Porcelain Fillings & Going Bugonia Mode

The speaker shares a deeply personal reflection on her trip to Japan and its lasting impact on her lifestyle, values, and self-awareness. She contrasts Japan’s slow, mindful, and intentional culture with the fast-paced, consumption-heavy lifestyle in the U.S., highlighting how the experience triggered a profound "ego death" — a moment of self-realization where she questioned the priorities of her daily life. She emphasizes how Japan’s culture of simplicity, family-centered living, and reduced consumerism taught her to value presence over productivity. This shift led her to reevaluate her financial habits, especially in health and insurance, where she learned that neglecting routine dental care resulted in a $5,600 expense due to untreated cavities. She reveals a critical misbelief in crescent floss, attributing poor oral health to years of neglect and lack of self-care. The trip also deepened her appreciation for personal style, body acceptance, and authenticity, especially in a society that increasingly pressures individuals to conform to idealized beauty standards. Her journey underscores the importance of proactive self-investment, including mental, physical, and financial wellness, as a way to maintain balance amid a hectic, digitally saturated life. Ultimately, the experience has inspired her to adopt a more intentional, grounded, and self-aware approach to living — both personally and professionally — as a direct result of her time abroad and personal growth.

[MUSIC] [MUSIC] >> Well, hey, guys, like what's up? >> Hey, guys. >> What's up? >> Guys, how's it going? >> Well, there's a lot going on. I love when, you know, obviously we do record pretty, I don't know. We're sometimes we're like a week or two in advance, but Maya, you went to Japan. >> Yes. >> And I'm having your back. >> Yes, I'm happy to be with you. >> I'm happy to be with me and it was really fun. >> Thank you for doing that. >> Y'all were living for Savonation. >> Yeah, absolutely. >> We'll have to do another three key. >> Yeah. >> Because guys, guess what's coming back? >> Right. >> The Nike half marathon. >> Oh, and I thought she was going to say love Island. >> Yeah. So what's that got to do with the three of us? >> Well, it's just like the three of us bonded last year. >> Yes. >> And it's just like, I feel like it'd be such a fun way to bond again. I was on the phone with my mom telling her about it. >> Well, because you could bond with her. You see, because well, you can bond with her. >> Yeah, you know, my mom's always down for, of course. Because if I could fucking run a half marathon at the drop of a hat, I would be down to. >> I know, she's like, I haven't been running. I'm like, girl, you're fine. >> You know that don't matter. You know that don't matter. >> I was like, girls, exactly. >> I like that. >> You notice that. >> Yeah, because she can run whatever she wants. >> And so can you. >> And so can you. >> Yeah, no, thanks for holding it down, guys. Like, I really appreciate that seriously. You know what I mean? Because it was serious. No, and honestly, like, like, what's there to say? You know what I'm saying? What's there to say other than like, I don't even know. Like, what I'll say on the Japan of it all is like, one, I always say it. Y'all can't. Y'all. We think. Oh, no, she has things to say. Number one, the United States thinks you're doing shit about shit. Baby, you ain't never done shit, but nothing but shit for a moment. >> Okay. >> You never done anything to wish it for him. But because the shopping, and then turns it into a shopping thing. But I'm like, genuinely, like, I always say that nobody does consumerism. Like, quite like Japan. In my experience, I haven't been like everywhere on the world. But like, from the places I've been, nowhere does consumerism like Japan. And it's just funny because I live in like, apparently, what the capitalist capital, like we supposed to be like, work for your shit, and then you can have shit, like, baby. Baby. Yeah. You go to Japan, girl, and it's like, the produce, really sickening. The produce is sickening. I was telling the girls, like, I went during the, I went during, like, strawberry season. And like, if you think you've ever had a strawberry, I'm gonna tell you right now, you ain't ever had a strawberry data unless you have the privilege of, like, eating it from the farm. You know, I'm saying, like, tended from the farm and not going through, like, Driscoll. Like Paris. Yeah. Like, Harry's Jerry's. So literally, like, the produce is just, the produce is fresher. The shopping is sickening fierce. Like, the department store is, like, literally be, like, 10 stories tall. It's like, so as a girl who likes to go to the mall and, like, black out, it's just like, what the hell we going to do now. But I will say that there is something, because, you know, I grew up going to Japan, which I'm, like, so grateful for and, like, because of that, though, even the difference, because I know we keep, I, well, I keep talking about the frontal cortex and how it genuinely, like, changes the chemistry of your brain and, like, everybody said it would. And, like, I didn't believe anyone. And, like, now I'm here and I'm, like, whoa, the frontal cortex of last time I went to Japan, I probably bought, like, 50% of the stuff that I bought I never wore. And it was just because, like, I went to the store and I'd be like, oh, my God, I've never seen that. Buy it. I genuinely felt like I was walking around with like a monical in the clip where it was fucked up. Like, I was feeling my age. Like, I was walking around, like, and if I can name five outfits, this would go with right now, then I'll buy it. Well, and that's what, and that's what I was going to say. Oh. See, I love that. Well, hate that in the terms of, like, the whimsy of just going and being, like, a young hoe and, like, just buying everything, I love. But I do love it in the sense of, like, it is showing the growth in, like, my frontal cortex and, like, wow, okay. Well, that's what I was going to say about, you know, when you get older and you kind of start thinking more about wiser and start thinking about, like, a capsule closet. Yeah. Maybe you're, like, down to, like, spend a little more on, like, some quality pieces and stuff. Actually. I do. I feel like, also, that, and the idea of, like, personal style, yeah, it really comes down to that. Because I feel like, as you're trying to, like, figure out your personal style and, like, as things progress, like, you do become a little more, like, picky, choosy and, like, strict. I don't know. I think also, too, it's, I think it's a really cool, it's my, it's one of my favorite quality about, like, people that I meet that have a really strong sense of personal style because I think it is really easy to get so excited about, like, clothes and seeing pieces and all of the above and stuff. And that's how I feel, like, sometimes I'll see something on someone or just on a rack and I'm like, fuck, that's so cute. And then I'm like, wait, hold on, it's just cute. Hold on, young, how? Yeah, it's, like, it's just cute. Yeah, it's just, like, let her be cute and, you know, know 100%. But, but that is real, that's, like, sweet. Well, because I was, I was gagged. I was definitely gagged because I used to run around with a different, like, and, or even just two years ago, again, like, I guess you really do come in 25, 26 because even, like, two years ago, I was buying things that it was, like, girl, you don't even have, like, pants to match. And you're just buying it because it's, like, the ua-a sensation, which there's something to that too. And if you're young, you know what I mean? Like, let's just go ahead and run with that because eventually you do wake up and you're like, I can't even, like, impulse like that anymore. That's crazy. But also, just on, like, I'm like, right, just on, like, the 32nd, like, thesis of it all, like, I actually experienced, like, a very fierce ego death in that country. I'm going to be honest. Like, you know, we've been doing, we've been doing the one to step the run around. We've been work, work, work, work, and grind and also just, you know, being people who live in the states. I think we forget, like, how much of, like, the grind and it's about grind. It's about power. Like, we stay hungry. We devour. It's perhaps, like, not just, like, cultural, but something that is, like, it's genuinely part of our every single day messaging, you know what I mean? And, like, honestly, just, like, stepping away for a week and not having that in my day-to-day and also experiencing something very different because, you know, Japanese cultures just, like, very, very different. And even just, like, King with my aunt, like, I'm so sorry, I love her so much, and like, she lives, obviously, a Japanese lifestyle, and like, she's very slow. She's very, girl, she go to the grocery store, she pick up to her tree, like, she make it that night. She, like, hangs up her laundry, like, her just way of living is so, I don't know why this makes me tear up, I just love her so much, but, like, it's just so much slower and intentional and less distracted and kind of just, like, busy. And I think, like, you know, when I go to Japan, I have a familial experience. That's why I'm, like, we should go so we can have, like, a young-how experience. Like, I have never really, like, drink in Japan. I've never, like, gone to a nightclub. Like, it's always very much, like, I'm going to, like, the supermarket with my aunt, like, making dinner, you know what I mean? And, like, hanging out. Because it's very, like, family ties, but, um, I don't know, something about that, like, really actually giving ego death, like, I woke up one morning and I was just, like, the things that I think matter to me on my day-to-day when I live in the States, when I'm not in the States. Like, I haven't thought about them one time. Yeah. Well, and I will, I will say, because living, yes, I think, especially in the States, like, it's all around us and, like-- And we're in LA. Yeah. And that's what I was going to say. I was just, like, especially living in LA, because, like, even sometimes, when, like, I go