Kase Keenan delivered a stunning debut as a starting quarterback, leading the Chicago Bears to a historic victory over the Philadelphia Eagles. Despite being a backup, Keenan displayed elite composure, accuracy, and game intelligence, slicing through the Eagles' famed defense. Ben Johnson’s offensive strategy—marked by smart playcalling, motion schemes, and seamless use of playmakers—was pivotal, showcasing his ability to adapt and execute under pressure. The win was not just a statistical upset but a cultural shift, as Bears fans celebrated a long-overdue breakthrough, fueled by deep team cohesion and locker room belief. The game also highlighted broader issues in the NFL, such as the Eagles’ instability due to frequent coaching changes and lack of offensive continuity, which has hampered their performance. Meanwhile, Keenan’s performance demonstrated the value of experienced quarterbacks and consistent coaching, even in high-stakes environments. The Bears’ dominance—particularly through air attacks and aggressive play design—underscored a shift in team dynamics, with potential long-term implications for their future success. The narrative also reflects on the broader theme of quarterback sustainability, where consistency and coaching continuity are critical for success. Ultimately, the game was a powerful demonstration of how leadership, preparation, and trust can turn a struggling team into a dominant force.

And welcome to our humble devotee, the Draft Kings Thunderdough, on these big sports Tuesdays September 29th, 2026. This sports program begins now, football is obviously the sport that we are so incredibly lucky to talk about on a normal basis last night football had an incredible tale of another old man going on to a football field in performing perfectly for a team that certainly needed it on Primetime football against an undefeated Eagles team. 38-year-old Kase Kena makes his first start in first playing time over a thousand days in slices and dices of Philadelphia Eagles defense that we obviously all hold in incredibly high regard. He and Ben Johnson were able to cook in Primetime because Ben Johnson is a super genius. He is a offensive mastermind. He got the ball to all of his different playmakers in a variety of different ways. And the Philadelphia Eagles defense was just spinning. Now, for the first time since the beginning of the Philadelphia Eagles, before Vince Popoli played it. Wow. Before Vince Popoli. That's crazy. Shout out Vince Popoli since before Vince Popoli, all the way to the beginning. They've never gone three games in no turn. This is a historically terrible Eagles defense right now, but I don't need that to be the conversation point. It needs to be the Kase Kena made him look that way. Ben Johnson made him look that way. Now, Cereani had a moment after his quarterback got cheap-shotted for sure where he was caught calling somebody a couple phrases. I mean, very important to society and very soft. I think is what he was saying in this particular time. We don't know who he was talking to, a potentially player, or maybe he was sending out one to Ben Johnson and then just kind of, we're literally making that up. We do not know who he said that to. We assume it was the player. He did not say to Ben Johnson. But that moment in time is such a pivotal time of the game. When Jalen Hertz gets hit late, certainly late. Full cell. I mean, full body floating through sky. I'm flying through the air right now after a change of boom, bang, head smack. Obviously, theunk calls him into the blue tent. While we were calling the game on the sideline for a rehearsal of potential future ones, especially in the big game that's around the corner in February. Our first thought was it didn't look like he was in a bad spot. It didn't look like he was knocked on conscious. Was he a big hit? Sure. They take him off the field, put him into the blue tent, Andy Dalton comes in to cap off a drive that started at the three, ends up at the two, throws a pick, the thing. I mean, in all of a sudden, it's like if they can't score after a 95 yard drive, and Jalen Hertz is getting taken off the field after a late hit into the blue tent, and Andy Dalton is throwing it. Whenever you're this close, you have sick one, barkly behind you, averaging like seven yards of carry. Feels like it might not be the Eagles night across the board, but Case Kingdom was going to force it into them. Every single play they seemingly had a purpose and a reason and was a setup for a future play. And this is why Ben Johnson, I think, was probably feeling a little bit disrespected when everybody was worried about, hey, he's never had a backup quarterback play his offense. He's never had to do that. Case Kingdom seemingly perfect guy to operate him and his kids last night, him and his family last night, him having that massive wind. One last go, maybe another one around the corner, maybe another one around the corner. Hamstrings are a fickle thing. An interesting thing is Caleb Williams is going to try to recover and rehab as quickly as possible. But anytime a muscle is pulled, especially that one with how long it is, you don't know when Perfix coming back and you don't know when it's going to pop up again. Case Kingdom, what a stud, what a night in Chicago, what an environment. Yeah, I believe. Perfect weather. The place was rocking. What a Monday night football. The talks of tables here have Boston Conor and at Ty Schmidt. Ty were talking about it a little bit last night. But if Ben Johnson is able to do that with Case Kingdom, I think Ben Johnson's probably going to have the Bears offense in a pretty good spot for a long time, regardless of what happens at the starting position. Yeah, I don't think I ever really had doubts necessarily about Ben Johnson. But after last night, that kind of just kept it off. You just can't doubt this guy. It doesn't matter what the situation is. It really doesn't matter who he's got playing quarterback. People were acting like, you know, I mean, again, a thousand days without playing quarterback or whatever it was for Case Kingdom is a long time. But he looked like he's started 100 games in a row in the NFL. Currently, I mean, he was unbelievable. I think what he had five completes it. Like they came out just throwing the ball. They put it on Case Kingdom's shoulders. And that off that offense operated like gangbusters. Didn't matter who was in their last. Yeah, and everybody thought that Fangio is going to pack the box because Case Kingdom's there and they got a two headed thoroughbred back there and swift him a non-guy, which they do. Let's not act like they do not with a great offensive line. They came, they come out spending it and Fangio was bringing it. Yeah. Case Kingdom versus the Blitz yesterday. Himbos that 11 for 11. 145 yards, two touchdowns, zero interceptions. And I think he even had a rich gang in one of these at one point. Case Kingdom in bag, understanding exactly where he has to go. Let's go to nine-year NFL vet, man who played all over the secondary. Darius J. Butler. They're good to see you. Case Kingdom obviously against the Blitz is crazy, but that's just knowing where to go. Hot route. Hot route. Whenever somebody comes, is that the big advantage that these experienced guys have? Maybe over a younger backup quarterback? Absolutely. Been around a while. Been in a few different systems. I've seen all the different defenses that yeah, I was shocked as well that he came out spinning the ball throwing the ball over 30 times. They didn't actually run the ball as well as I thought until late when they kind of had to put the game away, but been Johnson. I mean, calling it great, but you got to go out there and play. You got to have a trigger man that can actually make the trees, make the throws. The young guys on the outside showed up as well. Luther Berder had a great game. Khalif Raymond showed up, had some big time plays. Roma Doomsday had the big drop in the end zone, but he made some big catches down the stretch as well. So just getting everybody involved and that's tough as a defense when you can't just circle a guy. Hey, let's stop number 10. Let's double him in a red area or third down. Let's stop this guy. It was just a mix back from the beginning. It was like he was calling his first 15 for the entire game and the Eagles never got going and for all that money that they've invested in that defensive front, Jalen Carter, Jordan Davis, make a move for Bernard for them to not have an impact on this game or really on the season so far. Gotta be incredibly disappointed for Nick Sireon and Eagle. Let's go to one half of the hammer. God! Cowboys, AP tone, under obviously ends up being to play 27-7 and Chicago Bears plus three and a half. Also the winning play last night on Monday Night Football, Monday Night Countdown. They have us predict the final scores as well. Sure. So I thought Eagles win, but 2017. I'm clearly on Bears plus three and a half, which ended up being my pick in this entire thing. Also, love the undergoing into it all. So I think whenever you were projecting the night, we could have never expected Case Kingdom to be like them. No. I mean, could have never. Maybe Ben Johnson and Case Kingdom and maybe the boys in a locker room did, which that's why a locker room is the best place on Earth because they will buy in and believe Joe Thomas. I mean, just told a incredible story about finding out very late into his career with Cleveland Browns. We're never going to win here. It's been over a decade plus than they never had. And I think you'd already been on maybe an O-16 team at that point. It's like you can buy in to anything when you're in a team, especially when everybody's rowing in the same direction. We need buy in. We need everybody on the same page. So we can be the most powerful current that we can have. You know, if everybody's going in the same way, this idea, even if it's not your favorite one, can become better than it's ever going to be. So I assume the locker room believed in Case Kingdom to be great. I assume they were going to pick him up outside of it. It was hard to just buy into the fact that Case Kingdom was going to come in there and slice and dice. So I think a lot of people were picking the Eagles to win. Bears fans are having a good time. Oh, yeah. They were having a good time. Shout out to the Bears fans getting to enjoy this, especially with a third-shrink quarterback. Yeah, right? I guess that's what I'm going for. No, he's definitely backup. No, I know. I heard some things last night. Whoa, make some calls, but no, Caleb. No, no, not about beach and I think people were saying. Oh, number one. Yeah, yeah. That's what people were saying. But nonetheless, couldn't project the Bears to do what they did last night. Shout out to Bears fans getting to enjoy the hell out of the ass beating they put on Monday night football in their home in a perfect evening in Chicago. The underfeld inevitable though. And I think the people win last night or do people lose their asses this weekend to the sports books? People lost their asses. They are always on the over in the favorite. I mean, that's just kind of how people roll. And you talk about like, yes, maybe people would have thought the Bears would have won or covered last night, but not the way they did it. They ran for 281 two seasons ago against the Eagles. So that's if they won last night, that's kind of the way that you thought it would have to be. Not the way that not through the air, just dominating through the air the entire night with case kingdom. But no, for the week the the homebuppies ruff ruff ruff just barked all weekend. Long six and two straight up were home dogs, man. These are dogs. Okay, they're not supposed to win. They are favored to lose six and two straight up seven and one against the spread in week three, where the dogs at home, which is just an incredible stat. They, you know, they talk about like with the vision games, how that kind of that happens a lot, but not just this was across the entire NFL board where home dogs. It was kind of the story of the betting weekend in that situation for all of that. Yeah. And Ben Johnson as an underdog, I think he's pretty good. Yeah, spread back to his time with the Lions and also with the Bears outright. It's about 50 50 on if they're going to wait, but against the spread. He has a finia. He's 18 and seven against the spread as a dog. Okay, whenever he's involved in the entire situation, He is a mastermind and it was on display last night. >> Yeah. >> I mean, you got Luther Burton going, you know, on end around fake double reverses. Obviously, we're throwing to start this big fangio of things. We're definitely going to come out and try to establish the run like we did last year and everything. It's just like Ben Johnson's brain is kind of evident every single time we watch this Bears team. And last night, I think bigger than ever. >> Yeah, it was incredible. And that's like the big thing too is the motions. I remember the first drive, I think they had a motion on their first four or five plays. And it's one of those things that you see and you know, Ben Johnson's doing this with his third string now second, maybe first string quarterback, but still their ability to do that. It makes you question why every single team doesn't do that. That probably goes into practicing player scheme, all those things. But watching the Bears was one thing, watching the Eagles is the same thing. Like for you, Deba, you mentioned how much money they're spending on their defense with Davis and Grinard and Jalen Carter and a couple corners who are probably going to get paid pretty soon as well. It must be so frustrating as an Eagles fan to have to sit through this Eagles offense again with Mayha. You almost feel for them a little bit because they have so much skill with Jalen and Devantes Smith who he's on the sideline now looking too happy, safe, Juan, who looks awesome in the netcroll, needing way more running backs, wearing whatever that thing was. But still for the Eagles fans, you got to be livid because we're what, two years removed from them, winning a Super Bowl and it looks like they are years away from that again. >> Ten different play callers, eleven years. >> Crazy. >> Jalen Hertz. >> That's crazy. >> All right back in college. >> Yeah, Lane Kiffin started that. His freshman year at Alabama and then Pettulo was last year. So from Lane Kiffin to Pettulo, Alabama to Philadelphia, ten different play callers. Now a couple of them have gone on to have great success, obviously Kelly Moe down there in New Orleans. Kelly Moore and Jalen Hertz had massive success. That's why he became head coach Shane Stuykin. Now the head coach are the Indianapolis Cotes. He and Jalen Hertz obviously had incredible success. But Peterson and Jalen Hertz obviously had some success. So the names there are a lot, but having a different voice every single year, even if the plays were the offense is similar because I do think there for a while. This one seemingly much different than what the Eagles offense has been over the past Jalen Hertz era. Different voices with a different plan, different strategy, different reactions in different situations. I mean, you would just think that a guy would potentially do better if he was to be around the same play caller for multiple years. This guy is supposed to be flushed out of the NFL. You get a rookie quarterback that's drafted high and everybody thinks it's going to be good. And you give him four or five different play callers in his first five years. They're going to say they killed this guy, they're killing this guy, they're killing this guy. And then he ends up being flushed out. And the actual excuse is that guy never really had a chance. He had so many different play callers. So much turnover. So much change. Jalen Hertz has that happening in real time and they've won a Super Bowl, been to two of them and he's already Super Bowl MVP. I'm not completely out on Jalen Hertz like a lot of people are because of how much success he's had. But I don't think this is sustainable to keep every year away. I don't think it's like a sustainable thing. Just to learn a whole new voice, a whole new style, a whole new reaction to thing, that just feels like a lot to put on any quarterback level and you know, somebody's already a Super Bowl MVP. That's already accomplished and got paid. That just feel it. And I don't like making excuses for people, especially somebody who looks as cool as Jalen Hertz. I mean, he's laundered detergent clean whenever he is walking around. He walked in there with sweet buds on cool hearing sunglasses, just like the coolest looking guy. So I don't think he needs me to make excuses for him. But that does feel like an insane trend that is happening with Jalen Hertz at quarterback. Yeah, the continuity is a big thing for coaches, for players. Obviously, as professionals, it's more of a back and forth relationship like quarterbacks and I'm coming in there, have their input, the game plan or the play call is going to have their input as well. Even as a special teams guy, I'm sure that continuity meant something with the guys that you had to work with just having a different plan, being able to know what is my defense of coordinators thinking in a two minute drill or in the red area, I can almost know it's going to be one, two or three calls as opposed to what's going on with Jalen Hertz. So are we seeing quarterbacks be successful with it? We've seen, you know, the Marge X and B successful. He hasn't won a Super Bowl yet. Just a herber. He's had to deal with a bunch of different play callers and then you look at the Patrick Mahomes, the Josh Islands, the Joe Burles, like those guys have had the similar voices in their ear for a long time. So it has to be, it has to be a very troubling for Jalen to have to deal with a different set, 11 or 10 in 11 years. 10 and 11 years. And once again, there are some places in some quarterbacks that have a coordinator around them for like longer and have gotten worse somehow. No, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, I'm not doing that. Go ahead, come in. Well, just to debuts point, like Sam Darnold feels like the only one who's been able to do it and actually have success, like, of course, now they lost against the commanders. That's one thing. But he's in year two in Seattle and he's on his second play call already. But he won one with Kubiak last year and that was what his probably eighth and 10 years or whatever. You talk about different styles though. And Jalen having to learn all this new everything, you know, a human, even if it's a similar offensive style, football is football. Kubi are here on play action with the Kellin Moore 79.3, Patula last year 55.1 to start this season. 