Private School Blues

The transcript blends multiple segments, from a promotional car-buying experience with Carvana to deep discussions on parenting, education, and free speech. In one segment, the host critiques the overreaction to Ed Sheeran’s tour situation, arguing that powerful institutions like stadium owners—not individuals—should be the focus of criticism for silencing free expression. The conversation expands to include how social media amplifies personal attacks while ignoring structural issues. Another major theme is the role of parents in education, with insights on how PTA meetings can feel like performative events, and how parents often feel helpless or like flight attendants in the face of school demands. The discussion also touches on teaching children through exploration rather than pressure, emphasizing that passions emerge through freedom to try. A critical point is that phrases like “free Palestine” carry diverse meanings, and canceling individuals for misinterpretations is unjust. The segment also critiques the overvaluation of private schools and suggests that public education, when properly supported, can foster emotional and social development. Ultimately, the core message centers on context, empathy, and accountability: instead of blaming individuals, society should address systemic power imbalances and foster open dialogue to promote understanding and freedom of expression.

We had to take the week off last week. Yeah, sorry about that, guys. Schedules got crazy. The day we were supposed to tape, I forgot I had parent-teacher time. PTA, man. Listen, man. PTA. It's that time of year, baby, when you are a dad, okay? You got kids in college. You got kids in, you know, private schools. Salute to the cold-headed Joe. You got kids in private schools. You know what I mean? You know, I had to go to a private, I had to go to a PTA meeting. Parent-teacher meeting. Yeah. How was it? You know, it's so crazy. I feel like, because I'm always there with my wife, I feel like I don't even have to pay attention. Like, you know what I'm saying? She got it. This is what we do, and it's badness. Why our wives hate us? She got it. We know how dedicated they are to the kids, so we really just get to, like, be the co-pilot on the plane. Like, there's the main pilot. We're not even a co-pilot. We're really, like, the flight attendants. We're not even, are we even that? I guess now maybe the flight attendant, you know what I'm saying? We might not even be that, bro. I go in there, I started doing dumb shit, like, like, playing with my four-year-old, like, the toys she played with in the classroom. Like, they had this, like, Mr. Potato Head Spider-Man. So I took a picture with it. You know what I'm saying? Like, that's the type of stuff I'm thinking about. Like, she's going to see me playing with the Spider-Man and be, like, she's going to laugh because this is her thing that she likes to play with. The teacher was like, she loves to play with that. Oh, yeah, she loves Spider-Man. And the moms love the kids more than they're annoyed at us. So the only way to do that, bro, I don't think they, I think they want us to lock in. Lock in on what? The thing they're locked in on. You know what's so funny? You're absolutely right. I don't even be paying attention to no day. They should be locked in. I just know the teacher be going. You know what they treat it like? What? Like, you ever take your wife to, like, a basketball game? Mm-hmm. And they're, like, kind of paying attention to it? That's how we are at a PTA, maybe. Now. Like, you're there. That's right. Until something happens. Like, there was one teacher. Yeah. Salute to her. I don't, you know, I'm not going to say her name, but salute to her. What grade are we talking here? This was, this is my, this is my seven-year-old. So this is third grade. All right, so it's starting to get real. And I'm sitting there, you know, you, I don't know. If you don't want to grab your phone because you don't look like you're out completely. So you're just like this, whatever, whatever. And then she's like, social, emotional learning. You're like, oh. That's me. And she starts talking about mindfulness and meditation. So then I start paying attention to my surroundings. Yeah. And I'm looking around. Yeah. And I'm like, oh, she got a mindfulness classroom. Like, she got, you know, meditation Mondays and this on Tuesday. Like, she's really into social, emotional learning and mindfulness. So now she got my, she's piqued my interest. Yeah. So now I'm really paying attention to her. And then, you know, afterwards. I have a conversation with her and, you know, invite her to the Mental Wealth Expo happening on October 10th. Like, that's the type of stuff. Other than that, yo, you got to find something to hook the parents. That's crazy. What? You're literally talking about your daughter and you're like, man, this shit boring as hell. Oh, you guys depressed too? No. Y'all got some depression over here? No. Oh, some mental issues? Yeah. Come to the Expo. Because this is what I want teachers to do. I want them to implement social, emotional learning. But they have been. You just haven't been paying attention. No, that's not true. That's not true. Listen, I'm there too, bro. It's all good. That's not true. I dropped my daughter off today, man. It sounded like an insane asylum. Crazy. Oh, my God. Arkham. You see what the fuck I'm saying? These are three-year-olds. Jesus. Oh, my God. Walking the door. Don't leave me! Kids screaming, crying. You really start going like, what are we bringing our kids to? Like, they don't know what school is, bro. You don't understand. You don't understand how psychotic school is. It's crazy. We take our most precious possessions, our souls outside of our body, drop them off with complete strangers for eight hours a day and just walk away like it's nothing. And just go on about our daily routine like it's okay. And the only reason we do it is because most of the teachers are women. Bro. Ain't no way in hell you dropping your three-year-old child off at a school full of men. I don't trust the women either. But you trust them more. I don't know about that. Well, you did it. I trust teachers. I trust, and this is completely wrong, I trust the person. All male teachers? You're not getting my kid. No, no, no, no. I'm saying I trust the teacher that decided, hey, what I want to do for the rest of my life is serve these kids. Because they don't make a lot of money. Right. You've got to be doing it for the love. Love of the game. So, the other thing I think about is the fact that it's me, it's my wife, it's these four kids. Right? Imagine being one adult. In a room with 20 of them. Why don't we pay teachers six-figure salaries, bro? Tax-free! Teachers shouldn't even have to pay taxes, bro. I'm not even lying. Teachers should be making six figures a year and shouldn't even have to pay taxes, yo. I'm with you. For the best healthcare, everything. That's communism, man. You don't want that. That's dangerous. We're going to turn into the evil empire. No, you know what they should do? It should be. They get. Salaries dependent on their skill. So, if you're a fire teacher and all your students end up going to great schools and getting amazing grades, etc. Like, you should be able to negotiate your salary. But if you're a bench-warming-ass teacher, which we've all had, we like to pretend like every teacher is amazing. What's wrong with that, though? Just look at them as glorified nannies, glorified babysitters. But they get that salary, then. But that only works if the schools have the same resources. Yeah, that's true. Yeah, but right now we're operating hypothetical. We're talking about paying teachers $600. You get your kids. You get your kid from your 11th grade English class into an Ivy League. Shit. You get $10 million a year. Like, whatever it is, anybody will pay that. That's the. And you've got to be careful with this. That's what you think you're getting at private school. And a lot of those teachers are cruising. They're on cruise control, man. Can I just ask you a question here? First of all, private school that my kids go to, they got like a 90% rate of kids going to, like, great schools. They better. Yeah. You're paying a lot of money for it. You go to college. Yes. Those star professors that are NYU. At NYU? Oh, shit. They're getting paid crazy money. They're not doing that just for the love of the game. Right. So, because they understand that it's an attraction that people want to go to school because they're there. Now, I don't want to apply, like, these laws to school. We're obviously having a hypothetical, ridiculous conversation, like, pay teachers more and make sure they feel secure, blah, blah, blah. Now, let's get back into silly. There is something to it. Like, I remember I had formative teachers in my life where, like, what they taught me, I haven't forgotten. Now, they made me feel confidence with math. They made me feel confidence with U.S. history, these types of things. I don't remember shit. But I had those. If you're telling me they're up for a contract renewal and they can negotiate no matter where they go? I remember what my second grade teacher's panties looked like. What color? White when they were white. But the way she used to sit at her desk, yo, we used to live for that. Any stains on them? Nah, nah, nah. It was. I mean, that was a young kid in second grade's dream. Hmm. Miss ****, baby. Leap to the side with it. She was buying with it. Because we were in second grade. You know, you're sitting there. She's sitting there. I don't know why. I guess if we were kids, she didn't think she had to cross her legs and stuff. Like, wow. I don't remember what she taught, though. What she taught? I have no idea. Yeah. I don't remember nothing. The private school my kids go to has over 40 to 50 percent of students enrolling in their first choice school via early decision or early action. That's what they're good at? Look, I only have my experience, but it was at one of the top private schools in New York City. Supposed to be one of the best in the country. They mailed in everything else. Yeah. They get them into the colleges, but they're not teaching them. My daughter, who's at a public high school in New York City, superior education. It's not even close. What was Nicole Hannah-Jones' piece about? I haven't gotten a chance to read it. I love Nicole Hannah-Jones. I love her writing. What was her piece about? I read it. I'll try to summarize it. I might get some of it wrong. But essentially, when she's in Brooklyn, I believe she and her husband and her daughter are in Bed-Stuy, and she made a conscious decision. I'm not going to try to get my kid into it. It's definitely a private school, but not only just a private school, but one of the, quote, better, more diverse public schools. I'm going to try to send my kid to an all-black elementary school, middle school, and probably high school as well, because that's the only way you're going to help these schools, right? Is if families like ours that have money and resources and connections make the choice that we're going to send our kid to this school and then give money to the school, work with the administration, with the PTA, and if enough people like us do it, it'll change the trajectory for blacks students and it's very specifically this article about black students too in new york city interesting because i never thought about giving money to a public school oh you got to oh that's the game i never thought about it i mean i never i never knew but but the article so she had written one article when i believe her daughter was in kindergarten and for context uh she also wrote or was the the lead writer for the 1619 project which became a controversial uh document or series i don't know why it was just history i know but it kind of got targeted yep by people who don't want that taught in schools regardless just for context so what this article she wrote a article when the daughter was going to kindergarten about what she was going to do and now the daughter's in high school and the new article is basically the daughter saying hey i got a shitty education damn we got money we have resources we know everybody and you sent me to shitty schools my entire life and i don't feel like i got a fair education wow so it's kind of her coming to terms with that and saying did i fail on both of my goals okay see i didn't read it just so i just thought it was a public school private school debate um and you know my mom she taught at public schools in south carolina her whole career so my mom is really big on public schools i'm big on public schools depending where you are you know what i'm saying because to your point chris if you live in certain uh zip codes the public schools are even top-notch right because people pay a premium to move to a public school and they're going to pay a premium to move to a public school and they're going to pay a premium to move to a public school and they're going to pay a premium to move to a public school and they're going to pay a premium to move to a public school and they're going to pay a premium to move to a public school and they're going to pay a premium to move to a public school and they're going to pay a premium to move into yes so the public schools even in my area are top-notch the only reason i enrolled my kids into this private school not because i think private school is you know inherently better it's just a really good school you know what i'm saying like when you go do a tour of it and you talk to the teachers and you see that all of this all the curriculum that they have like they don't have they don't have curriculum like math of course they got math and they got a selfish but they have other things and they sell well they teach you financial literacy you know what i mean stuff like that they got media rooms they just got a lot of different things for the kids to do to do every different private school has their own identity and the thing that they're going to sell you on there's a private school who you know and say they're like teaches you how your kids how to be gentlemen it's an all-boys school and the whole idea is like when they're young from kindergarten to like i think it's like eighth grade or something like that it's like they're wearing a a shirt and tie every single day they're teaching you etiquette they're teaching responsibility and like you know hey sailor gang speaking of moms speaking of mothers but my um so the point the point i'm trying to say is like these schools part of what they're doing is selling the parents on the the experience for the kids and a lot of them do offer a great experience i never went to private school so i can't speak on it yeah i went to public school in the city i was zoned in a place where there were good public schools so i've benefited from that for sure but like there was a difference between not only the i can't say the education but there's a difference on like the focus and success like i went to a small public school which was a small public school and i went to a private school which was like competitive i didn't get there for grades but most of the other kids did and like most of us were like we got to go to college i have friends that went to public school in the city it was like that wasn't expected of you everyone that i knew that went to private school it was expected you were going to go to not only to college top college to a top college that wasn't a combo with us like there was no conversation of ivy league with us my oldest daughter went to public school you know graduated from public school but it's a great public it's great a public high school in jersey what i would say is that it's a great public high school in the zip code what i will say in new york city like and again i'm gonna have to cross this bridge when i get there but like one thing that i felt like i got experienced new york city was actual new york city and i feel like a lot of my private school friends they experience a very like version of new york city which is new york but it's a basically upper east side west side bubble what's wrong with the bubble man bubble me baby bubble not me man i get it because that's where it but what what i would say is that like it has been such a great advantage for me in life not to exist in that bubble that's only because you're a comedian no no no like and you got education is not just about grades right education i don't feel uncomfortable pretty much any you can go anywhere like i've written it's very hard for me to just because your bubble lets you know your bubble don't make you feel like it's no danger bubble me if i imagine being in a bubble and not having to deal with you know the the anxieties that they teach you about the world you know what i'm saying like you're in this bubble you're existing in this bubble you've created a safe space when you go out into the world you feel like you feel like the whole world's like that now you're going to get a rude awakening no these kids they're not going to fucking eastern parkway and feeling fine they're not going they're probably not even going downtown say again why would they go to eastern parkway maybe they have friends that live over there best street in new york city i didn't send you yes it is to the school for you to have friends on eastern parkway what if we but you gotta know real shit happens watch the news but the news is like there's a complete disconnection what you're saying right now yeah is what i hear a lot of people say that grew up in the hood they feel like they want their kids to have some hood in them i'm like no no like why i do understand you gotta have natural survival skills it's not just hood my daughter goes to school with a lot of girls who wear the hijabs right like that's an experience that she can i would say this you gotta know there's a hood i thought chris was saying that because he was in danger i don't know i was like that was a terrible segue why why chris yeah my mind my mind doesn't even think like that it's not a hijab it's called a shiesty it's a fashionable trend okay god thinks everything is islam i'll leave it up to the jewish guy to say oh there's a muslim takeover it's called a shiesty chris speaking of eastern parkway if it's 