The NFL season is defined by unpredictability, resilience, and dramatic comebacks, with several teams emerging as strong contenders. The Pittsburgh Steelers stand out with a dominant run game, young offensive line, and defensive excellence, showing promise for a deep playoff run. The Detroit Lions made a stunning fourth-quarter comeback against the Vikings, proving their offensive and defensive grit is fully back. The Denver Broncos continue to win close, one-score games, showcasing a fourth-quarter magic that has led to 15 straight such wins—highlighting their ability to perform under pressure. Meanwhile, the Tampa Bay Buccaneers maintain a "pound the rock" strategy, running the ball effectively despite adverse weather. The Jacksonville Jaguars dominate the Colts with a strong, disciplined performance, signaling a potential rise as a top AFC team. The trade deadline looms large, with teams actively targeting key players like Jonathan Taylor and Josh Downs, signaling a cultural reset in franchise strategies. A growing trend in football is the shift toward run-heavy offenses as defenses adjust, emphasizing physicality and sustained execution over deep passing. These developments point to a season where resilience, adaptability, and physicality will define success—making the path to the Super Bowl more competitive and unpredictable than ever.
Hello beautiful people and welcome to another magical over-reaction Monday November 2nd, 2026. This book's program begins right now. Football is absurd in AJ. We just wrapped up week eight of the NFL season already. That's AJ Hawk. It's an honor to be alongside you on this glorious over-reaction Monday AJ. Football continues to deliver and this Sunday was jam-packed with electricity, comebacks, close games, and magic. I think the NFL is throwing what we like to say. He, AJ Hawk. Yeah, I would say it is. I think like we I say every week on here is very unpredictable. I think you never really know what's going to happen weekend and week out. But there are a couple teams I feel like might be kind of solidifying what their identity might be. Big conversation this week is going to be who's great at football, you know, because the CFP has their first rankings coming out tomorrow night. Which college team is great? There's a bunch of good teams. Who's great? Is anybody great? How many teams in a big tenor good now that Ohio state? Oh, oh, no shame. And what's your AD doing? What's going on with the AD and Lincoln Riley after the game? He's doing no. After games, I give both sides, I give him some leeway after a game, whether you win or lose a motions run high, I get it. I understand it. Yeah, I like the competitors. You know, I like the competitors, the gladiators in the moment, the AD, of course, and like the head coach. Yeah, I like that. I like that. People that love their team, people that love the team. Exactly. I love sports so much that can happen and everybody's like, yeah, it happened. Let's just keep it moving. Everything's all right. Let's do that. And we should. But in college football, we have no idea. Like we have no idea. Miami, obviously undefeated phenomenal team. North Carolina just puts up over 35 points. So it's like, are they a team that's going to win a championship? I think we have a lot of question marks there. And then in the NFL, we have no idea. We know a couple of teams that are absolute shite, though. Let's go to the toxic table at Boston Conner and at Thai Schmidt. Conman, Patriots, not shite at all. But boy, I thought against their dolphins, without that thing started. The Patriots might have found themselves in the shite division. Instead, second half explosion. Drake May is exactly who we thought he was going to be. Conman. Yeah, exactly. Drake may just put on this Superman cape, if you will. And you know, this deep bottle cow Williams kind of got it going in the second half. It was one of those weird games. You know, division games to start our odd because, you know, you're so familiar with each other, but pouring down rain from start to finish. They're worried this game might take seven hours. That play right there from Drake May, the fake option pitch. I mean, that was just euphoric to watch something like that to have a quarterback that you root for, having that ability to kind of escape and be mobile and score touchdowns. And then boom, pop Douglas. I mean, the Patriots were without AJ Brown, Romeo Dobbs, Mac Holland, whose wide receiver three. And then Hunter Henry, who's Drake May's basically favorite target got hurt in the first half. So they were depleted. And then they had guys stepping up. It was a wonderful win, especially down there in Miami, where it's always difficult to play for the Patriots. Yeah, I thought it was going to be another problematic AFC East pro South Florida issue for the New England Patriots. But the Patriots do what the Patriots have done, I guess, which is just never lose back to back games with Mike Veribull in town. It's absurd. The Patriot way is one of resiliency grit in Veribull is able to get it back in there. McDaniels and Drake May being able to turn on the switch after a couple weeks to be an ass is obviously a beautiful thing. Congratulations to the Mass Halls and the people who support the New England Patriots because I don't think you guys are going to suck for the next 20 years. I mean, Drake May, legitimately, Connor, how old's Drake May? Drake May is 24 years old. And just to piggyback off your point, Krishen Gonzalez, who's, you know, cornerback one top three. If not one, he's about 25 years old as well. And how old is Aaron Rogers who's playing pretty good right now? He's 42. So yeah, by the time Drake May is 42, that might be the new 30. That's 18 years from now. So the next two decades, we got to worry about these guys and this guy in particular, Drake May, leading the New England Patriots. That's just one of the teams. I just mentioned Aaron Rogers. Let's go to one half of the hammer. God. Cowboys AP tone. Hey. Hey, look for you guys. Wow. Happy for you, bro. I, uh, that had to feel pretty good watching that thing unfold there. And Aaron Rogers, I watched him walk into the stadium. And it was next to the Acresher sign. And it just felt like he was so comfortable being a Pittsburgh stealer. And, you know, obviously his name is gonna ring synonymous with the Green Bay Packers and the New York Jets chapter of his career is going to be talked about because how loud it was and he's going to be a first-bound Hall of Famer and everything like that. Feels like he's got a lot of pride in being a Pittsburgh stealer. And I know this is the last go around, but it feels like everything that's kind of around. We got introduced last, obviously. He's the quarterback that's going to happen. Place one crazy for him. Offense looks good. DK Metcalf can't really do what we thought DK Metcalf was going to do. Let's assume that turns on or they get aggressive at the trade deadline. But with the way the defense operates, which yesterday they were hunting everywhere. And with Aaron Rogers in his offense, having some explosivity, having a 350 pounder who's able to move in space and not get tackled like this and kind of tiptoe ballet down the sideline. It's like, "Dowdo's a stud." Jalen Warren can get it done both seven his best year. Once you guys find a deep threat, it's like your offense is going to be complete. Your offense aligned was on AQ's top five last week. I mean, is this the year for the Pittsburgh Steelers? I saw the quote tweet that you put out about when you've had this type of success this early in a season in the past and what happens. But tone, here we go. Steelers. Here we go. Is Pittsburgh going to the Super Bowl? Here we go. It's really those questions right now. Is it not tone? Yeah, I'm really starting to get that feeling. What you mentioned there, the quote tweet starting six and two, they've won the Super Bowl three times after starting six and two. So 50% of the time that they've won the Super Bowl, they've started six and two. And they're doing it the way that like Steelers fans love. They are running the football. They're number one in EPA running the football, which I know. AJ loves that stat number three in yards per rush. Jalen Warren is number two in the NFL in yards from scrimmage. So they're getting it done on the ground on the offensive side of the ball. They're blocking their offensive line is young. Their oldest offensive lineman is 27 and they are loaded with first round picks on the offensive line. They are finally jelling. And then the defense finally again is stopping the run. They are, you know, number one PFF stop in the run top five and every other stopping the run statistic. The D line is playing unbelievable TJ watt leads league in sack. So we are running the football. We are stopping the run and then taking shots when we need to. And yes, DK had a had a drop on a deep one. You know, say we need to figure that out. You know, we're doing goal on fights with DK that hasn't worked a ton there. I don't know why we're obsessed with that. Well, once we get that figured out, I am, I am believing, brother. As you should, because it looks a lot like the same on the defensive side. And DK's got to get that figured out, obviously. And we assume he will. Yeah. He will. He will. He will. He will. He will. We seen him. He's going to get figured out. Yeah. Yeah. Mike says Mike. He came back at. Yeah, he's DK McCaff. We assume he'll be able to figure out how to catch a ball. But on defense aside, and obviously a lot of them were super motivated because of what verse was saying last week, but oh, Mom, steel curtain is back eight sacks versus the Browns, AJ. That is exactly what the Pittsburgh Steelers have always been whenever they're at their absolute best. The boys were hunting yesterday, AJ. Yeah, it feels like they were playing with a little extra motivation. I know verse what his comments can do that too. And it is funny to think of sometimes like, hey, these guys getting paid all this money. We know what's on the line every single day, but like a couple comments from the other team in a heated rivalry. It can't have an impact on a game at times. I think we saw that happen here with the Steelers Browns. I think it's just cool to see like a real deal NFL rivalry play out. And I think the Pittsburgh Cleveland rivalry is a live and well and we'll continue to go for a long time. Yeah. And Mike McCarthy, the other guy does is win. Isn't it crazy? I mean, you you go back to the Dallas Cowboys, which we're going to talk about here in a second. Oh man. Oh heartbreak. It's getting a lot out there. Yeah, I mean, it's getting a lot. Remember, they were running sprints on the run of court. They dominate camp. Remember, all we did was talk about how the Cowboys were dominating everybody in training camp. But all Mike McCarthy did is win. Green Bay, he would win with the Dallas Cowboys. He'd win. Now the playoff success, not as much as everybody had wanted, but the guy could win games. He's gone immediately into a culture that was very stale and stagnant. Mike Tomlin had did an incredible job, never losing season. We love him on television too. He is fantastic in what he's doing right now. We appreciate him contributing so much. But it felt like that building was running the same pace for like a decade. Here, this is what we're doing. This is what we're doing. We're going to inevitably not and we're going to falter. We're going to make it to play us. We're going to get blown out. Like, there's just so many different factors that go into being able to get to a Super Bowl, a fresh mindset in a building can certainly help. In Mike McCarthy, for whatever reason, I don't know if it's because he's a he sounds the way he sounds with the interaction because he looks the way he looks because the history he has with him on the people he's worked with, he gets into buildings and he wins. He literally just wins. And I love to see that forum, especially in his hometown and him for Aaron AJ going into his final season. He was getting ice cream with the boys. Obviously, we saw training camp there, incredibly tight. It feels like he loves where he's at right now. You would know a lot better than us. Obviously, you're close to him than any of us would be or anybody that's on a microphone. But I think he loves where he's at right now. And I think that can do a lot for Aaron Rodgers, especially as he tries to ride off into the sunset here. No question. I think with like we all know, like with age brings perspective on things, you look at things a little differently when you're 40 than you did when you were 25. And I just I spent nine years with the Green Bay Packers and Aaron, he got there a year before I did and from the
jump like I was not well versed on the Pittsburgh culture and everything all the the inser speak and everything I had friends from Pittsburgh and all that but I became aware of it because of Mike McCarthy because of how Aaron would kind of I guess accentuate anything that Mike would say with his Pittsburgh accent or telling stories about when he's driving down the road there's dad back in the day at the bar coming home from the bar that they managed or whatever all those things Aaron would make a bigger deal than they actually weren't it was I think he he has like a a reverence for everything that Pittsburgh is and I think it's cool that he's there and he's he's winning games because he feels the love from the fans as well Pittsburgh Steelers saying we are still the Steelers and they love the city and I like the fact that they're trying to bring this rivalry with the bronze all the way back to a fever pitch the city also loves that you pound the bronze at home there's always going to be a celebration of Pittsburgh now let's go to a place that celebrate are the Arizona Cardinals for real Garment you sitting on that bench the last couple weeks you know at the beginning of the season they're worried about Jacobi Berset Steel obviously we all have massive amounts of respect for Jacobi Berset we appreciate Jacobi Berset Garter Menshu made the Pro Bowl in almost one AFC South for the Indianapolis Colts like three years ago okay Garter Menshu's this incredible story this incredible football lore how we operate how he acts how his brain works how he dresses you name it Garter Menshu is a he's a folklore I mean that is literally what he is in the football world but he knows your offense he can execute every play you need and the boys always rally around him and now cheers an absolute stud obviously the Jeremiah love injuries and injuries are going to be something that we have to monitor for his entire career as a running back we hope he can stay because he's explosive and magnetic but Garter Menshu being the guy from Michael the floor to pull off and do something that was one one hundred and forty seven in one in the past in situations twenty seven seventeen there just above the two minute warning there Dallas Cowboys are up against the lowly Arizona Cardinals and they come back and win that or the Cardinals gonna make the playoffs you know the Cowboys in a full fire say I mean it is an absurd outcome a magical game and to do this in Jerry World I think just adds to the incredible story of Garter Menshu AJ yeah and also like they continue to show Jerry during when all the things start to collapse and bad things happen to the Dallas Cowboys you're showing Jerry now I'm not sure there's obviously there's a clip of him you know jumping out of the sweet from a couple weeks ago that keeps getting recycled out there now we we're pretty sure that that was not real yeah that was not ever real right obviously that'll be good to go on if it was real and he survived good credit to you Jerry it's amazing but uh yeah I just think Gardner Menshu like they even mentioned on the broadcast like the the the magic that Gardner Menshu can bring it like you saw it all just like kept building and building and all the sudden the Cowboys have the the door kind of opened up when you missed an extra point that would have put them up up one point like okay here we go Cowboys let's do this and then boom Cardinals are too much and they still find a way to get a win huge story and there's a top five headlines that we need to cover but before that I need to show you where I am I'm here at Lumen Field in Seattle Washington this place is gorgeous you look at that building right there it was literally created for sound right off the Puget Sound also home of the Seattle Saunders Seattle Seahawks home of the 12th man this is a beautiful beautiful piece of architecture you know whenever you talk about home field advantage you can wonder what does that mean is that mean the guys get stay in a hotel does that mean their home fans are there so they don't get chirped as much no it means they built this place to be slide straight up then they put roofs on top of this thing okay so the noise goes so one yell is three yells I've only had a chance to experience it one time I got invited out here by Herbie when we had a college for a game day out in a west coast and it's Thursday night crew is here so I got to sit in the booth with him and out Michaels that was an experience I was also watching how Michael's work to get steak at half time I mean it was first class but what you realize is this place is built to be loud you hear a yell bouncing off of your booth and then on to the other side so honored to be here pumped to be here and it's a huge one here tonight as the bears come to town I've seen some bears fans roaming around obviously this is incredibly far away from the Midwest but Seahawks favored by three Sam Darnell I think he's got his running backs back Caleb Williams obviously doing something special with the Chicago Bears team is this the year for them to go ahead and plant their flag as being all the way back and being the real Chicago Bears and maybe even go in a super bowl there's a chance tonight tells a lot of stories this is week eight of the NFL season it wraps up tonight here in Lumen Field Monday night countdown starts at six hey Jay let's get to our top five headlines coming out of NFL Sunday shall we pal let's do this top five top five top five top five driven by Ram truck AJ you put your foot on a gas pedal over Ram truck what's it sound like do you know we got AJ do it is that the first time I do like that that's a little touch I've from watching up in the attic at home when you guys start this I do like the Ram Ram Ram Ram situation thank you thank Connor I think that's the first time I think that's the way to jump out the first time but you know what no better time than the president I'm glad that he's finally on board tie how about AJ hop in it and also you have in your voice I'm excited to hear that yeah you bet and that's just a muscle that's just a muscle you got it you know kind of train is a little rough Saturday morning but we're ready to go we're ready to go hey hopefully Heavenly Hulk will make some more visits not just on Halloween to build up that muscle but let's get to our top five headlines coming out of NFL week eight Sunday driven by Ram oh yeah we're still pounding the rock AJ themes that are pounding the ball really well they're winning games and don't even get us started with the Tampa Bay Russian ears Tampa Bay completed no passes non zero Wilch beat the Atlanta Falcons in 2026 that is an absurd thing Bucky Irvin he obviously goes crazy I have two guys to rush for over 130 yards 300 plus yards on the ground don't need a completion and I think this is indicative now obviously the weather was terrible we remember the game of the Patriots and the bills a couple years back when it was so windy and there was like six pass attempts between the two of them so the rain might have caused this to begin with but this is two weeks in a row now where Baker has like four combined completions 60 yards of passing in two weeks in a two and oh I had no idea this was possible in modern NFL weather plays a huge factor in this Penex there's a hundred interceptions okay a hundred interceptions and Anzolone is everywhere okay I had no idea Anzolone is still absolutely everywhere but the year of pounding the rock continues and it's never been more evident than right down there in Tampa Bay back to back weeks is this what it's going to be throughout are these people going to be able to remain healthy AJ that's a big question whenever you're pounding the rock there's a lot of collisions is a lot of bodies but it feels like if you can run the ball you are going to win the game that is just the facts there's a graphic that we have about how much teams outrush their opponent boom 225 yards more than the Falcons 166 more yards than Cleveland Browns rushing get the Pittsburgh Steelers 149 more rush yards than Kevin O'Connor and the Vikings look out for maybe a running back trade there to get that thing kind of jump started and maybe a quarterback trade air as well what do they got going on in Minnesota not 100% sure they lose their first game they get outrushed by a ton maybe just running it right through Brian Flores his blitz is the right play and then the cardinals they beat Cowboys in overtime put a one at the end of an extra points made they outrushed them by a 109 yards AJ this feels like what you got to do in 2026 and I think there's some people finding that secret sauce and those people are the ones that are in the Super Bowl combo right now yeah those are the the teams that have a chance to win weekend and week out I think when you can consistently run the ball what if what have we talked about the last two three four five years they say all these these defenses want to put a cap on the defense and you don't want the offense they don't want you to be able to beat them over the top to beat them deep instead of playing too high safeties or whatever and I've said from day one we've talked about in the show a million times if a team wants to play cover to you got to run them out of it you have to be able to run the ball to get them to force them to bring one of those safeties down in the box to help with the run but I think this may be a little bit of reaction to that and what teams are doing but also I think the scheme like these all the weird orbit motions all this stuff's getting defensive to think to have to blink to just not be full go downhill attacking the run just making you at the last second something crossed your eye and you realize home now I did have the A gap now I got the opposite B gap because of everything in all the motion and everything going on behind the line of scrimmage so I just think it's the evolution of football like you see what happens in this here we had Caleb down she's a Pete you love limelike that I give Caleb credit for for getting back up after the first one because this is this a it's a physical game physical game he doesn't even miss a beat though I don't want twice that's the thing like it when you have offensive lineman that are willing to go 40 yards down field and not guys down twice in one play then yeah you can have a good chance why not blocking down for you we might yeah everybody bought in that Michael floor is going to be so pumped about the culture that he's put in there and you know this this Cardinal Steam over the last couple years there's been numerous times where we've come in and say you know what this Cardinal Steam fights man they fight they fight not with the floor I think the floor has told us what he's he's happy for like 20 minutes after a win and he's miserable for the rest of time he seems like he's one of those crazy psycho head coaches they got one of the best tight ends to exist in Trey McBride he loves talking shit too which I appreciate Gardner mentioned might be the perfect guy for this year for the Arizona Cardinals obviously we hope everything's okay with everybody else there the Cardinals were a seven point underdog their third win this season has an underdog of seven plus points week six at the Rams weeks one at Chargers now no other team has more than one such win this season and Cardinals are the first team in the Superboy era since 1966 AJ to have three road wins at 7.00 underdog within the first eight games other