to, like, I don't know, somewhere like Arizona, we're, like, you know, there's pockets here and there. Yeah, totally. But, like, just even suburban living versus, like, living in a city and just, like, 200 times slower. Yeah. And I went to Mendocino, um, and just even up there, there's, like, no major retailers, like, you know, the closest, like, place that had, like, even a Taco Bell was, like, Fort Bragg, but, like, actually in Mendocino, like, there's, like, a small town that, like, you know, had, like, a local grocery store and, like, just, it was, like, so much smaller and, like, slower. And, um, I was just, like, oh, it felt, it was, like, almost, like, really jarring to experience not, like, having nothing to do. Yeah. And, like, not being super busy and just being, like, yeah, oh, okay, well, we did this and we did that. And, like, I don't know. I feel like in LA or a major city, like, New York or even, like, you know, just other places where it is, like, a fast, pace way of living. It's very rare where you find yourself, like, nothing to do or just even, like, fuck it. Your court is all levels of, like, it's just, it is, like, I don't know, it is, there is something really beautiful about that, that, like, you can adopt into. Yeah. I think that's the, like, promise that I made to myself and also something so crazy that, like, the last thing I'll say on the ego death, because it literally happens, like, one morning when I woke up, I have it, like, written down my journal, but the time difference is also really fierce because specifically, like, by the time I wake up, well, by the time I was waking up, it was, like, what, like, noon for you guys, or, like, one p.m. or something like that. And even just, like, in a digital sense, like, the feeling of waking up and everyone's already posted for the day. Yeah. rather than the wake up of what you don't notice, this soft, hum routine of people posting throughout the day, and then you see something new every two hours, but I would wake up in the morning and literally it would be like 30 fucking posts, and that I would come up in the morning and I scrolled on Instagram and I literally was like. (sighs) Like, it's too much. - Yeah. - It's too much. Ordered a break, it's too much. - Yeah, so I think that's all of those things being the brickisty I have one. - The brickisty, and I'm also, yeah, I think for me that, you know, aside from all the fun and chill awesome experiences and shopping and food that I had there, like I think that's like the thing that I, like that's like the seed that I took back. Where I'm kind of just like, there really are things that I want to adapt into my regular life to just kind of keep my sanity and like, my course all down. - Yeah. - And so for that specifically, like I'm, I think that's where I find like the most of my gratitude is I'm literally like, oh shit. Like what actually fucking matters to me, you know what I mean? - Yeah. - Like revisiting that is like in my plan for the next like week now that I'm sitting in LA for more than two days. - Yeah. - Well, and that's what it's gonna say too is like, I mean, I think the newest part of this job for both of us is the traveling 'cause like, you know. - Yeah, totally. 'Cause like obviously you guys see us on camera here, looking with you guys, but like when we do things like go on tour, like you know, sometimes we speak at schools and like we don't always like promote those 'cause it's just like, you know. - The girls in No No, right? - Right, right. Or just even, you know, we were like in Austin 'cause we were like that I heard like podcast awards and just like a couple different like work things that require us to like, you know, shift our routine and stuff and yeah, I was listening to a podcast about that. 'Cause I was just like, yeah, it's, yeah. It's really interesting, but yeah, it's like finding a way to like balance everything because at the end of the day that's all you can do, you know what I mean? - Yeah, no, and heavy on balance for sure. So that's like my next thing that I'm setting, like I did like me first meditation, like genuinely probably six months last night. I was like, oh, what the fuck? Like it's like, I'm chill. - Yeah, but yeah, it's like the proactive versus the reactive of what I do totally. - They're having a plan and like knowing like, yeah. - Yeah, it's, it's tough. I mean, I think like the sweep up too is like really fierce. Like we can't not acknowledge that, you know, where I feel like it like, like shit like ramped up and even the traveling and even the things that come with traveling of like when we know that like one of us are gonna be gone or whatever, like we're always recording. Like, you know what I mean? Like there's just so many, I think things that have also changed that maybe we haven't even fully realized of change, if that makes sense. Like in the sweep up of like, it's like finding a new routine when like a routine has already been set for you in a way of like, you know, you know how, because like, well, we genuinely like, y'all know, hey, you know, if you've seen us at a school show, you know, T, but like when the school will be like, I next week, we'll be like, yeah, fuck it. And it's like, okay, T, how do you even, or like finding how you can like prepare for an unpredictable schedule? You know, it's almost like, well, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, no. I was thinking about that 'cause yeah, well, well, I was thinking about that 'cause I'm just like, when things are so busy, the only thing you can do is invest in yourself, genuinely at the end of the day. Like, 'cause I'm like, you know, schedule, work, life will always require so much of you. And so it's just like the best thing you can always do, the best money I spend is the money for others. Yes, but like the money that I spend to invest in myself, like, gym membership, fucking going to the dentist. We'll talk about that in a second. And just things of that nature where you're just like, taking care of your body and taking care of your mental and like the money I spend on therapy and like, all these things that like, you know, can, or just like even like going to the grocery store and like, like scheduling out time. So I can take my time, like, just things of that nature. It's like really small and it doesn't seem like much, but like in the long run, it really is like so good for you and like helps kind of sustain you through like, the busy moments where, you know, then now I'm like, in a place where like I was gone for like, you know, a week, you were gone for like three and I'm like, oh, I don't have groceries. Like time to like, re-implement like the, the routine and like, yeah, the reinvestment in self. So no, I see you as, yeah, I'm hitting a fucking nasty, fucking reboot right now. Like I'm genuinely like, when I think about the last six months, I'm genuinely like, guys, if that wasn't my, if that wasn't part of my Saturn return, I'm done. Like either, either that was a part of my Saturn return or my Saturn return personally is gonna be like lit because I'm like, when I really think about it, it's been like six months of just, just foolery. Like foolery name Tom, you know what I mean? Like no shade because I'm like, and I also am somebody who does not have patience. So I'm like, usually will give, okay, you know, you little, okay, you need to do your little one, so I'll give you three days. What about like six months? Yeah. I almost talked about something that might be little too dark, but you know, y'all remember what happened on my front lawn, like literally. So it's just kind of like, it's been an aukey six month, like honestly, from the second I had to move until now, and like fuck it, let's take it like Pascotella actually. After April, that's when like I'm going to like, I haven't seen Bugonia, but I'm gonna assume like whatever happened to her that she was bald and painted. That's what I'm gonna do. That's like literally the same. Like I'm gonna hit that Bugonia shade, and then I'm gonna come back and like, you know what I mean? Like it'll give like, I don't know. No, like they're gonna put me through the Bugonia, and then I'm like, whatever they did to her in Bugonia. Oh dear. But I don't know. Watch the movie, and then I will watch the movie. I will watch the movie. Just the bald and the painted, like resonates with me right now. Like I'm feeling very bald and like painted. No, speaking of bald and painted, let me tell y'all what fucking happened to me, okay? Let me tell y'all what the fuck happened. - The dentist, when they shaved her head. - No, the dentist, when I had to get bald and painted, because no, like I was like, so no. Okay, well guys, so here's the tea. Let me ease your mind. I was talking to my friend about taxes, and like our taxes are like really complicated as like 1099 people. And so if anyone can relate to the 1099 of it all, and especially maybe if you work in the creator industry, you're like you're an artist and like, or you freelance in any way. The 1099 is fucking scary for a multitude of reasons, and it requires you to be proactive, and it requires you to like be on your ship. But like for me, when I became an influencer at what? Like fucking 22, I, when I tell you, did not put any money aside, and it's because what the fuck? - Because what the fuck, who gives a fuck? - Yeah, so like, there was some years where me and the IRS were like, they were like, do you have a job? - No. - Yeah, so you know, now anyways, with all of that being said. - Just kidding, that's a legend, that was a joke. - That was a joke, if the IRS, that was a joke. - That was a big joke, because we joke on this podcast. - Yeah, we joke, and it's like, we're like comedians. - And more on that. - More on that on the Patreon, but anyway. - Yeah, the Patreon episode, the Patreon episode, that's about to go down. - It's actually about to be so good, I'm excited to unload the clip with y'all. - And guys, sorry, it's been a minute. Can I just say sorry? Can I say sorry? Because, I'm sorry, I really wanna hear this story, 'cause she wouldn't even tell me before. That's how you know it's good. - Yeah. - Sorry that we haven't been uploading Patreon bonuses to take