This extension project has already been implemented for a year and a half, and it is the third semester completed by it. And now we are entering the second week of the podcast. What is the week of the podcast? Last semester we had the first, this semester we had the second. All the teachers involved in the extension project will talk to someone. And today we are repeating an attempt, this time it was right, to talk to Marc Couto, our student of the second period, and who was invited last semester and who did not respond to the invitation. He did not respond because he did not have a voice to respond. And now that she has already got her voice back, we insisted and she accepted the invitation. And that's it. Welcome to our second week of the podcast. Thank you very much, Professor Omaonra, for being here, doing a part of it. Thank you for the invitation, once again. Last semester I was going to be a part of it, because the extension is a very big love that I have for college. Many people think that the extension is our complete load, but I think it's FDCM. And mainly the work that the Lord is doing with us is very cool, because it brings a lot of people together from the reality, right? We went to Rafael's house, so it was very interesting. I can't talk much because I went to everyone, I'm very passionate about it. Because it explains what she is saying. We make visits to the institutions that we support. Here we work in the first and second period, it is Rafael's house. And in these visits we give the opportunity for the students who want to meet and go. And how many times did you go? We went to the fours. In the fours? She already has a little box of Rafael's house. I was moved by the project, it's really different when you step inside, it has a totally different feeling. And I never thought that a project from college would bring so many good feelings to our lives. And this changed many perspectives in my life. I came back there a few times alone from college, it was very important to me. That's why I wanted to be part of it more past, as the teacher said, I was sick, I didn't have a voice for me, but this time I'm here. Funny, I'll take advantage of what you said to make a confession that I don't think is a sin. In fact, when it comes to me managing this project, I also did not understand the depth and how much it transforms people involved. I did it because I would have to do it, the institutional part is part of my work, I said, I'm going to do it as much as I can, as much as I can and I'm going to do it in the best possible way. The problem is that this project reaches a point where it takes care of the lives of people. So what would be almost a functional action turned into an option and a nice option. The idea of ​​extension, because there is a lot of people who are taking the car and driving, the idea of ​​extension is what produces itself as knowledge in college. To touch the real world, touch the extra walls, it is not to make an academic knowledge that is stuck in the academy. And for this we need to take the students to know the social deficits, the social problems, the realities of other people who are not part of our reality. We have this project divided by five teachers, tutors and each one works with a segment of the community. It is the teacher's body, the student's body, entering into contact, trying to rescue the deficits of the civil community. It is very interesting, I, as a student, also when we had the extension project, we don't understand, we say, "Wow, but what is it?" And I went, it's really something that touches us, because we feel in the duty to help and it's such a beautiful thing that you don't feel like you're studying there, you're there for a project, you have to take the time, it really touches you with the moment, last semester not everyone had the opportunity to go, and it was so cool that this semester tripled the number of students who are going to visit, we are already marking date, I think. Yes, it's already marked, it's day 30, we're going there and the person who took the initiative, after the test we go, then after the test we go, and it seems that there are things about 30 students at least. Yes, it's a lot of people, we started the visits at least in my room, I didn't know anyone, nobody knew much about it, it was with six students now, it's enormous, I don't even know how we're going to do it, but I was very happy because it's very cool when more people have the opportunity to meet, more people will be touched, I'm sure, because it's impossible to enter there and feel a different energy, a different feeling, we come back there, we see life with another perspective, we have health, I can study, and a lot of people here don't have the same reality, we can do everything to help, and it's not a help, it's like a solidarity, and it's very nice to help, I was very happy when more people participated, I'm sure there are a lot of people here. And at Casa São Rafael it has a very interesting situation, who is from Pouso Alegre, who is from the region, knows Casa São Rafael, knows that there is and knows that there is something to do with oncological treatment, by the way, I knew, I knew that there was something to do, but I never knew what it was until the beginning of the project, and Casa São Rafael does a work of support to the patient in oncological treatment and the family of this patient. What happens? It's a treatment that has already had experience, it's an aggressive treatment, it's a heavy treatment, it's a treatment that psychologically affects many people, people stop working because of the treatment, so the family income ends, people usually, when they come from another city, they come with transport from the municipality, they have to stay here from morning until night, waiting to make a chemo, which is a very heavy process, and Casa São Rafael welcomes these people with all kinds of support, they offer food, they offer driving, they offer medical services, and it was a very good experience for me. And after the first visit, which was your turn, which you did in the first semester of this year, we see how people start to see Casa São Rafael in a different way. Did you know Casa São Rafael? No, I didn't know it, I had already heard about it, I am not a member of the Oleg. You had already heard about it, you didn't know what it was? It's the biggest question, people know what it is, but there is no notion of how it is, this is the question. And besides all this financial support, there are all kinds of doctors, all kinds of help, I think what captivated me the most in Casa São Rafael was the joy of the people, you arrive there, it's contagious, like the employees, they treat you well, everyone smiles on their faces, sometimes you arrive there, you