90 degrees out and kids come walking down the street in full hooded sweatshirts and shiesties you better get the fuck on thank you right well it depends are they on a moped oh well then i'm already gone you better get no no well i hear what you're saying is that people like i you know i want them to still feel like they're part of the neighborhood or whatever it's like as long as they know the neighborhood exists you know what i mean it's because you have gratitude for where you are where you want to be where you could be you know like and also like you're experiencing all these different elements and angles in life like i think there's a lot of they feel like they'll never be able to achieve the success of their parents they feel like failures now they're just doing drugs and rehab when you grow up and you know everything that's around you and you're in that nice shit you start going man i'm pretty fucking lucky to be here like i got a friend who hasn't really eaten outside of school lunch all week i think that's that's i don't want my i don't want my kids to even think about what i do as success i want them to think about what it is they want to do as being a success like i want that and that's the beauty of you know having resources right when you have resources hopefully you can provide your kids a whole bunch of different options that's essentially what we're talking about but there's all we're trying to do is provide our kids with the most options possible but even with all those options like charlotte you're like a i mean they're sincere like you're like a generational success like the best of what you've done in your industry and i don't need my kids to be that no i know you don't i know you i know you won't put your pressure on them you just want them to find their joy and their passions like you did but inevitably being your child there's always going to be some sort of thing where you compare yourself to the things that your parents have like naturally like you grew up in a double-eyed trailer and like or single right it's like i'm sure there's part of you in your mind going like man look at the size of this house from what i came every day but they're gonna they they came from a big house that's all now when they go to buy a house they're gonna be like man i didn't even get the biggest house as my dad and but that's like it's a different maybe or maybe not yeah maybe they just want to live in a they maybe they of course they're gonna want to live in a big house but they're not gonna want to live in a luxury right but it don't necessarily have to be a big ass house no i you know i'm saying i i'm just saying it's very natural to compare yourself to your surroundings yeah and then to judge your success based on like how far you've gotten i agree with you and that's why we shouldn't put pressure on our kids right like it's like we know the environments that we come from that i thank god my kids don't have to grow up in the environment that i grew up in no for sure that's a huge success for you that's it just actually makes you the grumpy old dad sometimes which is it makes you the sitcom dad yeah turn off these goddamn lights okay yeah back in my day we used to have to light candles you know i mean shit like that it just really makes you the grumpy old dad like y'all don't appreciate nothing yes they appreciate everything they're just used to it i'm exactly i'm comparing it to the single wide trail i'm comparing it to the little sovereign you know house that my grandmother used to live in with a porch like yeah like they don't they didn't come from that yeah they don't know what that is yeah huh you give them an allowance how do you allowance i gave my once my daughter hit the hit 13 i gave her a salary and my my second one is 13 i'm giving her a salary give him a salary what's that gonna do nothing yeah that's an allowance that's allowance no no no i'm gonna tell you why we're not asking what the irs thinks of this right talking his friends here man i mean i mean they got to do their regular household chores yeah right allowance allowance no i'm gonna tell you that's smart let me explain to y'all uh changing it to a salary now you can tax right yes floydos kid hold on what is it hold on i don't want to explain this wrong yeah you can legally shift income by hiring your child through your unincorporated business deducting their wages as a business expense while they owe zero federal income tax on earnings up to sixteen thousand one hundred dollars damn it went up used to be 13 sixteen thousand one hundred dollars in 2026 so parent deducts child wages from business profit child claims the standard deduction the offset earnings and you can fund the Roth IRA with earned income. So I was doing that with my daughter as soon as she turned 13. I might have been 16 then. So here's the question, right? Yeah. While we dad out on the pod for a little bit. Yeah. We're dads, bro. I love it. At some point, it might have to be the Brilliant Dads podcast. Facts. So how much do you push your kid? Because sometimes I find like kids might be hesitant to do a thing that if they are pushed to do it, they will fall in love with it. So it's like, but you also don't want to push your kid to the point where they resent it. But it's very easy to just sit back and be comfortable and not try new things. But the new things could be their love, their joy, their passion, like what they're put on this earth to do. I don't push them to do nothing. I'm not even joking. It's just like, yo, whatever you love, once again, having the resources that they can, you know, go out there and experience a bunch of different things, throw a bunch of things against the wall and whatever it sticks, that's what they rock with. So if it's cheerleading, do your cheerleading. If it's art, do your art. My oldest daughter does everything. My oldest daughter plays the guitar. She plays keyboard. She's a great competitive cheerleader. She's majoring in exercise science. Like she does a little bit of everything. My second daughter, she's the same thing. She likes cheerleading and gymnastics and all that stuff, but she likes art. She likes being in the theater plays. She likes drawing. Your daughters feel very comfortable going out and exploring new things. That's it. But there are kids that don't and they need a little nudge. But sometimes with that nudge, they find an incredible passion for it. You get a lot more nudges when you have resources, bro. So you do believe in pushing them, but not forcing. Well, what I mean by that is when you have resources, because kids want to do everything they see. That's what I'm saying. Not every kid is like that. But like, no, sometimes their kids are a little hesitant. They might be a little shy. They might be like, I have friends, you know, like maybe their kid didn't want to try baseball. All of a sudden they try baseball and they're like, oh my God. But you said try. Do they really want to do it? Are their parents telling them to go do baseball? Well, I think that's what happens. It's like they think they don't want to do it. Their parents get them over that hump and then they realize how much they love it. That's crazy. You have way more Dominican friends. Dynamic. Because one thing I've, my father pushed me very hard. Yeah. Everything like on top of me 24-7. And in retrospect, I needed it. Yeah. I think you should pause that, Chris. That sounded crazy. What are you talking about? My father pushed me really hard on top of me 24-7. That was a little, even my dad. All right. Anyway. Do you know what he's trying to say? I think I heard it. But do you know what he's implying? Yeah. And this sounded a little crazy. You didn't think so? I think what he's trying to say. Shut the fuck up. Go, go, go. Anyway, I pushed my daughters the same way. And at a certain point I was like, oh, I can't push them the same way. My father pushed me. Their makeups are different. What did he push you to do, though? Everything. Like, I can remember running cross-country. I didn't want to run. He'd be running along the side of the course during the meets being like, it's only seven minutes of your life. Suck it up. Keep running. Fuck that. You know, like, he was on it. Is it bad that I don't see a problem with that stuff? I don't see a problem. I've seen that a lot. Yo, man, come on, man. When I, you think that's a problem? Seven minutes is a long time sucking it up. When he was pushing, you ever pushed back? This is horrible, man. We're trying to dad out. We are dadding out. This reminded me of something. What you're saying, Chris, is the problem. Not every kid has the disposition. Yeah, yeah, yeah. Go, go, go, go, go. I can't push my daughters that way. Long story short. Yeah. But I do wonder a lot, if I had a son, Could you? would I be pushing him as hard as my father pushed me? And I think that's something you're going to have to navigate, which is like, and I'm sure even with four daughters, but like, whatever the case is. I did that with my oldest daughter with karate. She did not like karate. At all. She was just doing it because I had her doing it. And she did not like it. And she quit when she got to like, brown belt or something like that. So it's just like, I didn't know you didn't like it. It's like, I tell you all the time, I don't like it. But you know, in your mind, kids be like, I don't want to go to karate practice. Like, no, let's go to karate. You think kids don't want to do anything. No, they don't want to do what they don't want to do. The things that they love to do, they'll beat you there. Like, dad, hurry up. Let's go. I got cheerleading practice. And that's what you hope. That's what you hope they're doing. But you're saying, like, with a son, I might feel a little more comfortable pushing them harder. Did your father push you? No. He didn't. He supported the fuck out of me. Right. The only thing that he didn't let me do, and I remember this my entire life, this is the only thing. Cocaine. Get a tongue ring. Fair. Shout out to him. Shout out, Larry. Shout out to Larry. Larry Levin. And then the other thing was, I- There's fraggle maggotry in my house. None. And then the other thing was, the other thing was, I asked him to join me up to this, like, hockey league. Right. Right? And I've never seen him do this, but he was like, nah. And I was like, what do you mean, nah? He's like, how are you going to have friends? And, like, he grew up hooping, and he met all these friends. Wherever he lived, you know what I mean? He was, like, working in Baltimore in the news, but, like, he would go hoop, and then he built a- And it was the best decision he ever made, because I made all my friends play basketball. Why do you think you wouldn't make friends play hockey? I might, but it'd be so, it'd be so specific. That would have been enough. Another bubble. It's like, I lived in Spain, and all my friends were from playing hoops. Yeah, yeah, yeah. In college, all my friends were playing hoops. Like, even to this day, like, Jameel and I were on a basketball team together. Yeah, you could have done that everywhere. And it was, like, it was a tiny little thing that he, like, pushed me in a direction of that changed the course of my whole life. Yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah. Being nice at hockey is a useless skill if you move to another country. Like, unless it's Canada. Like, you're not just rolling up to a court or, like, a rink or whatever and playing. Yeah, yeah, yeah, that makes sense. That makes sense. Yeah, I mean, that's the thing. I don't think you should, that's why I said, I don't think you should push your kids, yo. Like, let your kids find their way, whatever it is they want to do, what your dad did, support it. Yeah. Okay, but hold on. Let me throw one more counter at you. What about in this internet age when they spend so much time Scrolling, doing nothing. Scrolling. Whose kids spend time on the internet? My kids. Not mine. They don't have it. They don't have it. No, they don't. They don't have a phone, Charlamagne? My oldest daughter has a phone. My youngest kid has. In college now, you don't think he's on it? The other day, she had to call me because she said one of the clubs she wants to join was saying that, hey, you know, social media is how they communicate. She don't have social media. And I'm like, well, that can't be the only way. That cannot be the only way they communicate. I don't understand why she, her phone doesn't have it on it? She doesn't, she's never been on it, so she doesn't have it. Do you realize we're addicted to this shit for no reason? You don't even know why you scroll. I know it's bad. You can't tell me the last video you watched on social media. You can't tell me the last video you watched on social media and you've probably been on there all day. Here's a little bit of a game changer. I turned my phone to grayscale. What's that? Let me say this. Did I? I mean, a couple days ago. It works. What is it? It's just black and white. My phone's black and white now. But what happens? I'm not getting the dopamine hits from the color. And it actually changes it? And when I do go on my phone, it's not enjoyable and I'm finding I'm spending way less time on my phone. Bro, there's nothing dumber than laying in your bed, knowing you gotta go to sleep. Right. And for whatever reason, you just decide to look on your phone and scroll. For an hour. And you're there for, and you're like, what the fuck? I've been on this shit for an hour and you're not looking at nothing. It's dumb. So if you don't ever give a kid that, they won't desire it. My kids don't drink soda. They've never had soda, never had sugary drinks. So they naturally get water with their food, water with their food, water with their food. But then they're gonna go to college and all the other kids, that's how they socialize. That's what they drink. And then they're gonna have a culture shock. I'm telling you. So the kids aren't on social media like this? I was saying this just observation, but I saw some studies over the weekend. You got a whole, what's it, Generation Z? That's what it is now? Alpha, Alpha. No, what's the generation now? Gen Z and then Gen Alpha. Okay. So I think your oldest daughter is probably Gen Alpha. I don't remember, but they're disconnecting. They want real life experiences because they realize social media is not real. They realize that 50% of the shit on social media is bots. They're just not into it. But there's still so many of them that's on social media. Is it? I'm asking, is it? My kids are definitely addicted. I think it's a lot of kids that aren't. And I think it's going slowly. I hope it becomes the trend. I think it'll stay alive. Slowly but surely, the great disconnect is coming, baby. It's coming. You see it. I would love it. It's happening. I would love it. It is interesting. They get addicted to the things that entertain them. My daughter obviously loves reading because we've restricted her entertainment to reading and pretend games. But you still have that tick to be entertained. So when we sit down, she's like, read a book. That's right. And our natural thing is to do what you're doing, pick up your phone. Right. Like in that empty space. I know you're doing something, blah, blah, blah. But what I'm saying is in the empty space, they will fill it with something. They're not going to just sit there and observe the room and think. Yeah. And when we were young, it was go outside. It was go outside. Yeah. It was go outside. That's what my son does now, too. What does he do? And as soon as he sees me picking my keys, he's like, okay, we're outside. like really yeah he's he's clocked that yeah gen z according to a study by john hopkins a growing number of people are cutting back on or leaving social media driven by digital fatigue privacy worries and a desire to reclaim their time and mental well-being surveys show that nearly a third of users especially then gen z are posting less about their personal lives than they did previously many feel that platforms have turned away from friend connection toward relentless advertising and influencer content a surge of young people are experimenting with going chronically offline deleting apps and trading screen time for in-person hobbies i see it just Being on these campuses. What do we got, Taylor Gang? Is that better, Art? Do y'all want random? Or do y'all want. Let's start with Ed Sheeran, man. Okay. Because y'all focused on the wrong things here, guys. Oh! Okay. So. Oh! Well, let me start from the. What's the backstory? Click off that, Taylor, because I don't forgot. Speaking of. That's how you know this shit just be here today, gone tomorrow. It's the Macklemore. So, make it bigger, please. Okay. No, no, I'm about to. Oh, this part right here. Okay. Macklemore claimed he was forced off Ed Sheeran's tour after Sheeran was pressured. by Patriots owner Robert Kraft following Macklemore's onstage calls for a free Palestine. Kraft allegedly called Sheeran ahead of his show at Gillette Stadium and told him that Macklemore would not be allowed to perform in the stadium. Kraft reportedly rallied other stadium owners and collectively gave Sheeran the ultimatum. Ultimatum, if Macklemore stays on the tour, you will not be allowed to play in our venue. The promoter of Sheeran's U.S. tour, Messina Touring Group, released a statement that echoed Macklemore's claim but did not specifically name Kraft or any other venue or owner. Kraft, who is Jewish, is known for his support of Israel and Jewish causes. Having donated millions of dollars to them over the years and organizing trips to Israel with NFL players. Look, y'all know Ed Sheeran's my guy. He's always going to be my guy. The reality of the situation is I don't understand why Ed Sheeran's getting so much flack for this. Talk to me. Why do we always focus on the individual as opposed to the issue or the institution? Talk to me. Ed Sheeran is an individual who was pressured by an institution. The institution are the owners of these stadiums. And the owners of these stadiums said, hey, this guy can't perform. Put pressure on Ed. Put pressure on the promoters. The promoters are the ones I was told removed Macklemore from the show. But it's easy for social media to get online and attack Ed Sheeran because the reality of the