Powerful Treatment Protocols to Support Your Body in a Health Crisis with Dr. Jeff Wright
63m 54s
The speaker begins by sharing a personal experience where neurofeedback alleviated brain fog and stress, sharpening mental focus. The podcast then shifts to a discussion on supporting the body during health crises, illustrated by a story about the host's 81-year-old father. After a difficult knee replacement surgery, he declined rapidly, becoming emaciated and dependent on opioids. A protocol combining hyperbaric oxygen, IV ozone, and glutathione therapies led to a dramatic turnaround within a week, essentially saving his life. The conversation explains that health relies on cellular function: cells must effectively take in nutrients and expel waste. When this process fails, "cellular trash" accumulates, creating an environment for dysfunction and chronic illness, which often develops gradually from long-term lifestyle factors. The hosts emphasize that the body is designed to heal, but recovery requires addressing root causes, utilizing supportive therapies, and maintaining a hopeful attitude. They also note that financial stress is a significant obstacle to wellness, advocating for personal investment in health as a priority for regaining vitality.
I just did neurofeedback this morning and going into the session, my brain was kind of foggy, kind of sloppy. I was feeling like mental overload of all the things I have to do today and all the projects that I'm working on. I was just on that edge. I couldn't quite get on top of that. Done with neurofeedback 30 plus minutes later. Now my brain is sharp. It's on. It's like I know exactly what I have to do today. I'm not stressed. I'm not overly worked and I'm ready to go. neurofeedback is amazing. This is the Guzzi Health Podcast. You're go-to destination for uncomplicated, practical, and affordable tools for your wellness education with Johnny Grover. Are you ready to become a self-healing champion? Let's go. All right, welcome back everyone to the Guzzi Health Podcast. It's funny. Before we were recording, Dr. Wright, I had a podcasting meeting with my podcasting team and they were showing me which episodes perform the best and which ones have the highest retentions and most of them are with you. So it seems like people really like to hear what you're saying. So I was like, yeah, we should probably do more of that. Let's just keep doing this, right? Let's keep doing this. Yeah. So welcome back. You guys, I want to share a couple stories because this episode is for people that want to learn more about how to support their bodies in a health crisis. When is the right time to utilize supplements? When's the right time to utilize therapies? And why? Which therapies actually work, right? Because I know you have been in this world for over 20 years. I've been in it for six years. And so you have way more. It's funny. Okay, I'm a little bit like squirrel this morning. Every time I mention a service or a testing method on Instagram, Dr. Wright calls me and he's like, yeah, I know the owner that started that company and that product and that testing tool and ABCDEFGH. Like you have this like encyclopedia of knowledge around almost everything and anything. And so this episode is to just kind of again, pick your brain and help educate people that are on a health crisis or on a healing journey who have a health crisis and are on a healing journey. And people that maybe don't have a health crisis, but are on a healing journey to optimize their health and healing. And so we want to teach you what tools you have or hopefully have access to so you can help support your bodies and expedite your healing. So I want to start with a story. My dad, he is 81. He is actually our lead hyperbaric technician at Provo Health. He trains all the other technicians when they do their certifications and trainings. They have to be trained under him to get certified. He knows how to pull apart the machines. He knows how to put them together. I'm worried that he's 81 and I'm like, "Dad, you have to live forever." Because if you die, I'm screwed. Actually Ryan knows how to, my dad's teaching Ryan how to put all the things together and fix the things. But my dad had a knee replacement surgery about two, three months ago. And it didn't go well. It was fine. But as you know, Dr. Wright, when elderly people break a hip, it takes about a year before they pass, right? Because their bodies just never remember. And my dad was not recovering. And it was terrifying to watch. And then he got stuck on opioids because his pain was so high. And then he started throwing up a lot. And then he started not eating. And then he became emaciated really quickly. And when he was coming in for just hyperbaric treatments, all the nurses were looking at him with raised eyes. And then they're like "Janeek, are you on this?" And I'm like, "I'm on it." Like, I know. Like, something's up. Like, everyone was concerned. And I just love our staff because they love him so much and they care for him so much. And so Tracy and Katie are like, "Janeek, you need to be on this." And I'm like, "I know I'm on it. I'm trying to talk to him." But my dad's, my dad is that like, generation where they're really stubborn and proud. And it's like, I'm fine. I'm fine. Everything's fine. And I try to go with him to his doctor's appointment to talk to his doctor about. And he's like, "No, you don't need to come with me." And like, so he just like ditch me last minute while I was trying to act team on his appointment. Long story short, I started talking with Dr. Ray and I'm like, we need to get this man better. And so we came up with a healing protocol. And literally within a week, my dad was a different man and started writing his bike. And his protocol was this. He did hyperbaric, but it wasn't strong enough. So we then started doing IV therapies as well as ozone IV. And I'm not kidding you. After the first session, my dad was like 30 percent improved, which was incredible because he was like deteriorating at a fast and like, furious rate. And I was scared. I'm like, "I'm going to lose my dad this year and I'm not ready to lose him." Like, this man writes like bicycles and like he does races in St. George, right? He gets gold and silver medals. Like, he's a very, very active 81 year old man. And he's so sweet. And he was a different person. And I was terrifying to see him age 10 years, lose so much muscle mass and not eat. And I'm like, he's going to die within a year. At this rate, he's dying. And we were all really scared. And so literally within a week, he completely turned around, even to the point where his last three appointments, because we did hyperbaric ozone IV and then glutathione IV with a bunch of pushes. His very last one. He's like, "Shiny, can I skip it?" And I'm like, "Absolutely not. You're not skipping it." He's like, "I want to go write my bike." And I'm like, "I don't care. You're going to show up for treatment. And then you're going to go write your bike." And so now my dad is his usual old self again. And I am just so grateful because I 100 million percent believe that the therapy saved his life. And so I have Dr. Wright here today to tell us why they saved his life. What was happening on a cellular level that these therapies completely turned him around? So welcome Dr. Wright. And with that, I've seen the same thing over and over and over again. I see people who come in chronically ill with who knows why they're chronically ill. They do know or they don't know. But ultimately what's happening is is at the cellular level, their bodies are starting to break down. They got too much stress. They didn't have enough fuel and they're crashing. And it's a slow motion crash. They're doing everything right, but it's not quite good enough to keep up with the decline. And so day to day, you don't see anything but week to week you do. And you go, "Okay, losing muscle mass, that's bad. Losing mental capacity to just want to do something. That's exceptionally bad because you can force yourself to do it. But if you don't want to, nobody can force you to do it." And so it all comes, I mean, I hate to oversimplify things, but ultimately when