I mean, it was giving childhood, you know. It was giving childhood, which is crazy because they've only lived here like 10 years. [LAUGHTER] Yeah, I'm up, like in the top of the house, he has like his study, and it's where he makes his puppets. And I said, do you mind me showing the world some of your puppets? And he was like, please, be my guest. So here it is. Well, it's where the magic happens. Yeah, it's a real workshop. Like he, it's crazy. Oh wow, yeah. Isn't that mystical? If you're just listening, we've got some very esoteric puppets. He just made this one for me. Whoa. Of a man with a mullet, and some tattoos. And it's nice blue eyes. Beautiful blue eyes, terrified of, a bear. Oh, I wonder what inspired that? The bear story, the bear portal, the bear video, I-- Oh, yeah. Oh, you were doing it. That was, I was-- Do you think you could activate the connection? [LAUGHTER] I was like, well, I don't know if you remember a little thing about the bear portal. How can I forget? Yeah, so I want to incorporate these into my special, which I'm taping on Sunday in a couple of days. So-- I can't believe you're already taping a special. Dude, I know. That's exciting. I'm so, like, unprepared. Oh, really? Oh, I don't know. Because do you usually tap right after you've been touring? Like, it's fresh in your mind. Oh, yeah. I'm going to be-- I start-- I pick up my tour again right around now on this early August, and go and pretty hard until mid-to-member, and then I film it. Yeah. I got to get it just done while it's been fresh and worked out. And I don't want a big space between anything. Yeah, I'm like, I don't even remember who I was when I wrote that show. But I'm going to refresh my memory. I'm doing a few warm-up shows. Oh, that's good. Yeah. Yeah, I like to do-- I like to do shows leading up to it, so it's just there. So it's how you film it. It's just, like, second nature. Muscle memory, I'm hoping. But I am filming some-- I'm putting improv in it. So that's a-- Oh, really? Wild card. I mean, with anyone? Yeah, with my friend Matt, because I talk about him in the show, and then we run tour together. But I think I'm going to film it in a way that if it sucks, I don't have to use it, because it is risky. I think that's good. I think that's good. If you should have your material ready to go, have enough that you know you're covered. Yeah. But also, you can lift a story if need be and add the improv if it works. Yeah, I think that's what I'll do. Yeah. It's hard to film improv. He kind of lose the magic at the moment. But I don't know. I think it could work. I think-- Well, take a look at Ben Schwartz. He has an improv show on Netflix that he did live. It's so good. But I'm like, is there a reason that there haven't been any sense? Because I don't know. It's weird that there aren't more, you know? And probably it's the best. But I'm hoping it works. I think it'll be really good. Well, you'll film it and see. And it could be one of those things where all of the elements come together, and it works. And it could be that you're just like maybe not for the special, but for something else. Yeah, totally. You could always take what you filmed and release it online if it ends up not being for the special. That's a cool idea. There's multiple uses of it, YouTube. YouTube, we love YouTube. Yeah, that's cool. Yeah. Well, I feel creatively inspired because I'm in this weird little workshop. We got a lot of pictures of this is my picture of my mom, when she was like 19. Oh, blah, blah, boom. My mom, thank you, pardon. And then he said you're pardoned. And then I think that's my great grandfather there. That painting, that painting used to be in my grandma's house. And it's eyes follow you. And I thought it was haunted. And one day it just fell off the wall. So yeah, it probably is. Yeah, I don't doubt it. Yeah. Are you around all your childhood stuff? There, you're in the south. Yeah, my mom doesn't live where I grew up. Yeah, she's in the same hometown, but not the same house. So all the stuff I had, either I brought it to my house in LA or it's deep in the closet somewhere here. Yeah. Wait, I haven't even talked to you. I mean, I'm like, should we save this for a full app? But how is the insane press tour for the Hawk and everything? It's number one on Netflix right now. It's so fun. It's great. It's always fun to talk about a show that you love doing and love the cast. I did some stuff by myself and some stuff with the cast. And that was super fun. It's that classic throwback will-faryl character that he does. And a lot of people have been reaching out saying that they really enjoyed it and it made them laugh. And that's the goal with the comedy like that. You're not like writing a comedy like that to like, it's not Emmy speeches. It's like, let's be silly and make people giggle. Yeah, the joke ratio is crazy high. It's so silly and warm and positive. And you're so good in it. You're really great in it. Yeah, yeah. You too. It was fun to see us try to be tough, guys. Yeah, I still feel embarrassed. I feel like I'm acting like I'm in the department. I'm like, I forgot that I was in a comedy. You're just still, that's what you need, different levels. Yeah. People enjoyed you changing it up with the dark hair. I think some people didn't realize it was you for a bit. Because I didn't have my golden-- Yeah, your luscious blonde locks. They just, they were going to have me wear a wig. And when they put it on, it looked so insane. They ended up just spray-painting it black. So it was just thick black paint. But are you getting tons of