "Get up, watch this." - No, Nate's like, "Are you noticing the running back in motion, giving away?" And I was like, "702 AM." - It's a game fresh here after 11 and a half hours. - I had on the kitchen, 'cause my kids are watching Sean the sheep. And I'm just like, hey, hey, watch it. You should check out the run and back movement there. I watched it last night. I was able to watch it last night and you'd caught up on everything. Are you back in on the Texans? Never left. Never left. You never left. You never left. Oh, hey, we had a segment. I said five and five. I think you said four and six, five and five. We were bullish on them. And now I'm like, man, maybe it was too low after this little street 'cause I thought the jacks would be the one hiccup. So, no, I, this offense, we may have talked about the defense, but this offense is, you know, I love it. They're just fully spread and shred. CJ Stroud hasn't taken a sack against the blitz this entire year. He's just absolutely finding every hot answer he's finding. They are just leaning into spread formations. They, RPOs, I kind of, I can say it kind of RPO derogatory, like training wheels and everything. They actually use RPOs in a correct way and how I think it's correct. But it's not just a lot of side to side. They actually were like, Marvin Harrison Jr. had a catch on an RPO. They're leaning into that. And I just think, yeah, like you saw Nico Collins, but then you get to see Jaylen Noel rolling. It's like that's a lot of heat and a lot of synergy with the receivers as well. And Stroud is seeing it as well as anybody. And I think you could see that Sunday morning. And I just think that he's finding the answers. I started making a cut up of him finding the hot, you know, when he is heated up and him just like, no looking stuff because he knows exactly where to throw it. The Fossum Hero touched on that first one. He's hot and it's like no hesitation, boom, ball out, touchdown. And he's doing that over and over. So he's seeing the matrix right now. And I think it's kind of cool that this team that I think wanted to be bully ball. Hey, we're going to run it, do shop plays. It's just like, eh, we're like the mid 90s Houston Oilers with Warren Moon. We'll just spread this out and chuck it. And I don't know, it's been pretty awesome. All right, so I was so mad when he threw the interception because I was mad that he wasn't going to have this game because it was another great drive. They're running the football for the first time since week one against Buffalo. Make sense you could run on Buffalo. Make zero sense you could run on Jacksonville considering no running back had gone over 40 yards individually since the season started. That's run defense going into week six with the jacks. In Houston had been 80 yards, I think 79 yards or less in the middle four games from Buffalo into this one. And then they're calling run plays in huge spots. Like even had they had the success they were having on the ground, you figure, okay, balance out the window. CJ's been terrific. We're not even going to get and it was a huge part of what they were doing. Like what he marks had an awesome game. And he throws that pick in the end zone on second down and I'm so pissed off because I'm just like, this was going to be this awesome defining like we're going to get up to scores and this thing's going to be over. And that's not what happens. Obviously Jacksonville goes the other way. Hunter, we could do a little Travis Hunter if you want to. I don't know if Gladstone was right now on draft day when he said that we didn't just draft a player. We drafted someone that can shift time as we know it. I don't think he said exactly that. But that might've crossed that way though. Yeah, yeah, I'm stacking up days now. I'll sleep eight hours. That's one day. I don't know if you know that being. But yeah, that's what it kind of feels like. I like it. I like to I like to have size 38 blazers. All dark blue to eliminate decision fatigue to stay sharper. 9% sharper. Little later in the day, that's the same hinky for you. He left out the 9% sharper, but it was because he wanted to avoid decision fatigue. Harbin does the same thing. He wears the same outfit every day to practice. And he just has five reasons to expose a Costco. That's also it too. Was it Costco or is it like Walmart? I think I think even yeah, couldn't even get to the Costco brand. Look at these shoes, there's going to be like seven years of tread on these done. All right, so look, it ends up working out. And then Woody Marx is still part of everything for the gym and get back in it. So look, I don't know if they're going to be able to run the football. I don't know if the old line just because it was new and I was guilty of it at the beginning of the year. I'm like, hey, it's new. It can't be as bad. And then maybe the good part is because it was new. It's like, can it get a little bit better? But I think to your other point, this depth that I know Marvin Harrison had 12 snaps in this one. It's probably one of the deeper wide receiver groups, even with the injuries that they've had. Because I think Tank Dell is at least projected to come back, but who knows what he's going to look like after that knee injury. It just is a bit of a reminder. And again, they haven't gotten the defense right. It's not even close. It is statistically a bad defense, which makes even less sense than the start of their record. So go ahead. Whichever other direction you go, man, Texans. I'll go. All right. So really right now, too, as with Stroud, is what's really cool is, you know, play action. I just mentioned, oh, why aren't the Rams doing it more? What I think it's really cool watching the Texans is they're just leaning into play. So the limits of play action, other than maybe sometimes trying to back the quarterbacks back, the play action was a, the interception that actually Stroud had was a play action play as well, is that it can limit how many guys get out, out on routes. Those guys can be stuck in blocking. If you're doing like just one side, the routes can just be kind of, you know, limited. You can have two guys in a route, you know, check down. Or it's just to one side if it's a bootleg. And why I'm saying all that is the Texans are going like, hey, which is have Stroud drop back and get all five guys out on routes. And again, that's why I keep using the term spread and shred. The 29 non-play action dropbacks, 17, he had 17 successful plays on those, which is outstanding. 59% success rate, five explosives. If you're into EPA, 0.49 EPA per dropback. So every time he dropped back on non-play action, they got, yeah, they got half a point on 29 dropbacks. That is, it's not everyone can do this. This is the epitome of quarterback play, like dropback, no gimmicks needed. We're just going to have this guy find the right answer. Oh, you're going to, you're going to blitz us. All right. Stroud went nine or 13 against the blitz, one touchdown, zero sacks on seven pressures, 93 yards. Like I mentioned, those hot throws, or they block it up and he just gashes you down the field. And it's not just nickel and diamond, you know, Lake career, Drew breeze, you know, short, short, short, short, short. And then we hit one little haymaker, which is haymaker, haymaker, haymaker, big throws down the field. I was going to actually bring this up for Jordan, love when when pressured, Josh Allen has the highest areas per attempt, Jordan loves second, Stroud seventh. So like when he's getting heated up, it's not like he's shrinking and finally, we've thrown something short. He's like, nope, standing in there and delivering, he saw it on the jail and old deep route for the second half. Or yeah, but at the end of the first half. So that's really just want to kind of reiterate like just how well he's seen the game and how much I think they're leaning into it. I think that's a good thing. I got you mentioned the wrong game stuff. But then yeah, I can go with a, there's some really cool Travis Hunter designs, the little choice route he got. They put Henry toe toe and hell, uh, the Texas route. Yeah. Next line of running back, they're that too, yep, Texas route, that's, uh, that's a classic crosser that occupies the linebacker and then you got the little Texas route behind it. You can call that in Madden, uh, but no, that's a classic in the red zone and, and on that one, they were in, uh, oh, four personnel. So oh, I'm sorry, oh, one personnel actually. So that's one tight end for wider receivers, uh, and then hunters in the back field and what was weird about that is the Texas, usually when that happens when it's a funky personnel grouping like that, defenses just go real safe, they quarters cover two, cover six, something like that. They went man to man there. So that put Henry toe toe, man to man on, on Hunter, because it's one of those where it's like, I, I'm squint a little bit, you know, a little bit of the Texas defense and Domingo going like, that's a weird play call anyways against that personnel grouping, uh, but even before that, the, the other choice route they got in the slot, uh, again, Jaguars do some cool stuff. They, they went 13, three tight ends and they put one tight end as the outside receiver. They went slot, which means they put two receivers to one side, two tight ends, the other side, Travis Hunters in the slot, lone receiver, but what that did is made the Texas match with base. Hey, you're not going to match base when we go 12 first now, what's going to third tight end on there? Okay. Now you match with base, which is four DBs for them. It's three linebackers. Well, that puts Henry toe toe against Travis Hunter in the slot. And then the little, little window dressing, they put the running back in motion. The other linebackers wide now, but again, I just thought these were two offenses really clicking right now. And I think Trevor Lawrence had a good day outside of his pick in the end. So he was awesome, but I know it's, I mean, the pick was two good offenses, two quarterbacks of rolling right now, seeing, seeing it as well as anybody, I really, I really stand by that. It's just a couple of quick notes on the Texas defense to understand where we're at right now, um, scoring defense is 20th in the league, which is sort of shocking. Right. They're given up a touchdown more per game this year than they were last year. 17 points per game allowed last season. Now it's 24. I think there's even times where you could blame the offense at times through like, Hey, you know, there's certain correlations there. The defense can be so much worse because they know their offense absolutely sucks, even if I like all personnel. I always think of like those Broncos defenses when they went through a million different quarterbacks. And then they're like, Hey, what's happened to the defense? It's like because mentally, they've given up. They're still awesome, they just can't fucking do it anymore, all right? So staying on these, I'm going to make this quick with these numbers just to put them into comparison with last year. So opponent's yards per play, 14th this year, third down conversion against 17th this year, opponents passing yards per attempt 20th. Last season, they were second and scoring defense, second and opposing yards per play, second best against third downs and then second best against yards per attempt. I mean, it was an elite, elite defense that was only behind Seattle in a bunch of categories and now they are. bottom third, and it's the largely the same personnel. This all can't be blank chips problem. No. As much as much as as much as the Eagles fans would be like, that's what happens. It's like, come on. He got, he got roasted on one play. Like Jamar Chase has touched down. And it was like, he did the right thing. It just Jamar Chase, the Jamar Chase and Joe Burrow, Joe Burrow. What do you want him to do? I, after last year, I was a little surprised that Texans were like, let's throw him in the mix as a starter, to be honest. They also lost him, we have a question in this game. So maybe, you know, we have to be nice in right now. And they got, you know, as these outshares miss time, now he's back. They have, man, they barely get any run stuff. So I'm just even looking at some of their annoying stats. They're middle, like, they're 21st and passing success rate. That's the weirdest one. Like, run game, you can kind of get this run, you can run on them always. That's always been kind of a thing you could do against the Texas defense, especially they like to use nickel. But the tradeoff of that is, oh, we can, they're going to really tough against the past. And it just feels like they, oh, it sounded like the Cowboys kind of past protection style. It's like, this was a strength for you guys. Why is it weakness right now? Daniel Hunter, Will Anderson only had one combined QB hit yesterday, which again speaks to some of the Jags and Trevor Lawrence get rid of the ball. But I don't know if they're not racking up those pressures. It's like, that's what your whole defense lives and dies on. I know they can crank it up. But it's like, I don't know. I thought that would have been a game they can go off on. I have to have a question to you. Do you notice how much guys were slipping at Wembley Stadium? And then also at Lambo, they use the same grass. And it's something I get really frustrated about with football players is they know this all week and they still wear the wrong cleats. And I just kind of noticed that a little bit throughout the Wembley game because they're just like, we're the right cleats. Listen to your equipment guys. I feel like the Jags always have an advantage of London because they wear the right cleats. And then the other guys wear their little moldy cleats instead of wearing the like the ugly ones that have the studs on it. But I noticed I would like CDLAM having to change his cleats. George Pickens was slipping. And I was like, I understand those cleats are cooler. But got where the proper cleats on these type of hybrid grass that they play on. Well, how about Ref Larry Smith? I mean, I thought I was like, is there somebody with a crossbow upstairs? Like, what's what's going on with him? Because he falls in the turf. Yeah. He apparently didn't have the right shoes either. And then when he gets up, it was, it was like, one of those things, you're like, I can't even believe a body can do that right now. But that just speaks to being older and tremendous pain, especially when something is like disconnected and not working. And it takes it. It's almost like the type of important thing. We get it to celebrate after your foot gets turned around. And you're like, wait a minute. I think that foot's pointing in the wrong direction. So you're right. It's absolutely a cool thing. And the guys are like, I'll give it a shot. And then everybody's falling all over the place. And then they're like, it's all the time. It's the funniest. And then you see them talk to the equipment guy with changing the cleats. I'm like, they told you all week. It's going to be a different. It's the funniest thing that they never, it's always receivers, but they never listen to it ever. And I know, I just something I know, Parker Washington never slept. He was around wearing the right cleats. No, no, it's just kind of something I noticed. Yeah. The ref, no, it's great down praying next to him that that cracked me out. Took the hat off. I was hoping somebody got a towel out there for him. Cover, put it over his head up. I think he gave the, he gave the hat tip to the crowd. Like just he went, he did the full gamut. Like, you know, I mean, didn't give the thumbs up. You know, I, I was, yeah, it was kind of, it was pretty funny. Why are the rest so old? You need the experience. You need, you know, I don't know. I felt like MBA had that issue for years, right? It was just like all these. I want those guys back. Actually, I don't care about that. Right. Because the key in talking about all the old refs, how they just all the clip about it. It was unbelievable. But it was great because it's like, you do this. And then you fuck up like in your mess with me, like, I am going and guess what happened? You didn't have all this nonsense. Look, you're, you're not hitting a