the cell, which is the basic unit of the body, when the cell is not getting what it needs, you're going to get worse. Now this happens in everybody. The law of entropy means that if you let it sit long enough, it's going to fall apart. And cells are the same way. And so there's two things that the cells have to do exceptionally well in order to be healthy and do what they need to do. And I like to simplify things because regular people understand simple. And if you can understand the pattern, then you can understand, you can take the small pattern and apply it to a large pattern and just find what you've got to do. The two things that the cell have to do every day mandatory is it has to get good stuff in and has to get bad stuff out. And so if you're getting bad stuff out, but you're not getting stuff in, that's not going to save you. If you're getting stuff in, but you're not getting bad stuff out, eventually that junk is going to build up in the cell and cause slowing down and, you know, garbage. You can think of it like this. Everybody hopefully takes the garbage out on a regular basis. Maybe that's daily. Maybe that's every other day, but let's think of it this way. If you take 99% of the garbage out every day, that sounds good on paper, but you still build up 1%. Well, after a day or two, 1% is not even going to notice. But after a year or two, that 1% is going to build up. And so you're going to find places for it. Now you get a back closet that's not getting used. So you fill up that garbage in the back closet. After a couple of decades, pretty soon, all the closets are full, underneath all the beds are full. Now you're starting to push it underneath carpets. And then you wonder why, why you have mice and why you have bugs and other critters that have found that garbage to enjoy it. You know, once you have the garbage in all the closets, underneath all the beds, underneath the tables, underneath the carpets, and you're wondering why you're now infested with other stuff you didn't want to live with. You've got to take out the garbage. And so when I say you've got to get the garbage out of the cell, I don't mean just out of the cell because you've got this interstitial space. That's the space in between cells. And so you got the pipes that are the kind of the freeways that take stuff in and bring stuff in and get stuff out. But you have this little space between the pipes and the cells. And so all that junk starts to build up there and slows everything down. And so ultimately, it's all about detoxification. But that word is heavily overused and super sloppy. You're like, well, what do you have to detoxify? Well, you know, it depends on where you've been, what you've done. But ultimately, you have to get stuff in and you have to get stuff out. I want to interject really quick because you know, you're talking about like all the trash coming into the house and now you're getting mice and critters. Those mice and critters, that's viruses, that's bacteria is like lime, that's infections, that's all like the biofilms that bring more infections. And so that's why like when people get treated for lime, it's like going after the mice, right? And then they're not getting better because all the junk is still there and it's bringing in more mice. You've created the perfect breeding ground for mice nests basically being the lime. Some people are even more heroic. They hire an exterminator. And so the exterminator comes in and the exterminator doesn't really care what they kill. They just want to get the mice. And in the body, we would call that on autoimmune disease. Yeah. You know, so if it attacks your family room, we might call that rheumatoid arthritis. Or if it attaches your kitchen, we might call that say Crohn's disease. And then we go, okay, well, now we have an exterminator problem. So we're going to bring in the backup crew who's going to take care of the exterminator problem. And the reality is while that's good in the acute form, you haven't solved anything. You haven't cleaned out the garbage. You haven't cleaned out the stuff to allow the body to do what it wanted to do anyway, which is heal and be healthy and vibrant because you're using all these heroic measures. Now, I'm not anti-heroic measures. I'm a huge fan. They saved several of my family members live. Huge fan is just that we in our society, we rely because we have these cool tools that came up that saving people from things that used to be 50% fatal. And now hardly anybody has a problem with those things. But we've gone to rely on them so heavily that the normal stuff that everybody used to do, culturally, everybody ate that. Not really anybody liked it, but everybody ate it. You know, whether it was kimchi or sauerkraut or haggis or whatever. You know, whatever the cultural food was, everybody ate it so that they could have health. And now we don't do that because we've gone to simple, easy things. And you know, that's not the point of today's conversation. That's why we are where we are. Yeah, this is why we're here. It's interesting, too, because when I talk with people that are ill, it's almost like it fell out of the sky. I don't know how this happened. I don't know how my body betrayed me. And what you just described and what's interesting, we started the Get's the Academy. This is the month that we've done the Mind Body Cell Course. And people are actually recognizing how this has all been a long time coming and how their habits and their lifestyles, how it's all accumulated over years, if not decades, to create illness. And so your line, your Epstein bar, it's not because you were around some of that Epstein bar and you got it, it's because going back to the analogy of the house and the trash, you've been collecting trash for a very, very long time. And so your body was primed and ready to get really, really ill. And the sooner that we can recognize that, the sooner we can create a protocol to reverse it, right? And realize that the body is actually designed to heal. It didn't just break on you out of nowhere, right? And so I think another part, too, and I want to get to therapies in a little bit, but another part is people lose trust in their body's ability to heal. And it's like, no, like your body, again, is designed to heal, it's just going to take a lot of work to undo all the damage that's been done over years and decades. And so it can be done. And that's what we're going to talk about today. As far as like expediting that healing, you know, for people that are, like you said, are chronically ill, their cells just are not supported at all and cannot take out the trash anymore. Like there are really big guns to help them do that. So I like to, you know, to summarize what you said with the mind body component, I like to say it came out of the blue. And then you find this sentence with like a scheduled airplane, like a scheduled airplane. I love that meaning, now it's coming. And if you'll watch for it, you know, on Boy Scouts, you learn to be prepared. And you can't learn that. And ultimately, health is the same way. The more you do at the front end, to optimize and nourish your body, the better you're going to have on the back end. An example of my wife, you know, you have an example of your dad, my wife had a massive stroke. It took out in her entire speech center, which means she shouldn't be able to speak. She was in the best shape of her life. She was actually in the process of being a beta tester for a health coach who has a lot of videos. She was really in the best health of her life. Why does she have a massive stroke? Well, unfortunately, we don't really know the answer of the full why. But because she was in the best shape of her life, she was out of the hospital in the physical therapy in six days. Amazing. She wanted to be out spinner than that. But I wouldn't let her out. And they wouldn't let her out. I wanted to make sure that she still haunts me about this. It's very unhappy for this. I wanted to make sure that modern medicine was going to do everything that they could do. So there was no question about, well, was there something else that we were missing that they could have done? When it became abundantly clear