I wanted to do a low and slow cook, 275, but in my franticness of the morning, I'm worried I put it in at 375, so when she gets back from the park, hey, with the girls. Is she at the park? Yeah, she's going to the park today, not the library. Which is good. She's going to confirm that, uh, it's at 275, not 375, I will say, I miss manage time this morning. That's okay. It's why I'm in my workout clothes. I didn't have time to, uh, I didn't have time to shower. You know what? That's a good sacrificial lamb is your outfit. Good job. Like, if you use something else to sacrifice, I'm really happy that your outfit was what it was, because I know the outfits mean a lot to you. Um, yeah, well. But dinner tonight will be delicious. We're having it with the neighbors, obviously. We're having, as we call a family dinner, um, assuming we live on liquid death avenue. We, we're having, we call it a liquid death dinner, um, and the reason I'm glad Maria went to the park and not the library is because she's close to home and we're supposed to get a, our, our new floral sectional, you guys, which I will post, just like an obscene amount of photos of, um, gets delivered today and I'm, it's my, it's my number one thing we ordered for the house that I'm most excited about because it's going to take that room from like, a six to a 10, I think, because it's going to close that room is not a six, but so functionality wise. So thank you. Thank you very much. Thank you very much. No, the best scene in the house doesn't have a chair and it's the one that faces the kitchen. I thought that room was a nine. I like to core wise. It's great. Okay. It, it functionality wise, like, where do you cozy up and sit? I thought that room was a nine for the last six months. She's been saying she doesn't love it. And I love that you took ownership of designing it now the way you like. Yeah. I really, thank you for the support because I love that room. I love that room too. I think the floral couch is amazing. I'm sure it will be. It needs, listen, I think the floral couch we got is not as cool of a print as the current floral couch, but here's the thing you guys. We also get the keys to a new office today, so you've got to own it. You've been complaining about that room for months. No, no, it needs to be a sectional. It's the one room in the house that you consistently come back to. I don't like the word complain, but you can just come back and be like, we can do better. We can do better. And I've just said, I don't know how we can do better on this room. And you took it over. So I bought into your vision. I think it's going to look great and I'm excited for it to come. But I need everyone to wait for my vision to fully come to life because here's the thing. I've also, I've also gotten around orchid situation that arrives on Sunday. It's fake. I hesitate to tell people that I'm into fake orchids. Now I can't keep anything alive. It's like a very good. It's a big round ball. Okay. So it'll always stay on the coffee table because the coffee table needs some height. Then to meet the height, we've got this beautiful, large bronze chandelier with like globes on it that's coming. Yeah. And then we need drapes. We've got to wait on the vision like the couch isn't just it. I think a bigger of the week that we never actually had that I feel like we can now bring to the surface would have been fake flowers versus real flowers. So I don't like fake flowers. Okay. But. But what I realized was number one, it was getting just expensive. Number two, I love, I love flowers. So do I. So I figured, okay, you can go to paragold.com and you can get some like, and my mom had a couple of these around a couple. So the key is high low. So like some of your flowers are fake, but they look really, really good in you. It's a one time fee. And then for years, you've got the fake flowers. So the tape are our dining room table has fake tulips on it. Everyone thinks they're real. So that's what got, that's what completely got me over the edge is these tulips that you got for the kitchen table. They look so real that this week, Frank, the painter was asking about the flowers. It's like, where do you guys get these flowers? They're so nice and they have the fake water and like they're fake, it's like, no way. So yeah, I'm, I'm totally on board with the, with the high low, a base of a couple of flowers. Yeah, sorry. High low is not the right word. Like, it's like real fake. You mix. So I think high low is kind of the right word, but we'll always have fresh flowers, not always. But if I'm have, if I'm on top of my stuff, we have fresh flowers on the table in the living room and on our kitchen island. And then we're going to have the fake orchid and the fake tulips and like that to me is really good. It's a mix. Do you want to talk cooking for a bit here? Well, let's start the podcast. Okay. Welcome back to another episode of two parents and a pod cast podcast. Do I always say podcast? Yeah. I'm losing it. The third trimester, like it's really, it has arrived. It's the shortness of breath. My friend Courtney actually sent me this video yesterday and she was like, I don't know if this is AI, but it's making me feel better and it's this, it's this doctor and he's like the shortness of breath. It's good. It means like your baby's taking your oxygen. The waddle, it's good. It means your hips are opening up. Your feet swelling. It's good. It means your body's draining your nutrients. Now it's like I'm having all of these. So it's very, the third trimester is just like really year. I got to give you some, some flowers right now, some real flowers, not fake flowers. Okay. So I was working out with a friend this morning and they asked how you're doing and I said, I said you're doing, you're doing great and I, and I think part of why you're doing so great is you've really come up with a great schedule for the third trimester and how you're feeling. And it's like, I don't know if you want me to say the schedule, you want to say the schedule. Well I got to give you the flowers back because I came to you Sunday night and I said I'm frustrated. I don't feel like I'm making the most of my time and I don't know what to do. And you said, why don't you write out a schedule every day? So every morning age, I don't know if you know that I've been doing this but I get up and I get my journal out and I, I literally buy the hour right out my schedule. And, and one of those hours is like, sit on the bed on the heating pad with your legs up. Like, that's an hour and do you know what that's done for me? It's made me so much more productive. That was literally, that's what I said to him. I was like, rather than fighting the tiredness, what she's done is she's like carved out time where she can be tired and she's like, ended her social calendar past 5 p.m. And so like, everything she's doing is between the morning and 5 and within that she's finding her like her hour to put her feet up and like, that's allowed her for all the others hours. That's a lot of for all the other hours of the day to just be like really dialed in. And I know too like, because today my nap is at 1 I think. It's like, give it all the gas until 1 and then I know I can recharge and then I can wake back up, but what I did see, I saw a post on, oh, it was my friend Katie Beach. She said, third trimester tired is way worse than newborn tired because she had just had her baby, right? And so she was like, pregnancy tired is worse than this newborn tired. And one of the comments said, yeah, because with newborn tired, when you take a nap or you rest, it actually recharges you. But with third trimester tired, when you take a nap, it doesn't do anything for you. It just helps you live to fight another hour. Like you don't actually wake up feeling recharged. You just wake up not falling asleep in your chair. Interesting. I thought about what I was going to say earlier because you