25. I mean, it's just, you know, when he was a Kelly Moe, cooking, I mean, I mean, there we go. Kubi had another guy on those two teams too. Yeah. AJ Brown, where's he at? You know, is the equals offense okay without AJ Brown and is the Patriots offense okay without AJ Brown? Maybe we need to start talking a little bit about AJ Brown's absence from places on how they do, but also maybe Jalen just needs to get comfortable with this guy and maybe they won't get absolutely demolished on Monday night football by the Chicago Bear. That was a drumming last. Oh, yeah. He's just an absolutely drumming last night by the Bears. Well, and that's very concerning if that's his Kubi R on play action because that is like the main tenant of like the mat, the floor, you know, offense where he comes from like that is where the Packers butter their bread is on, you know, long shots down the field on play action. But it's also for the Eagles, like, he's a first time play caller and maybe, you know, some more established guys didn't necessarily want to go there, but like in Philly, it's different. Like they they had to have known, hey, if this guy comes in and he's not good from the jump, like it immediately turns up to a thousand, like I mentioned this last night when we were on your bus. I was like, they're going to be egging this guy's house by Halloween. Like they absolutely are. And then it gets to the point almost where it's like, we want the continuity, but like we can't bring this guy back. We can't do it. We got to move on. And so like, what are you going to do? And on the flip side Chicago Bears fans are we got a guy, we got the guy, we got the guy of this entire thing. It was still so fascinating that he picked the Chicago Bears. Ben Johnson picked the Bears out of all that could have been a head coach anywhere. Yeah. Probably three jobs in the entire end of Andy Reed. Sean McVeigh probably at the time, at the time, Baltimore and Pittsburgh, probably Tom Lynn and Harbaugh. Yeah. McVeigh John Peyton would have just gotten hired by the Broncos, but okay, so like 26 jobs. Oh, that's it. So 25 jobs if Ben Johnson really pushed hard for to a building, hey, listen, my grandma lives next to the facility, she's near and I would like to coach for your team. And he had no care for how that head coach felt or how that building felt. If he was the push for like 25, he would have got him. Like push came to shove it would have figured out a way for him to become the head coach of that team somehow. That's how they were talking about Ben Johnson. Ben Johnson was like this guy is the one guaranteed to be the one what he was able to do in Detroit with Jared Goff who got shipped out of town from LA crazy, everything you did. So for him to choose Chicago and then the Bears fans literally get the reap, you know, from that decision on Monday night this quickly, beautiful thing for ball, you know, because there's a lot of coaches that are supposed to be the next ones that are asked. Yeah. And there's a lot of places that aren't good fits and it's like him and Caleb, how are they going to fit together? Well, it seems like it's a okay and by the way, I don't think it matters. No. Like how we used to talk about Kevin O'Connor with the Vikings. We'll see with him with Kyle the Murray. It's like no Caleb would definitely do Caleb stuff and Caleb is an incredible athlete. A freak show quarterback. I think he does want to be the greatest of all time. It was proven last night that Ben Johnson can win with me a quarterback. I mean, Kase Keynam slaps the button. But if I think Ben Johnson knew the case could throw with the way he was throwing. But if for some reason, Kase Keynam couldn't throw a football as I think Ben Johnson would have been able to design something for them to win the game. Like I genuinely believe that. So before the season when he says, we're going to break the points records. I think that's because Ben Johnson knows that he has it. Now, the torrential downpour game where they only score three points. A lot of people are going to judge them for that. And I guess that kind of counters my entire argument right here. But I guess it was a torrential downpour. But I think no matter who they have at quarterback, he knew Kase Keynam could spin it. Obviously, Kase Keynam was incredibly prepared. But I think Bears fans now think to themselves for the next 30 years, we're going to be able to just at least compete in win games as opposed to being in the shite that we were for a long time because this guy's in our building. I think we've been Johnson, we can all see like the play called in the play design when he calls it. That's great. But the difference and the things that we don't see that we aren't pretty to us is when we get kind of a peak in post game, it's like the real culture that he's instilling in that locker room and in those guys. And we saw it on the first test and was it burden when they picked them up and carried them seven yards. Like that's that's mindset, that's physicality, that's toughness. So all the things that you made me not associate or didn't associate with been Johnson before he got the Chicago before you had that head man on you here and speak weekend and week out. This is what really can take you over the top now. I'm not going to say here and say you can win a Super Bowl Or win multiple Super Bowls or playoff games with anybody at quarterback. I think you do need special players Especially at those big time positions But yeah any any Sunday any given Sunday or Monday you're going to a game with Ben Johnson with a headset on you know as a team as a fan base You got a good chance. Hey congrats. Yeah, I'm dude extremely disciplined too like they are very distant They don't commit stupid penalties and stuff like that like he is a he is a Psychopath in the best possible way. Yeah, and I also like that. He's got a little heat with people me too Yeah, I like that he's got a little heat with me. Yeah me too. He'll do a quick and shake won't he he'll do a quick and shake Goodbye I'm out here, and he'll also talk shit at his Introductory press conference and be like yeah, I don't care about this guy Bring him on. Let's go. Like that. Is that your coach? That is my coach. Yeah, that is the Packers coach. Yes That's the thing is like when you see that this guy in your own division and then like you said you're like you're already thinking like Jesus Christ I won't be 55 before I know it. This guy's you know, he's still there. Yeah, she's there. Keep me up at night Yes, he is and it doesn't feel like he's losing any juice He's only getting more comfortable. No, right. Hey good better best never let rest too good Better new better is best in the whole place to scream in and he's like, yeah, we're just good right now We need to continue to go the lads will go to war for him. Oh, yeah Yeah, it really does feel like he hears it too because he mentioned the quarterback Because it wasn't not only just a backup like he hadn't coach a former number one like all the guys Caleb and Jared Number one got number one overall picks So he mentioned it in his post game like oh, yeah, I thought we're gonna have issues calling play so I like that You know use in a world where coaches and players and quarterbacks always sending right things are doing the right things trying to at least I like how Ben is a little different and just to what Ty was saying about his coach Like you look around the division is Kevin O'Connell MCDC and Ben Johnson like Kevin O'Connell was the other guy We're talking about being the cubie guru. We know MCDC's MCDC and it's just not before in comparison of those guys sucks What have you done for me lately? That's kind of what it comes down because his record is great But you know Rogers ain't coming through that door. Yeah, but remember last we just have this conversation last night There were some things said in the microphones. Maybe a few years ago. There's a little bit harsh Get home. Oh, yeah, well, I stand like that, but yeah, but yeah, you're right Maybe a bit too over the top I agree what about con man just right there I mean if we were to pull up the floor's record. I think the floor go guy would yeah, she's great That's a recency bias, but it it is concerning when these guys It is it is concerning when they can't Over the last several years like they can't beat teams in the division, you know, it's like last year Not not and then the year before it was the lions like already this year with the Vikings like the amine He sucks. Oh jeez They're incredibly undisciplined to eat well, and that comes down long season still. Yeah, you have a coach Alright, this is a good time to do the coaching. Let's not give up yet. Okay, let's not completely give up Okay, the floor we like the floor. Here's a regular season coaching record of 76 40 and one. Yeah, that's pretty good Okay, what is it without Rogers display offer? Well without without an MVP on his team. What is it? Well, and that's a whole fascinating thing too because we kind of hold that against the fansky with what happened with Baker Sure, right the head success finally in Cleveland with a quarterback and then seemingly that all blows up You get him out of town somehow and then with Aaron Roger situation in Green Bay. It's like they kind of right. Yeah, I mean we they were kind of The floor was pretty much done with the whole break him and good to coons were like all right. Let's kind of We're done with this thing. He's going into a dark hole is now the time. Yep He's going to get a thousand text messages. This guy's going into a hole for a week He's never going to be able to know when or how we did this. He gets out of the hole Scanced through sees the hey, we're moving on I was 60 70% retired coming out of that hole and then I was right right in that one Aaron So they choose to move on from him. They are crowned as geniuses Okay, crowned as geniuses. This is the right move. Packers always get it right They draft before they're supposed to at the most important position. They develop they do everything the right way This way is supposed to do now. It does feel like there comes a time where they're going to have to pay that off You know like the backers going to have to pay that off that they are the super geniuses that they were all crowned for whenever they kicked Aaron Roger's out of town and maybe it was the right move at the time in theory But you're only going to be judged if you have success and right now it appears in the NFC North There's a lot of teams that are primed for success Yeah, for sure and again They're one of those franchises where like the last couple years like it's not good enough to get the last playoff seat And then go get beat in the first round of the playoffs every year like that just that doesn't work Some places that just doesn't work some fan bases would love to have that like our Packers fans Spoiled because of that maybe but like that's just the reality of the situation like you can't Sneak into the playoffs and then get your ass beat in the first round when you have all this talent and the expectation is this team is going to make a deep Playoff run especially when you have other teams in your division who are the teams that are beating you in the playoffs sometimes All right. Well, we move away from that skipper To our skipper. Oh, yeah. Yes Skipper. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah, he's skip and remember I think there was some things said about this man That should have potentially been directed at the entire classic Yes, okay, okay, my skit was my skit your skit our skit. We traveled to go watch this skip skip this country skip Multiple time in tonight. MLB wild card kits off a hundred and 62 games led to this to see who could potentially hoist The missioners trophy bingo Ladies and gentlemen joining us now our skipper. Yeah Host on MLB networks the hot stuff every single morning. Ladies and gentlemen Mark the Rose You're the best man. You are the best. Thank you a lot of no 162. You didn't know 162 I forgot if it was 182 or one I I'm do I 62 or 82 was the number there was a ping-pong happening Yeah, by the way, by the way real quick, I had some cheese on on Philly last night. I am cold as ice in the early going in the NFL season Well, it's I thought there was a response. It's been tuffy. I got to breath responsibly make sure it's a responsible amount of cheese Don't be an asshole and ruin it for all of us. Okay, we need that to remain a thing But you aren't the only one in the NFL right now has been impossible to predict You have no idea who's going to show up when what's the record of teams that have gotten blown out by at least 20 points And then how they performed the following week. Okay, so there's a there's a stat right now early in this season teams lose by 20 and then the next week they are so there's six and two straight up seven one against spread after losing by 20 So how the hell are we supposed to know how the hell are we supposed to know D rail? Let's talk baseball after a hundred and 62 games We know exactly who's who MLB wild card starts at 5 p.m. I do believe 2 p.m. Is the first game never mind 2 p.m. Eastern Philly's verse the Braves 5 p.m. Hockey I believe is starting to know NHL is happening. I apologize a lot of sports big sports Tuesday So 2 p.m. We got the Philly's in the Braves then White Sox Astros Red Sox Yankees Cubs Padres Do we all these teams have a chance to win the World Series? Some of these teams sneak in here and going to get exposed like how should we view Wild card baseball and playoff baseball as a whole D row No, everybody's got a puncture's chance But I think the teams that are built with depth. I mean, obviously the Dodgers come to life I love the way the Brewers have played the entire season. I need them to take a big step forward this Last year they went into Dodger Stadium and kind of got Smacked around a little bit. I think they want to write the ship there The rays have been the best team in the American League all year Pat We'll see if it holds chalk whoever wins that Red Sox Yankees series We'll have to go down to Tampa and take them on that place is You walk into the tropa canna zone Yes, it is. No, they hit you with they put you in a nice, you know, you're on the marina You get a breakfast burrito a nice base tan maybe take a dip in a pool and then you go into this dungeon And you get wiped out by like five different pictures throwing 98 miles an hour So that's not an easy place to play But we're gonna get it going with Philly Atlanta right out of the shoot with Chris sale on the bump And I saw your interview with him and he was fantastic. You guys were riding me I was right. What do you mean? That's not true. He said take it easy on D row. I heard him. Well, you heard him stick up for you Which I respect. I'm looking for people sticking up for me as well across the board I understand where you are coming from there But yeah, he wasn't a part of team USA You know it wasn't part of team USA and he's having a great season a great season this year You know, and it's not on you D row. We've all learned I ask Chris sale I walked right up to him in north port and spring training. I said you in he goes ah man. I don't think But also that world baseball classic. I think they're gonna have to move that thing I think there's gonna be some conversations about that I think you took some unwarranted shots which we all understand now But let's talk about wild card baseball and let's talk about playoff baseball you talk about the race It's raised brewers Dodgers and guardians guardians. That's three smaller market not massive payroll teams right and Dodgers are Right is that good for baseball? This is good for baseball going forward if the If who's the low issue? I think the guardians are the lowest payroll in the league If I'm not mistaken dear. You can correct me on that if I'm wrong. But I saw a graphic this morning. I'm pretty sure I think it speaks to doing more with less You know, I really do I look at the Tampa Bay rays and I look at the Milwaukee brewers they use their entire 26-man roster to get it done. There's no egos, there's the occasional superstar spattered in there. They both have true number ones, they both have weaponry in the bullpen. They can beat you with defense, base running, a little bit of small ball. So they have a variety of ways to beat you, as opposed to when you turn on the Yankees Red Sox series tonight. It's going to be 80% six foot five on the mound, fastballs down your throat and who's going to run into one. Is what's going to be the deciding factor in that series where when you take on the Milwaukee Brewers or a Tampa Bay race, somebody like that. They come in with a game plan to attack you a little bit differently and expose your flaws. So the big salary caps are the big bullpen's big hitters. So we got gas across the board. Whenever we talk to skip Murphy from the Brewers and we brought up like old school baseball. Is that how you feel you play and he goes, I don't think that's how we play. I think we just played baseball, how we have to play, we understand who we are and how we're built. But that means we're trying to get a couple hits, we're trying to get on base. We're trying to work counts, right? We're trying to throw ball, not that Miz is doing that, but pitching mostly coming in, we're working baseball. Like as opposed to, we got ace, ace, ace coming in just to absolutely kill and we got home run hitters across the board. That's the difference between big salary and small salary teams. Is that is that basically what you would say? I think that's a fair statement. I think the great teams try and turn themselves into the Brewers are raised with superstar type players, with better, with more talented players, so to speak. But it doesn't mean that's necessarily going to win the day. I just look at the Milwaukee Brewers and you look at the postseason as a whole. Usually it comes down to someone blasted and won because the pitching's so intense, right? You're going to have matchups, you're seeing with the Yankees roster. John Carlo hasn't taken a live A.B. since August 24th. What gives anybody the reason to believe that he could potentially step in a box five, six months later and run into one? But he's on the Yankees roster for one reason. He will come up with a big spot against an around this Chapman with one shot to either punch out or go deep. That's why he's on the roster. So we'll see if that takes place where the Milwaukee Brewers are going to attack you a little bit differently. They're going to try and work counts. Now don't get me wrong. They still have stars. Jackson Cheerio is one of the best players in the national league. William Contreras. These guys can shoot you, but they're going to attack it a little differently, supporting cast wise. I like that. We got baseball on display. It feels like throughout the entire playoffs. Now you mentioned John Carlo. There's another name noticeably apps in there from the Yankees. Go ahead, Ty. Yeah, Dero. How big of a deal do you think it is that judge isn't on the roster for the Wildcard series? I mean, I think, personally, I mean, this is a little biased, but I think the Yankees have the best pitching rotation in the majors, which is why they are definitely a team who could win the World Series. But we know they struggle against lefties. The Red Sox are going to throw two lefties if we get to a game three. How big of a deal is it that judge isn't going to be in the lineup for any of these games? It's certainly, Ty. I think it's a huge deal just because, you know, you can make the argument. He's the best hitter in the sport, but he didn't look good when he first came back. It's his right calf. If he could have gone, I think he would have forced the issue to be put on this roster. I actually think it makes Boone's job a little bit easier knowing that. Because if Judge was going to be on the roster, you were going to want him in right field. Right. Because you want Goldschmidt in there against the lefty. You're not taking Ben Rice out. There's just not enough positions for these guys to kind of handle. So I think it makes Boone's job a little bit easier. I would say if I'm Boone right now, he's trying to steal this series and get Judge off his feet for four days. And then bring him back, hopefully, against the raise. And he's healthy and can play a little bit of right field for him. Let's talk about stealing the series. Go ahead, Boston Conor. Yeah, Dero. We started this morning talking about basically everyone's favorite pitcher, you know, paying toly for the Boston Red Sox. Yeah. Him on the bump today. What do you think the Red Sox have to do? Ty mentioned the lefties kind of going for Boston take advantage of that thing for the Yankees that they can't do. Which is hit against them. What do you see from this series? And you think Boston has a real shot to win the whole damn thing. I need to see Wilson Contreras and feel good about him. I'd like to see him roast something in a gap or go deep and make me feel good about his hand and how he's going to be a force in the lineup. Listen, Boston Mac, I think the last team the Yankees really wanted to see in a wild card round of the Boston Red Sox. I really do. I mean, with toly and you got crochet going to the bullpen and Ranger Swarez has been an absolute monster. Look at his postseason numbers. So if it goes to game three, he certainly won't be intimidated taking a rock and Yankees stadium. Toly's had a ton of success. I know Schlitler has against the Red Sox as well. What is it? 15 and one teams that win game one. I think that certainly holds true in this series. So I'd like to see Peyton Toly give you some length tonight. Hold on. So whoever wins tonight, it's over. That's what I've heard. Listen, it's not over, but the, you know, the analytics say you steal game one. It's looking bright. I'm not a huge analytics guy. I kind of like the, you know, unless it's a hundred percenter, I would like to believe this almost is, huh? This sounds like it is over the last five wall questions. The game one winner has gone on to win the series 21 of 2088. Percent's pretty high. Yeah. Do you have any travel right? No, yeah. Same. Yeah, all I need is a stadium box. Wow. Short series. Huge night tonight. Huge. Huge night tonight. Huge night tonight. Huge, my friends. Yeah. Just walk hard. That's why you play on him. It's my one bedroom apartment tonight, hair on fire. We're going to be in a three point