that there was nothing else that they could do, I like, okay, let's get out of here. Did you get her in your chamber, your hypobaric chamber ASAP? So then I got her home and we started doing oxygen therapies and we started doing IV therapies and we started doing everything to rebuild her brain. And people go, well, I can't afford that. Yeah, you're right. I couldn't afford it either. But I wanted my wife more than I wanted the I can't afford it. Excuse. So there's two things that I find that are just not really fixable in my practice. The first one is death. That's obvious. And the second one is just a negative attitude. And a lot of people get beaten down because they've been everywhere done and everything and they just are tired of being tired and sick and nobody's giving them any hope. And so they just get into this depressed place. And it's not just depression. It's they just have a really negative attitude about everything. And ultimately, we can't fix that negative attitude, but we can offer hope to help you come out of that negative attitude so that you can be well because there's hope at the end of this journey. There's a light at the end of the tunnel. It's not an oncoming train. It's a beautiful place to be where you have energy and your vibrant in your you have body composition that helps you to be well. And you just you have health. I always say like the universe always says yes. But you have to say yes to yourself first. And so you have to invest in your health. And it's interesting because people like, well, Jeanique, you come from a place of privilege. You've never had a lack of money. And I'm like, that's actually not true. I remember when Tristan was dying and like we used all of our money to pay for all of these last minute things. Like I was borrowing money from people, right? To like scrape. But I always said yes to him. And I always said yes to help. And like I always feel like the universe will always have a way of balancing itself at the universe. God, whatever it is, it's important enough that to invest in you. And I don't want this to sound harsh. But with the more we say no to ourselves, the more out of balance we're going to get. So oftentimes when we get to such a place of illness, it's because we have denied ourselves for so long. And so I always find illnesses a teacher. And maybe it's time to start saying yes to yourself. Maybe it's time to like people find the money to go to Disneyland. And Disney is like easily five grand. You know what I mean? There's a way to find money to invest in you so that you can have your life back. Don't put a price on that having your life back, having you back, having your energy, your mind, your body so that you can live an epic life full of awe and wonder. That's priceless, right? And so I want you to say yes to you because you deserve a life of healing and health. You know, I was doing some training on sales. And I'm not a big sales guy. Money is important. And I've gone through Feast and Famine where I had everything I needed. Plus a little extra. And Famine where I could barely meet my mortgage and pay my you know insurance and food. And I can appreciate that right there along with you, Johnny, you can as borrowing from everything Peter to pay Paul. And when it comes right down to it, you sometimes I'll have to like, but you need some sales training. A guy asked me he said, so what's the biggest cause of disease? And I was like, well, inflammation. He's like, well, what's the biggest cause of inflammation? Well, well, stress. He said, what's the biggest stress? And I'm like, well, finances. And he said, so are you asking people about finances? And it's just clicked like, no. And sometimes people, the biggest obstacle to them getting well is they need to do something that brings in more income so that they have more freedom. And that might be getting out of debt first so that they're freeing up their resources to be able to do what it takes to be well. And I have kind of a thing I've created. And there's other versions of that. It's kind of a therapeutic order of we have insurance. And we think that the insurance is going to cover everything that goes bad. But if you read the fine print and they used to work for an insurance company, really big one local here in Utah. And if you read the fine print, insurance covers major stuff, but they don't cover minor stuff. So you should think of insurance like your car insurance, meaning if something really bad happens, you're covered. But don't expect insurance to cover day in, day out, maintenance stuff, because that's not what it's designed for. And so this therapeutic order that I kind of put together is so my own brain would, hey, what's the most important thing versus the least important thing? And the therapeutic order is you start with stuff that you do every day. So, you know, you eat right, you sleep right, you're getting exercise appropriate to who you are, you have good, clean, healthy relationships, you have a good, healthy, clean environment, you're drinking, clean water. And you know, those are the basics. And if you're not doing those, no amount of drugs are really going to make you well. They will help band-aid and help you feel okay, but they're not going to make you well. And so those are mandatory, but if you're having a heart attack, those are not going to fix you. And so a lot of standard alipathy doctors get a bad rap because they say, well, drinking water is not going to save you from this or changing your diets, not going to save you from this. Well, sometimes they're right, sometimes they're wrong, depending on what we're talking about, but that's the foundation. And if you're not doing that, you can't expect your body to get better, you can only at best maintain where you are. And usually because of entropy, maintaining means you're going to get worse, less fast. Well, entropy and also genetics, right? Like, as you age, that thing called age, things are just going to start declining unless you are actively going against that and trying to redo that. In Prova Health, we have nutrition, we have health coaches to help you with that foundation. And to some degree, I'll help as well, but I'm expensive. And health coaches are cheaper and they're amazing. I dare say a untapped resource, but we all get to do what we're going to do, right? And so we're trying to help them get more tapped in to be able to do more. That's the foundation. And the next level is, I would dare say, physics. Now in modern medicine, we use physics and things like an EKG, an EEG, an MRI, in complementary and alternative medicine, we said we'll use physics like acupuncture and homeopathy, but I dare say like massage therapy and cranial psychotherapy and a lot of other energy work medicines all have a place. And in some places, and sometimes those are curative, other times they just help to nudge, which is powerful, your body to get better. And so will that occur from a heart attack? Probably not, but it can help to, like I had a patient in my office, and she was having a heart attack, but it didn't look like a heart attack, but it looked like extreme tachycardia. I gave her homeopathic remedy. It brought it down by like, you know, it was 200 and something. I couldn't count it. It brought her heart rate down to 100 and something which I could count, which was good. God, her to the emergency room so that she could get the help that she needed. And so it's a tool. You use it and use all of the best medicine. And so we haven't gotten to more heroic therapies, say like physical therapy or detoxification therapy or chiropractic or massage, the hands-on things, but we use those things or like even more heroic therapies like coming into the office and doing hyperbaric or ozone or a socket or IV therapy, all of which are more powerful. And so you ask yourself, how do I know what I need? Well, the more severe your symptoms, the more garbage you have in your house, the more you're going to have to do. And the more you can do, the better you're going to be. So I want to talk about, like illness is sometimes like a snowball effect, right, where it starts off slow, where we get these like yellow flags. The yellow flags turn