PMS 2.0 1646 - TNF Preview/Picks, Steve Young, Mark DeRosa, Ian Rapoport, Kirk Herbstreit, Coach Chuck Pagano, & AJ Hawk

The DraftKings Thunderdome kicks off NFL Week 6 with a high-stakes matchup between the Seattle Seahawks and Denver Broncos, where the Seahawks are favored despite Denver's home-field altitude advantage. Seattle's road dominance, led by head coach McDonald, is balanced by their recent offensive struggles and turnovers, while Denver’s inconsistent offense under Bo Nix raises concerns about their ability to perform in close games. The game is expected to be a tight, physical contest, with a key betting focus on short-yardage runs by Bo Nix and Josh Jacobs, which could trigger a "Superboost" if executed successfully. Meanwhile, the show highlights a major MLB playoff adjustment—moving the Guardians vs. Rays game from 6 p.m. to 1 p.m. due to weather, a move praised for its practicality and respect for player safety. The discussion also reflects on competitive balance in baseball, as lower-payroll but highly successful teams like the Brewers and Guardians enter the postseason, prompting debate over whether a salary cap floor is needed. Steve Young is announced as a celebrity guest picker for a college football game between BYU and Notre Dame, underscoring BYU’s rising national profile and strong team culture. The segment also touches on modern athlete preparation, including biomechanical analysis and laser tracking used by quarterbacks like Josh Allen, showing how technology enhances performance. The program concludes by emphasizing responsible sports gambling and the importance of team unity, especially in high-pressure moments.

Hello, beautiful people, and welcome to our humble abode, the DraftKings Thunderdome. On this NFL Week 6 kickoff Thursday, October 15, 2026, this program begins now. Football is for everyone, isn't it? Yeah, it is. Sports, the great unifier, are for everyone. And tonight we kick off Week 6 of the NFL season in a huge way as the reigning, defending, undisputed Super Bowl champions fly to a banged-up Denver Broncos team. Bo Nix versus Sam Darnold. Seahawks favored by 2.5 on the road. Now you think to yourself, Denver is an incredible home field advantage. It is. 5,280 feet above sea level. That is a mile high, brother. The air is a little bit thinner. People get into beds that are at a mile-high altitude-type air so they can recover quicker. And also, whenever you train there and you're not from there, you can get tired, you can get gassed out. There's also some people who have some things wrong with their bodies. They can't even go there because of the altitude. Whatever the case, Denver and their fan base and their altitude is a phenomenal home field advantage. Seattle Seahawks coming to town? Dubs. Favored by 2.5. Why is that? McDonald, their head coach, has been flawless on the road. You would think with where Seattle is. Well, one flaw. Road favorites, he's like 11-1 or something like that. 16-3 against a spread on the road since 2024. The best record in a three-season. Since the 2006-2008 Patriots, they're unbelievable on the road against spread. And McDonald, as a favorite on the road, I think is like 11-1 or something like that. So, McDonald and Seattle have been able to figure out how to travel. You would think with where they are, though, they would just have to be accustomed to traveling a long way. You would think that would wear them down. McDonald's been able to figure it out. They go to Pittsburgh last year, smack them in the mouth. They go to Baltimore, how you doing? They are a road dog team. And now they're the road favorites against the Denver Broncos who made it all the way to the AFC Championship. last year and are still trying to figure things out with Sean Payton, Bo Nix, and what the hell's wrong with the offense. A couple banged-up players on the defense. Is Seattle sitting prime to have a fantastic prime Thursday night? We shall see. Kurt Kerbshoot will join us in the next hour. We'll also be joined by, I believe, a representative from MLB in baseball. Okay. Because at 1 o'clock, we have a huge one, raise at Guardians. According to sources, which I believe is journalism, from MLB, they moved the game from 6 o'clock to 1 o'clock in Cleveland because of weather. Both teams agreed to it. They said it wasn't that big of a deal. And I appreciate the fact that in a postseason series, in the biggest of games, MLB is able to adjust because of a forecast and saying we should probably get ahead of this as opposed to letting this affect us for the next couple of days. Massive move to go from 6 to 1. We'll be talking to somebody from the baseball world to talk about not only this game, but what's going on with the Dodgers. Brewers absolutely. We'll be cooking them. Another one last night. Brewers up 3-0 in a best-of-seven series. One more win, and that'll be potentially Miz, the World Series champ, just four wins away. Five wins away from the Brewers being World Series champions and the Miz being a champ. Hockey had another spectacular night. The NBA continues to cook in its preseason. There's storylines developing there. And then there's a lot of things being said about the sports business world, sports media world right now. I would just like to go on the record here very early in this particular program and say it. I've already tweeted it out that it's not real, and there's been zero conversations about it. And a lot of people have said it, but there's Monday Night Football contract business happening in a very public way. And we are big fans of Joe and Troy and of the Monday Night Football operation. That's for them to figure out. But in an effort to continue to pour gas on a fire of people that hate my guts and tell them, just wait, there's more, just wait, there's more. There's now been these efforts to say that I am trying to get into the Monday Night Football booth as a color commentator, or that ESPN is trying to put me into the Monday Night Football booth as a color commentator. First of all, incredibly honored that I am at a position of life where people think that there's a chance I'm going to be in the booth for Monday Night Football. That is crazy. Monday Night Countdown being a part of that has been a dream come true. I am not supposed to be a color commentator for football. That is something I've decided. I had a chance to try it a couple times. I hated it. I got bored. For the field pass, I do play-by-play. I am not a good enough play-by-play person to be doing any of these big-time games, but I am pretty perfect for an alt-cast. We have been very, very happy and content with where I'm at. My brain and the way I operate is not good to be a color commentator for a football game in which there's a lot of this happening and then a couple of these. You drop me into wrestling, though, as a color commentator with Michael Cole, the greatest in the business, I'm having the time of my life. I'm not supposed to be in a football booth, especially in a traditional color commentator. That decision has been made years ago. So everybody's saying, well, until we hear it and if we see it, it's like there's never been a conversation about that, ever, with anybody. So I understand that. ESPN understands that. And the people that are trying to just throw me into more wars with people and say, I hate this guy, this guy. Somebody's wishing for me to get kidney stunts. Did you see that today? That was a new one. That's not. That's a low blow. That would stink. They hurt so bad. Terrible. I don't like that at all. No. Wishing for kidney. I didn't know that. That is too much. Yeah, that's a bit too. Death. OK. Sure. That's simple. That's just kind of you throw that out there. That's easy. We know you're doing that. Now, a little scary, but just, you know, whatever. Kidney stones, though, that's real pain. Yeah. And that's probably someone who's had them. So they know exactly what it's like. I'm not going to any football booth as a color commentator. I'll be on the sideline field pass doing play by play, which is my own style with our people doing our thing on ESPN, too, starting Monday night for the San Francisco 49ers hosting the Washington Commanders. So just please, I would just like I would like if that would stop because that is disrespectful to Monday Night Football's booth. I think, you know, like you have to earn your way into these things. You have to be great at these things. Troy has certainly been that. Maybe a deal still gets worked out with between them. Who knows? The talks of tables here at Boston Connor and at Ty Schmidt. One half of the hammer. Dad. Cowboys AP tone is here. You look fantastic. Thank you. You too. Seattle Seahawks favorite on the road. Yeah, we'll get into that a little bit more later. Also, we have a super boost that we're looking to hit upon. It feels pretty OK. Nothing's a definite, though, in that world. A man who was our coach 37 years as a football coach has a sweet flannel on. Yeah. Oh, yeah. A sweet flannel on. Ladies and gentlemen, Coach Chuck Pagone. I like what you did here. You kind of blend in with the sign a little bit. It is fall. You're kind of uplifting. I like what you're doing here, coach. I appreciate it. It is fall. Tina's wearing all her browns. This, that, and the other. So, maybe you pull one of those fall-looking things out. One of those flannels. Oh, you guys are matching like it's homecoming. You know, I like that every single day. We got a lot of time on our hands. Yeah, you and Miss Tina are certainly around each other a lot more now than whenever you were a football coach. We appreciate your service to the ball, and we will dive into you maybe getting a Thursday night football pick right now at another moment. I doubt it. It is time to announce who the celebrity guest picker will be this Saturday in Pro Vo, Utah for Notre Dame traveling out to take on the BYU Cougars. There's a lot of legendary BYU connections out there. There's been a lot of names thrown. There's been some interesting names thrown that I didn't even know were a part of a BYU community. I've gotten some texts from some people that I know from the BYU community saying, hey, gotta be. I have a couple people on X saying, hey, it's not me. If you're wondering, shout out to Kyle Van Noy, he's in the middle of football season. Ladies and gentlemen, the man who will be representing BYU. This weekend as a celebrity guest picker for college game day is a man who is a three-time Super Bowl champion, two-time NFL MVP, Hall of Famer, stallion, incredible businessman. Ladies and gentlemen, Steve Young. Hey, Pat. Yes. Hey, so you got me in the middle of our HGGC offsite here in Palmsville. You got me in the middle of the spring, so you're, you're, you got to, you got to. Hey, team. Yeah. Okay. Okay, Steve. First of all. I got my own posse. All right. Thank you for doing this while in the middle of something very important, clearly. I appreciate that. We'll dive into your HGGC offsite here in a matter of moments and see if we can all learn from you. But being the guest picker this weekend at BYU, first time in 17 years that college game day has gone to Provo. What are you expecting from Matt? Maybe the school, the university, and how pumped were you whenever you made the decision to do this and found time in your, I don't even know if you found time. Are you going to be handling a business meeting while you're making the picks? Like, no, this is, look, you wanted this at 905 Pacific. This is where I'm at. This is what we're rolling with a Saturday morning. No, I'll be, uh, you know, I won't be as complicated. No, you're not complicated at all. I love that you're busy and I love that you're still leading. Can you tell me a little bit about what we should expect and what you expect from BYU this weekend as they're on four? Well, you know, Pat, in many ways, BYU has been, this has been coming for a while, right? Um, I think that we answered the bell when we joined the big 12, we've been wanting to get into the mix with a big four for a long time. And we've been kind of punching above our weight, trying to do all the things that the great Austin Colley and others that have trod that I know you love him. Uh, and I think BYU has been always been around, but now joining the big 12, we're like, we want to be in the thick of it. And I think just from everyone involved with BYU and the community. is like they want to they want to to be competitive. They want to be in the mix. They want to be, you know, we want to be a national champion. And so I think that you're going to see this weekend when you come out, a school that has grown into some shoes that I think they're ready to take Notre Dame on. They're ready to do this. And you're going to see that the school is ready as well. And I think it's the whole NIL thing and all the chaos about it. I think we've answered it in its own BYU way that we can stay competitive, keep people in a frictionless system. So in many ways, you know, it's kind of like a, this is a coming out, a 20 year coming out party that's going to happen this weekend. I'm excited for the world to get a chance to see it. Not only Austin Colley, but we're friends with Kyle Vannoy. Ryan Smith is a friend of the program. There's a lot of different Mormons that I've encountered who I have a lot of respect for. And I think the BYU community, to your point, has been very, very pumped about how good their football has been for a long time. Long time. A lot of great football. And a lot of contributions coming from BYU and from the Mormon religion as a whole. Now, let's talk about you keeping Kalani Sataki this offseason. There was a lot of chatter about him potentially heading to Penn State, him going other places. Hey, you can get to one of these schools that has 60 million, 70 million. It's all ball. It's all this. It's all the time. And I believe you were one of the most outspoken people saying, yeah, right. He's not going anywhere. Can you tell me a little bit about Coach Sataki and what he brings to your school and why you all love him so much? Well, he's one of one. If you know him, he's completely authentic. He's endearing. He's vulnerable. He'll take accountability. He's really a chance for BYU to retain in the frictionless system I was talking about. He's built something that people are willing to stay for. And I think that's a big part of what will be our success in the future. And I think Kalani looked around. Kalani had to offer, you know, at Penn State, we know all over the country, he's the kind of guy that people are going to look at his, just look at Kalani. Watch his, watch how he comes on the field. Watch how he engages with the alumni. Watch how he coaches, how people love him. People that like leave and come back and say, what do you think about Kalani? I love Kalani Sataki. People, you think about it, Pat, when you played with Coach Pagano, it's like, who do you want to play for? Who do you want to, who do you want to be around? Who, who inspires you? You got to go ram into people. Football's, football's a crazy sport. You got to go ram, well, not punters, but you have to ram. But you're right. Yes. A hundred percent. Right. Everything you just said was very accurate. My best friend is Lee Johnson. You know, you know, there's another, legend. Most, he lost more games in the NFL in history. He suited up for most losing games in history. Played for the Oilers, the Bengals. But he was a great punter. A great punter. But not good enough, because it turns out if you pin them deep and then they just get back on the first play, there's nothing you can do. I think what you just said about Kalani Sataki is beautiful. And then you mentioning Coach Pagano is so fantastic because I think he remembers playing against you. Isn't that right, Coach? Yeah, I think you remember it too, Steve. Back in 1982, I was number five out there playing. Left corner. Yeah, corner, because we were going to jam and reroute. You guys beat us by 10 that day. I got no action over there. You obviously had a scouting report and they put the game wreckers up. And I was one of those, right? Pagano. Yeah. Deion Sanders and Pagano, the two people I've played with my whole career. All right, Steve. Hey, the kids are already lined up at the school. This is for game day. This started last night. There's been a line, obviously, Saturday morning. Morning is when that happens. So it started on Tuesday. A couple of people yesterday got into it. This is from this morning at BYU for college game day. And obviously they're innovative. They got grills up in the front. Serving everybody. The boys are leading from the front. Speaking of leading from the front, what is the messaging that you're doing here at this offsite? Is this a team building? Are you going to do a trust fall with these folks? What are you doing? That's exactly right. It's a team building. The theme is we're summiting, right? We got base camp. This is everyone's a base camp. And now we're going to summit Everest like that. That's the idea. Look, we're pretty successful, Pat. We've done really well. But it's like we can be better. You know, it's like anything. It's like you're good, but we want to be great. So that's the idea. Hey, the enemy of good is great. That's right. The enemy of great, I guess, is good. Yeah, it was backwards. Square rectangle. Nonetheless, you're the man, ladies and gentlemen. I'll see you on Saturday. Steve Young. Yes, Steve. Square rectangle situation there. Yeah. God, it was all in there. They're at base camp right there. Yeah. Off-site. That's super corporate. Oh, yeah. Had the jacket. That's the thing about Steve. Whenever he was doing media, and I probably assume whenever he was playing as well, up there in San Francisco, there's a lot of stuff cooking and brewing. There's a lot of money. There's a lot of developing. There's a lot of everything happening. I think Steve made a lot of good decisions, and I think he's a super genius, I believe, in certain facets. Leadership, I think. Financial, he's very, very well informed in. He's done very well for himself. He left ESPN as we were joining ESPN, so I thought there was a chance that Steve was going to hate us. Then I run into Steve. That's not the case at all. The more I learn about Steve, I'm like, this guy is the model here. Not going to just be defined by one particular thing. He's not just a quarterback. He's not just a media person. He's not just a businessman. He's not just a developer. He's not just a leader. He has the ability to do so many things. Him and Montana obviously have what they have, and we are Joe Montana friends as well. As you meet these people that have created so much history and been a part of so many things that have gotten the league and the world that we're at to where it is today, and then you learn more about them, it's like, man, such an interesting character is Steve Young. I think he's going to do great this weekend on game day, if I had to guess. Yeah, I assume it's going to be just like getting back on the bike. He did it for so long that obviously not the same thing where you've got a huge group of people behind you. A lot of people remember that he was on the Monday Night Countdown desk for how long. I assume if he really wanted to for all these different openings, the way things are shuffling around right now, he could probably pop back in there and do that. But like you said, he's so successful that I think that's where his passion lies right now. That is really cool that he's not just some jaded guy who football world doesn't want me anymore. Piss on them. He's clearly got a lot going on and a lot of stuff that he's involved in. 18, 80, what? What were the teams? 82. Did he know what team you're on right there? You just assumed. I'm sure not. What team was he on? What team were you on? He was at BYU. I was at Wyoming. BYU played Wyoming? We were in the WAC. Okay. Same conference back in the day. I did not know that was the case. It was awesome. We were in Provo. The year before, Jim McMahon was the quarterback and we beat him. We never beat BYU because we're 18, 19, 20-year-olds and we're playing these dudes that are like 25, 26, 27, got full beards, full families, all kinds of stuff. Yeah, so they go in, red shirt, go on a mission, come back, and they're like, yeah, grown men. No excuses, but yeah, we beat McMahon in Laramie the year before and then went out there and Steve lit us up. We played a pretty good 23-13 game, I think it was. Chuck Pagano, can you go back down there, please? Chuck Pagano had two tackles, two solo tackles, two assists, four total tackles in that particular game. That may be Chuck Pagano. Not a bad game there. And they didn't throw towards you, huh? No. Yeah, Steve knew. There's no reason to even mess with that little attire. No. We can go back this way. You talk about the 23, 24-year-olds. Austin Cauley was drafted in my draft class to the Indianapolis Colts, so I got to know him very well. I actually learned about their entire religion during a spring conditioning session. Not all of it, because there's a lot of history there and a lot probably to dive into, but Mitt Romney was going to potentially be president and this was the first time I was ever going to be like a human here. I had money and an adult and in the world, and I guess government is going to affect my life now more than it ever was going to. So I just wanted to learn, you know, about what it is, what's going on, what does this guy believe it's about to potentially run the country, and how do you get into this and all this? And Austin broke it down to me in like a 30-minute thing, answered every question I had, and I did a little bit of research to have enough questions. But what I learned about him was, and the mission was so fascinating, he comes in as a freshman, breaks all their records, wide receiver records, and he gets called to go on a mission. I think he goes to Venezuela or Argentina, one of the Central America countries. Two years, no football, no weights, no nothing. You only write to your family once a week on a Sunday, and you're just basically dropped into these countries. He knows how to speak Spanish very well. Anytime we run into anybody that's Spanish-speaking, he's got it. He told stories of being down there and some, going into some wrong areas and some stuff popping off while he's in there and having a high. So it's not just like they're older, they also are, I don't want to say living, but they are living. This is not like an easy mission trip that they go on. They get called to go on. So whenever he got drafted to the Colts draft class, and I got drafted, and we're in the same draft class, he was like a 50-year-old man versus me. I was 21 years old getting drafted in there. It was just interesting to learn about it, and they're all seemingly the same way. It feels like everybody that comes out of BYU is basically like the same type. Super mature, already has a family, wildly athletic and handsome. That is seemingly a trait that they have. I'm excited for the world to get to celebrate it or see it this weekend, and then Notre Dame is coming to town with a really good football team. I mean this is a very, very, very good Notre Dame team that a lot of people can't stamp them as being a great football team yet because they haven't really had to play anybody. This will be a massive test out there in Provo. It'll be a tough field to play against, a tough team to play against, and the weather looks like it's going to be perfect. We should see the best on the best out there for that game. Ohio State-Indiana should be a great game. The weather here has been