messages? Yeah, a lot of people watching it. It's funny, a lot of-- I've been bopping around from-- had a bunch of New York press. And then went to North Carolina. And in the process of those two places, a lot of people go on, hey, I literally just watched you on TV last night. They're almost like, what are you doing here? Yeah, like you walked out of their TV and into a live-- You walked around another TV, so. But yeah, it's fun. It's cool when you tell a new show comes out. You're getting people's feedback from it. And yeah, it's just-- it hasn't been out too long, so people are still fine in it. Well, it's super juicy. I'm excited. Thanks. Benjed it. I watched it in Yellowknife. I was on vacation, and then I did a music festival in like Guelph, Ontario. And then I flew to the Northwest Territories, like truly the arctic, which light-- I saw it, it feels so bright at midnight. So bright at midnight. But there's wildfires, so the smoke was so thick that I couldn't-- you couldn't really leave the hotel in the day, so I benched it. And I also watched the World Cup final by myself screaming. Were you watching it? Oh, yeah, for sure. Did you scream? Yeah, I was up on my feet, like everybody. Dude, I feel like similar to how I felt when Aubrey won Survivor. I got invested as the game went on, and I was like, this is becoming a battle of good and evil. Like the way they were playing, like Spain played so well. And yeah, Argentina was pretty aggressive. Pretty feisty that team, yeah. Yeah, it got crazy. But it was cool to see Spain take home the trophy. Just because Argentina won it last time, I like to see it change up. Yeah, and just in like a young 19-year-old player, so great. And the laminium all? Yeah, that's it. You're my only friend who's also into this, by the way. Oh, I love it. I've been missing it. I know, it gave structure to our lives. It did, and one of the few things that everyone-- not everyone, but so many people were watching it the same time you felt like connected to people. I know. I know. I think we should maybe get into watching Premier League Soccer, like the British. Yeah, I just never know what is on. I know. We'll look into it. What should we get some questions? Have you it's funny the word sounds like a hiccup or something? I know it took me a while to figure out how to say it, but we filmed there For a couple days. Yeah, it's got a lot of my friends went to university there So my memories are of going up there and Been drinking. Yeah, I just teens I just walked around the downtown lovely. Um, okay film or TV character That represents us Okay, I know who I want it to be. Okay. Is Chris Chambers from Stan by me River Phoenix in that movie. He's so cool But that's like aspirational. Yeah, which is crazy to say that it's aspirational for me to be a ten-year-old boy But the vibe you like the vibe. He's so cool in it He's got he's just and he's kind of a soulful Leader of his group of friends. I just I wanted to be him so bad, but realistically I'm probably burned from that movie who's always like no, I forget the secret password God, I'm gonna watch that movie again. It's been years since I've seen it You have to you've referenced it a couple times and I'm like I need to go back and see what you're referencing Cuz it's been too long. I think realistically. I'm like the candlestick and um beauty in the beast because I'm like Sort of frantic and sweating and trying to invite people to events and be like oh yeah. Yeah. Yeah. What about you? Be our guest be our guest put our service to the test. Yes. That's a great song. God, it's good. Who would I be? gosh Probably uh, Kathy baits his character and fry green tomatoes. I thought you're gonna say in misery I that's that I would be her if I was straight if I was a straight woman that that got married And was unsatisfied that wouldn't be me that wouldn't that could have easily been my life I've never seen fried green tomatoes is so good. But again, aspirationally I'd love to be itchy itchy, but uh from that from that movie. Mm-hmm. How do you spell itchy? Uh, I said IDG. Why? EG fried. Played by Mary Stewart Masterson. Oh Yeah, she's cool. Oh my god. She was so cool in that movie and there was all these lesbian undertones between her and I forgot the other characters name Helen. I'm not sure. Okay. Yeah going, you know, but she was just like so cool and I was more like Kathy baits pissed off of my husband who would get invited to a party to look at vaginas in a mirror and can't see it. Wait, is that that happens in that movie? Yes. What? I thought it was a kids movie. No, god no. The movies go back. The movie flips back from old times to current times, but like when the movie current times being like 25 years ago, I can't remember why. Oh my god. Okay, I got to watch it. And Jessica Tandy is in it. I look. Do you know this generation doesn't know who Jessica Tandy is and it pains my heart. That she missed me. Pass me by somehow Jessica Tandy. You don't know Jessica Tandy. No, no, no. Oh god, man. I'm killing me. Jessica Tandy. Oh yeah, I recognize her. Okay, no, but I don't. I know. She's it's fine. I'm old, but god, she was amazing. I also feel like I kind of relate to. I don't know if you remember in Return of the Jedi. Yeah. Jab of the Hut has a little kind of monkey sidekick who's kind of grotesque and it's like on his and it's like a little puppet on his shoulder. And I always related to that guy a bit forget his romantic ones you relate to. Yeah, that's my sort of internal landscape and that outside I want to be like Chris Chambers. Yeah. Should we hear Lily's