into orange flags. And so, you know, you're catching speed. And then it's going faster, faster, faster down the hill. And now there are these red flags, right. And people are like, oh my gosh, I'm in a health crisis. I have these flares and I can't function. And my brain's not working anymore. Like, what do I do? So remember the snowball, the faster it goes down the hill, the more power you're going to need to once stop that momentum. And then reverse it because the further down the hill, it is the steeper it is and the harder it is to get back up. I like to call this like the inflammatory curve, like the higher you are on that inflammatory curve, the more big like guns you're going to need to reverse that inflammatory curve. So when people are in a health crisis, we can utilize things like one, you should absolutely be utilizing nutrition. Like to because that has medicine in it to help your cells heal and your bones and your body and all that. But it's going to be a slow burn of healing. Because again, you're dealing with this ginormous like snowball that has all this momentum. And you're just throwing nutrition at it and that like you're not going to see effects for potentially years. So like nutrition is something everyone should absolutely be on top of when they're in a healing crisis. But you're going to need these big guns like ozone therapy, oxygen therapy, IVs, to really make a dent to one, slow down the momentum of your inflammatory crisis and then to reverse it. And you don't have to be in a crisis. You can be approaching a crisis where it's like you should absolutely consider these therapies to slow down that momentum. Because there's people that are like, I'm changing my nutrition, but I'm still not better. And I'm like, yeah, because your inflammatory momentum hasn't slowed down and stopped yet. Like you haven't done that you're not doing enough to slow that momentum down, right? And so I think that's where people are like, it's not working. I'm like, it is. But think about being in debt, right? Like let's say you're in debt and your interest payment is like 30%. But you're like half a million dollars in debt. And you're paying $50 a day towards that. Like you're going to be accruing more interest than you are paying off your debt. And it's just like that in the body. Is that speaking sense? Is this translating doctorate? Yeah, it is. I have a different analogy that I've used and I'll you throw this one in here as well because it'll give another another measure for people to better understand. I love the debt analogy. And I use it as well. And so early on in my practice, I learned about the tax rule. Now we just asked April, which is tax season. But the tax rule goes like this. If you're sitting on a thumbtack, it takes an awful lot of time and all to make you feel well. Right. And you think, well, duh, shouldn't I just take out the tax? Of course you should. But if you're sitting on two thumbtacks, taking one out does not make you feel 50% better. And if you're sitting on five thumbtacks, taking one out won't change a thing. It will, but you won't notice that anything changed because you're in a lot of discomfort. And so you have to do enough to compensate for that massive overload of inflammation. You have to do enough to bring that stress off and rebuild things so that you can see a difference. And it still takes time. We live in a society where, hey, Doc, give me a pill and I'm going to feel better. Well, we've learned that that is not really a sustainable pattern because while the pill will make you feel better in the short term, the pill has side effects. And the pill, while, you know, if you take an antibiotic for a strep infection, ultimately the process that's going on there is you're taking something to kill the bug so that your body can do what it wanted to do anyway. You're taking the stress off by giving the antibiotic. That part's good. The problem is, is that antibiotic doesn't just kill the strep, it kills the good stuff as well, which puts you at risk for more things downstream. And there's time and place for antibiotics. But don't assume that just because you took a pill, everything's going to get better because chances are there's going to be something following behind that that you did on accident not realizing it. Yeah. Again, like we all have strep in our bodies, but when you have a strep flare, it's because the right environment was allowing it to thrive. And so, like you said, there's just something else knocking on the door behind the strep because the environment is still highly conducive to these things thriving that the negative bacteria and viruses and whatnot. So, we've spoken about a healing crisis. And when people are in a healing crisis, we need nutrition, we probably need some supplements to do a lot of damage control to help slow down that momentum of inflammation and dysfunction in the body. Here at Provo Health, we have vetted some really like massively big tools that help move the help move the needle drastically. Like we don't play around with fruity things. The reason why we have picked oxygen therapies is why doctor right. Go ahead. Oxygen is a catalyst. And oxygen in our bodies, it creates free radicals. Now, lots of people know what a free radical is now, but effectively what happens is you take a deep breath, your body gets the oxygen to the mitochondria, which is where you can process that oxygen and turn it into something useful. So effectively, what your body does is splits that O2, there's two molecules of oxygen hang out together, splits it in half. Now, you have two very highly charged, very powerful molecules. And those will destroy us. The good news is our bodies are designed to take all that energy and siphon it off and turn it into usable energy called ATP. And that's what our bodies use for energy. Now, we cannot store any ATP. We have to make it. And so what happens is our body has an entire system to take that free radical oxygen and siphon off all the power and then spit out water and carbon dioxide as the exhaust, which also both have tools and uses. And so our bodies are designed around oxygen. So oxygen is actually the core of what our bodies use as energy. The reason we picked oxygen is because when you get oxygen into the body in a more bio-available form, whether it's breathing, which we do that in the form of hyperbaric, we just augment it, or in the form of ozone. Most people have been through some basic biology and in basic biology, we learned about the immune system. It is a super easy, super high-level stuff. You probably remember that the immune system sees a bad guy, gobbles it up, puts it into a safe room, squirts a bunch of stuff onto it to destroy it and take it all apart, takes a piece and says, "Hey, everybody, immune system, kill that." Well, the thing that the body, and the research found that the thing that the body squirts onto the thing that it's killing, that our bodies are killing, is actually an oxygen radical in the form of either ozone or hydrogen peroxide. And so that is what our bodies physically use. We use it for energy, but we also use it as a killer of stuff that our bodies don't want anymore. So we picked things that use oxygen because it's the safest, most powerful tool to allow our bodies to heal. And literally, there's no toxicity to it because it's what we're already using, we're just augmenting what our body already does. So I'm going to correct you there because when we do hyperbaric, we actually have to do air breaks depending on the thing. And you know this because you can have too much oxygen in the brain. Yes, you can. And so that's why when they go to certain depths of atmospheric pressure, we do air breaks. So every 30 minutes, the client will take an air break where their brain like uses antioxidants to help metabolize the oxygen in the brain. And then it comes back to neutrality again. Thank you for that correction, because oxygen oxygen is actually toxic to us as well. But we have systems to be able to deal with that toxicity so that we cannot be poisoned. And yes, if you give a child pure oxygen, you actually can make that baby. Like if you give a brand new baby pure oxygen, you can