Oh, oh, I see. Am I online? Oh, look over there. Is that a culture? Yes. Oh, wow. Last cultureistas. Ding dong! Last cultureistas calling. We're already sort of in process on this episode. We just got right into it. I think it's because it's. Well, by the time this comes out, it will be Pisces season. The beginning day one. It's a time. It's a time. It's a time. Who was ringing through the hallways as we were preparing was his. And we were sort of connecting about really just how good it is. And I said, most memorable concert of my life, March 5th, 2023. Pisces season. My birthday. She fell off that diving board. Why did we laugh? That's true. That's true. Why is there laughter? The concept of like falling off a diving board is terrible. So you think it's funny to think of someone falling off a diving board, which is actually really high up in the sky. That's why that's what people do. Unbelievable. That's true. She fell. She was sitting like Princess Diana, and then slipped off. Tragic hands. Oh. Tragic hands. I love that we're back in like a classic space. I think our guest has always been in that space. Study the classic. Study the classics. Vocals that is. TPAs. This is a moment. What is PPAs? Professional performing arts school. Oh. Which I want to really dig deep into like what was the feeling knowing that the other school was right up the street. Dean. You know what I mean? The episodes. It's title. What Runner is. Professional performing arts episode. Yes. Okay. Because we're about to be schooled in many ways. Absolutely. Our guest is a legend. Winner of Rapulsar Agressal Stars. Trader season four. Participant. But the thing is, really, it wasn't anyone's fault. It was just that luck thing that happens in traders. I really wanted a world where our guest was at the end. And I felt it there for a second in the edit. I was like, I even said to be able definitively, they're baking in it to the edit. Monet wins. Well, because because because our guest was booked for this show. Yes. Before the season started and we were like, Monet is coming. That means she does very well. That means she does well. We were like baked in to that reality. Come to find out. She was a participant. But I would have loved this reality in which at Bob's encouragement, she got rid of Duranda first. I would have. That would have been amazing. And that would have steeped us all this like this Ron Funch is Duranda. It's the will they won't they have the year. Well, yeah, yeah. Ron Funch is in Duranda. But also the host of I guess maybe the best podcast ever sibling rivalry. And Monet talks. And on gorgeous. I can't tell if that white couches gorgeous or disgusting. Let's let's get into it. The latter. Hi. Hi. What's up. I'm Tony. Tony is his the tour February 20th, May 23rd. It's a birthday coming up. Everyone welcome. Next. Hi. Hi. That was a lovely introduction. It's a lovely time. You don't introduce her. To you. Yeah, I do. No, of course. I do. I do. I do. I love a good intro. Yeah. And I work really harder than because I think it's a great way to set the tone of the interview. I knew how this is a views where they like I tell they had no idea who the fuck I was. No. And it was like, well, here we go. Yeah. Cause they cause because they they call you Monnet or something. Yeah, Monnet. And they were like, she was on a. So you think. Monnet. So you think you can drive. Monnet. Oh my God. And here we go. Yes, Chuck. Hi, Chuck. How are you doing? Three. This is actually a moment in history as well, because there's lore. There's lore. There's literally a lot of lore. Oh, there's lore. Because your. To be husband. Yes. Is Andy Short, who we. Yes. Go. So back with. Yeah. Y'all know him in like a really over like I can't even imagine a person that he was. Like back then. Like he was. He did a lot of drugs. Did a lot of drinking. Yeah. Like was a mess. And he's just so different now. Drinking as an era. Straight. The biggest part. He was straight. He was so straight. He would walk around with an iguana on him. That's great. Like do you remember? He would. He would. No. He'll have to like say what type of lizard. It was really. I'm. Yeah. I'm the type of gay where I don't know the difference between the lizards. Yeah. Yeah. See, this was to illustrate. Yeah. Oh, god. Your cat looks so weird. You should like you wedding or something. I know. Your cat needs to be watered. You need to water your cat. Literally. It's weird. Yeah. I mean, now he has a dog potato, which the jury's on. What? A dog named potato. Oh, I thought you said a dog potato. Yeah. He's got a dog. He looks ever. He waters that as well. I feel comfortable sharing this with Andy. You know, because he feels comfortable sharing this with Andy. Yeah. He wants to talk. It's his like claim to fame. It's no. His claim to fame is that you two are madly in love. But I was his first gay kiss. His first gay kiss. His first gay kiss was Bowen. Yeah. Yeah. Because I visited him. So he transferred to Emerson. Yeah. He was in with you. Because he was kicked out of NYU. I don't know. I didn't. Yeah. We actually knew. He was in our sketch comedy group. And then one day he just left. And we were like, what happened? And we just figured he needed a change. Yeah. He was up on the liquor. You were like, I need a change in my life. God sober. And then. And then. But apparently because he was so bad that third semester. Uh-huh. And why you asked him to leave. Wow. They're like, you have to go. Wow. Yeah. They're like, no privilege here. You're gone. No. You're out. Out of here. Yeah. So then he. So then he goes to Emerson. He transfers to Emerson. Is like a darling there. Because he's the funniest person. And then after we graduate. 2012. I the summer after we graduate undergrad. I go up to Boston. I was like, I'm going to visit Andy. How's he doing? He's sober now. He's great. Like, I'm, you know, I love Barney. He's like mother. And so I go up to Boston. I stay with him. We have like, I would say a weekend that was like a European short film. It was like so romantic. And then. And then. And then. And then we went to Walden pond. Okay. It's snuck around like a part of the pond where no one's allowed. Everything I love. We like dove in and like swam a bit and like. In a pond. In a pond. And like. Oh my god. This is a short film. And you're talented creative person. Yeah, yeah. There was a intense moment where we were just like waiting in the water. Just kind of like looking at each other. Like, what is this? And then we go home. We go back to his place. And then like. I think. And then at some point we just we started. He kissed you gingerly. He kissed me gingerly. And he dropped me off the train station was like, well, like this, this, this would never happen. Like this would never. Whoa. So I. I'm so glad our paths diverged because you two found love. And then you got to get your woman. You got to get your woman. Oh my god. Yeah. He gets your woman. Wait, I totally forgot about that. Yeah. Eight years ago. And with in this like crazy elaborate engagement. He like flew her family and his family in like this like crazy. The bachelor scavenger hunt in central parks. I was like, hey, if you're going to propose to me, maybe you got to up that ante. Really? Absolutely. I'm like, shit, I don't get. Like, the fair street, I guess just a, a, a, a, a, a, a, a, a, a, a, a, a, mid, mid evil time. Down at the ranch. Yeah. I think it seems so hetero though. It is very hetero. So then what do you do? What do you do for you? So on our very first date, we went out for ice cream for our first date. Yeah. I like that. People who do dumb dinner for our first date. Are you crazy? Are you so loaded? That is a, you're paying like 60, 80 bucks to, to, to talk to someone. Yeah. It goes on way too long. Like, you know, I don't have, what if it's a bad date? Now you just locked in for an hour and a half with this person that's like awful. And you have cancer. And you have to get cancer. Yeah. So we had ice cream at, um, bandloon ice cream in, in L.A., and after that, we like, we were going to go to Griffith Observatory till I just check it out. But it was a Saturday. It was really busy. Uh-huh. So we, he dropped me back, back off my car. We showed a little kiss. And then later on the night, he was like, I'm, I'm going to go to Hot Dog Sunday. Um, so you want to meet there meet at Meta Hot Dog Sunday. So for our four anniversary, he was like, um, I want to take you to a bandloon ice cream again. And I was like, okay, sure, go to the vinyl and ice cream, walk in, they're playing
my song "Love Like This" and they named like a flavor after me. I was like, "Oh my God, this is so sweet, so cute." - For your anniversary. - Before I even, that's very cute. And then after, he's like, maybe let's go to Hotdog Sunday. Now, Hotdog Sunday, if y'all don't know, starts at 5 p.m. At this point it's 2 p.m. I was like, well, why would we go there? Like the bar's gonna be closed. He's like, that's what, I don't wanna go there. He's like, well, let's just try. I was like, Andy, that's stupid. I was like, who wants to go to a closed bar? That's what I'm not going there. He's like, I think we should try. Like that is literally the dumbest idea anyone has ever said. I'm like, no, I'm actually taking me home. Not that, I take me home. He's like, he needs to go. I was like, oh, fine, I'll do your stupid idea. Go to Hotdog Sunday. Get there, Selena Estudies is playing the door girl. And then she usheres me in. He's on stage, and there's like a beautiful sunflower installation of like a sunflower, 'cause he want me sunflower on my first date. And he's on stage. He comes out and looks like black outfit. And he sings this acoustic version of my song "Love Like This." And as y'all know, Andy does not sing. He's been taking voice lessons for a year to learn how to sing for the proposal. And he's so romantic. He's very romantic. Oh, no, we didn't dive in a pond, but that one of it. That one of it's neither. I saw the cake and we had a little dip in the pond. You guys have the rest of your lives to do that. I feel like how could it be more romantic than any of that? It was very sweet. But they are good men. They are good men, but can I say something? I feel like such an asshole. Why? The hole gives me the ring. My god, it sounds so comfy. No, say what? Gives me the ring. And then I look at the ring, oh, this is beautiful. And then later that night, I was like, he was like, so how do you feel about the ring? I was like, I like it, but one little change. I want to just an eternity set, Bobby Diamond. 