very nice. I don't know what it's going to be like this weekend. That should be an incredible game. Kentucky, can they continue to go after Oklahoma gets a It's a win over Texas. Has Oklahoma found it, or is that just a Red River rivalry excitement that got them over the hump? There's huge games. Alabama, Tennessee, cigars smoking. I mean, it's a massive weekend of college ball that we're about to get in two-tone. I mean, like if you just roll through the thing here, Ohio State, Indiana, that could be for a number one, number two seed going into the playoffs, home playoff game, all that stuff. Texas and Florida, Texas, you cannot afford to lose that one. Florida definitely can't afford to lose it. But Texas, if you lose another one, you can't lose another one and maybe miss the playoffs. Obviously, Bama and Tennessee, they're both wearing their home uniforms for the first time since like 1970, I think, in this one. Obviously, the winner smokes the cigars. Missouri and Ole Miss, bit of a revenge game for Missouri. Quarterback and wide receiver, Austin Simmons, they're going back to Ole Miss. Huge one in the Big 12 on Oklahoma State and Houston, obviously. UCLA, Wisconsin, two teams with only one loss. Sorry, one loss just for the Badgers, so that's a big one. And then, yeah. You talked about Kentucky and Oklahoma in there. Like, Kentucky's coming off back-to-back overtime wins. Oklahoma, a huge emotional win in the Red River rivalry. That's one of the – it was like I would fade both of these teams if they weren't playing each other this weekend, but here they are. See who can get those emotions in control after those big wins last week. Shout-outs to college football delivering every weekend. Parody is ridiculous. The NFL kicks off its week six tonight in a big one. And Connor's a little bit worried about it being a bad game. Is that right, Connor? Yeah, I mean, it's just one of those things. I feel like we have seen Denver, you know, kind of show up. They scored 30 points against the Rams at home in primetime just a couple weeks ago. So, it's not that they don't have that capability. It does just reek of one of those gross 17-13 grinded-out games where at halftime you're like, do I really have to watch the rest of this? Yes, you do because we only have so many of these things. But Bo Nix and Sean Payton last week didn't have it figured out. That was ugly for a little bit against the Chargers. It looked like they were going to lose that game until the Chargers did what the Chargers have done. All season long, kind of handed it over to them. And then Seattle. Seattle on offense, what was it? They had four turnovers, five turnovers last week. That's something that if that carries over, that it's just going to turn into one of those really, really ugly games. I wonder if the weather comes into effect. I don't think that it will. But it is kind of a get-right game for both sides of it. So, I'm interested to see who gets it right or if nobody gets it right. They start a little slow in Denver against a Seattle defense. That could be problematic. The Broncos have scored 20 points across their first four drives of games this season. Total. Fewest in the NFL. That's one point per drive. Not great. That's obviously not great. But the cardiac games, the close games, have been falling Bo's way since he's got there. Bo Nix has won 13 straight one-possession games. The longest regular season streak since Peyton Manning had in a 15-gamer in 2008 through 2009. So, if you get it to the fourth quarter and Bo Nix is your quarterback, he'll be able to get you over the hump. That is what that stat says. Winning close games is an incredible trait to have in the NFL. Close games become close games. The Seattle Seahawks team, though, they have a great equalizer on their offensive side. And he had a drop last week. Yeah. Crazy. Which we have never – I don't – these eyes don't remember seeing that. No. Especially in the moment in which it was. Fourth quarter, Jackson Smith and Jigba in a gotta-have-it type play. Drops one. Not easy. That would have been an absurd catch. Over his left shoulder. Ball comes over his right shoulder. Hits both his hands, though. Jackson Smith and Jigba, 99.99999% of the time, is somehow batting. That or catching that to himself. Falling down with a first down. Seattle Seahawks win that game. So now, you got Jackson Smith and Jigba coming back. Sam Darnold coming back. And McDonald's defense potentially cooking this Broncos team early. I like where the Seahawks sit. I really do. But Denver has that one-score-game-winning mindset, which Sean Payton has to love. Sean Payton hasn't been able to figure out an offense this year yet. Like, was Davis Webb – was he the problem? We were all saying Davis Webb was the problem. I don't know. Sean Payton's back. Bo Nix has the worst game. Like, there was some stat, 136 times something happened. He was the number 134 or something. So, he was just not good for Bo. Is Bo Nix potentially having a little bit of a slow start, no matter who's calling plays? And is that why Sean Payton was like, I don't know if this is Davis Webb? Sean Payton and Bo Nix have had a lot of success together. We've seen them have success together. Is that just going to kick in overnight? Do we think the first week was a little bit rusty? Chuck Pagano has had to oversee a lot of these types of things? You would think so. You know, the Chargers ain't – you know, they're like middle of the – they rode defensively. They got a new defensive coordinator over there. They only had 224 of total offense against them. To Connor's point, they gave them the game. They turned the ball over. You know, so this is going to be a turnover game to me. You talked about Seattle and San Fran. Three first-half turnovers for the Seattle team, which led to 21 points. So, it looks like they got blown out and scored a bunch of points. They actually earned 11 points, and they had three short fields. One of them was – One of them was in the end zone, right? The guy knocked the ball out for San Fran and recovered it in the end zone for a touchdown. So, yeah, Bo's not playing well. He's at the bottom of the league in most of the quarterback's statistical categories. So, he hasn't played well. We all thought it was going to just be perfect with, you know, Sean going back to calling plays. That didn't happen. But this is mile high. Altitude's real. Home field is real there. So, we'll see if they can put it all together. They still got a defense. They're missing a couple key pieces on defense. Chetan out. The injury – Riley Moss, maybe, too. Hufunga's the big one. Yeah, Hufunga in the back. Patrick Stanton on the outside. Riley Moss, questionable, potentially out. It's a Thursday night. Usually, Thursday night, if it's questionable or something, let's go ahead and give them two weeks here. We give them two weeks, a bye week, but maybe fight through because this is a huge game. I don't love where Denver's sitting, but the NFL has been surprising to us the entire year. Who knows what happens tonight? We are hoping. We're hoping that our Superboost will hit. Yes, absolutely. Big time. We need JSN for six and 10 for Knicks. Okay? We need 10 scrambling yards for Bo Knicks. We just need him to go, ah, ah, and run. That's it. That's it. Kneel downs at the end do count. Oh, boy. As subtractions. Hopefully, we don't have to worry about that. Okay? We've run into this in years past whenever we were doing these Superboosts. Thank you, Tom Brady. We thought Tom Brady would have four yards rushing or something. It was like three and a half. He gets the four yards rushing. Actually, he did a couple at ease, I think. A couple, one at ease. He gets there. And then they're winning the game at the end. He takes two kneel downs. That thing drops back to two yards rushing. We lose Superboost. That was a heartbreak. We actually promised to never do a low scramble thing ever again. And then here we are on Thursday night, week six, where we go 10 yards for Bo Knicks and six for JSN. He just needs a touch of paint. After that drop last week, we think JSN is going to go crazy. We think one touchdown. Two touchdowns should be doable, should be gettable. Nothing's a guarantee. And Bo Knicks, 10 rush yards. Here we go. But if that gets to 11 rush yards and they're up and they have the ball less than two minutes and Seattle's got no timeouts, we are all shitting our pants about what's about to take place. Let's hope for a short run, another short run, and let's not get a big time first down with like a minute left with no timeouts in Seattle because that's a guaranteed kneel down. And maybe they'll sub somebody else and do a kneel down so they can get some snaps. That's not a bad idea. Get Stidham. Get Stidham. Get Stidham some snaps so he can get comfortable just like the Eagles did with Kenny Pickett in that Super Bowl and they're blowing out the Chiefs. Let's get the backup quarterback in there to do the kneels. This is what we're looking at tonight. We think it's doable. If you're of age and in the United States of America, we would love for you to come join us on the best sports book on earth, DraftKings. Now, you have to be responsible with your gambling. You cannot be an asshole because you cannot ruin it for all of us. You're not going to get rich off of this. There's only been like one person or two people in the history of sports gambling who have made careers out of this. This is just to make the game a little bit more fun. This is just a little bit for whenever we get down in the red zone and we all just see Jackson, Smith, and Jigba maybe in motion and we go, come on, come on, come on, come on. That's for what tonight is for. That moment. That feeling of togetherness as we have a team ride and we celebrate tomorrow morning when this hits. Not a guarantee. Be responsible. When this hits, tomorrow we will celebrate the hell out of that. How do we feel as we pivot away? Bill's played Rams in L.A., staying in L.A., playing the Raiders this weekend. Yep. Staying on the West Coast. Mm-hmm. It's come out. Josh, how do you feel? Josh Allen is working with his quarterback guru, Chris Hess, this week to work on his mechanics. Easier to get there than it is in Buffalo. Chuck Pagano, if a quarterback wants to get better from somebody that is not directly associated with the team, how does that end up working out? Alex Guerrero was not officially with the New England Patriots whenever Tom Brady and he started working together. Then it got to the point where Alex Guerrero had an office in the Patriots building and I believe his services were exclusively purchased for the New England Patriots. And then he moves down to Tampa Bay. We've heard about this in the past. How do we feel about this particular situation? And Josh Allen's only going to get better? Is that what we're all hearing here? He's not exactly thrilled with how he's throwing? Is that how you're taking it? Yeah. If he thinks that's the reason that he's going to get better and this guy can help him, then if you're Joe Brady and you're in their organization, you're going to say, yeah, okay, we're going to do it. The Guerrero thing is like, you think B.A.? No, you're going to keep him out? You're not coming here or whatever? No. You're coming in the building. You've got free access, right? I know we've had players in the past that were injured and had specialists come in and do your background check and all that stuff on them. But we said, hey, look, if it's the best thing for the player, yeah, all for it. We had body gurus come in for Dwight Freeney when we were heading into the Super Bowl. This is my rookie year. He had a terrible ankle. Something with his ankle. It was damn near broken, sprained, whatever it was. There was little to no hope for him to play in the Super Bowl. First day down there, second day down there, maybe in Fort Lauderdale. or wherever we're staying in the hotel. Walk around, I see guys and geese i thought it was awesome the super bowl sweet man just got guys and geese walking around that's awesome then like later that night i go to the third floor where our meetings were second floor whatever it was and i walk out the guys with geese are there and i'm like ah the ninjas got to our floor that's incredible you know so then i still don't know what the hell they're doing i genuinely have no idea why these guys with geese are walking around and then it wasn't until the next morning where i go to the training room guys and geese jackets off getting ready seem like they're getting jacked up and i go to our trainers i go i've seen these guys in geese with everywhere who are they they're like they are being tasked with getting freeney back into the super bowl it's like what are they going to do they go we have no idea we are all eagerly awaiting what they're going to do freeney got back in the super bowl got a sack in the super bowl and i thought to myself all right if anything ever happens where i need it we got to get dudes and geese but having people come into the building is something that is very uh i don't say regular but it is much more regular now than it's ever been especially with the specialists that you have but this chris hess guy i don't know him personally but i assume he works with a lot of guys so and then there's like jordan palmer yeah i think works with a bunch of guys there's there's a few of these quarterback experts and then there's also from my world there's kicking guys too and sometimes just like guerrero some of these teams will purchase the exclusivity of these particular specialist coaches so you can only work with our team and it's happened with doctors too i think who's the guy out of uh birmingham james andrews he got purchased cowboy cowboys i think had his right circle commanders is the commanders yeah dan snyder i think was like nope you're ours yes i could purchase it like these types of things do happen i like that josh allen's doing it i like that it's possible but for a guy who's dominating right now thinking that he's nowhere near being good enough that he needs to bring in somebody from the outside no stone unturned mindset continues but it's also scary to think what he could possibly become here yeah it just shows how big of a cycle pass some of these guys are because of how good they already are and how much better they want to be it does feel like he mentioned this before this game about something about his mechanics he wasn't feeling great throwing the ball he had the one throw to skyler bell that could have been a touchdown in this game that was a little behind him and low so you you assume he just watches the tapes he's like three things that he could fix and he's like i need to do this now because i need to be perfect because he is one of the best players already in the nfl and this will make him better chris hess was the guy that put the lasers on him okay so this was so i assume we're going right back to the laser treatment if anybody got uh long lens cameras where the bills are right now which they are probably doing that because josh allen's not a part of like pop culture and everything there's probably a photo about to come out of him looking like he's doing something for madden where he's going to be track manned up and then they're going to have an ipad that literally has it break down see you're wasting your motion right here we need that thing here okay so everything is in centrifugal it's all it's perfectly lined up they do that they have that science now and josh allen credited a lot of his immediate success after one off season to this particular uh system of life so i think that's what we're going to see and i think that's where we're going to see a little bit more of a reset with the lasers and uh he's going to be a machine again yeah recalibrate yeah it is a recalibrate yeah that's all it is a little bit of a reset with the lasers software update yeah let's go shake you up a little bit rattle you up we found something new because he can probably see that on film oh yeah probably see something coming to something feel it too i would assume during games like i think these kickers have this now so like kicking if you get leg lock that's when you get full power okay i can never do it because my hamstrings are too tight so i couldn't really do it often so that's when you get full power okay i can never do it because my hamstrings are too tight so i couldn't really do it often but i think they do it with kickers now too i assume it is i assume it's something to do with having full control because i think at your max power is also your max control which a lot of people don't know baseball i think they do this right yeah definitely to the pitchers to the hitters are they also doing it for the swings oh yeah joining us now this guy might be able to break down more never mind i was completely lied to what that was gonna be a great transition yeah unbelievable i just went through an entire laser thing i didn't even see that coming yeah exactly i just went through an entire laser thing for that you got to be shitting me bruce what happened i don't know honestly i i don't know no he never told me bruce ever but he did say time yes so we passed time so i thought he was sitting there you know but uh not bruce's fault i have a laundry list of quarterbacks he's worked with this house so i looked it up his other one is tony richardson so see how that goes that's right this guy's out of florida then i think because i think anthony richardson's guy was down in florida because also chase herbs i don't think they ever actually worked together i think it was suggested that ar go work with him and i don't believe he ever actually did oh yeah yeah we did some journalism on that i think where the it was the beginning of the off season that ar was planning to work with him and then it just never happened because a lot of what we saw from ar we saw from josh early in his career hey this is by far the best athlete on the field has a very strong arm but clearly has a couple things that if they were to like tighten up could probably only take his game a little bit further i think it takes a long time for somebody to acknowledge that they have to do that like josh allen could have done that after his first year he didn't i think i think it was like his third year after his third year he ended up doing it they also get stefan diggs i think in for his fourth year and maybe that's the third year instead of the fourth year we're trying to figure out exactly but he took a massive jump and it was like well was it because the addition of stefan diggs or was it because he tightened up on how the hell his technique is throwing the football and it's like yeah he became like a cerebral assassin out there as we wait for a baseball reference that was the entire ladies and gentlemen joining us now great mark de rosa how you doing boys god it's good to see you we went through an entire thing about josh allen putting lasers or buttons on his body so they can track how he's throwing like a golf track man kickers are doing it now so they can get leg lock then i asked the pitchers do that i was like yeah pitchers do that do hitters do that yeah hitters do that joining us now you aren't there so that's what just happened four minutes ago thank you for joining us right now uh can you tell me a little bit about the modern sciences potentially helping the ms and others reach velocities that we've never seen before because you can tighten up and hone in technique better than ever in your sport because in our sport it was a big deal into creating who josh allen is and he's revisiting the uh the laser guy this week so he might get better literally next weekend as we go forward so thank you for joining us yeah i i think for me pat it was the way i give you a perfect example is you you would face a guy get in a box against a guy and you'd walk back to the dugout and the guys would ask you what his fastball was like and you're like it's got late life on it which mean it would just explode through the zone some guys 95 would come out of their hands and it would hold 95 the whole way and you could kind of track it there were some guys kurt schilling could do this justin verlander could do this the ball would come out of their hand at 92 and present and then it was like gaining speed through and life through the zone we didn't know what it was and now we do know what it is right you're you're able to create extension there's a perceived velocity and the induced vertical break and all the measurables of how gravity hits a baseball so i mean i know you're one of the best punters to ever do it but man if you could dive into your body biomechanically back in the day to gain like four or five more yards you would have done it yeah i don't think i would have wanted to know what's going on in there though you know you're seeing what everybody else has just keep me oblivious you know uh that ignorance is bliss i don't want to know how bad my shit is versus everybody else's but yes i do think it's great for uh making athletes better players better sport better there's a peak though right it has to be like what the ms is doing and i can't i just keep talking about him because it's groundbreaking what he's accomplished for how long he's been there has to be a peak right or are they going to continue or guys just going to continue to get better and better and better as we're able to do it and i think it's a great idea and i think it's a great idea and i think it's a great idea and i think it's a great idea and i think it's a great idea and i think it's a great idea to hone in on all these things we shall see i mean bigger stronger faster i'm watching it with my own son 17 year old son you know i'm showing him stuff that i did when i was in the big leagues and it's kind of expedited expedited his process for travel ball high school going on to college so i mean the information is just there you'd be a fool not to dive in on it i mean it's it was kind of so archaic when i when i came up to the big leagues chipper jones used to take me in the video room and we used to watch his starters last night and i was like oh my god i'm going to be last five starts he used to break down how this guy was going to attack with an 00 count runners in scoring position um guys that kind of reminded him of himself how he would attack them and we'd formulate a game plan that way and now it's kind of you have so much information on these guys you don't have to you don't have to second guess it and if you got a weakness at the dish that's the beauty of the strikeout kind of going through the roof right now if you got a weakness at the plate they will just expose it to high heaven you can't hit a slider you're going to see nothing but sliders okay tell me about shohei so shohei's in a little bit of a slump right now ty thinks he's hurt ty thinks he's healthy enough to play obviously thinks he loves the game way too much though to not play has too much respect for the moment to not play for his team thinks there's something wrong with him potentially injured wise he is not playing the conversation got very loud around him and they're down 3-0 to the brewers right now is that why the conversation is so loud about him because they're down 3-0 or is it warranted convo and how are the dodgers as they stare down elimination potentially yeah i think it's warranted because he's making 700 million dollars and you expect him to be one of the big monsters in the middle of your lineup right bottom line and then the whole it goes back to the whole two-way thing the ability to pitch he wanted to win