mentioned a past bicker of the week. And I was talking to your mother last night on FaceTime. She was like, I got to talk to you about Harrison not drying off in the shower. That was like, yeah, what about it? She's like, his father does that. She's like, I don't do that, but his dad does that. And she's like, so now at Whistler, he also does it in the hot tub. So she's like, I've just stopped fighting and she's like, pick your battles. What she does is she'll line the hot tub path to the bathroom path with towels because she just knows he's going to walk on it wet. There's also, I'm not sure if you've noticed a really like big, like the mat when you come in from the hot tub. Uh-huh. Is massive. And that's probably why. Yeah. She was like, I just gave up on that one. And so now I just line everywhere with towels and I was like, dying laughing. I was like, yeah. I think my dad and I as defense, like we think we're dried off. You are so cute. Our definition of dried off is like, we'll like, we'll go in and like, we'll do a pat down. We just like won't get our percentage to zero. It's so funny. But by our definition, it's zero. If you don't know what we're talking about, we always do a bicker of the week. And I don't remember how many episodes ago it was. But it was dry off in the shower or pull a Harrison and just dry off around the room. That's not. I think correct. No, it's not. It's not incorrect. And then the other bicker of the week that I would like to talk about, Harrison's on a bit of a health kick I would say and I just got to give it to you because I'm just watching you from afar and I can see how good you feel. But we had talked about the other week if running five miles on a treadmill was the equivalent of running five miles outside and the comments are house divided on this. But it reminds me so we haven't solved that bicker of the week yet. But it reminds me of your way to invest you got. And I posted a video of us walking to the story yesterday with the way to invest and a lot of the comments are inquiring like do you like the way to invest? How much weight is in the way to invest? And I think one thing you should discuss is how you've changed your way to invest. Yeah. What about all these benefits of the way to invest? I got a way to invest and I really didn't like it. And one of the many reasons I didn't like it is you you had to put the weight plate in and it had a Velcro at the bottom. And so twice the weight plate fell out and hit me in the toe and it like it didn't injure me. But it hurt and you and so you could only walk in a very slow pace with it. It was just like, you know, the vibe and then Frank, the painter who I feel like we're not talking about a lot. He was talking to me about his way to invest and he showed me the one he got on Amazon and so I ordered it and we're 24 hours in. I actually the first time I wore it was to the grocery store and I loved it. Many pounds. I think Jules has one too. Yeah. I said it's like everyone on the trail has this one and you'll notice the fit is phenomenal. Like the weight distribution is phenomenal. We should link it. It's padded. It sits up a lot higher. Yeah. It's a better. It's as unnoticeable as a vest can be. Yeah. And thank goodness because what I hated, like you, you, it's not a problem, but you leave your weight investor on the house and always have to pick up this like thing. I went, well, let's talk about like the other items that you've recently purchased. Okay. And here's what I'll say. Okay. Because we did, we did touch on the scale episodes ago. I'm in full. I'm in my version of Nest. And what my version of Nest is it is get things in as great of a place as they can be holistically before the baby comes. And so like I am just like I feel so much pressure right now to make sure obviously like you're doing all the real work here. And so I'm feeling all this pressure to make sure that everything else is just in like as great of a place as possible. And so like when packages are coming, just not even that, but like on top of the ordering, on top of like getting every room logistically right, like gates, making sure all the gates are set up, making sure that we got new handle protectors because I figured like bubs right now. Like there's always an eye on bubs. And like she loves to go into that bathroom, but we need to be able to not have her go in that bathroom. So what he's referring to is he got, you got their door locks, door locks, not she can't turn a handle yet. But we have the you know, push down lever door handles to get into the bathroom and things like that. And like a one thing a toddler loves, I think it's universal is that toilet because to them, it's a bath. They have so much that's at their height. It's fascinating. They can put their hands in it and it's a big time mess. So yeah, you've, but to keep it like it's, it's truly like every facet from home repair, like getting the floors done to making sure the rooms are right to having work things dialed to having mental and physical health diet, like I've never to making sure and most importantly, making sure you are supported in whatever way you need. Like yes, crazy how much responsibility I feel to like have things as great as they can be. Well, yesterday where we have some have some boxes arrived and in those boxes, yes, he did get bubs. He's like books that were like robotics and logistics and all these blockchain, blockchain, but the best thing you ordered and I couldn't believe it. He un, so we have in the little boys room, we have his changing table set up and Harrison opened a changing pad and I was like, did you order that and he was like, yes. And I was like, is it wipeable? And he was like, yep. And I was like, oh my gosh, like thank you because I hadn't thought to order the changing pad yet and you measured the table, you ordered the changing pad and you made sure it was wipeable. And I, and there's room on the right side for, for a little wipes and diapers. I was just like, I just thought for sure that was falling in my court of things to do. I want to take as much responsibility off of you as possible, especially like, how did you know I didn't order it though? Like I was so proud. Because I feel like the, like what's getting you excited right now is like a lot of the aesthetics of like the paint and the crib and I feel like you aren't talking about like the administrative stuff. I'm not. You're right. I'm really glad. And so I also got like those changing pads in me. I know you did. I was like, what? He got the disposable changing pads. Really? Yeah. We're a lot of things to just be great and well set up for when he arrives and, you know, do as much as I can. Once again, we, you were doing all the heavy left thing. You were doing all the court work. No, but you're doing a really good job. I want to do as much as I can to support. But you are. And like, you're getting the boxes in and out of the house. Like, you're being very helpful. So thank you. Hopefully more than the boxes too. Well, the other thing you're having to do now is be it, like you, you just take full care of me all the time, which I can't thank you enough for. Like, so Harrison, just so you understand our schedule. And this is how it's been. But he's just on full morning duty. And also on full chef duty. So like yesterday, I mean, it had to be pan-crusted halibut. Like it had to be, and we went to the grocery store. They didn't have any white flaky fish. And so then Harrison was driving around and he had to make me this very specific dish, which kudos to you. You're following. You have not done an online recipe. You've used cookbooks only. So a couple things. I want to really get this away from me. This is not about me. This is about like supporting you because that's what you deserve. You did walnuts as a crust on the halibut or something. Now, to do a little segue, talking about cooking, I'm all open for. So we did sea bass, crushed