Power Ranking Instant Fantasy Regrets After Week 1, Fantasy Court, and Craig Got Stabbed at the Emmys

The episode centers on a humorous and self-deprecating power-ranking of things fans instantly regret after just one week of NFL football. The hosts, Danny Hyves, Danny Kelly, and Craig Coralbeck, openly admit to major missteps in fantasy football, with the most prominent being the decision to draft Jalen Waddle. Despite widespread belief in his potential, Waddle delivered only one catch for two yards and failed to meet expectations, highlighting how poor coaching and player rotation—particularly under Sean Payton—can lead to fantasy disaster. The hosts also express regret for ignoring Patrick Mahomes’ early-game brilliance, questioning their judgment in doubting a top-tier quarterback. Other regrets include believing in the Chargers, overvaluing Devonte Adams, and overlooking the Rams’ poor performance, especially with Matt Stafford dead last in fantasy points. The episode underscores how fantasy football decisions are often driven by emotion, FOMO, and flawed analysis. The hosts also critique the lack of consistency in team performance, citing the Eagles' struggling offense and Packers’ weak run game. Ultimately, they conclude that fantasy success requires not just data, but better decision-making, self-awareness, and a willingness to remove players from rosters—especially those who don’t live up to expectations. The segment ends with a call for more disciplined fantasy strategies, including a proposed "fantasy blacklist" of teams or players to avoid, emphasizing that scouting is less about finding gems and more about eliminating bad options.

Welcome to the ringer fantasy football show. My name is Danny Hyves. It's today joined by Danny Kelly and Craig Coralbeck. And today it is hour, hour, where every Wednesday we power rink something. And this week we are power rinking all of the things we instantly immediately regret after one week of football and feel really stupid about inspired by Jalen Waddle. I'm on an episode pull, right, Craig? Yeah. You guys witnessed me kind of crashing out in real time. I was at the Emmys, which we can talk about at the end of the episode and I was also watching the game on my phone and checking the Denver box score over and over thinking this can't be right. Jalen Waddle playing, did he tweak an ankle? What happened? And yeah, it inspired the idea of what's the immediate week one regret? The post not clarity of what was I thinking? Of course, this week horribly wrong. Of course. Yeah. Just feel unbelievably, immediately, unbelievably stupid for a bunch of things. We have a whole list here. We have to, we have to start though with this Broncos cheese game. The cheese absolutely obliterated the Broncos. It was 31 to 10, it was just kept getting worse and worse as the game goes. I want to give, I don't even know where to start like Ken Walker, Jalen Waddle, the mom's, all these things, do we start? Do you want to give Ken Walker's flowers here or should we just talk about Jalen Waddle? I would like to hate him so much. I would like to start with Jalen Waddle and then we can get to, we can get to the more exciting stuff. The Jalen Waddle thing to me is just, I can't believe I fell for it again, man. Like I can't believe I did this to myself. So everyone knew everyone knew I was going to regret it immediately when I was talking about this. Why didn't anyone tell me directly? Did anyone call me or staged some kind of intervention? - I already had the one catch for two yards. - One catch for two yards. - He had one catch from three yards. - Yeah, he had three targets, one of which was a blatant drop. Yeah, so I don't know why I did this. I don't know why I did it. I was a fourth round pick for a lot of people. I have been the regular league. - Yeah, I took my long standing high school league that I had for 15 plus years. I took Jalen Waddle. He was there, it seemed like a reasonable price. And I was like, "Everybody seems to be in on Jalen Waddle." And I guess I'll just hop in. What if I'm wrong? What if Jalen Waddle is great? I'm not going to be the stupid idiot who sits this one out. I needed, on Monday Night Football, to win. And week one for my team, I needed 14 points from Waddle. A reasonable number and a half people are there. I was like, "All right, 60 yards in a touchdown, I'd probably get it done." I needed 14 points. He didn't even get 14 yards. And I just, and you know what's funny is I knew it. Like after the first quarter was over, I was like, I know it. I know it's not going to happen. I can feel it. I know the way they're like, he's like a decoy. They're just like running him in certain directions and then throwing it the other way. Pat Bryant and Evan Ingram are running around like crazy. You know, I just, the guy who doesn't fucking play any of his best players, that DK's been talking about for three years. I don't know why I decided to bet on that. He's, they turned him into expensive Marvin Mims last night. - Makes no sense that we were in on this guy. - We are so stupid. Just to, just to everyone knows how stupid we are, Jalen Waddle is Craig and I's least favorite player in Fantasy Football. - We invented the Waddle model, which is the idea of a player underperforming their fantasy projections every week because it's Jalen Waddle always, always shows, 12 points, 13 points, and he'll get you seven. - Never hits the projection. - And then Danny Kelly's least favorite coach in the NFL is Sean Payton. And Jalen Waddle, you guys show-- - You gotta say why. - You gotta say why. - 'Cause he doesn't play as good players. - Right. He decides which guy is going to get a bunch of targets in any given game and it's never the one that you're playing in your fantasy against. Not because he thinks it's a smart strategy. It's because he wants you specifically to be upset. He wants to fucking piss you off. That's why he does it. - Are least favorite and most disappointing player of fantasy united with the coach we hate 'cause they don't play their good players. And instead of being like this is the biggest player to avoid this year, we're like, yeah, no, no, no. - Let's take them, just take them, it's fine. - I kept him in one of my leagues. - What the fuck are we doing? - I hit it. I'd like to get granular for a second because this stat just really pissed me off. I wanted to look at how many routes he ran and what his route rate was and how much he was actually playing. It was all fine, it wasn't anything egregious, but he ran around an 82% of team drop-backs. Which you're like, you think it's like, okay, that's not so bad. - 82%. - To be continued. - We were duped. Sean Payton told his wife that his wife should draft Jalen Waddle. And Sean Payton was talking up that Jalen Waddle is gonna play everywhere except the offensive line. And he did. The first two drives, Jalen Waddle's in the backfield, like Jackson Smith, that Jalen Waddle was in the NXT Championship game. They're moving them all over slot, outside motion, everything. It just turns out that instead of, we thought there was some small chance that Jalen Waddle was fast Michael Thomas. And it turns out that he's like expensive Marvin Mims. He's just a clear out receiver who can't catch passes over the middle and won't catch passes in traffic. And cause he had a drop out third down. Sean Payton hates him now. - He ran routes at a percentage this week that was lower than the likes of Ted Hurst, McCuy Lemmon and Trey Tucker. He ran less percent of the routes with the team drops back to pass when a guy is running the route. He ran less routes than Ted Hurst, a rookie on the box, McCuy Lemmon, a rookie on the Eagles and Trey Tucker on the Raiders. - It's just the most dead dove do not eat what were we expecting. - There is something going on in this building in this team. Cause I think it's, we need to say, Sean Payton was not the one calling plays today. We need to say that it was Davis Webb, the new offensive coordinator, who probably won't be the offensive coordinator for very long. - No, somebody have eyes on Davis Webb right now. - I want to say though, like - You're going to find him floating in the lake. - This is correct to your point. - He ran a route on 82% of his snaps. - All the best players. - He was 95. - Like Jamar Chase was 98% of routes. Jamar Chase ran. - He also was the first read target. This is according to fantasy points, which tracks this, the first read target on 14% of his routes. So they went out and traded a first round pick for a veteran established receiver. And then like one out of 10 plays, he gets a look. I sort of got, every time he lined up, I thought they were like punking me. Every time he lined up on the field, they would immediately drop back and look the opposite direction. I thought it was like, it was a bit. - He wasn't involved. - He wasn't even going to look in his direction. - It's a second straight game, cause the Bill's Broncos game too, or I guess the one with Bonit's second straight game. The first three plays were scripted for Pat Bryant, who they like mostly cause he blocks really hard. And the whole thing's annoying. But the Broncos, I mean, they were obliterated and they deserved it. At 31 to 10, I mean, I truly, we need like a, we're gonna have to do like an autopsy here to figure out how we didn't, how we ended up being excited about Jalen Waddle. - I just can't believe, I can't believe it now in week two. I have to seriously decide if I should start, Jalen Waddle or Devon Veile. - Literally all, this is what I say. - Do you wanna see? - I can't believe it's on our body. I, the other, do you wanna hear, do you wanna hear some other players that had around his first read target, right? - Yeah, I would love to, actually. - Johan Dotson, I don't even remember what team he's on. Is he on the Falcon? - He's on the Falcon. - Johan Dotson, Malachi Fields in his first game in the NFL. - Yep. - Antonio Williams in his first game in the NFL, who also by the way played like 20% of the snaps for the offense and still had the first target. - Have like 60 yards in a touchdown. - Yeah, 80 Mitchell, who never generates targets ever, we should have expected that. And then Ryan Flornoi, who I, again, I don't remember what team he's on. - He's on Dallas, yeah. - Okay. That was what the Broncos after an entire offseason of planning decided to do it this guy, who they traded a first round pick for. That was the strategy. That was very, they did that on purpose. - I think we need to get Sean Payton's wife on the show. Yeah, she's one of the, maybe she's one of the seven. I think she's gonna drive me insane. It's important to note that sometimes a player has an outsized impact on the game than the box score reflects. Jailad Waddle was worse than the box score reflects because he dropped the third and seventh, that honestly would have completely changed the game. Well, 'cause then immediately he like, forgot what the ball looked like. He forgot what it felt like to get a target. He was scared. But overall though, the chiefs came back. The other thing that I thought made me feel really stupid. So the chiefs come back. It's obviously Patrick Bohom's his first game back from the torn ACL as like 287 games or whatever. Ken Walker's first game after winning Super Bowl MVP. First drive, Patrick Bohom's immediately just runs in like a 23 yard touchdown. And just like Barrel's in, does a Josh Allen S touchdown immediately runs it in. And I'm sitting there and I'm like, did we take six months and we decided to rank 15 players ahead of Patrick Bohom's? Were we in like a few state? What was happening? I'm like, we just doubted the greatest quarterback of our generation. The only time you will ever be able to buy the dip on him. I just, that also was up there with Jalen Waddle for me where I'm like, what the fuck were we thinking with doubting my homes? Ringer 107. Everybody, six of the seven people in the contest bet against Patrick Bohom's a Monday night football, which is also should call all of our sanity into question. - I've made a huge mistake. - Offseason Brain is a disease. It actually is a fucking disease. - It really is. Like, literally, we would have been so much better if we just had all of our work reviewed by someone who had not watched or heard a second of football content since February ended. And be like, my home's next to Jared Goff, huh? - At home. - Yeah. My home's first to Broncos. But the Broncos, Ken Walker obviously looked amazing. Ken Walker completely changed the cheese on it. - Yeah, this is a palette cleanser. This was the only reason I wasn't crashing out quite as hard as Craig last night is because I was just in a euphoric state watching a team give an extremely talented running back a lot of touches. Like, can you imagine the golf, the fucking just hubris and giving a good player the football a lot? Like, what the fuck are these guys doing? - Ken Walker, 23 carries. Fucking career high, 173 yards of two touchdowns. - Ken Walker. - Can you imagine? - In his first three quarters then he did the entire Super Bowl when he was super one VP. - This was just so validating. 