Quarter-Season Awards: Power Ranking the Best and Worst Fantasy Draft Picks, 'MNF' Recap, and the World's Biggest Imagine Dragons Fan

The episode delivers a comprehensive power ranking of fantasy football performance through four weeks, highlighting transformative shifts in team dynamics and player performance. The Atlanta Falcons’ offensive resurgence is a central theme, with their run-heavy attack led by Kenneth Walker and Brian Robinson, overturning early-season predictions of a terrible performance. Walker is named fantasy MVP for his elite fantasy production and breakout impact, while Sequan Barkley is labeled the "fantasy murderer" due to his inconsistent performance and injury history. A major surprise is the "tight end renaissance," where healthy and effective tight ends are now consistently scoring, altering fantasy strategy. Bryce Young’s emergence as a top quarterback, leading the league in passing and showing exceptional game management, is celebrated as a fantasy success story. Conversely, Justin Herbert is criticized for his poor performance despite high draft status, making him the worst quarterback in the rankings. Other notable mentions include Zay Flowers, who scores one point per route, and CD Lamb, whose value was long overlooked. The episode also emphasizes player perception shifts, such as the rise of young talent and the fall of high-draft picks. Ultimately, the analysis underscores how fantasy football outcomes are shaped by injury, coaching, and team chemistry, with the Falcons’ transformation serving as a key lesson in the unpredictability and volatility of the season.

I'm today's episode of the Ring or Fantasy football show. We are power ranking the best and worst players in fantasy football through the first four weeks of the season. We have fantasy chords, kind of. It's 18 weeks. We're after week four. It's fine. Quarter season awards. Craig and I get really mad about Drake May or Herbert. Do you get to get really mad about who's in first place in the Ring or Fantasy League? And I don't think you two got mad at each other. And we find out about the world's biggest Imagine Dragons fan and it's not Danny Heizitz. All that and more after the commercial. This episode is presented by Verizon. Let me tell you all about Verizon's new simplicity plan. You get one plan, one price, just $30 a line per month, even for a single line. So while everyone is running four trade analyzers before offering a backup tight end, Verizon said one plan, one price. And the simplest move is the best one, like the simplicity plan. Head to Verizon.com today. For new customers who switched to Verizon, $30 per line includes auto pay and switch discount. Taxes, fees and terms apply. Welcome to the Ring or Fantasy football show. My name is Danny Heifitz today. I'm joined by Danny Kelly and Fred Coral. I get today at his power hour, where every power, every Wednesday, we power rank something. And this Wednesday, it is quarter season clarity. We're power ranking, basically the best and worst players of fantasy football. Through four weeks, all the picks we love and players we regret and everything in between and people who have just completely and utterly embarrassed themselves. But first, want to get to Monday Night Football and a couple of pieces of news. First of all, the Falcons absolutely walloped the States on Monday Night Football. The Falcons 145 to 24, Beigeon Robinson comes out and has 20 fantasy points in the first quarter. 80 yards and two touchdowns in the first quarter finishes with 145. And then Brian Robinson has three touchdowns then the game. So be Robinson at five touchdowns in this game combined between Beigeon and Brian. TK, do you think the Saints defense sucks? Or do you think the Falcons with Michael Pentax are actually just like elite? I mean, I think both things can be kind of true. I think the Saints defense is not good. And I do think that ever since Pentax got back, the Falcons offensive has been really clicking. He hasn't like put up big numbers, Pentax hasn't, but it just makes everything kind of work together. Their run game has been incredible. They rushed for 205 yards in this game. Aversion was six yards per carry. Brian Robinson went in there for all the people that accidentally drafted him thinking he was Beigeon Robinson and gave him a little extra out there. He actually ended up three touchdowns, which is crazy. But yeah, I think the Falcons offense just looks really good right now. They're kicking ass in the run game and, you know, it just gives me, it's really exciting for the rest of the year because we kind of thought they were dead after two weeks. We just thought this offense was horrific. And now it looks like it can really put up numbers. Yeah, I think what's nice is that Pentax doesn't seem to be under duress a whole lot. I think he's been sacked once in his two games as a starter. They played Green Bay in New Orleans. But look, when Pentax was in college and was clean in the pocket and was healthy at Washington, he looked good. And Pentax rips the ball. He throws it deep. He only had 15 completions in this game, but it was for like 200 plus yards. He had like four throws over 20 plus yards. Pentax with pits, who had all 50 yards in this game, Kyle Pits worth pointing out. And with Drake, Len and Beigeon Robinson, like when he has the pieces around him, Pentax is kind of a nice fit for the situation. I'm happy for him. I find myself rooting for Michael Pentax. I want him to be good. And so this is a cool story. 15 to 20 for 223 yards in a touchdown. He is kind of a ironically turning into a bit of a game manager because when we came in, we were like, oh, gunslinger. He's going to push the ball down the field, whatever. But I remember this being a big thing in his college scouting report was he just doesn't take sacks. That's just not as he is decisive, knows where to go with the football and gets rid of it quickly. And that was like what we saw this week. Also his numbers would have been bigger if he would have been able to float the ball just slightly over. I can't remember who it was, Kim Jordan or someone, they had Beigeon for like a walk-in touchdown down the sideline and he just didn't float the ball high enough. So that was, you know, it could have been even better night for his numbers. But yeah, the Falcons offense is just looking really good right now. It's also just worth pointing out that like everything is easy when you can run the ball. Like when you have a guy like Beigeon or Jamir Gibbs or something like that who just are automatic 150 yards in two touchdowns, everything gets easier. Look what's going on with the chiefs this year. And Beigeon looks like the best running back in the league. Maybe I guess it's in his Kenneth Walker right now. I every time Beigeon touches the ball, I really do wonder if he's the best running back I've seen other than Adrian Peterson. I know that's irresponsible and I know like obviously his whole career is ahead of him. But on a touch per touch basis, I really do wonder if Beigeon's the best running back I've ever seen. I guess out of fairness, like I should put Derek Henry there just because Derek Henry is just what he does is so amazing. But realistically, Derek Henry's biggest issues are I don't really trust it. It's kind of like LeBron at the free throw line, where I was just going to say that. You can't get one yard when I need you the most. And also Derek Henry is not a great pass catcher. And it's like obviously Derek Henry is like a one-of-one player and one of those fun players to watch. But Beigeon's like the most complete running back I see I would only put Adrian Peterson above him. And even Adrian Peterson's kind of mythologized in my mind. I am blown away by how good Beigeon is. And I watch him, I really wonder what it was like to watch Walter Payton. And I don't want to compare anyone to Jim Brown, but I look at Walter Payton. And really, I kind of wonder about like Barry Sanders. Because I'm just young enough that I don't really remember Barry Sanders at his prime. But I, every time Beigeon touches the football, it is like magic. Craig? Yeah, Craig you alluded to, but he just looks like he's jogging out there. Like that first touchdown, it was like he's just jogging. And then all of a sudden he runs past everyone on the defensive, he was going like 22 miles an hour. It's like he's on those things at the airport, that push forward, he just walks a little faster than everybody else. Yeah. But everything about him, because he has speed to power, Nate Tyson, the other day, he's the word grace, which I loved, but also just unbelievable receiver. He can do every, and also again, way better blocker than Gibbs is too. And so he's just a complete player and he's so young, I just can't believe how much better he is than everyone on the field. I mean, overall, the Falcons turn on stunning. I mean, what days, we're recording this Tuesday afternoon 24 hours ago, I almost had a muscle memory from the first two weeks. I kind of just said, the NFC South was just a race between the Saints and the Panthers. And a bunch of Falcons fans were mad at me. I'm like, yeah, they'll probably lose, but I didn't football and I want, but to think that where the Falcons are, the first two weeks of the season, Josh Kendall at the Athletic had the stat. The first two weeks of the season, the Falcons had the worst EPA per play of any team in the true media database, which is 26 years old, literally the first worst R2 season of any team, because that was like, yeah, you know, like that was the Jack Strand Cooper rush experience. Look how far we've come in only four weeks. Well, that's it. Eat a man's jack strand. Literally. But the last two, the Falcons went from the worst R2 season ever by all advanced metrics to the last two weeks, the Falcons have the most points in the entire NFL. Yeah. In the last two weeks. It's an unexpected points added per play to 80 points in the last two weeks. Uh, yeah. This has been incredible. They boat race. The freaking Saints, which I love this rivalry too, because they just eat each other. It goes back. Well, however long it's just awesome to see how much they ate each other and they just did this. Yeah. Totally. And they did it in New Orleans. I mean, this is a huge win for them. Um, yeah, I, I don't know what else to say other than like I'm super excited. I remember we talked about offenses that could make a huge jump this year based on new coaches, new offensive play callers, new quarterbacks, we kind of looked at a lot of variables. I threw the Falcons out there. And then after two weeks, I was like, my God, that looks like a terrible, terrible like prediction or whatever. And now I'm like, okay, this is back on if PennEx can stay healthy, this team can actually put up points. Um, I saw a stat somewhere that, uh, I don't have it in front of me, but it was basically like in, in 75 or 80% of, uh, PennExist starts the team. The implied total of the Vegas implied total, they've gone over on that. So he is, he is out producing what Vegas is like expecting of them. He just, I think he makes things work really well. He's, he's being a good game manager really. They haven't beat good teams. You know, they beat the depleted packers and throwson of football and then the saints. But I will say I, the first new football game, Amazon had this really good visualization of the surgery. Michael PennEx had because he got it done by Ella Trash. He's done Kobe and done Otani. And I don't know if he had turned it on to George kid. I mean, all that he's like V surgery, V surgeon, like the new James Andrews for football basically. And Ella Trash basically used a cutting edge surgery because Michael PennEx had had so many ACL tears. I didn't realize what they do. They graft your patellar tendon and make it your new ACL. And because PennEx had had two ACLs, they were out of, they were out of patellar tendons to graft. So you had to find a, another source to be PennEx's new ACL. And I'm watching this. And I'm like, what the fuck were we doing? Right? Be ja on second. You know what I mean? That was like 12 days ago. Yeah. And then I'm watching this Falcons game. And obviously who knows what happens with PennEx staying healthy, but I, I'm so impressed with him. And Kevin Stephanski to your point, DK, the coaching and Tommy Reese, the offensive coordinator Bill Hallehan's, the offensive line coach, we talk about coaching, coach, a coach again. Then you see it and you're like, okay, the Falcons offense line is playing really well. The actual play calling is fantastic with Tommy Reese. And there's a lot of similarities between the Falcons. of Panthers this week where the Panthers are playing