stance watching all four games. I like that for you, Debra. That's why you're our skip. Yeah. Okay. Let's talk a little bit more about the entirety of the postseason. Go ahead, Gary. Yeah. I want to ask you about the deepest bullpen just overall, but actually being the biggest this game is tonight. I was surprised. I'm a Christopher Sanchez fan. Who is the ace? Who is the ace out there in Philly? Is it Wheeler? Is it Sanchez? Who is it? All right. Here we go. You ready for that? I broke this one down. This series will come down to how good Christopher Sanchez is in game two. Because the way I look at it right now, game one, you'd have to think Chris sales got the upper hand against a potential bullpen. We don't know what Lazardo is going to give us lengthwise. Right? So Donnie baseball might be in a situation here where if he's down by four or five runs late in this game, he might have to use like kind of his B list relievers and almost I don't want to say punt it. But move on to game two and it'll all be on the back of Christopher Sanchez. Because if and when it goes to game three, Zach Wheeler's never pitched on short rest before. And as good as he's been, you're going to want all your horses behind him to try and win game three. So the money and the pressure is on Sanchez game two in that series for me. Now money and Donnie baseball are kind of spinning it out there. We got short rest for a guy. Yeah, he did. I get you. Did you do this this morning on the hot stove? The M.O.V. Central. Which also. Oh, yeah. You're in a train station. The show's not called hot stuff. Hot stuff's coming up. It's coming up in December. We're going to have a hot stuff. That's like free agents. The detective D. Rose still going. I see a flame around a stove and I see you doing your thing, Donnie. You know what I see on the TV? At one point. Yeah. Usually that's a Sean Casey bit. That's a sea. That's the sea. That's the sea. That's our hitting code. That's our hitting skips. And also a guy needs to shut his trapper around two, three a.m. after big world baseball class. Sean Casey's got too many stories. That's why they call him the mayor. The guy was friends with everybody. Well, maybe in a world baseball classic, Sean. Let's keep some to ourselves. Let's create new stories out there. What don't get us some hits case? Sean Casey doing incredible work back in Pittsburgh. By the way, Casey's club was taking care of the community, which we appreciate so much. Him and David Allen, I think, raised over 100 some thousand last weekend. You know, in a fashion show. I mean, it was a. It's close up. We love Sean Casey. Then we hear the story. Oh, yeah, the boys roll in for seven hours. The boys didn't get out of the club. Us until 6 30 a.m. after a massive win over. Lithuania. Right. Yeah, I heard. I heard it was fantastic. Okay. Let's talk about another team. Obviously we're all excited about. Slom D.A. go time. Go ahead, Tony. Yeah. Dero, actually, I think this is as far as like fireworks and runs are concerned. I think this is probably going to be the most exciting wild card series. You correct me if you think I'm wrong on that one. That's Cubs and Padres that looked over the last 30 days. The Padres have the best batting average in the MLB. They have guys that can hit home runs at every spot. And then you have PCA on the other side. The MVP, the 4040 man himself. What's your thought on this series? It's going to be a tough series for the Cubs to steal. If it was in Riggly, I would lean their way. I think Peco minimizes a little bit of the Cubs slug. Park plays a lot bigger than Riggly field. Michael King doesn't get enough love. He'll, he'll totus lab for San Diego. They have arguably the deepest and best bullpen so they can shorten games with Mason Miller on the back. end. But I'm interested to see as this series goes two, three games like Nick Pavetta is probably going to be your game to starter for San Diego. They're starting rotation outside of Michael King kind of limped to the finish. Nick Pavetta coming back from injury. So pitching wise, can the cubbies expose the depth of San Diego at some point in this series? But I agree with you. San Diego's the scary team because their stars have been starin' down the stretch Tatis Machado, Merrill Binhott. I see every star out there, especially when the stars be starin' and when the stars are starin' in Chicago, it's a beautiful thing. Shout out to PCA, obviously a big fan of that entire team, but also on the south side. You tell me a little bit about Moonshot, a talk of More Akami and the White Sox boys having a great time, a great celebration. Are they team semidies? You want to talk about a Puncher's chance pad here it is with the White Sox, right? Because the depth of the rotation and bullpen will get exposed in a long series. So how do you cover that up? With More Akami hitting a big three-run bomb somewhere along the line. That ballpark balls will fly out of Houston. So I do think this is one of the series that it will come down to one or two big swings. I think the White Sox steals this series on the back of a couple of big, like you said, like a Merrill Akami, a Colson Montgomery runs into one somewhere along that line. So yeah, I like the White Sox Puncher's chance to get out of the wild card, but I don't think whoever wins this series going up against the Guardians and their rotation and depth, I think they're going to have a tough time. The teams will separate themselves as what you're saying in this particular sport of baseball where rosters can be pieced together, but people can get hot. Senator other stories can happen. And if it is the Japanese man, moon shot at talking more Akami in the Chicago White Sox, we will celebrate the hell out of that. They'd be stroking over there. They'd be stroking. They'd really be stroking in the West. And they might be stroked to best to be honest with you. We shall see. D-RO, you're the man. We appreciate you brother. Oh, you're the best man. I'll miss you guys. I'll see you later. You're the best. We would like it to be known that our skipper here. Got a text about 10 minutes before the show won live. Say, "Hey, can you join us about 25 minutes to talk baseball?" He goes, "Absolutely." You love the sport. Obviously, you love MLB as a whole. And we love the fact that you do that first. We appreciate you, skips. Love you, skips. Love you, skips, skips. I'm in the back. Enjoy today. Ladies and gentlemen, that's Mark Zaroz. Hey, D-RO. He asked. Art D-RO. Take me home. I just heard that when you guys said D-RO. You got a little country roads in there. I'll tell you, you're going to have to win a world baseball classic for us to do a full song and re-mix to that. Sure. But I think he's on his way. It might be the world baseball classic that you guys have been wanting to blame as opposed to just D-RO. Yeah. Oh, yeah. I'm coming around on that big time, but D-RO is such a good sport about it. And he's hilarious of kind of defending himself. That it was kind of like, well, let's just keep kind of pepper and D-RO and see what creative stuff he'd come up with with the defendants. Oh, Johnny Baseball. And he did come up with great stuff. And he emptied the clip on MLB Baseball phrases. Yeah, he did. He told in the slab just everything running into one, a piss missile to the gap, all of it. Yeah. So we were on a hockey guy on a regular basis. Yeah. And he unloads the hockey clip every time I'm around. I'll tell you, he can talk a dog off of me trucking. I'm starting dying laughing. I've like, I've never heard that before. And then there's just another one right after a little heavy handed, you know, like this guy is absolutely hysterical. Those cultures that are around each other a lot, like Baseball is on the road. Those guys live on the road. Hockey lives on the road and in the training room, they get like a week and a half off then they're back in there again. I feel like that is a good place to just start a lot of the chirps that never end. That's why I'm excited that NHL hockey's back and hockey players are a little bit more exposed to the public. I think the more we learn, the better the hockey culture is going to be viewed by people. And baseball the same. After going out there and watching a team USA and meeting these guys, they got a lot of bros out there. They got a lot of good dudes in baseball. They have the same hockey mindset where it says about me, I'm going to get beat down. I'm going to fail a lot. I'm just trying to get by and all that. We got a lot of good dudes in these sports. Hopefully we continue to get to showcase them. And shout out to the playoff starting for baseball. Yeah. And shout out to Andy Chelsea's and drop in puck at five o'clock today. Joining us now is a man who is one of the faces of the number two sport in the United States of America, college football. He's a host of college game day. And every week this season, he has joined us for Reese's Pieces from the weekend with Reese Davis. How you doing, Reese? Thank you for joining us, brother. Tom, please to be with you guys. I enjoyed listening to Mark DeRosa, man. That guy's great. I love watching this player. He's fun. That's what you got baseball in the family, right? The boy plays a lot of baseball. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. My son's still playing still banging around in the independent leagues. So yeah, we're out there all off season. Yeah, for all off season for football, I should say. I'll tell you what, good idea. Complementing DeRosa there because from the sounds of it. I don't know if any major league guys are going to be playing in that world baseball classic going forward. We might have a little Reese Davis out there. We need them too. We need them in there. Okay, let's turn to college football massive weekend coming up here. We're heading to Iowa City for college game days first visit in 20 years. We'll be there live on Friday, the slate before we look back at what you've learned from before. Can you tell me a little bit about Ohio State Iowa and then Alabama, Mississippi State, becoming an absolute thriller at noon down there with two young quarterbacks that could be the future of the entire league. Feels like we're in a really good spot, especially with this weekend, Reese. It is a great way to start the second month. It seems you sort of set the foundation September and those two games that you mentioned. I mean, a tie's ball club has two walkoff wins already, including the one that I mean, I can't wait to ask her parents, what was the play call if you hadn't had the injury because they could they didn't have time to spike it. You have to have three seconds to spike it and run another play. I know if it was the same play call that ended up being the touchdown pass to Vandersee, Iowa the two walkoff wins. If they win this game, Pat, look at that schedule, the rest of the way. Not that there aren't good teams on it, but I didn't see I didn't see Oregon in there. I didn't see UCLA who's playing great. This is a real opportunity for the Hawkeyes man. Huge opportunity. You heard time. You heard Todd just taking their race. He goes no Indiana either. Yeah, you're saying no Indiana that's right side. No Indiana. He's pretty pumped up until maybe an Indianapolis. That's what I'm talking about. We just had to secure our tickets last week for that. Certainly the big 10 championship. It was a great time. And I think a nice showcase of certainly the last three national champions have come through there. The SEC, though, seemingly a bit deeper. Those young lads that I talked about there, the Alabama Mississippi State. I mean, you're you're talking real ball players. And you know, Nick Saban made a joke. Okay, a couple of them about Camaria Taylor. If I was a coach now, I'd be trying to figure out how to get him in the transfer portal. He made a joke is what he can joke like that. I know he's Nick Saban. I know he's not allowed to do that. He is a TV personality, though. So he is trying to make things entertaining. And he's talking about what I think a probably a lot of college football coaches are thinking as they watch there. And then I said, I'd give this guy 10 million, come and watch Virginia. I believe I immediately followed up that's reality. But Mississippi State is not thinking like that. And I don't think Camario is thinking like that at all. What I'm thinking is they're all the way back for at least the next three years with this guy and then Cuban Russell. Same exact thing. Two young special talents. Game day certainly could have gone down there. I think if it wasn't for us being at the SEC, the first three, four weeks, however many wasn't all kind of blends together. And then us having a show love year to Iowa hosting a massive one in the big 10. I think that definitely would have been on the docket to head down to Mississippi State for that Alabama, Mississippi State game. But how do you describe the future of those two programs is but let's they're staying there. Obviously, but that is a huge thing to have. If you're one of their fan bases this early in the season to know like, Hey, next couple of years feels like we're in a great spot, Reese Davis. I think it's really easy to look at those two guys. And it's really early and we've seen quarterbacks fall off this year. So now that I've offered that disclaimer, would you really think I was crazy if we looked ahead to the 2028 draft and said those were the first two guys take? I mean, both of them have every trait you would want. If there's only one program in the country that wouldn't be glad to muster together 10 million to try to lure Camario into the portal and be Alabama, they've got their guy. And, you know, I would say I would say this because I can't joke either sometimes about stuff like that. The great thing about Camario, he's a local guy, grew up loving Mississippi State, parents or fans, Uncle played there. I don't think he's going to be the Lord of Way. And plus states got, states got access to cash. He's going to be around the next couple of years. And when you can build around a quarterback like that, I agree with you 100%. They're going, I don't know if they're good enough and deep enough to win the SEC, but they're going to have a problem or be a problem and they're going to have a say who does over the next couple of years for sure. Maybe they can build around him by next year and do something special. Great environment. I think there's broke a record for the amount of cowbells and the sound of it or whatever. And you have an electrifying player like that. I think that helps get people to come join you is just like the NFL. If you have a great quarterback or something special, that's easier to recruit. I assume that's going to continue to happen. In 40, you know, Mississippi state guy. He needs to open up, he platinum record of the platinum record. a platinum record going to help that roster. I think you already have. I think plenty of others have as well because obviously they've seen a successful miss. Let's go ahead and start dancing. They might have their guy congrats to them. Okay, let's talk about this past weekend. Let's dive into some Reese's pieces. What's your big takeaway from this past weekend of college football, Reese? Biggest takeaway was from the game where we were at the Texas Tennessee game. You have no choice but to rank Texas number one. They have the best win in the sport, beating Ohio State and then they won in that environment. But I'm not convinced that they're necessarily the best team. Now, maybe they will be by the end. What they've done defensively has been really impressive. The 10 sacks against Tennessee. They held Jeremiah Smith. Might be the best player in the sport without a catch in the fourth quarter against Ohio State and that comeback win. So they've got room to grow. But I need to see before I decide that they are the best team. They are the favorite to win the championship. They are truly elite. I need to see a little more consistency and explosiveness out of their offense. It would help if they could run the ball a little bit better. So I'm not sure that there's a great team yet. We've got two more months for teams to grow. I'm just not sure. Texas on defense looks like it's headed that way. I need to see more out of Texas offense. That was a big takeaway from that one. The other big takeaway I have was another SEC game. I know what people are going to think. Florida and Ole Miss. I still think because the Trinidad champ list that Ole Miss might win the whole thing. They have Trinidad and you don't. But Florida is real. I mean, they're real, real. Because when Trinidad started doing Trinidad things and getting them on the cusp of a comeback and he thought, "Oh, here he comes." Florida answered the way it's answered all year. They run the football right through your face. They don't care if you know. They come and they punch you right in the mouth with that running game. They did it to Auburn and they did it to Ole Miss. I think they're going to be -- they've got Texas and Georgia coming up. You better strap them up tight when you play Summer All's Team because they are going to hit you and they're going to run the football. They might have some deficiencies on defense. So I think Florida's around for the long haul. And probably the other thing, this sort of falls into what we were talking about with Ty and Iowa. There are some teams lurking around in college football, a little bit quiet so far. And you're going to find out just how good they are coming up in the next few weeks. Iowa is one you're going to find out Saturday. I've been really impressed with what Bob Chesney's doing at UCLA. You take Iowa. You take UCLA. You even take Nebraska. He's going to get Indiana in a couple weeks. And we may have some sneaky teams that give the big 10, the type of depth that everybody has been saying, well, the big 10 is good at the top. But what about the middle? What about the upper middle class? UCLA's got Oregon coming up over the next couple of weeks. Maybe those teams are pretty good and give it some depth in the big 10, too. Yeah. Chesney comes from JMU. It does have a signety style to him. It has 11 JMU players, I believe, currently on UCLA who can run the ball, can win games all of a sudden now, nowhere. And I think UCLA, if they were able to show some success, they have a lump that would potentially getting, I think they're just a group of people that need to be shown. We need to be shown that you can at least be a competent bunch here and maybe win some games. And with what's happening with USC, you know, with football and a lot of big hype, a lot of big conversation, nobody at the opening game, okay, because it was hot at that thing. It was very hot. It's like UCLA with their alum in Los Angeles with a coach that's seemingly very competent, has a style that can travel in big 10 football as well, because they can run. It's like maybe UCLA becomes in spawns into a team that is for real in the big 10, even though nobody could have predicted it. Now, there is an SEC team that people are kind of judging pretty harshly all of a sudden, go ahead, Tom. Yeah, these people are pissed that Mizzou is still a top 25 team. I'm not sure if you've seen that on the internet, they have, they've been a top 25 team. I think 32 out of 39 weeks, but they're only one in 10 against ranked teams. And then you have teams like, you know, Virginia Tech and Pitt, who play this week, who who aren't in Nebraska, who you just mentioned. Now, they haven't played a lot of those teams haven't played anyone yet. Still, but what are your thoughts on the SEC and people being mad about the bottom of the SEC teams like Mizzou and them being ranked still? I think Mizzou is a pretty good team. I think they really let one get away or maybe they had it taken away from them by Camario the other night. You know, I'd have, I know, I consider putting them late in my ballot still, but they haven't beaten anybody of note. I think it's probably more appropriate to, you know, I Duke is another team that I think should be in there. So maybe that, maybe you look at a team like Mizzou and I'm not sure they're a top 25 club. They're French. I don't think it's egregious if people rank them, but I don't think it's, you know, it's beyond the realm to leave them out either. They're an average team. They're pretty good. Chance to get better. Got to shot it Florida this week. But, you know, I think any team like that in that middle class group from the SEC that gets the benefit of the doubt from the pollsters is going to get some reaction. Pat, I looked up something you asked in the meeting on Friday and it's a rough number, but the number of voters in the AP poll that are outside the SEC footprint, at least in terms of where they work right now is right around 60, I think 68% or so. Kind of a rough number. Okay, that's good. First of all, thank you for getting that answer because that I did wonder. I'm like, does the defense is always, look how many ranked teams are in the SEC. It's like, well, who's doing the ranking? I would like to know who's doing the ranking, to know who thinks that these are the best teams. 