situation is I find it amusing that people boycott things that they were never listening to to begin. Macklemore. No, Ed Sheeran. You know, who doesn't listen to Ed Sheeran? Everybody listens to Ed Sheeran. And you got a whole bunch of people who probably don't listen to Ed Sheeran at all. Ed Sheeran is Bob Marley. And it's easy for them to cut Ed Sheeran the fuck off. But my point is, why is Ed Sheeran the issue in this situation? Shouldn't the issue be Robert Kraft? I agree. But shouldn't, the argument would be, should both of them not be the issue? Like, someone would be like, hey, you're a powerful artist. You folded under the pressure of these institutions instead of supporting free speech and supporting free artists. Also, you knew who Macklemore was. And how big a part of his identity this was when you asked him to be part of the tour. But that should, listen to what you just said. Yeah. That last part is very important. Yeah. Because if you're gonna call Ed out and try to say he's, you know, anti-Palestine or whatever, why would you pick an opening act that you know is so pro-Palestine? And it's not even just Ed. The other people on, the other acts on the tour are super pro-Palestine. You think Ed Sheeran doesn't know that? I'll give you one more point to that. Okay. If I have the timeline correctly, they had, Macklemore stood up and given his speech a couple of times. Ed Sheeran let him cook. Oh, I didn't know that. Ed Sheeran didn't have a problem with it. I didn't know that. He didn't echo it. He didn't double down on it, but he was like, do your thing. My understanding was like, they reached out to him about it. Oh, they did. That's my understanding. It could be bullshit, but they reached out to him about it. And then we're like, telling him to have it down. I guess he said he wasn't gonna. So if you are trying to silence him, again, I don't know if they did. I don't know if that came from Ed. Maybe it came from the promoters. I don't know. I don't know how involved they are in it. But I guess that would be the argument. The argument is like, if this is how you feel and you are supportive of him and him doing his act in the way he wants to do it, why fold for one venue? Well, I think that's the conversation. And that's why I think the energy should be directed towards the owners and the institutions. Because regardless of how powerful you may think Ed Sheeran is, clearly he's not as powerful as those. So let's just say you go after Ed Sheeran. This is Macklemore. You get him out to paint, right? Those institutions still exist. And we'll do this to the next individual. But why not. Did you listen to what Macklemore said? Yeah. I thought it was so balanced. I thought it was like. I thought it was balanced. I'm like, I can't get more balanced than that on that issue. To me, it creates like. You want to play it? Play it, Taylor. I've been trying to figure out a way to say this all day. One of the reasons why I wanted to come on this tour was because I wanted to stand up here on stages and stadiums across America and say two words that are very near and dear to my heart. Free Palestine. I said free Palestine to all of my Jewish brothers and sisters Criticism of Israel. Criticism of apartheid. Being against genocide in no way is a criticism of you. My message is for peace, love, for all human beings to be treated with dignity, respect, and equality. So I say free Palestine. I say free Lebanon. I say free Cuba. I say free Congo. Free Sudan. Free all people in America living in fear over this terrorist organization, ICE. None of us will be free until we are all free. But like, to me, if this is the reaction to something that was like incredibly balanced and like not at all violent or offensive, whatever, it's like, it's like, I think sometimes, this is what I think sometimes happens, is like, if you say free Palestine, right? Which, if you, if you are someone who's pro-Israel but actually believes in a two-state solution, what you also believe is a free Palestine. Right? So like, that's something you also believe if that's something you want, right? I don't think there's anybody, is there anybody on the planet that is like, I want occupied Palestine forever? Right. There are some people. Those people are fucking insane. So like, if we would say, if we would say the unanimous decision around the world is we would hope for a free Palestine. Everybody who is reasonable would hope that there's not an occupied group. of people by anybody. Right? That would be a hope. No? Is that a crazy thing to say? No. Okay. So, if you're pushing back to that statement because of like, a way you choose to interpret it, I mean, what are the chances that Kraft even heard what he said? What if he just heard him say free Palestine and then in Kraft's mind that means some different shit? It does. So you're canceling somebody for your interpretation of what they said? Yes, but that's, this is the crazy thing. That's ridiculous, bro. We gotta stop canceling people for your interpretation of what they said. Everything you just said makes sense. It makes so much sense and it's so logical I'm glad you brought that up because I looked this up a few days ago because I've been wanting to know what do people think free Palestine means, right? So free Palestine is a political slogan and rallying cry that carries widely different meanings depending on who is using it and the context in which it's said. So to your point, as a call for liberation of human rights, for many activists and supporters, the phrase is a demand for an end to the Israeli military occupation of the West Bank and Gaza, freedom from systemic oppression, and the right to self-determination and basic human dignity for Palestinians. Nobody's against that, right? I would find it hard to believe that there are rational people against that. Okay. It's also used as a call for statehood. It is often interpreted as advocating for an independent, sovereign Palestinian state, either alongside Israel in a two-state solution or as a single democratic state with equal rights for all inhabitants between the Jordan River and the Mediterranean Sea. So that's the one that I think makes the Robert Crafts nervous. This is the next one. Oh, talk to me. Oh, shit. It gets crazy. As a call for the elimination of Israel, for militant groups like Hamas and other rejectionist organizations, the phrase and related chants, such as from the river to the sea, are used to signify the complete replacement of Israel with a Palestinian state, which critics and Israeli advocates view as a call for the destruction of the Jewish state and the displacement or subjugation of its Jewish population. Yeah. That's the meaning that everybody. gets upset about. But if you ask me, I don't ever think of that meaning. I've never heard somebody say free Palestine, and that's what they were talking about. It was either one of the first two meanings. Well, I think in this circumstance, you have context for what he means. Yes. He's not just saying. He's like, hey, this is what I mean by it. Absolutely. And very specifically, I think there was a thing where he said, like, this is different. This is, you know, Jewish people. I stand with you, and you should be protected. Like, I think he, like, thought about this and knew what he was going to do. He said it. I'm sure. If Chris's point is accurate, he said this a million times. I think the other issue is the fact that since so many groups of people use the same phrase, it's like even though Macklemore is saying it for that, you're still saying the phrase that the people who are against me are using the same thing. So just like defund the police, there were some people that were like, no, no, we need to redistribute wealth to mental health. It wasn't take all the money away from police. And then there were people. There were people saying that same phrase, meaning abolish all police altogether. Yeah, but that phrase is trash. A lot of these phrases are trash because that phrase leaves up too much up to interpretation. Some would say free Palestine is too much to interpretation. How? Somebody says, hey, from the river to the sea, they want to be free. Because it's a new world that we live in. I'll give you another example. I was talking about affordability. Or not even affordability. I said teachers need to get six-figure salaries and shouldn't have to pay taxes. Chris was being sarcastic, but he said what a lot of people said. People would say, that's communism. That's socialism. No, it's not. Yeah, people run for shit. I mean. We're talking about paying people what they deserve. This is my suspicion. My suspicion is that someone's like, yo, this guy's saying free Palestine. And, by the way, look at this outfit he put on back in the day that looks crazy anti-Semitic. That's crazy. Now, Macklemore's saying he's dressing like Ringo Starr. That's what he said? Yeah. Now, I don't remember Ringo looking like that. That's one of those things where it's like, now you got to keep it real. People start coupling things together. They couple the Jew face with the free Palestine. He's saying, I'm doing Beatles face. Yes. He's saying he's doing Beatles face. But, you start doing Beatles face, and you start saying that, and then they give it to Bob Kraft. Now, he's like, who's going to be performing here? I think Kraft would have done it without the Beatles face. Again, I don't know Bob Kraft. My point is, this is bad PR, too. Because, this is bad PR for Kraft. Horrible. Terrible. He handled it horribly. Yeah. But, I was texting with a Jewish friend of mine last week. She says he's a hero. She says he's great. Thank God for people like him standing up. I said, come on. You got to be kidding me. Well, maybe not. She probably wasn't talking about just this one issue. No. She was like, can you imagine being in that stadium when Macklemore said what he said? How unsafe you would have felt? She don't even know what Macklemore said. I said, yeah, I would have been fine. But, before we position all Jewish people like this, I've spoken to a bunch of Jewish people about this, and they're like, this is- They think Robert Kraft went too far. This is the worst. Literally, what they said is, this is the last thing we need right now. The last thing we need right now is looking like we're policing speech or policing art or policing any of these things. It's like, we're already not popular. People already think these things of us, and we're going to go stop Macklemore from performing? See what I'm saying? That's the perspective I've heard. And, you're going to do it on the week when I'm outside telling all my Jewish friends, Why this week of all weeks? Like, why would you do it on this week? That's why Robert was a little extra sensitive. The high holy days. Like, Jesus Christ! Shouldn't there be more Jewish people speaking up to call out Kraft? That's what I'm doing right now. I don't think there's enough of Chris's that call it out. Hold on one second, this is a funny moment. This is the exact moment where white people go, shouldn't there be more black people talking about the violence in the black community? Right, right, right. And, it's like, there are. It doesn't hit you. It's not hitting your algorithm. Maybe. Right? Because, your algorithm is just people maybe being. You don't coach your Twitter, bro. Yeah, it's like. Why you not on coach your Twitter, Al? Right, but like, this is the exact example. And, I'm not trying to put you on the spot, obviously. But, like, and the example when you hear that is like, are you kidding me? Come to the community. There's so many people in the community calling out bullshit. Yeah. And, I think they said something. There's some stat like 75% of American Jews are like against what Israel's doing right now. Like, it's very lopsided. I think it's higher than that, actually. I think what happens is you have very wealthy, famous ones like a Bob Craft who are behaving in this way. And, then that trickles down on the community. But, according to data, that's why. This is one of those times where everybody forgets what the actual issue is. I really, truly believe that. Because, whenever there's celebrity involved, it's always easy to pile on to the celebrity. And, we start focusing on that individual that we forget what the actual issue is. The actual issue is institutions that want to silence. Free speech. Now, mind you, I always say you're not free from the consequences of said speech. So, if you're the owner of one of these stadiums and you decide, hey, I don't want this person in my vicinity, you have every right to that. I don't know if I even agree with that. Okay. Bring it down. If Bob, if, that was weird. If he owned a club, let's say, in New York City and Macklemore was going to play there. And, he said, all right, I don't want this in my club. That's fine. There are a million other clubs Macklemore could play. That's fine. That's fine. Right? When you own something the size of Gillette Stadium, there's only one of those. It's kind of a public service in a way. My issue is, who paid for it? The taxpayer. It's not even your venue. They're funded. It's crazy they get to dictate who gets to go in there, who doesn't. Yeah. We paid for it. Or, the taxpayers in that. I see those as public spaces, financially, culturally. I think Bob spent a lot of his own money on it. You have to spend some. Yeah, yeah. But, if other people did, they're investors in it. And, they also should be able to sit on a board and have a say. I do. This is a great conversation. Other people are named by the taxpayer. I do feel like, you know, listen, man. We all know the things that come out of our ears. Listen, man. Listen, man. first. Get his context. That's it. Get his perspective. That's it. And maybe if you understand his context and perspective, we don't even have to worry about this. That's it. Before you call Ed and tell Ed, hey, you know, and call promoters and say, hey, this guy can't be on the show, can I talk to this guy? Because, you know, Robert Kraft's the same person that spent money on the Blue Square, remember the commercial during the Super Bowl? Yeah, yeah, yeah. So clearly he wants to open up a dialogue, right? If you really want to educate people to what you believe is misinformation, why don't you sit down and have a conversation? Talk to him. I bet you y'all both learned something from each other. And now you're making people even more angry. Why not just sit down, let's have the conversation, and then everybody come to some, you know, common ground. Because, by the way, if you listen to Macklemore's speech, you can tell it's a speech written to not really offend anybody. It's prepared for this moment. It's specifically, because, like, there was a different speech he had written when he was wearing the Ringo star outfit. That speech looks way different. Right? Like, and we would all like to see what that one looks like. Right? But, like, he didn't give that one. He gave the one, like, I gotta make sure I can get my message across while also, you know. He was tip-tawing around the landmines! Um, Drew, I think your thing of what Sharon should have did, it would have helped, but I still feel people are upset because, like, if you stay, like, neutral for situations of injustice, you're kind of still taking the side of the oppressor. So it's like, people just want him to say something, and the fact that he's fencing it. You can't be neutral in this thing. Yeah. You can't be. Like, even if you are apolitical, it's like, this is injustice, so people just want to know, like, hey, do you agree with what's going on, or do you don't? You can't. I didn't know Macklemore apologized for 2014 costume featuring anti-Semitic troops. Hold on a second. I didn't know he looked like that. I might have to. Oh, you didn't see it? I might have to reform. Now, he's saying he's Ringo, but Ringo don't got a breather like that. What is he looking at? What are you looking at? We're looking at. He's Macklemore. Yeah, that's. That cock on his face is saying a lot, bro. That suspect right there. So, look. Wait, when did he. So, just keep this in mind. That's Mr. Marcus on soft. Remember Mr. Marcus on soft? Remember how Mr. Marcus used to look on soft? The pointer? Yeah, yo, you can't have that shit hanging off your face, bro. Now. That's like half Amish, half Jewish right there. I don't know what. It's crazy. It's really crazy. Why did he dress up like that? It's really crazy. It's crazy. So, now, if you got a video like this. And he apologized for it. But why did he apologize? Like, did he go. He apologized for. He said it was anti-Semitic tropes. No, I don't know if he apologized for that. He's like, maybe I'm sorry for how this made people feel. It wasn't my. Like, I don't think he was like, hey, I was trying to make fun of Jews. My bad. Let's see. Let's see what the apology says. Scroll up, Taylor. He was trying to make. This is. But, this is one of those things where it's like, if you see that outfit, and then you see what he's saying, you're gonna have. It's gonna inform your perspective. He said, Macklemore said in a lengthy post on his website, he did not realize his choice of costume evoked anti-Semitic imagery and apologized. What did he do? I gotta call bullshit on that. I don't know what he was trying to do, but that nose is. You didn't see Ringo Starr? Ringo didn't have. They don't make noses like that in the movie, man. Isn't that what Ringo. Can you bring up a picture of Ringo Starr and put it right next to it? Go back to your point about not being neutral on things like this. Maybe it's Ringo and then the star is like. I've checked. He's not Jewish, because it is star. Maybe it's Ringo Starr of David. That was definitely Ringo Starr of David. Listen. Oh, he does. Come on, man. Nah. Nah. Yeah, nah. Nah. No. But did Ringo ever even have a beard? No. You're talking about this picture right here. Hold on. Can I share? I'm a nose expert. Those noses don't have nothing to do with it. This picture right here? Take it from a pro. Listen, let's go back to what you was talking about when you said about remaining neutral, because this is the thing that I don't understand. Yeah. When you're talking about this issue. And I'm not even. I'm not going back hundreds and hundreds of years. I'm literally starting with October 7th. What