beer here right now. Well, we'll save this. We'll save this February. Yeah. All right. Then we can talk about the walls. That's, yeah. You're on Baron J. Well, Baron J. I loved him pre-draft. All right. Just, um, I could talk about Caleb William's cooking here again. Just in the site to watch him throw in this Ben Johnson system, whereas like every square inch has to be accounted for because we're going to challenge all of it. We're going to throw something over here. They're going to throw something over here. And I know I'm simplifying this thing. But like, that was a showcase yesterday. It gets off to that hot start. Brandon Atlanta in the way, like, the chargers are the only teams not getting back into these games because you're watching Vegas going, how are they back in this game? Okay. Atlanta is the epitome of the NFL product where you go, they're going to get back into this. Like, they're going to have the ball down a fucking possession. Like, how is this going to happen? If we just focus on the positives, which is also, um, Gordon a corner coming in and just having like a hall of fame type game there, watching Caleb operate this system because, you know, I'm noticing more of these things because I have to pay more attention to it, having you on the pot every Monday. Like Arizona gets criticized for not enough bunch formations to release against pressure for the receivers. Then they ran back to back plays on opposite sides. I was like, is this in retaliation of the Marvin Harrison Chris? Yeah. Yeah. And by the way, we ignore the noise. Actually, that's a pretty good idea. Yeah, we could run. And by the way, both those plays were awesome. Yep. Uh, I loved kind of how they not were just going up because it's numbers. They were, they were basically like, out of this group, you were not giving away who the actual intended receiver is on top of this. We're in college. It's always, it's going to be that guy standing there. So I don't have anything else. I don't have anything else other than I wanted the Caleb thing to be acknowledged, because I do think we need to get to two huge pieces of breaking news. So, uh, Jalen Hertz is going to be up for the rest of the season, placed on IR blood clots in the lungs. It was so bad that after the London game, they told them to not go to sleep for 36 hours. And he's on blood thinner. So now he's going to be out for the season. Uh, he didn't play obviously with Tanner McKee in in the Eagles, Losta, Carolina. How do you think this impacts how Eagles management will look at this year, involving Syriani and everything else? Well, the even trading away, starting Camjurgens, who I know now, it's like, oh, he's playing bass. He's actually who's still fine, still starter. Uh, that was always kind of like, okay, that's, that's kind of the first domino to fall. Like, if you're trading, no one trades starting off in alignment. Like, especially if you're playing four new ones next to your left tackle, third of the way of the season, you wouldn't think. But yeah, I know. So that was always the first sign. And then when guys are dropping, you know, just injury wise, but I do think, you know, especially given the, the GM, how we, how we Roseman, he's so aggressive that he doesn't, this is a guy that was playing packups in a week 18 game, week 17 game, but no one else does that. You know, there's none of that. Everyone wants to say, tank in the NFL. You can't tank. You mentioned all the defenses being tired on those Broncos teams. It's such a human sport. Like, it's as hard to tank. There's too many guys involved. But I do think that they're going to be sellers and aggressive sellers. And they have some interesting guys to sell. You know, say Juan Barclay, uh, Moro Jomo, the defense alignment who's going to get paid this off season is a great player. Those guys that have contracts coming up or nearly coming up or a certain age, I think they'll be very aggressive at the deadline. I think they know what they are. And also, they're just kind of like how he has that, he has that bandwidth or that timeline to be able to do this like Southern GM. Sorry. No, no, no, no, no, no, we still make a run like he knows he's going to be here for years. That's why he trained for 2028 picks. Um, but no, I think they'll be aggressive sellers. Like if I were a team, I'd be calling about Devante Smith. Just just in case, just to see, you know, just, just got to see what you got there. I feel like he's one of the five guys that is not created. So is it Jaylen? Is it Jordan? Is it Smith? Smith, uh, the defense alignment Carter and Jordan Davis and Jordan Davis. Well, I went to a lot of two. Yeah. So let's call him in there. That's probably and then maybe, uh, Quenial, Cooper, DeGene, but then that, Vaughn only because he's a little bit old. I don't know how old he is. Yeah, I think he's, he's a little builder. But yeah, he's not, maybe he's not that old. I don't know. I always feel like everyone's 29. I'm always like, Hey, he's 29. Like, well, I don't know. They kind of feel like he is. Because that was bad. He's by the way. He's 29. He turns 30 in December. Everyone's 29. Uh, but yeah, he could be movable. I even actually looked at his contract, but again, how he's creative. He does that stuff. So it's given the team that's involved. I do think they'll be aggressive. Sowing and they have some interesting pieces and carrots that they can throw out there. And without giving the way, like the true kind of like load bearing players, um, Todd Campbell's been pretty disappointing. That's, that's another guy that's maybe, I believe they live in the Kobe Dean walk. Who's looking like an all pro this year. He's unbelievable. Never gave up. Never gave up. Never gave up. Yeah, it was his health more than anything. He's one of those guys. Everyone loves. It's just like, you know, just want them on the field, but he's playing like a friggin' all pro this year. I know it. I do think that they'll be sellers. I'm just the timeline after the season. So curious to me. Hertz has no trade clause, which is fungible. Um, cutting him or releasing him would be a poststudent first thing. But again, that's still messy. And it's more like, are you going in next year? It's going like, this is the last hurrah. Are you going for a full reshuffle reload rebuild, wherever you want to call it and gear it up for 2028. So it is just a very, and now you got this mess, um, which is the sleeping with blood clots thing is no sleep was, is. Bizarre to me also flying cross, not even cross country across the ocean and then you know on top of it as well it's like playing with a blood clot and knowingly it was like there's the information out there's very damning If it is actually how it went with the Eagles medical staff because that's like that's not like playing with a high ankle Spraying something like that. It's like the blood clots is no joke and there's just like a lot of warning signs here too So I don't know it's it's crazy circumstances right now Yeah, I mean you just gave the path that probably makes the most sense based on how we Rosemons Right, yeah, that this is going to be a full reset, but you know You don't want to be insensitive to what's happening with herds But these are the conversations the for offices having where it's like okay is this a full reset around herds You know, we're not even two years removed from a remarkable dominating Super Bowl performance against a cheese team We were like oh wait. This isn't going to work out for Kansas City in this one at all Ten minutes in that game Yeah, I'm gonna waste it all my time and energy like previewing that game when it was like within the first three drives it was over Like this is I Mean look we've already covered the how difficult the Hertz conversation is Weekly annually because you're supposed to say that he's better based on the resume and then you feel bad when you're like Yeah, I guess it works, but I don't like watching it I don't know. I don't know what would happen. I mean there was a moment then you could look at the AOC east and go Could we get back into this thing if we get the old line thing right? But then it's like so is Tanner McKee although Tanner McKee is like first round draft pick of you know They kind of like Tanner McKee or you know, they kind of like fill in the blank about every team's backup there. Yep There's some quarterback guys that that like him. I got my name thrown around with Jayland Daniel's people like you know Guys like Nate tights like him. I'm like oh great now. I'm the I'm the Jayland Daniel's guy if he plays But that's a roller coaster the Jayland Daniel. Oh, yeah, it's they use the perfect backup. Hey, there's some highs like you know He could run around. He's smart enough to play like certain of the handled offense But it's kind of like yeah, that's at least a wild card and the key everything has to be he's not a creator Everything has to be perfect around them like it's more like he's like the pocket guy Not having a fourth and fifth string running backs will probably be a start Yeah, an old line that they can't do any under center stuff an old line that actually You know what the Eagles look like they look like they have a first-time play car with an offensive line coach That just retired after being their offensive line coach for 15 years That's exactly what their offensive system looks like right now and then I'll talk about everybody getting hurt So it's that's what their offense looks like right now the defense actually playing pretty well It is I mean there's all sorts of guys up front even they don't have the full pallet of dudes Yeah, because there've been some guys that are missing time like that that unit has come along here And I thought that was gonna be like a sneaky weird spot after the Carolina Detroit tape of like with the Eagles Have something but it's just that we can't do anything and then you don't have any running backs and then Yeah, I know Smith was still running out and he came back after kind of getting banged up on that sideline route there a little bit I Did notice they're not calling a timeout at the end of the first half when you would have thought you would have called a timeout Just to make them have to put it on fourth down. I thought that was very weird I understood why Carol line it didn't want to call the timeout because it was great We don't have to put it but in that moment I was like what is Is seriana just like we stank in this thing? It doesn't really matter anyway. It's so aggressive. I know My destiny this group is gonna be really bold, you know They have the success in their back pocket. This isn't some other team that's gone to like other lesser organizations worst ownership With this spot Without the recent success would go hey the NFC East is wide open So even though our quarterback is gone. This is this is getable. Have you watched Alice? Have you watched the giants and what happened again? You know Washington feels like they're a mess. So let's go for I think It would be kind of like the respect that I have in Philadelphia and how smart they are is that they will not do they won't take The they'll look the division still in play if they think they think they can get some value back But I don't know if that's really going to happen in a league that it doesn't not like you have these fire sales in this league the way you do in the other sports Yeah, and that's why I think that I feel like they have for sure Make one more who it is is probably curious about but it is just I totally agree. That's never always just Because you need players if you want to bounce right back you need players still to build around too And they have enough youngish players that they could work out and even too like you're saying like silver lines Oh, we can make a push. It's like when the strength what's supposed to be the strength of your offense is a true weakness like the run game Then it's like all right Like he's putting it all on Tanner McKee to rip off 20 25 successful throws in the game It's just not the math that works out and like you mentioned the Eagles are very Self-aware as a team also sorry as you were talking I just thought about this because I was like okay there you mentioned not going to time out not being aggressive Last week or when yeah when they played in London they didn't go for it They went for a fort down, but they didn't do a cubic snake or as a third down. They didn't do a cubic snake and now knowing the hurts stuff I'm like I maybe should have realized that like why then your strength your team now you're not even just doing cubic snakes anymore The push push and then you know, maybe they right going hurts this clot And that's kind of one of those things where they were some play calling stuff now that I realized The push push part of it like I hadn't really made that connection because the overall success is been in a significant decline And whether that's not having Kelsey or it's not It's being called differently where it's like hey, they're false starting every single time that they do this whole thing So you've got to figure it out. It's off sides. So There's been non-hurts moments like or at least me I should put it this way There have been other moments earlier in the year So that was just kind of a carry-overs Well, clearly they don't like this thing as much but that's a really good point that you would bring up It's like hey, maybe for that game in particular There are bigger reasons than the lack of success on those plays This episode is brought to you by Raisin Cain's started back in the day by our friend Todd Graves Look if you're ordering Cain's you already know the move You get the box combo That's for hand-batter chicken fingers golden crinkle cut fries Texas toast and a side of Cain sauce They stick strictly to high-quality chicken finger meals made fresh and cooked to order parrot With a freshly squeezed lemonade or iced tea and you're set for Halloween This year Cain's is rolling out a limited edition 32 ounce purple Halloween collectible cup featuring trick-or-treat characters Skeletons ghosts Mommies and witches Caring pumpkin baskets and Cain's cups at restaurants nationwide starting October 14th Head to your local Raisin Cain's and pick up one of these collectible cups for 149 each with a purchase of any combo or 32 ounce drink Raisin Cain's chicken fingers one love Okay, the other piece of breaking news Chris Baller 10 years cults out not good enough This team is tune 11 and it's last 13 games the Daniel Jones at Giants fans were like we're gonna extend this guy Then wondering what kind of numbers he gonna get that first half of last season um, you know The quarterbacks in and around this long tend to when you could even make the argument with Arnold a little bit I know we already touched on some of those those numbers the late game stuff It's like there's sometimes a reason why he's back guys bounce around a little bit There've been a million Daniels Jones moments for this and the Titans finally get a win It's not like cam ward lit it up He was pretty jeffery Simmons should be everybody's like all provote this year. Oh, yeah fucking unbelievable I'm such a huge fan But Whatever you want to do on this. I don't know if it's a ballered conversation and how many misses there were but this felt inevitable And it's obviously astonishing that he was he got this kind of run And yeah, and I mean this is this this coldsman Uh, I mean even they are like hey, we got to run it back like that's hey if we Bad on what we looked like in the first half of last season. Hey like this guy we can get this right You know that's actually words from the ownership this offseason And it was like whoa, but you know, you're betting on the outlier wasn't hey, Daniel Jones playing turning into a pumpkin and getting hurt The outlier was the first half of last season that where they were scoring three points of drive and They're 30 more than 30 points of game and it was a legit very good offense They had some great game scripts that I love them to do that But it was a talk about self-reflection and self-scouting It was like they were betting on the outlier as opposed to what Daniel Jones has been most of his career Even his most successful season were Brian Dable. It was a very