68% outside the SEC. Okay. Yeah, it doesn't mean, you know, it doesn't mean some of those might not have some SEC ties in some way. Like, you know, I do, you know, I work for ESPN. I went to school in Alabama, but generally speaking where they work, you know, is like, it was about 68% right now outside of that footprint. Okay, it's a good question. Speaking of voting, yeah, DeBot has a question for you. You don't listen right there. You talked about Texas. Obviously, you said they have to be number one right now, but I've been asking you every week. And I asked you again, you've had another damn up there as your number one team. Who is your number one team now as we head in the week five? I had all missed last week ranked there. And I ranked Texas number one because I felt like I had no choice. I wanted to honor the accomplishment. And no one has accomplished what they have up to this point. I still think the best team is probably from among the group as we sit here right now that are completely unproven in terms of who they played this year. Miami, Georgia, Notre Dame, Indiana, you know, are among the teams that, you know, maybe we're going to look at that, went over Northwestern from the other night. Maybe Northwestern has a really good year of Wisconsin after it's great win against Penn State. We might decide that was a pretty good win for Notre Dame. But at the moment, they really haven't accomplished anything. So I feel like you have to rank Texas number one that we're at least a month into the season. If a team has accomplished something, you need to honor that. In Texas, this talented, Texas may prove to be the best team at the end. I just don't look at them right now and say, man, that's a juggernaut, you know, that's going to just run through everybody. But they have the potential to improve. And everybody, everybody has that opportunity. I think they have a lot of dogs on that team. Yeah. Yeah. For my understanding, there are dogs across the board on that team. Just yeah. Everywhere on that team, dogs, which leads to number two team in the EP, George. Yeah. Which we obviously all think have dogs across the board. And also Gunner is playing better football quarterback than he's played. Since we met him the first time in a big, I'm sorry, the SEC championship game, I think whenever he got completely airborne knocked out on like one of the first runs by McCugan. So we saw last night. Yeah, we saw last night. Okay. Yes. That's the first time we saw Gunner. We heard his name was Gunner. And he's George Bulldog. And he's a damn good dog. And we're like, wow, this guy might be the perfect Bulldog. And then it hadn't really right back to back as he's champs. Is that good? I don't know. You tell me having won a national championship, though. So failure for Kirby and for Georgia. And then now he's allegedly playing quarterback better than ever, completing every single pass. He still has got that he still has this. And Kirby has a bunch of guys from within his program who have kind of developed into this team that they are now as opposed to just like buying a team that a lot of people are doing, not that he didn't buy their cruts. Correct. Let's not get it crazy. But he did build them up through the system. So I mean, it's hard not to just get excited about the potential of Kirby having a team that is not really being respected and having a quarterback that's playing the best he's played. I mean, I think we'll find out. He's number two in the eight people. You're just what you're saying. No, no, I'm saying too, for sure. But I still I think they're getting a respect. But you tell my respect. I mean, Reese had Ole Miss number one. Everybody has one of that. It's the best quarterback. What Florida did told I know you got to got to re-rank these things every day. People aren't respecting Florida. I mean, I think eight is a good spot. But if they go and beat the shit out of Missouri again, this weekend, I mean, and there's a chance that's going to happen. Missouri against ranked teams, not that great over the last 10. I think it's like one in nine or something is a stat that's coming out. Now I will say, Reese, we do not have an AP vote in the Thunderdom. We do not have one of those. But we do have an above average poll every single week. And Tony put his above average poll together today. Guess who he has on top of his poll, Reese. I'm going to guess he's got Florida. Reese Davis knows it. No, it doesn't. Tony got Florida. I will. Georgia. How How did you piece your pole together this morning? Yeah, Risa. If you don't know, I kind of do like a who won the weekend with also a cumulative from the entire year. So far, Florida was by far the winner of the weekend for me, beating your number one team in Ole Miss in this swamp, just absolutely like you talked about, just bruising, running the football, buster, falconer, just so much eye candy, so many things. It's awesome to see what him and Aaron Filo are doing after coming from Georgia Tech. And then I put Iowa in there as my second winner from the weekend. It's also undefeated on the season, just an absolute huge win. Now they host Ohio State, coming to Iowa City, and then, yes, Georgia hasn't played anyone yet, but they have looked damn good, not playing anyone. So, you know, I have them lurking down there at the bottom, and I can't wait to see. I believe they go to Tuscaloosa next weekend, so that'll be an interesting one as well. A little swampy pole here, first time we've seen that. Truly. Remember this did above average pole because it's not too far removed, but we're not all the way in every locker room either. Not an actual AP vote. Just tones above average pole, congrats. Thank you. Thank you, thank you. Reese Knowing who's, uh, Reese knows. Yeah, Reese prayed down in. Let me guess, the dipshit went with Florida, uh, yes, actually Reese, that is 100% true. Now, the team's second there on the above average pole. The Iowa Hawkeyes last play magic to get a huge dub, and Iowa boy catches that. And now college game day returns. Ty has a question for you. Yeah. Reese, you mentioned on the college game day podcast that you weren't necessarily rooting against Michigan, but that you wanted Iowa to win because you want what's, whatever's best for game day. And I think you probably knew that if Iowa were to win, that game day would be going back to Iowa City. What are your expectations for the show on Saturday? It hasn't been there in 20 years, and obviously last time they did go, you weren't the host of the show. Fowler was. What are your expectations for a Saturday in Iowa City? Well, I think it's going to be awesome. I've seen some shots of where we're going to be set up, and one of the things that I've mentioned to our director, Joe, is I might want to do scene set, sort of try to recreate, you know, the swarm, you know, the way that your ball club comes out, you know, arms locked together right there to sort of walk out with, with the rhythmic intensity instead of just storming out. And Joe told me, he said, they're going to be way too many people there for you to move. He said, you might be able to recreate it, but you guys aren't going to be able to move forward. It's going to be too, it's going to be too proud. So I can't wait to get there. I've been there and called basketball games there, but I've never been there for a football game. So I can't, I'm going to stick around for the game, can't wait to experience Kenic Stadium, and it's going to be, it's going to be a lot of fun on Saturday. I can't wait. We are pumped to get over there. I had a chance to experience a game day whenever we were doing the bar still tailgate show, took the train in, did the show live from a house? No service. No. No. No sound either. Well, there's no sound on that particular show, but I think that is, and we did a pretty good, pretty good. I think optically show, but nobody, we didn't know that there was no sound. But it was the amount of humans that were just kind of dispersed everywhere. Do we know where the game day set's going to be yet? Do we, do we know that? Like, yes, he showed me, I can't remember the name of it, Thai, you might be able to help me. The, starts with the P, the Pentecrest, the Pentecrest, the Pentecrest. The Pentecrest, that's the Pentecrest, right in front of the old Capitol, I assume that's what we're putting it. Okay, so that's in front of the old Capitol, where is that, is that on campus? That's on campus. That's the Pentecrest is like the middle of campus, we're all like the four major buildings where like most of the undercrests have like lectures and stuff like that. So if they're doing it on the Pentecrest and not on the other side of the river near the stadium, there are going to be so many people there, yeah, yeah, that's the old Capitol in the background right there. I used to walk up and down that every single day going to class. So like there will be, that's going to be rocking, that's awesome that it's there. Oh, we're going to be out there on Friday, can't wait to see you back on campus Thai. I'm excited. Yeah, I know you are. Certainly. And then obviously college game day 9 a.m. from Iowa City as another Saturday slate of magic kicks off for college football. We appreciate the hell out of you Reese. Likewise fellas, always good to be with you. Have a great day. Ladies and gentlemen, Reese Davis. So you're telling me D.R.O. show isn't the hot stuff. He gets, he gets into the hot stuff of a decent amount. He does. Man. There's definitely a portion of the year where it is the hot stuff and he'll be cooking on the hot stove nonstop. Yeah, it feels like he's always cooking. Yeah, hot plate. That's funny. Baseball comes over. I do a little lasagna. So tell you, she got both right out of the gate and I lost a good bit of cheese on it. Back on the other side, be a good friend. I'll be you. See you then. Football is the greatest and last night case kingdom sliced and dice the Philadelphia Eagles defense to a slaughtering by 27-7 dub for Ben Johnson in the Bears at home in front of an electrifying soldier field. Obviously, you know you're in history when you're in there and what the Chicago Bears were able to do last night was pretty historic. QB3 for the Chicago Bears just a couple of weeks ago comes in and Ben Johnson offense against a Philadelphia Eagles defense led by Vic Fangio, a team that has won a Super Bowl in the past and is loaded across the board and picks them apart. They were innovative. They were fast, they were strong, they were cerebral, they were quick, they were calculated. They were beating the hell out of the Eagles from the opening kick. Now, obviously, there was a goal line stand whenever they made a bad decision on what particular play. You know, buddy, Rome catches that ball, it's a whole different conversation, maybe four touchdowns, four case kingdom on Monday night football gets the Philadelphia Eagles. But instead, it stays close and then in a second half, the Bears put them away basically. Ben Johnson, I don't know what he said at half time, I don't know what the messaging was, I don't know what the boys started to buy in and believe to. But in a second half, this Bears team just said, you know what, yeah, we are a much better team than this team and our quarterback is playing better quarterback than anybody on their team, including Andy Dalton, who threw a pick on the two yard line after they drove 95 yards from their own three. What a win, what a night for the Bears. What a time for the NFL is the Chicago Bears seemingly all the way back for the foreseeable future. Maybe the next 30 years with Ben Johnson looking like he might live forever. The toxic tables here at Boston Conor and at Tyshman, one half of the hammer down Cowboys AP Town is here under and Bears right plays last night. Yes, it was. Always. Home dogs plays through the weekend, yes, six and two straight up, seven one against spread. How about overs and unders throughout two weeks? So throughout the season right now, unders are 25 and 23. Home teams are 25, 21 and two, these are all against the spread. And that's it. That's really all I got there. Okay. I like it. Oh, and you'll like this one. Teams that are receiving 50% or more of the bets are 17, 29 and one. Fade public time. Yeah. The issue with that is my brain. Pretty public. Yeah. Yeah. A lot of my thoughts are hurt. Well, you did a great week, though. I did. I do do well. I started seeing the board a little bit, which is good. Hopefully that'll continue for all parties. Nine year NFL vet, Darius J. Buller. Yeah. Yeah. What's your last night from Monday night football in Chicago about the Chicago Bears or maybe the field of Eagles? Oh, I learned the field of Eagles are in trouble. Once again, you talk about another play called or Jalen Hertz found a way to win a late game against the Titans. It was a big game, a big moment Monday night football. You're going up against the third string quarterback. Obviously, you got, you know, good players and the good coaches over there. But as an Eagles fan, as an Eagles player, Eagles coach, that's the game you expect to go in there and win. And they did not. And it's a lot of questions with the offense. Like there always is, I thought, say, Kwan, we get going a little more, some questionable decisions by Sean Manion throwing the ball down there with Andy Dalton. And then even that play right before the half, where Jalen Hertz barely got the snap off and got the sneak. That was a wild play to call a screenplay. I said, 19 seconds and no time, I was left, but you barely got the touchdown in there. So, yeah, Philly's, Philly's, Philly's probably in trouble, and I mean, the Bears, you learned a lot about Case Kingdom. I'll tell you that much. Yeah. Case Kingdom might be the guy. Yes. Case Kingdom got another five years being a certain quarterback in the NFL. Good. How many different offenses could Case Kingdom operate right now, especially with how dynamic the Ben Johnson offense is? We got motions. We got shifts. He hit like 10 different targets. I mean, everybody you've heard of that are on the Bears. Come at Lovelin, Roche, Menongai, Swift, Adonze, Luther Birdens, are running back now? And also, yeah, it was just like, leave Raymond. Leave Raymond was nuts. Crazy. I know I did. He was that fast. I guess we should. He's a returner. He gets that ball. He has tape hanging off him. He is absolutely out of the gates gone. Any player that was maybe uniformed last night, that was a skill position, got a stat. And it's like, is that Ben Johnson? Yes. Is that Case Kingdom also operating in offense like perfectly? Yes. First time in a thousand days to be that smooth. It's unbelievable. Case Kingdom accomplished that. To your point, eight guys had catches last night. Then he spread it around. Obviously, and then three guys, I want to sorry, four including Case Kingdom had rushes. Yeah, because he had a rushing touchdown as well. Yeah. I didn't love the play. The guard bail. So the detackles just go, oh, no, they're balls going this way. I got to move them. this way, and then he just kind of run right up that's going smart, that's smart football. Not only do we have this, we also had push push last night. So it wasn't appearance of the quarterback sneak in both parties. First touchdown was Luther Burton. Yeah. On a run. Yeah. Well technically pass. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. I mean, Luther Burton was all over that. He was unbelievable. I actually pregame. There was a time where he caught a pass when they were just kind of warming up and he took the football he had his helmet on and he started bashing the football off of his helmet. It was sweet. Ben Johnson's culture. Yeah. And now it's another man who was certainly smashes head off of football. He's in an attic in Ohio, ladies and gentlemen, he's a college football national champion, Super Bowl champion, Ryder Cup winner, AJ Hall. Yeah. I'm off. Haka, how you doing, pal? I'm good. Pretty much a story of book night for Case Cannon, huh? Yeah. With his family there. You know, my kids never really, they don't, you know, they might have been there. They never really seen me play. So it's the first time they get to see daddy. Yeah, dad cooks. Dude. Dad cooks. It was outrageous. 11 for 11 against the blitz. So they bring pressure to kind of, hey, Case Cannon is going to have to win this game. Case Cannon is going to have to win this game. Pack the box, bring people. You got it. No problem. Throwing around people, finding his hots immediately. I think he even got some deep shots on those somehow. It's like everything he needed to be, he was. And I didn't expect that. I don't know if anybody expected that other than Case Cannon in that locker room. They were special to watch and special to be there. It was magical in that soldier field. It sure felt like that. I mean, it came through the TV copy. It looked like it was an awesome atmosphere, especially how well he played early, like from the jump. I think Deepon even said in the first hour, it was like they were on their first 15, the whole game, like how they just kind of stayed in rhythm. He got rid of the ball, too. I didn't, I'm, I'm pretty sure he was not sacked at all last night. I know the Bears got two sex with their defense, but how about the Bears defense as well? He's been in the young rookie safety to get to pick. He's playing well. He's all over the field. I know TJ Edwards got another pick. It's just they're, I think this Bears team is legit. And I think Ben Johnson takes some pride, too, and being able to have a guy at Case Cannon up and ready. Yeah, and there's a turnover. Last year, the Bears obviously led the NFL and turnovers from a defensive standpoint. Normally football gods kind of don't let you do that back-to-back years. I mean, just my, who's there? DB coach over there? DB coach. I don't hear him. No, he sees. He's the man. He's got a big time. Everywhere he is, turnovers, right? Absolutely. Everywhere Al Harris plays and everywhere Al Harris coaches, there is turnovers in abundance, right? Not accurate. Absolutely. I think he was coaching Doron Blaine that year. Yeah. You had huge, uh, Trvon Digs. Digs, yep. Um, they sound right. Who kind of came out of nowhere last year for the Bears? So yeah, he, he kind of leaves his imprint wherever he goes. Yeah, because normally that many turnovers football luck you're getting. So the next year is a big downfall. It's like Bears. I don't think. Maybe this is just who they are. Maybe they are. They are. They are. They are. They are. They are. They are. They are. They are going to have takeaways. That seems like a fun team to be a fan of, Tashman. Yeah, it does. And, you know, I was just saying there, it just adds insult to injury because he is a Packer's legend. Yeah. You know, for him to be over there, he was the, you know, we're going to take the ball. We're going to score pick six against Matt Hasselbeck. Like he, he is ingrained in my memory in so many great moments of Packer's Lord and then to see him just, you know, at their most bitter rival and just continually doing the right thing. I would assume he's going to get, he should get a DC job here pretty soon. Yeah. I would have thought he would have one at this point when he left Dallas. I would have thought he would have one. But we'll see. You know, I don't know what goes on behind the scenes, but I know AJ's played with him before you. Obviously seeing him. He's a South Florida legend. I would definitely love to see him calling the defense. Yesterday was the seventh time to Bayer scored 10 plus points off a turnovers in a game under Ben Johnson. Obviously, that's the most in the NFL across the last two seasons. Well, not just getting turnovers, let's go ahead and take advantage of him as well. And Case Kingdom obviously very sharp. And I don't like to say this because it might sound like it's not a super complement to Case Kingdom. I think Ben Johnson could win with AJ Hawk a quarterback if he had not, not to Case Kingdom didn't play incredible. I think he did play incredible, but I think if you needed to draw up a plan with AJ Hawk as your