walnuts, layer Dijon, or reverse. So sea bass put the Dijon on to the walnuts, cook it for 100, 12 minutes. And then for the, we put it on fennel, tomatoes, and what else am I missing? Those green things, shallots. Fennel was what you're talking about in the shallots. And I loved it. And then half of them, we put a little parmesan on to juice up the flavor, two of the fish as we did, two of the fish as we didn't cook it for 100,000 years. It was so good. I was really opposed to this only cooking recipes out of a cookbook situation because I felt like it wasn't going to happen, but you're actually doing it. But here's the thing. What? I'm not. I am 80% cookbook, 20% me. So the cookbook was to the fennel, to the shallots, to the tomato, and then put the white fish on. And season the white fish and salt and pepper. I took that recipe. I added the Dijon and I added the crushed walnuts. So I take it and I put my own touch on it. It's really good. It was really good. Your chef is really good. So we, I've got a couple of baby showers coming up and it's funny because I think I always bought a baby shower gift if I went to a baby shower, but I would just log on the registry. I had no idea what I was buying. I just looked for the price point I wanted to spend, clicked, purchased, moved on with my life. But now, now after having the baby under my belt, I'm really into buying baby gifts for baby showers. I'm more excited for baby showers now after having a kid than I ever was before before. I just went to like, just to go. Okay. So what's your number one baby shower gift? Well, so last night I was looking at my friend's registry because I've got a shower coming up in a week and a half. And so I was looking at her registry and I was like, okay, cute. So I bought some, I actually, your, I went against your number one recommendation and I bought a nine-month-old outfit because it was so cute I had to buy it. So I, I, I broke that rule and I'm sad doing it, but do you know why I bought it? Can I make a suggestion? What? In your calendar, mark nine months and then you can send a friendly text being like, hey, when I bought clothes I had a time, I would forget and I would love this, I would love if someone had sent this reminder to me so I don't forget to wear the outfit. H, that is a phenomenal idea. That's a phenomenal idea. I used Chatsubriety for that idea. But also somebody told us in the comments, did you, I'm like, I just didn't know that we were talking about that. No. The other thing that I did see in the comments though on that one is like, they, and I knew they had these, but they have hangers that say three months, three to six, six to nine. So they're labeled outfit hangers. I saw that too. But like, what are you hanging all of them? Well, they, they also have like, they, you know what the store on the sale rack, they always have medium. So you know all the mediums are here. You could just do that just to circle. It's like all the nine month clothes are here. But I, I would say that like pretty much everything I dress her in comes out of the drawers, not out of the hanging thing. Everything you dress her in comes out of the drawers. That's the other thing though. I think we could put dividers in there that said three to six months. Like we could, okay, listen, we're not, we're not this type. But I have some friends that are organized like this. I think most parents aren't, aren't like, are like us in this and. No, but some, but if you're doing a first time nursery, you would get this organized. I think if you were like, if you're a type A, like you love to organize, you would probably label. I would never. I'm just, I'm, I'm type B. I'm never labeling like I would forget about the labels, blah, blah, blah. So I think it's a good solve. You're also needing to update the labels every six months, like it's, people are doing like bins and like, I think people are doing a lot in a good way, in a good way, in a good way. In the best way. But especially for the first kid, yeah, I think you guys dial that nursery in so organized, right? That I think it's, so I just think that's an option, okay? Anyways, what I was going to do with it though, because I now feel confident to go off registry. In fact, inspired to go off registry, I think I should go off registry like I have a kid. I think that you should give an intentional gift that's not on the registry, something you didn't think of. And so I was trying to think of what are my, what are the best baby gifts I could give that aren't on somebody's registry. And the first one, that's what I gave my best friend Sydney and I'm sure she was so confused, but I bet she used it a lot. This is what you Google, cactus bottle washer from Amazon. It's 20 bucks and it's just a separate brush and it looks cute. You set it on top of your sink and that brush is just for bottle washing. I never thought of it. I hate cross-contained, like you do not want to wash your bottle with the same thing. You scrubbed the pan that had the chicken in it. Yeah, that's great. They're two totally different things. Yeah, I used to too. Our night nurse told us about it. The thing about the cactus is it's like a cute little brown thing and it has all these little components to it that look like a cactus and you just pop them out. And we used it 25 times a day. So I think you buy something on the registry or a cute outfit and it looks cute. It looks cute on the, on the side of the kitchen. Yeah. So you add this to it. That's the first thing I think is great. The second thing I think is great. I forgot and I told you earlier because I don't have a brain anymore. Diaper bag insert. Okay. Our neighbor gave us this for Tate's first birthday and I'm obsessed with diaper bag inserts, right? But I only want two diaper bag inserts and she gave me a really cute one that was monogrammed with Tate's initials on it. But I love a monogrammed insert for the diaper bag that just gets like bottles, pacifiers, things like that. Anything monogrammed is so, so, so cute and feels very personal and it's not going to be on their registry. And then the last item and I think, I think this one is really special because it's for the mom, right? And if the mom, chances are the mom, if she's not pumping in breastfeeding, she's up in the middle of the night, mom or dad, they're up in the middle of the night feeding a bottle. Or if she is going to pump or breastfeed, she's up for probably 20 or 30 minutes pumping and at the beginning, every three hours. And what the common denominator is, everyone I talk to and myself included is what do we do? So, to keep yourself awake, you start to scroll on your phone and you start to hate that habit. Everyone I talked to is like, I fell into the phone trap. I was on Instagram for 30 minutes, every three hours in the middle of the night, I couldn't fall back asleep. Then your brain is turning. I even had it to where like my mental health, like I was just like, I am like depressed because this is just in the middle of the night, I was doing that. You can't fall back asleep. So there's the thing called the brick. And what it is, is, and I've talked about it before, but you can tap your phone on it and it will silence your, you can pick what it silence is. It's the most, it's easy to use. For me, whenever I break my phone, it turns off TikTok and Instagram. I think like, good thing, and maybe she doesn't brick every time, but just for her to have it beside her bed, if she wants to hold herself accountable, I think the brick is a great, unique gift. And then like she reads or she listens to an audiobook or, I don't know, I wish I was knitting or something. But for two months in the middle of the night, I scrolled on my phone to stay awake and like, it's funny. I just talked to a mom recently who was like, I got the brick because it helped me in the middle of the night pumping a breastfeeding and I was like, that's when I got it too. So