the season. Hey, these dogs will fight over there. These dogs will fight. We wondered what the NMC West was going to look like and who was going to be in there and who wasn't. Cardinals are becoming a team. And you're talking about those offensive linemen running down the field and shoving people. It's like that's why these big ol' linemen that retire and get on microphones are like you don't think that's a talent? You don't think that's a skill right there? We Caleb Downs, we all have massive respect for the athleticism for him. Yeah, I'm running full speed. Probably what? 18 miles an hour, 17, 18 miles an hour there? Yeah, 18 and a half probably. Right, six foot, what? Five, three hundred and thirty. Yeah. Running full speed. Still just go ahead and let me kid somebody else now. It's like, what? What a freak show that guy is not just being able to run that fast that size, not being able to make contact but then just to continue to stride out and dominate. Good for the run game. If I were you and I was a football team trying to rebuild. Okay. I think I want to learn how we run the ball better. I think that's what we want to hear. We're getting into the era here with the sizes of players on the defensive side because everybody's had to be able to run side to side and cover people deep. We're about to get into this era. Pretty good. I think it's all cyclical and if you're rebuilding right now, it might be the perfect time. You know, it might be the perfect time as opposed to some people that might just have to transition into a whole new style. Let's go to the number four headline here. Access denied. I'm about to go line there and mile high. What a stop. I think we all saw the amount of time left. We all saw Patrick Mahomes on the sideline. Even Chris Jones was shown on the sideline right before the final place. Smiling. We all have seen this song and dance before. We've all seen them a home's magic. He's going to come back and win this game. Broncos, congratulations. You scored too quick. You gave Patrick Mahomes an opportunity afterwards. Travis Kelsey. He's still play football. So they're probably going to get down the field. They do. They did. They get all the way down to the damn goal line and now there's a conspiracy, a controversy that that guy didn't jump off sides and they just wanted to see the chiefs lose to the Denver Broncos because this is a pretty crazy. I mean, he did kind of when they super slow-mode it and they did the skycam. It's like you definitely see that. But boy, how many seconds left on the clock? What's the thing that that's a. I mean, close one. They don't call that. That's what I don't think so either. I mean, you go super slow-mo. You can see the massive man move a little bit so I can see where chiefs fans are saying, yeah, right. You got to be kidding me. This feels like you're working against us. But then they have another chance, obviously, and he gets sacked. Anytime you're getting sacked on the final play of the game, that is absolutely demoralizing. Now everybody's out on the chiefs, even though they started the game or started the season undefeated and everybody's in on the Denver Broncos. Are you worried about the Patrick Mahomes Chief Squad that this exposed some things here, this particular game? Or are we just firm believers in the Denver Broncos who for a large portion of a lot of these games, we think they look like a very average team and then Bo-Nix looks like a very average quarterback. And then at the end of the game, they're in it. And Bo-Nix is making plays and they're winning these games. They talk about what sustainable, what's not sustainable for a lot of people. It's like the Denver Broncos continue to just win games when you have no clue or optimism that they're going to be able to do it. Bo-Nix turns into this incredible quarterback whenever you need him, whenever he has to make a huge play. I think that's a trait that people have to have. If they want to have success, I think the Broncos winning close games is a good trait to have. But man, being a Broncos fans probably tough, they're a Bo-Num in the halftime, AJ. They're a Bo-Num in the halftime and they come back and win this thing. Don't you think this could be something for this Broncos team? If you get to the end of this season, you look at like the path they have taken. Like you said, they were booed multiple times. I feel like offensively, especially this team. And all that they have gotten through, the fact that they won this game was huge, obviously. I think it's one of those things you can look back on eight weeks from now and say, "Hey, that was a big moment for our season if they continue to do well." But I think it's like, you know, it's going to harden them. It's going to make them a callous team all that they have fought through early in the year because we all know like all of this stuff does matter. Absolutely 100%. But what truly matters is how you play the last four or five, six weeks of the season into the playoffs and if you're healthy and if you're playing like, you know, if you're starting to peek at that time. I think the Broncos are showing signs that they are getting better and better. You talk about the game winning drives there since 2024 and then you talk about the fans just, I guess it's hard just to become a firm believer or a Bo-Leaver, I guess that no matter how much we're done, no matter what the case is, we're still in this. We're going to go win it and I think that is a good fundamental skill to have. They're doing it a lot though. ESPN Insights says the Broncos do it again. They have won 15 straight regular season games that have been decided by one score. Crazy. NFL games are one score games normally. I mean, there's been a couple blowouts we've seen it, but yesterday, I mean yesterday, the amount of comebacks and close games, a couple of over times. I mean, every game is decided by one score. The Broncos having this ability observed. They came back from down 11 in the fourth quarter. It's Bo-Nix's 13th career. Fourth quarter come back, including the playoffs. Most by any quarterback in his first three seasons since starting quarterbacks for track in 1950. So it probably goes back to the 1800s potentially with what this guy's pulling off. Ty, are you a Bo-Leaver? Are you, are you, are you thinking this guy's getting lucky? Like what do we need to take away from this, you think? I mean, I think it's tough not to be a Bo-Leaver. Obviously, you watch the first three quarters of most of these games and it's not really like that, but at this point, like the proof is in the pudding. I mean, he's, you know, ahead of Josh Allen there. And we always talk about this, you know, when we're talking about teams year over year, the teams who win a lot of one score games the previous year, like the, the common thread is like, hey, typically that kind of reverses itself. It reverses course in the next year. That team is more likely to lose half those games. So the fact that they've won 15 of those in a row, like it kind of just is who the Broncos are. They're very confident in themselves. I think Sean Payton, you know, he doesn't flinch in these moments. Playing at mile high is definitely an advantage too. But yeah, I mean, at this point, like it really doesn't matter what what bonix does through the first three quarters because he has proved so far in his career that he is going to deliver in the fourth quarter. So as long as they can keep it close, you know, like he's going to show up. And, you know, obviously you don't want to play like this constantly and you don't want to play like this in the playoffs. But for right now, like, yeah, it's hard not to be a believer. The Broncos have won a franchise record five straight home games versus MVP quarterbacks. Hey, Sunday versus my home, Stafford Allen, my home's my home. So it's like the guys that we all believe in to win the MVP's are losing this bonix team. And it's like, bonix has got a little something to him, man. And I certainly appreciate it. And also you look at the Broncos schedule. I think they have the second easiest schedule down the road. Is what him both sent to us. So they had a hard schedule, like maybe the harder schedule thus far. And then they have the second easiest schedule now. Yeah, NFL's harder schedule. And now they have the second easiest remaining schedule as they go down the road hard not to be a bully a bully for out there. Let's go to the number three headline coming out of NFL Sunday. And obviously this one has a little bit of a heavy heart in it as well. Feels like the brand new lights are back. We had a great MCDC post game conversation with his team where he says, "Hey, listen, man. That's how you got to win some games, you know. We knew wasn't going to be easy. We knew it was going to be muddy on the offensive side. Defense need just help us. Defense made a lot of people wonder if Calamari was ever going to be able to be the quarterback for the Minnesota Vikings. That's what the Detroit Lions defense said. There's just a few weeks ago we thought the Detroit Lions defense was maybe actually, and this was impossible to kind of fathom, but swish cheese had made its way onto an NFL field and it was the Detroit Lions defense every single week. They were giving up everything to everybody all the time. They get some pieces back. Now they turn Kyler into what everybody thought Kyler was at the end of his Arizona Cardinals thing or the Vikings out going to trade for a quarterback. That's what the Detroit Lions defense did. So congratulations to the Detroit Lions, Marin, and to the special teams. He gave a shout out to Fox and the way they covered Marin and then the kicker obviously. And then on offense, Jameer Gibbs and that second half, outrageous. Jameo obviously found him paint Jared Goff doing special things in A&A tough hard fought dub against an undefeated Vikings team. And now A&J, question I have for you, pal, is like Jameer Gibbs goes for 150 or whatever. Most of it in second half. Is that how you got to take on Flores who's blitzing what 86 to 80 90% of the time? You just got to get through the first wave. And how easy is that going to be for other teams? Is this like a blueprint on what to do against Flores if you will, AJ Hawk? I mean, yeah, you could definitely call it somewhat of a blueprint, but the problem is there's only one Jameer Gibbs on the plan. And there's got a special. He is absolutely special. And what he is able to do is vision. I mean, you got Jared Goff believing in trying to get out front and get a nice block. That's what you should do. Quarterback tries to block you. You got to go high and try to hit him in his chin obviously. So he doesn't come in there and try to do that again. He just can't, I should say you can't let him block you. I guess you got to get. Okay. Yeah, yeah. It's like a line, Lord's, like if you're a linebacker and a wide outcomes and cracks you like your coach and you're every other guy and your defense didn't say you can't let a receiver block you. I'm like, well, what if it's a guy at six four two sixty two forty? I guess some of these like a DK Metcalf type guy. That's tough not to let him block you, but yeah, I think you can do that sometimes where you can catch a team if they're all slant in one way or whatever and they're blitzing. If you can call the right running plays, you can take advantage of that every once in a while where they will, you know, they'll they'll get pushed out of their gap wherever everything kind of works itself out. But I think Thoriz that's the thing. He has the answers for that as well. There are run blitzes where you go, maybe your ears aren't, you don't pin your ears back and get to the quarterback, you know it's a run blitz and you're going to try to figure it out. They also, when I was watching it this morning back, they ran so many quick screens the wide receiver yesterday. Like that, that was a huge part of the game. Tired of the line out. It started. They started the game and the Viking's out.
like four sacks early and then they just quick screened the shit out of them. If you do that and then run, yeah, it kind of slows the blitz down a little bit. Yeah, and then you can do stuff like this where they're all eaten, biting a little bit. And Jared Goff has the touch throw. We all understand that he can make everything in every throw on a field. He's special. He's underrated by the way. He doesn't get to respect. He deserves. We've said that a little bit, but I think I truly believe that with Jared Goff. Well, and also Jamir Gibb says he's the smartest. I like that. I like that a lot that Jared Goff operates that way because we thought he was super quiet, maybe reserved, turns out he's hilarious and he's an absolute spinner of the football. He puts it where it needs to be. And I think he sets up Jamir Gibb's to be in the right runs as well, which is a gigantic piece of this new era we're entering into. And now we have to talk about like the thing that is, I guess, ever present or omnipresent if you will, if you want to use that in football at Jack Campbell injury, man, super scary. It was in a four box for me. I had sound on red zone channel. Scott, I thought you had a great day yesterday. And I see this from the in the four box, and it's like, oh, man, scary situation. I don't know what it is. Obviously, Hutch, getting emotional. And then once we started looking into it a little bit more, it's like, man, that's Jack Campbell. And it looked like a routine hit. And then just the update doesn't sound great, but this is what's possible every single play. And I don't want to go back to it, but like tomorrow, Hamlin's hit looked very normal in a football game. Whenever that happened, this hit looked like, ah, that hit happens maybe 60 times in a football game. It just is a quick reminder and perspective putter that this is possible at any moment in this sport. And obviously our prayers and positive vibes and thoughts are with Jack, his family, the entire lion's organization, but AJ, that's the scary reality of football right there in a nutshell. Super scary. Like, no matter what you do to prepare your body for it, however, you can do all the right things and stuff happens, you know, like there's a crazy, fast, violent game. And like you said, this hit didn't look out of the norm compared to some others, but yeah, just when if you get hit in the right spot, I hopefully we get an update on Jack here sometime soon that he's going to, he's starting to improve a little bit, but yeah, you can see how much it affects not only your own team, affects the other team as well. And Hutch, credit to him for coming out and making a huge play right after this injury happened. Yeah. It was a fourth and four immediately after Hutch comes and just wrecks it completely emotional, emotionally driven from seeing his friend get carted off like that. They sent an update last night that he's resting. We will continue to monitor everything up there, but obviously absolutely devastated for Jack Campbell and just a reminder to everybody what could happen on a football field at any moment. Now, away from the Jack Campbell news, which is catastrophic and hopefully that we get a positive update, you know, that has happened in the past as well. So we got to keep that Foxy, you got to be excited about what this Detroit Lions team just did against the Vikings. I mean, they look good. They look the part and they remind us of when the times are great just a few years back with the Detroit Lions Foxy. Yeah. You guys absolutely nailed every aspect of this team. The one I want us that sticks out to me the most and it's the most important thing. Is day one MCDC Gritty football is that offensive line is finally back in the fourth quarter. Two must have drives to go up, get a touchdown. We were pounding the rock when the Vikings knew we were going to pound the rock with defense gets a stop. We get the ball back. We got to burn the clock out. What are we going to do? We're going to run the rock again. We're going to rely on that offensive line and it was 10 yards after 10 yards after 10 yards. That's the biggest sign to me that this team is all the way back and it's the biggest sign to me that I can trust this team deep into the playoffs. It's awesome to see. Here we go. Oh, line's good. Teams probably going to be good. Happy for you guys up there in Detroit. And once again, we are all praying for Jack Campbell update to be a positive one. Let's go to the number two headline shall we coming out of NFL Sunday week eight? What the hell is going on? Oh, look at that one, two, three, four, five, six, seven, eight, nine teams. I do believe all in like the same grouping of likelihood to win the Super Bowl. Books have no idea. We have no idea. Look at the Niners. They're a bit banged up. Josh Allen. We're just going to bet on Josh Allen. Maybe. Maybe it is. Just bet on Josh Allen who becomes the all time leading touchdown score or throw or for the Buffalo Bills, including the playoffs. I believe Jim Kelly still has the regular season record. So he might be able to get that down the road. But including playoffs, most touchdowns are in and then he has like 80 some rushing touchdowns as well. He's a freak. An absolute freak. So maybe that's the case. Ken Citi would just say what happened with the Broncos there. Do they lose their magic down the stretch when we all assume they were going to come back and win that game under two minutes left. It's Patrick Mahams. They don't get the job done. Kind of a questionable fall start. Still a fall start call. Then the Seattle Seahawks. I guess we're watching tonight. I guess this is all eyes on the Seahawks, the Bears, to see who can showcase that they are a team that is worthy of being crowned Super Bowl right now. I think we've got a long road to go. Now obviously that is a true statement. There's ten more weeks of this thing. But I don't think we know enough about anybody at this point, AJ on Who King. I think we know who's not. But there's a big bowl of teams that could potentially get to the Super Bowl. Yeah, there isn't. I mean, I think there's a couple teams off the top of your head that are not on this list of odds. They have the Packers, Steelers, anyone in the NFC East, one of those teams are going to make a playoff, anyone from the NFC South is going to make a playoff spot. Who on this list do you think is definitely not going to win the Super Bowl? The Vikings. Yep. Is everyone in there? Well, well, well, well. I don't know who's going to be there a quarter back. Yeah, we have no idea who's going to be there a quarter back. They can bring someone in. At this moment in time. Okay. With this moment in time, it's going to be tough to say Kyle is going to be able to lead that Vikings team to Super Bowl. Is he only going to get better as the weeks go on? We haven't seen that. But maybe that will be the case inevitably. And if they trade for a Kirk Koeh Cousins, not that they will, Kirk's wellness is fantastic and he certainly just won a game for the Raiders and they have a plan for Fernando. But maybe Danny Dimes, maybe Kirk Cousins, maybe Mac Jones, maybe they get another quarter back in there that they try to answer a problem for any off season if they don't see the progression out of Kyler Murray. But I just, I guess you can't believe in the Vikings at this point, but the defense has kept them in so many games. Packers, I believe in. Yeah. I believe in the Packers. I believe in here. I believe. Yeah. What's that? We might be coming back. They're only going to get better. So I don't know. AJ, it's hard to put the money down. Who is the most bet on team to win Super Bowl? Do we know those odds? In the San Francisco 49ers with how banged up they are, plus 580 feels crazy. But I guess it's just because we don't really know about anybody else. I know preseason. And this is going to be a shocker. It was the Rams in the bills. Those were the two most bet on the teams to win this Super Bowl. Since the Rams rough start, I don't know. What it is. I don't know what the current action is. I can find out. I will text the guys right now to find out right now. But it's still in the AFC. It's the bills, the chiefs, the guys that you normally would, you know, bet on it and have confidence in. And then it was the Rams at the beginning. And the Niners obviously caught a lot of steam when they started undefeated and now they're going to be getting healthy too. So there's going to be a lot more action coming in on the Niners. Yeah. And don't look now. You might want to bet on that team in Duval, dude. Yeah. Pretty solid. I mean, now, Granted, we got two guys that might not be on our team in a couple weeks doing a circus con show. Okay. Okay. But the Jackson of the Jackson players, Trevor Lauren, he might get traded. He asked for a trade. Balls on them. We traded the ball to them. So I just, it was tough day yesterday watching this Colts team. I guess this is what we should have expected. You know, I guess this is what we should have expected. Because what are the ties to any of these players? I guess to the City of Indianapolis and to the Colts organization, you know, like, do they feel like their ties are to Chris Ballard? You moved on from Chris Ballard. So we're all just kind of done with it. So we're just going to get absolutely smacked by the Jacksonville Jaguars. I mean, Danny Dimes, I mean, I mean, we couldn't have expected 42 or 7. Yeah. Good tackling. I guess now, if we look back on how our thoughts are about that building as a whole, as that game's unfolding, I start thinking to myself, I thought they were going to fight. I don't know why I thought that. Like, why, why would I think that? Like the Titans, they tried their way, Jeffrey Simmons by far, their best player. They fight. Big for them. They got a, they got a new coach. They got a new stadium coming. I think they got the Super Bowl coming their way. They have a lot, I guess, like things to fight for, but it's like the Colts just did not at all. And Cam Ward may be played his best game as an NFL player yesterday against the Cincinnati Bengals in a loss. Cincinnati Bengals, our Titans defense turns Joe Burrow over three times, gets three picks against him. It's like, the Titans looked vastly better than the Indianapolis Colts looked definitely. And we got Jonathan Taylor still playing. It's like, hey, if we're thinking about trading this guy, we don't need him getting hurt as he goes out there. He's a lot of reps, didn't he? Like, why? And we're going to lose by 35, were we going to him going out there just like, once that game gets a 28 zip, I think we know, right? Don't we? I think we know we're probably not winning this one, but it's like, I've never seen, I've never seen, I mean, I was on the years where people were thinking that we were sucking for luck. Hey, I was on that team when they're like, yeah, they're sucking for luck. It's like, I was in. I was trying to be good. I was trying to be good at my job. I didn't want to get fired. There's a lot of guys, but we had like, third stringers, fourth stringers playing, like, we had a lot of unknown guys playing in that year. And we got to smack around. It sucked. It was miserable. We had a lot of starters.
