PMS 2.0 1654 - MNF Recap, Rece Davis, Adam Schefter, Peter Berg, Darius Butler, & AJ Hawk

The Dallas Cowboys delivered a commanding victory over the Philadelphia Eagles in a pivotal NFC East showdown, fueled by an explosive offense featuring Javonte Williams and George Pickens, and a solid defensive effort led by Joey Porter Jr. Despite early injury concerns and a depleted Eagles squad, the Cowboys showcased their depth and resilience, proving they can compete with elite teams. The game highlighted the importance of healthy rosters and effective coaching, with head coach Mike Shoffner demonstrating leadership amid pressure. In parallel, the Milwaukee Brewers executed a dominant postseason run through a disciplined, contact-focused offensive strategy, outperforming Tampa Bay with consistency and minimal mistakes. Their success underscores a growing trend in baseball of prioritizing execution over power hitting. Meanwhile, college football saw major developments, including Quentin Nelson’s trade to Seattle and injuries to key players like Dante Moore and Camario Taylor, signaling a season of volatility and strategic shifts. The NFL and college football alike are evolving with analytics, player health, and market dynamics shaping roster decisions. These developments reflect a broader trend of adaptability and innovation across sports, where team chemistry, player health, and strategic foresight are now decisive factors in success.

Hello beautiful people and welcome to our humble de bow the draft Kings Thunderdum on this big sports Tuesday October 27, 2026 this sports program begins now Is the greatest week seven of the NFL season wrapped up last night in Philadelphia as the Dallas Cowboys put it on the Philadelphia Eagles in the second half it became a little bit of a runaway early for the Philadelphia Eagles Saquon Barclay was back after a handstring strain and then he would hurt himself again We all saw it happen Saquon Barclay incredibly explosive even he at his 70% level is better than most people at their 100% because of How damn good of a running back he is an early in this prime time Monday night football NFC East clash You know winner this game would be one and a half games at a leading the division Giants have a buy and then two division games on the other side So JJ McCarthy error if it continues to go well the Giants remain in the driver seat if they lose a couple games There's a chance winner of this game could go get it early. We thought holy hell Tanner McKee is gonna be able to give the rock Saquon Barclay and then there was a couple times where it looked like he was Maybe dragging his leg right there. He'd walk off of the next drive look like he was a little bit slow He said he had something happened to his back and his hamstring and then that was really what a lot of us gave up Hope Tanner McKee gave up a little bit of fight, but the Dallas Cowboys did some stuff that we expect from the Dallas Cowboys CD-8 that press got one crazy Javonte Williams had a hell of a night and George Pickens has one of the greatest catches We have seen hey this season the ability to get his feet in there both of them is just absolute masterclass in Artistry of body control GP is a freak and whenever he is on he's on and he was challenged a little bit this week because they're saying He wasn't blocking. He wasn't giving his best effort a lot of the team was challenged and they showed up and delivered are the Dallas Cowboys now Going to go on a run in the NFC East they defense proved that they're not complete ass or shite Joey Porter junior played phenomenal The offense was able to get the job done in Philadelphia. He goes loose. Is that a fire so hmm? Dallas Cowboys back in it in that NFC East that we think is all absolute shite They delivered a hell of a game felt big. I was lucky to be there the environment was electrifying getting a chance to chat with Jerry Jones and Monday night countdown is first time I've ever talked to him first time I've ever talked to Jerry I've seen him act. I've seen him do some business. I've seen him make some great decisions. I've seen him make some terrible decisions I've learned about him from high school Yeah, sure I know a lot about this guy. I've studied his American dream story his billionaire riches his going all in and One of my favorite quotes from Jerry I was watching. I think I was in high school when it happened He was doing some sit down. Maybe a Joe Buck at the time or something and he said, you know Some people who see that water in front of the green and it's a power five and they decide to go in to lay that thing up And then they're gonna chip over and they're gonna try to put to get this power I go for the green ever a fucking time and I've never heard somebody relate to me more than his had success He goes all in with the Dallas Cowboys turns it into this massive brand that becomes this mogul becomes this man Who's notorious for making big brash bold decisions and be very vocal about it? So getting a chance to chat with him was very cool. I will say he did he does know of our program I think he says he has watched it before. Wow, he's been very kind and maybe we get him on show Ooh, he'd be great. He's Jerry Jones in person on the show But him talking about what they've done in the past against a backup quarterback and his optimism about what this year can be Felt good for the Dallas Cowboys after a couple miserable weeks down there even an employee was talking shit on deck after a game a couple weeks Yeah, yeah, it feels a little bit different now for them and the NFL is always brewing college football has another Weekend ahead that's going to highlight the Indiana Hoosers as Minnesota comes the town college game day will be down in Bloomington We've Reese Davis joining us here in about 30 minutes or so for Reese's pieces From the past weekend in college football. There's a lot to talk about. Yep. It is chaos What's his AP top 25? He'll show it to us and review it to us and then we'll also have one half of the hammer Cowboy AP tones Above average pole. Yep debut as well. There's been a little bit of movement around some lower areas But up at the top feels like everybody kind of agrees with one thing and that's the The you might be all the way back the one in Miami the toxic table is here at Boston Conner and that Thai Schmidt con man Teams last night we thought were shite put on a hell of a game felt like there was fireworks felt like the Philadelphia Eagles had a chance And then once the Dallas Cowboys started pulling away Overshow made it a highlight you know the offense was spectacular felt like it was fireworks even though it got ugly late there Yeah early on yesterday I think I said to the boys hey, this might be an ugly 17 14 game You haven't seen much from Dallas to make you think that they can really go and then Philly Obviously, they're kind of depleted from injury and trades and things like that and then the Cowboys do what I think we all think They could do throughout the entire year, you know, they have such a complete offense that when it doesn't look like it did last night You're kind of shocked but when CD and pickets and Javance are going the way they are they've really didn't even use Jake Ferguson that much Which I know is a player that a lot of Cowboys fans don't love too much right now But he was blocking his ass off on that play right there. He blocks three different guys He's blocking a different guy into the end zone I mean it was remarkable to watch some do their thing and then Defensively it's been tough you could say but even just holding the team to 21 points wasn't so bad one half for the hammer down Nape tone cannot wait to hear about your poll and your thoughts on the gambling last night But before you get into the defense. Let's bring in nine-year NFL vet Darius Jay Butler debutch obviously you played every single position in a second Do what did you see from the Dallas Cowboys defense last night that makes you say hold the phone I forgot Quinn and Williams was such a game record. He was in there doing his thing doing his dance Which we certainly love Joey Porter Jr. Seemed to be locked on out there doing his thing Do we like where the Dallas Cowboys defense was last night or What try a concept pretty much a trip and say that they I mean they won the game that they were supposed to win But I mean the last two times they were out there. They didn't so that's it has to be a good feeling for them And like you mentioned early with the Giants having a firm hold on number one spot right now was almost like a must win So I felt much bigger than most games at this point in the season But I mean if this Dallas Cowboys team Specifically talking about the defense can stay healthy. You saw that fantastic play from over strong like that's an unbelievable play from anybody with defense Especially a linebacker. He can make splash plays when he's out very healthy Availability has been his thing. Quinn and Williams you mentioned it Vaughn Miller. So you had to have him up. Talk to him a little bit for the game making plays that'll be good for them JPJ, you know them getting JPJ Joey Porter Jr. He's been fantastic for that secondary Caleb Downs can stay healthy and start making the plays that we expect them play they have the pieces Christian Parker petting came out of retirement I expect them to figure out at some point in the season and then all those weapons on offense I expect them to have fireworks especially if they could have any similance if this run game that they had last night Would you want to William? So the Cowboys can be just like we say every offseason going into the season They can be that team that can make a run in but if they they got to start hitting stress and at some point They got to start doing it on all phases of the game. Yeah, can they be consistent? Yeah, you know That's that's kind of the question. I forgot Brandon Aubrey's the best kicker in yeah in NFL history at this point now Adam Venetary the goat. I will say best kicker of all time though at the at this day Brandon Aubrey guy who comes in as a soccer player and he was in the U.S. XFL. Mm-hmm. That's right. Oh, yeah He was a couple of years. Yeah, he was it. It was a number of which one? It's happened 100% on me great soccer player though It's in there does this thing goes to Dallas Cowboys. Just never misses and watching them warm up last time It's fun. Get a chance. Just kind of watch them do his thing so casual dude Just absolutely casual and in those big games at some point. You're gonna need your kicker to make a kick absolutely It's like they got the kicker. They got the offense the defense is the biggest question mark But you got names across the board over there. So you'd assume at some point. I mean, obviously, too Like they have the pieces and the players, but they haven't shown that production weekend and we got so I mean It's all the question mark right now. Honestly, but the cobwebs and it was funny when I was asked you to ask Troy Like, hey, you know, what do you take away from me? He's ah, you know, that's kind of what they were supposed to be because the Eagles team were depleted But we see it every week and NFL whether it's a backup quarterback or some star players out And you're like, okay, this team their favorite by six happening and they somehow some way they figure out how to either make it a game or actually win the game So to come out and win the game that you're supposed to that also feels good as a locker room and then at some point you're gonna be challenged Yeah, and shot he was challenged a lot. Oh, yeah, shot he was challenged a lot They were saying he was a guy who didn't know how to call place his prime time record was obviously put on display 17 and one and we said a cop was a lot in prime time. Oh, yeah, shotty to be 17 and one I don't know how that wasn't really talked about until last night and then he does what a two-minute or four-minute press conference when it's normally 10 minutes It's like I like shotty with a little bit of revenge a little bit of spite a little bit of a chip on his shoulder people Wondering if he can get the job done as a head coach for the first time. Another thing Jerry said last night is I tell me I'm very hands-on I asked him if he's hands-off in the middle of season. Oh, man. You think of him? You said you know me? In their pal, he said I asked him if his dad you thought he ever got any criticism You know if that's part of the job or not He said he got his ass attacked basically is how he described it He's like, that's what I reminded shotty. It's like he has faith in shotty that team love shotty And remember we thought going into the season the team were running extra sprints Remember they were choosing to run extra sprints whenever they were at training camp with the Los Angeles ramps Now the Rams are at that time are preparing for that Australian game You know, so they were living a little different life at that point But the Cowboys were running sprints felt like everybody had shotty's back Media and people started attacking shotty a good bit for being a play call or head coach a leader. How is this team like this? They come out and show up in a big way against a division rival I think that was a good way no matter who was playing for the Eagles. Jalen Carter. Where's he been? Or is that a question defense bet? That is for real. I do wonder what the hell is going on over there Now once again Dallas Cowboys offense. There was a couple plays there I don't think any defense will be able to stop that catch from joy I mean just absolutely hysterical that he has that type of body control and whenever there's like a slither of all their color in between the white side, he did it on purpose first of all. But for it to work out that perfectly on that night with everything was being said about George as well. I like the way this team rallies. I like the way they battled together tie. I'm a big fan of what this Cowboys team did last night. Yeah. I mean, you know, for all of our sakes, it'd be nice if they could kind of put things together because like you said, we are going to be seeing them on prime time kind of no matter what the case is. So, you know, they're just, they're, they're, you know, Dr. Jekyll and Mr. Hyde. It's one week they look great the next week they look like absolute shit. But on the other side of it, like with the Eagles, I mean, you talk about the sky just completely falling. Like, I know this won't happen and it's nothing against him. But with the way that division is, like if you're Philadelphia, we talked to Chefty yesterday and he said, you know, like they're never going to be sellers with how he roseman. I know Kirk is going to continue to start, like they should, they should call the Raiders about seeing if they can get Kirk cousins because the season's not over with how that division is. But no offense to Tanner McKee, but it's just like they, they, they're probably trending towards a top 10 top five pick. If he continues to be their quarterback, they need to do something and who knows, you know, if they trade for like a Kirk cousins, maybe Sequans, Hammy or whatever he's dealing with, maybe that's not an eight week injury. Maybe that's only a four week injury, you know, I just like, if they really are going to kind of go after things here, like it, it, it, it seems crazy to think that the Eagles are at, before Halloween, like their season's over already. Kirk cousins is the starter for the Las Vegas race. For now, Clint Kubiak has come out and shut down all Fernando Mendoza rumours. Here he is. All right. I just want to start with, you know, I want to let you guys know that at Kirk is our starting quarterback. There is no controversy. There's playing at a very high level and he's got to continue to do that for us to win and we got to keep helping, helping, you know, all the areas around him. So I'm excited for him to go play here against the Jets and I'll take any of your questions. Said they have a plan for Fernando, but not a timeline, I like that because that's kind of ominous. Yeah. We have a plan but not a timeline. Genius. We got ideas, but not necessarily a strategy. Well, no, when we know on that note, Kirk cousins are starting quarterback. He's going out there again. Kirk had to answer questions as if he wasn't going to be the starter anymore. He handled it professionally. But to your point, he can operate in offense, you know, he can get you down the field if you need to. And whenever you mentioned Tana McKee, he about struck his head. Do you see him? I don't know if you saw him. He did a big. Oh, it is. It's in a tough spot. You know, last week's the first start in like a nine week 18 kind of throwaway game. And then you second start comes on prime time against the visual. And honestly, he didn't play that bad, especially without, if say, Quon stays in that game, I think this is a good game. It comes down to probably like a two minute drive. So he didn't play terrible. No divine. There's up side. No divine. So you got, you don't have your top weapons up weapon out there on the outside. You do have Joe, Joe Milton behind him. But yeah, I think I think Tana McKee will be okay. I don't think he's the issue. Like you said, it's the guy when you have a backup quarter, but they put up 21 points. You got a backup quarterback and then you got, you know, however many million dollars on that front line, you got cool pool's plan for money. You got Quon, y'all meant choose one of the best corners in league. Those are the guys that have to step up. We get 21 points with a backup quarterback. We got to find a way to win this game easier said than done. But yeah, I don't think Tana McKee is the big problem. Even that pick you through that was an unbelievable play by overshoeing. So Tana McKee's, he's not, yeah, he saw it's probably Tana McKee. You're not leading him. Yeah, he had a solution either, you know, I mean, I guess that's what we're at, right? Yeah. Well, the Philadelphia Eagles in the city of Philadelphia, I think you need to have the solution right now all the time. Well, so it's not like they're going to be waiting around the fans on at least. You know, we mentioned yesterday, Shepter, the Eagles going to be sellers if they lose the night. And he flipped that quickly and said, no, they're buyers, actually, always buy it. Yeah. Always looking for a good deal to buy to buy to buy to buy. It's like this year doesn't seem to go that way. And to your point about the defense, Philly is allowing 371 yards of game. That's most by any Vic Fangio defense since the 2003 Texans. And remember when he was with the Dolphins, they were saying it was Fangie over. He goes to the Eagles wins, wins way to everybody. Yeah. That's what's crazy. Wins wins. They have all this money on defense. And like, Javante Williams, if there's one thing, you know, Cooper Gini mentioned he's playing for money, Quinty on Mitchell's Grape, like CDLam and George Pickens, they're both, you know, top 10 top 15 receivers, like on their D line, they have all this money and they spent everywhere and, you know, they spent first round picks across their D line. You mentioned how often you need four, you know, first rounders on your D line, just because of how teams are. I mean, one of the top five's yesterday was the pound the rock air is back and for them to run all over the Eagles the way they did, they paid their middle, Zach Bond, their middle line back to MVP. He was the defense player. The year conversation. Yeah. And then Jordan Davis and Jalen Carter and Nolan spent all these guys and for them to get run over like that, like that's what's so shocking with the Fangie over defense, which is now may be. So your point 97 rush yards between the tackles last night for Javante, okay, right down the throat. Here we go. We're doing this career high and everything else. Congratulations to him. We were right behind him in the warmups and, you know, getting a chance to walk on the field there for money night countdown and just see, you know, just kind of like see, you can feel, you know, you can kind of feel it, can't you, you can feel it, you can feel it. You can feel it. You can, you really can chase it too whenever you go, you forget how big Dak Prescott is. So I mean, it's dude's calves, like actual, I don't know what the right sports ball would be. Maybe a softball. Softball, softball. Huge. And then quads gigantic. And then you forget just how big of a, like a free Catholic Dak Prescott is because all he does is spin it all the time. Yeah. How days. But it was hard not to just look at him and be like, Dak is on, he might run. It feels like he can use his legs, especially in a desperation night, which they, it was a must win for the Dallas Cowboys. He does get a couple of scampers scores on the ground. It's like they can still unlock that entire aspect to that offense if they want. Might not because of the hit, obviously, and everything that has happened to him. And he's a mature vet now and he can throw the ball so well. But it's like, they are wide open whenever it comes to what they can do offensively, which is why everybody was asking shot at why the hell they weren't. Yeah. And if they can get a figured out, going forward, Dallas Cowboys could be a problem. There's some magic happening in the baseball world, Ty Schmitt, the Milwaukee Brewers, the Missed Team. Yes. Yeah. Skipper Murphy's team. Mm-hmm. Big Skipper. I would say friends of the program, McGill's team. Yeah. A Milwaukee Brewers, I'd say friends of the program. Yeah. They're about to sweep the World Series. We turned the game on last night and as we're flying back, it was seven, nothing already. I didn't know that I missed a fifth inning that was just with two outs, a run show for the Milwaukee Brewers. How are they so good? Why are they so dominant? And I thought Tampa was going to be a good team because they play similar styles. And it feels like Milwaukee style is just better than everybody else's style, Ty. How do we get to this point of them sweeping and sweeping and sweeping their way to a World Series? Yeah. I was shocked that it's been this dominant for them. One thing, you know, before we get into even the baseball as the Brewers fans traveling down to the top in Florida, which is a very tough place to play and they completely took it over. So, you know, like, it was, it was basically a Brewers home game on the road, which is incredibly tough to do. In terms of, like, what, why their style is working, they're just relentless. I mean, it just, it doesn't matter what you do. In the first couple games of the series, you know, Tampa would score a run. The Brewers immediately respond and score one. So you think you have a little bit of a cushion and then it's like, okay, we got to kind of tighten back up here. And then it's kind of what we talked about all season with a lot of teams want to hit the home runs. You look at the, you know, they had seven consecutive hits with two outs scored a bunch of runs. And none of them were, you know, they're not ripping balls into the gap. They're not hitting homers. They're just finding holes everywhere. One through nine, everyone in their order contributes, can hit, can hit the ball to all parts of the field. They just, they don't make mistakes. We kind of knew their offense was capable of this. And then the big thing is their pitching has been absolutely lights out. Like, everyone wants to talk about the Miz and rightfully so. But he, you know, it's not like he didn't throw eight innings in his first start. Their bullpen has come in. And it's one of those things with the Brewers because they don't make any mistakes. And they get out to leads like this and they start rolling like they are inevitable. It's very, very difficult to stage a big comeback on them. So they're just, they're rolling right now and it does feel like, boy, Tampa's going to need a miracle to come back. Okay. So I know the percentages are low. Speaking of percentages, talk to me, like how Hanbo has to speak to Dan Arlovsky. Uh-huh. Uh-huh. Uh-huh. Uh-huh. Uh-huh. Uh-huh. Uh-huh. Uh-huh. No. At least. That was tough. Just swallow it. Yeah, exactly. He's brave. He was out too. He's out there. Left his jacket still. Yup. Guys, guys, question. Yeah. That's all it takes. Yeah. And then, hand to God. He said, let me get, let me get fucking God in this next time we say no. You don't ask questions. Don't ask question, Dan. We've learned from this. 100% of the time you do this, Dan. It becomes a terrible thing for you. But if you could talk to me, like that's it. We love Dan, by the way. Yeah. He's a man. I don't love him. Hmm? I don't. I'm going to be honest about that. Hey, that you're alive. Yeah. I appreciate you doing it. We're still in his favor. Yeah. Most of us love him. We love him. Yeah. We love him. We understand where you're coming from. People love him. I don't, yeah. We are the people. Yeah. Yeah. We love him. Speak to me why Campbell has to speak to Dan or Laski about percentages. Okay. And making everything comparable to each other out of a hundred. He's just in case you know. Yeah. Gotcha. So you can kind of do that. Yup. What does everybody do with brewers, though? I watch this video from the outfield that they put on social. And it's like sick video by the way what we're capable of doing doing right now with editing technology in the brains that people have in the creativity like unbelievable video has kept me engaged. I watch all their hits from the fifth inning boom right here in this. I think that's the only error right there. Every other hit feels like it was like perfectly placed. So can everybody that makes the time let I was at Utah Jazz game. One out early for the warmups. Shout to Ryan Smith and invite the entire college game day crew out there to come experience the jazz. We got chance to watch him warm up. These guys don't miss okay. Every NBA not every NBA guy we watched who was it for the next miss miss. You know we don't know what's going on but we are watching the warmups. They made everybody on the court was making every single shot just weren't jumping wasn't a jump show were just like kind of just warming up everything was falling. If you make it to MLB everybody can make contact with the baseball. So why doesn't everybody play the course if you will and just get it make contact it do they just have much better hitters than everybody else. This is an abnormal thing to be able to make contact the way that they do and consecutive ways that they do like what why are they seemingly playing small ball. But why is small ball not the way to do baseball like that is a real that I don't understand that I think is a small ball not easy to do or can everybody in everyone is capable of doing what they're doing because yes most if you make it to the MLB you can hit it to all parts of the field. And obviously things change and it gets harder when you got a guy who's throwing 100 miles an hour and you know it doesn't really work out like that but this is largely like an analytics based philosophy thing that kind of changed maybe like 10 years ago in the MLB where everything they want it you know you always hear like exit