I think that's a great gift to give a mom. Or just something, here's the other thing about it. The magnetic me pajamas are actually a phenomenal idea because for mom, in addition to for baby. Yeah, I love them for baby. I just bought them actually for somebody for baby, but for mom, when you're, when you're constantly ripping your pajamas on and off to breastfeed, the magnets, oh my gosh. That's a good one. You wore those all the time. I still wear them. And there's nothing like every morning when I go to get dressed. I just sort of Superman off my outfit. It's like the best thing ever. So this is my question to you, Mr. H. Okay. What's your off registry gift? I wish I knew this was coming here. Let me tell you how I thought about mine because I like what you said about the outfit, which is don't buy something they're not going to use right then. So all three of mine were day one uses. You're washing bottles. You're taking out your diaper bag and you're up in the middle of the night. So try to think, I'll help you think of it. But I know your number one most used item was, was a carrier, but that's likely on their registry. Okay. Here's what it is. I know what yours is. Let's hear it because I was going to go in a totally different direction. It's the couple that attaches to the stroller. Couple of the attaches to the stroller is an unbelievable gift. Great call out. If they don't have it on their registry by that. And yes, for sure. And then I think, and that's a more functional one and that's a really good price point for one. I think if you want to do a splurge and it's like one of your close friends. I think one thing, great thing to do is to work with their partner and plan the mom like a little get hmm, let me just think a little spot a mom day. I was going to say like an overnight thing, but logistically, I don't know how that would work. It's a spot A. It's as she gets to get a facial or a manicure, pedicure like and yeah, like something like a more service oriented day for her. Yeah. Okay. Bonus points if you have a masseuse that goes to the house. You know, and that's a bigger gift, but that's the best friend. I think I'm going to jump into that. I think a masseuse. I think I love that masseuse to the house. I mean that. For splurge. For splurge. Yeah. I always know my favorite gift for new parents or just parents in general that just had a baby. If you can do a home cooked meal or send some kind of food. Yes. That's always a slam dunk situation, but okay, so, but so this is what I'm doing for my friend. I got her an outfit on her registry and then the cactus bottle washer is my off registry practical item. Which I love. I actually, I think I want to build off that. I love the strategy is one thing you want. One thing off the registry and then thoughtful, likely lower priced item off registry. I love the cactus brush or my idea, which was your idea that you gave me was the cop was the cop that goes on the stroller. If they don't have the cup attachment registered that goes on the stroller, I just I think you got I think we've kind of got to get to one for mom and dad. I had like half of an energy drink after my workout because I was so thirsty. Wow. Yeah. You were thirsty for water or thirsty for? And what they do every time you go in is you they say, okay, can I have your phone number and you give them your phone number. And then they say, okay, it's your name's Alex and then I collect points on my phone number. The other day, Harrison was ordering and the guy was like, can I have your phone number and he said, I'll just pay. And I was like, oh, like I just kind of walked off to the water station. But in my head, I was thinking, you, you can just bypass the phone number. There's friction to it. They text you like they do text you all the time, like I'm kind of like, don't email me. Don't text me. Stop spam calling me like I'm four less phone numbers, less emails. It never dawned on me, Harrison. I don't have to give the guy my phone number every time. Well, to me, there's a couple things on this. The reason why I don't give them my phone number is because like that, it just takes a long time. Chances are when I give the phone number, they're not going to they're not going to get it right. But there's going to be a digit error. So you're not saying it once, you're typically saying it twice. There's almost always a clarification. And then the second point is like, why do you need it? Because like, I don't, as much as I'd love this coffee shop, I don't need this coffee shop texting me. I know where the coffee shop is. I know what the coffee shop's hours are. I know what the menu is. Like we don't need to have my coffee shop and I, we don't need to have a texting relationship. I'm very happy with my coffee shop and I have an IRL coffee relationship. Here's the other. Yes. So I have 157 points I realized yesterday now at this coffee shop. There's no sign anywhere that what I get when I hit a thousand points. And I'm going to ask them, I'm going to say, and I almost ask them the other day, what do I get? What am I, what am I working towards here? Do I get a free coffee when I hit 500 points? Because then I'm down. But if there's no point to reward system, it'll just like apply it. Like you know it. I don't know, juice land is the one that comes to mind. Like every once in a while I just get like $5 off. I'm just going to ask them, what am I working towards here because that will offset me giving you my phone number. But the other thing is they text me when my order is ready. But they also say out loud, Alex, then I walk up there, I get my coffee and about five minutes later it texts me. The coffee shop is not that big. I always hear them. There's no outdoor seating like I know when my coffee is ready. But I want to give this coffee shop its price. It's a great shop. It's a great. We know every day. The coffee is very good. This texting thing is just bizarre. It's like we got to stop. But it's a larger issue. It's not this coffee shop. Everybody needs your email. And what I've noticed, what makes me so mad is I order something on call it anthropology. And two days later, random people are enailing me that also sell furniture. And it's like that's not fair. I gave you anthropology my email. I mean, that shouldn't be the case. No, that's totally a thing. It's always the case. I think we talked about it before when I signed up for Wi-Fi for the studio afterwards. I'm getting like moving companies in furniture and this, this and that because I signed up for new Wi-Fi. Yeah. It's a scam. I mean, that's ridiculous. It's just, here's the thing about the phone numbers and the emails. Like a lot of times when somebody's like, can I have your email, I just leave out a letter. I'm just like, sure, here's an email that's close but not really because it's so much like, why do you need the info? I don't want to talk to people this much about like I made my purchase. I knew how to get on anthropology. I knew how to find the couch I wanted. I have another qualm about a text I got this morning from actually my old Botox. Last place in New York, the first line of it was, can we talk? And then that was the only thing I could see in my text message and I didn't know what it was. And then I click into it and it's like 99 cent Botox. Yeah. Look at whatever it is. No. But this is a common tactic of these texting things. So here's another issue I have. I've started getting like, hey Alex, I haven't talked to you in a while emails and they're not written in, they're not written in marketing format. It's just a regular typed email. And it's like, hey Alex, I haven't talked to you in a while and I'm like, okay, well who is this? So I click on it and then they're trying to sell me something in the email. And then I have to, this is what gets me. I have to reply back to the email unsubscribe or it's buried in the very last line. Please respond opt out to stop