quarterback. He's guys got no cartilage in his knees, okay, but once he gets rolling, he can roll. He can throw the ball, loves throwing it deep. Think he's so cool. Let's keep him happy. He's not scared to get in there and throw his face. I think Ben Johnson could draw up a design and a strategy to win a game with you a quarterback. I genuinely believe that. Now Case Kingdom had to execute perfectly and he did. I'm not, this is not a take, but I, I think Ben, all the hype about why Ben Johnson was going to be the coach everywhere is just so evident. Every single time we watch his teams celebrate, play, prepare everything. He feels like he is the next one, you know, it really does and he was hyped as that. So it's crazy to think that he's been able to pull it off. It doesn't feel like a guy, like you seem to usually get one or the other. Either they're like the, yeah, genius play collar offensive guru guy, but they lock themselves in the office and they're like a football nerd and they don't know how to run a team. Like Ben Johnson seems like a perfect mix of that football, crazy guru, genius guy, but also like the ultimate leader that knows how to, you know, we, it seems pretty evident from the day he got there. You know, who is in charge there at the Chicago Bears? And I think we continue to see that over and over again. So credit to him and this whole team. I'm sure the whole city of Chicago is very, very happy. And Ryan Poles, by the way, offense alignment, you know, so I think he is very proud of the team that they've been able to piece together, the deals they've been able to get done and the offense of line that they have. I mean, their offense aligns stout and it's going to be expected to be because that's Ben Johnson's offense. Ben Johnson, 40 years old. Uh-oh. It goes to 75, boys, at least, especially with science now, maybe there'll be realignment of what the NFC North is and maybe you guys won't be in there with them. Maybe they'll take the Packers and the Bears out of different divisions. No, I mean, if you want to, if you want to be the king, you got to kill the king. And right now they are, they are the king. So I would like to be head Ben Johnson. I just, I'll tell you what, I'm going to need to be on the wetstone for the next, you know, four or five years sharpen in that blade in order to do so, I think. You're talking about like in a royal setting. Yeah, we're talking medieval here. Yeah, you're at that restaurant that I'm at, I'm at medieval times. Yeah. Yeah. One night. It's about to your yellow team or green team. Yeah. I suppose green team. Are they still bringing it? Medieval times? Oh, yeah. Yeah. Of course. Is there one in Iowa City? We've been looking for a place to eat on Thursday. No, I gotta find one. No. I mean, there's bunch of floor. I gotta find one. There's a bunch in Florida. Can we look? I'm looking. The closest medieval times to Iowa City. There's definitely not one close. I know that. I know that. Oh, my God. You guys are missing out. I'd be one of them. There's one on campus. What? What? Uh, it's, Friday is going to be electrifying. Yeah. Yeah. I cannot wait. I saw the shot from Reese. That's pretty sweet little setup. Yeah. I can't believe we get to be there. Should be fun to get back on campus. Friday, noon, eastern, 11th central will be live. From Iowa City kicking off a massive big 10 celebration for college game day. Joining us now. Let's go. Regular season buck. Yeah. Regular season starts today. Midnight. Five PM. We got the Panthers. Taking on the hurricane. Woo. A man who will be there, representing, talking, that good talk about that stick talk. Ladies and gentlemen, he's a horse owner. Yeah. He's a lot of the lads. He's a standing cup champion. He goes by big hornle, ladies and gentlemen, Eric Johnson. Yeah. How you doing, Hornle? You know what? I feel used. You don't call. You don't ride all summer and then hockey rolls around and I just, I just feel like a mule. What am I to you? A mule. I know. A hockey mule. There's been a lot going on in our life. We have the same for you. You look refreshed. You're glowing, Hornle. You know that you're glowing. Is that because opening puck day, uh, opening stick night? Hold on. Before you get caught, got to answer our calls when he was in Vegas for two weeks because he was in a bundle of sticks on the floor every night. Oh, you're talking about when we were trying to cover the standing cup finals and we couldn't get a hold of anybody for 10 days because the loot puddle on the piss man. A little bit of a runaway out there in Las Vegas. Is that, is that what we're talking about Hornle or are you talking about other times? I've spent enough days in Vegas in the last year for the rest of my life. I'm done, but I got to go back twice here in the next two months, but no, I am happy to be in Raleigh and I think what a great night to kick it off with, you know, the, the Panther's won the cup in 24, 25, the Canes win it in 26. These guys are bitter rivals. They hate each other. Brady Kitchock told me the other day he's going to set the hit record tonight that he owns at 16 in a single game. So I mean, I mean, they have a guy named the butcher on their team for Christ's sake and Radco Gouda. So this is going to be an absolute war. OK, so the butcher and Brady probably going to throw down a little bit to set the tone. Do you think Brady is planning on breaking the hit record because it's his first game with the Panthers would like to set precedent on who he is, wants to set the tone or is it just the style of the Panthers are going to be playing all season long with who they have now on the roster. Brady included. I mean, the Panthers are like the modern day broad street bullies like the flyers used to be back in the day. They can beat you with skill. They can beat you with physicality. They can hit. They can fight. So really, whatever style another team wants to play, the Florida Panthers can do it. And I think with Brady, he wants to fire his team up. He just came over in a huge trade in the off season from Ottawa, wanted to get out of Canada and play in the United States and with his brother. So he's been going to be fired up to get this Florida Panther team back on track. Remember, they missed the playoffs last season. They dealt with a ton of injuries. So they're going to be fired up and ready to go and Carolina on the flip side is going to be ready to defend their title against their bitter rival, the Panthers. A lot of Pounder Superfans. - Yeah, I know we've moved on from Bobby in there. What can we expect from our new goalies over there for the Panthers? - A great question. So it's well documented. But Brofsky went over to Toronto in the off season. The Panthers brought in Mark Strum from Jersey. He's a huge goalie. Takes up a ton of net. He's sort of getting to that age where you wonder if there's going to be a decline in his play, but I think the opposite. I think he's going to be reinvigorated, rejuvenated with the Florida Panthers. And I think he's going to be a rock for them and net this season. And that's really the only question. Is it net for me? I think Florida is built to win it all. The only question will be if Mark Strum can carry the mail for them all season long, which I think he can. - Love that the NHL is starting their 82 game regular season here today on the MLB wild card kickoff as well and also NFL in full throttle. It is a great time to be a sports fan. It's also a great time to be in Chicago. We got to see that last night. Go ahead, Ty. That hornle, the Bears are back. They went to the playoffs last year. Want to play off game. Both the Cubs and the White Socks are in the playoffs starting today. And for a couple of years now, we've been here and Conor Bedard is, he's the next great one. He's the next wano. And he's kind of been a bit of a squid up to this point. That's just what people are saying. That's not necessarily what I'm saying. But you talk about this guy being the next Wayne Gretzky and his team's hammered dog piss, but they're on national TV all the time. It doesn't really make sense. But they do have the night cap tonight in Vegas. Is this the year that the Black Hawks maybe kind of turn things around and they get back to those Black Hawks teams a couple, almost a decade ago, that were winning all those cups? Is Bedard finally going to take that next step and stop being such a squid? Yeah, first off, I do want to give a shout out to Case Keenum. No one pretty well. Colorado guy. And I'm really happy for him. He finally got his first chance to start in over 1,000 days. And with his kids, it was just awesome. The man can launch a golf ball, launch a football. So I'm super happy for him. But back to the Black Hawks. Yeah, I think it's a fair question. Bedard has all the tools to be the next generational superstar face of the league. And I mean, it's not always linear, I think, in players' development. And let's be honest, when Chicago was winning all those cups, they had a heck of a core and a nucleus before Keen and Taves got there. They had Sea Brook. They had Keith. They had Sharp. They had Bufflin. They had Crawford. They had all of these pieces in place already. And for Bedard, they really didn't. It was Bedard and kind of the pieces have been filtering in over time. So I don't think it's fair to judge him on what's happened so far. And even maybe this season, I don't think Chicago is going to be a playoff team this year. Could they maybe sneak into a wildcard spot? Yeah, potentially, potentially. But Bedard, the weight's on his shoulders. And he's had to do it all by himself, which isn't necessarily fair. I think the pieces are becoming in Chicago and they're going to be good for a long time. But Bedard's a superstar. He's going to be a great player for a long time. He just might not be right now for Chicago as far as being a cup contender. Yeah, but maybe we don't call him squid though. That's not what I'm saying. I'm seeing a lot of that out there, though. How deep is squid, you know? Like where do we rank squid amongst these great squid? What will be below squid cement in the skates, probably? No, cement skates mean slow loser. So we got like idiot. Sure, okay. Dork pigeon. Well, I'm not getting to there. I'm doing human stuff. Oh, you're just doing regular stuff. Yeah, this is human stuff. If you could just give me the ranking, because pigeon mop it, squid. Your guys' words, I would just like to know where they rank. You know, like you sit down on a card table to play poker. Good piece of information is like, what beats what, you know? I would like to know, and your guys' word, what's the worst? Is squid the worst? Because it sounds the way there's a cue in there. Nailgun's the best. We know. Nailgun is. What is like if you really want to get another hockey guy, you walk up to a hockey guy and just want to write to the balls with a word. What is it? Squid? That thing was pretty big. Squid's not great. Some guys throw around turbine. He is a complete turbine. I don't know exactly why that gets thrown around. Pigeon mop it. You could go on and on some that I could say in the show some that I can't. But squid, I wouldn't, I wouldn't use squid for Bidard boys. No way. Absolutely. Good to know. Okay. It's clear. Yeah. I didn't like that. You need that at all. So now that we got that kind of figured out, yeah, we got to the bottom. Pretty rude. Well, they're not doing that though, but they're not seeing it on the, well, I've seen it everywhere. A lot everywhere. You just see it last night when we drove into Chicago and we almost got to the game Sears Tower. Bidard's a squid. I don't know who put it on. They did not do that. That's not true. It just need that to be known. Sears Tower to not do it. Is that his name? That's not the name anymore. But that's what I call it. What is the name of that thing? Willis Tower, right? Yeah, they're right. Yeah, some go. Some turbine change the name. This is ridiculous. It sounds like it maybe is that used properly there? Do we use turbine properly there or no? Talking to you. Yeah, talking to you. Wait, stop. We're going home, man. We're going home. Guys, something make us, man. Lights are on. Lights are on. No one's home. Lights are on. No one's home. No, we know. All right. Let's talk. Oh, here, other comment. Just not put this up yet, okay? There is an entire list here being shown to me of common disrespectful terms and insults in hockey. Pylon. Pylon. Okay. Okay. He's saying they call you that. Don't they? There's an old horn, old horn was a bit of a pylon back there. I can't move. I think is what they're saying. That's in the boots. Yeah. There it is. Grocery stick. A player who sits on a bench right in the middle separating affords from the defense. That's good. Okay. Okay. That might be. Yeah. That's good. That's good. That one's a bit of a grocery stick. No. Bones in their work. I'm pylon. All right. Let's move. Hockey's back. We're going to talk about actual hockey. Up in Boston, we have a pretty big ceremony to be had. Got con man. Yeah. Let's forget about the pylon. Talk about the nail guns. Pasta, donning the sea now for the Boston Bruins. A lot of people making a big deal about it because he got in, McAvoy didn't. What is kind of your take on that entire thing and are the Boston Bruins probably favors to win Lord Stanley's Cup or where do you see them this year? I wouldn't go that far, Conno, but I think it's unusual because there's not a ton of European captains and especially an original 16 like Boston. But I know Pasta not only does he have an all-time nickname, great style, great for the league, good personality, and I can't speak to exactly the leadership hierarchy in the Bruins dressing room. McAvoy would have been a great choice. Pasta is a great choice, but I just think he's been there. He's been there for a long time. He's one of the best players in the league. Some of the face of the NHL in a lot of ways and along with a lot of other guys. I just love the swag and the style and everything that Pasta brings to the table. No, I don't think the Bruins are favorites for the Cup. I think they can be near the top of the Atlantic Division this year, but I think Pasta is a great choice. I think he can lead them. No, the Atlantic Division's run by the same horses that have been running it for 20 straight years. Exactly where we want to be. Okay. You guys are favorites? Well, should be. No, I know you're not. It's the Panthers. Well, we're in the Metro. Yeah, we're not even in the Atlantic. I'm too much to win it all, man. All you're talking about starting the game. Yeah. Here's my daily landing. Pittsburgh. Penguin's going to win it all. That's why we brought everybody back. They're the favorites. Yeah. I don't. I mean, I know. I don't know. I don't think so, boys. What? I think they can sneak in, but I don't think they're. I don't think Sid's going to win another cup in Pittsburgh as much as I love Sid and I love it. Plus 8,000. Pretty good. I'll take that. I don't like it. Where's Sid the Colts? Holy crap. We're dropping the puck. We're making it in. What? Excuse me. Colts are plus 6,000. The Queenos have a worst chance at the Colts to raise the trophy. I-- Hold on. It's got no idea. Okay. This guy has no idea. That's the sportsbooks, baby. We're bringing him on the show. He's just spewing misinformation. And obviously, we all learn on what we need to believe as the season rolls on. It's hard to believe. Hold on. Thank you. Hold on. Go ahead, tone. Thank you. Oh my god. Oh my god. Yeah. Responsibly. Responsibly. Responsibly. Responsibly. Responsibly. Responsible. Oh, that made my day. Four months over the fence. Ruins over the fence. What? That's all a teleporter. That's all a draft. All right. Let's go to a team that is plus 6,000. Somehow has better odds than the Pittsburgh Penguins. AJ Hawk has a question for you. Blue Jackets. Obviously, plus 6,000 actually. When I saw that earlier, I wasn't feeling very good about it. Now that I see the other odds for these guys' squads, I feel great. But Zach Werencky, obviously, the 200 foot phenom we got here in Columbus. How's this season going to be going to play out for them? And what do you think, you know, their optics are for this team? They got a new coach. Are the boys going to buy in? Yes. I feel for some reason, AJ, the blue jackets are always mired in controversy. Their star players don't want to play there. They want to play there. They don't want to play there. Werencky requests a trade. They have a trade in place to Dallas. He rejects it. Says he wants to be a blue jacket. Carl Marchenko doesn't want to play there. He just got traded to Toronto. Matthew Nies comes in the other way to Columbus, which I think is a great move. You get a player in Marchenko that had no interest in being a blue jacket. They ship him to the Maple Leafs. You get a stud player in Matthew Nies come in the other way. And to speak on Werencky. If this guy played in Toronto, he would have won two Norris trophies already. Werencky is that good. good, plays in a smaller market. He's an American, so I don't think he gets all the credit. should, but he's arguably the top defenseman in the NHL won the Norris this past season, and a top three in the conversation every single year, total stud. - You're telling me that a team that nobody wants to be on has better odds when a Stanley Cup than a team has Sydney Crosby on it? Okay. - And Geno. - Okay, before a longer tooth over there. - Five, flowers back. - When the tooth is sharp, Bob, it don't matter how long that thing is. Okay, you just start, we can get gators now without a long tooth. - Yeah, we can craft through the exactly. The Pittsburgh Penguin Sabertooths, that is what we are, long, sharp, strong teeth. Okay, let's not be judging them too much on that note. I don't like these odds, not one bit. The conversation about not wanting to be places has certainly kind of heightened in my eyes after the Olympics. So all the boys that were on American teams after winning the gold medal got celebrated in their arenas and obviously was held in high regard in the towns in which they were. Go to the grocery store, maybe stop by. Hey, thank you for what you did for American. The boys that were up on Canadian teams, very different reaction, I think, obvious for obvious reasons, Canada loses. It feels like maybe they didn't get a chance to celebrate the incredible accomplishment in game that they had as much as everybody else. Brady's out of town. Halibuck, right? Halibuck, our goalie, stopped every puck, a hundred shots. It's not enough for Halibuck, okay, to do this. He held out, is that still happening? And is that ever happened? And he wants to get out into America and is this normal? 'Cause in hockey, I don't think I ever really know about holdouts or any of these types of like exits that you just mentioned a couple of different times. 