PMS 2.0 1643 - OVERREACTION MONDAY, NFL Week 5 Recap, MNF Preview/Picks, Adam Schefter, Dan Orlovsky, Darius Butler, & AJ Hawk

The Week 5 NFL slate reveals a season defined by unpredictability and dramatic shifts. The San Francisco 49ers dominate with a 5-0 start, powered by Mike Evans' explosive plays and a resilient roster, while the Minnesota Vikings emerge as a formidable team under Kyler Murray and Brian Flores' defensive schemes. A highlight from the Jacksonville Jaguars’ game features a clutch 57-yard field goal, executed with precision by defensive tackle Devon Hamilton and holder Logan Cook, showcasing the pivotal role of special teams. Meanwhile, the Philadelphia Eagles face mounting criticism after a stunning loss in London, with fans and media demanding head coach Nick Sirianni’s ousting due to poor game management and a disastrous final drive. On the other side, the Pittsburgh Steelers see a revival in their offense, with Aaron Rodgers throwing for three touchdowns in a row and Jalen Warren leading in yards and performance, marking a turning point after years of inconsistency. The resurgence of physical, aggressive running backs—like Aaron Jones and Jalen Warren—signals a return to a more balanced, physically demanding style of football. The NFC East, however, remains in turmoil, with multiple losses and coaching controversies, underscoring a season of instability. Overall, the NFL is witnessing a mix of thrilling moments, surprising turnarounds, and deep organizational struggles, reflecting a season where momentum is fleeting and fan expectations are high.

Hello, beautiful people, and welcome to another massive Overreaction Monday, October 12, 2026. This football program begins right now. Football is the greatest, and I am so lucky that I'm back here at SoFi Stadium. I've had the incredible opportunity to do so many things in here. I've seen WrestleMania in here. I've seen Monday Night Football in here. I've seen a World Cup game in here. And tonight, I have a chance to watch maybe the most prolific offenses in the NFL duel on a Monday Night Football as the Bills travel to town to take on the Los Angeles Rams and wrap up this electrifying Week 5 of the NFL season. Now, it's not just going to be about what's happening tonight, although there will be plenty of takes. Dan Orlovsky will join us in the second hour. He's already said some things this morning that we're going to have to follow up on. There's also a lot to react to from Week 5 NFL Sunday slate. There's a couple fives. There's a couple 5-0s. There's a few 0-5s. Then there's a ton of what the hell's going to happen this season for you. There's a couple 2-3, 3-2 teams that might end up with a full clean of the house at the end of the season and maybe go on to win the Super Bowl. A couple teams statistically eliminated. Never been happened before. Sorry about it. A lot of high hopes and expectations in a couple towns. And after Week 5, it's already over looking towards the draft. But then there's some teams that are dominating everybody every single week. We're so incredibly lucky that we get a chance to talk about ball. Every single day. I'm here in SoFi in Los Angeles. Had a fantastic weekend in Tuscaloosa. And the boys are back in the Thunderdome, including college football national champion, Super Bowl champion, Ryder Cup winner, ladies and gentlemen, A.J. Hawke. Hawker, great weekend of ball. Thank you for traveling to Indianapolis. Is there anything that kind of sticks out about where the state of football is right now in your mind, A.J.? I mean, I think the state of football is in a great spot right now. I think the unpredictability of college and NFL football is something that sticks out to me. You pick a winner. We don't know week to week who is going to show up, I think. So that's what I'm, I guess, most intrigued by. And I cannot wait to see how the rest of this season plays out. Yeah, it feels like this has been an unpredictable year. It's tough to forecast. Now, you've been doing it much better than me, though, sir. I will have you know. It's been tough for me to figure out what's going on. But your gut instinct is feeling it. I like that. Can't wait to hear your thoughts on what's going to happen tonight. The toxic table is here. And I think they're in a much better mood. At Boston, Connor and Ty Schmidt, your teams. Hey. Hey. Hey. Hey. Hey. Pantry Monday. Ah, boy. See you Tuesday. Ah, boy. Yeah, yeah, yeah. Woo. It's crazy what a win can do by a bunch of dudes that you've never met before on a football field. But that is life in the football season. Let's go to one half of the hammer. Done. Cowboys AP tone. What a Monday. Hey. Congratulations. That feels good. It's a jolly. It's a jolly old Monday here on the Pat McAfee program. Nine-year NFL vet. A stud. A man who has 10 different teams. A lot of them losing. Ladies and gentlemen, Derek Sheppard. Thanks for watching. All right. Glad to be here. Glad to be here. On to next week. Yeah, on to next week. There's a lot of teams that you've put your fan wagon behind that have kind of gone into dumps. I don't like what they're saying about it, D, but they're saying maybe, you know, maybe if you're a fan, you're going to be a fan. Maybe if you're a fan, you're going to be a fan. Oh, no. Is that what they're saying? That's not fair. That's not. I mean, I picked up a new team, the Chicago Bears. Everyone was crowning them. Ben Johns, hey, I can play quarterback. We can go put up 38. No, we'll talk about it later. You said Gump can play quarterback. Yeah, Gump, you know, I dropped the Chargers. You're not the only one. Thank God I did that. Dolphins still haven't won a damn game. Colts. Might not. Do we ever beat the Steelers? I mean, it's ugly out here right now, man. Yeah, and then Eagles, you know, your team. Yeah. I agree. I mean, I actually celebrated that win for 30 seconds. Well, you weren't the only one. The coaches were, too. I don't know if you saw. Everybody was seemingly celebrating. You can celebrate. That was a wild turn of events. I can't believe the NFL is having those situations happen in 2026 with all the information. And let's not even talk about NFC East football. Let's not even talk about the end of that, D, but you're not the only one they're saying is bad. I became a Seahawks fan. Oh. Remember? And then, look, this happens. It didn't happen all last year. And then I'm a Colts fan. Obviously, because I live in Indianapolis. I'm a season ticket holder. They're 2-10 in the last 12. What? 2-10 in the last 12. Hard to win games. Hard as league. It's not about us, though. It's not just about us, D, but it's about what happened on the field. It's about the top five, top five, top five in our eyes from the Week 5 NFL. Here we go. Now, number five is driven by Ram, by the way. If you need to pull something or just drive around time, a Ram truck is the right thing. for you and when you hop in there and you turn that song thing on i don't want to say some bitch because i don't know you know the mother or father of these ram trucks i don't want to get into but whenever you hit that gas pedal there's only one sound you're going to hear and it's going to be that's that diesel engine ready to go wherever it needs to go let's go to our top five starting with five five and oh yeah 49ers and vikings are on top of the nfl now the minnesota vikings we had kevin o'connell on last week four and oh everybody's wondering if they were a real four and oh or if they're maybe the worst four and oh team that the nfl has had in some time offensively they hadn't been able to cook at all but all kevin o'connell said was we knew there was going to be a little bit of a grace period with kyler murray coming in well kyler murray has his best game as a minnesota vikings quarterback justin jefferson goes crazy whenever people were wondering if he was even going to play in this game he goes back to louisiana give me that and the offense looks like it could potentially be prolific and everything that kevin o'connell the offensive had been forecasting could potentially come to fruition because kyler murray can make plays that other quarterbacks can't especially quarterbacks that have been in the system and prospered before i don't know if we need to just focus on the offense and kyler having his best game as a viking i think we need to turn this thing to the defensive side d but this vikings defense is dictating games we haven't seen this in some time and they're saying this guy blitzed at a 90 percent clip yesterday against shook d but yeah you can only do it if it works yeah you called him shook he was shook all day long 96 yards passing this was a guy that they had no run game so you expect the tyler struck to go out there and toss the ball around 96 yards passing only like 142 total yards on offense so you're talking about an absolute drumming and yeah i think assistant coach of the year it's a lot for brian flores and i absolutely love koc former teammate brian flores might be the damn coach of the year this year what he's doing with his defense be five and oh and the offense finally kind of catching up if this offense is going to kick along with this defense it's going to be a scary scary team but what flores is doing with these guys down there by murphy two interceptions unbelievable performance dallas turner the edge defenders turn into a superstar right before our eyes man i love everything i'm seeing from this minnesota defense yeah these both of these teams are obviously in the nfc let's go to the niners who started their season down under and dominated the los angeles rams so much so that the rams said we question every decision we made we're going to go ahead and bury the ball and move along they've continued what brock purdy's been able to do is they've been able to do a lot of things what this entire defense has been able to do four turnovers yesterday two picks two fumble recoveries to sam donald and seattle seahawks offense now this was legendary game very thankful for how this one turned out in the nfc west jackson smith and jig but he's hurt oh he's still scoring touchdowns and then the addition of this guy in the offseason we talked about it being a big deal we thought it was going to be a big deal we were very surprised that the move happened mike evans perennial tampa bay buccaneer had a thousand yards with them every single season coming out of college all the way in through last year he was the tampa bay buccaneers offense if you're watching the game it's going to be a mike evans highlight unbelievable talent picks up his talents and goes to santa clara and becomes a member of the san francisco 49ers and now brock purdy has a weapon that he's never had before that the nfl maybe has never seen before a first ballot hall of famer george kittle gets back healthy with the achilles has an illness has a drop early still shows up christian mccaffrey's in the backfield and you have shanahan's big brain it's an insane thought about how good the niners are at this supposed to mess him up. Yeah, right. 5-0 and rolling. And A.J., Mike Evans, I think what he has been able to do, he's catching over the middle. He's running comebacks. He's getting popped. He's taking a roof off. It has been special to watch him get added into this Shanahan offense, A.J. Yeah, it has. And I think in the biggest moments is when he steps up the most, and that's when you need him. I know in this game, they went on, what, a 12-play drive, I believe, 74 yards. Took seven minutes towards the end. They were down 26-21 heading into that drive. Mike Evans, I think, had three gigantic catches throughout this drive. And as well, he got the two-point conversion once they punched it into Brandon Cook. So I just think when you hear his teammates, too, if you've seen some of the comments, his teammates, when they're talking about Mike Evans, like, they're looking at this guy like he's Michael Jordan. Like, they're in awe of him. And Fred Warner's talking about being on the sidelines and saying, wow, we've really got Mike Evans on our squad. Like, the confidence, I think, that that can trickle down through the rest of the team and the coaching staff, it's just gigantic. And it's fun to see Mike Evans still doing it at such a, you know, not advanced age, but this guy's been doing it. What year is this now for him? 37? 13, I believe. Yeah, something like that. He comes out of the 2014 draft. So I think the San Francisco 49ers, they're on to something. We know their defense is unbelievable. Fred Warner continues to do it. Greenlaw, I love it. You know, we got to control our emotions, but I love you're always on the line. You're always right at the toe in the line. And I appreciate that about him and this whole defense. But Mike Evans, man, special, special player. I think San Fran, he's going to be a great player. I think he's going to be a great player. He's just kind of scratching the surface as to what he could do this year. This wasn't the best part we've got for Mike Evans either. He's tremendous. He did this on the field, but he gave us some elite, elite trolling with Trevon Diggs. Yeah, you got to fight with somebody like that. I mean, just so public of what he was saying. I mean, anytime you can nonverbal shit talk, that's good. You know, and everybody on earth knew exactly what Mike Evans was doing. If this is anybody other than a first ballot Hall of Famer, which Mike Evans is, I don't think it obviously hits as hard. Trevon Diggs has had great years in the NFL. So him getting punked out like that publicly, special. And how much everybody, Trevon Diggs, by the way, we have respect. I see how he walks my second team. I didn't like that he did this to us. I didn't like that he did this to us, but he certainly did it, and a lot of people have seen it. And then Con Man, we talked about it when it happened. There's going to come a time this season where Mike Evans is going to go off and have like 200 yards is what we say. It's going to be San Francisco 49ers. We're going to say we can't believe that they got the deal done and he left Tampa Bay. It's paying off already. George Kittle is saying, Mike Evans is really good at football. It's happening early, and it's going to be a mainstay if we know anything about the way Mike Evans' career has gone, Con Man. Oh, yeah, for sure. And this is something that we probably should have even talked about more when it first happened. But A.J. mentioned it there with Brandon Cooks. The Niners lead the league in players on IR and PUP. What Shanahan's doing with the guys that he has and the guys that he's just bringing in. Use check, he's not playing right now. That's huge for the run game losing him. Having Brandon Cooks slide in there and just basically seemingly getting the offense right away for Shanahan, having guys step up, and Purdy's also damn near the MVP right now. So what the Niners are doing is fantastic with how banged up they are too. Yeah, I really like the way these two teams are playing football. Is it sustainable? Tone, what do the odds say about being sustainable starting out 5-0? One team went undefeated, the 1972 Dolphins, but also the teams that – Let's go back in time, Miami. Let's live that a little bit. Yeah. Might be the other way this year. We're having a good time. That's tough. Miami fans have had a tough go. Hey, Gump, how you doing, man? You all right, buddy? Yeah, rookies are playing well. Malik Willis, we could probably use a little bit more from him, but the rookies are still playing well. You were banging the drum, Malik Willis. Remember, Malik Willis took his jacket off during the Indianapolis Combine and gave it to somebody else on the street. That's right. That was cool. When he was with the Green Bay Packers, he was spectacular. He was going to be great for you guys. I don't like that you seemingly have given up with him. You haven't given up on him in just five weeks. Second half, he was good. First half, he seems to want to be a pocket passer and floating the ball around. It's not really working out. Gumpy said the reason why you got paid the amount of money you got paid is because of how good you are running, too. So we can't just get the big paycheck and then not want to run and take any hits anymore is what Gumpy said. But, Gumpy, let's go back to the 1972 Dolphins. Only undefeated team. They get a chance to celebrate all the time. Do we know anything about teams that start 5-0, how likely they are to make Super Bowl, how likely they are to win? Super Bowl, and I guess 17-game season, different than 16-game season. But we've always been told the teams that win start the season well as well. How well do they normally start the season? Tony, do we have that info? Yeah, so it's 90% of the time these teams make the playoff. 32% of the time these teams make the Super Bowl. There's only been a couple times where these teams didn't do well. The 2015 Falcons, the 2016 Minnesota Vikings. Shout out those two teams. But no, normally. Steelers are on there. The 11-1. I don't know, Steelers, maybe. They made the playoffs. They were okay. They did not make the Super Bowl. But no, in these situations, 90% of the time you're going to make the playoffs. 