100%. Let me see it. Yeah. Oh, and it really is. Okay, so this is after the note. It was after the note. And he had this, but there was like a big square cut diamond in the middle of it. Okay. It was his mother's engagement. So I was like, I love this. I was like, let's take out the stone. I'll put on something else. Yes. Because I had to wear this for the rest of my life. I understand. So we're I'm putting it in like an infinite energy. Exactly. It's so fucking tasteful. We're so cute. We're just so cute. It was a little extra in the way that is you. Oh, my god. I'm so happy that you got like the proposal you deserve. Yeah. That is like, I could not think of someone. I was actually saying, he back in the day. It was known as being so effortlessly funny. Like in our schedule, he was by far really people thought of him as one of the people that was it could naturally sell anything in terms of comedy. Well, y'all hold y'all's whole class. Like, I mean, like it's birth fucking legion something was crazy. Yeah. Like it is like so many talents of people from this class and it is crazy. Yeah. I also shout out Steph Schoo. Steph Schoo. Who is going to be in Rocky Harbor? Did you see this Rocky? I do. I cannot wait to see it. Oh my god. It's going to be really a gag and I can't believe Steph is in a show. I know. She's perfect for that. Like show. That looks so good. I'm so. You know, I've only got it. I've only got it into theater as I left New York because yeah, born and raised New York curve, we're living here. I never went to go see shows. I was like, um, because you couldn't afford it because that was it for me. That was our thing. We did not go when we were here all the time. And mine, we could have taken advantage of like student discounts and stuff, but we just couldn't afford it. Like that's why we never saw anything back in the day. I was just ignorant. P.B.A.S. You're not going to have to cash on it. I don't know. I'm not going to go. Oh, yeah. I don't know the latent life. I think moving to LA. I was like, I want to just experience more theater. Yeah. But it's a really weak year right now. I know. That's why all of a sudden it's like like, well, I'm sure things are going to be great eventually. But the thing is like the reason why there's like a lot of things happening. There's a lot of space in theaters. So things are now starting to get thrown up. Yeah. But you know what Jennifer Hudson just announced is that she's producing Dreamgirls. Oh, yeah. Yeah. Coming back. Yeah. Which I've been. I've been thinking why the fuck did they not bring that with Amber Riley? Okay. So I had Amber Island to show. I was like, Amber, what happened? She was like, I'm not going to say it was because of me, but I could not come and do it on Broadway. What? Yeah. This was like when this was 2018, I think. Yeah. I was on Drag Race. I was like, you know, I'm going to like take a week off and make sure I go see the show, but I never made time to go do it. And I was kicking one. When I, because everyone was like, always coming to Broadway. Right. It was like bringing the wisdom production is coming to Broadway. Yeah. Okay. I'll just wait till the comes to New York. Yeah. And when it didn't, I was so mad that I did not get to see the West End production of Dreamgirls. But now we're going to get it here on Broadway. You've done Broadway. I've never done Broadway. You, you're such a fucking fit. You know, I, because I, so okay, to be the real see, I just started auditioning for this stuff come like November. And because I was like, I'm an opera girl, and in school, you were, we, it kind of taught us a stick on it was like, you're not going to do theater like it was that like it was that whole thing. So for the longest time, I was like, I can't do music theater like I need to, I'm, I'm holding myself up for opera, you know, but now I'm, as like now, I'm a fully formed adult. I'm like, no, I fucking love music theater. It becomes her, I've seen show like 19 times, this is my dream, yeah, yeah, I think, uh-huh, that I can do the viola Van Horn roll, imagine that in full drag wounds. And it is the type of roll where it sits with a musically, yeah, no, it's just perfectly in my register. And it will still be just dramatic. There's no reason for this to not happen. We have to say, we have to say out loud, this news, the happy, this viola is the, this viola is the Michelle Williams. Yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, 100% this would tear. It would be so, it would be a done deal. I think it would be dope, holy shit, about every single I'm counting but in a seat, why would I need that 100% by the way, like she is so, and I've been watching so much Kelly Rowland content lately. I think today we're recording it's her birthday. Oh, is he going to know it? Well, is it February 13th her birthday because there's just been a lot of, I don't know, Tina was her happy birthday today. So what recording it is, anything on Beyonce.com, it's a lot of Kelly. I was just checking Beyonce.com recently and it's a lot of Kelly stuff. There's a Kelly Rowland company happening and I just always appreciate when that happens. She did an interview, like I think like two days ago and I just saw a pop up on TikTok because when they met and she and someone asked her to do like, so there are all these rumors that on your tour that Beyonce was giving you notes and like everything. And she was like, absolutely, she was like, she was my best friend and she was the greatest artist in the world. Of course, she was like, anytime my friends go to my show, I'd welcome notes and I would make my show better. I was like, good on you. And I'm not being like, no, I don't need any help. She's like, no, like Beyonce is my best working friend. I'm gonna like, milk that, of course, give me the notes girl. She was iron, sharpened, iron. Yes. I was like, where? Yes. Wow. That's because it is true. I mean, just to speak to that, like you surround yourself with, I think like the highest caliber of people as well. Like you every single week talk to multiple times, the funniest, smartest person about the dry queen because that's who you are. And I really do think like I was there when we were all nominated, you guys won the GLAAA award. And I was like, yeah, 100%, they should be winning every award for two people talking to each other. That's how I feel. Well, we're never going to win those awards because we don't do Patreon, like we can't talk about that. We can't talk about that. We have to be very careful. Y'all have blown us out the whole freaking wall. We have to be more careful. I'm just saying that it's so done. We're done. You do sibling rivalry, Patreon sibling rivalry, and then you do watchery, which is I guess is like part of it. It's folded in. But then, but then the Monet talks thing is the couch is disgusting, you think? Oh, that couch. So that couch is, it is like a hundred dollar couch from the Facebook marketplace. Yes. Yeah. But it works with the set. Or it does because it's supposed to be like this 80s base mini vibe, like just chill. So I love that couch. Well, I just, I have to ask just because you briefly mentioned it with Joel, Final Fantasy 10, talk about it. Oh my God. Okay. So in my humble opinion, Final Fantasy 10 is one of the best games of the decade of stories that story ever told of the 90s. It's just like the gameplay is just so good that this beautiful love story with Titus and unit. And you have this which Luna with these little like the voodoo dolls, and it's just, I just, I played the game through about three or four times, and I go through it. I make sure I get all the aons. I'm like doing all the bonus content. I just love that game so much and it's so beautifully shot. It's so beautifully shot. Or drawn, whatever. Whatever. But like this. Yes. Oh my God. What's this? Turn a whole generation of boys. Yeah. This is, if you said, do you know, Shiva? I'm fine. Do you know, Shiva? Shiva. Of course, of course our camera guys knows one of them know Shiva. She's in a different group, by the way, than the people who knew the film seven. Like a lot of it. It's different. Like make sure people last week we had a whole bunch of guys that we mentioned the David Fincher film seven and they all started to activate. So this is a little bit of a difference in the community here, but so we're bringing people together. Shiva was just as the contiest ice got before there was Elsa, before it was, it was Shiva. Shiva. They were Shiva. And then sometimes they do Shiva twins. They do an army of Shiva's. Yes. And two Shiva's are more. There's a bunch of Shiva's, but Shiva is basically the ice goddess and she in Final Fantasy 10 her second true move is always called Diamond Dust. Yeah. And it was so. It's just just everybody, including you, Diamond, look up Diamond Dust Final Fantasy 10. You. It is. That sounds like a Stevie Nick single. Diamond Dust.

Listen to Out of Character from Will Ferrell's Big Money Players Network. - On the I Heart Radio app, Apple Pods, or wherever you get your podcasts. - We have to ask you the central question of our podcast. - I feel like you are third co-host energy, but I also felt this way when I was on Monet Talks. I was like, oh, I remember I was like, it's over when they said it was time to go. I was like, I could talk forever. - Of course. - What was the culture that made you say culture was for you? This is the central question of lost culture and you put it to you now on exchange. - For me, it is unequivocally that's so raven. - Oh, okay. - That's so raven. Like the way that that show was literally a cultural reason was dope. I was like, you know, in that same era, we had sweet life as that can go to Liza McGuire. - Things were happening. - All those things. It was the first blacker lipstick on. And she was a little thicker. And raven was allowed to be funny, crazy. Her physical comedy was unmatched. - She was giving the best comedic performance on television. - So good. - Absolutely. - It was Lucille Ball. - Yes, it was. - And she just went on these characters. She was a psychic, all this stuff. And like I just thought, like seeing raven backster on my screen, all the different characters, she was like very like Martin S or Jimmy Popping, all these different characters, any Murphy stuff type shit. And she was just, and also not even that, raven Simone, like you look fast, you've rewind 15 years before that, she was doing it on the Cosby Show. So raven has always been on the cutting edge of like really, this like sitcom, TV show space. - Yes. - Like Archimedes new era and normalizing the experience of black folk living and being like stars. - Yes. - So that's what raven was at for me. - Dr. Doolittle too. - Dr. Doolittle too. - It's because they knew they had someone who could do anything. - Yeah, she would do anything. - When you talk about it being like a kin to all of those things of the past, it's because they were like we have an opportunity in this talent to throw any kind of sketch situation, any kind of thing at this person. And you do not see that now. - No, no, no. - You don't see that. And it is a little bit like she was a kid, et cetera. Like you know, we now look at like being a child actor differently in terms of how much they should work. But the thing is like that type of personality doesn't even really exist anymore. - Yeah. - Because there aren't showcases for it anyway. - Right. - Yeah. And it's like, well it's like why can we have that like why? Like the surely the talent isn't gone. There is some kid out there who has that same breath of like talent, but where are they? - It just gets lost in the sauce of like the social media stuff now. Like there really aren't like, I like what's been the last big like Disney channel slash next. Like they're just there aren't those things, except like high school musical, the series. - Yeah. - If you just like if you attach that to it, then like you could say Olivia Rodrigo, but then she wasn't like famous for being on that show. She became a superstar as a result of that song. - Yeah, the song. Yeah. - So it is hard to say. - Yeah, I don't think does Disney do they still do original shows? Like I can't name one or like have we aged out? Does we just don't know? But I have to watch our tunes. I love I have a total.