velocity and stuff like that so like they won't and launch angle they wanted teams to hit the ball harder and hit it higher to try to hit more home runs because a lot of a lot of teams are just built that way they spend all the money and a lot of it has to do with like ballpark dimensions like like I mentioned earlier for example the Yankees they have a short porch to right field so which is why they have eight left handed hitters in their lineup they're basic their strategy is we're going to bludgeon you to death like we're we're going to try to just assault you with home run after home run after home run because it plays to our lineup and our home field home field park. The Brewers don't have a bunch of home run hitters they don't have that luxury so like last night they batted 390 so if we want to do the statistical thing out of every 100 at bats they're getting 39 hits we always talk about in baseball if you bat 300 you're a hall famer I don't know what the average is off the top of my head but I would guess the league average for teams you know every 100 at bats is somewhere around probably like 240 like so most teams are not putting the ball in play the way they are they're trying to hit a bunch of home runs which typically yields to more strikeouts or pop outs or stuff like that they're perfectly fine with hitting these little bloopers down the right field line down the left field line even that's a completely different swing though right it's not like they're swinging for home run not swinging out of your shoes yeah what like how it's going to threes yes lay ups and threes like they don't want the mid ring like we grew up with great mid range players and then the analytics said hey that that's not a good shot anymore get to the roomy to get filed get a dunk get a lay up or shoot a three you know the warriors kind of change that that I guess turn into their money ball but that's kind of just how sports have just unfortunately taken the turn that's why her herby you know if it's all pissed off about how the game has been but I assume monkey see monkey do just like in the NFL how we've gotten back to a run game because the Eagles believe it or not for years back sake one barkley had they had more rushes than passes on the season and sake one won them the superbolts of the change there because the brewers win here will more okay final question just about the operations home run hitters the best hitters in the world right we assume some okay so shorbo right hit 50 home runs a year yes okay which is what they're paying him to do okay shorbo could shorten his swing just to make contact like is that a different swing like going for a home run verse like just going for contact like shorbo could if he wanted to he can make contact every single time we assume because I'll get a battery is for the most part so you'll hear a lot of times when like a guy has two strikes on him you shorten up your swing you choke up on the bat and you go with like a contact approach as opposed to and that's what the brewers are doing it only they're not doing it when it's just oh two they're going at all the time their whole philosophy is put the ball and play like let's put pressure on the other team let's put pressure on the defense like ball so yeah it is money ball essentially and like the so the in the fifth inning when it's when they're up to oh and the bases are loaded like price to rank hits that one up the middle and this is just like the you know the margins of baseball to if that doesn't get by and he gets that you know then you get out of that inning and they don't score two runs but like that's a contact approach whereas a lot of teams hey we have the bases loaded here like let's try to break open this game like we we don't want just maybe one run on a seeing eye single here like let's try to get something really hard into the gap or hit home or and then guess what we're not up three nothing we're up six nothing and then they're screwed essentially trying to come this swing right here when the shortstop is kind of towards second base and he's kind of just slapping at the other not this one the one right after it and he's kind of just slapping it the other way is the perfect depiction of what the brewers do and kind of how they win these these games this swing that's about to come up now can't remember who is at the plate and do it but he's just a little bit like a little slap the other way like because you can see them holding the runner on that situation and they're kind of playing the pole because he's left in that situation but he's kind of slapped it the other way yeah but slapping it is an easier swing than a home run swing because I'll pure you have to be able to hit the ball yeah and they are saying hey listen let's get on base and then let them work this right and they're not telling guys like hey don't hit a homer you know like these guys like I did hit one yeah these guys are all good enough we're like if they get a fastball groove down the middle and they put a good swing on it every one of these guys is capable of hitting a homer but it's like the like that situation pitches away or it's like they don't try to do too much with this like you don't need to pull this down the line you see where the short stops playing he's holding the guy on it's second poke this one through the infield will score a run and we'll just keep going and keep going and keep going but teams won't do that like the Yankees for example like they would have to change everything about their lineup and who they have in their personnel they're just teams of kind of pigeon hold themselves into like if you wanted to basically blow everything up and have this approach they would drastically have to change what they do in the minor leagues what they look for when they draft people like it's it literally is like an entire organizational philosophy Wow Paul Hembo has some stats about manufactured runs in the postseason over the years and this might be the trend here but to do the trend it sounds like you have to do a lot of oh yeah massive sweeping changes to an entire organization 2020 and we like the big baller let's go and do this probably one of Yankees and teams that have home run hitters are winning in this time or no yeah so what was it 20 was it 2021 or 2022 that it was Yankees Dodgers World Series so here we go 2020 2021 2021 2022 and then all of a sudden manufactured runs take a huge leap 2026 I would assume this is Brewers race right this is kind of how they played they play more games so obviously more runs are not two teams in the MLB and batting average and may you factor runs are so like same deal like single and then maybe button a guy over or like you know a guy steals second and then you move him over it's not just like extra base hits and it's literally manufacturing a run a runner around the bases with multiple different ways whether it's you know singles Bunce sacrifice hits like stuff like that steals what are steals come into this entire thing because these are they both run the bases really well here in the Brewers are credible in the base so same same deal so they're just out efforting at their that's a bit that's a big part of of it too because like you can see I know this was going around last night it was a later part in the game there's two outs and it's just a routine pop up that ends the the inning for the Brewers when they're at the plate South free like one of their outfielders he rounds second base like it's a ball hit into the gap like he's trying to like he's trying to score which most most teams you see a guy like in that situation it's like all right this is a can of corn the innings over this guy's just gonna lolly gag and we're done with it he's bust in his ass like hey if this thing does drop like I need to score and buy in large teams just don't play like that but the Brewers do in large part because of Pat Murphy and just the way he is in their philosophy and because they don't like they're they have a chip on their shoulder because they know they're not talked about in the same sense that the Yankees and the Dodgers are where it's like they have all these massive superstars and household names it's it's just not like that and when's the next game tonight okay tonight game four eight o'clock on Fox have a name to pitcher yet I believe the Brewers right correct okay so that's Christian Stod been there forever yes he's he's actually been there forever his entire career legend I think he he did a little bit of a run doing a more media and stuff like that everybody loved him right yeah it's great yeah been in the league a long time yes been good for a long time yes some some teams do what old school very cool hey small ball teams do that hey that's our this our skip that's our skipper right there yep okay yeah follow that guy Contrares can hit the big one right yes guy that can absolutely hit bombs junior commonero he's going to broke the led board before game one correct this world series hasn't happened obviously I'm gonna get to win then Griffin jacks is on a my a mound for the race who's that what should we expect from him he's kind of like a quasi like in between starter bullpen guys pitched in the bullpen in his career so like he probably more than likely we'll throw like four innings if he's really really mowing them down maybe he throws five but they're gonna it's gonna be kind of like a bullpen game for the uh the race and what's the Brewers they're doing probably the same deal I I know uh Brandon Woodruff who was a really good starter for them he pitched last night he was hurt I think the plan initially if he didn't go last night was for him to be the opener today but they'll probably do the same thing just go because they have the luxury now of being up to oh so you can kind of play around with things because eventually if the race do get a couple, the Miz is waiting for him. - Yeah, 3-0, so they can literally dance into whatever they need to do. Miz, figuring out when you put him in. Is that what they're doing right now, or is everything-- - He won't pitch. - He won't pitch. - No, he won't pitch. - Have a team ever come back from 3-0? - One time. - One time. - Who was that? - Big poppin? - Do you know? - Yeah, I do know, son of a bitch. - Was it in the World Series, though? - Oh, it was, so never in the World Series. - No. - Oh, okay. - NBA Finals, what, Bronn? - 3-1. - Not 3-1. - Has anybody in game seven, seven game series in the title and come that out? - A couple years ago, Oilers against the Panthers would they lost game seven? - Yeah, made it to game seven. - Made it. - Yeah, four. - Heartbreak, dude, McDavid. - Yeah. - Oh my god. - So great. - Celtics against the Heat in the Eastern Conference Finals, force game seven, lost game seven. - How about championship series of game seven? - Toronto Maple Leafs in 1942 against the Detroit Red Wing. - Oh, no. - The Maple Buds. (laughing) - MLB knows, ALCS, no team has ever done it. Yeah, so in championships, since 1942, this has never happened. Stuff to do that. Sweeps, they also are joining MLB baseball royalty amongst teams to have multiple 100 win seasons and also multiple sweeps through the postseason. 2022 Astros. - That's still countered, yeah. - Oh, no, no. - No, no, no, no. - 1998 Yankees in the 1976 Reds. That's a good company there. - I believe the brewers have only lost one game in the postseason, I think. - So they would have actual. - Yeah. - It's kinda like the Knicks, right? Did they ever run through shit? - Yeah, I didn't break, too. And is it rest or is it rust? And then they've just come out now. They'll be just better than you at baseball. - There you go. - That's kind of what this is. Good for them. I'm happy for their fans. They packed out their own stadium, whenever the game was down in Tampa and they packed out Tampa as well. You know, for a small market, the support's real. And I can't wait for their parade if it happens. So it hasn't been since 1942. - Whoa, where it happens, percentages? - Whoa, whoa, percentages don't always make sense. - No. - We talked to our law school this morning, just get a little clarification on everything he was saying and how he feels today versus yesterday after reading everything. I just wanna let you guys know, Dan feels pretty good about where he was yesterday. - Yeah. - Yeah. - Stand on business. - And he said that a lot of people are feeling the way I feel. And then we're breaking down to him how you can add context to percentages. - Yeah, I didn't get that. It's kind of needed to describe what percentages are. And he said exactly my point. (laughing) So, Dano's got a hot bat. He's Milwaukee Brewers. - Yeah, that's right. - Yeah, yeah, yeah. - Dano's the Milwaukee Brewers in the fifth inning last night. That's Dano's time. - At all times. - Choking up. - At all times. - Yeah. - Two strikes. - Yep, yeah. - Swap it in. - Swap this thing out here. And then he goes, "Well, watch this for my next strike." - Yeah. - He hits it the other way. - It's like, "Wow, keep him guessing." - Oh, man. - I love Dano, dude. - I love, thank you. - This is back from the Wiffleball days. - Yeah. - Yeah. - And that attempt. - You guys are hitting bombs at these. - Snake. - Wiffleball. I forgot Nick Ronaldo with Wiffleball. - He was, 'cause I think Decochi kind of like helped him with this. I don't think he ever played baseball. - He's kind of like-- - No, no, no, no. Get it all the fake sports. - Whoa, whoa, whoa. - The fake version of real sports. - Wiffleball, Decochi. Let's see. - Flag football. - Flag football. - Sick at Flag football. - It's a bomb. - Unbelievable. Laser tag, yeah, fake war. (laughing) - Fake ball, yeah. - He is very good at paintball as well, yeah. You're right, I forgot all about that. Okay, thank you boys for the MLB breakdown. I feel like we really did it there. - I learned a lot of baseball. - Yeah, I learned a lot about baseball, and why the brewers are so damn good, and that they are very good. - Yes. - And this team will continue to do this next year, year after, year after? - Yeah, God willing. It'll happen next year, yeah. But, yeah, no. - What was that? - Well. - Well, it might be seen. - Oh, no baseball. - Yeah, but the brewers, winning, right? - Yeah, see, I thought that was the case, and now people who are really in the weeds on that stuff are like, yeah, that's cute, but like, that doesn't mean shit. Like, guess what? Like, the owners will find another, like, they want a salary cap, pretty bad, and I don't think the players do, so I think that is kind of a rock and a hard place that I just don't know if we're gonna be able to get past that one. - Well, then maybe they sound like a three-year extendo. - That'd be great. - Yeah, that'd be great. - Just carry over this current deal. - Kick hand down the road. We'll talk about this in a couple of years. - Yeah, we need a purgatory period here to kind of figure this out, 'cause you guys have sent a lot of stuff we don't agree with, and we have examples now of it not being right, but what you guys are saying, not so. Maybe we just kicked the can down the road. Do a little two-year extendo here on the current one, so we don't lose baseball. Whenever baseball could continue to get hot, especially if the Milwaukee brewers are okay, that you can play any style of baseball and win. The new rules they put in, I think, have made baseball better. - I agree. - I think the timing's better. I think it's electric. I think world baseball classic, even though it potentially took out an entire roster of players from our United States of America across the-- - Got people excited. - Yeah, definitely love baseball. Can't have a stop, and I hope they all know that. Let's go away from MLB. Let's go to the number two sport in America. Ladies and gentlemen, it's time to talk about College Football, who had another magical, unpredictable weekend, which seems to be the norm for this beautiful sport. Joining us now is a man who'll break it all down. He's the host of College Game Day, both football and basketball. One of the most professional lads on Earthlays and gentlemen, Reese Davis and Reese's Pieces from this weekend. - Hey, Reese. - How you doing, Reese? Good to see you, brother. - Good to see you guys, too. I enjoyed the baseball breakdown. Ties all over it, man. All over the trends, I love it. - How's about saying you're a baseball dad, right? I know you love baseball as well. You have followed it very closely. As your son had a lot of success playing the baseball and hold on, Reese, Reese, Reese. Take down Reese's Pieces. - Okay. - Okay. They're saying about this weekend. It's about right now in the future. - Adam Schaffer has reported. Pro Bowl Guard, Quentin Nelson, has been traded to the Seattle Seahawks. - Wow. - Nelson is on an aspiring contract and the Colts are opting to get back to draft capital now before they could lose him in free agency. But in all time, Colt now moves on to the Seahawks. - Wow. - Quentin Nelson, I would like to say to you, thank you for your service to the Indianapolis Colts, buddy. Since day one, you were dominant for us. You've been a pro-boulder literally since the day you stepped foot into our city. I am so sorry that you had 45 different quarterbacks behind you and seemingly a different system and terminology and voice every single year. What Quentin Nelson did for the Colts was phenomenal. Quiet guy. I think at times he was forced into a position to be a vocal leader because we didn't really have anybody else in the locker room. He stepped up and did that for us. He's dominant, he's physical. He'll fit in with the Seattle Seahawks culture from what we watched with Hardenocks. I wish we had 22 Quentin Nelson starting for the Indianapolis Colts over the last eight years that he's been here. But instead, he was kind of stuck in a situation where I was just a revolving door behind him and the only non revolving thing of his life is that he was gonna be in a pro-boulder because of how much his peers respect him. So he adds out to the Seattle Seahawks who just come off a prime time gamer. They ran the rock very well. And where Sam Darnold now gets a pro-boulder, John Schneider builds up the team with the culture and the people that he likes. First guy gone now is Quinlan. What are we getting returned is the huge conversation. Expiring contract, so who knows what really leveraged, they're gonna have to work a new deal with Quentin. That's gonna be worth a lot. And I believe the back room is telling us we do have maybe some details. - Um, compensation. - We have some compensation here. Tom Pelicero is reporting now. - Okay. - Right. - Yeah. - Arrow. - Arrow has had a lot of news breaks in the history of Tom Pelicero. - Yes. - There was one though, recently about a very serious subject. - There's the blatant line. - That kind of put us into some interesting waters that none of us really ever should have been it. You know, so that is that we appreciate Tom's service. He's reporting a 2027 third round pick in a 2028 fifth round pick, okay? So we get two picks and we turn the third rounder in a fifth rounder. We still don't have a one, okay? We still don't have a one. Quentin Nelson, really good football player for a third in the fifth on an expiring contract. I guess the deal is the deal. Debut, before we get back to Reese's pieces from this weekend in Reese Davis, I'm sure he has some thoughts on Quentin Nelson who was phenomenal for Notre Dame for a long time. And also into the NFL. And he's a Jacksonville Jaguars fan now. So he understands AFC South football and Quentin Nelson, how important he was. I don't want to speak for you, Reese. But Quentin Nelson was a pillar. One of the guys that was going to be good for our team every year, it felt like. Now he's heading to Seattle. Your thoughts on the move here now and what this indicates maybe to the rest of the coach fans? - Not surprised. There was a question if, you know, the Earth says would allow, you know, Ed Dice has kind of start making these moves before the deadline. And now we have our answer to this. The first, I think, Domino to fall. Wish we would obviously wish we would have got a little more. I would then a third rounder, especially after Jergens, I believe went for a second. I thought, you know, Quentin Nelson would be in that conversation. We didn't have a ton of leverage because we don't have, we have him on an inspiring contract. But like you said, he's been a great coach. And this is the perfect pick up. Somebody on the show, I believe yesterday, mentioned the Seahawks as being one of the suitors for Quentin Nelson. This is the perfect pick up for them because of Seahawks. They are built on a dominant run game. Great defense. And then getting the ball to Jackson Smith and Jigbo. So this is a great, great pick up. And signing for Brian Fleur in that offense. You know what's again, thank you for everything you did here, Quentin. And I wish you the best of luck. And hopefully we do something with these pieces and these resources that we have now in the draft going forward. Quentin actual stud. - Yeah, yeah. - It makes sense that the Seattle Seahawks want them. - Oh yeah. - You know, like the way he goes about doing his business, how he does his business and what he is every single day. Now, this also is a big thing about it. The assistant GM has not been named interim GM. - Okay. - Okay, so I have had people reach out to me from building saying. - What is that even mean? - So they didn't give him the interim GM title. He is still assistant GM and head of personnel. So he still has his head of personnel duty assistant GM, but I think he is in conversations with everybody. But I had people from the building say, give out a shot, please. Can you not just kill this guy? And I'm like, - So what? - Why did show up like that? - He said he did that every single game. He said he does that every single game. He's from Texas. The sky just wants to fish and scout football. This guy is just, is he gonna be a GM somewhere someday? Yes, everybody knows that. And I think if you could just give him a shot here, he's not gonna try to sabotage the Indianapolis coast. This is a huge interview for him, not just for potentially the coast, but also everybody if he's able to put the coast in a much better position right now, then they could be, all right. So they did, that made a lot of sense to me. - Okay. - You know that he would not try. - Yeah. - This thing he would not try to kill the coast because maybe the rest of the NFL would never give him a shot. I was like, I never thought of that. I never thought of that. He was like, and also he gets a chance now to potentially do what he's not gonna try to do. He's gonna try to do as good as he possibly can right now. - He said to shoot. - I'm like, man, I didn't even think of him doing that. I just thought, "Human nature, you fire my guy." I didn't wanna do that. That's what I thought of you. And they're like, "Can you just give this guy a chance here, maybe?" Can you see what he does? So this is the first movie makes, we get multiple picks now. Okay, we get multiple picks. And I think this isn't indicator of what's about to happen to the team in the city and what you call home, Conman. - Yeah, very interesting. And you expect now, especially with this big trade of Quentin Nelson being one of the top two, you would say, between him and Jonathan Taylor. And of course, the four is bucking some more teams will start calling out. But you mentioned it for Seattle. Like they have now greats able in Quentin Nelson. Won't probably the best combo of guards in the entire NFL. And then you have Quentin Nelson, who you just mentioned as well, proven every single year. You're professional, consistent. And now he gets to be kind of the vet for a graceable. And they're getting Zach Charbonne back. Like if you're this Seattle Seahawks, you're thinking now maybe the first couple weeks who is pretty shaky. Now this will run again is back on. Like, "Hey, here we go. "I wonder if this change any odds as well." - Well, Schneider, okay, could a guard changing odds would be crazy? - Would be. - I'd be excited to see what that is. Guard drafted top 10 or whatever, top five, whatever would you have them. - Oh yeah. - Also crazy, whenever it happened for Quentin Nelson. Shepter tweeted this, which is a good piece of information. Seattle was poised to have five compensatory picks in 2027 from the free agent losses of Boia, Kenneth Walker, Tereq Wolland, and Kobe Bryant. They'll also receive a third-round pick after executive Nolan Teasley became Minnesota's GM. That flexibility now has allowed Seattle. Yeah, what are these compensatory picks? Oh, this is house money, sick. - That's the best. - We're getting another guard. Let's go ahead and do it. We can get Quentin Nelson. Let's go ahead and send that out to door. Now they're gonna have to work a deal with Quentin though. Quentin's already been paid. He's gonna be at the top of the market, whatever the guard market is. And I assume John Schneider and whoever Quentin Nelson's agent have already talked about that. Okay, that's the first of many we assume for the Indianapolis quotes. Ed, good job getting two picks out of that. Now, would we have wanted a first-round pick for that? Maybe three first-round picks? Definitely. - Before we get back to reach to, I did get a text from a certain somebody that said, it was Dan Erlauski who said, Seattle Seahawks make a trade for Quentin Nelson. - Dan Texchew? - Yes, he said for me, but I've heard he said it before. (laughing) - That'll be me, Dan. - Hey, the percentages were low on that though, Dan. Not that you know what that means, but I do love it. We love you, Dan. Okay, let's get back to read. Sorry about that, brother. That's huge news here in the Indianapolis. This is life, though, in the NFL. And it might be in college, too. It might be, you know, not trades. We're seeing these guys now, hey, obviously when everybody to be healthy, when everybody to be healthy, but it was like, Dante Moore now out for the rest of the season, had a concussion. We hope he feels good. Obviously we hope he feels better. But he had high NFL projections last year. This year, I don't know, you know, offense coordinator has been relieved of his duties he was hired from within. I think everybody said not that great. Dante Moore did not have a great season, though, here at the beginning. They did hang 80 some points on Portland State, maybe. - Yeah, mm-hmm. - I think so. There it is, highlights there. But I don't know what happens to his NFL value, up or down or whatever it is through this. But he's opting basically, hey, I'm a weight, I'm a dirty NFL. I'm a dirty NFL. You used to see it with like bowl games, right? Start having more bowl games. Now it's going to happen. Camario Taylor, down in Mississippi State, guy who we all are huge fans of. He's getting turf toe surgery to fix his turf toe. We hope he's healthy. He's out for the rest of the season. Now we have to think about what his future holds as well. And then obviously with the transfer portal, there's free agency possibly for every single year. It is a wild time for college. And in the NFL, I think it's about to get wild