streamlined offense That actually you can kind of see what the Titans right now uh where it's just a lot of RPOs a lot of using him like Grand the The freaking battering ram and the run game just going going straight forward and just like who cares and then it worked But it's not like a top five top eight top 10 guy. That's more like hey, it's average And that was the best that we've seen Daniel Jones and now you take away his athleticism and the Achilles And also he's never been a guy that Is particularly aggressive he was last year and it was kind of refreshing But now he's gonna just play like his normal self like you're talking about with Darnell They kind of always revert to what their baseline is and his baseline is safer He wants to scramble, but now he can't scramble and so that is more what it is and I mean, this is a team the higher Jeff Sarade Actually, I think this is the anniversary of the Jeff Sarade experience when they played the Vikings because I think they're playing the Vikings this week too So you got that on top of it and it's just none of these players work out like they've had the same issues for a while lack of pass rush Um, the plans was some of these guys, like they, I really liked out peers, but then they got rid of 80 Mitchell and then now they immediately needed receivers. Like it's just, there's a lack of foresight for Bauer, who's been there for so long. And you mentioned, we just talked about how we, you know, that they have a lot of foresight with their stuff, trading for a corner and sauce gardener who's very good, but also is a particular type of player. He doesn't fit into every scheme. But on top of it, trading two first round picks for a corner, not an edge, not a defense attack. That's kind of how more team based stuff happens. And they were doing it with even Daniel Jones wasn't under contract after last year. They had to re-sign them. So it was a murky quarterback situation regardless. And you're trading away a first rounder from that next year. You're not good enough to be doing that. No, like, hey, you're sitting in the room going, is there a chance this is a disaster scenario if we go eight and nine? You're like, yeah, they just looked at the upside, nothing but upside. They didn't look at any of the downside of their moves. So it's, I think they've re-signed a lot of B players, B minus players, they kind of hold on to them too long. Regardless, there are positives. Of course, Jonathan Taylor, the old line actually plays pretty well. Like they are actually pretty well coached on their Tony Spirano Jr. Alec Pierce has developed into a good player, but Alec Pierce has hurt. And again, they signed that, knowing that he was hurt. So it's just a lot of these decisions where they only focused on upside. And I think a lot of GM play, you don't want to be a verse, you know, away from caution. You don't want to just always shy away from it. Like you can just go, yeah, okay, we got to be careful here. We got to be safe here. There is, you know, you got to risk it for the biscuit. But I do think sometimes that they just kind of are like, hey, no, upside, upside, upside. This is what the best version of it is as opposed to all focusing on what the downside for any of these moves can be. And I mean, this is just what it is, especially in a division that's been winnable for years and years and years. Let's hold off on the sad rankings because I want to do some quick hitters with you. Okay, ready? Ready. Okay, so JJ McCarthy goes for 240 plus yards in the last 12 minutes of that game against the Saints. And it started off as like, oh, it's going to lose. They go off. And you're watching James fall apart. He gets pensioned that game. That is the second most yards and last 12 minutes of the fourth quarter in a game since 2000, which means that it's just as deep as the numbers go back. Wow. Drew Buries at 249. JJ had 243. Usually you win. Yeah. Storm to a huge comeback and win. This is not another way to find a way to be like negative about McCarthy. But what you're also when you're down that big, there's some yards out there because they're going to just let you and, you know, whatever. But it's going to lead at least kind of our original Eagles point of like, Giants fans this week, what Colin radio would be like because of JJ's fourth quarter and what James is and what he also isn't. And then you look at the division and Hey, where the Giants, it's such a weird season for them because every week you're watching him going like, they're going to win this game, like even when it was happened with the Saints, I was like, what is the Giants record? It's going to be this. They're going to be in first place in the division. And sure, I think we would all agree. There's a lot of there's a lot of players on this, this roster we'd like, you know, at the beginning of the year with Jackson, you're going, you know, there's there's probably more to this and why Harbaugh was so bullish on taking the job so quickly. You know, some guys maybe he just took it because he's like, I don't want to do anything else. I just want to be a coach. But there was a lot, especially that first win against Dallas, we were like, I think there's more here or maybe I was just playing the whistle or you're nodding, you're agreeing. So we'll just keep it moving here. But Jamis is a bit like someone's dad who visits you and your roommates on parents weekend and you're just like eight o'clock, he's doing great. 11 o'clock, he's good midnight rolls around and you're like, this has been a lot of fun. Like my 50 year old dad is able to hang and then it's like one and you go, hey, you gave like a girl from my bizzad class your card and said you found it Xerox. Like you've got a fucking calm down a little bit. Like I know mom isn't here. It's just Jamis is there's going to be moments where it's good. But I wonder how much of a argument they'll be to replace him with JJ just because it feels like that division is winnable when I would tell you like you this is the Jamis experience. Like long periods of time, probably not. But you can put up with the ups and downs if JJ's still your best option unless they were like, we're totally willing to use this as a development stretch, which doesn't make any sense. I don't think that that's that's what they're going to do because of all the division points we've already made a million times here. Yeah. And also it's like which you mentioned like end game stuff, especially in blowouts. It's like a lot easier on the quarterback. You're not going to see some exotic blitzes. You're going to get kind of safer coverages. Also helps when like Malik neighbors looks like a god again. And it's just like tipping up. Just just skying eye for catches. They had Charlie Jones. I think had a tipball catch to himself like he's Randy Moss against the bucks in 1998. Like he's doing stuff like that. So and if you look at like target charts, it's hilarious because like JJ was just ripping it like every throw is down the field. Yeah, yeah, 10 throws, a 10 or more area yards and Winston had eight in the entire game. James, that's the thing. This is okay. I'll start with James. James too is that if you're going to ride the James experience, it's that he is going to live and die by pushing the ball. And if he's not pushing the ball and not doing it well, it's kind of like, all right, we're just dying here because he's not going to be a guy that nickel and dives. He's going to be a guy that pushes. That's why he gets 30 touchdowns, 30 picks in a year. But if he's not doing that, it's like either we have to help the offense do that or tell James, hey, stop trying to be safe and just go and just rip it. But that's the thing is like his arms definitely died on him a little bit. And he has that longer throwing motion that baseball throwing motion that that's not a great combo. If you're going to throw like penics or buy and left witch, you have to have a freaking hose and just rocket that throw. But he just kind of has lost that. So it's kind of the average is arm right now. And he's not a great athlete. So it's like, all right, you're not going to be precise. You're not a great athlete. And now you're not pushing the ball. All right, we need you to do one of these to like make this a livable thing. And why I'm saying it all, all that is McCarthy. I still don't think it's great. The Vikings, he was not good. And also some of that was mental and learning the playbook as well. And that's why maybe in the simplified kind of game script, it helps him out. But at least he was pushing the ball. You know, hey, they got some good pass catchers neighbors is neighbors is a top 12 guy. I mean, I really is. I mean, Chris Alavi is too, by the way. But like just like he's really freaking good. Isaiah likely is really good. One of the best for Asian sciences offseason mind you. And then Malachi fields can go up and get it. They have some juice at receiver. They just got to give him chances. So even if McCarthy's not great, at least he's trying some stuff. And I think that's where I don't know if he is the answer. Would you do it? Would you do it for a month? I don't know, because I know it again. It's the Daniel Jones thing. I've seen McCarthy and I've seen those cheetah doesn't change the spot. What if it's not enough, though? What if it's like, hey, he didn't throw a ton of Michigan, but people love the tools part of it. He misses his first year. And then now he's on a good team in Minnesota where he doesn't get like even though we have these quarterbacks, enter these disastrous situations. Is there an argument made of like it could be a worst case scenario when you're a rookie or at least your first year playing and everybody else thinks that they're a playoff team? And I think too, I think that I want to say it's the downside, but another benefit of all this actually is that hey, maybe McCarthy is something and wait, what's we got to give him reps to get there. So I actually they must have liked him. They traded for him. Right. Maybe that's some of the hard bob Michigan thing, but that's another thing too. But they I do think. Yeah, because it's just the thing. James hasn't been good enough. If it was just a normal quarterback like Case Keenum, you know, I'd be like, I don't know about that. Keenum can actually operate this offense, but it's like, James has been so bad. I know some of the results haven't pointed that way, but it's just like, he is not doing anything to like hang their hat on passing him wise. And now they're doing a run back by committee, like, you know, camp scataboo last year's, you know, glory boy who for 400 yards has is in 400 advertisements this off season. He's now getting quasi-bentched. So that's another thing I asked, but they don't have a run game they can lean on. The defense is missing tackles. They can't stop the run. So I don't know. I think maybe my answer is, well, just roll with JJ and just not because it's like, Oh, he's anything great. At least he's a different dice roll than kind of what you know what you're getting with James right now. Okay. Uh, you go with me. I got one for you. Well, I wanted to bring up some coward Gordon stuff, but you already did. No, no, the so just to reiterate the coward Gordon is that he is, and if anyone doesn't know, from Washington, he's been in this defense for a while, but he is a significant significant player, you know, slot guys have kind of gotten like, Oh, everybody needs a slot defender, but he's actually a really, really freaking good one that is just always hurt. But when he's on the field for the Bears, it's significant. Like they go from a since 2024, a top 10 defense against the pass, uh, to the bottom five defense against the pass when he's off the field. And he's missed a lot of time. So there's actually a good sample sizes for both. But last yesterday, he finished with, he read, uh, he had eight pass rush snaps. He finished with five pressures, five quick pressures, three sacks, two strip sacks, and he had a TFL, and it was just like, he had the highest quick pressure rate on record for a DB since at least 2018. That's as long as I can look back tied for most sacks by DB in the game since 2018. And it just, we talked about MC North, there's just so crazy figure out, but the Bears defense can do this and be aggressive. And I, they benched their guys. That's why the kind of Falcons got to come back and then they had to put the starters back on the field. But if there are offenses rolling like this, and if the defense can be weaponized like this and especially Dennis Allen, it feels kind of like early, she, when they brought in SPACS, where it's like, yeah, the defense isn't perfect, but check out these game plans and check out the aggression on the blitzes and everything. And I think the offense, it's not those chiefs offenses, but it's a very good one. I don't know, the math is changing for me with the bears. And some of the packers a little bit too, but definitely the bears, 'cause I think they're offence aligners and the wrong gamer, the real deal as well. - I have a quick Raider's, obviously, Raider's bills. Josh Allen was so good again and that absurd, absurd play where he throws it to Ken Coleman, where I think the past rushers were like, what the hell is he even trying to do? It almost stalled them a bit. I mean, he juke's one. I also couldn't help but think, but like, there's Baltimore watching the Max Crosby stuff going, hey, maybe we should have just done that. - Oh right, he's like, too different. The Max Crosby is like playing like his heart out. And this is a team that tried to sell him. He's like, yeah, whatever, I love football. Like, well, yeah. - Yeah, just picking up every time, 'cause I think I've caught like four pretty, like full length Raider's games. And I'm like, what showed up on his physical again? - Maybe nothing, really that mattered because they felt like, hey, it's Trey is a free agent signing in Max's actual, like, real resources into this deal. Which, that story's been told numerous times. I was shocked that Bowers target rate is in his high, 'cause I watched the game and think, what would Kirk Cousins be like to season if it weren't for Brock Bowers? Because I feel like every single dropback is, whereas he, whereas he, and yet, my bride still has like way more targets than even Bowers' stunts, which I was a little surprised by this. This is something I'm just gonna ask for your help on, 'cause I haven't told anybody about this, but there was a grown man holding a sign. He was a bills fan, the fluent of Vegas. And he was standing, he was holding a sign, he made it. I think there's a certain age, maybe over 14. If you bring a sign to a game, somebody should talk to you. And this guy was definitely older than he's 50 years old, maybe, and he was holding down his, he was looking at his cell phone, he's holding up the sign and it was like bedazzled. Like, there's some work went into this. Maybe his kids made it, that would be the one out. I'd be like, "Hey, bring this sign." And it's like, "Hey, I gotta remember to bring this stupid sign." But it said, "In Vegas, the house holds on 17. Josh Allen never folds." So, he wears number 17, I get that part. Do you understand the rest of that? I haven't been thinking about it every hour since I've seen it, but I don't, it's not like a blackjack joke. Is that what they're trying to say? But like, but 17. So, yeah, I don't know. They just said Vegas puns and they just weren't, or they just rolled with it. Yeah, you know, there was like Vegas, Vegas, Vegas. Yeah, maybe it was Vegas stands. I mean, it doesn't matter that it stands holds or whatever it said on the sign because it's, it's, yeah. I don't get that. You know, I don't think it's complicated. I think I've been trying to think if there's some other thing and I think it's just, hey, Vegas stands on 17, but Josh Allen never folds. Seventy wears, seventeen. I don't think it works. I think that guy needs to go back to sign school. Go sign guy for the UCW. No, they shoot. It was just like also the, it's funny. You started talking about that sign. I'm like, I think you know, I think I know it's signed because even not paying attention. A lot of these games have like multi screened everything. It's like not even