getting it. So I have to reply back to you and then I have to type out unsubscribe or opt out just to get off your list and I didn't sign up for the list. Yeah. To not have the unsubscribe in the email is crazy. I have to reply back opt out. Alex will reply unsubscribe and then people will respond and be like, no, I'm a real person. So I did that all the time. I got to defend you. I did that all the time. The lawyer the other day is like, Alex, this is a real bill. I'm like, oh, sorry. I'm like, looping in jewels. My bad. That is so funny. I literally respond to that unsubscribe. I just want to reply back and be like, how are you emailing me? That one was bad. How are you emailing me that I have to reply back? Like I have to reply back. I didn't sign up. No, it's not fair. It's infuriating and then the way it works in the business perspective is like they're looking at the analytics of all these emails they set out. They sent out and it's like, all right, what email is driving the highest open rate? What email is driving the highest click through rate? And so they're learning by sending that text. Can we talk? Can we talk? Can we talk? Can we talk? People are opening it at a much higher rate. And so, like, yeah. Here's how many spam calls I have this morning. They started it, 9.23, 10.36. I have eight between the time. That's just this morning. Do you want me to count yesterday? Oh, I'll give you the screenshot, Pete. I don't even think you guys are going to believe me. I don't think you're going to believe me. 1, 2, 3, 4, 5, 6, 7, 8, 9, 10, 11, 12, 13, 14, 15, 16, 17, 18, 19, 20, 21, 22, 23, 24, 24, 25, 26, 27, 27, 28, 29, 30, 30, 1, 32, 33, 34, 35, 36, 37, 38, 39, 40, 40. I did see something the other day on the internet that said, you're not supposed to answer or decline them, because that tells them that the phone number is an active phone number. What am I supposed to do though? I don't know. I've even called the number that they've left me and been like, get me off the list. And they're like, okay, and they're just like, hang up on me. I might need to get a new phone number, but they're calling me right now. I think one of the coolest things about like their continued development is like before whenever we would leave a room, like it would always just be like a scene of emotion. And like today, when I was putting the brisket in, they were going to the park. And like Marie got them all dressed up and she was just like, "Adiós." And I was like, "Adiós." And the girls were so excited. They said bye because like they knew they were going to the park. And like it was so amazing to see them excited about an activity that they knew was coming. Like they knew where they were going. They were excited about where they were going. And like that's just, you know, that didn't exist 90 days ago. Like 90 days ago, if Marie was taking, if they were ever being separated from us, they would be really sad. And so it's really cool to see. One thing I do wonder on this, though, because there's two things at play here. Number one, they understand the word park now. And they understand library. And they understand that around 10 o'clock once Marie has been, they are going somewhere really fun. Yes. But we've also started saying "Adiós" to them. And I think they just know that means, okay, we're going to be a part for a second. It's going to be okay. And then we're going to reunite. Yeah. Do you think the saying goodbye has made a different cognitively for them or no? No view on it, but I like how much they're loving life right now. Like in the mornings, it's all very happy. Like when they see each, when he entates each other in the mornings, they now run and embrace each other, which like didn't exist 90 days ago. And then Marie and when Marie and Peggy show up, it's like the second embracement. And so like there is a lot of positivity, which I think is really fun. And there's the village and there's excitement happening in the house. And it's really, it's really fun. So it's actually funny you guys. It feels like a bit late. Tate was on the wait list to get in this school. That I had put her on when she was like three months old. I even made a TikTok. I was like, I'm going to tour this school. I love the school. I thought it was fun. So I signed up to get on the wait list fast forward. She got in two days ago. And they were like, we have a spot opened up the 2026, 2027 school year for Tate. And what we've just decided on this is like, she's going to stay with Maria and Peggy for now because like, they're going and being around other kids every single day. Like they go to this library for two hours. Maria was like, please get these pink sparkle lunch boxes. So we can go and also have a picnic with the rest of it. I'm like, pink spark, I mean, say less. Like if I could order them and get them here in one minute, I would. And like they arrived and like they take their snack boxes. They go with all the other kids. They have dance time. They have book time. They have color time. They go and do that. And then Maria also has, she's got all these booked in times with them. And the best part about it is though, like we get to see Bubber all the time when we pop in and out of the house. And it's just this very special time at home and developmentally. Like we really feel like Maria just does such a good job with them. They're also going and being around other kids. Like we're so happy with our setup that it's funny to think about at three months old. I was like, what are we going to do? We obviously have to put her in some school. Like I was just doing what I was always told. And where I got to give you your flowers is like you really challenged me on that. And you were like, but do you want her around the house more? Do you want her to go have the ability to go outside or go to the park? And of course they go outside. One on one learning. Yeah, having one, two on one learning. Two on one learning and we want to add another kid into the mix one day to this. But like right now we're so happy with our setup and we get to be involved in it. And I'm really happy that you introduce this other way of thinking to me. And so when I got that email yesterday, I was like, cool, we're good. I like and where I got to give you flowers back. Like I completely expected when you sent me that email that you're going to be okay. I think that it's time for Tate to go to the school. And I would have been totally open to that conversation. And I'm really glad that that you're as happy with the situation and setup as I am. I'm so here's why I'm so happy with our setup. The village is like hours. Like every day it pick up, you know, we go at five, we talk to Peggy, we talk to Maria, we're all learning a bit of Spanish. Like she shows us what the girls have learned. Like now I don't know how to say it in Spanish. They've both learned to stick their tongues out. She says like, "Donday has thought something. Where's your tongue?" And they go and she moved them because within she would say, "Donday has thought to Oho's, which is where your eyes." They would poke their eyes. So now they flutter them. She's like, I had to move. I had to reteach them something and so they flutter their eyes and like, yesterday she sent me, she's like, "New favorite song." And it's Kami Nando, so it's walk, run, jump. And they walk, they run and they jump. I mean, it's a bit more sporadic for them. But like, we're seeing all of these things that they're doing. And she's just like, text, I don't know. I love the way it's set up. And I know, listen, I know what a lot of daycares in schools. They like, it's also lovely. I'm just saying this is what's working for us right now. Because I'm all for the daycare in the schools. Is this turning into a gratitude episode? Because if so, if we can keep going on this path, I have something else to say. Sure. Okay. Because I feel like one thing I've been saying a lot over the past