here in Indianapolis, Reese Davis. It's what it feels like here over the next couple of days. - You know, Pat, you're talking about the Colts General Manager. One of the most important positions in college football now is the General Manager. And you can't really make trades, but you've got to acquire the talent. You've got to set the budget. You've got to scout it and make sure that it fits right. And one of the most difficult things to do that it seemed as if Oregon had done perfectly behind Dante Moore is have it back up quarterback. And that hasn't really worked out for the ducks either. Sort of like their offensive coordinator choice that Dana Landing made did not work out. So it's a fascinating time in college football. It's such a delicate mix. And the fact that it looked as if Oregon had this big schedule that had been put together very well by, or their big roster put together by their General Manager. So well, just really hasn't worked out. And now they're just trying to survive to the end of the season until they can hit the reset button. Yeah, why would you think that that's where the Oregon ducks are with a lot of returners? We just assumed they're going to pick up where they left off college football. Playoff team last year got to what? Number one and number two quarterback coming back. A lot of other starters, you're Oregon. You got five stars in the chamber. We didn't even think you were talking about the loss of Stein or Tosh. We didn't even talk about that. I mean, that ended up being a gigantic thing for the Oregon ducks. We assume Dan Landing will be able to get that right out there. But this year Dante Moore done. And does he have another hero of eligibility? Or is he going to NFL? Do we know? I think he's got another year if he wants it. I think it would be-- I'd be a little surprised if he takes it, but I think that he has another year. I think it was Tamil that said the other day that despite all the problems, and he hadn't really tanked his draft stock right now. So I think with the ability that he has, somebody will take a chance on him, but I'm not really sure that it's going to be right at the top of the draft. Kind of have another year of a quarterback class that hasn't developed the way most people anticipated in the off-season. We've talked a ton about Arches Struggles. Dante Moore hasn't gotten to play a whole lot because of the hit. He took at USC. And Trinidad Chambles, while dynamic, is not the biggest guy in the world. And smaller quarterbacks are succeeding in the NFL. But he had some struggles against the Texas defense. It was fully capable of keeping him in the pocket for most of the nights. So I think there are question marks at that position. It's a terribly difficult one to evaluate. Got to get him in the right system. Got to get some continuity along with the men. The college guys that are coming in the class this year aren't exactly to mix metaphors tearing the cover off the ball right now. Lenora Sellers hasn't had a couple of good weeks. Mess the maker. Mess the maker is going crazy. Darian Mensa. It might be on a Heisman path down there for Miami. He's completing what percentage? I believe over 80. What? Completing a lot of passes. Played a lot of football. It's had a lot of success. Guys, wide open. Whoa, whoa, whoa. You've got to take the rep so you can obviously scout from NFL draft class. We'll be talked about throughout the rest of this season into the off season. Reese, let's dive into quarterbacks a little bit. In your first part of Reese's Pieces from this weekend, whenever it comes to what college football had in store for us, what's your big takeaway? Your first takeaway, Reese. And maybe needs to be chatted about a little bit more. I think when we watch the big 12 path, I think that we're sort of conditioned over the years to say, well, if you lose a game or two in the big 12, you're probably not the same level of playoff contenders we thought you were. I kind of don't think that's true. I kind of did dive this morning into looking at some of the metrics to see if I could use percentages or numbers to back up what I felt like that the big 12 maybe wasn't as far behind the other two power conferences at the top of the big 10 in the SEC as you thought. They're still ranking third. But my theory on this, just from watching so many games, is that I'm not going to crush a big 12 team for getting knocked off on the road. There's a lot of tremendous quarterback play we're watching. A key one, Jenkins from UCF right now, who kind of bet on himself and came to FIU, came off the bench and played great against BYU. If everything else is close enough in the big 12, meaning the top of the big 12 teams, lines of scrimmage against the SEC and big 10 teams, I think their quarterbacks can keep up. I would argue it's pretty easy to say that at this moment in time, quarterback play of the big 12 is better than the big 10. I don't know if it's better than the SEC, but the two teams at the top, particularly in my judgment the big 12 can match up with the better teams in the SEC and the big 10 and that's you time BYU. Despite BYU's loss. They're tough and strong in the line of scrimmage. There's a lot of good quarterback play in that league. I'm not going to crush these teams when they go on the road and stub their toe. And I think the leagues really, really good this year. >> Yeah, they got a lot of times. I think they would talk about their depth whenever you talk about it. They can stay at the top of the big 12. I think they would say we got a lot of good teams. We got a lot of really, really good teams. I'm trying to think who, 'cause Mensa right now is the odds on the highest odds to win the highest win. That's ACC. You think about Mesta Maker, we say might be the best quarterback whenever you go to the draft. There you go. Next, that's Oklahoma State. It's a Mesta Maker. You got Fida. You got Barabokmire. I'm just trying to say quarterbacks that aren't from- Devin Stampier, like I would, I personally definitely would take the big 12 quarterbacks over the big 10 quarterbacks. Yeah, Michael Hawkins, Julian Stain's hurt, Hoover, if he's not hurt, that's a big worry. Okay, in that situation, Dante Moore is now hurt and out, like the big 10 is dealing with a ton of either hurt quarterback, Michigan, I mean, they don't have a quarterback, UCLA, quarterback, yeah, I would 100% take the big 12 quarterbacks over. Okay, then the SEC conversation. I'd take the SEC, probably not one. Okay, go on. Yeah. Okay, you start. Oh my god, I don't want to start with arch. Trinidad. Exactly, that's what I'm saying. Trinidad. Yeah. Sam Levin is, which we'll get into. Okay, so we're just hoping, right, we're hoping Sam Levin. No, I think, no. Huh? He's a matchy. He's a matchy. He has been really good. I don't know. That's what I'm saying. Who is the SEC? So let's have the conversation, because you said the big 10, definitely. That's why I was sitting there, like, well, who in my brain, is the SEC on Russell? Yeah. He's great player. He's on Alabama. He's unbelievable. Agreed. Gunner, I guess, but- Yes. Gunner, Marcel, yeah. He's been great at all, but it's looked a little better. Hold on, Reese. We opened the door here for this conversation, and we appreciate you doing yourself. I think that would take the big 12. And the big 12 has the best quarterbacks in the, in the country. I think I'd take the SEC. Who? I'd probably give the SEC a slide edge. I would take- Gunner. I would take Trinidad, Q and Russell. Sam Levin's playing much, much better. You mentioned sellers. He's been really good. You still have art, I know he struggled, but he's wildly talented. And, you know, Kamario Taylor's hurt now. Kenny Menchie at Kentucky has been, has been really good. Gunner stocked and didn't play great against Auburn, but played out of his mind against Alabama. I would probably collectively take that group in the SEC. Mess to make or maybe the best of the bunch. I think Q and Russell is going to be the best quarterback in college. Football, the question is, is that going to happen this year next year? And I agree with that. I agree with that. But I think it will be. I agree with that. I agree with that. I agree with that. I agree with that. With how tall he is, a lot of the problems that the people that are as athletic as he is, he won't have, because how tall he is. A lot of the people that have the athleticism that he has cannot see everything that he has the capability to believe in. He also has the feel of a small guy. And, for my understanding, he is a cerebral monster. Jared Curtis, another one. Who's a young guy that may be known? He's excited to see what he becomes and broke some horses as a child. That was his job growing up. The Texas kid. But I think what you're trying to say, and what we're trying to say here is, like, big 12, most important position in ball has a lot of really good players. A lot of really good players. That's exactly it. And I just, I think we ought to make sure we give the big 12 credit, and I just write them off when somebody goes and gets upset on the road. There are tough places to play there. There's great quarterback play. Even the guy at Cincinnati, you know, JC French who put up, I think, through four touchdown passes against Texas Tech on Saturday, he's not noted as a big time passer, but he's a, he's a veteran player who's been around. So you even get to Cincinnati and you've got a capable guy there. I just think that when we start evaluating these teams, that if quarterback is the most important position, and if the team can stack up or be close elsewhere. Why not evaluate it that way and give them the benefit of the doubt, not automatically, you know, dismiss BYU and drop them way down the rankings simply because they went on the road and lost the game and overtime. I like to hear that from an AP voter, one of the main voices of the entire sport and definitely of the college football playoff. He's the only one to get to interview him immediately after the rankings come out from the college football playoff. Reese's voice, he's not in the room where it happens, but immediately upon them coming out, there's only one person they're talking to. So Reese, feeling this way about the big 12 is a huge deal, I think, I think it's a huge swing for the big 12 who as a person who has my school in the big 12. There's been a lot of big 12 people saying like, hey, hey, hey, what about, what about, what about, because it did become big 10 SEC conversation about college football as a whole. And I think big 10 and SEC have invested a lot and done a lot for college football, I respect it. But the big 12 for years now has been like, hey, we got some real teams out here, feels like this year might be the big time we're in this game as well. And let alone Miami might be the best team in the entire country down there at the ACC is college football at a good spot right now. Feels like it feels like it. Let's make wholesale changes to it a bit. All right, speaking of wholesale changes, there are some surprises this deep into the season. How do you feel about those this year, Reese? And who do you got on your board as, wow, I didn't expect this to be like this at these places. I did not expect UCLA and Kentucky to be where they are right now. Now Kentucky's got a brutal schedule coming up and UCLA has an easier one but a couple of tricky spots along the way. And I think when we look at those two teams, both those teams are tremendous stories and you immediately start thinking, you know, Kentucky can they be like 2024 Indiana kind of come through and make it UCLA. Same thing kind of come out of nowhere and be like the Hoosiers were in 2024. And those are tremendous stories. It's a possibility. I like UCLA's chances a little better because of the schedule than I do Kentucky's coming down the stretch to be able to keep this going. But you know what Pat? I think as I look at this, as I look at this, that's Kentucky schedule right there. I mean, that's that's rough at Tennessee great defense, atmospheric, very capable Florida. We know Florida's been up and down to be like Bitcoin, but they're capable. And Louisville was probably underperformed on the way relative to its record. They're also I think a really good team with with Lincoln. King holds having such a great start to the season, but what I'm looking at is not so much who is Indiana from 24, but who's Miami from last year that if they get in. Watch out, they can win the whole thing to me. That's LSU. I mean, I think LSUs had a couple of little hiccups. They lost the game in Kentucky on the two point conversion at the end. They lost that a wild game that we saw at Ole Miss early, which is almost like karma was dictating that Ole Miss was going to win that game. Watching LSU, the last couple of games, it feels like Levitt's getting comfortable. He's taking care of the football a little better than he was earlier, and they feel like they're coming. I think LSU is the team now. They have some tests. They've got Alabama. They've got Texas. But if they get there, I'd watch out because they certainly are capable of winning the whole thing, I think, if they get in. We watched him against Clemson, operate on all cylinders with that place going the way it was going, and it felt as if this was going to be a monster. Trade has green got hurt for a few weeks. He comes back. He's in the end zone, gay. He's 6 foot 7243 tight end. Sam Levitt to your point hasn't had anywhere near the amount of turnovers he was having there for a while because I think he was overthinking. Didn't really know what was going on. As he gets more comfortable and as he gets hot late, maybe this LSU team who has dogs everywhere across the defense. They're bigger stronger faster than you on the other side of the ball. If they can lock it, the offense gets going. Lane Kiffin and a college football playoff as an underdog, you know, kind of a late seed. I think that would be an incredible story for the CFP. A lot has to happen with more teams coming out of the big 12 as well. Now, let's get to something that is very important every single week. We get a chance to kind of see how decisions are made by who. You know what I mean, Ty? There are other people that put out, I guess, who they voted for as AP voters. Normally, I don't think we get a chance to really see all of them know exactly where everybody's head's at. We always wonder how these rankings become these rankings. Well, Reese Davis is saying, you can judge me. Here is this week's Reese Davis Top 25 for the AP. Miami Hurricanes remain as the top team in the country. The Buckeye slide up coming out of a by week. They move up. BYU, you don't dock them too bad. Once again, this is you respecting, I think UCF in the big 12. You were literally just talking about this and now your rankings kind of indicate that. Anything on here that you think people pissed off about and what were you kind of battling with as you were trying to put numbers on these teams? I think what they're probably going to be pissed off about is BYU because I think the condition is that they want them dropped a little bit more. The thing that I struggled with the most, Ohio State at number two and not knowing exactly what the quarterback's going to look like with Luke Fahey. So it's almost like I feel like that's a placeholder. I want to respect what they've done, but I have some skepticism. I need to see the quarterback. I mean, we've talked so much about him and I understand that. I don't think that Kentucky and UCLA, if I were doing a power rating thing just looking forward, I would not have them that high. But you have to respect what's been accomplished. I think that's the, when it's close, you have to give the edge to the accomplishment and not always just try to evaluate what you think they might be going forward. And then probably on down a little bit, a little bit at the bottom. I really like Oregon State, so I put them in there. I don't think many people had them rain. I think they're, I think they're a little bit of a quiet threat to sneak in and get that group of six playoff birth if they could upset boys in a couple of weeks on the blue. Ty was disgusted there with what you said about BYU, but he literally just wanted a full detail on why he didn't die. No, I understand. I don't care. You see it. UCF is four and three, and they're 10th in the big 12. So I get it, but you wait, let's not just reward BYU because all of a sudden the big 12 is a great conference. And maybe part of it is, you know, people are just acting like Minnesota's hammer, dog shit. I will get to be by them on the last second field goal, then go from 15 out of the polls. I think that's bullshit too, but you know, it's Reese's top 25, mm-hmm. - Yeah, you're exact, yeah. We got to respect the amount of time for it. Now, one of the, he had a full explanation on why. He actually led before even show. - I know, the top 25, he laid out. - And if it would have been, you know, maybe a team from the big 12 who was like ninth and up, then I would have said, okay, sounds good. Drop 'em, doc, 'cause it is a good conference. - It's a four and three on REC team. - Yeah, but they've been, but they've been competitive in a couple of those games. They get Houston, all they wanted. I need you to, I've been high on Iowa. - I know, Iowa's not in there, but I mean, I need you to, I need you to score a few more points against the gofers, and that I agree. - I can't let you do that, Ty. - Great. - Well, you know what, I worked myself into a shooting. (all laughing) - Yeah, two good quarterbacks. Once again, we got none. That's just a wake, though. - Minnesota Gofers, huge win for PJ Fleck. A field gets stormed and Minnesota now home of college game day this weekend for their trip to Bloomington to take on the Indiana Hoosiers, who you have ranks where, five, I believe I saw right behind Notre Dame, you have the Indiana Hoosiers. They could still be undefeated, if it wasn't for three inches, four inches. They're not, though, have to take that into account. Says Reese Davis. Now, this is AP votes. This is an associated press, top 25 ranking for Reese Davis. - He's in the weeds. - Oh yeah. - We here at the Thunderdough. Have the incredible opportunity every single week to see, you know, in above average, bull. Not like an elite bull. - No, like Reese's. - Reese has an elite bull. - Yeah. - Holy hell. Does he not? - Yeah, that's the best elite bull. - This week. - Then there's bad, yeah, that's a Miami Hurricanes fan. Then there is just average bulls. And we don't, average bulls are everywhere. That's why they're average. Okay, that is average bull. So we won't be a little bit above that. Ladies and gentlemen, it's time for this week's AP tone. Nope, sorry, not AP tone. - Not for fault. - It's the gas college football author tones above average bull. - Hey. - Who's at the top? - You're above average bull today, ton, dates. - That would be the you, the University of Miami. There's no argument. They have to be number one. They are unblemished. They have one of the best off fences in the country. I believe number 11 ranked defense when it comes to points per game. So, you know, top 11 on both sides of the football. The men set to Malachi, Tony, is just unbelievable. Cooper Barcade, unbelievable as well. They're gonna get Fletcher going when it comes time in the playoffs, like just like they did last year. They are, they're a very good team. I'm looking for them to get healthy on defense as well. There's no argument there. And then, you know, we talked about it with UCLA and Kentucky with Reese. I don't, I don't think there is any reason that UCLA cannot go undefeated. Yes, there's a couple tricky spots in there they have Minnesota and USC. But like, I mean, there's, there's not a team on you that you say, "Oh, UCLA, UCLA definitely cannot beat them." Like, there is on Kentucky schedule. So, I like UCLA a lot. And then, recent, I do not talk before this at all, but we tend to agree a lot. Yes, it seems driving that car back there. It's kind of lurking. That's late Kiffin, okay? I made a bet this week that LSU will win the national championship. There's three teams in the top 10 on offense and defense. It's Notre Dame, Ohio State and the LSU Tigers. Okay, and that's one of those teams. I think they're good on offense. I think Levitt is really settling down their offense of line is playing better. They're running the football. Yeah, I put in a national championship but on LSU this week 'cause I think at their best, they are one of the best. I like Lane and Levitt lurking in the top top back there. I appreciate that. I assume Lane is going to appreciate the shout out as well as he's keeping an eye out on tones above average bulls. We appreciate you, Tony. Hey, Reese, you're the absolute best brother. Thank you for taking the time. My pleasure. Thanks for having me, guys. Ladies and gentlemen, it's Reese David. Hey, Reese! All right, our one wraps up here with, we hit baseball, college football, NFL football, breaking news, and WNBA is playing Thursday at 1230D. But what do we need to know about Atlanta and Valkyrie? Hopefully we get more points. Atlanta is only shot 29% of Valkyrie's playing some great, great defense. But obviously, as a fan, you want more points. So expect more points, game six. And we'll see, Valkyrie's in one game away, dream can fight for his survival. Can grasp both of them making it to the finals. There's been a lot of talk about it being at 1230. Hopefully people will watch, because it is the finals. It's on USA Network, and I know people have jobs. They got to work. We, War Show, is it new? Be a friend for some nice of my change of life. We'll see you on the other side. [MUSIC PLAYING] Football! Hey, it's the greatest last 9,000 cowboys. Speech Philadelphia Eagles to wrap up week seven of the NFL season. The Dallas Cowboys are now a game and a half out of the lead of the division in the NFC East. As the Giants have the driver's seat in JJ McCarthy is now their starting quarterback. Thank you to the Eagles and to the Cowboys for a phenomenal game that we thought was potentially going to be an absolute shite bowl. The atmosphere was electrifying. I got a chance to meet Max from part of my take. Oh, sure. Max, a big Eagles fan. Walked over to him, asked him if I boost it, because I believe he has been talked about playing our boost. He says he's going to play him every time. And I told him, let's get a win for you, pal. So we need to remember that there's people out there on these boosts. So whenever we're piecing these together, there's people out there like Max, OK? That can profit and benefit from what our brain is able to piece together. So let's win for these people. OK, let's go ahead and win for these people. I already researched on Thursday. Oh, we're ready to go. Yeah, thanks so. Oh, it talks to table at basketball. That's not a sweet spot. We need to win for these people. That was my first time really seeing somebody that has said something about our boost on one of their shows and being like, hey, did it end up hitting though? You know, like it did. OK, thank you. And he said, I'm playing every single one. We're great by the way. All right, let's do that. Let's win for-- we are going to try to win for you, Max. Like actually, going to try not only for you, but for everybody, we need to keep doing that. Last night, I was wrong. Thought he was going to win. OK, that's not great. Take one, Barkley, though. Early, OK? He ends up getting hurt. We got a count for that. It did feel like a back against the wall game for the Dallas Cowboys really loud. He got very loud. Shotty had been questioned. Back had been questioned. The entire Dallas Cowboys defense had been questioned very loudly by everybody. Going against a backup quarterback with a lot of injuries that he eagles felt like the Dallas Cowboys needed to win that game. Then Jerry Jones, before the game, tells us, hey, last time we played back up quarterback, we got our ass kicked. I'm sure that was a reminder that was sent through the entire Dallas Cowboys. If not now, then when they can go on a run and still host a home playoff game, people forget that, but there's a lot of season left. One half of the hammer, God. Cowboys, AP, Tony's here. Tony, what did end up happening with the gambling? Overhit in dramatic fashion. Obviously, we knew that was a possibility whenever both teams were desperate. What else is kind of a trend that we need to take away from last night? Yes, the overhit last night and the road team again. So I was looking at stuff as far as the total season has now confirmed. The away team is 53, 42, and 6 this year. So we talked about home field advantage and stuff like that and home dogs. But as far as the season goes, the away team has been much better this season, not sure why. But right now, 53, 42, and 6 to the away team, which the Cowboys were last night. The over is 56, 50, and one on the season, so slightly to the over. And then the big thing this year also, not last night, but with the dogs. Favorites are 46% so far this year. Not whatever, not bad, almost 50, 50. Three points or more favorites, 42%. And then you've got even farther, seven points or more. They're covering 28% of the time. So favorites, as a whole, 46. If there are three points or more, 42% covering, and then 28% if you go seven points or more. It's hard. We always talk about like these games are always close. We don't know what the hell is going to happen. So if you're a favorite, seven points or more, good luck. Last night became a runaway, which is going to happen, I guess, abnormal for this season, though. Lot of games have been very close. And there's been a lot of backdoor. Hey, let's go ahead and try to get it late as backups come in. Nine year NFL vet, Terry Stade Butler is here. Yes, sir. But we didn't know when it was going to happen for the Colts. First domino, but we assumed it was going to happen. Didn't know for sure, but we assumed it was going to happen. Earlier in the show, first hour, it was broken. Quentin Nelson traded from the Colts to the Seattle Seahawks for two picks going forward. Now, Quentin Nelson expiring contract heads of the Seattle Seahawks looking to win back-to-back superbles. The odds go for the Seattle Seahawks plus 1,100 to plus 1,000. So it goes from 1,11 to 1 to 10 to just with the swing of a guard. That feels like a big swing for an offensive guard to a team that is arranging superbow champs. How do you feel about this trade now that we've been sitting on it for about 30, 45 minutes? And what do you think this says about the Seattle Seahawks and the Indianapolis? Well, I've started with the Colts. It's crazy how quickly and how dramatically things can change for a franchise year to year. Last year, we traded for sauce for two number ones because we felt like we were in the Superbowl window. We had a quarterback. We had the offense figured out, defense was playing better. And now just a year later, we're expecting a fire or a reset with the franchise. So you got to take advantage of your window first and foremost. And I think it's a good move. We all talked about it a little. We got to get pieces. We