paying attention. I noticed that sign as well. And also Jim Nance trying to do the peanut punch on JJ Watt and breaking his hand, which is also a hilarious thing because that was, I don't think that was a bit whatsoever. That was just unbelievable. Yeah, he brought it like, that's what was so funny. You're like, JJ's like, oh, yeah, yeah, try, try, try it. And like, Nance is like, okay. I'm like, actually like tried and busted his hand open. So I was another highlight from that game. What do you think about Trey Tucker for the Raiders? He's quite literally one of the fastest guys in the NFL. Like that's when he came out of my radar a few years ago. He was at the top of all the tracking stuff I look at on Nexon Stats. And now he, like, it's kind of fun to see Kurt Cousins even with his, you know, I'll call it pop corn arm, but he can still throw a nice deep ball. And it's kind of fun to like on top of ours. They've this guy Trey Tucker just blasted by everybody. So I don't know, I want to give Trey Tucker a shout out because he actually is pretty fun to watch. No, did all right. Last quick interview gets his college. My podcast also tired of me talking about Trey Tucker. So that's the exact reaction they have every time I tag him in a tweet, Trey Tucker guys fastest guy in the NFL. I was looking up Max Crosby Stats by the way. I think he's second right now in quarterback hits behind only Will Anderson. Yeah, he's tied, no, he's tied with Will Anderson. Cracker or so leading the NFL and QB hits. That's not surprising at all. No, he's bound for maniac. Well, McBride's got six games and Bowers has four. That's the problem here. Bowers has 42 targets in all four games. Their offenses, Carlos have just been chucking it because they, you know, some of the games they've been in and everything. Brides number three in targets for receivers and tightheads. Man, I think he was up there. Well, you haven't got to go into this week. He was up there like going into that. So too on top of it. JSN is 140 yards ahead of a lava at number two and receiving yards on the season. How many touchdowns JSN have? I think I saw that. I was seven. Seven with no auxiliary receivers taking any heat off of them and no run game. Seven touchdowns. Right. And a quarterback who is exactly like playing that well too. And I'd say maybe three games this season where I didn't know JSN would get to the game. Right. You know, being dumb and all that. Yep. No, I know. It's, he's unbelievable. It's, yeah, totally different animal than everybody else too. It's like he, I always say like certain quarterbacks were teach Dave JSN's teach tape for receivers. Just like just route running all that stuff. One of those easier set than done. Yeah, just do what he does. It's like no kidding. Like everybody wants to run around. It's like JSN, but like he's special as a route runner and just like feel. And I always say I love watching him unfold on a route. Like it's not just the quick slants and everything like that. It's like the deeper the route is, the more you see kind of like JSN's gifts. Like it's, it's really cool. Just like just seeing him like how he keeps his shoulders, how his balance is. It's just like you see every corner in DB just so uneasy garden him. Do you have another one? Or do you want to just move on to college? Let's move on to college. Yeah, I don't, I don't want to reiterate. We'll re-litigate the same Aaron Rogers through for 3.4 Ariards again. I watched it all. Hey, look, Jeremy Benart. It's a perfect fit for awesome. Well, I'll bring one of my favorite players in college. I kept talking about, I'm like, look, it makes sense to go in the second round and then when it's all sitting down, you're going to go, how come he went behind all of these guys? Because if you watched him the entire time, you're like, this fucking guy, I literally did kind of have like one nasty drop in that game yesterday. But as Rogers cannot push the ball down the field, okay, every single third down drop back, I just watch and go, where's this one going to go? Okay, and I know they've won a few more games and they pulled this one out. So there's like probably a bunch of Steelers fans that are tricking themselves into this whole thing. So I'm doing your quick header right now. But it is actually, if you were to say Jeremy Benart, you're like, you're going to play with Rogers, but he's not going to want to push the ball ever. So you will just kind of be this beast who's going to get all these short catches. And then it's up to you to figure out Rogers is now realized. And I don't know like what was happening in camp. I don't know what's happening with the practice reps on all these different things. But this is exactly who he was at Alabama. So it's like a perfect fit. He's going to end up like, if he's available in your fantasy league, just go grab him. 'Cause Rogers clearly is just going to keep throwing to him on all these desperation routes all season long. If, however, if Rogers survives. 'Cause I don't think this can keep happening to him back there. It is so ugly. And now I'm on his side. He's taking a fucking beating back there. And I don't know how he makes it through 17 games. And that's the thing is he's not bouncing back up quickly. - No. - Every time he gets hit, it's one of those where I'm like, you know, I'm like, oh, no, because it just looks bad. And no, I'm glad we get to talk about Bernard. Bernard Rocks, he's probably a coach as a dream block. Like I always say, he's a dirty work receiver. - He's just an awesome football player. - Yes. - He's smart. He's a great blocker. But like what you mentioned. 'Cause I think this has always been kind of undersold on Rogers is how much he creates and dust off off script. But if you're gonna do a lot of stuff off script, you need smart players, smart pass catchers to find the soft spots. To kind of go like, hey, I got throttle back down here. I got to find this area between the zone, yada yada when he get into Scramble Drill. That's like Bernard's perfect for that. And it's like, it makes sense that the guys are getting targeted the most. 'Cause DK is not really that. DK is a slank guy. Like he is. - They both had 11 targets. I mean, what did Rogers throw 50 times again? - Yes. - Oh my god, it was way too many. Way too many times. - Yeah, 49 times only three tight window attempts. It's just like, guy better be open or underneath and that's where he's thrown. But it's not about 15 targets, 11 catches. Jeremy had 12 targets. That's 27 targets and 22 catches with these two guys. - Yep. - And then Darnell Washington is the other guy because it's like, you can't miss him. Just like, just throw it to the frickin' silo. That's right out there. But no, it's, I thought it was telling that Bernard on that fourth down did the classic thing. He tried to gain ground and lost it and then they didn't get the first down. And Rogers was like, I'm still throwing it to him. Which usually Rogers, if you screw him over, you are dead. You are off the field. You're never playing again. So everything you're just saying, I tested sparing that out as well. - I think that point is great. 'Cause I think that throw is a real read into how Rogers like, he wouldn't have thrown it to him two weeks ago. three weeks or something like that. And you're seeing him, look, it makes a lot of sense for the depth of target right now. You don't have to worry about going down the field. DK's probably sick. I'm running some of these go routes going. All right. You know, I love the game, and I don't know if I love the game that much. No, it really reminds me. Randall Cobb was a totally different player, but that was Rodgers' safety blanket a lot. And like, it's a lot of same vibes there. This is kind of Bernard has turned into his little safety blanket. I love myself some Randall Cobb. Oh, everyone does. He's good to do when he came. He came in studio a couple different times too. Unless he was fake, but I would give him the I don't really know him seven minute endorsement, maybe 14 minute endorsement because I think he was great when he came by twice. All right, let's talk some college because the audience America, the world, patiently weights, Nate Tyson's this week on Archmaning after the archman takes not defending this week. Guys, so don't you worry. There's not that. So don't you worry. The tape was not as good as maybe everyone thinks out. I didn't have to watch this was not good. There's no opponent strength. The schedule here. No, I have no defending this one. I think the most damning one was the fumble at the end because he has a he has his reads open. And that that is very telling to me that's like, okay, they're not really seeing it. He looks at the out route and just doesn't throw it in that and then double clutches it and then takes a sack. No, it's it's one of these things. The whole Texas offense is sad, speaking of sadness and just poorly coached. The whole lines poorly coached. The receivers are poorly coached. And I think Arch is just not helping it at all. Then he just doesn't have that kind of mindset right now to help it. So yeah, no defending this one. I maintain the Tennessee Oklahoma film was good. Not this not this film. No, there's no defending it. And now the the backups getting first team reps. So we're we're we're in for a nice fond one here. I want to talk to your mastermaker. I want to stay on Texas real quick though because Pete Dammel had a piece today that said that the backup this is really weird. And I'm just going to say right now there's no fucking way Arch branding is losing his job. Okay, turmoil. Sark, Texas branding, all of that shit. That's that's not going to happen. I mean, I would bet a very expensive dinner. But it was odd that the story came out that it was like, Hey, so I don't I don't understand what that was. And sometimes I wonder like is this so another guy who's the backup is going to get a few more reps. Yeah. What's when is that ever fucking news, except that it's archmaning and that it's Texas and it's this offense, which just to quote some Bill Conley numbers here from ESPN. Bill Bill. They're 104th in yards for play right now. They've allowed 43 tackles for loss, which is a hundred and twenty first. There's 138 teams in college. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Triple digits is I kind of I don't know the number anymore. And I just know that's not great. Well, you got to look at it every year. They have a three and out rate of over 34% of their possessions, which is 122. They're plays the percentage of plays that gain 20 plus yards under five percent. That's 126. But other than that and all in calling Simmons as a high ankle sprain. He's out for four to six weeks. That's right. No, the the three and out one. The one that's been again, if you have a quarterback, that's a prospect. I'm going to watch your offense a lot. And I'm going to start nitpicking a lot of your stuff. The one thing that always stands out to me when I watch Texas is how terrible they are in short yardage and how they gouge. He bring their stuff so much in short yards when they should just run freaking duo. Duo's man blocking. It's at you. I can one day explain it. But I looked up and success rates since the start of last year, they're 113 on third and fourth, third and fourth down in one and two yards to go. 113 and short yardage. That speaks to the three and out stat. They probably brought up because there's a lot of those drives. They're run game going into this week. I looked this up. I think they were 98 on early down success rate on the run game. And this is Texas with two transfer backs, two offense attackers. That'll probably be top 50 picks. It's kind of one of these things where it's like was as offensive. This was often supposed to put up 30 like it's nothing. And then maybe you know some of the worst teams, they could go 40 and 50. And it just there's no flow to it. Stilted. I really think the honesty they should drop any training wheels and they should just drop back 40 times. There's a letter rip. But now they're playing their practicing the back up and it's like, oh, okay, maybe not. Because I do think that there's a lot of galaxy burning in the offense where it's just like, oh, we're going to do this special playing short yardage where none of our often interior offense line and even climb to the second level, which is absurd to me. Like, if you notice, like Florida's Mike linebacker just sprints through and makes a tackle like every short yard play. It's like, how is this not incorrect? This isn't about one week thing. But no, it's it's pretty rough. Like every stat I look at, it's pretty rough. Do you have any concept of who you think is really good? Oh, in college? No, I thought Georgia was the team. And then, like, that was the one team I felt actually really good about going into last week. Like, I kind of was in the Notre Dame. I was squinted at like who they would play and I'm not going to be like, relitigate, fricking Notre Dame scheduling and all that. I also like Bearbock Meyer a little bit. But no, I do not. He's got more to them than I expected. I hate the number, the personalities, whatever. But like, I had to watch their tight end last year. And then I watched him. He has a little bit more pocket two, like pocket pass or two of them that I expected for a guy named Bear wearing number 47. You know, I may be narrative scouted him a little bit. If I'm being honest, no, I thought Georgia was the team. And then now I'm like, what's like, and I'm a Byron Brown guy. And I was sorry, I sold my stock on Byron Brown. And I was like, well, you're going to lose the Byron Brown and Auburn and all that. So, yeah. Miami wasn't looking great either. I still have questions about them. So I don't, I have no idea who I'm hanging my head on. I wasn't trusting Bama. Tennessee's offense. I'd love their defense. Their defense is sick. They have a great defense tackle too. But their offense, you know, I just watched there. I'm there. No, I know they changed quarterbacks and all that. But yeah, I have no idea who to trust. Do you have one hanging your hat on? I think the men's of Alachaya Tony thing and the collection of edge guys, you know, but I know Miami's not going to be as tested as much in that conference, which now if you like, look at some big 12 big 10 comps, like the big 12 is far closer to the big 10. Yeah. And the ACC is so far behind everybody else now on this. And look, I don't think the big 12 is better than the big 10. I'm just saying, like if you wanted to look at some of the metrics, you could say, Hey, there's more big 12 teams. I think in the top 14, the big 10, you know, sometimes this stuff can have a lot to do with like the bottom half of a conference. And then everybody's record looks a little bit better. So again, headline is not, I think the big 12 is better than the big 10 is just that they're a little bit closer to them. So factor in like what Miami's not going to face the rest of the season other than the Notre Dame game. I just, you know, I think Florida state, because like just trust and trying to that chambles, like, I don't know, they're the ones at least I feel like they give it, you know, I know the Florida game and everything. But man, they, that's one team. It's like at least their offense. I can trust that offense. And then like the defense is enough. But like that's one team I've actually enjoyed watching every week. I'm like, well, you know, I haven't had that like what is this kind of moment with them at all. It'll be a mistake to write up Georgia. I could see being up 14, nothing at home against Auburn coming off of the Bama game. But you know, Auburn move the football on them a little bit. And whether it's the dual threat, QB thing, they can, you know, you used to try me crazy. It's like, well, Sabin's pretty good except for the dual threat, QBs. You mean, you mean the guys that are going to like fucking number one in the draft? Those guys are tad more challenging than the rest of them. Yeah. I think that's yeah. I've always wondered that because I, you see in the NFL a little bit, is that some of these defenses that are so in tune on their coverage. And they have eyes on the routes and everything. And then the quarterback just skirts by. It's kind