I mean, listen, I feel like if there was a personality that like existed like that, we would know it. I would also point out who was like that Amanda Bines. Amanda, I want to say Amanda Bines as well. He's the man. She's the man. He's the man. She's the man. The gender is a construct. Yeah. Whatever. I showed you Amanda Bines show like iconic. Like Raven and Amanda, they were like, they were, they were, they were, they were paying the bills over there. And Disney, my dad was like, my dad was always like, this girl is the funniest person on television. I was like, she is. Yeah, so good. Favorite. That's the Raven episode. Oh, um, the one when she, they're in the store at the mall and I think she gets the premonition or the, the future of someone stealing something or something like that. And they have, and she's like trying to stop Orlando Brown, which she's, oh, yeah. What's, what's, what's, what's, what's, I think things are not things are not well. She's not well. Okay. Yeah. Um, and then like Chelsea, which, oh my gosh, she was also a great actress too. And at least a Vander Poe. She is great. Yeah, she, she was, she was also really, really great timing and stuff like these kids. I'm like, well, y'all were really, y'all were in theater and stuff as kids. Yeah. No, no, not at all. No, we were, he did theater and I was like sports, sports, sports, sports. I was more like Andy Short, man, he was in the short, no, I, there were the kids who did like community theater where you went, fuck, yeah, they're, they're winning, you're weaponized in a way. They can't do it. But it was, I always wanted to become like a little theater weapon. Yeah. But I, there was no runway for me. Yeah. I was, I was, I was, I was wearing sketchers. I was a beauty mate too. Fun. I was being made fun of all the time. No. Oh, yeah. So I was this chubby little black boy in middle school. I went to Marine Park, junior high school, the third worst middle school in New York state, in Brooklyn, in Marine Park, like so bad, like in middle school, six, seven eighth grade eat, they would have like cop cars lined out of the school to get it to, to corral us onto the buses. But like seven grade, I had been jumped like five times because I was just a, I, bitch, I, I've always kind of walked like that. If you duck, I've always had a thick old booty walking around. I'm gonna tell you I always make fun of me for the show. And then so like I would always make fun of me, but as all crickets do, I found comfort and joy in chorus. Yeah. I was one of the three boys in chorus and I had a low voice. I started growing facial hair in like seven grade. Oh. So I was like, could be kissing the low notes in chorus about the bass. Yeah. Yeah. And then after that, my teacher was like, you know, you should audition for one of those high schools in the city. I was like, Oh, there's like audition high school. She's like, yeah, there's a little party at his PPS. There's the one in Queens of Frank Sinatra. There's ones I was like, okay, so I literally, they treated like a fucking American idol audition. You stand, you line up, you line up outside the school on, you get a number on a cold New York city morning and you eating your bacon and cheese in line, trying to do your little scale. I was to warm up and they, you do like a sightseeing, you get the sightseeing. Oh, that was a waste of time. I think 10th or age of 13. Yeah. Yeah, it's girl. And you do that. Yeah. My audition song was flying without wings by Ruben's better, and that's the joy of rings. And that's the joy of rings. That is the joy of rings. He was so good. He was so good, right? Yeah. Both of them were good. Yeah. Joey was good, Ruben was good. Kimberly Locke was better. Kimberly Locke was the one. And Trinese was my girl. I love Trinese. She was fifth place. Kimberly Locke sang somewhere over the rain, both three different things. He was so good. Yeah. Yeah. And the three different times in the same fucking season. I know you remember this one, Kimberly Locke always sat in somewhere over the rain. Somewhere over the rain, though. And then Clayton came. Is he like a politician now? He tried. He tried. I don't know how I know. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Did you just audition for PBS? No, I audition for LaGuardia and PBS. And Frank Sinatra. And Frank Sinatra. And I got into, I'm sorry, and talent limited, which I don't know talent limit is still over here. It was on the limit. Talent unlimited. Okay. Talent limited. It was on the limited talent. And I got into PP as talent, unlimited, and Frank Sinatra, but LaGuardia said no thank you. No. So what was the feeling? Because you can talk about it now. He's been in the business. Yeah. Yeah. For sure. What was the feeling of going to PBS knowing that LaGuardia was just up the street? Okay. You know, literally, it's literally like, what, 15 blocks literally on the same avenue of the street. On the west side. On the west side. On the west side. And, you know, I mean, at first, you're like, I didn't get into the fame school, I didn't get into LaGuardia. Yeah. But like, I really, I really do feel like everything happens for a reason. Yes. And because I went to PPS, we had a Miss Ryan named with Shanto Ryan and she was really big on like, I know y'all kids like y'all R&B and y'all hip-hop, but y'all gonna learn some culture in this motherfucking lab. So she would, like, so she would introduce us to opera and anthems and spirituals and stuff like that. And we, we were part of this, like, tour and choir, the songs of Solomon and we were on tour, on spring break and midwinter break, we would go on tours to Canada around the States and like, she was really instrumental in introducing me to opera. So that's when from her, I was like, maybe I can't do opera. And I went to Westminster, where I called in Jersey for my degree in music, and that's what I did. And then you stuck around Bronx? No. So I went to school there when I came back. I moved to Brooklyn, but we're back home to Brooklyn for a year and I got my own place. And I lived in Brooklyn for two years and then I would then I moved to the Bronx. Then Bronx? And then were you doing karaoke shows? And the Bronx was so disgusting. Yeah, yeah, yeah, sure. It was the commuters. It was terrible. But when I, when I, oh, so when I finished that, I taught at PS130 at Hernandez de Soda School in the lower east side. Doing theater teaching? Yeah. Music, music teaching. I was like the, the, the, the little music teacher there and I did that for a year and a half and I was like, this is awful. So I did that and then I would, then I sang with Portland Opera for two years and we're on some break and I was doing a young artist program here in the city and then I met Jasmine Rice. Yeah. I just saw Jasmine last night. Oh really? Oh, really? I think with the Hudson Williams. I don't know anything. Yeah. I saw that. Oh my god. How does Hudson Williams look in person? Gorgeous. He's 25. I'm like, he's the whole 10 years younger though. He's 25. You know, 25. I know. Oh. It's okay. It's okay. It's okay. Yeah. And it's also always on a summer break and this is when just season three of dragers was airing and Jasmine and I we connected over this love for drag race. Yeah. And we were like, should we try to do a drag? So we went to the, this is when they had the big-ass Forever 21 on Times Square and girl, we went on our lunch break and we were shopping like women, honey, just two big men in the women's section. We were like, y'all have this in the 42 years. And then we tried on dresses in Forever 21, went to Mac, got like some Ruby Wool lipstick and like some foundation and literally got in drag and went to the Ritz and saw 4G4 and as we're going to do a show there and from that night on, we were like, oh, we're bit by the bug. We're doing this. And then we started doing, we did pride that year. We walked the entire parade from 50 Second Street down to the West Village in like six hills. It was crazy. That's a gorgeous memory though. Oh, I loved it. I loved it. It was a summer of life. And then. Well, did you and Jasmine know each other from doing opera before? No. That young artist program. The first time we ever met, we just happened to bounce into each other and she's such an amazing singer. Oh, yeah. Both of you are, I think. Oh, I love her voice. Beautifully. Beautifully. But when I started doing drag, I was still working, oh, because I still, I was on summer break and I was working at the Holiday Inn Express at JFK. I had told my boss, I was like, I'm going to be late for pride because I was doing pride. I'm going to be a little late. And I'm like, in my Suzuki Grand Vitara, leaving pride, driving down the BQE. And I was using duct tape to cinch my ways. So I'm in the car, like removing my makeup, trying to take my, my pads and shit all around driving. And I take the duct tape to rip off and I rip off a chunk of my skin, the size of like a sack of jewellery, bro. This is another short film. You guys both have, you guys both have such short films. You guys both have such short films. And I was like, I'm like, oh, my God. I don't think I have to go to work and I get to work. I kind of have drag. Have a suit on. He was like, you're fired. No. You're fired. I got fired. He was such a homophone. That guy, he, he did, he did not like that. He came to that to the job. Fire and bleeding. Fire and bleeding in half drag. When, oh, my God. This is incredible. Yeah. When was, when was Barracuda? Barracuda started, um, so I was like work after that job. I got a job at the Yale Club of New York City, which is a very high brother of the club where it's the Yale UVN Dartmouth. And I was doing that. It was my first like union job. I was making like $30 an hour. I was living a, let me the loco back. So I'm doing that. And then, um, at that point, I was still like going out randomly in New York here and there, going out to a club here, no, no gigs. And then I had picked up like one gig at the Phoenix bar in, in, in, in, in, in a, in a lower side. Oh, my God. Is she still here with us? I think she's still here. I think she is. I think she is. If she is, if she is, if she is, if she is, we haven't seen her. Well, maybe I did like a year and a half, it's no bullet to the Phoenix. I think I might have. Like, isn't this fun again, like, and that like, so he's doing that. He came friends with Bob and Bob was like, Monet, you need to quit your job at the Yale club. I was like, why? He's like, Monet, I think you really have talent to be really great in drag. If you keep on doing half measures, you'll never succeed at anything. Well, come on, Bob. I know. I was like, Carl, I have a union job. Like, I have like benefits. I have health insurance. You dirty drag queens. And you hurt yourselves. You can't pay for your health insurance. I can pay for my kid. You know, I was like, what? And then like, literally two weeks later, I was like, I think he's right, and I just quit my job. Wow. And then I just wore full-time in drag. And then one thing led to another, then I got one gig and two gigs and three gigs and then by a year after I quit that job, I had like seven gigs over like five days and
- It felt like you were the girl very fat. - Remember this is like when we were really out a lot in like our mid to late 20s. - We would go to Seabob, you would host Watch parties. - Yeah, watch parties. - I would come to the Watch parties at the host and I was like, yeah, I was like, oh, our local girls keep like moving up. I would see Alexis, Michelle. - Oh my god, what is that party? - We did a show with Alexis, Michelle, really? - Yeah. - What was the show called? - Drag court. - Drag court. - I was the judge, and I was, I was the bail. - You were the judge. - I was the bail if Ruby Roo was the judge. - Oh my god. - And it was Alexis, Michelle, and who was she? - It was like against like Bible girl I want to say. - Bible girl definitely did the show. - Bible girl did the show. - But my husband was the snuggle for I never spoke. - Those were, God, we were really. - See, that's what I love about those like, I just, I loved all of that shit. - No, no, no, no, we didn't get the fuck what we were doing, we didn't get the one care. Do you know what I mean? - And really no one cared. - No one cared. We were just talking about, we used to do this filthy lip sync dance duo, which was like, we were just like, whores, we just were underwear and like, drew makeup all over our face. And we were called sluck. - Sluck and fuck. - Sluck and fuck. - We were, there would be a month where the entire Google cat was just, okay, sluck. - Sluck and fuck. - Sluck and fuck. - Thursday, Saturday. We were a hit. - Yeah. - And there was one time when we realized like, it was over when we looked out into the crowd, and there was one person. And that was our friend Amanda. - By the binds. - By the binds. - By the binds. - Yeah, yeah. - That's a good girl. - Maybe they said she doesn't know about sluck. - Ritz Brack and I, we did a show together at Hardware Braun Sundays, just going to turn it on Sundays. And like, this is what I think the girls in New York, well, what I've heard is that girls aren't interested in like growing shows anymore, like, they start doing drag and they live in rooms, and they're like, well, my booking fee is $150 and blah, blah, blah, blah, blah. I was like, no, when Brack and I started that show at turn it on Sundays, I'm not kidding. There would be sometimes maybe two people in the audience. And then that drunk lesbian and one guy asleep in the back corner, named RuPaul, just asleep. You're not paying the attention to us, but we did the show, we did our thing, and we grew it and grew it. And by the time we were like, right before we left, because we couldn't do because of drag race, because we were traveling and stuff, we had built a show that people would come out to on Sundays and we like packed the bar out, but I'm like, 100%. - You got to just, you got to work for that shit. - And then when you say like, you like, learn so many things from just being in the room in the same space. - Yes. - Yes. - I didn't like have traditional stand-up comedy, like I was going to the cellar and doing all the like, you know, how Mateo and Nicole and all these people do it. - I have so much respect for what they have done because it is hard. - It's really hard. - Mateo would talk a lot too about being like the only gay guy and like, how tough that was. - You know what I mean? - Yeah. - So I kind of did mine in my own way by just coming up in drag and like performing for two and three people and like doing bits and four years ago my agent was like, hey, comedy dynamics, they want to do special before different queens. I was like, special like, well, he's like, comedy specials, he's like, interesting. I was like, well, I'm not a stand-up