answer? Uh-huh. What if she says your character from the Hawk? They call him the hog. He's a golfer. The greatest golfer in the world. It's a fun theme song. We're really good. By the way, may the character you're referencing from Star Wars is Salacious Be Crum. Salacious Be Crum. That's right. I one time bought a puppet of him to give to my brother. Salacious Be Crum. What a name. Yeah, and you never hear that name in the movie, but that just is his name. I'd never knew that. My answer would be Michael Scott from the American version of the office. Ignoring how culturally and appropriate he is, he's a super empathetic person who really just wants the best for everyone, even if he has an unorthodox way of showing. He's super awkward, but like in a headstrong, cheerful way. So yeah, that's what I think. I can't wait to hear your guys' answers. Nice. Keep an handsome. Cool. And just watching your 100th pretty little episode. Congratulations. My question is, do you have a bucket list? And if so, what are some examples on your list? I've never written one down. Have you written one down? But I have things. You do? Oh, yeah. I want to go to Antarctica. Oh, yeah. Chelsea just went there. I know. You should ask her about it sometime. Because there's only a small window when tourists can go. Otherwise, it's just scientists that live there. And they get weird. There's a documentary about them where where our Herzog went to make a documentary about the Arctic. And then the people, the scientists there were so weird. He started making it about them in their life. So that would be cool. I'd like to go to that extreme kind of environment. He saved Joaquin Phoenix once from a car. Yeah. He flipped a car. Or did you tell us that? Or did I read that? I think he read that. I must have read it. He flipped his car on one of the canyon. And Joaquin did. And he woke up to Warner being like, "What's up, man?" He would be like, "This is unatrocity. I have to save this man." That's how he taught time. I think he said Joaquin asked for a cigarette. That was not the time. I think that was part of the story of something weird like that. So Ann, article, what else? I would love to spend time with bear cubs. I watched a lot of videos of pandas and baby bears and stuff. I'd like to do a kid's movie. Well, yeah, there's so many things. What about you? Oh, gosh. Bucket lists. Bushcraft. I'd like to build a shelter like a cabin with my bare hands or something. That would be cool. Okay. Oh, you've really thought these things out. I don't have a bucket list of, I feel like a lot of things that I wanted to do I did. You're right. I'd like to, yeah, I'm done. I'd like to go to Japan. I've never been. That would be cool. I'd like to write a book one day. Oh, I would love to read your book. I just need to live a little bit more life, I think. Yeah. You got to go to Japan and then write the book. Go to Japan first, then write book. Yeah. It'd be good if your book, if you wrote the book, if it had sections that were the equivalent of you bursting into song, but they just all of a sudden, it was it's capital letters like a trove all night. Well, you never know that might end up in there. It'd be fun to take my mom on another cruise. I'm hoping that could happen. Yeah, that would be great. Another gay cruise, preferably. That's her preference too. Really? She was, she's never going back to she loves this. She loves those gay men. They treat her like a queen. Yeah, as they should. My bucket list is just to enjoy life and be happy. Yeah. And any adventures that come my way in that pursuit, I'm pumped, I'm going to be pumped about. Yeah, you want to say yes to things. Yeah, I mean, travel travels huge. Yeah. You travel so much anyway, but I know. Would you ever, we've talked about, you wouldn't skydive a bungee jump, right? That's the, no, that is not my bucket list. Nothing, - With nothing to adventure seeking, I don't want that. I, people who, you're out of your mind if you're doing, if you're jumping out of a plane, I can't, I can't get on board. Mm-hmm. I don't want any part of that. No. So yeah, my bucket list is a bit tame. I feel like people have these big lofty things usually, but I feel like so many of my dreams have been attained that it's hard to reach for more. It's very nice, but you deserve the world. You deserve the world, you deserve the world, you deserve the world, you deserve the world so expert. Well, I'm preaching it bad, too. Is, is, is playing on survivor on your bucket list? No, I, I would ruin it for myself, I, I'd, I'd be such a rack, I can't do it. I would definitely like to continue to watch it though, that's on my bucket list. Okay. I'd like to be on, going traders, that would be fun. Oh, yeah, I get to you doing that. Oh, well, obviously on our handsome bucket list is us three hosting the Oscars together. That, truly, yeah. That would be, that would be a good one. I mean, where do we start with our, with our list, I mean, there's a building, I mean, the list is full of, I'm thinking list things, yeah. But we literally made no attempt to get ahead of, I know, we've got to start small and just do one little thing. I think we're starting too lofty with the wellness weekend, I could, I feel like we need to start small, but yeah, we do good to schedule podcasts. First, we got to schedule some podcasts, you're recording. That's hard. And we're doing a wellness weekend, we better record at least two podcasts. That's true. That's a good way to, to do it, except you and I will be in a terrible mood because we haven't had any cheese or like hungry. Yeah.