of like they're too complicated for their own good. And they forget about the, especially in college. It's like every quarterback can run in college, except for our guy Drake Lindsey. But it's like every quarterback, every quarterback can run and make it tough on the SL. I always find that kind of talking point funny. The Mestermaker game was awesome. But unfortunately, both of us at Wigman's on a heater. And I have it. It's certainly always like Tim. And he was somebody like, I don't know if you want to do the QB development thing here in the like the last 10 minutes. I feel like we should save this. We're already an hour and a half in. We should make this like a very specific thing that we saved for something else. Because like, hey, what's going on with Arch? Boom. Bryce Underwood. Yanked. They were a patient about it. And then the other car gets in. And they come back against Penn State, who's just not that good this year. So, you know, I don't know. But Underwood was just the Iowa game was the best game. And it wasn't even awesome. But it was just something you felt like you could build on a little bit with Underwood. And it's been just as fucking bad as it was the rest of the time. And he was like the number one guy. So all of this stuff with Arch. And then you got Mestermaker who's punning and playing corner coming in. And Bruce Feldman had this known on Eric Morris, who's the head coach of Oklahoma State. He's like, you know, this guy brought him Kim Ward in current at word. He also had Matier. He's got like this incredible track record. He was in my home sky too. He was like home sky. Yeah. He got Baker to go to Texas Tech when he was there right with Cliff. I think as well. I think that's right. Yeah. Because Eric played at Tech under Leech. So I think that was was part of the election. state thing that was happening as well. So look, I want to do this quarterback thing later on. Let me just ask you about the BYU game, 'cause I'm gonna bring it up a little bit later. Glasgow or the linebacker, not legend, Glasgow, the true freshman, but the other one. Were they doing some of the Minnesota stuff too? Against Notre Dame, which is everyone on the line of scrimmage and then their safeties are just so good at recovering in their linebackers. Like I was really impressed with that part of the game plan. They gamed up, so this actually, we were talking about, I was texting you about this, that they were doing the creeper pressure a lot, which was just breaking Notre Dame's past protection rules. So they were, what a creeper is, is you're only rushing for, but you are blitzing somebody off-ball and you're dropping something, you were telling it about that. Yes, and that was the exact same one that actually sent you. And so there was a, yeah, I know that actually sounded really bad, don't you say it back out loud. Yeah, we'll call this simulated, how about that? No, but it's, no, but what, so yeah, the difference is blitz is you're bringing five or more guys. A simulated is you're showing a blitz and then you're only rushing for, but there is a blitzer and you're dropping somebody else from the line of scrimmage. And then a creeper is, you're not showing a blitz, you blitz somebody and you drop somebody from the line of scrimmage. So you're only rushing for, but you're simulating or blitzing. You're simulating a blitz. If you just want to get to the literal definitions of all of them, but they just kept doing that, especially on that last drive and they kept getting home noradame wasn't adjusting because they can have a double benefit. It's either you're occupying the running back and you're dropping seven into coverage or you don't account for them like noradame wasn't and you just keep creating pressure right down the pipe while also having the safe coverage behind it. So they just kept doing that over, I mean, I watched the second half mostly of that game where I was actually paying attention, paying attention. And I just noticed there was the same one over and over and over and over. So that's kind of a defensive meta, you know, especially in college, but then I followed, they do it too, like, Fangio defenses love doing that. I thought Saiyan was terrible on Saturday and now we're not gonna have 'em around for not one, but two ranked games because good old fight and ship Kelly's at Northwestern or 24th in the country. - Cool. - But how's this gonna go out of here? - Look, I expect this to be a big game that USC loses because that's what they do. I don't know anything about Fahey other than they didn't necessarily trust him. The short yarded situation stuff with Ohio State like has been a lingering problem, factoring to some of their decisions there, but now they won't have Saiyan at least to like move around and then short throw. The pick that he had to, to Jeremiah Smith was just, I'm mad, I'm gonna throw at him. And then the touchdown where Smith was like, I'm just better than you guys. That throw was in the air forever, ever. And the fact that like the safety wouldn't be shading towards Jeremiah Smith in the end zone, like I know what the corner did wrong because he's like shit Jeremiah Smith has passed me. So now all I have to do is run and catch up to him. So now he's taken himself out of the way, not expecting a ball to be in that air forever. I don't know why the safety wasn't over there a little bit earlier, but it's a lot of fun. I think the overall thing from this is that Saturday, I don't know if Perry's the new normal. We could do some sort of parody conversation about the Eastern Conference and the NBA here, like his parody, the goal of everything now. But we have it. Like just about halfway through the college football season, we absolutely have it. And you better buckle up for some really weird playoff conversations from teams that you just wouldn't expect, which is totally fine because no one, you know, that top group there, it's the least impressive like one through six that I can remember seeing in a really long time. - Agreed. - And that's the thing too. It's like even if Sam was healthy, like okay, yeah, I can say how state's doing some good stuff. But then even if he was healthy, it's still, I've seen him enough in big games. - You would be on that? Like, I mean, they were the better team against Indiana. - Yeah. - 'Cause Indiana didn't do anything on offense for three quarters of them in the seven-year touchdown drive. Off to say and pick, but I just, I thought saying was gonna have this really nice leap this year and it just hasn't happened. And now, again, he's gonna be gone a few weeks. - And he keeps showing up against the better defenses that they played at the end of last year. It showed up against Texas. They early on, he was hitting some throws, but then as the game went along, he's just not throwing it. Unless it's sharing my spent triple coverage. And it's like, that's not an offense. Again, that's someone to group. - And it's a good one. - It's not an offense. That's not an offense. You know, that's not, that's a tough way to live, especially against defenses that are in tune of what you wanna do. So like, again, Indiana's really well-coached. Yeah, even with Indiana, it's like, they don't. - The defense doesn't feel as feisty on the back and Hoover's not Mendoza, even if Trolley Becker and Nick Marsh are bonafide top 20 picks. - Yeah, but they're better than the Super. - Yeah. - The Cooper and Elijah Sarat, they're way better than that. Becker, I had him as 11 or 12 on my big board going into the season. I think he's gonna be a top 10 pick at this pace. He's the easy number two after Jeremiah Smith. Like he's unbelievable and Marsh is really good too. Marsh might be number three. Like, I know Cam Coleman's not number three now. (laughs) But Marsh is what I call a power slot. Robert Woods is a great example. Jeremy Bernard actually right now is a great example of power slot. They do some tight end things. They lining up in the slot. They block their grade against zone. They work the interior of the field. But then Marsh can kick outside and win vertically too. So very, very cool player. But now they're not having the number one overall pick at quarterback. It definitely shows up even with their running RPOs or whatever, the bases of their offense. Robert Woods, huge Robert Woods fans on this podcast. One of my favorite college receivers of all time. Career touchdowns, do you wanna take a guess? Oh, a college or NFL? NFL. 24. See, people always underestimate my guy, Robert Woods. 38. I put you in an impossible spot. No. No, I love me some Bobby Trees. Yeah, Bobby Trees. Yeah, that's a whole new name for Robert Woods. Bobby Trees. Wait, wait. Does Pro Football reference have that? They don't have Bobby. Oh, yes, they do. Bobby Trees is down there. They have some bad nicknames for guys. Like, Dak Prescott's called like the Fortress. I've never heard a single person call him that. Like, there's some rough ones on there. I appreciate him gathering all of them. But no, Robert Woods is like the epitome of like that player. Bobby Trees. That'd be a good tattoo. Not going to get it. Thanks to Nate Ties. You can check him out on Yahoo Sports. I actually read one of his pieces this morning was looking at some stuff. And all time Saturday, college football felt very 2007-ish, although the 2007 polls started replacing all the top teams the last couple weeks. And you're sitting there going like who's going to play for a national championship. So we still have a lot of time to kind of sift through this whole thing. But that is what a Saturday is supposed to be. I was going over notes and looking at stuff. And I had forgotten all sorts of things just by the time. UCLA closes out Wisconsin by the end of the night. I mean, that was just one of those all time days and watching all these games and then being like, "Well, I don't have to watch this one anymore." It's like, actually, you do have to watch this one. Like at one point, I'd forgot the Texas was even up on Florida. We don't have to worry about Texas.dot.dot as of right now. Their offensive numbers are just absolutely atrocious. And I know there's a piece that we touched on there with ties about Arches job being a jeopardy. Anyway, number one, it's Miami. It's Miami in the AP. It's Miami in the coaches poll. They missed out on all the phone because Florida State was going toe-toe with them. I still don't really know what happened on the last call. Whether or not it was an interception. I thought Miami's defensive back didn't have control of ball at some point. And if it was a tie, it's supposed to be the offensive player. It was chaos when we're listening to the replay audio. And then you have Malachite Tony who-- I can't believe he's listed 5/111-88. I almost feel like that's wrong. Or he's so good, he just carries himself. Like he's a bigger deal. Our listing would have to be 6/4, 240, no gloves. And I know I've mentioned this before on Tony's the only one during a broadcast where somebody says he's the best receiver in college football. And you're like, yeah, you can't really say that with number 4 running around in Columbus. But I'd almost allow in the production meeting process of it all that if somebody set it on the broadcast, I still disagree, but I wouldn't mind it. And I don't know if I'm trying to do something different here because Smith really is that guy. But is Tony more fun? Because Smith is just-- all right, we can just throw it to him. And he'll save our ass every single time. Because that's what Ohio State's offense basically. is. And Miami has more to it. And yet Tony has these plays, they hand him the ball, him getting out and blocking. Maybe it's the gloves off moment. I don't really know. Florida State, you watch him in that game, you watch him in the first half against Alabama and you're like, how are you guys bad? Like what, what is your problem? And we can all sit there and say they get up for the game against Miami. And every single broadcaster brings up anytime it's kind of a rivalry game within the same state. It's like, well, you know, these guys are recruited by them. We're like, yeah, we got it. We got it. We know these guys all kind of know each other because they're from the same state, not every single guy, but enough of them. But look, they are now the number one offense in yards per play in the power floor. I know the schedule isn't strong. And it would have been even more fun had they lost because I was certainly rooting for it with all the chaos that we had. But we're only able to get five of the top 17s in college football to lose on Saturday. Number two, the AP has BYU, the coaches have Ohio State. I'm going to go with the coaches here. I'm going to consistently and I don't always stay consistent on this reward a team for playing Texas out of conference or in this case, Ohio State playing Texas out of conference or anything that is similar to that. And just aren't, although now we're kind of looking at Texas going, what does that mean? I think that's tough. I think that would have been a tough game for anyone in the country to schedule, despite what we think of Texas as offense right now. So I'm going to keep Ohio State at number two. I thought them beating Indiana was the right result. Indiana's only touchdown drive through the first three quarters was off the same interception we're clearly saying was just like, I got to get to number four. I thought clap was all over that in the call. As you saw the ball come out, you're like, he's just throwing it to him and not really thinking, figuring he's going to win every contest to catch. So that was a seven yard touchdown drive for Indiana's offense through three quarters. I use offense other than that four puns, two missfield goals, the two fumbles and they still almost won this game. Obviously they had the other touchdown. If marshes and out of bounds, you're left here going, I think the wrong team won based on how the game was playing out. Now the rest of the numbers are very close. You could say it came down to four downs the way Ohio states went against Texas two years ago came down to an interception and saying wasn't very good in this game at all. As we already mentioned, the interception part of this and then he gets knocked out where he looked like he was hurt while he got hit before he even hit the ground. If you look at the replay in his face, like he's feeling the pain on the collision, not even hitting the ground. So he's out. Faye comes in. They can't throw the football whatsoever. So Indiana at least didn't have to worry about that part of it. But if marsh stays in bounds, you know, Indiana may be the number one team in the country as of today. BYU was number two in the AP. As I said, number three in the coaches and I'm rewarding Ohio State for scheduling that Texas game. Number three, BYU. I was wrong about this game. I always remember the Iowa season where they were so close to getting into the playoff and I couldn't get past the regular season game against Wisconsin where I watched the entire game and I thought, okay, don't ever fall for this Iowa thing this year. And I ended up being wrong because Iowa was a much better team and it was kind of like BYU with TCU and then the rest of the schedule. But watching that TCU game, I'm like, how are you going to be the big boy with this kind of passing offense? And guess what? They had the passing offense in the first half. Bearbock Meyer was at 143 at the half against this Notre Dame defense. And we can sit here and then do the Notre Dame hadn't played anybody. But if you're doing that, then you're also diminishing who BYU was on a Saturday night because they were fucking awesome. Like of all the results, like Miami, Florida State, double overtime, whatever. Indiana, Ohio State, I think the right team won. I'll get to Georgia. I'll get to some of these other games. But a lot of the themes that I would have from these games is watching them play out. Like these weren't really that fluke. I know Georgia's going to argue that it was. I didn't necessarily feel that way. BYU was the one making mistakes with the fumble on the punt and then the bear interception in the second half that was inviting Notre Dame to get back into this thing. And BYU was going to be undoing everything