off the mask for a second. Like, the T is like, we've been traveling so much back and forth and together, that like, the time that we would use to do bonuses, we'd film an episode ahead. Like, I'm so sorry, you know what I mean? - Well, and we've been like, putting out bonus content, like we've been doing vlogs, we've been doing like, reaction videos and stuff, but anyways, with that being said, like, it's been a while since we've sat down and like, physically, like, told you guys all the behind the scenes and stuff that we've usually typically done in the extended episodes. - Yeah. - So anyways, just know that we're about to do that today. - Just know that we have things to talk about. - Yeah. And just know that like, more behind the scenes. - More on that at 11. - We're just, you know, hey, thank you guys for just being with us through the process of this learning and growing. - Oh, thank you so much and thank you because like, genuinely, yeah, the behind the scenes is Hashtag gnarly, but like, what we will do is be here every Wednesday, rain or shine or from the future of the past, okay? And listen, just know that. No matter what happens as much as we keep growing and like, situations we find ourselves in, keep getting crazy, you know, we will always find a way to unload the clip with you guys on the BTS of it all. - That's the only, and I was just telling the girls before this and more on that in the Patreon. The Hashtag industry Cyrus. The industry Noah Cyrus, that's not even a good one. The industry like Lynn Spears, like the industry Lynn Spears. Some of your friends brains are softer than your other friends. Some of the, some of your friends are Gemini's and not Capricorn's, you know what I'm saying? So like, personally, like the industry literally like, what we went, let me not say what through, but it's been fierce behind the scenes. It's fierce and just know that like, showing up and putting my feet on this, pink carpet and unloading the clip, which we should do more for therapeutic purposes. I was going to say now that we have time and now that we're in the same place for more than 20 minutes, that is what keeps me going, yeah, doing any of this, okay? So just know that rain or shine or hell or high water, Mr. Beast video or not, like if you'll see me on a Mr. Beast video, I will always be here in the big carpet because if I am not in this room with these walls, with these teams, with these people, with my friends, and my friends and family at DMG, maybe then I do in this. Yeah. I'll start growing snow peas. Like, seriously? Like, cut boots. And making jams. Yeah. But anyway, the dentist. The dentist. Oh, what I was going to say about the influencer 1099 of it all, leading into the dentist, is sometimes you fall behind on things and, yes, and like sometimes, and being an adult by yourself, like, love my mom. Love to my dad. Love your mom. And love my dad. Even though he's not with us anymore. My parents? Great people. Mom. Amazing mom. Literally, she is like, inspires me to do so much. With that being said, my parents are not the most like, hands-on parents. Like, my dad was definitely more hands-on than my mom. And like, I could definitely call him and be like, hey, dad, what do I do about XYZ? Because he's from the States. My mom, she did not grow up in the States. She's from the Philippines. And like, yeah, she's lived in the States for like, you know, as long as I've been alive. So like the past like 25. No, I can't do anything like, you know, she's been here for about just like 18 years, you know? No, I don't know. No, but like, you know, the past like 30 years with like, my sister and I. And with that being said, you know, my dad was the lamp post that like, you know, just let us know what the T was in terms of like, the adulting in the States. And yes. So with that being said, you know, with taxes, that was a tough one for me because I had to very much so like put on gangster rap, put my shit in a messy bun, handle it by myself. And they don't make it easy. They do not forget. They do not make it easy, girl, no, they want you to, yeah, they want you to not know what to do, like literally turbo tax lobbies, heavy as fuck, hard as fuck. So they lobby for taxes to be as confusing as they are so that we have to use things like turbo tax and accountants and like all those things with a more and pay more shadowed accountants and like what y'all do? But like people like fucking turbo tax lobbying for that shit is like ghetto is shit. So you all won't be seeing me do a turbo tax ad, but I might have to pop it in a handstand for the IRS. No, whatever. I know. And when the pop it in the handstand is doing a turbo tax ad and like shout out my fucking dog Joey motherfucking G that no actually shout out because and shout out macy G like let's just shout out all the G family, but like macy is one of my best friends and she's an amazing content creator. Go check out her page macy gray. Her name's so cool. It's literally macy gray. Anyways with that being said, macy is married to Joey who's an account and he's like my nigg like that asked my nigg like that guy has gathered me in a way that like the only reason why I'm not sitting in federal jail with like Elizabeth Holmes and like literally King with her and the chicken and like which mind you she has a garden. So how bad is federal jail can y'all garden? Yes, grow federal jails the white collar jail like it's like we're the fucking so you know they play cards and shit like it's not like they have them out here fucking mind you, I don't even have a garden. It's just like what the hell. No, I know. And she tends to the guard like the paparazzi pictures of her and from jail is like inside tending the garden. Oh girl. Fuck you. Oh my god. So anyways, I don't know y'all y'all let me know if I do the pod live from like I'm not even going to manifest or joke about that. Anyways, anyways, with that being said, there's things that slip between the cracks of being a creative and being an adult and having to handle things on your own. And so one of those things was health insurance. So when I got health and so my mom's health insurance, it was like she has really good health insurance because she works at a hospital. But I was like in LA and like the coverage like I had to call them and like find a specific doctor or like so then I would just go back home, handle it when I turned 26 and had to buy health insurance on my own for the first time. First off, it's fucking expensive as fuck. Like as we all fucking know, it's literally so expensive and I had no variances ruptures. So I always bought like premium health insurance because I was like if I have a medical emergency, I literally cannot produce like $40,000 out of the air like it's just not happening. So then I didn't know if you didn't know this, hey, this is like a quick little like health insurance like tea. We're having like a little tea session about like health insurance. You have to buy like so dental and like I, the optometrist, uh, insurance is separate. So like you have to add that to your health insurance package. So for the first two years, after I turned like 26, so like probably for like two, three years, I will, yeah, two and a half years. I didn't have dental insurance because I kept forgetting to add it, whatever, you'll get the tea. So I had them into the dentist for two years, but I thought I was eating because I was like, oh, I take phenomenal care of my teeth like loss, yes, brush, um, mouthwash, like my routine was like eating, like eating y'all up where I fucked up. Do you all want to know where I fucked up and I just found this out? And so actually cocoa floss, if you want to work together, let me know. The crescent shaped floss does nothing for your teeth. It doesn't do anything. It doesn't work. I just found this out. This is breaking news. It doesn't clean your teeth. It doesn't do shit, but get shit out of your teeth. That's all it fucking does. The floss, like the floss is like this, like you literally pull it out of a container. Yeah. That's the floss that actually keeps your teeth healthy, healthy, healthy, like healthy, help me, guys help, um, healthy and like keeps you from getting cavities, keeps your gums healthy and all the fucking teeth. I did not know that. So for the past two and a half years, essentially, it's like I haven't been flossing my teeth. Didn't know that. Well, pull up to the, finally get dental insurance, which it's not that expensive. It's like, it's literally $50 a month, which in comparison to what I pay for health insurance. Um, it's actually the cheapest bill I have of the month. So, and I was like, oh, I got like really good coverage, like all this stuff. Or at least I thought because when I pulled them to the dentist, you know, they did X-rays, deep cleaning, normal cleaning, all the tea, whatever, and like free, completely free. I was like bust down. It was supposed to be like $1,700, $1,800, free work. Thought I was eating. But when they were doing my X-rays, they were like, you have a big cavity here, big, like two, I had like two cavities where I needed crown, um, filling, crown, mold, like, you know, a whole new crown, whatever, but they were like, we don't know. One of them for sure needs one, we don't know about the other one. And then two of them just fillings. I was like, work. Well. So then the girl who like tells you what shit costs, love her, the front desk girl. Sorry, I don't know what like, yes, yes, um, she was like, hey, diva, so here, she's like Gen Z's Fox. She was like, here are your three prices of what it could potentially be. Because like one's a mystery and like, there's some things, whatever. So I'm seeing these prices and I'm like, oh, okay, because the cavity is literally be like, give me, give me that. So I will, and also what your dental insurance has deductibles, there's like tea. And my girlfriend was like spilling the tea because she's had like, I've never had major dental work done. Like, I've only had like fillings and like small stuff. So this is like my first, like, big one. And so dead ass, um, I was talking to my girlfriend and she was like, well, also like, sometimes like other like dental insurance covers porcelain, which is