30% of the time you're going to make the Super Bowl. Right now, the Vikings. Or sorry, the Niners are minus 2,500 to make the playoffs. The Vikings are minus 450 to make the playoffs. So the book's not as sold on the Vikings, probably because of the offense. But pretty high chances these teams are going to be in the playoffs. Yeah, and that's good news. Kevin O'Connell with Kyler Murray only getting better. Kevin O'Connell was very confident last week on the show, talking about what it's going to become. And I don't think he comes on the show if he doesn't feel good about what it's going to become. Congrats to them over there and to Shanahan and Brock Purdy, who might have taken on a little bit more ownership of offense and team with the entire offseason that happened with Coach Shanahan. Happy they're moving. Now let's go to number four. What are the odds on losing a game when you have the lead with eight seconds left? Seems like this season, low. This season, very low. If you get a lead with less than 10 seconds left, you better hold on to your shit. Anything can happen in the NFL. And at 9.30, when these games kick off Eastern time in the morning, we were blessed with another absolute swiller. Eight seconds left. Let's kick it off. Abdul. Boom. Right through the line. Gets all the way in the field goal range. How much time is left? One second? Two seconds? Tell us there's one. Tell us there's two. Abdullah gets him in range. And then back up long snapper. Devon Hamilton to Logan Cook to Cam Little. Blast home a 50-7. Yard field goal with the Jude Bellingham. Now, I would like to talk about Devon Hamilton. Okay? His name is Devon Hamilton. I can't believe he did this good. I can't believe the perfect spirals he was snapping. Now, Logan Cook, an absolute beast as a holder and as a punter. You got to be a great athlete to be able to do all this shit. And his left foot almost gets in the way there. So, shout out to Cam Little having the mental toughness to get through there. Devon Hamilton. Again, gets a rep probably once a week, twice a week. And he's, what is this? He's 6'4", 335-pound tackle. Okay? 335 pounds. He has a little bit of a gut. He's a little bit of a bigger lad. He's a defensive tackle. Bending over. And I think Jason Kelsey talked about that when he got over 300 pounds. Bending over and staying down. Because you have to stay down. Or if you come up, you're going to flip it. It's going to go high. So, on a game-winning one, snapping his best ball, him walking in like that in that biggest moment. There's no way a defensive tackle gets a shot. No case whether or not he's clutch. And then in this moment, he gets a chance with everybody. All eyes are on him. Hey. Logan Cook is thinking to himself, hey, you get it back here. I'm going to give us a shot. But at 57 yards, you have to hit a really good ball. This has to be a really good operation. And Devon Hamilton snaps. I think Lacey's back there to him. His best snap of the day in the biggest moment. And then Logan Cook puts it down. And Cam Little walks this thing off when it still had 30 yards to travel. One of the most. One of the most special, special teams plays I've seen. Just with a D tackle in there. Snapping the ball. And the snap being so important. Them not being able to get the edge. And then them making the kick. Him walking it off. Special moment in London. I was very happy for the Jacksonville Jaguars and Devon Hamilton. I don't know who you guys had as a backup long snapper. We had a couple different guys. Jacob Tamme at one point was a backup long snapper. The current snapper, Luke Rhodes, was a backup long snapper whenever he was on practice squad as a linebacker. Very rarely do you have to step in there because long snappers are so protected these days. They know that. And for him to get that done in the biggest moment. For them to get a return like that. Special teams wins them a crazy game. AJ, I loved every. I got emotional almost for Devon Hamilton. It was zoomed in on his face. Hey, this is a 57-yard field goal, bro. Go ahead and sit on that just for a little bit. And that's like a. This is a jumper. This is a throw. This is a hit. This is. That's what that is. He very rarely ever has to do that. Maybe at home. He's got a good jumper I'd assume. He's pretty athletic. Maybe he played beer pong. He's got to make a final cup. But a D-tackle, like clutch moments, like you're trying to move humans. You're not trying to execute a mechanic. So I'm so impressed with this and shout out to the Jags getting another win in London. And then the Philadelphia Eagles are crumbling AJ Hawk in London. Yeah, I don't think they're. People aren't real happy with Coach Sirianni right now and the rest of that staff. We saw a lot of different kind of game management situations I'm sure we'll get into as the day goes. But this was a bit shocking and watching it in real time, seeing this return and they're saying, "Hey, if you let him go five more yards and you tackle him, game's over. You win the game." Like, obviously you don't in the moment, if you're making that tackle, you're not going to calculate that and do the math. But I just think obviously the fact that you kicked it to him, all of it, they're going to be questioning this for years to come, I think. D-butt, this is. You got to throw a strike. I mean. Or you kick it out. They got no timeouts. Yeah, that's the thing. That's the difference, I think. Go ahead. You saw with Lamar earlier in the year when they had a timeout, got it his day and got it down. But them not having timeouts, you want to just kick this in the end zone and make him kind of do a hook and lateral gimmick to try to get it done. But at the end of the day, Mike Tomlin said it last night on Sunday Night Football, as players, you got to cover a kick. That's just the National Football League. You were specialists for a long time. You know, you got to get down there and cover a kick. You tackle this guy on even the 35, the 40 yard line, the chances of you winning go tremendously up. So you got to cover a kick. You're out there in the field. That's your job. That's the name of the game. And I do love when a coach or a quarterback just takes full ownership of it. Hey, that's on me. I got to kick it in the end zone. But as players, you kind of got to take that ownership as well. Like, we got to run down there and make a damn tackle with the game on the line, man. But yeah, you almost go from celebrating that win. Not almost. You definitely go from celebrating the win to seeing some shit that you've never seen happen before. And then this kid, I mean, Cam, soon as it comes off the foot, for him to know it was perfect and just do a Steph Curry walk off in this type of moment was unbelievable. Cam, since he's got in the league, has had unflappable confidence. He was a kickoff guy in college. I don't know how much. He has a huge leg, especially because his last name's Little. He's not like the largest guy. He has a monster leg. He might hit a 70 yarder if the conditions are right. And he's in Denver. And there's a little bit of a breeze behind him and they let him do it. This kid could potentially be the one and him making that kick with a backup long snapper when the timing's off completely. It's it's really cool. Now, Ty, I know you go through the I don't want to overreact. react, but. Sweets, were they kind to Sirianni in Philadelphia? Or what's the conversation back home after the game in London town in Philadelphia? No, absolutely not. They've been done with Sirianni for a couple weeks now. So this is kind of just another, you know, a little bit of icing on the cake. And, you know, D-Butt said, hey, I love how, you know, he goes up there in front of the media and kind of takes ownership. It seems like Eagles fans are kind of sick and tired of that because he's done that a couple weeks in a row now. And it's kind of like, hey, how long is this guy going to go up and basically just say, I fumbled the game. I messed up big time. I need to be better. I won't do it again. So, yeah, a lot of people are calling for Sirianni's job today, and they're basically saying, like, hey, Howie, let's go, okay? We have no time to waste now. Everything's crumbling. We don't need to finish the season with 14 losses. Get rid of this guy. Ty, what did the Johns say? They said, yeah, this guy's proving our point. It is his fault that this team stinks. What were they saying about that every time he gets up there and says, that one's on me, that one's on me? The Johns go, exactly. That's what we've been saying, Howie. Is that the accurate depiction? Of what they've been saying? Yeah, in so many more words, they've basically, you know, reiterated what that guy said last week. Like, Coach Sirianni once again messes things up for the umpsteens time. So, yeah, that is almost word for word what they said. Yeah, what kind of nickname? A couple nicknames, I believe I saw. Well, yeah. I thought he got Bin Laden. He did. He did. Oh, no. How do you fit that into Sirianni? Osama Bin Yanni is what they're calling him today. I don't love it. I don't love it. Yeah, but it's been sitting there this whole time. I know. So, I think we were all pretty surprised whenever we saw it. But, hey, that's life in the NFL. They can rattle off a bunch of wins, and they'd still be saying that about them. Yeah. That's the fun thing about Philadelphia. Yeah. All right. Sweet. Let's go to number three headline, shall we? AJ, this is an exciting one. The Steelers clean their house, and Rodgers is rolling. Rodgers now has done something that people. People in Pittsburgh haven't done other than, like, two times in its history. Yep. Rodgers now has three-plus touchdowns thrown in three straight games. They went back to Terry Bradshaw and Ben Roethlisberger to try to find times in which a quarterback has done this. Pat Friermuth has already been paid, but he hasn't really been weaponized by the Pittsburgh Steelers. And Jalen Warren, same exact situation with the Pittsburgh Steelers. They have career days. Jalen Warren's leading the NFL in yards. And Aaron Rodgers, after the game, is saying he's a guy everybody loves, and he's a special talent. We need to be getting him to ball. First and ten. First quarter. Colts don't do anything with it. Send it to him. Don't worry. Jalen Warren will take this thing 80 yards. Absolutely absurd start for their offense. And that type of stuff really puts Aaron, I think, in a zone. I think whenever he sees one go in early, I think it only continues to rattle and roll. And that's what happened yesterday against this Colts defense, who hasn't been the best, certainly. And the Colts offense, certainly not fantastic at times. And we're certainly in trouble. And we're only two wins in our life. We've lost 12 games, but happy for the Pittsburgh Steelers to clean their house. Now, A.J., got a chance to talk to Source. Says. Close in there. And J.J. Watts said this live on the broadcast, and I think it was reiterated. Half-Ryermuth in a Pro Bowl is what everybody in the Pittsburgh Steelers' current operation views it as. This guy should be weaponized. And with Mount Washington on the other side, he demands some attention. So, the tight end. The tight end group can only get better and better. And I think they're only going to get weaponized. And then Jalen Warren, from our understanding, from Source, says, close to the situation, this guy is everything you want in a football player. One-on-ones, protecting the quarterback. He'll go right down, riddle, right to bottom. He is. He wants the smoke. He's in the smoke. He loves his teammates. He has juice every single day. He's been around the Steelers organization for some time. And I don't want to toot our own horn. I don't like doing that because we obviously get a lot of things wrong whenever you're living in daily sports world with the information that you have at the time. But every time Jalen Warren has gotten the ball over the last four or five years, he has been spectacular with it. He always provides juice. So, now him becoming a focal point of an offense, especially for Aaron Rodgers, when he got some injuries at wide receiver, I don't think this is going to slow down. A.J., do you think they're just getting started over there? Do you think they're going to get figured out? What are your thoughts on this Pittsburgh Steelers offense that the city of Pittsburgh hasn't seen, really, ever in this time? I think the Pittsburgh fans, and I know just judging off of Tone's demeanor from when I walked in this morning, they got a little pep in their step. And I think it's because they are, we're kind of, we're seeing them push the ball down the field. We're seeing Aaron throw the ball over the middle. We're seeing them scheme people up a little bit. I think that's amazing. When you see Jalen Warren early in the game, you throw a little dump down to him and he goes 70 yards plus. Aaron has a little wry smile on his face. He's kind of smirking like, hey, here we go. It's all, it's a 70-yard TD in the books. But right here, like what a laser across the middle. These are not easy. And I feel like Aaron's getting rid of the ball quickly. Look, we have empty formations at times. Like, they are moving around. I think Aaron, they mentioned it during the broadcast, too. He may have told J.J. beforehand he feels as good as he has felt in a long time. So, this play right here, I think, is when J.J. started referencing this. Yeah, as he's getting out of the pocket here, making things happen, a la Aaron Rodgers, like 2012, pretty much. Yeah, how is he allowed to do this still? What do you mean? How is this even possible? You've got to go upfield shoulder. You know, you're facing an athlete like that. If I'm rushing him, I've got to go. Upfield shoulder so he can't escape out here. You see him skipping. Go back to the end of that. Even he knew how absurd it was. Third and two, fourth quarter, two-point game. If you go back to the end of that thing, he's looking back. Look at him looking back. Who knows? He's like, Mike McCarthy, go ahead, press play. Oh, yeah. That was absurd. What a ball. Look at him. Watch him in the corner here. Are you kidding me? This guy's 42 years old. He might as well be 100 in NFL years. He looks bright. I think that all comes from, like, a confidence in what the offense can be, what it should be. Stepping up and throwing that. It's also the protection tone. I think that's a big deal here now. They have an offensive line that's worth a damn. Is that how you, Yinzer, are viewing it? And how do you feel on this beautiful overreaction Monday? I didn't get a chance to fully experience you potentially happy as an NFL Steelers fan. Yeah, feeling great. And my apologies. I thought my mic was muted. Just cleared my throat directly into that a couple minutes ago. Feeling great this morning. As you talked about, the offensive line change. The first two games against the Falcons and then the Patriots. The offensive line was very, very bad. Then they changed the right guard, right tackle. So, the last three games, they're averaging 29 points per game, which is good for sixth in NFL. They're averaging over 350 yards a game. They've done that all three of the last three games. They only did that three times last year. They've scored over 30 points twice now. The highest they've been as an offense, in total offense, the last seven years, was 23rd. So, like, now that we're seeing this and we're seeing points and we're seeing them convert on third downs, before this mute, the touchdown that they're throwing right now, they went for it on a fourth and two. That last year surely would have been a field goal attempt in that situation. So, Big Mike's doing things that we haven't seen in a long time. It just feels really good because it feels like we're finally in the 2020s as far as NFL offense is concerned. Jalen Warren, number three in the league as far as total yards behind Bijan and Gibbs. So, he's been unbelievable, number one in yards after contact. Yeah, it feels really good now that the O-line's playing, Rodgers is playing, joining Ben and Terry. Things are feeling really, really good. We're out of steel time. Now, D-Butt, with Aaron throwing the ball down the field in a back that's explosive, that puts the defense in a bind and can get far behind. Are we worried about the Colts' defense in general? I'm definitely worried about the Colts' defense in general. You want a stud, you want a star. They kind of only had a few big, like, explosive plays. You saw the Warren, a couple to Warren and the one to Bernard late. So, limited explosive plays. But offensively, weren't able to run the ball. So, yeah, definitely have some concerns about the Colts' offense. But, yeah, the Steelers' offense. You talked about the O-line. The AQ had a bunch of questions about them coming into the season. And now they made some significant changes. They're playing much better. I'll be worried about them even getting better because D.K. Metcalf hasn't kind of taken that real lid off the defense. So, when you have to worry about number four out there going deep and then 30 being explosive, that's when they can really get ugly. Kind of like the old days with A.B. and Le'Veon Bell on that offense. But I can't believe Aaron is moving around as well as he can. A.J. talked about this play right here, the upfield. You're not thinking. You're not thinking about the upfield show. You're thinking about a 42-year-old statue quarterback. But he's still doing his old shit. And you see the little old man grin after like he got away with something. So, big-time players, man. I like what they're doing right now. Ty, Aaron knew he was coming into his final year here. You know, it's been pretty well documented. He's in, hopefully, pre-pregnancy right now. He's been pretty open. What is that? Pre-pregnancy? It's like phase zero. I haven't heard that term. You're just banging, getting ready. Oh, is that right? Is that what it is? I don't know. He said like this time next year he'll have a kid or will be expecting a child. So, we have to congratulate him on it. On pre-pregnancy. Exactly. Yeah. This is a twinkling of the eyes. Yeah. That's what I'm saying. So, he came into the year in pre-pregnancy. But also, everybody kind of knowing that he was done. I think that can rally a locker room, actually. I think that can rally a locker room. But I think it can bring out. The best in Aaron, especially. Yeah, here we go. Al Michael says on Info Prime, Aaron Rodgers told them a year from now, he'll either be tending to his pregnant wife or be taking care of his people. He's in pre-pregnancy. So, we are very happy for him. We are very excited for him. And we are wishing him luck. Have you confirmed this quote from Aaron? Because a lot of these announcers are just getting in the booth, just spewing shit now. They're saying something. They're coming out the next day. I wouldn't do that. Oh, I agree with that. I think I'll make that up, D-Bot. I just want to know if you heard it from Aaron. He's faking love. I'm tired of middlemen. All right. Well, I said Aaron Flacco. Flowers for no reason, if it's made up. Well, did he respond? A.J., maybe you can get to the bottom of the pre-pregnancy thing. But, Todd, Aaron Rodgers, like, the retirement year, I think it matters because I think there have been so many questions. And I don't want to say he was ever half in or half out, but maybe he had been mentally or even physically going into a season. It felt pretty early in this offseason. Everybody knew this was his final thing, and he was going to give it everything he had. I think that's a weapon for the Steelers as well, Todd. Yeah, I would agree. Kind of just like a sense of clarity almost that we've kind of talked about that he's had the last couple years. But I think, I mean, he told us, too, that a massive part of that because he was kind of, you know, basically deciding if he did want to just retire or come back. And then they hire Big Mike, and it's like, okay, done deal. Not that he feels like he has unfinished business with him because they won a Super Bowl, but there's got to be something comforting in knowing, hey, I can tell this guy exactly what I want to say, and he doesn't have to worry about what's being reported in the media because they're very good with how they're and how their relationship is. That's why both of them kind of just, you know, last week when they're yelling at each other on the sideline, it's just like, whatever. You know, Big Mike says, that's the love language of Pittsburgh. You know, it's like these guys actually do love each other, and I think they cherish and relish the opportunity to kind of turn back the clock a little bit and make another run at it because he hasn't had an offense like this since, you know, like, what, maybe five years ago in Green Bay? Yeah, exactly. Yeah, 2020, 2021. Aaron Rodgers has three-plus pass TDs in three straight games for the first time since his 2021 MVP season with the Packers, and it felt like that whenever he was watching yesterday. And that little scamper, I didn't love it. The Colts are 2-10 in their last bowl. On the up-and-up. The offense looked solid for a good portion of that game. Yeah, I understand what you're saying. They're solid, solid, solid, solid, solid, solid. Tyler Warren. Yeah, Tyler Warren's great. Give you a third. Give you a third for him. Whoa, we're not dealing yet. Eh, maybe. Jonathan Taylor, unbelievable at football. I don't like – now, listen. I didn't love the way Jonathan Taylor decided to handle how he got his last contract with everything going on with the Colts after having the number four overall pick with a first-year head coach, first-year quarterback, him being by far our best player, and how, you know, the training camp went down. He gets the deal. Congrats to him on getting that done. Since then and before then, what Jonathan Taylor is on a football field is he's criminally under-talked about and undervalued, but it's because the Colts never win anything. We never win anything. Deebo, we're never going to win anything. Are we never going to win anything ever again? 