'Cause hockey feels like such a, this is what you do. This is how you do it. If you don't like it, that's on you. This is what hockey's always been. This feels like a pretty large story that has been happening here post the Olympics. Can you tell me a little bit more about it and how often this takes place? - Yeah, I think it's unusual, but I also think as time has gone on, the players have more power than ever before. I mean, when I broke in the league in 2007, you kind of put your head down, you got the job done where you were at and you made the best of a situation, even if you weren't happy. Now these guys are demanding out left and right. And I don't think this is exclusive to American players. I think it's happening right now, 'cause it's front and center. But let's be honest, if the Winnipeg Jets were a contender and a Stanley Cup favorite, Connor Hellbuck would not be asking out. If Bill and Larkin was playing on the Detroit Red Wings and they were a Stanley Cup favorite, he would not be asking out. When he used would not be asking out if the Vancouver Connucks were a contender last year. So I think this is painting a negative light on Canadian teams while maybe a little bit, these American guys wanna play for American markets, but let's be honest, if these Canadian teams were Stanley Cup contenders, these players would not be asking out. Same with Brady and Ottawa coming to Florida. - Okay, thank you for clarifying what the-- - Boys, I gotta run though. I gotta car to go to the arena. - All right, you're the best, ladies and gentlemen. - Thanks, boys. - Here we go. - Hawkeys happening, per Elliott Friedman, Connor Hellbuck to Carolina Trade may now come down to Alexander Nykishin, going to the St. Louis Blues. Blue Pox is reporting that now the Friedman is reporting. I had a few sources reach out to say St. Louis has been a consistent pursuer. And some people are surprised it hasn't already happened. Sounds like Nashville tried and couldn't get there. Coach Sabin, obviously owner of the printer is one of the owners. I think you sent him into Hollywood Bucks House. You might be able to get that done. - Is that a three way trade then of Carolina and St. Louis, is that what they're saying? - Yeah, they'd be looking to work a three way deal. - Nice look. - That shouldn't be a lot. - What do you mean? - They just won Lord Stanley's Cup, and now they get Connor Hellbuck now. - I think he might come in to the penguins though. - Yeah, probably for Crosby and Malcolm, but you don't wanna do that. I know you don't. - No, it could. - No offense to Hellbuck. He had an incredible gold medal game. And I appreciate what he did. - He fell off the wagon after that one. - Okay, well, whatever the case, you saying Crosby and Malcolm would be what it takes to do that is. - To get an American, you wouldn't do it at least. - Very valid, very valid point you just made there. - Yeah, 40 years old. - Yeah, you get how it looks for 10 more years. - I'm here from Pittsburgh. - I'm looking at that. - I'm looking at the future. - Have brought you happiness. - Yeah, I'm glad of it in Pittsburgh. - They did bring me a ton. They're idols. I have pictures of them hanging in my basement. - Mine. - If we're talking about the 38 year old. - For a goalie, I hate to say it. - It's true. - You point out 40. - We're not trading. - The goalies? - Sydney Crosby and Malcolm out of town to St. Louis or Carolina. - I thought you were getting McDavid in that deal too. - I would like McDavid to come. Now if we're talking McDavid, we can't take Crosby. - Yeah, Gino and Tanger. - No, keep those guys. - Give it six more months, McDavid. We'll be begging to get out of Edmonton. - We'll give you guys everybody else, but we got Sid Gino and Littang. Hockey starting. I'm sure we'll be able to follow all 82 games that they have if they drop Puff. - 84 now. - Yeah, 82. - Why add two more? - I tried it earlier this year. Kind of redunculus move is that. - Rangers Bruins same time as Yankee Sucks. I love that. - Double box. - New York and Boston battling. - Oh, a triple box. You know what else tonight? - What's that? - Nope, nope. That's all I got. - You know what, that's all I got. - That's all I got actually. - And Sid eat your lily. - What's going on? - Are the cards played? - Is it raw? - No. - No. - Los Vegas is coming to town. Play the Indiana fever. - Oh, okay. - I'm going to get on prime. - WMBA playoffs happening tonight. - Boom. - As the Los Vegas aces who did not win it last year. The Liberty won it last year. And they are taking on the fever here. And this is game three of the two. - Game two. - Got to what most wins. - Best win. - Best win. - Winner go. - Winner stay home. - Sucks it's on prime. - I was going to say. And that's a huge mistake. - Why? Because we won't be able to four boxes. - Bingo. And guess what I will not be doing. Sacrificing Yankees and Red Sox for this game. - Oh, so the aces are looking to go back to back right now? - Yep. I believe. - Yeah, they won three of four. - No. - So they're looking for four of five this year. - They're in the middle of their dynasty. The Liberty stole one there. That was two years ago. Last year aces win their third and four years. Potentially going four and five. That's a real dynasty over there. They got a problem on their hands tonight though. As the fever are going to catch fire. It's going to be a hot night for the ladies down there. And Gainbridge Field House. Do you about you going? - You know it. - Nice, congrats. - All right, man. - Absolutely watching. - What? - Panthers. - I don't know. I don't know yet. - Wait, still waiting to secure my ticket. So I might not be in there, so hot ticket. - Go on Seeky right now, they're available. - They're not sold out. - Yeah. - I know they are. - It's taking part in Green Dots. - No, no, no, no, you're lying. - Tyree Stark. - Season ticket. - First. - Well, first home playoff game, all right? - Never? - No, they won a title in 2012 to make a catchings. Catch up. - I said Katelyn Clark. - Didn't they go to the finals last year? - No. - Something like. - Come on, Austin, come on, man. What's your problem, man? - Catchings can shoot, man. - Tamika, still a legend in Indy. - Yeah. - Is that what she meant to go? - Olympic gold medalist multiple times. She is absolute beast here in Indy. Speaking of Seeky, use code Pat McAfee for $30 off tickets. Here are the top selling week four games of the NFL. Cowboys, Texans, the Battle of Texas down there. Green Bay, versus the Buccaneers. Chief Raiders, Broncos, Niners, and Patriots, Bills, Use code Pat McAfee for $30 off tickets with our friends at Seeky. What are you so upset about this graphic? - They better be selling those Paxers Bucks tickets for five bucks, and that's why they're the hot item. - I feel like Paxers not playing, and the Packers are hammered all the shit. - That's one of those before the season. All the Paxers fans will take it to Tampa Bay to go on vacation and go to a game. - A lot of Paxers fans though. Paxers fans fill up. - They do. - They trap everywhere, yeah. - And that's, you know, you don't get a chance to play in a lot of places. So like all the Paxers fans from that area are gonna go, it's just like when a game's in London or Brazil, and they're just wearing all the different uniforms and everything, you know? That's how Packers fans are, right? You guys fill up, and literally, AJ, don't the Packers fill up every stadium? - Yeah, I mean, a lot of people take, like Pittsburgh and Green Bay fans travel very, very well, like some of the best in the whole of the Leaf. - Cowboys, Niners, Green Bay, Pittsburgh, right? I think would be the four that have like, and that's 'cause they had dynasties way back whenever generations became fans of the NFL. So I was talking about those fan bases, you know, kind of migrating throughout the country and being in other places. Pittsburgh Steelers fans, there's allegedly a Pittsburgh Steeler bar in every single city in the country, obviously, because of steel mills and working and then traveling from Pittsburgh out throughout the rest of the world. They're not the only ones Packers fans are the same way as the way they love the Green Bay and will travel to watch their cheesehead friends, you know, do battle. It does feel like Packers fans are in an interesting spot, you know, feels like you got, and this is me just strictly reading off of you. - Yeah, sure, and maybe you're overreacting, you think a little bit, or do you think you-- - Definitely, no, no, definitely, absolutely. But guess what, like, I'm gonna continue to do so. You know how hard it is to watch a football team when they can't block anybody? - Oh, it's impossible. It's impossible to watch that game and enjoy it. Not granted, they did just sign like eight guys. So we might have a completely new offensive line and maybe that helps, but also, Baker Mayfield's not playing this weekend, Jalen Daniels, the undrafted rookie is playing this weekend. I've seen and read this book about 10,000 times. I know exactly what happens on Sunday. - And he can run. - And he can run. - Look good. - And guess what, he's gonna pass for a lot of yards. And he's gonna run for a lot of yards. It's just, it's a tale as old as time. - I hope that the Packers turn around for you. - Me too. - I hope that happens. - Wasn't it gonna go back up quarterbacks that, or like six and a half? Yeah, guys who didn't start. Oh, yeah, non-week one starters, not backup quarterback. It's an interesting. It's odd. Yeah, there's like penics is on that list, but would you say that he's the backup, you know, it's a weird thing. So if you didn't start the season as the quarterback, starting quarterback, six and an oh, but also, yeah, because then you could give Drew Locking Carson two wins. Two more. Yeah, all these guys are back up. Yeah. Same as starter or no, true, or with penics wasn't healthy. Yeah, right. Yeah, penics was had two weeks where he wasn't healthy. You can't name a starter yet. Still not healthy. As soon as he was, healthy is in there. So yes, I guess we could say all these are backups, but it's just non-week one starting quarterbacks. I have gone six and a half as starters. So I mean, the year of the backup quarterback did happen a couple years ago, where we saw a number in which we-- 66. Yeah, I had never seen before. Maybe that happens again. Uh-oh. And maybe that's because how physical football is. I could have seen Jalen out of that game last night. Yeah. I mean, there was a time for the first time since 2017, we had case kingdom and adult. Okay. They played in 2007. They said at TCU. Yeah. Texas Bowl. And Houston or whatever. You know what was overreaction? You just mentioned that a few moments ago. You guys talking about that hit on the sideline last night with Jalen. Oh. That was-- That was close. Towing away. That's my quarterback. He was going out of bounds, clearly. Right at the first day of marker. That's called it. I think that's called every single time. What's the rule, though? What's the rule? He's technically like his foot did start if you see him going out of bounds. You can't touch him. Is that the rule? I mean, he got a re-intention. He was still in his right at the sticks. It's right at the sticks. And like, we don't-- what if he lowers his head and tries to get that first down? Yeah. And I guess he could have turned up. He did turn out. And maybe he was already down in there. But I think your guy who hit him standing out of bounds while hitting him, I think, is a reason to say maybe not, you know, maybe in every inch, including the pain out there. But the way Jalen gets bumped. Oh, that's why they called him, man. Yeah. I didn't see that. Because he laid down, face down, you know. Full on bump. Yeah. I mean, he is flying through the air right now. He was going to be short of the first down. Yeah, because I hit him. But I mean, he's out of bounds, hitting him out of bounds. I think that's going to be called, I don't know, a hundred times, probably. Yeah, a quarter. A quarterbacks to the loop. Look. Look. I think that's going to get called a hundred times out of a hundred times, I think. So maybe not an overreaction, but on that note, we did wait until Tuesday for this week's overreaction tweet strictly because we could have got something from last night. That was a prime position for a backup quarterback taking on Philadelphia Eagles. You know, Eagles fans maybe get into the game a little bit and they didn't. But we got some Bears fans that certainly got in. Ampacars fans that got into it. So lays it down. It's time for a hashtag. I don't want to overreact, but sent the tweet out yesterday saying, hey, let me hear some of your fandom emotions and if you they're good and ties eyes, they'll make the end. Hey, Ty Schmitt and Pat McShill. I'm a late candidate because my team played today, but hashtag. I don't want to overreact, but the shock, a Chicago Bears put asked the belt, okay, not belt to ask that belt was out there and they're forcing the ass off of the belt against it. Yes. That's what he meant. Yeah. Think about how much like explosion you have to have in your bones to pick up somebody and throw their ass off of a belt because a belt's small. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. So people kind of understand actually make it hurt. Yeah, too. So you have to really swing that human pretty hard. Oh, especially with where their ass is because like your foot, swinging a foot a little bit more. And he's like five broad residents to do this. Well, that's what he said they did last night and it wasn't just five. It was actually 22 of them things, you know, and you put Cairo in there too. Chicago Bears kicker did that, but hashtag. I don't want to overreact, but the Chicago Bears put asked to belt against the Eagles with our QB three and the Packers lost with their QB one against the Falcons. Oh, my God. Oh, Ty Raul Del Rio, the third, there had been two others before just absolutely dropping gems on the state of the Packers and the Bears right now. Is this an overreaction or is this the truth, Ty Schmitt? You know what? It's an overreaction for now at least because guess what in about seven weeks history will tell a very different story about that Thursday night football game. When Penex is the leading candidate for MVP at, you know, the week nine mark, and this guy's already thrown 45 touchdowns and has one interception. It was the one he threw on the opening drive. We're going to really reframe how we were talking about the Atlanta Falcons early in the season. We're saying Atlanta Falcons has a damn good football team. Yeah, let's go to the next overreaction, shall we? This one's from Pittsburgh. Oh, yeah, we're all in the back hashtag. I don't want to overreact, but an opening drive touchdown, more than seven points in the first quarter, pre snap motions, big slashes in the run game, legit pass blocking, DK catching a bonny end zone, big Mike was cooking. Stullers are all the way back. Stullers are still the bungles, AJ. I know you're a torn here, grow up. Bangles fan played for the bangles, and then you got Aaron Rogers playing his best ball that he's played in some time and big Mike drawn up absolute beauties to cook this bangles defense. AJ, what did you think of the Pittsburgh Steelers? And do you think Nick is right for saying, you know what, the stillers team might be the best stillers team we've ever had? I don't think this is too big of an overreaction. I think it's legit. Look at the blocking, obviously, is much better. Aaron played very well. He spreads the ball around like this Steelers team, if they can continue to have some consistent success on offense, they're going to be very, very good. I think for people that are sick of watching the Steelers like Dink and Dunk for however many years, you have to be pretty excited. They can push the ball down the field and they'll have, we know they have guys that can make explosive plays on the outside. Yeah, and now Skaronics getting into the offense, and then on special teams, he literally put his face through a dude to recover a muffed punt. It's like the Steelers have a different attitude here now than they did for the first couple weeks. And Big Mike McCarthy, he might be in that kitchen. He might be whipping in the kitchen, I haven't seen him on the microphone yet. Everybody I've seen two people on the microphone. Yeah, I've seen that. Awesome. Big Mike's been on her? No, I have not, but I've seen the one you're talking about. I saw you in there. I saw you in there. Saving on her. Yeah. I saw you in there. I think Saving actually put that one on, I thought. Oh, right. Hey, I thought that was a big page. It was. Tell the Saving's got that dock. I could be very wrong. He was, uh, me neither into the social media videos and trends. I didn't see that. Am I the one dancing or spitting? You would take off. He was, he was. Yeah, you're on the right side. Okay. I like that. I like it. You know, on that note, I think Saving probably won't spit in there. I'm probably won't do any dancing. If I had to guess, so I'm happy that exists out there. I've seen a lot of people together doing that. I'm pretty proud of it. It kind of brought the world here. Yeah. That's pretty good. I like that that's happy. Start with two cats. George Steelers are potentially all, uh, united. Yep. Including the fans. Yeah. That we might have something here. Mm hmm. Maybe it's all Jinser. We hired as a head coach. Isn't some big dumb. Hmm. Maybe Aaron Rogers can play Goofal ball. Maybe we don't even need Joey Porter, Jr. Oh. That's still kind of looming. Is it? Is that still looming right now, Tony? Yeah. It's cooking a bit. Uh, actually Jerry, uh, Jones was asked today about Joey Porter, Jr. And, you know, he had some comments. He said, I'm not going to tamper, but, you know, we're looking into everything. I believe Shaftar reported, um, the Cowboys and the Lions potentially are snooping around. So, uh, we'll see what happens. Still hasn't played a game this year, uh, is practicing though. So, uh, it's, you know, it's day to day. Shaftar reported a handful of teams, including the Dallas Cowboys and Detroit Lions have begun making inquiries about the availability of Pittsburgh Steelers. Cornerback, Joey Porter, Jr. Leaks sources told ESPN, was there a graphic on Sunday countdown? Yes. There was. Is that real? It was real. Everything is so good at being edited now, but I saw what you were talking about. It said contracts underneath. It was. Oh, I did see that. I don't know if it was real, but it does feel like that is what has been this entire time. Yep. And, uh, if they're both going to just stay firm in their stances, uh, we just wasted time, a career, legacy, talent, everything. Is this right? Is he doing full practice? Like, is he taking reps with the ones? No, well, yesterday was limit or sorry, it's, it says like conditioning, it says full practice, but it's listed as like conditioning, uh, and something with some other letters next to it. I don't know what it is, but, you know, you don't love ball. You don't love ball. So. Already, Tony. Already. He's here. This is what happened yesterday was his first full participation in practice on the year. Okay. So maybe he's back up and Adam. It was a walk through though, because they play on Thursday. So all of them, maybe on Thursday night, he gets a big time pick against Cleveland Brown, start celebrating a little bit, he ends up like, look at this guy playing without a long term contract. We like what he's doing here, risking his entire future and his family's future for the good of us. We love this guy. Say that soon as I see cleats on grass or he gives up a third down slant, this guy only cares about money. You don't care about it. Practice. Oh man. That's never happened. So that's not going to happen on Thursday either. What's that? He ain't never giving up a third down slant. Okay. In fact, it's game. Oh, yeah, he's good. God, he's a God damn good football player. So maybe somebody should treat him that way. You're right. Well, you can't get paid to you on a field, so. All right. All right, Tony. Got to go. Let's go to another city that certainly loves their players whenever they're playing good football. Let's go up to New England at Boston Conor Tweet's hashtag. I don't want to overreact, but people are saying Drake May's name is actually Drake extra mail because of the subs he's been throwing out there. I don't know what the is going on with the Patriots. Not no reaction. I think a lot of people are saying this. Troy Ackman last night though, in a very good discussion on Monday Night Countdown said, there's a lot of things going on with this offense. It's not just Drake May. There's a couple decisions, obviously, that we're all second guessing. The ball's slipping out of his hand 'cause there's blood on the ball, looks amateur and sounds amateur. But anytime you're an MVP finalist one year, and you're in the same offensive system, and they add a weapon, even though he's not up right now, but they invest in the offense. You think everybody's gonna be better. You expect a massive leap, at least. You expect that type of thing. And it seemingly hasn't happened. Is there too much going on? What do you genuinely think is going on? And when does he snap out of it, you think? - I think it's a combination of your, number one Wouter Sheet, Ray J. Brown gets hurt, 20 plays in the season. I do think that has a big deal to do with it. The first three games, Seahawks, Steelers, Jags, you're playing three division winners once you were a bowl champion to start your season. So it's gonna be tough, no matter what. How ugly it looks on offense is shocking. I'm really not sure what it is. You would have thought there would be some sort of progression in the offense, maybe more plays, more motions, the types of things that we're used to seeing in these kind of new school offenses. I don't know if it's the McDaniel's offense, changing a lot of the times. Decisions like this was exactly why Drake made it was good. Last year was that he wasn't making these bonehead plays and he was incredibly accurate with the football. Third most accurate season throwing the football in the history of the NFL. And it's just not how it is this year. We'll see, I still got a lot of hope. There's 14 games left, but yeah, it doesn't look good right now in offense. - Yeah, and Rainbow, we all think is a great coach, right? - Yes. - So