'Cause I've been like an annoying idiot about Ken Walker for the past like four years and granted like he has been injured a few times during his career, but like for the most part it was just the sea ox were unwilling to give him a big workload and then we saw immediately what would happen if a team was willing to do it. 23 touches, or sorry, 23 carries. He also added three catches and a touchdown. The best part was, and I love this, and I said this to you guys at the time. I was like, I don't think the sea ox really ever had a chance of keeping him because he just wanted to leave because every time he would get even sniff the end zone, the sea ox would take him out and put him on a sideline and put Ken Sharbinay in, or what's his name, what's his name? - Zach Sharbinay. - Yeah. - One of the greatest great original takes was that Ken Walker and Zach Sharbinay should switch names 'cause it benefits their playing styles. - But in this game, Emmett Johnson got tackled out like the five yard line and they put Kenneth Walker in and he scored a touchdown. Can you imagine? I can't even believe it. - Ken Walker, it was so amazing to watch this game. - Ken Walker was actually an example of when offseason analysis is exactly correct, which was the Chiefs had the lowest explosive run rate in the NFL the last two years. And also the stat to blew my mind is the Chiefs had, we're dead last in just running back, scoring touchdowns from outside the red zone. Like last over the last couple seasons. And Ken Walker is there to be a home run hitter and like create shit that isn't there. And he comes in and he immediately does that over and over and over again he has. - Yes. - There was so many times. - Six turns touchdown. - Yeah, there were so many times where the Kairan was like, first time since 2017 that the Chiefs had XYZ or whatever it was like all these, you know, Kareem Hunt stats from his rookie year, which is what we said. - His day view in week one, which we kept referencing. And this game was exactly like that game. - Ken Walker, 16 broken tackles in this game. You guys. - So that's the first most tackles per attempt. Miss, sorry. Miss tackles force per attempt. He also had 88 yards on explosive runs, which was most in the NFL this week. Obviously, the only thing that I'm worried about is him getting hurt. But like you could say that about any of the running backs in the NFL. I just love the fact that they're willing to use him as their workhorse as the guy that's gonna be the engine to their offense. - So the stack you just, how many missed tackles did you say Denver had? - According to fantasy points, he had 16 missed tackles forced in this game. - So missed tack, which is twice as many as anyone else. - We'll get to bonics in a second. But I do want to do my home. I mean, my home was looked way faster than I think I thought it wasn't perfect. I mean, an undrafted left tackle at free agent, or sorry, undrafted free agent at left tackle, which I thought would be a huge issue. And shockingly, it was not. The Broncos defensive line was really, I don't want to say a non-factor, but it kind of a non-factor versus the chiefs. - Well, how do you neutralize a pass rush? - Great running game. And the chiefs defensive line really couldn't, it kind of had their way, but the Broncos offensive line. And they were getting to bonics easily. So frankly, the Broncos looked soft and unprepared. They could not block, they could not get off blocks, and they could not tackle. That's like the kind of stuff that old school coaches, like Sean Payton, like that is a physicality issue. And they don't know their assignments, and they're not playing fast, they're not playing locked in. Like there are times Rashee Rice is touchdowned. - Yeah, he didn't even extend his arms to tackle. And he just ran into his shoulder and him and Rashee Rice bounced off of him. - It was like a Rashee, I mean, this is a morbid, but he did a hit and run. Rashee Rice just barrelled into that guy, knocked over the linebacker and ran into the end zone. I'm like, he's running into you. They could, the amount of missed Ken Walker breaks that 60 yard run for the touchdown. 40 yards down. One of the Broncos cornerbacks catches it. - All right, yeah, yeah. - And then he's like, you know when the running backs on the sideline and the guy hits him out and you're always kind of like, oh, do something. But you kind of, there's nothing you can do to not be knocked over one foot and step out of bounds. This guy couldn't knock, he got two ends on him and did it not Ken Walker at a bounce. There is like, the trend is the entire game. The Broncos had no physicality. And then on top of it all, it was like the worst game of seeing Boanex play in the NFL. - I thought Ken Walker looked like, say one Barclay. - He's got that kind of bow-legged gate that Barclay has, you know, with like where his legs are always just, he's always kind of at the ready to make a cut. - Yeah, it's like, he's like skiing through mountains through like the defenders. He looks, he looked fucking unbelievable and it finally looked like the chiefs. Like I don't, it's not like a one-to-one saying that like they now have their Tyree kill again, but it is nice that the chiefs now have a player that Patrick Mahomes can rely on to get explosive plays without involving Patrick Mahomes. It already seems like this offense is just so different. I thought even Emma Johnson, their backup running back look really explosive as well. But they look like a completely different team already and they're like, they're thin at wide receiver. Like you have worthy who's, I think kind of what he is, you ever see Rice who's solid and old Travis Kelsey and that's kind of it. But this running game and the way that Ken Walker's playing, dude, he was like, it wasn't like a couple big runs. Like he was just rattling off chunk play after chunk play. It looked like Sequan two years ago. - It was unbelievable. Yeah, and again, the Sequan two years ago is what happens when a really great talented running back is getting to the second level and getting is able to make people miss four yards downfield and not in the backfield. Like Real Sequan Barkley was. I completely agree. And also, I mean, the Broncos defense is supposed to be the strength of the team. Look terrific. I, Ken Walker, we had high for all these reasons. But I mean, the Broncos defense last year was top five in D.V.O.A. - And the year ago that Chiefs Chargers game, my home is even from week one on. He was having to get the buckets. Like he was when they needed a play. He usually saves running for the December in the playoffs. And he had to do it starting week one last year. And now it's like he doesn't need to do that. And so it was money well spent. The flip side is Bonyx. I really, usually when team comes out as flat as Denver did in all three phases, you're like, that has to be coaching. Like, like, but Bonyx is lack of pocket awareness. The amount of players that were just getting close to him and just knocking the ball out of his hand is like a level of spatial awareness for a third year quarterback that I found really concerning. And then when he did get the ball in the right spot, it's like Jalen Wallace dropping it because he sees a guy about to clock him. Bonyx pre-step was like getting delays of game on third and two. Like all these like pivotal moments, pre-step, post-snap, all the decision making was off. And then during the play, I just, it was really concerning how unaware it was of what was going on around him. - Yeah, Web is going to get the hook quickly. - Oh yeah. - I feel like, yeah. 'Cause that was a, it was just discombobulated on offense the whole game. - This is kind of a version of coping with week one of a reaction. So exactly. - Yes, exactly. - I'm sure people are listening right now being like, can you settle down? The Broncos are gonna be fine. None of these teams barely, the barely players, barely play like real game level snaps in August. And they're just like getting into the swing of things. They have a new play collar like, it'll be fine. There's a very likely chance that like, Waddle will be fine. However, this sucks right now. - Yeah. (laughs) - Totally. - I get it. If everyone's thinking like, dude, it's week one relaxed, totally fair, totally true. The Broncos look terrible and maybe in a month it'll be fine and they didn't play a lot in the pre-season. Every team, you could make that argument for it. Still not a great sign. Some offenses did look good this week. And it's, I agree with whoever you're saying about Denver, but the inspiration for this episode was watching that Jalen Waddle thing and being like, why did we take him? And that is gonna be the point of this power ranking. It's we're power ranking things that we just instantly regretted after one week of football that made us instantly just be like, we're so stupid. And I, I think you'll-- with Jalen Waddle was the right place to start, 'cause he has, it says, one catch for two yards, but the way the box scores work, I just, I was like, oh, that's weird, the targets must be after the catches, that's weird. Oh, no, that's yardage, that's really concerning. So, I hate him. And I actually, two yards is incredible. It's remarkable. If they don't have a higher than 14% first re-target rate, next week, I don't know what I'm gonna do. I honestly don't know what I'm gonna do. I might blow a gasket. Why trade for a guy? I don't understand. I feel also feel really stupid that in our ringer fantasy league, I took Chase Brown one pick before Ken Walker, and I feel like a clown. Yeah, I also, I'll be fine though. Just, I, yeah. Well, we're gonna do this power hour style. We're gonna come back to that in a second, Greg. Power hour style, those who don't know, here's the way it works. We are gonna rank all these things that we really regret after a single week of football. And we're gonna put three minutes on the clock, and every three minutes you're gonna hear this sound, which is no longer Tom Tom Club. (upbeat music) Okay. Do we like it, are we locking this sound in for the season? I think, look, we tested out three last week. We selected this one. We'll test this one out exclusively today. And if we don't like it, we can move on. But, we don't have to get married to the damn song. No. Right, yeah. It's a great song. It's a great copyright free song. Yeah, such a good song. Number one, well, really number three on these power rankings after Jalen Waddle, believing in Jalen Waddle was stupid and ranking Patrick Mahomes is a backup quarterback who's stupid. Number three, and things we instantly regretted, Craig, you