a shitty defense, but dominate them and look great. And the Falcons are playing a shitty defense. But all you can ask for is to dominate them and look great and knife through butter and that is what they're doing. So it's cool to see. They were in control the whole game and I think the big thing to me that when you think about the Falcons, they have an identity, you know, there's a lot of teams in the NFL where like I don't really know exactly what they're trying to do on offense. They don't have like one thing that they're really good at. And I feel like now we know the Falcons can really run the hell out of the ball. I have two good backs. I think Brian Robinson, even though a lot of it was maybe sort of garbage time he towards the end of the game, he still looked really good to me. He was running really hard, breaking tackles, North South. He's a tough physical runner as well. He's very different than Bijan, but they have two good, two good backs and this is the type of identity I feel like I expected Stofanski to bring where they're just efficient and physical and tough and run the football and establish that, you know, establish that control over the game. It was a reminder why Stofanski was surprisingly put on that coach. Two time coach in a year. Two time coach. Yeah. And Brandon Staley, Josh Norse pointed out that Troy Akman said, he doesn't give a shit anymore. Trey Akman does that. That Brandon Staley had no answers for the Falcons offense. The Trey Akman said that I feel like he knew that when he talked to us a few days ago. He basically told us that in the meeting yesterday that they were screwed. Man. That's so fun. So I have no solution for the Atlanta Falcons. It's tough. That's it. That's brutal. I think Bijan could be the historic going forward. I can't tell you he's the best player to watch in football right now with Josh Allen. There's a mini, there's, I have a mini tattoo that I'm kind of, I'm outlining, I'm sketching it to potentially paste it on printed onto my body, which is that based on my body, which is that like, you should just take the two best running backs in the league like that. The people who are at the top of the draft, like you should, you just take them. Like you don't get too wrapped up in like how much, how much it costs in an auction draft. Oh, it's actually savvier to have the 8th pick in the draft. No, it's like usually the two best guys in the league, you just take them. Yeah, yeah. That's true. The other thing I wanted to hit, a couple of pieces in news. So Eagles right tackle Lane Johnson just posted, we're recording this Tuesday afternoon that Lane Johnson is retiring mid season. So Lane Johnson. So he in 2021, he took a leave of absence for a few games for mental health. Obviously, not sure what's going on with Lane Johnson, but anything, you know, it's serious. It's personal. I'm sure things will, you know, come out. I'm sure he doesn't take it lightly to retire in the team in the middle of the season. So who knows what's going on in someone's personal life. Obviously, wish him all the best. I will say for the Eagles, because they have to play this week. The Eagles offensive line between that. And again, we just don't have the Falken's offensive line and Bill Callahan, the coaching there was great. The Eagles offensive line already lost Jeff Stoutland. We talked about that a lot in the season that Jeff Stoutland didn't really retire. Just kind of took a year off because he basically doesn't like Nick Seriani. And the Eagles offensive line now, not only doesn't have Jeff Stoutland as coaching it, but it's now Jordan, my lot at left tackle. And then you already have Kim Jurgen's the center moved over to guard because they had to put Landon Dickerson injured reserve. But now Kim Jurgen's also has a concussion. So now the Eagles offensive line is Jordan Milotta. Willie Lampkin might be the left guard for the Eagles this week who I honestly don't know much about. But it seems that he would be one of the smallest players to play guard in the NFL in like modern football. He's 5'11"290. He listed at 5'11". Listed at that. It seems like he's a small Drew Kendall is the Eagle Center and then you have Tyler Steen who's been there for a minute. And then Lane Johnson would be replaced by Mark L Bell who, again, the Eagles are always prepared with like the biggest offensive lineman in the world. It's the smallest and the biggest. Mark L Bell 6'9", 346 pounds. And he's kind of in a red shirt here, right? There's no way that can work. You can't have a 6'9" guy in a 5'11" guy on the line next to each other. Like average together, they're like median size, you know what I mean? Dude, the Eagles, so the Eagles are playing Jacksonville this week. They are going to have one of the worst offensive line situations. Both their top two running backs are out. Tank, Bigs, Bee, and Sequon. You know what I'm saying? Smith might not play. Dallas Goddard's out. This is like maybe the most good crosser in the NFL. So now it's like them and Miami this week in terms of skill talent. You know, it's funny. It's like you look at what the Eagles are dealing with and then you look at what the 49ers are dealing with. You know, it's kind of like the essence of quarterbacking is what can you do when everything's going wrong? And Brock Purdy, I think it's probably been the MVP if I had a vote for the first four weeks of the season because you're like, look what he's doing with all these issues. He's a grubber. He's just whatever tools you give him, he'll make hell defuse the bomb. Yeah. I think that's McGuiver. I think that's McGuiver's favorite. Well, yeah, but for our generation, it's just McGuiver. What he's going to do an upper decker or something or what? That is what the Eagles offense is. I do that all the time. I always call McGuiver McGuiver because to, I never watched McGuiver barely know what it is. I watched the guy from where I grew up on TV land, Nick at night. I love to McGuiver grow. I got this great. Well, Forte doing McGuiver is amazing. McGuiver is sick. I, I, I, I, yeah, no, I, I, did you see the new version of McGuiver? They did with Will Forte last year where McGuiver is in the Epstein files. And so he keeps trying to die. He keeps blowing up. Oh, shoot. Well from that, the Eagles are fucked. The other news I wanted to hate you guys with is the referees that were really mean to the players got suspended. And so Adrian Hale, who was the guy who got a bump in the Vikings got suspended for one game. And then the referee who screamed at Tramack Bride, fuck you, was suspended two games. But the real story here is the referee who screamed at Tramack Bride. His name, Jeff Seaman, S, E, E, M, A, N, come again. Jeff Seaman. Okay. I can't believe we haven't heard of this guy before. First of all, and second of all, I got, I, I shared that on Twitter and so many people responded with the Austin Powers thing where it's like Johnson. You can see, oh my God, you can see his Johnson. What is that? It's like, then it goes to his Willie, Willie, who is that up there? Also the Eagles, we should say one more thing are doing the thing that the Rams did in London this week where they're going at the last second to play. So we'll see how that works. What could go wrong? Well, I mean, they studied it and they feel like this is the best for our team. We've looked into this. The Rams did that a lot of it. You could convince me for the six hours, a lot of it was 16. Yeah. Well, it's five hours, right? The Philly, the London? Well, I don't know the gel, I'm just meant the flight, the flight being a six hour flight for 16. And it's a five hour time difference. So I'm saying, right? Oh, yeah, yeah. I think you're, yeah, that sounds right. It's quite different. It's definitely not Australia. It's just kind of funny to read. Like he literally said, like, we studied this and looked into it, which is just like the same exacting the Rams said, but it's a very different situation. We said one guy. We've also studied it. Yeah, yeah. We said the guy that wanted it. Oh my God. Okay. We're going to power our, again, we're doing, again, from Seaman to Quarter Season Clarity. The things we've learned in four weeks. And we want to go through and we want to give out, you know, best worst players in each position, MVP, other shit that we made up, and we're going to do this power our style. So every two minutes, we're going to play a sound. But the sound we're playing, we're still in the market for its song. We can't use Tom Tom. We don't know what we're going to do. We've experimented with a rolled intro. We have the random music we played last week. Craig wants to do the gong this week from trivia, which it is. A calming sound. I like the gong. Quite like a gong. Very little poison. I like the gong. It's the best part of my off. You don't want to overuse a gong though, you know? No. Yeah, that's fair. But. Let's say it goes. But I'm, I'm dubious. Can't play the gong. It is. It is. It is. It is a great stuff. Maybe you can't overuse a gong. I don't know. Gongs. Let's test the limit. Anyone ever tried? Yeah. Let's try right now. Let's really try. So we're going to go through. Do we want to put out the, the, the, no, if people want to give us ideas for power hour sounds. Yeah. Email us. The thing is. Can't be me. Craig, you have to explain the rules here because it can't be like music. No, it can't be anything famous. Basically royalty free. It can't be something that Mariah Carey did. We love fantasy by Mariah Carey. Can't do that. It has to be a sound effect, something royalty free, something very old that is now able to be licensed for free. Anything like that. You could make it yourself and send it to us. Be sick. Crucially, you need to be able to hear it a hundred times and still like it, which is the hardest of all. That is the hardest. That is. A lot of people want it to be like me, cracking my voice. And I'm like, you'll get sick of that, I promise. Yeah. So we'll try the gong today for our 12 categories. We have a bunch of awards like MVP, murder, best pick at each position. Players whose perception has changed. Week four. This is good. I'm already looking back or kind of licking our wounds. This is the time to do it. We've been giving trade advice. Now it's time to see if your season is already screwed or not by doing awards. So with that said, can two minutes on the clock starting with number one, fantasy MVP, a quarter of the way into the season. This is Ken Walker for the juice, right? Yeah, I mean, to me, it would come down to three players. Jumeer Gibbs, B. John Robinson or Kenneth Walker. And you could get Kenneth Walker far later. Well, not far later, but later than first or second. Other, if you didn't have the first or second pick, you couldn't get. Right. Jumeer Gibbs or B. John Robinson. Everyone could have had Kenneth Walker. Yeah, it feels like to me, Kenneth Walker is kind of, he's one of the, if not the story of the season so far. I mean, he's transformed the chief's offense the way that they operate creating explosive plays. [BLANK_AUDIO] this last game with two big runs late in the season or late in the game. He's breaking a million tackles. He's scoring a million points. Uh, he's averaging 26 points per game just shy of Jumir Gibbs for number one in, uh, running backs group. So he's just been awesome. Here's the reason to me why Kenneth Walker is the clear MVP, even if he has like one less point than Jumir Gibbs. You, you quite literally couldn't take anybody ahead of Jumir Gibbs or B. Jean Robinson. Here are the people you most likely took ahead of Ken Walker literally right before him. Safe one, Barkley, Devon H. Ann, O'Marion, Hampton and Justin Jefferson. Those are the four names right before Kenneth Walker went. If you look at like average draft position, all of which are just unmitigated disasters. And then the guy right after it is, is the best running back in the NFL. So it has to be him, I think. The, and again, Ken Walker's three different games this season with more yards and scrimmage than he did with any game with the Seattle Siox, including the Super Bowl, where he won Super Bowl MVP. His running style, I, I still think, especially this season, it reminds me of when I, have you ever seen that video of the pro soccer play? There's three pro soccer players trying to score a goal on 100 youth soccer players. Like it's like, it's like 105 year olds, right? Three pros. And they're trying to score a goal. Like all these people trying to tackle Ken Walker, it looks so silly when people are trying to bring them down. And he's like running around and like, do we, like, like, just, it looks like he's not constrained by the rules of the running back story. He's