12 years, AFC South. I mean, we have a good team. I thought Dimes was it. He led us to the number one offense last year. He's coming back. We traded away Michael Pittman. Don't like that at all. We pay Alec Pierce. He's hurt. He can't play. We got an offensive line that I think we like. We got a tight end that I think we like. We put a lot of money into the defense. A lot of money. There's a lot of money in this roster. The expectations should be high. What is going? Why do we stink? I don't like it. I don't like it. One big thing. That's a huge, huge question. And, look, Carly's on the sideline every game trying to figure it out. She's in practice trying to figure it out. You know what? I got faith in Carly and the girls to figure it out and get this thing turned around. So, no, I don't think we're going to stink forever. You know, there was a time where the Colts stunk before Peyton got here and then things got on up and up. Maybe Danny Dimes is still the guy. You know, maybe we just got to get healthy. Maybe a lot of things got to happen. But right now it's ugly. But we are two and three, and it's early, but we can still make it. What was the last year you felt great about the Colts? What was the last great year you had? Last year. Last year, the start. Yeah, you're right. That's about week eight. It wasn't great. Full year he's talking about. I mean, like, at the end of the season, you're like, you know what? That was a pretty solid season for these guys. Phil Rivers lost to Buffalo by three points. Yeah. In the playoffs. Knew we had no chance of winning the Super Bowl. We got the dance and do or die moment. Probably luck. Luck's last year. Because he had a very, very good year. Then obviously he retired that preseason the following year. But at least me as a fan, I'm like, oh, shit. You know, take the luck. We don't need a power one. Hey, that's the last time, AJ. Great question. And they got the Titans next week. Yeah. Get a good draft pick, maybe. Holy hell. They're in trouble, I think. We are, too. Let's not get into it. We're going to make it crazy. But there is some real problems. Let's get a number two headline. We hit the Steelers for tone. Then, ladies and gentlemen, Drake may be all the way back. And so is the pack. Toxic Table, congrats to you, lads. Thank you. Okay. Just congratulations to you guys. We'll start with you, Boston Connor and the New England Patriots. I do think you always thought that Drake would be able to get out of the funk that he was in and the Patriots would be able to be good. I don't know if we all expected it to happen as overnight as it seemingly has happened, but a huge win over the Raiders. Vinatieri goes into the ring of honor. He talks some shit, does his thing. Feels like the Patriots all the way back to where you guys were at the end of last season when he thought you could potentially win the Super Bowl. Where are you at mentally as a Patriots fan after a dominating performance? Yeah, I think it's even better than last year. That was – yesterday was the best Drake May game, you know, I think we've ever seen. Talking about the Colts and all these other teams, I feel bad for people who are fans of teams that don't have a Hall of Fame quarterback. It really must – Suck because what we watched yesterday was insane. No A.J. Brown, he's done. Romeo Dobbs only had one catch for 16 yards. This guy threw for 374 yards and four touchdowns. Like, what he's working with right now as far as weapons on the outside and even, you know, running the football. Armandre's been good, but Trevion got hurt in this game and it didn't matter. I mean, he was putting the ball wherever he wanted to. Guy's stepping up. Efton Chisholm III. Kyle Williams here, who's basically the number six wide receiver. On the depth chart, he went for 391 in a touchdown. Like, the way that Drake May is playing is remarkable. We're talking about the Vegas Raiders, too. Like, they're not a bad football team. They're very good. The teams that New England has beaten are actually 9-2 against everybody else they've played. Like, the Patriots are very, very legit. It was a tough start to the season, but like you just said, it has happened overnight. The offensive line has been very good. Will Campbell, he got banged up. Next man up. First-round pick, Caleb Lomu came in and he looked great at left tackle. Hunter Henry's catching touchdowns. Like, it really is the best vibes we've probably had since before the Super Bowl last year, but I would fully expect to see the Patriots making a massive run, especially with the defense they have and how well they're playing with guys who are hurt. We're all really happy for you, Massholes. You should be. And then let's talk about the Cheeseheads. Ty, what a different vibe, I assume, from you on this particular Monday than. Those of the past. A lot of questions, you know. And Jordan Love is getting a lot of love right now on the internet, and a lot of people are saying, how come we haven't talked about Jordan Love the way we deserve to be talking about Jordan Love? It's like, because I do think there were some moments in some games where it's like, are the Packers going to win? Are they going to lose? They don't make the play. They end up losing. Now they're taking on the Bears, who Ben Johnson could have anybody play quarterback at an exceptional level, and you guys behind them. Absolute drumming of the Chicago Bears. How's it feel, Ty? And what are your thoughts right now on this pack? I like the uniforms, as opposed to maybe two weeks ago, Ty. Yeah, it feels absolutely phenomenal today, and I think a lot of people, you know, Packers fans especially, have been like, why are you being so negative? And one, it's the expectations, but two, it's just the way you feel after watching some of these games, you know, squeaking past the Jets in overtime, and then Jalen Daniels' first start. This is the first game of the year that the Packers felt like they were ready to play from the first whistle. They were way more disciplined, and then you mentioned it with love. He was just, he was on. He was on, and Christian Watson has slowly but surely kind of established himself as one of the best receivers in the NFL. They didn't squander their opportunities. They forced five Bears turnovers, and that was kind of the issue with the games last year. I think the Bears in the Ben Johnson era, they've only led the Packers for one minute and 45 seconds of game time, and that's over the course of five games, but they've won three of them, and this is finally, you know, they get out to a big lead, and instead of just, run, run, run, punt, they continue to be aggressive, and they kept throwing it downfield. Love was amazing, 26-31. This is kind of the guy everyone expected him to be coming into this year, and the guy that they needed him to be if they were going to make a deep run into the playoffs. Matthew Golden's coming into form. So is Tucker Kraft. The line blocked better, and then again, the defense. You have four sacks, and you, you know, create five turnovers. You're going to win a lot of football games, so I think at the end of this run, you know, even for how bad it's kind of looked, to kind of cap it with this big win over the Bears, and now there is that feeling of, okay, Micah is going to be back. They weathered the storm. So, yeah, if you're a Packers fan, me especially, like, I'm feeling phenomenal this morning. Ty, whenever you think about Micah coming back, what's the projections there? Because we heard Dallas Cowboys Sunday night football matchup, and then there had been, like, a week ahead, week behind. He looked like he had good juice whenever we were walking on the sideline yesterday. So he hasn't practiced. There has been talk that he's going to practice. This week, but we mentioned it on Friday with Rap Sheet, I think, that Schneidman saw him at practice on the other field, and he was basically running full speed. But I think it is one of those things when we talked about it, you kind of got to slow roll him. Yeah, it'd be awesome for him to make his debut against the Cowboys on Sunday night football, but we saw the way this team went into the tank when he wasn't fully healthy. So whatever it takes for him to be 100%, whether that's this week on Sunday night football or the following week against the Lions, but I do think he's going to be back within the next week or two. I said, Saw you put him on a train on some AI slop. Yep, had to. I like what you're doing. He is a choo-choo, isn't he, especially when he gets on that field. And rest in peace to Nelson Tobrin. That's right, the Nelson Tobrin game. Never forget. We'll remember him for a long time. I can't believe you guys did that to the Bears, okay? I can't believe you did that. I did appreciate the moment of silence, though, in Green Bay. Arch rival Mike Dicke, that was a beautiful moment. Sports are wonderful. And the number one headline coming out of the Week 5 NFL Sunday slate, we are back in the Pound the Rock era, okay? Let's talk about 100-yard rushers. Bucky Irving, Braylon Allen, Aaron Jones, Jalen Warren, Jameer Gibbs, Derrick Henry, all a part of Dubs, all running for over 100 yards. A position that had kind of been cast aside for a while in this wide open, throw the ball all over the yard offense. Running backs are needed, but mostly out of the backfield in little screens and wheel routes. Now we're back to pounding the damn ball. And if you look at some of the college formations that are happening, it feels like we're only at the beginning of this cycle back into rushing the rock. A.J., I like to see it. I love to see what's going on. We've been waiting for this, Pat. We've been waiting for this, haven't we? We've been talking about, like, we're all basketball on grass. People used to call it spread them out. You've got to make them defend every blade of grass or every blade of field turf like everybody plays on now. So it doesn't apply always when you say that. But, yeah, I think – and they made a lot of – they were talking a lot about this Raven squad without losing Ricard. How are they going to be able to run the ball? Are they going to be as physical? And they showed yesterday that they definitely can be. But I think when you – like, Jameer Gibbs, when you watch these tailbacks, a lot of them, even their second, third guys sometimes on a team, they're like characters from a video game, how they can move, how powerful they are, and also how they finish. Like Aaron Jones, they've got to run – when he finished into the end zone for the Vikings, like right here, like are you kidding me? He makes contact on the four-yard line pretty much and runs his – drives his legs. Like that's a clip you show young kids. Hey, you want to – when we talk about finishing with the ball, that's what we were talking about right there. Finish in the end zone on top of this dude. Pause if you need to, whatever, however people are speaking. But that's what we're looking for when we talk about physicality, I think. People are speaking that way. We got two more tonight too. You talk about obviously the quarterbacks with Josh Allen, Matt Stafford. Both of those offense kind of start with – with those run games with Kyra Williams and then James Cook. So, yeah, as much as you're talking to these quarterbacks or the defenses, defensive coordinators, players, over the years it's always, hey, we got to stop the run. We got to stop the run first because running the ball for an offense, that's how you really control the tempo for the game. And that's also how you just destroy the soul of a defense. If you just can line up and pound the rock for 30, 40 times with one or two backs, that's terrible. I'd rather that than a fucking quarterback coming out throwing for 500 yards, man. So I can't wait to see the match. I can't wait to see the matchup tonight. But, yeah, the running backs are all the way back. And it feels like this generation of running backs, to your point, A.J., I think they like showcasing that they're not soft. Yep. I think there have been a lot of comments about maybe the younger generation and the way football had got that maybe they're not tough. These dudes are looking to hit people. And I – I mean, Jeremiah Love is the next one we all think, right, going to be. Yeah. If you can say – he was looking for contact in the preseason game. I think these guys relish that opportunity. I respect it. I appreciate it. It's going to put a lot of focal points. It's going to put a lot of focal points on offensive lines and defensive lines as we get down the stretch into important games. Joining us now is a man who might have a little bit more information about one particular backfield, maybe the Philadelphia Eagles' backfield, as they have seemingly six guys injured for that running back position. Joining us, senior NFL insider for ESPN and NFL Network, ladies and gentlemen, Adam Schefter. Yes, Jeremy. Gentlemen, what's going on? Hey, great to see you. You look fantastic. Happy Monday. Can't wait to get your take on tonight's Monday Night Football game. You reported about Will Shipley suffering. A partial tear of his plantar fascia during Sunday's loss to the Jaguars. I had a Will Shipley anytime touchdown and Jaguars win, so I really enjoyed the end of that and him getting the first touchdown for the Eagles. But they're in trouble in Philadelphia outside just the running back position. What are you hearing around that entire team, Schefter? Well, right now they're shorthanded there. You got Will Shipley. Looks like he's going to miss some period of time. We'll see how long. Obviously, he'll go through testing. Tank Bigsby is on IR. Taequann, when he ran out of bounds, obviously, they think it'll be under four weeks. Otherwise, they would have put him on IR, and they didn't do that. But, again, to think that he'd be back this week sounds like it would be ambitious. But let's see how the practice week goes, and clearly, Will Shipley won't be there. So, right now, you got Damian Pierce back there in the backfield. It's going to be a situation where they're going to have to find more running backs, and they're going to be in a tough spot here as they try to snap that losing streak that they're currently on. It's getting real loud for Sirianni. It's always loud for Sirianni. Any thoughts on Philadelphia's current state of life? You know, listen, I understand why you'd say that. These are two tough losses. But I also would look at it at the flip side and say, here's a team that went into London to play the Jaguars, minus Lane Johnson having traded away Cam Juergens, no Devontae Smith, no Saquon Barkley, no Tank Bigsby, and they should have won the game. I mean, they should have won the game. They had a real chance to do it, and they didn't. So, I view it almost, in a way, where you can take positive elements out of a loss that had to be very disappointing for this team. And they're in a division where there wasn't a single team that won a game this weekend in the NFC East. The Cowboys got embarrassed at home Thursday night. They lose to Tampa in an undrafted free-agent quarterback. You have the Washington Commanders and Giants playing to the tie, and the Eagles losing in London to Jacksville playing a good game, just not getting it done in the end. Yeah, we haven't even talked about it. Watch that Commanders-Giants thing. Hilarious. You haven't touched it yet? Oh, boy. What are you waiting for? Well, just like. So, I'm going to call timeout. Or, you know, maybe somebody or some group thinking that there's another overtime. You know, that was kind of my thought, is the way they were acting there, so cavalier and casual. It's like, oh, they must think that there's another overtime coming. And I think Dan Orlovsky mentioned this. A lot of people. A lot of people mentioned, like, what is being told to Jalen Daniels whenever that whole situation's happening from a coaching standpoint, but also, Jalen Daniels, come on, bud. Like, we view you in such high regard. I think we're all excited you were back. You can't not know that as a starting quarterback in the NFL, what the situation is. I think that's on Jalen and, obviously, on the coaching staff. And then for Scadaboo, what? Scadaboo doesn't do that ever. I mean, he got bailed out with what Jalen ended up doing. But Bruce Brown sent a text in a group. It was like, the fact that Scadaboo doesn't have to do that, to have the most embarrassing and tough play of that entire game is absurd. Scadaboo must be living right, Bruce. That's the only takeaway that I got from this entire thing. Yeah, I mean, it was an incredible comeback from Jameis to force OT. And then, you know, we had the game won, and it felt like Scadaboo had a season-altering fumble only to be outdone by the Jaden Daniels kind of brain lock on the other side. So, grateful to escape with a tie here after Scadaboo seemingly fumbled it away. Yeah, Jaden, I apologize. I quote him, and I think Jaden is such a good quarterback and good player that when I'm watching this happen, I'm just so befuddled. I thought maybe the score bug had it wrong on the timeouts. I'm like, certainly Fox doesn't know how many timeouts Jaden knows. So, that was my takeaway. I think we were all surprised by it. But, yeah, the NFC East football is something, Shefty. I can tell you that having watched that play back now a dozen times, roughly, maybe more, I think there are so many confounding, elements to it. You have a team that essentially runs a play. First of all, there were 55 seconds left. 55 when they were coming to the line. So, not only that, but you had all the downs you needed. You had all the time you needed. You knew you didn't have any timeouts, and they're putting guys in motion. If you watch the play, there are guys in motion, and they're changing the play. I don't know what's going on there. Alex Smith, Rex Ryan, Dominic. Fox with this one. They're like, the coach has got to yell twice. Twice. Hey, we're spiking the ball. There's got to be a coach that knows the situation. Situational football. We're coming up. We're going to get ready. They're taking their time. They're stepping to the line. Let's watch. Let's send a man in motion. Let's call a play. Like, what are we doing? It's second down. There's no timeouts. Even if you complete this pass in the flat, time runs out and the game is over then. And so, I think, again, we've got a rookie. We've got an inexperienced offensive coordinator who probably has not been in a spot like that in his life. We've got a defensive-minded head coach who maybe could have stepped in at some point in time. We've got a young quarterback. When you have a breakdown of this sorts, there is blame to go around for everybody. Everybody gets some blame here. It's not on Jayden Daniels specifically. It's not on Dan Quinn. It's on everybody. I mean, we've got Magic Johnson. You've got one of the minority owners. He's tweeting out. Awesome. I mean, that's unbelievable. Like, when does that happen? But, you know, Magic can do it. Yeah, with Magic, it's going to happen. I think that is something that's going to happen. He always gets right to the point, too. Oh, yeah. And we appreciate him being so transparent as an owner in the NFL. But, yeah, I think they thought there was another overtime. Like, it was quarters. I think they – that's what I think. Just with how casual they were with everything. That's what I think, D-Buck. And I know that's not good. I'm just saying, like, I think that that's the thought. I mean, boy, even if you did think it, you still have a chance to win it before. or take the lead if you think – like everyone knows the rules. No, I think they thought it was – I think they thought it was next score wins and I think they thought just we'll have another – we'll go down the other end. We'll flip the side here and we'll just keep going. That's what I think. I mean – To Schefter's point, motions, chilling, hands in – I mean, the most comfortable I've ever seen a starting quarterback less than a minute tie game in overtime. I'm like, man, this guy's cold-blooded, bro. Then you start watching and it's like, oh, they definitely think that this just goes until somebody – I think they didn't even have a clue that a tie was possible in 40 seconds. I know he's cool and he's confident, but that was crazy. Okay, let's talk about another crazy game last night. Snoop Huntley certainly deserves some conversation for every time he steps in and does what he does. But on the other side, Tua gets dropped in in overtime and we had Jalen Hurts, Tua, reliving in the documentary. And it turns out not going that way at all. Goes the complete opposite. Tua steps in. He leads the Atlanta Falcons, has a completion. Has two completions, then has the most obvious interception of Kyle Hamilton in the history of this particular season. D-Bot has a question for you, Schefter. Yeah, Michael Penix Jr., he was having a solid