texted me, believing in the chargers was something you instantly regretted. This is the definition of insanity. It's doing the same thing over and over and expecting a different result. Yeah. Hi, if it's you said something last week, I mean, if it was a Sunday night, and it was the first time I was like, oh, I think you might be right. When you were like, yeah, I just took a step back. I was hanging out at the Justin Herbert fan club bar. And I just like took, I just kind of like step back a little bit. I just like everyone was at the bar and I just kind of, I'm still a state in the restaurant. I'm still inside, but I just took a step back. I'm closer to the door. I'm ready to Irish exit. I checked my watch, you know? And you y'all, a calculated y'all and eye contact with your partner. It is getting late, isn't it? I don't know, man. I look very likely it's week one, Mike McDingo, complicated offense. It's going to take a minute, but I'm nervous. And I feel, I feel stupid that I once again talked to myself into everything working on a team that's never worked. I feel like I've almost like disassociated with the chargers a little bit where I'm just like, I'm going to do this every year. I don't care. Like, it is what it is. I have no control over this. When I, I'm just going to keep doing it. It's like drinking. You're like, I don't, whatever. I was like, you're not demon in the department. Yeah. Yeah. Craig's a Craig. Why do you do this to yourself? You feel like shit every Sunday morning. I'm like, I'm just going to keep doing it. But it's when I started as a ringer. I think my first year, it was a big pitch meeting. And like Robert Mays was there. Kevin Clark was there. All the ringer writers were there. And I went last because I was like basically an intern. And I pitched like, this is the year for the chargers. And Mays looked at me and was like, man, so you know, I think someone's pitched this room that for seven years in a row. Three summer child. Yeah. That was 10 years ago. And then five, four years ago, I wrote a story called The Complete History of Chargers Failure, which I actually think is now missing a lot of chargers failure. And then somewhere in 2026, we decided with them having this really hard schedule. And again, all these players coming off injury, I mean, they're all rehabbing that we were like, yeah, no, this is the one. And I just, I feel like a moron. And also to your point, I took a mayor, like a mayor in Hampton. I was like, man, we talked so much about the chargers in the ringer league. I feel like I have to put my money where my mouth is. Even though the rankings were off, I was like, I just think I should have a mayor in Hampton in this league. And I was like, I feel like I've said so much shit about the chargers. I put my money where my mouth is. And I regret it. My money and my mouth and my money are really hurting. Wow, what time is quite the line? My mouth and my money are really hurting. Yeah, I should just fucking to Ken Walker. Like we said, we should I did. We said she just take the good veterans. But I got to tell you, it feels phenomenal. I have for getting Henry and Walker and you did that despite me. Yeah, yeah, it was awesome. I don't regret that. Okay, here's the next one. We've talked about this a little bit, but I think it must be stated once more for the record. And we have to dive into this. It was ridiculous that we believed or even entertained to the idea that flying to Australia the day before a game was like in any way a good idea. Or like there was some kind of science behind it. I don't I don't care about the science. This is stupid. These people are going to be tired after flying 15 hours in an airplane. We heard that that's my credit. Yeah, yeah. Can I expand a little bit to like the Rams in general? In the ringer league, where I'm in dead last, I, um, I drafted Devonte Adams. And let me tell you something. The instant regret I felt when he was just kind of an afterthought in this game, where I was like, man, I took the guy who's going to be 34 this year. Who had 700 yards last year and 14 touchdowns. And I just kind of expected that to happen again. And it didn't week one. And now I'm like, well, all right. Well, let's hope this works because if this guy doesn't, if this guy doesn't massively defy regression, I'm fucked. Yeah, it's like, oh, well, he only had 700 yards, but he had like 14 touchdowns. And you're like, and then he doesn't score touchdown. You're like, oh, shit. Wow, I kind of need those 40 yards every week to have a touchdown next to it. Don't I? What can I, I feel like if we've ranked next year's rankings in like week six, we'd nail it. We should just your next summer's rankings now. That's I think we should. I really do feel like we should invent the, it's the week two fantasy. Like it starts in week two, maybe you know, you know, you know how, you know, Jeopardy has a category that's just like stupid answers. And it's like an extremely obvious answer or question or whatever. However, they form the, the question. Basically, like, what kind of fruit does a coconut tree have? And it's like, what is the coconut? Yeah. And this, this country, yeah, they have from mustard seeds. They really do do that. And all the answers are really obvious. That's an L bit. This comes from mustard seeds. The answer was mustard mustard comes from mustard seeds. The answer to the question of which team is going to look more hung over or jet lag after flying there the day before. It was, it was the Rams guys. It was obviously the Rams. Can I tell you a stat? I already said this before, but Matt Stafford in the first half of all the games last week, dead lasted success rate. This is the MVP of the NFL below Cooper rush below to Sean Watson. Dude, I, and on that note, can I give you a stat that we didn't discuss? And I cannot let the show keep going with it, never mentioning this. Did you see that Raheem Morris, the defensive coordinator for the Rams, did not have a 50th birthday? The Niners his bird, oh, sorry. Yeah, the Niners. I apologize too late. Shit. It was like a leap. Was it like a leapier thing? No, it was a leap day thing. They were on the Wednesday before the game. They flew on Tuesday, landed Thursday. So Raheem Morris never turned 50 years old. That's his new. Hell yeah. So he's 49. But like, I, but yeah, anyway, I just, um, I, I can't believe we just actually debated which of the strategies was better. I think the, the point we're bringing up here right now too is just like it affected everybody. Stafford sucked. He was actually quite literally dead last among all starting 32 quarterbacks in fantasy points in week one. Did not expect that from the league MVP, uh, Devonte Adams, three catches for 26 yards. After last year being the goal line back for the Rams, he was in on 16% of the goal to go snaps for the Rams. They just took him off the field. They decided he, they don't, they no longer need his services in that area. Pukinakua had his worst game since the start of last season. And the, the only game that was worse last year was one in which he got hurt. So it affected everybody. Kyron Williams salvaged it, but he only had 11 carries for 41 yards. I just came up with a hot take on the Rams that is so hot that I'm going to write it down because it's not even ready right now, but it's like a borderline purge. Write that down. I actually, we've disrespected royalty free Tom Tom enough. Sure. We did. Hi, if it does, hi, if it does up next, but it's not great. But the host is writing something down. Yeah, I, I, I, I just thought of something. The Wranger fantasy football show is brought to you by Fandall. Welcome to your most rewarding season ever. Club exclusive offers, surprises and more looking at week two on I see the Cleveland Browns are at Tampa Bay and the bucks are favored by eight and a half points. Even though last week, the Jags were favored by eight and a half of the Browns and one by like 90. And so I'm just, I know the bucks turned the ball over a bunch, but I kind of just don't think the bucks. are gonna do that again. And I think bookeneers are actually just gonna blow out the Browns into Sean Watson, exactly like the Jaguars did. So I'm gonna take the bucks, give you eight and a half, which is a lot, but I just, you don't know how many times left in your life, you'll be able to bet against the Sean Watson. Like, you know, life is short, like get it and like him. So every week, check the Fandall app to see what's waiting for you, make this your most rewarding season ever with Fandall. My next instant immediate regret after week one, I cannot tell you how stupid I felt, watching Josh Allen and remembering I told people not to take Josh Allen this year. And just being like, I spent six months being like, wait on quarterback. Like, you know, who needs all these elite, amazing to watch quarterbacks? Like Josh Allen, Lamar Jackson. You know, you should take Kyler Murray, who got hurt on the, who threw a pick on his first play and then like left with the concussion and his left back. I was gonna say, it wasn't even the injury. First play in the game, he chucks up some dots. He gets picked and I was like, oh, shit. Like, I was like, this is terrible. I just, I, what's the succession lines? Like, oh, your guns turned to sausages. I was like, fuck, I talked about this guy for a month. And then Josh Allen is going into the Texans defense and just destroying them. Bill and Sal have a good thing that two rushing touchdowns and two passing touchdowns by a quarterback should just be called to Josh Allen. They're right. Josh Allen had a Josh Allen on the Houston Texans. And I'm sitting there and I'm like, where the fuck did we rank George Pickens over Josh Allen? - Just, you have every offseason I'm telling you guys, listeners at home, ignore everything we, it's like Odysseus just ignore everything new here. - The wax in the ears. - Yes, just take the best two court, take Lamar Jackson and Josh Allen whenever you want. We were, take him in the first fucking round. I don't care. Don't listen to anything anybody says. If they ever say quarterbacks deep this year, they're wrong. Just take Josh Allen. - We have to do the tattoo thing right this year because the reality is we say, we actually are right. Like the tattoos, we're like, take cool players, rounds early, stop overwearing about you. And then we kind of like, at the end capitulate and make our rankings like mathematically sound and we forget shit like, what like, like it is, it was correct according to the market to rank, rank, Drake London, ahead of Josh Allen. And then you watch week one and Drake London at 29 yards. And I'm like, why the fuck did we rank this guy ahead of Josh Allen? That was insane. - Yeah. - When I was in Toronto, I was talking to Matt Bellany about his fantasy team. And every year he keeps Josh Allen for like an absurd amount of money. And he like is an extremely casual fantasy football player. We're walking out of the hotel to go somewhere. He looks down on his phone. He's like, oh, I won. I scored the most points in the league this week. And he's like, Josh Allen, man. I saw you at like 40 points. That's great. He's like, stars are all that matter. The rest is interchangeable. I was like, cut out of this. - If I zoom out, if you zoom out at the highest level, it's like, why did you not take Josh Allen this year? I was like, yeah, cause I'm smart. And I thought about it. - Fuck it. - We spent six months thinking about football and we're like, don't take Josh Allen. - I just love the best player in the league. - So casually, he's like, stars are all that matters. The rest are interchangeable. I was like, fuck. - Fuck, what are we doing? - I got it. - We're so close. (upbeat music) - My next instant regret. And look, fill it out for your fans. - I understand. If you're upset about what I'm about to say, that's totally fine. You won the game, you beat the commanders and you're one and oh. But like taking sake on, really paying up for sake on and having high expectations for any relevant player on the Eagles is stupid to me. And I don't know why I did it. And I'm upset with myself. Because while they won and there was big splash plays, and if you watch the highlights of the Eagles, you'll see a deep ball de wicks. You'll see two great passes to Dallas Goddard, who scored, you'll see Hertz with like three really good runs. If you remove that, this game was really messy. The Eagles had 10 first downs in this game, which was second worst in the NFL. The Broncos were dead last with nine, and then it was the Eagles with 10. Kim Ward, Malik Willis, Dishon Watson, all had more first downs than the Eagles offense. Safe one, Berkeley had 83 yards rushing. He had eight fantasy points. 