what they typically use for like a crown molding. And I was like, well, what about silver? Is silver cheaper? Because I'm like, if all four of my teeth are silver, like, I'll give a fuck. I don't bitch. It's kind of tea. Well, at this point, at this point, we're paying for grills and all this shit. Hey, babe. Thank you. So I'm gonna look like a bad ass kid who never wants to see it. And maybe this is just me. I also had weird little hyper fixations like this with teeth when I was a kid, because I never had braces and I used to like literally make braces out of like paper clips, because I was like, they're so cute. I love Tows over looks and teeth like, like, I don't know, but I'm like, you know, I know everybody be like, yeah, it's like when you a kid, whatever, but I like, when I see silver teeth. I'm always like, I love that. Okay. Me john to be like annoying, but me do. So what I should have done is actually asked for silver, but whatever, because guys, the final number. Okay. So the first number, the first full porcelain, I mean, I need a fuck a gold bar. I need fucking a porcelain bar, because mama, tell me why first price, $1,800. I'm like, ooh, I want to do I like divided by four, but I'm like, okay, if I hadn't been to the dentist in a couple years, like, and I essentially wasn't flossing for the past three years, I would expect that to be true. And this is inspiring me to go, but yes. But guys use cocoa floss, please, I literally bought it. They say it actually cleans your teeth for real. The TikTok shop ads are real. My dentist, my dentist though recommended it. And I'm saving you guys so much fucking money because this is like, if this is anything, this is my fucking PSA fucking use cocoa floss. Yes, this expanding floss right here, it comes in different flavors, whatever. You could deadass buy it on the TikTok shop. I didn't, but I saw ads for it after I went to the dentist, so a little too late. Yeah, you need to use that kind of fucking dual hairs. Well, don't, okay, you know, use whatever. But they said that one's tea because it expands between your teeth. So it's real. Yeah, I've heard about this. So it really get into this. Yeah, it's expandable floss. So it's been designed by a dentist. Here you go. I'm like, honestly, I spent $10. I spent $40 on floss before what I just fucking spent. So here, this is what happened. Here's what happened to Dada. This is what happened to daddy when she went to the doctor. So then the middle one was like $3,400. If the other tooth needs a crown molde, we don't know yet. Last price is if like something, I can't remember what the last price was. Just know it was $5,000. And I literally was like, okay. (laughing) Well, just like I heard you, man. $5,000, $5,000. So we get in there. They start working on my teeth shaving them down to like the fucking bow. Because they have to. It's cavities, they have to take out the rot, fill it. That's what they do. So they start shaving my shit down and she shows me a picture of my tooth, which I'm like, girl, fuck, Reese's, fuck a chocolate chip. (laughing) Like fuck, I'm gonna start being that bitch who deadass starts playing around. The toothbrush, after I eat like at the dinner table. Like, I am so fucking not playing with y'all because she showed me my tooth. I was like, girl, fuck that mad chip, arrow on mad chip, fucking chocolate chip, 'cause you bitch, like fuck all y'all and y'all fucking like all that shit. Oh, decay. Quite literal, decay. So she shows me the tooth and she's like, yeah. So for sure, both two crown moldings. But the other tooth that they thought was just a small filling. Actually, two of them needed partial, porcelain fillings. - Porcelain filling. - You know, like porcelain filling. - So dead. - The fuck ass y'all. So they're like, so that's gonna be porcelain too. - I hate the name porcelain. - No, why are you talking about porcelain? - Porcelain filling. - Porcelain filling. - Porcelain filling. - Do y'all have crayolay? - Do y'all literally have fucking silver mama? - Bitch, what about copper? Fuck it, copper. - I will literally take a fucking cream-colored fuse bead and I will literally put it in my fucking eye. - Well, I will literally use mercury at this point. Like, I don't give a fuck, like, I will actually use your little asbestos like fucking, like fucking uranium in my mouth, like, girl, I don't know, boy. - So then, Ms. Diva from the front desk who like spills the tea, so they're like, so it'll be like a little more work than we thought it was. - Oh. - You're in there. - So I'm in there like swimwear. And they're like, and, enough. Just shut your fucking. - Shut the fuck up. - I mean, my dentist is the girls are tea. It's all POC girls dentistry. There is not a single. - Oh, sorry, actually, let's talk about this later. - No, it's in Beverly Hills. - Oh okay, okay. - And literally, it is the best dentist in the whole entire world. Like, all, it's only girls who work there. It's the safest place on planet earth or also fucking nice. And they literally put headphones on me. Like, I could be like, connect to like, you know, they put headphones. It was the best experience I've ever had of the dentist. And like, but not the payment part. But like, the care part, amazing. They do an incredible job. So, you know. So then, I'm like shaved down. Like, mind you, I literally look like fucking golem from Lord of the Rings. Like, I literally look like smegool. My teeth are like shaved down on this side. I look fucking nuts. They haven't even put the caps on. I'm numb. I'm like this. - Right. - I'm literally talking to her like, okay. Like, literally, like, fucking need a bed. Because I'm like, spilling over, like, spitting on myself. Awesome. The girl comes at and she's like, okay, so since it's like two partial like crown moldings, 'cause they saved a lot of my teeth. So it's just like big partial pieces, I guess, essentially. She's like, so it's gonna be $5,600. Is that, she's like, is that price okay? - What do you mean is that price okay, Evan? You already took the teeth. - Don't already fucking took my teeth. I can literally walk out like smegool, like fuck it. So I'm just like, what would I do if I didn't have $5,600? - Mind you, I would have to say no. - I would literally be like, I, uh, uh, uh, uh, Lecanae phone a friend. So I was just like, yeah. - And is that with or without insurance from what they were, like, sharing with you? - It was with insurance. - Okay, thanks. So I literally was like, um, I guess, like, I was planning insane. - Oh, I was planning a trip to Europe. So I just will, um, so hey, like if, I don't like y'all take fucking box and fucking y'all take like a world's best eater and like, and like, oiled up on all over like $50 off. Like, they're like, well, with insurance, that gives you a $50 discount. - No, I'm like, so if I like, oil myself up and like, do a little like, one, two, say. - I don't like y'all think puts you marijuana. Like, I just, okay. So I'm sitting there at that point in disbelief because I was just like, - Well, 'cause what, like, genuinely? - And what can you do? - Genuinely, what can I do? Second, I'm not talking about $5,600. Like, yeah, that's like $56. No, that is a fuck ton of money. - That's like, that's three months rent. - That's three months rent. That's actually, that's so much money. The way my brain started doing like, what I could do with $5,600. What, like, all the things I could buy with $5,600. - Yeah. - I mean, and luckily, I have $5,600 from savings that I was like, okay, like, this is what savings are for. For like medical emergencies. 'Cause essentially, I will say with the teeth, it was giving like, it's at the point where it's like, you don't, I don't wanna have four root canals. So it's just like, I had to be taking care of, you know what I mean? And it just really woke up the fact that like, motherfuckers be lying to you about some crescent, fucking floss, waste of fucking money and fucking time. Like, holy shit, you, and they could just say whatever they want on the packaging. They could say, oh, it goes in between your gums. It does all this shit. No, it fucking does not. And now I'm sitting here, $5,600 in the hole, literally trying to like, twerk some to like, pay this shit off. Like, I don't know, guys. - I believe they see their genetic. - Yeah. - And. - Do too. - Yeah. - Because honestly, can I say something, controversial yet brave? If, if, crescent floss, if that, that's all I have to say. - If that. - If that, no shade. And like, well, I also will say though, I think a part of the story for the future is that every six months, bro. - Yeah. - 'Cause they allegedly could have caught it earlier, I guess, because I'm like, listen. - Well, and that's what I'm saying. And that's why I'm giving my big ass PSA now. That's why I'm giving my taxes PSA. That's why I'm giving, listen, I'm giving my PSA's because I know what it's like to be someone, a young adult who didn't know shit about shit, who didn't necessarily wasn't able to like, talk to fucking adults and people and ask questions and figure out how to like do shit. And so I had to figure it out on my own essentially, which is so fucking hard. So this is like big sister talk right now. And I'm letting you know, I'm like, I'm letting you know, when you get insurance, it's $50 fucking a month. Just see what kind of coverage you can get if you could add port, whatever you may need. Okay. - If you could add ports, if you could add ports. - Or just like, if say you hadn't been to the dentist, like if I had just literally taken the initiative to be like, I just need to go to the death, thank God I didn't go when I didn't have insurance. Thank God. - Yeah. - But with that being said, if I had just, you know, when I was younger, 26, when I bought my first time buying health insurance, if I had just fucking added dental insurance, I probably wouldn't have spent $5,600 on my fucking teeth, not knowing what was going on. - No, like you're literally about to have me like, actually like scheduling today 'cause I've been ignoring. - And like, if you need it, well yeah, 'cause I'm just like, the thing is, with mama, with mama here, and like the horror stories of like the dentist, it's just like, I