playing out here there was a lot of big names and money on that football field yesterday as they were just we got nine games left we got nine more games left after that I don't that's a bad football team there's a bad football team and I think the culture got exposed even more so here in this particular setting and then if you're a Titans fan I think you should be proud of what your team did after that entire thing happened but the Jags might be for real they might be the best team in the AFC or maybe I'm just thinking that because I saw them just don't moralize in Indianapolis cold squad yet again which down in Jacksonville the coats have not been able to win much so tough stuff but they just killed them yeah this is absolutely murder the major yeah it's the old I'm sure you had coaches say when it rains it pours that's what I thought when I was watching this cold scheme like especially the one that goes right through his hands picked six right before half for to go up 28 nothing at half that's what I'm thinking like all right like sometimes there are days when it's like it seems like nothing can go right and it just seems that compound on each other like it turns this thing 90 yards for a touchdown was 18 seconds ago in the second quarter that's a big that's tough going into half time like that that's not a moment yeah twenty one seven the effort on Danny Dimes though great effort on Danny Dimes coming off for repair to kill he's almost got him I will always appreciate Danny Dimes for what he did for the Indianapolis coats last year and week 10 no no going into week 10 we're eight and 10 or eight and two sorry going into week 11 with the buy we come back week 12 we have the worst record since then worst record in the NFL I think we're what two and 14 now or whatever it is sure we ever wanted that we we it's Jackson Colts on the worst record any NFL since week 12 last year two to 13 with loss they're eight and two for that think about where we were to where we've gone and it's only continuing to go done but hopefully a rebuild will be on its way Jackson Jaguar is out might win the Super Bowl and I don't think anybody's saying that I don't think anybody's everybody's mocking the Colts right now as they should any culture shit culture shite culture this people maybe need to say the team in Jacksonville might be for real because just putting a team of adults away like that and burying them and embarrassing them that's abnormal to AJ and the NFL very much so that's what that's what good teams do good teams take care of teams like the Colts right now Trevor Lawrence has 44 touchdowns to 11 interceptions in his last 17 games Jesus he's a he's a guy in Brian Thomas Jr scores a touchdown this week they haven't even really been using them on the offensive side of the ball he gets a touchdowner by gets in the end zone I guess for the Jacksonville Jaguars against Indianapolis Colts he might be getting traded away they threw a touchdown to a guy yesterday that might be getting traded they have a plethora of riches down there the Jackson Jaguars might be for real shot the Liam Cohen what he's been able to do now let's get to the number one headline holy shite deadline dancing seems like there's a lot of teams that we know at this exact moment are dancing with the trade deadline which comes Tuesday November 10th at 4 p.m. Eastern joining us now a senior NFL insider for ESPN and NFL Network with a little bit more information on who might be on the road and who might be staying home ladies and gentlemen I'm Chef Jordan good on you guys Chef do you have a quick question for you pal yes if Jonathan Taylor is getting traded do we see him ever play for the Indianapolis Colts game because it felt like at the end of the game yesterday as we were getting absolutely smacked and they were going off he dapped up a couple of his teammates and said whatever happens happens was that the last time we saw Jonathan Taylor as an Indianapolis Colt as a 427 loss to Jacksonville pal I think it's a mistake to make any declarative statements in a situation like this pad I think it's a fluid situation where all options are now on the table whether that means he doesn't play for them again whether he means he gets traded whether it means that they sit down and try to have a talk where they decide that the best thing to do is to hold not I don't know what direction this is going to go but I can tell you that there'll be a number of teams calling the Colts preparing offers trying to pry him loose and the way that they played yesterday it would seem to make sense a week after they traded away Quentin Nelson and DeForest Buckner that they would at least listen if they're going to listen to those other guys why would you not listen on Jonathan Taylor as well but I think all options are on the table right now November 10th is obviously a little bit of time away we got eight days until then here is the trade targets that you have kind of mentioned or we've seen floating around Jonathan Taylor prize target I believe for any team that needs offensive weaponry they're saying who maybe the Vikings maybe the Seahawks maybe the who's all who's all in on this with Jonathan Taylor I think you're looking at the group of teams the Vikings the Giants the Broncos Packers have checked in like there's a lot of teams there and there could be another team or so they're just decides to check in how that's going to shake out I don't know but those teams have had contact with the Colts so far and you have to see what materialized from there Josh Downs hold on hold on hold on before we move on to Josh Downs Jonathan Taylor where do you play college football at tie Wisconsin Wisconsin okay and you guys are on a nice little run right now hey you need a you need a running back I've heard is all man I'd love Jonathan Taylor unfortunately I don't know if we're going to be dealing a first round pick for him okay so you don't have one right because Micah has this year's correct accurate okay so we'll take back exactly four picks you think the only four picks the Packers right now this year we need all all four of the picks this year and then we need one next year and then we're going to need a player in return bring Jonathan Taylor back to Wisconsin get the Green Bay Packers back in a big dance with a guy who obviously loves your state I think as the time continues to roll on with this pound the rock era that we're in Jonathan Taylor's values only going to go up and I heard I was a Teddy Bruski yesterday on your guys NFL County I didn't know you guys were taking as many takes as you do on that Sunday NFL County a lot of takes I love it I love that show yesterday I really enjoyed what everybody was doing but I think it was Teddy Bruski maybe who said if you're trying why would you get ready your good players if you're trying to get good you know and that's a very good question I think whatever you stated that way but I guess just a reset is good for everybody is that kind of the thought for a lot of these teams and let's go back to the trade deadline Josh Downs could potentially be in talks to be on the move Grover Stewart basically all Indianapolis Colts but is that the thought for all these great players is it just a reset for the culture for the Colts and some of these other spots Chefty I think Pat when you trade when you make the decision to trade two team captains two players who have the type of stature and profile that Nelson and Buckner did then I think anyone's in play at that point in time so I know teams have been calling on Josh Downs I know the Colts have asked for a third ground draft pick we'll see if they can get it back from anybody here third sounds rich but maybe the two sides settle in on like a fourth round pick for Josh Downs here in the next eight days Jonathan Taylor like I said team has been calling Grover Stewart another player in a similar category you want to go through the list quickly here and uh sure touch on sure Cleel Mac the charges have given no indication to anybody that they're willing to trade anybody but they keep losing they haven't won a game yet so at some point if you got a player like Cleel Mac if he wants to go on to somewhere else um and you can get a draft pick back that would make sense but I'm not the GM of the team I'm not making the decision and they have not given any indication to anybody uh that they are open through trading away any of their players boot a baker Arizona like that that guy's been such a stud I don't know if boot a baker is going to be traded I don't think Arizona wants to move on from a guy who's been so much of that franchise with such a baller breeze hall here's breeze hall is interesting because we've mentioned these teams that potentially have checked in on Jonathan Taylor all have some level of interest so inevitably if if the cults decide that they are going to part ways with Jonathan Taylor that means there's going to be three-four other teams that don't get them so if you don't get Jonathan Taylor does breeze hall become the next running back trade target for the teams that were checking in on a running back like Jonathan Taylor now earlier today the jets a coach Aaron Glenn said they are not interested in trading away good players and breeze hall is a good player and their plan is to hold on to him but again Braille and Allen has played very well for the jets and so if over the course of the next eight days there's a team out there that doesn't get Jonathan Taylor doesn't it make sense to then call the jets to say okay what would it take to get breeze hall I'm not telling they're going to trade them they say they're not going to but I'm just telling you that's a logical call to think that other teams might be making to the jets Bryant Thomas Jr uh teams been calling on him Jacksonville has not been willing to trade him in the past you wonder with Travis Hunter playing a little bit more receiver if they might be willing to do that Chidevian clowning some teams are checking on him with the Houston Texans in Joshua I think you know there have been teams checking in on him including the Dallas Cowboys but the now is on a wins yesterday Dallas loses another game and if you're Dallas are like do you feel like trading for a guy like Joshua is going to make a difference in your defense right now yeah and there's a lot to talk about the Cowboys tie will have a question for you about that here in a couple of minutes but let's continue for the trade deadline here there's no quarterbacks on this particular graphic might be a couple things though AJ has a question for you Shafty yes chef you're sure you are locked in on the quarterback situation like let's say the Ravens or the Vikings are we going to see a team like them going at and trying to bring a quarterback in I think the Ravens have to go out and get a quarterback they have no choice right like Lamar Jackson's out indefinitely Tyler Huntley is going to miss time with Turfto so they're down to Joe Fanonco and I didn't even pronounce it there at Joe Fanonno yeah Fanonno Joe Fanonno the undrafted rookie free agent who played great in the preseason uh and who they like but you have one quarterback so you're back up quarterback right now
would be Justice Hill. That's not going to work. You have to add, you have to add a quarter back to roster and they play on a short week this week, Thursday night against the Jaguar. So yeah, at some point, they're going to be adding, they're saying Baltimore is pushing for Flacco to come back. Maybe. Hey, let's do that. I mean, I don't think since today's going to be interested in trading Joe Flacco in the division. Yeah, yeah, that's true. A good point. I have not heard Joe Flacco's name in connection to the Ravens. Anything is always possible. Um, but the Ravens are going to have to add a quarter back period. Like it's got to happen. So they're going to go through the road. Okay, so Kirk Cousins Kirk Cousins probably not on the move. We would assume Kirk Cousins is not going to be trading. No, listen, Kirk Cousins max crop, the Raiders are 500 in November for the first time since 2020, I believe it is. Like they're not looking to trade their players. They feel like they're building something. They're winning. Like they like this. They're not looking to get rid of these guys. Kirk Cousins leading the NFL in touchdown passes and to trade that guy. He's a great example for Fernando Mendoza. They want to keep riding him until they fall out of playoff contention. They want to try to make the play like, no, Kirk Cousins, I don't see as an option. I love that. It could be worth a lot though, you know, because we saw the Buffalo Bills make the playoffs and then give it a tie rod Taylor move on to a number one overall pick in Josh Allen. You know, I'm not saying that the Raiders are looking to move on to Fernando at this time, especially with what Kirk has been able to do with this Raiders team, but Minnesota Vikings might get desperate. You know, they might understand that the quarterback position is the what they need to pretend to go on that super bowl, right? Here's the problem with the Vikings right now. Like, okay. So they had Sam Donald and Daniel Jones in the building. They both left. They draft the Jay-Jay McCarthy. They traded Jay-Jay McCarthy. They went out and signed Kyle Murray. He was supposed to be a solution. Now we're moving on from Kyle Murray. Like, I just don't think it works like that. Like, you just can't keep shuffling in and out quarterbacks thinking that the next one's going to be an upgrade. Now, I'll say this, they're also lost one game this year. There's 61. And I'm not telling you that this Kyle Murray Minnesota marriage is slated to last long term or anything. But I don't know that you're going to get a quarterback right now. Well, I don't know. Like, uh, it's going to step in and be a dramatic upgrade over Kyle Murray, but clearly the offense has some issues. The offense has some issues right now in Minnesota. Yeah, we only say Kirk cousins because he's had success in Minnesota before. It knows the offense and the wellness, you know, seems like he could be worth a lot. We'd love to see Kirk remain a writer though. Let's not get it twisted. I'm just saying the Vikings might get desperate as they have seemingly been with your mention of all the names that have come through over the last few years. Now, let's get to the Cowboys. Speaking of desperation, time's time has a question for you, pal. Yeah. Jeff, the in terms of like trades, you know, we heard Jerry was just dejected yesterday after that brutal loss. Like, do you think there's a chance that they take a big swing and try to trade for someone you mentioned, Josh sweat, are they going to be sellers? Potentially. And then on the, uh, the flip side, too, as well. Like, Shotty and Christian Parker, he, Jerry said, Hey, he's not thinking about anything like that yet. But are we looking at it? Maybe a potential situation kind of like Eber Fluss and Dallas were like, if they don't perform well on Thanksgiving and they get embarrassed again. Like, is shefty or I mean, excuse me, a shotty on the hot seat here. Shefty's definitely on the hot seat. I'm not sure. Okay, shefty's been on the hot seat for a while here. Uh, Shawty has a chance to salvage his season here, but it's slipping away. Like the defense, you talk about them being buyers tie and they bought Rashon Gary. They bought Quinn and Williams. They bought Joy Porter. Like, they bought Caleb, like, how many more pieces are we going to add before we just say, it's just not working what they're doing right now. That Cardinals offense torch them yesterday. The Cardinals lost Jeremiah Loverly. They lost Kendrick Bourne. Michael Wilson went out of the game. They changed quarterbacks. Went to Gardner, Mitchell. The Cardinals were down to like their backups. And they torched the Dallas Cowboys for 500 and nine yards. The Cowboys surrendered the largest lead in franchise history at home in the second half. Arizona went through them like it was flag football and the Cowboys couldn't pick out their flags. Like, it was wild to watch. So what is the solution? I don't think trading for Josh Sweat in Arizona is going to make a difference. I don't know what's going to happen, but clearly there is an issue or issues that they're going to have to figure out and address. I don't think it's as simple as acquiring one player as a bandaid and thinking it's going to be fixed. I don't think it's as simple as bringing in Mike Patton to look over a Christian Parker shoulder. I don't think it's that's like, it's the same story every year with them every year. People get excited every year. We say this could be the year. And every year we get losses where they lose on a Thursday night to a rookie undratted, free Asian quarterback like Jalen Daniels in Tampa and then lose a game yesterday where again in that spot according to ESPN insights. The Cardinals were all one 147 and one violin trailing by 14 plus points in the fourth quarter. And the Cowboys were 69 and O at home in that same spot. And yet the Cardinals prevailed credit to the Cardinal. Like they went into LA. They beat the Chargers. They beat the Rams. They beat the Cowboys. Good for them. Yeah. Michael Ford is really doing it. You talk about after half time stats here. If we go to the one 147 and one Cowboys had 45 plays for 152 yards, one explosive Cardinals 39 plays for 331 yard teams. Fix explosives. Welcome to Gardner, Menshu football. But you know, Mike McCarthy, still a coach of the Dallas Cowboys, if the defense can play late, you know, in a season. And now we thought we had the defense figured out going into this season. We're bringing Quintet Williams. Remember, we trade away Micah because one player's good. Four players better. And we need to stop the damn run. Parker was supposed to be the guy. Now we got people saying that people that aren't even here anymore could probably do a better job calling a defense. I mean, it is a wild thing in Dallas. And we need to make sure everybody knows that that video, Jerry Jones jumping out of the suite's not real. You could see how that could potentially happen, especially the one 147 and one thing. Let's get to another seat. That might be hot. Conman has a question for you, Chef. Yeah, Chef, he obviously you've mentioned before today, but the chargers are just abysmal. They're an awful football team. They're seemingly no hope. And you know, on X right now, Hortes is taking a lot of shrapnel. And they are definitely blaming him for a lot of it. But is there any other kind of guys like his Harbaugh? Is he up in the year at all if this continues to be awful? Or is this going to be maybe clean house Harbaugh reset next year? What is the status of the chargers? Because it's seemingly every single person, including Herbert is getting called for on the internet from the chargers faithful. You know, here's the deal. When any team goes through the type of season that the chargers are, whether the last winless team in football, where they're struggling in offense, clearly there are going to be some changes that are made. My guess today, a half season in would be that they don't include Jim Harbaugh. He's been a great coach. They owe him a lot of money. They've had success up until this year. This season has gone off the rails for a variety of reasons. It's up to the organization to do a deep dive, figure out exactly what's going wrong, why this offense has let the team down. The defense has played tough. They've hung in games, the offense, turnovers, sacks, injure, whatever it is. And it's caused them their season. They'll have to assess after the season what's going wrong. But there's no way a team goes through a season like this and just says, okay, well, that was unfortunate. Let's just run it back and we'll be better. That doesn't happen in this league. How it plays out, we'll see in this league, you have a guy who's supposed to be great like Justin Herbert. He doesn't have success. Everybody's going to have to answer to it. Look at those numbers, Pat. 20, 7 straight possessions without a TV day. They haven't scored a touchdown since October 11th. Long time ago, bro. That's a long, long time ago. So much life has happened to all of us since then. Couldn't even fathom. But for Justin Herbert, you got him on a sideline, miserable face. He hates his life. He was just smote you with his girlfriend and training kid. Hey, found love was in commercials. Buffalo Wild Wings commercial. He looks super cool. He's got a new offense coordinator is going to make him do stuff that he's never done before. And he's going to take over the entire league. The charger is going to be at the top. Instead, we're the worst of all time. The worst of all time. That's stuff to fathom, but that's ball. I guess in a nutshell, let's go to tonight's game. Actually, oh, one more thing. And we hate that we always have to talk about hot seats. But tone digs has a question for you, Chef. Yeah, Chef. I wanted to talk about the Eagles after another poor performance last night, six in a row, just absurd to think about for them and all the off the field stuff and trades and stuff that have gone on with them. I mean, he's been to multiple super bulls, one circles. Is Seriani in any trouble? Are they going to, I know you talked about them being buyers and sellers at the deadline. It's always how how he works. But how do you see the Eagles going for the rest of the season? You know, again, I think when I look at them, it's so surprising, because I still think the roster has a lot of talent. They've now lost six straight games. I just watching last night. When they were talking to Nick, like, he looked tired. He looked worn out from all this. And when you go through a season like this,