he should be able to reach him. If somebody's going through something, you would hope that the leader, the Alpha Commander, the-- - The Supreme Commander. - The Supreme Commander. - He was trying to, he was, yeah, he had the. - Yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, man. - At that point, it was too late. - Listen, I, a lot of terrible thoughts in your head right now, I assume. This has been a nightmare, certainly. You're gonna be okay, kid. A lot of days still got to live out here. - He was saying Drake lost respect for him, and he doesn't want to play for him anymore. - Yep, a bunch of tweets like that. But there's so much left, and to be completely honest with you, it's not even worst-case scenario. It just hasn't looked good so far. I have a lot of faith left in New England for the rest of the season. - Me too. I think Drake may have figured it out. Too much of a hooper, not too. You know, like in my eyes, too athletic, too competitive, too good at the position to not figure it out, and maybe get going, but it has not been what we thought it was gonna be. There's been some takes on the offensive line. Maybe how do they feel, how do they trust, how do they call plays with that? - Probably the best part of the team so far on offense has been World Campbell. - Oh, nice, welcome back. World Campbell happy to hear that. So there is things to build on. Maybe they find it. Remember, if your team's ass right now, it doesn't mean they're gonna be asked forever. But if they're good, you might become shite. That's football in a nutshell. MLB tonight, same with the NHL. We'll see you tomorrow. - Oh, talking on VA. - We got it, we got it early. - Fever, yeah, yeah. - Fever racist, yeah. - What kind of spever tip off? - 730. - Okay. - Eastern. - Okay. - Is that what time of the game is Diba? You're heading down to it. - Yeah, you're the one getting your five Diba. - I think six, 30. - Six, 30? - 30, central? - You should throw the opening tip off. - Oh, that's not a bad idea. - They did that. - It's not, it's a real game, guys. It's not a game. The ref, the official does it. - No. - Hey, what's up, it's Sarah Monio. - What's up, it's Sarah Monio. What's up, it's Sarah Monio, open it. - Do you know how they do that? - No. - It's a fever game. - It is a 630. - Hey, the car. - It's so exciting. - 630. - How are we gonna beat traffic? - You're telling me, my freaking garage gets used by all the people going to the game. It sucks. - I understand, 'cause you're downtown boy. This goes in, you know what's happening tonight. - Oh, interesting. - Ooh, interesting. Two different things. There are no injuries to the fever, shall we? - And to that, we celebrate. - Kelsey? - Man. - That doesn't work, 'cause it was a football for basketball. You can't do football, you can't cross it. - Go. - Call it, Tony. - You're right, Tony. - Oh, no. - And on that note, let's do it again. - Shoot the sparkly one. - Whoa, can't do that. - Shit. - I think it's a new camera angle. - Uh-oh. - I think it's gonna be a close game. - Extra braces tonight. - What do you mean, new camera angle? It looks like when you cut to it, that's a different camera angle than usual. It looks a little higher. - Uh, it might be zoomed in a little differently potentially. I don't know if Bruce and Moody Cameras are not. I think that is-- - Look good, I can see him. - I can see him through. - Yeah, I got no idea if that's not the same. As it's always been, or hard. - Which is kind of a fun part of the game. If this one goes in, no more injuries in football season. - Okay. - All right. - What about for hockey? - Ooh. - That's an apple. Some guys got a fractured skull already. - Yeah, I saw that. - Yeah. - But they're gonna play through it, right? - Yeah, these are gold medals. Brock Faber's savage. - Whoosh. - Actually has a crack skull? - I don't think he's playing through it. Actually has a fractured skull on the injury report. - All right, hope he gets healthy. Did they just tape that? Like, what do you-- - Yeah, put a helmet on. - A bunch of duct tape around his head. - And it first kind of goes back to the other event. - And the thing is, that is just like, consider probably normal amongst the hockey people. Ah, practice skull. You know what it is. - Okay, fucking duct tape. - Yeah. - Fabible campaign. - It is probably described as an upper body. Of course, I can't believe we've found out that that even happened in the hockey world. - He did stay in the game. He didn't miss the next shift. - What do you mean, game? - Oh my god. - He did have surgery on his skull. - Oh, happened to preseason? - Yeah. - As you know, he cracked his skull open. What do you mean? Yeah, just broke his skull. - Not yet a headache. - It's tough. The tough thing is, with the cranium, we don't know how fast that bone's just gonna grow back. It's always kind of a fickle thing. You know, like a hamstring, cranium, we just, we tape it. Tell him to sleep in a chair. - Not lay down. - And put a couple bolts in like Frankenstein. I'm pretty sure. What am I back at? - I mean, potentially, that is, and I'll be all for hockey players. They would do that and expect them to play. - Draw holes in his helmet so the bolts are sticking out. - And then force him to go through like a, like a metal detector, too. - Yeah. - You know, just to make everything as hard as possible. Eat some pucks. There's dolphins on the screen right now. It looks very beautiful. I think it's a moment of Zen. Been having a lot of fun. - Oh, I love a moment of Zen. - I had a job, too. - Yeah, I had fancy moments. - Absolutely. - I didn't know how I felt about it at the very beginning 'cause sometimes that moment of Zen is like a half a second. - Yeah, sure. - It's like, we're right back in there. Something sports normally pretty loud. But I'll tell you, when a moment of Zen pops up now, I can't help but find myself going. Yeah, it's like a dolphin swimming me around the ocean, right now. I get pretty jacked up about it. - Oh, yeah. - Need it. - Need it? - Looks like it did. (dramatic music) (whooshing) - Don't do that anymore, do they? - It's right in a big day. - What? - I don't do what? - I thought they don't let you ride dolphins anymore. Aren't they claiming that's the whole thing right with the killer whales? - What? - They would be PETA. - Oh, okay, well, I'm sure PETA didn't love it. - Who shuts down these like operations. Maybe they're just shutting down like the mom and pop operations. Where are you going? Someone's bathtub and swim around with it. - So, how many mom and pop dolphin meet in great situations you think are out there just so I can kind of get on the same page as you? - I've never seen one online or in person, but I'm sure you would guess with me they're probably out there. - Yeah, I mean, we learned a lot when a Tiger King hit our lives about people that have these jungle safaris that are interestingly licensed and they have people come pay and do things that you can never imagine in the United States of America. Bordering on, is that legal or good or ethical and what happens when they all get out, you know, that whole thing? I didn't even think about a potential, you know, many little dolphin meet and greet in a backyard above ground pool that people could be having just in random towns around the United States. - That's Ohio. - Yeah, I mean, in Ohio, I couldn't even imagine what those dolphins are doing too when a man, you know. - Oh, you know, I watch 'em. - Especially going into a above ground pool, dolphin meet and greet. - Yeah, they're not happy. - Very close. - Very close to the cheeks in there. - Were you trying to kiss 'em? - No. You know, they get behind you and they push people. - Some of those clenching your butt cheeks. - Butt cheeks. - Yeah, yeah, yeah. You know, they push people. Sometimes, you know, you don't want to get caught. I'll imagine those rogue dolphins in those backyard situations. We know their sexual beings. They're gonna try and take advantage of people. - They are sexual beings. And I think that's what we're referring to. But I don't know how, so how often do you think about people having dolphins in their backyard for meet and greets, AJ and me? - Yeah. It just popped in my head. Honestly, 30 seconds ago right now. But yeah, that's the whole situation. - I think I was documenting on the killer whales. - Of course, yeah. Blackfish, I believe, was the name of the one that really turned everybody against the entire, like, "Wait, that's kind of a mess up." And then obviously, talk of Tay. - Yeah. - Lolita. - Lollita. - Rest in peace. - Lolita down there. Those whales are very big. - Yeah. - They're smart. - Very smart. - Beautiful creatures. - They're pretty, oh, is that right? Type of creatures. - Oh, yeah. - Remember when they were doing that that a boats? - Oh, yeah. - Yeah. - It's fun. Welcome to our water. Whoa, I'm getting kinda fucking seasick. - Yeah. - Whoa, holy shit. And then another one pops up. Let's up, bitch. Boom. - Get it in. - The boats in the wave pool. Bang, bang, bang. And then another one comes up. Boom. Little kid whale pops up, jumps up out of their bang. - Cap says it's boat. Ha, ha, ha, ha. As they're floating down. - Yeah. - Swim away, find another boat. - Yeah. - Yeah. - Just for fun. - Yeah, didn't even kill humans. Just for fuck's sake. Don't come around here. - What's this thing up here? - They don't care if you drown. I won't eat you though. But yeah. - Not each. - Yeah, but I don't think like dolphins, I see in the movies, they come down underneath and they'll actually go underneath here. - Yeah. - Yeah. - Yeah. You've got to be able to surf, I think, because you stand on the right which is legal now Surfing on dolphins. Yeah See, well, why can't we just live? I just saw a note from Zito 2020 all sea worlds and stuff outlawed Surfing on dolphins. That's during flow ride of concerts only at sea world. Sea world is bringing it. Yeah, they do bring it Yeah, you can definitely do it in like Mexico for sure. Yeah You do anything in Mexico to be able to do it. Yeah, but they don't have a ying-ing twins No, they don't know how that become the best venue in time. Yeah, that's a cool venue Is that been open for a long time? We're just finding out. I don't know. I think just last couple years it really started Deciding this is what we're going to do now that we can't have any whales in here. It's actually where the Beatles played their last concert Soldier boy really I didn't know that ever for John got to kill you So it has been going a pretty long time then. Yeah Wow, did they just perform over the whales that were in the water? Yeah Wow, soldier boy. They actually did it in a yellow submarine in the good call here's some dolphins flopping around in a pool Mitch just found on the internet. I'd who posted this mitt where is this Mitch just says here's dolphins flopping around in a pool Great for earlier It's like see why that's right. That's nice pool. Yeah, these are certainly some some Sprite dolphins kind of going for it. Can we? Oh, this is in SeaWorld. Okay. This is SeaWorld shot still bringing it. SeaWorld. Yeah, I could be wrong here still bringing it Thank you for that mitt. We do need to see what dolphins look like in there. They're still doing it. Bring it Art if this goes in This goes in no more injuries. Okay, which sport dolphins humans sport everything across the board There's no chance I was going to never let's move along injuries are a yeah, sorry, sorry, I couldn't help, sorry, I couldn't help Let's talk about some of the headlines happening around the NFL Odell Beckham Jr. has been released from the New York Giants already Today that happened Odell Beckham Jr. and the New York Giants reunion began at league meetings out in Arizona where John Harball and Odell had a sit down. There were some rumors. There were some rumblings. There was a workout Then there was a buy-in to be in third fourth wide receiver. Whatever you need I'm just excited to be here and now the Giants have released Odell Beckham Jr. via Mike Garfalo and rap sheet No senior on the board here at New York, which is obviously a bit surprising in the shifter world But Odell Beckham Jr. getting released AJ your thoughts. I know we'd seen him on the field a lot We'd seen him running a lot. He did look open in certain clips that we would see He looked like he was buying in blocking down field whatever role you have for me. I'm excited to be a part of What do you think this says and what do you think is next for Odell Beckham Jr. AJ? I mean, I think there's a chance another team could pick him up He might be all right with the fact that he's got he hasn't got on the field really as a receiver like he hoped to I wouldn't be shocked if another team picked him up But that's the thing if you are the third or fourth receiver like a team expects you to play special teams That's the thing. It still makes it really hard as a bet to step on there If you're not getting a bunch of playing time especially if you're not starting They're going to need you to be on a couple of the special teams and obviously like a You know better in receiver like him is probably not going to be running down on kickoff and be on kickoff return So I understand probably why they do it But I still think Odell could play somewhere else. Shotsy on the break as well on the internet Little latte out there. Yeah, congrats to him get the news break still bringing it across the board And then Ari Mirov quote tweets that in aggregates and says OBJ by the way had zero catches for zero yards on one target in three games kind of polls on All right, those are the facts. But can you talk a little bit about OBJ debug and to AJ's point some positions linebacker running back tight end Why receiver I do believe if you're down the depth chart. Oh, yeah, you are a massive piece of special teams need speed Need speed need to be able to cover you're learning a whole new thing that might have been the reason Maybe there's some numbers elsewhere that they need to figure out debug your thoughts. I mean maybe dressing a couple more quarterbacks With their quarterback situation who knows but yeah, but he hasn't been productive who knows what's going on You know in practice or in the medium rooms, but I'm sure he's mentally prepared for the game But I just thought I'd be kind of got robbed of a big chunk of Odell's career because of injuries Which unfortunately just happened in this game, but you know he was special had a special career at one point I think he was probably the most popular American football player in the world for a few years for a stretch there Hopefully does bounce back you know his feet. He's clearly wants to still play football. I love that he bought him You know being one of the most popular players in New York. So I'm hopefully does get to continue his career If not, you know good on you old BJ had a great career. Yeah, the Odell Beckham junior athlete conversation Hopefully remains forever here. It's not could have played soccer professionally could have probably did basketball track I think anything he would have been able to do obviously we've seen him throw a football like 75 yards Insane catches still has the speed the buy-in at this stage to be the giants Third or fourth, you know wide receiver. I thought was really cool Very eager to see what he does next is he continued to try to do this because I think he might run into the same problem If it is a special teams problem at every single place, but maybe we get OBJ returning some kicks. Yeah, maybe maybe we get OBJ This late news career returning some kicks. You never know. I saw him catch a Kickoff one handed whenever we were there for Monday night football. Oh, so that's end-over-end Okay, coming at head so difficult to do catches it one handed and then jogs away, you know, and then his warm-up is just outrageous You know, just I mean one handed catches even it it goes generate like generations down like even my little little kids Like five little kids they make a one handed catch. They still call it an OBJ like I would assume that's gonna be that's gonna live on for a long time I don't know if we've got to the bottom of it speaking of the giants JJ McCarthy traded for a fifth-rounder the thought is You know, and I think swagoo made a good point last night. He said this is like boomer. Who cares? You know people are saying it's boomer bus move. It's like it's a fifth-rounder Maybe he'll be good in the hardball system with the giants and give them something that they need at the moment Which is a good backup quarterback behind James Winston and if it doesn't work out It was just a fifth-rounder. We can find a fifth-rounder if we need it really really bad in the future Where do you sit on this 24 hours later tie of JJ McCarthy going to the giant? I suppose I could see that but I still I don't think that you're trading for him if it's just like it Like I think the intention is that hey, we've seen enough out of james We don't want to wave the white flag and punt on the season so we got to try to do something I mean just like his build and the way he moves and all that kind of stuff He's kind of similar to Jackson Dart now. He hasn't had as much success as Jackson Dart has early But it's it's pretty evident like you I don't think you can run james out there every single week I don't think he's gonna win very many football games with them So maybe JJ does just need a change of scenery Maybe he was I mean he's you assume that he was a top 10 pick for a reason and who knows Maybe he gets there and picks up the offense and all the sudden he kind of salvages their season, but I can't imagine that you trade him just to be james's backup. Yeah It's like it yes It comes in as the backup because they didn't really have a backup behind james like if james went down there in a very very tough spot, but no like you trade for him with the idea of him coming in I assume in a couple weeks and then still having a chance to potentially win the NFC east Because that's definitely up in the air when you look at that division and because no one's been super impressive Everyone has their weaknesses and then see what you could do in the playoffs because I he's probably not he's not your quarterback going forward Jackson tarcher your quarterback going forward Hopefully hopefully he's healthy and stuff like that and maybe his injuries worse than it is But no, I think this is definitely like a hey This this is our guy that we think who can potentially win best with this season. Well, Jay jamer car these career stats with a great graphic here Where in the number 18 in the graphic? Oh wow he was nine Obviously a Minnesota and a Michigan. I was a big part of the conversation wherever you get meme to death about getting Nine out of your mind. That's not a great thing six and four Winner, okay, pretty good 15 total touchdowns. Okay, hmm. That's more than the receptions Over 57% completion 72.6% pass or rating. So Jay jamer carthy we all watched it didn't get to play a lot Okay, because of injuries and when he played there wasn't a lot of great and then there was a spark of greatness out of nowhere Kin harbaugh and the giants pulled out of them great graphic there the number 18 and that's not because he has the power to be two nines Oh, okay, which maybe yeah, you never know his second act and as debone pointed out it's not because eight plus one Is nine. Okay. It's potentially because there's a lack of available numbers with the New York football giants That's a real thing, you know, because you got retired numbers I guess you got a lot of taking numbers. I guess the number 18 is a number that is not retired There is slate and I believe wore it in the preseason and it's somewhere near a relation to nine So debone took a guess on the number 18 here. Let's go to New York Giants fan Bruce Brown Do we think 18 is the number that he'll be wearing and how do you feel about debone piecing together a graphic showcase? In your new quarterback Yeah, I do appreciate this graphic. It's a it's a great one I think 18's a fair guess, you know two nine stacked on top of each other 18, you know eight plus one equals nine But I do agree that it is sort of like a Ahu cares or great if he shows some promise I don't know if the books out on james that the second game was in the nor Easter obviously you struggled against the Rams But you know, I think we kind of give him a pass on the nor Easter game. He didn't turn the ball over And now we see if we you know taking on the Cardinals He can throw the ball or if he you know just kind of lost it Okay, so james still the guy and it felt like the more information we got it