comedian. He's like, well, yeah, you are. I was like, I'm not. And he was like, I've gone to your shows. I used to see New York before. I was like, you are a stand-up comedian. You're just not calling yourself that. - Uh-huh. - And I was like, I don't know. He's like, do me a favor. Just sit down for a week, try to write some material, see where you get. And then let's talk after that. So I like, took like a week off of work and I was just at home like writing bits going over material. I was like, okay, think I have like an hour here of comedy. I did a break improv, sold it out, did a really good job. And then this is what I don't love, the next week I recorded a special, which is not what you do. - Oh. - You couldn't have known that. - I didn't know that. So I recorded my first special ever after literally doing the material for literally one week. - Right. - And so it's fine. - Yes. - But now I worked on this new hour for the past few years. - Yes. - This material is so fucking funny. It is at such a good place. I'm so happy if we'll be able to come see it. And like, these comedy clubs, they book me and I come and after a week and they're like, "Wow, that was really good." And I'm like, "What were you expecting?" - Yeah, I know. Like, you're not someone who does the thing where you don't work your fucking house up and just show up. Like, that was an anomaly. - Yeah, I was like, "What are these girls coming when they're doing here at these clubs?" I saw it anyway. But I'm happy that it is working out well, and this new hour is so beautiful. I'm very happy with it. - Yeah. - Our knees jendered. - Yeah. - Because you and Zee would talk about how your feet, you got foot feminization. - Yeah. - You have to pass. - I was, uh, put foot, uh. - Podiatric feminization surgery. - Podiatric, okay. - Why not? - Yeah. - Podiatric feminization. (laughing) - Many times I don't know that. - Tie it up. - I mean, you went to a pediatrist. - I was, well, he's not a pediatrist. Oh, sorry, he is a pediatrist, but my friend who's a surgeon said I should have went to a orthopedic. - orthopedic surgeon. - Okay. - Let's go say a foot doctor or a doctor. - You said Andy has Gargolfi. - Stop it now. - No, Bob says that. - Bob says that. - And he has very beautiful feet, and I posted it on our Patreon and-- - If you posted foot to Patreon. - His foot to Patreon? - Yeah. - We're just concerned, I'm sure. - Yeah, yeah. - No, no. - I stuck a figure. We were, I was like, what? No idea. - He was like, oh, he was posing up next to me like, get out of this room. - But Andy has pretty feet. Let me show you how you say Andy's feet. - Andy is so pretty overall. - Andy is pretty. - I mean, he, like, he is a different man now than he was. - Wow. - Sometimes he pops up on my grid and I'm like, okay. - Yeah, Angie. - Wait, no, he still has some strength. We're trying to beat them out of him, but for the most part, I have-- - For the tendencies. - Like, okay, this also, I recognize that I may have a tinge of OCD. - Yeah. Okay, I think you're probably not alone here. - Okay. - Yeah. - But as game, and I feel like that's kind of a default factory setting. - It's a game power. - It's a game power. - Yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah. And Andy is just late to the game. He just doesn't see these things. So I am conscious. He does this thing. He got a fucking ninja creamy for Christmas. - What is a ninja cream? - Like a mixer. - Yeah, it basically takes-- You can put anything inside of it and it can turn it into an ice cream or a sorbet. - Ninja creamy. - But like with-- - Oh. - I am happy thinking about it. A ninja creamy. - It's so good. It's kind of like a neutral bullet, but like for making ice cream and sorbet. - Yeah, yeah, yeah. - So he does this disdain. He makes all these sorbays. He puts them this thing. He'll pick one out of the freezer, take the lid off, put the lid on the counter, and leave. - No. - And then you just have an dirty ice cream on the counter. I'm like, when literally the sink, this is lid. The sink is right here. I want to just take it and put it in the sink. - One time-- - Yeah, the lid's on the counter. It's real a culture number 20. - Oh, yeah. - The lid's on the counter. - Like one time, I would clean it and then he left at like five o'clock. I walked downstairs and at five or five, there was a dirty lid on the counter. I said, what is this lid doing on the counter? I was like, Andy, get out here right now and wash this lid and put it away. - And does he do it in shame? - Yes. - You watch him. - You just sit there and I'm an avid make the bed every morning. There's nothing better to me than coming back home and just getting in a nice made bed. - I'm sorry. - I'm sorry. - There is no excuse for your bed not to be made. And I will full on go over to friends' homes. And they allow me to come in the home when the bed isn't made. Pill's on the ground. Close on the ground. - Disgusting. - Disgusting. - I don't want to see it. - And I'm judging every time. I'm judging. I am judging you. - Do you talk to me? - I don't talk to you. - Yeah. That's a step too far. - That's a step too far. - Because then you got to straighten that. - Yeah. - It's a whole thing. I don't need the top sheet. - No. - I recently started, well, I was into duvetes. That was a nodded over. Because I wash like every, I try every week. Bless me honest, every two weeks. - Every two is fine. - Every two. And then I'm like, redoing the duvet was like, I was like, it's such a to do. - So now we just have like three different comfortors. We rotate. We vacuum still the ones we're not using. - Yeah, yeah, yeah. - And just use the one that we use. - We're doing duvets. Feels like you're going cave diving. - It's happening. - I still don't know what the good plan of attacking is around that. - You just have to turn it inside out. Line it up. - Do the roll, right? People are nodding. And then take the labia and then put it in. - Yeah. - Yeah. - I could have truly, I get that. But that doesn't mean I'm still-- - It doesn't work in practice. - Like a menace in the sheets underneath. Like, what's going on? - Yeah, it doesn't work in practice. - You gotta pause, but whatever TV show or podcast you're listening to. - Literally to focus on all the biggest on that. - Exactly. - Yeah, I can do it. - I had anxious fits about it. I'm like, I can't do it. So it's like, why? - Yeah, why? - So like little things like that. I'm still like nurse, you know, training. - No, lid on the counter is a big no-no in. All the points you just gained for that proposal, Andy. - Out the window. - Some of them have gone out the window. - You're still up. You're still up. - Andy's always up. - Really, really, really. - Wait, did you do what Bob talked about this? Is he like a fitness influencer now, you think? - He's trying to be, but like, let's take it happen. - He has a full-time job doing his recovery work. I'm like, you don't have time to fitness influence. - I think they work hand in hand. - Well, you know, his whole thing is that, well, you know, I gotta keep going on all these expensive places or things trying to keep up. I'm like, yeah, we'll keep up bitch. - Yeah. - Yeah. - 100. - Get a third job. - You're the one. - What do you got five? - Exactly. - You fucking got five. - I'm just coming out of your ears. (laughing) He's not doing enough. - Oh my God, Lexi. I'm Lexi Juaneo, where two best friends, 22 years apart, but so close at heart. And I'm Lisa de Julio, the old one, which means we have wildly different references, occasionally different opinions, and at this point in my 50s, I've lived it all. - I'm not gonna get any worse than fighting. - That is wild. We're going to talk about dating, relationships, beauty.
Getting older and a little wiser. We're best friends, but we don't always agree. Because you told us how accommodating you are. Obviously, I would do what I think I could do to fight the fight, but there's only so much fight I can fight. Don't lie to me. Don't lie to me. Don't lie to me. Lier. No, this is the first time someone from the show has started up. We love the show. And we said, like, what was it? Probably two years ago, we said it. We came on an episode all brave. And we're like, we'll do it. Ask us to do it. Please, we want to do it. And then they asked, and I don't know about you, but I personally thought about them editing me into a character. I thought about doing reality television for real and earnest. And it made me very uncomfortable. This is a Joel Kembouster says to you. It's like the three of us. He's kind of like influenced us in this way. But it's like, they, you're handing over the edit to them. Do you have no idea what they'll do? Are you over that for your now? Like, do you still have a stand? Yeah, because whatever lies in the reality you have done, I'm like, it really just amplifies who you are. I think both of y'all are actually funny, good, it's nice to be people. I was like, so it is virtually impossible to turn you into some like gargle and monster, but that's not who y'all are. Who sent you here? Who sent you here to get a smile on the dotted line? The people who go on TV and look at gargle. Like Michael Rappavor is a bad person, you know what I'm saying? Because it's like, and I have to say, like, I wonder what you think about this based on the reactions that people are earning now out and about. They feel very strong, but I wonder as someone who reacts to it, how are you feeling with everything has shaken out in terms of the way people are being received the way the game is going? Like, fall outs? Like, where do you sit in all of it? This has come out, what did this come out? This is going to come out, not this Wednesday, but the Wednesday after. Okay, so we can't talk about the reason. But I think that-- Who shot it? Who shot it yesterday? Okay, okay. I think that for the most part, what happened in the castle is what is showing, again, there is so many conversations that happen that you don't know about, right? So some of that you see on TV, like, oh, that happened. I do realize that happened. But for the most part, I think like how people were behaving in the castle are what they did. Like, we all need Coltsman's playing an aggressive game that I mean, and I think the consensus online is that it's a bad strategy. I don't think it's that bad. I think it's just playing hard. It's just playing hard. And I'm like, honestly, I'd rather Colton than a terror, I look at Penske. Terror, what the hell is going on? But you know what? I'm rooting for them. Because in this last episode, it's like, it's like, we're just like talking out there on a table about like, okay, so the truth is, we're best friends. And so for that reason, I know he's not a traitor. Like what? It's just like-- I'm like, oh my god, how brave of terror and Johnny to come out his brain. It's just also so funny too, because other people in the house, you can tell it's split from people being like, yeah, I knew they were best friends. Like, I know the terror of Penske and Johnny, we're think duh. And people that are like, they reveal what are the best friends. And that was the worst thing you ever could've done. Like Mark Ballast being like, they just really signed their death warrant. I'm like, I don't know who I'm rooting for. I guess I'm rooting for Mora Higgins. And for Mora, okay, let's see about Mora. I'm not kidding. This is a fact. She said it in the castle, which she was going to-- Mora had not watched a single episode of the show before we were in the castle. Mora had no idea they were banishments. Mora had no idea people were getting murdered. I think someone's getting murdered tonight. After the first night, she was like, oh, excuse me. I think after the first round table-- I think just a traitor. I think just a traitor. I think-- Oh, I think-- Sorry, here we go. Go, go, go, go, go, go, go, go, go, go, go. Oi, tank, oi, tank. Strins is the traitor. Candace is gone. Sucks and shins. After the-- after the first, she got banished. I'm not kidding. We were all in the-- everyone's really upset. Yes. And we're all in the kitchen. As she goes, it's just going to happen every night. [SCREAMS] And I was like, are you doing a bit? Like, I don't-- Right, right, right. But she has no idea the battleship has happened every day. Yeah. More is the one that's even wearing beautiful clothes. Which she did. And we think she's a stunning individual. Oh, there's some frames of the show where I'm like, what? And that's her in real life. Yeah. Like, more looks like that. Like, she has beautiful gorgeous skin. She wears a little BB cream and a mascara baby. And she's like looking stunning. They should do a watcher pack in for the traitors. Ooh, that'll be good. Like, that will be good. I'm glad Michelle was in there. Well, you know, they reach out to a little birdie. It's funny. They reach out to some people to the show. But a big deterrent is that you have to do your own glam. Oh, but that wasn't an issue for you. No, no, not for me, but for other people. Allegedly, they've asked me to do it. What is doing their own glam? To their own glam. Okay, well, that's crazy town. What? What do you think is going on with her hair? I think they're wig. Thank you. Yeah, yeah, yeah. But the wire goes on threads. More is not where we're. I like you think her hair were from a bob too. No, come on. Moody legs overnight. They're wigs, girl. That one hat she had was pretty genius to all her hats. All her hats. From everything she's wearing is fierce. I will also shout out Candace and Rina both looked incredible all the time. Yeah. I am a little bit like I kind of can't have Tara and Johnny get like voted out immediately because with Candace gone, they are kind of now I'm watching. Why I'm watching. Why are you watching with that? Candace leaving. I'm like, she went out in the voice of Lori. Like I really bought her to go to the end, so we're a Candace house. We're team Candace. Drive back one record of the year at the Cultural Awards. Here's the thing about Candace, right? Did she come for you? So when we had the thing and like Alan, Alan chose to chose to trade his, I was like, in my mind, I was like, I know, I just knew. I just said to myself. I said, I know Colton, Natalie, Jam Jam, Portia and Candace. I was like, those five, those are faithful. I just feel it. I just know that they are. Because in this show, people like, well, you can't trust. I'm like, in that game, if you don't trust people, you have nothing. You have to trust something, right? You have to go with your gun. Exactly. So I trust a Candace, and I said to her in the bar, I brought into the bar. No one was there. I was like, Candace, look. I don't know if you were faithful. never seen him in the turret. I just trust you. I want to go to the end of the game with the issue. Great, great strategy.