game, got knocked out of the game, took a rib shot, came out after the game and said, hey, maybe if we got the ball first I would have went, but I got cold. What's the update there with the Falcons starting quarterback? Going to have an MRI on those ribs today. He said, after the game it was not a season-ending injury, which it does not look like it's a long-term injury, but that MRI of his ribs will tell the story. Clearly he was in a lot of pain and I think he went to the sideline and whatever it is, it tightened up on him. He felt it more. Some of the adrenaline wore off, couldn't come back in and finish the game and they're not the same team without him. I think we've seen how valuable Michael Penix is to this Falcons team. When he's out there, they're a different team. That was a big shot that he took there late in the fourth quarter. He could not come back in. He said after the game that if they had gotten the ball first, he would have come back in. I mean, that's a big shot that he took. And so we'll see if he's going to miss any time. He doesn't think it'll be a long-term injury, but it wouldn't surprise anybody. You know, ribs, I don't know. You wear a flak jacket, you shoot it up, you do whatever you got to do to get out there, but he's obviously got something going on with his ribs. Yeah, sad sight putting that towel over his head for all of us. Yeah. That is what we thought and started to see with this particular, uh, Falcons team with him at the helm, him getting injured is the only thing that everybody says will hold him back in his entire career. So that's an unfortunate thing. Hopefully he is healthy, but if he ends up not missing any time, I mean, there's going to be people talk about him coming out over time and losing that losing and to a stepping in there and just immediately saying, well, didn't he say, didn't he say like, knowing me, I'll be back next week or I'll be back soon. Knowing me. I love that. I love that confidence in himself. I don't knowing how I heal. I'm going to be there. Well, I think people would say, why would he end? But I think those two guys talking to him or potentially holding him back. D but, cause I think I hear what you're saying as well. There is. Yeah. I mean, look, it's injury. So you got to take injury series. You don't know what that person's dealing with. Like you said, the medical staff there could have said, Hey, we're going to run these tests. We don't want to send you back. It's too dangerous. Great job. I Snoop Hundley and the Ravens taking all that time to get down there and actually get in scoring position. But, uh, yeah, it's going to be tough for some people. Maybe some fans, maybe some teammates, if like you said, he is back out there in practice, uh, next week, but you never know what guys are dealing with quarterbacks, whatever, but yeah, big, big shot. But when you come out and say, you know, I would've got the ball first, I would've went out there or knowing me, I'll be back. It'll be tough. Especially when, you know, tool comes in and does what he does. That's going to be a tough look, but we'll see. We'll let it all play out. Yeah. And also once again, the two people that were talking to him very clearly on TV, they could have been telling me, yeah, right. We're not letting you out there at all. So this could have been taken completely out of his hands, but if he's healthy, we all think they're going to be a good. If he's not healthy, massive question marks for Kevin Stefanski what yet again, it's quarterback position, uh, congrats to the Ravens. Snoop Huntley. Fantastic. Love everything about that. Connor has follow up on Baltimore. Yeah. Shefty Snoop did great, but obviously the team is Lamar's. What is Lamar's situation here? Is he going to be back next week? He's just, is this just a one week injury? And then Cam Jurgens, will he be expected to start next week at center as well? With Lamar, you know, it's interesting is last week. Right around this time, I had somebody tell me that they thought even with the sprained ankle that Lamar would wind up playing Sunday night, uh, was repeated later in the week and they left open the door that he could play and obviously they ruled them out Friday. So there was some hope earlier in the week last week that he was going to be out there knowing the things that I heard last week. My sense is he's going to have a realistic chance to play this week, Lamar, and he'll have an opportunity to be back out there against the Cleveland Browns and a game in which they are expected. They're expected to get Cam Jurgens to make his Baltimore Ravens debut a week after they traded for him. So Jurgens will be out there. I think there's a realistic chance that Lamar is out there and we'll see how they fare against the Browns who have played pretty good football lately. Hey Ty, we love that Lamar Snoop Huntley tag team. It feels like we've been watching it for 10 years, Ty Schmidt. Yeah, it's unbelievable. I mean, I think his record is eight and nine when he gets a backup duty, but, uh, you know, like this guy should be a starting quarterback somewhere. He really should. It's just, you know, you look at what Malik Willis, uh, has done or what he got in Miami. Like Shefty, is there a chance that someone trades for this guy? I mean, I obviously, I know that, you know, the Baltimore isn't just going to give him up, but like the, I feel like this guy is one of the 32 best quarterbacks in the NFL and it feels like it's been like that. Anytime he comes in, he usually performs. Well, I, I think I've always been a Snoop Huntley fan and he played well last night. He looked like he looked like he lost some weight. He looked like he's faster. He looked very sharp and effective last night. Uh, he's been out there so many times that I don't know that anybody views him as a starter, but he's a, he's a perfect backup for Lamar. Like he's in a great spot right now. And that's what I would expect to be a continuation of the case with him backing up Lamar. That, that's what I think will be the case. He's a former pro bowler. People forget. That's right. As a backup quarterback who would go on to be a starting quarterback, uh, obviously teams have a book on them now at this point, getting a huge win in prime time. So, uh, I think it's going to be a special for him and for the Ravens. Now, I want to let you know what you did this weekend was hilarious. D-Bud has a question for you. Yeah. Announcing the Marvin Harrison trade and just leave it out there for everyone to guess. That was absolute cinema. But how did that trade go down behind the scenes? You know, that was amazing because again, I, I, I saw some of these comments on what, what do people want us to do? Like that was the situation. Like he was told he was inactive. He was told he's being traded. I think we all suspected that it was going to be the Houston Texans. We linked to them right away and we put out, I thought it was the Colts. Okay. Well, I, I never mentioned the Colts. I did mention the Texas from the jump and so, and so like people think you're holding like, no, no, no, I, I need, I need to be able to report the team. You need somebody to say, we're getting this done. Nobody in Arizona was saying Houston. Nobody in Houston was saying Houston. So if I put out there, he's being traded to Houston. And then all of a sudden they play the game Sunday. And then let's just say Houston loses and they decide to back out and they trade them to the Colts. Then you're wrong, right? So this was always the, I was surprised by this. He was being traded. We put out the information we had and he was right. Oh, you're trying to give Arizona market. No, we're not. You were surprised. The, the, the, the trade was constant. Yeah. It was consummated. Basically it was in the works. The parameters were essentially agreed to, I guess. And then D'Amico Ryan's comes out to the game. We're trading for Marvin Harrison. That's it. So there it is. So I thought, and sorry, AJ, I assume what had happened was you found out that they are trading him because he's not with the team. Okay. So that's huge news. You have to report that. I found out they were trading. I found out they were trading him because they told him he was inactive and that they were dealing him. Yeah. And you have to report that. Obviously you have to report that news that Marvin Harrison, one of the biggest names around the NFL wide receiver, a lot of different things happening in the world of football with wide receivers, Marvin Harrison, Jr. and football as a whole. So you had to report that he was going to be out, I think. And then the reasoning for why he's out, he's getting traded, but you didn't know exactly who he's getting traded to. How many times has this happened? Does this happen often? Because I think the reason why the reaction was what it was, because I don't remember this happening. And I understand that you had to report that he was going to be out, but I don't think we've ever heard like he's going somewhere. I don't think we've ever heard. Here's the thing. Here's the thing. What made it like, again, there are trades that come together, but they often don't come together up against a game. So when the player is being informed that he's not going to play in a game that he's practiced for a week and he's being sent home because they're working out a trade. Am I supposed to just leave that? Like, okay, I'm not, I got to wait to find out the team now and the trade being final before we report it. Like, no, he's not playing in the game. So the next day when he was on the inactive list and he wasn't playing, what happened tomorrow? Oh, he's being traded. Well, where's he being traded? So that time clock was sped up to the day before I, again, we put out Houston right away as a team that had been involved in that's where I thought he was. He was going, but I spoke to people in Houston, which I put in the tweet. We cannot confirm or deny. which, to me, is we're confirming. When I say we cannot confirm or deny, we're confirming, okay? So I don't know what else there could have been done. We suggested Houston. We said Houston's denying it. Arizona's not commenting. You're trying to get the confirmation that the trade is in place. Nobody's saying anything. Got it. Okay, so you had to report that he was going to be out, and you had the information that you had, but you didn't have a guarantee on the other side. I think you did it good, but we've never seen it before, so the reaction was going to be the reaction. A.J. has a follow-up on this particular realm of Convo. Sheffy, any other big-time trades on the horizon that you may be snooping around that you think could happen over the next couple weeks? Well, you know, here's the great part, is that the league has gone trade crazy. And we look back at the number of trades that have been made from October 1st to the trade deadline, and our great researcher, Evan Kaplan, dug up the numbers for me over the weekend, and we've had double-digit trades. And they've gone up dramatically over the last 10 years. I think we've averaged the last two years from October 1st to the trade deadline 17 trades per year. We've gotten four over the last two weeks since the beginning of October. So we're probably sitting and waiting on roughly 10 or so more trades between now and the November 10 trade deadline. And I think the teams that you look at are the teams that aren't winning, that can shed salaries and pick up draft picks. Like, who stands out on that list? Well, Miami. Okay, well, who would be tradable on their roster? I would say most of the players, if somebody wants them. The Chargers, 0-5, the name that jumps out there to me is Khalil Mack. Like, he's in the last year of his career. Now, they love Khalil Mack, but why are you holding on to Khalil Mack if all of a sudden you're 1-7, or whatever the record is, and there is another team offering you a pick? So, to me, that's a player that I'd be watching. You know, Arizona, Josh Sweat is a player I'd be watching. Tennessee, right now, 0-5. Tony Pollard in the last year of his contract. If there's a team out there that needs a running back, wouldn't it make sense to call Tennessee and offer something for Tony Pollard? So, to me, that's where it gets interesting with some of these teams out there right now. Like, a lot of these teams are still fighting to save their season, and they believe they can turn it around. Houston is 1-4, and they're still trading a 2 for Marvin Harrison. And I'll bet you that all those teams in the NFC South, they're one game out of first place. So, the NFC East is all bunched together. Teams aren't really resigned to where the Chargers are 0-5, and the Dolphins are 0-5, and the Texans are 0-5. I think we know where those seasons seem to be headed. But everybody else fighting to stay alive here, and I would expect there's going to be a lot of trade calls. Okay, so there's a few teams that are 0-5. They'll be sellers, we assume, especially if there's one year left on a contract. Let's try to get something for it. But also, for that player, why don't you go ahead and try to play for something this season? Maybe it's good for both sides. Let's not just talk about the players potentially getting changed in situations. Tone has a question for you about Los Angeles, this beautiful city I'm in right now. Yeah, Shefty, I mean, what's happening versus what the expectations were are insane right now. And obviously, when that happens, you look to see if there's going to be changes in the coaching staff. Obviously, they bring in Mike McDaniel as the new offensive coordinator. It's clearly not working. Is there any changes coming with any of the coordinator positions with the Chargers potentially? I don't know that they make him in season. Look, when you're winless, at some point in time, something gives somewhere. But again, we went over the Chargers staff last week. I don't know who's handling the offense if they're firing Mike McDaniel. Adam Gase is the passing game coordinator. Are we going to make him the offensive coordinator? You could do that. But at this point in time, I think that they believe that they could hopefully turn it around. Get things back on track. Justin Herbert just doesn't look comfortable out there. He just doesn't look comfortable with what's going on. Taking a lot of hits. They're not producing a lot of yards. They're not winning games. And you know what? It reminds me of Trevor Lawrence was in this spot a couple of years ago. And all of a sudden, a new staff came in, salvaged him. And now Trevor Lawrence looks like one of the best quarterbacks in football. And that's just where Justin Herbert's at. He's still, in my mind, one of the best quarterbacks in football. But he's just not playing that way. Yeah, that pick he threw yesterday was gross, I think, is how people would describe it. And I had such high hopes for McDaniel and Herbert teaming up. And then the mic, that right there, that's just gross. I've debutted, I assume, for some trickery that happened there with the Denver Broncos. But at this stage of Herbert's career, you would hope that he wouldn't be able to get fooled that easily in this particular situation. But Herbert and McDaniel were his dream come true. Harbaugh-McDaniel, hilarious duo. We had such high hopes. Such big dreams. And it's all just completely crumbled in five weeks. Okay, let's pivot to tonight, Adam Schefter. What do we need to know about Bill's Rams out here in SoFi, Monday Night Football, Monday Night Countdown, starting 6 p.m. Eastern? Well, two former MVPs squaring off against each other. The last two NFL MVPs, Josh Allen, Matthew Stafford, which is great theater. Aaron Donald's going to be back for the Rams. Jalen Watson will be back for the Rams. Kobe Parkinson. We'll be back for the Rams. Christian Benford back for the Bills. I think the one injury question is DJ Moore. That lingers out there. He aggravated that shoulder injury that he's been playing with throughout the season. And I checked in over the weekend and was told that uncertainty surrounding him. So we don't know whether DJ Moore will or won't be out there tonight. But there's the two MVPs that we're looking at right now. Should be a high-powered matchup. And listen, these are great teams. Great teams. It wouldn't be a surprise if these two teams. Met in the Super Bowl. And it should be a great game. But, I mean, are we going to get another game as good as some of the games we saw this weekend? What we saw this weekend was incredible. Like, there were things that happened this week. It's unbelievable. Like, so, okay, tonight's the nightcap. We'll see how it works out. But what a weekend of football. What a weekend of football. You're right. And what a football life you have lived. We appreciate you every single Monday. You're the man. Ladies and gentlemen, senior NFL insider for ESPN and NFL Network, Adam Schefter. Hey, Schefter. Okay. So, we can't wait. Week five of the NFL slate wraps up tonight. College football had a hell of a weekend with an absolute banger down in Tuscaloosa that I got a chance to watch from the Saban suite. It was an honor to meet everybody down there. Julio, Bryce, you name it. There was stars. Ha-ha, Clinton Dix. Incredible meeting him. I don't want to leave anybody out. Definitely going to leave people out. It was nice to meet everybody and see everybody down there. I appreciate them. This Georgia Bulldogs team, though, was untested coming into this game. Alabama, obviously, had had a couple big-time wins. And Keelan Russell had had some incredible mental toughness to get some doves. This one came down the wire. It was a dogfight, how everybody predicted. Maybe a missed call in the end zone kind of changes some stuff on the pass interference. But Gunner stalked and makes some huge, huge throws that I don't think we would have seen in the past. And Kirby gets a win for Georgia. Not just Kirby. In Tuscaloosa for the first time since 2007. Diggs. What a night for Colby. College football down there in Tuscaloosa. But what a weekend as a whole. And to Sacramento State and Bowling Green, I will learn more. One thing I did learn, I'm not betting on Sacramento State ever again. Now, I do hope they continue to win, and I will try my best to learn about every single team out there. I apologize for saying that I know nothing about them. I'm just wishing and praying that they do that. That's on me. Should show more respect to those programs playing football. But I do know one thing I know is I've never put my money on Sacramento State. But I am going to learn about the team before I do that going forward. Anything that we missed from college ball tone that needs to be noted here as the first hour wraps up in the hour and ten minutes. Yeah, Alabama and Georgia was awesome. Those are just two of the best teams in college football. It was an incredible game. Obviously, you know, some of the things down the stretch went Georgia's way. It could have went either way. I was impressed with both of those teams. They ran the ball well. You know, it was a lower scoring, kind of like an old school Bama-Georgia. It felt really good. I love how DeBoer was so into it in there. Then you get Alabama. LSU and Kentucky. Kentucky wins again on the last play in overtime. IU comes back from being down double digits in the fourth quarter. UCLA knocks off of Oregon. It was a huge college football weekend. And just add some more chaos when you have no idea who's going to win each week and leads into an incredible weekend coming up as well. It was performing awesome as usual. Texas loses to Oklahoma. Everybody saw that coming, obviously. Indiana remains undefeated. They got 22 straight wins. Ohio State. Coming to Bloomington this weekend. Then Missouri. What? Everything that happens in college football is spectacular. Because it is unpredictable. Just completely unpredictable. There's no clue. And then Will Stein down there in Kentucky. Completely changing the culture. And then just schemes them here in overtime. Yeah, we'll go empty. Three by two. See you