like, I'll just go to the other side of the field. I don't know why. It's so abrupt. It's shut the fuck up. I kind of like it actually. It's like you're trying to talk to somebody and then the gong is just like, shut the fuck up. It'll probably work for the time. All right. Next, oh, man, next award, fantasy murderer of the season. Yeah. Who's killing your fantasy season? I have, I think, yeah, I'm gonna say, I think this is a worthwhile debate. And I'm back and forth on it. And I think I'm landing with you guys on this ultimately. I wanted to say Hampton, Marian Hampton, because he's not hurt. And he's just bad, really. And the charger's offense is really bad. And you had to take him either in the late first or early second ish. I think it was like 15th overall on 80 p fine at the end of the year or at the end of the off season. And he's now just basically in a 36% time share with Keaton Mitchell and then come on, even if it all is in there, their offense is terrible. There's no, there's no signs it's going to get better. They have a terrible schedule coming up. However, I, when I thought about it more, because I was like, I don't want to say, Sequan Barkley is the worst because he's just been hurt. But the problem is you're still playing him. That's the, and then he gets hurt. You've played it for like four weeks. Right. So that to me is what puts Sequan Barkley over the top. It sucks. Sequan Barkley is awesome. He's such a fun player. It's not a conversation. Sequan is half the points of a Marian Hampton. He literally is half the points. So I landed with you guys. It's definitely Barkley. The most excruciating part of this is that we don't know if a Marian Hampton is good. I know that Sequan's good. He looked good in week three. He had like 80 yards on 10 rushes. And I was like, this guy looks awesome. But he's left the first quarter and two of the four games this year, which absolutely murdered you. The other two games when he played full games, he had eight points in each of those. So he's let, he's yet to get you 10 points in a game. And what, go ahead. Well, I just, to DK's point, I get it. He's hurt. But like, if you get murdered, you're still dead. It's like, I'm going to enter to from all the games that Sequan left. If you want to call out fantasy second degree murder or manslaughter, sure. But like, we're being slaughtered because of Sequan Barkley. I did. He has fewer points that Devon H in or towards ACL two weeks ago. Man. Wow. And it's not probably not going to get much better. He's out for a few weeks here. There are offensive liners and is now a complete overhaul. You know, they don't have their guru offensive line coach. You know what the Craig might be cooking with the gun. The gun's work. I didn't wash over you. Ollie Gordon has more fantasy points than Sequan. He'd be the third highest score and running back up the dolphins. Oh, go through the first round of fantasy drafts. Jameer Gibbs, Beeson Robinson, Jamar Chase, Puka, McCaffrey, Jonathan Taylor, JSA and a Monroe St. Brown James Cook, all of those hits C.V. Lam hit Sequan. Yeah. It's Sequan. It sucks to because having Sequan Barkley in your lineup, like it sounds so good. And it should be like having two cocks, you know, it should be so powerful. And now it's like having a micro penis. Right. It's been tough. The most pleasant surprise after four weeks. Correct. Interesting one. Yeah. This could be anything. I think it's got to be the Bryce Young Teterone Macmillan combo. I think we got we got glimpses of Bryce Young last year. And I think him kind of blossoming even more Macmillan taking another leap his second year. And this offense being really, really competent. I will say at the least, you could argue it's a good offense, but they've played some weak defenses. But Bryce Young is the QB3. Macmillan is the wide receiver seven. Bryce Young leads the league in passing. Year three under canals is working. They have big splashy Sunday night football game where or Collins worth was Bryce Young. Oh, this guy's got a great command of the offense. I'm just really enjoying watching him play football, Mike. So regardless of the schedule, I think it may have to be the most part of the surprise. I think that's a very good one. And maybe the most obvious one. To me, I kind of looked at this like, what was the thing that we were talking about the most in the preseason compared to what's happening now? And it was the fucking 49ers substation, killing off everyone slowly and just picking people off one by one during, you know, August. And to me, it's been a very pleasant supplies surprise. That so far, the substation has spared us the most important players on the 49ers. Brock Perdey is playing at an MVP level for fantasy and for the real NFL. CMC is still doing it, even though he kind of started slow. Mike Evans, he's playing. He's banged up, but he's playing. Yep. He scored points. He scored touchdowns. Kittle has been incredible. Debo has been awesome. So I just like, it's been a very nice little pleasant surprise is the 49ers at least through a month or still relatively healthy. Mine, I just kind of thought it was the tight ends, not a wasteland. Like that's a great one. Yeah. Just pick a year, two years ago, there was after, like, um, this part, this four on the season, a month into the season, one tight end was averaging 10 points per game. And this year, there's eight. Yeah. The tight end renaissance is here. This is like the new offensive packaging. I feel like that has completely changed this, this whole situation. So now we got to decide on which one wins here, because I totally agree with the tight end thing too, because it's like, it's been fascinating. You can actually use them in your flex model. The tight end one is pretty good. Maybe I want to give it to that because that is always just the worst part of fantasy. It's like whatever tight end I pick is going to score seven points a game. And in fact, there's a lot of fun, good young tight ends that are delivering is fun. And the offenses are changing with more 13 personnel, more two tight end sets. Yeah, all the personal packages are, yeah, yeah. All right, tight ends at its next category here. We have players whose perception has changed the most in four weeks, complimentary. Basically, who stock is up the most? I think this is where Bryce Young really lands hard. We quite literally colluded to force hyphids to draft Bryce Young in the draft. We are all laughing about it. We are all cracking up. We're like suck on that. All right. So we're going to take 27 quarter back and hope that the remaining five won't be good. And what's even being a dick about it has Bryce Young. Bill just said, "Hyphids isn't taking a quarterback. Why haven't you done that?" And I was like, "I'll be fine." And everyone's like, "Fuck him! Fuck that guy!" He said, "He'll be fine." And you took a quarterback. Fuck him. Fuck him. You know what, thank you. Bryce, how's the third best quarterback? We saddled you with Bryce Young. What a degradation. And then now he's the quarterback three on the year. We haven't talked enough about how, I feel like DK really loved that colluding part of that. It was fun. I mean, it was fun. You were having a blast. You were just happy other people were angry. So bringing the year to year, he was just loving it. It was fun. I'm not going to lie. I'm not going to try and change your mind, Craig. I had a great time doing that. It's fun to cheat when you're on the winning side. Like when you're on the team. I didn't start it. I just jumped on the band like it was. Yeah, this is how corruption works. People are like, "I hate corruption unless I get some of that." But it worked out perfectly. And it's so the perfect distillation of fantasy. A hundred percent accurate is we really wanted high fits to take Bryce Young and he is absolutely killing it right now. As I said, quarterback three, Craig said it. He's leading the NFL in passing yards. He's third in touchdowns. He looks incredible. I was going back and reading my scouting report on him from when he was coming out of the draft. And I'm like, he's playing exactly like people thought he or could do in the NFL, which is just uncanny feel. I put uncanny feel for all the pieces on the board. Natural playmaker, extraordinary talent, keeping plays live out of structure. Ability to read defense and consistently know where to go to football. Ability to detect the middle of the field. Yeah, he's just been, it took him a while. It's been a circuitous route. But he looks like the reason that he looks like the guy that they wanted to take number one overall. I think the other honorable mentions quickly. I think he ought to mention Michael Penix. Unfortunately, you probably have to mention to Sean Watson. And then I just want to throw out the Raiders franchise. Oh, yeah. Well, that's a good one. Kirk cousins. I did not expect Kirk to be doing what he's doing. Cole leads the NFL in touchdown passes. Yeah. Just like the Raiders has like a laughing stock for the last however many years, being like a legitimate team that feels like they have definitely turned it around and have one of the brighter futures of any team that used to be bad. Yeah. The Raiders in Vegas. Now it feels like the first real season of the Raiders in Vegas. There are long stretches watching the Raiders where I forget that Mendoza's on the bench. And they'll cut him a commercial like, wow, like they are absolutely like this is a perfect spot to drop him into. It's really like ripping it. He's ripping passes. It's a good point. He's the he's taking over for Baker as the guy just. rips it. I don't know. I don't, of course, rip in passes. Well, maybe it's all relative. They're relative to what he was doing last year. How about that? He's, he's, he's throwing passes. His arm is not completely dead. And that's what makes passes. Yeah. The Ringer Fantasy football shows brought to you by Fandall. This is players whose perception has changed the most in four weeks derogatory. You're from hell. Yeah. Who wants to think this one off? Somehow like the, you know, you look at like the Texans are Owen for and the Baker is Owen for the bucks. And they're not even in consideration here. This is like Drake, Meg, Justin Herbert, see man race. Well, may save himself a little bit. And now I think you could talk yourself into a bad three weeks, played some tough teams. That was it. Probably got to be Justin Herbert. There's nothing redeeming to say about the charges in Herbert. The only, like, we hate them. The only, we hate them. The only reason I would quibble with this is that Herbert already had a lot of haters. But we got to hand to the haters. The haters were absolutely right on this one. Uh, you know, that mean like to me, it's like Drake, May was sort of the promised one. You know, second and MVP voting last year went to took his team to Super Bowl and come to come out and be as bad as he's been. He was the QB3 in ADP this year and to come out and be this bad. He's averaging like 11 points. He's, he's below replacement level at quarterback in terms of fantasy in real life. Still, I think up maybe one of the, either tie it or one of the worst guys in turn over so far. Um, so I would still say even though Drake may, I think he's going to be okay. The perception over the first three weeks was this guy's broken. I don't do anything. The year from hell is a funny category because of one hand, it should be the charges because every level of it is just an absolute disaster. But we all, but who's surprised about this? But Bill made a good point though that the Patriots year from hell argument is literally every single level people have had a tough year. Drake, May is basically still in the Super Bowl spins like he just is never left. Vrayble had a tough year. Bob Kraft got embroiled in a lot of stuff over the last six weeks. Like literally every conceivable element of what's going on in New England. It's kind of been a disaster, but they beat the bills. So I feel like they can't. Right. Yeah. Is there anybody else? Yeah. Two and two. Is there any chance it's Jalen herds? The gong's like, nope. I mean, like has the bigger drop since winning the Super Bowl MVP two years ago? I mean, if you want to draw the line from the Super Bowl winning it, no, they're definitely not, but like I don't think anything has changed with Jalen herds. I think it's actually what we thought. I think the ultimate answer here is Justin Herbert. It is. Yeah. Of course it is. It has to be. This was a people could still fight and say that like pound from pound this might. This is a top five quarterback in the NFL. Nobody said clear. Herbert's playing really bad right now. I'm not actually