She was like, I got you, you said me too. The next day, she when I was in the challenge, I said, well, I think Lisa might be a traitor. - Fuck you, dude. - I said that to her. But the thing is that these little passing conversations, like, you don't think anything of it. It's just literally like a girl, I think Lisa is a traitor. It was literally that quick. - And that could just be-- - And that's the thing that gets you out. So she told Lisa that night. But I think her flaw there was that Candace was not arming herself with enough allies outside of the turret. - It was, the winning strategy for Sarisies and one was that she had so many allies. - Exactly. - And Rob has done that. - Rob has so many allies outside the turret. So he doesn't have to trust Lisa or Candace because he has an entire cast of people that he knows that we'll never write his name down. - Yeah. - And also he has the benefit of being on the right side of two traders votes. I honestly, so this last episode just ended and it's Kristen Kish questioning Eric. And she's like, I feel like there's something we're with Eric and she tells Rob. I'm like, if I'm Rob, I, 'cause they have the option to vote out to murder Kristen. I murder Natalie, let Kristen keep spinning on Eric and then turn around, be like, you're right, it is Eric. And then you vote out three traders that no one allows things to drop. - Yeah, that's a good one. - I think Rob, if he plays this next episode well and will be a little behind in when this releases, has it sewn up. Rob is so sick. - He's excellent, he's excellent. - Well, he was so quiet. I think he was so quiet. And I don't even, I'm not even crazy about wanting to fuck him. - Yeah, that's not even what it's about. - I hear the thing, like, I'm like, Rob is cute. I'm like, but I am not on the one with God. People like, Rob is so hot. Just give me, I'm like, he's cute. - I think he's incredible to look at. I'm not like, whoa, whoa, whoa. - You know what I mean, man, exactly. - Yeah, he is not that famous, but he's, he's a very sweet guy though. He's so sweet and he was so quiet. I was like, I just, is this Alabama or is this just homeschooled? I didn't realize why he just, I was just a full school student. And I was only there for what, five episodes. So, and I, for my time, I thought I trusted him too. I was like, oh, I think Rob is a faithful. - You never, he never crossed your mind. - No, not at all. When they revealed that little digital content afterwards, and I was like, Rob? - I knew Lisa, and I was shocked by Rob and Candace. - Right, I knew Lisa. - Yeah, I knew Lisa. - Her, after that murder and the thing when she told Caroline, no, you won't see me at Bravo Comment. - Oh, yeah, yeah, yeah. - And then next morning we asked her to explain the thing. She was so obviously just picking it out of her ass. - Well, literally. - Just a trait. (laughs) - God, the mask is black. - Black. - Black. - Exactly. So, I was like, girl, like, come on. So, that was when I was like, oh, Lisa's a traitor for sure. - Yeah. - The guy said it to Candace. - And what a gag. - Yeah. - But it was so good though. - It's so good. - So, you got out being right, which must feel good. - Yeah, but no, because you do not get around table. - Of course. - I would rather be around. - Fight for my life. - Yeah, so you can get the drama of-- - Yeah. - Persecuted. - I want to curse everybody out before they, like, you get out of me. I want to fight for myself. - You know, you want a tribal council. - Yeah, exactly. - Exactly. - Yeah, exactly. - You know who had a really good one? Last season, Sierra Miller. Sierra Miller's ass, she was just like, if she went down like a bad bit. - Like, she really, really was good. - Have you guys watched, do you watch Summer House? - No. - Have you watched Summer House? - No, Summer House. - It's a thick season. - Yeah. - And she's on it and she's having an amazing season. Like, she's really good reality to you. - What is the purpose of the Summer House? - Kind of just, you know, we're part in. - Okay, that's it. - You see them go back to the city during the week and they're doing their little day jobs and then it's every weekend they go to the Summer House. - Oh. - Okay, got it. - Wait, so you got to answer the question. So, you're on the fence or you would? - I'm on the fence. I'm on the fence. - You know what? 'Cause I had to say no because I was shooting a movie. - Got it. - I couldn't do it that season. - I just, you know what, I'm not a no. - Okay. - I'm not a no, I'm not a no. - But they've also, also, it would be hard to do it with certain people because the thing is like, if we went in together, I feel like. - Well, that's a Johnny in terraces. - Oh yeah, for sure. But I mean, everyone would know the y'all are best friends. - I know, that's the thing is we would not be able to think like, oh, I'm not talking about it 'cause I don't want them to know. Work very close. (laughing) Like the entire world would know, y'all could not hide that. - No, we can't. - But I think, but I think you're still like, could you imagine Tiffany New York Pollard in this real world? - That's what I've been awaiting for. - What is the big idea? - I think she's every 'cause she's done every season of House of villains. - Yeah. - And they filmed the same time. - See, whoever is managing her in this regard needs to toss the house of, it's no shade to the house of villains, right? - No shade. - But trainers as a bigger show. - Shaders would meet her. - Yes. - It would cause a commotion. - It would be a Tiffany, with Jamma. - Bring Jamma back. - Bring Jamma back. - Jamma and Tiffany. - We always need just one Brit just up in the castle. Bring Jamma College. - Oh, please. I call, what, you have to imagine there is a list with these names on it. - I'm sure. - Like, Neenie Leaks needs to be at the Bronx. - Neenie Leaks. - I've just given us reality TV gold model. I've never seen celebrity apprentices with Neenie Leaks. - Yeah, of course. - Where she was bullying with Victoria Jackson. And one time she's literally standing over her and she's like, she's like, go back at your age, not 12. And then it looks like her and goes, all you have on me is heath. You just have heath. All you have is heath with a TH. - You just have heath. And it was their whole number where Neenie was like, buy ghost. - Buy ghost. - Buy ghost. - She was buy cat for, buy cat for boo. She was saying boo to a ghost, which doesn't really make sense. - Boo. - Boo. - No good. - Neenie was and remains. - And remains. - Remain, remains. - And it made me so happy. It's very much what I do think so honey, to me that they figured it out so that she can come back. Because if you're gonna do retrospectives, and it's within reason, 'cause for some people out there, I don't think it's within reason. But I'm so thrilled that it was within reason for Neenie and Andy to come back together and for people to get what they need so that this can all happen. - 100% which means she's in good grades with peacock, which could be peacocked as straighters. - Yeah, so I'm like cross my fingers and we get Neenie leaks on straighters at some point. - Of course. - But the glam part. - I was just gonna say, - Neenie, I think Neenie is, I'm gonna do my own glam. - Okay, but you don't think an exception could be made. You've been on the inside. - Oh no, they're not. - Let me tell you something, that show, they care so much about the integrity of the game. They do not play. Everything is in secrecy, and they make sure that you are really having the real experience, they don't fuck around. - You can tell. - You can tell because the way you guys are treated like someone's been killed. - Exactly. - Yeah, yeah, yeah. - And like I used to watch a show and be like, these celebrities need to get a live group. No one's really dying, everyone calm down. - Cool, after the portion, I was like, we should have a usage. - Yeah. - I was like, this is really sad. - No, because you believe the reality that you're in and by the way, like they do an amazing job of creating atmosphere, and Alan is so, do you talk about like how it feels to have his theater in those moments? - Yes, so thank you, thank you for saying that. - Alan is really, I mean, he's a theater actor, like Alan, this is Alan's bag. Alan is doing his thing. Alan is, he's so grand and so major, and he's so presentational in everything he does. When you walk into that round table, you walk in there and they play the hanging tree from a- - From the fucking Hunger Games? - From the Hunger Games. - Wow. - 'Cause it sets the mood, it sets the vibe. And you're like, oh shit, we all sit there in silence and we'll listen to the song through. Then Alan comes in, he gives his speech, and they let you go, and you just go. And it's always like, who's gonna talk first? - Yeah. - Who's gonna speak first, 'cause it's like, - It's nerve-racking. - It's nerve-racking. - And then someone breaks a silence, they do it, and we're going at it for like an hour, an hour, and an hour 15. It's a long-ass time, and it's ended down to like 10 minutes. - And how intense does it get like emotionally? Like, do you feel like it's captured on the screen? - Oh no, I think it's, I think, no, I think it feels more in person, like the really intense one when I was there was when Tiffany was getting abandoned. - And I was alone. - That was such a bummer. - Yeah, but it was even more intense. Tiffany was going in, 'cause she was going off for a while, and then people were going back and forth with her, and she was like, listen, I am here for my son. - Yeah, oh. - She was like, I'm sitting a, I'm sitting a, I was sitting an eight year old black with a college in three months. She's like, I'm here for this money, but you know, if I don't think I'm a faithful to send me home, send me the fuck home right now. - Oh, then it was used to, and they're like, oh, man, I do believe her now, but. - Yeah, I know. - We still got to go home, bitch, bye. - So at that point, like, you're still thinking, like, I can't stick my knee down. - Yeah, because I'm like, what? She's just a really good actress. - I know. - I was like, I was like, I had this gutt of feeling that it's her. - You've got to go bitch, bye, bye. - You've got to go, but you know who ruined it? Danielle. - Danielle. - Because she swore on her what? I heard her, on her grand, on her grand son. - On her grand son? - Yeah, but you know what? I think that's their fair game. - I think it's fair game too. - I think if I'm going to break down, bent myself out of shape and swear on my grandson, and I'm lying, and you believe me? I said myself out of shape. I'm not not paying for it. - Right. - I'm the one who did the deal with the devil at that point. - Yeah, I agree. Also, I miss her just over the top, like, hair mess, but still look right. My favorite was, I think, like, it was Torzi and a someone cried and she, someone got a bandage and she's there. The hands are shaking, she's like. - People did way too much on her because it was so fun to watch her do that. - Yeah, it was great. - I'm like, I can also tend to think people are doing too much on everyone because ultimately, at the end of the day, every episode has been so good. And if someone is flopping, that's also part of what makes them good. - Yeah. - That's great. - Yeah. - Celebrity UK Traders, do you watch? - Oh, yeah, I did with Alan Carr. - Alan. - Alan. - It was a great season. I heard the new civilian one is, I heard the best season for the whole world. - I can handle it. - Great. - Great. - Oh yeah. - Your parents are amazing. - Because they, maybe they want that coin. - They want that right. - They want it. - They want it. - And then they, people with the most random job, like the clear of wind, season two. - Oh, yeah, that clear of wind. That's where the point was truly out of there.