later. They just split like the Red Seas. I will go ahead and take advantage of that. They get another win. By one point. Back-to-back weeks in overtime. Kentucky's for real. Who's the next great team in the Big Ten? Who knows. Who's the number one team in the country? Right now it's Georgia. Will that remain? Who knows. College football alive and well. Just like the NFL. AJ, it's an honor to be going alongside this football season and talking into microphones, fella. Yeah, it is. I think I cannot predict anything, especially college football. I don't know who's going to win week to week. I've got to be honest. I've done pretty good at the location. Everything else needs to pick it up on the other side. We got Dan or Lawson. What's going on? Back in the Thunderdome is A.J. Hawk. He drove in from Ohio. I appreciate that. The toxic table at Boston Connor and at Ty Schmidt flying high after the weekend for the lads. Good for you, con man. Good for you, Ty Schmidt. Thank you. Thank you very much. You know, it's crazy how much a win can really just set you up for a beautiful week. It is nuts. You know, I'm almost fleeting feeling. I almost forgot about it. Yeah, and you were pretty bummed out the last couple weeks. It's nice to see you smiling, Connor. Everybody on Earth. Everybody's pumped up about UMass always having another team that could go on a long run, and it looks very evident early. Yeah, and they doubted us for a little, which makes it even better. You know, the first couple weeks of, you know, the New England Patriots stink were really fun for everybody, and now everyone has to just eat, poop, and piss. Jeez. The DraftKings LRAP just pops up. If you are of aid in the United States of America, because it's available everywhere, and you agree to gamble or trade responsibly and not like an asshole, we'd love for you to come. Join us on the best sportsbook on Earth, DraftKings. Now, let's go to one half of the hammer. Dad! Cowboys, APTown. What was the trend of Week 5 thus far, pal? So, actually, like, as far as, you know, dogs and favorites and over-unders, we were basically 500 on each of those. There hasn't been a huge trend this week. The home dogs didn't perform as well as they had been, but we're still looking for this trend. There are some trends for tonight. The last eight dogs in primetime have won and covered, but. The last time. The last 11 times an East Coast team is traveling West, they've lost every single time. So, you pick whichever your favorite one is tonight for those trends. You travel back in time coming out here, and the weather, there's a little bit of a rain and a drizzle. It's not certainly perfect L.A. weather, so maybe Buffalo feels a little bit more at home. But to your point, Hembo had a stat about primetime games and the dogs. Ravens plus three versus Falcons. Won, won, won, won, won, won, won, won. Lost, won. 7-1 underdog run in primetime since Week 3. It's got a nine-year NFL vet, Yukon Husky legend, Darius J. Butler. Why is that, you think? The big bright lights, whatever your favorite, becomes too much? Buttholes get puckered out there, D-Bud? That's probably part of it, but honestly, no clue. These games are game to game, week to week. No, no idea. I hate, you know, putting those together without actually watching these games and going back in time, but I'm not sure. But I'm definitely interested to see what's happening tonight with these two MVPs. Philadelphia Eagles could have won very easily, and it would be a whole different conversation today. Than what it is. And then the Washington Commanders and the Giants both had a win on a platter, and they chose to eat the platter instead of the win. Absolute tomfoolery. Dan Orlovsky, can you tell me a little bit about how the hell Mr. Daniels ends that game that way? I know there's people that are going to blame the coaches, going to blame the players. Should this be a blame on everything football? Dan, what do you think happened? Yeah, it certainly starts with the coaches. So, before you even get to the final draft, there's three different drives in the game when Washington has the chance to end the game, and they don't. The final drive in fourth quarter, there's a previous drive in overtime, and then the final drive. The lack of an all-out zero blitz plan was one of the reasons why they don't even get a kickoff to win in those two previous drives. To walk people through the final drive for Washington, this is how it often goes. When you start with the football, before you play it on the 55, when you start with the football, there's a conversation. We have to get to this minimum yard for the kick to have a chance, right? A minimum we have to get here. Then the ideal situation for our kicker is that, as far as a yardage. So, Washington gets to the minimum with 55 seconds left, no timeouts. 55 seconds. In the helmet, once that ball is snapped, you guys know this, ball gets snapped, play is over. 40-second clock starts, gets cut off at 15 seconds. In the quarterback's helmet, play clockwise. So, there's a 25-second window where they can be communicating to Jada Daniels. This is the plan. This is what we want to do. You're going to do this with the football or that with the football. Make sure everybody knows. The fact that they took 42 seconds to huddle up and obviously not communicate what the very clear plan is. Because I would imagine if they talked in the huddle and said, hey, we're going to run this play. Someone's like, hey, what do you mean we're going to run that play? You know, like, we don't have a timeout. And so, I just don't know how you can go from 55 seconds we've accomplished the minimum and then waste 42 seconds and obviously the game is over. I think they thought another quarter of overtime football was happening. Do you think that? You thought there was a fifth? I think they thought. I think they thought there was another. They put their sixes up after the end of it, too. They all raised their hands like this. They thought they were going to plus three and three. If you look at how casual they are. Everybody on the field is like, oh, you know, nothing. And so there's no way they're in the huddle. There was any form of a communication of like the urgency of the moment. There's no way. Now, they might have been right, though. I don't think it should end in a tie. So, I just would like to let the commanders know. Certainly, a terrible move. And you guys all look ridiculous. Look at the 10-yard line. You mean to tell me that receiver knows that they got to. No. No way. They all think another one's coming. The defense knew. I like that. John Harbaugh. All football. Hey. We're going to hammer that in. Would I love for Jaden to be the eraser here? Would I love for Jaden Daniels to like put on the Superman cape and save the day? In reality, of course. I think that's simplifying it. If you are a coach and you're not the play caller on offense or play caller on defense, like you have to be great in these moments and handling the management of the game in this moment. We spent years crushing Mike McCarthy for making mistakes like this. And so, as much as I'm a fan of Mike McCarthy, I'm a fan of Dan Quinn. Like, this certainly falls under his umbrella. Okay. So, let's talk about good football from a quarterback as opposed to bad football from an entire team. And the Scadaboo fumble, unbelievable as well. And they all learn from this. We'll continue to move forward. But I like how the commanders thought there was going to be, in my eyes, they thought there was going to be another quarter. There's no way NFL in 2026 can end in a tie. It can. I don't think it should be. I think this is where we need to go to a kickoff against each other. This is where we need to do, Oklahoma drills against each other. This is where we need jugs with offensive linemen trying to catch punts. This is where we need to determine a winner somehow. We need a shootout like the NHL. 40 yards for it. Okay, let's race. I like it. Especially in that weather. Helmet on. Maybe two shoulder pads on. Run into each other like the New Zealand. Yeah, the U.S. Yeah, no pads. We need something. We need something to get an end. So, for the commanders to think there's no way this game, ends in a tie. We are all on your side. But it does. And you look stupid. Now, there's a team that didn't look stupid at all. There's a quarterback that was getting kind of buried early in the season because of how great he was last year. Connor has a question for you about the Patriots being all the way back. And Drake may be a guy again. Yeah, Dan, obviously Drake may. I actually just got a text from Goodell. He's the AFC Player of the Week this week. Again, as far as offense goes. But what were they doing? That kind of made you think, OK, Drake may is going to win the MVP. And I can't use the schedule as an excuse this year like you did last year. Why were they so good without A.J. Brown? Romeo Dobbs really didn't do anything. But still, they were able to put up 45 points. What is it about this offense that just seemingly overnight flipped a switch and are back at the top of the league? I'd be unbelievably disappointed if you had Roger Goodell's number and you personally communicated to him, just to be clear. Hey, thanks for putting your time. Ty, uncorrectly, you look like a dipshit the last couple of weeks. And finally, it's just going straight down, by the way. I forgot to mention that, sorry. Goodell texted me. Was that crooked? It's been crooked for weeks. It drives me insane. You can see all those buttons. It's the point of having a tie. Yeah, but he's cool, though. Isn't he kind of like cool, though? Like it's kind of, hey, I'm cool. Yeah, I guess, yeah. Yep, yep. That's why I roll up my sleeves, too. I will get to the New England answer. OK, my sleeves make sense. I thought what New England. One, going back to last week, we just saw a much more mechanically better quarterback. the pocket with Drake May athleticism instincts that carried over so he's much more comfortable in the pocket I think the two big takeaways for me in the game the offensive line played really well in New England yesterday I mean there were multiple clips where Drake's got a lot of time in the pocket to just hang one of the reasons why and I'm gonna do a tape on this for live later a lot of their plays got into what we would call like four by one formations and the one on the backside was an attached tight end and so what they would do Boston would be like Boston Connor they'd have that tight end to be on the backside he would help a little bit in the protection and then the one of the four people on the other side was like a receiver that was close to the tackle so the defensive end didn't have a clean free rush or a back that was a little bit offset behind the tackle and so the defensive end had to go all the way around him and so it was it was a clear plan of let's let's help this offensive line and I think that's what we're gonna do and I think that's what we're gonna do and I think that's what we're gonna do and I think that's what we're gonna do and let's just give some clean pockets and then they created some of the big throws down the field with just flooding so you had really good protection you flooded half of the field and Drake may saw it very cleanly but it was it was a big time credit to the offensive line I thought they played very well and the quarterback is back to being comfortable not thinking just reacting yeah Drake's a stud he might win AFC offensive player of the week again with how we started I don't think any of us would have seen this this early in the season this early in the season Sean Payton back to call and plays Ty has a question for you about that they're saying historically not good for the quarterback yeah Dan oh did you notice anything different with the way Denver looked yesterday with Sean Payton call and plays because you know just based on you know stats alone Bo Nix not a great day didn't look great either was there any difference there do you think Denver is is genuine you know genuinely in trouble because it does kind of seem like this is not the boat the same Bo Nix we saw towards the end of the year last year into the playoffs I did not see anything different candidly it's hard to see something different when there is no rhythm you know the play calling and the art of that there's it's you've got to get into a flow they did not here's the thing where both still is and right now Bo is one and almost panic right now like what I mean is okay if the number one guys there he's fine number one guys there it cut it loose if he's not there it's like oh gosh and he starts to panic I mean there's a clip yesterday we runs he throws a ball down to the back on the left sideline there's no we're even remotely close to him from a Chargers perspective he's falling away and throwing it and there's no pressure there's no blitz he's drifting to his left pockets totally clean and it's almost like well I'm throwing the back no matter what even though the back is covered and so he's really really right now struggling with just his feet in the pocket his calmness in the pocket with his feet when that first read isn't there and he's got to get to the second and third and so they've got to get that figured out they're not really great running the football from underneath the center but the bigger thing is just like if you watch Bo Nix play and then in that same window you watched Brock play and just the calmness of feet in comparison to the frantic element of feet it's a completely different game between the two quarterbacks okay let's talk about San Francisco and being 5-0 Brock Purdy has a new weapon in Mike Evans your thoughts on the addition of him and what's your thoughts on the addition of what he's doing for San Fran versus what he did for Tampa I think the Mike Evans addition through five weeks is just as impactful as the Kenneth Walker addition in Kansas City I really do you when you talk about a quarterback that has unwavering trust in a guy unwavering trust and and not only the player but the frame of the player there are so many clips where he's like I'm gonna believe that Mike's gonna win this football crossing on the in routes there's there's another in route where Mike goes outside of the corner and Brock just trusts to throw it up high and Mike would go get a play the back shoulder ball down the sideline it's you can see that there's a confidence level and a trust level between Brock Purdy and Mike Evans and you know when I played for Mike Martz he was this big coach on as a wide receiver be where you're supposed to be when you're supposed to be there and never fool the quarterback and Mike Evans is embodying that right now in San Francisco with Brock Brock knows where he's gonna be when he's gonna be there he's never getting fooled by him this is the in route look where he throws that up high intentionally in the back shoulder so he's totally totally changed their past yeah Brock's cooking early had to go to Australia still continuing it it is to a point where nobody's questioning if Brock Purdy is a great quarterback because remember just last year years before he'd have success if people would still think of him as the last pick in the draft from Iowa State he's operating this offense at an elite level MVP conversations very real for Brock right now think about San Francisco right now as a team one probably have the coach of the year through five weeks and I know it's early but through five weeks they got 13 players on IR more than any team in football yet they're 5 and 0 they've beaten they've got three wins against the Rams the Seahawks and the Broncos the rest of the league has three wins against those three teams so coach of the year they got the MVP frontrunner in Brock Purdy they probably have the offensive lineman of the year I think Andrew Whitworth and those guys got that as an actual award that's gonna be Trent Williams through five weeks they got a newcomer of the year in Mike Evans and they have the defensive player of the year in Fred Warner that's that's what they are as a football team right now like all those awards pretty good can they can they sustain if they're healthy enough absolutely they'll be here having just as good of a chance that the Super Bowl represented from the NFC will come from the NFC West it'll be the Rams it'll be the 49ers it'll be Seattle I think San Francisco and the Rams are the teams undefeated sure best about okay I don't even want to talk about why you have no respect for the Vikings I don't even want to talk about I would tell you Minnesota's offense still like for me there's question marks what do you mean question mark okay they didn't score so was everybody else they don't have a touchdown in the first half again I think that if you take away some of this I would say circus catches from Justin Jefferson the pass game still lacks some stuff he's got three of them in this game that are just total circus catches there's not a lot pass game in structure that is repeatable that you can just bank on on a week-to-week basis now I thought Kyler made some plays with his legs again and again the Justin Jefferson circus catches but there's not still for me these repeatable plays within the structure of a pass game and Kevin O'Connell told us last week that's only going to continue to grow with Kyler he has a lot of expectation for the upside and then Brian Flores is just bringing 90% hell to every single quarterback shuck got shook out there pretty good and he's not the only one 90% they were blitzing have you ever seen that we've never seen that no but what would you do that's let's hope you're not wearing white pants that's the theme for them this year right but like D-butt could speak and AJ could speak to it better than I but like they ran a bunch 90% pressure yeah but there wasn't a bunch of zero yesterday like they were running what we call 88 blitz which is like a middle field open blitz now D-butt they keep shell right don't they bring it but also keep a shell so it's easy for the DBs nothing's easy but this seems like a very easy defense for B-flow if he has all the guys that understand what the hell they're doing are we right with describing it that way yes a lot easier for the defense you if you bring in seven or eight guys you're asked out if you don't make that tackle and cover zero you know you hit a quick slant if you miss the tackle that's a touchdown but what they're doing even with this interception there was a guy wide open on the other side of field running a deep hook but the quarterback would never get to that read once it feels that pressure so having a zone look and a lot of times I forget who told us this but the Vikings coaches don't even Flores doesn't even know exactly how that coverage is gonna play out he lets the players kind of dictate who's gonna drop where who's gonna cover which player so you got a bunch of smart players you got a really smart coach and that's what you get that recipe right there playing phenomenal football you know limiting the team any NFL team to less than 150 total yards is impressive yo is Isaiah Rogers been paid for them that corner he got a deal I don't think he got a huge deal though he gonna get so much money from someone and so is Redmond yeah he's a guy you say about Kyle Van Noy two old guys coming off the couch out there for Minnesota I'm not surprised by anything those dudes do Calvin always been so good for years and Harrison Smith's one of the best safeties of the generation watching him still do his shit yeah he flow loves it and then Kevin O'Connell telling us just to your point there that nobody really knows what the coverage is gonna be it's gonna be hard to figure out what it's good because the guys are deciding in real time what the three I think they're reading concepts that's why I call 88 pressure like if you guys heard palms before yeah like where they're reading it like I think those defensive backs are all kind of reading things I was watching something with Harrison Smith and gosh it was somebody's