I just think it takes a physical mental toll on everybody and it looks like it's affected them clearly because when you pour your heart and soul into this You don't get the results That you want I mean look at these stats in some of these. It's just incredible that yeah You know what's going on and again? I would have the same answer there that are when the chargers I don't know what they'll do about Nick Sireoni, but I know that it's gonna be hard pressed to just say okay We've lost six and row And maybe it's just they lost their quarterback and when they lost Jill and Hertz they they lost Their best chance, but this seems like it's going beyond that it's It's yeah, yeah, we get it. Yeah, we get it. We wouldn't surprise you Maybe they'll look into it. I like the Josh Harris was shown on the on screen last night up in a suite Had his lady in his lap. Did you see this AJ? Yes, I gave a hello to the to the crowd. I like that because they all look up at the screen See themselves act uncomfortable. Don't act like it act like we have they're not honest for him to actually give a hey Because they extended period of time. It was like 20 to 30 seconds just sitting on upper. Yep, and you said to give a couple of ease couple Because at first he did the classic owner or general manager that's not used to being on television looks up sees themselves gets kind of freaked out feels a little weird then he looks up again sees that they're still on there and I think Misses goes high first and then he goes. Hey, how you doing? This is an interesting situation. Thank God. We're winning this game and not losing this right now But Jake Daniels he looked great good for the commanders getting a huge win at NFC East massive question marks Cannot wait to see what it turns into at the end and then last thing about yesterday Shafty it's scary what football can be at times obviously there's a perspective putters immediately do we have any update on Jack Campbell and when should we expect maybe an update out of the Detroit lines? You know, I've got a couple of text as we're on the phone about it and I think everybody is hoping and praying for good news there Regarding Jack Campbell very you see the emotion. I mean, it's hard to watch that yesterday It always amazes me that these men play this game and you see something like that and then He's carded off and like you just go play you just keep playing like that's crazy to me. This is traumatic experience for everybody to watch It's hard to watch and yeah, I hope he's okay. We're waiting for the next update from the team But fingers crossed that everything's gonna work out there. Yes, certainly positive prayers and vibes to Jack Campbell's family and the Detroit lines We will continue to follow along hopefully for some good news and let's talk about tonight Bears traveling out here to Lumenfield in Seattle, Washington It's a little chillier than I think any of us could have predicted whatever we were packing our clothes to come out here But it is a nice Seattle foggy Monday leading into an NFC battle between Caleb and Sam Darnellt Anything we should know about going in might about injuries or updates on the Bears or the Seahawks side Shafty? Well, I think the interesting part will be whether the Seahawks activate Jadarian price at the four o'clock Eastern deadline today my sense is That's their plan right now. We'll see if anything changes that but it looks like they'll get back Zach Charbonate tonight. He'll make his season debut looks like he's very Possibly going to be joined by Jadarian price gives them two added running backs in their backfield and Obviously the story tonight's game is gonna be the debut of Quentin Nelson for Seattle and the debut of Jeffrey Simmons for Chicago the two big trade that both teams make last week and these These are two heavyweight teams I you know, I remember speaking to one coach last week And that coach said to me specifically do not be surprised I almost expect that the Chicago Bears will be in the NFC championship game one of the final four teams That's how good they are so I just think there's a high a pinion of the Bears who just got better with Jeffrey Simmons And we know what Seattle did last year. It should be a great match up tonight Looking forward to watching you guys on Monday night counting on the game pat Yes, 6 p.m. Eastern. Thank you chef. You're the man We'll continue to follow along with you all day as you get updates. You're the best that senior NFL Insider for us PN Adam Shafter AJ a lot of news not all of it great injuries happen scary ones happen and it kind of changed the Tenor for everything we hope we get Jack Campbell update today But man wild on stuff our two will have Dan Erlovsky stopping by who do you think he's putting a Dan wagon on after a week? Hey, how can he predict anything? Well, Dan Erlovsky's able to do because he watches every piece of film AJ Hawks. Yeah, he does and I can't wait. Hopefully we working some percentages today I'm sure we might. Oh, I'll be excited here What he knows out of a hundred times what something would happen and if that is a percentage still or You know, he called us in double-bound just a day after Elon Musk has retweeted something about it We'll see how he feels today be a friend tell friends have nice might change your life like percentages. See on the other side Hello beautiful people and welcome back to another magical over-reaction Monday November 2nd 2026 I will do it the sports program begins. We're right now He's the greatest and we're all joined by a man that we absolutely love a man who is Just as chilly as I am. I don't think we expected this at all back up quarterback in the NFL for over a decade now The man who talks about football all day every day on the SPN Dan Erlovsky That's AJ Hawker over there the talks of tables here at Boston Conor and at Ty Schmidt one half of the hammer Dan Cowboys AP tone is your tone. What was the trends this weekend from sports gambling world? What do we take away from week eight NFL Sunday favorites? We're nine and four so a good weekend for the favorites Which is normally good for the public? But when I was looking at it, where is it teams that are getting 50% of the more or 50% or more of the bets are six and 17 on prime time So it was good weekend for the favorites and the public but we'll see if it continues tonight on prime time NFL favorites of six or more though 1124 and three on the air we talked about everything being a one-score game that kind of goes to that where if you're favorite by a touchdown or more You are not going to cover that football game this year. Yeah, you're saying against the spread there not straight up and We need to remember that favorite's doing well great for the fans tonight Seattle Seahawks are favored at home Dan Arlovsky any thoughts on tonight's Monday night football games 6 p.m. Monday night countdown begins NFL live starts at 3 o'clock Eastern 12 o'clock local. Can you hear him? Is this Mike on it's you're I feel like yours is picking them out Yeah, yeah, I don't know how about now three o'clock Three o'clock Eastern NFL live 6 p.m. Monday night countdown and then obviously eight o'clock Monday night football Seahawks favored by three favorites have done well this weekend What do you expect an idea now? Yeah, I like Seattle at home This is a matchup of strength versus strength in many ways Chicago's offense a lot of really good things One of the premises is yards after the catch I think they're top three in the NFL when it comes to their yards after the catch the perimeter screen game the back Screen game the keeper game the play action patch on game They're getting guys running away from coverage. So it's a huge part of their offense Scheme wise and people wise burdens outstanding at it I want to see how the offense performs without cold commit obviously the injury last week with commit really devastating because he's a huge part And then Seattle defensively is the number one defense in the NFL and not giving up yards after the catch One of Mike McDonald's kind of trademarks. We don't give up air We don't give up cheap yards and that's one of the reasons why they drafted even worry two years ago And so kind of the the strength of Chicago offensively or one of them versus the strength or one of them Seattle defensively how does that matchup go goes a long way to determining who's gonna win tonight and then on Seattle side They might have the running backs back which would be a huge addition Everybody talked about them losing Kenneth Walker But they also haven't had their number one guy. Lastly, they have three different rushers do well They could have studied in the backfield. How's it helped Sam Donald? Yeah, I mean because the Seattle wants to run the football with multiple tight ends in the field and Really simplify the defenses options. Are you gonna double team JSN? Are you gonna single JSN? I don't think anybody can single of JSN over the course of four games or four quarters from a defensive perspective And so if they can put their multiple tight ends on the field run the football somewhat consistently Now I think they'll pull Nelson and Zable a little bit more than they have in the past then that challenge is Chicago defensively Chicago can not cover JSN one-on-one. They don't have a corner that can right now And so I think we'll see kind of how Chicago wants to play JSN from that perspective if they're gonna double them which they should There's always going to be a numbers advantage for Seattle to run the football JSN is accounting for 36% of Seattle's yardage this season Which would be the highest rate for a wide receiver in NFL history? Isn't it as easy as just take the guy away? Isn't it just as easy put six on four? No, it's not I thought that's what you do You just take them away. No, you can't one they move them so they move them around so much and then two I think his releases off the line of scrimmage are Basically like having five pitches as a pitcher like I don't know who's the best pitcher in major league baseball when it comes to that stuff of having Five different pitches and so I think his ability to win Inside leverage outside leverage high low people playing over the top internet like he's got so many different ways to beat that first defender Yeah, and if you watch hard knocks that is a great breakdown of how every route looks the exact same So you can't figure it out He just got a guess and if you guess wrong he's shake right on roll. He's gone. Yeah, he's JSN
and that's why he's offensive player of the year last year. One of the biggest reasons why they win the Super Bowl. Now let's get to this past weekend here and a few weeks on a Slate 8. Bo Knicks now has all these records of one score games, comeback game. They now beat five straight MVP's at home or whatever the case is. Nobody else has ever done that. Can you tell me why Bo Knicks is so good, so late for this Denver Broncos team? And do we just have to believe that every game is attainable for them no matter how they look, the first three quarters? Because right now he's the most clutch quarterback in football, and the play on the tape says that, and then the obviously numbers do. The question of why he's better late for me, the answer is, 'cause I've always believed he's a reactor not a thinker. You guys know in football, in those situations, when it's up tempo, you're playing in a two minute situation, it's do or die, it's much less about thinking and much more about your forced to be aggressive with the football, your forced to kind of push the boundaries. I actually walked away from the game, even before the comeback happens and going, that was the best game he's played this year. And I know there were the booze 'cause the second half, three and outs, he moved much more up in the pocket rather than back in the pocket. That's his big flaws, they go he's going backwards, up in the pocket. Too much more aggressive throwing over the middle of the field. I have been pounding the table, throwing more seams, throwing more seams, throwing more seams. And then they got into some of their staple formations, I call them four by one, they put four people there, one people there, sucking on the backside, just with his frame. So before the comeback happened, I thought it was his best game. And then I think he just gets into that mode of it's almost a do or die, like you have no other choice. And the game comes down to this in week one, Kansas City scored 14 points off fourth down conversions. Yesterday in week eight, Denver scored 15 points after fourth down conversions. And many ways the game got swung because they converted on fourth down. And Kansas City did in week one. - I like seeing Waddle back dancing. 'Cause that was a huge shining, we thought for bow in this offense. And then obviously you have a different play color, they start out the way that they start, he doesn't get going as much. Nice to see Waddle back waddling in the end zone. He was a weapon for Miami for a long time. I hope now with what they got going on in Denver, they can weaponize him. AJ has a question about the guy who's back on the sticks, the ones in twos for Denver. - Absolutely, Dino has, I guess how have you seen this offense change? If it has changed all with Sean Payton at the helm, you know, calling the plays. - Yeah, it's definitely changed over the course of the couple of weeks, AJ. I tell you one thing. And I, much more diverse in their run game, personal wise. Sean wants to run the football with a fullback on the field. They weren't doing that early on. They ran the football better with their fullback on the field. They ran the football better with two tight ends on the field and two backs, so 22 personnel. The second thing is getting into these four by one formations. That's something that last year, it became like a calling card of theirs, a staple of theirs. And then getting him more comfortable throwing the ball down the field in the middle of the field. AJ, he throws these in routes, those 20 yard in routes and those seams routes. So seam routes so well. He did that much better yesterday. And so I think yesterday was the most, what it looked like last year game for both Sean Peyton and Bo Nick's from a past game perspective. And if that's kind of who they're going to be, it's much better for their offense moving forward. Yeah, and stadiums coming alive. Yeah, that's it. I don't know if they're trying to dry the paint here in the end zone, 'cause they had a big Seattle Sounders game had a rivalry matchup against the Vancouver light cops. Yes, a new local place was packed out. It was filled up. But Bo Nick's and Sean Peyton, they're going to pick up where they left off last year at some point. Will you assume that this is going to go on to just continue to crush? Yeah, this was a really, really, really good sign. It was a really good start because the majority of the game I thought he played well. I think the other thing to take away is, and AJ can speak to it better than me. Dude, those two tackles at the end of that game on that goal line stand, I think they're as good as tackles as we've seen in the NFL this year, with Sir Tan, and then Skinner, I think, is the last name. Dude, it wins them the game. I don't think we see secondary guys tackle like that. I mean, the first down tackle by Sir Tan is nuts. Dude, that's Kenneth Walker, and just sawing off his outside leg. That's such a big tackle. And then I think it was either second or third down. Sinner does it, or Skinner or Sinner. It's such an amazing job of vision, vision, vision, vision, then shooting through like those two tackles win them the game, and we get caught up in a quarterback and whatnot those two tackles win Denver the game. It could win Denver the division. Yeah, Vance has been a stud with that defense for the entire. Yeah, in 49 there, single, single, single, single. He's stud. He's everywhere, he's all. He is absolutely everywhere, phenomenal player. The defense is great. The offense we thought was going to continue to be great. They struggle early. Maybe they find it bonix, though, got a bow leaf, got a bow leaf. They're in every single game, even if they're good and booed by their home team or look like ass. But yes, a lot to get excited about with the physicality on the defensive side. Let's pivot away from the Denver Broncos and bonix with a good. Let's head over to Baltimore with what they're going to do. Saw Joey Fonano. You know who that is? You know Joey Fonano? Fonano? Fonano? Joe Fonano? Joe Fonano. Joe Fonano. You never get it. Never get it, Dan. Yeah, Dano. Speaking of Joey Fonano, he actually looked pretty good. But if Lamar is out for an extended period of time, are the Ravens just kind of dead in the water? We talked with Chef the a little bit. And he basically said, like, hey, they have to go get a quarterback right now. But even if they do, does it matter, especially with what else is going on in the AFC North and kind of a side note? Do you think yesterday was the last game we saw with Lamar as a Raven? Yeah, without Lamar, yeah, the season is done. The divisions too deep, the AFC is too good. So, and he's Lamar Jackson. He's one of the two, three, four best players let alone quarterbacks in the NFL. It's awful because the injuries have just become such a big part of the conversation. So no, I do not think Baltimore with the third string quarterback or something else is a playoff football team because the offensive line's not good enough and the defense isn't as dominant enough. Is it the last game for Lamar as a Raven? I'm not ready to say that, but I understand it's going to be a conversation. You guys know Beshada. You've spent a little bit more time talking to him than I have. No, we've never talked to him. We just talk about him. I thought he was on the show and didn't. Nope. No, we don't know anything other than you know about him, but we just know we made a song about him, we like him. He's our whale. This is it, guy. He is our whale. He's your white whale? Yeah. Wow, Italian. Well, yeah. More golden boots. This is owner that moved on from Harbaugh not because he couldn't coach, but it was just like, it's time. Lamar would, if he misses the season, he would have missed, I believe, 16 out of the last 34 games over the course of two seasons. $84 million cap hit next year has to be addressed. That's only his contract only runs through 27. You guys know starters don't play on lame duck contracts. If you're Baltimore and him missing all that time or the course of the two seasons, are you extending him? I think that's hard to do for a guy that's turning 30. If you're Lamar, are you going into next year as a Raven without a contract extension playing? No. So I just think it's a delicate situation with where they are financially and the unfortunate part of the injuries. Yeah, the Jesse Menter era with the Baltimore Raven started out with an aspeeding of the Indianapolis Colts in Indy. And I thought to myself, wow. Lamar looks better than he's looked. He went through all spring practice and OTAs with Menter trying to establish a culture. Their defense we know with Menter going to be good. I had such high hopes and high dreams for him. And now here we are eight weeks in. And we all think it might be over entirely for Lamar in Baltimore as a whole. Is he in back to South Florida Gumps? Is that where he's headed Gubs? Come on home Lamar. Come on home. The internet's getting excited about it. Yeah, you'd take him as a dolphins fan for-- Absolutely. Two or three first rounders and another 200-- It's not going to be that. Remember the contract you signed when no one would give up any first, first grade. He's got a no trade clause though. You know he doesn't want to come home. No, I'm saying he controls where he can go and so at the end of the day like he-- if it's only going to be Miami, Miami will then have to give up what it takes, whether you agree that or not. Dude, Jeffrey Simmons just went for two first rounders. You don't think Lamar Jackson's going to? No. I don't. What do you know? No. On that note, no. Let's get away from the Baltimore Ravens of Lamar Jackson and the Miami Dolphins. Let's talk about trading and not having any first rounders. There's a chance that the coach trade away. They already have Quentin Nelson, the first Buckner, already have. Jonathan Taylor, seemingly happening. Him and Josh Downs, Josh Downs asked for a trade. They were part of a play yesterday. It was kind of a good showcase of the Colts as well. There's a chance we don't get a first out of this thing. There's a chance we don't get a first out of this. The entire operation where we're trying to. And we still don't have a first going forward. Daniel Jones looks ass compared to what he looked like through the first 10 weeks last season. What are your thoughts on the Indianapolis? If you're staying stiking, what are you doing? You're trying to win every thinking game. It's a frigging tough ass league. I understand that, but I mean, this is an embarrassment. They got smacked. Jags might be the best team in the AFC. I think that conversation should happen. But they put the Colts team down. This is a wounded dog. And they took them out back and put them down. And they just continued to embarrass them. Or is this more about how great Jacksonville is? Or we got nine more games for the Colts. Should we be fire-sailing?