got to get resources. We're not going to resign Quentin Nelson. Let's move him and see what we can get. And the market dictates what you can get. So now we assume Ed Dodd is making these calls. He made the car, he made the move for the Seahawks. think it's a great move because that is a offense that's been especially the championship version of them. Even the first one, Josh Snyder built the first championship. It was built on great defense, a great run game, and then create some explosive plays here and there. So getting Quentin Nelson in there should be the best guard guard combo in the NFL. They can you know kind of stick to their identity. And we know who he is. We feel like we know who he is as a person, going to be in that locker room community, etc. So it's a great pick up for them. And now we have resources. And you look at a third-round pick or a fifth round pick. A lot of times when you look at these championship teams, you can use the Seahawks for an example. Yeah, you got to hit on the first and second rounders, but a lot of times it's those fourth, it's those fifth rounders that show up and be great players for franchise for a long time. So hopefully we hit. Yeah, we're in the middle of the pound of rock era as well for the Seattle Seahawks. So having Quentin, now what does it say about Jonathan Taylor? You know, if you don't, if you might be heading out west too. Yeah. Here's the pound of rock era graphics that we made that we think we should spotlight a little bit about what type of footballer in right now. Here's last night the Cowboys get added to the graphic lines, get bumped from it, but Buckeneers, Ram Steelers, Giant Seahawks, Cowboys here. Seahawks, they did it this week and they add another absolute road grader. If you can run the ball right now and dominate the other team, obviously you keep the other offense off the field, you wear down their defense, but not everybody can do that. Not every team is built to be able to do it. Right now is a good time to be able to do that. Seattle Seahawks seemingly get even better. Joining us now is a man who was from the pound of rock era. He was on the other side, trying to crack the stone. Yeah. Ladies and gentlemen, college football. Yeah, sharpen the jaw, you know, home plate through face era. Ladies and gentlemen, college football national champion Super Bowl champion. All the time leading Tackler for the Green Bay Packers, AJ Hawk. Welcome. You're awesome. Thank you for joining us. The pound of rock era continues last night with what the Cowboys were able to do. Javante Williams has a career night in every category basically and the Cowboys get a huge win alongside an explosive offense. Quentin Nelson traded to the Seattle Seahawks. How do you feel about that? What do you think, John Schneider, who a man you know very well, is doing with this move and how do you feel about what the Colts have decided to do behind closed doors, similarly here? Yeah, I think this is going to be a win-win for both teams. Obviously, if you're the Colts, he has an expiring contract. You're not going to re-uploam. You got to get something for him. Now, what, a third and a fifth, I believe, right? Yeah. 2027, third and then a fifth coming up after it. That's not too much to give up with your Seattle, but for Quentin Nelson, I'm sure it's like bitter sweet. Yeah, you're leaving the team that draft you where you set your roots and everything, but he has to be very excited. Like, he, if you're going to get traded, why not? Let's, let's go to a team that seems to have great culture. They won the Super Bowl last year and they hopefully will be contending for another Super Bowl for years to come. Like, it's a good thing for Quentin Nelson, I think, in his career, but he probably kind of sad, whatever, bitter sweet to leave the Colts. But yeah, this is kind of where we're at this season, I feel like. Yeah, last week, he was talking about, you know, hey, if you were to get traded, what would you say? And he's like, you know, I met my wife here, I had my family here. A lot of good times here. Wait, wait, wait, wait, wait, whoa, whoa, whoa, whoa, whoa, whoa. That sounds like a lot of past tense right there. And I think, you know, there was a lot of writing on the wall. Jonathan Taylor even kind of acknowledges, like, there's been a lot of talk about me potentially getting traded with where we are right now. I think they're all bummed out that Chris Ballard got fired to like, they're kind of, their team is the reason why the person draft them is no longer here. So fresh start for Quentin Nelson to change the football life, because I think he is very good football player. What a culture shock that's going to be. What's that? Indiana, Seattle. No, no, no, no, no, full, sorry, sorry, football culture. Oh, going from where he makes the sea ox. I think both actually, I think it's a little different up there. It is out here. Well, find out. I think it's next Monday night football. Joining us now is a man who might have a little bit more information on what the coach's next moves are. Or is this it? Senior NFL insider for ESPN and NFL network. Man, I broke this news. Adam Shephtier, Shephtier. How you doing? Great to see you. Adidas sponsorship here right across the chest. I like what Adidas is doing. It involved with insiders now. Can you tell me a little bit about Quentin Nelson getting traded to the Seattle sea hawks? How expected was it to happen on this day? And when should we expect more moves from the Colts? Well, I think what happened Pat here is obviously everybody knew that the Colts could be looking to get back draft pick compensation for some of these players. They go and they lose on Sunday in Minnesota. And I think that expedites conversations in the organization on Monday to begin making moves. They were having conversations throughout the day yesterday regarding various players, including Quentin Nelson. There were multiple teams that were interested. There was a relationship between the Colts interim general manager Ed Dodds and the sea hawks general manager John Schneider. Ed Dodds previously worked in Seattle. So this turns out to be his first deal with his former team, which stepped up in the end with two draft picks. The Colts are looking for draft pick, capital and compensation as much of it as they can get. Now, Quentin Nelson is on an expiring contract. Very well could have left after the year. So rather than wait and get a compensatory draft pick in 2028, the Colts got a 2028 draft pick and a 2027 thorough ground pick. And I think this is a signal that they are open to listening on most any player, most any player. Now, the big name is Jonathan Taylor. And my understanding is is that the owner doesn't want to trade Jonathan Taylor. So again, we have two weeks from now until the deadline. I'm sure they don't want to trade Jonathan Taylor. And if I had to guess today, I would say I don't think they will trade Jonathan Taylor. But I think there are going to be teams that are interested out there that will try to have conversations, make offers. And if the Colts don't change their stance, they won't trade Jonathan Taylor. But again, I think the owner doesn't want to trade him for the record right now. Now that doesn't mean it happens. But and by the way, that may just be their stance like to drive up the price. Yeah, it's could be poker. But on that note, we are in, we just showed a graphic, the Pound and Rock era. Jonathan Taylor is by far one of the best running backs in the league. I mean, there's no question about it. He is so good, always scoring, literally always scoring touchdowns, always moving forward. He has been a bright, bright spot for the Colts over the years since he's gotten here. And even in college, we'd watch him here in Indianapolis at the big 10 championship. And he was a bright spot then for our city. So Jonathan Taylor is certainly a weapon. So if they didn't want to move on from him, whoever the future GM is, even if it's at Dodds, whoever the next coach is, maybe Shane Stikin stays, maybe he was just Chris Ballard and we keep everybody from within. I don't know how that's going to go. If you won games, nobody cares. If you lose games, everybody's going to get very loud about it. So whoever is next would want Jonathan Taylor on the team. I think that is something that would certainly be a benefit to whoever is tasked with this next iteration of the Indian apolis Colts. But how do you build the next Indianapolis Colts? If you don't have anything to really build it with, Jonathan Taylor might be the only piece that could really get you something big. I guess it's TBD on that to Forest Buckner, another conversation because he is a pro bowl player, all pro player and really good football player also on an inspiring contract, I believe, Shaftar, right? Yeah. And this is where I was going to go. They don't want to trade Jonathan Taylor, which doesn't mean that they won't trade them, but I don't think they want to. And today, I would say they don't. But there are other players that I believe will wind up being on the move here. And I think the players you look at would be the Forest Buckner. Josh Downs. Josh Downs. Josh Downs. Their other player, Grover Stewart on the defense line, they'll get calls on him. Now, again, what winds up happening and who winds up getting traded? I would say this. The name that we're watching next would be the Forest Buckner, because he's also in a very similar situation to Quentin Nelson on an expiring deal. He's a veteran. And here's the thing that you have to keep in mind on the Forest Buckner. As a 10 year veteran, and there are some people around the league that don't know this rule, but the most that the Colts could get back, the highest compensatory traffic that the Colts would get back if he signed elsewhere after the season would be a fifth round pick, a fifth round pick. So that, to me, frames the compensation that the Colts will wind up getting back for the Forest Buckner. It won't be as good. I don't think as Quentin Nelson, who is a little younger and who would have gone for more compensatory traffic compensation if he had left. So the return on Buckner will be lower, I expect, than Quentin Nelson, but I do think that he's very much in play as potentially the next Indianapolis Colt to be dealt here. So at least the fourth rounder got it, which is what you just said. If we can get something better than what the compensatory pick will be, because he's a 10 year vet, we will probably go ahead and weigh those waters. If the Forest Buckner wants to head to place, which I think they want to do right by the Forest Buckner as well for my understanding, the Forest has been great for us. We're very lucky that we have him. We traded a one for him whenever he came over here and whenever he was playing, we were a good football team. And he had a couple injuries. We were not a good football team. So the Forest Buckner is another one of those guys, just like Quentin Nelson, who we will miss mightily in our city and for the Colts. But this kind of what has to happen, doesn't it, Chef, the for this is kind of because these guys have been here a long time, a lot of these guys. John. Taylor's been here a long time. Clinton knows in eight years. The first buckner's been here a long time. Josh Downs, his contract expiring as well. I think this is rookie here, his rookie contract is up. It's like these guys have been here a long time. Josh Downs haven't by far as best year. This year he's having his best year, even though we haven't been playing that good. He is certainly worthy of a trip. Well good luck to all of them. Hey, go get it. Boy, it sucks. This is why you have multiple teams, guys. This is why. It's never happened. This year right here. Hey, I wouldn't know if you would have been here. Congratulations, you new Packers Patriots are not you guys, but everybody else. You get it. It's tough spot. You see Hawks with buyers. All right, Chef. Yeah, you're your favorite cars. You're a favorite team of wild season. Did you broker us? Any other buyers out there, Chefty? Seattle's obviously. Any other buyers? For the chief. Anybody, bro. Yeah, on the market. The chief's getting a receiver. That's the rumor, Chefty. Yeah, the chiefs have been in the wild receiver market. I think the Steelers have been in the wild receiver market. The good teams that are out there right now, the Broncos, the Seahawks, the Vikings, Browns. The 49ers, like, yeah, there they are. Can't even get the word Browns out of your mouth there. It was a Browne and Niners. Hey, the Browns are Browns and they're in first place here, OK? They're unbelievable. They're not browns. One of these stories of the season. They have not Browns since Todd Monkin said we are not Browns in anymore. He actually said two words about Browns in there. They're the brand new Browns. Could you imagine Haslam wheeling and dealing? He already has, obviously, for the quarterback that he has right now, he's gotten into the game. How many of these moves should we expect to see? Like, now, versus maybe November 10th, be whatever, you know, deadlines kind of draw a little bit of action in this type of world. Yeah, again, each of the last two years from October 1st to the trade deadline, there were 18 trades made. Today, from October 1st to now, there have been five trades made, five. So that would tell me, I don't know if we'll get as many, but I still think we'll get roughly double digits more. 10, 12 trades more between now and the trade deadline would be my guess based on what's occurred the last two years. And the fact that there's been an average, I think over the last five years of 17 trades per year from October 1st to the trade deadline. We've got five right now. You have to figure we're going to get somewhere close to that this year. Chef, the eyeballs is fine. Just in case another one happens right now. Couple big names still out there. Go ahead, Ty. Yes, Chef, we've heard a lot about Khalil Mack potentially being moved, but with the Chargers sitting at 0 and 6, like, are they in full fire sale mode, too, or are they still kind of kidding themselves and thinking, hey, if we win next week, maybe we don't have to do this. Great question. They have been very adamant that they are trying to win football games. That's what they keep telling teams. Like, they've gotten calls on Khalil Mack. And they said, we're not trading them. We're not trading them. Just like the calls you're saying right now, we're not trading Jonathan Taylor. That's the interesting thing about this. And do their thoughts, does their mindset change as we get closer to the trade deadline? Like, this Sunday, it's the Battle of LA Chargers Rams. If the Rams win again, and the Chargers go to 0 and 7, are they then willing to listen? And is there a team that steps up and says, hey, we're going to give you a pick that's worth while for Khalil Mack to make this happen? Again, let me be very clear. They've been adamant that they're not trading them. But I would say this. And they love him. He's one of their favorite players that pass through there in terms of as a guy, a leader. But if you are not winning, and his contract's up after the year, why would you not take back a draft pick midway through the year for the guy? Like, that makes sense, doesn't it? He does, why don't-- that's what we're dealing with, Quentin Nelson here, are all these-- is Quentin Nelson having a new deal in place already with Schneider? No, he's not an expiring deal. And no new contract in place, traded with his current contract. So just like Joey Porter, Jr., who just kind of played out here, would you see what happens? Right. It would be interesting, because they obviously moved on from Kidding Walker because of the positional value. Yeah. Devin, where's this one on the top of the market? JSN on top of the market? You assume Sam Darnell maybe gets a new deal at some point. So it would be interesting how they handle that. $9.7 million guaranteed is what Quentin Nelson is currently sitting on, says, "Spote track," which we think is normally the most accurate out of all the contract stuff. An expiring deal is just at least from Schneider saying, hey, man, yeah, we think you're a great football player. And if we do good things here, we love to call this play so. But if not, you want to title with us, and then you'll go get paid somewhere else. Quentin Nelson, damn good, football player. Now, there's one more position that everybody likes to talk about, especially around trade deadline, because we're just one piece away. One, flashy, shiny, touchdown scoring piece away. A lot of people think. Connor, last question for you. Yeah, Chefs, you passed talking about the wide receiver position. For the bad teams, it doesn't seem as though they have a lot of pieces to trade. Although the commanders have stuff on digs. Is he a piece, perhaps, then even some of the good teams draw on Jennings for the Vikings of Bryant Thomas Jr. for the Jaguars? Those guys have kind of been thrown out there as far as trade pieces. Are those teams and players that would get moved? And then lastly, not being a trade piece, but a free agent piece. Tyree Kill. Is there any update on him? Or will we see him sign maybe after the trade deadline, just because then teams kind of know where they are? I think with Tyree Kill, his agent's Rose NASA has been pretty clear that he feels like his client is getting closer to a deal, but he's not going to do a deal until he feels like he has the deal and the place he wants. It hasn't happened yet. We'll see how that plays out. Nothing so far with Tyree Kill. Bryant Thomas, the Jaguars, have been pretty clear also. They keep saying we're not trading him. Although, again, he had a decreasing role in their last game in London. So it wouldn't shock me if their stance changed before the trade deadline, especially if a team made it worthwhile for them. I have not heard Stefan digs name at all. Who was the other one I received at the US? The Milwaukee on Jennings and Minnesota on Jennings. I think some teams have checked in on him, but it doesn't sound like anything is happening there right now. We need a watersaver here in Indianapolis. We require a third and a fifth, I believe so. We got maybe some accuracy. I could run some wrath. Do we have any update on Alex Pierce? What happened? Does it go okay? It's a weird walker. We signed him to the biggest deal in the history of water severs during free agency. We signed him. That was your story. That was your story. That was your big story. Thank you. He told me to break that news. I love Alex Pierce. I actually do. I enjoy him as a human. I think he's pretty hilarious. I think a lot of people really love him. He's explosive. Had a phenomenal year last year. We move on from Pittman because we've got to pay Pierce. And we give him the biggest contract in the history of free agency for water severs. And then he played a little bit and then not really. And then he's been out. We haven't even really talked about him. Is he going to play this year? Or like what at what? You know, I don't, I'm just speaking in generalities. I'm not reporting this, right? We're just talking. I'm a lot to talk. Sure. Yeah, Chef, you're assuming you're a lot of big deal. Chef, you're a human. You're a human. You're a lot of talk. We're humans here. Just guys. Don't ask about percentages or anything like that. You want to start wandering. Look, they want him to play. And he's trying to come back and all those things happen. But at some point, you also wonder like if the team's not winning games, does it make sense to bring him back? What's the point? I'm just wondering that out loud with you right now. I mean, we didn't. We paid ten and challenge for not winning games. Get him out. What's the point? Yeah, you should probably rest both of those guys for the rest of the season. You're healthy, Alex. Just prepare for next year. Cancel the season. It's over. Highest decorum. What about our tickets? We still got games. We're going to go use the sweet. We need to start contacting artists and musical performances that can come. It will form at Lucas Hall at 1 p.m. Never going to happen. You know that? We got blue, bro. We got blue throwing a football from the upper deck. You might as well sell that sweet give up on that thing. That was a terrible time. I think this would be the worst time in the history to sell it. And I really like that sweet. We should close the doors and just have party inside. Hang inside. Yeah. Watch TV. Oh my god. Do a rehearsal, Jay-Z. I'm out of Lucas Hall. Great. Give it to one of the homeless down town. Yeah, Jay-Z. They don't even want to go. Yeah, you're probably. Come on, Jay-Z. Give me a half time show. Come do a show at Lucas Hall for our half time. We'll give an extendo half time on the CBS regional. Yes. Come on. Yeah, we definitely. All right. All right, Chefty, what's the fast bust? Yeah. Are you going to have a role in the half time show? I mean, there's-- you got to be doing that, right? No, please don't say that. You're having so many people mad questions. We're just talking here. This is not him reporting. I am not a part of that. And that geez Louise. Actually, I don't even know if I'm going to talk about-- You know, I don't even know if I'm going to talk about-- Oh, my god, sure. Is it? Tell me. I got sources. It's a tell me that you're under consideration. Chefty, don't do that. Thank you, Chefty. Thank you, Chefty. I'm doing that. That's not real. Ladies and gentlemen, Adidas Insider, Adam Schaefter. Adidas Insider. Congratulations, Jay-Z. Yeah. Super happy. Come on out. I mean, there is a lot of potential for appearances. Yeah. And he's made songs with everybody, you know, throughout the history of different genres of music. So if he just goes himself the whole time. would be one of the most hilarious and epic moves of all time. But let's assume that all this work that Jay-Z is currently doing going on tour all of a sudden. Okay, get back into shape, I think, for stage shape. Let's assume he's going to put together a hell of a show. I assume the collection is going to be pretty absurd. This is the Apple Music Half-Time, right? He's been one. That's been in charge of selecting who we're going to be the half-time performances. So there's obviously a lot of. - Love that. - Oh, that's nice. Hey, Dad, you know what? Pick up me. I actually do that a lot of people saying that. But let's assume that Jay-Z will piece together a phenomenal show for the half-time. He knows how many people are going to be watching. He knows what's at stake. And he has a library of songs that have so many features and collabs of just absent. 25 Grammys, is that the number? I think it's 25 Grammy Awards. I believe it's what Jay-Z has won in his entirety. And I mean, he's not gonna put Kanye up, is Kanye gonna mad at him? I think about it. Are we watching the throne, bro? Are we doing spade? I mean, watch the throne. One of the greatest albums of all time. Yeah, but there's some stuff that's happened since then. Certainly a lot, but it feels like he's showing up stadiums again. - You're a great guy. Mr. Carter. I believe he's a key. Not a lot of people are. - I believe he's a key. - I believe he is. - I believe he. - I believe he is. - I believe he is. - I mean, you got. - Let it hurt. - Some others. I mean, you got full. You got a lot of collapse. There's a chance this could be. Yeah, who else? Who are you talking about? So many people. I can't even think of there's so many. But I know there's some big time performers out there that he is collaborative. - Like? - Like, go ahead. Let me hear. You guys pretty much named them all. I don't know, I'm not as up. I'm pop culture. Yeah, it's peeps. - We could part. - Oh, yeah. I don't know if they've ever worked together, but I assume they know each other. No, I don't think bees and Jay-Z have gone. They definitely haven't. But I assume they know each other. They've been a studio together. Certainly. She swift. All right, Jay. Appreciate you. Good luck out there. That has potential though. Yeah. It's all right. Gadeau, you said, like, I guess when they made the agreement to put them in charge, that, hey, at some point, you have to. Roger, thank you. Yeah. Hey, part of the agreement here is that at some point, you do. Super half-time show. That's right. I assume that's accurate, you know. And. I don't think so. And Roger Gadeau, I think, understands what the superbowlies in the NFL understand. The masterpiece, you don't get paid for that, right? No. That's like the thing. You don't get paid. You don't get paid for that, right? No. No. I think Tom Petty, I think, was the first one to really open my eyes to it, did the halftime show and then the next day, like all Tom Petty's shit was his life. Back at number one. So it's like, it's a crazy platform by Bunny San Benito last year. That was the halftime show. Yep. A lot of cool Easter eggs down there. It was. I forgot about that. It was. Turn on over here. Timberlin Jackson. Yep. They did have an alt cast for the halftime show last year. My name is Kim. I forgot about that. What do you have? Super Bowl halftime show, you know, is kind of a huge platform that has become a huge discussion point. And Jay-Z doing a second. Yeah, Thanksgiving game with Eminem and Jack White, everything. Yeah. It was a phenomenal lifetime. Eminem and his business partner were the ones like picking who does that too. And they, he picked himself and that worked out pretty good. I think Jack White asked him if he would come join him up there. Okay. From my understanding, I think Jack White was like, hey, you have to come up please. It'd be a part of it. And nonetheless, that show was spectacular. A lot better than we had seen some Thanksgiving performances in the past. Man, I'll say. Yes. You remember everybody's watching. Let's come on. Okay. We all know what we're talking about. So they went home depot and bought a $119 inflatable and thought that was going to get people going crazy. Archie. They had stairs too and then it was a long walk. And they made a lot of money. Terrible. Who did that? They did. Yeah, they shaved on the set. Oh, yeah. I guess overhead, not that much. Right, right. Microphone. That's it. Oh, castle. Yep. They brought up themselves. Let me walk out here. That was your stadium, Foxy, doing that to the rest of America. Listen, we had to have that moment in order to get Jack White and Eminem. So I'd say that actually was worth it. I think the way they Jack White and Eminem were able to get the crowd in there without taking up too much space. Yeah. They were able to get the crowd in there and the way they were filming it looked like a massive crowd because, you know, whatever. Boom. Boom. Boom. It looks a lot better when hands are, you know, it's like the way they piece that show together. Yeah. For Thanksgiving was spectacular. And I'll be very curious who they picked this year. I know Dallas already picked theirs. I don't remember who it was. Leandro Lambert. Leandro Lambert, one of the writers of Choosing Texas. So let's assume if the Dallas Cowboys Thanksgiving half time. Nice. We're probably going to be Choosing Texas a little bit