this world. But I think season one of Australia, my favorite traders, like season one of Australia, because season two of Australia, it really went off the rails. But season one of Australia. And I think like honestly, every season of UK traders. So yeah, every case great. It's just like I never watched a New Zealand one because I was like, we're in like an Airbnb. What is this? I was like, it's just someone someone summer house. I'm like, this is an eventful or and else, I'm watching. And you're a survivor girlie survivor girlie love you brought you were the first person to bring survivor into drag race. I feel yes, yes, I want to play that game. Yeah, and I did that little, uh, yeah, influencer, I landed this past summer, which was fun. 36 hours. Yes. And I was like, you know what? They're gonna be nice. So it's not gonna be that crazy. Uh, baby, it was the real experience. Wow, we were really out there in that on that beach cold cold, it rained on us from 3 p.m. until like six a.m. the next morning. And I was like, it's surely it's like a health hazard like they can't do this. And they're like, Oh, no, yeah, go sit out here just us and one cameraman on this beach. It was insane. Cool. Would you do the show? Not after the rain. It's hard to be cold. I mean, I wouldn't do it. I think I would though I love survivor so much. Yeah, we get the opportunity to do it. I'm like, you know, what just was was Carpe diem. Yeah. Carpe diem bitch, but not Mike white just getting back from doing his second season. And then came back and full on wrote white load is like, they're casting it and going. I'm like, how do you have the capacity to go do season 50, right? And then come back and fully crank out the biggest show TV and how it's going and like, I don't know, like it'll stop because of that word on the street is it's going to be a really good season. I hope so because you know these, you know, there's a lot of big survivor fans. Yeah, there's a lot of, you know, the fans do not like necessarily like the new era, right? So I'm hoping with bringing back a majority old era players, we get more of that gameplay. It's merging, it's merging all of it, right? It's like, it really is like a beautiful cross section of like the entire history of the show. That feels like. Yeah. Yeah. I mean, they certainly got from season one to season 49, like Miss Jenna from Borneo, the first she's in Jenna Lewis. She's like the biggest veteran. And then obviously Colby is back. I'm still not over that they don't have Jerry, man, beyond that beat Jerry's not back for first big. No, that's not. And even Colby now is doing press being like, I'm not even going to lie like I got there because it's his factual first season without doing it was a villain together. Heroes and villains and the first all stars, yeah, and Australian outback. So he was like, hit the beach for the fourth time. She wasn't there, not going to lie. She deserved to be there. And like, apparently he said in a recent interview, a lot of what they didn't show in season 20 heroes versus villains was Jerry and Colby going off to fish together and actually forming a relationship, a friendship, like just genuinely being like, let's do something together. And he said that their history like actually moved forward. So he said had she been on the beach for 50, I would have been like, let's play together. And how fun would that have been as a fan of the show to have been delicious to watch. One thing I will say about Jeff Probe is that that man, you know, you know, from drag race and other shows, like a lot of times the hosts, they have the air piece in. And they're getting fed stuff at it. Jeff does not refuse us to wear airbags again. He raw dogs the whole thing. He is looking up, talking like getting information on every character when he does those calls, like, so Matt, so you, you worked at a clam shack. How was that supposed to survive? He's like, he knows he's back to a torrid affair explanation. Like, wow, I was vulnerable. He goes into detail on all every and everyone he's doing that from his brain. He's not getting fed by producers. He loves that show so much. When you are learning the challenge, Jeff is running you through the challenge. It's not a, not a challenge producer. Jeff is coming in like running. Okay, you're going to grab the snake and I'm like, he's like so in invented it. Yeah, I was very impressed by that. Yeah. He's an icon. He's an icon. Did you watch Australia versus the world? Yes. Parvati, my girl. Parvati, I thought he knew it was applauding. I actually thought someone left to their feet. I thought someone was like actually knowing the tea, which is that it's that it's it's not. It's so good. She killed that by the way, to see Suri come back and trade her season one and just dominate and then seeing Parvati dominate Australia outback. Don't forget Suri also was dominating up until the very end. Just like she did in Micronesia and Suri is back for survivors. He's in 50 and I am praying. Yeah, that it goes, well, I don't know how it could know because they're going to see her and be like, you got to go. Yeah, she's the reason for it. Girl, she's a threat. She's such good gameplay. And she also like, you know that every fan in the world is going to be on her side. 100% if you do care at all about the edit better to just get her out really quick. So she can't get to the end of it. You read the one looking at Suri at the end being like, sorry, I'm trying to be everyone in the world reading against you. Yeah. The Suri is she's go to she's and I met her a few times a person. She is so sweet. Yeah, she's just a kind mate, just a kind nurse. She was working the hospitals during COVID. Yeah. Yeah, crazy. Yeah. We be remiss not to ask you about Drag Race. I don't know you and Bob are doing the watches, the watch and watchery. What are your thoughts so far? I think the season's going very well. I like it. I like the girls a lot. I like that. The median age is not 21 anymore. We're getting girls in their 30s. Yeah. And yeah, you know, Drag Race is what it is. I think fans who watch Drag Race are expecting something different. I'm like, it's the same producer is the same like what it's the same show. It's comfort viewing it. It's exactly. It's comfort viewing. We know we're going to get a smash game. We know we're going to get designed. It's going to like it just is what it is. Yeah. People get frustrated. Like, why don't they? I'm like, it is this is what it is. Exactly. I'm enjoying it. I can't believe there was a they made Jan's sport. Whittle her name got to Jan because they were a fearing a lawsuit. But they let Sierra miss keeper. Oh, because I guess Sierra mist isn't existing. No, no, it's just anymore. What they don't show us a different. Yeah, it's sorry. It's no more. It's sorry. Yeah. I just answered. I don't know. It's also different to this movie. That's the thing too. Because here I miss was Si. It's actually rule of culture. Number 15. One two steps here. The best. Yeah. I miss stars. My favorite. Me a star. I like her too. I just I like the deans. The deans. Yeah. The deans. Juicy and Athena. Juicy and Athena. I do like Deity because she's a Denver girl. Okay. I think the most memorable thing about the whole thing is watching Discord Adams walk. Of course. Of course. That walk is good. The walk is so good for me. Yeah. And I a lot of people are turning on Jane Donnell, which I like her. Why? Because she's a little perturbed in all of her interviews. She's always like kind of like a mean mugging and like rolling her eyes like these girls. I think people get into vibe like she feels like she's better than the competition, which I mean to be honest, she is very funny. Her runways are incredible. And so she's like killing it. So people always I don't know it's weird. Sometimes people really love like the one that's like shining above everyone like Sasha Colby. Of course. Jigsaw and etc. But then you have someone like Jane who's doing a good job. But people like, no, not her. Yeah. I don't know why. Maybe I just have to do with like the energy that she brings to it. Like that gets reflected back. Yeah. Yeah. I'm a Kenya pleaser fan. Of course. She has nothing more to offer. She has to go home. I think didn't she? No. No. She was saved by the Rita Queen. Yeah. Love Kenya too. But she has nothing else to give. Not great runways. Does it? You don't know how to lip sync. You don't know the words to your own song. Yeah. That's insane to me. In the year of our Lord 2026, you better have to go up there and know the words to your song. At least to your song. You were song of the vocals to a few weeks ago. Like what? That was insane and an unpadded room. Wait. When was the last time you lip sync? Lip sync. Okay. So it had been a while. Yes. But you know, every once a year, I try to do a show at my I used to do my one woman show at Saturdays at Hardware. Just a good old nasty drag. Hard track. Exactly. Hard track show. Me doing an opening number to the gospel truth from Hercules doing like three or four lip sync numbers. We didn't do the drag suicide at the end. So I did that like two weeks ago at Hardware. And it was I was the drag. Who was I go? Oh, it was great. It was great. It was so good. And I will never ever not want to do a show like that. Like it's not like I don't really get to do shows like that ever coming back once again in New York and just doing it. The bar was packed up to the front door. And it was just a great time. I had a great time. We need to bring back those times. It's bumming me out to know that so much happens online. Like I mean like all community driven activities, whether it's like watching drag, going to see comedy, etc. It's just you have to be in room. You really do. You have to learn from each other what feels good. I agree with that. I really think it's important. And I think I get really bummed out maybe because it's this time of year, it's very cool. We all feel extra inside. And so I think we're extra on our phones. But especially with everything going on the way it's been going on. Like it's all very isolating. And just to like hear you were out there doing a show, like, I don't know. We have to be in rooms. Oh, no, for sure. It was great. The energy was dope. And then afterwards I like ran back to my hotel. I changed. And I went to go see Fred again. I did Molly until like four o'clock. Yeah, Fred again. So good. Was that that new venue in Queens? It's like a studio. It's like a sound stage they make into a performance hall. Wait, are you a poor cellar person? I've never been and I got Joe's muscle y'all there of you know what? Come with us. I he had never been till last year. He got obsessed with it. I've been going three years in a row. I did not think I was going to be this kind of person either. You really can figure out your arms at it. Yes, I understand. I was I was you.