78 of those 83 yards came after contact. And he was hit behind the line described seven of his 15 carries. He had one catch for negative three yards. He had the fifth worst yards before contact per rush in the league this week. And I'm just like, Lyndon Dickerson just went out, he's on IR. And I'm like, this offense, once again, looks like stagnate Eagles bullshit. I don't know why I'm back in on it. - I, Craig, I feel your pain. - Does this name Safe one, Berkeley? - Defonte Smith didn't do anything. - Honestly, my indictment of the Eagles, this week they reminded me of the Giants. And what I mean by that is it reminded me of Safe one, Berkeley on the Giants, which is when Safe one has good blocking, one of the best rushers of all time. - And still looks great. He had a 40 yard run, which is like the only reason why he stats for Dishon. He looked awesome. He still looks good. - And he's more disciplined now, frankly, going north south that he used to be, which I'm cutting all this stuff. But the Eagles offense of line, it's borderline not special anymore. It used to be the best offensive line in years. And then the truth is, Landon Dickerson is actually one of those players who plays when he's hurt. And Landon Dickerson's not been healthy since week one of last year. Like Jeff Stoutland, who is the run game guru Yoda that retired, or was basically like, I'm sick of dealing with Seriani and retired. Went on, the Kelsey podcast, he said Landon Dickerson was the toughest player he coached in 40 years. People have no idea what Landon Dickerson goes through. He, I think he got hurt for the Cowboys last year. He hasn't been the same. Plays this game, tussed it out. And it's like, I need to go to injury reserve. I'm not good enough. But the Eagles don't have the half. Lane Johnson, this is probably his last season. And then Jason Kelsey's not there. And suddenly you're like, this is just a mediocre line. And now the Jalen Hertz offense looks fucked up. And I'm not trying to be mean to the guy, but it's the same thing as it always is. Which is, they're just, they're a python strangling people. It's like a livestream of a python strangling something to death. And you watch it for three hours every week. And you're like, God. And there's four plays that look cool, right? Like the Devante Smith sideline stuff is cool. But like Jalen Hertz has four cool throws and everything else is like watching the life squeeze out of you. And dude, man, what a great royalty-free to amazing song. Did you know that the Eagles last year had a worse three-in-out rate, a higher three-in-out rate than the Jets? They were lasting lower than the Titans with Cam Ward. And Brian Callan getting fired. Well, it's about the same as the Titans. I'm just looking at the stat right now. This year so far, they are second to last. Like Craig said, like Craig said. DeShawn Malikwell's Cam Ward all had more first downs. And I will say before we move on really quick, St. Juan got interviewed after the game about the offense's performance. And he was really candid. He was like, he said, quote, look, we won the game. We have to be happy that we won. But he said, quote, there's stuff we got away with. And we have to be honest with ourselves. And that's what St. Juan said after week one. Week one. And like, here's an Eagles fan, some Eagles fans know that we're talking about. Some Eagles fans are mad. And here's my honest counter if you're like, well, they keep winning. Because winning is the point. And that is still the point. It's not fantasy points. It's winning the game. Look at the Chiefs and Eagles who played each other in two Super Bowls. And I think are fair comparisons. Even the year that Eagles won the Super Bowl. Through 10 weeks, the Eagles players in H.I. Brown were arguing and freaking out, but what the offense should be in H.I. Brown and Hertz were arguing what the offense should be all that year. But look at the Chiefs and Eagles this off season with Super Bowl caliber rosters, spending what an entire off season looks like to get the running game going to make it easier for their quarterback. And look what Ken Walker and the Chiefs looked like with an off season to prepare. And all the Eagles talked about was getting Saquon back to be the function of the offense. And it looked terrible. And I just, they had a long time to come up with something better and more effective. And they just couldn't, which is like a big red flag. And that was the Chiefs going up against Denver and really going up against the commanders. It's a huge red flag that it couldn't be better. And yeah, Saquon say that we've won's bad. Okay, sorry. T.K. Why don't I take an Eagle? What the fuck is-- Next year, we have to have a blacklist. We have to have a blacklist of teams. And like, we were so close to doing this. No dolphins. No dolphins. Why don't we have Devon HN? Just make certain teams. I don't want to-- Is there some sort of like plug, like a black mirror, some sort of plug-in where you can just like, the guys you just don't even want to consider taking. You can like blur them out. I have a pitch for this. I was going to do it at the end. But I could pitch you guys right now. I have a stat I want to create. Oh, and I was going to say that I think my new strategy is going to literally have a list of 30 players and I can only draft them. I kind of want to move players that-- Well, I'll talk to you guys with a solution for this at the end. But T.K., I want to-- Here's the player that I'm thinking of while we talk about this. It's Jane Reed. I don't know why I took him again this year after being completely frustrated about him last year. The same thing that happened last year is happening this year. Guess what? Jane Reed, the wide receiver 71 this week. Sorry, the wide receiver. Yeah, so he was the wide receiver 71 last year. Guess what he was this week? The wide receiver 75. I don't know why I did this to myself. I don't know why I thought anything would be different. He only plays in three receivers sets. He does not play in two receivers sets. And guess what? He doesn't even play in all the three receivers sets. He was kind of like-- he was in most of them, but he was kind of rotating in and out. And now the Packer's offense just might be a lot worse than it was last year because their offensive line is an absolute disaster and they can't really run the ball. Yeah, and they can't really run the ball. He had three catches for 20 yards played 50% percent of the staps. I don't know why I do this to myself. It's like a it's like a weird sort of tick where I'm like, oh, I see that name. I somehow in my brain recognize that I think he's a good player and therefore I'll take him even though all the variables point to him being a part time player and never going to be reliable at all. You guys ever have this thing where I was talking to skippy about this the other day. There's times where in my life where I'm like planning travel and I just like book a connection or like a train connection or something. And there's no physical possible way I could actually make that connection and I did it anyway and I looked at it 18 times in the process of doing it and then I get on the plane. I'm like, Oh, my train leaves an hour before we land. Like I don't why did I think we were going to why did I think I was going to work. And then I had to like I literally had this happen or I had to like book a different flight on the flight because I was like, I don't why how is that going to work in any world. That was that's how I feel after drafting Jane Reed this year. I'm like, I hated watching this offense. I was out on the packers all last year because the way they rotate very much like the Broncos. And they get rid of a couple receivers and I think something's going to change with Jane Reed and it's exactly the same. It's three catches for 20 hours. It's all the rotational stuff. Whenever we try to assume that playing time is going to significantly change, we're usually wrong. Like with it's like the same like Kyron Williams, Blake Corm, it's like, Blake Corm's not going to be the lead guy on the fucking ramps. All right. He's not I don't think it's not the rotational. No, it's Jake. I don't think that's it because we the packers. I think it's what we thought it would be, which is Matthew Golden, Christian Watson playing two receiver sets. And then Jane reads the slot receiver. I think the mistake we made with Green Bay and I was so I kind of I can't believe I didn't end up saying this in the take purge, but I think I decided it was too obvious for the take purge. There are four teams every year where the offensive lines are bad enough that like the running game is irrelevant for fantasy and there is like an uphill climb to be good. Packers offensive lines bad and the Packers offensive line just lost a lot of depth and isn't that good, frankly, and they couldn't block in this game versus Minnesota. And there was bad coaching. I mean, they took a field goal off the thing and then didn't get a touchdown, which I think Packers fans are going to be mad about all year. And but the offensive lines bad. And like, I'm realizing the whole God is nice royalty for music. Basically that Josh Jacob suspension like, oh, who's in the back for the more shown Lloyd Chris Brooks, all of them are bad and they're going to be irrelevant. Like the Packers are not going to have a running game and Jordan level that a running game is going to be tough to watch. And that was not that hard to see coming. We kind of talked about it in March. And then I guess we just fucking forgot to be lower than everybody else. And I hate myself. I hate myself. Christian Watson was sick though. We were right about that. Christian Watson was awesome. They look awesome for like a quarter and a half. My maybe my biggest regret after week one is ranking Kyle pits in Marvin Harrison Jr. When I promised myself I wouldn't put them on the list. This is just a principle thing. We should just refuse to do it. This is perhaps our greatest faux pas this off season is not a lot is allowing anyone to draft Marvin Harrison Jr. or Kyle. At the end of last year, I vowed that we wouldn't I would not rank them because there is no world. I want them on my team because this is about fun and having enjoyment in your life. And Kyle pits in Marvin Harrison Jr. are fun and energy vampires because steal my joy. Here's the things. If you're thinking, okay, well, what if they were great values? What have you got them for a dollar? You got them in the 13th round? It doesn't matter because that's the jade read argument because once they're on your roster, it doesn't say next to them what round you you drafted. They're just sitting there and they're projected 11 points and you're like, well, I guess I'm going to start this guy and they kill you. I'm going to leave my ice cray friends. Sorry real quick Craig said that he's only going to rank 30 play. Maybe we just rank 30 players next year. Take one of these. Take one of these. I'm going to bring your old team