out there as well. Is Ella performing it though? She better be. Yeah. What do you mean? What about Drake? She'll come out. Oh, who? Oh, now we're off. Maybe Drake. Yes. Thank you. Happy 40th. I heard he had a good time out there. You know, the country music world was super excited that he started drinking. Yeah. Oh, bye. Yeah. Boom's favorite song right now. Yeah. Oh, yeah. You're going to run through that glass. What do you mean? Hey, he cut his teeth and nice. We'll just because you want to want Ella Langley concert. Doesn't mean he can do country music. That ain't something. I think champagne pop. Can I do whatever you want? Do whatever you want. Yeah. I think that's kind of how they were. That's Jay Z. Oh, yeah. And baby, hope. Whoo. You rock. Boys in the building tonight. LeBron James might go out there. That'd be cool. And sing. I mean, that's it. Why not? Or just who? It's going to be a show. It's going to be spectacular. It's going to be cinema, as they say. Yeah. But nobody is as cinema as the man that's about to reach right now. Okay. Former actor. And became a writer. And became a director. And they say, no, I'm going to do all of it. They call it an author. This man's brain and creativity is never ending. It's literally like the all of garden soup and salad bowls. Yep. That just have a nonstop plethora of awesome. I had the incredible opportunity of being a part of a movie that this man authored, which is coming out October 30th in theaters November 25th on Netflix. It is a spectacular war. What's the cost of war movie that involves four college football, all Americans going to the Marines. And inevitably setting up a football game on Christmas Eve called the mosquito bowl. The movie is going to be something that I think people are really going to enjoy. I think people are going to learn from. And I think people will say he did it again. The he, ladies and gentlemen, Peter Berg. Yeah. Peter. Love you guys. Good morning, Pat. AJ. Darius. Everybody. The whole team. So good to see you, fellas. Hey, Peter. Good night. I adore you, man. I love you. Well, it's very nice of you. I love you too, Peter. And we all love you, Peter. Don't we? We all love you. Peter, with how kind you've been to all of us. I think it's impossible for us not to love you. And I want to school for cinema. And then him being a part of this entire process, getting a chance to learn how you operate. You letting me into your world to experience it. We love you. But let's not talk about the love we have for you. Let's also talk about the love for the things that you create. Me getting a chance to see the mosquito bowl last week at the premiere. TCL theater out there in Los Angeles was a outer body experience, I would say. First time ever seeing myself act. Obviously on that big of a screen. Once my part was over, I could breathe and enjoy your movie and watch movie. I had two years at the end of this. I think I'm not the only one. Can you tell me a little bit about what it's been like showing people for the first time this mosquito bowl? I know you've been doing a lot of screenings with a lot of different people from Marines. I think to see your citizens and everybody in between. What has it been like kind of showcasing this work? And what is it normally like for you as people now will start to judge the hell out of your art, if you will, brother? It's been amazing, Pat. When Buzz Bissinger, who is my crazy cousin, who wrote Friday Nightlights, which I did as a movie and a TV show, when he told me he was cooking up a new story about this football game that was played with all American college football stars, Marines, and Guadalcanal, Christmas Eve, 1945. He had this idea for it. And he told me that after the game, these Marines all shipped off, went to Okinawa, and most of them died fighting in Okinawa. When Buzz told me this, I had a feeling he was on to something special. I felt it with Friday Nightlights, and I felt it with mosquito bowl. And this dude buzzed, man, when he gets his hands on something like football and writes about it, it's not just about football. It's about life. It's about all the things that you guys know. It's about family and community and love, and all of the things that really go into football when he told me he was doing something about war. I had a feeling he was going to do the same thing. So it is a war film. It is a football film, but it's really more than that, man. It's a film about the brotherhood, to film about sacrifice, and showing it now to people. Well, there were showing it to a bunch of hipsters at the Man's Chinese Theater, or were showing it to 700 Marines down at Camp Pendleton. The reaction is, it's really good. It feels great for me. And I'm just, you know, one guy, you understand this. There's hundreds of people behind me, my crew, my team. You, Pat, who are part of this, it all worked so hard to kind of find the soul of Ms. Guitabal. And cannot wait for you guys to see it. Yeah, I'm excited for the world to get a chance to see it as well. I love the opportunity to watch it early, amongst the hipsters out there at the Chinese Theater. Everybody was so nice to me, I appreciate that. But your team, you mentioned there, Ezra and Alex and everybody at Netflix, you know, editors. The amount of time that you put into crafting this movie, I did not fully understand because I don't know your business as well. You lived in Australia for how long to shoot this movie just so people could get it. For seven months, so I've been doing this now for about two years. I started with my research. I went to the island of Okinawa and the Marines that are there. And we got a whole bunch of incredible Marines. Hundreds of thousands of Marines in Okinawa right now. Shout out to everyone in Okinawa and they took me. Several of them took me on a tour of what the Marines went through on that island. And for anyone that doesn't know, it was halacious fighting. It was some of the nastiest fighting of World War II. Hundreds of thousands of Americans, Japanese and Okinawa civilians were killed. It was brutal fighting. And they took me inch by inch from the center of the island all the way to the southern tip where the war ended. And it's pretty intense. You see where I don't mean to get all heavy early in the morning. But this is what happened. Women were throwing themselves off of cliffs. Thinking that the Marines were going to do horrible things to them. Because that's what the Japanese told them. And the Japanese officers were all committing sepico, which is suicide. And you go to these places and you stand on these cliffs and you feel it. And it really gets in your blood, man. And that got me going. And then I went to Paris Island where you went. And I spent three weeks with these young recruits. These 17, 18-year-old, extraordinary young men and women. And the drill instructors who were training them. And I would spend my days at Paris Island. And then I'd go this tiny little motel right off the base. And it would just pour out of me. You know, I'd just start writing it. And I just had a lot of fire. I had a lot of fire. You always try and have fire for a movie. So you always try and show up to play football game. Sometimes it just works out a little bit better. But I definitely was feeling it. And I think you felt it when you were down there with this. Yeah, definitely in Paris Island. Got a chance to learn and experience what it's like in their world. And so much respect. First to fight. So everybody that's going into Marines is being told, hey, you were fighting. No matter what time of era you sign up for the Marines, the Marines are fighting. That is the group of people they are. So that's a story you're telling. And I think it hits so close to home and you live in Australia for seven months. You've been editing this for 18 months. Obviously you do all the recon and research as you type this out off of the mosquito bowl book from Buzz. But I think this was a real passion project for you too, right? Dad Marine, I think. And also you're one of the biggest football fans on Earth. So this is kind of combining family, life, world history, and a phenomenal tale. Feels like this is everything the Peter Berg is kind of attached to in real time in one film, which is why I felt so honored to be a part of it. But can you tell me a little bit about that being a passion project as well? And maybe a lot of people are saying, you're best film ever brother. I mean, that is being discussed by many, many folks. I think it's because it pulls so many strings of yours. Is that something you agree with or no? Yeah, for sure. I mean, look, obviously I love football and I'm a passionate football fan. And I think I understand the sport fairly well. And I love it. I have done films like Loan Survivor. And you know, pretty clear on the fact that I have tremendous support and love for the men and women of our military. And I think we owe it to them to pay respects and to acknowledge what they do and the risk that they take. So those are two big things for me. I think the added kicker, Buzz's father was a marine, fought in Okinawa. My dad was a marine, served during the Korean War. And when I was a kid, my dad made sure I understood the Marine Corps. And he took me to the World War II Museum, which for anyone that's in New Orleans or thinking about going to New Orleans, you must go to the World War II Museum. It's a mind blowing place. It will humble you. It'll bring tears out of your eyes. He would take me there. He would take me to the Marine Corps Museum in D.C. He would take me to the Marine Corps barracks with the Marine Silent Drill Platoon marches. And Pat, you saw them. We got them to come to our premiere, which would have made my dad so incredibly proud. And my dad also took me to Arlington Cemetery, often. And my dad has now buried at Arlington. So during the course of this film, I would take trips down to Arlington and talk to my dad about the movie and what he was thinking. And I like going and visiting my dad in Arlington, for one of the reasons, because I get to do all the talk. And finally, and he has to listen. And so we have, what I think, a fair conversation. I'm not afraid to say some of the other ones. But yeah, my father would have been incredibly into this movie and proud of it. And it's been so cool to see young people see this film. And in D.C., we showed it to the oldest Marine from Okinawa. The only living man left alive who was 99 years old, who was apt to misguidab all. And afterwards, he just was holding onto my hand. And he wouldn't let go of it for 10 minutes and just telling me about the game and telling me about his friends. And you know, it's special. It's special to be able to, you know, you try and hit them all deep and hard. And sometimes you do, sometimes you don't. This one I feel really good about. Yeah, I mean, it was, it's a phenomenal movie. Now, I'm biased because I'm a huge fan of yours, both the work you do. Even back when you were an actor, absolutely crushing it. And young Hanson, Peter Burke, and a model. By the way, people forget about how Hanson, you know, Peter Berg was and is. But I also, just America, the greatest generation, and also football, kind of coming together. I think it's a nice reminder that America, you know, has been a place in the past that has stood up for the good of this world. But also there is a lot of reminder to people about what actual war is. And there's war's happening right now. And I think whenever you made the movie, I think you were very diligent on a lot of things. Tony has a question for you, Peter. Yeah, Peter, obviously when you're making a war movie and all the best war movies, portray war accurately and just, you know, how just absurd war is overall. And, you know, at all the feelings that come along with that. How important was it to you in this to portray what was going on accurately? And then also to portray the Marines accurately because that's a huge part of this. Yes, I mean, yes to both of your questions. The movie, the movie is very violent. It's it's pretty intense, Pat. Would you agree with that? Was that go ahead Peter? I'm sorry, I think you just said that. I said the movie, the movie is in fact a pretty violent portrayal of combat. And, you know, for those who've seen it, we don't sugarcoat it. It would be disrespectful to the Marines who fought in the Pacific Campaign and islands like Iwo Jima, Taroa, Okinawa. These were unimaginably, unimaginably horrific battles. And, you know, these were young 18, 19-year-old kids who were, you know, storming beaches, fighting on these tiny little islands. And then the other side, there were thousands of young Japanese kids dug into holes waiting for these Americans and they just fought to the death. There was no surrender. It was killed or be killed. These soldiers had no bulletproof vests. They had no communication. They didn't have air support flying over them. There were no drones there. It was just quite simply fight with their brothers, win or die. And, because of that, we wanted to capture a certain level of intensity. We went after that, you know, very, very hard. And, as far as pain respect to the Marines, 100 percent, one of the things that, you know, the movie opens with a quote by President Hoover, he says, "Old men declare war, but it is the youth that must fight and die." And I believe that that's a very powerful quote. And we all need to, you know, be real careful about where and when we decide to send our Marines, our Armed Forces. So I'd like to say, if you ask the Marines to go, they will go. So I think it's really important for anyone that is not serving to think about this, to ask our leaders who are, you know, in the position to send them. Are we making the right choices? Are we sending them to the right places? Do we have a plan? Do we have a plan to get out? These are important questions, because, you know, 75 million people died on planet earth in World War II. 75 million people. About 18 million died in World War I. So if you look at World War I, 18, World War II, 75 million. I don't want there to be a World War III. I want people to play football. I want people to hug their families. I want us to have a strong military, and I want us to be real careful about what we do with that. Amen. And I was in talk back with AJ when you asked me if I thought it was case, yes. I think it is a very violent movie. I think it is very well shot. I think you are known for that, and I think this is, it takes you in there. I mean, you feel it as you are watching it, and I think what you are talking about with the 75 million deaths and the 18 million in World War I, 75 million, I think there is a rewiring of your system after watching it. I don't want to talk too much about the shooting of the movie, but there were some real dangerous, I mean, Peter Brooks is not like a green screen guy. Not a lot of green screen. I mean, wanted the movie to feel like a participatory experience for the audience. You are not a spectator. You are not sitting back with your arms crossed. We wanted to try and put you in the middle of it and make you feel as destabilized as those young men must have felt trying to move through these islands. That was their goal, and I think about, AJ, think about when you were playing college football, you weren't all American. These guys, Tony Buttkovich, Dave Schreiner, these guys were all American football players, just like when you were at Ohio. Imagine if in the middle of your career something like Pearl Harbor happened, and you just put the football down and volunteered went to Paris Island. You had eight weeks of training, and you're then on a ship being sent out to a little island told to get off that island and go kill anybody that you did in front of you. And, you know, Christian McCaffrey came and worked with us a lot, and he worked with Ray Nicholson, our actor, and Christian would talk about that. Like, could not imagine being a young college for all American football player, and suddenly you're asked to go and do that. I think it's pretty powerful. Yeah, I'd say it's very powerful. Now, on that note, AJ has a question for you, Peter. Yeah, Peter, you mentioned it's always good to have that fire. You get down to Paris Island and go back to the hotel and be typing up and just have that fire. This movie feels pretty easy to sustain that fire, I guess, but has there been movies in the past where sustaining that fire for seven months, two years, as you're working through a project, might be a little more difficult. So I like to say that, you know, movies are like my children. I love all of them. Maybe secretly. Sometimes I love one just a little bit more, depending on, you know, a bunch of things. I love all, every movie I've made. And my passion is generally pretty strong, but certainly the movies, like Loan Survivor, Friday Night Lights, Patriots Day, this one, Deepwater Horizon. These are non-fiction stories. These are real stories. And then I can go do my research. I can go live with the college high school football team in Texas for Loan Survivor. I am bedded with a seal platoon and I rack for a month. I can get into it and I can feel it. And whenever I feel it, like with Mosquito Bowl, my energy is endless. And if it's not, if it's something that's maybe a little bit more made up, my energy is good, but I'm not, you know, when I'm making a movie like Mosquito Bowl, I know we're going to show this at Camp Pendleton or at Paris Island. I know we're going to show it to families who've lost loved ones in all wars. And we're going to be held accountable to a very high standard. So that gets me up early. That keeps me up late. That gives me Pat McAfee energy. I don't stop. I won't stop. He's actually like that, AJ. You should see him on set. It was so cool. The days I got to shoot some scenes. Obviously, I'm working. So I'm listening to Peter coach me. And there's some, I mean, he's the coach. That's what he is. He's a general manager, put the fuckers together. He's also the game manager because he's put the script together for the game. And he's also the coach. And that was my first time acting, AJ. Okay. So I had no fucking idea what any of this was. I had no clue when I get there. All right. You're going to hop in a car. I think the guy's name was Tim in Australia. Drown me around. I appreciate you. Mike. He was incredible down there. He drives me. Get into a trailer. Okay. They have me entire schedule. You're going to sit here for you. You got three minutes to sit right here. Okay. And this trailer. Good luck. Now you're going to get up. You're going to wardrobe. You're going to coach. I get into the thing. Okay. They have it all. Now you're going over to make them. Okay. Here's your hat. All right. Sweet. Now you're getting into this. We're going to drive you over to the set. This set was a shutdown train station in Brisbane. The entire train station. They shut it down. Built Paris Island on there. So as I'm pulling up in this thing, I'm a holy fuck. This is a lot. There's this is big. This is this is a big thing. There's the amount of people that were working on it. The amount of cameras. The space that it entailed. What it was. And then he got him in his. I don't know what it's called. You have all the screens in front of you. He's got a head phone. He got a headphones on. One on one off. He's strong. He had video village maybe or whatever it is. He's got this little better. What's that? Now keep going. I'm with you. Yeah. What is that called there? What is that area called? Video village. AJ is right. Video village. AJ knows the movie base. So he's over there. Video village. He's got one head phone on one head phone off. He's got a microphone right there that has to fucking the whole place. If he needs to talk to everybody, he's talking to everybody. He's got this little gadget, little soft thing. He's throwing back and forth, watching the screen. And then all of a sudden, he'll just screen things out. I'll try to say V5 foe from next time. Okay. And then I'm just sitting there. I'm like, Jesus, fucking Christ. Here we go. I can't believe I'm on a Peter Berg film right now. And the way you talked to me, coached me and kind of guided me through that entire thing that I certainly was not supposed to be a part of. I am so grateful and thankful for you. And I want to let you know, it was an honor to play for your team coach. I would like to let you know that you're a great coach if you're ever to get into that. And I think that is a huge part of your role as director, let alone the author part. But I was very thankful to be a part of your team, man. And I think everybody would say that that works for you. Well, I appreciate it. And I've talked a bunch of football coaches. And there are similarities, you know, depending on the moment, you've got to know about electricity, construction, clothing. And the big one is human psychology. You know, it's like trying to coach football team. You've got multiple personality disorders all playing on the field at the same time. And you've got to figure out how to kind of, you know, get everybody moving in the same direction. And, and you've got to figure out a way of communicating. And you got to kind of do it fast. And sometimes you've got to be very gentle and nurturing. And other times you got to just come over the top and say, just shut the fuck up and do it. As it's written. And that works for some people. A lot of people it doesn't. But I really, really enjoyed working with you. You were, you were dedicated. You were an open book. You just, you wanted to be of service to the drill instructors, to the Marine Corps. You had your buddy Pat with you who is a Marine. Any, any Marine is a Marine for life. So he's, was a drill instructor. You know, when you're, when you're dealing with this kind of world, real, real life stuff, it just kind of exists on a higher frequency. And everybody wants to, to do the very best job they can because they know who's going to be watching this movie. And they don't want to let him down. And you were part of that, man. Thank you. Cheers. Him. You should. Cheers to you, dude. He was fun in an honor to watch you work. And all the actors from my understanding. I didn't know this. I was told this afternoon's, you know, they're going to take some days that they're shooting in Australia for this American sports talk show host to yell in our faces. This is what we're doing for this movie. This is a big time warm mood. This guy's never acted before. I think they're all like, what type of trained is it? The super to Shakespearean training. Yeah. Yep. These are all Shakespearean trained actors. These are all, you know, right, Nicholson's obviously been doing his scars, guards been doing his, Tom Francis. I think he is one awards ever. And then Goulson was just the human star movie over in there. These are all like very good fucking test beings. Like these guys are phenomenal actors. I think there was a great reason why you picked them to be the gentleman that they were and how they went about doing their business. But I think from my understanding afterwards, I learned that some of the agents had some questions on why the guy never fucking acted before is in this movie we're doing. But how kind the actors were to me? Like Ray Nicholson came up to me after like the first take that I did, first take a lot of talking. First take he comes up to me goes, brother, you should not be this good as you are right now. You're crushing this. And I'm like, thanks, man. Like I kind of needed that obviously because I have no fucking clue what's going on. And then Bill Skarsgard, he comes out to me is like, hey, don't change anything. You're killing it right now. I'm like, thank you. Thank you. Like really like they knew that I was probably imposter syndrome times 1000 at that set without a big of a movie it was. And then you coaching me up. It's one of my favorite things. I'm giving a speech at the end, okay, about their family failing them. And me, I am to fix them in eight weeks to get ready for what they are. Their relationships have been terrible. And I pick up the rifle then I do the rifleman's creed, the seven things in there. And the first time I go through it, I think I nail it because I hit every word. Okay, that's what I'm like, man, I fuck it. Every word, bro, I don't need a damn. I feel like I crushed it. He comes out to me, he goes, hey, you know that song, ball with the ball to bang the thing. Diggy, diggy, diggy, diggy said the boogie set up. Jump the boogie. I said it rock. Yeah, I know that song. He goes, and then what, ball with the ball to bang the thing. Diggy, diggy, diggy, diggy, diggy said the boogie set up. Jump the boogie, ball with the ball to back. I need you to ball with the ball this thing. That's literally what you said. And then it was like two seconds later he's like all right again, and then you just walk off and it was like such a good coaching Like point to me and it made your entire point make sense and then as I'm going I'm like literally as I'm walking over to rifle. I'm like I remember fucking ball with the ball now here We go like as I'm doing it. So I just want to let you know Thank you to you. Thank you to everybody that was on that set for being so kind to me and It was an honor, bro to be a part of that shit actually and thank you. Thank you. Thank you Well, thank you. Thank this whole team your team AJ I love you. You guys bring a lot of happiness to a really rough world at times And I just love how seriously you actually do take sports you joke about it But I know how much it means to you. I know how you live for it and it is important and what you're doing is very very important So I tip my hat to the whole team. Oh, we love you Peter. Okay. We have a couple more questions here Not just about mosquito bowl, but about the beers. You're actually one of the greatest of all time Do you about has a question for you? Yeah, period You've been filmmaking for a long long time now. I just want to action We were just talking about coaching. We were talking about baseball earlier football and kind of the more things changed the more They stayed the same. I just want to know where like what kind of things that you've stick to from the beginning and then where have you evolved the most when it's came to fit filmmaking? So I guess one of the things that I stick to is the idea of like Draft the best athletes and and let them let them do what they do best rather rather than trying to control Trying to control everything. I just look for really talented people more than I used to when I did my first movie a long time and go Very bad things. I was so insecure I felt like talk about imposter syndrome. I had somehow bluffed my way into having Cameron Diaz and Jeremy Piven and John Favre was making my first movie. I had no clue if somebody walked up to me and said good morning I'd say what the fuck does that mean? What are you trying to say to me? What is what are you trying to say to me and they'd say well, I'm just I'm I'm just saying good morning Pete I'd be like I'm watching you don't do that. I was I was really tense, you know, and as I've continued to make movies and you know, I'm so fortunate