they had done. And that's including LJ Martin or NFL draft prospect running back being out of this game. BYU is so physical. We know that they're physical against everybody else because of their coach and the mentality. And if you go there, I do think you are a little different in like the best football way because you're like signing up for something. It almost feels like a service academy at times. And you know, we could get to the talent or the roster because you could argue there's like seven or eight guys on this team that are considered like draft aware, you know, there's draft profiles for like seven or eight players on this team. But I just didn't think after that TCU game, I'm like, I just don't know how you're going to survive against like again, the top teams in the country. If you can't pass enough and they passed it great. And then really it came down to their defense. I noticed some Minnesota Vikings things where it felt like BYU was loading the line of scrimmage, sending pressure. They were winning up front a ton. Their pass blocking was terrific. Even though I know Notre Dame's best edge guy was thrown out of the game, which was unfortunate. But when you look at the line of scrimmage and you go, there's no difference other than, you know, this isn't some big gap that you may be expect for, you know, the teams that are outside of that top five all season long. And then you've got Glasker 16 at linebackers, like six 11. I know we six five, but he's all over the place. And then when you watch car drop back for Notre Dame, there just wasn't a lot of space like these safeties are really good. The middle linebackers are really good. So whether they're attacking the O line or they're clogging up all the throwing lanes, this was a really hard game for Notre Dame to ever feel comfortable offensively. And I was so impressed. And I know we could sit here and talk about the pass interference in the end zone. It was PI, the clock thing where there should have been another play, which the big 12 said after the game, that's fine. But it doesn't erase like the physical part of it where you like BYU looked like the more physical team. I don't understand why Jones Walden only have five carries for Notre Dame because once he actually got the ball there, a little bit lady started cooking. All right. So BYU was the better team. I have him at three. I'm going to keep Indiana at four. I know that there's a Georgia Indiana argument here. And I'm totally fine with that. If you want to say, Hey, Georgia has the win against Bama. Indiana doesn't have that unless you think Nebraska is Alabama, although after watching Alabama this past weekend, maybe that's more in play than we thought. I'm not quite there yet. But look, I'm going to put him number four. Here's a number to look at though. Last year on third down conversions for their offense. Last season, there were number one in college football at 55% this year. They're 44th. Notre Dame at number five. I'll move him down to number five. Georgia is higher in the AP than I have him. I'm putting them at six. Because I just think losing the Auburn at home is awful. The streak on this one, 93 straight number one wins. Well, I should put it this way. Number one teams at home against ranked opponents. It had been 93 straight wins. The last loss, you ever mentioned it. Remember this Reggie fish fans Arkansas double overtime at LSU in 2007. That was a 50 48 game. Arkansas was unranked, but there kind of had like 17 awesome running backs. And then LSU got back to the national championship game because it was like, Hey, it was two pointers. Double overtime with their second loss. And they won a national championship. There's another number from this game, or it was number one teams at home against unranked opponents up 14 or more points. It was like 198. No. In the last, however, 198 times, I don't know the exact number, but that one popped up as well. So that's kind of what you think. You're like, all right, Georgia's a 14, nothing. Auburn's offense absolutely sucks. And then it didn't suck. Now, I know you could say in other games, we were like, how did that happen? Like, well, Georgia had some penalties. They had the two interceptions. But after the two interceptions, Auburn went to three and out and punted. Yes, the fumble at the end led to the game winning touchdown. But this wasn't some like short field drive after drive for Auburn. We were like, how are they scoring these points? How are they running the football all over Georgia's defense? Auburn moved the football. Okay. I love their head coach, but this is an awful loss. And so with the BAMO win being better than anything Notre Dame or Indiana has, if you want to put Georgia higher, that's fine. But this loss, and sometimes we get too focused on like ignoring the wins and then focusing on the loss. But that's what I'm doing right here with Georgia. But you can't lose this football game to Auburn. And they did and guess what? They're still in it. And when the conference or excuse me, when the playoff expands to 80 teams in 2035, Auburn will be in the playoff too. So don't worry about it. Number seven Ole Miss, they're going to play their fifth ranked opponent in seven games this week when they visit at Texas. Texas is still ranked, hanging on by a thread here. They destroyed number 13 Missouri. And to, like, if you're going to beat Missouri, usually you figure their defense is going to suck. To hold them to three points, even though they gave up a ton of yards, because Ole Miss does kind of rank in the sneaky below average area in opponent's yards per play. I think what is it? It's 68th. Yeah. So that's even worse than I thought it was. Missouri three points, even though Simmons put up a ton of yards, they just couldn't get in the end zone at all. So that's, I know people can kind of like roll their eyes a little bit of Missouri, but Missouri had put together a couple nice weeks here. I know A&M is a mess. I know Florida. We can't figure quite figure them out. But that's just a demolishing of what looks like, you know, a good team. I'm not saying Missouri's great, but that was impressive. Number eight, I got Texas Tech. They have a first place vote in the AP. I don't know if the Soros B. Judge is also an AP voter. I was a little surprised to see that. And this is where it gets weird. I don't know what to do with any of these teams. I'll put tech there. That's fine. Tennessee. I have ninth. The AP has UCLA ahead of them. I think the AP has Tennessee 11th overall. This defense is really good. Now against Texas, you're kind of like, "All right, you know, they held them down." Everybody's holding Texas down offensively, so I don't know what that necessarily means. Against Kiel and Russell is, "Was it this game or the Kentucky games? It's the worst game of the season." Which I totally understand. Like, I'm not off of him. He had that really nasty three-week stretch where he looked awesome. He clearly flustered in a big spot against Georgia multiple times, not to be unexpected. He was a disaster in this game. In Tennessee's defense, his 10th and opponent's yards allowed per play and McIntyre's a quarterback. He was fine. He's not the difference. Like, it's not like, "Oh, they moved on from Faeson." So, now McIntyre's in their winning games. They're winning games with defense, and it was so nice to see Bishop and to hear his story throughout how bad he wanted to be a Tennessee. Just trucking everybody. He already looks like he's got like a 30-year-old guy's body running around out there. Like, I kind of expected an E60 on. I was like, "You know, I'd lost my job and I still had a year eligibility left. I just wanted to get out there and run around and throw the pads on again." I know that's not, Bishop's not that old, but just that body's working for him. Caitlin started two of seven for four yards in interception, turnovers, sacks. And there does seem to be this constant, even though they're fourth down numbers on the season are actually pretty good for Bama. But these short yard situations, because now they can't run the football again. So, like, Bama's week to week, I'm being able to run the football, because we're all still in shock of what happened to them in 25, and their inability to block with offensive linemen. They're going into the NFL, and they just couldn't do anything Indiana game horrifying, right? But then there are these moments where I'm like, "Oh, the O'Line's MS. Oh, the O'Line is fine." So, that seems like week to week, and I wouldn't put it all on Caitlin Russell in a young quarterback, like, making it harder to block for them, because it's just straight up run plays with them. But there is this, like, image I keep having with the Caitlin DeBora era, where it's this short yarded situation, they line up, and there's like a pre-snap penalty, or they don't get it, and then the shot is back to DeBora being like, "What happened?" And it feels like a blocking thing with them. Alright, that was a lot on Tennessee, and then into Bama. Number 10, I've got UCLA. 17 points against Wisconsin with your back of quarterback. It's actually pretty good, because Wisconsin's the number 5D in college football. So, no Nico, their first place with Ohio State right now, and their only ranked game the rest of the way is USC. So, UCLA, USC, 900 club, will probably charge a cover. Number 11, Utah, a battle with Colorado. Interception in the fourth kind of helped them, but they also had a hold off Colorado driving on the last one there. Damper was a bit of an adventure on that one. I have no idea. I originally saw it before the BYU Notre Dame game. Hey, I think you talk and hang in there with BYU. Throw the records out when it's the Holy War, but now obviously after this past weekend, I feel differently about BYU. And then number 12, I'll give Kentucky that spot, and good luck, feeling really good about who is number 12. You want details? Bye. I drive a Ferrari, 355 Cabriolay. What's up? I have a ridiculous house in the South Fork. I have every tour you can possibly imagine. And best of all kids, I am liquid. So, now you know what's possible. Let me tell you what's required. Life advice, life advice, [email protected]. We have just a great Monday ahead of us. How good is this week going to be? We got hoops. I haven't done my college football expansion topic yet. I'm going to put that in the holster for Wednesday for those wondering where that is. I'm promising that I'm just going to bitch for like 10 straight minutes and we have merch. Oh, yeah, that's a new one. This is part of the barstool, recillo show launch the framing t-shirt launch this weekend. So we have that in blue and white to our West isbury. Yep. West isbury in a mix. We have another one that's sort of a secret, maybe a limited run. We're on 100% sure. Is it like I could open in an Albany? No, because we're trying to cows representatives. They're really pushing hard on that revenue split. Yeah. So we don't have a Kyle shirt yet. I promise Kyle. I promise Kyle. I promise the audience. We have been working on a Kyle shirt. I'm glad there's just shirts, you know. Yeah. Christmas time is coming and I've expanded the people who get gifts from me now that I'm back. You know, this is an East Coast podcast this week, by the way. Just a little tidbit there. That feels good. But like since I moved back in the air. Yeah, my since I moved back my like who I need to have some comparing gifts for has increased. And so if we had merch, that would just do such a great. That would be great for me in this time of year. So yeah. I don't think I've ever told this story, but my mom bought the original legends, Rosillo hoodies, like just bought them from the thing I'm like, and you know a guy, like I'll hook you up. Just you bought a person family members. I'm like, this feels stupid, but appreciate the support. How often are those people wearing those? I haven't seen my brother in law wear it yet, but you know, we'll see. I'm not around him all the time. I don't know if you wanted to resell a wine yet to go get it. So, you know, I think maybe that was a good idea that she wouldn't got this. I was going to order some for the East Coast thing and then the shipping was was a lot. I was like, hold off. It was my own wine. And I saw the Friday beers guys popped there. It's this week. That was cool. Yeah. I know I sent that to them months ago too. So it's good to know they were saving for a special occasion. I thought that was like they're not just swillin it. Yeah. It's got two nights of a finish, but just you can't be cracking that thing open at 145. I wonder how the night's going to go, you know. Save that for special occasion. So yeah, the merch is out on the bar store merch page, at least the first shirt. And then this car heart hoodie is going to release later and then the mysterious limited run shirt, which again, I just don't know if people are going to buy that one, but we went for it anyway. So we'll see what happens. Nothing bad. Okay. Sounds good. All right. Let's read some emails. I feel who's back this week overwhelmed. I was going to say I think you're it did sneak up. I was a little bit it. I'm excited. I'll admit, like there's a couple moments this weekend where I was like, I can't wait to watch this team or I can't wait to see what happens here. You know, this East thing's going to be nuts. Because I'm open to like any order of a bunch of these teams. I mean, we have a scene on the preview, which checked that out if you didn't get a chance to last week. I'm really proud of that preview. I thought it was terrific with Sam. But him picking Miami got the NBA finals. I was like, holy shit. Can you stand by that? He's not he hasn't tried to walk that back at all. Nope. Yeah. Okay. All right. You guys ready to solve some problems here. Yeah. Always. Okay. This is a straightforward one. Is it weird to go to a concert by yourself 510 185 33 years old player comp Rodney Stucky, great downhill toward the rack and look a bit thick on the court. The fact here it's got over the past two years. I've been making a point to listen to genres and music that I historically haven't listened to. I had a newer found appreciation for lack of a better term jam bands and goose has become a staple in my rotation. Shout out Ryan. All right. Yeah. Thanks for checking them out. I live in Chicago. The Chicago suburbs and saw they're playing up in Milwaukee A in a few weeks. A little over an hour from my house. Is it weird to go to a concert alone for context. None of my core guys are fans and I doubt they would want to use one of their guys night chips on a concert for a band they don't listen to that's fair. Those chips are gold when you have very young kids like we all do normally my wife would tag along but we have an almost two year old and a newborn a month old so she can't leave this little guy just yet. My wife is great totally finally going especially since we have family in the area that can pop over to help if I'm gone for a few hours feels like a great opportunity to drive up get a solo dinner hit the concert head home. I just have an aside on like the new kid thing and sorty certainly can correct me here and maybe I just grew up in a different era. But the other person just can't ever leave like aren't there going to be times where you're at work. And the other person is I know too it's like going from one to 12 I understand that it's crazy but crazy. Like how does it work like what if you said hey I want to go play pickup hoops tonight. Is that a no usually it's just like. If it's if it's on the calendar and it's been there and it's notifications has been there then it's okay if it's like a last minute thing that's probably no because yeah I was in the men's league and it was great was fine was only like an hour of the of an evening here and there. But the jump I mean the jump from one to two is crazy like I just look back now and I'm like how did I ever think having one kid was hard like having two is insane. Um one kid is just like it's like a roommate you're just hanging out you know it's not that big deal. But yeah not the one kid parents really mad at me now. But it's like either you're the kids they can't vote they don't have. They got one kid, they can't tell you you're