out on Justin Herbert as an NFL quarterback and I still think he could succeed in the playoffs and all these things. I'm not he's right now. He's playing terribly. We also just two prompts to go talked about Bryce Young playing well in the NFL and Bryce Young was one of the five worst rookie quarterbacks that had actually expectations. He only got back into the panther starting lineup because Andy Dalton got in a car accident. Yeah. So giving up on the young quarterbacks is stupid. So I'm not actually out on Herbert, but right now it's he's he's he's playing the worst football he's played since like I don't know ever. Next one player who is going to haunt us. There's no wrong answers here for me to say flowers because I feel like I kept like making fun of say flowers for being unable to get in the end zone and then never targeting him and the Declan Doyle the office coordinator has decided that Zay flowers will be the best player ever on a prayer out run basis. Zay flowers ranks ninth and fantasy points among receivers to the ninth best receiver. He's 98th and rounds rounds run. Yeah. He's just he's like barely played and it's it's the best flower receiver in the league. Zay flowers literally has a point per route. It's literally one point. He has one fantasy point every time he's ran a route. That is he is like just wide open in the middle of the field every time he catches the ball just 20 yards down the field in the middle of the field and there's just no one around him. He's like I don't know which direction to go because I'm so open. Yeah. Every game with Zay flowers is like the Tettaro and McMillan Panthers game where you're like they're out of people to catch the ball. Why is this guy open every time? I think he's a good one for this show because we were all collectively like I got his score touchdowns like we've seen this. Fuck that guy. Yeah, we're not buying the Declan Doyle thing like can Zay flowers is Zay flowers and it turns out he's not. Yeah, he's the early the early favorite as the player we harped on needlessly in the beginning of the in the preseason that ended up being the most important play you you would draft. I think Zay flowers is probably the right answer. I also wrote down CD Lamb. It feels like we kind of overlooked him in the preseason talking about him as you know because what he did last year on a high ankle sprain he was the number two receiver on the team. George Pickens was awesome. He just didn't look like himself and then you kind of look a little deeper like oh he never really had he only had one elite season. I just remember having him there in a lot of drafts and looking elsewhere if that makes sense. I just for whatever reason I didn't want to have CD Lamb in my teams and now that I think about it it feels so stupid because he's awesome and he has been incredible. He's averaging 23 points per game. These are league winning type numbers. He's just behind JSN and points for game. 32% Targaryen. He's always been a really strong target earner. Dak is freaking falling. They are the rainbow strip team. Their defense is terrible and therefore they're going to be in a bunch of shootout type games that score a lot of points and run a lot of plays. So I'm afraid that I missed the CD Lamb train when he could have been had at a little bit of a discount coming into this season. So that one will haunt me. The other one is Jonathan Brooks like paying any attention to him and completely overlooking chew a hover chew would be the one that's kind of haunting me right now. Mine's probably just Ken Walker and taking I'm not being just like Patrick Mahomes has a good running back now. It kind of is as simple as that and I overlooked it a little bit I would say I'm bummed because I took Chase Brown over him in the ringer league. Yeah. Next category here is the best quarterback pick of the year. I want to shout out Craig who basically looked at the Kyle Shannon car accident and all the substation stuff that said fuck this Brock Perty's good every year. Not only is Brock Perty good every year he's the best he's ever played is right now. Brock Perty is the number two quarterback in fantasy on the year. I think he's the real life MVP hasn't been sacked. Been fantastic. Craig do a victory lap. He's just fucking good and we have to admit it. Brock Perty is legitimately a great quarterback. He's a perfect fit with Shannon. He has full command of his offense. He feels right now I think like the most comfortable quarterback in the league which is remarkable considering what is going on around him at all times. He is like the meme of the little guy sitting in the room that's on fire and he's just fine and he's he's figuring it out every single week and 25 fantasy points a game. Second league. That's a lot. I mean the only people playing better than per not better but like on I think the top tier of quarterback play right now is Patrick Mahomes Josh Allen and Brock Perty and I don't really think it's close. I think I've I almost put Perty as my player whose impression has changed the most of him but that was just personal because I thought he was the ugliest quarterback in the NFL and then I drafted him and that one like dude this guy's hot. Look how he dances. He's getting me 25 points a game. I fucking I love this guy. I mean we didn't talk about that throw he had where he was out of bounds but like he basically did the air Jordan jump man like oh right. Yeah. Yeah. It's one of those where I get it if you're an Irish fan you're like if Patrick Mahomes did this everyone would just fucking. Caleb Williams doesn't everybody throw it down Brock Perty does have a big deal. No one gives a shit. What's the opposite of an amp? It was amazing. Like a moment where you're like dude this guy he's got it. What do you think? What do you think that's called? What's the opposite of an ik? It's an ooo. The ooo. No. The bite the bite your lip moment. What's that moan from the soundtrack we did last week? Oh yeah. Yeah. We can't play that play the old drop. Yeah. I made that noise when he did the jump pass. Yeah that first moan that secret moan. Worst quarterback pick of the year? Pretty obvious. It is my dear friend. And while it's Angela Justin Herbert but we don't need to we don't need to do that. No I think it's Drake May. No it's not. What are you talking about? It is. So far it might be made. Because the number one quarterback last year last week. But no one played him. So that's that's more annoying. I played him last week. I can literally look it up here. Last week on Yahoo. 35% of people play Drake May. That means sixty that means two thirds of people who drafted Drake May probably is the third quarterback then benched him for his only good week. Which means you got three. But May had nine eight and three points. Then most people literally most people benched him and then he went off on their bench. I think that's when they took them probably three rounds ahead of Herbert. I call I call on Craig. Counter. If you played Drake May last week you won. And if you and if you benched him and used a different starter you might have also had a good game. You started Herbert every single week and you lost every week. I think you just started Herbert every week and you're mad at him. But if you took Herbert you might have taken him in the eighth round. Drake May was probably like a fourth round pick and he's been worse. And he's his fewer points. - I don't know. I don't think it can be Drake May. He was the number one quarterback in the league in week four, and you feel pretty good about him right now. How do you feel about Justin Herbert? - I feel bad, but again, you took Herbert-- - If the answer is who was the worst pick, who would you rather have on your team right now? Drake May or Justin Herbert? - I mean, probably May going forward, but it's probably-- - Probably, what are you talking about? - Sure, fine, Drake May. - Okay, but relative to where you took them, the answer is, but Tyler Shucks atop, there's so many quarterbacks. I think that if you look around, like, I mean, Drake May, sorry, Herbert last week was started in 26% of leagues. So like people weren't, are people already moved on? There's other quarterbacks, but if you look at the people, you could have probably could have had Christian Watson. You could have had like all these other players around Drake May that you took instead of, and so people are cutting him or benching him. I'm like, they were really, really, really good players around Drake May. - I disagree, you can decide. (laughing) - Zayflowers, that's an example, Zayflowers. You probably could have had instead of Drake May. - Unfortunately, I'm looking, so look, maybe that's true with Typhus just said about Zayflowers. I'm looking at some of the guys taking around Drake May. According to this is just half-white PBR ADP. This is a fucking terrible list. Amecha Buka, Bucky Irving, Quinchon Juckins, David Montgomery, DJ Boer, Tyler Warren, Drake May, Luther Burton, Jadari, Jadari and Price, Terry McClure, and Basial Tutton is a good pick. Devonte Adams is a good pick. Jameson Williams, Travion Henderson. That is the guys sandwiched right around Drake May, and they're all terrible, except for maybe, you could say Basial Tutton is a good pick. Tyler Warren has been fine. - Who are the guys around Herbert? - That's a great question. Let's just pull that up. We got, I'll just read it down. Mike Evans, Harold Fanon, LaPorta, Caleb Williams, Rico, Dowdall, Calpis, Tony Pauler, Herbert, Harrison, Cardinal Tate, Prescott, Metcalf, I mean, they're both kind of, they're both kind of bad, but I don't know. I think the way that Craig framed it, where it's like, who would you rather have on your team right now? I would rather have Drake May on my team right now, even though he was horrific the first few weeks. - Yeah, sure, I'm just, I'm just, it's funny to me because Drake May, like, he has fewer, like this, he, he, they have to save a lot of points. - Yeah. And again, most people didn't even play Drake May last week. Drake May, as of a week ago, was the 32nd best quarterback in fantasy was last, then most people benched him. And he was more expensive. - The less people played Herbert, you said. - Yeah, but he was more expensive. - I guess, I mean, what was Herbert 8th off the board? May was like 4th. - 3rd. - Whatever, right around there, both top 10 picks at quarterback in May going forward. There is a reasonable shot that Drake May is a top three fantasy quarterback for the rest of the season. Herbert is fucking cook, it's over. - All right. - Well, it's not rest of the season awards. It's quarter season clarity. Like Drake May was the 32nd best quarterback after three weeks, you're probably fucking pissed. - You got Herbert, you got Herbert about two rounds later, likely ish. - To me, the clarity is that, wow, I missed on Herbert, I'll never start him again. And Drake May, you're like, he had about three weeks and now he might be Drake Mayh. - Okay. This is the hardest you guys have ever fought. - So DK, who are you? - That's not true. I am picking based on that rubric, which I just said is, I think Herbert was a worst pick because he's not useful anymore ever. He won't be, and I think May will end up being a better investment overall. But, I mean, obviously it's like, if you look at just points scored, Herbert has scored slightly more points, I think than May, or maybe not actually, who has scored more points total? - Drake Mayh has literally three more points. - Drake Mayh has scored a few more points. So I don't know. I think Herbert, just because you can't play him anymore, you have to find something else. - Running back pick of the year, I think it's Ken Walker, so we're just gonna do non-Ken Walker edition 'cause Ken Walker is the MVP, so this is like the VMAs, we're doing, you can't win both awards. So the non-Ken Walker running back pick of the year, I kind of feel like it's Chubah Hubbard. - Yeah. - Thanks. - I look at Chubah Hubbard. Chubah Hubbard is just quietly a top 10 running back. Chubah Hubbard is more fitness points this year than Christian and Caffrey, Ash and Gentie and James Cook, who were both like, all like obviously top 15 picks. And Chubah is the perfect mix of invisible boring, veteran does all the little things. Panther's offense is good. And Chubah's just there. I am biased against him. He had a hamstring injury in August, which somehow convinced everyone that Jonathan Brooks would be healthy and Chubah Hubbard wouldn't, which was insane and actually my biggest regret of August is not calling bullshit on the Jonathan Brooks thing. And yeah, Chubah, just literally outdoing James Cook in Christian and Caffrey. - Yeah, he's been awesome. - Kind