a cy young he made that apparently clear in april and he kind of grooved his whole season to try and win a cy young well trying to do all the all those things does it take away from the offense it never has but he's full season on the mound I think for me he's kind of an example I agree with Ty I definitely think he's dinged up I also think they have stuff in the training room for you not to feel that for three and a half hours I mean I'm sure you can attest to that Pat yeah yeah vitamin T is a great thing I didn't dive into but the whole offense is cold so it's exposing all the flaws right we're trying to figure out ways I I hate to do it but I can bring it back to the WBC if you'd like go on the whole offense went cold and everybody was looking for narratives basically saying we don't care as much as the other country Cal Raleigh's mean for not shaking hands I don't know the rules to the tournament I mean we went we started barrel rolling down this thing because no one was really hot and the offense when it's cold everybody looks flat got it winning tournament Make sure to subscribe to our channel and hit the bell so you get notified every time we post a new video. whenever you can you can put a band-aid over a lot of warts whenever you have success like football we have that a lot and you know Nick Saban has said on plenty of occasions that his team needed to lose some time like we needed to lose because we weren't winning and we weren't great when we were winning so everybody thought everything was good we needed to lose sounds like the Dodgers are in the middle of their losing time right now against their best opponent there's only been one team that's been able to come back down 3-0 and win the season so I think it's going to be a lot of fun and I think it's going to be a lot of fun and I think it's going to be a lot of fun and I think series. Two teams in total make it to a game seven. Who was that team? Who was that team? 0-4 Red Sox. Oh! Stop, baby. That was Kevin Millar. Unbelievable. Doing his thing. Don't let us win tonight. So I asked this morning, I'm like, this doesn't happen, right? And then Connor goes, one time. And I look at him and he goes, you know who? And I go, no. Go ahead. Hey, Pat, real quick. The other thing is, I know we're trying to focus on what's wrong with the Dodgers. I'd like to give love to the team that was the best team in the National League all year. Please. And they're doing it in a variety of ways. The Milwaukee Brewers, everybody's all like, they play small ball. Nope. They're three true outcomes this whole series. They've been nothing but homers and punch-outs. They're riding a hot hand right now. They've been great. They feed off each other. The chemistry's right. They walked into that series last. Last year, and like Jake Bauer said, he said, we knew we were flying to our funeral. Because they'd never been in that situation before. And now they are and they've been monsters for a buck sixty-two. I think they walked in confident, knowing they could beat them. And Skip Murphy's the man. He doesn't shake hands during the starting. Did you see this? Oh, yeah. He gets announced to go stand on the first base or third baseline, and he doesn't shake their hands, the rest of the team, when they come out. So they smack him in the chest, trying to get him to break. That's awesome. All the. Because the amount of time you guys hang out with each other in baseball is just absurd. Crazy. I couldn't fathom the amount of behind-the-scenes jokes and pranks, let alone the different languages that are all happening. And at this point, teams got to be tighter than ever, because I assume it gets loud. Loud for the Dodgers, great for the Brewers. And let's go to the other series that's taking place. Yeah. Game goes from six o'clock to one o'clock. Source says from the place you work, MLB says they were looking at the forecast. Everybody agreed this was the right move to do this. How should we be viewing this game? And Tone has a question for you. Yeah, Jadiro, like, how does this affect the starting pitchers? I was looking at their splits, because I'm trying to get an edge. We all need to make some cheddar here tonight. Like, Gavin Williams has a 4-8-2 in night starts and a 2-4-2 in day starts. And then Griffin Jacks for the Rays, he's thrown 50 more innings at night. So, like, how does that affect the starting pitchers going in today? What would you be telling them as a manager or starting pitchers? Hey, let's just stay out of their head. Yeah, I think you control the controllables, right? Like, you can't worry about the time getting changed. If anything, the 6 o'clock's a more awkward start for a lot of guys than the 1 o'clock. They're used to it, right? We played at 1 or 7. If I'm you right now, I'm riding Gavin Williams. Yep. I know, Jadiro. Bottom line, he's on a heater. I did a breakdown on him today. He's thrown as hard as he's thrown the entire season. It's like he's been waiting for this. There's always that one starting pitcher that kind of, everyone gets on their back. I would kind of think it's him coming off Game 5 home ballpark, series tied. I would jump on Gavin Williams. On the flip side, I got a lot of love for Griffin Jacks, Air Force grad, played with us Team USA. He's an absolute stud. I don't think he gets a long leash. I think it's more of a hey, you get this going for us, get us through the first time through the order and then we'll piece it together. Is Gavin's ERA better at night or during the day? So it's a 4-8-2 at night and a 2-4-2 during the day. Okay, it's a day game today. I like, is this normal for MLB to do during the playoffs, its biggest games, to move it out of potential night, prime time type conversations with ticket sales and promotion and TV all being such a big deal, going from 6-1 in less than 24 hours. I like the move, a lot of common sense move, but normally business matters would get in the way of this and we would have to deal with this on the back end. I applaud MLB for doing this. Is this normal out of you guys? Yeah, I don't know if it's normal. I think the bottom line is the forecast is saying they're going to have a tough time. They're even talking about tomorrow's game getting potentially moved. So, I don't think the players have any problem. It is beautiful, like I said we were talking to Ian Seymour, the starting pitcher for the Rays earlier. He said it's beautiful right now and we've been waiting our whole lives to play in the postseason, so whatever time they tell us to show up, we are. I like it. Rays, Guardians, and then Brewers seemingly coming out of the other side. That's a different narrative than we had going into the season. Ty has a question for you. Yeah, D-Ro, it seems like a lot of people are operating on the assumption that we are going to have a lockout, you know, kind of no matter what. But what do you think the owner's argument will be if we do get Brewers and then Rays or Guardians? Because it seemed like that was the sticking point is, hey, we need to have a salary cap floor because there needs to be competitive balance. Well, three of the four teams remaining are five of the lowest payroll teams in the majors. And then I saw someone say this morning that they think a small market, you know, low payroll World Series would be just a massive detriment to baseball too, which I don't agree with. But how do you think the owners will respond? Because if we do get that matchup, doesn't that kind of blow up everything they're arguing for in terms of a salary cap? I think it's twofold. I think both sides could kind of push a benefit narrative. Certainly the players could push the small market teams getting there. On the flip side, you don't want a situation where the big rig owners are walking into some of their guys saying, hey, if the Guardians and Milwaukee's of the world are winning 50 cents on the dollar, what the heck? Should we save some shekels here and start figuring out a better way to go about this? Yeah, we don't like that because the Pittsburgh Pirates are going to say, I don't like that. So the Pirates are going to say, so we've been spending too much money. Bob Nutting's got to walk into his analytics guys and GMs and go, I'm watching Milwaukee playing a World Series, taking apart the Dodgers. Where are we missing it? And Nutting will say, I've been told I don't spend money. We're spending more money than some of these teams that are going in. Monkey see, monkey do. They got the model. We need to spend less money. So now the salary floor is definitely going to be in conversation for the negotiation. And if a floor is in, then a cap's in, and a cap's never going to be agreed to by the player. Are we dog chasing tail, I think is what Ty wants to know. Well, kind of. And also, like in that argument, it just gets, they completely ignore the fact that, like, Milwaukee, the Guardians, the Rays, like, they make the playoffs every fucking year because they are very good teams. Their farm systems are really good. Their entire coaching staff is really good. Like, they pick the right players. They trade for the right guys at the deadline. Like, they do everything right and they play the right way. It's not just, oh, we're paying more money or, you know, like, they just, they ignore all that stuff. Yeah, it's, um. You guys know, you know this. I mean, listen. The game couldn't be in a better place with superstar players that are exploding. I know the players are going to have a hard time ever uttering the word salary cap out of their mouth. I, I, hopefully they're talking. I, they said they're talking right now. Hopefully that's the case. Whatever needs to happen for it not to. Let's keep going. Cause some type of missing of game. Yeah, let's keep going. We can't have a missing season. Can't. It killed hockey for a few years. Hockey was able to get back cause they changed some of the rules. It made the game much more exciting. Baseball has been in the middle of changing rules to make the game more exciting. Feels like we're already at that point. Let's keep it rolling. Hopefully both parties come together and make that happen. I would like the Pirates to be forced to spend money on good players, but maybe. I hear you. Maybe they need to spend less money and win the whole damn thing like the Guardians are doing. Last question. Let's talk a little bit about something positive. Paisano, Coach Pagano has a question for you, DeRozan. Oh, nice. Hey, DeRozan. Let's talk about something that's important, okay? Tired of all this baseball nonsense. So, I'm in charge of Sunday gravy in my house. I'm guessing you're in charge of your gravy on Sundays in your home. I'm always looking to improve. Can you tell me what you put into your sauce? Yeah, it's not. For me, Chuck, it's not the sauce. You gotta have the meat in there. The meatballs and the spare ribs and the pork and that type of stuff. So, you're making your homemade meatballs then? Yeah, give me a little texture in there. I'm not just a flat red sauce guy. We got that. Are you going straight beef? Do you put any Italian sausage in your meatballs? What do you do? I usually, no, I usually don't. Give that a shot. Come on, T-Row! Give that a shot. You go ground beef, little turkey, sausage, little Italian sausage. Yeah, mingya. They're good. You know what, the beef isn't Italian enough. You need to put the Italian sausage into the beef so you can inject Italian into the basic ass American Midwestern beef where there are no Italians. Okay, so you need to put the Italian sausage into the beef that's coming from the Midwestern part of America. Chicago's got a lot of Italians. Much respect. I apologize for even saying that. I think there's some up there in Detroit, too, although the most famous Irish gangster's pretty much from up there. Sorry. Not gangster. Union runner. I didn't get it. You understand what I'm saying? Yeah. Still don't know where he's at because of potentially the Italians, but as the battle continues to run in circles, you need to be putting more Italian into the meat. Meatball itself, not Italian enough. No. I gotta get better. Yeah. Italian sausage. You guys putting chips in there, like jalapeno chips in here, just to add a little texture if we're trying to do that? Miss Vickie's? How about the noodle, Paisan? What kind of noodle? There's a lot of discussion over noodles. You a rigatoni guy? You a regular pasta guy? No, I definitely lean rigatoni. There's no doubt about it. 100%. What about penne? Stock. Bowtie? What? 100%. Oh, no. It's rigatoni. It's a rigatoni. I listen to rigatoni all day, but if penne is the only option, I'm gonna go. We're all going shells if there's stuff. What about angel hair? You guys go angel hair, go light carbs? The sauce doesn't absorb the sauce. You can't get any sauce to stick to it. You gotta have a big noodle. You gotta have the rigatoni, then the meat, the sauce. Or the babadelle. Hey, Nick, what's that shit that we're eating with your family all the time? What is it all? Oh, the bucatini. Yeah, there it is. Bucatini. You're eating bucatini? What's that drink, too, that you guys are getting me all boozed up on? Oh, the limoncello? Oh, yeah, the limoncello, the orangecello. Come on. Can I tell you. Chuck ends with Zambuca. We don't do the limoncello. I want to let you know. Three coffee beans in there, Faizan. There you go. I don't know if you guys want to be questioning this particular Italians you're talking about here in Pittsburgh, just so we can have a conversation. I know where we're all from. He made orangecello one time. The Zambuca's the better. Okay. Anthony DiGiulio coming in from the side there. We appreciate you, D-Ro. You're the man. You're the best. I would like to tell you, the man in the back there that brought up the bucatini and the limoncello and all that stuff, his wedding day, he married another fine Italian lady with a huge Italian family. His family wildly Italian. We come from an Italian thing. I'm speaking at this thing, okay, so obviously great time for me to be speaking in there. I feel like I kind of know the culture a little bit. I go to his dad just like, hey, before I do this speech, I might have it wrong. You're like really fucking Italian, right? He goes, no, not me. Not me. And I go, really? He goes, my mom from Italy. I'm like, okay. All right, yeah, so you are though. Yeah, yeah. He goes, no, my mom is actually. I'm like, but you are. We're super fucking Italian in here? And he goes, you can say that. Yeah, you can say that. I'm like, thank you so much, Mr. Moroto. Grazie, paesano, as we move through there. And I think us, we were the only non-Italians in that entire place. What a time. What a time. And Pac-Man. Us and Pac-Man. Tech Joe. Yeah, Tech Joe was there in his shorts. It was unbelievable. All right, D-Row, grazie, paesano. All right. Enjoy the games, boys. Thanks for having me. Hell yeah. Go enjoy your gabagoo. With some cheese. A little bokeh. Ciao. Yeah, absolutely. That's right. Yeah, D-Row. I called him Mike DeRosa. Jeez. That was really Italian television there for a bit. It was good. You won Super Duper Italian of the Year, right? Yep. What was that thing? What was it at? It was up there? It was over in Lake Geneva. Wisconsin, right? National Italian G-O-I. Golf deal. Yeah. National Italian Golf Deal. You won the National Italian of the Year. Is that right? I guess that's what it. What an award. Yeah. Joe DiMaggio was on that list. Wow. Frank Sinatra. Frankie? Good company. Jeez, Louise. Charlie. And then you got Charlie Regardless. When they called, I said, are you sure? I'm looking at this list. You can't have me on there with these dudes. Yes, you can. Yes, we can. That's our coach. That's a respect. That's our Super Italian of the Year coach. Coach Pagano. Here's Italian-Americans making a difference. Obviously, you got Tommy Lasorda's on there. R.I.P. Ron Luciano's on there. Sal Maglia. Amici's on there, isn't he? Chuck Pagano. I don't see. Frank Sinatra's over there to the right. I don't see Tony Miola on there. What the hell? Is that Bill Zito from the Florida Panthers? Bottom right. Yes, he won last year, remember? Yeah. Wow. Yeah, he was flying up there. I think we celebrated with him as he got the acknowledgement. We aim to one day win Super Italian of the Year. That is what we aim to do. Life goal, actually. Life goal is for us as a show to win the Super Italian of the Year. We got a long way to go, especially with the name McAfee in the middle of it. But, remember. You got a shot. 01%. Yeah. 23andMe, I did the spit thing. Where'd that all go? Do we know? They're cloning people. No! There's a whole army of us coming. Oh, no. I do not want to run into me. I'd be feeling like I'm a New York Times columnist if I saw another version of me. That was crazy to wake up to today. That's pretty wild. That's fun to think about, I guess, that we're at this stage of life. That is a wild thing, though. Oh, yeah. New York Times? The pinnacle, they say. I almost feel honored. Big publication. Yeah, I almost feel honored. Let's not talk about that. Although, it's hard not to, I'm going to be honest. Just as we get into this entire thing, it's hard not to be like, why are these people saying I'm going to Monday Night Football? I'm not going to Monday Night Football. They always say the Times definitely has their finger on the pulse of things right now. That's New York Times football, baby. That's New York Times football. Marvin Harrison Jr. looks fast. He does. With the Houston Texans. I think that is a big deal. I think Marvin Harrison Jr. getting back with C.J. Stroud. Maybe this will ignite Marvin Harrison Jr.'s NFL career that has, you know, stumbled out of the gates over there in Arizona, gets traded to Houston. One and four football team. C.J. Stroud and he, very tight. Maybe they get on the same page. Maybe he can ignite something that we all hoped for whenever he joined the NFL. Change of scenery. You know, sometimes that's all it takes. So he's back with his quarterback. New atmosphere, new building. That's why he looks fast, man. The guy's pumped. He looks good. Now, when he comes to the Loud House in the future, he's going to have a long damn day. Alright, let's get to a break. Really? Charlie, you're on the pregame show. It's unbelievable. Be a friend, tell a friend something nice. We'll see you on the other side. The King returns. Sylvester Stallone is back as mob boss Dwight Manfredi. In the Paramount Plus hit series, Tulsa King. Hello, beautiful people. And welcome back to our humble abode. The DraftKings Thunderdome on this NFL Week 6 kickoff Thursday hour to the sports program begins now. Football! He's the greatest. The Talks at Table is here at Boston. Connor and that Ty Schmidt. One after the hammer. Dad! Tone? Have we been hitting our super boosts or no? Uh, we're above 500. So, I don't know. Is that good? They're doing like Saturday game day pitches. That doesn't count. I don't, yeah, I think people are counting that though. That doesn't count. Does it get boosted or are they just the picks? I think it does get a tiny bit of a boost. Shit! Yeah, so. Let's not count those. It's like four games. You're only one off at all of those. And it's always a, it's goddamn SEC. They can't figure it out down there. Thank you. And maybe it's a consistency issue down there in the SEC. Exactly. That's what I'm saying. Nobody talks about that. We'll bring that up to Coach Saban as we go ahead. But I just don't love that we are getting nose held over our heads. So, we're going to change this. We're going to get those out of there. Okay. We're going to go with our best bets as opposed to game day picks with some of them. I don't know. There was I don't want to give away the gimmick too much here, but like, if I'm sensing everybody's thinking one thing. Sure. Because of how sports have gone in the past with prediction shows, I will pick the other thing. Just because I'm like, you know what? I've seen this song and dance before. Do I need to be putting that out there for people to be? No. You're riding the lightning. Exactly. In the moment. Right. Yeah. And also sometimes those, they go up and you have to make a decision within like 40 seconds because the games are about to start. Fuck, I don't do it. Yeah, exactly. But hosting games, I'm seeing pretty good. - Exactly. - And that's 'cause the vibe. I think I touched vibe. have a little bit more detailed information on what's going on with who maybe get eyes on some of the players and some of the coaches oh wait a minute that looks like a loser today okay that that is oh that looks like a winner today hopefully this will continue we got to change that though because our boost that we've been doing for these games i feel pretty good about what we're doing tonight should be great i think now not a guarantee nothing is guaranteed in this world nobody knows the outcome of sports if you did you will certainly utilize it to bankrupt draft kings we are certainly trying to do that but we cannot see the future nobody can i like this one a bit tone how do you feel about it and why do why is this you think what we landed upon i feel pretty good uh obviously the broncos have some secondary uh health issues uh patrick sirtan is out um you know so that's good for jsn he's seven touchdowns on the season so they haven't played seven games so averaging at least a touchdown a game is good bo nicks has rushed for 10 yards exactly the last two games um so that'll be exciting to watch that one uh especially against the seahawks pass rush which i think is a good thing this one boosted to plus 300 like that's incredible odds uh for this you know you're not technically supposed to hit a ton of plus 300 bets but tonight i think we're on the right side for this one so you know if you can do it responsibly i would join us tonight okay responsibly join us uh we have a team ride 37 years as a football coach our teams coach ladies and gentlemen coach regano is here you coach how you doing pal you look fantastic another thursday night you haven't been able to see a damn thing now this guy coached football for 37 years has connections still in the league has a lot of knowledge on schemes and strategies still happening today in games he's one in four okay this guy 37 years of coaching football experience one in four so you cannot be expecting to be great but we do need to turn this around chuck looking at tonight's game is there a clear cut for you or you've been lost off on a little bit get the syrup out i've thought clear cut the last five weeks and look at my record you talked about what were they wishing upon you kidney stones kidney stones yeah i guarantee it like i had some serious hate this last week it's been getting louder and louder if i don't get things turned around i don't i don't see a clear cut tonight i mean when you look at the stats we'll look at them later like it says okay yeah you should take this team seattle they should win this game not a problem bo nicks is struggling that offense is struggling they got defensive personnel out the number one defense in the national football league in seattle is coming down they got jsn you talked about him his numbers are better than they were a year ago he was the league mvp at this time seven touchdowns 587 yards 37 37 catches but can can bo nicks settle down can this offensive line for seattle protect they still have a good front seven in denver they still got bonito they still got ellis they got some dudes that can get out alan they can get after the quarterback you know can these receivers like the corners that defense for seattle you got studs all three levels okay