You see, I was researching 21st century Earth customs and I happen upon this old tradition. I thought that looks fun and it would be a good way to document my scientific findings. For instance, last week I was experimenting with a beamer technology and I added a temporal element to it. And to my surprise, I accidentally beamed a human male from the year 2016 aboard the Thrifty. Say hello, Chris. Hello there. How you doing, Meow Meow? I am good. Now, Chris, you've been here a week. That's right. That's right. Um, for our listeners, let's let them get to know you a bit better as I have. Your name is Chris. That's an Earth name, am I correct? Um, yeah, that's an Earth name. Yes, well, do you have a full name? Is Chris short for something like Christiana or some sort of. That's, it's close. We'll go with, uh, it's Christopher? Christopher. Mr. Topher. I am aware that Earth people tend to be a little bit. I am aware that Earth people tend to have middle names. Do you have one of those as well? I do. It's, uh, Gregory? Greg. Uh, it's very futuristic. Very, um. It's very. nice. Yes. Yes, well, I imagine anything would look nice compared to 2016 on Earth. Just a side note real quick. It's fake, right? I mean, this is. We've been over this a few times now. I'm sorry, I just. You look like a dinosaur. Well, my species comes from the planet. And we resemble, I suppose, if you must put a label on it, an Earth Velociraptor, I guess would be the closest thing. What, uh, what was that planet name again? The planet? Yes. My planet. Okay, it seems like you're just screaming right now. There's really no good translation for it. It's the closest. Just a bunch of A's, maybe? I suppose if it were written on a tablet, that would be the closest. Yes. Okay, that's. You try. No, don't say that. That's terrible. Oh, if you weren't my pet, I wouldn't. Okay, that's something we have to go over. Right. Pet. You keep calling me pet. Okay. Let me explain to all our listeners. Regulation 412.37b clearly states, any sentient entity born from a science experiment shall be adopted as a pet by the conductor of said experiment. The conductor was me, therefore you are my pet, legally. So, not just a crewmate? No, unfortunately, you are ineligible for being a crew member due to A, being born of a science experiment, and B, from the year 2016. I wasn't necessarily born, so to speak, of a science experiment. I'm pretty sure my mom and my dad. Oh, it's a manner of speaking. It's, um, how do you say? A phrase, a, uh, soliloquy, if you will. Okay. So, I was beamed up here, hence me being born. Yes. Um, 2425. Oh, okay. Um, all right, enough about that, I suppose. How are you finding your living quarters? Um, it's, it's great little hard. Um.