year was it? 2024? What year was it, Chris? Sounds right. Yeah. I don't remember the date. I know it was October 7th. Cue up the reaction videos. You can easily. Read the internet. You about to read the internet right now, Charlemagne. You should easily be able to say 20,000 kids being killed in Palestine is wrong. If you can't say that. And you should be able to say 1,200 people getting killed at a concert on October 7th is wrong. That shouldn't be controversial. That's not something to remain neutral on. It's not even about picking a side. It's just wrong. That's not neutrality. Wrong is wrong. You're saying this is wrong, right? These are wrong acts. I put myself in other people's shoes. We got kids, bro. I don't want my kids getting killed in a war. Right? I don't want to be at a concert. I have my kids at a concert, and somebody just come and start killing my kids. You should be able to say all of that is wrong. Now, how do we fix it? I don't see why that's so difficult. Why is that so difficult? Well, because. But that's why people are upset at Sharon. Well, he did end up saying it in his apology, and then his apology. No, but his apology was panned. And he looked at his fence sitting and trying to ride the apolitical way. And once again, how are you more mad at Ed than you are at the owners who clearly are not even considering the 20,000 kids that have been killed in Palestine? I don't think a lot of people, the people who are upset, have any expectation for Robert Kraft. Exactly. See, I don't like that. Bingo. I get what you're saying, Chris, but I don't like that. I hate when people say stuff like that. Robert Kraft is above their ability to negatively impact. Can you go? You impact the people. But this is the truth. You impact the people you can negatively impact. It's like, everybody knows now, like Trump, for example, they know they can't do anything to Trump. There's nothing you can do to him. Like, they've been yelling at Trump forever, and it's just. What did you call him? Teflon Don? I don't know if he's so Teflon now. No, no. He impacted him. Oh, yeah. He's the only one that can impact him. His dumbass decisions are the thing that impact him, but not people. And when his supporters start turning on him, yeah. Because of shit he did. Yeah, yeah, yeah. Not because of an article or because of a criticism, whatever. So it's like, I think you impact the people you can impact. I mean, you can impact Kraft by not buying tickets to. Ain't nobody not going to a Patriots game in Massachusetts. I'm just saying. Maybe some people would. I don't know about football. Alex, stop. I'm just saying. Alex, stop. We love football, bro. They love. We love football. Well, that's bad that we put our love of football over what's going on. It's eight home games, bro. You might boycott, like, the soccer team, but you're not boycotting the Patriots. That is a good point, though, because it's like your how do you hurt these people? Robert Kraft don't even got a Twitter. You can act. Like, Robert. Millions of dollars. But what you're saying is why I feel like the energy is always misdirected. Because we always go after the person we think we can hurt. But then the real problem is still there to impact the next individual. Yeah, I hear you. I mean, like, look, I feel bad for Ed. I think what he could have communicated more is, like, a support for an artist that he put on the tour, knowing full well what that guy stood for. It wasn't even. There was another opening act of his that said something. He's basically saying what I'm saying. Billie Eilish's brother. That's who that was? And then also there was an Irish singer whose name. Yeah, I think he was one of the openers. He said what I said. He was like, I don't know why y'all going after Edge. Y'all need to be going after the owner. I'm going to be honest. I think yous are all focusing on the wrong person here. All I keep hearing is Ed Sheeran this, Ed Sheeran that. When yous really should be focusing on the likes of Robert Kraft, you really should be focusing on the Zionist lobbies that are trying to silence the voices of people who are shouting about genocide. The genocide that is happening in Palestine right now by Israel. Look, I know Ed's statement could have been a lot better. And I do think that Macklemore shouldn't have been pulled off the tour. I fully believe it was panic stations over there and they'd ****. They rushed the decision because they didn't know what to **** do because they were getting it from all angles. That's a mistake from a person. And I haven't had a chance to **** talk to Ed too much. But I fully believe he knows that was a mistake. Sherlock who's on the **** line up, yeah? Bioga, the most pro-Palestine group out there. **** Bird. Pro-Palestine. Fully pro-Palestine. **** Macklemore. Need I say more? Me. Everyone knows my **** stance on Palestine. Like, if Ed Sheeran was a **** Zionist, why would he have all these **** people on the **** tour? It was human **** error. Yous all know my stance on Palestine. I'll tell you right now. First hand, I know Ed Sheeran has done so much for so many **** people including artists like me who he's literally changed their entire lives. All he has inside of him is kindness. That is who Ed Sheeran is and yes, like every other human being, he makes **** mistakes. I'm telling you now, there's people out there who don't **** mistakes and it's the likes of the governments of this **** world. The Irish government, I'm **** looking at you as yous have done **** all. Yous have done absolutely **** nothing about what has gone on, considering the **** impact that the British Empire had on their **** country. You're a **** disgrace, each and every one of yous. You're a disgrace to that **** building that you stand in. In the music industry, within the media, there are people with so much money and so much power that they're able to basically shut down any opinion that they don't agree with. You should be using this opportunity to plaster Robert Kraft's face everywhere. or someone who tried to down free speech someone who tried to silence the voices of people who are shouting about genocide that's what you should be using your energy on not ed sharon for sake sure but like also at the end of the day the buck stops for them right it's like no it's your tour you get to do what you want on your tour i just don't listen i what i'm saying is i don't know about that because everybody said the promoters who pulled macklemore but he is the he has the ability to do the show and not do the show and the promoter doesn't tell you who your opening acts are i think listen i agree with everything you're saying all i'm simply saying is when you have the institution that still exists it doesn't matter if it's ed sheeran macklemore whoever if you have those powers that be that can say no we don't want this for x y and z reasons i think you got to take it take it up with the powers let me give you a different perspective okay it's more close to home right let's say uh give me just a random huge uh touring act rapper uh rapper nba young boy okay nba young boy has an opener and in the opening he's saying black lives matter and then one of the arenas goes we don't want him to be saying black lives matter nba young boy says all right you know it's okay if he's not on the tour anymore wouldn't you be like nah i want you to stand up for that i want you to stand up for the opening act yeah i don't want to stand up for the opening act yes but that still yes but that still yes but that still doesn't go after the power so what what doesn't go after the power so what what doesn't go after the power so what what i'm saying is i'm saying is i'm saying is the criticism of maybe not getting behind the criticism of maybe not getting behind the criticism of maybe not getting behind and supporting it is still there and supporting it is still there and supporting it is still there but also there should be criticism at but also there should be criticism at but also there should be criticism at the power source at the power source the power source at the power source the power source at the power source the power source the power source the power source what i'm saying is it's not like i saw what i'm saying is it's not like i saw what i'm saying is it's not like i saw them i saw them say that they were them i saw them i saw them say that they were them i saw them i saw them say that they were protesting protesting protesting outside of lincoln lincoln financial outside of lincoln lincoln financial outside of lincoln lincoln financial field field field the night ed sheeran performed and i'm the night ed sheeran performed and i'm the night ed sheeran performed and i'm saying to myself saying to myself saying to myself well you shouldn't just protest the night well you shouldn't just protest the night well you shouldn't just protest the night that sharon performed to protest every that sharon performed to protest every that sharon performed to protest every games yeah you know what i'm saying games yeah you know what i'm saying games yeah you know what i'm saying protest every single time they have an an event there because that owner is one of the people who was like, nah, if Macklemore's on his toe, he can't perform here. Also, like- Jeffrey Lurie. I forgot his name. He's the Eagles owner. Why? Did he say that Macklemore- Well, if you're saying that- It was like eight teams. I don't remember who all the teams were. Oh, a bunch of teams came out and said no? Oh, yeah. Robert rallied around. Robert called the truth. That's crazy. Oh, yeah. Nah, you can't infringe on free speech. Do better, Jeffrey. That's all I'm saying. This is a free speech issue at the end of the day, more than anything. So, go after the actual institutions that are hindering free speech. And now, but then that's where it's kind of on artists to be like, well, if that's going to be a place that doesn't support free speech, then we don't need to do shows in that place. Okay, I agree with that. Does an artist fundamentally have to support free speech? No artist- Is that part of the job of an artist? No, no artist has to. You get to decide what you do as an artist. What I'm just saying is that free speech is what allows us to do all this shit. It just allows us to talk this shit on the show that we do right now. And any infringing on that for whatever the- The reason is, is going to eventually trickle down to the rest of us. Like, once it becomes common that if an owner doesn't like the political beliefs of the performer, then all of a sudden, none of those people with those political beliefs get to perform there, that's a very different scenario. And I know this is like a slippery slope argument or whatever, but it is something that's concerning. It's a very relevant argument because you can take it a step further and look at what happened with Trump banning the news. And what did the news stations do? They banned it together because- Because they understand that once you allow something like this, it's the slipperiest of slopes. You're right. But there's a bit of a difference here, Chris, because in that situation, there's only one person to go after. And to me, they're going after the right, they're going after Trump and they're suing Trump. That's what they should do. In this situation, I feel like everybody should be going after Robert, but because there's a celebrity in the middle of this- And the other owners. And the other owners, everybody's going after just the one celebrity. I think the news guys got it completely right. You're right. Yeah. I agree with that. I just think that there is a similar pathway that maybe would have appeased is not the right word, but like- You go after the institution. Sure, sure. Those organizations are suing. They're not just, they didn't just ban together and say, oh, y'all not doing, they're suing Trump. They're suing- Yeah, as they should. The Trump administration for this. Well, look, it's a dangerous moment. It's an unprecedented moment. We've never had a moment like this before. Never. So it's important for people to talk about it. It's a people- It's a people to speak out against it. And I don't have, I don't have the solution. America don't even look right cosplaying as an authoritarian regime. What do you mean? It just don't, like, we're cosplaying as an authoritarian regime. This ain't us, bro. Like, this is not what Americans do. And I keep telling y'all over and over, y'all worried about the wrong people when it comes to having their freedom. Infringed on. What does that mean? Everybody looking at the minorities. Ain't the minorities that's going to knock a few buck in this country when it comes to getting their freedoms taken away. What do you think, those whites are going to- It's them whites. It's Al Cracker, goddammit. It's Vanilla ISIS, okay? Think about how, listen, when they thought an election was being stolen from them, who stormed the Capitol? A diverse group of patriots. All right. Okay. All right. They not going for this. And I'm watching it. I'm like, as soon as they figure out, watch the election time. Election time is when it's really going to get crazy. You saw it with the ICE stuff a little bit when they started saying, like, he shouldn't have had a gun. You saw a lot of, like, very right-wing conservatives come out and said, whoa, whoa, what the fuck you mean he shouldn't have a gun? You see what I'm saying? He's an American and he has the right to hold a gun. Like, you saw that pushback. It's Americans. Because there are things that, you know, that they identify around and you cannot infringe on that identity. Donald Trump shut all of the independent journalists out of the White House, right? Immediately, Fox News, CNN, MSNOW, I think it was NBC, Politico, all came together to say, no, no, no, no, no, no, no. So now, I was watching Fox the other day. They cut from J.D. Vance and was like, we'll come back to him when he's really talking about something. This November. The Democrat Party is running candidates for Congress who call for, quote. All right. You have been listening to Vice President Vance talking to voters ahead of the midterms in Battleground, North Carolina. He's in Greensboro this afternoon. We will bring you right back to this rally if he starts to make news. They're going to put him in timeout. They're putting Trump in timeout. Yo, when Trump was doing a White House press conference, it was on mute. You couldn't even hear it. They wouldn't even play the audio. Okay. So. There is no microphone because there's no microphone because the pool cameras aren't there. So maybe, Tim, this is one example of it backfiring just a little bit. Pick up on some of the things Michael was saying. And obviously, the ramifications are right here. Can't hear what the president's saying. So my point is, when you start seeing that happen, all right, watch when Al Cracker get bucked. Okay. Yo, I didn't get Al Cracker until you said. But if you start with Vanilla Isis, it primes me for terror organizations. And then Al Qaeda, Al Cracker makes perfect sense. But Vanilla Isis got to be the lead. That's got to be the lead. The lead. The lead. Yeah. Well, they're going to. I'm telling you, they're going to be the ones that preserve democracy. Yeah. All right, Chris. They're the only ones with the heart. Damn, bro. They're the only ones. They got the heart to go do that type of shit. Yeah. But you, what are y'all talking about? I mean. Bro, they do defend their shit. Get the fuck out of here. Y'all know what I'm talking about. They got the militias. What? Yeah. They're like, we're not paying taxes. You watching Lanterns? I'm just sitting there. Are you watching Lanterns? I didn't see the latest episode, but yeah. You saw the last episode. I didn't see the latest episode. I saw the one before that. The one before? I've seen one through five. Okay. But you've seen enough of it to see that, the militia that's in Lanterns. Yeah, but they were backed by an alien. Sure. White supremacy is an alien, okay? There's a million of those across the country. I'm telling you, as soon as they, it's not like they're realizing it now. Like, oh, no, no, no, no, no. There's still America at the end of the day. Yeah. They're not going to. Just don't say we don't got heart. The civil rights movement, we had a lot of heart during that. No, I'm not talking about that. We'll knock if we got a butt. Bro. I'm just saying. Listen to me. We will. Listen to me. It's the difference, okay? There's a difference between. The civil rights movement and violent revolution. And I'm not calling for violent revolution. I'm just telling you who I think is willing to actually go there. You're talking about. In America. Revolutionary war type shit. Yes. There's a difference between, I think, who's actually. Fighting an oppressive government. Yes. There's a difference. And you know why there's a difference? Because that group of people, those white people, have actually experienced real freedom. We don't even know. So they know what to. They got something to lose. They know what they're losing. Okay, okay. They understand. They understand what they're losing. I see what you're saying. Okay. We don't even really understand what we're losing. We're looking at y'all like, oh, now y'all know how we feel. Yeah. Okay. Now y'all know how I feel to have your civil rights infringed. You guys are kind of rooting for it. You're like, finally, we're even. Yeah, exactly, man. Take your, take your, take your fucking country back. This is right the way. Now if I could be like this, take the country back. This is our country. Well, take your country back, God damn it. Okay. We used to dealing with it. We, as black people, are used to dealing with that. Yo. This, this shit ain't none of us used to dealing with. dealing with. fascism none of us are used to dealing with it authoritarianism none of us are used to dealing with it okay that's different that's different than racism and white supremacy guys okay just bring back the good old racism and white supremacy all right that worked for hundreds of years not to navigate through that yeah not to navigate through that so then what's it take what's the breaking point i think it's breaking right now i think it's breaking right now because number one people's pockets are fucked