of amazing. - Do you feel like it's sticky? Do you think it's going to continue? I guess is the question I would ask. Because I agree with you. I think he's been one of the best values in fantasy period. I mean, he was going after Marshawn Lloyd. I'm looking at the ADP. He went after Jonathan Brooks, Brian Thomas, Marshawn Lloyd, Chris Godwin, Brian. - It's crazy. - It's 33rd at the running back position. - And to be clear about running back in fantasy right now. - Part of this, 'cause Chubah Hubbard had a hamstring injury right around when drafts were happening and it's kind of hard to know the severity of the injury. Having said that, yeah, I kind of do think it'll continue. I don't know if it'll be better than Christian and Caffrey, the rest of the way, but he'll be roughly this good because he's the starter and the part, Jonathan Brooks had like fucking nine carries in three years. And I don't know why we respected that Jonathan Brooks would actually contribute. He's on injured reserve. Chubah's going to be the guy. He's really good. - The hamstring thing definitely threw us off the scent. The preseason tattoo of mine, the good solid running backs on good teams thing, like the Javante Williams of Dallas last year, which Javante Williams, by the way, is having another good season. Chubah's kind of liked that with the Panthers right now. We did that episode in the summer about who's the next, who's the cults of this year. We did not mention Carolina. We have like six teams. Carolina was not one of them. And it seems like with McMillan, Bryce, and Chubah, that's what we're getting. - I think you're right. - Ooh, what timing. - Well timed. I was also going to throw out Kyron, who's been awesome. - And the worst pick obviously is the same one. - Has to be. - Yeah. Best receiver pick of the year. - This one's I think trickier. I think there's a lot of options here. - Yeah. You go a lot of different directions. We already mentioned Zay flowers as the guy who's going to haunt us. I think you could argue is going to end up being one of the top receiver picks of the year. I'm throwing out Nico Collins just because he looks like the terminator in the Texans offense. He's like the way that he, what he brings is pretty crazy to their offense. But he's also missed, he missed at least one game. How many games did he miss? - I was gonna say, I tell you don't have him because Nico Collins. - No, I have him, but it's one of those things where it's like, when he's in, he's scoring 20 points of games. When he's out of a game, you put someone else in your lineup so that it doesn't hurt quite as much. - But not the same one where he leaves in the first quarter and then you're screwed the rest of the game, yeah. - It's probably Zay flowers. - I would say, well, I would question. I think it has to be Christian Watson because he went later than Zay flowers. By probably at least around maybe three rounds and he has more points than Zay flowers. I Christian Watson's been amazing. He's not five receiver. - Top five receiver. And like everything we said, the rare scenario where like everything we said about, if you look at his numbers when he's actually on the field a lot, the packers had too many wide receivers and now it's more concentrated. And Christian Watson came back and looked super good after the ACL and blah, blah, blah. All of that came true at the Packers of Table. But in the passing game, specifically like, he is as advertised. Like everything we said, he is delivering on and more. - I could make the case for Jackson Smith and Jigba 'cause even though he was a first round pick, Jason had so many more points than every other receiver not named him on a simple round. Like, Jason, through three weeks, I think had, I mean, Jason had a hundred points basically through three weeks or whatever. He had 30 more points than the next guy and 40 more than everyone else that you probably, if you had Jason, or very likely started 3 and 0 solely 'cause you had him, which battle alone is pretty valuable. It's probably still Christian Watson, but Jason, you know, - Jason then had a slow week and CD went off. So now they're kind of close. But yeah, the only other name I'd like to shout out is DeBos Amul, who. - Oh yeah. - He did okay, you were all over that. - He's the 11th wide receiver in fantasy right now. DeBos Amul, who was like written off as like washed and it was over and it was, how many times would he even touch the ball game? Wide receiver 11 right now. People pre-weight, he barely drafted. - Yeah, he was like the wide receiver 51, I think. - Yeah. - In ADP. - In terms of the turn on investment, it's probably him. - But meanwhile, worst receiver pick of the year, this is a loaded category. This is a loaded category. You could have a Mecca Buka, who was doing nothing with Baker and then a Buka dislocated, or sorry, Baker dislocated his thumb. So now you're stuck with Jalen Daniels a quarterback. You could have Lad Bakonky, who is on the chargers and her, just an abomination. AG Brown got hurt immediately. But I kind of feel like the answer is Justin Jefferson. Again. - This is back-to-back years with Justin Jefferson that it's been really, really grim. There were many, Justin Jefferson and CD Lammer were neck and neck and drafts this year. And many people, I'm sure, took Justin Jefferson over him. And you talked about post-draft clarity. You look back now and you're like, "Kyler Murray, "Kyler Murray throwing to Justin Jefferson "versus Dak Prescott in CD Lam on the Cowboys, "the most proven connection in the NFL, "probably between quarter-minutes and- - I wish we had listened to ourselves and just did the thing we have to say the names of the quarterbacks each time. And it's, he plays well with Wenz. Every time Carson Wenz plays, it's better. Obviously, the Bears Vikings game is raining, but Jefferson, it's like a great week one that it's seven-four, then he's hurt with an ankle injury, Kyler, I just, the Jefferson thing is tough when you took him again, probably over Ken Walker, probably over CD Lam, like it's just annoying. I will say though, a book is really disappointing because we had such high hopes. And then the Buccaneers, Owen Four, and then Baker going out is just like, man. - I think it's gotta be a booker. - I think, lad, to me, it's between last and second, which he's been really frustrating and a buka but to me it's like a buka just there's not really as big of an excuse lab had a broken rib or whatever. It's like he got knocked out of a game. A buka just has not been very good. He's right now he someone named Cody White has outscored Amika Buka. He's sandwiched between Rashad Bateman and Mac Holland. Those guys you could just pick up on the waiver wire. He could make the case that a buka is actually a good bilow because he was fine in week one five catches sixty three yards. Then there was the Cleveland game with the basically tropical rainstorm or whatever that just over and that game was delayed hours. And he almost got a touchdown in that game. Then it was the Vikings. The Vikings defense is just great. And now it's Jalen Daniels. So you can make the case if Baker comes back. A buka is a good value. I don't disagree with that. But yeah, it's probably lad. That's tight end pick of the year. George has to be George Kittle. Yeah. Hi Fitz, you were on this. I admit defeat on that. I was super skeptical. And George Kittle looks amazing and has been awesome. And it's been great to see. But I I stayed as far away as I could. I know he was like affordable. And that's probably why it made sense to take a a dart throw on him. But I didn't even do that. And he's been he's been fantastic. He is the number two tight end fantasy. I just I yeah, there's just some players you kind of have a blind spot with. And Kittle was one of them because I just even though there was evidence and or at least reports that he was doing really well is rehab. And they're eyeing you have actually having him go to Australia and all that stuff. I kind of just didn't believe them. I mean the 49ers have not been super forthcoming with injury stuff in the past. So, but I just basically kind of overlooked Kittle and did not believe them because he had an Achilles injury in the playoffs. And he's now back. Yeah, it's crazy how quickly he's come back from this and he looks awesome. He looks explosive. He's doing everything that he did he normally does. And I think a big part of the reason I thought I'm just going to avoid it is a big part of his game is run after the catch. Be a beast after you know, break tackles and run guys over and stiff arm him and whatever. And I just overlooked him. And I yeah, he's been an awesome value for people. His rehab went really well. And they've come a ways with the Killy stuff. But it's not like everybody who does that. Yeah, his rehab went really well. Neil Elatrash, man. Maybe he's the pick for surgeon of the year. I would say yes. George Kittle's the number one tight end in fantasy. This year so far through four weeks. Yeah, I was wrong. He's number 200 points per game. But he's one overall in terms of total because Brock Barras only played two games. Right. And Chauhan Johnson's third, which I want to shout out. Chauhan Johnson's been great. He's been great. I mean, Travis Kelsey's been quietly pretty good. It's been a lot of guys. On the flip side, obvious Colson, Loveland, Morse pick. Loveland's a disaster. Loveland. That's been, he's also probably a great by-low because I feel like Caleb Williams is going to come back soon. So Colson, Loveland has 14 points this year. That's a good player I would trade for. He was, he was like a third or fourth round pick or something like that. He was, he was taken very early. Yeah, correct. That's why Drake May is the worst quarterback. You could have had Colson, Loveland, instead of Drake May. True. Wow. Yeah. Totally. So the last one here, I like this category. This is the the new household name inductee. And who is a player that was not a household name? Who is? Does that good one? It's Ken Walker. It's Ken Walker eligible because part of it thinks it's Ken Walker, but it's a Super Bowl MVP. That's the thing. No, he's not eligible. Oh, I guess when you say household name, does this mean like my mom now knows who this person is? Like what do we define this as? Yeah. I think it literally, I mean, it's called household name. Is it like a commercial people know who it is? Hmm. Commercial is a good line. I think basically like, Ken Walker could be in a commercial now. I don't think Tenerola Macmillan could maybe buy it into the season. But if you go like a layer deeper and it's like people who casually like the NFL, it might be Macmillan as like the next wide receiver. I just think doing what he did on Monday Night Football is huge. For someone's awareness of who this player is, it's it's massive. Yeah. So that would be why I vote for Macmillan. Oh, son of football, but I knew what you mean. Oh, son of football, sorry. But yeah, it's like prime time. Yeah. Yeah. I mean, is there any other candidates here? It's Bryce Young, not Tenerola Macmillan, right? But I'm like, Bryce Young was the first person to wrap. He went to Alabama. I feel like he was already known. His perception is interesting. What is household name? Yeah. I mean, maybe this Tenerola Macmillan. What about Tyler Schuck? Michael Pennex? I don't know. Schuck has been good. I don't know if he's done. One thing I wanted to throw in is what about a coach? What about Ben Johnson? What about Clint Kubiak? Ben Johnson is probably the right answer for looking at the season of who's a household name. Now it's Ben Johnson, the coach of the Bears. I feel like that is a guy certainly by the end of the season. How many coaches do you think are really household names? That's a great question. I feel like Kyle Shanahan and Andy Reed. Yeah. You know, is Mike Vrable maybe? Yeah, certainly. Mike McDonald, Dan Campbell. Mike McDonald, Dan Campbell, yep. And then I think it's the Harbors. Sean Payton, the Harbors. Yeah, so that's nine. That feels about right. That's nine of the 32. Yeah, and then it's like Ben Johnson is probably the next coach that people are now like this is like a new legend. This is actually a famous coach now. Like Liam Cohen, I don't think is famous yet despite their, despite their great. I think, I mean, yeah, is Mike McCarthy an household name? I think Mike Tommy, obviously, but Mike McCarthy just been there a lot while, but I don't know. The La Flores, I get, I still confuse their names. So maybe they're not. Yeah, I don't think so. Kevin O'Connell, no. Yeah, like Kellen Moore's not, you know, uh, Shanahan is. So what do we want to do? Do we want Ben Johnson, Tyler