get it and it does feel really scary, like it's something, 'cause my anxiety isn't something that like propels me to do stuff, my anxiety is very opposite, like I'm someone who shuts down. - Yeah. - Like I ignore problems, I like shut down until it's like, three years like, okay, I like time to go to the dentist, and then like, it's 5,600 in the whole. We're like, if I had just like, okay, I'd have been in a year, like, let's go see how my teeth health is, and they would have been like, hey, let's get these fillings done, let's like do this, that it would have not been fucking crown moldings in all this shit. - Yeah, totally. - And that's like not, I don't know, I guess I'm saying this in a very like, 'cause I feel like sometimes people try and be like, what, you let that happen? And I'm like, there's nothing to be ashamed of. Dude, I'm currently like wrestling on 'cause I already told y'all, I already told y'all about it, if I told y'all that like when I changed my insurance off my mom's insurance and like I'm paying for it and everything like, I'm not doing premium in any thing, I'm just gonna like, I don't know, and I'm just gonna like drink a beer and like handle it. But I'm just like, listen 'cause my, the first thing to go was my sick name, sick name, fierce, sick name, fierce black woman own dentist, dentist spot that was like the only spot outside of like my parents telling me to go to the dentist that I felt comfortable to be like, I'm just gonna go and like the girls are gonna key and like whatever, like just like the anxiety of the dentist as you're saying. It's just like kind of fierce for no reason, for some reason, but like, you know, it's worth it. And so they've been texting me this new man, this new man. Hey, like you need to sign up, mind you. Maybe how'd you get my number? - Yeah. - How'd you get my number? You're scaring me, number one. But I get it 'cause like Blue Cross doesn't sense it over and I'm just scared. But like, I've been sitting on it too. Like this is inspiring me because it's also the vibe of like, if y'all don't tell me nothing wrong, then like personally, like I'm just gonna go like with Christ and assume that like nothing is wrong. Because definitely for me, like obviously the past fucking three years, I've been eating like I have dental insurance, baby. I drink like I have dental insurance because never forget my dentist literally looking at my teeth and being like, do you take long to drink things? I was like, maybe I'll take it all day. Girl, I'll get a smoothie, maybe not a smoothie, but I'll literally get a boba at 10 a.m. and finish it by 3 p.m. It's no tea, it's no shade. And she was like, girl, I can tell. - Yeah. - And these are for my slow drinkers and my slow eaters out there. The in between of our teeth, babe. - Yeah. - And then it's like, floss, okay. Like I've heard. - No, no I floss, I floss. - Literally, I'm not, I'm someone who like, when I stopped going without dental insurance, I was like, time to start flossing. - No, right, right. - Oh wow. - And I ask if it's genetic. - Oh. - 'Cause honestly, if it was like as like, cut and dry as they want to tell us that it is, I should have no teeth. - Okay, I will say though, I will say. Like yeah, I guess genetics in the way your teeth are set up. - Right. - 'Cause like for me, my teeth are set up they're really like crowded and I have like small, like, you know, I'm like freaking serving you like army wife gum. So it's just like. - It's true. - You're not like, I'm like. I mean, even if you were, I wouldn't care, but. - No, I don't care. I've accepted it. I've accepted it. - I'm sorry. - I like gum. - I'm not here. - I just have hella gum up here. So it's just like, I do. - Well, and I have hella teeth. - My teeth are literally look like wheat thins. Like they're like literal squares. They're literal. - What? - You have rectangles? - Baby, I have surfboards, so we don't, we don't even have to get into that. - I would have to get into that. - I would do a surfboard over a wheat thin. - Well, we always do one of the other, right? - Everybody would want to grow up one, but they don't have. So I don't know. Anyways, all that being said, well, okay, 'cause the dental surgeon wouldn't be like, anyways, it don't matter. I've already talked to people, so it's just. - Well, and I, and while we talking about dentistry, 'cause I do and fam, I'm supposed to, I'm like a couple of years over for a retainer baby, 'cause the tectonic plates are pretty easy. - Wait, and see, 'cause I got fucking lied and scammed too. 'Cause here's the thing, in orthodontist, I didn't visualize, I had braces, I had adult braces. The orthodontist will sell you mother fucking snake oil to get you in some fucking retainers. The dentists will sell you snake oil, 'cause I'm sure they get commission for referring people. - Well, they want you in the visible line. - Yeah, they want you in the visible line. And a visible line, I'm sure gives them some sort of something. - It must, because I literally, when I went to that super-sickening love tear, but she was getting visible, getting visible, and I was like, my Shayla, I don't have $900 to allegedly just move something to the left right now, went home to Sacramento where they don't give a fuck because they literally don't give a fuck, and he was like, "Graw, I'll just give you a metal one right now." Like, too video, I was like, fuck. - Yeah. - Still didn't do it, but like, yeah. - Well, I'm like, 'cause you can get a mouth guard that'll keep your shit in place. Anyways, long story short, I didn't visualize because of my army wife's guns. And, and I, guys, genuinely, if I want to put this, - This is literally my first time hearing of this phenomenon. - We've talked about it, the tur, oh, yeah. - We've shown it. - We've shown it. - We've shown it on here. - It's also referred to as, like, horse girl. - Horse girl. - Horse girl. - Right. - It doesn't matter, listen. I, I, sir, I have that. I need to tell you guys what, my tea is, okay? This is like a big, like, big on tea, like, telling you tea right now. So, when I was younger, I kind of just like noticed it. Like, I was like, my teeth are little squares and they're not like rectangles. - Okay. - I don't know how to describe it. Other than that, Lisa, my sister, her teeth are like, normal shaped. Like, they're like, like, look, it's genuinely just a square. Like, it doesn't go up. Like, I'm just confused because you have like, such uniform teeth. - Yeah. - And like, I was like a girl who doesn't have uniform teeth. I'm just like, curious as to what. - Sure, go to this girl to the right. Go to the one under. - Don't like, doctor shit. But like, I'm just like, the, okay. But mine aren't even as long as that. Mine are shorter than that. But like, yes, crown, okay. Like, I would want, like, mine are short. Like, see how this girl, okay, go to a perfect smile. - What about my girl, Rob? - Go, go to this black girl right here. Yes. See how hers, like, when she smiles, her lip cover, like hits the top of her teeth. Mine go like up, like, look. - I just personally would be very, and again, which is a personal insecurity I have. - Yeah, totally important. - If you have that, you're not, go to the left. - This person right here, for example. - Okay. - See how their teeth are square at the top. - Yeah. - And then like, in the bottom, they got, they're a little longer. - Okay. - 'Cause they shaved the gums up. - Yes. Here's the thing. So when I got in physical line, 'cause that's what they told, 'cause what I just wanted was to get my gums lasered. That is it. I just wanted to get my gums lasered. So I have taller teeth up here. - Okay. - And with that being said, if you see old pictures of me from like, dead ass, like, I don't know, like, 2017, 2016, when I was in high school, I had a really small upper lip already. I just did. Not a big deal. That's, who cares? But it definitely made more gums show, 'cause I had a smaller upper lip. Like, my should be like, flipping in Bootsie. So, got like a syringe a juvederm, handled that. Yeah, that's what it is. Then, I was like, well, can I just want my shit like longer? So I went to the fucking ortho. They're like, yeah, we just need to push your teeth forward. And once we do that, then we can laser your gums. I was like, all right, cool. Did in this line for fucking a year and some change. Like a year, it was pretty short and had braces for a little stint of that time. Then, lasered my gums barely even a fucking little. But way better than like what they were before. Okay, still don't really fuck with my teeth like that, but like whatever who cares. Say la vie, be who you are for your pride. See this new dentist, and I was like telling her the tea and I was like, yeah, girl, like, I just like, don't fuck with this up here. She was like, just asking. She was like, is there anything you don't like about your smile? And she was like, oh, well, yeah, we could just take you to a dental surgeon and they'll just do it for you. So you're saying I didn't even fucking have in this line for what? My teeth were already like mad straight, low key. They, I had like three brackets on my shirt. - Maybe she can do it 'cause it's invisaligned. - No, 'cause she was saying if the real tea, 'cause I stopped wearing my invisaligned retainer, never gave a fuck. These bottom teeth need to be pulled forward. - Not need to, but like if they get pulled forward, it would be like for the better of like, longevity teeth health and stuff. - Yeah, that's me too. Nothing to do with the top teeth. Like, the I could have just skipped all that pocketed like the thousands of dollars I spent on invisaligned and just like handled it with gangster rap. Long story short, and orthodontist will tell you, you need braces so that you can like, I don't know, like be able to like swim underwater for five minutes, but that's all I gotta say about the take care of yourselves you guys and listen. As someone who learned the harder way, the harder way, like, they don't need to be like that and it's just like, if there's that thing you've been ignoring, if there's that thing that you've just been acting like it's not happening, eh, maybe go like, deal with that thing. - Yeah. - So