couple of weeks is, I feel very lucky. Okay. Okay. Uh-huh, you haven't taken that. And I feel lucky to be in a relationship with you. I feel lucky. You have a lot of gratitude for things in life. I feel lucky for our community, for our family, for professional success. And, um, one of the things that I was thinking about this morning is, I feel I'm very grateful for the guy friends that I've surrounded myself with. And the reason why is like, right now, I feel like I'm really pushing myself. But I feel like I'm pushing myself surrounded by guys that have the same value system as me. And are doing an amazing job in the same areas that I care about. Where like, I find my guy friends, they're amazing partners. They're amazing fathers. And they're very focused on their professional careers. And to have, you know, their, the success and effort and the focus across those, those three categories amongst other things like, you know, having fun and having, you gotta have fun. Yeah, fun is a big pillar of your valuing family and so on and so forth. Like I, it, it, it's like, I feel the need to level up. Like I feel the need to be productive at 6 a.m. with Bubber because like, I know what neighborhood he's doing across the street. Right. I know neighborhood T is being a great dad at five in the morning. Being a great husband at date night and kick an ass at work during the day. Yeah, and working out and seeing his family and like, so I see what's also fun. He's also very fun. Yeah, and that's why I would like and within or tonight. And I just like it very, it's just, it's part of the, the push. So the first thing I'll say about you being thankful and me being thankful of where we've landed in life was, and I get how fortunate we are for our situation. I don't want that to be taken for granted. No, 100%, but I saw a quote yesterday that resonated with me. And it was, there's going to be a time in life where you're forced to choose between the life you want and the life you know. And it's very important that you choose the life you want. And I think we both did that. And I, I think it was, it was hard. It's hard at times to choose the life you want versus the life. Maybe you grow up with the life you know or the life that's taught to you or ingrained in you. But to say like, no, I want to just go ahead and build the life that I want instead. Which I think you and I are living an, a testament to that, right? The way that we, the way we parent, the way we design our work days, all of that. So that's the first thing I'll say on it. The second thing I'll say is, I always knew who you surrounded yourself with mattered. But I'm seeing it more and it just happens timeline wise in my 30s and living in Austin. But being around people that push you is contagious. And sometimes it's hard to say, this person doesn't serve me as much. Because when I'm with them, we just kind of talk about people. But when I'm with these other people, we talk about ideas. We talk about things happening in the world. We talk about parenting. We talk about like what we want to do at work. And like they're, though, those kinds of conversations age, they really do drive you. It's why it's why I like being around you. You'll oftentimes just be like, you'll just be like, how are you feeling in terms of work? Or how are you feeling as a mother? And I'll just be like, I just, what on earth? And like, I'll sit there and I'll have to answer it. And it's like, those things are really good for you. So everything you're saying really resonates with me. And I hope with the listener too, they probably see when they're around certain people, they feel more pushed as opposed to others. Yeah, totally. Like, I haven't told you this yet, but, but the guy that I sonnered with last night. And that is once Harrison puts Bubber to bed. He has this guy that about once a month, maybe once a month. Yeah, he's kind of a private. I don't want to say his name, but you go to a house and you guys sonnered together and you love it. And super successful, dude. But beyond the success and beyond him being in phenomenal shape, he's an ultimate family man. And I went there last night and his wife is gone for four days. And he's taking care of all three kids by himself. There's no help. And it's like, that's what I love to see. Like, he's up. He's taking them to school. He's kicking ass during the day with his, with his company. And then he's being a great dad at night and putting, putting them to bed. So I think I'll go over there this weekend because, I think on Sunday night, because he has the kids to himself and I haven't seen the kids in a little bit because I'm typically there after they fall asleep. But like, I don't know. I was sitting there, I was just like, and it just, it motivated me to know like, you can check every box. Yeah. This dude is checking every box. But you, but this is what it is, too, is it's like, you can, you just have to pick two. You just have to choose checking every box. Yeah. It's just like a choice, right? And sometimes easier said than done. But like in this, in this instance, yeah, I think that's a great example. And then at the end of the night, he's still got time to sign in with you. Takes focus and sacrifice and work. And yeah, I haven't felt this inspired and this motivated and very, very long time. But I do want all truly in probably two years. Yeah. And I've been, I'm very proud of you. And I'm trying to tell you that a lot, because I do think like acknowledging. But I also saw Margot Robbie and Jacob Allordie. Is this name? Jacob was like. I would pivot, but hard pivot. No, no, he was talking about how Margot does it all. She's producing a movie, she's in a movie, and she's raising a kid, and she's always able to like make dinner. It was something like that. And one of the comments was, yeah, but let's acknowledge she has full time help. Possibly has a chef. And I, and I liked that angle, too. Like I do, I do want to make sure we acknowledge like we have Maria, we have help. Yeah, we can't replace the privilege 100%, but I, but I liked that somebody in the comments called this out because I read that and I was like, how is she doing all that? And then it's like, don't forget. But some people also just are dialed in from six till 10. 100 both are true at the same time. All are true by love looking at all facets. Like all of these, all of these options are true. Some people do it all, some people have help, like there's all different versions of it. And in her case, she's going to work and somebody's, you know, got her kid. I think it's like all of these, all of these different versions are really cool. And all needs big knowledge. We all have those moments as parents. You're exhausted, you're up at 3 a.m. changing a diaper, then maybe you need to pump or the baby's hungry, baby's wiggling and squirming in the dark. Harrison's been looking into is like the benefits of having a dog around the house. I grew up with dogs. We both love dogs. Like we just don't have number one. We moved to Austin from New York so we didn't have a dog. Number two, we don't have the fence set up yet done around our house. So we're not in dog shape yet, but it's gotten on our radar. And what are you interested in? So I never seriously thought about us getting a dog. But a light switch went off the other week. And it just something felt right about bringing a dog into the village. Well, here's the thing. And was it these studies that crossed my Twitter talking about the positive effect on kids with dogs and the effects on longevity dogs? Yes and no, but it was just like, you know what? Like I really feel like with the life that we're living with the community we're building, with the love in the house, like a dog would fit right in. Why are you laughing, Jules? No, I want you guys to get a dog. Here's, here's the thing. Like I'm ready for a dog now 12 months ago. I wasn't ready for a dog. I agree with you. Here's