last week mike evans had a field day right six of those seven catches were on job okay and they were all contested he was in he was in good good position now will they use big guy like sutton you know will they get waddle on him you know and try to do the same because nobody's testing spoon for the witherspoon on the other side so we'll have to see and then hafunga out on on that defensive side how's the communication going to be for the broncos week six kicks off tonight on prime we'll have kirk herb street the color commentator for tonight's game and every thursday night game alongside al michael's here in about five minutes joining us live from an attic in ohio is a college football national champions football champion rodder cup winner aj hawk what up it's fun to to a fun first a really italian first hour i feel like from you guys so i feel a little bit of an outsider but i'm i'm okay with it it was pretty italian wasn't it we had a little mozzarella on that conversation if you know what i mean don't worry about it uh whatever you think about the italians uh you think about a lot of things yeah beautiful culture wonderful food people crime getting organized race yeah like cooking you know yeah cooking hair pizza elbow i couldn't tell from all the potatoes falling out of his mouth what he was saying so yeah whoa yeah it was you are it was you're right it was super italian and thank you for okay we don't need that okay we don't need you doing that right there isn't it hey fun goal to all of you okay all of you all of you let's see you back on track we cannot let the italian show become a toxic italian show because one irishman from boston decides to uh thank you for bringing that in here you also think about uh sports books and you think about gambling a little bit aj as you look to tonight's game seattle seahawks favored in denver denver a little bit banged up on the back end as chuck just talked about sirtan who funga uh maybe even riley moss he's questionable he could potentially be out that's huge losses to a defense that we all know is going to be steadfast as you see this game are you waffling or do you see it one way before we make our picks at the end of the hour uh i am not waffling at all i felt very uh convicted i guess in what i thought coming in and then i heard the first hour i heard chuck is waffling says there's not a clear-cut choice here i feel like in my brain it is absolutely a clear-cut choice who is going to win this game and i guess i'll let you know here in in about 50 minutes i like that aj's been going with his gut he's been seeing it very very clearly uh will he be doing the obvious pick like it appears chuck's going to be doing and probably me or is he going to go against the grain and pick the home squad before we get to tonight's game or more conversation about tonight's game and also college football there's some pretty crazy breaking news happening uh around jalen hertz ian rapaport has tweeted breaking the eagles quarterback jalen hertz is out for sunday due to a superficial blood clot full statement from the eagles on quarterback jalen hertz on thursday october 8th jalen visited the training room after practice requesting treatment for his calf he informed the medical staff he had been cleated during the rams game on october 4th this was his first treatment session for the calf injury following the game after having practice in full both wednesday and thursday on friday jalen received treatment practice in full and was added to the practice report out of an abundance of caution an ultrasound was performed on saturday following the team's flight to london and walk through the ultrasound revealed a superficial blood clot our medical staff and doctors in london reviewed the results and concluded that activity and mobility were important and that jalen could safely play doctors recommended a follow-up ultrasound within 72 hours of the game in return flight to philadelphia jalen played without limitation in the game sunday received treatment on monday and tuesday practice in full on wednesday as reflected in the practice report throughout our time in london this week we have remained in communication with the league office regarding the matter on wednesday night a follow-up ultrasound revealed movement in a small blood clot jalen will be out for sunday's game versus the panthers as we determine the appropriate course of treatment his health and safety are our highest priority if you could facetime ian so we can get a little bit more information superficial blood clot i don't know exactly what that is i do know clots moving is never good and i believe what what we just looked up about the superficial blood clot is if they move or something there's a chance that this could be related to um i believe i don't want to say i'll let rap work but cancer i believe there is more to it and why it is appearing and not appearing i think out of abundance of caution they're going to check it out that's scary stuff though anytime you start talking about blood and blood clot now we are very lucky to have a man here who not lucky but uh fortunate for this particular conversation anytime you get some blood blood diagnosis or blood news it's very scary because that's your entire body that is the life blood actually the uh for your engine blood clot scary you had you were diagnosed with leukemia which i believe is blood yes cancer right is what it is do you know anything about what this is and how do you think it is normally handled whenever stuff like this takes place uh i don't know what this is the clot is is something that like it does move and for fear of it going maybe to your whatever right could be something so but from a cancer state i don't know if they're looking for that when i went in i just thought routine blood work i had the bruising stuff like that and then you get a call back said hey your white blood cells are like out of control we've made you an appointment to go see an oncologist so what i thought was not real serious thank god i got checked thank god we had that bi-week the fourth week otherwise i probably never go in yeah and you end up beating leukemia battling through leukemia through your entire first year as a head coach get back we win go to the playoffs you uh you were a great inspiration for all of us and chuck strong was founded throughout the entirety of that and raised millions and millions and millions of dollars of research so good was found and the silver lining was found and we love that you got checked and found that out and as a coach that year i want to let you know we're all playing our ass off for you as you know joining us now is the man that just broke that news ian rapaport junior um can you tell me a little bit more about a superficial blood clot because i guess moving to lungs is a big deal moving the brain is a big deal but then superficial blood clot we just looked up there's also ties potentially to very other serious matters what do we know at this point and obviously positive thoughts and prayers towards jalen yeah i mean we talk a lot about football here this you know this really has nothing to do with football except that football jalen hurts cannot play football until the situation is solved so you know we know that he's not going to play football until the situation is solved so he's going to play football until the situation is solved so he's going to play football until the situation is solved so uh you heard i don't know if you heard him talk uh after recently maybe it was yesterday about feeling some pain in his calf a lot of times when players have blood clots it starts in their calf right and so you think this was sort of the same with with christian barmore you think uh of the patriots that with a similar thing you think that your calf is sore but you can't stretch it out and And really what it is is a blood clot. So Hertz reported to the Eagles that he got kicked in the calf, which is why he thought his calf was bruised, why he thought it was sore. So it was a full participant, was looked at, was played, everything was okay. Knowing that they would check it in about 72 hours, they did an ultrasound and learned that the clot had moved. And the reason that's scary is because if the clot moves, say, to your lungs, the ramifications can be very bad. Got it. Very, very bad. And so what happens now is he's going to get treatment, which a lot of times is blood thinners. When you are on blood thinners, it is very difficult, if not impossible, to play football because if something happens, I don't need to spell it out for you, but it could be very bad. And so I would say Jalen Hertz needs to get his medical situation fixed, and the Eagles have said that is the most important thing. So that is why we are not going to see him Sunday and likely beyond. All right. Thank you, Rappaport. Obviously, very serious news coming out of the Philadelphia Eagles. Jalen Hertz, T's and P's. He takes incredible care of himself. He's in great shape. He's a hard worker. Whatever is tasked with him here, we assume he'll be able to conquer. That's crazy news, though. Crazy. That's like real life coming in real quick and smacking you right in the face. Like, hey, football, ankle, hamstring. How about this one? Boom. So we're thinking about everybody over there, AJ. I think that's the best thing. I don't know what else we could possibly say, but, like, good luck. Scary situation. Also, with the Eagles, they didn't – they cut Andy Dalton like 10 days ago. Yeah. Yeah. So he might be coming back. We know who the backup is. Yeah, Tanner McKee. He's played well. He's definitely played well. All right. I mean, Landon, Blaine. Devontae and Saquon. Jurgens. Yeah, that was Murphy's Law. I mean, yeah. I mean, even Philly fans. Like, this is so serious to the point where, like, Philly fans, I feel like, will even understand. Oh, definitely. Definitely, definitely, definitely. Blood clots off of you. Yeah. Okay. T's and P's to Jalen. We'll obviously keep everybody updated with what we know. Yeah, that's scary stuff. You Google it. There's a lot of scary stuff that pops up there. A lot of scary stuff that pops up. You can't Google any health stuff when it comes to – it'll scare you to death. He'll battle. We know he will. All right, pivoting away from the Philadelphia Eagles and Jalen Hurts, let's go to tonight's game, and let's go to college ball. Joining us now is a man who's a former president of Ohio. He's got incredible blue eyes. You ever seen these things? In a face that don't wrinkle somehow. Hmm. Good routine. That's what I want to – it just kind of hit me. Papa Tui. Yeah, Papa Tui. Yeah, it might be Papa Tui. All of the Papa Tui. Ladies and gentlemen, Kirk Herbstreit. Yeah. Herbie. Cool. Papa Tui. So, no, no. I get the tips from you. Your skin looks better than anybody's. No, it does not, but it does look better than it did a year ago, so thank you for that. Papa Tui is what I'm doing. Go ahead, pal. I'm sorry. Hey, hey. I wanted to let you know, I was listening to you guys talk about Jalen. I had a calf injury that I thought was a calf injury. Ended up being – I found out later I had a heart scan for something else, and I ended up having a pulmonary embolism, which meant I had calf – I had clots in my right calf. Didn't really pay attention to it. Didn't get on blood thinners. Just kind of thought, oh, I pulled a muscle. Didn't really pay attention. And a week later, for something else, for a heart scan, they're like, do you realize you have blood clots in your lungs? They went through your – they go through – what happened in my case, left my calf, got into my bloodstream. I passed them laying in bed at night. I thought I was having a heart attack. The amount of pressure I felt on my chest. I was about to go to the emergency room, and it lasted for maybe an hour or so. Next day, I ended up having this test, ironically, and that's when they found that mine went through my heart. That's where people die. It goes through your heart. It can block your heart and kill you. Mine went through my heart and ended up going through the heart and then ended up in the lungs. Oh, my. And from that day on, I've been on these, Xarelto, which is a blood thinner, and I'll be on those the rest of my life just to prevent the potential of getting blood clots. So when you talk about what Jalen – Jalen Hurts is going through, I can totally relate to that. And you put football and all the bullshit to the side and just you pray for him. And I'm lucky that I'm very fortunate to hear the news that they found this out early and he'll get on blood thinners. And these blood thinners, by the way, they work instantly. So it's great news that they were able to diagnose that before it left his calf and went through his body. And, well, I guess he did say that the clot had moved, right? Moved, yeah. So – but if he can get on those blood thinners, man, it really reduces the risk and the fear of those, you know, where it can go into your brain, can go into your heart, all kinds of things. Those clots are very dangerous. Put football to the side and just, you know, focus on him and his health and getting right. Thank you for sharing your story with us. I did not know this happened. When was this for you? Probably about three or four years ago. Scary, huh? Scary as hell to learn all this in real time. Like, what Jalen's going through right now is probably a pretty scary – a very scary story. Yeah, yeah, yeah. You know, and I – turns out a bunch of – when I went through mine, there are other guys that – in the music industry that have gone through some stuff as well that, you know, everybody kind of reaches out to one another when you – because it's just such an unprecedented thing. You're just like, what the heck is going on? You've heard about other people having blood clots, but then when you have one yourself, you kind of panic. So – The fact that they were able to diagnose this so quickly and the fact that they, I'm sure, got him on blood thinners, you know, he's going to be – you know, I'd like to think he's going to be okay because those blood thinners are amazing, the work that they will do. But it takes time for those clots to kind of work themselves out. And the blood thinners help do that. But it does – it definitely takes time to be able to work that out. Okay, good optimistic message there. Thank you for telling us about this. And if anybody watching ever experiences something, there is light at the end of the tunnel. Kirk Herbstreet is a depiction of that. And I think we should – can we – should we get checked? How do we get – like, what is a way to – Can we prevent it from happening? The only thing I would say, because I don't know a lot about it other than I'm just listening to Rapoport as well, saying that a lot of times these things start in your calf. If you ever have a calf injury, if you ever have a calf that's kind of like – I used to run a lot. Like, I used to run half marathons. And I – one thing I would always deal with is a calf. I'd always – my calves would lock up. When I would do a lot of the running. And I'd just kind of ignore it. I would just recommend if you ever feel some kind of like a strained calf or some kind of calf injury of any kind, I would recommend getting that checked out, you know, just to be sure. Because, you know, if you do what I did and you ignore it and these clots release, and that's when bad things happen. I was so fortunate. I mean, I – what are the odds of, you know, having – I had three clots in my calf and like three or four of them released into my bloodstream and went through my heart. And how lucky, you know, are you that the fact that they – Yeah. You know, once they go through the heart, that's where it's lights out. You know, there's no warning. You just – you just – you just die. And in my case, the clots were small enough. They were able to pass through my heart. But if you have a calf strain or a calf injury of any kind, my recommendation after going through what I went through is just go to the doctor and get it looked at. And they can do an ultrasound. And right away, you can see them. It's real simple to see them if you have them. All right. Thank you for that message, Herbie. We are very happy that you're still alive. Mm-hmm. Okay? It's not just Peter over there. It's not just your beautiful family. We are all very happy that you're still alive. Okay? I appreciate that. Yeah. I don't know how, with clots floating through your heart, how your face and skin is just so young still. I don't know how that works. My mom. Yeah, I know. My mom's genes. I'm blessed. She is awesome, too. She's got a badass soul. I've met her a couple times. She is. She's from Ohio. Mm-hmm. And she has a 60-year-old son from Ohio. She is awesome. Okay, let's talk about awesome. Tonight feels like we got a great one. Seattle Seahawks traveling into Denver. Denver banged up on the back end. We talked about it ad nauseum at this point. But Sam Darnold, Jackson Smith, and Jigba have that late situation. We think that's going to motivate Jackson Smith and Jigba. We think we're about to see a monster night from him. We think their defense is going to continue to be smothering. And it seems like this is a one-sided affair. Now, you calling the game have a lot more information. I've dove into it a little bit deeper. We should not be thinking that, I assume, because this is the NFL. And Sean Payton's the head coach of the Denver Broncos. Yeah. I mean, did you guys watch Hard Knocks? I think we all love that show. Every year it comes out, right? Yeah. I already had a great appreciation for Mike McDonald and what he does. What he's represented as a head coach. Really loved him as a coordinator, you know, in the NFL with the Ravens. And, Coach, I'm sure you know him. The time that he spent at Michigan, you know, they were chasing a national championship when he was there. Just an incredible guy. But the Hard Knocks show really, to me, showed me why he is such a great leader. You know, he shared some stuff with his team. Like, he's very, very authentic and vulnerable. When he got up in front of the team, talked about one of his teammates in Baltimore. and who had passed away, and, you know, You know, he got emotional in front of them. And you could just kind of feel the players, like, they really love him. You know, I just think he is an awesome leader. And I think he's one of the best leaders we have right now in sports, not just in the NFL. And he's got a team right now that's defensively, you know, elite, one of the best that we obviously know about the last couple years and the way they played on that side of the ball and the way they have, you know, they have the different chess pieces on the back end with three and 21, what they can do. For that defense, the question really is more about what Brian Fleury, the new offensive coordinator who came over from San Francisco, who's the run game coordinator and tight end coach, working with Kittle. And he's implementing a very similar scheme that Clint Kubiak had last year. Now the head coach of the Raiders. But I feel like they're still trying to get Sam to play decisively. You know, like last week against Sam Fran, he's holding onto the ball, looked a little hesitant in the pocket, ended up having five sacks. And it's easy to say, well, the offense, the line, what's going on up there. But it was really more about him just not having answers. Now, my thing is you take Kenneth Walker and that dynamic playmaking ability out of that offense. And I think it changes it. I would ask you, coach, I'd ask you, 11 is one of the best players in the league. Outside of 11 right now, and I'm looking at my board, Jadarian Price on the IR, Charbonnet working back from the ACL. So he'll be back hopefully in another week. But outside, you know, those two are eventually going to come back. The backs that they have are good, solid, steady backs, but they're not, they're not, you know, scaring you. You have Shahid, who's more of a gadget guy, more of a special teams guy who can go vertical. You have Cooper Cup, who's, who's obviously still a good player. But if I'm defending Seattle tonight and I got Vance Joseph defensive scheme, man, I'm coming up with anything I can to just ID where 11 is. And I'm either rolling coverage to him. I'm going to either, have him bracketed, I'm going to double him. I'm going to do whatever I can to try to make anybody else besides 11 beat me tonight, if I'm Denver. Now I know that's easy to say, and Seattle do a good job of trying to free him up in different formations, bunch, stack, whatever you can do, move him in motion. They move them around a ton. But Denver's defense is still dynamic. Talked to Vance Joseph yesterday. He said, you know, teams are doing different thing to us this year. They're so afraid of our pass rush because they've been over 60 sacks. The last two years led the league both years. He said, teams are running the ball on us. You know, they're, they're running on early downs. So there'll be second and seven. He said, we got a lot of our sacks the last couple of years on second, seven, second, eight. Well, now they're running. They're running on second and long to try to get to third and four. Just try to get a more of a manageable to avoid those obvious passing situations to not get that, that, that pass rush where they can just turn loose Bonito and company. So I found that interesting. And he said until. You know, right now we're, we're eventually going to, the offense will get going, but until then teams are comfortable. Just plenty, you know, run the ball, run the ball, get it, try to get it to third and three, third and four. And if it doesn't work out, punt. And, and he said, that's what we have faced. So that's why our numbers are down a little bit compared to what they've been in the past. It really makes a lot of sense. Now we'll Seattle employ that same kind of strategy. I obviously, without having their two starting backs back there, it makes it tougher to do. They want to get the ball to 11. They want to get Sam. Darnold. Yeah. Darnold settled in where he's a little bit more, like I said, making quicker decisions where things are more defined for him. But I think this is a low scoring game. I think both defenses are going to play well. I think Denver's defense is just as good without, I know, obviously, Sertan's one of the best in the entire world at covering. Hufanga's awesome and provides so much near the line of scrimmage as a safety. So those are big losses. But as we saw last week, the kid out of Texas, Barron, shot eight. Barron, he can step in and do a nice job. They still have numbers and guys back there. So they don't go from, well, we don't have Sertan. We're going to pull back and not be the same defense that we've been. I think they'll still be aggressive. I think they're going to come up, got to come up with a plan to take away JSN and try to see if they can make somebody else beat them tonight. But it feels like, you know, the weather out there, you know, everywhere else, it seems like it's 90 and humid here in Denver. When I took a look at the weather, it was 90 and humid. When I took Peter for a walk, it was probably high 40s, low 50s, heavy wind. I don't know what it's going to be like by kick. I guess it's supposed to calm down a little bit. But yeah, there's the weather report right there. But I don't think it's going to be a factor in the game. But I do think it's going to be a low scoring game. I think it'll be a challenge. And whoever gets maybe the short field, like what happened last week with the Broncos against the Chargers, it