I'm just like, everyone who describes Coachella and they make this song like it's such a to do like they make it something is like burning man, you have to like there is so much good real music though, like once you get over the logistics bullshit, which there is a lot of once you're like and you're like, this is great truly genuinely like wonderful, like you gotta see something special. It is your cynicism in a way that you're like, oh look, there's like sure like I'm on a little bit of shrooms. But like there's like a kid there like dancing in yoga, but it's sweet. Okay, you said this isn't and I heard synesthesia like, wait, you can see color. Literally, I'll never forget like it was two years ago, like there was a day that was just really, really, really like hot. Like I walked by and there was this young singer singing this song called the hardest part and it was Olivia Dean. And I was like, remember her. Oh, I was like, you can see and we saw Victoria Monet. And that show was sick. This was after she had one best new artist and stuff. So she was kind of popping off. But Chapel Rhone, the show that made her launch like we were watching. Oh, it's Coachella. Yes, you can see some really cool stuff about a year, two years in advance at Coachella, like during the day at those smaller tents. Like I really like just seeing who's around just going where there is energy. Like some people will just we're all going to go see this and it will be someone I've never fucking heard of. I'll go there and be like, oh, I feel like I was able to catch a vibe there again. It's being in rooms. These are all outdoor tents. That's why I like it. Okay, maybe I'll try this year then. Well, who's headline? Do we know who's I would remember Carol G. Justin Bieber. Okay. Yeah. So I have a cat eyes thrown in there. It's a good variety. Okay. Yeah. Yeah. The only festival ever been to was ACL. Yeah. Oh, city limits. I always get jealous. They always have great. It was great. I was like, Oh, I met her. I was like on my flight. I was like leaving L.A. to fly to Austin. Just go see her. Love my girl. It was before SOS that came out. So it was after control. But she had had some singles like whatever. And then so I'm like, I'm on my flight. I got I was I was sitting in seat one B. And I'm like sitting there just on my phone. It was they had the good Wi-Fi. Yeah. Someone Instagram look at that stories. And then I get to her stories randomly. I'm like, oh, I was like, she's yeah. Wait, that's like a dog. I was like, I saw someone with the outfit on. Bitch, I look back and she is in seat three C on the eye. Like two C's behind me. And I was like, Oh my gosh. So I text padding. I said, I was like, Patty. Patty. This is on my flight. And he's like, go see how I was like, look, it's a hide or her. You talk to me. I was like, No, I'm not doing a girl. That's the one. No, I'm not going to do that. So we land. I get off the jet bridge. I was like, you know what? We hit the end of the jet bridge by the ticket counter. Let me just say hi. So she comes off and then I go, Hey, I don't want to bother you. I'm coming here to AC. I'm in his Monet. I'm a huge fan of yours. I'm so excited to see this weekend. She was like, main my team knew that was you. She was like, we love you. I was like, I love you. Of course she knew. I was like, why was she know that? I was I was so gagged. I was like, I'm a huge fan. I was like, I'm just so excited to see you. She's like, well, do you have tickets? I was like, yeah, I'm tickets already. She's like, well, take my sister's number. And she will like make sure that you guys have a nice private space to watch it. And I was like, okay, great. To get the number. And then I leave to go to baggage claim. I went in for my bag. Her and her sister walked over to me. She's like, just so you know who you text. And this is my assistant here. And then we're talking about like being both from the East Coast. Because she's from Jersey. I was like, I'm from New York. Because I didn't want it to get awkward. I was like, oh, I got myself now. I'll leave. Didn't have my bags. But I just didn't want to say anything weird. So I just like dipped out, waited for her to get her bags. Yeah. Back to get my back. No. I didn't want to. I was like, let me just leave it. I don't want it to be weird. Sometimes it's like, it's like when you reach a point where you're like, I can only mess this up now. Exactly. That was the energy. Let me walk away. And just wait till she leaves and then get my shirt. But she was literally the nicest. So nice. You get that vibe from her. Like so sweet. So sweet. Bowen has such a funny interaction. Oh, I just, I just went up to her when she was at SNL. This was like right before SOS came out. And I was like, you are. We did promo. So you got the bikiki. I was there when they first met. Oh, I was there and I was like, I looked at her. I've said this in control. I was like, you are our generation's Joni Mitchell. And then she went, she went wide and she was like, oh, you like me. I don't really like me. That is so accurate though. Yeah, it is. It's, it's her. Yeah, it's her. It's her. It's her. It's her. Yeah, it's so good. Everyone just like, you know, celebrates the pens. Elebrates the pens. Elebrates the pen. Her voice is so easy. A hundred percent. Like her voice is so easy. She's so musical. She's always like, it's just like her voice is in her brain. Yes. It's like, you feel her thoughts as she sings. She's literally a thoughtful singer. I say the same thing about like Sarah Burrell sometimes where it's like, I feel like they're, you hear how smart they are in their voice. I agree. You can tell that when she writes like sometimes like people are like, right. They will like get the track and they're writing to the track. You can tell. Sissa is, she goes home, she does her journaling and she's taking her stories and just like, sometimes free styling it to be and just finding what works. Yeah. I feel like she's a, she's a singer that writes like a rapper. Yeah. And I'm obsessed with her, whatever her process is. I'm obsessed with how she's able to fit these fucking soliloquies. Yeah. Into like this, like, verse chords, pre-hook, whatever. It's dope. She's the best. All right. Lisa, we should tell them about our new show. Oh my god, Lexi. I'm Lexi, you want to wear two best friends, 22 years apart, but so close at heart. And I'm Lisa Giulio, the old one, which means we have wildly different references, occasionally different opinions. I'm not gonna get any of your fighting. That is wild. If men were just honest about this, there would be so much more peace in the world. We're going to talk about dating, relationships, beauty, getting older, and a little wiser. Don't lie to me. Don't lie to me. Don't lie to me. Don't lie to me. Lier. I don't really care. Angel Jaretana. Jeremy Colhane, Cash McDonald. And we're the hosts of the artist on artist on artist podcast. So we don't like to use that word anymore. Okay. A panel of New Yorker cartoonists. No! I've been dying too! I'm so sorry. I'm seeing a reading of Sudako in the Thousand Paper Cranes by Auderman Donalds at the Wonderland bookstore, 14. That's crazy. I went to the Wonderland bookstore yesterday and I heard Nora Jones do a reading of Zero Dark Thirty. No way! I hear you get the elbows here, the eyelashes hit each other. You've never seen Italy so quiet as when the Pope gets up to wink on Halloween. Listen to artists on artists on artists on the iHeard Radio app, Apple Podcasts, or wherever you get your podcasts. (upbeat music) - Okay, I think it might be time. - It's time. - It's time for Adamic Sonny. - So this is, of course, that moment, when there are three moments each a minute in length, and they all are, and I don't think Sonny, a little tantrum on culture. I have something, it's in a live experience. - Okay, this is Matt Rogers. - Okay. - Sonny, his time starts now. - I don't think so, honey, Melatonin. You are demonic. You are diabolical. You're devilish. I wake up in the morning, it's depression. A fourth D. Didn't even mean to do that. I honestly, I have had the most vivid dreams after taking these pills. Also, I also been on my super show. They've been like interacting. I think I'm waking up, and I don't know what's real. I had a dream that we rode a whole film years ago. We rode a whole film, and it was getting success at the Sundance Film Festival, and I was like, "I don't think we rode a film." And they were like, "No, you did. You just don't remember it." And I was like, "What?" And they were like, "You're getting acclaimed at Sundance." And I woke up, and I thought for about 15 minutes, like, "Bone, and I have a film at Sundance." - 15 seconds. - Because I took two, three milagam, Miguel milagam, gummies of Melatonin. And I'm depressed for six hours, because I think I'm losing my mind. - One second. It's also depression. I, Melatonin, no, you take, you don't give. And that's one minute. You take, you don't give. - You take. - And it's not my first time being in like sort of a moment of not feeling great. And then Melatonin, you take it to help you sleep, and you wake up and things are worse. - Things are worse. - I think Melatonin is a deal with the devil. - I think so. - But you can make it, like, do it and read. - You can make it, do it and read. If it still exists. - The veil was so thin between the world of the dream where we had written a Sundance movie. But you and the dream were like, you guys are gaslighting me, we don't have a movie. - I literally was telling them in the dream. I was like, we didn't do this. They were like, you did. You are getting acclaim. You wrote and directed this film together. And I was trying to give it to him and he was directed. - Directed. - No, it was like, it was like an otter moment. And we were having our otter moment at the Sundance film festival. - I swear to God, I lived. - It was. - And I woke up and I was like, I can't believe that this thing we did from college or something, 'cause I started to really believe it. Like, I can't believe whatever I can claim. And this one is film festival, which by the way, passed. - Pass what? - This is way past. The Sundance film festival is now. - Oh yeah. - Yeah, yeah. - This happened last week while I was in Milan because I don't know where I am. We've been traveling and taking drugs. - Drugs. - Because someone just told me James Cameron had a dream in middle school that was Avatar. - Oh my God. - And then he made, is this true? - How do we know that's true? - We know that's true. - Illustration from high school. - Really? - See, this is what the straight guys behind the camera know. They know that James Cameron had Avatar illustrations. - James Cameron is so rich that he invents new technology for every movie that is. I watched those ridiculous, when they have like a sponge and like some mop bristles on their heads. - He's like, hey, hey, I'm a film guy. Do you guys want to know how I think we can go to the bottom of the ocean? - And they have to invent new technology for his movies. It's insane. - That's fantastic. - Has anyone seen Fire and Ash yet? - Yes. - You have? - I did. Did y'all see it? - No. - We're like Avatar Hive. We really do appreciate the French. - I love Avatar. - In this last one, they really sent her a spider. And I'm like, okay. - They really sent her a spider? - It's like spider, really? - Oh, oh, oh. - See, I forgot the kid's name was Spider. - Oh, yes, yes, yes. I know that she was giving everything, though. - Oh, who, which the villain? - Oh, yeah, she was great. She was so good. - Yeah, I was called her Miss Contress. Because I feel