my other thing though. Okay, here's where we want to lean on the listener. I can list you every childhood dog I had the name in the breed. Yeah. And I loved them all. So there is some connection clearly between kids and dogs. Like I remember the one you want to read the studies and before Jules reads these studies. Sorry, sorry. Can you just read them though because I put them in there. Yes, they won't be good if I read them. Okay, and I'm going to read these studies because Jules put them in here. But before we do that, here's our question from the listener. You guys, when do we get the dog? Like we're, we have Tate who's 16 months old. We're pregnant with this one who's due in April and then we want more kids. Like do you wait till everyone's born? Do you introduce a dog in the mix? Like I've seen the videos online of the dogs that come over to the baby to the pregnant belly. And they like know the mom is pregnant and they're amazing videos. They're really sweet. I just don't, I have no idea when you introduce the dog. So that's what I want to ask people. Yeah, part of, part of me is like does it make sense to just do it when your last kid is one year old or like should we just plan it around our new baby coming and do it like six months after they arrive. So that way we're like kind of back getting back kind of swinging things with a little putt. I'd also love the moment where like Bubs doesn't want a dog right now. Right? Like she's not saying like I want a wolf wolf. But there is like a cool moment. Like I remember I really wanted a dog and I got one for Christmas. Like I opened up the box and like I could not believe that I got a dog. And like that moment would be cool for her. And I feel like that happens at three. Like I feel like three is the age where they can start to like it could really matter to them. Yeah, I have a question. Was it your dog or family dog? So that it was funny like and we're about to read this. This pepper was then my pepper was then my dog who like I took out, right? And so the number one thing of the benefits of of kids with dogs teaches responsibility age appropriate tasks feeding walking and grooming teach kids about commitment and caring for others. So I had pepper who I fed and who I would walk. And then companionship dogs combat loneliness offering constant companionship acting as a non-judgmental friend. I think dogs do that for both adults and kids. Like there's no question. Just having your little dog that like kids love dogs around. Like there's just no question about it. Develops emotional intelligence. They kids learn to read body language and understand the needs of others. And they foster empathy. And then this one's crazy. I've seen this a lot. Strengthen immune system because early exposure to dogs, they off put something. This says this says can lower the risk of certain illnesses. But they have something that they're constantly off putting which like builds immunity with kids. And I think parents. No, I feel ready whether that happens now or in three years, who knows. But like and I think the way I think it's going to shake out is I think that like one day we're just going to come home with the dog. Probably knowing us. Do you want to know when the internet says the best time to get a dog is? Yes. Of course, tools. It says when the youngest child is at least five to seven years old. Oh, that's a lot older than I would think. I don't think I want to wait that long. But I want to know what people say. I want to see like them little ones like playing with the little pupper. But here's the other thing. Like if your dog's not potty trained and you just have a newborn baby like there is a that is adding chaos to the chaos. I wonder. You know how often you have to take out a dog when you first get it? How often? Every 20 minutes. Like so we're going to be up breastfeeding and taking out the dog. I mean for how long? Just for like the first couple. I don't remember. I like blacked out that time in my life because I lived in an apartment building. So I literally would have to go up and down in the elevator. You didn't do a pee pad? No, I tried this like spot of grass is a whole thing. But like it's that's a lot for a studio apartment of pee pad. Ginny's high maintenance. No, not anymore. But you don't here's the thing. Ginny's a city dog. Ginny has a city dog. What did Ginny like Austin? Ginny loves Austin's city. That's true. That's why I live in a apartment here. That's true. I do I don't know the dog thing like. Ginny's got high-end taste. Ginny's just a really good girl. But we'll have to figure it out. We also have to figure out what kind of dog. She was running and she couldn't stop and she slammed into the wall and she had to get three pink casts. That is so sad. It was so. Harrison, it was so sad. I'll never forget. I was probably seven. Oh, oh, oh, oh, oh, so sad. My parents were like, oh, I was like, well, she was running. I mean, Greyhounds are so fast. So fast. We had a border collie. We had a boxer. Boxes are fun dogs. They were Hallibu born on Halloween. So fun. Oh, Hallibu was probably the sweetest dog we ever had. So your number one pick is a Greyhound? No, I don't not for kids. It's just, I love that dog. I love, I think they're beautiful. I love the way they run. But then a lot of people are going to say they need, they don't, they're not house dogs. Tinker in love to her life. Bernie Smowndog. Love that. Golden Doodle. Is it Bernie Smowndog good for Austin, though? Would they get too hot? We need to find out. We have so much research to do. People will tell us. I also like Vichla's. But they're a little small from a liking. I like big dogs. They get big. Yeah. I mean, it's a Vichla. A big Vichla. But you'd have to run it. I don't think Vichla would be good for Austin. I'd love to run it. It's so hot, though. Harrison. With my weighted vest, Jules. No, I gotta push back. He also wants to get a running stroller. And I said, get the running stroller when you've gone on a run and just one run. Then buy all the, then do all these things. You got a biker of bike seat. You love to put the, he ordered? No, I could not believe it when it came out of the box. I said, what is that? He said, it's a seat for biker on my bike. I said, here, I said, you haven't. Bikes since you lived in Venice. Venice Beach, California. But I want to start doing some of the hobbies that I used to like to do. I used to love biking. I know, but they're-- I bought you a bike for Christmas one year. Yes, you did. And you called it from Hanukkah Harry. And I loved it. There's two types of consumers, though. One that buys it before they start doing it. The other that starts doing it so much that they then need to buy it. I want to be prepared. Preparation is key. Yeah. Yeah, I love your consumer habits. I think they're funny. Should we do, we've got time for one more. Do we do biker of the week? Or do we do things? We deem each other. I do want to each. Okay, the biker of the week. This one's from me. Is it okay to talk to your partner once they fall asleep? This is a total misunderstanding. I have restless leg because of the pregnancy. Yes. Falling asleep for me takes anywhere between 30 minutes to an hour and a half. Sometimes I got to pile up on my the pillows to get the weight on there. And the other night I had just fallen in to the most peaceful sleep ever. My legs had calmed down. I was like warm, calmed down under the blankets. Harrison puts his hand over, taps me. Says, hey, do you want to cuddle? I was like, okay, number one, you're lucky. You asked me something nice because that's really cute. Number two, I had just fallen asleep. Just fallen asleep. Then by me responding out loud like that, apparently, I will care some up. So I think there's a massive, there's massive confusion, miscommunication here. I think I was sleeping, having a dreaming, and in that dream, I wanted to cuddle. So let me ask you