podcast the other day and they were asking him what he truly thought made a great player in the pros and his answer was like being able to truly perfect the weakness of your craft or something like that and he was like at some point I have to know exactly where I have to get to and you know where exactly I have to get to so I was like you know I have to get to and he was like you know I have to get to and he was like you know I have to get to and he was like you know I have to get to and I see a long way to go defensively but offensively I think Jared Goff is having an MVP caliber year got Laporta and Jamo involved yesterday with the new offensive coordinator I see you got two notebooks too so i want to get to that at some point actually about that second one what's your take on jared golf's play uh so far this season yeah jared's been great this year it's been overshadowed by how bad how poor they've been on defense conversation wise um they scored i think seven straight drives yesterday because they didn't show up for their first quarter i don't believe they scored a point in the first quarter and then they just went on this run they were ultra aggressive on fourth downs they went for it a bunch on fourth down the the protection was great jamo caught it st brown caught it laporta was big gibbs was ridiculous yesterday jameer gibbs does he at times does whatever he wants on a football field they hit the big pylon to jamo which has become a staple of their offense and so jared's playing in the nfc jared golf is a quarterback um i would tell you the only guys that are playing quarterback through the first five weeks definitively better than jared golf would be brock purdy and that's about it maybe bryce young but as far as quarterbacks that have been better through five weeks i probably would tell you only brock purdy that i could definitively say foxy a lot of stats coming out about jared golf this season everybody's saying nobody's talking about him is that because the defense is ass that's what everybody's saying yeah 100 this team's three and two if we would have just beat the panthers and been four and one i think jared golf would be at the top of that mvp rankings i mean look at the stats he leads the nfl in pass yards 12 touchdowns no interceptions 74 first downs he's been outstanding and that's why he's been a great quarterback for the nfc jared golf is a great quarterback with gibbs in the backfield eating on the ground game as well this lion's offense is outstanding it's just going to come down to if this defense can get any stops at all yesterday they did that and they're pretty dangerous so we'll see how it goes jared golf currently sitting at plus 4500 to win the nfl mvp brock purdy your favorite at plus 280 so national narrative about a player or a quarterback on a team that can't get a stop on a lot of occasions not that high maybe good stock to purchase there jared's offer bryce young and you see daniel jones thinks into the graphic there plus 15 yeah is that in order plus 15 i think there's a couple others in there but daniel jones is obviously star-studded meet him on the graphic tone has a question for you not about daniel jones but the other side of the ball yeah dan you use the word repeatability uh earlier after week one you said the steelers offense was not repeatable and then after week two they make the offensive line chain and since then they are top eight in points in yards jaylen warren is going for over 160 a game receiving and rushing and then aaron's thrown for three touchdowns and three straight um is it repeatable now after the offensive line change and what big mike's kind of settling into that offense or is it a you know a colts defense that isn't very good yeah so there is a my answer is yes more than it was early on i think the two things tone for me that i did like yesterday and i'm going to give you the caution one there there is a very clear indication that jaylen warren is going for over 160 a game receiving and rushing jeremy bernard is a value wide receiver and on this group um he's gotten better and better and better and aaron trusts him aaron's believing he's going to get open and i like the fact that they're shrinking his splits a lot they're giving him those free releases i like when they take jeremy and fryer muth and kind of work them together the goal line fryer muth down in the red zone him and washington together so like i like the fact that they're finding different ways to pair people with fryer muth i think that final touchdown that fryer muth has he's with jeremy and so yes um yeah this one jeremy had a big third down conversion see they're running at that same that's beautiful that's so that like that's a beautiful culture all over the ground but that's a field thing that's a good release they're both releasing at the same spot that hourglass release okay and jeremy has a route that is the same thing him for our youth flip switch places um so i like that warren's the best player on their offense um they got to get him the football more i still believe this should be a more physical run game they threw it a lot yesterday there are really good stuff aaron's legs yesterday four or five times making plays with his legs huge so he's getting he's not getting hit a lot he's fresh and clean the tackling and the effort at times from indianapolis's defense leaves a lot to be desired man it leaves a lot dude that first 80 yard touchdown do you go back to last week and a week before and a week before too there's a lot of chasing okay there's a lot of us chasing not seemingly trying that hard the forest buckner we're sorry it's happening to you he's such a good player well that's not great from the get d buck out of there we knock a few buck is our best player on the defensive side by far he uh when he plays we normally play pretty good we've won two out of the last 12 nobody's excited about beating the colts at this point it's a flat route yeah but you know there's a mistake and then there's another one and then there's a somebody else even it's 50 yard touchdown there's like four guys that go to tackle i want to talk about it look at this let's talk about the steelers jaylen warren's explosive player okay let's talk about him let's not talk nameless faceless opponents there for the colts still a lot of season left please can't lose to the titans we're second in division second in division right now long season that's right can't lose to the titans this week we can't right okay there's there is an afc team that's starting to look like themselves or at least what we thought they were going to be over there in big natty go ahead aj for dan orlovsky dan you know yeah joe burrow throws four touchdowns yesterday they beat the miami dolphins is this something that you do you think the bangles are a complete team offense we know their defense has stepped up more this year but can you think uh you think joe burrow in this offense is going to continue their their kind of dominance yeah higgins and chaser ridiculous i loved a lot they did a really good job down in the red zone um so aj i mentioned new england being in four by one yesterday cincinnati was in four by one a ton yesterday specifically down in the red zone if i'm having t higgins and jamar chase on the same side going how do we defend this and so it frees up a gaseki here it frees up a p ryan i thought joe played really clean and then miami had like been okay specifically defensively throughout the first four games of the year kind of hanging with some teams so i thought the red zone stuff was good they're really cool too offensively they can get into an ajd but you guys know this pony where they put two backs on the field and so like the two back stuff from cincinnati i think that they should utilize more um they got to figure out some of their special team stuff special teams penalties continue to hurt the football team and eventually that will bite you but their offense is going to score yeah they'll score um and and the defense was better i i think that their defense mixes up coverages pretty well but um they're obviously going to be an offensive driven team throughout the remainder of the year this is the first dolphins game you watched i think what are your thoughts no i've watched every game um for the dolphins the dolphins defense has been okay man they've actually played pretty well up to this point now yes billy's been all right and chris was brutal dano second half was good first half he had one completion so two minutes left yeah i'm i'm that that's why i said played well up until yesterday oh he's giving away everything the guy who said i gotta tell on him gets two picks on him every quarterback pats the ball dude you didn't not you why do they absolutely you know why does everyone pat the ball um i think it's like a just a rhythm trigger you know i think like uh for a quarterback this is very a very awkward thing to go from here to here and so it's often like a trigger of like get the ball back so i think it's just something you grow up doing i don't know if it has anything to do with baseball i think baseball we would do that as well so did you ever do this one you ever do this one right hand quarterback left hand off the ball right back bring that thing wait what it's not bad like a bullet in the hole you're holding the ball on your left got a pump yeah so you're holding like this is boom left hand doing it boom back here bang right here because i think maybe you're doing a little inside pitch no coming back and then we're out here right right yeah i've never done that no i don't know anybody who has but i think every quarterback pats the ball at some point i know what you do with football you tucked it ran out the back of the end zone oh i don't know if you ever heard that one before okay uh gumpy quit on malik willis completely that's why we know i'm not completely out but he's got to use his legs more he's got to run dano you know you watch the tape you watch the film we pounded the rock though ollie gordon's ollie gordon's a nice back man unbelievable yeah big dude i there's some like again there's some good in miami's tape on both sides of the football they're just we all know not as talented as everybody else i don't disagree with malik and i also don't think miami's an interesting situation i don't go through their first five games and go my goodness they got to get a quarterback of the future like i i think he's got a solid job given what he's given with and what the expectations are they could win next week we just got to keep losing just keep yeah we're winning we're winning this week for sure yeah we're on a buy everybody's winning when they lose a lot of teams looking at the draft already winning let's look at tonight's game bills rams yeah now our number one headline i don't know if you saw it was the amount of running backs that go for over a hundo in dubs we would talk about 13 personnel in some places we would talk about the run game this year more though more so in the past is that what tonight's going to revolve around even though we have the last two mvps a quarterback what are your thoughts on how tonight's game yeah so yes we'll see a ton of tight ends on the field um i'll speak from it from buffalo's offensive perspective you'll know early on what kind of quarterback play you'll get from josh his first or his last two weeks his eyes have been all over the place and so early on does he look to be settled and in control of where his eyes are you're gonna get that buffalo early on and buffalo fans he's gonna play well he's gonna see a ton of The way that the Rams defensively have lined up and played McDuffie, it's McDuffie shut down a receiver and then they're doing some really cool coverages opposite him. So just early on, how does Josh kind of handle the presentation from the Rams' defense? I think vice versa, the Rams' offense. You've got two elite route runners. Elite route runners. Different because Devontae is slippery and crafty and Puka is very strong and solid. These corners in Buffalo are very handsy. Very handsy at the top of routes. And so if I'm the Rams, I fully expect for Sean McVay to try to attack these corners with these receivers. Tight ends will be a part of it, but these receivers, either complete and wear them out or you're going to draw something. Do you do any super feigny things? Do you draw them? I don't do anything with feigns. No, this is just ball, dude. This is just ball. Do you save your notebooks or throw them away when you're done with them? Save them. Oh, nice. Oh, really? Hang them up? No, I just have them down in like a box down in the basement. From your playing days? I got them all. Did you see John Gruden's vault? I don't think so. John Gruden showcased his vault. I saw it on the internet. I don't know which one it was. He has actual VCR tapes, VHS tapes of like, hey, here's the first time the wing tee was run by Navy. Man, you're never going to find this stuff. And then he goes to another thing over here and it's like, Mike Allstott, every fullback time that we ran with him is in this tape. He has like his own NFL Films vault. Sounds like you have something similar for your notebooks. Yeah, I've got them. Have you ever looked back at them? Oh, all the time. I go down into the basement. I look back at them all the time. I think I've shared some stuff on social of like, hey, you know, this is what a rookie quarterback gets taught in like looking at a game plan and just seeing like, hey, look how thick this game plan is just for the context. And so. And a lot of the coaches, obviously, you know, Kubiak and Shanahan and Houston, there's so many offenses like that in the NFL now. So tapping into some of those old rules and notes and how coaches taught and yeah, look at it all the time. Remember big Mike's house, Pat, when we went there in the barn, he's kept every single game plan. Yeah, it was incredible. I mean, it's such a good thing to have to like keepsake wise. Yeah. Later in life, you have no idea what's going to be legendary. They're going to talk about multiple time Emmy award winning handwritten notes. From Dan Orlovsky. Ty looked good. Brain sounded fantastic today. Have a phenomenal time on big day with big shrinks. We appreciate you. Thanks, bud. Later, boys. Later, Dan. All right. Thank you, Dan. Is he on countdown tonight? I hope. Are you doing Monday night countdown tonight? Thank God. Is Kelsey flying all the way from London? No, you have big week next week. Yeah, we do have big week next week. You're right. Big week next week, Dano. We're going to be on the call as we're live for the San Francisco 49ers. Monday night football. It's going to be awesome. It's going to be so sick. I think we needed a quarterback, an NFL quarterback for the NFL one. Also, you're going to be here every single Monday. So that's good. So not as much travel for a guy who has four kids in Ohio and AJ. But see, also, I think we're going to amplify the game. I hope we do that. I hope we have a good time. And it wraps up at the Super Bowl. We appreciate you joining us. I'm so grateful for it. I'm honored. When you sent the text, I said, yo, the fudging Super Bowl. That's right. Well said. We did. We all said that. Remember when we did this little – hey, D-Butt, you remember when we did the little rehearsal run for Hans and Ani? And his first thing, he thought he was doing an hour-long podcast. Yep. And I go, Dano, we're not doing that this whole time. Okay? We are not going to do that. How many times did you look at me and be like, hey, you figure it out, bro. Lay in the plane. Okay? The next play is about to happen. We're very thankful for you, though. You're always such a well-studied, always ready. You're always ready to say whatever needs to be said at the time. And we think you're going to be great with us. So, thank you. I'm grateful to be with you guys. Thank you. And we're all blessed. See you, buddy. Later, boys. See you, Dano. See you, Dano. See you, Dano. See you, Dano. I mean, the Commanders going out to Monday Night Football there for our first one after what the Commanders just did. Yeah. Cannot wait. Just glad JJ was healthy. Yeah, I am. I agree. I agree on that one. Okay, we missed a couple things. We hit college football, not nearly as much, but we will definitely – we'll definitely talk about that as the week continues to roll on. There's a new number one team in town in Georgia. Ohio State travels to Indiana. AJ, how's the Ohio State team feel? 22 straight wins now for the Indiana Hoosiers, including a national championship and a massive, you know, run of beating top teams. Ohio State has the longest in history, I think, at 23, and they did it back in 2013 or something. How do you feel about the Buckeyes at this, you know, stage of the season with Jeremiah Smith being uncovered? How do you feel about the Buckeyes taking on this Indiana team that has been a wagon now for the better part of two years? Yeah, I think it's going to be an interesting game. I mean, obviously, playing at Indiana, it's going to be an unbelievable atmosphere, but we all know, like, Jeremiah Smith is so – he garners so much attention. They had a couple guys banged up last week against Maryland, but this Indiana team, you know, Nebraska kind of taking them to the wire, having a tough game beforehand, I think is going to be – I mean, this catch, it's hard to do this catch. As your body is going this way and you're going to lean – like, it's already hard enough to come back and get that when you're going to win. You're running the other way, but to snag it one-handed, yeah, the guy is an absolute freak show, fun to watch. But I think it's going to be a great, like, what do you call it when you're measuring yourself against the best? Like, how good are you? You don't truly know right now. Neither of these teams do. Yeah, and there's a lot of discussion happening about 2014 playoff coming, and that decision was not made by anybody at ESPN. There's a lot of people voting on that. People are saying a lot of mean stuff towards ESPN about the 24 – I think the – higher-ups that make these decisions for ESPN don't love the 24 – I think a lot of people don't love the thought of the 24-game or 24-team playoff. I think it's too much. What happens in a regular season if it takes place? But I do think it will – there are some benefits. I'm not for it. I think 12 is good. It has been good, and there's blowouts in the first round, so maybe it's even too much at 12. But at least we have found the best teams through the process, and more teams have the opportunity. I do think a loss, though, in – this season or these big games happening in the regular season aren't as detrimental to making it to the big dance whenever you're trying to learn who you are as a team. Like Georgia, they played next to nobody. Now, they had SEC games on schedule, so that's not their fault, but I think they'll be more likely to play bigger non-conference games because one loss doesn't kill you, and I think a lot of these teams would like to find out who the hell they are earlier in the season. They're just scared if you lose, you're kind of knocked out of the dance forever, and with the amount of money that's being spent on these teams, I think a lot of these schools, donors, and teams would like to have hope at the end of the season if they happen to stumble early. So there are some upsides, I think, to the 2014 playoff. I don't love it. I don't think there's a lot of people that love it, but the people that are voting are doing it because they think it's more sustainable for the current world that we're in, for teams to continue to have hope. They'll schedule harder games because they won't be scared to death of just one loss or two losses killing them out of the playoffs and them still being able to make it. There's some upside, but there's a lot of people mad about it, Tone. A lot of people mad. There's a lot of people mad about the playoffs changing, and it feels like it's inevitable at this point with how loud it's gotten. I'm not in the room where it