up like 35 players every and I'm like, I can only feel like people on this list. Yeah, I think we would do better. I swear to God. Like I just that maybe that should be the new turnkey is just like can this guy be in your team? I don't care. Jalen Waddle is going for $15 cheaper than he should and then somebody else takes him and everybody goes, wow, that's great value. I don't care. And also to be clear, first of all, I didn't say Kyle pits and Marvin Harrison junior combined have won catch for 33 yards. And Marvin mind Kendrick born who just showed up in Arizona at 31 years old, just cranked out. I made a mistake this year. I'm in too many leagues now and I made the mistake of I ended up with Marvin Harrison junior in a league because he fell and fell and fell. Did you start him and I was like, what if he and I took him and I'm like, now I'm fucked. I don't want to play him. No, that's the point. I didn't want to play him because I hate him and he sucked and I'm like, great, I can't cut him. I don't want this. And I'm so I open the team and I'm a city exists there. And it's like there's no world. He would have been good enough to justify how upset I am because he's if he's bad. And like that is the thing we forget in August. And I just I just it's you know as a former ringer colleague of ours once said, scouting's not about finding players. It's about eliminating players. Like we need to just take guys off our board. It's like real teams do it. It's deduction. Yeah. Real teams take players off their board. We should do it. Yeah, it's like we really need to promote and teach like reaching for Parker Washington is fine. Taking Marvin Harrison junior out of discount, not fine. It's all guide. Yes. Exactly. We should talk like that all the time too. Yeah, not I not fine. Cause for I would say for half of my drafts, like in the ringer league, I was like, I'm I'm reaching for Luther Burton because I want him. I'm reaching for Parker Washington because I want him. And then in other instances, it's like, well, Jalen model sitting there at a reasonable price. So I guess I'll get him. That's the opposite of how I should be thinking you should only do it. The former reach because you want. Don't take because he's cheap. The real answer is that when the the joy of reaching for Luther Burton and being right way outweighs the disappointment of like reaching for Luther Burton being wrong. And similarly, the joy of taking Marvin Harrison and being right sucks. It's great. Decay or crack, crack, who's your next instant regret? We're going to we're going to go all the way back to last Wednesday, but I just drafting AJ Brown. It's just when I when I didn't believe in him last year and I don't know why, why do I have Jalen model and AJ Brown on my teams this year? Why you guys didn't listen to me on the AJ Brown thing got to say, like, and I know it's like, man, well, he looked good on that slant. I agree, he did. But you know what he got hurt and now he's on I are and now they're like, yeah, it's probably actually going to be like six weeks, which means really it's going to be like eight weeks. So he's just out half the year. And I'm like, I don't know why I did this last year. I thought he was bad and hurt and uninterested in playing football and he changed teams and Mill Simmons is talking about how he's Randy Moss and I bought in and I shouldn't have done it. I played scared. I didn't want to miss out. The FOMO got you. Yeah, it did. It did like a fool. I hit you with all the body bliss. You did. And I came and Bill had the haymaker. Yeah. I, um, I'm not going to lie. Can I tell you guys, I mean, it's obviously I talked about AJ Brown up a lot this season. A lot of people listening probably have AJ Brown, because I told you to take him. It actually, I don't know if I could sleep at night if he hadn't had those two good plays, because if he's kind of gotten hurt immediately. And then the idea that he even looked good at all was in question. Like, thank God he did have two moments where like a man. Yeah, he might change this office. Then he got hurt. I actually think it would materially change my day to day assistance. Sometimes I like I just like can't even believe football as a sport exists because I'm like, yeah, like AJ Brown is so talented and good. He caught a couple pat. And then it's just like a guy just kind of fell on his leg. And it's like, well eight weeks, see you later. I'm like, I can't believe this is real. Dominic Foxworth put it well this week where he was like, there's not many jobs in America where you got a group of 50 co workers. And they're like, yeah, man, we're we're not all going to make it to the end of the day. Right. Like we're like, we're just not going to make it like it is crazy. Yeah, any given play like Ladma Conkey takes a hit and you're like, well, he's holding his ribs, seeing a month and it's just real. The injury thing, I, you know, I feel like the IR spot in fantasy. No one's figured it out yet because it's like, it's kind of really nice. It used to be a quirk. And now I think you can put players out and more leagues on IR if you're if they're just out right instead of on IR. Yeah. And I think you guys have more leagues like that. And part of me is like, fuck it. Just give me like 10 spots. Like I just, I don't know the right IR spots. I don't know, but I just the injury thing. It just breaks my heart. But I have a question regarding the Patriots real quick. Are we, are we worried about the Patriots offense after week one, I know they played the Seahawks, but like Drake May. Ramondra versus Trayvon. I guess Ramondra had a pretty good game. Trayvon, you know, Romeo Doves was very bad in that one. I don't know. I don't think they're a Super Bowl contender against the defense as good as Seattle's because they it's shocking how little they change their offense with so much time. Yeah, but there's coaching is still so good that I think that they will be an above average team. Maybe make the playoffs. I do think it's probably a year from hell for them overall. Like I just think they're not I frankly, I think they're an incredibly well coach, but they're not the talented of a roster is the truth. They have a few great, the Drake May is great. Christian Gonzalez is great. Like, but the, I mean, Morgan Moses is the right tackle. He's been around forever. I will say they played Seattle who's awesome. I think their offensive line is better. I think their wide receivers are better. And it's once again, Drake May in the same system, year two in the system. So I would like to believe that it's not going to be a mess. I'm not there are some teams like they will not make the NFC championship game. I would not I would not say that the Patriots and the AFC championship game like there's some teams like like that's not a serious team. The Patriots, the coaching's high level enough. Bit of tough year though. DK, anyone else who's sitting in your crawl? - Yeah, this one's not as emotional as some of the other ones, but it's just more like a head slapper. I'm like, idiot, why didn't I do this? 'Cause we talked about this guy, but not taking the Isaiah likely at the end of every single draft feels like a stupid move. - None of us. I feel like all of us feel widely decided. We were like, oh yeah, the best late round tie-down, we're like staring at guys like Dallas Goddard and we're like, you know, Jake Ferguson's and all these people, Chica Conquo. And we're like, it's gotta be Isaiah likely. We all turned key. Like that's a most upside gotta be him. None of us took him. - I know, and then he goes out and looks amazing. Eight catches on eight targets, two touchdowns. Now we've seen this in the past where he had an incredible week one and then totally fell off. But I think this is a very different situation. I think he is a big part of their offense. He's the fact of number two in their offense, which obviously is really valuable in fantasy. So, and I think he's a really good player. I just don't know why. - I just didn't know it. I was just like, one of those things where I'm like, again, why did I not do that? He was sitting on the, he was sitting there in the draft room right in front of my face so many times and I have him in exactly zero redraftly. - We have the whole conversation where the Giants receiver room is just an old version of the Miami receiver room but with Malik neighbors on top. And it's like under the hood of the injured Malik neighbors which John Harbock kind of like politely bullied him into playing. The Giants, it's Malachi Fields, it's a fourth round who's a third round rookie kind of like Caleb Douglas playing. It's Darnel Mooney who is just, you know, like a fourth receiver at this point and like not a versatile, and then Odell Beckham made the goddamn roster after basically being out of the NFL. He made the team. Like those are the Giants four receivers. They cared for receivers. - They're interviewing Odell before the first game of the year. Like that's the state of the receiver. - The Giants are the only Sunday night football intro. I could ever remember where the intro lineup was 22 personnel. It was a full back, a running back, two tight ends and one receiver on the Sunday night football intro. That's like, that's the Giants receiver room. And we didn't, yeah, I don't know how it is. - He was the number one tight end in fantasy this week I think. - I do have a whole theory on this but I just, the Giants, when you go full back running back to tight ends, you're going such heavy personnel that like in theory, you could match that with four linebackers. - Well, the Cowboys don't have four linebackers. You know what I mean? So they bullied him off the field. So I do think tight ends are going to carve up Dallas this year. But likely it's going to be good for New York whenever, man. - Oh, he looks awesome. - He's great. - He's only 26 years old, fifth year. - He's the man. - He actually checked a lot of boxes for like things that breakout tight ends usually have. Like their characteristics heading into a season. He like checked every box. - We need to be comfortable reversing players sometimes. The thing that actually bothers me is we were with market but we talked about all these underlying things. He should have been flipped with Harold Fanon. I can't believe we ranked Harold Fanon and have I say it likely. We, it's like Drake May last year where we were the highest on Drake May of anybody and we're like the hype is right and it's not actually priced in still. And we're like, we know to show him Watson's bad. All the spreadsheets have no idea that to show him Watson is the Yips. Like it's worse than the out, the 10,000 simulations could even imagine. Like likely needs to be where Fanon is and Fanon needs to be like way, way outside the top 100. And I can't believe we didn't fucking do it. (upbeat music) - Least you can enjoy. Least you can enjoy him on your real team, Hyphids. - That was sick to just beat the Cowboys and I have them suck. - That was cool. - Last one here. I had instant regret watching Ashton Gentie after not taking him because of this fake ass ankle injury and he's totally fine and looks like the best running back in the league. I believed in this guy. All off season thought he was awesome as a player. Didn't pay attention to any of the shit analytics that said he was bad last year. I believed in the coach. I believed in the scheme. I believed in the offensive line upgrades and I didn't touch him with a 10 foot pole in drafts this year because he heard his ankle a month before the season. And I feel like it's cool. - Craig, after the whole ankle injury scare thing, I was in a draft and I accidentally auto picked on one of my things. I was like camping or biking. I can't remember what was happening and I like missed the window. It was like a two hour clock or something slow draft. And I came back and I had drafted him