like that's a spiritual student. - Contress. - Contress. - Exactly. Hunter, Hunter, Contress. - Hunter, Contress. - No, she is, the villain she is, she's amazing. I love her. Her acting and just, oh, it's so good. - She's doing well. - Everything. - Okay. I'm watching, that's an edible arrangement. I'm telling you, I'm seeing weathering heights, I'm seeing avatars fire in ash, I'm seeing the moment, and then I'm surely passing the fuck out triple feature. - Okay, Bowen Yang, do you have such a topic? - I do. - Okay. This is Bowen Yang's, I don't think so, honey, and his time starts now. - I don't think so, honey, orthodontics, orthodonture, I think the desire for straight teeth is like a sham, right? Like if I had fucked up teeth, I think I would be a more interesting person. I think straightening my teeth has taken texture away from my personality. I would have had to overcome more if I had a gap tooth. If I, I think orthodonture is maybe the beginnings of a body dysmorphia that is permissible, I don't think it's a gender dysphoria. - 30 seconds. - A body dysmorphia where you're like, something's wrong with me, I have to correct it, rather than accepting it. Now, I just came from the dermatologist, and I think that is also, I would not be as eager to go there and get a laser beam to my face. If I did not suffer as a teenager in a formative time in my life, to let someone poke around in my mouth and put metal and rubber bands in it to give society permission to mess with this, what is already maybe just fine to begin with. - And that is one minute, first of all, you glow shimmer and more, and second of all, let me see it to you. - You have great teeth and great skin. - I'd assign me baby tooth. - What does that mean? - I talked to more about that. - And it was one tooth that rooted as the one and then branched off into two. - Siamese? - Oh wow, it's probably not that big. - That is cool. - It's not the woke thing to say, probably. - I feel like. - To the Siamese population, we really-- - I had a conjoined tooth. And I, I, we stand with the Siamese. - We stand with the Siamese. - And that would be a conversation starter for people. - That would be a pretty good word. - And now, I just, I don't know. I feel like, I feel like I should have just left this alone, you know what I mean? - You, you, you, you, you, you are perfect to you. - Or perfect to you. - Well, you know, I wanted to get veneers. - No, don't, don't do it. - So, no, so this was, this was after this align. - Yes. - I was in this city. I had my lesbian doctor. The shot was a doctor, Harrison. I loved Dr. Harris. - Super son of a lesbian. - That's me. - Do you just say doctor? - Do yeah, doctor. - A doctor. - And then I went to her and I was like, I want to get veneers, she's like, no, you're not. This is a line and you'll be fine, trust me. And I am happy I got him this line, not, not, not, there you go. - I mean, they look, they're, they're glowing in the dark. Remember that song? - Yeah. - That was like a song for like us that I can't. - Well, you know, teeth like health is genetic. - Is it? - Because my first, like up until I was like, I don't know if that's like, flossing like I should as an adult until I was like 22. I will like go to an eat late and not, but it's because like, a lot of it is just genetically, like, it just, I didn't have to work very hard to maintain my teeth. I think my teeth are gaining space. Like, I think my teeth are starting to run away. Like, I look at my teeth and I'm like, there's more space between these mother fuckers than I know there was. And I'm going to get to the bottom of it. It's a knives out mystery in my mouth. Social distancing is over. - Social distancing. - Was it for sure that said, your titties are social distancing? - That's really important. - Yeah, she did. She said to someone that their titties were social distancing. And I forget to whom and when it happened. - Atlanta during COVID, I think was doing better than other franchises. - During COVID, yes. - I was fucking love Portia Williams. - There's a lot of time to spend time with her. - Bigger icon. - I am obsessed with her. She's so funny. She's so sweet. - She was gone right away. - I was so mad. When I saw Portia with her, I was like, yeah, I get to play with Portia Williams obsessed. Portia can do no wrong for me. And her ass is insane in real life. Of course. - It's a literal show. - Wait, did people pick up on something like TikTok or anything? Like, I think the her round table where she got banished, some I think it was more like literally said, who said that? Like someone said who said that at Portia's round table. - Oh, right. - Is that it? - No, go back, run it back. Go back and watch. - And there's no way more I knew the reference. - No, they didn't know the reference. - Someone said that. - Who said that? - Oh my God. - So I got it. - Funny. - Watch it. - Or show it. - And show beyond the reunion too. I think this thing that this road trip that they just did. - Oh yeah. - I'll throw a roll strip. - Have you been watching Potomac this year? - You know, I never watched Potomac. - It's good. - I've heard it's good. I've never watched it though. - It was by far our favorite. Then something didn't happen. It just got a little weird. And then it's had a really good season. - Okay, go go back. - Salt Lake City Potomac. Those are franchises that went there on. I'm really in and usually Beverly Hills, but just kind of lost me this year. I don't want to lie. - At least the word is not on Beverly Hills anymore. - No, she hasn't been for a few years. - Okay, but on her last season, she was like a villain on it, apparently. - Yes, deeply. - Yeah, yeah. - She was deeply villainized on her last season. And I really think she was having like a very hard personal time. - Okay. - She was morning. - She was, yeah, she was grieving. - Their whole story, a lot of the storyline this year on Beverly Hills in the beginning anyway. And then it has come up a bunch is that Garsell left. Like they can't seem to stop talking about it. Like they're running in circles about why Garsell left. I'm like, she left because she didn't like you guys. - Yeah, she was over it. - Like she was over, this was a job. - Yeah. - I was like, she was, she was done. - Yeah. - Being on this cat. - Yeah, which is all bitches. - Yeah, and they just can't arrive there. - No, yeah. - That's gonna make me sit on the river in five minutes. - Well, maybe it was because we did it. I was like, she didn't like you. - Yeah. - I mean, I'm gonna leave the podcast. - No, I'm on. - Come on. - I'm on. Okay, you ready? This is the moment. - I am ready. - Okay.
This is money exchanges, I don't think so any more time starts now I don't think so honey about people show me pictures of their children Okay, the other day I had the privilege of being being in the Delta one What privilege and I was trying to enjoy my sausage Porverage as woman comes over to me. She's like oh my god. Are you more next chance? I guess I am and she's telling me she's talking to me She's like, you know, I love drag it you guys really helped me out with my pregnancy. Thank you so much for your hard work Beautiful. I love that so do you mind if I show you a picture of my of my of my job of my daughter Which I said sure She pulls out a picture and season 10 was 10 you about eight years ago I'm expecting to see at least a college age student She pulls out a picture of a baby. I'm telling y'all one straight out the pussy Okay, you know when it's still wrinkly the eyes are still closed. It's still covered in chlorophyll Yeah, I could not wet 15 seconds So I was like I don't need to be accosted by a picture of a newborn baby at six o'clock in the morning in a Delta lounge Where I'm going to be eating bacon sausage egg and cheese not I don't think so many seconds Keep your children pictures to yourselves and only under my permission if I ask then you show me until then don't do it And that's one and that's one minute. Yeah, you're never gonna ask to see if I will not I will never do that. Especially not right not Rare baby Baby sir This baby is me be a rare and like you just gave birth to Lord Voldemort Okay, you have to choose listen baby. You have to chill covered in chlorophyll Or whatever the stuff is on it. I don't know. I see it. I just wow Yeah, the latest thing in the morning should be the egg sandwich exactly not the baby and I had to look at this thing I had to pretend to be like oh my god. That's so nice. Thank you And so she was basically saying that she was watching season 10 super Eight years after or seven years after it aired. You know, no, she was watching it in real time when she was watching She was watching she's having a hard pregnancy and watching drag race really helped her out I see I see and I guess you show me a picture of the baby When the baby was born right right, but I don't know why I wouldn't see a part of it a picture Like what is Cynthia doing now? What do you need to know what she's grown into? Yeah, what is she going into? Ten was eight years ago. I know that crazy. What is time? Honestly? I think my favorite seasons were nine and ten Like really have all drag race six six eight nine ten. What is it? What for? The thing is I like when it got a little bigger - I feel like I I loved when it was like Trust me like those were the golden age years definitely like five six. Yeah, like eight was like truly like when it got big It felt like for community reasons and then nine ten It did have the mainstream moment that I think I really liked watching Like the pinnacle of drag race for me will always and forever be I was a finale of nine I mean it was and the last few episodes of nine like Just yeah, yeah, yeah, a true neck and neck and then Sasha coming out of nowhere And yeah, like any time a season of reality show a reality show ends at its climax. Yeah, that's good Yeah, it's great and also like all those like earliest seasons were on low-go Those were like the dark days of drag race. They paid those bitches with and they were showing they were really being Me and nasty. Yeah, they were really being broke down. Yeah, they were broken down and Also, like you think back like the early seasons y'all season two of drag race They wasn't even lace fronts. They all hard at a hard front. They was not literally not a single lace front was on the show Wow, the first lace front to ever be on drag race was Manila and season three. What? Yeah, Manila. That's historical fact It is historical facts He's a first lace one and all back then they were all wearing Charlotte Roos and wet steel like that's what And now these bitches are wearing like custom with two or valentina on the way and I was like great great, you know Seriano could be making the whole collection Also, y'all see the Seriano runway show where a cocoa show is wearing a beautiful gown and Leslie Jones is like come on In like Yeah, just screaming I was like Leslie Jones. I love her. She's all the John. This was so fun. Yeah Happy birthday. Thank you. I know I don't want to do my birthday. I'm not a big birthday person. He neither Yeah, you're cancer Scorpio Scorpio. Hi, she's true. Well, here's the thing. I did not know Scorpio's were cancers until I mean On water signs until like a year ago Scorpion gives very on fire or land Water we're dripping. Yeah, you're dripping. We are all what assigns. Yeah, we really is a water is a Scorpio's Exactly. Yeah, well, I mean that was what was so special about it was seeing it It was nominated for best five hands down at the culture awards She did her wet ass SOS show on Pisces season on my birthday when I was Crying.