up the economy is fucked up you know i'm saying that people was getting money and the economy was booming it would be hard bro to get people to pay attention to the stuff they're paying attention to now i was speaking to a gentleman who was uh in the nightclub business and he said it is decimated but i got no money for no nightclub well he said the cost of everything has gone up right so it's not only like you can still generate he said a few different things happen he goes like the whole bottle service industry was really like hinged on foreigners with a lot of money so people from the middle east people from south america basically same thing that happened to the fucking real estate in new york city so it's it's it's so when you clamp down a little bit on immigration or make it less palatable or make it less easy for them to come or maybe there's conflict out there so they're not willing to travel as much or you know money's going to a little tighter whatever so the whole bottle industry basically in the last 10 years has been a fugazi maybe the last 20 years it's not kids that are buying bottles right it's just super wealthy people who maybe now are pulled in different directions or maybe not party and then he said these kids nowadays they don't drink which was maybe a good thing but they don't socialize like in their brain they're not like i'm gonna meet a girl out they're like i'm gonna meet a girl in the apps and it's just completely changed nightlife he goes the the industry is making money now that are like casinos because they're not going to be able to make money it's 40 and up going and we still come one like we were fortunate enough to maybe buy a house when rates were fucking two percent we're fortunate enough to have money in the stock market before we went crazy so it's like all those people still feel good they still spend they still party they still socialize but the young kids today he's like it's not happening they are not i was i was in vegas this past crazy for the iheart radio music festival you know i used to go to vegas and you'd hear you'd actually hear about i'm not saying they're not there gambling but you would hear conversation like oh i'm going to the casino i'm going to see that is you don't even hear that in vegas like that no more because it's just it's entertainment like you know people talk about going to the sphere and like you know what i mean like you're saying they're not gambling i'm not saying they're not i'm just saying you don't hear about it main attraction don't feel like the culture of vegas anymore i could be completely wrong i only go out there a couple of times a year but to me when i go to vegas i don't feel like the culture of gambling is still what that's not a good thing because they're not making money on all those events they're making money on you at the fucking slot machine vegas making some money on you at the fucking slot machine vegas making some money somewhere because they got fucking they got the baseball team coming there they got the basketball team coming there like they're building the the uh oakland a stadium what i'm saying is is that the most profitable things that they have are gambling related oh yeah not these big entertainment things these entertainment things are there so that we go gamble right but if we're going there and not gambling they can't afford to pay for these residence fees listen when we flew to mary j blind's residency and you got people flying in just to go to those but by the way maybe we're just realizing it now maybe that's how it was back in the day when people would fly to vegas just to go to those places now you made a weekend out of it yeah and they back in the day this is what i heard about vegas is that they're gouging meaning back in the day you used to go there get a room for almost nothing right you get free drinks while you're on the gambling floor that's right and you'd have a fucking world-class like buffet type food for almost nothing so you're eating good you're eating good you're eating good you're eating good you're eating good you're drinking good and you're staying in a beautiful room and the only thing you got to do is have fun gambling that was the deal and you felt like a fucking not a celebrity or whatever but you felt like really taken care of what about when you're going out there to see frank sinatra or somebody well i think that was all part of it and the idea was hey in this town everybody feels important and now you go there and the room is just as much as the room in miami the room is just as much as the room in la and the you gotta pay for drinks on the floor and one other thing yeah in the past that was your only opportunity to gamble there was nowhere else now you couldn't gamble online now you couldn't do all this other stuff you get to vegas i gotta get some shit off i'm never gonna be able to give you giving money to a bookie in a bar with a leather jacket back in the day now it's right on your phone i wonder what it is about cities with mad casinos that make me sleep so good tell me i i get some of the most peaceful rest in atlantic city and in las vegas they don't want you to sleep i love being in vegas and turning all the lights off and just opening the window and letting the lights from all of the shit outside just light up the room that shit is heaven to me really what because i don't gamble i'll be in the room i go after the iheart festival i was back in my room 11 o'clock ordering room service by the way four seasons warm chocolate chip cookie oh unbelievable the uh what life is something else man it was a time i thought the double tree cookie was amazing dude the double tree cookies was good it was it did slap till you get that warm chocolate chip cookie from four seasons but still it that's how little shit do we need remember the double tree fucking cookie fire you thought you were at the finest hotel on the planet with cookie it's so easy to make us feel good fire fire the the jet blue chocolate chip cookie right upon landing do you remember that no jet blue got a chocolate chip cookie yeah it would be like i think it's jet blue i know it doesn't matter it's like it's kind of interesting like these hotels and these different like franchises will spend all this money on like ornate shit in a room that we never even notice you give us a warm fucking cookie fire room so that what you're saying is so true hotels if you got great room service like the four seasons in vegas has fantastic food and that warm chocolate chip cookie me and my wife fell asleep high as a laying in the bed and when i woke up that cookie it was like a half a cookie just sitting there and it was two big ones all over the sheets looks like you shouldn't it's no telling what the housekeeping thought we did it's no telling now that i think about it i'm like yeah yeah yeah because those cookie chips were warm bro so they're melted yeah yeah jesus christ let's I'm supporting you and I'm gonna vote for you why don't listen here's the thing yeah I would have voted for Pete you would have why are you nice and I just started scrolling and I was just like there's competition there's no competition at all you know it but what you're trying to do is like listen Solomon doesn't believe in DEI like he's merit-based he clearly does you know that's all I said I said well what do the babies do okay I need some skills they can't just be cute what's the skill set I heard a great I heard it first of all my son knows how to jump my son was actually taking his first steps in nine months and started walking at 10 and he can dance and he can dance he can definitely dance he can dance his ass off I heard a I heard a great argument for uh DEI by the way what's the argument I'll leave the guy's name out of it right but black dude right and like worked at the top of finance and you know I'm not a big fan of all the different things and he was like explaining to some other people that were like kind of against DEI and he's like listen I was at the top of insert one of the biggest banks ever global finance he goes we had a friends and family thing over here at this bank where people would call me up and be like hey my nephew can you give him a job hey my niece can you give him a job whatever blah blah blah and we did it and that was the policy were they like he goes that's DEI he goes you're totally fine with DEI when it helps you get your niece and nephew of course but the second it's getting a black kid into this school or getting a brown kid into this school all of a sudden it's like oh it has to be all merit-based and it's like corporations are fine with socialism when they go fucking belly up and they want to get paid out 100 you just now hearing of nepotism no no I've heard it I've heard it but what I'm telling you is that like there is a nepotism is like an amorphous idea this is a company idea this is a company idea this is a company idea this is a company policy at the biggest banks and institutions in the world some of which the people that are like powerful figures at these banks have been rallying against DEI when it comes to like the university level and he had to sit them down and literally be like guys you are asking me to do DEI for your nieces and nephews and you have no problem with this but now you're yapping on twitter about DEI at Harvard and it's like it can't go both ways it's like when you want it to benefit you then we also have to look at circumstances that could benefit people who aren't in positions of power like you yeah and it was just it was a great way of like explaining it where they really couldn't say anything hey kind of just were like salute to John O'Brien John O'Brien says that uh DEI is not charity but is a hard economic strategy necessary to keep the entire nation prosperous because he says there are not enough college educated successful white men to drive US GDP growth alone over the next 20 to 30 years because consumer spending drives roughly 70% of the US GDP the nation's economic future requires full participation and economic inclusion from all demographics including women and minority communities and with the minority populations growing and projected to form a large share of the population excluding these groups from wealth building home ownership and entrepreneurship risk stalling the broader economy and losing America's global competitive edge you know it's interesting even with the DEI shit is like uh especially at the university level it's like everybody would be cool with getting rid of DEI if you you also got rid of legacy, so. crazy so what legacy is is like basically if you went to harvard your kids kind of get into harvard now do they get in because you think your kids are good in school no they get in because you've been donating hundreds of thousands of dollars every single year to that institution and of course building up their endowments right so they also don't deserve to get in but their parents have been paying for the last 20 years so eventually they're going to get in so if you get rid of di also get rid of legacy if you're not willing to get rid of legacy what you're a lot of colleges are well if they are they are if they are then then that's i'm counting on legacy for my kid and i'm getting nervous if these colleges you haven't donated enough these colleges donated a fucking cent i haven't either bro and i'm not because i didn't use i didn't use the if i was a psychologist maybe i'd give them some money but i'm a comedian so i didn't use that education i'm definitely donating i'm just waiting to make sure this is what my daughter gonna be okay that's all i'm waiting no she's supposed to donate that's what they're banking too what do you know when she graduates you mean they want her they want her to make a lot of money and start giving back to the school yeah but they want her daddy to donate now of course they do you're supposed to donate to get her in that's how i'm paying listen tuition is painful but no they listen my daughter's schooling i know shame they asked that early what i'm what i'm trying to say is this and they give they give and by the way comes with perks i ain't gonna sit in and act like it don't come with perks but that's the thing it's like there's a lot of people listen i i totally get the idea of like a meritocracy and you don't want to lose a job to someone less qualified i get that right and you want everything to be even like when it comes to sports or whatever like that hey we're all competing for this thing i completely understand that but there is this version with a lot of people who rally against dei where it's like dei for me but not for thee yeah that's right right and it's like you can't beat a person that's hanging your hat on we got to get rid of dei while you're using it actively that's right so i get that pushback on the hip hop if you're one of those people that were basically like look my kid's not good enough to get in this school he doesn't deserve to be here and i'm also against dei i i don't know if i can say that much to you if you're not if you're not willing to use the nepotism you're not willing to do it i might still say hey there are certain circumstances where this is actually good and it helps build our country and give opportunity to people that might not have it yeah yeah yeah but at least you yourself would be principled man don't be not principled suppose you're dei you get into the top school you go on to have a good career should your kids get that be legacy now now we're talking because yes no well don't get double why not you should get like cndi no no because the argument would be give that spot to somebody else exactly that's not fair well because white men don't have to get into the other i could be a white male and rich i can have a white male privilege and have the money like no i want it all nah nah fuck out man this is how they get like that they're doing the exact thing that spot's got to go to a poor asian kid is what i think exactly no such thing no the di spot should go to the poor asian kids yeah but the legacy spot should still go no legacy no legacy nah you got it it's either di plus legacy or no guys no guys by the way i love power corrupts absolute power corrupts i don't think that's correct i don't think legacy is is is corrupt power they don't think that either i think it's a track i think it's a track record nobody nobody thinks what they do is it's a track record it's a track record i put a lot of points on the board over the years that's got to count for something yeah you want pay to play what's wrong with that what's wrong that is you're supposed to be accepted to this institution based on your merits not based on how much your dad what about your daddy's marriage hey listen now you're talking like those billionaires talk your shit well i'm on my way right what else what else you really did pick the worst time in history to become a billionaire bro you're going to get a billion dollars and then they're just going to kill all of y'all i'm going to be gone somewhere but you know what though it's all about what you do with the money that's all that's literally all it's about your daughter into college all people are asking billionaires to do is the right thing with their money stop hoarding all the wealth that's it i'm trickling down what are you talking about i'm sure billionaires right now i can hear it else this is office chris monroe sarcasm don't uh i'm not a billionaire but i i make sure mine trickle down because i invest in things that i i care about like you don't it's not trickle with you it's rain you're like i'm gonna make it rain here i'm gonna make a rain here i'm gonna make a rain here what they claim is just by existing their whole thing is like just by me existing as a billionaire everyone else is rich too listen and i think that's where people start to go like well hold on man the mental health expo is a free event i've been doing it for six years yeah okay i got a whole round of scholarships going out uh to south carolina state in a couple of weeks okay been doing that for seven eight years as well like it's just like you you know you donate to what you donate to what you want to donate to you donate to what you believe in you hear that guy spare him when he gets a billion man good guy he's one of the good ones i'll never see a billion because i give away too much of it yo talk oh you're good guys hey bro here you go here you go taylor am i am i not a fair no you are but i'm saying but that doesn't mean you're not going to get it though the more established you're going to i can't ever see myself having a billion dollars liquid that's crazy that's even a bigger flexor that means he's going to get it but he's just going to get it i'm going to get it yeah i know by the way that's not even as an individual that's not even a goal of mine it's just that when you're institution building you know what your institutions are worth you know what i'm saying like i'll show you something i'm just saying like you can you can have investments in companies that might have valuations that's how most people get it you see what i'm saying or you could be divorced into it like most women and i'm not saying shut up and i'm not saying that's how women become billionaires they divorce themselves shout out to them though they become a great philanthropist yo melinda gates and um jeff bezos ex-wife yeah what's her name mckenzie philanthropist i mean they give it they give out and you can tell they're only doing it to piss off their ex-husband because they do it that doesn't them off give it away don't think so you don't think he wants her to be broke come on man you're crazy you never go broke with that kind of money man you got to be doing everything wrong to go broke with that kind of money but give it away give it away give it away give it away now what else we got taylor gang she's one which one what if it was what is that one what if village is yeah taylor look look listen i don't know what this is but this is what someone said did you see this oh i did see this funny it's old play this it's old oh it just popped up yeah this is uh with mayor mayor brandon scott bought uh hey i knew the brother's name too he brought this brother from baltimore up to talk oh i said let's play this is so funny you got audio you know