it doesn't turn into like a $5,600. - Yeah, it's like the vibe of you gotta get it done - You just have to handle it. And I saw this TikTok, that was like, if you wanna see like, you know, like extreme changes happen and like you wanna see like, I don't know, just like you're like, start like moving through things and growing as a person, like start handling all the things that you like ignore. And I was like, I don't know, I feel like I've really been leaning into that mantra this year. - Yeah, totally. - And it feels good to like, now, eh, I got everything squared away, set away, did the IRS lose two of my checks? - Yes, did I have to pay $60 to put a stop to those checks? Yes, so that was swaggy and awesome and like loved when they did that. So yeah, that's just like a little bit about Papa. - Sorry to hear that. That's okay. - So if I'm like smiling like this and like, my shit's over, no, they're great. We all have our things. And like again, I'm like, if it never gets taking it like, you know, if my gums say like this for the rest of my life, eh, when they start receding, when I just think it's better than getting like a bus down veneer. I'll never get a veneer. Okay. Unless like, I, you know, like, use my brain to do what you can do to support you. No. Well, the thing is, I want to get veneers. I would just probably laser them more. Well, because you know, well, and when we were in Austin, we were watching the fucking Oscars. And as you all know, everybody's getting like literally like the onion yank, like literally like, yank, they shit so crazy that like, there's like a little like, nub that's like hair tied under their wig kind of vibe, which like honestly, hey, power two, power two in the sense of like personal autonomy, like, I couldn't, I genuinely, I couldn't even imagine what it's like to be like under microscript that fierce and like to have to do all these things and have people come in your appearance. Like, if you need to get the onion yank, like, talk yo shit, there's a part of me, there's a part of me that yearns for when everyone had like, old faces. Yeah. When everyone just like looked like people, or like I saw this tick talk that was talking about, I already told you guys this, but I was, I saw this tick talk that was talking about how like now the expectation for actors is to also be like super models and to have like model faces instead of like in the 2000s when like bitches would literally just be like actors. And it'd be like, yeah, grow like, you know, like show up to the red carpet and like a tank and like a belt and like, and handle it and like a fresh like red boxed eye and like handle it. And something about me like, you're, yeah, because the girls are yank, Tina, yanked, yanked moment. And that's a thing. I think that I will say as someone who like, you know, has traveled and lived outside of like the traditional beauty standards that uphold society, you know what I mean? I will say that like I think, yeah, it's just one of those things that like, there's things that you have to just fucking make peace with like in the most serious of ways. Like I like, I don't know, I talked to my friends about this like often and like just like, you know, people close to me and stuff, but like dead ass. If you guys look at pictures of me when I was like a kiddo, like I've just always been like a cute little like thick girl. And like even when I was like a kid, like I was just like, the key, like, the key Simmons and like God forbid you were fucking you, you were one pound off in the early 2000s. You know, I caught hell, okay? And then on top of that, God forbid you had stretch marks and God forbid you had acne and I had like all three. So that was like swaggy and awesome. But because of that, I feel like I just hit a place very fucking young and early because it's just one of those things where like, if you think that these things are attainable and achievable and like, you know, to look like, again, like if there's someone you see online or someone that you see and then that and the thought crosses your mind. It happens all the time. It's human nature. It's just a society we live in. Yeah. But the thought crosses your mind and like, I want to look like that. Take that thought right there. Take it and literally take it outside of yourself and like, really look at it because genuinely I'm telling you this now, I got my period in fourth grade. Therefore I started puberty insanely young. My mom, my mom, if you see my mom, she's 4, 11, literally 90 pounds, like she's tiny mini from the Philippines, like her and I, you know what I mean? And then my dad was dead ass, like six, three, like big, like I need a big boy, like, you know what I mean? So it's just like that cross section. Hey, I don't know. I don't know. So with that being said, I feel like, you know, I had stretch marks really young. I had like boobs already and like fifth, fourth grade, like I was just going through puberty real young and I was getting like stretch marks and stuff. And I think that like, it could be easy for me to like, I don't know, like I just have never known what my body looks like without stretch marks. I've never known what my body's not looked like, not plus size, like it's just like who I am. And I think like, and yeah, like I take care of myself and like, you know, I do the things and I'm going to the dentist. But like I think the sooner that you accept what you look like and like how just what you look like period, that, that is the sentence, what as soon as you accept what you look like and like all of those things, life gets so fucking good because it just the mental pressure of like trying to look like something, like keep up with something, I've made peace with the fact that like, Hey, I might not look like X, Y and Z, but I look like me and she's good and she's pretty and she's per and she's T and like, she's me. And like then from there, you can decide what and why you want to change things about yourself. Like for me, you know, hey, I run lip injections. I like don't really get Botox, but I have in the past and like, yo, I've done a vizeline and got my teeth strained out. And then like then you can kind of like decide why and what's important and why you want to do it. But I think if it's coming from this place of like, the end result is to look like X, Y, Y, I'm just letting you know right now the fruit of that will be frivolous. It's not going to come down to anything. And then like, you know, that can lead into so many different conversations about so many different things. But like, yeah, I was like, we were talking about it when we were watching the Oscars and I'm like, bro, it's just like how like, you know what I mean? It's just like, it's so hard. Like, yeah, I can't even blame someone at 30 years old wanting to fucking get their shit yanked back and get a fucking facelift already. If every day like, because I'm like, you know, people already like on our very small degree, like we'll see tick talks about us, we'll see like videos and comment sections about us. And like, people say shit about us, like people, you know, like good things, bad things, like there's comments that people make that like, I'm not even looking for. Like people are not even tagging us in these videos, they're just like talking very freely. And it's like that commentary in and of itself is already like just noise that has to like shut the fuck up. Like, I can't allow what people say what they like, what they don't like about us, the podcasts, whatever the case may be, affect how we run our ship because then we're not being true to ourselves and we're not for everyone. We're not for everyone. We know that we know that we're not for everyone. That's why we love us. That's why if you love us, you love us and if you don't, you don't like period. Acceptance of that. If I was someone who literally, when I went to the grocery store and there was just pictures of me, if I was like, if people altered my photos for fucking clickbait, if people were like the dysmorphia that like you could only imagine to experience on a scale like outside of your control. And like the actual like Tibetan monk, you would have to be and maybe still like, I don't know if that would be enough to like, outrun kind of the cares of like what people have to say about you. Yeah. I mean, because those things are all like even just like the, even just because what really made me notice was like when we were watching the Oscars, like, not even in a way of like judgment and genuinely just like our conversation. I feel like the conversation wasn't even like, oh, that makeup, like it was like, okay, your work is like, oh, her works tea, oh, her works like tea, like it was like, oh, and so that becoming maybe like a mirror to like the society that we're living in right now where it's like these expectations of people are fucking beyond like the idea that just, and that's what I'm saying, like it to that conversation, like it is not even like personal shade. Yeah. Like girl, you go get show one, two, like the girls got they won two, like they got their one two. And there's a new doctor on the scene too, because he's, he's going around and it's like, like it's not even like a yank, it's like bitch, yank, you know what I'm saying? But like it's not even shades each person. It's just like, I think in kind of like a zoomed out sense, like when we were like talking about it and then halfway through, I feel like we got sent in, like we were like, wait, oh, sorry, everybody yanked, like, oh, sorry, everybody yank, like that's crazy. It is like a mirror of arguably, like it's a mirror of our time, like everybody having to like hit these insane. And again, like I always think about that TikTok because it is like ultimately the idea of like serving these like fierce looks and being so gorgeous is not inherently like a responsibility of an actor. Yeah. Like if you want to talk about like artistry, it's like at what point now, maybe like you would feel like this or like even when we like talk about acting when I think about acting, I'm like, oh, the idea that if you wanted to act and maybe be like quote unquote successful and like a mainstream or like a standard sense, like there's