everybody out there. Yes, the Jags are that good. Also, when you trade away two great players like that, you send the message to your football team that, "Oh yeah, well, the Titans continue to fight. How come the Titans do know how to fight? Is that because they're cultures better than the Indianapolis Colts culture?" And that's a Tennessee Titans, is that what we're talking about? That's a great point. One, Tennessee got the best game of their Young Quarterbacks career, so that's a big part of it. Yeah, I just think with a group that went in with expectations in Indie this year, to see the reality happen and then the trade away two of their best players, it sends the message that we're not trying to win right now and anything and everybody is on the table. And so players feel that in the locker room. And so I think there's just that reality of the NFL. And so yes, anybody can be traded from Indie, I would entertain. I don't know the financial ramifications of trading away at Daniel Jones. There we go. What do you want to do? You want to get him where did he go? If I was in Minnesota, I'd have to make the call to amongst other places. Jonathan Taylor seems he's going to get traded. I don't know if he's going to go for a first round pick. Josh Downs won't. So yeah, they're going to be a lot of really good players out of Indie over the next 10 days. And Jackson Jaguars deserve a lot more credit for who they are. Yeah, they're awesome. Awesome. Awesome football team Trevor Lawrence. I continue to rave if I was an owner. If I was an owner and I had a quarterback that was a young player or I had a quarterback that maybe had moments and has in a struggling state, I would be doing everything to find my Liam Cohen. Because what Liam Cohen has done just from the confidence level of Trevor Lawrence and the self-belief in his ability to play has totally changed the way this team operates. Yeah, Trevor Lawrence, what's the stat 44 touchdowns to 11 interceptions over the last 17 games? Something like that? Yes. In his last 17 games, 44. Yeah. Tanner, what's Liam done? What have they done for him? For real? What is what is the difference? Yeah. Yeah, AJ, good question. So in 2024, I remember calling I believe I was calling Monday night Jacksonville at Buffalo. And he was a shell of himself. He was just shot mentally. And I think when Liam came in, it was number one demanding more out of him from a leadership and a voice perspective. And then everything being a big deal. And then the second thing is getting him to think of himself in the way that Liam saw him. Dude, you are 66, 250. You have an unbelievable arm. You're mechanically so sound. Stop worrying and cut the ball loose. I've always believed and see it. Trust it. Rip it. If you prepare, see it. Trust it and rip it. I think he's gotten to that point. Now, they're much more physical up front. They're much more diverse. They take their shots downfield. I don't think he worries about throwing interceptions. I think he says, Hey, I'm going to get the guy open. Make the best story you can make. I think he's much more willing to be athletic. That was my big thing for years with Trevor AJ. It was like, dude, be athletic. Stop trying to be perfect in the pocket. You're a big athlete. He's much more willing. It has been since Liam got there. And yeah, they're a wagon on offense. Yeah, they're a wagon on offense. Liam Cohen buries the Colts yet again. And the Colts just get shredded and decimated in a whole new errors around the turn. And do we expect them to make all the right decisions, right? Going forward for the Colts? Yep. I do. I do. I expect them to make all the right decisions. What is the right decision? Who knows? Is it AR? You see him in the fourth quarter? He's run a little bit. Did a little check back drop back. Do you think Shane Slycan tries to figure out if AR has any value for the Colts going forward? I don't think Shane Slycan's been around the NFL long enough to know reality. You know, it's like that you have to win in that league. And when decisions start getting made and you're not winning, we don't have to be rocket scientists to connect the dots. What? Speaking of rocket scientists, have you gotten anything from Elon? I saw he chimed in on the percentage game as United picked up 44% of their planes now have starlink installations, which means 44 out of every hundred planes just to let you know. How many planes does United have? Like, what does that mean? Hundreds. So that's why they're trying to let you know like 44% of them have been complete. Do they have 500 planes? Do they have a thousand planes? What's this mean? 4,400. 440. 440, sorry. We got to save him. We got to save him. I landed a 12 o'clock last night. 12 o'clock local? Yeah, 1143 I think it was. Okay, it's 2433. This Pacific time zone is crazy. They're so far. I feel like I am so far. We're Elon, maybe like we're starlink might be from like it's so far. Yeah, it's very far. He might be in space. Yeah, I understand what you're saying. United says they have inflate Wi-Fi that actually works. That's how they found out about you not knowing what a percentage is or what percent means. And I do appreciate that after the entire world. That's one of the most watched clips in the internet scene in some time. I had so many people come on like walking through the airport or coming onto the plane because I'm sitting there and go figure out what percentages are yet. Yeah. And what you say, no, I didn't know. It doesn't make sense to me, dude. Yeah, I appreciate you've had some people with brains back you, which I think powered you. There's been some people that said, you know what, Dan's not the only one. Let me throw myself right into this shit. And I appreciate them doing that for you. You know, that's that's a that's a really good thing. Let's go back to the thunder dome. Percentages are high. The con man has a great question. What do you got? Yeah, Dan Oh, first of all, great jacket. That thing looks awesome. My mother wears the same one every single day when it's the winter time. My question for you. Your mother shops at Colors and Co. You know what mother? Oh, that's right. You did that stupid gimmick at Colors and Co. I forgot about that. No, she doesn't, but it looks just like that. Let's put fashion to the side here for a second day. Why can't Kyler figure it out in Minnesota? What the hell is Colors and Co? Would your mom be shopping at Colors and Co? Great commercial. Dan's a great jacket. It's a great jacket. It's a classic. You do a commercial like the shoulder rehab thing. Yeah, he did this week. Commercial is walking through with bags. That's pretty woman. Oh, I missed that. Oh, pretty woman. Oh, really? Yeah. Were you picked up on the street or when you're doing the picking up? Big mistake. Huge. How many women's? You know what that means. I've never seen pretty woman. Well, you know, great. I mean, the premise of it. It's not appropriate. Yeah, I think I know the premise of it. That is Julia Roberts, correct? Yes. Yes. Yes. Yes. Yes. Yes. Yes. Yes. That's right here. Hi. Money guy and there you go service. Yeah. A worker. Yeah. They fell in love, though. They found love in a hopeless place. Some would say. And with this particular jacket, it's a lot colder here than I thought. Did you know it was going to be this cold here? Yeah. I have gotten to the point like before packing kind of go on AccuWeather. Check out what the weather is going to be. I saw the high of 52. If you're like me in love, athletic fabric shirts, but also one thing to present, like a traditional dress shirt, get yourself the callers and code. Hell yeah. I'm being honest. Is this callers and code dress shirt too? This white shirt underneath is a callers and co shirt. So you look good, Dan. Thanks, Bell. Um, Connor has a question for you. Yeah, Dan, you asked about Kyler, right? Yeah, just just why. Like it feels like we talked about it for a couple of years now, how playing quarterback in a Kevin O'Connell offense is easy and simple. And you got just Jefferson and Jordan Addison and Kyler did have a beautiful deep ball to Jordan Addison later on in this game. But why hasn't it worked? And is it as simple as, hey, let's bring Danny Jones in because what makes you think Danny Jones can make a work based on how he's played this year? He hasn't looked great. I agree. I don't know. I loved it. No, it's less than great. Um, okay. So I want to, before I answer the direct part of that question, two things. Since Sam Darnold left. Minnesota as a team has the worst QBR in football. So no, this is not just Kyler, okay? Like that, that is not just we've had multiple quarterbacks play in the situation. It's not just him. Right now, this offense on a drive by drive basis is the worst offense in football. They average 24 yards per drive, 24 yards per drive with Addison and Jefferson and Hawkinson and Derisaw and Aaron Jones who's still plenty capable, okay? That being said, directly to Kyler. Right now, Kevin O'Connell is just calling plays. Kevin O'Connell had for years become this coach that could sequence plays. And what that means is like, I can take these six plays, like I can get into this with Joe Bert Brady. I could take these six plays and I can run them out of one formation or six formations. And then I could take this one play and I could run it out of six different formations. And so I can sequence, sequence all the different looks or what I can, um, I can set up for the future. And that's called calling a game. It's called calling the game rather than building a game plan. Right now, Kevin O'Connell can't do that because a lot of the things in my opinion that he's so great at. If you look at, you go, well, I really like doing this this week. Oh, man, I attacked him this way. I do not believe that Kyler is a ideal skill set for this position in Kevin O'Connell's offense. Well, then why they sign them? Because we are being thrown. What else were the options? Well, so that's part of this. Okay, David McCarthy was there. day no jim.
Jones was there. Daniel was in Indie though. Like they didn't sign Dan Kyler after Indie this year. You know, right. And so I and like for this offense, you have to be able you for this offense to be ideal. You have to be able to turn your back to the defense. Set up in different spots within the pocket. It's not just drop back. Re-evaluate what you're seeing. And then excuse me, throw the ball to space with great ball placement. Right now Kyler from the pocket that ball placement is just not good enough. And so I've said this all year that also people aren't open all the time. Kevin O'Connell can't get people open. And that makes me think of, well that's he's not ideally running his offense. He's just calling good plays. And this is not a simple fix, no, but I do think getting a quarterback in there that he could run his offense with is better than what's happening right now. Okay, then move on from QA C general manager get a new GM in there. They move on from Jay Jim McCarthy and everybody. I guess we just wait and see if they can find a quarterback that can operate in Kevin O'Connell system, which is why we continue to think maybe they'll make a trade for a QB. Who would that be? I guess that's up for teams to decide. Justin Jefferson, maybe he's is he tradable? You see the stats on Justin Jefferson? Have you? This catch is absurd. Yeah. Justin Jefferson catch way to go. I like that he still has the fire in him and everything like that. There's stats popping up graphics popping up about Justin Jefferson. And now he's, I don't know, a lot of games, 10, 15 games or whatever. Not good. I mean, it has not been great for Justin Jefferson who we all believe best water receiver and lead. Right? We all just certainly conversation. Yeah, we all think that. Yeah. And that's and here's the here's the reality. Like, Oh, okay, from the 30,000 foot view, Kevin O'Connell guys that has thought as one of the great coaches in the league. And I absolutely believe that if this continues to go and this team goes 11 and six or whatever. And it's on the backs of Brian Flores's defense and the offense to struggles and struggles and struggles. And then teams are going to go, Hey, we want to we want to bring Brian Flores in as our head coach. Okay, then Minnesota is going to be left as an organization with the decision to be in like, why are we going to let Flores walk out of the building? Our offense has been bad for two years or hasn't carried their weight for two years. I just think they're at a reality as a football team in organization being like, there's got to be something that happens at that position to spark the offense to perform better. Yeah, I hope so because I'm a Kevin O'Connell believer. I love him. I'm a believer, but man, there's a lot of decisions made at the most important position in sports that were maybe disrespectful to ball. You know, maybe it was disrespectful to ball as a whole. Sam Darnell does the season he does with the Minnesota Vikings. And they say, get him out of here. We don't want to match because he didn't get that good of a deal from here. Seattle, he got the same offer that Gina got allegedly. Gina said that's not good enough. Sam Darnell misleads the Minnesota Vikings. The number one seed in the NFC kick him out of town was there in 14 games. Get him out of here. He comes to Seattle. Obviously, wins a Super Bowl. It's like Kirk cousins goes on. He has it's there's been a lot of disrespect questions. The question is whose decision was that, right? We don't know. We don't really know. Was it Kevin's? Was it Qasey's? Well, what if JJ goes on to be what we think he could be here for the Giants? I mean, that would be a crazy little. Yeah. Oh, yeah. Yeah. And again, that would be another kind of context of, wait, we've left. There's been three quarterbacks in our building four quarterbacks in our because I know Daniel's not playing good this year, but it was great. I sure they'd be four quarterbacks in your building that are playing or have played since they left at a high level. Yeah. And we believe in Kevin O'Connell. Believe me, we all do. But we're going to have to start seeing it. I think we're going to have to start seeing it. Let's go to a place that we are seeing it. I don't know if you notice Pittsburgh Steelers defense eight sacks. Okay. They're hungry, hungry hippos on the defensive side. Oh, Mama, it looks like the steel curtain again, but let's go to the offensive side. Tony Diggs has a question for you, Daniel. Yeah, Dan, I wanted to talk to you about the top of the AFC North and the two AFC North teams that won yesterday. Steelers since they made the offensive line change in week three statistically are one of if not the best running team in the NFL. And then the bangles who also won yesterday throw on the ball 40 times a game. Yes. And they're probably one of the best passing teams. Which one do you have more confidence in moving forward because it doesn't look like the bangles can run the ball and the Steelers are definitely struggling, you know, taking shots down the field. Yeah, that's a great question. I lean. I lean. Tony. Let's go. Tony. They're dogs, baby. I lean. I lean sensey. But I want to answer the Pittsburgh part of it first. Okay, Tony. Yeah, it's coming from you. I like so much about what Pittsburgh is doing and has done. I really do. I really like their offensive line to your point. I remember you bring it up week three, the new essentially the right side. I love the two backs. I love the way they've used their two backs, doubtful and worn. I think that the trap game yesterday was awesome. I think the two tight ends are really good players. Aaron's playing at such a good level. I have such reservation about the past game. When it matters because DK just right now is not working out. Yeah, but we assume he'll get that figured out right now because he's DK Mecca. He we assume he'll get the jugs machine at the house. Boom, boom, boom, boom. Don't forget the drops. I mean, the drops are the drops. He's been targeted 65 times this year. He has 370 yards receiving. That's five yards per target. Five. That would that's like a running backs number. And so for some reason, that's not happening. Jeremy Bernard, not having that same issue. Jeremy's playing outstanding. The tight ends outstanding. The past game, like that's my concern tone. But I do like so much of what they're doing and defensively as well. Is pitman out? Yeah. How long pitman out for all season? We don't know. He went on the IR. They just interviewed him this morning. He says it's very, very frustrating. He wants to come back, but he can't come back. It does 100%. So we'll see. We do not know. Sealors could be in the trade market for a while to see if they can get open, right? Josh Downs potentially. Yeah, because Roman Wilson. Roman Wilson was their manbeater and he's out as well. Yeah. I mean, the manbeater right now is the backs. It's really is. The backs of the manbeaters. The only thing that everyone continues to talk about with them in a receiver. The only thing, and this has come from a little bit of spending some time with Thielin on Wednesday's run if alive. Adam Thielin obviously spent time in Pittsburgh. Like he consistently is like guys. He needs and like, the only guys that can play for him is somebody that totally knows what he's thinking at the same time. That's why Steelers fans. Steelers fans are clamoring for Garrett Wilson. Now they say they won't trade them, but they're clamoring for Garrett Wilson because they had such a good relationship together. Yeah. I just don't think them adding a receiver midway through the season is going to be something that unless he's a guy that has a past with Aaron, I just don't think bringing them some random guys going to be the difference. The Cincinnati part of it for me is this tone. When I, if you asked anybody like the foundational parts of past game and what makes it click quarterback receiver, they would tell you anticipation, the touch of a throw, and the placement of the ball, and it's just teach taping Cincinnati over the past couple weeks. The fact that this play ends up in a 30-yard touchdown is outrageous by the way, but it's teach tape and it's both receivers. Like the anticipation he throws with, this throw is not stood. That's a 27-yard throw and he puts it on his eyelashes. The ball is out of his hand so early. He's throwing like with such great touch and anticipation and then placing the ball literally perfect for God. I don't think I've ever seen you get this choked up about Joey Burr. You know what you're seeing out of him? How are you seeing times choked up right now? It's down in the red zone right now. It's unstoppable. It's unstoppable and so just the way that I'm watching the past game operate and we obsess about T and Jamar rightfully so Giseki's having an unbelievable year. So I just, I bank on the quarterback and receiver just, they kind of do whatever they want at times. Here's a little staff for you. ESPN Insights. Joe Burr is the second quarterback in NFL history with 450 passing yards. Holy hell. Five passing touchdowns, one rushing touchdown in a single game and he's the first in 75 years. You remember Norm Vann Brockland? You haven't watched his film. You're disgusting. I need you to check out Norm Vann Brockland and I get NGS to get 1951 take. Well, NGS, how about NVB? Bro, he was the NVP back in 1951. That guy was spinning it. Their minds were blown with what he was able to do. 554 pass yards. We thought it was rugby. NVB comes in there. NVP like performance and now Joey B is doing something we haven't seen since then. Now is this sustainable? AJ Hawk, I want to ask you this question because you had a little bit of a take earlier today. People are saying it's not sustainable. It's not sustainable. Is Joey Barrow sustainable? I think that's kind of the question mark in it all. He had three picks yesterday. They still get a win. Almost gave that game away early, kind of pissed it away early. AJ, I think you have a little bit of a thought about everybody that's saying this isn't how you can win, right? Yeah, I just said, I think it is a sustainable model for the the Bengals. I mean, with Joey Barrow playing as well as he had in Dano, kind of helps my thought process when he talks about how well he's like, look at him jumping. Like, you got to feel pretty good. Don't you, Dano, to be alluding the rush, jumping in the middle of the pocket and then putting a absolute perfect ball on in the next four games. Like Falcon Steelers, Commander Saints, I feel pretty good about that. I know the Steelers got them the first time. So they're going to try to get them in their second matchup. But with how this offense is playing, I don't know if they even need to try to commit to the