actually cause blindness. Because their bodies aren't designed to metabolize such high concentrations of oxygen. So that's why again, we have such trained staff to administer high doses of oxygen. We have protocols. It's not like a willy nilly soft shell with like a strange concentrator that doesn't get serviced or anything like that. It's very, very medical and it's high precision and high touch points because it is so powerful and it can go wrong. One thing that I wanted to talk about with ozone because I love ozone therapy and I love oxygen therapies because ozone, when you expose your mitochondria and yourself to ozone, it actually antiages your mitochondria. And what's interesting is people don't recognize how important mitochondrial health is to a healthy body, right? Like your mitochondria have age and they can be oxidized and they can be damaged and then they produce less ATP. And your body runs off of ATP. It's like saying, hey, I have a house with no electricity. You're like, this is a dysfunctional house. I can't use it to wash my clothes and laundry and turn on my computers, right? So your body needs ATP. It needs this electricity and you need a lot of it, especially when you're sick, especially when you are ill because you have had all that collection of dirt going on, it actually damages your mitochondria. And so you need to antiage your mitochondria, you need to like do damage control with the mitochondria and that's what ozone does. Ozone helps to decrease the age of your mitochondria and to help the damage of the mitochondria and it can reverse the age of the mitochondria and then the oxygen therapies actually feed the mitochondria to make ATP. So it's like a double whammy there. Well, you're fixing the factory that makes the energy plus you're adding the ingredients into the energy to make the energy, right? And to make a high dose of the energy, like because we're doing damage control now, right? None of energy isn't good enough because X amount of energy helps a healthy body function. You need two to three to four X of energy to do all the damage control that's been built up in your body to help slow down and reverse the momentum of that inflammation that's in your body. Anything you want to add to that? I'm gonna correct that just a smidgen because we talk about ozone doing that and it does. But the mechanism that it does is kind of like if you're lifting weights, you're stressing and tearing your muscle by a stress and you have a stronger response to repair that muscle called muscle building. But you had an initial stress that harmed you that your body rebuilt and the ozone actually does a little bit of harm and our bodies because we have the compensatory mechanisms go in and fix the slight harm that they did with a massive amount of rebuilding, which is exactly that. It has an anti-aging effect. It's like, okay, I'm going to stimulate the body to repair itself with a smidgen of stress. And now we have all these systems that don't just turn on and off. They turn on, go through their entire process and then off. So it's like a harmetic effect? Yes. So it uses hermesis to help anti-age. So how is ozone different to, let's say toxins? Because toxins just damage. Like toxins aren't a hermetic effect. Where's ozone is? Why is that? What's the difference? Well, because our bodies are designed around oxygen in all its forms to be able to repair and fuel and a toxin. Let's let's pick on mercury. Mercury is the second most poisonous mineral known demand right behind uranium. And so if you put in a mercury, the body goes, well, I can't use that anywhere. And so that starts pulling things apart. And so you have to make a whole bunch of heroic systems to stop from the pulling apart and grab it and remove it. And mercury will actually block the production of the things that remove mercury. And so not only do you have a front end damage from the mercury exposure, you also have the back end where the mercury is stopping you from getting rid of it. And that's part of the reason why it's so nasty. Yeah, that totally makes sense. So when's the hermetic effect? The other one is just damage. And it's like massive. It's like driving a car through a wall. Basically, it's like, there's no benefit to that whatsoever. I want to go back to hyperbaric oxygen therapy and why it's so effective. Because what people don't understand, the difference between why we have hard shell versus soft shell. Imagine you are having the worst period of your life. And you need ibuprofen. I remember my periods were so bad if I didn't take ibuprofen, I would pass out from pain, right? And I would start throwing up in the toilet. Like I needed ibuprofen. There was no way to Merrick was going to get me through, right? And so pretend you're having the worst period of your life. And someone says, I have 50 milligrams for you. What are you going to do? You're going to be like, I'm sorry. I need that whole bottle of like, no, but I only have 50 milligrams. That 50 milligrams is going to do nothing, right? It's going to do absolutely nothing other than disrupt your microbiome. And you're going to get angry because your pain is still very present, very prevalent, and you're miserable. So what if someone came up to you and said, I have a thousand milligrams of ibuprofen for you, you're going to be like, absolutely, I need that right now because my body is falling apart. Or it feels like it's falling apart. It's not, it's just, it's in a inflammatory response. That's the difference between a hard shell chamber and a soft shell chamber, right? So when it comes to a hard shell chamber, that's the thousand milligrams of ibuprofen. But it's not ibuprofen. It's oxygen. It's oxygen that's going in and it's doing damage control. And it's actually anti-aging. And it's like, it's speeding up the recovery of your cells of every cell in your body. Every cell in your body is expediting its healing on a highly accelerated rate, right? Versus a soft shell chamber that doesn't really have the same benefit. To add a male analogy, it's kind of like you go to your gym and you pick up the one pound weights. Exactly. And you're going to do a full body weight with that full body exercise with those one pound weights. Or you have an entire gym. Exactly. You have a whole gym of like 50 pound dumbbells and because you go to the gym and you have the one pound, you're like, it's not working. It's like, well, I'm not getting an infant from this. It's wasting my time like, yep, you're not doing enough. You need something stronger. And for full disclosure, I have a soft shell chamber at home. And they're great. And it's wonderful. Like, there's so good, right? It's good. But if you're looking at fast, thorough, deep healing, my soft chamber doesn't do the job. Yeah. It's not, it's not enough oxygen. It's just not enough. It's so good for overall health and wellness though. Like, don't get me wrong. Like, to optimize and like on a healthy person to optimize like, it's perfect. But I'm pretty sure if we were friends back then. And I had my clinic, you would have been like, Jeanique, I need your hard shell chamber. And I would have been like, absolutely, right? With your daughters. Yeah. Well, and I was referring people to your hard side chamber. Right. Exactly. And I knew that my soft side was nowhere near nowhere near sufficient. It's a good thing for general work and for good health. But again, if you're needing heart surgery because you had a heart attack, you need the big guns to help you get well, you know, and taking an aspirin isn't going to fix that. Totally. And so if you really are sick and your really body is not healing very well, you need more heroic therapies to the level of the severity of your disease to help you get well. Now, if you're looking for anti-aging, will this work better and faster? Absolutely. Exactly. So it's just such a powerful, it's like turning back time. It's a huge gun with massive results, like such good results and like hundreds of thousands of research papers behind it. Right. Like there is no refuting the effects of hyperbaric oxygen therapy because it is just so profound. Right. And so I mean, we work with a plastic surgeon who