was ugly until they got a stop on that fourth and one. They stopped Herbert. They stopped on a sneak. And all of a sudden, it ignited them. You know, they scored and got a sack and got a fumble, got an interception and just got them going. It might be one of those kind of games. A short field may be the difference in the game because I think both these defenses are badass defenses and they're playing against offenses that are kind of in the middle of still trying to find their identity and still trying to kind of settle into the 26 season. I love the attention to detail that you just have for this game. Every single game that you call. You got one on Sunday. We got one on Sunday night, too. We got college game day on Saturday morning. You got tonight's game. Your brain is fantastic. And I appreciate everything that you give to us every single Thursday on these games. You mentioned Chuck Pagano there and JSN and Vance Joseph. Every week, Chuck Pagano had game wrecker. Hey, here's game wrecker. Everybody does that. He's not the only one. JSN is the game wrecker of all game wreckers for Seattle, though, Chuck. Yeah, 100 percent. And to your point, they're struggling running the ball without those backs, Herbie. And Manuel Wilson, like you said, he's always going to be the game wrecker. But I think Vance and his defense can play a light box. Wherever 11 is, our call is going to be stuff 11. And that's playing the cloud side to him. Get hands on him. Reroute him at the line of scrimmage. No free access off the ball. This guy does not get off the line of scrimmage without getting harassed. You keep a safety over the top of him. And if you're going to play single high man, that free safety is going to lean to his side. And then you'll play, you know, one rat where you have a free linebacker inside for the short intermediate stuff. That kind of thing. He can lean his way. But, yeah, he cannot beat us. If you can beat us with Shahid on a gimmick, on a deep ball, the tight end, you know, Cooper Cup, moving the chip, whatever. But you're not beating us with number 11. Well, everybody has said that has played against Jackson Smith and Jigma for the last couple of years. And him getting into pain is a necessity tonight. So everything you guys are saying, let's go ahead and tighten that, dump that. Make sure Vance Joseph doesn't hear any of that. Let's go to the other side of the ball for the Denver Broncos. AJ has a question for you, Herbie. Yeah, Herbie, what are you expecting from this Broncos offense? Obviously, Bo Nix is the quarterback. Sean Payton recently takes over the play calling duties again from Davis Webb. I guess, have you seen anything different in the last week or so with them? And what's it like? What did it feel like talking to Sean Payton before this game? Like, how are his views going into it? I think they're confident. I think that's been a big story. The fact that Davis Webb called the plays early and that Sean took it over last week. It was kind of more of the same until you got into the fourth quarter. Like I talked about, and they got some turnovers and got a short field. Bo Nix is a bit of a mystery right now. You know, he came out, the media has been all over him here in Denver about, you know, what's going on, what's going on. And he finally just came out and said, listen, you know, guys, I got to get back to just being one, two, and either check it or use my legs. You know, he's been back there kind of uncomfortable, unsure, waiting to kind of see things get open. And as we know, in the NFL, and he's proven he can do it. He can do this, by the way, earlier in his career. He's got to get the ball out earlier. You know, he's been sacked. Actually, only been sacked six times. But he's been harassed because, like I said, the rhythm is just off. They've got the same offensive line back from last year. These guys are a veteran group. They bring in Waddell. And I think all of us thought when Jalen Waddell came over from Miami, oh, my gosh, what a huge weapon to go with Evan Ingram at tight end. And Troy Franklin, who's very capable. Receiver at the slot. And Corton Sutton, who's another big, tall receiver right there for a touchdown. So you got the weapons. J.K. Dobbins, who's coming off of Liz Frank. He's been hurt a bunch throughout his career since he came out of Ohio State, now in his seventh year. So they've got what it takes. I just think it's a matter of, you know, it's tough to do this against Seattle because of the way they defend you. But this could be a game where at any moment with Sean Payton calling plays and with both. Knicks and the pieces that I mentioned around him, they're very capable. Any moment, all of a sudden it clicks. And they're back to being the kind of offense that I think we expect. Here's the problem, guys. They can't get the ball downfield. Like they're one of the worst in the entire league these first five or six weeks of having success downfield. And so it's putting a lot. Defenses, I feel like, are just kind of compressing the line of scrimmage. They're taking away a lot of the intermediate and short throws. And they're not having any success getting behind coverage. If nothing else, I think he'd take some shots tonight to Sutton and Waddell just to let the safeties know, you know, we're not afraid to test you and air it out. I think running the football under center, moving him around, you know, obviously he's very, very capable with his feet. Moving a launch point around, I think, will be big tonight. But let's face it, this Seattle defense, man, they're creating turnovers. They don't give up any big plays. place. They make you drive the football against this defense. They sit back and play zone on almost every play. So it's some kind of form of shell defense. And they're basically telling you our front is good enough to win. And until you prove that we have to get our safeties down, we're going to play back and we're going to dominate up front. And number three might be one of the more entertaining players that you're going to watch, not only in this game, but all year long. Iman Wari out of South Carolina. He was dinged up during hard knocks and during camp, just kind of getting back into his own. And as you guys know, this dude shows up back at safety. He'll play the dime linebacker. He'll put his hand on the ground and play defensive end. And literally, that's not a gimmick. On that play right there, he'll rush the quarterback and bring him down. He's run support. I mean, the ultimate versatile hybrid player on defense. And then you throw Witherspoon, who can play corner. He can play nickel. He can blitz. I mean, those two guys alone are worth the price of admission just to watch those guys play football. So I'm fired up to see them. This kid, Byron Murphy, on the inside. You know, so much attention goes to Leonard Williams and some of the other guys, Ernest Jones, some of the other guys they got. But watch 91 tonight in the interior. Coming off a two-sack game against Sam Fran last week. Incredibly quick. In fact, the game that you were standing on the sideline and calling, you and your crew with McConaughey, they threw a bomb. And I think it was Quinn Ewers threw that bomb that game. Byron Murphy was on that team and was an enforcer on the interior of that defense. Texas Bay and Rose Bowl. No? It was getting that Tuscaloosa. Oh, yeah. That light show right in front of us. Yeah, we were jumping. Yeah, the ball came down like that. Channeling the moon. Yeah, I remember that. Yeah, doing one of these. At the moon. I do remember. That was a good time. Yeah. Well, he was on that team, and he is balling right now. So, like I said, take the under. This is a low-scoring game, in my opinion. I like that. Not a guarantee, but it does feel like that is the case. Eamon Warray, you talked about him and all the positions he plays. A.Q. Shipley came out yesterday after the show and said they run 13-19 away from him last week. Oh, yeah. They're running away from him. Smart. So, if you want to kind of think how. Anahan was thinking about it. Wherever the hell this guy is, we are going to run. Go away. Yeah, we're going to run to the other side. Felt like that's on purpose. I think it was 13 or 14 of 19 runs whenever he was on the field was away from him. So, A.Q. just picked that up after the show. Didn't say it on the show. That would have been a nice little stack to potentially put on the show. Go ahead and send it on the offside. Yeah, there it is. 13 of 19 away from him. So, he's a problem in the run game. Your Thursday night games have been fun. I've been traveling during them, so I've gotten a chance to watch the entirety. Magic seemingly happened. Everything every single Thursday. Go ahead, Con Man. Yeah, Kirk, last week we had you on before Tampa, Dallas, and kind of all of us thought, hey, Dallas is going to get this done against a backup quarterback in Jalen Daniels. That didn't happen. From what you saw and just kind of the aftermath since then, is it kind of a panic over in Dallas? Feels like Tampa, there's some hope now with Baker being out. Looks like he might not play again this weekend. You know, Jalen Daniels running for first downs. Feels like Bo Nix is going to be doing that tonight. But with Dallas themselves, how are you? Kind of viewing them now going forward. They bring in Mike Patton to help with Christian Parker and the defense and everything. What is kind of your takeaway after that game? Still feels like they're going to have to be a team that's going to have to outscore people. You know, I don't know right now defensively, no matter who's in there, that's going to be able to try to get these guys to be able to play as a cohesive unit. They've got some age up front. They've got some injuries. You know, Overshawn's been down. They've been dinged up and not been able to play. They're hoping he and Barnum, the linebacker from Michigan, the rookie together, would give them that second level off-ball linebacker to give them some consistency there. But they've got to get them both on the field together. The back end's been dinged up. They haven't really been able to use their rookie, Caleb Downs, the way they envisioned because they've had so many injuries at safety. So they're banged up. I don't think they're internally, I don't think they're, you know, arguing or fighting or it's not like that. I just think that, man, they've got to get healthy and then they've got to, you know, they've got to be able to help Dak Prescott and this offense out. The offense is going to score on probably anybody they play most weeks. I don't think that's the issue. It's obviously, like last year, they were always in situations where they had to score 34 or 38 or whatever it might be to win the game. And in that division, and especially in the postseason, their defense has got to be able to get healthy and they've just got to be able to come up with stops. So it's hard to evaluate them until they're all hands on deck. You know, I know it's the NFL and it's next man up mentality. We get that, but I would expect them, once they get healthy, to take steps in the right direction. But right now, they're in outscore mode until they can get better on that side of the ball. And a lot of teams that need people to come back from injury, we're quickly getting through the season here. Yeah. Week six is already happening. A third of the way through. Not just in that particular case, but in a lot of different situations. Like, waiting on guys. Got to come back. It's like, this thing might be done by the time old buddy comes. We're staring that down with the Packers a little bit. For the Micah Parsons, he'll be back week six. Turns out he's not going to be back until probably week eight, maybe week seven. We'll see. If he only has one week of practice and plays football, that would be insane. But he is Micah Parsons. Probably not until week eight. We thought it was going to be week six. At the beginning of the season, we were like, he might not even be alive by week six. Now he's returning to a hot Packers team. It's crazy how the NFL can change overnight. Speaking of changing, let's go to college. What an insane year we've had thus far. Massive games across the board. Ty, here's a question for you. Yeah, Herbie, I know we're going to get the first college football rankings here in a few weeks, but because of where I was at, I've been just hunting these things out and kind of just looking at them week by week. And a lot of these projections, as of right now, even though BYU is ranked in the top ten and you guys will be there this weekend, they're not in a bunch of these playoff rankings. Why is it that you think that just does no one respect them? Do they think that Utah is going to be the team that's ultimately going to come out of the Big 12 and that it's going to be one big league? Why do you think that is? Because I was shocked. Literally, half of these and these analysts, and this isn't just random fans putting these out. It's people who work for publications who are kind of in the know. Almost all of them didn't have BYU make it to the playoff, even with where they're at right now. I don't know if that's speculation about forecasting where it's going, but if you're only going by what's happened so far, if you were in that committee room, it's hard not to have BYU up there. Now, things could change Saturday when they take on, by far, their best opponent that they've played. And if they were able to somehow win that game, I think that narrative would change pretty drastically. But, you know, as far as trying to look at what the committee, who hasn't even really gotten together yet, what they're going to do differently from the AP or the coaches poll, I have no idea how people get, you know, that information other than it's maybe their own thoughts. Maybe they don't respect BYU. Maybe they don't respect, you know, what they're going to do the rest of the year. You know, L.J. Martin being out doesn't help them. You know, it's put a lot more on the big quarterback, Bear Bachmeier, back there wearing 47, 230 pounds. I mean, he's become like a tight end or a fullback back there and helping out their run game. He'll need to do that against Notre Dame. But I'll tell you what, man, they are flying around on defense. Their linebacker and safeties play outstanding. They're playing with a ton of confidence. It's a tough place to play in pro. I don't know if people on a national level respect or know how tough it is to go out there and play. It's a big stadium with a passionate fan base. And I think that this is really our first time to see who Notre Dame is. You know, I mean, you can make the same argument about Notre Dame. I have no idea who Notre Dame is right now. Who's Notre Dame played that makes me feel like we know who they are. I think this will be their greatest test. I picked them preseason to win the national championship. If we were doing that again, you know, right now trying to do, you know, the picks. I don't know. I don't know enough about who they are. I love the quarterback as we're looking at him right there. They've, you know, kind of bounced around in the in the backfield trying to find the replacement for two first round draft picks that they lost to the NFL. So I think this will be a good test for them offensively to have to deal with that crowd noise and deal with some adversity. Really, I think we're going to start to kind of see the DNA of a. I think a very motive reason I picked Notre Dame to win it all got left out of the playoff. A lot of that same players and leaders were on that team or back this year. And I just thought that they approached this year kind of like Georgia with a bit of a chip on their shoulder. And so I'm excited to see both these teams play. But to answer your question, man, I have no idea why people would have a poll without BYU up in the top 10. Other than maybe they're looking at the rest of the year and assuming they're going to lose, you know, two or three games. And maybe be out. It's the only thing I can think of. We'll talk to Marcus Freeman tomorrow on this particular program about his team and talking about not knowing him well. We think Wisconsin might be a good football team this year. Much better than they had been in the past. They beat him by like 50. Notre Dame has won 16 consecutive games all by double digits. Damn. The longest streak of its kind is Miami's 17 gamer from 2000-2001. Herbie was probably on the call for all of them. Man, those are some great Miami teams, boys. I bet they were. A.J. played him. A.J. played him as a true footballer. freshman in '02, he could tell you about the roster I think that 0-2 team that Ohio State and Miami had, when the dust settled, I think every starter on both teams was in the NFL at some point. I mean, that was, but the buildup, AJ, of the game and the reason I picked Ohio State to win that game was the lack of respect going into that game. Because remember, in an 0-1, Ed Reed and Miami beat Nebraska by 100 at the Rose Bowl for the national title. So they come back in 0-2 with a very similar roster, Sean Taylor and the boys, and here they are playing Ohio State. And it's like, oh, okay, last year it was Nebraska, this year it's Ohio State. I can't remember if they were 14, 18, 20-point favorites, but Ohio State, I think, felt very disrespected. And AJ was a young freshman on the field out there with Willis McGahee, Ken Dorsey, Andre Johnson, I think. Santana Moss might have been graduated by then, but it was just an embarrassment of riches on that Miami team. And the Buckeyes got it into overtime and ended up winning that game. That was AJ's introduction into college football. Bogus call, not to interrupt, bogus call in the end zone. You know it's right. That guy didn't touch it. All right, now you're going to make me pull a jump card on you. Phillip Buchanan. Phillip Buchanan on the corner on Jenkins. But I'm going to have to pull a trump card out. You're making me pull a trump card. And I love you, coach. There was a third down. It was a third down play that a guy by the name of Chris Gamble caught inbounds that was called out of bounds. That Ohio State, therefore, had to punt the ball to Roscoe Parrish, who went about 80 yards. There's like a minute and a half, two minutes left in the game. Ohio State's dominating. It's a first down. The game's over. Ohio State will be able to. Kill the clock. But instead, they call him out of bounds, one foot down. Replay showed it. This will be four instant replay. They punt the ball to Roscoe Parrish, and he returns it like 70, 80 yards, puts him in field goal range. They kick a game-tying field goal to get an end to overtime for then the Michael Jenkins call in the end zone to happen. So if the proper call would have been made, Gambles inbounds first down. Game, set, match. Game's over. Am I right, AJ? We're going to set hot. We've never been in a game like that before. Right, right. We were 18-point dogs. Victory formation. AJ was in the game. I think we should let him. No, I'm just saying, like, I understand people getting upset about the call or whatever. The call was, they made the right call on the field, but we were like 18-point dogs. We should have never even been close to that game. We should never let us be in that, that deep into the game. If you had an argument. Maybe you're just retelling a story that isn't accurate, Chuck Pagano. And maybe you're a little town crier back there, gumpy, going, yeah, tell him, tell him. He doesn't remember that shit either. Checkmate, Charlie. It was a big nothing. Charlie's was a big nothing. What murder? What murder? He didn't kill nobody. That's what you're saying about the, I mean, I like that Herbie, non-Ohio State Buckeye quarterback graduate, right? No, no. Different guy. Not at all. Saying, hey, I had to pick Ohio State there just because of the amount of disrespect. I like that out of you. I always like the follow-up of. I hear you, Miami. And I think he likes Miami more than most people. I would say Herbie. I love Miami. Yeah, I would say the way he talks about Miami is in a very positive fashion. You go back to that game right there. I did not hear. He was sitting on you waiting to say, what about that pass interference? Oh, funny. I hear that a lot from you Miami people. He baited you. He masturbated you right in there. I did. You fool. I wish. How come, how come Gump and the boys, Foxy, they're not pulling up the instant replay on the gamble? Well, maybe it doesn't exist. Nobody can find it. It doesn't exist. Bullshit. It doesn't exist. It does exist because it happened. Hold on. Let me tell you, Herbie. You saw it pop up on the screen while you were talking about it. And what it was was not the right play. And you hear Bruce go, I got it. I got it. And then you hear Bruce go, that's not it. No shit. That's exactly what I said. Hey, Bruce, it's in the fourth quarter right before the punt. Right before the punt, a third down conversion by Chris Gamble, who was a two-point. Two-way player for Ohio State. Played corner. There's the punt return. Keep going back. That's the punt return. It set up the game-tying field goal. Go back to that. Oh, oh, oh, oh, oh, oh, oh, oh. Oh, he grabbed it. Oh, there's a hold. There's a hold. Another hold. Leonard Meyer grabbed him twice. First down. Leonard Meyer. I don't know if he's in there. He's out of bounds. He's in the white there. There was a replay before that, yeah. There was a replay. Great pressure on the quarterback by Miami. Craig Krenzel, two hands on the ball. A little late hit. Throws him into the ground. Defensive hold in here. You said a foot down. You said a foot down, didn't you, Herbie? I don't see a foot. He's definitely in. His foot is down. You guys aren't finding the damn replay. Gumpy's been a Miami fan for three weeks. This is your broadcast, Herbie. We're running it right now. This is Keith Jackson and Dan Fouts. Herbie's on the sidelines here. Should have been delayed. I'm on the sidelines cheering with Chris Carter, Keith Byers. I don't know. Eddie George. That's good on Sunday. We all know football. This, to me, is incomplete. I didn't see a freaking flag. But hold water for the refs, huh? Jack, what else is new? I'm telling you guys, his foot. I can't believe they're not showing the replay. I showed his foot down. Who's they? This is you. This is literally you and the lads. It's Dan Fouts and Keith Jackson. Here's a replay. This is a replay right here. Hold. Hold. All right, pause it. That's a catch. Oh, yeah. Right foot down. It's a catch. He didn't have control. He didn't survive the ground. Somebody's going to email you a still shot. Or text you a, or what is it, tweet a still shot of his foot down. Someone will send it to you. Okay, I can't wait to see it. I got clipped right here, too. I got clipped. Oh, sorry about that. Make a tackle. AJ. Yeah, sorry about the clip. AJ got clipped. Another missed call. Potter making a tackle. He's a good player. I like that. Very elusive player. Yeah, Andy Groom is jacked. He is not a punter. He's a monster. Break down and make a hit, Hawk. Hawk, oh. Here we go. Oh, oh, oh. I didn't get hit right in the back. Go, Rothko. Oh, I didn't get clipped. Go back. It gets clipped by number 80. Clear as day. Oh, I know. Jesus. No, we're not even talking about that. We're not even talking about the clips. You guys got to. Yeah, you're talking to me. Chuck, you're out here cheating. Chuck, it's funny how all these plays kind of just disappear from your mind, and the only thing you remember is a blatant pass interference. AJ pushed in the back. We got pushed in