But I mean, first of all, what do people think about having the lead cup first given the season? I mean, it makes a bit of change from, you know, having. One and a half thousand people there, unless it's for a. It was really good. Games gives money. I got it. It was very hard. It felt like a preseason game. I'm not the build up to it. I'm not necessarily a bad thing to have it where we had it. I've seen a few people say that, you know, you got the bit of the rustiness out your system. Obviously, it would have been nice, wouldn't it? But I think we showed some real promising signs. We had a hell of a lot of chances, which was good. Blackpool, they just kind of let us run ourselves ragged and then capitalized when. When they when they chose to really, but yeah, it wasn't. It wasn't necessarily bad having the game before the season. I don't think we had a real good attendance. Yeah, I think from a draw point of view, it's a great idea to offer competitive game kind of before the season starts from a. And like I said, you know, usually you're lucky to get kind of two thousand two now thousand them games aren't you? We had just under five thousand and it was, you know, it was a good turn out. So it's a bit of a mini financial win for the club really. I think I'm guessing it was only put here because of the World Cup. I'm guessing I'm going to that's the only reason why it was kind of pitched on that week. Because the Premier League started for another yet another week after us, but. But now, yeah, not against it gives players a run out. So it's get puts minutes in the legs and if you win great, if you don't move on. Are we not all just slightly supported though that we didn't, you know, no, many night this season or is it concentrating on the league and which everybody thinks we're going to go up as champions? We will pay for that man to actually gain by losing in the first round this conference for the next 25 years now something like that. That's the way it's going to go. I think now. Trying to concentrate on the league as I think it had a bit of a detrimental impact on us last season. You look back at you look back at the end of the season, you two or three games. We could have turned into wins. I think we'd have gone up and there was a definite fall off with that amount of football we were playing in those high games. So, the mother me. I'm not mentioning earlier in the season, the games either side of when we've had big top games, whether it was back in the before man, you were. Was it Barney after Wednesday? We got we drop point while so was after the walls game, wasn't it? It just does a lot of drop points in and around those games. So I was. for sort of almost 51% happy when I win. do you want to get one of that? And there's a lot more football played on that pitch as well. I mean, go back to the to the Wolves game like so that that effect to the season some bit as well. So the little amount of football that can be played on that pitch this season the better. And we all know that there is one trophy that hasn't come home for many, many years. And we haven't taken it seriously. And this is the air now. Leacock's done. I'm sitting there thinking bloody hell this is a bit extreme and it's as Mike said on Mike Mike said the other Mike said it's in the same thing it's basically there's a narrative is built within and he needs to leave the football club for his own good and we need a better goalkeeper we need a better goalkeeper but I think he's good to do so I'm just saying we need a better goalkeeper we need a better goalkeeper we're not going anywhere you aren't going anywhere look at our starts our season transformed when we got Jaco in next versus 10 last season just massive went way better it's I don't know why the sort of it's somewhat dismissed because like I think a top goalkeeper well relatively any level is probably the most important decision Mike care to respond to Sam's outlandish statement that Christy Pym is at fault for everything right at some point on Saturday I thought he was I mean everything's quiet that we need to sort of something this week because we can't go into saturday with Christy Pym in goal because for but his for his well firm all the than anything else and this is just getting a bit ridiculous now I mean there was two goals that was scored by blackpool I don't think either were his fault the first goal is three defensive areas and it's a good low shot low down as a question about Mark about whether he's whether he's been cited and the second goal that's a ball we play every single game for you and Sweeney's decided to look around with it and not play a simple ball to make Janet and then that's instantly Pym's fault so I think I tell quite right there is with some there's a narrative around him that's never going to change you could play like Gordon Banks he's never going to win some round need to cut a losses and I think at this point it's actually quite quite cruel to put him in that environment now because everything he does on the pitch will be overanalyzed who is an hours around the place and I think we just need to put a losses as quickly as we can doesn't help the car rights got injured but I think he needs to play awesome if you don't do anything this way you need to play awesome get him out of that one thing I think Hannah all but Hannah all agree with me yeah there was well there were a few kind of moans I certainly don't think in the ground there was a kind of lot of issues with Pym being in goal I don't I think there was maybe if you kind of groans and moans here and then but he certainly wasn't getting kind of a pelters from the home support I don't think you know there's difference between kind of a minority online and actual kind of supporters that were at the game so I'll defend I'll defend the support in that case and I don't think kind of you know and I get you can certainly kind of feel a bit of attention when the ball was coming near him perhaps but certainly wasn't it wasn't nasty always you know that it wasn't hateful I know I'm wrong in that or no I think it felt more like people felt sorry for him which isn't great in itself and but I will caveat that with I was sat in the upper with the only not by regular scene from tunes so who knows what they thought but only there was there was one mile man right at the end and that's all I heard early and yeah I agree with he's not the best keeper and it's best for everyone that he moves on I don't agree with some discussing the narrative that's been built without saying that he was part of building that narrative and so I'm going to push back against that I started off by saying he was an improvement and then I said I said he's not been good enough I think I think it's overblown how bad he was I think I went back in the summer and watched the goals he conceded and I think there was four that you could put a question mark three of them a big question mark one of them was a bit 50 50 but if you go by the by what said about it you think he was letting goals left right and centre and as we discuss before that power game there's no conversation about Christie Bim in fact and I didn't do it to point somehow I did it to really just demonstrate that that our minds do change we were praising him me and young he was saying it praise him about how good he was and his distribution and stuff and then he had four bad games and got injured so as bad as he's been in those I think the fact he got injured and somebody came and replaced him was really good has made it worse and I don't think he's from his perspective yeah no I think in everybody's minds because the last thing we remember is four really bad games and that was nearly a year ago and that's all you remember yeah we don't know whether or not Pim would have recovered from that do we because he got he got he got replaced and and they might they might transfer list suggests that the club aren't particularly happy with him and I think you know the club the club clearly put all their eggs in one basket when they want to sign Jackson Smith there's obviously rumors of this guy from Arsenal there's a rumor of another guy but it is the Cubs Cubs Fault and Cubs problem that we're in this particular position and it's up to them to sort it and sort it quickly because I do agree it's not the best for us. We're looking at a keeper here that's probably a half decent mid-table keeper. We're looking to win the league, not make up the numbers and you need some, you know, he's a professional sportsman, if he's confident, shot then get over it and get on with it and if you think the fans are against you then you know you have four games when you're putting in James B. Cue and I performances in terms of 9 out of 10s and people quickly forget but I think you know I think everybody you know not too high, not too low let's see how he goes but unless we don't I don't see us bringing anyone in with four now and the start they get to start the season that's my thoughts on it anyway. The goalkeepers don't tend to get big injuries and yeah it's a steep crowd than he's pushing forward. Yeah yeah yeah it's true. I think you know what is it? I did check that youngy I think how's wrong the information I can get online they're all thigh injuries. Yeah that's that's a big one. I thought there was a cup of impacts in there but no it seems from online they're all thigh injuries so that has to be probably. Sadly I thought we played really really well we're going into the season on Saturday you're looking around the squad and think all we need to do if you've fed it you know we're good once we level in but where's that depth that we had at the end of the season. So that that's a worrying thing we've got some bits to do still.