to be able to do this for a long time. I'm More relaxed. I'm more willing to get on just kind of get the best people around me and say hey you guys show me Phil Jackson was one of my favorite coaches and I used to love the way he wouldn't call timeouts You know the the Lakers would be like on the wrong end of an 18-point run and he just let him play and he'd just sort of let it Let it evolve and let it work out and obviously it did more times and it didn't and now That's kind of my biggest approach is I have I have ideas. I have a plan, but I'm gonna let you kind of Do your thing and I'm gonna watch it and I'm gonna encourage you to do whatever it is you're doing if you're acting If you're holding a camera if you're an editor if you're an actor you show me show me what you want to do I know you're good. I know you have talent. Let's see what it is and if it doesn't work for me I'll kind of control it but like with Pat, you know, like he's making a joke about the kid rock But I wanted him you know, Pat didn't have that much experience and I wanted there to be a build to what he was saying So it started kind of low and it got bigger and bigger and bigger And I'm thinking well, I could talk to him about twenty for about 20 minutes about that But I know that we both like kid rock and I know he knows that song And I at least I was betting he would and he did and I was able to just kind of find a way To communicate with them without trying to control it and that's been a big a big learning lesson for me Kind of in life, you know, I call it loose hands. Don't hold on to things so tight Relax a little bit and have faith that talented people are gonna gonna execute, you know I did see you know, I'm a giant fan and I saw my coach after after the OT win I saw him just pack all his player and I could relate to that because I I feel that kind of love Oh, you guys are good. Oh, yeah Well, it's wait on you. We know you're a giant's fan brother. We knew it's coming to you guys quick. Yeah, we got fox and Bruce back there Yeah, they're ready Cheers fellas. Well done. Yeah, you had no idea. I was gonna say that. I've got goose bumps But that that's that I relate to that. I really relate to that not you know Not just because I'm a giant fan that could have been an Eagles Player of getting celebrated not this you say quite even maybe not probably not this year But that that to me is kind of how I would like to I like to kind of tackle and hug and lift people up and And try and pull the very best out of people that I can and I didn't do that when it was very bad things And it was like this every time someone get morning said good morning to me. I was just I Was I was an angry young very insecure man, and I just feel a little more comfortable My hands are a little bit loose you coach having caused a transactional to transformational You know, he used to be a transactional leader then he became a transformational leader where he was trying to transform The relationships in the process of what we're working on as opposed to just trying to get wins and losses Wins and losses has you just worried about everything that's happening as opposed to a transformational Which we're working on the journey to get to where we need to get to he talked about that with the Michigan state Ohio state game Where is one of the biggest upsets he's ever had? That was the first week he did that if they don't win that game Obviously, they don't become what they become so I think that's what you're describing here and once again I'll go back to your coach, bro You are a coach on that set completely and I think you do a phenomenal job and you talk about hugging guys Can you tell me a little bit about Ray Bill Nick and Tom? I mean these guys I didn't know obviously I knew the names, but I didn't know that person I knew it. Yeah, I knew he was it When I say like I hired the best athletes three of those guys Bill Skars guard Tom Francis and Nick Gal Design Two brits in a suite. They don't know how to play football. They they were not football players nick a little bit The other two had never played football and and they were like why did you cast us and when I when I when I cast them Well, I was looking for see actors were all the biggest liars in the world I have a little inside a little item chef for here. Okay, they're all liars I was an actor. I was a huge liar if you ask me I can ride bulls. I can fly space I can speak multiple languages So they all told me they could play football. I knew they were lying. I'm like you're lying. It's okay But you're lying. I said I don't really care. I'm looking for passion, you know And I'm looking for something that can tell me why they connect to this story What they feel about the brotherhood why they understand that we should acknowledge the sacrifice the men and women make for our Countries and I could feel their passion and I said to them When I cast them I said we can teach you up enough football and we have great coaches and brought a bunch of D1 players All the way to Australia to help we could teach you enough football So so it looks right, but you can't you just literally cannot teach that kind of passion So those three guys had the passion Ray Nicholson was a big high school start and play a lot of college But very good athlete and so Ray and Christian McCaffrey came down and Being around Christian got the other guys dialed up real quick because Christian doesn't play I'm an incredible human being cannot say enough about Christian and that entire family, but having His presence around those guys. It was just like osmosis. He did his his spirit just poured into them And and those those European fellows got it real quick There's Christian walking in with Tony Buckovich, which is played by Ray. He was the yep So Christian Christian rock the Tony Buckovich jersey. That's Purdue that kid Tony Buckovich was probably the best offensive player In the country in 1941 running back for Purdue set Still holds a Purdue touchdown record set the national collegiate record that season then he went off to a war Lost his life in Okinawa and and Christian was really taken with With Tony Buckovich I would send Christian videos of Tony running and Chris will call me back and be like this is a man amongst boys Yeah, he was doing things like nobody as simple as it sounds like making cuts and and transferring the ball back in 1941 He was doing that. He was he looked like like say quon at times and certainly look like Christian and Christian locked in on that But to have Christian as part of our family helping these European actors learn what they didn't know because they had the passion and again, I'll go with passion Over you know skill any day. I think you can acquire skill. You certainly cannot acquire passion Classic Peter Berg - we get footage from the boys, you know And then you see what the actual clip is from the movie and then you see it. It's like yeah in Tony Buckovich AJ couldn't tackle his ass. Whoa. AJ can not attack. You don't have to work for it. He would have made you work for it Like you saw what Scalibu did last game, right? If you have that right now, I'm going to lose my mind. Okay, you don't have to. -This is Buckavitch, I think. -This is Tony Buckavitch. Touchdown, Tony Buckavitch. He was a man amongst boys. -Yeah, I mean, look at him. -Yeah, I watched. -I watched "Two Tiger Angles," guys. -Yeah, you be screwed. -They don't know anything about pursuit angles in 1941, brother. -Look at how it's the deepest. -Touchdown, Tony. -Yeah, and also, touchdown, Tony, being so damn good, you know he's electric off the field. He is. He's an electric character, Ray Nicholson, I think, was the perfect person for it, but I think he loved all these guys loved getting to know their characters, which I think was something that I was kind of realizing in real time. Like, Bowman, with no scars. Go ahead. -I mean, you know, these players had uncles and those uncles had kids, and those kids have kept alive the memory of Buckavitch and Shreiner and McClaurie and Bowman. So the families are sending letters and pictures and many conversations to the actors, which does two things. It gives the actors real insight into the character's going to play, and it also scares the shit out of them because they know these folks are going to be watching the movie, and they want to do a good job. They're not, you know, every actors take all the roles seriously. Oftentimes, when I did "Lone Survivor," you know, Mark Wahlberg having to play "Marcus of Troll," and "Marcus of Troll," being on that set every day, saying, "Look, man, my brother's died. This really happened. You get it right, and you make sure everybody gets it right. You make sure that, or we're going to have a real problem." That hits a little bit differently than, you know, maybe a romantic comedy where you're, you know, "Wolf barrels roommate," or something, full respect, but it just hits differently. I love comedies, and I really love "Wolf barrel." This is a different experience for an actor. When you know you've got not only the family members, but you've got the entire United States Marine Corps watching. You sit up a little bit straighter, and you lock in, man, you really lock in. Yeah, be a DI. You remember Arley and Fullmetal Jacket? Yeah, he was an actual DI. Yeah, we know. That's what we're talking about. That's like, "Okay, I remember. I'm going to try my absolute best, but I think the Marine Corps, for my understanding, watching it, proud of the story that's being told about the Marines." Ty has a question for you, Peter? Yeah, Peter, I'd assume that throughout the course of your career, especially when you've been doing it this long, you're a little bit of a perfectionist when it comes to your work. When you have a movie like this that's like so close to you personally, I assume there's a bunch of stuff that got left on the cutting room floor that you absolutely love than you wanted to have in there. How difficult has that been? Now that the film is complete, and I assume you've watched it a thousand times, but do you have moments where you're like, "Oh, man, I really wish that I could have included this part." You know, day in, day out, or are you kind of at peace with it, and you're like, "You know what? No." The movie is perfect the way it is, and this is how it needs to be. Right, so I'm completely bipolar with that. One minute, I'm completely at peace. Right now, if you ask me, "I love the film. I'm very happy with the cut in an hour." I'm going to suddenly be like having a cup of coffee, and I'm going to just remember something that I could have done, or something I left out, and I'm going to go crazy. And there's absolutely nothing I can do about it. So for me, part of the process is you learn that you have to let go. You have to make decisions. Sometimes are hard decisions, you know, in our world. Like, when you think about the decisions that the Marine Corps had to go through, and World War II, these are not hard decisions. These are, you know, easy decisions, and I feel very lucky. But, you know, when I have to look at Ray Nicholson, who's watched in a cut, and he remembers some scene he did that didn't make it into the film, and he's looking at me, and he's just boring his eyes into mine, and he's sort of like, "Brother, why?" And I have to kind of explain to him, and there's no explaining that's ever going to, you know, make that feel 100% okay. As an actor, I have empathy for that. But, you know, at the end of the day, you know, to make a football analogy, you have to make decisions. And some players aren't going to get all the reps they want. You might make a decision, you regret. But the goal is to protect the film, the overall two and a half hours out of the film, and if something is not working for whatever reasons, you just have to make those choices, and you have to live with them. But I would be a total liar if I said I didn't second-guess myself. I do. And then I just try and put it aside and say that it was the right choice for the film. For the good of the movie, for the good of the program. And that way, that's what matters. You know, like, you've got to get the W. And by any means necessary. And I don't always get it right. Sometimes I'm like, "You know what? I actually got that wrong. I should have put that in." And I missed that one. And that's life. Yeah, it is life. But I think you got to write with this movie. I mean, obviously, it's released this Friday in theaters nationwide. And then on Netflix, November 25th, it's powerful. I think it's moving. There's moments of. There's pops in there too. You got funny moments, obviously. You get to know the characters. You get to know the stories behind them. And then there's some brutal war in there. It feels like a perfect film from you, Peter, just as somebody that is very biased and at all. And on set, it felt like you guys thought it was good too, right? Like, when I got there, you guys had already done a bunch of shooting. But it felt like the vibes were very high. It felt like everybody kind of knew that good things were happening. Is that accurate? Is that normal or no? Well, I think it's accurate. I think we did. We brought everyone in for about a month, a little over a month for rehearsal. For football rehearsal and military rehearsal. And the real reason that I like to do that is, you know, you guys know about the Brotherhood. The Brotherhood is real. And you have to kind of go through some highs and lows. And you got to fight with each other. You got to go out drinking with each other. You got to fight for each other. You got to spend that time, which anyone that's played on a team certainly understands. And after a month with the actors and with the crew, you know, we were, you know, way far away from our homes. We're in Australia. We're awake. Everybody in all of our loved ones are asleep back here. We just kind of had each other. And I wanted that immersion. I wanted the guys spending that much time with each other. And there were fights. There were moments with these guys. It didn't give a moment. These one guy didn't like this guy. And one two guys didn't like this guy. And I'm like, great. Let's get it all out. Let's fight. Let's argue. Let's get petty. I like. Let's get as petty as we can. And then let's let it all go. And let's start to love each other here. And let's start to look out for each other. And let's start to want for each other to win. And let's help that help each other win. And I saw that. And I think by the time you got onto the set, there was a brotherhood there. And these guys are like ridiculous at how close they are now. I'm never seen anything quite like that. A little bit of a lone survivor. But you know, you know what it's like to be on a team. And what that brotherhood is. And you know, within the team, you can say all kinds of shit to each other and talk smack and just have fights. But somebody from the outside comes and says something that doesn't work. No, we are we are brothers. And you know, not comparing the brotherhood here to a Marine Corps brotherhood. But if you can imagine, you know, a friend group brotherhood, then a football team brotherhood. And think what a team in Navy seals or a platoon of Marines gets into after they've seen some combat. That is brotherhood on the highest level. And it's all, you know, there's a chord that connects it all. And what you're seeing here was, you know, a very real version of the brotherhood. No, he goes felt like everybody. I mean, at some point I assume there was he goes. It sounds like he's describing during boot training camp and boot camp that they kind of went through there, which is good. Let's get past it. Everybody clearly had a common goal for the good of the movie. And getting to see everybody for the first time since I had been in Australia. It was great. And throughout this entire press process that you guys been doing, the you guys have been together a lot. It feels like everybody still loves each other and enjoy. The hell out of each other. It is been, once again, I can't stress enough. I was very lucky to be a part of what you guys put together over there in the crew that you assembled phenomenal. We're talking camera people athletes, freak athletes having to be in there. The actors. Obviously the military and the Marines that not only first Sergeant Garland, who's in the movie, but the military folks that came in to help everybody felt like they're a part of it. Everybody felt like they're a part of your team and your family. And we appreciate you. I think one of my favorite things that happened. I felt like a real actor. So, you know, you've heard about people being, what is that? Method actors were on the set. They are the person all the time. I was not, I didn't have a capability to be a method actor because if there was a pop to get a chance to get a pop somewhere during the down time, I was certainly going to take that. Okay, I was certainly going to, you know, kind of do that because there's a lot of time shooting with each other. I was only there for two weeks. You do your thing. There's a scene though, you know, where the boys are hand-to-hand combat. Okay, they're fighting. And I'm getting after their ass in this thing. Okay, I'm getting after it pretty good. We have a break. I'm full sweat. By the way, full lather. You'll see it. Yes you are. I was full sweat in this thing. I was in, I mean, I was in this thing. During the break, the boys come up to me and they go, and it felt like, man, I'm a real actor here. I got these guys. Like, what's one of us that you think could beat you up if we had to? That's how mad these guys were getting. Like, and that's how mad they were, they were like, thinking and plotting about trying to fight me. in real life. And I'm like, yes, feels like I nailed the character in which I was supposed to do. But then I started thinking about that. And I as first Sergeant Garland, it was there. I was like, what would you do if a recruit came out to you and goes, I would fight them all right there. (laughing) It was like a funny bow, it was a funny, but I felt like a real actor in there where these guys were actually getting so like worked up by the shit that I was saying to them while they were fighting. They was thinking about actually fighting me in the moment. I was like, I feel like I did pretty good here. I feel like I got the job done. Once again, they were very kind to me. But just them plotting and having that conversation means that I did kind of seemingly represent a person that they wanted to beat up, which I think all of a sudden is pushing their DI. - You got into their blood, you were all over them. And you pissed them off. And that means it was working. I mean, that was fairly intense combat. Those guys were hitting each other. When I was doing my research at Paris Island, they took me to the fight pit. And that was one of the things that really blew my mind. If you go down to Paris Island, way out in the woods, there's this like gladiator pit. And they take the young recruits. And these were 17, 18 year old men. They had never been in a fight. These are not fighters. These are not Navy SEALs. These are just young kids were about to, in the middle of joining the Marine Corps. And they just take them. They get boxing gloves. They do get a lacrosse helmet, but they take the shield off of it. And they just make them fight. And it's pretty powerful. Which are done away from the public eye. And there's an element of safety. If someone's getting knocked unconscious, they'll stop it. But it's their first experience with real face punch violence. And to see that and to see these kids kind of waking up that particular flavor of warrior spirit was something I wanted to put in the film. I mean, it was also like 4.45 in the morning. And I remember watching these kids just beating these shit out of each other at 4.45. Again, the drilling structures are there. I have to say this, making sure nobody gets really hurt. But they're getting fucked up. There's blood. And I remember calling my son. It was 4.45 and I'm like, what are you doing right now? Because I'll tell you what these kids are doing right now. And they're not sleeping. And the scene that we recreated with you doing that, when I was watching you do it, I was right back to Paris Island 4.45 in the morning remembering what that energy felt like. And that's what we were trying to capture. And that's why those actors want to take a swing at you because you were provoking them. - You're a good provoker. - Thank you. I was trying my best. First Sergeant Garland, who was an actual DI Paris Island for three and a half years and I think two years in San Diego. And this fighting thing's real. 'Cause at war, you're gonna, no knife, no gun. You were this other person, you gotta fight. Like you're gonna have to actually do it. How do you teach people how to fight? They gotta fight. Like that is literally the only way to figure it out. So I was like asking first Sergeant Garland in there. I'm like, how do you handle this? He goes, you just gotta know you can beat the fuck out of all of them if you have to. And they gotta know that you can do that. But you gotta actually make killers out of these guys. You gotta like, if you see it, you gotta tell them to finish or you gotta tell this person to get the fuck up and they need to fight. It's like, it's a real thing. This is survival. Like there's a chance at these guys. First of all, you're a Marine. You are tasked with making these Marines. Every Marine has to be able to fight. So if somebody's getting a fucking ass kicked in it, that's bad for the entire Marine Corps. It's bad for the platoon that they're with. It's fucking bad for everybody. So there's no like, hey, better luck next time. It's like, get your fucking ass up and get your ass back in there and fight. And it was like, listening to first Sergeant Garland like explain that to me. It was like, this is a real part of first the fight Marine. Like this is really what it is. So it's just like understanding everything a little bit more about the Marine Corps was a privilege. It was an absolute privilege to learn about them. But that scene, those guys afterwards coming up and be like, who do you think? I'm like, yes. Feels like it has worked. And then I asked for Sergeant Garland. I'm like, I assume a lot of recruits want to fight you. He goes, every fucking wonderful. That is how this goes. You gotta let him know that that's how it is. So it was, I felt like a real actor in there. I felt like a real. What's amazing to about Paris Island is, if you follow these recruits for the 12 weeks, 90% of the time the drilling structures are just in their face. They're provoking them. They're creating that kind of feeling where the recruits want to attack the Marines. But at the end after the crucible, when they have the anchor globe eagle ceremony when they become Marines, yeah, everything changes. And they complete the crucible, which is this exhaustive five day event. And it ends with 30 mile march. And they stand up on that parade grounds. And they're exhausted. They haven't slept in five days. And suddenly the drilling structures go from being that kind of intense to shaking their hands, to telling them good job, to welcome them to the Marine Corps. And they pin them. And I'm telling you the first time I saw it, I get emotional thinking about it. I'm sobbing. These young men are sobbing. The parents have come. The parents don't even recognize their children because whatever they dropped off or whatever they took to that bus station looks nothing like the young man or woman that's standing there, getting their Marine Corps pin. And you realize that there's a true method to what the drill instructors are doing. And I just think the drill instructors are extraordinary human beings. And they are turning these young men and women into people of character and self-respect. And they also happen to be quite dangerous by the time they get out of there. And it's a beautiful transformation to watch. Yeah. That EGA ceremony, the Eagle Globe anchor ceremony, I was able to watch one. And everything you're describing, so real. And we had just seen this group, same group, during crucible, where they were underneath barbed wire, shrapnel flying, face in mud, kind of dragging through. And because the DIs are Marines, these recruits don't deserve to be Marines. That's kind of like the mindset. You don't deserve to be what we are. And maybe if you're able to get through this, you will finally deserve to be called a Marine. But that's like the mindset that I learn mostly from Paris Island and from first sergeant. It's like, yeah, these recruits don't deserve to be called Marines right now. They are nowhere near it. And our job is to fix them and make them into something that we can all appreciate. All right, Peter, we've taken up a lot of your time here. We appreciate the hell out of you, man. Mosquito bowl Friday. I hope everybody goes and watches it. It is an incredible tribute to the bad asses of the past, who took a stand for the entire world, while also celebrating football, brotherhood, and what has actually happened in our world's history. Peter, I think you did a great job alongside your team. Thank you for letting me be a part of it and thank you for the time today, brother. All right, thank you. Thank you, gentlemen. Love you all. We love you. Peter. Yeah, Peter. All right, let's take a break. The movie's good. Oh, yeah. I was scared to death. Watching that thing. I was scared to death going in there. I was like, what if people get up in the lead whenever my teammates-- What if I fucking-- Peter would never put me in if I was bad? That's what I think. Peter's too good at fucking my tour. He sent too much of his life into this movie to put me in something that's bad. Oh, I'm going to feel bad because I'll appear. I'm going to give a fuck for the good of the film. We're doing this. So I kind of came to ease as the movie was starting. I was like, all right, I'm just going to take this in for what it is. I've looked up how actors react whenever they see themselves act for the first time. None of it's good. I mean, none of it is good. So I didn't know what was going to happen. And then the movie's so fucking good. And you're like, I was so proud of Tom and Ray and Bill. And it's like, boy, it's Nick. It's like, thank you for doing what you did. They made a great movie. Let's get to a break. I got a P. You got a P? You know what, I can hold it, but I definitely will go P as well. Two hours and four minutes this movie. You can make it through without P.M. OK. I would say you should too. Before you go in there, let's go ahead. There's no reasons. There's never a-- because what was that? Jordan Palmer created an app that tells you when to P.M. Call it run P, I think, or something like that. Run P. I think I'm sure they could find a time for you to get-- you shouldn't, though. I mean, it is a two hours and four minutes straight through. What a time. You might see this the actual thing here. You might see this pretty important part of the entire. I think you've seen it in a couple of years. Yeah, it's in the trailer. Yeah, it's been sitting