in the second round and I was like, "Oh, fuck." Like, "Oh, that's such bad value. So risky or whatever." And then I just watched him with week one. I'm like, "Hell yeah, this is the best." This is the best feeling ever. Auto draft maybe is the best thing that's ever happened to you. - It's actually, I don't know why we do this sometimes. I, we got points in week one. We got an email from someone named Eric. - E-bone. - Breakfast was left over Sunday's door dash last night from Friendly's Holy shit, Eric. Geez, that's wild. - Wait, what is it? - Left over Sunday from Friendly's. For breakfast. - Like an ice cream Sunday? - Yeah, it's spelled with an E. - Wow, that's sick. - That's awesome. - Wow. Eric says, "I have a dilemma. My wife's auto drafted team, double bread team score in our matchup list." - With that breakfast? - What? - So this guy's married, and he's eating that for breakfast. - He's eating Kevin McAllister breakfast, can you marry? He, Eric literally said, "My wife auto drafted her team and doubled my score this week. She is now offering to manage my other teams for me." (laughing) - Yeah, how do I respond? - I'm not gonna lie, so this is hilarious. The auto draft, to the auto draft point, I am in a league with Skiffy's family, and there's like four people in the league that quite literally never look at their rosters. We've been in this league for over 10 years. I've never once won it. And I'm like, this is the most embarrassing thing. I'm a frickin' professional fantasy football person. I've never even beaten the four people that don't even look at their rosters the entire year. I had to auto draft that one this year, because I think we were doing our live show that literally that night. - And my team is fucking stacked. I kicked ass week one. I think I'm gonna win it this year. - Is there an equivalent where the theoretical experts in an industry have no edge on normal people? Like, is there another type of sector like that? - Oh yeah, that's-- - That's a good question. - You know, we're like-- - Millis at Ring of Fantasy Football Gmail.com. I do have a couple in mind. - Like, where an auto drafting team theoretically has the same chances of you as winning, at winning. - Yeah, I wanna know that. - Okay, can I-- - I mean, you know what it is? It's investing in the stock market. Like, just invested in an ETA, just like an S&P 500. You're gonna do better than like the so-called expert level. - The S&P is just auto drafting. - Yeah. (laughs) - More or less. - Yeah. - It's the wisdom of crowds. - It's just dollar cost average. It's just putting in the S&P. - Right. - So, yeah. - Over a long enough period. - That S&P is just auto drafting is good. I do have a thought I wanna pitch you guys in this. And I think we should actually build it into our rankings next year. I wanna call it vibe. It's value including basic emotions. - Okay, okay. - I like the acronym already. - Basic things like, do I hate this player? Do I hate watching this team? Do I wanna watch this person play football? Josh Allen, vibe. It's like his correct ranking is 28. The vibe of basic emotions of when Josh Allen's Chris 38 points, I feel like I have two cocks. He should be 16th. And Marvin Harrison's ranking unadjusted is like 75th. But when I watch him get one catch from me, I wanna die. So he's gonna be 140th. And we actually should fucking. 'Cause that's the lived experience of playing the stupid game. - I like it. - I like it. - Yeah, let's do it. - vibe is a very modern name for an acronym. It feels like it sounds like a CBD drink, but I do like it. - What is it? - Value including basic emotions. - Okay. - It's good. - We can work with that. - I agree. We should have a secondary ranking. - Yeah. - If you wanna come in third, use our rankings. If you wanna have fun, and maybe still come in third, use the vibe. - We'll just remove all the players that'll potentially piss you off. - Yeah. - If you wanna actually have fun watching football this season, we'll give you different rankings. I think that's what we should fucking do. Oh, okay. Moving on, the last thing I have to, did you guys see that Adam Schaefter posted that when Bonix broke his ankle before the AFC championship, he called Rubri's. - Yeah. - Rubri's. - And then blew my mind. And not only that, so then Drew Breeze then reached out to like the Hall of Fame to make sure that if he played in this game, that it wouldn't delay his ability to get into the Hall of Fame. And they said, no, it's fine. So then he went to a field and practiced and said that his shoulder hurt too much. And he had no velocity throwing like 15 yards, so he eventually said no. He's 47 years old. - Drew Breeze. - I can't believe it got that far, honestly. - Yeah. - Yeah, I just, that makes me think a lot less of Jared's did him. - Right. Yeah, he was, what's his name? Peyton was like talking and stood him up so much. I'm like, you really weren't trying to get it 47 or something. - It's almost like Sean Peyton is not a reliable narrate. - It's almost like he doesn't tell the truth. - Interesting. - Do you think he's, what he probably, what we probably didn't know about Sean Peyton telling his wife to draft Jalen Wattles that Sean Peyton's probably also in that fantasy league and his sandbagging his own wife. And then he probably drafted Pat Bryant. - Yeah, that's a good point. - All right, update on the Ringer fantasy football league. - Yeah. - So I would like to start by saying that. - How are things going? - They're good. Everything good? - Yeah, how'd you do Craig? - Everything good in that league. Bangkok Craig is in the trenches. - You were, oh and one, you're last in the league in points. - Bangkok Craig is down in the muck right now. Clowing his way out. I will rise, don't you worry. I'm not worried. I'm not worried at all. You look a little worried. Now, this is like, we're right back to the last year. Hyphids that I are in first and second. - I think this literally-- - Yeah, I got this first. No one talks about the fantasy regular season. Deacon, I ran the table. We were just-- - Yeah, we were the top one in the series of the playoffs. - Yeah, look, we had a couple of bumps and bruises along the way. It made a bad start. Some tough match-ups for the squad, Drake Meg and Seattle. We'll be all right. But yeah, I just, you know, I wanted to even things out. I didn't want everybody to get super mad. And it's like, "Whoa, all three of the Danes "and Craig or top three in the league is cheating." So you're welcome. - I will say, real quick. Hyphids is, he had the second highest, or I don't know what score you didn't get the second highest score, but you're in second now. How many points did Bryce Young get you after all that effort? - Oh, yeah. Thanks for asking, DK. He was the third best quarterback in fantasy football. - I've been with him for a while. After you literally, everyone blocked him out of it. - Yeah. - To fuck me over and take, well, how many quarterbacks were taken between like the 10th and 11th rounds combined? Like 18? - Yeah, yeah. - I took two of them. I got Bryce Young and I beat everyone except Josh and Caleb. - Like this is another, this is a perfect example of fantasy football. We literally tried to steal 27 quarterbacks from you. And you were like, "Fine, I'll just take whichever one's left "and you were second in the league." - You progression points hit Bryce Young. - Yeah, he beat every quarterback except Josh out on the Caleb Williams. - Like your team, Jaylin, you had Jaylin model on your lineup. Your defense got you one point and you're still second in the league in points because you're Bryce Young. - Goddamn right. - Can I point out of a quick fact here? We've been reveling it for a minute. I scored 183 points. The next closest team, Hifit scored 129. - Yeah, yeah, yeah. - Nobody killed. - Yeah, Hifit's much closer. - Turns out taking Derek getting 30 plus points from Derek Henry, Kenneth Walker and DeAndre Swift. It feels really good. - Derek Henry is an example of what he's supposed to do, which is decide on something at the end of the season and just not fucking change our minds, which was Derek Henry still got it. Don't let anyone like build the aging into his rank. - I took him in the first round. - Unnamed sights at him 30th. And I'm like, I just, that's, yeah. - I got an F for my draft, by the way, 183 points. - Wait, I have a question. How did Bill and Dave took kickers in the eighth round? How'd they do? - Dave Chang and Bill, just taking Cam Little and Brandon Aubrey in round eight. How'd they do? - Bill's in 10th, I believe Dave is in 11th. - Oh, yeah. - Dead last with Craig, okay. - Well. - Be Bill by 80. - Hifit, you're closer to last and points than you are first, so settle down. - I just mad at you too for not backing me up when they were taking kickers. And I was the only one who was like, that's a really stupid idea. And then you guys, you guys weren't there with me. I'm not gonna lie. - That's all right. We kind of threw you to the wolves a little bit in the early, in the early part of the, the draft as well. - I'm like in a dark alley screaming at Dave Chang about a kicker and he's like, "Well, there are a lot of points that have turned around." And I'm like, I'm the only one. I'm like, okay. - I'm like, I added Kairos Santos 24 hours before week one. And he got me 12 points. - If your opponents are making mistakes, don't interrupt them, all right? Sun's zoo. - Yeah, well, he already did it. - Well, then Bill did it right after that. - Yeah. We were hoping for a run on him. - Sure. Okay. It's time for an important segment. It's time for fantasy court. - Ooh. - Definitely don't tell anyone about this thing that you're doing. - I don't really want to be handcuffed. - The definition of an object is a material thing that can be seen and touched. - The music is so dramatic. - It's a lot. - One of these days we're going to add the Craig saying, "Night to me is when it's dark." - To me? - Night to me? - To me? - Is when it's dark. It's a good point. How can you just beat that? - It's about the life. Fantasy court. This one's from Rachel. - Rachel Arboh. - Rachel's the plaintiff. Breakfast is a banana with peanut butter, cherry, chia seed, yogurt, and a coffee with pumpkin pie creamer. - Wow, okay. It sounds good. - Rachel says, "I am one of the seven." It's a fantasy court case. - All hail. - Rachel says, "I am in a league with my fiance." And this week I played the commissioner of the league in our matchup. And the commissioner is officiating our wedding. Later this year. - Oh, okay. - We have a ton of weird rules in this league, including defensive, individual defensive players, a lot of backers and stuff. Yeah, and they get bonus points. And apparently, there's now points for pun and kick returns. And a kick return yard is a tenth of a point. So kick return yard's like a rushing yard. - Okay, so the returners are worth a lot. - Yeah. - So a return from the one to the 15 yard line, which is a bad return. You did a bad job. - You shouldn't have done it. - You shouldn't have done it in a half points. So Rachel is saying this really juices players like Rashid Shaheed who are good returners. - Yeah, yeah. - So the league voted all these scoring changes via what seems like a scatter shot survey in the league chat. Rachel says probably 10 surveys with like three to four options were all posted within like an hour or two. - I can't even keep up with my like, really important work email. Having to keep up with a bunch of lists. - I'm telling you, if you are the commissioner of the league, it should be a full-fledged dictatorship. It should be an authoritarian regime. - No votes on anything. - No votes. It never works. Just fucking pick one. - It's why I love these. It is why I love these because it is the smallest version of a government. - In a sense, you should fall. - It really is. - Smallest version of a