how we said take a village to raise a child but what if the village is what you think behind the foot of the guy behind that man scott that's brandon scott salute the man brandon scott from baltimore man he's a run that again but he's right though press play yeah he's in disarray you know how we said take a village to raise a child but what if the village is retarded keep going what do you think it's gonna put these bro seeing that break behind it yo shout out my god what's his name man listen why are we so busy laughing at him and worrying about political correctness when we should really focus on what he's what the merit of what he said it takes a village to raise a child but what if the village is retarded you're gonna raise some retarded ass exactly yeah like we're always blaming these kids for when it's the adults who they're learning it from no better yeah like i'm not mad at nothing he said okay he used the exact word that need to be used man there's nothing wrong with the r word okay there's nothing wrong with the all listen i can use the r word okay i'm the most retarded person you know all right okay all right okay you nobody can tell me i i can't use the r word i remember i was doing that i grew up around nothing but retarded but i was i was doing dac shepherd's podcast and uh his co-host was like i felt a little uncomfortable that i said retarded in the special and she's like yeah but you know you you feel like that's whatever and i was like yeah but you have to understand like my sperm is retarded i was like i can say it like you can't like you don't have retarded why blame it on the sperm just claim it that's me yeah you're no but you're retarded who makes the sperm oh that's right i'm a retard factor i love that i love that i love that you know i want to ask a question but there's no women here except for taylor so i don't want to yo what what does that mean no because it's about hysterectomies and fibroids and all of that type of stuff oh i had a fibroid before you had a fire i have one now it's smaller oh it's small because i was talking about porsche williams right and porsche had a hysterectomy because she had 21 fibroids oh my good lord and porsche has already had a child she wanted more yep you know what i'm saying but she was not able to have more i've had a divorce i have my child and i have a great support system and i'm thinking maybe i want to have another child i've always fantasized about having a little boy and maybe a little sister for her even asking her about it and i ended up going with a friend to see about getting her eggs frozen at our age you know if you want to have kids you got to do that and i said well let me hop on the table you know it's my fertility doctor pretty familiar with her and she started looking into you know doing the exam and she went silent and i looked at the screen and all i could see was like black and then i started seeing some circular lines and i'm like not again not again and so they had come back they had come back she immediately sent me to a fertility specialist within the next couple days when i went to the fertility specialist she was again silenced and when she did the vaginal check she was in shock because everything had pretty much flattened she sent me straight to get an mri within the next two hours and then scheduled a surgery within the next two weeks and it really got me to thinking i don't know why this quote popped in my head but i wanted to ask the question if you already have kids that's just that's the caveat to this that's the context if you already have kids one kid two kid whatever it is if you already have kids is it better to have had a uterus and lost it or to have never had a uterus at all have a uterus how can you have kids if you don't have one at all that's actually what's happening is it better to have had a uterus and lost it to have is it better to have a uterus and lost it than to never had a uterus at all so meaning you had a uterus yeah you had kids but then you end up having to have a hysterectomy and getting removed so you can't have any more charge that just literally happened to my friend what wait just hold on sorry give the hypothetical yeah finish the hypothetical because the other side that means never had kids and never had a uterus is what you're saying whatever side allows you to have kids got you 100 yeah so if you've already had kids and you lose your uterus yeah it's easier to deal with them i can't tell anybody what's easier or harder to deal with but i i can't imagine someone would rather not have a child than have one yes and the women that were calling the radio station this morning that was their thing like they all had grief because they didn't have kids what i noticed was the ones who already had kids dealt with it a lot better yeah even if they wanted to have more they can at least say yo i at least had a child i'm grateful yeah you know what i'm saying so that's that's why it depends off of their mindset they never wanted kids also then doesn't matter that's true too how many women know that they really don't want kids though more increasingly yeah yeah why because of the financials i think i think some i think some of it stems from their upbringing like if they've seen a struggle with their mom being a single parent then they're like oh i don't want kids at all then yeah i will say i know a friend well go ahead you say what uh my girl's never wanted kids and she told me that from get-go really yeah do you think that if y'all had a oh no i gotta see her birth certificate hold on from spain oh very different guys have a question though do you think though if y'all and like she ended up being pregnant you think she'll get rid of it really with y'all relationship and everything do you think if i would think that was no hesitation no i mean because we spoke about it of course do you yeah but still when it's in the happen like it's like i mean come on come on man my man god because i'll be honest five up in heaven you remember how you said remember how you said remember how you said you when you dropped your daughter off you heard the kids screaming you're going to hell man you're going to hell you and al i'll be honest i didn't know oh my god i didn't know if i wanted kids though until i got pregnant yeah and then and then when you're in the it's like shout out to pete you don't ever tell p what the fuck you want guys yes can i say though like in the moment like can you say call p and ask can you say anything you don't dare can you stop don't do that don't you speak on matter okay i'm gonna make sure that p that p gave you permission to speak about true you can't even spell permission without p right okay no stop playing with him you can't even spell playing without p god damn it let the man of the house speak you see what i'm saying you got you got a lot of opinions man but just let him be the one that communicates them don't just be talking yeah you're just talking out here don't you can i explain though when i was in the moment of it it changed like i thought i'd be like oh if i was getting pregnant like nah like if it's not the same situation how i thought it was gonna be yeah but that's it's harder than you said you don't want no more though yeah yeah he said he said he wanted some more kids no it's what you said though after a year it's like okay you can take a breath right yeah a little bit like it is as a first parent like it's really hard um so we hit them every three last our last few was every three years i think that's the right pacing my me and my siblings are four and a half years apart three is perfect i think i think closer because i was five and a half with my brother and it was like there was just a it was a distinct difference in maturity where it was harder to connect on stuff and do things like obviously we're friends but i always felt like an adult compared to him whereas like i even see my kids now and like my two-year-old wants to play and i'm like i don't know i don't know i don't know i don't want to play with the baby yeah they're not that far off and maintenance three years apart it's perfect like i got an 11 year old and my other two turn eight and five literally this week so it's like they're it's perfect like yeah i can't even like they they're i call them the three live crew like they're just perfect it's just a perfect little bunch um what else we got yo ai shit yo it's crazy too i got it i got a hot take on this talk to me which one you talking about which one which one oh i thought we're just talking about like all these companies coming together yes and saying that they need to basically slow this shit down i think this is what's called regulatory capture so what it means is like they're trying to push the government basically the two biggest companies open ai and uh what is the other way anthropic or whatever they're basically going to the government and they're going to go hey we're going to let you in all of our books you can be in all of our shit just shut down all the other ones so we don't have to compete with them that's right and we can do it in the guise of safety not saying that ai doesn't have safety concerns but i don't know if any ai company is really concerned about safety what i think they're concerned about is their bottom dollar so they're like stop making us compete with all these other fringe little motherfuckers shut all them down we'll say that you have access to us and we're you know an arm of the united states government our ipo goes through the roof because now you only got two companies that you can invest in or the other handful that exists right there but i think that's what this is actually about but can you you can't do that it's like all of a sudden these companies that seem to have not cared at all about the concern of ai all of a sudden they're like well guys we got to take it seriously well i i i i agree with you and i i wholeheartedly believe that theory and i've even talked to people way smarter than me about that theory but then my other thought was something happened that they didn't want to tell us about and then that's that's when this shit started to come out the ai model gemini went rogue hacking three companies charlotte something happens every day they don't tell us about that shit probably been happening for a long time i don't know if it's been happening for a long time it's been happening for the last five years yeah but you every you got to tell us if ai is going to tell us well yeah maybe it doesn't yeah you might be right i don't know man i think that whatever they know about ai we're probably too far gone because i had a billionaire tell me one time anything they introduced to the public trust me they already been using for 30 years that's kind of how i feel about technology like if this is what we got man nasa got some man man all right let's take a break and pay some bills feeling short on smiles does your frown need to be turned upside down we got the perfect dose of comedy 30 minutes of scrubs zach braff this chris It's like these woods that are like these deep caves in like, what's the place in America? I can't remember. Subterranean wood? Basically. So it's like woods underground type of shit. That's where I think the Bigfoots are. Yeah, that's probably where they're at, man. You don't believe in Bigfoot? No, he doesn't. It's just a primate in the woods, bro. Get your million dollars in, since you know where they at. Eh, can a man, do I have to, why do I have to get it all? Jesus Christ. Why do y'all want me to have it all? Like, God, why? Let's do some asking idiots, Taylor. Wait, it's not, no, we are not ready yet for that. Because you didn't talk about Taylor Swift being the MTV. Because we don't give a fuck. I thought that was your girl. Who? Him. And you don't be following Taylor Swift no more. Taylor Swift is getting an award, she's going to be the first. Taylor Swift got married in white. White guys dropped her. Wait, what happened? What happened with Taylor Swift? She's going to be the first artist to, or first recipient. Of this MTV Director Award. Yeah. And what does it mean? For her work behind the camera. Yeah. Yo, shout out Taylor Swift, man. She gave like hundreds of millions of dollars in bonuses to her team, and that was fine. And you want to talk about Jay-Z? What'd Jay-Z do? Shut up. What'd Jay-Z do? Oh, documentary, y'all missed last week, so like all that was happening. Oh, I thought the Colin Kaepernick shit. What happened? Catch me up to speed. Well, the doc came out this weekend. The doc was cool. I had my reservations about the doc when I saw it at the premiere. Wait, why? Why? It was really just all because of Rick Rubin. You went? I'm like, why? Like, I understand that Rick Rubin has a reverence for music. I just didn't know if he had a reverence for Jay-Z's music. And when I was watching it at the premiere, like Jay, I mean, Jay carries the doc, right? Like by far, he carries the doc. But Rubin was just pissing me off with some of his questions because it's just like, he just wasn't going as deep as I wanted him to. It was very, very, very surface level. He was playing dumb in a lot of it, too. I don't think he was playing. No, I think he knew a lot of his stuff. I don't believe that, Chris. I see, that's what we do. I don't believe that. I think that he has a reverence for music. I think Rick Rubin can hear any type of music and find the beauty in it. But I don't know if he has a reverence for Jay-Z's music. A lot of the cultural questions he was asking, he knew the answers to. Like what? Give me an example, because I don't believe it. You know, the role of hip hop in neighborhoods and cult. Rick Rubin's been part of hip hop since 1985. But does he live it in that way? Does he live it where he's walking around? Is he Leo Cohen when he was actually walking around those neighborhoods? He was. Was he carrying records with him? He said in the interview, I used to go to Brad's Records in the Bronx. That was the only place you could buy hip hop in New York. New York City in 1984. So it might have stopped after the 80s for him. I thought he was a strange choice. I'll leave it at that. I did, too. I thought, by the way, it could be three. I thought it should have been him, Rick, and Angie Martinez. What is Rick? What is Rick? For sure. He's a producer. He's a guru. Again, I could not know. But my understanding is that he doesn't actually play the instruments, right? He doesn't. So I went down a rabbit hole, because I had some trouble with Rick Rubin in it. So the argument against Rick Rubin. And by his own admission, he doesn't play any instruments. And he has a very hands-off style in the studio. Famously, Johnny Cash's album is one of the albums he's well-known for. He wouldn't go to the studio. He would have them send him the tracks at the end of the day. He wanted to be fresh. He didn't want to be influenced by whatever sort of energy in there. And then he would just give notes. And I think he changes it up depending on who the artist is. But yeah. He's kind of about vibe and energy. But is his skill taste? His skill is taste. And then if I really went into the weeds, a lot of people say he's very accomplished in terms of, and meticulous, in terms of the mixes and the placement of certain sounds and musics. So he has an expertise in the production. Let's say he has a fantastic ear. Yeah, I'm just trying to understand. He's like the white Diddy. Not in a sexual act. I think that's fair. I see that. But you mean, but I'm saying like. Diddy didn't do it. Diddy didn't do any. But Diddy knew a hit. Exactly. Right, right. So Rick's reputation is he understands artists and he puts them in a mind state where they can be their most creative, even if he can't, you know, give specific instructions around a guitar chord or a piano, whatever. And he sits pretzel size. I had to take my, I had to take my interviewer media hat off to really sit back and enjoy, right? Because I'm excited. I'm expecting Rick to do certain things that he's not equipped to do because he's not an interviewer. Right. And I know he had his podcast. What was the name of that podcast? I forget the name, but yeah. Also. I didn't love his podcast. I would point out Shot in Black and White, the special, which reminds me of another interview show. I'll say it. No, out of context? Yeah. Well, you know. A little inspiration right there, maybe. Maybe. Maybe. Maybe. Maybe. Maybe. I mean, I do mine in black and white because I feel like color is important. I do mine in black and white because I feel like colors are distracting. Right. Intimate black and white. And by the way, once again, I think Jay-Z carries it. But when you get Jay-Z that talkative, I need an interviewer that can really pull. Especially when- You can go to the next, because a great interview is the push and the pull with the conflict. Yes. And the challenge and the response to the challenge. Yes. We didn't get any of that in this. Well, we haven't thus far. Thus far, to be fair. And I don't think we- I'm not sure if we will. Like I said, for me, when I saw it at the premiere, I was like, yo, Rick Rubin's pissing me off. But then when I watched the first two episodes, I enjoyed them. Because you get a lot of Jay, right? And he's carrying it. He's carrying it. I think also, for people that don't know much about Jay-Z yet, the documentary is good. It's great. No, see, with Taylor's- Now, see, that is actually 100% correct. I'm a Jay-Z guy. Non-Jay-Z fans are going to watch it. I don't think anyone's going to watch it who's not a Jay-Z fan. It would be very inaccessible. Is it out now? Yeah. I mean, my wife and daughter were there. It's on HBO. It's on HBO. Rick Rubin looks like he's 85 years old. He looks like fucking Santa Claus. And his foot is so fucking big. Yeah. His foot is so distracting. That's distracting to you? It looks like a Flintstone foot. Huh? You haven't seen how he sits? That's what I'm talking about. He's like sitting on his foot, and it's so distracting. But anyway. If you're a 25-year-old hip-hop fan who's heard about Jay-Z, and doesn't watch it. Yeah, you're going to be intrigued by it. I think you press play, and then I think you see this old white guy sitting there looking like a cross between Santa Claus and a beach bum. You see Jay-Z, and you're kind of like, nah, you're