Shuck, Technic Millen? I don't think it's Teta Robick Millen. Ben Johnson's a good one, but that's not a player. I guess we can just, we can make an exception. It's a new household name inductive as the title of the. Maybe it's the answer is probably Tyler Shuck. Yeah. That one doesn't move me. I don't think you know why people like, there's something about the literal name part, where it's like people have to learn to say that Tyler show S H O U G H, people you're learning to say it is kind of like man. All right. Yeah. All right, Johnson and Tyler Shuck. Can I give you a tell a shock or maybe player is shot coaches Ben Johnson. Yeah, there you go. Okay. Uh, any of the flex categories, what do you give out in memoriam? Is it like a little time capsule quarter season into the season? I, I want to ask you guys one quick question. Is this like, do you have any like brief or early mini tattoo? Like, what's the lesson you've learned? It's four weeks in. Listen to the fucking tattoos because we don't. If you actually look back at the things we wrote down, unbelievably, pressure, it would have been really helpful. Here's the deal. I forget them. All right. Like, like, if we listen to the tattoos, the tattoos are things like don't take players like Kyle pits and Jalen Waddle, the tattoos are things like really just take great players. Like the tattoos would have led us to Ken Walker over fucking Omerian Hampton and the tattoos would have led us to CD Lam over Justin Jefferson and it's over indexing a quarterback and it just all the mistakes I look back are because I didn't listen to the actual tattoos that we wrote down. Yeah. I think the, the, the, there is a really, I think you've, I have, it's you've brought this up many times, but it is a real thing where you tell, say out loud the quarterback and coach situation of a team to yourself before you pick a player. I will be driving Justin Jefferson who is quarterback to my Kyler Murray. You have to say it. Yes, you have to say it. With the 11th overall pick, I'll be taking Tyler Murray's top target Justin Jefferson. Like it, because you would have said sentences like I'll take Kyle pits with with Kevin Stefansky and who's the quarterback for Atlanta? And then it would have been George Kittle with Kyle Shannon and Brock Pertie. Like, huh, it just over and over again, like it kind of saves you. What's the lesson though for the Panthers and like, what's the lesson for Sequan? I guess should we have seen that the eagle lot is headed in the wrong direction and the style and trust your eyes. The Panthers outplayed the Rams in the playoffs. Didn't they almost beat the Rams in the regular season? They did beat the Rams in the regular season. And then the Panthers over the Panthers really should have won that game against the Rams. We kind of just hand waved that. Yeah, we just think more of the Panthers. We know where the Panthers make it. The playoffs were like, oh, well, not every team makes it back. So someone else will win the division. Is there a Justin Herbert lesson? What's the Chargers lesson? I don't think there is one. I think the Chargers lesson is never believe in the Chargers. Okay, but yes, that is no, no, I'm serious. He's right. The Chargers, the real lesson or good weather like Jersey. That's the problem. Yes. No, the Chargers are cursed. I think he's right. The Chargers actually, I don't believe in curses in any other category, but unless it's the Chargers. They're the Clippers at the NFL. I will say this too. The other thing is, uh, I you're right about that. The other tattoo that we literally discussed and didn't fucking follow through on was we literally discussed that there's, you know, 19 new play callers. And you can spend all this time trying to figure out which ones are good or not. And you should just not even bother and just focus on the teams that you definitely think are really good play callers because they're with the same system getting better and you know they're good instead of the crapshoot. And we kind of did that except we just decided Mike, but Daniel would be great. And in reality, if you had focused on Chicago and Jacksonville, you probably would have ended up in a good spot. You might have gotten trapped with New England and Josh McDaniels and May and AJ Brown. But, but you know, so it's not perfect. But if you had ended up with a lot of Parker Washington and a lot, you know, they mean a lot of the Jaguars and the Bears. You probably I'd probably be doing pretty good. But then again, burden and love that have sucked. I know. Well, burden has been sucked. One of my tattoos is like the second your play collar, like don't get discouraged after like a mediocre year one. And I do want to double down on stuff like that, like Canalis in year three, Cohen in year two. I mean, what Kubiak's done in year one is very impressive. But it'd been Johnson in year two. I do think that stuff is really important. And continuity, perhaps, is the thing that I want. Like Bryce Young actually understanding the offense is so important compared to Justin Herbert, who looks like he studied for the wrong test every Sunday. Yeah. The number one thing is you have to trust your eyes. Like you just have to trust your eyes. It's amazing how many times like the like I feel like the players we were obsessed with less than like Parker Washington, like the guys you're talking about, like I don't know. There's something there about not being afraid to miss the boat on certain guys that people are all obsessed with, because I feel like a lot of times I'll just get. I will get talked into players that I don't actually believe in. The waddle thing is like a perfect example. Like I talked myself into that, even though I in deep down, I'm like, how is this going to be any different with Sean Payton at coach? I traded Waddle away today. Yeah. Good. Freeing, right? I feel like Nicole Kibbett after she divorced Tom Cruise. Just light. Free is a bird. Yeah. I'm going to go have a beer at noon. That's how I feel. I just traded. I don't know. Well, I'm telling you, he's going to go off Brian's hurt. Waddle is going to be awesome the rest of the year. Mark my words. Yeah. But you won't miss it. No. It somehow doesn't make you, it doesn't make you laugh. The only thing worse than keeping Waddle and he's terrible is trading him away. And he's like a top five wide receiver. Him just torturing me from, from, from the grave. Speaking of which ringer fantasy football league, where I have Jalen Waddle somehow. Yeah. Oh, yeah. How we doing in that league? DK, we're in first and second, baby. You didn't know that. Oh, yeah. I forgot to check. You're in too many ways. Yeah. I'm still in first place. I like how high fives claims we're in first place. I'm in first place. We're both three and one again. Once again, I'm actually in first place in high fives. Ball second. You're tied for first place. Yes. But I've probably points to you. Right. That's how this works. If you look at the standings, I've been first place. There's a one next to my name. There's a two next to hyphensis name. That means I'm tied for third. That's, that's a great example. Bangkok Craig is out here to the trenches. Bangkok Craig is two and two. As is the third place team. There's also two and two. So I'm in third. I have to say this was a straight face. He actually believes that there are two teams with three and one. I'm, I agree with hyphensis. If it's hyphensis in first and I'm in third. Are you going to say stands in tenth place? You would just say that with no context. Vans two and two. The same record is Craig. But because he has less points, you would just say, yeah. Vans in tenth and wouldn't add anything to it. I liked it. Have you always believed this or what is what's happened here? Sean is Sean what he's two and two and he's in third and Vans two and two. And he's in tenth. That's, but that doesn't make any sense. There's, there are points in this league. You score points. Yeah, it's a tie breaker. Oh my lord. I'm not saying you're wrong. I'm just saying, yeah, we're tied for first. Yeah. We are not. I scored more points. If you had scored the same amount of points as me, we'd be tied for first. But we are tied because you need to use the tie breaker, which implies there was a tie. And the tie is broken. I'm in first. Okay, sure. You are insane. This is the weirdest to kill to die on. I'm not dying on anything. Just say I'm in first. No, say I was trying to. You're in first. Am I in first? Yes. Okay. Listen to him. You're locked in here with this stupidest. Did you lose the election in 2024? The votes were counted in such a way that determined that Joe Biden is the president right now. I was confirmed by the Senate. And therefore, yeah, yeah, Joe Biden was confirmed by the Senate in 2020. So you lost. Joe Biden was confirmed by the Senate in 2020. Oh my God. So I have it. You are in what place? I'm in second because it gives 18 more points than me. Next week, you might be in first. We'll see. He also has 28 more points than you. Not 18. Oh. No, I was just doing some quick math, but yeah, you're right. Oh, my God. Thank God Craig. Wait. Is that all? Is that all we're going to say about it then? I didn't expect to get there. Yeah, I beat Chris Ryan this week. You're a CR had a good run. This is. You you you. You had the bad combo of having Drake May who played great, but then still losing to Bill. So Bill got a good Patriots win and still beat you even though you had Drake May. This is a league of parity right now because we have two teams are three and one. Then we have two teams are one and three and the rest are two and two. Mallory's team sucks. Mal won this league last year. She's in last place. She has Herbert. She has a book. Well, everybody got hurt too. I think. Mal took players. She wants to watch, which is ironically the number one feedback we've given. I've given at least. And Mal's team of players. She likes to watch her Herbert. Ebuca. She I think she's already had a cut a bunch. Should be Brock Bar was missed the first couple of weeks. She's got. I mean, JSN, but somehow still one and three. Jeremiah love. Just everyone's just absolutely failing her. She's had to come cannot a month feel to give you an idea of how bad her team is. She's got the team literally has the mumps. She has the mumps. She should change her name to the fucking mumps. She shared her team literally has the mumps. We got to give it to Bill. Bill was started out. Oh, and two is not he's the only guy in a winning streak. He's the only team we want to express in a row. He's in fifth now. Yeah. Bill has scratched and clawed back. It was. I mean. Is he tied for third really? I mean, there are there are eight teams tied for third. I mean, I just see two three four five six seven. Three four five six seven and eight. I don't know what you're talking about. DK, you're not wrong. And I get what you're saying. But I guess I've never crippled anyone. We're like, hey, yeah, tied for first. I'm like, yeah. DK. I'm just looking at the standards. DK, unequivocally in first place. There's there's a one next to my name. Yes. And there's a two next to yours. Okay. Which would indicate to me first and second. I do. And Christ of Craig's in knife. Yes. I obviously am in ninth. I'm not. I'm not claiming I'm in third. This is extremely funny. Let's we should do a fantasy court about who's in first place if they have the same record. Who's instead of who's on first and who's in first and first. Me, you. That's really funny. Who's in first. This episode is brought to you by Zippercruder. We all want to save time. Sometimes when I want to save time, I have to microwave stuff even though DK doesn't. Meet your match on Zippercruder. Okay, let's get to fantasy court. You definitely don't tell anyone about this thing that you're doing. I don't really want to be handcuffed. The definition of an object is a material thing that can be seen and touched. First of all, I do love that fucking intro every time. It really hits. I want to start fantasy court with just a note on trade vetoes because it's that time of year. We say this every year, but we just have a lot of emails that are like, "Someone traded Nico Collins and Chuba Hubbard for trademark chase and Trevor Lawrence." I don't know if you guys have changed your mind, but I just want to reiterate, because I think we have a lot of new listeners that just need to reiterate. I think vetoing trades is the lamest thing ever. Like when Michael Parsons gets traded from Dallas to Green Bay, the NFL doesn't let the bears or the Eagles vote on whether the trade should go through. And the idea of when people pretend that they're not just jealous that they didn't get the trade, or