the back on a return team. That's a 10-yard spot foul. Move it back. That's way back. They're going to have to go 80 from that. Way back. We could hit the film for the entire game. We could circle back with all the plays. Off that 0-3 or 0-4. Yeah. 0-4, to your point about the NFL players, I think it was 0-2, 0-3, six first-round draft picks for the University of Miami. First round. There was probably 18 off that squad. There were six in the first round. And was The Rock on that team, too? No, that was 0-4. He left in 0-4. No, he's gone. Shockey? He looks so young. Shockey was there, yeah. Eric Winston was a young freshman tight end at the time. Kevin Winslow. Makes you appreciate how good the refs are now. I mean, we just watched back-to-back plays, game-deciding plays. Dan Muir, that they missed four calls. Vilma, Williams, two linebackers, both linebackers, tight end, offensive line, Vernon Carey. I mean, it was over and over. I will say this. I'm always asked, who's the best college football team I've ever seen? And the Nebraska teams in the mid-'90s get in that discussion. The Penn State team that they had in 94 with Kajana Carter and Kerry Collins and that group, Bobby Ingram. But I think the 0-1 Miami team was the best team that I ever saw. Like, just top to bottom. Roster, the best team. I mean, you had young Sean Taylor. You had Antrell Roll. Willis McGahee. Clinton Portis. I think Frank Gore might have been on that team. Yeah, Clinton Portis was on that team, too. It was crazy. Crazy. Yeah, a lot of talent down there. Feels like Cristobal has South Florida back to being Miami Hurricane World and high school recruits going through there. Notre Dame double-digit dubs that long is obviously an incredible feat. If they're able to go out to BYU and get the job done. Game day going there for the first time in 17 years. You see they're already in line, Herbie. No! Really? Started Tuesday night. Tuesday night they started in line. Oh, my God. It's going to be, oh, my God, this is crazy. This is going to be such, it's going to be a great scene out there. Passionate fan base. Fired up. They're believing this is the year that they're going to be able to shock the world. Big 12 is wide open. This isn't a conference game. This is a chance for them to show not only Notre Dame, but show the country that the Big 12 plays great football. And for those of you that are college football fans, a lot of people in preseason said November 7th is the greatest weekend of college football. I'm telling you, the way games have gone these first five or six weeks, this weekend, if you've got a girlfriend or a wife that makes you to be involved in activities on Saturday or you've got a chore list, this is one you're going to have to either get it done early or pass on. Because look at the slate of games. You sit your ass down. You sit your ass down on your favorite chair at 9 a.m. Eastern. You watch college game day for three hours. And then you just sit there comatose until 2 in the morning. I mean, you're not moving. You're just bouncing. You're getting a couple TVs. You're clicking. You're moving. You're bouncing from game to game. The noon hour alone is insane. Indiana, Ohio State, Texas, Florida, Mississippi State, LSU. That's just the noon hour. And that's just warming you up before we get to the games at 3.30. And that's just the noon hour. and then the later games at 7:30. So awesome day at college football. ball coming up Saturday. Yeah, we can't wait to dive into all of it. 9 a.m. Eastern in Provo. You mentioned one of those games. It's a noon game because it is a Fox game and it is a Big Ten game. The Big Ten game. Certainly could have been there for game day. Tone has the last question for you. Yeah, big one down in Bloomington with the Buckeyes come to town. A rematch of the Big Ten championship last year. What are your thoughts on this one, Herbie? Obviously, the teams are similar. New quarterback in Hoover for IU, but other than that, there's a lot of the same pieces from last year, especially the coordinators for IU and obviously coordinator change for Ohio State, but how do you feel this one out? It doesn't feel like the same IU team as last year, but they also haven't had to be tested really yet. Yeah. Again, it's really hard to know at this point who Indiana is. I know that everybody's comparing Hoover to Mendoza. That's just kind of part of the deal because of the success that they had last year. It's a team that beat Ohio State in Indianapolis and Indiana has not forgotten that. It created a ton of confidence and belief for their run to the national title after they beat Ohio State. Ohio State hasn't forgotten that. You mentioned the coordinators. I think the combination of Shanahan on IU's offense and Brian Haynes on their defense is as good of a combination as there is in the sport. I also think with Arthur Smith coming in, what he's been able to do with Jeremiah Smith, getting him the ball every single week and what they obviously do with Matt Patricia on defense, that's, I mean, this is a battle of great coaching on both sides of the football. It's going to be an outstanding matchup. If you're going to give a nod, I think you would give a nod to the line of scrimmage to Indiana because of the way they can move around and create a lot of confusion with that defensive line incredibly quick. I think that'll be a challenge for Ohio State's offensive line to see how they deal with that. But I think you'd have to give the skill advantage to Ohio State. As long as number four is healthy in the scarlet and gray, I mean, he's not only one of the best, the best that's ever played for Ohio State, I'm starting to think he's maybe one of the best that's ever played college football. I mean, he does things every single week where you just, how about his competitive spirit? Here's a dude that could be cruising, just like I'm a top pick overall in the draft. Just watch the knees. I'm just here to survive. I'm not trying to get hurt. This guy's playing the opposite. He's running through people, over people, around people. He's an impressive guy. We got a taste of Ohio State down in Austin. I think they resent and regret how the fourth quarter went. A chance to avenge that coming up Saturday. See how they play. But Indiana at home will be tough to beat. But I think Ohio State's got a lot of skill that'll be tough to keep kind of wrapped up for four quarters. How many straight has Indiana won? 22. 22 straight. The record's what, 23? I think Ohio State had it. Yeah, I believe you're right. 23 straight. I think Saban said he won 19 twice. Two different times. And he said we needed to lose. I wonder how Cignetti actually feels about this game. Now, obviously you want to win every single game. But when you're winning and winning and winning, there's some things that kind of get left behind. So I don't think a loss kills either of these teams. Ohio State having two losses this early would be crazy, but they could still kind of clean up down the stretch. And if you're talking about a line of scrimmage game, which Cignetti's going to want it to be there in Bloomington, the explosive run rate this season, Indiana 20.1% of their runs go. Ohio State 10.5%, which is low, but they have Jeremiah Smith outside. And then Charlie Becker, wide receiver for Indiana. He's on pace to have 18 or 19 touchdowns as well. So you're talking about two potential top 10 wide receivers playing in this game, and Jeremiah Smith, three. Maybe with Nick Marsh. Could be three. Nick Marsh is also a great player. Exploding, especially with the success that there's been. So it could be explosive. It could be ground and pond. It's going to be telling for the rest of the Big Ten as we are out in Provo. Good luck tonight, Herbie. We love you, brother. Hey! Hey! Hey! Hey! Hey! Hey! Hey! Altitude. He's getting lazy. Yeah, he's tired. He's on a walk up. Mountain time. He just took a walk, dropped a couple deuces. He's tired now. That's Peter Football, baby. That's Kirk Carpstreet. We continue digitally. Big Day with Big Shrags is next. Goodbye! That was a long last second and a half. You got it. Yep. I know I had enough breath. Ohio State, Indiana. You a little bit nervous going into Bloomington, AJ? Two losses this early. Can't slip up down the stretch at all. Three loss in Big Ten with how everything's going. I don't think we'll be viewed favorably in a 12-team playoff. So need to get a dub, I think. Is that your thoughts with Ohio State? Yeah, I think so. I mean, obviously, Ohio State has a lot more to lose with, you know, if they do lose this game, you know, going having two losses early in the year would be a tough thing to figure out. But Indiana, I think at the same time, they know, like, this is a huge game. They want to win. But if you do lose, that's the part of college football now. Like, everything is still out in front of you. You're still okay. Yeah, and with the 2014 playoff, as soon as maybe next year is what Pete Thamel was saying, a lot of this changes. A lot of this changes. There are pros and cons to it all. Seems inevitable, so we just have to deal with the reality of it. Chuck, there we go. Yeah. 18 years college football coach. Are you disgusted by what's happening right now? I mean, I would say that moving to the BCS system was a smack in the face of college football. I wasn't around whenever that decision was made, but the NCAA basically just subleased their own championship to somebody else to do it, and then there was some scoring system, some computer that would decide what it was and how it was. There was only two teams that were even allowed to be in part of it. Then it moves to four teams after a long time. Four teams a long time. Then for a long time, it moves to 12 teams. Now it's getting to 24 teams. How do you feel as an old guard college football guy? Well, I was on a team that got screwed. Our 2000 team at Miami. They ended up taking Florida State and Oklahoma that year, and we played Florida in the Sugar Bowl and beat them and finished 11-1. We lost our first game of the year to Washington. Ken Dorsey was a rookie quarterback at the time. Then we ran the table, and then they didn't lose another game. Larry Coker won the national championship against Nebraska and then didn't lose another game and then lost to Ohio State, so that streak was huge, but to your question, I'm all for it because it was so hard because you lose one game back then. Try to keep your players motivated and keep them practicing hard and playing hard because at those places, all you talked about was winning a national championship, and we had the team to do it. You lose one game, you're virtually out of the conversation. I love 12-24. It keeps hope in a lot of fan bases like you talked about, so I'm all for it. He's a coach, so he's going to speak for the coaches. You make the playoffs, hard to fire. Now we've got double the amount of teams that are making the playoffs, not going to be able to fire a lot of these coaches. I don't think that's going to be a problem. People are like, yeah. Oh, listen, he's saying coaches are still going to get fired. It'll turn to more of an NFL thing where it'll be like, oh yeah, this coach has made the playoffs every year, but they have not won a playoff game, so it's time. 100%. Marty Schottenheimer went 14-3 with the San Diego Chargers, and they ran him because he lost a playoff game. Can you imagine winning 14 games and getting let go? What if you had a winning season for 18 straight years and couldn't win a playoff game? They'll run you out of town. We all know who he signed up for. You do, and you're going to stick up for those guys any time you get. Breaking news at this exact time. ESPN has purchased the rights to the expanded playoff. That will go through 2031, and the new format of 2014 playoff will begin in 2027. So CFP made the decision that they were going to go to 24. That is commissioners, that is athletic directors, that is I think some coaches, some ex-coaches. They go from 12 to 24 pretty quickly here. 24 had a lot of support from the Big Ten, and from all the other conferences and commissioners. Greg Sankey, just a couple days ago at the SEC Basketball Media Day, said after talking to his members, there is much more of an openness to going to a 2014 playoff, but there's going to have to be some scheduling stuff that we figure out with the other conferences. We're playing nine conference games, plus one more big game. Other conferences only have an eight-conference schedule. That needs to at least be something like we have, so that there's not padding the games. We want bigger games in this entire thing. Also, championship weekend, we have to figure out what the hell that's going to be. Are we just eliminating that? Feels like that's probably what the SEC is going to have to give up, even though the SEC championship has been gigantic. No announcement has been made on that. But then ESPN, because they had the rights to the current college football playoff at 12 teams, had the first right to negotiation for this. So I think a lot of people think because ESPN's got the rights or been in negotiation for the rights, it's them saying, we won 24 teams, we won 24 teams. It's CFP saying, we're going to 24 teams. Do you want the rights if we do that? Funny little thing they can do. If CFP could just go from 12 to 24 and then ESPN has to pay up, what stops them from going actually 50? We got 100 teams. It's a massive amount of money that ESPN is paying to them for this entire thing so they can reserve the rights. ESPN continues to showcase that they are financially very much invested in college football and in furthering education in these schools, how much money they give to different conferences, how much money they give to different games, how much money they dive into it all. Not saying other networks don't, but I think that gets lost in the conversation about how much ESPN is investing in this sport when everybody says they're ruining it. AJ, there's going to be people saying that this is going to ruin college football. There's people that said that whenever it went to 12. I assume there's people that said that when it went to 4. I assume any change in college football to either its pregame show or to its actual rules, there's always gonna be people pissed off about it. But this is now reality, it appears. And I guess we just have to live with it, Age. Yeah, of course we have to live with it. It's happening. That's what college football is going to be. And it's not going to ruin college football. I don't think it's even really going to. We're so worried that the regular season doesn't mean anything anymore. Like, it definitely still means something. We know that. We have these huge games coming up this weekend. Even when you go to 24, like, the competition is still there. And I hope we will open coaches and, you know, schools up to scheduling those big-time games that we love to see throughout the year because we know, okay, one loss, two loss, that's not going to derail your hopes at a national championship. I appreciate you, AJ, speaking for the Columbus people because that's going to be the narrative coming out of there, I assume. The old-school college football people, I think they said some of the stuff we were saying yesterday was pathetic, how we went to bat for it. It's like there's pros and cons here for both sides. And ESPN. ESPN had to make a decision here. Very quickly. I think pretty quickly. That's the most shocking thing is that the turnaround on this is, and then next year it's, hey, we're at 24. But in terms of, like, what are you going to argue against? It's a fucking done deal. Like, this is happening. So either get on board or what are you going to not watch college football next year? Like, this is how it's going to be. That is the worry because there have been things in the past that have pissed off a group of people so much. They just stopped watching. But the product of college football is so good right now. There's so many good teams. There used to be great teams and then shite teams and then a couple of surprise teams. Now there's a couple of great teams. They don't even really know yet. A bunch of good teams and then still a slew of surprise teams. Quality of ball feels good. So you would hope that that will continue to carry. But whenever you start adjusting things that are so heavily rooted in tradition and pageantry and how it's always been, there is a little bit of rattle in the cage. You never know what's on the other. I agree with you that. And yeah, it's adjustment and people don't like changes and stuff like that. But with what you just said about how NIL works right now, like this would not have worked 10 years ago because there was four teams in the sport. It was Georgia, Alabama, Clemson, Ohio State, and they dominated every single year. So a 2014 playoff when there's four teams that were going to win it, no matter what, every single year would have been absolutely stupid. But it has evened out so much now with NIL because all the best players, if they're not playing or if they're at a lower level, which sucks for the lower level teams or whatever, but it's making all of the top 25 teams so much better. So when nine has to play 24 in the playoffs, like it's not, it's, it could be a blowout. Sure. We saw it last year, but that was because it was a G six teams versus versus power five teams or whatever, but it's probably not good. Like last year, I think I've been Bama versus, I can't remember who 24 would have been, but it was like an Iowa or something like that. Like that, that Bama probably wouldn't have been a blowout. So I still think in this, in this day and era, the 24 actually works perfect time to get into college football. If you're not in college football, your team has a chance to make the day next year, no matter what happens, con man. Yeah. And what was it last year? Indian is the only team to win off the buy. Like to Tony's point about the top four, like, Hey, those top four teams the last two years haven't really won. And granted two years ago, like Boise state was the kind of non power for power five team that ended up getting the four seat and getting a buy, but all those top teams lost. It sucks. The conference final, like that championship, weekend is awesome. And that kind of dwindling in relevance does suck. Absolutely. But at the same time to what AJ said, like every single week, we're going to have these insanely massive games that we're having this year that has made this season better than any other season. And also at the same time to like, could you imagine if a 15 seed went on to win it? Like last year, if Notre Dame was the 13 seed or the 14 seat, and then made it all the way to, you know, the final four of the semis or the final, like, that would have been unbelievable. So like the idea that to Tony's point, like those top four top eight, even now that that isn't like kind of relevant to who's going to end up in the final, which is kind of the best part of college football. And hopefully this is the norm. What was Miami last year? 10. Yeah. They were the last one to sneak in. Cause there was an automatic bid. Then it was a championship bids. They were the one that was being contemplated about Notre Dame or Miami. Miami did not win the ACC last year. No, they've never won the ACC. Do the Miami people know that? I don't know. Oh yeah. You don't. I'm going to let you know. You don't. We do. No, you don't. That ends this year. I had better. Or that last year, Chuck. Chuck, last year, your team made it to the national championship and they couldn't beat Duke in the ACC. So maybe that's just a never thing for Miami because you got bigger fish to fry down there in South. That's why if you have a hiccup and you have one of those games and you go to this format, 12, 2014, your season isn't over. You don't have to win the conference because a lot of times you go to a conference championship game, you get beaten that game. You lose a couple of players to injury, then the bowl game, the playoff, everything else is screwed. You might not even make the playoff. Now you've got a chance. We talked about this last year. We talked about this yesterday. If this is going to add more games on campus. Sign us up. Let's go. Yeah, everyone's on board with that, wouldn't they be? Yeah, a lot of money coming to your campus, but also the thing that is the separator of college football versus every other sport that we have is the environment. Not that the Mercedes-Benz stadium wasn't packed out with Indiana people in the first play pick six, creating the loudest I've ever heard in a stadium, but on campus, the state all year, they've been practicing this shit for centuries. They've been practicing this shit that they're able to do on the biggest stage for the most important game with real shit on the line. I like the showcasing of the stadium. The atmosphere is the environments, the culture for these playoff games. If we're getting another round of that, I think that's great news. You would also hope they kind of redo the schedule in December. Like if they do the conference title game and Army Navy and then start the college football playoff instead of having that massive two, three week lull like that would also benefit it greatly if they had the national championship instead of January 21st or whenever it was last year and this upcoming year. I think it's even later. If they were to try and do it, you know, whether it's New Year's Day or the first week of January to like condense that era a little bit, that would benefit them a ton as well. They are. You remind me they are probably going to have to change Army Navy, which is going to piss people off because because they are now in the American. They have a chance to win the American. They have a chance to get an at-large or whatever to be the highest ranked G-16 to get in. So, yeah, they're probably going to change that standalone week in there, which will piss people off. But I think it's an executive order right now, right? I believe so. Yeah. And they're going to try to see if in the fine detail, is that an executive window or is that the whole day? Is it just a window? The afternoon? Can we celebrate? No? The whole day? Move that to week zero. Have that be the only week zero game. Hey, can we FaceTime Pete Thamel right now? See what he is. He might not answer because he might be trying to get to the bottom of this. Oh, uproar, Pat. Everybody. I'm under it right now. This is going to kind of. Signal flares. Signal flares. Bowl season is officially dead. So, people will be pissed about that. Bowl has to be at the beginning of the season. Bowls have to be at the beginning of the season. D-Butt said it. The first person I heard say it was D-Butt. D-Butt said he saw it from somebody else. We still don't know who created that. Bowl season at the beginning of the season. Based off of last year's results? Maybe. Or just make them gigantic games. That's what, yeah. Make the Rose Bowl a Big Ten, whatever, West Coast game like it usually is. Have it at the beginning. Pop-Tart Bowl. Yeah. And utilize the bowl games for the rankings going into the season. So, now you have another big game. Plus the 9 plus 1 that's happening during the regular season. It's like, have Army-Navy be a part of that as well. Maybe that's what, like, week zero is. It's like a celebratory weekend or an opening kickoff weekend. And then you get into the season after that. Good thing there's a governing body that will figure this out. People will get to the bottom of it. I think it's wild that CFP is just like, yeah, 24 