there ever since. Are you stabbing? Yeah, you stabbed it with a bayonet, didn't you? Yeah. Football's fucking over, boys. Yeah. OK. It's fucking over. That is basically what that is saying. That's what Peter said. He was, all right, we were going to have you punt the ball naturally and say it's ain't fucking football. But I think you actually chilling the fucking football is probably a better-- I'm like, all right. And he said, and what you're doing here is you're telling these fucking guys. Yeah, the fuck right. The same, nothing like you've experienced before. I'm like, you got it. So this football right here was a part of the first scene that I shot over there. And also I think it's a pretty big moment of the entire kind of movie. The fact that I got to take it out of there is sick. I did. I picked it up at the end of the scene, and I just kind of-- Yeah, take that. And I just started walking. I just started walking. And then I'm getting into the same car as Peter on the way out to go back to the trailer, village, or whatever it is on the other side. And I go, I can keep this. And he goes, would love if she did. And I say, you got it. I'm going to put it on the desk. He goes, oh, that's awesome. Every time I see it, I'll remember this day whatever. I'm like cool. So this is literally been there since then, and I enjoyed that experience. I don't think you're gonna see me doing a lot of acting. I mean, Peter asked me to do something again. I was certainly there you go. But, I mean, Tulsa King, so much fun getting to learn from Sylvester Slant. Very small roles in that. Just kinda trying to learn as much as possible about that particular business. This past off season, trying to learn as much as I could about the music business. Just trying to become a more well-rounded human being, you know, in this entire entertainment space, 'cause I have so much curiosity and interest in all these things, and the fact that I get to work with the fucking best is a blessing that I very much understand. Peter's been very good to me, and I'm very grateful. And I hope the movie does very well, because everybody that works their asses off on our good people. All right, let's take a break on the other side. We got shit to hit. We got stuff to figure out, don't we? - Oh, yeah. - We gotta get to the bottom of it. Are we flexing games or not? - Oh. - Let's go ahead and make a stand for that. - Of course. - Be a friend, telephone, some nice of my change of life. Take, fight! - Fight! (whooshing) - Football! - He's obviously the sport that we're so incredibly lucky to follow, cover, chitchat about, and make a living off of. That man is a college football national champion, Super O'Champion Router Cup winner, AJ Hock. The talk's table's here at Boston Conor, and at Thai Schmidt. One out of the hammer. - Dad! - Cowboys, AP Tonus here. And nine year NFL vet, Darius J. Butler. - Yes, sir. - D-Butch, what did we learn from Peter Berg right there? Did we learn anything from the Peter Berg conversation? Did you get more excited about watching Mosquito Ball? Where do you kind of fall right now at fresh out of that conversation? - Definitely got more excited about watching it. Just more background on his thought process and whole process about making films and making films, obviously, for three decades. And obviously, we've all kind of been a fan of his films in the different eras, but I'm definitely more excited about watching it. - Okay, I appreciate it. I'm happy to hear that. You know, I think he was supposed to do a couple other interviews. - Yeah, I assume that he was not supposed to be out for that. (laughing) - That's usually not how that goes, yeah. - I mean, there's a lot to talk about. - He's got a very long thought for answers. - That's his thought talking to him. - Yeah, that's his call. He can, nah, I'm gonna stick out with these guys. - I've been very fortunate to break bread with Peter on multiple occasions. Dumpy and I have been to his house, worked out in his house. I've been in his cold tub, which he does every single morning. Okay, he does sauna, real hot. And then he gets into the cold tub and sings Silent Night. And once it's over. - He did tell us that you're right on the show. - Yeah, that's real hot. - Rare, rare, I got to do it. I got to do it. Don't skip any words. Okay, you can't skip any words. And don't sing quietly. I need this thing to be actually. And I'm like, what is the deal? He goes, saw the Navy Seals do it. And they're locking arms in the morning. And I just thought to myself, that feels like the right amount of time to be in there. So every morning he's in a sauna that's over 190, 195, maybe 200 degrees or whatever it is. And then he's in cold tub singing Silent Night. And then he stands up and he does 50 calf raises because he learned in Korea I think that the calf is the heart of the legs. - Okay. - So you need to work like this? - So he, yeah, it was, I've got a chance to learn a lot about Peter, he's been very kind to me. And he's a legend. And I do think the movie is, I think it's a good movie. I don't know how our people are gonna feel about us talking to Peter Burke for that long. But I don't know how often he get a chance to chat with somebody that might go down his goat in their world. 'Cause he's only getting started in this auto. - And he loves it. That's what I took from it. The dude is passionate. He's an artist and he absolutely loves what he is doing. Like that's what, when you hear him speak, like that's what I take from like, whatever he, like when someone cares about something that much it makes me want to check it out for you. - Yeah, he's all in. He is all, he lived in Australia for seven, I mean, seven months over there. - Even a full month of rehearsals feels crazy. - Crazy. - Yeah, and that was after he did everything in Okinawa and then 18 months of editing it. Him with the editors in there, you know? Just fully immersed by the movie. So whenever you see a movie, not do well. Now, me, how I view it, it's like, man, the amount of time that people spent on this thing for it not to do well has to be heartbreaking. Which I guess is a part of art. There's a chance that it doesn't get well received. And I think that's why Peter says, like, right now I love it. There's might be something that I don't love it. How's the reaction? There's some kids, I like a little bit more, some movies, I like a little bit more. That's also for how fans, 'cause he's making it for an audience's reaction. So him thinking it's a good one right now, I think to him means a lot. He likes where he's at with it. But it's not until you get the reaction from others that he really is gonna cement how he feels. I think he's very, very proud of the process in which they put together time. - Yeah, I would assume so. And a lot of times, you know, stuff appreciates. That's why you know, stuff will not perform well sometimes in like 10 years later, it gets a cult following and for whatever reason people don't appreciate it at the time. I think it'll be a little bit different with it. That is one of the benefits. It like the box office doesn't really matter for this. I'm sure it'll do well, but like, it's gonna be the number one movie on Netflix when it's on there for, you know, like that's one of the advantages to being on Netflix, but with him, it's very refreshing because now with movies, it's mostly like sequels or, you know, like superhero shit. Like it doesn't really happen very often anymore. We're like someone has an original idea, especially stuff like this, like based on other source material. Like it's a lot harder to get that stuff made now unless you're a guy like him who's kind of doing everything. And it sounds like he realizes too. Like there's a lot of untapped potential in that area. So I hope he keeps making movies like this for it because you know, we get a lot of the same shit now. Like it's just like kind of packaged a little bit differently, maybe with the different stars, but like, there just aren't that many movies like the mosquito bowl that are being made anymore. - I can't wait for the world to see it. I'm very honored to be a part of it now. Let's talk about some NFL news, shall we? Tony, you and I both born Pittsburgh Pennsylvania. - Yes, that's true. - Were you born McGee? - Women's hospital, yes. - Okay, me as well. I don't think McCarthy was the coach McCarthy. He said another-- - Do you want a tub? - No. - Oh, maybe, though. - He might have been in a tub, maybe in a Pittsburgh toilet. Who knows where Mike McCarthy was born? I don't think it was McGee. I think he said another hospital. - I can't remember. - I forget what it was. Mercy, and maybe he was wearing whatever the kids. Whenever you're born in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania, from the day you come into the world. (baby crying) Shout out. - Yeah. - Here's Terrible Tile. Okay, your Pittsburgh Steelers fan. And you hate the Cleveland Browns. And then once you start to understand things, you know, my daughter's three years, five months now, she's starting to really understand everything. At that age, when you're from Pittsburgh, they start telling you, the shit hole of society is Cleveland, Ohio. Okay, that is just what it is. All fall, it celebrated the Browns suck, Cleveland sucks. What a shit hole, okay? I have been on the record as saying, I did not expect Cleveland at like running water after what I had been told my entire life. Here's Coach Mike McCarthy talking about it, as Yinser and now head coach of the Pittsburgh Steelers. - Somebody else, I was shocked the first time I went to Cleveland 'cause it looked like nothing I was told it looked like. You know, it's, they have nice suburbs. They got a good downtown, and, you know, but the impression of, you know, of what you think of the Cleveland Browns and Cleveland as a kid, is different. So yeah, I enjoy it. I remember the great rivalries in the old days, the cardiac kids and, you know, the history of it too. So, that's cool. When I do bring it up, I don't think some of you guys even know what the hell I'm talking about. If I bring up the cardiac kids, but so, and, you know, some of those years. - Oh yeah, old Yinser, obviously. But that is the propaganda in the brainwasher we were given as children in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania. Don't think it's possible now, obviously, with how much access kids have to everything. They probably see pictures of Cleveland as kids. - It's still possible. - The only thing we saw, is it so possible? The only we saw. - I'm sorry, it's probably more possible than ever. - Pittsburgh news, Kani-K, Fedko. You know what Fedko's showing? Cleveland, dumpster fire. - Hey, it takes shot at Cleveland Ohio, dumpster on fire, shitty Browns. All right, let's get out of Cleveland. - Oh, you don't wanna go there, let's go somewhere else. That is literally what I thought. I don't think Mike McCarty's lying right there. I think he's being 100% serious whenever he says, "It's over, it's down town." I got a casino die, I didn't know that. - Real city, yeah, it's like a whole, it's like a place where people actually live. Like yeah, you could tell, I think he's dead serious. - I genuinely felt that way as well. I mean, like I actually felt that way. - Tone still feels that way. Tone's daughter's definitely got to be brainwashed out imagine thinking the same way. - Well, it's crazy because I thought Coach McCarty was a man who would tell you the truth. I have two uncles that live in Cleveland. I've been to Cleveland, it is a shit hole. - Whoa, whoa, whoa, whoa. - The entire place is a shit hole. - No, no, no. - And you talk about the, they do have running water sometimes, but if it runs, it's on fire. Like all their waters on fire, it's a piece of shit place. Yeah, I don't understand. - No, it's not. - And I know big Mike just doesn't want to give Bolton board material, but if you talk to him off air, he would say like, "Yeah, it is a piece of shit place." - No. - No. - That's not what he said at all. - I created you a logo. - Yeah, 'cause he was being recorded and he doesn't want to give them Bolton. What happened? - How did he buy it? - He created you a low out wash of football time. - I created you a fucking logo. - Yeah, true. - That's what it came to. - Well, the football time was all lie, too. - Whoa, whoa, whoa, whoa, whoa, whoa, whoa. - You didn't write it, you just voiced it over and you get it. - Sure, and I do wish that I could have seen what I was voicing over for that, that's a different animal. It was an honor to be a part of that as well. Did some voice over, now the mosquito ball was pretty crazy, but you're right, did not know that the logo came from cleave, and I believe they had a steel mill or something like that, and it got tossed over the pits. - It burnt down. We don't-- - They used up all their good ideas on that logo, have you seen theirs? - Hey, Brownie's a pretty good little elf. - Looks like shit. - Yeah, Brownie's a pretty good little elf. I think Mike McCarthy was just flabbergasted by what he's seen in Cleveland, just like I was, but I like that he potentially now-- - You guys have been media-trained to say this. - Have you gone through the same media training? - No, I have not. - Okay, you're saying we gotta send you to whatever person in life from a person once? - No, no, no, no, no, no, no. You guys went to the NFL, you're part of the NFL, so that's why we didn't have to go through it. You guys were media-trained to say like, "Yeah, Cleveland's actually not that bad." - Okay, yeah, it is probably rookie. 'Cause Brock has bootcamp. I got rejected for that, I wasn't able to go to that. So maybe Mike McCarthy goes to Brock has bootcamp. Rookie's symposium, right? It's one of those meetings. Hey, every city that has an NFL team isn't a shit hole. And they just move on. - Exactly. - Pittsburgh kids here, Cleveland, good town. Keep it moving, moving forward. I like that the rivalry, though, might be coming back with Mike. I think a lot of years or shit, big Mike McCarthy is gonna try to push and promote as much as possible. - Yeah, I agree. He's obviously born and raised around through his veins. And yeah, the rivalry might come back. - Well, they're the number one team in the AFC North, so you'd be looking up at the Browns with Todd Monkin here for a little bit. Aaron Rogers, a lot more open, I think, about who he is, what he is, and what football being a football teammate means to him. He got a chance to chitchat with Cam Hayward a little bit. Dee, but I'm excited to get your take on this about how he interacts with the defense during practices at this stage of his career. - I'm constantly, you know, I think as much as anything this year, there's really talking the defensive guys about. Stuff that I'm seeing, pre-snap. I love the conversation with like Asante, 'cause Asante is really interested in having those. Like, "Hey, why'd you throw this?" Or, "Hey, wait, think here." I think it's really a risker as well. And Jalen and I have always, you know, last year, had a bunch of great conversations, but I think those are really important ones in, and also Peyton and PQ. There are a couple of times some of their drops early in Camprose saying, "Hey, you're dropping way too fast to a spot that we're not even threatening at this point." I said, "Let me just tell you what that does for me when you do this movement, and when you do that, when you land up like this, and when you give away this pressure, and what I'm looking at." So I think that's really invaluable stuff from both. - So what do you think he's saying there? And AJ, after Dee Buck gives his answer, has he always been like this? - Oh, I would assume, I would assume so for sure. I know as a young defender, I would always have coming into league playing with Tom Bertie, I would ask Tom Question, I would ask West Questions, Randy Moss, all these guys just to get their perspective. And then, you know, moving on, as I got a little older, and then Andrew Luck came, and he was always asking me questions. Like, "Hey, why would Reggie get open on this route as opposed to this guy?" Like, "What did he do differently?" What's this coverage, why are you playing it? Just getting a different perspective, really, as a player, because we all know the what. You know, what we have to do? What's your assignment? But like, learning like the why? Like, why are you doing it? Why does it make sense? And then, what does it do to the other side of the ball? Definitely helps, doing it with veterans, doing it with young guys, and look, you're all in. So like, at some point, these guys, if Aaron was in, let's say, year four, sometimes you kind of keep those secrets a little closer, because once you go to another team, you know, you're gonna be telling your whole locker room that, but I'm now that he's on his last, you know, last ride, last dance. I'm sure he's more open about sharing things, and I'm sure, you know, the guys around him, on offense, and definitely on defense, will take it wrong one. We had a conversation when we actually had training camp, that I was just talking about the other defenses that he faced. We were actually talking about Seattle's defense, and he was like, you know, you think about defenses that are like scary, or scary, or scary, or offense is, you think like, defense is talking shit to the offense. He was like, no, the best defenses are like, the ones that are talking shit to each other, in a job, like, you see like, Devin Williams will make a player in the war, and then you see the injury that they have with each other, and that's kind of like the scary part of it. But yeah, I love this from a quarterback, and I'm sure the veteran players on the other side of the ball love it too. - AJ, is he always been like this, or like Debut said, probably a little bit closer to a vest whenever he was younger, just much more comfortable at this stage, and he's seen it all? - No, I mean, I think he was pretty comfortable early on, like, my first two years in Green Bay, he was the scout team quarterback, just carving us up all the time. So, we would definitely go back and forth sometimes, like, you know, he'd say, you guys, he would talk to the quarterback, you guys, you're not gonna play that, right? Like, third and medium, there's no chance you're actually gonna do that. Or he's like, well, not now, I guess, because he exploited us, but yeah, I think it's huge. Like, I love doing that, asking guys, like, when he was talking about them taking their drops and saying, I can visualize that, like, say you're playing whatever, cover two, and you're the two hook droppers, and you just boom, at the snap, you turn, and you get to 10 to 12, and you're spot up, but all of a sudden, it's, it's third and sixth, and there's no reason to get that deep right away, and he just, he makes it easy on him. All those little things are huge, and we actually in Green Bay, later on in my time, that we would, in the off season, we would do like cross training. So, we would meet with, say, the running backs and full backs, and linebackers together, and their coach would come in, and the running back coach would, and we would watch practice wherever we did, and we could talk to them, like, hey, what do you, what do you guys hate when we do a certain thing? Like, what do you guys dislike about us? What do you dislike, and they would tell us, and a lot of times, it wasn't what we thought. Like, we thought certain things would make it hard on them. This is really tough on them, and they'd be like, no, we love when you do that. Actually, you guys are stupid for doing it. So, I think you can gain a lot from talking to guys that are like, usually their job is either block you up, or to figure out how to beat you around. You can learn so much from that. I think it was huge for me, later on as I got older, I think you should be having dialogue all the time. Like, all day in practice, throughout meetings, all that stuff, you can learn a lot. - Yeah, offense and defense are only two different teams. Like, actually, two different platoons. Hey, you go to this field, you go to this field. We'll see you guys at team meeting, and special teams meeting, gonna be guys from both sides. But, coming together seems to make sense. You would hope that everybody would be doing that, and I love that Aaron, at this stage, has literally seen it all, done it all. And I think he really likes being a Pittsburgh stealer. - Oh yeah. - I think that's what I'm realizing every time he speaks about it. - Yeah, and I think we talked about it yesterday too. It looks like he's 35. Like, I know this is his last year. I'm not ruling that completely out yet, just 'cause we've heard it's been his last year before, and he's come back again. But, let alone how big it is just for the guys behind him. You know, it's so cool, just to share secrets. I mean, look at this. The guy literally looks like he's 28, running for a first time. But, let alone, you know, Will Howard, and Drew Aller, who's just sitting, watching, seeing how he operates, and not to go to the other news today. But, I feel like that's why the Quentin Nelson thing is so big, because think about what Quentin Nelson is gonna bring for, you know, grace able that whole line, but then also for their D line. Like, their D line might get better, because Quentin Nelson has been around for so long. You know, Byron Murphy is an upcoming star. And Leonard Williams has been around for a while. Don't get me wrong, but Byron Murphy's kind of a budding detacled superstar, like, what about the stuff in between the trenches that he's gonna be able to share with Dumb, that is screwed with him over the years, 'cause like you mentioned, he has had success from day one in the NFL. He was a top five pick and ran away with it basically, and he's been a stud ever since. Like, the things that he's gonna be able to share with Seattle, I'm not so sure Seattle wins every single game going forward. Now, especially with getting Zach Charbonne back too. They're gonna be unbelievable. - Yeah, getting an actual running backpack is a big deal. They had three running backs formed the other night. They outrush and outgain, and it's a huge part of the story. But everybody's talking about losing Kenneth Walker, losing Kenneth, they also don't have Charbonne, who was the running back that they chose, basically, over Kenneth Walker. - Or Jerry. - The price of the red dress. - Yeah, price out of Notre Dame. He also injured or whatever. So not having a starting running back in that offense, whenever they had two studs last year, had certainly affected the way they go. You did another, he's a monster. - Monster. - Quentin Nelson is a monster. He looks great in that Seattle uniform too, by the way. - He does. - Not real yet, you know, you had to put that together. Man, he looks good. And especially just his style of play too. We'll definitely help out there in offensive line. We watch him after every play, sprinting down, helping the guys up, like all of it. Yeah, it's gonna be, I am sure John Snyder will, has watched from afar and been a huge fan of Quentin Nelson. Now he gets him on his team. - Yeah, you mentioned him running and following the ball. He is normally first person to ball carrier. Wide receiver, running back, quarterback scampering. Other team gets a pick. Whatever it is, he is always running and picking up and helping like first person. I think he's trying to beat the person to wherever they're headed. Very rare you see that from an offense guard, who's normally super miserable, hates running. - Yeah, yeah. - I think there's a couple years where he might have been a little bit banged up, so you didn't see him chasing every single one down the field. But if he's healthy, which we think he is now, you'll normally see him at the ball. Like the Seahawks fans are gonna fucking love this. - Oh, oh, yeah. - Oh my God, they're gonna love him in that building. McDonald's gonna love him in that. - I mean, the defending Super Bowl champions are getting a potential first ballot hall famer, for a third of who's also, it's not like he's like 37, you know. Like they could sign him to another four year deal after this. Who knows if they will, but like this is just, I mean, what a massive gift for Seattle. - And as much as it sucks not to pay Kenneth Walker, like they can make this trade because they didn't pay Kenneth Walker. When you think about Kenneth Walker, it was a four year, $44 million deal. That's 11 a year and Quentin Austin caught nine. So it's one of those things where like, hey, it sucks we didn't get this guy back, but now we're bringing in a hall famed Clark. - Yeah. - It's tough. - It just sucks to be a close friend. - We got it. - And we fucking bone when we put that dirty, we ever put the fucking jersey on them already. Gee, is that me? - Yeah, he was talking to them all. - That was actually him, he did that. - Oh yeah, we got fucking Seahawks, man. - After the game on Sunday Pat had them mocked that up because we wanted Quentin Austin to go there so bad. - You're saying I did that? - Yeah. - I didn't do that. - I didn't do that. I don't like it. - We got him in the coach. - You told Dodds to trade him to your team, man. - You got some grim days, dude. We got some grim, grim days here. - But this also doesn't this kind of help you like, okay, let's fully hit the eject button. - Trade the rest of it. - Like we did it, you know, that he has been, it's not gonna be just wonderful. Yeah, exactly. Now there's no questions about it anymore. Hit the fucking eject button, pull the rip cord and let's trade everybody. We don't have to go out of the games anymore. - We have to talk about the Colton. - Why would you do this? Why would you go out of the game? - It's a good time. It's really only good time I had. - Yeah, we got the TV's on, we got all the games. - But now we can go for the other team. Hey, who's coming to town? Who's coming to town this weekend? Who is our next home game? Is that this week? Do we have home games? - Played it to Cowboys after it. So you got Jaguar and Cowboys. - Oh boy. - That'll be fine. - That one's coming top this week. - No, next, next, next. - You go to Jags and then Cowboys. - There we go. - See, do you do like a sweet trade, you trade for like the Serres. - Can we, they look good. - Yeah, the Bronx, I don't even tell 'em, 'cause that's Marna. - That's Marna, yeah. - Think we need to get down to that game. Think we need to see Tyrese on his out of the back tour. - What's that? - The pace was undefeated. - Yeah, 'cause he's out of the box, all the same. - The Milwaukee Bucks. - They got Tyler Eero's pooping, man. - Yeah, memory eating. - More distractions. - Yeah, no distract completely. Three distractions. - Literally, there was 500 people, there are no distractions at all. - And they lost, the Pacers lost their home opener, too, unfortunately. - Really? - How many games will we play? We already lost two? - I think four, so, so we're two and two. - 500. - You said undefeated. - I'm bad. 500 usually gets you in the playoffs. - I thought for sure, I've only seen good highlights of Tyrese, I thought for sure we'd won every game. - He's been on