happens, but this conversation has gotten pretty loud pretty quickly here, Tone. Yeah, a lot of people are upset about it, and I think people just obviously don't like change, and yes, people love college football because every single game means something and a loss would kill your season, but I think things have changed. I don't mind going to 24, especially if it gets rid of the conference championship game, which a lot of people are going to hate me saying that, but I feel like it's been a detriment to get to the conference championship a lot of these last couple seasons. You're playing an extra game. A lot of these teams are getting hurt in that conference championship game that doesn't mean anything except for maybe the playoff ranking. Now, it didn't hurt IU last year, but I mean, more playoff ball I enjoy, but I know I am in the minority. Is 24 the max you think they'll ever get? Yeah, you can't go more than that. You don't think they'll ever try to go more than 24? You can't go more than that. Plus, all the coaches won 24, which I understand because they'll get in the playoffs and keep their jobs and get raises and everything like that, but you know. Yeah, well, the expectations, it's not just like they keep their jobs and get raises. They'll also keep getting money from the alumni who are giving to them. Like, if you're getting a lot of money from an alumni to help benefit the roster, and it doesn't look like there's going to be any change happening even though that thing goes through the house, there's another half, I guess. I don't know politics well enough. The Protect College Sports Act, who knows if it ends up going through or not, but these teams, if their alumni or boosters are giving them $50 million, $50 million, that's a lot of money coming, and they don't make the playoffs, it's like that money's going to get shut off. So I think a lot of coaches and a lot of administrators are like, we need to be able to sell hope if we stumble a little bit. We got to still be able to make it to the playoffs at some point. So I think 24 is going to happen. Seems like a lot of people are talking about it happening, and I think ESPN is going to try their best to keep the rights for the college football playoff as a whole, but I think because ESPN's name is coming up for the rights of it, a lot of people think ESPN's the one driving it. That's not the case. That is not what's happening. In the heads of ESPN, I think they're on the record of saying, like, we do not want more. We like the way. They love college football. The amount of money. that has been invested in college football by ESPN is astronomical you know and everybody says well they have control over this it's like they have control over what they have control though but they invest mightily because they love the sport I think that gets missed in a lot of the conversation now not every decision is a good one there's been some terrible decisions made by a lot of people who have power in a lot of different places and it's befuddling to all of us but college football is phenomenal so changing it at all is certainly going to ruffle feathers but if we get big games more big games teams not scared to lose teams being able to find themselves late and it's already professional football because they're playing the players more like the NFL we're going to lose out on a lot but I think we're also going to find some silver lining in this move as we go forward I am not listening to in that conversation as I should not be but I am excited to get to Provo this weekend as BYU hosts Notre Dame Notre Dame and USC couldn't get a deal done BYU becomes the team that takes up that spot in the schedule and Bear Bachmeier is hilarious and very good at ball the BYU Cougs have an incredible environment and atmosphere and Notre Dame's got a tough one on their hands I think they know that and BYU is looking to continue to go so college football is the greatest baseball also happening Ty can you tell us a little bit about what took place I had to split screen on last night with Scooble and Miz battling on the left side and then Sunday night football on the other side pretty perfect setup Ty what should we expect out of all of this yeah without a doubt the Brewers kind of buck conventional wisdom I think a lot of people thought hey Miz versus Scooble Miz is going to have to go deep into this game that's kind of his best opportunity Bryce Terang though he takes Scooble yard early I think they said he's only the third player this year to hit a lefty on lefty homer off an inside fastball so doesn't really happen and the Brewers you know this isn't exactly this hasn't been their recipe for winning games they usually play small ball which is exactly what they did later off Scooble Luis Lara his first game of the season and then hits one up the middle they score another run and even though the Miz you know he didn't make it deep into this game because the the Brewers or you know the the Dodgers worked a lot of counts they turned it over to their very strong bullpen and then late in the game ninth inning uh Mookie Betts pops out with two guys on base so the Brewers hold serve they won the first game and I think a lot of people thought hey if the Brewers can win the first one they kind of have to because now we will really see what the Dodgers are with how deep they are they they go to another ace you know Yamamoto is going to start game two so uh massive that the Brewers got the first one though because now they have the they have the momentum and I think feel like they can kind of play around with things a little bit so they did what they always do they played great defense they got a big hit and uh that was it Guardians Rays tonight at 8 p.m on TBS Dodgers Brewers 5 p.m on Fox and tomorrow the NHL is cooking Frozen Frenzy all 32 teams 16 matchups one night right here on ESPN properties hockey's cooking baseball's cooking football is alive the WNBA is having attendance they can't get into a building big enough for their playoffs I figured out 3 500 seats will be a packed house that'll be a great atmosphere trying to get a little bit more in there to watch some magic sports are delivering in a massive way D but we're so incredibly lucky for all yeah hell yeah I can't wait everything you talked about WNBA playoffs talk about the Valkyries that team's only been in existence for a couple years they're making the dreams making it awesome times to be a sports fan right now D but who's your pick for tonight Rams Bills oh Rams toxic table Rams Bills who you got Rams Bills plus three and a half tone who do you got uh Rams better defense AJ who do you got give me the Rams wow a little split house whose this fantastic marvelous Sunday October 12 2026 hours three of the program begin right now football he is the greatest NFL week five Sunday slate delivered from morning into night and tonight the Buffalo Bills travel here to SoFi Stadium as Monday Night Football Josh Allen and Matthew Stafford will do battle to wrap up this fantastic weekend of football Josh Allen and the Buffalo Bills getting three and a half in Los Angeles against the Rams Aaron Donald set to return and play football again Matthew Stafford going crazy puka in his second week of returning after having a little bit of a groin injury the tail of the tape says the offenses should be great now how will the Buffalo Bills defense fare against a wildly weaponized offense like the LA Rams have we shall see Monday Night Countdown starts at 6 p.m Eastern cannot wait to get out there with the lads and uh Countdown to the kickoff as football has been delivered in a huge way it's not just me here in SoFi a little bit of a breeze had a little rain earlier feels like it's a nice fall day in LA back in Indianapolis is a man who's a college football national champion Super Bowl champion Ryder Cup winner AJ Hawk what up looks like the sun came out there over in your LA right yeah there's a little bit of sun there's still some overcast the rain earlier was pretty wild everywhere we have gone has seemingly got rain whenever we were there that's doing well with the allergies I think it's helping all of us but the Los Angeles weather is going to continue to blossom as the day goes on and I think tonight we're about to have an environment and the atmosphere a game that we're going to talk about for decades aging I think tonight has a chance to be epic AJ Hawk you've been seeing the board pretty well right before we went to the break you said you liked the Rams there let's make our official picks to see if you can continue seeing the board well bills at Rams Rams favored by three and a half AJ Hawk who do you like how do you like it yeah the three and a half points it gives me a a little bit of worry because I did I chose the Rams before we went to break I'm not going to waffle I definitely still am taking the Rams I think they win by seven but I love this Bill's team I love what Josh Allen is able to do but Tony even mentioned it I like that Rams defense a little more than I like that Bill's defense right now and I just think Matthew Stafford's gonna have a magical night I think you're right Pat this may be one of those kind of shootout type games where we see some high level QB play so it's going to be a fun game it's going to be one of those kind of shootout type games where we see some high level QB play so it's going to be a fun game but give me the Rams minus three and a half high level QB play I think there's gonna be great running play the reason why I wanted to hear what you were saying is strictly because you're seeing a board well I'll ride with you as well not that it matters for me nine-year NFL vet Darius J Butler is back in a Thunderdome but how do you see this game going tonight and I genuinely believe there's a chance that we have an epic Monday night do you see the same absolutely you got two phenomenal quarterbacks in a controlled environment when it comes to weather so you always love that for the over uh sitting at 54 and a half right now um you talked about we talked about it earlier DJ Moore got banged up for the bills so I am more worried about their offense even though they still have great Playmakers I'm gonna stick with my Rams pick because they're wide receivers being healthy against those Buffalo Beals cornerbacks who have not been great so far this year we talked about the tight end uses around the league I think they only ran like nine snaps last week the Rams did with multiple tight ends on the field with uh Devonte and Puka healthy so I'm going with the Rams I think Matt Stafford has the bigger day than Josh Allen today tonight I um I hope tonight lives up to what it could be now that would mean the defenses are going to be ass I uh I like the Rams sounds like d-butts does as well let's go to one half of the hammer Cowboys what are the percentages of bets on this evening uh they are on the Rams minus the three and a half it's like almost 50 50 in this one so it's kind of a split which is not surprising to me the last time these two teams played was 2024 it was a 44 42 game um so yeah you know same same coaching staffs as as the offensive side of the ball and for the Rams just in general pretty much but a very very high scoring affair the last two times or sorry the last time these two teams met it talks to table at Boston Connor and Ty Schmidt pulling for points or what are you looking at this I know con man's worried the Bills might get hot and even though the Patriots and Drake may are playing better than they've ever played what the Bills have the New England Patriots don't so you're pulling for the Rams is that accurate comment actually no I do think the Bills cover this one I do think it's going to end up being one of those 44 42 tight tight games maybe comes down to some late game heroics but yeah pulling for points for sure the Bills you know I'm not really worried about them since we just beat the piss out of them in their own house last week but yeah I think this is going to be an all-time classic and I expect a lot of points Josh Allen uh two touchdowns plus 500 okay something rushing yeah two two uh rushing touchdowns yes I gotta trade that over here in LA oh no trade it up oh trade it available it's available it's available it's available on DraftKings I trade it up sorry Ty go ahead pal no I was just gonna say the hook definitely does uh scare me a little bit but at the end of the day um points is kind of oh I I I don't know why I kind of like just a 38 34 Rams victory I think they've kind of been you know a little bit underwhelming so far and do the Bills have enough uh we will see but yeah at the end of the day I think the the over is what I am going to confidently hammer tonight okay nothing is a guarantee in this world of sports obviously we can lose so if you agree to gamble responsibly and you are of age in the United States of America we'd love for you to come join us on the best sports book on earth DraftKings okay there are people that have Mondays that are fantastic and there are people that have Mondays that are ass it is time to head to the internet to see how these fandoms are going I put out a tweet this morning say hey listen it's another magical overreaction Monday I can't wait to hear from all of you all you have to use is the hashtag I don't want to overreact got a lot of responses became a top trend in the United States we appreciate everybody participating and also happy Columbus Day that was tough to move off the top AJ is that today yeah yeah wow you know what that's right I did not even uh it went right through my over my head because I was so focused on the ball we had this weekend yeah I understand a ball is certainly a distraction for everything else happening in our lives but Tony how does your family feel about Columbus yeah in this house he's a hero okay that's how we feel about it happy Columbus Day let's move along this is uh first overreaction is from in the Thunderdome hello everybody good work tonight hashtag I don't want to overreact Toro finally reverses the curse and the Texans finally win Steelers too the power of the terrible towel is real and the spirit of Myron Cope is yoying all over the kingdom of football heaven smart play here by Toro Nick I think we can all agree on that absolutely Pat it's a long and fabled history the curse of the terrible towel the Bengals have suffered it the Titans have suffered it uh Joe Dirt and those Jags have suffered it and the Houston Texans found out it's not something you want to trifle with their season's done it's ruined forever now and uh you know good luck come back next year try again they just traded for Marvin Harrison Jr. I don't know if they're done just yet oh it's over okay Toro had a great weekend putting that back together how about uh the super falcon walking the high wire yeah what was that all about and then did he end up falling and just kind of crotching that thing because I saw a video of him walking and then I saw a picture of him just sitting there crossing that unbelievable stuff here out of Freddy the falcon out of super falcon out of hotlanta falcon mr falcony whatever the name is what a gimmick here d-butt we got these mascots literally risking their lives for entertainment value for us I mean that is an unbelievable game I'm kind of worried did he shave his legs is that yeah that's my only concern ever this is an unbelievable gimmick by him or her you know these bird legs get how they get and uh Freddy the falcon falcon Freddy Freddy uh uh fine Freddy we appreciate flying Freddy for the falcons doing this for the good of the team and also Jax him Deville is back door for his old tricks out in London just sending it off the lights I know the Brits were thinking to themselves what the hell is this it's a madman in a suit that does that every single game I like the development and the evolution of what is expected from these mascots you better send it from the ceiling or we don't want to see it Jax him Deville playing his own game AJ he is getting back to Freddy the falcon like it's like a what a slack line is that what they call it he's slacklining across like the top do we have any idea how it ended like we didn't see uh uh hey here we go I forgot the end of the line or I finished up I splatted on the ground you didn't hear no I didn't oh it didn't end well that's all I see I saw him straddling the thing that's all he actually got up and flew out of the stadium like there we go then we cut to black what happened did he just fall off the fall off there I had the roof open yeah I guess you're right I mean he's a bird why would we care if he falls great yeah yeah why are we worried about him yeah he just flies to get that list birds that's true yeah like uh it's not one of them no Flamingos Falcon's actually the fastest parent in the animal kingdom so yeah what's that Miami subs one I think you just said it there AJ Flamingo are they are they non-flying yeah flightless bird no I thought they could fly ostrich penguins penguins Ostrich turkeys technically they can just collide oh I mean how can you can you be a bird and not fly yeah we just named him what makes you a bird then you have your babies by eggs and they hatch that's it okay so is a snake a bird what no wings okay wings without wings and you can't fly there's a snake a bird don't be a asshole I'm just I'm just thinking in real time you guys gave me no answers so well no that's the answer well no you can't say just because they hatch through eggs and they have wings here we go 60 living species of flightless birds the ostrich the penguin the emu the cassowary the Kiwi obviously never taken to this guy yeah smaller what about the cockapoo the cockapoo the cockapoo the cockapoo will fly away that's how these things get really hurt you got to keep them caged and they clip their uh wings because they can talk and they can leave you that's one of the issues uh that they have whenever you have those as a pet but yeah age it came from an egg and they got wings it's a bird not all of them can fly some of these things gotta run like their little asses off and think to themselves well why did I get wings then you know and they just have to they have to talk about that their whole life style points wait what who's we what who is we I don't know I'm asking you the universe God yeah like yeah God if I give you wings that's kind of like uh I don't know that's kind of cruel that you can't fly if you have wings yeah but these birds are just happy for life maybe you should think about life that way you're right good for them great it's all about attitude and effort and it's all right like how you respond to your things going on you're right okay I get it these birds think about what they have not what they don't have glass half full yeah yeah actually we have no idea these birds we we don't we don't know anything they don't know you're saying they got a bird brain so now these guys got a bird brain and they can't fly wow AJ you're really taking shots at the Ria and the kasawari and the emu and the ostrich aren't you geez those are entire species they're on Noah's Ark I'll have you know somehow they ran their little feet got in there okay let's go to the next action shall we this one's from D but hashtag I don't want to overreact but we alluded to this earlier being a bandwagon fan has backfired on me my dolphins still defeated my Colts and Eagles fall to below 500 after another L my only team with a winning record bears bench quarterback too after throwing his second meatball sub name put case can't make the same thing might be time to just pick one team to suffer with for the rest of the season we haven't thought about this and you've always said this D but you've said more teams give you more opportunity for happiness what about more opportunity for despair it feels like that's what you're living right now I don't like that D but yeah I'm just like AJ just mentioned I'm a glass half full type of guy and and I like being able to swap teams out for example swap Chargers out this year for the Bears things were looking