games. Or 24 teams. You want to pay for that? $400, $500 million? $600 million? $750 million? It's got to be so much money. Oh, you don't? Okay, we'll go to CBS. Okay, Fox definitely wants this. They're lined up. Do you want this? Man. Because couldn't they technically go in there if they're dire straits, let's say? 28 teams? Yeah. Where's it stop? Some play-in games, maybe? JMU-Iowa. A couple bubble. Tuesday, Wednesday night play-in games. We do little bubble games, right? ESPN, huh? Bubble games? $150, $250, $300 million? What do you. Oh, you don't want it. Okay. Fox said a billion. So, we're. We're giving you guys a good deal, so. I mean, that's it, isn't he? Yeah. Oh. Hey. Yep. It's a cold world. Dress warm. Economics, baby. That is economics. Let's get to a break. On the other side, we'll make our picks. Chuck, you better fucking get it right. No kidding. You know what you also haven't done? Yeah. Made a throw. Hasn't even been close. It looks good today. Today's the day. Made two before the program. Maybe that's the problem. We got something that makes us say, what the chuck? It's you and your lack of success. And all of these things. Today, in your brand new flannel, though. AJ, what do you think of the brand new flannel? I love it. When I first saw it pop on, I almost ran down and got one of my nicest flannels, but I couldn't really find anything that matched. Damn. I wish you would have got a nice neon flannel. Maybe tomorrow. Maybe tomorrow. I walked in this morning. A lot going on at house. I walk in this morning, and Chuck's sitting where he's sitting. I turn, I see him. Man, that feels good. I needed that. this is a good thing I said only one game this year he did not get in the paint and then I loved what Herbie why am I going to this guy for this? did you hear him in the first second? oh, I'm sorry would you like me to be negative? well, you were second hour you said, I think I like this it was like you were selling yourself in real time I'm worried now fuck I am worried well, you should be worried it's plus 300 those don't hit very often but I'm trying to be positive here and I'm done with it okay alright, so are you positive about this one or no? very okay I misread the situation blocked and loaded it's already you didn't misread the situation he misread the situation and then you just fell I misread it earlier I misread it earlier I heard James Moore in a game and I said, whoa I don't want to hear about that, Tony so you heard that right now earlier in the show I heard something and I was like oh, no Tony doesn't actually believe in this one what I said was he ran for 10 yards the last two games but then Herbie came on and said, Bo said this week he needs to hit that back foot and either get it and either get rid of the ball or take off and run so you're more in yeah than you've ever been yeah he might have 100 yards rushing let's win maybe let's win he just got an ankle surgery that froze it's a frozen deal how's he going to run? what are you talking about? shut the fuck up what the hell are you talking about? shut the fuck up hey his ankle's frozen? can I ask you something? it's a frozen deal what does that mean? he's walking out there with he's missing bones in there they got ligaments fuck you fuckin' a bone get out they got ligaments all tied down AJ's so damn tight they cinched that up this guy's one in four yeah he's got a fucking dick on his foot out there yeah, okay and listen if frozen Bo Nix goes out there and just starts cooking we will be very excited that's 37-year football coach Chuck McGonagall yeah, Charlie Tony, I'm happy to hear you're on board super Chuck, I don't need to hear any of this now, what I do need to hear is is out of week five had a lot of moments with a lot of people saying what the hell's going on here I need to know what happened in NFL week five that made you say what the Chuck I think we know one of them a Hall of Famer potentially well let's take a look at some of these, Pat yeah, let's do that let's take a look yeah hell yeah we had some clock management stuff did we? going on and Pat you remember the team meetings like most of this stuff is covered in OTAs the off-season training camp you spend the lion's share of your time working on situations, right? mock situations you remember how we had those green boxes on the practice plan we'd have mock situations we'd say, okay hey, two minute drill got a minute thirty-five you got one time out you're down a touchdown you know, you need a field goal and we work them over and over and over again I know Washington I know no, you need a touchdown or in other situations you need a field goal he just didn't say that in other situations I'm tired of the smart ass I'm tired of the smart ass I agree, Chuck shut him down, Chuck there's a lot of talk foolery in here yep you know there's a lot of that you want the Chuck, man yeah but you did there was a big emphasis on the situation you work on these things and I heard Dan Quinn talk about ozone so I knew they had the situation talk through the headset with those guys it just didn't didn't get executed and hand the ball off with 50 you know, on first down and then let this thing run down inside of, you know 12 seconds by the time you get you got motion you had a you had a personnel change you're running deep routes that's the only thing watching us that makes me not go what the Chuck is like, okay maybe he did say ozone which means out of bounds or end zone that's what ozone means out of bounds or end zone okay, so that we have time to get a you know, to get the kickoff so I'm sure this had everybody in the commander's organization especially Magic Johnson going what the Chuck that is a good Magic Johnson tweet whenever we see it him just pointing out exactly what took place and how either thrilled or upset he is about it especially teams that he has that do you think I don't know yet I started to kind of waffle a little bit I thought maybe there was a call ozone and Jaden Daniels either got tripped up didn't do it and then panicked and had this situation happen and wide receivers could have never expected that this would be the outcome of this play so maybe they were a little bit slow to get back or whatever the case is my original thoughts which I still think could be real is they thought another quarter was coming do you think that was the case do we think absolutely not I would certainly like no absolutely not so you think it was just a panic a situation because when the rules come out you get one it's ten minutes you got two times here's the other thing you want to know what's also shocking about this situation how many timeouts do you get extra timeouts in overtime each team gets two if you look down there how many timeouts does Washington have nobody talked about this so I went back and looked at the tape right the first one Giants started with the ball right they got a chance to win this Scataboo ends up fumbling the ball right what the chuck yeah could have been what the chuck why are we running it again I understand Harbs his kicker just missed two field goals Zaveda whatever his name is right so he's thinking shit I got to get this thing as close as possible well what happens is they're on defense second and whatever on that first drive, and the defense is confused sometimes. So they had to burn a timeout, the first one. That's with nine minutes and 30 seconds left in the fifth quarter. And then the fumble happens. They get the ball back, and then they've got to burn one on offense because his head setter, he can't hear Daniels. So they burn another one at 6.30. So if this situation, like you think back to the fake punt back in the day, right? Like we had a timeout. Why I just didn't bang a timeout right there when I saw a guy get under center and I saw a Colt come. You know, that's all on me, right? I could have just, boom. We weren't supposed to take a late game, though. Yes, I know. Yeah, we weren't. I know. But I'm going to dive on the sword like all the head coaches dive on it, right? You have seen this thing going awry. You could at least, if you had the timeout, you could have called timeout. So there was a lot of things that got – the kids should know. The players should know. The offensive line, you've got veterans over here saying, hey, whatever. Watching it again, it doesn't look like Jaden, like genuinely. I don't think he is. Well, they're laying on the ground, to your point. Nobody's – there's no sense of urgency. Look where Jaden Daniels looks after he goes down. He looks to the giant sideline to see where he is, and then he looks back at the commander's sideline. Then he starts getting up. Look at the commander's sideline. The sideline knows for sure. I just don't – I don't know. It's hard for me to really buy in on any theory because of how sold I was that they thought there was a sixth quarter coming, and it didn't work. It didn't really matter that this didn't happen because I haven't seen anything that has debunked my eyes yet on that. Just the lack – just with that amount of time left on the clock in anything, let's say you're just having fun at your house, and somebody's like 10, 9, there is – Yeah, urgency. Natural urgency. In an NFC East rivalry game, 10, 9, somebody is going to have some sort of urgency. You would think just naturally in their soul it would happen to some position. It felt like there was none. Now, the theory about that was supposed to be Ozone, and everybody else on the field didn't know that Jaden Daniels just got tackled, so maybe the wide receivers didn't see that this all took place. They thought to themselves, no way did that actually happen. So they were all gobsmacked by the outcome of the play, which is why there was no urgency until they were seemingly told to have urgency. I don't – I just don't know, man. That is a big time. What the Chuck! You see them on Monday night against the 49ers. And they rally around all of this. Everybody's going to show that clip, right? Oh, yeah. This week, Saturday morning, we would go in, right? Oh, yeah. Talk about the refs, who the officials are, what they like to call, what they don't call, what we think you can get away with, and we show all these clips. Here's the first kickoff return, opening kick. Four. Philadelphia versus Jacksonville over in London. Stop right there. So what the return was, sideline return, Pat. I don't know if you looked at this close. All right, they're doubling the four. They're going to kick out one, two, and three to the short side and seal the back side. Got it. And let the furthest guy go, right? And let the returner beat him. So this goes for a touchdown. They end up calling a foul on this. Okay. And if you go back and you look at the foul, he got tripped up over a guy. He pulls him down. You know how offensive linemen will pull down a pass rusher? Yep. And they'll call that. I think they got confused here. Right there, a guy gets dumped right on the top of the numbers there at the 32-yard line. Anyway, it gets called back. Great return. So then we fast forward. To the end of the game, right? Eight seconds left, no timeouts. Eight seconds, no timeouts. And Sirianni, he came out and said, you know what? I messed this thing up. Should have just kicked this thing out of bounds. Should have just kicked it out of the end zone. Get the ball at the 35-yard line or you get the ball at the 40-yard line, all you have to fend is the boundary. So we had what we call fence. All right? So you put guys on the boundary. You have a couple deep safeties. They have to throw it inside or throw it away or try, you know, lateral play, the rugby play, whatever, right? But we decide to go ahead and kick it deep. And so we got this, you know, stop perfectly. So they ran the exact same return. They just kicked it to the left. They just ran it to the left. They're right. So what'd they do? They doubled the four. They kicked out one, two, and three. One-on-one with the kicker. And so I'm – and I know these special teams guys. I know Joe P's up there, Panon's, my battalion, Paisan. I know they – after this first one, you say, okay, did we get this thing chalked up? Did we talk – you know how we talk through all these things, right? Hey, this is what we're going to do on this. We're not going to run straight in this double team. I want you to go outside. Let's spin this guy and get a guy free on the ball. Didn't execute it. Didn't get the coach – you know, the thing – you know, players didn't listen to the coaches. And then we get this thing. And this got Mr. Lurie and Howie Roseman saying, What the Chuck? It is a little adjustment that should have been made in game. I think kick, too. Not best. Jake Elliott I have a lot of respect for. I was juggling with him before the game on Monday Night Football when we were there for the Chicago Bears-Philadelphia Eagles. I'm a huge fan of his. But I think he was trying to either hit a dirty ball that gets on the ground and went too far, so it got caught at the eight or the nine instead of, like, the one-yard line. Maybe it was a little bit shorter. So it's Murphy's law here. Full speed running ahead. Number two there jumps outside to his left when he probably should have went to the right. And the double team hits like it did on the first kickoff, exactly the same way, just mirrored to the other side. And boom, this should be a touchdown with the way the Jacksonville Jaguars are viewing it. The fact that he got tackled, I think they're probably surprised by, first of all. But every kickoff is like this. All you need is one person to just snoop. Just a little bit. Get a little snoopy. Especially because with the way the lineup is dead stopped, you're only attacking, like, four guys. With the full speed run, you can get nine, eight guys to a side. So then there's levels of this. Everybody's at one level. So if you break through that first level, which is only three, four guys you've got to manage, I mean, it's a kicker in the end zone is all you're looking for. It's a dangerous game. It's a dangerous play. And I think that's why it's very similar to, like, baseball. You've got to throw a strike. But there's been a lot of times where Chuck Pagano has come up to me and said, we need a fucking touchback here. We're not covering a fucking kick here. That is real. And I think I hit on most of them. But that is a decision that is made by the head coach and the head coach alone. I was asked on Monday Night Countdown, like, what do you think? What do you think the kicker's saying? I think Jake Elliott's saying, I wish I would have hit a better ball there, a little bit better ball. But Jake Elliott ain't deciding if they're kicking a fucking touchback or kicking it inbound. That is a head coach decision through and through, right, Chuck? A hundred percent. And he came and he owned it. And he told his team, because down all the guys that they were down, I thought, and I bet responsibly. Oh, I can't bet. I don't bet. You know, but I know people that bet responsibly. Yeah, we'll dump that first one. It came out really smooth. Jacksonville owns London, right? Yes. I mean, that's their second home. They may be the one team that Roger talked about going full-time over. They would be the first ones that say, yeah, we'll go do this. I thought they were going to kill them, but they had this thing won. You know, and to let that thing slip out of your hand, I mean, it just makes it just rip your guts out. Heartbreaking. Actual heartbreaking type loss at the end. An anomaly. Certainly a lot of people saying, what the Chuck? Is this another one here? I didn't know we had more. What? What's a deep sigh for? Let me ask you something. Okay. A.J., let me ask you guys. A.J., you've been on the defensive side. You've played a lot of great defensive football. You've been on a lot of great defenses, right? All-time leading tackler for the Pack. A.J., if they throw a ball for no gain in the flat, guy going sideways, right? Have you ever seen one go 80? I don't know if I've been on the field for one, but it would be tough to come back from this, I think, as a defense. Have you ever seen one, though? That's a deeper question. Is that real? Is this the first one? I've seen, like, now, I've seen, like, a tunnel screen go for 80, like, where it's a similar situation, but not, like, back out of the backfield right in the flat. Just the back in the flat, and the ball's out right now because they kind of blow the protection here. And Grover Stewart's free to the quarterback, and Aaron takes, and what a great job. Like, he knows, like, okay, I threw hot. If this guy drops out, turn and look for the ball. Those guys are obviously on the same page, and they executed very well. They're in man coverage, so little Wally's chasing. His guy inside, he decides to jog, all right? Mooney's over there. Little Wally. Mooney's over there, you know, covering his guy running down the field, DK, right? And if the guy isn't running a go route, eventually he turns into you. You know he's blocking, right? So get your head around, and get the chuck off the block, and get the son of a bitch on the ground. It can't go 80 yards. DK getting both of them is tough. DK, yeah. And Halsey, I mean, come on. You all right? No, this is our team. Yeah, this is our Colts. This is our team. We love you. It's getting hard to love, isn't it? That poor guy's going to bail. No, he's not. He's going to never. He was the fan of the year last year. Well, he got his trophy, so he's out. No, no, he is not. He's not out. We're still in. A lot of season left. I've seen a lot of explosive plays against this Colts defense, though, and everybody's. But this one, the first thing, AJ, did they ever tell you? Another one? You ever do pursuit drill? Two? Every single day. Every single day. And they set the cones up along the sideline, right? Every five yards? And the first thing they told you is never run behind what? Your own teammate. Your own player. Same color jersey. Yeah. Same thing with punk cover. Punk covered, never. And look at how many guys are lined up. That thing hit the hole, opened up like a cat's ass, and here you go. What? Look at that thing. How's that work? Well, like, you've seen them. What the hell does that mean? I don't know. When they pull. I haven't heard that coaching term. I think when they poop, it happens. probably a dog too human maybe any but I guarantee you did you see a moose did you see Carly walking into the locker room after the game I did did you see her face do you know what she was saying what the Chuck we're all saying it defense has been pretty problematic for Indianapolis they came back and played well for a couple weeks team fucking sucks no god damn it doesn't Chuck and suck okay as we're still in this segment team Chuck and sucks no yeah thank you it doesn't Chuck and suck they got a lot of Chuck and talent over there I don't know what the hell the deal is but they need to Chuck and figure it here's something that I've seen I know you love Colorado I know you love Colorado we love Coach Prime didn't work didn't work we're up 7-0 right what's that what Coach said they asked they asked Coach Prime this about this and he said didn't work we're up 7-0 that's a good point but but to your point like this stuff you remember how paranoid we were oh yeah especially we went go to certain places and we tell you hey do not leave your playbook in your hotel room bring it down to the meeting with you maids will get because we were for fear of maids going in there sure and grabbing that stuff double 07 you mimeographing mimeographing what is that get on the old mimeograph and then hustle back hey they're out to meetings hit room 421 yep hit 421 it's the offensive playbook that's what's his name's deal this is how these people actually think though people need to know that this is how people that live in football buildings NFL buildings and we sweep locker rooms for bugs yeah so because they're listening so we go to I'm a GA at University of Miami 1986 and Jimmy Johnson's the head coach right and we go up there and all up where up to West Virginia okay this is back before you guys had your teams and turned that thing around I wasn't even born yet yeah so Vinny Testaverde won the Heisman that year he was our quarterback Jerome Brown we had 17 guys draft so we go up there right somebody brings in a practice plan practice script all the plays through all the periods hey just on the down hey guys come here guys are getting around hey we got to do this we found this in a trash can you know you go on Friday to do your walkthrough at the stadium so we found it in a trash can and I'll be damned if we don't start looking through there and terminology back then was so simple and easy to I right I left 22 okay evens are to the right 23 odds are to the left defensive right so forth so we scrapped our plan defensively and put a new little plan in and you saw the outcome we'll pop it back up there 58-14 58-14 was the final score that's exactly what it was right there yeah I see it 58-14 so you guys are cheating you guys you guys are cheating no you keep keep a hold of your stuff like we shouldn't be finding trash cans bar stools I don't know where these things get found and get left I don't know where but they will have they will have your everybody scratching their head and saying what the chuck thank you for sharing that story West Virginia would like their win back now that we understand what happened but to your point it's been like that since I've gotten into the football world it's nice to know that it's been like that since before I was even in this world that it's been like that everybody is always paranoid AJ I learned that when Bill Pullian was pointing at a plane that was flying too low somebody was paying too close of attention at training camp practice it's like I'm like wow there's a real paranoia around here then you hear these stories it's like for good reason and the reason why Chuck I think and all these other coaches because they've done it you know it's like yeah I mean if we get a glimpse at your playbook what the fuck are we supposed to do not look at it is that on us trying to win everybody's trying to do that so Colorado has a learning lesson here a reminder for the entire football world but with iPads now it feels like it's easier to regulate maybe yeah or just you find some you know young up and coming hacker to get into the system that's what's probably trying to they're trying to cyber yeah all of our game plans they'd put our name on it and I always wondered why they put our name on it well they're gonna they're collecting they're making sure they have every single one of them once like the game starts pretty much a cyber hacker into the people's iPads for the other team for sure is that illegal it's like people putting footage out right of fans putting practice footage of training camp and stuff and that just recently got talked about like here's our place and they got them out there and you're watching the news and you're watching you know whatever and oh shit they're running reverse right there when such and such hey we need a plan for reverse here we need a plan for reverse special teams it's like so it's like the media we used to like let them come in during individual and let them watch right and then as soon as we got to our first period I mean it was you guys are appreciate you love you but you're not watching there's that story of Mike Leach right when he was at Oklahoma and he had like a fake you know first 15 or something and walked out to midfield I think when they were playing Texas or something and like dropped it and they picked it