going to watch. I'm all right. Nah. If you're into hip-hop, you're going to watch Chris because of the music. So they're playing the records, and you're like, damn. Because I gauged it by being at the premiere and watching how, like, Lauren, Lauren's 34. Nyla's 34. She won. Watching their reaction to it. And, like, some of this shit, they never heard of. Like, they never heard these stories. They never heard. They didn't know Jay shot his brother. They didn't know Jay's relationship with his father. They didn't know the Tupac-Viggy dynamic when Jay is, like, him and Tata pulled up to the club. That was very interesting. All of that stuff is super intriguing to them. And also at the premiere, they get in the 4-4-4, which is this song where he's apologizing to Beyonce. About cheating on her. So, I don't know how deep they're going to go when the actual episode comes. I thought it picked up and I got very, it was a tough first 10 to 15 minutes. Really? Oh, no. He had me from the beginning because the intro, the Dynasty intro, man. The theme song for the Sopranos. Even if they had a different interview where you don't think that he would cut some stuff out if we got too deep. Like, you don't think that Jay-Z's also, like. I think it would be hard to cut around a lot of that stuff. And I think Jay-Z would be more open to talk to. I think Jay-Z would be more open to a lot of the things that he's probably never spoken about because it's through the lens of music. As he said in the documentary, he don't talk. Like, he don't talk, he would never, he would never talk, you know, especially back then and be vulnerable the way he is in records, right? So, he's more comfortable talking through the music. But he's a great talker. He's great. He carries it. That's incredibly interesting, charismatic. So, imagine if he had somebody putting gas on it. Right. Like, I hate the Black because I think that was received pretty well when he was making the Black album. And there was like a huge chunk that he was working with Rick Rubin on. I thought he just did 99 Problems together. Yeah, but they show the whole making of that song. So, I think that was received well. So, he's probably like, "Oh, let's just run it back." I thought it, I mean, listen, it was cool. We haven't finished it. There's six more episodes. I just, I don't know. I just feel like Angie Martinez should have been in the mix to like pull more out, to bind more. You on the payroll, they should have asked you. that's not my job oh my god what is your job huh what is your job on the payroll i can't tell you that's the whole point i can't tell you what it is i actually don't even have a job what else anything else bro one more thing is the mandani thing what was the cabinet thing you said something about cabinet um cappernick that's what taylor said no i said that oh what was the cabinet thing uh he's accusing i can't really follow he said it in that episode rock nation his organization they had tried to plant fake stories about me as part of that we got calls from the the radio personalities and the media personalities around hey this is what we got a call on like is this actually true we got all of those phone calls directly so that's the part that i don't understand the intent there outside of trying to justify the backlash that you're getting from people simple question for any interviewer if somebody says if if cabinet says hey rock nation is playing the stories let's ask them what stories because that would mean the stories are already out there right so what story so you say hey well what stories did they play just ask it's like well what stories did they plant yo because if you know rock nation is playing the stories and you should know what the stories are just ask what are the stories rick rubin looks like dumbledore i just saw a picture of him i've seen him before but this is dumbledore i've seen him before but this is dumbledore i've seen him before but this is dumbledore i've seen him before but this is dumbledore the most with the hair and the beard that's what i'm saying interesting i don't like how yeah that's the guy i kind of but i've seen yeah yeah that's him he kind of looks like big he's gotta look though he's gotta look it's a okay so uh so wait what were we saying with kaepernick so he's saying i don't believe i don't believe rock nation playing stories and if rock nation is playing stories then just ask them ask cap what are the stories oh so you think cap is capping i don't know just ask him do you play do i think cap is yes i do think cap is capping but here's the thing i don't think he's capping i think that's what he's been told oh he believes you know what i'm saying who is making him believe this probably other media personalities that want to be on his good side but my thing is simply this ask him what are the stories wouldn't you ask that if somebody said hey they're playing the stories about you wouldn't you say well what are the stories but yeah i mean and if i'm going to bring it up in an interview i'm going to say hey they were planting stories about me and this was the story i'm going to say hey they were planting stories about me and this was the story you see what i'm saying that's that's that's me personally that's what that's what i would do yeah but if i'm interviewing him i would say well what are the what were the stories yeah what were the stories they planted and has he given any details as to what the stories were no no of course not i mean well what what could the stories be like he i don't know that's what i'm saying like what are the stories what are the stories what would you start what are what have been the negative narratives narratives about colin cabinet i haven't really seen any negative narratives about colin cabinet i haven't seen any negative narratives about colin cabinet i haven't really seen any negative narratives about colin cabinet over the last decade yeah there hasn't been much conversation about but again i don't know i mean of course the negative narrative is the fact that he took a knee what else we got taylor gang y'all didn't want to talk about mitch mcconnell i mean sorry not mitch mcconnell um mondani and trump trying to stop the news stop the news i don't think that's well not stop the news but you know i mean like adding or having cnn come to the white house and all that i i think you're conflating two stories adding two i was so confused and by the way am i i think trump met mom donnie to discuss a building project in like no yeah but sunny side is it sunny side or i'm not too sure yeah no you're right you're right sorry i was i was saying that because um in this video you can't hear um trump at all because the donnie thing man i get why he does what he does but i still can't get with people acting like this is just politics as usual though like not when you see somebody you're like oh my god this is just politics as usual you know like not when you see you know banning independent you know news organizations from the white house then launching what some could say is state-controlled media with trump tv and then mondani is just up there acting like it's just politics as usual like i everyone was talking about how not for what mondani claimed he stood for our stands for so this is the tricky thing i think that seems to be like the i think that seems to be a very common take across both sides of the aisle which is like if there are certain people that are you know so reprehensible that simply by interacting with them in a professional setting you're enabling them etc normalizing or normalizing etc um the other argument is like he has a responsibility mondani to his constituents to build some fucking housing in this city as he sees the price of rent skyrocketing and he's going to need federal funding to do that so this is the cost of doing that and i think that like it's a listen if you don't get another well here's the thing mom donnie this is why mom donnie's kind of interesting he got something the first time he can well what can mom donnie really do mom donnie can't be president no he's not born here so like what is he going to be a senator a governor like a governor is a downgrade to the mayor of new york like i guess a senator but like mayor is better like that's the second most powerful position in government is mayor new york shut the fuck up man it is like so it's like so all he wants is to be a mayor of new york and he's going to be a mayor of new york and he's going to really can do is deliver for the constituents in the city so this is one of those situations where it's like again the political discourse are the people that are going to be chatting about it and making money off of conversations about it are going to make this as you know radioactive as possible but like what does he have to deliver for the people of the city i'm with you but is he gonna get it i just feel like he let me tell you why he probably will okay because all you gotta do is do that and trump gives you what he wants yep to his to his demise all you have to do is ask him for shit and he'll give it to you well you gotta kiss his ass well that's the thing you just gotta kiss his ass and ask him and he'll give it to his demise yeah but i don't want to so it's like i don't want that's always been the book on but but flatter him and he'll it don't piss y'all off when y'all see people like mundani who went so hard against trump now trying to kiss ass no because they're all fake they all they all say what they need to say in order to get shit done what pisses me off is that they're not building any fucking units in new york city that's why they're not building any fucking units in new york there's nowhere to build son there's so many there's places to go where queen all over and there's manhattan yeah you're all over there's there's room they're not building for other reasons man they they already selling 500 square foot apartments for ten thousand dollars a month like what do you want no they're not a hundred square feet but that is no the problem is is supply you make more supply than the demand goes down this is this there's there's no supply a lot of supply in brooklyn man they're putting up new buildings everywhere the prices stay the same because there's demand still you gotta trust me on this one but like the average vacancy i think for a building a huge apartment building in in new york city is something like 10 or or eight percent that means 92 the average time an apartment is on the market is like a week or two right there's insane demand and we're just not building any more of these buildings so you got to find a way to get shit up what again this is those apartments you think are going to be built in new york city by foreign nationals who are just basically stashing the money here um i don't know genuinely don't know yeah i'm curious too i i feel that's a big part i mean that's the whole idea with the pied-a-terre tax right like that's the idea is like you're not gonna just take up an apartment and then just leave it no that was weird that was right yeah right it is i don't know listen i'll tell you one thing too what happened new york gotta get rid of these fucking rats yo what are you talking about thank you do you i don't think you realize how big it's impossible rats in new york city have got yeah they're huge i mean we don't realize we know it yes listen but i don't think you realize how less rats there are that used to be really way less really it's been going down it's been going i don't click click on that link for your nephew all the rats are bigger than those kids on those i'm not even joking you're just figuring this out though no no no no no no you know how when the fucking what's that shit when they take that blow-up doll rat and put it outside the building oh the union that's how them shit look now bro there's real live union rats in these sewers yo son master splinter looked like a baby baby some of these shit when we i remember going to clubs on like the west side back in the day like way west and then we would walk back and there would be so many rats in the street and they were so active like you would walk by some trash on the street and they would start to scurry and they were so confident they would run at you and we would have to jump like it was fucking insanely about a rat huge now hell's kitchen was bad lower east side specifically here first street between first and second there was a meat factory back in the day there and then and now they got like apartments but they never got the meat out or something it is like an infestation over there yo new york got too many rats and too many big dick homeless people no no no the thing about the big dick homeless people is and this is something that i've been talking about for a long time it gave me insecurity by my dick size because the only dicks i really saw in in the wild homeless dicks were huge or pornography dicks and they're about the same size yo i seen a dude taking a piss 5 40 in the morning 50 56 wasn't trying to hide behind no car no nothing right in front of the parking lot and i'm like yo i thought he was pouring something out of a fucking dude yo this motherfucker was holding this shit like this and just letting that shit rip on the sidewalk would you would you hide it though like if you had it like that are you hiding behind a car yo why don't people like that get in the porn or something son they probably were and why do all these homeless men have such huge dicks because if you had a dick that big would you work in life that's the problem you probably felt like you didn't have to you didn't have to do nothing girls are just giving you pussy for nothing so you're not motivated that's right walking around with big dick energy your whole life and you're not even motivated to do nothing big dick energy will make you homeless keep on talking about that big dick energy you're gonna be on the street pissing you're gonna be on the street pissing you're gonna be on the street pissing that's right sometimes i look at homeless people with big dicks and i was just like man couldn't like god just had life meet them in the middle no what i mean no like because you if the shit i'll be seeing take away three four inches there's still like eight right i saw a guy pissing next to a car so they take that and put him a little middle class life no they would probably trade it but they don't realize damn i saw this guy pissing next to a car it was a blue honda accord and i thought he was filling it with gasoline this shit looks so fucking big it wasn't even a gas station there but my brain turned it into he's filling it up with gas do you remember the dude that used to stand outside the 4040 and everybody thought they was getting robbed but he was just a guy with a huge bro he would just pull out his dick and it would be the most shiniest because he'd be jacking off so that shit was always polished like spit shining that move like a like a fucking leather shoe and he would pull that shit out and you would think he was lifting up the shoddy on you bro you'd be like yo i see people throw their wallets on the ground after dude i saw i saw people whistling omar's coming that shit crazy yo can we finally do some asking idiots taylor let's do it held hostage here with you running through topics yeah shout out to all the big dick homeless people in new york man we appreciate you man no we really do that shit is crazy put that shit away bro it's weird oh benji spinosa says is it gay for a regular civilian to get a tattoo of a celebrity or athlete they've never met gay yes for a regular civilian to get a tattoo of a celebrity or athlete they never met i mean look is is jesus a celebrity like nothing he's not a celebrity he's not a celebrity he's not a superstar he's not an athlete nah i don't think it's gay gay isn't the right word um i would have to know why that person inspires you so much to get a tattoo before i judge you i would just like to know why that person inspires you so much to get a tattoo i would just like to know why that person inspires you so much to get a you so much to get a tattoo and how early in their career they they you got the tattoo right oh yeah and how early in their career they they you got the tattoo right oh yeah but he's not a celebrity but he's not a celebrity who he got a tattoo of mine's the king i'm okay he got it on his jerk off who he got a tattoo of mine's the king i'm okay he got it on his jerk off on him wow staring at on him wow you know what are my grades on his form like this more i had a dream yeah i had a queen yeah that's crazy yo hold on that is funny bro alex i had a cream that's crazy yo hold on that is funny bro i had a dream yeah they're white kids and black kids why would you do that how did you know that you jerk off lefty never know you probably got malcolm on that one oh my gosh no dude that's disrespectful you want peace or you that's crazy yeah listen um i don't think it's gay i just i would just want to know your inspiration that's all what is your inspiration for getting the tattoo of the celebrity or athlete also if you get it early in their career like then they blow their knee out say again and they blow their knee exactly like there's something out there with like a greg odin tattoo on their back and you see well i'm sure i'm sure it was mad people in new york they got jail and brunson tattoos but that's deserved if you guys get it of his face what's wrong with you what's wrong doesn't doesn't drake have a uh lebron tattoo that is weird you got too many drake got lebron i think yeah he got aliyah he got stephen curry i think there's he met those people they're safe yeah but that's getting more people you're spreading your bets yeah like if you got it's almost like after you get one or two you got to get sick so it doesn't look like like if you just had one of your friends faces tattooed on you and he's still alive that looks crazy right if you have six or seven then you can be like ah it's a fun thing he does what does the tattoo stand like what does it mean to you nothing i don't have one tattoo anything i'm just i'm asking right here never so deep is the only one because that's my guy dr robert evans my dude dj bless everything else is just like i'm gonna say like i don't jerk off for him my name charlemagne