belief. - Twice. He throws off the backboard to himself for a layup, then he bounces it to himself. - Ooh, we own a network, baby. - Yeah, ESS, that's tomorrow night. - Shout out Adam Silver. - About time. - It's kind of grim after that. - What do you mean, Jake? - Yeah, there's no like, there's no like, there's no flexing. - There it is, NBA TV, M-N-M-T. - Prime. - There we go. - What is next? - There's TJ Teenage Mutant in the total game. - That's what I was about to say. - That's coming in. - In ninja monument. - Oh, no, we got a long stretch here. We're gonna see, oh no, stop. Okay, here we go. - That's 'cause they don't decide which one is next. - Oh, fuck, it's going on here. - He's screaming for you, too? - Name seven of the finals. Had the lead. - Oh, I think they just didn't fill in the one call. - That's not it, that's not it. - Yeah, that's not it, baby. - Yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah. - Oh, screw 'em. - 'Cause the end one day is that week of. - Bruce, enough, enough, we're getting it. There's a lot of games. - Really heats up and more, there. - Yeah, okay, please. - After tomorrow, they're on ESPN April 2nd. So. - Okay, right now. - Yeah. - It's October 28th. - Mike, give it ready for Easter. - Come on Prime Video, couple NBC's. - It'll get flexed. - No, no. - The boys will get flexed into Prime Time. They'll earn. Speaking of flexing, let's keep our eyes out for flexing as we go ahead here in the NFL season. There's some Prime Time windows that people are already pointing to and saying, that's ass, why are we doing that? TV networks, for as long as I've had a brain. And known about this entire process. Have been reluctant to utilize the flex weapon because they don't want to disrespect teams, they don't want to disrespect fans. They don't want to pool from owners that potentially only have one Prime Time game. There's so much that goes into it. So I think they're trying to be courteous to everybody involved because a Prime Time game means a lot for your brand, means a lot for your team, means a lot for the future of the league, introducing new characters into it and who the next superstars are or other superstars. But we would like that to no longer be a negative thing. We would like flexing to be a celebration of the teams that are getting flexed into Prime Time. Congratulations, you have earned your way into Prime Time. Just like Adam Silver said about Tyree's caliber. Hopefully they're able to win and earn their way into Prime Time. I think the flexing always talks about the teams getting their asses kicked out of Prime Time. We need it to be about the teams that are getting promoted into Prime Time. Don't you think AJ, we need a different narrative on this thing for the good of the entire league, the fans and our Prime Time evenings that we're just spending our entire lives with these games, AJ? - Yeah, I guess we need to reframe the conversation of what it means to be flexed, but there's still always going to be like, yeah, we could pump up the teams that get flexed into Prime Time. But then there's always going to be those two fan bases that got flexed out. That may be a little bit louder than the celebration. - Yeah, so what we're saying is we feel bad for the teams that are getting flexed out for sure. But if your team sucks, you don't want to be out there. - You think Eagles fans are pumped about that being on Monday night football last night? I don't think so, but we don't even want to talk about them. There's already enough negativity, we don't either. We need to start utilizing flexing as a compliment as opposed to a downgrade. - Yeah, detriment. - Let's talk about this weekend, shall we? Time to afternoon games. We have, yeah, too early. But let's say if it was, had capability of being flexed, this is this weekend. Now also, I don't think you should be two weeks out. Week seven only going forward with all the rules they do of flexing. Listen, I know people get playing tickets. Okay, let's refund them. We need Delta, American, Southwest, everybody get on board. - If they do now. - With the NFL flexing scheduling and if fans are getting tickets, they need to be refunded entirely. And if they can't make it to the day game, we need them to get their money back. Is that possible? Well, see Keith, I assume it would be, I don't know about everywhere else. So let's live in a fairy tale land where the fans won't get absolutely fucked, okay? Even though that is a big part of the reason why I can't do it. Look at the games we have this weekend. - Nice. - It's never one of them could get flexed. - Exactly. And if you look at it, one o'clock, we got bronze Steelers, both from five and two, bronze ahead of the AFC North, and the first time a rivalry as old a time. Who's on the call? Kevin Harlan, Trent Green. Okay, so that's not the one crew. So we know that's not the one crew. - Not the two crew either. - Yeah, they have a good time too. I got a chance to watch them. They have like a little bit of a podcast field. They get Gene Stairtor in there. They start having a good time. I like the banter. I appreciate the vibe in which they set for a game. But CBS not necessarily saying, "Hey, this is 100% our game." So could you imagine if the Cleveland bronze Pittsburgh Steelers were playing Sunday night football right now with the Southern level of B. Once again, impossible. Can't happen 'cause I haven't been able to flex 'cause we're too close to the game and everything like that. But we're just saying if this decision was made a couple of weeks ago and was able to happen, we could have bronze Steel, huge fan base, obviously with the Pittsburgh Steelers, huge implications early. And a massive storyline that could be celebrated all day and week, heading into Sunday night football, we would like these things to be considered. Flexing would be a compliment to the bronze and Steelers. As opposed to saying that the Eagles and Commanders, we don't want to fucking have our eyes on you, okay? Which we certainly don't. But we need to talk about bronze Steelers earning that into Sunday night football and having the capability to showcase for the entire NFL on Sunday night. - And if you're a fan of the Eagles and the Commanders, if you get flexed out of prime time, what's that do? That puts pressure on ownership in front office. Like, hey, we're not even good enough to be in prime time. So not only as a fan, do you not want to watch them in prime time set. Everyone can see how poopier team is. And also kind of gives you, hey, see, we need to make changes. We need to go make our team better because they're already flexing us out of prime time. That's awful. Steelers and Browns also, they performed on prime time already this year and it was an unbelievable game 27-24. Like they should have earned another prime time spot. - Well, Mar Jackson, maybe back with Josh Allen. - Okay. - That's one o'clock with Iron Eagle and Ross Tucker. That's not the number one. - No, that's Flex City. - No. - Imagine that, what? - No. - Yeah, that's the number two. Exactly. The number two team could be flex. We're all bummed out that it was not flexed. Once again, compliment. They earned their way into Sunday night football as opposed to Eagles Commanders. And then how about Kevin Berkhardt and Tom Brady? They're on Vikings lines. That one's not gonna move. One o'clock, we got a one o'clock Tom Brady. And then Jim Nansen, J.J. are on the chiefs and the Broncos, that one's not gonna move. Okay, so CBS and Fox have already made their decision on what their game's on. They've already put into place what it is. I assume they do that a couple of weeks out in ahead of time on what it's gonna be. So we have multiple games that are available that are sitting at one o'clock and massive windows that could get flexed into meaningful time. But I think we've always had such a negative connotation on that network, so you get scared of it. We would like to view it as a celebration of the teams that get flexed in their time. - Yeah, and I think they should also just have a clause where it's like, hey, if you don't have a starting quarterback playing, we'll flex you out because it's not a true indication of what your team is, you know, the point, personally, we just watch it. I don't wanna fucking watch Tanner McKee again on Sunday night football. I just don't wanna do it, and he wasn't terrible, but I just like, that game stinks. Okay, we got Lamar. - Stay cool, it's not gonna be playing. - Exactly, so it's like, if your team is super banged up, we'll flex you out, okay, because we don't need the entire nation come into that conclusion the following day when that's not your football team. - Yeah, you're kind of catfishing. - Exactly. - Yeah, we don't wanna catfish people when they're thinking, this is what your brand is. For the good of you, for the good of the league, congratulations, these two other teams that are certainly worthy of a showcase. - Exactly, that's the way we needed to be talked about. - I think so. - And how did Bill's Ravens just begin with, by the way, before the season in July? How's Bill's Ravens decided, hey, this isn't gonna be a prime time game. Remember last year, last year was it not 41 to 30 or whatever, and the Bill's had a massive 17-point comeback in the fourth quarter, like even the schedule mate, now I'm just getting pissed at the schedule makers, let alone the flexi. How the fuck do we put that game at that time slot when we know what that game's gonna be before the season starts? - Maybe because they gave the Bill's, the following Monday night football, but no, that wouldn't because that's exactly what the Eagles are in, so. - Yeah, yeah, I don't know. - And the Falcons had three straight weeks of front time football. - Hold on, Trafloreo had a conspiracy on this, right? I didn't read into it. But I did see you gaining some traction. What did Floreo say? - Basically, teams having three weeks of real prime time games is kind of setting up in the future for midweek games 'cause teams now will be, 'cause you can only play so many games within certain amount of days. So this is sets up for, like, you could play a Thursday game and then a Wednesday game and then a Thursday game, 'cause that would be spaced out, not four days apart, they would be six or seven days apart. So yeah, Floreo was spot on kind of with the situation. It was all based on rest. - He was saying that was why people are doing three prime time games this year? - Yeah. - To get ready for the NFL to potentially have games on Tuesday nights and, like, Wednesday nights as well. - I don't think I understand. I would have to read it. - They're conditioning us to a run of prime time games with a single team. So we did it with the Falcons, I believe, the Bears and now the Eagles, where they're getting three straight [BLANK_AUDIO] time time games with one team, so we're used to it for when they, you know, roll on these Tuesday and Wednesday. Because it has to be the same team because you can't play on a Sunday and then a Wednesday. This would be like, oh, you played on a Thursday, then you could play on a Wednesday and then you could play on a whatever weekday next week again. Okay. So we're getting desensitized right now by the schedule makers for a future schedule. Yeah. And if I'll sigh off, man. Dude, Florio knows. My chest, man. Hey, I, if anybody's going to figure that out, it would be Mike Florio. So I appreciate him thinking like that because I can never do it. I understand percentages and stuff, but I don't think I can puse that one together. But I guess he's right, man. He did it. I don't think we're ready. I'm ready. I'm already programmed. I don't, I've been watching. Yeah. That's a matter of who it is. Tuesday night NFL football. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Pull me in. Yeah. No, I don't know. We got the World Series tonight. We will enjoy the hell out of that. Sure. Great sports this evening. NHL and NBA. We got everything happening tonight. But on Thursday, which is two days from now, right? We got a banger. Yep. Rebecca Lobos happy. It's a couple days. Nice. I would assume. This is what you're talking about, Car. I was thinking Panthers Packers. But this was the second thing I was thinking about on Thursday. There's two big things. It's finals, right? That's what I said. We're going to win. Others. I'll tell you what. The Valkyries are a problem. And if Angel doesn't get back to what she was doing at the beginning of this series, they're going to be in trouble too. She is. She's traded to Atlanta. They make it to the finals. Mm-hmm. There needs to be a lot more respect. And there's a bunch of people pouring clips of me talking about Angel Reese and what she had done for the WNBA versus what Caitlin Clark had done from the WNBA a couple of years ago. Everything I said in that video is 100% true. Okay. So I would just like to let that be known. Yes. What you are. I concur that Caitlin Clark was the reason why the WNBA at that time had a massive spike in interest from people that had never watched the WNBA before and took it to places that it had never been. Now, so I think the rest of the stars that the WNBA have helped maintain that. And maybe Angel Reese has come into her own as a leader of this dream team and led her team to the finals. Yes. All those things can be true at the same time. Now, people are not going to believe this. But when I heard this game was a 1230 during our show, first natural thought is we should sign with cast this thing. Okay. Sure. It's an NBC thing. It's on USA, E and sci-fi just because I thought, you know, like it's during our time we can do it. I don't think we're going to be able to do an outcast for it all. And everybody also told me that would have been a terrible idea. That would have probably not been smart. We don't know nearly enough about either of these teams or the WNBA to put ourselves in there. But just know my natural reaction was like, if we can drive a little, this is the finals. This is a championship. Yeah. There's a chance a team that's brand new into professional sports. It's about to win a title at 1230 in the afternoon with the game starting. So I would like to let everybody know that my first thought was, how can we talk about this especially if we're going to be on at the same exact time. And then everybody told me bad idea for us to do that. I appreciate that. I took it in a consideration. And it's also not on our networks. So I have no chance to be able to do it anyways. But we will keep everybody updated on Thursday with what's going on. Oh, we get a banger. Pivot to a lot of dreams, the dream, their favorite by four and a half points. Kier Stokes kind of changed this year. You talk about Angel Reese struggling. Kier Stokes with a Valkyries has been a defensive fucking mastermind. She's got a finals record for blocks already had three blocks last game. She's been dominant out there. You got Gabby Williams up there. You kind of legend number one. You got Burton. You got Angel Reese. Tip Hayes also affects. I'm excited about this game six. Now the celebration, the post game celebration. That's going to be interesting. It might not have enough time. 20 minutes. Yeah. Is that a local Chuck E. Cheese, I think? No. Well, at least it's not the home. Like when this was announced, it was, I was like, oh, Lannick. This could be it. Lance. Whole selfish. That's not an option anymore. So, I could probably use the auxiliary gym for that. That's what they said. They said we don't have enough time. And it's like 20 minutes with an extra 20 minutes after a month. Got to go. What? Got to go. That's literally what they said. Got to go. Free ski ball for everyone. It's not Chuck E. Cheese's David Buster D.N.B. Oh, sorry. That makes more sense. They said the practice gym. They didn't say either of those things. They said they could go. David Buster's has cool shit. Yeah, it does. Yeah. Chuck E. Cheese, sweet shit. Yeah. Got a practice gym. We got a clock on the wall. That's basically, I just, I don't know if I said I can't get 20 minutes to celebrate this thing. You just want a fucking world title. I don't know. No. Once again, everybody's told me multiple times. Don't talk about it. You don't know enough about it. This is a bad idea, but I would like it to be known. A fucking title is about to be won in professional sports. Yeah. And the way it's being talked about, I don't like the way it's being talked about. This is a big deal. People've worked their asses off to get to this point. This is a league that's getting paid billions of dollars. I mean, how does Angles though not have this figured out? It's our name. I should have got ahead of this for sure. I don't know. No wonder why she's done. Yeah, they booted it, right? She's having her foot surgically removed from her mouth right now for the 400th time this season. I think that's why. That's the issue because you would think communication would be a way to figure this out ahead of time. So that's kind of the whole thing. And I think that's the reaction you see from my people even within the WMBA conversations. It's like, this is embarrassing. This is not how this should go for a professional. No. And we would like to let everybody know. We will certainly highlight it on Thursday as it's live, doling our show, even though we can't go doing all cast. And everybody has said probably shouldn't be doing an all cast. That's right. Yeah. I was there. She was incredibly kind. It was great to chat with her. She was out in Los Angeles. I think we could potentially send a request for her to be on this program, and I think she would come on. That hotel we were at was like a W hotspot. Wasn't page buckets there as well. I think I saw another WMBA player with the hells going on. Beautiful place. A good question. True. Beautiful. I saw somebody else out there too. Who's that? Tell you off here. You can't wait. What do you mean? Why? You want to go on the hotel? That's an NFL guy. Actually, you'd be interested as well. I'm pretty interested. I think we're all kind of interested now. What's it rhyme with? Spill the beans. Go ahead deep. I told you. Who? Tell you off here. I don't know if it's been reported that he was in that city at that time. Oh. He just came away. I don't know. I'm not. I don't know what it is. - No, we're about to do that. - Not the daily, you don't wanna be a daily insider. No, just the big stories, I don't say it. Okay, I do remember that. - Glazer was there? - No, he's being Jay Glazer right now deciding not to do it. - That would have been unbelievable. - Jay Glazer might have been there. Dumpy saw a guy in Jim in Philadelphia 7 a.m. that we could have never guessed to be in the same hotel that we were in. Who'd you see in there, Gumps? - Former Prime Minister Boris Johnson. - Really? - He was getting after it. He was hair is the shoveled to talk to him. - I was dying, la, I mean, you got to get an eye on this guy. - He was yet to speak in engagement last night in Philadelphia, so he was getting after him. - Gumpy guy, no photo, no video, no nothing. I caught up with Gumpy afterwards and he was never gonna believe who I saw this. And I go, who? And he goes, "Borse Johnson." And I like, stop. I'm like, the fucking foreign political guy, he goes, "Oh, yeah." - What? to it is I guess what he said he was doing one of these and then he was doing this back and forth down in there just I think him and company were the only people that were in that just got me in Bors Johnson and I was quite a way to start a day I walked in and saw I was like there's no way that's Bors Johnson and then I laughed after work and I was like I should Google Bors Johnson Phil Delphin and they came scooting right on the hotel door or it's been pretty crazy it's been pretty crazy, I will say. And then Thursday night, huge one to kick off week eight of the NFL season. So we got a great week of sports here. Panthers, Packers will be showcased and, you know, not too long ago, the Panthers and the Packers played each other and something was born, something was born out of that. Rico Doudo went crazy and the Panthers beat the Packers. Entai Schmidt comes on this show and says a lot of people were going to be saying that All hell is about to break loose here in Green Bay. Carolina Panthers, that's a good football team. That is where it was born, of us saying people need to give them a little bit more respect. They would go on to host a playoff game inevitably at the end of the last season, now trying to continue to build on that Bryce Young stud. Carolina Panthers, we have a lot of faith in. And then Green Bay Packers, who are you? How are you? Can you make a kick? Can you not? And can you get a stop? I think there's a lot of question marks for both of these teams. And that has a lot of big implications, Tashman. Yeah, it does kind of weird because I don't love the fact that the Panthers just got absolutely fucking embarrassed by the Bucks. But the Packers, I think, are gonna be, you know, they got something to prove. But yeah, I mean, ultimately, you know, is the kicker gonna be able to make kicks? That's kind of the only thing that my mind goes to. So I'm a little nervous for it, you know, I'll be honest. But should be a good game. Universal. Oh, boy. Four. Trace Mac. If I make this trace mac is never going to miss high disavow. This doesn't count. I mean it's the same percentage is probably your throws and his kicks. How's that work? Guys miss seven are it's crazy. Yeah, well everybody wants to just say just be patient with the guy just be patient. I just let him keep going out there. You know, he's a rookie. He's made a 60 plus sharp field goal this year. He didn't send it to a sports psychologist and say it is a fucking high school football. Okay, you got can't make his fucking kicks if he if he misses one on Thursday night. You fucking cut his ass and bring that fat son of a bitch from L.A. Harrison Meaver. Yes. Wiley Patterson has released him. I don't know why we released him. He's actually trying to win football games here. He's trying to win at the vision. He wreaks of green back trying to win and get into the playoff. She's heard me. Can I tell you why he would be good for green because he's fat. So he won't get home. No, he's thick. But yes, I would say a little bit more insulated. Yes. He also, when he's kicking good, which we assume after getting fired, he goes and figures it out somehow. Tinkers with some things. We hope. Unless he just completely just kind of put everything aside. How you doing things, how you do everything and it has not worked. But I'm going to assume he has worked. When he hits a ball, it's pure. So in green Bay, super windy. I think you need a pure ball striker in green Bay, because if there's any, so when it's end over ends, clean, pure, normally cut through. If there's any x to it, just a little bit off kilter, lot more space for a ball for the wind to kind of fuck it up. So he's a pure ball striker. Whenever he's kicking good, that thing's going perfectly end over end. I think that's what you need in the super windy place. I don't know what in the HD guy is going to make his fucking kicks, particularly when inside 35 yards. I think we've been pretty good at predicting who's going to kick where. So I think you bring it up me versus the green Bay. I think that's not a bad prediction. I think he could be good for you guys. Now, I hope Trace Mack goes out there and doesn't miss another one all year, but we're going to find out that we're in week 70s, miss seven already. Just a ball of the AP Trace Mack is the first kicker to miss two field goals from 35 yards or less in the same game since Mike Nugent, he did it for the matri in 27, 13 win versus Browns. He is first to do in a game. His team lost by three points of viewers and Sean Sweezham did it for the Steelers. Wow. It's 118 loss to the writer. So not normal Mike Nugent, one of the greatest kickers of all time. Sweezham did great for the Pittsburgh Steelers. I think he also created a tee guys going to have bad days. Hopefully smacks able to move on to find out right now. There we go. Good luck to you and your team. I thank you. And you AJ. It feels like you kind of want this one to follow as well. Yeah. I think this is going in. All right. Hello, boys. Oh. Oh, great line. This is sport. We have multiple 10 for seven. Yeah. Yeah. Release. Yeah. Seven attempts. You're not going to need them all. Ty, how has the universe ball been doing? Do we know? No, not good at all. Hasn't really been falling. No, it hasn't. But we've had a lot of injuries. Yeah. So it's almost been telling truth. Yeah, true. True. This is for Trace Mack. Okay. Never going to miss again. Oh, yeah. Oh, see, that's not meant to be. It's not meant to be five more than I did. A couple of double doings coming. I don't know. Oh, it's not meant to be. Like that one goes down if the universe is saying, yeah, Trace Max is going to be the guy. Do Mevis. Mevis could talk. Now we're talking. Should have threw a bigger ball right on line. Yeah. Yeah. Oh, geez, so rude. I mean, that's kind of over it though. Who's this for? This for me. This again. Is it a thin ball? Okay. Well, maybe Trace Mack. It's for Trace Mack. Okay. All right. Let's go, buddy. Oh, fuck. All right. I don't like it. I like guys making kids. He's doing Justin Tucker. Oh, he worked out for somebody. Miami. Yes, he did. Did not get the gig. Yeah. He hit a 65. And a 60-yarder, but Zayn Gonzalez got it. So people are reporting what's happening in Kicker Trials. Yeah. Oh, yeah. I've never heard that before. Who report is who reports that the team? That would have to be the team Dolphins media person. So Dolphins media person was watching the workout, which is normally held kind of in a private area. Okay. Kickers working out in the back. There isn't like media around. And then Dolphins media person sees the workout, sees that they sound somebody else and then says, Justin Tucker to those fucking guys. Still doing it. Still got it. Did he or she give out stats for both kickers or this Aaron Wilson guy, this guy's Texans, I believe. So it wasn't Dolphins guy. Work out one. Uh, excellently today for five time all pro Ravens K. I want to, you know, wear this. Yeah, this from Tucker's can. Hitting field goes from 68 yards along with 65 yards, 260 orders, 255 yards, 11 for 12 made all of his 50 plus kicks. Team wound up signing Zayn Gonzalez. He was drafted by Browns when Specialteams coach Chris Taber was in Cleveland. Is he now your, uh, Specialteams coordinated on there? Yeah. I'm defeated with Zayn Gonzalez at the wheel too. Maybe they thought, maybe they thought like Tucker's going to make too many kicks and we may lose another one overall pick. Now, but I do like that somebody from Tucker's team was like, can we fucking, you worked out? He didn't make it. People are going to think he's the bad. He hasn't be great in Green Bay. Once again, there's another. That's going to happen. Why? So all the stuff Josh Jacobs, well, they had brought him back. Yeah, I know, but that's what I'm saying. I don't know if you're going to double down and I don't know if you want to be known as kind of the team or I don't think they're going to do it.