up and thought they had it and I think Oklahoma got off to like a 21 nothing start or something like that it was like we knew that you know like they thought they had everything and we and they played right into our plan see that's a good move yeah shout out to Leisha Pirate doing that stuff how the prank worked in the 1999 Red River Showdown between Oklahoma and Texas offensive coordinator Mike Leach engineered a famous deception using a fake laminated play script the conception earlier in the week Leach and assistant coach Cale Gundy shout out to the Gundy family joked about leaving a fake script behind to mess with the Longhorns Leach decided to actually do it building a decoy sheet with invented terminology in place that acted as direct complimentary opposites to his actual game plan the drop door and pregame warm up sets Cotton Bowl freshman tight end Trent Smith intentionally dropped the laminated fake script on the turf near the Texas sideline the Texas student assistant Casey Horny got a little horny picked up the script and handed it over to the Texas coaching staff and the rest they say it's history that's good play legend cause he knew that just like him every other coach gold these stupid players just let us in on some gold look what I found oh my that student man he thought he was gonna be the next head coach of maybe fucking Texas Longhorns cause of what he was able to find there he had it all figured out until Mike Leach drops a checkmate so maybe maybe Coach Prime needs to just be spattering all over if you drop 10 different game plans on the field which one's the right one just like Inside Man the movie where they all come dressed the exact same out of the bank well which one's the right one you don't have enough time to figure it out maybe that's the next kind of evolving of this particular I don't like that you cheated against West Virginia like that though so it feels like that was kind of bullshit I think we should have we should get that win back I don't think it really would have mattered to be honest with you shot us beating Miami in 1986 good win that was a good win 1-0 scored 14 points against that defense yeah you should have seen 17 guys got drafted on that team pretty good that was late we had taxi squad in okay alright let's go to tonight Chuck has not been seeing it that great this year to start lot of ball left yes if he goes 13-4 we'd all be impressed exactly yeah we'd all be impressed so Chuck to do that you're going to have to get tonight right and that Bucky the Pirate there was certainly coming after you with his sword felt like you were getting a meat pistol there right in the back wasn't it yeah God yeah I'll tell you what it's like being down 28 at halftime right to Casey 21 and then down 28 to Kansas City that's right is there any play in football guys that you can score 28 points nope on one play nope nope one play at a time one pick at a time we just need to chip away we just get a little momentum going I just I just need to hit one yeah don't judge no judgment just look at the facts look at the tape and hope it plays out that way one pick at a time one pick at a time just all we need to be is 1-0 that's right one chuck and pick after one chuck and pick after no don't get ahead of yourself don't get ahead don't worry about yeah this chuck this chucking pick right chucking here one chuck and O alright one and chuck and O that's all we gotta be how do you see it going then Chuck Pagano as we try to climb ourselves out of a very deep chuck and hole one chuck and pick at a time you guys can see these numbers pretty much for yourself you know when you look at the Seattle offense versus Denver D Denver's D is coming into the season one of the best in the world you know ranked second overall a year ago situational ball pat up there what I did was I looked at interceptions you know allowed and thrown I looked at sacks you know both given up and sacks for your team I looked at third down and red area and came up with a number so that's that situational grade you know right there is this your grade like is anybody else giving this number out or is this no this is you know like Gosling had the special team stuff yeah John Gosling well on a little bison, we'll see how it works. The Pagano situational rating. I like this. PSR. I like that. Okay, PSR, Denver ranks middle of the pack, and the Seattle Seahawks Super Bowl champions 24th out of 32 teams in the PSR rankings. Is that a number system, a letter system? What is it? You just take the four rankings where they rank in each of these categories based on the NFL out of 32 teams. You add them, total them up, and then divide them by the four. I like that. And then third down and ready or weighted a little bit more. Nerd. Because they're more important. And what's the final score? What's the final number? Like what's a good number? The final number, the lower it is, the better. That means you're really low in all those categories. Okay. Because there's a – One could be the best score, right? Yeah. If you're one in all those categories. Yeah, like if you're first in third down offense or third down defense, right, and you're 10th in red area, that's an 11. So you divide that by two, that's a really low grade. Yeah. But you said red area was graded a little bit differently. A little heavier. Put a little bit more weight into that. Pretty subjective. Yeah, it is because he's kind of deciding where the sauce is going and how much sauce is really going. Classic Italian. I will just say this. So third down, so you've got the number one defense in Seattle, right? And they're number three. Weight this, all right? Austin. Hurry the truck up, line up, fall asleep. No, he's not. We just learned about the PSR. There's no sleep. So I'll tell you what, right now, Seattle on third down is number three in the league defensively. Okay. And Denver ranks 29th, third down offense. You don't see that grade up there. I got it right here. It's in the situational factor. But it's in the situational factor. You should put it up there. You need to chuck and see it. That's why the PSR is – End of the day, here's the deal. I got it up here. End of the day, here's the deal. This is perfect because for all the viewers, and quit hating, just get smart. That's right. And just go the other way. Fade me. It's really simple. Yeah, fade you. You know, I tried to get a hold of you guys to change my pick after my plane was canceled. That's chuck and bull. We're some chucking accountability. No, just go the other way. Fade them. If you don't believe. We've never had the PSR. This is the first week we have the PSR. Go. The PSR has all this stuff. Right here. So you got Denver at home, right? Home field's big. I agree. Altitude's big. Right? That crowd, the crowd noise, that's all legit. But you got the 30th-ranked offense right now. You got Sean Payton calling plays. You remove Davis Webb from that role. It's a short week. You don't practice. So how much better? They gained 224 yards against the Chargers. They won the game, but it was because of turnover. So this is a turnover deal to me. Everything rides on turnover because San Fran won. They had three turnovers that led to – Seattle did. Had three turnovers. In the first half, 21 points for San Francisco. All short fields. So if Denver can create with their defense, which they certainly can, even though they're missing Sertan and Hufunga, if they can create a couple short fields, Herbie mentioned that as well, maybe they get in the end zone a couple times and make this a ball game. But I just – with Seattle, with JSM, with no Sertan, you got enough. They can't run the ball, but they can sling it, and they got enough weapons. So great matchup. Matchups. Here's your good matchups to watch. This is D-line for Seattle against this offensive line for Denver. If they can get home and get after Bo and Bo B's Bo, then they should win this game. I'm leaning. No, we need a pick. Charles. What is it, two and a half? Mm-hmm. Regardless. Yeah, regardless. I'm taking Seattle on this one. There you go, Charles. That felt like your best pick yet. Yeah. Just most confident, best pick yet. Everything you were saying was scratching me right where I itch because everybody knows I'm a NFC Seahawks fan. Yeah, that's right. After they won the Super Bowl, I've become a fan of theirs. But it wasn't because of the Super Bowl. It was because of the Hard Knocks episode. Right. Episodes that I watched where it feels like their culture is a tough culture. They got a hard culture. It's your team. And I like – my team is the Colts. This is my team. Oh, yeah. And the Seahawks. These are my Colts. I believe – Sweet blue. Going into week six. Week nine. We'll see. But it's your team. It's one of your teams. It doesn't matter who you let through. You talking about the Colts D or offense too? I don't know. Hey, keep in mind, you love Mike McDonald, right? Mm-hmm. His road record also plays into this. He hasn't lost back-to-back wins ever. Like he's 4-0's going back all the way to 24. 25. Yeah. Dang. Just to add another little. All right. I'm going with Seahawks minus two and a half as well. A.J., you've been seeing the board very, very well. I think it's hard to pick the Broncos, but it is the NFL. Maybe Sean Payton and the boys get something done, especially at home. Who do you like? How do you like it, A.J.? Yeah, it is – I think it is difficult not to pick the Broncos here. I think everyone is so heavy on the Seahawks, at least from what I hear. But I told you I had my – kind of had my choice made up when this show started. A couple hours ago, I am taking the Seattle Seahawks minus two and a half on the road. I think they win by seven or ten. Talks to the table. Who do you like? I'm taking Denver. This is just one of those classic – how many primetime dogs in a row have won? Seven. Seven in a row. Nine powers. How many home dogs have won, though, this season? Oh, insane amount. A bunch. It just feels like one of those games where it's just going to be ugly as shit. It's going to be awful. I'm going to enjoy it, but it's going to be awful, and then Bo Nix is going to squeeze it out. Yeah, ugliest shit game. Bo Nix has won 16 straight or something. Yeah. He's 16 and three at home. Primetime. They beat the Rams. 13 game-winning drives, Pat. You're taking Denver because of everything we just mentioned? Yeah. Sertain out, and then is the other corner out? Yeah, Riley Moss probably isn't going to play either. But I think it just – I mean, it seems like with all that, it's like Seattle should win by 14. But look what happened last Thursday. What happened last Thursday? We played that injury game, to your point. But last Thursday, look at who you're talking about. What were you talking about? Yeah. What? You were on them. The Dallas defense? I know. I'm a fucking idiot. They were nine-and-a-half-point favorites, though. I'm a fucking idiot. Chuck an idiot. I knew as soon as I said, yeah, I'll give it a nine-and-a-half, and I'm thinking to myself, what did I just do? Well, that's on you, bruh. In real time, you were thinking you could have waffled. 100%. You could have flopped for all of us. Back to the other side. This one, you're no waffling. Wait. What are you doing? Wait, wait, wait, wait, wait. It's a job. It's a job. You two are Seattle, and you two are here. Oh, no. He's got a problem. I ain't waffling. AJ Seattle. Mike Mack, Zio, Danny Stern, Sternarios, they've covered all the situational stuff. Those are our guys. Those are our guys. Trust the PSR. That's what I'm doing. If I go down, you go down. Yeah, the PSR is going to be a massive ordeal tonight. And it favors the Broncos. I can't wait until this goes sideways to get the hate on the PSR. You dumb mother. Well, if the Broncos end up winning, your PSR was actually. But only on that side of the ball. The other PSR favored the Seattle. So the PSR. The PSR is actually kind of neutralized in this game. Yeah, but closer. Well, actually, Seattle's got five points better if you add them all together. Can I say the PSR should only have one score? It should not be on both sides. I agree. I thought it was only one score until right now. It should not be on both sides of the ball. The PSR should not be on both sides. You've got to find a way to. It should be a global scale, like, for the whole game. Still fine-tuning the PSR. Yeah, yeah. It's up here. I got that stat up here. It's not up here. You don't see it. I'm going to evaluate the tape after this game and just see how, you know, it's relevant. The PSR has evolved. It's evolving. It's fluid. It is fluid, Stephen A. There is a sneaky storyline here where there was a hot mic leak from Mike McDonald recently about how Sean Payton was really, really fucking pissed at him because they kind of did what we were talking about before where Mike McDaniel picked something up from their social team or from a newscaster thing and Sean Payton reached out and was really pissed. Mike McDonald did this? Graham Bensinger show. Yeah. It was, yeah, yeah. It definitely was not supposed to be released. The social team released something from, like, training camp or something and they caught wind of it and. And watched the whole thing and got some plays from it and Sean Payton did not have it. Well, if they released it, that's not on mic. Yes. Agreed. Sorry. They were letting fans record at training camp and the Seahawks basically went on Twitter and gathered all the fan footage and then. Jesus. That's good ball. That's why we hire thousands and thousands and thousands of analytical guys. Actually. That's your job is to follow the 53 guys in our squad. Their Twitter, the 16 practice squad, the IR guys, everybody and the other 5 billion followers that follow the Broncos. We need to know everything. That's right. And there is more info that comes across the desk these days. I actually had one of my tweets printed out and slid across the desk to me. It was pretty good. Still up. One of my favorite tweets I've ever posted. Kind of called everything that was about to happen in its entirety. It was a fun time to realize, oh, you guys are following my tweets, huh? You guys think I'm pretty good? I've got pretty good followers. Never got a response out of that. I still wonder if there was any positive reaction to any of my tweets. Big pops potentially behind the board. It turns out they're watching everybody. They're seeing everything. I can't believe Sean got pissed off at McDonough. I assume Sean Payton would do the exact same thing if he saw anything that could give him a potential. 1,000%. That's Chuck Pagano talking. The guy won a. Come on. Come on. That's what he did today at West Virginia Mountaineers in 1986. That's what he did. - That's right. - That's why he's grandstanding so hard. If I'm Mike, I'm like, hey, it's your social group that put it out there. Fire their ass. Don't get pissed at me. No, that'll never happen. Get some control over your building. Social groups are allowed to do whatever they want. Makes no sense to any of us. Okay, so we're on Seattle, including AJ. Toxic Table is on Denver because the NFL this year and what has been going on with home dogs and puppies in primetime. Dad! Cowboys, AP Tone. Who do you like? How do you like it? I saw every stat favor of the Seattle Seahawks, so I will be on the Seattle Seahawks. Okay. Gumpy, who do you like? Love the Seahawks. I also, I kind of, I'm not a Sean Payton guy myself. It's hard for me to get past that. I don't like the Broncos team at all. So I'm a big fan of the Seahawks tonight for sure. That one's for me. Love you, Gums. We appreciate that, Gums. Hopefully your personal vendetta against the team of City and the coach pays off for us this evening. AJ, we're both on Seattle, but it sounds like we're in for a dogfight tonight. Yeah. Let's enjoy that. We'll be back tomorrow. You all are the best people on earth for allowing us to do this for a living. Genuinely appreciative of it. And every single Wednesday and every single Thursday, we try to win some money for people. We try to say thank you to the people that watch along. The people that have built this into what it is. The people that, for some reason, we still don't know why, help us do our thing. The people that watch at home. The people that watch on their phones. The people that watch the clips. The people that are following along digitally every single day to what we, in our stupid lives, have going on. We try to win $500 for 25 random people. We try to win $500 for 20 random people. We've tried to have athletes, professional, and ex, try to get thousands and thousands of dollars out the door to watchers. AJ, you've watched us do this. I've watched it many times. It just hasn't found a home just yet. Today's the day. Today could be different. Chuck Pagano, will you be willing to try to throw football into a basketball hoop to win 30 people $500 as we are about to kick off week six of the NFL season? Absolutely. Let's go, Chuck. Come on. Good catch. Come on, Chuck. Wow. Come on, Chuck. You know what to do. Wow. You know what to do, Charlie. That's smart. Turned through those earlier because we sensed a little negativity. He said it wasn't negativity and you can all eat shit. So maybe the eat shit was negative, but the vibes were positive. Great catch there by you. Bucket, I'd say. Also, great throwback to me there. I appreciate you keeping me alive and keeping me on my toes and keeping me excited and enlightened as you attempt the impossible. Chuck, you were warming up earlier with Boston Connor. Do you feel like it's coming out of the hand? Good. I do. AJ, just looking at Chuck, do you think today is the day that it could all possibly change as he has the Travis Scotts on his feet, a flannel on his chest, and his hair perfectly slicked back so this paisan can represent being the super paisan of the year just a few years back? Yeah, especially after we had a heavy Italian first hour of this program. He got to talk about throwing Italian sausages into his marinara and everything. So, yeah, I think today, and we know, Chuck, the first throw is usually the best one, Chuck, so this one's going in. Tone, I do feel like we have a more Italian show than most every day. Yeah, at least we talk about it, yeah. Yeah. Well, just the people talking onto the microphones, too, I think. Sure. From a national level, we could probably say more Italian. Yeah, my own. Than most. Today did feel super Italian. Do you think that helps or hurts Chuck Pagano? Because maybe he'll be too paisaned up, you know? Maybe too much mutere on every single throw. Maybe he throws it through the backboard because he's all, he's Italianed out of his face. No, I think it'll help him. I think it'll calm him down, make him feel like he's at home, you know, make him feel like he's, it's Sunday, he's eating that gravy with his, with his pasta and his garlic bread. The rigatone. And his rigatone. Yeah, he did prefer the rigatone over the pappardelle, which is a decision. But, yeah, I think he's going to be great. Nick, anything to say to your fellow Italian? You know, he represented you a couple years ago as the Super Italian of the Year. Paisan, we appreciate everything you do. We appreciate everything you do for the family. Let's go ahead and make one of these, huh? It's been too long. I like that. I like it. It's been too long. Let's get it done. Do it for the people. Now, for the family, you would miss. Yeah. You know, because this would be money going out of the family. But we consider the people to watch. Family. Family. So why don't you do it for the family? Go on, Charlie. And if you don't make it, there's consequences, Chuck. Tony's talking about killing you. Oh. Oh, good line, though. Good line. Too much mozzarella. Yeah, way too much mozzarella. I knew it was going to go way past. That was the buffalo. I like rigatoni, too, Charlie. He wants that ball. Me, too, actually. Charlie says this ball regardless. I think he's going to get that same ball. Yes, he is. There's eight balls here available. Many different sizes, varieties, even color options. Chuck found the one that he likes. He was playing catch with it earlier in the day with Con Man. I guess he liked that first go. Chuck, what did you like that makes you say, give me the same ball now that I got a little bit of a depth check? It's got the perfect PSI in it right now. Okay. The PSR to the PSI. My, oh, my. 30 winners of $500 if you put it into that hoop. Nope. Yeah. The second one is always. Yeah. It was a great day today, Charlie, regardless. It was a good day. Regardless. You want one more? Okay, new ball. Throw it left-handed. Kick it. Punch that thing. 30 people. Oh. Rock, mamma mia. Mean, you fudge. Oh. Gosh. One time. Nope. All right. It was just maybe never going to happen today. That's awful right now. Haven't got a pick, right? No. I haven't made a fucking throw. Fucking throw. Thanks for having me back. Hey. No problem. Thanks for coming. You should probably fire me. No. Hey. Hey. Hey. Don't say that. Hey, Charles, regardless of what they're saying, okay, you're great here. We fucking love you, Chuck. We chuck and love you, Chuck. Thank you for chucking everything, dude. Yeah. Thanks. Now, you chucking a football this year, chucking embarrassing. Yeah. Get your chucking shit together when it comes to that. Bit of a gagoots. Your picks this year, chucking embarrassing. Yep. But that all changes tonight. As you. Fucking Bruce back there nodding like a fucking. What the fuck's wrong with you? That one, Chuck. He's, you see him, he's like a Cheshire, he's like a Cheshire cat back. They're, they're right. What the fuck? God damn, Brucey, I love you, bud, but get that fucking smirk off your puss. Need some winners, coach. We need some winners. I know. Save us from a very uncomfortable decision. That's right. Whoa. Whoa. There's none of that happening. Don't worry about that. Thank you for everything. Bruce is just trying to put positive vibes out. What was he doing, Chuck? What was Bruce doing? He was looking at you weird? Oh, AJ, you see. You're the best, Chuck. We appreciate you and we appreciate you. Hope you have a great day. Hope you have an incredible night. FAQs

The Seahawks have an impressive record on the road, including 16-3 against the spread since 2024. Head coach Dan McDonald has consistently performed well away from home, and the team has proven resilient in tough road settings.

Denver's elevation of 5,280 feet creates a thinner air, which can reduce oxygen levels and affect stamina. This can lead to fatigue, especially for players not acclimated to high altitudes, and may impact both performance and recovery.

Steve Young, a three-time Super Bowl champion and Hall of Famer, brings a rich legacy to the college game day. His presence highlights BYU's growing competitiveness and national ambitions, especially with their recent move to the Big 12 conference.

No, Steve Young has stated he is not interested in joining ESPN’s Monday Night Football as a color commentator. He emphasizes that he would only enter such a role if he were truly passionate and qualified, and he believes his role should be earned, not forced.

The Seahawks have struggled with turnovers, including five in their last game, which raises concerns about their offensive consistency. However, their defense remains strong, though key players like Hufunga are questionable due to injuries.

While weather is not expected to be a major factor, altitude in Denver could still influence player performance. Cooler temperatures and high elevation may affect oxygen levels, potentially affecting endurance and game pace.