when he's in a bind when he's like, Hey, like, there's this client here whose body is not healing and they're going to lose a nipple or they're going to lose like a breast or something. We get them in the chamber and it works miracles. Like this stuff works and it works well. And so that's why we use it because every single cell in the body utilizes it, your mitochondria utilize it for more ATP. So it's the same thing. It's like, do you want one X of energy or 10X to help your body reverse disease or dysfunction, right? You're going to want 10X and that's why we put you in a hyperbaric because we're going to get you 10X of energy and ATP production for your body to help reverse damage and disease and dysfunction. That's why I left the hyperbaric so much when I was in my health crisis and it felt like my brain was literally melting. I would you bet your bottom dollar I was like in a hyperbaric chamber every single day. And it took me about two months because I was completely incapacitated. Like I couldn't run my company. It was hard to even raise my children. And I always say this was like hard to brush my teeth and have conversations. I was just like, it took so much mental power to like get up and brush my teeth. And I know that sounds stupid, but I know there's people listening right now that can resonate with that, right? Where it's just like the brain just wasn't working. I would read emails over and over and I'd be like, I don't even know what I read. And then I'd go into like a panic spiral. And then I would start to get dizzy. And then it was like pot symptoms, right? And I was in a hyperbaric chamber every single day for two months. And after that, I started running my company again. I wasn't perfect, but I was super functional again. Where I was like, okay, I can podcast again. I can raise my children. I can function like I'm 70% there and 70% is better than 10% where I was crashing and burning at an accelerated rate. You know, when I started studying Lyme disease a lot for hyperbaric, I was like, why should I use my chamber for hyperbaric? I was like, well, if you're dealing with chronic infection, doesn't matter which one. If you're dealing with chronic infection, the soft chambers do not work. And the hard chambers worked exceptionally well. And we found in our office with a few patients because we've been combining therapies that when you do the hyperbaric and massively put all that wonderful oxygen into the tissue, and then you come out and add more nutrition, whether it's an IV of B vitamins or glutathione or ozone or whatever, all of a sudden you start seeing exponential treatment because now, not only do you have the hyperbaric treatment, which is amazing, now you have ozone and the ultraviolet treatment, which is amazing. You combine them. It's not one plus one is equal to two is one plus one is equal to five or six. And then you add glutathione and B vitamins on there to nourish the body and help it to function. You're now getting exponential improvement, not just additive improvement. So I want to talk about the difference between hyperbaric versus ozone therapies, because in my dad's case, hyperbaric wasn't strong enough. And so we found out during the time where he was deteriorating, and it's interesting, he got to point where he actually reached out for help, which I know took a tremendous amount of energy on his part because he doesn't want to receive help ever. He's fine. His whole life, he's been a workhorse and an ox. And so to be an injured ox was really hard for him to accept. But the difference between hyperbaric and ozone, when we added ozone and when we added IVs, the ozone is kind of like a mass killer. Hyperbaric is a healer, oxygen therapies help heal and accelerate healing. But when there's infection and when there is viruses and bacterias and chronic infection, you want the ozone because it's kind of a hydrogen peroxide or like bleach that just one, your immune cells and your cells gobble up ozone as like something that's healing to the cells. But ozone is actually antiviral, antibacterial, antifungal. And so it's so beautiful that there is this healing molecule that we can weaponize against bad things that live in your body, but then boost everything that is you, your cells, your DNA, your your white blood cells. Like it's used as a weapon with your cells to help mitochondrial function, help cellular function, help white blood cell function. And so in my dad's case, we were using hyperbaric to heal, but he was starting to get infections that were probably dormant, but now came out to play because his body was weakened. Is there anything that you want to add to that as the differences between the two? Hyperbaric, a treatment is going to last for six to 12 hours, meaning you do it in a day is done by the next day. And all the therapy that's been done is that's how long it lasts, which is why you have to do multiple sessions of it to get the benefit from it, because each one is like a step in the right direction. Ozone will bind, you know, you put it, we put, we bubble the ozone into blood and the ozone is gone in less than a fraction of a second. And it binds to proteins and fats, which now are very stable. And then the body circulates them. So you're actually getting benefits from ozone for up to two weeks after each treatment. I love that for up to two weeks. That's really incredible. And like I want to go to the analogy of the house again with all the trash, because let's say the house with the trash now, everything's like, let's say things are damaged in the house, right? For some reason, the trash is causing the tables and the walls and everything to kind of disintegrate. Hyperbaric helps to replenish the walls and the tables and the furniture and all that and repair that. But you still have the critters, right? And you still have all that stuff. And so ozone gets rid of the critters and the mice. And it like kills all the things that are now living off the junk. Now, let's get to detoxification of the junk in general, right? Like what are the therapies that you love most to help people detox? Wow, we could do an entire podcast on that. You probably should. So I love, I love the hawket and I like less the hawket. Here's the reason why. I'm a huge fan of sauna and hawket takes sauna to like exponentially high level. The upside of that is it helps your body to purge to the skin, which is the largest of the detoxification organs. The downside is that takes energy. And so if you have somebody who has really depleted and they've gotten nothing left, they can't get into the hawket because they have nothing left and that takes energy. And so a huge fan, but it's four people who still have something left. And so if you have nothing left, my favorite detox is the iron cleanse because it's passive. All you have to do is sit there. And so it's gradually drawing things out. And I've been using iron cleanse for, I don't know, 18 years or so. And I have one. I use it regularly. It's an amazing tool because what it does is it creates a magnetic field, if you will, positive or negative charge in saltwater, which then draws passively, passively in that it doesn't take any energy from you actively because it's doing the work and it draws it through the lymphatic system. And since the lymphatic system is always working and the body's always pumping limp, you're pulling toxins through the skin via the lymphatic system. You know, I've done my own testing on it. I've seen a lot of interesting things. I've seen different colors come out of different people. It's very consistent that people who are morticians typically have turquoise blue color. Interesting. Which I'm guessing that's from aldehyde. You know, I've seen brown nasty bubbly stuff. I've seen green disgusting stuff. I've seen flakes of stuff. But ultimately, that's cool. But what I care most about is people get better like consistently. And it's my favorite tool. If somebody gets a herkseimer reaction and you started this off by talking about a healing crisis, a healing crisis is not the same thing as a herkseimer reaction. Herkseimer reaction is you did something, killed something, that thing died and released a bunch of poison