like actively mad because they're competing against the teams, and it's like all of these questions for the most part come down to the same thing, which is, "Well, if I was running his team, I wouldn't have done that." And I'm like, "Well, that's not you or team. You of your own team, you get to run. Focus on that one." I agree. Unless it's collusion or something. Unless something the fairies is going on, it's a trade. You text both sides and say, "Do you agree to this trade?" They say, "Yes, you approve it." That's freedom. And some people like, "But it's dumb." It's like, "Well, yeah, freedom needs people to get to do dumb shit." Anyway, fantasy court case here on the docket. This one's from Jeff. - Jeff. - Jabon. - Breakfast today's. - Jabon. - It's Jay. It's a J-Jeff. - Jabon. Breakfast today was steak and eggs at home. - Stunned. I liked that he put it at home. He's like, "I didn't buy steak and eggs at home." - He's like, "I'm not going out to do this. I'm fucking cooking my own steaks." If you're going out on a Tuesday morning to order steak and eggs at a restaurant, that's fucking unbelievable. Going out for breakfast just done on a work day? Elite. Yeah. I kind of always wish I could do that. I love diners. I mean, if I had a diner across the street for me, maybe I would do that. Like Craig, American gangster with Denzel or is just like in the diner. That's like setting up. That's like where he runs his operations. - Yeah. That's where we should run our podcast. - That's how Bangkok, Craig got his name, American gangster. - Yeah. Well, yeah. - Who's that? It's American gangster. - He just Craig would like the vibes in Bangkok. - It just shoots it yourself on the street. - It seemed electric in Bangkok. (laughing) - It's going on. So Jeff writes, what are your views on the auto sub feature? It is causing a heated debate in our fantasy league 'cause we have a few new dads this year in the league and they wanna turn the auto sub feature on so they don't have to worry about it. And also for those who don't know, sleeper, I don't know if Yahoo's quite doing this as much, but sleeper, which is now a pretty popular platform, has this thing where you can designate a player to play in this slot. Like if Mike Evans is questionable at, you know, the late slate, you can just be like, if Mike Evans is out, this guy will go into my lineup and you can have a setting where one, that is possible if the game's happened, you also can have a setting where if the guy had played earlier in the day, you get that guy's points. You can have both. So there's a lot going on here. - Oh, that's. - So that's the thing. So Jeff writes there are, we have three members in the league who have had kids this year and they wanna turn on auto sub because they don't wanna have to worry about injuries on their squad when they can't shift their lineups in time. But the commissioner, who is single, says that it's a lack of dedication on the league member's parts. - You actually said it. - Phone alerts for NFL insiders on Twitter, set alarms for their lineups to which people told him that if you ever found a woman, you'd understand that there are other things in life besides fantasy football, to which the commissioner said, "No, there's not." And this debate has been going on all season. But the London game this weekend-- - Sure, sex is good, but have you ever had a good fantasy team? - You've watched Johan Dotson. I got you touched down. - I love it. - He thought, "Okay, Adam's put him 200 on a Monday night." (laughs) - So Jeff writes, "The funny thing to me now is a neutral observer to debate. Is there isn't a specific player they're arguing about that they wanna auto sub for it? They're just pissed that the commissioner is not allowing them to do it, which would be a huge quality of life change for them." So I ask you, is there an official stance on auto sub for life? - Oh man, this is tough, 'cause I've actually never played in a league where they have this. So I don't have experience doing it. Do any of your leaks have the allow the auto sub? - One this year started it. - Yeah, in my high school league, we just switched to sleeper this year, and it hasn't been like, we haven't discussed it. Like I actually, I don't know the answers to that question. - I feel like this started, the idea started with COVID, because what would happen is I think you had a lot of players that would start test for COVID. - Right, they would get weird times. So that year it started being in group chat, which is kind of an honor code where if some player is like 15 minutes for the game out, they're like, you can designate it. And then I think that's what started the feature. I have one league now where we're doing it, and I was kind of like, okay, and I tried it, and I'm like, yeah, I get it, and I don't know. I think, I don't have a huge problem with anything. - Yeah, I don't have like a philosophical or moral problem with it. My impression, or I guess first thought on it is that it kind of takes away some of the point of doing this, I guess, is choosing and setting your lineups, but I also can definitely relate to people who have young children who are just, their hours, your hours are different, man. Like you just cannot pay attention to that stuff quite as much. I think it should be a league to league thing that they decide before the season. - That's the part that it tricks me though, is that it's the people with children versus like, single people dynamic where the single guys like, fuck you and the dads are like, it's okay, I'll just kill you, work with. - All right. But I generally, as long as you're, I guess you are making the thing that kind of hangs me up is that you can have someone go into your lineup after he's already played. - So that is the thing, it depends. There's two levels to it. 'Cause sometimes you can set it where the player has to have, the player has to still be unlocked at the time. So if it was a Monday night football game, you have to get someone else in the game. That one I think you just decide league by league. I kind of, I don't mind it. And I think the key though is that you have to pick the player because I think that is the essence of fantasy is living and dying with the choices you make. And I'm not, I don't think it's crazy that like of Mike Evans is out at like the game that's like 425 Eastern that you can have a different player 425 and you're like, I'm gonna be doing something then. I'm like, I think that's fine. - Yeah, look, it's old school to be like, no, sorry, you gotta check right before the game starts and see who's healthy and that's how it goes. 'Cause I would say we allow, let's say you're away over the weekend and you're gonna have no internet. You would then allow like a friend of yours to check your lineup and then tell the commissioner, hey, Mike Evans isn't playing on behalf of Craig, can we swap into Vaile, Craig has to do that. Like that would be okay. And this is just kind of like the digital version of doing that. So I think it's kind of, I think it's fine. I do respect the single jaded commission though. - Yeah. - I respect that. - Yeah. - The league should find the commissioner partner. Maybe that's the rule. Everybody should get together, you know? - Mm-hmm. - Then you can play and say. - Speed dating. - Yeah. - Okay, this one's from Calvin. - Calvin, great name. Seabone. Breakfast, black coffee, cup of Greek yogurt, and a microwave tortilla filled with peanut butter. - Mm-hmm, that interesting. I will say, I like a, I like a case idea. Microwaving is horrific. - That's where you draw the line. What I was thinking of. - I've tried it. No, 'cause I didn't have a kitchen for like six months when we were renovating the house. And it microwaving a case idea is disgusting. - It makes it, it's like rubbery. - I used to just like throw cheese in a tortilla, wrap it up like an enchilada, and then just nuket, and then eat it, and eat it. - I just don't, I just, I think it's really gross, but whatever. That's fine. - But Calvin, we hate your breakfast. - I mean Greek yogurt's great, black coffee. - It's a mix of things that you don't expect to go. - It's the peanut butter. I mean, what, we haven't discussed that it's peanut butter. - That's true. - Yeah. - That's the, I've never heard of a tortilla in peanut butter. - If you had to do this the first try, how long would you microwave it for? Like microwave the peanut, but 10 seconds? Keep it 30. - I know 'cause it's so oily. It probably like separates and gets weird. - Yeah. - That's tricky. - Generally I try to avoid microwaving. As, I think as I've gotten older, I'm like microwaving stuff just makes it taste bad. Do you guys have that? - Not really. - Some microwave stuff. Like if I have the choice, I'll heat it up on the stove. 100% of the time. It becomes like a question of like how much time do you have? How many dishes do you have? - Sure. - I agree. - I, I'm microwave stuff. - I do too. - I mean, I'm not like above microwaving. I just think it. - I mean, it sounds like you are. - No, no, I'm just saying I just usually taste worse. - Yeah. I mean, I agree. Like if you, if you have to microwave a slice of pizza versus like putting it in the oven to heat it up, it's very different. - Yeah, it gets all crispy. - I would just eat a cold piece of pizza at that point. - Well, you know what? The reason DK you're into microwave is you don't have to deal with lunch 'cause you just make a case of D every day. - That does solve a lot of problems in my life. So yeah. - Anyway, Calvin's email. - Yeah, yeah, I got it. I need some help with the ruling. Heading into this week, my team is 0 and 3, but I'm a big vibes guy. I decided my team needed a coaching change. So I let my league know that I was appointing my dog as my fantasy football team's new head coach. - Nice. - And that I would have- - Like taking the ping pong table out. And, you know, we're all business now. - Exactly. So Calvin writes, "Lad Maconkey starts this week "and my lineup gets me a big fat zero." We are in a zero point shotgun league. - So yeah, I like to shotgun a beer. So I send it my video shotgun in the beer. - Can I ask you a question? Did he get this from us? I would like to know, Calvin. Or is, 'cause I was like the league that I do. - Anyway, what if this is your son and a league and you don't even know it? - Yeah. - It could be. - Continue. - So the league responds and says, he doesn't have to shotgun. The dog has to shotgun. (laughing) - Oh, that's good. - Because the shotguns go to the manager of the team, that coach and he announced formally in the chat that the dog was now the head coach of the team. - Oh my God. - And so- - They have a point. Calvin's question. - Okay. - Do I kill my dog for this picture? Because of my family feeling. - It's a nine-pound chihuahua. - Okay. - Which really, I mean- - Just get like a little baby drink or whatever. - I, the dog, I mean, I feel like if the dog's the coach, dog has to do something. - Get him a pupachino. Make him a shotgun, a pupachino. - What a dog, the dog's version of a shotgun. That's very interesting. - I mean, yeah, it's funny because dogs just swallow everything whole anyway. It's like they don't chew. - This is a good one. - Wow. - What is the dog version of shotgunting a beer is a fascinating, perhaps an unanswerable, a truly unanswerable question. - You know what I'm saying? - What if it's a dog? - Is there, is there like a dog version of catnip? Something that makes dogs go crazy. - Peanut butter. - Peanut butter, I don't know. - Catnip's just drugs for cat. - Right. That's kind of like, yeah. - I know, 'cause you don't wanna like make, you don't wanna like give the, make the dog eat two pancakes 'cause you're like, well, then that's not healthy in the dog's day. - Just looking at what happens if a dog drinks beer. Oh, nope, they can't. No, the dogs can't have beer. - Yeah, it's terrible. - No, that's a little guy. - Yeah, no, okay. - Pancreatitis or some shit, yeah. - Okay, so the dog cannot have a beer, it turns out. - Right. - I don't know, we don't have an answer to this. - We'll have to figure this out. - This is an amazing question. - Yeah, we will come back to you. - Yeah. - Maybe do some research. - The court needs to do it, so. - Give us some ideas. - Yeah, email us. - Throw this out to the jurors or whatever. - Okay. - I have a couple of more emails here. No more fairness to court, but I got a couple of emails we gotta hit. - First of all, actually I'll start when, I'll start here with one about, from Conner. - Conner. - C-bone. - Conheads, conheads are loving this. Conner writes, "I loved your guys' conversation about grizzly bears." So we were told that there's the job posting