but run it all, and I think their defense will continue to get better. I know you give up a ton of points to the Titans, but I give Kim Ward credit. I think they played very well. I just think Joe Burrow is on like a different level right now. It's like he's on a different planet, how comfortable he is, how confident he is, and when he have studs on the outside, and the offensive line holds up, I think this guy's a limit. - The only offense that I would say in the NFL is sustainable this way, Cincinnati. I would say no to the question for anybody else, but Joe Burrow and them. This is who they are. The offensive line is so much better than they have been in the years past. Joe's not dropping back and taking a beating, and they are so deep at the pass catcher group. There was a year or two stretch where I was like, we gotta get a little bit more balanced, we gotta run the football a little bit more, and I actually would sit here and tell you I do not subscribe to that thought process with this team anymore. This is a team that is built on firepower. This is a team that has a quarterback in pass catcher group that can score 40 on any one in the NFL outside of maybe Seattle and Minnesota, and if they continue to block in the pass protection game, the right tackle mims could be the best right tackle in football early. If they continue to protect like that. - Okay, so what's our Achilles heel? They're running the four D line, four ones at the bottom. - I don't even think that matters, dude, because here's the thing. From a structure perspective, we have to cover T, we have to cover Jamar. You can't cover them one on one over the course of four quarters, okay? Well, we gotta sprinkle a little bit of shade one side because of tendency, within Giseki. And then so now you're trying to defend this kind of three headed pass catching group that one size is a big deal with T and Giseki. There's six, four and six, five. Jamar's a freak physically, and so I don't think even the four defensive lineman thing, and then Joe is so good at ball out, ball out, ball out. There are Achilles heel as a football team, they're the worst first quarter defense in the NFL. So if you can jump on them, it certainly helps, and they were really bad defending the play action pass, just anyhow, Kim Ward was, that was the best game Kim Ward's ever played, but I agree, I said the same thing the first time. That was like his best NFL game of all time. - Yeah, and credit him a little bit, too. I'd credit him with making some throws, but I don't really think that this offense has an Achilles heel other than, and I'm not even gonna say it, so. - All right, don't say it. - We all late. - Yeah. Excuse me. - Health, health for everybody. - Yeah, health for everybody is a real thing. Health is gonna start rearing its head, too. And I think we saw it in kicking yesterday. I think leg swing and leg speed is changing, 'cause we're getting into the season a bit. So I think that's why we're seeing some more guys pull some stuff. I think they're gonna have to straighten that out. I think rolling is, most doings we've had in weeks. I don't know if the amount of times they heard, "Dun!" yesterday. I like that they put a mic on it like WWE does to the ring, you know, so you can hear a good pop off the upright, but I think kickers are gonna start having an experienced attitude. - Would you move off a butker? So that was an interesting set up there with signing a Justin Tucker. - Yeah, what are they doing? What's the plan, do you know? - I think that was to put pressure on butker. I think that was too let butker know that we're thinking about, you know, somebody else. But on a practice squad, like if Tucker's gonna get signed by anybody, he can still get signed by anybody. So like Andy Reid had to answer a bunch of questions about being the first person to sign Justin Tucker, and I don't know if he was doing it to put pressure on butker. It clearly obviously didn't work out the way they thought it was going to in that particular fashion, 'cause he misses another kick. But it's like anybody could still sign him, 'cause he's on a practice squad, he's on a team. I don't know, I don't know what the messaging was, 'cause that's a big decision to add Tucker to your team after everything has come out. Andy Reid had to answer a bunch of questions about it. They were writing op-eds obviously about his decision, making him do that. They've dug into everything else to start having because he's sounding as like for a practice squad kicker. That seems like is the juice worth the squeak? I just don't, I don't know, and I don't think. Butbucker needs to start making his kicks again though. I think is what the chiefs are thinking. You think I was fall start? - I don't, I do not think it was a fall start. I know it was a fall start. And here's the thing, everybody on TV that continues to show the over the touchdown or over the group angle, that's not the angle. If you can find the behind the offense angle, it's there, you see his right knee go like this. So right when the right knee goes there, you're like, yeah. So see that yes, that angle, you could sit there and be like, have a conversation. No, I think that's an obvious flinch. The behind the offense angle, it's very clear. It's obvious that it's a flinch. And it's unfortunate, but it's an obvious flinch. - Yeah, and the knee is what the D line is looking at. I had a chance to watch Dwight Frini, Robert Mathis practice in the little things that they are looking at to get off the ball, knee of tackle. - Hey, you see the right knee behind the boot, 'cause with NGS, I have both behind offense and behind defense angle, as well as the ultimately two. And you see the right knee of that right tackle. - I think we have this, we have a front angle, we don't have the back angle. - Yeah, so watch, yeah, see? And that angle is even better than the top cue angle. Yeah, watch his right knee. - Oh, okay. - Yeah. - Yeah, that is. - I'm kind of with you, I'm not gonna. - Okay, hold on. - Wait till, wait till you guys, I promise you, it'll come out over the next, X amount of hours behind the offense, turns out. - Yeah, once you see the behind the offense angle, it's obvious. - And he did try to play it off as if he was just looking inside. - Yeah, he played it off pretty well. - Yeah, he did play it off well, 'cause people think you're calling her just for him looking inside or whatever, but no, yeah, that right knee, it's pretty tough. - That's right, NFL Pro, which you can find on NFL Plus, which is a part of NFL Unlimited, which is cold, look at that, that's a great pull, Bruce, that right knee, that's the thing, like, so that's an obvious one to me. - Okay, so you're saying no problem with the fall start. Are we having a problem with the Chiefs though? Are we scared? 'Cause Patrick Mahomes walks down the score's touch on there. - Yeah, every time I've ever seen it happen. - Yeah, so yes, here's my concern about the Chiefs. And it's, in many ways, they've been exposed over the past two weeks, okay? The run game gets shut down and credit Seattle and certainly Denver defensively to good defenses. They are going to have to, I wanna pull up this. So, they have 72 catches by their wide receivers this year. 72, they have 82 by their backs and tight ends. 72 catches by their receivers is 25th in the NFL. 25th, they're 9th when it comes to running backs and tight ends. They've got 825 yards receiving by their wide receivers. That's 30th in the NFL. You're not winning a Super Bowl like that again. I know Chiefs fans are like, "Oh, he won, Patrick won a Super Bowl with me, you and Gumpy playing my receiver." Well, he's not gonna, like, that's really hard to do, okay? So, they have to, have to, have to add a wide receiver and a good one over the next week. - Yeah, and there had been, you know, rumblings. And I don't wanna keep saying his name, but Josh Downs asked for a trade and he is a very good wide receiver who did it. - Yeah, I would rather, if I was Kansas City, I think Downs is awesome. Awesome. I'd rather have Don Tavion Wicks for their offense then Downs. - Okay, so who knows? Maybe Andrew Read and Brett Vitch will get both of them. You never know what the Chiefs will cook up. Let's go to tonight, shall we? Last week we had an incredible opportunity to showcase being boots on the ground. Do you remember the Stan Erlovsky? Of course you don't. Ladies and gentlemen, joining us live from Lumen Field. The field is football environment expert. Parker. - Parker. - Yeah. - Parker. - What's up boys? - Parker, you are the authority of football environment expertise. I can't believe Don Erlovsky just called you Peyton, 11 years at ESPN. This guy 11 years at ESPN, sleepin' on the floor for four or five years. Southwest fights, middle seat, because of commitment to the league. That's my fault, Parker. - I apologize. - Parker, you gotta get it right, but we'll get it right next week. - I like that, Parker. Put him in his place. Parker, you are the only man that we could trust with this particular job. Last week you said the weather felt like it was good for Dallas. We just need a couple answers out of you so we can kind of shape how we're gonna view this game going forward. First of all, how's it feel, Parker, down on the field? - Feels great. The field crew's been down here bustin' blood to get this place in shape for tonight. So give them some mad props off their top. - Okay, so mad props did a feel crew. Boston bought out there. I know you fudge in like him saying Boston bought like that. - Wait a minute, wait a minute, good example. - Parker, does it feel good for the Bears or for the Seahawks in your eyes? - Ooh, yeah, it's gonna be Bears weather, unfortunately. They're doing a lot of good work down here to get it ready for a loss tonight. - Okay, you're in the man. - Parker's been down for a long time. - Parker! - That's a lot of fun. - All right, boys, what do we learn there for Parker down on the field? - What are his rooting interests? I need to know, like I need to go into a Parker's brain. Does he a Bears fan? - He's from Louisiana, he's not a Bears fan. - Oh, he is, he is a Saints fan, yeah. - Saints fan, yeah. - Yeah, but only a Bear fan or someone who's fond of the Bears would say it's feelin' like Bear Leather. - And you might have Daniel Williams or something on his fantasy team could be-- - Off the top, that's kind of my thoughts around. - There's no way Parker has a fantasy team. That takes a lot of time, right? Parker is, Parker's either in a plane or in a car driving a race car. - He's in dog, right? - He loves fantasy football. - As if you would know, Dano. - Yeah, you have no idea. - Yeah, he's trying to make it right right now. He's a dog, right? Really a treasure. - Oh, I just remember someone told me last week how committed he's been to the job and kind of doin' the dirty work type stuff. - Yeah, Parker's the man. - Yeah, he's the man. - He's a good peek into how you treat the people around you, Dano. - Yeah, he met with the same nickname. - He's got two, Dano. [BLANK_AUDIO]
- Dan, I'm terrible with names too, I get it. - Hey, your folks, I'm Paul. So, he, though, that's why we bring him in here. Parker, you're down there. How do you feel about what Dana Lovsky's done to your name and your work ethic here? - I'm not too worried about it. Like I said, we'll get it right next week. - That's right, thank you for that. That's Parker. - Hey Parker. - Good life, good life that Parker. - Nice to go. - All right, Dana, we appreciate you. Take that in NFL Live, what we just learned from Parker right there. Feels like it's bears with us. - Feels like it's bears with us. - It is chilly, man. I'm telling you, I didn't know this. It's for really close to Canada. You know, Gumpy's just a two hour and 45 minute ferry away from hometown here, you know, across the sound into the water there. So it is closer to Canada than he could imagine. So far away. - Let's get another question. - Yes. - Oh, no. Dan, don't do this. - Yes. - Please do it. - And maybe you can answer this. Is it true because I got 14 year old sons and they were talking about this. You can walk from Alaska to Russia. Can we get a map up, please? - Depends on the time of year. - Yeah, I think there's a frozen. - I think there's a frozen road. - There's a frozen bridge, yeah. - I know on clear days, on clear days, if the sun is out, you can see from Alaska to Russia. - So you got to remember Sarah Palin, whenever she was running for fun, she said, "When you talk about international relations, I can see Russia on my back, you are." - That's what she said. - Does that blow your mind? - That like throughout history, the reason why we have Alaska is because it's proximity to Russia. - What do you mean? - Oil. - To the man. - Dan, just so you know that the shortest distance between the US and Russia is about two and a half miles, but in deep winter, the ice is thick enough you can, but not during the summer. - Yeah, you can do a penguin waddle across if you need it. - They say it's very, very dangerous though. - Here's another fun thing. - That's not a little bit like, I didn't know that. - Yeah. - Yeah. - Yeah. - There's a lot of stuff out there. - Yeah, if you didn't know that, you can definitely say, I didn't know that. - My kids were telling me about it when they were like, "Oh, what are your kids?" - This is a good segment. - Boys are free to eat. - The boys are 14. - You're the best. - Hashtag Lifehack. - Hashtag Dan did know that. - Hashtag Dan didn't know. - You knew that? - Oh, you can't know that. - Yeah. - Yeah. - Alaska. - It's not part of the show. - Oh, okay. - That's right. - Yeah, you're the best. - I don't think that's as universally known as percentages. - No. - We can't kill him for that one. - No. - I don't think we can absolutely murder him for that, but certainly something that as an adult, he shouldn't be learning from a 14 year old son. You know, I think he should have that one in the bag. We will continue here on this overreaction Monday as big day with big stress breaking down all that. - The big place. - He's next on his glorious overreaction Monday. Monday Night Countdown starts at six. We're live here in Seattle. The Chicago Bears come to town. AJ, anything you say to the people is we head digital. - I'll have a great time watching Shraggs after this one. - Well, Shraggs might be on ESPN since we've been on ESPN2. Oh, no, we might have blew the sea a good bye. - All right, nailed it. - Do we know if Big Shraggs is on ESPN2? - There's a girls basketball game that's been playing on ESPN1, I believe. I'm looking through the window. I can't tell who it is, come on, man. Can you tell me how. Let's call it true of South Carolina and-- - Oh, that's a good one. - It's Maryland. - This big kickoff, right? This is the first day. - Yeah, yep, college bagable starts today. - Excuse me, college bagable. - College hoops. - I go to hoops. - Yeah, big day with big shraggs on ESPN1. So we just threw it in something. We just threw something that's not supposed to. Whatever the case. - That's a good tilt. - That's a good tilt, South Carolina, Maryland. - Certainly, women's basketball, college basketball starts today. Is that what we're learning? - That and men's. I know men's, they started, they do like the 24 hours. They were teams playing at like 4 a.m. last night. - Oh, I remember that. That's always a fun thing to stay up for. I stayed up for those games. Gumpy to two. Gumpy, what was your favorite late night game last night? - All of them, I can't even remember. There were so many good ones. - Yeah, out here in Pacific time zone too. It's basically just, you know, midnight's 3 a.m. And it can really catch up to you. I, we're going through the schedule. We've been on Pacific time zone, central time zone for basically everything but Indiana and Philly last week. So, I'm going to hell over run here. Shout to Indiana getting a win. I mean, 60 for 60. What a crazy ending there. Minnesota kid hits one of the biggest kicks I've ever seen in my life. In Indiana. - Crazy. - During homecoming, you beat Iowa a week before that. What do you got? Oh, you got to hit an absolute Goliath ball to steal this thing. Hit it. How you doing? Keep it moving from 60, pure. Absolute beauty. I don't know why Indiana didn't bring it there. I think maybe they thought it was going to be a fake. I'm on Hermes and Shore. Didn't bring much pressure. Kind of let him sit back there and bomb it. And then, hey, you're going to have to answer. Back up quarterback comes in. Make some plays. They get into fuel goal range. Are they going to be able to do another? Insert Pat McAteer, I believe is his name. Comes in from Ireland. He had been one of three on fuel goals. I think he was one of their kickoff guys. - A long like 22. - Starting kicker, terrible operation. O for three on the night. In the Irish lad comes in and knocks home a 60-yarder to tie this thing and go to overtime. And in overtime, what Indiana has done is dominate quickly. Better, you got it. I'm the best catcher of balls in football. Indiana continues to win. And what a night Halloween was watching this on our phone as we're walking around in neighborhood in Indiana. So everybody in our neighborhood had it on our phones, basically. And when Minnesota hits that 60-yarder, it was kind of a devastating Halloween. There's a lot of bum bot, no way. Kid makes the 60-yarder. Everybody in the neighborhood celebrates. What a day. Congrats to the Hoosiers in Signeti. And Sig was asked afterwards what he knows about this team. He goes, I'll tell you, this team figures out a way to win, man. That's kind of what he's been saying about this team. He talks about them as if they're an entity that he's not necessarily a part of, but he oversees. This team, they just continue to win. I don't know how, I don't know why, but I love the way they pull it off. And then this leads to the question, I guess, that we're all kind of having. Who's great in college football? Who's great? Who's like in the big 10? The first college football playoff rankings are coming out tomorrow. This is the AP, top 25 pole congrats to Miami and Georgia and Utah still undefeated. Notre Dame hosting game day this weekend with Miami coming to town, top four matchup in South Bend. That's beautiful for ball. UCLA, they haven't really had to play anybody, but they beat, so is that their fault? I don't think so. Indiana now, we're a different quarterback. We've been battling against everybody, BYU. They lose the UCF. UCF gets their ass beat by Baylor. It's like, Kentucky, we'll have a couple of huge wins and have a loss. It's like, AJ, actually right now. I don't think we have a clue who's great. And I'm very intrigued to see how they fill up these 12 spots tomorrow just as a baseline agent. Yeah, the baseline of the first college football pole will be, think how many teams are going to be so pissed off. That's how it always works. We get it. But I mean, look at UCLA. Number five in the AP, top 25. From where they were, it's a pretty unbelievable turn around they have made so fast, but I don't know. I honestly, I'm not sure week to week, who is who, what's going to happen? And we all know, whoever gets into the top 12, make that college football playoff, who is healthy and who is playing their best ball when that time comes. And there's still a lot of games to be played between now and then. Yeah, you talk about trends and who's hot right now. It's like South Carolina's figure now to play football again. Shane Beamer was getting fired two weeks ago. He's getting boot off the stadium. Now, the North sellers are showcasing why he was one of the projected top draft picks. Miami, they're able to hang whatever they need to hang. But North Carolina gives them a scare. Tone, it's really-- how are they filling these 12 spots? Big 10 gets two teams. Is the big 10 going to have two teams, three teams? Is the SEC going to have six? How about the big 12, like, what is-- it's chaos right now in trying to figure out who's what in the college ball? Yeah, as far as we can remember, like this is absurd. Because for years and years, years, we knew the great teams. And they were going to be the same. Four great teams every single year. And this year is not that case. Obviously, you were looking here. Jayden, Miami, with an incredible play to the freshman tight end to beat Ohio State. And like, what is Ohio State? Because the committee has to take in Ohio State without Julian saying into that. And then, yeah, you talk about, have they looked great? No, but they're winning football games. There is not one great team out there. And the good thing is this upcoming weekend is going to be unbelievable. There's like 10 unbelievable games that I think is kind of a measuring stick weekend that is going to be a separation into the final three weeks of the season. When you look at all these games, the Holy War, Texas going on the road, UCLA going on the road in Minnesota, Alabama, LSU could be for a play-- that game right there could be for a playoff spot. Oregon could go to the shoe and knock Ohio State out of the playoffs. There's so many great games this weekend. You know, ending with Miami Notre Dame, which you'll be at on Saturday morning. This is-- I'm glad that this weekend is this weekend, because I think it's going to kind of build a clearer picture for us for the rest of the season. Yeah, and then is there a chance that a four-loss team after championship weekend is in the playoffs? Yes. I think there is. I think a three-loss team could go to a championship game, lose that game, and be a four-loss team, and still make the playoffs, because we don't have any really clarity across the country. Now, in the group of 16, Boise is what everybody thinks, right? Yeah. Boise? As of right now. I mean, what if they get hot? What if they get-- anybody could get hot, it feels like. And it's anybody's game. Miami Hurricanes have remained blemish-free. Got a little bit of a scare there from Belichick, though, Gumps. Yeah, our defense is a little bit worse, so everyone kind of blames the secondary. But my concern is the linebacker's not really getting after it in the middle there.