into your body and you're getting sick from that poison. And I'm going to probably push some buttons of doctors here. But I don't think herkseimer reactions are necessary. Let me say that again. If you're having herkseimer reaction, probably we've missed something because I find that when we get people well and help their bodies to do what they need you to get well, we go in just the right order and just the right speed. So they'll have a healing crisis, which might mean they're a little sicker, a little more fatigued. You know, they'll have a flare up of symptoms, but it's mild. And when they're done with it, they feel better than they did at baseline. As opposed to a herkseimer reaction, where we give them something antibiotics are common for causing herkseimer reactions. But I've seen them after super, super, super high dose ozone as well. People get sick and then they stay sick and they get really achy and feverish. And then when they finally get over it, they come back to baseline. And so I dare say her herkseimer reaction is not necessary. That makes sense. And it's very uncomfortable. You just have to support the body. I want to keep talking about powerful tools. But for people that are like, I don't have access to a clinic or I don't like, what are things that people can do at home? Can they buy an ion cleanse at home? Everyone can sauna at home. Just be being very careful, right? Making sure that you are not overstressing your body. But like, what are things that people can do at home if they don't have access to clinics? Well, if you live in the South, you can walk outside and that acts like a sauna. Yeah, exactly. It's on your mind. So there's an option for, you know, a good portion of the United States. If you live in another tropical country, you can walk outside and that acts like a sauna. So, but a sauna is great. And there are affordable, portable solos that you can get for under a thousand dollars. It worked beautifully. You can also do dry skin brushing where you just get a lufra sponge or a national bristle brush. You gently wash. You want to brush towards your heart. You want to push down about the weight of a dime or a quarter. If you're pushing too hard, you're going to exfoliate, but you're not going to get the lymphatic brushing effect. And you want to brush towards your heart. That helps to move the lymphatic flow. And that's a mild detox, which is effective. I like baking soda baths or Epsom salts baths. Both types of baths have a drawing effect, whereas while an Epsom salts bath has a mildly drawing effect helps to pull stuff out of the skin, it also some of that magnesium in the Epsom salts will penetrate the skin and boost your magnesium load or levels. And also people who've done clay baths, those have been helpful from time to time. Vinegar baths also can be helpful. Don't use vinegar and soda baking soda because they're opposites. So we'll cancel each other out. You get a really cool bubbly reaction as well, but that's not really very, very therapeutic. Other things that you can do, I'm a huge fan of coffee animators. Anybody who's willing to do a coffee and it was probably willing to do what it takes to get well. It does need to be organic. It needs to be pesticide-free and mold-free. And there are good organic coffees out there that are really beneficial that are fantastic. Coffee animators are amazing. You can do colonics, find a colon hydrotherapist, you can do colonics, you can do animators of other kinds. There are deep breathing as a mild detox. There's exercise. People are in a healing crisis. You can't really exercise because you don't have the energy to even help your body heal, but mild exercise can be really helpful. Even walking, going to the pool and walking in the water, that can be a good exercise. Even if you can't do anything but move your feet, then lay on your bed and point your toes and just move your feet like you're stepping on the gas of your car. Just move your feet over and over. That acts as a pump to move lymphatic flow. I mean, jumping on a rebounder, on a mini trampoline, moves lymphatic flow and is a helpful detox movement. Just moving is helpful. And so all these things are things that our bodies use to make us a little bit better. One thing that I want to add in because we're talking therapies, and this is mostly a therapies thing, but I wanted to throw that in because I'm like, people are listening to like, oh, I feel so helpless because I need a clinic. Clinics are helpful. Therapies are really helpful and they move the needle quick fast and furiously. You can completely transform your healing journey in a few months just by using therapies, but if you're at home, there are these things that Dr. Wright just mentioned that you can do. That's just going to take a little bit longer or a lot longer. And that's okay, but it's better than nothing, like start now. It could take you years to move the needle, but again, like buckle up for the ride, right? It can actually be a really beautiful healing journey that you pursue as you learn to respect and take care and nurture your body through healing modalities. But the one thing that I do want to mention as well, which is one of my favorite therapies of all time, which I believe has saved my life, is neurofeedback. I think, and I want to hear you weigh in. I just want to geek out on neurofeedback for a few episodes someday. But like, the thing is when your body gets so ill and it creates a stress response, it also creates like an ill brain. So ill body ill brain. And the thing about the brain is that, unfortunately, when it comes to like brainwave activity, alpha, theta, delta, beta, you know, all of those, like the body can heal, but the brainwave activity stays in an altered unhealthy pattern. Because, and I don't know why our brains were designed this way, but they don't have this like auto correction. So think of like when you learn to ride a bike, right? And if the bike falls one way, you push your body the other way to create neutrality on the bike again, right? And so, and then you lean the other way and then your body leans to course correct. So you're stabilized. When your brain starts to alter brainwave patterns without really large things like let's say you're in a healing crisis, but you're meditating five hours a day to help rebalance the brainwave activity. There's nothing that is automatic that rebalances your brain again. So here's a great example. I knew someone back in the day who got in a car accident and it created this interesting brain pattern where she didn't heal. Like there was trauma and there was this trauma response that caused her to keep creating car accidents on the road and no one could understand it and talk therapy didn't work and all that. And it's because the brain had patterned its way to seek out the event that caused it in the first place. And they tried to talk therapy and they tried all of these therapies. And obviously it wouldn't work because you're dealing with this like subconscious old brain neuro patterning that required neurofeedback to rebalance the brain into neutrality again. So when we have these like traumas and we think mental traumas are the ones that alter our brain, but we don't realize physical traumas do the same thing. So I'm going to refer to mental traumas. When we have these these mental traumas, let's say you're in a car accident again and you were turning left and now every time you turn left, you have a panic attack, right? You absolutely know. You're conscious. My nose, hey, I'm actually safe. There's no cars on the road. Why is my body going into this stress response and why does it feel like it's dying right now, right? The brain can't auto correct itself without the utilization of like EMDR or neurofeedback or some kind of therapy to bring it back into balance. This is what neurofeedback does. It takes your over amplified brain waves or under amplified brain waves and it retrain them back into neutrality again. And so a lot of times when people are ill, it creates an ill brain and then they start to heal their body and it starts reflecting on their labs and they're like, but why do I still feel terrible? And it's because the brain