and what else letters you got just a mean looking i got wolverine i mean wolverine means something to me what is that face yeah that's a face everything evil in life it says lust greed envy hate and it has a dollar sign and it's all going up in flames and dj envy that is did you ever want like a sleeve or anything like what a slave sleeve oh what the damn that y'all going too crazy now i didn't i just never saw a point i don't know what that tattoo is that's crazy yo what else we got taylor i do i might i might if i if i had a higher tolerance for pain in my old age i would get all this covered up or removed but i ain't got time for that out alex can you tell us what was the inspiration for your martin luther king tattoo no i just stand by everything he stands for i want peace i want civil rights i want people to love one another a lot respect respect tommy underscore threat says if everyone can hear your thoughts for 24 hours would you still have any friends left yeah absolutely all my friends know my thoughts yeah absolutely my friends you know what i mean they probably wouldn't be surprised by they probably love me they probably love me more because they would be like he really gives a about us yeah yeah you know what i'm saying so why don't you say it out loud then i do say it out loud to y'all all the time y'all just don't receive it well okay i don't have time for y'all in security okay i walk in the room and be like i love y'all and everybody braces up you know what i mean like that's not true you don't say that at all i do tell y'all i love y'all no you don't you say after like a mean comment though yeah you do what's wrong with that mr derrick jr says what movie or album you wish you could watch or listen to for the first time oh this is good oh movie go movie man you know what i watched the other night tell me and i hadn't seen it in a long time and then once again it's so funny that we said because i like watching things with younger people and introducing them so i i watched devil's advocate great movie i watched devil's advocate with with nihilan rubin and that hit harder i mean i've watched it a few times but i had watched it in a long i don't think i watched it in my 40s at all that hits harder bro because the whole movie is rooted in vanity out of all of the sins the devil can use to get you vanity is the one that he gets you with the most and what entry what what intrigued me was at the end of the movie um and at the end of the movie he basically keanu reeves makes the right decision right and as he's leaving you remember the reporter that was in the bathroom talking to him reporter in the bathroom is like man a lawyer with a conscience wow that's a front page news story he was like man you he was like man you're going to be famous and keanu kind of thinks about it he's like man call me tomorrow remember keanu shrugging them off shrugging them off shrugging them off until he goes yo a report a lawyer with a conscience man you're going to be famous and he's calling me tomorrow and then the reporter turns back to the devil and goes vanity it's my favorite sin and it just made me think about how in this era you have a lot of people that are very self-righteous they they they believe they're always doing the right thing saying the right thing right but they don't realize that they've let that self-righteousness become attached to their actual you know what i'm saying so whether they realize it or not when they get on their podcast or they're on their youtube whatever it is you know they're giving these amazing soliloquies about life and these amazing monologues about life and what everybody else needs to do and chastise and all these other people it's like yo you're letting your own vanity get the best of you those likes those comments those retweets those reposts so it's like even though you're doing the right even though what you're doing is rooted in the right thing it still can be attached to vanity that's interesting and i i i didn't catch that all those other times i watched devil's advocate i actually thought he escaped you know yeah even even with the devil coming back in but when he goes vanity that's my favorite sin i'm like oh got him you can really get caught up in stuff be even being the good person oh that's that's what that's easier the most that's that's the virtue that's the virtue signaling you're right um it would be nice to watch interstellar again like i really enjoyed that whole experience like i just loved getting lost in that in that world and like i was just set up so beautifully i love that i just love that interstellar would be amazing oh watching it when you watch those movies with your kids in the future all of that's gonna make you feel like you're watching it again this sounds crazy but like i would love to watch uh end game mm-hmm first weekend it came out again but specifically the first week at like that decade-long build-up and then all of us in that theater for that moment i want to experience that fire yeah yeah yeah yeah i still feel the dopamine high from that when i watch it on tv yeah yeah from the time captain america gets up after almost getting his ass kicked sam on your left oh my god that moment the moment when cap first wielded the hammer oh you know it comes out in theaters again this weekend they're setting us up huh yeah in game comes out in theaters again this weekend with like four extra minutes into some shit like that i mean that just having that moment oh that was fire i can't remember i honestly can't remember the last moment in the theater that was like that what that felt like that um like what well like there was that catharsis in it yeah everybody was cheering oh my god it was fucking incredible like people were losing their minds yeah yeah that's what um what what what's the best possible new scene we could get from in-game encore i don't know i don't like the fact that they're even touching in-game and it lets you know how much marvel fucked up to be completely honest with you the fact that they gotta go back in add shit to in-game just to connect the dots for whatever they're doing in doomsday lets you know how much they fucked up and it's a good possibility they could ruin a classic for us all damn ah that's far because you won't you won't forget how you felt but you will remember how this shit made you feel now you'll be you'll be why would they fuck with this class all right maybe but like you can never take away what that experience was you might forget it eventually but we'll all remember we invested a decade of our lives into this storytelling and they fucking tied the bow perfectly so why untied a bow you untied a bow because you need to make billions of dollars that's whack whether it's whack or not you're not going to take away it's like jordan going to the wizards didn't take away what we saw him doing them both yeah and it's like remixing a classic it's like when you heard that classic it still hits the same way but the remix is never as good like you don't have to go back you shouldn't have to go back in the end game i feel explain where we're going i feel what you're saying but at the same time everything they've done after endgame hasn't really hit so that's their fault all right so maybe this might correct it i don't think so bro i could be completely wrong i want to be wrong i just and by the way i'm going to see endgame again in the theater i need to see these extra scenes i don't know not i'm going to see these extra scenes i don't know i'm going to see these extra scenes i'm going to do this is what i'm gonna do i'm gonna wait for you to do it and then if you tell me nah that shit was worth it then i'm gonna do it it's only like four extra minutes it is interesting if you have that type of influence over me it's like i know how passionate you are about it and the passion and i guess my trust in your taste has an influence over me yeah it's but it's it's the passion if you just say go watch this thing but it's not something you care about you're like oh here's a new show i don't know if i'd watch it like if you're like oh i watched widow's bay which is fire by the way if you said that i'd be like maybe i'll watch it maybe i won't but i know how much you fucking love comic books so you being inspired to go watch it might make me go lanterns is fire lantern lanterns is fire there's nothing no watch lanterns fire yo james gunn bro i ain't gonna say all that now james james ago james ago tell me tell me to miss super girl directed superman superman was fire it wasn't i can't call it a miss you hating bro superman was i can't call superman a miss superman is fire it's the hardest superhero movie to make he's invincible you have to convince us that there's vulnerability outside of him some kryptonite what are you talking about yeah but it's like oh i'm gonna throw some kryptonite shit it's boring like oh here's a rock like basically you have to create circumstances of humanity around someone who has none of the circumstances of humanity around someone who has none of the circumstances of humanity and that motherfucker does it bro it's and he's the goat bro it is crazy how they wasted so much time like trying to keep superman away i'll put superman in just give everybody little pieces of kryptonite you tell them walk around with this shit like it's one of these fucking you know precious gems you know what i mean like fluoride in the water that's it that's all that's all lanterns is fire but in peacemaker's fire i think james gunn might be better at tv yeah i think no guardians guardians of the galaxy guardians is guardians so remarkable that we think it's separate from marvel i love guardians you're crazy if you don't think kind of bugging you're bugging if you don't i love guardians but we keep saying guardians guardians better than trilogy what's the other it's amazing what's the what's the other movie james is knocked out the park you can't do a whole trilogy of movies well you know what don't let me take that back because people are going to be like oh my god james is not going to be in the movie peacemakers two seasons one hour a piece episode i haven't watched peacemaker but good guardians out of here see you later peacemakers on the peacemakers on guardians level that's i've been told peacemaker might be better than guardian no you're bugging bro the first two seasons of peacemaker fire bro put it put it this way name another director that has knocked out the park a trilogy whoever did uh christopher nolan it's you that's it you can't even say that about the godfather no you can't even say that about the godfather no you can't even say that about the godfather no you um uh the russo brothers did they do a trilogy of iron man did they do i don't think iron man three war and they did both in games no that's two and also that's an extension of that which they knocked out of the park don't get me fucking wrong but i'm talking about give me one trilogy just christopher nolan only rather than anything so so now we're talking about the guy that is the best and then the other guy that is the best james gonna have the best it was gonna good brother so that was a great it was it's great he didn't do part three though yes did he who did i think he like co-directed i thought he did two no but i definitely did i don't know if he did three and he might did he do thor no he ever did thor no let's see did james gunn do guardians three let's see some people would say the star wars trilogy oh yeah like and that's lucas right yeah yeah the first three yeah did james gunn do guardians three uh yeah he wrote and directed guardians galaxy three yep okay i don't know i mean listen i like james gunn i just supergirl was there supergirl should have been a tv show he didn't do the supergirl that's what i'm saying he didn't do supergirl no but he was overseeing it though like you can't do that because then that's like the russo brothers then we're gonna say the same thing about him or whatever that movie was that uh what's his face oversaw jordan peele like jordan peele oversaw that movie but you're not gonna put the the quality of that movie on jordan peele a lot of people do but i don't think that's fair it's different when you're in the trenches and you're creating and you're writing and you're building and you're executing these scenes then then simply looking at the script liking it and then letting somebody else create that vision but then the russo brothers because i don't think i think they only directed one but they just oversaw the whole mcu but you guys give them credit for that i i never mean the russo brothers did in game and infinity war yeah i give them credit for infinity war yes they did and they're doing um and they did a civil war and they did they definitely did civil war in game and infinity war i forgot what the other ones did and they're doing avengers secret wars and doomsday no they're beasts let's do a couple more and move on man what you got tale again they did they did oh yeah you're right my bad yeah they did infinity war and which one else what other ones look at you they did um winter soldier civil war infinity war end game and then they're doing doomsday and secret war see they did all the fire shit from winter soldier and civil war oh my god you got to put them up there you got to put this oh yeah call me.ow.x create a super villain based off an std what are their scrimps and weaknesses i'm gonna be honest with you ain't nobody scared of stds no more that's the problem back in our day you see what i'm saying death sentence what std bruh that's especially you say no one's scared of them anymore everybody said no stds no more you don't even hear about back in the day we were scared of crabs son you know what i'm saying like everything used to terrify us gonorrhea you didn't want to fucking you know burning you know what i mean then you started hearing about chlamydia it was like the clap so you think they're non-existent no more no but would you want your cheeks just clapping randomly damn you didn't know that's what chlamydia did to you all right create a super villain off std i don't think there's no committee super villain committee it could sound like one like oh watch out for the chlamydia what if there was a what if it was yeah no gonorrhea sounds scary no it's not no if it goes away from a pill we're not really tripping you don't hear nobody talking about gonorrhea no more when the last time you heard somebody say they had gonorrhea yeah but who's talking about it though you would think in this world where everybody's chatting they don't even got commercials for when we were growing up there were you see what i'm saying tv now you don't even see them anymore yo the age commercials look like rom-coms imagine how much you got to pay get paid to do those brother because there's actors doing that the one that got the butterflies surrounding you like it looks pleasant they don't even give out the free condoms they don't they don't give us free condoms nobody's scared of st nobody's fucking ain't no way these kids don't fuck bro i'm fucking these kids don't fucking what the fuck are we gonna waste money on you're not in college no more so y'all don't know these kids don't fuck std nobody's scared of stds y'all i don't know why go get some pussy man i'm married so i can give a fuck less you know what i'm saying when's the last time you saw a teen mom they can't even make a show damn yo that's a good ass point man they need to bring that show back you know but they what they are doing now with team mom though they're just the moms are already where team moms are just showing their success that's because really yeah fucking yo that's so true that was the wildest show on television mom was the wildest shit i can't i'm I can't even create a super villain based off of STD 'cause there ain't nothing scary no more, yo. more let's do one more tale pick a good one tell the gang does crystal have a phobia of mopeds yes yes the the guy actually wrote vroom vroom he wrote that oh this is a good one as a black human in an interracial relationship the discount is black love i've never been in the interracial relationship show test i mean it counts for the the other race like the other race clearly has black love oh yeah yeah yeah yeah yeah yeah yeah so you've had black love before every week with you baby shut the fuck up shut the fuck up dr umar would not agree with it why you ain't let us answer the question okay all right let's end with the other one then come on this is the last question who would you rather have met tupac or michael jennings michael jackson yeah you're fucking mine i don't know over tupac that's tough tupac i feel like like it's a tough that's tough y'all are really crazy he's a tough one the greatest entertainer in history or tupac it's a i mean come on bro which michael jackson would you meet tupac is a cultural icon yeah like tupac up there with bob molly bro all around the world i'd rather meet bob molly you know why why are you bugging yo you're not hating on tupac i'm just telling you like i don't see tupac at the same Summary:

FAQs

Carvana allows customers to buy a car entirely online and have it delivered directly to their door. The process is fully digital, with no need to visit a physical dealership.

Carvana offers a seven-day return policy, allowing customers to return the car if they're not satisfied. This gives buyers a risk-free way to test the vehicle before committing.

The phrase 'Free Palestine' is a political slogan with varied interpretations—some view it as a call for Palestinian self-determination, others as a demand for the elimination of Israel. Its meaning depends on context and who is using it.

Kraft allegedly objected to Macklemore's onstage speech supporting free Palestine, citing concerns over its political implications, though the exact reason remains debated and context-dependent.

Many see it as a peaceful call for Palestinian rights and self-determination, especially when used in a non-violent, inclusive context. Others interpret it as a call for the destruction of Israel, leading to controversy.

Institutions like stadium owners can restrict performances based on political content, raising concerns about censorship and the suppression of free speech in public spaces funded by taxpayers.