that. And so I think that it was like, like, can we please cuddle? Because when you woke me up, I was like, whoa, whoa, whoa, what's going on? And you're like, you woke me up. You woke me up. So I, I stand by like, you're not allowed to wake your partner up, but I, that was an unintentional wake up, especially when they're pregnant. Okay, I'm sorry to do this, but I do need to ask you, did you ask me Monday night? Did you wake me up in report that you were buying workout clothes? You were awake. I was not awake. How do you know if someone's awake? Because like the lights were on. The lights weren't on. Let me just ask you this. I think you got just got back from the bathroom or something. I would never wake you up. Like, I know how precious your sleep is. This isn't fair. Okay, okay. That's what I want to ask you. That's just what I want to ask you. And I love that response. But I think it's cute that you want to tell me these things. Like, you were so excited that you ordered some workout sets. You were like, hey, I got some workout sets. And I was like, I'm so proud of you. I'm asleep. So this is my question. I feel like this, this almost could be. I feel like you do this to me because I fall asleep in under five minutes. Like, and I feel like you're always talking to me when I'm asleep. I'm actually confused by this whole segment. Okay, that's good. So I think that here's what I think the answer is. I think we both in theory think you can't wake your partner up when they're asleep. I think we both do it. I think if I'm on my laptop and I'm like, hmm, I'm going to order this set and maybe I don't realize your sleep. But I feel like I pay pretty close attention to that. But maybe not close enough. So maybe our bigger of the week we're both on the same page, but we're both not very good at. Miscommunications. But we're both bad at waking the other one up. Because how do you know? This is my least favorite thing somebody does. Are you asleep? Well, I was, but now I'm not. I have something that I'm going to, I'm going to commit to. Okay. I'm going to put my toothbrush and toothpaste in and deodorant and hairpills in the guest bedroom. Also, you and Bubba don't come in. Because I have noticed that like there's this, because basically the way the morning routine goes is I go, I get her. I bring her downstairs and we eat. We kind of spend a bit of the morning together. And then I go back up, brush my teeth, deodorant, hairpills into the coffee shop. But when I do that, I'm going into the room. And I try to like be so quiet. And I go out and give Bubba credit. Bubba knows when we go into that room to be quiet. She's quiet. Like, I can't believe it. But I really just like calling myself, I should just be doing that in the guest room. Okay. I mean, that's a love, that's really nice of you to do. I would never ask you to do that, but I would appreciate it if you didn't. It's easy. It's an opener. Yeah. Okay. Thank you very much. Okay. We're going to do things we de-empt, but here's the thing. Jules and I are going to do that. Because the couch has arrived to the house. Only problem that you can see Harrison on YouTube, he's exiting. Giving. That's nice. Kisses. Okay. Here's the couch has arrived. But the only problem is, I don't know if anybody's ever bought a left arm facing or right arm facing sectional. Every website, even if you Google it, even from my days back in Jennifer Welch and Terry designs, the left arm facing is when you're facing the couch, the left arm faces you, right arm faces you. And then I googled it, I put it in chat. GBT, everyone agreed with me. Only problem is on the anthropology website. It was backwards. I did call. They did, they did not have any answers. So we just went with what the standard is, which is right arm facing sectional, which is what we need. But Maria just facetimeed us and it looks like we have a left arm facing sofa. So anyway, Harrison's going to go home and debunk that whole thing with them. And Jules and I are going to talk about celebrating other kids wins. I have a lot to say on this. You do? Topic. Totally. Is that sarcato? No, I like to celebrate Tate's wins. Okay, thank you for that. Yeah, build your village. So basically, I'll explain to you the video I saw. Okay, so there was this mom and she was like, every day a drop off, I see this other mom. I don't know her. We'll call her Susie. I don't know Susie. She's like, I don't even know her name. But for the sake of me storytelling, I'm going to name her Susie. The mom making the video, her son has delayed speech. And so developmentally, like, he can't talk so much. And it takes him a while to process what people say to him. So she says, every day a drop off Susie comes over to her son and says hi. And this mom's like, I don't talk for my son. I don't try to make situations more comfortable. I just let him do his thing because I always notice when he's ready to talk, he will. And she's like, kind of appeared that Susie knew that. Maybe I don't know. But every day she made her mission to come over and say hi. And the mom and her never really talked. Well, today, I don't know how long it had been. Maybe six, seven months. Susie came over to her son and was like, hi, sweetie. How are you? And he finally was like, hi. And like responded to her. And Susie was so excited. And she was just like, I hope you have the best day. And she was like really clapping for his win. And the mom was like, that's building your village. Like, I don't even know this woman. But she took it upon herself to clap for my son. And it was something that it took her five minutes each day. And it was something she did every day. But I think in a world where sometimes with kids, it becomes competitive. This story made me really happy because it was celebratory of other kids' wins. I love it. And so here's where I would take this is what's really cool about, sorry, here's where I would take this. What's really cool about Winnie and Tate is, like the other day, Winnie looked like she was like playing real life soccer. She was like moving the ball around and dribbling it. And I was like, that's so exciting to see, right? And it's like, I feel like Winnie's in my village. And like, I have a vested interest in her. And I think it's so cool, whenever parents get to do that with other kids, and they get to clap for other kids' wins, as opposed to being like competitive with them. I think what we were, or what I was thinking, while you were talking about that is, the level of excitement you must have. Like, I think that's so cool. And I love both Winnie and Tate as well. And I think the soccer kick is cool, but the level of elevated celebration of wins, you must have, once you have your own kid, for other people's kids. Don't, yes, 100%. That's a really good point. Like, what used to happen if one of my friends was, so we have a basketball goal now at the house, and they were playing basketball today, and they both know how to put the ball in the hoop. It's actually pretty cool. If one of my friends, before I had kids, was like, my daughter put the basketball on the basketball hoop, I'd be like, cool. Like, I truly don't care. Now, if somebody told me that their kid was playing, I would be like, or they said their first words, or like, we have a friend's kid who now walks. Like, I'm so excited they're now walking. Beforehand, you're right, Jules. I would have never, it wouldn't even registered with me. But I do think it's cool. It's cool, right? And I think this story is cool, because she doesn't know this mom that well. This mom was just like truly celebrating another kid. Yeah. And was so excited. And that excitement made, clearly made this mom's day because she made a video about it. And so I thought it was really sweet. And this says, "A choir reminder that real community is the people around you noticing, rooting for, and celebrating your child's wins alongside you, which I think is true."