for a grizzly bear conference manager. Conner writes, "I wanted to let you guys know about the most notorious bear in Canada." Hmm. Do tell. There is a bear named The Boss. Love him already. The boss is estimated to be born in 1997, so he's 29 years old. The boss weighs 700 pounds, has been hit by a train more than once, and survived both times. My God. The boss is estimated to be the father of 50% and perhaps as high as 70% of the grizzly bear population in the Banff area. Absolutely. Just a stud out there. And boss is known for hunting and killing smaller bears. Wow. There's a bear hunter. Yeah, he's like eliminating the competition. Is that it? Oh, that is it. I thought that was enough. He's a well-trained bear. There's a well-trained bear. It's a bear. Yeah. The well-trained bear is a hunting kill. Um. Holy shit. Amazing. The boss. The boss. He's been hit by multiple trains. That was the thing. You should see the other guy running the train, speaking of a train. Did he hate the train? Is he recognizable? Like if a family is on a hike and they look and see a bear, do you know if it's the boss himself? He's got like the scar from the train, you know? You've got one eye. Yeah. You've got one eye. How did he get hit by a train twice? Those things sneak up on you. You know? Sometimes squirrels run in front of the car as soon as you're getting near it. Yeah. But maybe he wants to take on the train as it to test his strength, you know? He's like, I can beat any living thing. It's 364 more days till next year's mating season. I got to toughen up. Yeah. His person is dying. That's an adventure. Yeah. He's probably trying to impress the lady. He's like, watch this. He's like James Gattbo. He's running into the train. It's such a check this out thing that watch this drive. Hey Sally, check this out. Man, stud, the train drivers just sees this bear is like, not again. Scott. Alright. Wait, I got to look this up the boss. Yeah. He's such a, the boss is, he's a horse, man. It's a, it's a big bear. You guys are afraid of real ways. You guys see the movie cocaine bear? No. No. No. It's exactly what you think it is. Cocaine bear would, would, would, would hit the train. Yeah. I can't believe this 50 to 70% of the, the grizzly cubs in the region are his kids. He's the Wil Chamberlain of bears. The other, the other email here I want to, I have to read, it's from Ben. Ben. Bebone. Ben writes, Ben from Jacksonville, Florida, go Jaguars, Ben writes, my breakfast, sourdough, everything baga with butter and a cortado and an Ethiopian pour over. Wow. Fancy. What's a cortado? Very small amount of milk, I believe. I think so. Well, Ben writes that because I think it works at a coffee shop, so Ben writes, since you guys brought up Imagine Dragons on this most recent podcast and I believe Craig asked the question, who's listening to Imagine Dragons? Ben writes, I can answer this question. I work at a coffee shop in Jacksonville Beach, where I had said breakfast and a coworker of mine at one point was probably the number one Imagine Dragons fan in the entire world. He's like on the Spotify rap, he's like, you are 0.005% for Imagine Dragons. You're just first. So he says, my coworker, he says, when he was hired, the only thing everyone knew about him was that he loves Imagine Dragons. That's the defining part of his personality. It's Imagine Dragons guy. Okay. He asked him about Imagine Dragons and maybe perhaps laugh behind his back a little about them being his favorite band. It turns out that the guy who was the Imagine Dragons fan, his best friend worked at the coffee shop too. One day, the best friend reveals to us that the new coworker, Imagine Dragons guy, is such a big fan of Imagine Dragons that he solves a riddle that Imagine Dragons had been posting, like piece by piece on their social media over several weeks. One of them like clues, like, oh, like this pixels off and it turns out that if you invert these colors, these numbers, Zodiac Killer, but yes, Zodiac Killer for Imagine Dragons. These letters correspond to these numbers, it's a day. This Co-worker solves the Imagine Dragons puzzle, submits it through the proper channels as they outlined and apparently was the first person in the world to do this. This guy. They're like, holy shit, somebody did it. We didn't expect that. And because he did this, he won a lifetime supply of Imagine Dragons. Kind of better. Okay. The entire Imagine Dragons band flew from Las Vegas to Jacksonville and surprised him and knocked on his door and then spent the entire day with him in Jacksonville, Florida and went to his every place that his favorite spot around there and he spent the entire day with Imagine Dragons. That's pretty sick, actually. That's cool. The cool of them to follow up on that are like, go through with it. Pretty amazing. It's funny because if you're wondering how do you know that this is true, perhaps he made the story up. Imagine Dragons film the entire thing and put it on the YouTube channel. That's such an Imagine Dragons thing to do. It really is. I know exactly what you mean, it is. Like 10 years ago, Maroon 5 would have done that, you know what I mean? I'm not necessarily criticizing it, there's just a very Imagine Dragons thing to do. That is a cool story and that's probably great for him to meet his favorite band. Yeah. So there you go. Okay, so we actually know the world's biggest Imagine Dragons. There is at least one that is their favorite band. Imagine Dragons friend in Florida. Imagine Dragons guy. Yeah, yeah. Happy for him. Yeah. Okay, so with that said, back to, you know, the month, you know, we're calling it again. So you got to say goodbye to, you got to thank people, you got to thank people and say bye to Lauren. Just reminding people. You got to thank you, DK. Thank you, Craig. Thank you to kill. Thank you, Cam. Thank you, Austin. Thank you for listening. Thank you. Thanks. We'll settle what's going on in your group chat. Thank you to Imagine Dragons guy and thank you to Ben for writing him that story. Imagine Dragons guy. Thank you, Evan for listening. Thank you, Lord. Lord, do you guys think it would be a pro, like, do you think we could get sued if we wrote Lauren Michaels name as a producer in the credits of every episode of our pod? Do you think that we can trouble for that? I'd like to try. It's probably two ways to find out. But one's more fun. Yeah. Cause I mean, he really, without him, we're nothing. Sorry. What would even this be him credit, but yeah, it's hard to. Okay. So songs, you're embarrassed that you love. We've all gone once. We have part in the USA. It was DK's Domino by Jesse J was mine and radio active by Imagine Dragons was hype. It's honestly a banger. Top three. I'm going with just an all time. It is. This was almost, we might have even talked about this in the millennial banger section, but I'm going with Avril Levine. Oh. I don't even know which one to choose because I feel like she's got multiple banger. I'm going to go. Her catalog. Yeah. I celebrate her entire in the whole catalog. Every album. Okay. I'm going to go with I'm with you because I saw this on a like a Instagram the other day. This guy was like on, you know the, the ride, the C dragon, which is just like a big pirate ship that goes back and forth. Oh, yeah. Have you guys ever done that? Like the rollercoaster? Yeah. No, not a roller coaster. It's like, it goes back. Yeah. Oh, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah. And if you're sitting at the very top, but like you can like, it gives you a funny feeling, I remember doing that in elementary school. Okay. Anyway. Well, feeling is that decay. It's like in your testicles kind of. It's an under-discussed part of life. Yeah. Plums. Yeah. You can actually taste my nuts. You know, it's like, it's like a weird feeling. I'm glad that happens to you guys too. I feel like I've never talked about this. Did we just been discussed? I don't know. You're on the phone. Anyone talks about doing this. You're on a Ferris wheel. It's supposed to be romantic and you're like, my balls are floating. I don't know what's happening. It feels lovely. I've never chased it ever since, you know? It's a one-of-one life experience, like I think there's nothing. I have never felt that at any other place. Do you think the seven are right now just like, what the fuck are they talking about? Anyway, the more insulting to the seven is that you're saying Avril Lavigne's embarrassing to listen to. No, that's not true because I, this, why I'm, oh yeah, I guess it is embarrassing, but I will say Avril Lavigne has been a band that are a band. Like an artist that we always like for whatever reason, going back to college, we would put Avril Lavigne on on the weekend and like, just fucking clean the house or something like that. Everybody likes this music. If you say you don't like it, or if you don't think it's catchy, you're fucking lying to us and to yourself, Avril Lavigne, very catchy shit. I'm surprised you went with "I'm with you" because that one's kind of a slow song. It's kind of, it's like a power ballad, it's kind of glorious. The other one I was thinking of was there's the boyfriend, hey, hey, you, you, I want to be your boyfriend. Girlfriend. - Right, and there's one other one that I can't remember. Craig, help me out here, 'cause I know that you're also-- - There's a Skaterboy and Convanger-- - You're a huge fan. - Skaterboy and Convukated are the big ones, right? - Yeah, this is the reason I thought of this category, by the way, 'cause I was like going through some of my old CDs from the early 2000s, and I had some Avril Lavigne on there, and I was just like, "Hey, this kind of, you know what? If you turn up really loud in the car, it kinda hits." - Yeah, I'm gonna, so I'm just gonna jump down Avril Lavigne's entire catalog. - That's probably what I'm gonna add. - Just anything from Avril Lavigne. If you don't like it, you're like, that's all. (laughing) - So catchy. - I like the idea of DK had a red light. You look over, you see this guy, he's in like cool Seattle wear, and he says, "Blast thing, why'd you have to go and make things so complicated?" (laughing) - Accurate. - Good one, Avril Lavigne. - Nothing wrong with that. - Only bangers from Avril Lavigne. - Only bangers. - Okay, I wouldn't be saying it if I thought it was actually bad. That's the thing, it's just generally 44-year-old men are not known for loving Avril Lavigne. - Well, that's all. - Yeah. It's good one. Okay, I got no notes. - Hi Fitz, do you have any, do you have any life experience with Avril Lavigne, or was that just not part of your life? - I think Avril Lavigne's a really good throwback. I think my only quibbles, I feel like the essence of this category of me is, if you had a cue in a car, and I had like three other people in the car, and like the Imagine Dragons radioactive came up, I'm like skipping, I'm like, I don't want them to know this in the queue. Avril Lavigne, I'm like, I'm putting that on. - You're not ashamed. - People get to love this, right? - Okay. - Yeah, I wouldn't be ashamed by that either, but look, we're all, we're different people. We've different experiences. If DK's in the car with the boys, maybe he's not putting on Avril Lavigne. (laughing) - Just afraid. - The boys are rolling out to a marathon game. I don't think he's putting on Avril Lavigne. - I think, here's the deal. - It depends on which of my friends are in the car. - Sure. - I'll be honest. - Yeah. - I see, yeah, my friends, if I put on Domino by Jesse J, I don't care, but if I'm with strangers, then I might not. (laughing) - Someone you don't usually get in the car. - Correct, if you had like a party at your, like a dinner party at your house, it all of a sudden. - If it's my friends, it's not a problem. - Avril Lavigne goes on and you're like, "Oh, should I change it?" - No. - But the difference is, for me, if I'm like, for some reason, driving across town with like Chris Ryan, Sean, Fantasy, and Mal. And I'm like, "Oh, I'm gonna put on Shuffle "of my most-like songs on Spotify." And number one is Domino by Jesse J. I'd be a little embarrassed. (laughing) - Yeah. - Chris Ryan, the person driving this, would be like, "Really?" And I'd be like, "Ah, who put this on here?" Liz, that was Liz. (laughing) - The nice thing is, once you have kids, you can blame your kids for your music rotation. - Sorry about this. - You're like, "Oh, this is Calvin, Calvin fucking loves this song, sorry." - I give it 18 months old, put on Domino by Jesse J. (laughing) - Goodbye, everyone. (upbeat music) (upbeat music) - 21 plus in present in select states for Kansas and affiliation with Kansas, Starkisino, or 18 plus in present in DC, or Wyoming.