government. - And I'm learning. - I'd be like, it doesn't work. - Yeah. Democracy doesn't work. - We tried democracy. - No. - On the way out. - Yeah. - It had a good run. So, Rachel writes, our commissioner did not adjust the league settings to reflect the return rule. - Oh, no. - So now it's week one. And the commissioner, who again is Rachel's wedding officiant, are playing each other. Rachel versus her commissioner/wedding officiant. And the commissioner officiant starts Rashid Shaheed, who has one catch for four yards and gets not like, you know, point four yards. Then the game ends. And the commissioner realizes he did not add the kick return rule and changes the league settings, which results in Rashid Shaheed getting eight more points for his 80 kick return yards. - Oh. - Do we think this rule should be included week one since he didn't even add the rule and only changed it when he noticed his player did not get enough? - Was that the difference between a wedding and loss? - I followed up with Rachel to see if the outcome changed, but I kind of don't think that should change the answer. - I have an immediate thought. Do you guys? - Yeah. - Look, I think so. - The way I see it is the commissioner himself forgot to change the rule. You gotta live with that, buddy. Sorry, you can change it for week two. If the commissioner were not involved in this matchup, maybe you could argue to retroactively change the points and put it back in place if everybody voted on it. But the commissioner himself switching it so that he can get more points and potentially win. It's like, buddy, you forgot. It's on you, you gotta live with your mistake. For one week, you can change it next week. That's how I feel. - I agree with that completely. I will, I worry that he messed up someone else, though. Like did he mess up anyone else in the league and affect material outcomes of games? Because if he did, that makes me a little more worried, but I agree with Craig that said, like if he's the only one affected, that he has changed it for everyone by him. - Yes, I do want to know about that. - Do you want to know about the communications, though? - Manually adjust their scores. - Yes. - It's one of those, if there was a draft and before the draft, it was like, "Hey, everyone, reminder, we're doing this thing." And everyone agreed. That kind of is one thing. However, if it was just kind of like, "Yeah, I sent 10 polls, four of the 12 people voted "and three of the 12 people voted to do kick return yards." So we're doing kick return yards. That's kind of crazy. And also never mind the fact that kick return yards, I think they're kind of dumb, especially now, how it works, making them equal, I think, not ideal. - I think ultimately it's his responsibility to get the rules set correctly before the season starts. And if it would have benefited him, that is shady. - You make the good point, though. - Change it for going into week two. - I agree, but DK makes a good point that, like there was probably one game in their league where some guy should have won because of this kick return rule, had it been correctly instituted and it wasn't. - Is there any world they should just not do this rule? - If it was not community. If it was just the poll, I'm kind of like, - Well, no, because the flip side is, but that probably affected how you drafted people. - Well, that's the flip side is, here's the thing. Let's say people didn't know, and maybe it wasn't communicated, 'cause you usually want to know your rules, but if you check the settings and it's not there, if you're auto drafting and the site you're using is not accounting for kick return yards, that completely changes the draft list. So if it wasn't communicated well, I think there's one thing that's clear, though, they maybe they needed to do efficient for the wedding. I mean, can you trust him? Is he going to even show up with a speech? We don't know. - I think that's the choice. I think it's like, option A is-- - Is he going to have the marriage license for the right state? Who knows? - Yeah, I think kick return yards or officiate the wedding and they can pick. - I think if he's a good commissioner and he wants to earn the respect of the league, he should apply the kick return statistics to every team in the league, but his own from week one retroactively. He loses the points that week alone and then he changes the rules permanently for week two and beyond. - I actually agree with that. - He's a benevolent dictator. That's what he would do. - I think that would be a good, that would look good. - I actually completely agree with that. - Okay. - I'm glad we're on the same page with that. So, do you think he officiates the wedding? - Yeah, if he does that way for sure. - Absolutely. - Okay, good. Otherwise, though. All right, can I read you guys an email here? - Sure. - Email. - This one's from Elliott. - Ew! - Well, Elliot writes breakfast was, wow, I love this breakfast thing, man. - Yeah. - Six breakfast sausages, three eggs, two pieces of toast, half a banana, decaf coffee. - Oh, he's got to be lifted. - He's getting ready for a marathon. - That's got to be a lift, right? Six sausages? - Yeah, that's a lot. - That guy's starting his day with like 75 grams of protein. - Fueling up. - So, Elliot, right. So the last episode we did, the ban, we're doing Craig, what month is it? - If the 80s were nuts, month. - Well, let me tell you about the 80s, how nuts the 80s were. - Okay. - Our last ban was scorpion. - Yeah. - The scorpions are scorpion. - Scorpion. - Wait. - The scorpions? - The scorpions. - I don't even know. - What was it, here I got scorpions? - What was it again? - Scorpions. - Scorpions. - What was plural? - A German ban. - A German ban. - No, the. - Trap. - The. - So, Elliot writes, I thought you'd find it interesting that your latest 80s banger came from a ban to scorpions who may have had a song written by the CIA to help end the Cold War. - Really? I'm listening. - Yeah, keep going. - So essentially, the scorpion song, "The Winds of Change" may have maybe been written by the CIA as a covert mission to get into Russia during the Cold War. - They're a German ban. - Interesting. - And there is an eight-part podcast series about it from Patrick Keefe, who apparently wrote a book called Say Nothing, which then they made a TV series about, apparently, Chris Ryan and Andy Greenwald to talk about the show in the movie. - I've read the book and watched a series. It's great. - Wow. - You watched the show, read the book, didn't bring this up. When we talked about scorpions for five minutes, that they were CIA-ciop, maybe. - Well, sorry, the book, say nothing? - Oh, sorry, that one's about the troubles, right? - Right, that one's not about this. - Sorry, sorry, you're right, yes. That one's about the troubles. So that guy who wrote that book in TV show. - Patrick Keredenkeef. - Yes. Did a pod, an eight-part podcast that is, I can't prove it, but apparently well-researched, that that song was written by the CIA, wins of change, and the score, and it was like a sigh-up to get in the room. - Take me to the magic of the moment, on a glow, midnight. - It's a good song. - Is that the score? - That's kind of one of the craziest. So it was like one really creative guide in the CIA. Like, how do you think they figured that out? They're like, who, who can write a song? - It's the Don Draper meme, and it's like hair bands. - I have. (laughs) - You know what song, that comment reminds me so much of there was a song by Sting. I think it was, and it was like, I hope the Russians love their children too, or something like that. It was like a very cold war song about hoping-- - The song is called "Russians." - Yeah, and I very vividly remember that, being like a thing, and listening to it and being like scared. I'm like, this is what, who's gonna bomb us? I, you know what, I just get a new question though? I want an email from our like older listeners. I want an email reminding us like about the Cold War, because I had a professor once in college, be like, you guys don't get it. We didn't know anything about what was going on over there. He's like, we didn't know what cars they drove, we didn't know what clothes they wore. We didn't know what they were doing. We had never seen any, like, he was like, you have no idea how little we knew at the time. - Yeah. - And I don't think about that, but that is kind of crazy to think about. - Well, during the cold, I mean, still, I imagine still, but during the Cold Wars, like the American Embassy there, like the Russian KGB would follow literally everyone all around 100% of the time. Like if you're in Russia, you have someone following you around the entire time. All right, Soviet Union, I guess, but yeah. - Well, I'm surprised why were we allowed to even have an American Embassy there? - For diplomatic communication and things like that, yes? - Probably in that, like getting assigned to the Bosco - Yes. - Whatever did like, what's it called? - Bureau. - Yeah, but no, but what's it called the Embassy in Bosco was like getting called up to the big leagues. - Even now, we're going to the fucking show. - Now it's different. - Like going to Bosco. - It was. - It was. - Even before Ukraine, even before the Ukrainian invasion, the people I know in DC, I had multiple people across different levels of experience tell me that they would rather get deployed to like, backdad or Afghanistan than in Bosco. - For everything that's not there. - Yeah. - Yeah. - Anyway. - But anyway, yeah. - Ends of change. - That's crazy. - That is wild. - So wait, can you, sorry, can you re-explain the story? The CIA wrote this song apparently as like a-- - I don't, I can't prove it, but there's this podcast by a very respected author that investigates that the Scorpion song "Win's a Change" was written by the CIA. And I don't know to the extent to which that, but that basically it was like that was, they wanted to get into Russia with music. - So, but I wanted to give them like a, they wanted to give, it's like, it's like seven nation army, but for like, you know. - They wanted to get behind the, they wanted to get behind the Iron Curtain 'cause this was a German band. - So you're saying like, they wrote a song that Russia would like so much that the Scorpions would then play in Russia and they could sneak in with them? Like what do you mean? - I don't know, but the wall fell down, man, so who knows? I don't know. I don't know, maybe, I don't know what happened, man. - Okay. - But I just found out about this too. So here, so this, what I'm saying is basically the idea is the CIA wrote it as Cold War propaganda to like be like a sign of peace and the end of communism and like basically be like pro-West propaganda. - So it was not a literal plan, like in, like in Vade Russia, it was more of a, they wanted the song to incite change. - I don't know. - They wanted to incite change and help topple the Soviet Union. - Yeah, so it came out like right after the Berlin wall fell. - It's also like, it says on Wikipedia, it says, again, I guess there's a whole eight-part podcast we can listen to. Also, this guy, this author is like a staff writer at the New Yorker. So I think it is-- - Patrick Redkef is like, he's on a heater right now. He's done some really good books. - The thing I'm thinking about is apparently this started as a rumor at the CIA internally. And I keep thinking about zero dark 30, where like they made a whole movie about like how we got a summer bin Laden. And like that whole story was kind of a cover story to make up to protect the person that actually gave them the info in a summer bin Laden. Like the whole thing with the career and everything was all made up. - Was it? - Yeah, like that is not what happened. So I'm kind of like, I don't know, maybe they made this song. - Interesting. - Yeah, it is very fascinating. - Also-- - That's a great