good because I don't want one team one group of young men to control my happiness for five six months but like hey this past week gonna have rough weeks like this don't know if it's an overreaction quiet gonna sleep on it come back tomorrow see if I'm gonna make some trades uh but right now it's tough it's it's a tough Outlook right now hopefully these guys can figure it out but um I mean this is an absolute show four teams going on four in a weekend that's tough man yeah it's tough but we never thought about that but never thought about that we always thought at least one would show up for you turns out I think if you picked a couple more they'd all would have lost it's a tough time let's go to ambaski uh ambaski I believe Amber hashtag I don't want to overreact but the Chargers have the worst roster management in the league four rookies on your own line throwing a Dave from Dairy Queen and Will from all this money and nothing to show for it fire Joel Ortiz now that's Chargers fans losing their mind con man we had high expectations I couldn't even imagine the Chargers faithful in what they've thought what they've seen now yeah I'm assuming they're melting I've seen a lot of them saying hey we probably should have known this going back to training camp on how everything looked during practice but it is insane yeah we're talking about it before the program it's one of those things like Carson Herberge is one of those quarterbacks that's going to be cursed by injuries to his entire team throughout the year. Is it a front office thing where the players that they're picking up just end up being bad? I really don't know. It is mind-boggling. Out of all the teams, we've talked about the Titans being the worst team in the NFL. The Chargers are the worst team in the NFL because of all the money they've spent, and they have no results whatsoever across the board. You feel a little bad, but at the same time, it's like, hey, at least I don't root for this team. They suck. There is no hope. You're kind of starting to think, hey, you know what? Maybe if we get Jeremiah Smith, it'll solve all our problems, and he actually might for a lot of NFL teams. Yeah, maybe. He's unguardable. How will he fare in the NFL? We shall see. Let's go to the next overreaction, shall we? This is from T. Carr. Hashtag, I don't want to overreact, but the Eagles are dead. Nick Sirianni needs to be taken out behind the shed and put down. There is no more dog mentality. Hell, a dog would make better. Coaching decisions. The flower is dead and rotted. Time for a change in Philly. A lot of this, I assume, Ty? Yeah, and this is actually one of the more, you know, kind of tame ones because a lot of the ones that were out there, you know, weren't really appropriate for the show, really going after Coach Sirianni. So, yeah, crazy to think. Guy's been to two Super Bowls. He's won one. They've made it to the playoffs damn near every year. But that's what it is when you are the Eagles head coach and people are officially done with Coach Sirianni. So, boy. I hope they win next week. They better. Otherwise, it's going to get even louder. Eight seconds. They could have potentially had that. Instead, Cam Little and the boys, Devon Hamilton at Long Snapper, steal a win in London. Let's go to the next overreaction as SoFi Stadium is about to come alive with rehearsals. This one's from at Commanders Post. Hashtag, I don't want to overreact. But I would have rather been in Hiroshima on August 6, 1945 than on my couch. Witnessing the dumbest play in the history of football. Dan Quinn is the 28-3 dipshit man for life. This game is cursed and will never be good again. Trade and fire everyone. It's over. Man. That was tough, man. That was a good one. Yeah, I don't think that's overreacting. Hiroshima. That's a fair overreaction, I think. Wow. Yeah. Checks out. I mean, they definitely thought there was another quarter of overtime coming. I didn't know you could be that bummed out to a football game. I mean, Commanders Post, we're pulling for you. Serious T's and P's as you get to another week. And I forgot, you know, everybody blames Shanahan for that 28-3. He was the offense coordinator. You forget DQ was down there. And that was bad. They talk about fire everyone. He did that to the coaching staff before this season. Now we got this happening. Obviously, hope it doesn't happen for the good of Commanders Post, who seems to have a dauber dime at this exact moment. Let's go to the next overreaction. It's from Leonor. It's from D-Bud at Leah Haberville. Bud. Well, here we go. Why does Chris Ballard hate the Colts? Did he intentionally leave us without wide receivers this year? And quarterbacks last year? And linebackers the year before? And 10 years of mediocre quarterback play? Let JT and Buck go get a ring, and let's get some draft picks for a new general manager, says Leah. D-Bud, is this fair or not fair? Fair reaction right now. You mentioned, what, two wins in the last 12 games? You look at what we have out there. Yeah, fair overreaction. Yeah, it is. We have no number one overall pick because we traded out for Saul. You know, Marvin Harrison Jr. has maybe come to save the day. While she was, he's going to the division rival who stinks. And is just playing good for the first time. So, you know, a little bit of a hellacious time for the Indianapolis Colts fan. Don't give up, Leah. Let's go to the next overreaction as this place is starting to come alive. It's from Adam Muncy at Kentucky, dad of three. Congratulations. He was in pre-pregnancy three different times. Bud. The great. The philosopher. Macho man. Randy Savage once said, the cream always rises to the top. And that's what the Packers are starting to do now. Destroyed the Bears. Now getting Micah back in healthy. Whoa. A little premature. Time to start the march to the playoffs. We have some breaking news, actually, on that entire thing. He will not be practicing this week in Sunday Night Football Dallas Cowboys anticipation, participation week of practice. He was supposed to be back. Now there's no telling when he's going to be back. Ty, I love where the Packers are. I love you putting. Micah on the train, but this was a little disheartening to the confidence of maybe Micah being back soon, I think. Yeah, but they, they said no setbacks and he still looks good. So again, I think this is just, Hey, there's no point in rushing this guy back. Um, well, it would have been awesome, especially with all the storylines for him to play on Sunday night against the Cowboys, but I need Micah a hundred percent and fully healthy. I don't need him coming back out there and blowing a knee out again, because then the season does really go down the pooper. So he needs to take his time, comes back, whether that's next week or the. The week after that's okay. They've kind of stayed afloat, uh, while he's been out. I love that the Packers fans are feeling that way and saying, you know what, Micah, take your time. We're able to win, especially cause you just beat the hell out of the bears, a team that we've been very impressed by. Well, here's a bears fan who, uh, saw a second string and third string quarterbacks have success. And then obviously get smacked by the Packers. Shout out to, uh, teams, three teams. Yep. I'm stag. I don't want to overreact, but I have no words for it. It was just a depressing spectacle to watch fourth down failed. Second down intercepted field goal attempt failed. We suck. Were the Packers perfect? No, but they were better than this bears team. I'm done with it. Can Coon. Here we come. Wow. It's without their starting quarterback, but yeah, and the backups play great. And if you get lucky, your backup can hold you a float probably four or five weeks. Uh, but usually you find out why backup quarterbacks are backup quarterbacks in the green. Bay Packers. They had a great, uh, they had great defensive, but offensively, I mean, aggressiveness, they were aggressive, especially when they got around that middle of the field, Christian Watson, golden, they were going deep bombs over, uh, the bears at that point. But, um, yeah, that's a fair overreaction as well as they absolutely stunk meatball subs all over the place from their quarterback position. Bombs over Ben's bear. I don't think they're next one. This one from big chilling. Watson's a hell of a player at Blake Walsh. What up? Wool. Hashtag. I don't want to overreact, but Seahawks might be a one in wonder. Can't run the ball. Darnold throwing meatball, subs, McDonald making stupid decisions across the game. Also made Evans look like he's in his prime Schneider. Worst decision was letting canine walk eyes from the panic button. I don't like this at all. We just want a Superbowl. I just became a fan. Niners are a good football team. That's two picks. There's also two fumble recoveries, four turnovers in total for the San Francisco 49ers defense. It was a home game for the Seahawks. Obviously that place is a massive home field advantage. They're already given up. AJ. I don't like this out of the Seahawks fans. No, I think there's a bit of re overreaction. We, uh, you should trust the process in Seattle. I know you just joined the, uh, you know, you jumped on the bandwagon with Seattle this year. I mean, you lost by three points to a great team that is undefeated. So let's just move on to the next week. If you're Seattle flushes one and keep it going. Oh yeah. Let's just flush the ball. It's NFC West. Flush the ball. Tough. Shannon versus McDonald going to happen forever. Flush the ball. I think Seahawks fans need not worry. And there, there are franchise. Yeah. I love this guy. Well, a big guy dancing a great play here too. I think, um, D but, and, uh, I guess Ty would be the right person cause he had such a long conversation with Schneider, even though all the internet, we trust Schneider. Don't we do, but to have a good football team, 1000%. Even with this game, they had opportunity to win it, uh, something we never see JSN dropping the ball. But yeah, this is a good ball club. You're going to obviously, uh, who was the Dano that said the representative for the NFC is going to come out at NFC West. So they're going to see each other another time and probably in the playoffs. So yeah, it's not the time to have your dauber down, especially I'm talking to you. New, uh, Seattle Seahawks, super fair. Okay. My daughter was a little dong because the Colts do what they do. And then all of a sudden I got Superbowl champions and they said where it went out of bounds is where it counts. And then they said that call on the field. Stands. I don't know. Yeah. I feel like I feel, I feel like I could have been a first down. I guess I don't know the rules good enough in so many different situations. And this was one of them thought for sure. He got out. Cause I thought that line extends forever. Just like the, uh, the end zone does, but I guess it doesn't. I don't know. No, I don't know. We'll figure it out as we go. Seahawks lose Niners win Seahawks fans wondering if they're still the same team, Jackson Smith and Jigma gets hurt early in that game still goes off. That's good. Good news. Sam. Donald has a couple of picks. Hopefully he drops those. Let's move on to the next one here. Nice overreaction from Dolores, Connie at Ms. Sherry red, cherry red hashtag. I don't want to overreact, but who that nation is sick of it. Mickey loser can't manage a team through a paper bag. Kellen no more needs to go. We disrespected the goat on his ring of honor night by taking an L who that say gone beat them. Saints. Everybody. Hashtag. Everything must go. Hashtag. Ain't. Oh no. Oh no. I'll tell you the 20 year anniversary of the superdome opening up and them losing. That was, that was tough. Drew Brees going in the ring of honor and them doing what they did. That's tough. But remember Shucks, young and Kelly Moe, not Kelly. No Moe is, uh, still developing a great team. I don't think I give up on them yet, but the NFC South has some other teams that are probably representing in the playoffs and in the finals. overreaction here. AJ's from Troutish Trevino. Hashtag, I don't want to overreact, but. Even with that win against the ass cheeks of the AFC West, I got no faith in this Broncos team. We can't run or throw the ball. We can't just rely on our defense to win games. We're so fucked, says Troutish Trevino. It's better to be fucked and win than fucked and lose. I think you should stand by that. AJ, you're the man. Thank you for traveling out to Indy. Boys, great work. I'll see you guys tomorrow back there in the Thunderdome. Monday night countdown, 10-9, 6pm Eastern. I appreciate everybody that tunes in as we kick off and countdown to potentially a biblical game here in SoFi Stadium. In the back, great work, boys. Getting everything done. Graphic design, boys. Great work. And, uh, Gumpy, way to go, pal. Took a lot of dolphins, strapped them in the lane, stood in the pocket. Well-deserved. We're a bad football team right now. But we got some good young players. I'm still optimistic about this squad. How come you didn't punk Dano at all? Remember last week you gave him a little head thing and refused to do the hand thing? You remember that? What happened this week with that? Yeah, he knew not to come back over. He didn't even come shake my hand when he showed up. He was just patting his chest like a goofball. Everyone could probably hear it on the show. But yeah, he was just dancing around in the corner. He was playing drums off his chest here while we were talking in the show. Within earshot, and everybody could see him. I don't know if it was like a mating thing. I don't know what he was doing, but he was doing himself jacked. What do you mean? He was sitting there doing this. Alpha move. Warming up on the mound over here like an absolute goofball. Right here, yeah. He got here like 12-50-50 and we went to 110. So from 12-53, once he settled in, put his notebooks down, he started pounding the shit out of his chest. He did a good job of dialing in and focusing. That was going on six feet away from you. He locked in. If you go back and see, there was a moment when Schefter was talking. We were on a big box with the three things to the side and I was trying to tell Foxy to get me off camera, but I just kept looking and I was just like, what the fuck are you doing? But it's Dan Orlovsky. It's kind of how it is. Gumpy, can you talk about the hospitality down there in Tuscaloosa? That place was spectacular. Yeah, there's nothing better than Bama for me. Rama Jama. I was getting to go to Saban's house and have dinner there and go into the game in the suite. Just phenomenal atmosphere from start to finish in Tuscaloosa. Potential hurricane and the people showed up in a big way at that Coleman Coliseum. That felt big in there. Need a little Nick Saban aura, obviously, on his documentary weekend to make one of these. Yeah, that was big. The first one I shot, the first one I shot, I think was going in, hit Skycam wire. That's when I know I'm in for one here. Was not going to get out of there without making it. Shout to Nate Oates, the basketball coach. He invited us into the basketball facility and then I apologize to all of Bama for picking Georgia. Just felt like they were probably going to win that one. And then Saban, boom! Big right hand. Like a tag team down everybody. Alabama Bash brothers, Bryce Young and Nick Saban. And then while I'm laying down here, I realized we still got 20 seconds left of television. Okay. Maybe came down here a little bit early. Did not find that out. But just wanted to bark and let them know how I felt. And to be clear, to be clear, had a wonderful morning. Pretty happy Mason missed here. Shout out to Brantley Gilbert and Gavin Adcock putting a little pressure on the kid who's trying to get it up and instead he pushed it right. Sam, his friend, had all the faith in the world. They had talked about this for a year. It was a wonderful time. We appreciate everybody that hung out. And I think the decision to go into Coleman Coliseum was a good one. It was electrifying in there. And we're very, very grateful. I've also been seeing it pretty good whenever I go to a place. I see a lot of people that used to say well he's just picking a home team because he's trying to get, you know, benefits. That's certainly the case some of the time. Some of these places are very kind. But it does feel like in these games, at this point, I don't know what the rest of the year is going to be like, you can kind of sense how everybody feels. And it felt like everybody was a little bit worried about this Georgia team. It did feel like that. And I didn't sense that from Kirby. And if you heard his pregame speech, I don't think he was sensing any of that as well. And that game could have gone either way. All these games that we go to could go either way. I just try to get a sense for how everybody feels. Felt like everybody was thinking Georgia had a real football team. How much did you waffle on this? Did you waffle at all or you just knew from the jump? Wanted to pick Bama because they came out in the middle of like hurricane conditions or what we're calling for hurricane conditions in the state. And everybody showed up the way it did. The Saban documentary was fantastic. Had dinner at the Saban house. I mean wanted to pick Bama bad. Wanted to pick Bama. Whenever Dez goes Bama Saban goes Bama Bryce goes Bama and I thought Georgia it just, I waffled a lot. I wanted for the good of the Bama people because how well they were taking care and how nice of us they were. But that quarterback right there is playing like a quarterback. Like Gunner's playing like a very good quarterback. He's a great athlete. He's tough. Their run game was powerful which they have been all season but like Gunner's the difference maker I think. He's making real throws. Right now. And Kirby's always going to have the boys barking and if he's going to continue to give these speeches and let us hear them, I have a 100% faith that this Dawgs team can continue to go. But I waffled a lot D-Butt. Thank you for asking. I thank you for asking that. Yeah, why do these speeches keep getting out? I mean I like hearing them. You know, especially when Kirby was like hey let's turn this motherfucking inside run. I love hearing about it. What's going on with this? I don't know. That guy's had a hand over it too as they did the prayer I think. Really hiding it. He didn't want to take it out there. Good for recruiting. It is good for recruiting. And also it's good for us to know what Kirby actually is. When he sits on this show and he has his little glasses on, I love you know just the competitive nature of college football. I just you know these kids working their ass off doing this whole thing. And then on the inside, I want to beat their fucking asses. It's like yes, we like that. That's Bloody Tuesday. That's what we're talking about right there. So thank you to College Ball for continuing to be awesome and the NFL as it wraps up tonight. A.J., you're the man. We'll see you tomorrow. Be a friend. Tell a friend something nice that might change their life. We're in this thing together. Team on me. Anything to say, A.J., to the crew? I think tonight's going to be a hell of a game. It's going to be a barn burner. So you're going to want to tune in not only to the pregame, but also the actual game. It's going to be shots, fireworks left and right. Can't wait to see it. Hell yeah. Love that. Thank you, A.J. Stars will be out, Pat. Yeah, B, make sure you're glad-handed during pregame. What's that? Pregame's tough because I'm doing a show. You know what I mean. Yeah, but I will try to say hello to everybody. Last time I was out here, got caught on camera with the great one, Wayne Gretzky. Oh, yeah. He'll be out here again. Shout out to him sending all the stuff he sends to the office seemingly every day so we're never out of supplies. He's a good man. I appreciate you guys so much. I'll see you tomorrow. Football's the greatest. Team on me. Team on three. One, two, three. Team! Goodbye!