are sad, you come back like this, it's renovated, it's very tasty. If we have the opportunity to visit Casa São Rafael in an extension project, wow, don't think twice, it's true, it's very good. This positivity of Casa São Rafael is a thing that comes to bother us. You just put your foot on the floor, who is cleaning the front already smiles, already invites you to come in and the person who is in the reception already had a smile on their face, and already comes someone to receive you, then you cross with some patients and this is also impressive. All the patients are happy, smiling, so this human part of Casa São Rafael may be the most impressive. And honestly, can you believe it? It's very surreal, I was talking to that girl who guided us, Fernanda, Fernando is a sweet person, a hug to Fernanda, she said to me, we live here in the providence of Vienna, we don't know when we will win for months, there are months when we think "my God, how will it be?" And in the end it always works. So I say that God takes care of everything, it's something you can't believe, people, you have no idea how much gas you have in that house, it's absurd, it's just a pack of fraud that even produces it. There is a lot of gas, your food, they have a stationer, inside there are all the necessary supplies, it's a complete help, both emotional support and medical support, it's a very big expense, so you can't believe how they tell, I think that many more people had to help, to know the project and really be able to help in some way. There are prayers, requests, I can't even help financially speaking, but everything is a kind of help. A lot. They really need a lot of dedication. Because it's a very beautiful project. She commented here that they have a fraud factory, and in this fraud factory there is a moment in the process, and you must remember the final moment. Yes. This is a detail that makes the whole difference. I'll stay only for the provocation. What detail is this? All of us gather, we have a lot of conversations, they pray after this, I went there once after this, this specific detail that I'm saying caught me a lot. They pray for me, but not always all of us. There are four people, sometimes there are 56, sometimes there are eight of us, and every time we finish we pray, we make a prayer here, and it's very tasty, we have a coffee, then we laugh, and it's all very, because it's a voluntary work. No one is receiving anything, all the women who make the prayer. And they became friends, we had something so... It seems that there are 20, depending on the day, right? Yes, there are many women who help, and when the production is big, they really make a bigger movement. There are always six, eight people. It's a lot of people helping, it's a very beautiful work, I think you had to be very well recognized, you know? Yes, and with that, going back to the academic side, we can allow the student a perception of a world that, at the age of our students, is a world that we don't have much coexistence with, which is the world of problems, which is the world of an economic deficiency, which is a health problem, and to say that, in some way, everyone can be part of it. The extension project, in the proposals by MEC, talks about social transformation. And I always say that transformation is not a revolution, it's not ending with a problem, because it's impossible. But any relief, it transforms. If it's little for everyone, for those who receive the relief, it's a lot. It's 100% for some. So, that's what I'm repeating today. It affected me a lot to meet the Rafael de Perto house, which I knew, but I never had the notion of the extension of their work. And, in fact, we help and help, because we get there with a closed head, we are kind of ignorant. Sometimes we are bad, we are not grateful for life. We come back from there, so complete, so happy, so captivated by people. We see the world from another perspective. And I felt I had to come here to say this, because the extension project was very important to me. It really touched me. I came back from there, another person, a completely different person, so much so that I came back four times. It's always very good to be there. And, I think it's something that has to be said. It's very important. I really liked participating in this project. The extension is incredible. Congratulations on your work. It's very good. We help and help. We pretend here at the School of Law of Southern Minas that this is in our institutional project, the training of professionals with a very striking humanistic characteristic. So, these contacts make the student and you say, "Ah, sometimes we don't care." That's not the lack of experience. With this project, we open the doors so that you have the experience of how it is and the life of no one is easy. We see the students running here in the corridor, everyone playing, everyone happy, everyone dressed up, they have their problems at home, their family problems, but actually we don't always have the notion of social problems as something that affects everyone. Seeing that this is something present in the lives of many people, which is sad, helps in this humanistic training and gives the idea that I have a social responsibility. I'm doing a college, I'm doing a legal course, I have good living conditions, there are people who don't have these conditions. So having this contact creates a new perspective of life. Certainly. About what I said, we don't understand, it's a lack of knowledge, that when we open the teaching plan, 54 hours extension, what is this? What is this? And when we really know, as you said, lack of knowledge, when we come in and see what our 54 hours are, it will be little for us to see everything good we have to offer. It's very cool. Perfect. I've already started saying goodbye, but it's still been a while, she talked about what we're doing now, which is a RIF, in fact, in the first semester, we focused on the material support of Casa São Rafael, and we got a ton of food. In this second semester, we're focusing on the dissemination, we're doing the material for a series of pamphletages, in a cheerful way, in the region, so when you cross with our staff, doing the pamphletage, they receive this person with affection, they're working, it's not for the faculty, it's not for themselves, it's for Casa São Rafael, and we're going to do a pamphlet of awareness, prevention, and we're also doing a cartel, this RIF will be how we're going to relay the number to make the material, and then the students will distribute this material. This is what we projected, first semester, the material support, the second semester, the dissemination, which, I insist, they complain a lot, that they need a lot of dissemination, to know and to say what it is.