song, by the way. When's it change? - Yeah. - Yeah. - The CIA also wrote, "Where's the love by the black eyed peas to end the war in Iraq?" - Yeah, but it did. - It's black with. - Okay. - What are you guys doing? - Good morning. - Okay, Craig, tell us about, you went to the Emmys last night. Tell us about going to the Emmys. - It was, the Emmys are really fun. The Emmys are like a bigger, more chaotic Oscars. There's like way more people. It's in downtown LA, not in Hollywood. It's in a much bigger venue. Actually, the Oscars are moving into the Emmys venue in two years. So the Oscars are gonna be where the Emmys are. Two years from now, much bigger venue. But it's much more like, you're the producer of the town with Matthew Bellingers. You're not buying a ticket. You're actually going in his suit and everything. - Yeah, you can't buy a ticket to the Emmys. You have to get invited to the Emmys. - I just really didn't really set that up for you. - Sure, sure, sure. But yes, Matt is gracious enough to bring me as his plus one. Thank God his wife doesn't like going to award shows because otherwise I'd be screwed. But yeah, it's cool. The Emmys are just way more accessible because everyone's kind of just in one area. Oscars are like kind of separated by floor. And if you don't have the right pass, you kind of can't get to the right floor. Emmys, it's like anybody, if Mark Ruffalo or Nicole Kidman wants to go get a drink at the bar, like it'll be the same bar you're at. - That's sweet. So who's in line at the bar for you? - Well, the cooler part is I went to the HBO after party. And there was a lot of fun HBO slabs from HBO shows. Like I saw Steve Carell. I saw Tim Robinson, who's in the chair company, which is a show I love at HBO. Stephen Colbert was there. - I got stabbed by an Emmy in the hand accidentally. And I bled. I drew blood from an Emmy. - Blood? - Like the, like what is the, is it like a winger? What did I forget? - Yeah, there's like 20 prongs at the end of an Emmy award. And it's lit, a guy was going down the stairs and I was going up the stairs. And he accidentally stabbed me in between my ring finger and my middle finger and I drew blood. It's on the talent Instagram. - Stabbed you. - You got stabbed at the Emmys. - Yeah, I got stabbed by an Emmy. The wings of the person on the Emmy or whatever that is. - And then what happened? Did Gary Oldman apologize to you or what happened? - I wish I knew who it was. 'Cause I'm gonna, I'm gonna keep looking for them. But it was cool. HBO did a great job. It was like really good food. It was like at this kind of fun social club place. And they were just like, we had like Hal and Ray's chicken and waffles. There was like Henry Secret ice cream, which is like this new ice cream spot in LA. They did a very good job. I was kind of eating my fill. I didn't have dinner. So I was kind of just going from station to station. Matt and I just kind of eat a lot when we go to these parties. So yeah. - That sounds awesome. What, who was the best dressed? - Who was the best dressed? - I think it hates asking, being asked questions so that I love them asking just like the who's the best dressed. - Well Meg Stalter, who's in the show hacks, was literally dressed as an Emmy. She painted her body gold. - I'm looking for it. - So I'm gonna give it to her. - Really? Who is that? - She's Stalter. - Oh wow. - Yeah. - She literally dressed as the Emmy. - That's fun. I thought the in-memorium really hit. The in-memorium with Catherine O'Hara really hit. - Yeah. I have it your girl, Mariska Hargitay. She crushed. I thought she was really good. - She was awesome. - The opening bit. - The opening bit with Jalen Brunson. And she was like, you have no idea what it is. Sorry, like I have to do this all my own Jalen. I don't have to tip it in for me. - I was really good. - It was really good. You did a Dolly part in. that was good. And Widow's Bay was like the big winner. Widow's Bay fucking cleaned up. They won 14 Emmys. Dude, what about Malaney? I forget what award Malaney did, like best actor in a drama. And he just had like a like a five minute standup bet he did. Yeah, you know what, I didn't realize it. It was hilarious. It was like easily the funniest part of the night. He's just the best. He's so I guarantee you he was like he told the Emmys producers. He's like I'm just give me five minutes. I'm not telling you what I'm saying. I'm just gonna go out. I'll do it. Don't worry. And he did this whole bit about like how how men have been slited in television for years and how they deserve a chance and how the types of roles that men play. He had a DJ. He was like the once he's like the great DJ Khaled once said that real men and they bleeped that out on NBC. Yes, they bleeped it on TV. I didn't realize you couldn't say that. Can you say that on Netflix? I don't know. But it was really fun. It's always it's always a treat in a privilege to be able to go to these things. It was cool. Trying to make a face. My show slow horses won for best directing. Yeah. Direction. Yeah. Yeah, Jack and I have to watch slow horses any 11 DK. But can we just we got off the crag being stabbed in the hand too quick. What did you you're bleeding at the Emmys? What he wouldn't know? What is it? So the after party at the Emmys I was bleeding. You got you got stabbed in Emmy at the HBO after party? Yeah, because there's no there's no if you're at the Emmys. No one's running around with Emmys just yet. I guess after they win. But at the after party everyone like I saw Noah Wiley was holding two Emmys from the pit. And he's like holding them just kind of walking around holding his tequila and two Emmys. They're really heavy. I know I was gonna say. Oh, yeah, forget. Yeah, the pit won everything. And so everyone's just what are people? So when people put their Emmys down or people like losing their Emmys and shit? Like you know, you know, you got a team around you. You know, you hand it to your assistant or something or somebody on your team can hold your an Emmy holder. So what are you doing when you're bleeding out the HBO after party? You know, I just poured a martini on it to kind of sterilize it. Nice. And there was a martini fountain. There was like a martini ice sculpture bar inside of a fountain and you could like build a martini from an ice sculpture. It was they go hard at these things. And then that was like, dude, this is nothing 20 years ago. This stuff was like 10 times as crazy. The money that they used to spend on parties in Hollywood back in the day. They used to host premieres on the Santa Monica pier. They would close down the pier for like Spider-Man. And it would be like the entire thing was just for this movie premiere. Now it's like they shut down half a street. Do you guys ever feel like we missed an era? We're about to do 80s month continued. So yes. Yeah. Good point. All right. Thank you, DK. Thank you, Craig. Thank you, Cam. Thank you, Austin. Thank you to kill. Thank you. Everyone for listening. Emails are in your fantasy football gmo.com. Keep sending us trivia questions. Send us fantasy courts. Yeah. Keep keep emailing us complaints. Whatever. If you have other players, you instantly regret? Then I'm sorry for telling you to draft agent Brown. He did look good for this two plays. Thank you, Lord. Lord. I can take this. I can take this one if you like, Craig. You just got last one. Did I? Okay, then you take it because you hit us with scorpion. Oh, that's right. You take it. You take it. Absolutely banger. This is coming from a man who kind of, I don't want to say this man's ugly because that's rude, but I did have it. I did have a take that like we need more ugly musicians again because they made better music. Right. And so I'm not going to say that this guy's ugly, but he doesn't look like a pop star. He doesn't look like a major musician. He's not hot. I'm going to go with in the air tonight by Phil, motherfucking Collins. Oh, Collins 1981. He looks like an accountant. And he's on stage. Look at this video. I just say you he is. We had the same Instagram. This came up a malware. He's wearing like a crisp button down shirt and a headset. Like he's literally an IT guy. It looks like he's about to give a Ted talk about like some computer chip or something. Yeah, he looks like he's like number six at Amazon. And he's and this is what he was at a dinner with friends and they're like, Phil, you know, you're on, right? He's like, oh, crap. Like he put this on on purpose. This is just what he wore. And he just goes and absolutely brings down the house within the air tonight. Dude, dude, dude, dude, dude, dude, dude, dude, dude. I love it. It's like so iconic. You know, this reminds me Phil Collins or reminds me so much of that line from from Austin Powers where she's like, in the 70s, you could be a sex symbol and have bad teeth. Like in the 80s, you could be ugly and be a sex symbol. You know what they did care back then. What's different about now because honestly, this probably has to do with how impatient we are because of modern technology and social media and all that crap. But like, dude, back in the day, in the air tonight takes a long time to get going. It is a forever. This entire old town road before anything cool happens. I mean, songs like, um, money for nothing by dire straits or like four play long time by Boston. It literally has four play in the title. But like, it takes like two minutes before like the song gets going. But by the time you get there, it pays off. When you wait, yeah, pay office is twice as good. So it's just a Shendo song. We have a whole playlist. People were willing to wait for the good things back then. Man, this, this video from that concert, man, dude, he just, he looks like Steve Balmer out there like on stage. He looks like he could be one of them. The need to get behind the drums. Like, he does the whole like thing and sings it. Well, he's why he's wearing that. Yeah. Yeah. It's not because it's, it's not because it's cool. No, he looks like he's playing Halo on his break. Yeah. That's, he's like answering like a service call in the middle of the concert. He's like, he's like, he's like the lamest streamer of all time. I love it. It's the best. People were more comfortable back then just being themselves. Should we should we do it? Should we get this headsets for an episode? Dude, he's in like slacks and a belt. Like I don't what he's in front of like a hundred thousand people. It's great. He looks like he was like at work. He does so good. I mean, he was technically at work. He's just walking around. He looks like Chris Nolan on set. Like, it's like legitimately have my dad dressed. He does. It's crazy. It's so good. Like, pleated slacks. What are the, what are the like the really generic dress shoes called? I don't even know what those are called. Oxford's. Sure. He's, he's got like a severe widow's peak. Like, it doesn't care. He's bald. He's like, whatever. You know what though? He's, he rolled up his sleeves. Yeah. So he's, he's a little, you know, he's a little loose casual. Yeah, right. That's, that's a party outfit. Took his tie off. It's awesome. A hundred and twenty thousand people are at this show and they are loving it. Man, 80s were different. I think we were really different. God, this is sick. Goodbye, everyone. 1. The hosts deeply regret drafting Jalen Waddle in fantasy football, despite being convinced by hype and projections, only to see him underperform with minimal targets and no significant production.
  2. They criticize Sean Payton’s coaching style, claiming he deliberately undermines fantasy value by not playing his best players and instead using decoy schemes that frustrate fantasy managers.
  3. A major moment of regret involves doubting Patrick Mahomes’ performance after a strong debut, which the hosts admit was a poor decision rooted in offseason analysis and overconfidence.