hasn't caught up. The brain actually isn't reflecting the health of the body anymore because it's stuck in this diseased pattern. And so is there anything that you, so I love neurofeedback and prova health is actually, and the reason why I'm plugging this in is because prova health by the time this episode is out, we're probably going to have a remote neurofeedback treatment where you can take the treatment to your house and mail it back to us and you can do neuro retraining at home, right? And so I just think neurofeedback is life changing. If I could have like a non-profit organization, it would be to provide neurofeedback to the world. But I can't do that. I don't have that much power. But what I can do is try to provide neurofeedback to as many people as possible for a very affordable price. Doctorate, what are your thoughts on neuro? There's interviews to neurofeedback, a good decade ago. I saw amazing things happen. I got my own neurofeedback devices, been using those for the last while year, a couple years. It's phenomenal. We do exercise for our bodies, but we don't do exercise for our brains. And you know, it's one of those things where if you don't use it, you're going to lose it. And in school, we do exercise because we are, you know, memorizing things and going to places and seeing new things and stimulating our brains. We get at a school, we get into what a profession is and we stop doing that. Or you get stuck in a feedback loop of PTSD or trauma or anxiety or a adrenal exhaustion where now you're you're getting into that fight or flight response over and over and over. You need something gentle because brain doesn't like not gentle. You need something gentle to I'm going to say reprogram or rewire. And that doesn't really fit, but it is illustrative. It illustrates the point of you're exercising the brain. So I've stated the brain a lot, gotten certified by in courses from some of the best of the best. And ultimately, what we find with the brain is is if you have one part of the brain that's firing too much and another part of the brain is asleep. Think of it like, you know, people who have ADD or ADHD, typically the front part, the prefrontal cortex is on at rest and off at stress. Or you can have part of the brain that's connecting things is off at stress and on at rest. And so one neurofeedback does is we do a brain mapping, which is really helpful to find out where your brain is out of balance. We do the brain mapping so you can see the hotspots and the cold spots. And then you do the neurofeedback, which is literally it stimulates the brain and says, here's a carrot. Why don't you follow this way and do that one more? So it's like physical exercise for your brain to strengthen weak parts or calm down excessively strong parts. And it's phenomenal for helping rewire the brain. Like I just did neurofeedback this morning and going into the session, my brain was kind of foggy, kind of sloppy. It couldn't quite get on top of that. Done with neurofeedback, 30 plus minutes later. It's on. I'm not stressed. It's like, you know, the thing that moved the needle for me tremendously within my illness was one, like starting ozone IV and neurofeedback at the same time. Like when I did those two things, it was like I was a different person within like a week or two. And it's because my own brain was almost like retraumatizing myself to create an inflammatory response in my body. Like as soon as I, for instance, like before I started the neuro and the ozone IVs, I would get these like tremors and like tingling in my hands and feet. And then my brain would hook onto it and would assess about it. And then I would go into a panic response and it would make the tingling and the neurological tremors worse. Right. And then as they got worse, my mental capacity got worse, which made the symptoms worse. And it was just this like spiral until I was like I can't function. Right. And so when I started neuro, the tingling would start not during neuro, but like I would be at home and like my hands would tingle or something would go numb. And there was not the story anymore. I was like, wow, I'm not spiraling. And then my body started healing because I was getting out of the way. Right. I was like my mind was getting out of the way of the healing. And I was just like just observing the symptoms versus creating a story of how these symptoms were my demise. My body literally felt like it was dying as it was experiencing tingling symptoms. And so what that's what neuro feedback gifted me was peace again. It was peace amongst the symptoms. And as my body has started to create peace, the symptoms have gotten better and better and better and better. When my body was creating a story around it, the symptoms are getting worse and worse and worse and worse and worse. And our gutsy academy called last night, Britt Lefko said this so perfectly. She said, the body is designed to create homeostasis around what the mind is conjuring up. Right. And so if the mind is feeling anger, the body creates homeostasis around the anger. If the mind or your emotions are creating self-loathing, the body creates homeostasis around self-loathing. My mind was so fixated on illness and disease and getting sick that my body was creating homeostasis around me fixating on my symptoms. Right. And so therefore it would amplify the symptoms and the symptoms would amplify the mental obsession around it. And so like I just think again with neuro feedback, not only that, but we've had people who were sensitive to supplements and foods and had food allergies that it goes away entirely, right? Just by balancing the brain. Food sensitivities go away. Hypersensitivity to treatments go away. Hypersensitivity to supplements go away. All because we toned the brain down and told it to stop being so hyper vigilant about everything happening in the body. And it's interesting because I interviewed a psychologist who does hypnotherapy for IBD and IBS patients. And he says in 80% of all the people suffering with IBD, IBS and like severe gut diseases, he says hypnosis, just bringing the body back into balance is hearing 80% of these people with these extreme gut issues. They're not changing anything else. And when I was interviewing him, I was like, this is what we're seeing in neuro. When we balance the brain, like the brain doesn't hyper accentuate all the symptoms and all the inflammation and all the dysfunction, it brings it back to neutrality again. So anyways, anything you want to add to that before we wrap this puppy up. Amen. It's amazing. It's amazing. And it really makes a lot more difference than people suspect it does. And it goes a lot deeper and a lot further than what it appears on the surface. Yeah, it's interesting. And I've shared this before, my kids have done neuro in the clinic. And then I'm using this ad home neuro device. We're testing out ad home kits right now, Dr. Right and I are and our team are. And my son has been trying it out too. And the two days that he's tried it out, he tells me he loves me, right? Whereas like it's so rare for him to say that to be in his heart. But like every time he does neuro, he gets really open-hearted and really open and really like machine and gooey. And he's like, I love you, mom, where's normally I'll say I love you. And you go, I'll just go, but like every time he does neuro, he says it back and he's so soft and he's so gentle. And it's like, it's so incredible to watch. It's incredible what our brains do to us. It truly is. And so if we can get the control center, the brain online, then the body will be online too. Anyways, listeners, I hope this has been helpful. I hope you guys have learned like the healing power of certain modalities that can really help. If you're in a in a health crisis, Dr. Right and I, our message is always like there's hope and there's healing. Like healing happens. Just recruit the right tools, recruit the right supplements, recruit the right people to help you because it can happen and it happens all the time. And we never want you to give up hope or feel lost. And so anything, any words of advice before we end this episode, Dr. Right? No, I think we've heard it. Hey, awesome.