this now, there's like this caveat of like you do have to take on like a certain visibility or you have to take on a certain like standard for some reason, which like inherently has nothing to do with that art form. Other than I don't know if you plan like some like bad thing like on a movie or something. It's like why like the girls are also like frozen, like, which is create, it kind of just like starts to, I don't know. So anyway, the sentience gaining of being like, oh, this is fully just like a mirror of like our time because I think that that like eats itself where it's like we comment so much as a society on like people's looks on like on their looks head to toe, baby looks in the face, looks in the hair, then it's like, what about the wig, then it's like, what about the dress, what about the shoes, like the commentary is so fierce that like. Inevitably here comes this like crazy pendulum swing where like maybe like Chris Jenner look younger than me. Yeah. Like she really do. No, and that yank is something fierce. Yeah, let's Chris and Kim look the same. Well, it's like when they the same age is like fuck like y'all some kind of sister. Yeah, it's just like like in a very like removed sense like outside of you know these people it personally and like whatever you know whatever decision they made to do those things period like love autonomous and obviously always is but like it is kind of crazy. No, it's just like it definitely just dags like it just it gags like girls are up there porcelain crown. Yeah, it's porcelain crown. They paid porcelain crown money because yes, and that's what I'm saying like I I guess I like that's where we land the plane on it is just like it's so important as like that is just the time of society that we're in. Yeah, right where it's just like we're kind of in that era where like looks are back baby like where it looks girl they serious about. Yeah, like there's BPE looks they're serious about like you know all the things like whatever and that is why for you the diva the person who's like listening to us talk right now. Like for you and for me and for me and for everyone in the room and beyond. Look at you and be like this is what I look like period. Yeah, and it really all comes down to genuinely like the old testament which really is like fucking the noise because the full circle the full circle come around of even just like when you remember and like remove yourself from what feels like this super personal very involved very like this visceral feeling of just living our lives and obviously like only having our perspective. So like of course everything feels like it's the only thing that's ever existed. This is the only life like it's so important because it is even just bringing it back to the top maybe like literally got out the states for seven days and I was like I haven't thought about 70% of the things I thought mattered. Yeah, genuinely seven the grinds the power the staying hungry the devouring literally none of those when there was no noise like came to me in a dream. Yeah, nothing coming like guys like I need to do like the stinky like on TikTok like right now like ain't none of that crossed my frontal cortex and all to that point it's like when we sit with ourselves and we're literally like baby it's silent like me and four walls kind of vibe like do I care? No. Or do I? Or do you? Maybe. Yes. But then it's your decision. Then it's yours. Yeah. Sidel pressure. It's not yeah these things. It's like a very personal choice that you made and at the end of the day if you can sit with yourself and make these choices to do things get things done whatever all the case may be whatever you're trying to like do with your one two. If it comes from ye and not the then it's like it's untouched. It's literally like you're the goal. I'm like I'm working on that too right along. No girl. Yeah. Literally had trust. Well, I'm like after like literally talking to like the porcelain princess. I was like I was just like literally because I was just like let me focus on what matters. Mama Jacob Elordie clip. Whoa, she brings up Jacob Elordie first time. Jacob Elordie clip though of him talking about like they were asking about socials and he was like paraphrasing very very chopped. But he in essence was like I don't even I don't do socials because like I don't even know if like outside of what I do. If like that's like something I can take on and I literally was like Mr. Jacob. Come here. Let me go like this on you. That we need to listen. Yes. Because maybe it's noise. It's a lot it's noisy as four. It's noisy as four. Everything's so loud. And like this is so annoying. And like this is the last thing I'm going to say on that is like you know I think also with our show specifically like the brand of show that we have because we were at a podcast awards and podcasting so expensive. Come see us in the Patreon. Not even to do too much but there is just a key we need to have. There's like part of the clip that I'm just like yeah there's more on this out of 11 and this conversation is about to get so much more deeper and like we're about to like talk about some shit. Also guys we have a live stream that we're doing. Oh yeah today today today it's literally some key today at four p.m. Pacific standard time. Four p.m. Pacific standard. We're going to be watching some age of attraction which I also want to talk about today but we don't have time but I'm just like because you all also need to get your butts popped. But we're probably going to do some age of attraction like watch throughs and some will we are for sure this Wednesday's live stream we are going to be doing that. Girls talking about the future. We are we are going to be doing that so just putting that on your radar if you want to come join us we'll have the link and where you can watch it and everything down below four p.m. Pacific time. With that being said back to what I was saying about us podcasting as a whole and who we are as podcasters and a podcast. And if you're thinking about having a podcast or think you're doing anything fucking ever period. Yeah have you on that. There's a couple things you need to make peace with and I'm telling you what they are now. Amaya knows what these things are and probably has some of her own but it's very personal. Yes I like when you decide to put anything online there's going to first off we live in fucking commentary culture we you know we talk about it we give our opinions online if we have a podcast it's kind of like part of what we do with that being said there will be people who perceive you one way there will be people who may watch your content listen to your content and be like I don't understand you know what our number one other fucking outsider tease comment is those girls make no sense to me there are people out there who genuinely believe we make zero sense who literally watch our fucking podcast and just sit there confused as fuck period that makes perfect sense I too my number one common in life before I met Maya I swear to mother fucking God I would talk and people would genuinely look me dead square in my two fucking own and say I have no idea what you just said yeah I also got that many times I would be talking to someone and they would look confused and then their friend would be like no she just said this that one listen like that one no that's so real no inside where literally at our photo shoot when we like really got a key yeah I was like I've never met someone yes who literally is just like Maya and I we talked and I was like you're speaking my English the King's English though like just so crazy so I'm just telling you guys that like there's a lot of noise and there's a lot of things that people will say they'll be like well you know you're not an intellectual you're not this you're not that like hey I didn't fucking finish college I'm not saying I'm a fucking scholar I'm not saying I'm a fucking intellectual but that doesn't mean I don't get a like say shit and talk my shit oh yeah just don't watch it just don't watch it if you don't like it don't watch it it's not for you and when you're making something and when you're doing something it's not gonna be for everyone not everyone's gonna understand it not everyone's gonna like it but that shouldn't keep you from doing the thing you want to do because if I listen to everyone saying I don't understand her okay well they don't understand me so I'm not gonna talk what now that makes no fucking sense like you know a yes that's why we have a whole community of you guys and we love you but I just feel like I was like deep in thought about that and kind of had to like reset my vibe because I feel like every now and again you know there'll just be like some videos percolating circulating and like you get caught up in a comment section where people are like talking about you like you couldn't possibly be in the comment section with them so it's just like one of those things where I'm just like hey it's a reminder for me it's a reminder for you guys and also it's just like don't let people tell you like because you're not like this and you speak like this and you fucking went to Harvard and like did all the shit you know what I mean and the elitist shit no shade it's fucking elitist sorry like if that's what you want there's there's that kind of content but I'm just like if you want two girls sitting on a chair fucking king about some shit we're not about to like give you fucking like the New York Times every week well yeah yeah yeah that's all that's all no and that's real and also just you know I listen I'm on the way to a vibrant reset so I'm like that's why I'm losing here like writing shit down but yeah that heavy on that and also heavy on just I think last thing I'll see on this is like also don't let people tell you who you are yes bro and that call it's from like I literally just like through that outside the house then close the door because I'm currently not doing that and that's why I don't read comments I I try not to participate in that because I the biggest thing that I've learned about myself which is so interesting because I feel like I've always been you know on some only childhood I've always felt like I had a very