wrong. - Yeah, that's fair. - But I, I, I, I didn't know that I've never met anyone that was like, actually when two came around I got way easier, I've never heard that sentence uttered. - I think they do say four. When you get the four, you just let the kid, these are always kind of raised. - It's other games, that's, yeah. - That was our thing, is it was all gapped out enough. I can just tell you this, that once I was old enough to take care of, I mean, it could be a month old, and it was like, you got this, run formula now, so go ahead. - Back to the question though, I think it, I think it just depends on your partner. Like, usually my wife is pretty cool with it. If I wanted to do something or go out or whatever, like, you know, maybe we had a golf trip a couple of weekends ago, you know, we also have, you know, family close by that can kind of help out. So I don't want to be speaking for other people, but yeah, like it's hard if you're just like, "Hey, a new born and like a two-year-old." I mean, we're at what, four and 18 months right now, and like, it's hard when you're by, you know, if you have like, five hours together, you don't have an activity plan. Like, what are your houses gonna be torn apart? Like, kids are gonna be crying, you gotta cook meals. Like, it's not easy. But, you know, I think it just kind of depends on how. - So it's not illegal to try to do stuff. It's just bad for-- - Of course not illegal. - It's just like, it's like breaking a social norm at most, like, without the proper heads up, okay? - I just feel like a lot of relationships are built on suffering, and it's like, if I'm gonna suffer, you too will suffer. - I think that is true. I think there are some parents that want you to be like, tell me how hard it is. And then when you're like, it's actually kind of good, you feel weird, 'cause you're like, I'm supposed to be in this like, pain thing with you. And, you know, so listen, some kids are just harder than others, like, my daughter's gonna be like, "Well, significant others would each other." - Oh, yeah. But I mean, I think the kid thing with the parent thing, like, there's some parents that just like, "Hey, we're in the thick of you." Like, we're in the trenches here, right now. It's like, yeah, yeah, like, it's hard, but like, here's also some pretty awesome parts, too. So I just think it's kind of the mindset. - Yeah. Okay, all right, so back to our solo concert guy. For context, none of my core guys are fans. Okay, we've already covered that. Feels like a great opportunity to drive up, get a solo dinner, hit the concert head home. I've never been to a concert alone before, but in my mind, it can't be that much different from going to a movie alone, which I prefer. Have any of you ever done a concert solo before? Is it weird to be the solo guy at a concert? Where should I sit? I'm thinking, pit, so I can walk around versus being solo in a seat, but interested in the crew's input. Also for Ryan, any other band similar to Goosey, recommend to a newer listener. I'll think about the Goose thing. Did you guys ever done a concert solo? - No. - But I hate ICP, doesn't count. - Fuck out, man, you're never by yourself. - I felt like one song, I don't think I ever told you. I liked it. I found like one song interesting when I discovered it. And I'm like, what the fuck is this? Sorry for Carson, but I. - Well, that's not, that's not my thing. I just, I don't know how this is still running. - But is the gathering like an, does it give you entry into all of it? - No, I've never picked up a poop dollar either. - Are there levels? - Yes. - This is like the Illuminati. - If I could just get my thing out and I'll just be done, it would be done. (laughing) I think once you start going to movies alone, I think that opens the door to like anything, anything at all. And I think concerts just the next step. And I think honestly, concert if you're a guy who's into meeting people, that's probably the best place to meet people that like this thing that you like. I mean, you're married and you're going back to your kid. So it's not like, where can the night take us? But I think it's like, if you're a friendly guy and don't want to feel alone, I don't think you'll feel alone for very long, especially if you're going out of the pit. But yeah, I think once you start, like you break that cross that threshold of going to movies alone, like really anything's possible. - Yeah, I guess I don't know. I am, you know, a movie alone for me is the top three to five activity. I mean, it might even be one. Like I don't, you know, like I give in the movie today, the mood I'm in, I love it. I have never done a meal alone and I've never had, I mean, I've never, like I never sat. I've never sat at a restaurant like a sit-down restaurant and had a table. - Got a table, yeah. Got a table. - I've never done it. - Have you ever done it? Got a table? No, dude, I'll sit at the bar. Maybe I tried to get at the bar and there was nothing and they gave me a table, but I can't remember anything like that. I'm, my wife is, I still have to remember my wife doesn't like to sit at the bar 'cause sometimes I'm like, we'll just get to it at the bar and she looks at me like, really? I'm like, okay, so I'm like trying to change my ways, but I'm firmly a eat at the bar guy if I can. But I feel like a concert is not the same thing and I don't know that I have like great statistical facts to prove that. It's just a feel thing in me. Like, I don't even have a body for a thing like that. Like an adventure ride, but I don't know. I'm trying to think there's like air guitar with, you know? That doesn't even know you and he's like, I'm playing guitar. - Right. - I mean, if there's air bass, that sucks. (laughing) Maybe you're finding, you know, air drums buddy, you can do that, make an air band. Is there a band, like though, I'm just starting to think like if there's, is there a band I would go to see by myself like tomorrow? You all must have two true drummers. You just start to happen the guy. But it's fine. Try to do it. - So no concert solo ever for you guys. I think this is a massive departure. Like the eating alone thing. - I mean, I think I've done it 12 times this week at a table. I was trying to have, I'm kind of having a hard time remembering the last time I sat down and had a meal with somebody else. Which is, I'm trying to think. - Tell me it wasn't with us in Chicago with Titus. - That was February? - No. - I just, I just want to make sure. - It's not about that. - We'll check in for our guy here. - No, no, I, it's not that bad. Look, is a solo, I mean, I am on solo, but I don't know. - You're the soloist. - Yeah, thank you. - New t-shirt. - Concert solos, I think a whole 'nother level. - And Goose is just so much fun. Like I'm saying, do it, but you probably, I don't know, the seed things find like, I'm trying to remember solo concerts. I went to DJ Shadow because he was doing introducing start to finish in Chicago, and I was totally fine. I knew there wasn't, I didn't want to have to explain it to anybody, I could have brought somebody, but I go in, I don't even want to try to explain to you why this album's so great, and it's 30 years, and he's playing at start to finish, and it's this huge deal and that everybody that loves it is like so fired up for this tour that he's doing, because I'm really mad that I missed Mastodon's 20th anniversary thing, and so, I went sat down and I was so into it. I went to Pat Muthini, like, 20, I don't know, six, 27 years ago, by myself, 'cause I knew no one would want to go, and that was back when I had like a million friends, but I was like, I don't know, explain that I'm going to this jazz guitarist concert by myself and whatever, and I remember I went to a local bar, sat there, I had a sandwich at the bar, eat at the bar, Kyle had a beer, a single beer, and then went in and sat down and was surrounded by music dorks and I went, although I might be a music dork, and he knows, and I sat down and I was like, this is such a bad idea, like you're just going to sit here, this is going to suck. And then Muthini gets out there and within two minutes, I was like, this is one of the greatest concerts I've ever seen, and to this day is a top five concert. So, Goose is kind of fun and up, and you know, if you're new to it, maybe you're not going to be singing along a ton, I would just move, I would just move around. But yeah, I think the solo concert thing is a whole 'nother level, certainly movie. Movie, everything's fine. - And you can look so sick when you want to leave too, right? You're not waiting for Jason to get enough of his songs for you to be like, all right, now we can head out. So the second the vibes feel like it's time to go, you can just go back to your happy family with your cool life. - Here's the thing though, they're a drug band, right? You know, you're doing like, it pulls there. Well, I don't know, I'm just saying, they're a jam band, usually you do some medical, like you pop some edibles, and you're like, does not my scene, I don't know, but like, is that a thing? Like, are you just gonna be surrounded by a bunch of, you know, people like, tripping on acid out of there? I don't know, is that gonna be fun for you? I don't, maybe depends on the concert. Like, if you're going to MSG to see somebody doing acoustics, that's a different thing than like, a jam band where everyone's just like out of their minds around you. - I have not noticed, I, you know, I don't think, I've, anytime I've seen him, it doesn't seem to be like, oh my God, these guys are out of their minds. There's some early class shows from the '90s where you were like, that guy is 72% nitrogen right now. - Yeah, I couldn't imagine being solo sober there. Like, that's my point, essentially. - It's not like that. - That would be horrible. It is, I don't, I don't, look, I'm sure at some venues, it probably is depending on the age and the whole thing, and then you have like the California sober where it's like, yeah, I haven't drank in like, four years, and it's like, are you Iving liquid acid, though, right now? - I've got a hash rig, stashed by the drink shit over there, that's the congrats, man. I think it's more of a good time, fun kind of thing for Duce. So, but again, I might just, I might look like a cop now and nobody wants to tell me what's going on. - I'm actually a John Hippocrite. I, now that I'm racking my brain, I have been to a concert by myself. But it's like, it was like a specialty thing. So, this was 2014. I drove down, I was working on Mike and Mike, and I think, yeah, 2014 drove down, 'cause we got, you know, I'm done at like 10 a.m. And the Foo Fighters had like this pop up concert in New York City at Irving Plaza, and was after that whole, they had that HBO show, and they like, I think was Sonic Highways was the album. And Ray Natchee, form producer, shout-out to Ray. - Ray Natchee. - You're gonna be two fighters, guys, back in the day. Yeah, listen, Ray, he'd let me a ton of, a ton of different album CDs back in the day. He shaped some of my music tastes to this day, true story. - I still love dinosaur junior, probably. - They're enough. So, he, they did like a pop up show in New York City, and I was there early enough, it was basically like first come, first serve, and I got there, and the line was massive, like around the corner. There's only, I think there's like less than 1,000 seats of this thing, and I, and I was, yeah, I was by myself, and I ended up going on Craigslist to see if anybody was selling tickets, and I did find somebody paid like a couple hundred bucks for a ticket. Now, again, this isn't like, this was like less than 1,000 people though, in this little like thing. It was actually pretty awesome that I was there, and I ended up being like basically front row, like Dave Grohl was like, probably six feet away from me, but I don't know that it wasn't like some big arena concert venue. It was very small into me. I technically didn't know anyone there and the guy that I got in the ticket with, you know, he stood next to me, but we were like, "Buddy, I'm not texting him to this day." So technically I did go to a concert by myself. I wanted to see Take Six, Duanacapela, Christmas set, and I brought a date who didn't really like me, and then they made everybody, it was like all the men have to get up and sing these parts based on which section you are. Now again, classically train, base two. So it wasn't super hard for me, but considering the date didn't like me, and we were stoned sober, and then I got up and started singing full-throw acapella. I felt alone with that one, too. All right, let's get to. You have a singing background, right? You're a choir guy. Yeah. That's what the class would be. It was natural. Yeah. Yeah. All right. I fell. Love the show. We'd love some advice on how to handle this career, No Man's Land, that I'm in for the next nine to ten months, nine or ten months. I'm in. 28-year-old, 511-183, no crazy gym stats, but can do 15 pull-ups. That's pretty sick. It's good about I pride myself on being a realist. Yeah. That was last time you guys did a pull-up. Oh, man. There were dudes doing it when I was in New York City, I think, and I like, was that a 2 a.m. scaffolding? Yeah. Yeah. And I managed to not do it. But there were, there were still more guys that wanted to do pull-ups. I was like, "No, go right ahead." That was where we would have found out how many, and I managed to not do it that day. You think you do one right now? Maybe. Yeah. I'd like to say yes. I'd like to say yes. I think I could do one. The last time was probably, it was probably in college when those dudes bought the ones that fit into the door frame, and everyone's like, "Oh, sorry. Let's see." It was awesome. Forgetting to put the anchors in or whatever. Yeah. That's tension. They're working. Yeah. The frame is coming off. Pull-ups. If you don't do them, I'm just saying you're going to be shocked how hard it is to do one. Yeah. I know it's hard. All right. What's hard? 15 inside or what's harder? This probably, I'm counting it whichever way. Well, I can pull it off. So I don't care. I don't care what your definition is. Well, the other way. It's facing out way more bicep. And since you've been holding kids for a couple of years, it'd probably be easier for you to rip. Yeah. That's true. Okay. Player Malcolm Brogdon. We get a lot of Malcolm Brogdon's. No further commentary. Just wanted to point that out. About a year ago, I was planning on trying to become an officer in the military. It felt like a career that I could do well at while also not having to worry about getting laid off or writing proposals and stuff. You want to get in the military? Sick play, bro. Yeah. Your coach. Then I got a girlfriend a couple months later and moving away to do military things became a deal breaker for the relationship. So I decided not to pursue that route. In February, while we were together, I started a new job as a financial analyst, which was an exciting new opportunity. It was a big paid boost for me. Once I got over the honeymoon period of the new job, I realized it's just not that great of a fit for me long term. While it pays well, has a great long term career growth and get to see some cool things, the government is cooking up, sitting in a cubicle for eight to ten hours daily, quietly doing statistical analysis and making big Excel models doesn't fit an extroverted person like myself. No. Somebody needs to work under type five. Start case in that dream before it's too late. So come June, my girlfriend breaks up with me. Sorry. Still a little bum to this day. My naive plan was to keep working my job and saving money until she graduated grad school, where she would then be making lots of money, get married, then make a career change and do something I would enjoy. After she broke up with me, I found myself alone doing a job I very much just like. So I decided to pursue the military career again, but my recruiter messed something up with my application and now I would have to likely wait until June of 27 rather than March to actually start school. I've told many people about my plan to join the military, but now I'm starting to second guess this move because I will need to continue to do