It was a lot of the tight end for North Carolina and Billy looking like Joe Montana on Thursday. I also, one team we didn't mention at all is Wake. They're sitting there at however 14. They've won 51, 7, 40, 1, 7, 57, 3 in the last three weeks. They are blowing out teams right now and because they're in the ACC and because they're Wake, they haven't been talked about yet. Now they haven't had that. They took Miami kind of down to the wire. So we'll see, but you know, Wake is one of those teams too. If you want to look at a second ACC team potentially in that situation. And huge congratulations to the Golden State Valkyries. Yeah. You broke champs. Yeah. Man, I don't think anybody would pick the Golden State Valkyries to win it all at the beginning of the season. No. Nobody would have picked. I did. I actually did. What? Yeah. Here. How do you know? I think someone got me. Someone was recording it. Yeah. Why? I saw them. I saw how they were working early in camp. Who do you think their best player was? They were doing great. For real. Look at them. Look how happy they are. Look at the culture. I watch El Duncan do the celebration in ceremony. It feels like they have a lot of inside jokes amongst their team. I like learning about team cultures, especially championship team cultures. It feels like the Valkyries had a very tight group, a group that was willing to fight. Are they going to be able to go back to back next year? All eyes are on the Golden State Valkyries and know that the fever are reloaded. Okay. Let's not even get it twisted. The Indian and the fever are going to come back better than ever. Congratulations to the Valkyries on their first WMBA championship and then the NBA. Everybody's still hurt? Is that what's going on, Connor? Yeah. A decent amount. But the stars are still showing up like as much as it is the 15% of the league or whatever the stat is. Now there's still kind of big names over the weekend. The internet was very loud for Jalen Brown. Again, that situation in Philly is what it is. But the league as a whole is still very powerful. We know the Memphis Grizzlies are six in no, which we are reminded every other day by Boeing sending something in the knowing cares about. But it does feel as though the NBA is fine. I Luca had like 45 and 15 last night. It was unbelievable. Yeah, Luca seemingly doing a okay. He becomes the first player in NBA history, probably WMBA history as well. 15 plus rebounds, five plus assists, five steals, and five three pointers made in a game. He also scored 45 alongside. He dropped 52 last week or something. Yep. Any 52 or something like that? Yaxle, Lendenborg had the most points for a Warriors rookie as well. Yeah. You have to get 37 points last night. Okay. So the NBA is cooking. WMBA is crowned their champs. The college football has got absolute chaos going on with its first of real rankings coming out tomorrow night. And then week eight of the NFL season wraps up with two Goliaths. Two teams that we assume are going to be around deep into January, maybe even into February. Bears traveling out here to take on the Seattle Seahawks. AJ Seahawks are favored by three. Think they get their running back back. We're watching for price activation as Adam Schaeftor alluded to earlier. The Chicago Bears might be coming into their own for the second time here with Caleb Williams a quarterback after his hamstring injury sidelines him for a few weeks. This week eight has been magnificent. Over time games, comebacks, high score and action, huge hits and obviously storylines in abundance. But whoever wins tonight, I think wins the entire weekend is maybe best team in ball. AJ, who do you like? How do you like it? Let me show you how you did yesterday. We're both batting it five hundred. Okay. All right. Big game. I need this one too. If you look down at the season record. There's a lot of ball left, but I'm looking like the Colts against you, AJ. You have been seeing it very, very good. Let's go to the Toxie table. First at Boston Conor and at Ty Schmitt. Ty, I know you're a Packer's fan. How do you see the Bears maybe taking on the champs tonight in prime time? Yeah, I actually do fancy the Bears tonight quite a bit. I think everyone just assumes that the Seahawks, you know, I mean, Dano said it good on good, but there's just something about Caleb Williams. And I'm very interested to see how Jeff Simmons kind of changes that defense. But I like what Pargo said. I mean, he mentioned it. You know, hey, it might be I listen. I know that they play in Seattle and they're used to it. But they call it bear weather for a reason. So I actually am going to take the Bears and the points. Okay. So Ty Schmitt says the NFC North is going to show up against the reigning Super Bowl champs. Con, man. How do you like it? I mean, kind of similar to Ty, the Patriots just played the Bears. So watch them last week and they looked really, really good. But Patriots have also played Seattle and when it gets to that kind of area, you know, that entire stadium lift and up, we talk about it being bear weather. I think if it kind of turns a little bit weather wise, that's actually Seattle Seahawks weather. Really, you mentioned, you kind of Mike McDonald's, you know, can you envision it when it is late in January and its rain and it's cold and they're uncomfortable. But we're, you know, right where we're supposed to be. I feel like it's going to be Seattle with the three, uh, could end up being the perfect number. That three is a little fickle, but Charbonne is back. Who knows if you see price, but Charbonne, Jay sends the best hard receiver in football. Sam Donald got hot last week again and what now he's going to have more time because Quentin Nelson's playing guard form. So I fancy the Seahawks at home. They made the chiefs look like a bat football team last week. Yeah, we got to remember what this dark side defense is like to other teams Caleb and Ben Johnson super geniuses. I like the way they play, but I also love the way McDonald, you know, drench gang done it in Indiana. You're not just covered. You drench. Okay. Let's get it one half of the hammer. Cowboys, AP tone, tone, who do you like tonight? I've got these teams, uh, as a coin flip. So I'm excited demon warriors, my favorite player to watch in the entire NFL and I'm excited to watch him go up against Caleb Williams. You know, the editions of, of Simmons to that defense, I would have easily taken Seahawks last week before this happened, because I would have thought they would have ran the ball against that Bears D line, but the difference is it's in Seattle. So I'll take Seattle. Okay. So we have two Seahawks, one Bears, AJ. We do have a correction to on the record, and I know you don't like us. Oh, no. I took the Lions. You took the Vikings dirty gave you a win on that one. I'm seven and five. You're five and seven, so yeah, that's tough. That's tough. Shout out. Back and did not take the coach, but I guess I will trust the graphic. I thought I took the coach. We also have another one. Yeah, we got another graphics all right. Yeah, Pat, you took the Chiefs, they lost, Huckle, you took the Broncos, uh, scratch this entire graphic. Oh, boy, okay, so we're tied again. Yeah, you guys are back to being tied, but who knows, we got a double triple quadruple, whatever, five times. Check this thing. I've seen that graphic six times this morning come through the group. You write those down every week? Yeah. I should have corrected it a little bit. I don't think this one's right either, I guess. This is the wrong one. Yeah. Yeah, we swapped the bottom. Okay, so AJ, we're back to being tied. Well, I'm back to where we started. We're good. Not the same way, but hey, Alcom, Oriented Business doesn't matter how we get here. We are tied. Halloween weekend. AJ, who's great weekend, by the way. I had so much fun with Mackenzie, man, trick-or-treats, this is my deal. Same thing with Pat. I actually was talking to AJ earlier. I said it was so cool being Saturday in a neighborhood when IU was playing, and that was happening because everyone was sitting in their driveways with their TVs, and that was like one of the coolest things of all time. Yeah, Minnesota hit net kick was devastating for the neighborhood. I mean, heart breaker, and then as soon as McAteer walks out there and buries that six-year-older, it felt like every house celebrated at the same exact time while we were all out there trick-or-treating. It was cool, cool weekend. Shot some Mackenzie shot there, but okay, AJ, we're tied. Who do you like? How do you like it? Got a couple of Seahawks back in the Thunderdome. Have a Bears supporter as well, and Ty Schmidt, he likes the NFC North. How about you, AJ? I love both these teams. I think they're both very, very good, but I think it is Seattle weather. It is not bear weather. I think this will be Seattle weather tonight. That defense will roll, and I think Sam Donnell will do just enough to get the win, by probably about six points. So give me the Seahawks minus three at home. Okay, you got the Seahawks minus three at home. I'll make my pick on my net count them. There you go. All right. I'm going to have to think about it though, because I really wanted to do what you had, but I thought I was seven and five all of a sudden, because the lines thing, and then I realized we're fine. You should work south, though, when you're forced into taking the opposite of me, it usually works out for you. Seahawks are your team, man. They are. Yeah, you're right. I don't know, because he just tied the tie. Yeah, true. Maybe so. I don't know where I'm at. I need to win. Take the team tour over or something. Jay said touchdown. All right. Let's figure we'll figure it out. Let's take a break on the other side. We got all the overreactions from the fans. A tie? How were the overreactions? Very good today. Very good today. A lot of tent pole teams in the NFL who just had dog-shy performances yesterday, so that's always good. Nice. Let's not take a break then. If they're really good, I'm excited. That makes me excited. That's first time Thai has said that in a few weeks. Yeah. Is that my first time? Yeah, I personally think over the last, because it's kind of just the same thing. A team wins, and it's like, insert team, you know, we're going to the Super Bowl. When a lot of teams either have bad losses or, you know, get their asses kicked, fans get really pissed. And today I actually felt like there was a little bit of juice and a little bit of heat. Okay. And this morning saying, hey, listen, we've arrived at another magical overreaction Monday. Why don't you use a tweet?