was like not necessarily expecting him like They're just trying to see if he's maybe a guy that they want to keep on building and uh I guess we let it unfold on the field as we always do. Dishon Watson admitted that he got a little teary eyed when the fans cheered from the first time in a long, long time. Cleveland Browns hosting Pittsburgh Steelers here for Thursday night football. How do you feel about the brownies and how do the brownies fans feel about the brownies? Because them channing and cheering for Dishon, he said, got him a little bit emotional that maybe this is home and it hasn't gone great at all, but maybe it does now because we got the right guy in Monkin and maybe we have the right offense in place. How do the browns fans feel about the brownies? I mean, this is a huge game for a, I'm around a lot of browns fans and they are like, you know, weak to weak. They can be a rollercoaster of emotions, no questions, kind of like tone digs with the Pittsburgh Steelers. There's some Cleveland Browns fans that have similar reactions, but they are pumped because they start taking man. What if we can go win a prime time game against the Pittsburgh Steelers, a big rival like that. We're truly on our way. So I think this is kind of like a, they're kind of a measuring stick of how good they are. I feel like they can get a win here than anything is possible. Browns are seven and no since what year 2018. They've also won their last nine on Thursday night football home Thursday night games. The Browns are 10 and 2 all time at home on Thursday night. Wow. Dogpon shows up on a Thursday Thursday for the dog. Yeah, okay. What have you seen from the defense of the Cleveland Browns? Obviously a lot of conversation about Dishon and quarterback and how you're able to move defensively. Are they still who the Cleveland Browns have always been? They've been good. They've been good. It starts. We always start in the trenches in Mason Graham, who was number five overall pick here defense alignment out of national champion Michigan Wolverines at the time. He's been very disruptive in the middle of that defense. You paid the Zell War. You got Delphets still out there. They got good talent on defense. Now when you miss Miles Garrett and his productions, a lot of people, I'm sitting on it in their cell. Maybe Miles was a problem in Cleveland on a defensive side. Get a win. In Dishon, the other young players, Fanny, Junior, Juckins, Boston, he looks like he's going to be a stud. Like all these players around Dishon. If he just doesn't go out there and trick it off, this Browns team has a chance and I'm seeing a lot of people also giving some rub to Todd Monkan as a potential coach of the year candidate. Yeah. I liked where everybody's pronouncing his name. Yeah. Am I pronouncing it wrong? Do we pronounce the moon and the Ken? Because he's the debaust not the only one. There's been a lot of Monkan's. Yeah. Yeah. I believe it's just Monkan. But Monkan was really big on the Todd Monkan. So that's how I heard it. I heard a lot of people saying that. No, everyone is. Okay. That's what he said. Okay. Yesterday. Yeah, exactly. And it's Todd Monkan unless he starts losing, then it'll be Monkan. Yeah. I actually spell it M-O-N-K-E-N. Okay. So, maybe Todd Monkan. Yeah. Now Monkan. Ken, maybe. I think he's the right guy for the job. Definitely. Absolutely. Yeah. He wants to be there. Dog pound. We need to show a bargain on Thursday night. It's Pittsburgh Steelers number one division where you are. What else do we guys need here? What else do we need? I appreciate where the dog pound is right now. Long season. Hopefully they continue to win. Hopefully the Browns ain't the Browns. Like Todd said. But Thursday night with the Steelers coming to town, man, Cleveland gets a huge win over the Pittsburgh Steelers, especially without the Steelers look this past weekend. Everyone's going to be upside down about the possibilities of not only this year, but maybe foreseeable future with Monkan as their head coach. Browns are also 4-0 against the Steelers on Thursday night football and I'm assuming they were not favorites in any of those games. It's kind of been a house of horror situation recently since Ben, who basically owned Cleveland retired. It's they're getting theirs back since Ben retired. Yeah. It's definitely not a, not a gimme on Thursday night. Cleveland Browns, Tweet Out 2. We're excited to bring back our Rock and Roll Hall of Fame game in the third year in a row with a very special Rock and Roll Hall of Fame induct the half-time performance in-game features and more. It's the prime time main event you won't want to miss. Who's going to, who's the performance? What happened? Brett Michaels. He's going. He's already in. He went in years ago. Wu Tang, isn't Wu Tang going in? Oh, yeah, Wu Tang. They're definitely going into a hole for him. Am I sure if he's catching the cards up there? Before the game. I, I remember the maze with his little glasses. Yep. Does he want to bust that up? Maybe it's him. GK. Is he going into the whole thing? Definitely. I assume. Rock and Roll Hall of Fame. We should probably be able to look that up. I assume that's peace information. It is findable. And who's going into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame? AJ probably knows. Right? AJ, who? I don't know. I'm curious as to who it could be. And what if they're not big Browns fans? Are they going to be playing there? Yeah. What if they just pull anyone who's already in the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame? Who's a Browns fan? No. It says inductee, right? So I think they said inductee with a very special Rock and Roll Hall of Fame inductee halftime performance. Maybe it's all the inductees. That'd be awesome. See, who are these? I don't know if this is. How many go in each year? I got Phil Collins, Billy Eidl, Luther Vandro. Definitely all right. Phil Collins and maybe Monkanne on the X. Oh. I can feel it. Yeah. Yeah, I went down to rap, Phil Collins, his live performances, just got some of him just walking around. Phil Collins, don't think he gets to drill. You guys locker rooms play that all the time and even college and in the league, we always play that. College played it a lot. Wasn't our locker room playing? It was like the coaches and like administration and everybody kind of playing it like, hey, it's a big one tonight. Highlight. Play. MC Light is performing halftime. Yes. No. We'll serve as the guest DJ and performed during the first and second quarter. Who the hell is that? That's not first and second quarter. No, MC. No. MC Light, man. No, we're talking about halftime and then it has a whole thing like a Metallica band member. I believe it's going out for the coin toss. Yeah. Now we're talking. I don't know, sorry, Steve Jones or the sex pistols will join for the coin toss. It's you. Metallica. Metallica is doing halftime. Kent Wells, longtime producer for Dolly Parton will perform the national anthem. So it's it's a whole, can we get the halftime? We're looking. Yeah, we're looking at them. It's a surprise halftime. Allegedly, it's a secret. It's a surprise. I don't want Dolly Parton's manager singing. What do you mean? Talk about them. They will announce it on game day. Who's performing halftime? What a tease for monkey in the boy. That'll be Saturday. We'll be live in Iowa. City. It'd be good to get his head up though. Yeah, before the game, you're right, that's crazy. We appreciate the honor. It's MC light. Metallica's involved in some fashion. Steve Jones, the sex pistols is involved in some fashion, the manager, the producer for Dolly's doing the national anthem. And then we'll find out about halftime. Well, yeah, but you think Lars Ulrich's going to be there? Yeah. Maybe he might be. This has got huge let down written all over it. No, that would be old brass. It would be. You know what you're right. You're right. Mon Ken would not let this happen. Maybe hologram Freddie Mercury, I'm reading potentially. Oh, yeah. Yeah. Yeah. You didn't read that. No, I didn't. Yeah. That would be sweet. Could be a racist. I might bring the Galagolads. Oh. Oh, wait. This is not performing at the halftime of a proud scam. They're not doing anything right now. Mon Ken will be the one that saves me. Can we two cool comes out? You know, I've found. You're right. And after they might suck, huh? Third eye blind, my boy. Half time. They would kill it. Yeah. I think there's a good chance. Every name we've just said, I just don't see him agreeing to this. Nope. Nope. No, it's kind of. I'll be Iron Maiden. Iron Maiden's the one. Okay. Let me hear Iron Maiden's song. The rhythm of it, so I could catch on to it. Nobody's got it. Nobody. Question marks everywhere. Empty light. Cold Rock a party. They might have to just run with that. I mean, maybe Empty Light does. Is this really moving? Terry in the halftime. I was doing a lot of reading. Did we find, I know who the inductees are. Oh, yes, please. Can you please do it? Give us the end. So it's Phil Collins. Billy Idol. Iron Maiden. Oasis. Luther Vandro Wu Tang. Luther Vandro. Cross. I call him Luther Vandro. It's fucking Oasis, dude. It's gonna go nuts. It's gonna go hard as fuck. I know you're nervous. Say it who I'm not familiar with. And Joday. Joday. Joday, see? Not familiar with it. And Joy Division. Okay. So. And. Not that I missed one. Kid Coody. Queen Latifa. Queen. Oh, but that's influence award. That's not for a performer. Yeah. But Queen Latifa is a part of the voice right now. Yeah. That season of the voice is bringing it. Yeah. Of course it is. Riley Greens out there too, right? Yes. And Kelly Clarkson. Kelly. It goes. Kelly. Riley, Queen and Adam in order in their chairs. Oh, and they're gonna find it. Oh, they found it. They're gonna find it. Mm-hmm. Good for them. Having a good time. So maybe Queen Latifa. Could be Queen. Iron Maiden. Phil Collins hasn't been in yet. Is this it? Phil Collins is just getting into rock and roll. He performs. Dude, dude, dude, dude, dude, dude. I wonder if Phil Collins is. Dude, people turn that down. Phil Collins. Phil Collins. Phil Collins. Phil Collins. No, Collins has a lot in any so I think they complain about it and then once they get inducted They're pumped but they say it before they get inducted. They say it's garbage. He was technically in as a member of Genesis his original band But as a solo act he is now going so Don't maybe that could happen that could happen that song's Genesis. No that one was a still that's him Yeah, well, if I'm he's drumming in that one alone should it guys? The stealers came out to that to win their soup bowl. So that might backfire on the browns if they pull that one out He might do take me what is it the one they play when when I may football now take me home tonight That's any money, dude - That's a great one. - Oh, that one. - Oh, that one. - That one. - Take, take me home. - I think it's still called. - 'Cause I don't remember. - Yeah, that's not really a half-grick song. - Banger, those are studio, maybe. - Phil Collins has not been put into the hall of fame yet as himself with, feel it coming here tonight, and we think he's just offering up his services for a half-time show. - I can't wait to find out. - Does he love ball? - He lives in London. He's not fucking coming to Cleveland to do the half-time show. That a chance. - When's the ceremony for you? - He lives within four miles of the stadium that's going into the hall of fame. That might be who we're getting. - MGK. - He's not going in the hall of fame. - He might put him in doing it. - They're just one feeling. MGK ain't going in the hall of fame. - I don't think Phil has played live since like 2022. He's got a lot of help. - That would be huge if he didn't have her bronze steelers, AFC North Clash on Thursday night football. - Pull up a bronze fan. - Maybe, we don't know, maybe. - Oh, Phil? - We don't know? - Yeah, he loved the rock and roll hall of fame so much and he's fell in love with the team. So what did DJ EV, I think, is who I saw at that wedding? - Yeah. - He'd gone in? - They should think about having him just kinda. - Did they have DJs in the rock and roll hall of fame? I would imagine someone's got in. - A VG's got to be. - DJ Diesel. - Shack should go in at some point. - He just performed so, right? - Was he in Brazil? - New Orleans. - New Orleans. - I must've even ate that in Brazil. - Yeah. - And he did a whole Brazilian trip. J.J. Watts stood in piss. - Yeah, I kinda got to the bottom of the whole international thing when I saw Raj on the beach this weekend. He's just getting vacations paid for. That's why he's so big on the international schedule. - Okay, so acting like one particular person is reaping the benefit of a country investing in a league is certainly not a bad thought, especially with what we've seen in the past with other sports organizations, potentially getting incredible treatment. Nonetheless, that game in Brazil, especially with, I think, the zone has had football rights, NFL rights in Brazil for a long time. Italy, Germany, Spain, Brazil, Canada. - Everywhere but here. - Yeah, Ireland. - No, but these were the big countries. They're like, hey, they like football a lot. And Brazil was one of those countries. And I was very surprised by it. I was taking, this is five, six years ago, whenever we learned it, maybe seven years ago. - Yeah. - At this stage, seven, eight years ago. But Brazil was one of the countries that were like, they love football, they love ball down there. And at least it's growing. The game that they had down there, I think we can count that country as becoming an American football massive fan. And I like that we're taking the game international. But boy, that game back here, in one of those stadiums, imagine that in Baltimore, what that would have looked like immediately afterwards, or that in Dallas, as that thing all kind of collapses around the scenes, not that it wasn't in Rio, but the scenes in home stadiums would have been absolutely absurd as well. Seven second, with a scramble, with a throw, with it causes the wide receivers, they flowers to jump, getting that done. And then saying, we knew it was a six second route. That's just fucking, the attention to detail is insane in the NFL. That's why when people always, you know, that played like high school football and very good high school football, I'm not judging you. I love that you played football in high school and everything like that. But whenever these people who say, I use play football, I never wanna do that. It's like these assholes that are coaching in the NFL spend every single second of their life trying to turn over some stone that could help them have a little bit of an advantage. Knowing that that route took exactly six seconds, that information just fall from the sky. You have to work that, rep that, research that, you have to do everything in that moment, and then you have to execute and call that in the moment. Not saying the people that don't play, I don't understand a lot of the shit that's happening in the NFL. And I was very lucky to be in the rooms where NFL people were. So it's just like the attention to detail, the amount of buy-in, the amount of execution at the highest level that has to happen just for this one play. And then, oh yeah, you gotta knock home a 56-sharp field goal. The snap to the kick has to be less than 1.3 seconds. The snapper has to snap, but exactly lace is perfect. The holder has to get it down. And you need to strike that thing high enough that it doesn't get blocked and has to stay true enough in another country with the turf that everybody was wondering if it's good or not as you attack that ball. It's just like, there's so much shit that has to happen just for that seven seconds to take place. And it feels like the Ravens have that figured out and executable here early, which makes me say, situationally, feels like the Ravens have it figured out. And they certainly have enough talent. Is this the year for the Ravens, with Jesse Menter and his first year as a head coach? - I mean, it just might be. You talk about it. First year as a head coach, Declan Doyle, first year of play call there. You obviously have a veteran quarterback with Lamar Jackson, so that helps. But you talk about it earlier like, you walk through these situations. But that situation doesn't actually happen maybe, I mean, probably twice a season. Once or twice a season. I don't know if this has ever happened. This particular situation, ever happened even like Lamar Jackson's career. You walk through and then once this happens on Sunday, all the teams the next week, they're gonna play this in the meeting. They're gonna play this in a different, hey, this is a situation. This is how you execute it. This is how we would have executed it. Even with the kickoff, maybe the special teams unit is talking about that. So it just comes down to this. And who knows, this may be the difference. And then wanting to do a vision or not or having home feeling to play off. So all these games, all these situations matter. And it gets kind of a nothingness throughout the year, throughout the season. And then boom, it happens in one of the biggest games or biggest moments in the season for a player, a coach, whoever, but everybody's got to be on the same page in that situation. So that's unbelievable. Kickoff time out at 14 seconds. I mean, just so much one end of football there in the final seconds. I assume the people in Rio thought to themselves, this is cinema. This is magic. And for a soccer stadium to have a field goal kick end it, love everything about it. Brady Kuchak talking about tonight's opening at 5 o'clock as the Panthers and the Hurricanes kick off or tip off or drop the puck on the NHL season. MLB wild cards tonight. We got football stories in abundance. And life is magical. Dee, but anything we missed that we should have hit today? I think we hit it all. We hit all the sports. I thought we had another mystery person and maybe I had not known about. - Good. - Do we know who the celebrity guest picker is yet? - Well, I see Pat Anger, I will hawk a legend. - I'm a teammate. - He's voted for Ty Schmitt to be celebrity guest picker. - I'm gonna try. - Yes, I'll put my name in that. - People would be so, so, so mad on that note. - Oh yeah. - Oh yeah. - I think so. - Mostly because it would be 100% because me, the people would be mad. But on that note, what you've done for Iowa, I think over the last 10 years is certainly notable and I'm happy that Pat Anger was giving you the credit for that. I'm happy you got to hear that from Iowa. I don't know how often you do. I assume your family tells you and friends tell you. But Pat Anger being like, hey, Ty puts on for Iowa literally every day no matter what the hell happens to us. He lives with it publicly. So I appreciate you doing that. I can't wait to get back on campus with you on Friday. - Yeah, that was very cool. That was, that was very cool. And I make, you know, no bones about it 'cause I am very proud to be an Iowa and of the University of Iowa and alum. You know, I had some of the best times of my life there and I don't get to go back very often because we are very busy. I can't remember honestly the last time, the last time I was on campus was when we went there for the, you know, the women's tournament but like being back there like around a game day when the Hawks are 4-0. And if they could somehow miraculously win on Saturday and then you can realistically start thinking about, okay, this team could go to the playoffs. Like, yeah, it's, it's fucking incredible. I'm so excited. - I, oh, W, A, I, we don't really, oh yeah. - That will just keep going. - Yeah, it, like after they score in the stadium, they'll fucking go around four or five times. - Hold up the cards. - Yeah, he got to be down on the field. - Ah! - No, if they just, - And any other side goes, - Oh! - No, the kid flagged a cheerleader at the big flags and they'll just, oh, oh, oh, oh, oh, oh, oh flag. - No, it's just like a Hawkeye flag. - Oh, so we got no letters on flag. - No, it was fucking no. - People just know. - Yeah, they just memorized how to spell it. - Really? - We just know. - Yeah. - You're telling me there's no, hey! - No, you, you know exactly what you're supposed to do if the fucking Hawks punch one in. - Okay, I'll be impressed to see that there's no. - No, people, no people do it for you. Fucking I-O-W-A, they'll do it for you. - Well, that's, it looks a lot like, oh, a child. - Yeah, I think that's kind of just a universal thing when you have to use your arms, spell out your state. - And I know. - Yeah, exactly.