this job. I don't like for longer while I'm also getting some opportunities from people I know to pursue other careers that I would have joined and do well. I also had a bad knee injury in college where I still get some stiffness and pain, which I'm sorry I'm laughing. I'm just like, you know you don't want to do this, okay. All right, which always sits in the back of my mind for a career in the military. So I ask you guys from some unbiased opinion on the following. One, how much judgment would I get if I just decided not to join the military after telling many people that was my plan, citing how long I'm going to take. I did that. And knee pain history as a way out. Kyle, we are going to get to you very shortly. Don't worry. How would people actually care? What people actually care or bad and I do it isn't not weird. I think I'm going to still pursue the military route just because I think I can always make a pivot back into those other fields that I think I can do well at. I think I'm trying to rationalize quitting my job right now because I really don't like it at all. I love to hear what you guys think. Kyle, just go. This was I was 17 years old. I think it was when my dad got really upset that he found out I paid money to apply to you Albany. He's like, you're never going to fucking get in there. What are you thinking, man? He's like, that's money wasted. And so it was like around that and it didn't know. And so we're like, we're looking, we're looking at community colleges and I was just like, fuck it. I'm going to go like go to the military. And I went down to the guy took the tests. And those guys are perfect. They're like, do you qualify for literally everything? You could do this. You could do that. He's like, oh, man, that's great. I think it's called the ASMAP test. I don't know. It's just a test. It's like the, you know, just to see what if there anything you're too, they come back from the back room, just being like, you have secret agent written all over you. That's kind of what was going on there. And then so, so I did that got a little Marines keychain. I loved how much my parents didn't want me to do this. My girlfriend was so scared. I just like reveled in how much how long did you have the Marines keychain? I said, dude, I think there's a Marine sticker on my old childhood bedroom. Still that my dad used as an office now where I had to pull up our, but yeah, I just loved Marines. You better have a pull apart. Yeah, I loved, I think it was a couple months. And I just loved how much everybody didn't want me to do it. I was just like, yeah, I think that's what I'm going to do. Probably going to ship out pretty soon. You know, so I was I never followed that. But the whole thing you just did there. I want to clip of that forever. I just wanted to do that. But I loved it. My girlfriend was worried. My parents, my whole family, my grandparents, oh man, they were like, he's really going to go. And I was like, yeah, I heard, you know, the air forces for the smart dude's, but the toughest guys go to the Marines. And like, I just, I never, I never did anything like when it came to like, all right, so when do you want to like, thinking about doing this? I think I was like, oh, I got into pod stamp late and I guess I got to go do that. So, but I'm just saying, I know it's not with this guy's up to, but I, I love the telling everyone, not everyone, but I love how, how like concerned people were for me. That was sick. And he already did it. So it's not like he's being a, you know, a coward or whatever. He's just like, actually, yeah, seems like he's got a long list of doing things that he actually didn't end up liking. I think it'd be good to have an idea of something you would like to do. I like that he's trying shit. And then he turns out, like, I, this isn't acceptable for me. And he moves on. But I would try to have a good idea of the next thing you want to do before you decide it's also not cool. It kind of sounds like, um, you know, it's, you know, it's like, when you get back with your action, you're like, I kind of know this is a bad idea, but it's like, it feels safe to me. It's like the only thing I know, that's kind of what going back to, it seems like you have a lot of other interests. I want to do other stuff. And you're just like, maybe this will be the thing I could do. And like, obviously, your girlfriend left you, so you're kind of like at a crossroads here, but he hasn't listed any interests. Only things he's not interested in. He's getting fired things left and right of people. He said that, hey, have this guy's given me opportunity. Maybe I can make some money here. Like, maybe try something different. It just feels like the military thing is like, hey, I know I could do this. It's safe. I could just go back to that. It doesn't feel like you're super enthusiastic about it. I don't know. So I, I think there are other options that are, you know, then, then going back to the military with a bum knee, which is, you know, who knows? Maybe get honorably discharged and you're good to go, but I don't know what the long term plan of that is. And you said, I guess you could do it for a couple of years and then do something else, but why wouldn't you just do this something else now and get ahead of that? You know, get started different career if you want to do something different. Different schooling. I mean, if they'll pay for that, then, you know, you could do four years of that and then quit that quit. I guess not, not resign or whatever. But it appears that the only reason he's thinking about continued to pursue the military thing is to avoid heckling from his buddies. Yes. We just examine that. I don't think you should go to the military. Okay. Fair. Yeah. You're already kind of like, my knee gets a little stiffer now. And then, you know, I don't like sitting at a cubicle. So then I'm going to go ahead and do this. And I mean, look, I remember some wayward thoughts when I was younger of just like, maybe I'll do this. I even looked into it a little bit because I was like, well, you know, that might be kind of cool. And I would tell you the friends of mine that did do it in the beginning. We're like, it's not cool for a long time, right? I remember this guy joined the Navy. He was like, the whole thing was like, you see the world, you know, you're going to see the world. He's like, I was fucking working in a kitchen like, you know, on a, I can see shit. And so, um, who knows? He may have been a fuck up. He may be getting punished. I don't know. Decent chance. All those things are accurate. But, uh, I'm not like me. - Nothing I do. - I am not at all trying to deter anyone from going into the military. I'm just like, the ads look really cool. Maybe look at all this gear and we're fixing face paint and running around in the woods. Maybe I'll become a mercenary and this is awesome. And it's like, yeah. I don't think that happens for everybody, man. And you're basically telling us the only reason you wanna do it is 'cause you're bored at work and you don't want your friends to make fun of you if you don't follow through on something. Also, you already did it. - That's not a good reason. - So it's not like, you've already done it. It's not like you were afraid of what it could be in the left. You did it, you didn't like it. So yeah, I would really try to find something that you would be excited about. 'Cause yeah, like Ryan said, we've only heard, like, yeah, don't like this part of that. Don't like that part of this. Yeah. - Are the buddies, by the way, are the buddies ex-military guys too? 'Cause if they're making fun of you, like, fuck them with all the respect. - I don't think they are. - Like, you at least did it for a bit. Like, if they're like, you know, achieved military guys and that's one thing, if they're just like guys with office jobs, giving you shit about like doing something that's way harder than what they do physically, then kindly fuck off. - The best way to attack this, or in this case, not attack it, would be, when somebody calls you out and goes, yep, you're 100% right. And then they can't really give you shit about it. If they start to give you shit and they go, oh, remember when you were enjoying the military, remember when you were gonna do this and be like, yep, and I didn't, and I thought I was going to. Don't even bring up all the school thing, or oh, my knee, or whatever. Just look, I'm straight in the eye, the way a soldier would look at his sergeant and go, you're right, I changed my mind. I didn't want to go. And then it's like, damn it, you know, like the whole reason, the whole way for us to give you the business is for you to make all these excuses and say, wow, I missed my window and I was gonna have to defer and, you know, they didn't have enough. I was gonna get stationed. I was like, the wrong deployment. Like, what are you talking about? - What I did with the Latino fraternity, I was like, you know what? I just changed my mind. Didn't, wasn't, didn't want to do all that stuff. - And did the Latinos respect your directness? - Yeah, yeah, that's what we say that about the Latinos. - Yeah, that's great. - Six, three, checking in here. Wife is a bad cheer. Not much of a gym goer anymore, but keeping the handicap in the single digits. Would I trade a three, 15 bench for a single digit handicap right now? Although I can't, I can't do three, 15. If I had to do it tomorrow. - Yeah. I know it right in. 'Cause I don't have either one of those to trade, but I would, that'd be an awesome segment. Trade ideas, just that kind of stuff. - Just like stuff? - Yeah. Like, would you give up your height, Kyle, for five, 11 and abs? - Yeah, probably. - Really? You're a beast, bro. - Probably a frame. - Just a snap of a finger? - Yeah. - You probably have shoes. There's only, they only carry like five size 12s of an every shoe store, you know? - Yeah, every more time. - There's always a bunch of 10s. 10 and a half. - Alright, so Wife's a bad cheer. Six, three, two, oh five. We got the handicap in there. We've been together 10 years, had our first child a one a year ago. Might be relevant later. Both played D3 sports at the same college in New England, subsidy. But met after we played. Oh, look at that. So we never watch attended each other's games. Since then, I've gone to sporting events with friends and family. This summer, we've been going to nieces nephews or sister's kids sporting events since they're getting more serious about it. It's good excuse to see the family more often. Keep in mind, this is still middle school sports. Here's a problem. I'm now finding out that my wife is someone I would consider an annoying fan. We both usually, we're both usually quiet people. And I'm a firm believer that most fans and parents cheer should be a go team, go player, good job. A good old clap when your kid does something. Wife apparently doesn't agree. From the start of every game, she has a near constant monologue of advice and coaching that she yells out to the kids. Advice that I know they can't even hear. Yesterday, I had to walk away because it annoyed me so much. And we are smack dab in the middle of another parents. We were smack dab in the middle of parents that we don't even know. For example, seventh grade soccer game yesterday from the moment the game started, get up on her, who has back post, play aggressive, who has number X, don't let me do that in such. Coslo's in it right now. I just would know this from it. This would drive me nuts. Am I wrong? Call me the stick in the motor to party pooper. I know it's a small potatoes deal in the world, but is this what I'm in for when our daughter starts playing sports? Dude, it's gonna be 10 times worse when it's your kid. How do I politely get this to stop without hurting your feelings before? I can't sit next to my wife and my kids sporting events anymore. This is like, I'm worried about them. It kind of has to be addressed. Yeah. What do you do? Hey, you're cheering sucks? Good luck. Do you get any man ever pulled that off? You get one of the nieces in nephews to just say, to say something to her big head, I don't like it when you yell at me. You got her nip it in the butt. Yeah, I think that's awesome. That's really good. It's really good. You just give me a $50 to never spill your secret. Like, exactly. How many, how many V bucks do you need? Hey, you have to go to Aunt Jane and I'll buy you a slurpee if you say, stop yelling at me during the game. Yeah, or you just, I think you should leave. It's like, you know, it's like the waiter about the natural rule. You just go to the ref and be like, "Hey, do you think maybe, maybe in the third quarter, you could maybe just give her a quick pipe down." You know, I think the best thing to do is probably be directed not involve a third party, but I think it has to be, it has to be said somehow. It's terrible. Yeah. This is a, I mean, I have second hand embarrassment from this. Like, you know, I always, I think of like, what do I, what do I'm gonna be as like a sports parent? And I came from, like, my, both my parents didn't care about sports at all. Like, they were supportive, but like, they didn't, my dad was going to shock her. Probably couldn't even tell you how many people were supposed to be on the field at the right, at the same time. You know, he was just there for the love of his kid, which I was respected. But like, you know, growing up, you, you, you, you know, the parents that take it way too seriously, and you're always kind of like, ah, man, that must be such a bummer. So I, you know, just for the good of your own, like future kids, success and happiness, I think you got to probably have, there's a real conversation with her about it. Or like, can she channel and just have it be productive? Can you channel it? And like, hey, let's do this coaching at home. Maybe like, we'll do some, like, they're into this thing. We'll do some drills. You can get, you can start being coached there, but when you're, when we go to their games and you're not the coach, you're not coaching. Like, that's, that's just the thing, a rule we have. So, you gotta, definitely, nip it in the butt. Right? So I like that. I like that is a good way to say it, Steve. I think I will go with you the way you said that. When there's a coach, and it's not us, let's not be coached. We're not coaching. She probably may not, like, she might not even notice it. So that might be like the only chance you have, or you got to be a little playful with it, and maybe it's the ride back and really, yeah, you really into it today, huh? You know, so it's not necessarily in the moment. And then she goes, like, what are you talking about? I don't know. We all know that. That can also be a bad one, too. Like, well, what are you trying to say? Yeah, but they're all people, especially people that played. She very well could just not know, and she's losing her mind. Like, I've got a buddy like that that he doesn't, I think he almost had like a heart attack in his 20s on the sideline, because he was just losing his fucking mind. I mean, he became a coach, like, he found his, that was just, it should be to be scratched. Yeah, yeah. And he was a sick, sick athlete, all right? But like, once he was near the lines, he just kind of lost it, which made him a great athlete, but also a real tough hang if you were at a game, and it was some kind of thing. So she may, as you mentioned, you both played sports in college, she may just, but like, if you're yelling, who's got back post to a seven-year-old, that's insane. I'm 50, I don't even know what that means. I think, I'm not sure. All right, that'll do for the show today. We'll have NBA recaps. I'm gonna go on the "Sceny Show" on Tuesday, after the opening night of the NBA, so that one will be out late early Wednesday morning. I am gonna talk about college football expansion to 2014, which seems inevitable to start Wednesday show, which is so much football today, between college and Nate Tyson, that we can get to all of it, and also make sure you check out the "Silent Merch" at the "Bars Tool" merch page. There is the Framing T-shirt out now. All right, that'll do it. Thanks to Tom, Kevin, Surudi, Kyle, Ryan Russell, show, all episodes on Netflix, "Bars to Sports." - Cheers.