strong sense of self a very strong understanding of myself but like ever since doing this and ever since you know kind of inadvertently like obviously we knew it's like a part of it but like experiencing is something completely different of like just being commented on or like being part of conversation or like you know just you know the the the culture that we live in right now very that I'm really Realizing like number one thing that I'm realizing and once I handle this like I'm about a turn in to porcelain Like I'm gonna turn to porcelain and like ascend to the heavens because my my time here will be done type shit is like Learning to Not let people like not let commons and things Change my opinion of myself. Yeah, that's the tea where I'm like when I get that down bitch You won't be able to read me because often like the like people like common Something and even though I know it's not true about myself. I'll listen. Yeah, it's like what the fuck is that about? Oh literally same and like Same I've had I mean just same like I've literally like again Like I didn't go to college. I didn't finish school like I went to college for a little bit But I didn't like finish school and like all have people literally be like you sound dumb Okay Period and like they could be like you know I feel like there was this whole discourse for a second about like more people need to finish school and go to school Yeah, period. You know what if schools for you go to school Like if that is your calling in life and you feel called to go to school But I'm just like letting you know It's like not an option for everyone also schools like fucking expense 100% so it's just like sometimes like you might not even Know but you did ask out an elitist this fuck like you can't tell people they can't do some shit because they didn't like go to school Yeah, sorry. Sorry. Yeah With that being said I agree with that like I think there's a lot of things that like people say and can't say and it's so fucking easy to literally be like Wait, is that true? Yeah, I mean we're also like fully in discourse culture where it's like people will literally be like This is who they are they are a bad person because one some people do some really bad shit But like you know, I'm like the people will literally be like because of this isn't this this means that they're like selfish They're this or this and this and like like actual narratives like character profiles. Yes character profiles when it's like when we like unblack mirror our shit it's like nobody I mean like Nobody is showing up to the internet in their completed form. There's just no and that's why I be so killer heroes type shit because everything That somebody else means to me Is fully just me. Yeah, it's fully what I'm perceiving layer. It's fully like what I'm projecting on these people So it's like even though I participate and I and I also want to stop doing this again I'm in a reboot era right now, but even when I participate in the two-hour documentary the two-hour YouTube documentary about a take talk I never heard about Can I assume that I know their character? Yeah, can I assume that they know them? Do I feel justified in making comments about who they are as a person after the two hours? I do be feeling like But it's like just that whole like it eats itself, you know what I mean like now we're in a position where we're like We are consumers, but we're also like you know creative creators and people who like you know like King with our community and it's like all the bells and whistles that come with us sometimes. I'm low-key like whoa Yeah, it's just that fine line of like the experience of like you know It's a very fine line, but I think like at the end of the day when it comes to security within self Yeah, it's like strap that in tight mom. Yeah, and it's a it's a hard ride y'all And listen it's the hardest it's the hardest ride and like I definitely have like a lot of thoughts about it as well As someone who's literally been doing this and it's like what fucking 2223 So it's just like I feel like I've had a long time to like cook on some shit Yeah, but like even now in this era It's a lot of new shit that I'm facing in a different way that I'm like hmm Still processing shit. Yeah. No. I'm having on still processing shit like I literally I have I feel that I will be born again in the next couple of weeks Yeah, that happens, but Anyway, all that to say that like, you know You can do anything that you want to do and like all these things are worth it when it just means that we get like the luxury and the privilege of Like showing up on the pink carpet and that's what carpet and that's why I'm like genuinely anything outside of this right here and Anything outside of someone who like quite literally participates in our community. I'm like. I don't give a fuck, bro No, and that's tea like that's the real tea the real tea is at the end of the day Like when you guys come to us on some like genuine feedback shit like You're not close enough to the camera or You know what I mean? Yeah, I'm like and we're working on that and we're working on that But like we're more attuned to listen to things versus like someone who tuned in for like 30 seconds from like a TikTok clip and it's just like Well, she's done. I'm like, okay. Well. Yeah. I guess I More on that out of fucking 11 With that being said, we'll do our neighborhood watches. Oh, yeah, and then come key with us on yeah, yeah, yeah, on the pay tree and Yeah, my neighborhood watches my neighborhood watches meditating like genuinely. It's meditating cuz I've been like off my mindfulness For the for honestly probably like six or seven months. Just ever so well and ever since like everything just you know my life shifted into a new thing and I'm I'm Wow, like what one meditation will do genuine right need to keep that up but like it Just you know when the girls they drink water touch grass and meditate like they were not Lying and when I get this brick in the mail I'm genuinely going to put my phone on the brick and then you'll I go here You know where the best place to leave your brick is in the car. Yeah, I want to get to I was like because when I cuz leaving it in the car and I know the obstacles I have to get through to get to my car. Yeah, especially And when I tell you I'm not going in the middle of the night, mama. Yeah I want to get to I want to get one for my car so I can tap it before I go out for like you know keys with the girls and lunch and shit And then I want to get one for my I just to that point. I need to think of like how like I might put it in a bush or something Like I need to think maybe I'll put in the mailbox Like I need to think of something that's like still like it's doing too much. Well, that's what I'm saying for me Once I'm inside my house and I have to get in me car I and once it hits nighttime too. I'm not getting in my car It's just hard because like my parking been so trash sometimes that I'm like Well, what if I actually need my phone then I got to walk the block Like it's not blocking out your text messages in email. Well, I know, but you know our job, bro Like that's a whole other thing like well, that's what I mean like yeah Sometimes you do have to like post or whatever, but I'm like in I'm saying like I Will put my shit dead ass in the car. Yeah, like at night type shit. No that yes Like yes, got I'm trying to go when we go see, but I'm trying to get in like a nasty like I'm genuinely like all I need on my phone is YouTube Everything else y'all lie into me. Y'all see well, we're we also peruse different platforms to Like YouTube for me is the worst one out of them all well because see when I'm on YouTube bra Well, I'm fixing my algorithm now. I'm off that well because I blocked all the true crime accounts getting to that I guys I'm off. I'm off my true crime shit I need to take care of our subconscious like genuinely guys like I just never underestimate the power of your subconscious Like I hate to be like that, but it's so true because I'll really sit there and be like like the other day I've been watching too much true crime because it just hasn't been there at the passive viewing you know what I'm saying The other day I did turn on a Hulu documentary that just came out Sad so sad and because I wasn't in my like rotted true crime shit. That shit shook me like I literally watched it And I was like why the fuck would I watch that? Yeah, why the fuck would I watch that for fun? Yeah, or put seed That's the problem is like the the There's a hole well, and we can talk about that on page on two, but but for fun. I just mean in passive Yeah, I'm not obviously watching it like whoa, but I just like even just like the passing of like I want to and I want to know This I'm just turn it on while I'm doing dishes and it's about murder. Yeah, and it's about murder What the fuck? No, let's talk about it because what the fucking like honestly death to true crime, but that's a whole other thing Yeah, yeah, I'm on that wave right now like honestly. I'm off that shit, bro I'm not bad. I'm like that's why I'd be walking to my car with like a fucking shark Walking to my go. Well, why won't go to my car in the middle of the night of the girl? To walk to my car with a fucking musket like It's fucked up, bro. It's fucked up Girl like ten this subconscious garden y'all just tend it just make sure you're checking it on her, okay? Who am I shouting? All right. I'm shouting out girl sweet voice Okay, love. Uh, she's everything. I need her to literally be like She's so everything and she just she has a song on TikTok right now that I don't think's out I'm in a little video to it like, you know, like doing a little one-two But with that being said it was like the She used like Joni Mitchell's Joni Mitchell song under it anyways her voice is so fucking good and she's everything and like she's so gorgeous and perfect and like Loving you diva and wishing you all the success in the world because genuinely your voice is in fact so sweet. Goodbye I love you guys so we're gonna be on patreon right now continuing this conversation because you have a lot to say come to the patreon or You can sign up at tmg and then get all of us in a bus down bundle.