As your therapy session as an NFL fan let it all out you won't be judged actually celebrated all you got to use is the hashtag This one's from in the thunder don't this one's from Boston Conner. Oh hashtag. I don't over react There's been gritty wins in a history of ball, but the box winning without throwing a pass is assing high Must've been one of the worst watches in a history of the NFL Sundays But that doesn't matter. It's a friggin hard ass league man. Just get the win and move on to the next week Amen con man. The weather was ass watching it might have been asked But what a gritty tough win for that box defense in office. Yeah, a gritty tough win It's divisional and so they mean even more, but yeah, I couldn't even imagine having to be a fan of the Falcons or the bucks and putting this on On Sunday at one o'clock and actually watching the entire thing just a brutal brutal experience I'm sure four picks for pennix the falcons X section is once a once again back I saw some pretty pretty egregious tweets that probably shouldn't be read by these eyes But they were and they were hilarious, but good on the bucks They can win it anyway and the fact that they won without completing a pass is pretty cool I'm just glad I didn't have to watch it or you know and shout out to the 500 or so people in that stadium those people love ball Yeah, they certainly do they got a chance to see their team do something that hasn't been done since BC, you know, that's before Christ. So shout out to them and I appreciate the fact that you're saying that it sucks you have to watch this game took the coats off the four bucks First time long time yesterday. No move Took them off the way great how to redo it how to rebuild them get them off of there first time I've done that a long time We got nine games left still. Okay. We got nine more games of I just wonder if we just not send anybody out there because at this point if we were to trade or going to trade Jonathan Taylor if he gets hurt It's good. Yeah, not there were Josh Downs. Are we trading him? I guess he requested a trade Figures hurt We're screwed. You think they wanted to make those two look bad on that play We put a lot of hope in guys that are probably not gonna be cold. Yeah, hold on Danny Dimes trip JT here on purpose Started that today just trip him just a full comedy of errors. Hey, that's early. Look at a second quarter seven nothing only This would go on to be 42 seven. It was only seven nothing here You know, I'm both those guys probably not gonna be coats for much longer. You know, you really wonder like how much of these guys really I don't know. I'm thinking about the community and stuff. I just don't know I guess when you don't win Good luck to everybody. Let's go to another overreaction. This one's from mitt You know, he's one of the boys fans hashtag. I don't want to overreact but It's over for the boys Run defense non-existent everyone in secondary looks confused and the past rush is lack lesser to say at least GP disappeared for the first half and CD won't ghost him a second That is never winning a Super Bowl in his season is over blow it the fuck Oh, that says mint. Okay, that's a rational cowboys fan. It's got the next overreaction Shall we I feel like a lot of cowboys fans probably thinking that way. Tychement. Yeah, for sure The only brother some really good ones the only problem with most of the cow a lot of the cowboys overreaction It's just littered with spelling errors and the magical air so they don't make any sense. So we can't use them But yeah, all cowboys fans are pissed All right, let's get to some outside to thunder damn thoughts. This one is from AJ Darts league. That's not dog 69 Hashtag I don't want to overreact but the Indianapolis culture the but hole of the NFL All they do is pretty shite Fuck is to I'm done being a fan of an organization has no will to win from players that are front office Right that one done Carly a lot of people wondering what Carly's been doing down there on a sideline now that there's a A lot of losses happening in a row if we're doing something the same exact way every single week and expecting different results That seems like something that has not happened for a long long time We got a lot of good players on that football field the fact that we continue to lose Something's got to change something's got to give hopefully Carly's able to get to the bottom of it But I agree buddy We're worse than the worst team in the NFL We are the worst team in the NFL right now. Yep Fuck We'll get it right AJ At some point yes It's not an easy thing to do just Well actually no there's no guarantee you ever get it right to be honestly like we don't know like there's no And we know it's been You know ever since Andrew Luck abruptly retired. It's been you've been chasing been trying to figure it out But that's uh, yeah, there's no guarantee like that's the thing. It's it's a hard-ass league man We know that it certainly is in Carly, Kalen and Casey haven't had to do this ever before So we genuinely don't know I have faith that they'll be able to get a good sense of feel and all of Carly's research from the sideline Well, maybe help her pick somebody that doesn't suck, but it's like let's say we get the hires right Are we going to be able to get the players right because it feels like we did get the players right and we still weren't able to win. I just It's not good. I don't like any of it. Let's move along Let's go to at underpaid drawer. This guy needs more money hashtag. I don't want to overreact But Stay in school, Jeremiah Smith One more year at a high state will be better for your career in life than playing for the bum ass lifeless charger Don't come until hard-butt is cheating again might make Donald's is flippin burgers Josama Ben Horthy She's behind bars This guy got bin Laden in Osama Yeah, I mean this guy was he was not happy. I got a good chuck a lot of Josama Ben Horthy's so But yeah, they're not happy. Hey, same same deal every year You know how many times can you make excuses for all your linemen getting injured and It was just you know nice a little icing on the cake to have the mic McDonald You know flippin burgers wearing a McDonald employees uniform. So yeah, I mean, it's kind of just the same thing every week Man, oh boy, would it be tough to be a chargers fan right now? Yes, it's certainly what I just said the coats are the worst team in the league I'm sorry chargers fans. I do apologize. I guess we are riding alongside Life in the shite hole alongside you and that tweet is a perfect example of AI being so good In the hands of people who have really good brains or never knew they could do that again And if this guy can think of Josama Ben Horthy's he can certainly think of good graphics to create With chat GPT. Thank you for participating. We are sorry Jargers chargers fans. Let's go to the yeet and yinzer at our bibby 76 Hey holding up the shock out there hashtag. I don't ever react but The stillers of the hottest team big mics parents are gonna have the best seat in the house for the Super Bowl parade It's so lined drinks from the Allegheny River Jalen Warren is a bowling ball with teeth Starway to seven is near here. We go Stellers Down are you with the yeet and yinzer here pal? Yeah, it feels like it feels like the good old days, um, you know the offense and defensive line Or playing with their hair on fire you they talked about them drinking out of the Allegheny and I'm on and even the ock againy It's finally like they're playing sealer football again big mic brought that back He knows what that's like and it feels really really good. They are tackling people through the earth Through the whistle offensive line is dumping people on our heads. Yeah, it feels really good to be a sealer fan again Yeah, it does it feels like they can go on and when it stats are saying when they've started this hot before They've gone on and hoisted it and had a confetti shower at the end of it all Let's go to the next one as soon as from Joey Kennedy the fourth there's been three before hashtag. I don't want to overreact but Is that guard or minchew or football? Jesus Messiah sent by the football gods the air's owner to finally get Jake percent out of time See you never buddy minchumania is running wild in the desert brother 10 and seven playoff win brand new Cardinals Maybe a lot of big wins for Michael floor feels like they're putting up a good fight Gardner minchew is a stunt We've always said it is he enough to rally a team to make the playoff says the Arizona cardinals who knows? I believe Joey Kennedy thinks there's a chance a J what says you? Yeah, I think with garden minchew there's always a chance We know that now the question is what's it going to be like when gardener is you know the assume starter coming into the next two three weeks How do uh how do defense is trying to attack him? But I have faith in gardener. I love that are gamers guys are just gamers and get it done and find a way And that's why I feel like gardener has been going all the way back to problem He was five years old the guy was just coming in slaying the ball like this So you're saying that when defenses are preparing for gardener minchew might look a little bit different than know what this fourth quarter look like Against the cowboys. Yeah, it's definitely possible. I'm not saying he like he's not a completely different quarterback Then jacoby percent's not like you're going from like a triple triple option guy to a dropback passer But uh, yeah, I think it's it's Widely different when they have a full week to prepare for whoever is going to be in there now I'm not saying gardener's going to take a step back. It's just going to be a little more challenging probably I love minchew mania still running wild con man. He was down there in Jacksonville selling headbands Yeah, he came to the cults almost one of ABC South made it to a pro bowl This guy just keeps doing what he keeps doing minchew is special. I think we need to respect it Connor Yeah, absolutely respecting you mentioned like Jacksonville with minchew had felt like he was maybe becoming like a I don't want to say gimmick, but like you meant the headbands and the mustaches everything and then I don't know the last what five six years He's just kind of been all football the time. He's not in the van driving around doing stuff and posting on social media Like he's just honed in on playing quarterback and that's why he's still in the NFL
And he's still getting chances because they really did have no hope whatsoever. Jacobi Presets starts the second half, they go three and out. And then Minsch who comes in, touched out, touched out, touched out, touched out. I'm like, it really is remarkable. Hats off to the guy and for them to miss that extra point. And then, you know, kicked the punt the ball in overtime to get the ball back. And then still go down and when kicked the game winner just hats off to Minsch, you chatted Ryland to him and Michael for believing him. Great bounce back for Ryland. Ryland is at such an incredible year thus far. That Minsch extra point could have been the only thing he would have been remembered for. The fact that the boys got him another opportunity and he knocked it through, huge win for the Cardinals. Now let's talk about a team that has only one loss. And boy, it sounds like their fans are, are maybe in shambles. This is from gambling stormtrooper at Minnesota Craig hashtag. I don't want to react, but here comes the downfall of the Vikings. They're frauds. No way in hell should they be top of the air of sea north. Kyler can't do it. KFC lost his magic. And now is the time to rebuild trade everyone school my ass. AJ, I love fans. I love it so much. They were undefeated going into the weekend, but we all saw the offensive troubles. So whenever the Lions were able to kind of take advantage of that and get a big time win, I think Vikings fans with their eyes and bodies have been saying, this isn't real. This isn't real. And then they got shown that and now they're acting as such. Do you agree? Yeah, I do agree. Before this game, yeah, like you said, their fans are saying this isn't real. This isn't real. They're probably saying this is not sustainable. When does like, what do they say? When does the other shoe drop and we figure out who we really are? I think we, uh, all it took was one, one tough loss to get people really feeling that way. But I'm not sure which way the Vikings going to go. One way or the other, and it will be very interesting to see if they do add a quarterback. Ty, what were the Vikings fans overall sentiment? Was this very similar to what everybody was saying? Yeah. People tired of Kyler Murray, a lot of, you know, people calling Kevin O'Connell, Kevin O'Connor, con man, uh, with his offense. Yeah. I didn't love that. I didn't love that. But a lot of it was pretty much just like, it doesn't matter how good the defense is. If you score 17 points on us, like we, there's a good chance that we're going to lose the game. Crazy. What about Carl Wins? Why do they want to trade for a guy there? Carl Wins. Right there. 'Cause they see the roller coaster. I didn't even think about Carl Wins being on that team. That's on me. The first one was very defined about why would they want to trade for another quarterback? It's like, I don't know. It feels like that's the piece they've been trying to fill. I don't know. Maybe Kyler gets good though. We know Kyler has it in them somewhere. We know he has it in them somewhere. He leaves the card and was out there when in games. Oh, I don't want to get into that. Let's go to the next one. Rusty Shack at the Real Caleb 16. There's a fake one. There's the real one. Hashtag. I don't want to ever react. But Coach Reed is one of the greats, but his old ass needs a call quits. Is Walrus looking to ask, "Lost the Chiefs" that game last night? Maybe it's time to put down a playbook and a cheeseburger while he's at it. Gee! So, wee! You don't have a false start. They win that game, AJ. Is that what you're saying for Andy Reed, or is there a little bit through this? Maybe Andrew Reed has lost his fastball in a big moment. No, I don't think Andy Reed has lost his fastball. I mean, that's just tells you where the standard is for the Kansas City Chiefs. They're expected to win the Super Bowl every single year now. If they lose one game, everyone wants to fire everybody and say one of the greatest coaches of all time is doesn't have any more so now I'm not worried about the Chiefs. Write me, Twitch there, saves the Denver Broncos. Chiefs end up losing Sean Peyton and Bonix continue their historic run. And Chiefs fans are saying, "Get Andy Reed the hell out of my face." I'm done with it. A lot of season left, I guess, TBD on it all. This one's from Aiden Silverman at Sylvie_Cards. Hashtag. I don't want to overreact. What? The Raven season is over. No, the more, no wins. The O-Line is abysmal without Vega and the defense is absolute showy. 44 years ago, the only thing we can do to have a chance to make the playoffs is to trade for an elite quarterback named Joe Flacco. Marlon Humphrey podcast obviously keeps people guessing. We like Marlon up free. We appreciate what he does. But man, when you lose, it gets really loud over there. AFC North has a couple great teams and a couple teams of questions. Tony, is this guy, is Aiden right to say give up on the Ravens unless they trade for Joey Flacco? I mean, it's got to be so frustrating to be a fan of the Ravens because Lamar has obviously been one of the best quarterbacks in the league since he's come into the league. And to not have a Super Bowl and to have all the blown fourth quarter leads and now injuries are catching up. And like, you have nothing to show for anything at this point. It just has to be very, very frustrating for a Ravens fan because you've been so good for so long. And it's, it just hasn't worked out in the end. I, yeah, I, you know what, I feel, I feel bad for the Ravens. I really do. Wow. I'm sure you do. You're very happy to be where you're at with the Steelers. This is from Patton and Peyton Law hat at Zach underscore Blanton. Hashtag. But the heart attack and Horsey strike again. We need to start saying it. The Broncos is still the Broncos. Keep that in us. Boenix will keep winning when it matters right now. It was Jonathan Taylor and it's all right. Haven't even thought about the Broncos. They had 20 running wild for the Denver Broncos all over the place. Sean Peyton and Boenix able to get the job done. I love that this guy saying the Broncos is still the Broncos because last year the Broncos made it to the AFC championship and in that AFC championship didn't have their quarter back. The Davis way web as the play color was certainly a bit of a bummer for all of us who saw Boenix and the Broncos as a rising tide. After this win though, it's hard not to get excited about them again. Connor, you worried about this Denver Broncos team heating up in an AFC that sees Drake May going as well? No, not at all. Not even a little bit. Really? Probably a little more worried about the chiefs. But the Broncos, I mean, this guy, he kind of mentioned, they're still missing a piece or two on offense, you know, as a fan of a team that also has a very complete team that's been injured. That'd be my biggest worry when it comes to Denver, you know, of Waddle and Sutton need to keep them healthy. But if Sean Peyton and Boenix do continue to go, it will be a challenge to go all the way to mile high because it is very tough to play there. Yeah, I think the Broncos are going to just continue grinding teams out here. I think it's a skill. I don't think it's something that's luck. Now, the football gods have not necessarily blessed all the teams in the past that have stolen one score games. Broncos are in the middle of the run. Maybe they continue to keep it going. Let's go to Matthew Bevington at Matt underscore Bevington. Hashtag, I don't want to overreact, but football sucks. The Browns gave me hope and then they dropped a shit and failed to show up against the Steelers. Browns are back to Browning. I tried to have a second team this year and they suck. They have a bay look like the Browns. Matthew, this is good news, not a bad news. But the Browns fans given up after that loss to the Steelers, fascinating stuff. It's almost like they were waiting till they could mong-can't instead of mong-can. AJ, should the Browns fans be given up on them? No, you need to lose a couple more games before you officially give up on the season. Think of where you're at now if you're a Browns fan compared to what it's been like lately. You still should feel pretty good about it. I think the Steelers team is much better than others may talk about and like eight sacks no matter what. That's not all on the Browns. That's a lot of the Steelers absolutely coming after him and having a good scheme and executed. So no, I think the Browns will be okay. Well, and there's a little chirpy, chirpy from the Cleveland Browns, you know, verse brand new to the rivalry. And the Steelers fans seemingly gobbled all that, our Steelers players gobbled all that up and took it as real motivation. Whenever like four or five guys all reference the same thing, it's like, oh, that made its way into the locker room. And that was certainly utilized as motivation for the boys. And I hope that type of energy continues ton digs because it was fun to watch the Steelers play like this yesterday. Yeah, it was awesome to watch it. I opened my Instagram this morning and every single Steelers player had the him getting dumped first getting dumped on his head on their story. So yeah, they they heard it this week. They used it this week. They got after Deshaun. They only allowed them 34 rushing yards. They allowed 18 rushing yards last week. So yeah, the D line heard it and they got after him. Here's the top of the AFC North. Let's head to the NFC North David Rocky at Hoss underscore buddy hashtag. I don't want to react, but these lions are putting together a run. Everyone started a season saying our window was closed, but Gibbs golf and the boys have slammed that thing all the way back open. Go lions. We the kings of the North hashtag one pride. Once again, waiting on an update about Jack Campbell, but what the lions have done. Their golf is in an MVP conversation. Jamir Gibbs, potentially offensive player of the year and the defense that we thought was a sieve was able to get some big time stops against the Viking. So much so that they're wondering if the Minnesota Viking should trade for a quarterback. Good for you, Foxy. The window seemingly all the way back open for the lion. Yeah, I'd be lying to you guys. If I thought the window, I was questioning where we were in that status there, but this game right here tells me that this team can make a run and win a Super Bowl because the offensive line was so good. And we were able to run the ball. When they knew we were going to run it, that reminds me of the Ben Johnson days. And when you can do that as a team, I can trust. And then I got to give credit to the defense that are playing a lot better. And then also offensive coordinator drew pet scene down up insane plays like this one. Look where Almond Ross is set up here. I don't know where he got this one from, but quick stream over third down. We get the first. It leads the points. It's been awesome to see on that particular play. Yeah, Chip Kelly's bringing it back. I think he was 4D at the tight end position this past weekend.
the thing, Senegal wide open. Canadian football league obviously has this arena league has this. This is a very good throw by golf. Yeah, hand great. That's very tough to execute that play. Yeah, you got to hit him in full speed. If that's behind him, yeah, right. That has to be literally inscribed. You have a quarterback that can hit people that are moving targets. You can put it in a bucket. What a play design. Hopefully they continue to cook because we remember when Ben Johnson was there. This was the normal. Every third down, they had something special. Every red zone they had something special. That's where we all got captivated with the lions. Maybe they're all the way back. There is an update about Jack Campbell coming out from the Detroit Lions Twitter account at Lions. Jack Campbell continues to rest and recover at a local hospital. Preliminary indications are positive and out of respect for Jack and his family. We will not share further information at this time. Okay, I like to hear the word positive. Obviously, we will all keep an eye out for any updates out of Detroit. That is a scary situation. Our thoughts and prayers are with everybody over there. AJ, you're the absolute man. Thank you for traveling out to the Thunderdown brother. Appreciate it, man. Have fun tonight. It should be a great game. Yeah, shout out to the Compton Country Club getting a hat that can fit your big ass head. Yeah, one or two, one or two snaps on the back. Yeah, got a double eye tell us. So we appreciate that. Talk to the table. Good work, boys. Happy overreaction Monday. I appreciate it. Yeah, brother. Go to AP time. Boys in the back. Great work. Gumpy. Gumpy. Thank you for the hospitality up here in the Pacific Northwest. Powell. It's been a great time out here. Good to be back on the Pacific Northwest, my friend. A lot of wood in a lot of the restaurants. What a wood. Oh, it's cool. A lot of wood had some chowder last night. Oh, it's last night. We want the dukes seafood. Steve's friends dad is Duke took us by here. Obviously, yeah, Steve's got connections around everybody. You forget Stanford does actually have connections everywhere. Sure. Yeah. He's Stanford Steve. Yeah. Hey, Los Hopes. You guys go to the Blarney Stone. We drove by the Blarney Stone, actually. That was almost Sunday night football. Instead, we want the Duke seafood because Stanford Steve got a set up up there. But it's beautiful up here. It's glorious. And tonight should be a spectacular wrap up to week eight of the NFL season as the bears travel out to Lumenfield to take on the Super Bowl champion Seahawks. All right. I'll see you guys tomorrow back in the Thunder. I can't wait to get back to you, boys. It's everybody that's set up here. Thank you so much. Great work. Incredible work. It is cold as hell up here. So thank you for sitting through. Thank you for making this happen. And let's enjoy the hell out of this life. Congrats, everybody. The one if you lost. Sorry about it. And if your team's absolute shite, there's still a lot of season left. So figure out how to enjoy the hell out of misery. That's kind of what life is, isn't it? Finding the good amongst all the bad and hopefully we'll continue to be able to do that because all of you. Let us do it. We love you. We appreciate you. All right. We'll see you. Okay. Yeah, tomorrow. All right. Be a different television. Something nice about change of life. We're missing the other team on me. Monday night count down six o'clock Eastern. We appreciate everybody for watching. Should be a hell of a night here in Seattle as we celebrate the shit out of ball. Team on me, team on three for the good of ball, baby. One, two, three, take it. Goodbye.
