Hello beautiful people and welcome to the most glorious day of them all over reaction Monday, September 14, 2026. This sports program begins now football is the greatest sport of all time in week one NFL Sunday provided something that maybe the NFL hasn't seen since 1970. There is a chance that we are just 43 points away for tonight's game for having the all-time highest scoring NFL opening weekend in history. Offences are dancing all over fields. Highlights are in abundance and there's a chance that your team could be the most explosive team in the history of the NFL. There's also a chance that your team got dumped on yesterday. There's a couple teams that people think are already dead. There's a couple teams that were already crowning as the greatest and that's over reaction Monday in a nutshell. College football delivered the NFL delivered tonight on Monday night football Patrick Mahomes fresh off an ACL where he was not supposed to return this fast. Does some superhuman stuff and will lead the Kansas City Chiefs all know the field to take on the Denver Broncos who obviously had a run last year with Sean Peyton in his second year with Bo Nix. Remember Sean Peyton when he drafted Bo Nix he came on our program the draft spectacular and he said it was love it first meet with Bo Nix. Whatever they were doing their draft scouting and draft process they want to took a visit with him. As soon as Bo Nix got in the car Sean Peyton fell in love. All they did was chitchat for about 24 hours and immediately after that Sean Peyton knew this was going to be the next guy that he wanted to lead his franchise. He had been given the keys to the Denver Broncos. This guy is going to be the guy. A lot of football at Auburn people remember I'm not playing great. A lot of football at Oregon he was unbelievable and with the Denver Broncos all he's done is continue to get better and better. Is this going to be the first time though that the Denver Broncos beat Patrick Mahomes in this stadium tonight or will the Kansas City Chiefs potentially on a little bit of a redemption in a revenge tour after being asked last year. Maybe they lead off another Super Bowl year and continue to build on this dynasty that is remarkable. Now I am very lucky to be in the full-ish launch. A lot of wood. Got a lot of wood around me. I believe it is Mahogany if I had to guess. And then behind me obviously it's the home of the shoes. So lucky to be here so thankful to be here. AJ thank you for traveling into the Thunderdome. Obviously nine year NFL vet Derrius J Butler back in the Thunderdome as well. The boys from the Toxic Table at Boston Conor and at Ty Schmidt uh oh Ty. Yikes. Yeah. Oh there's some teams that are thinking maybe they're going to win the Super Bowl and then Ty there's some teams that think their team might be absolute asked for three quarters. Your team was fantastic and then for a fourth quarter it was a complete meltdown from a veteran team. That's better in quarterback. That coach been there a long time. They got there roster. They completely collapse. I don't want you to give your full Green Bay Packers take right now. Just one word answer. Are you guys dead or you guys uh okay life support with the hyphen. So that's technically too but I'm just that that was bad. Not the way you want to start the season at all. One one bad quarter and have you feeling it's over. Let's go to one half of the hammer down Cowboys AP tone. Town Cowboy hat looks good. It looks like potentially all those zipper parenthood Pittsburgh Steelers able to get a big time win over Cooper Kush in the Atlanta Falcons. Now tell me a little bit about TJ Watt maybe the and the guy for the team this year. Maybe the veteran defense is great Aaron Rogers gets a big time dub with Mike McCarthy. Just first reaction is we're not going to talk a lot about this game even though we should potentially should. How does Steelers fans feel after the first game in a Mike McCarthy era? Yeah it was a new era with coach McCarthy but it kind of felt like the same product on the field to be honest with you. The offense had their struggles. They were a bit sloppy even though Aaron and Big Mike have had so much time together. Aaron played well. There was some drops and stuff like that so I feel good about that side but it was kind of like TJ was like this is classic. Oh I'm going to take this game over. I'm going to sack Cooper Rush. I'm going to pick off Cooper Rush. I'm going to score touchdowns. Their offense was horrendous. The defense looked good. I feel like it's a really good thing to get uh started off right under with a with a W and then you can fix things coming into week two. We feel pretty good going into week two I think. I'm happy you feel pretty good. You know what I feel pretty good about D butch. I feel pretty good that we're back in the top five top five top five time in this over reaction Monday. Storylines and abundance D but we had a chance to have eyes on again yesterday and there's a chance that it's going to make an appearance but let's start with number five. The Bears might actually be the best offense ever. Now Ben Johnson comes in to the off season and says uh hey listen we want to have the highest scoring offense in the NFL history. Okay this is I know you guys got the great show on turf. I know the Miami dolphins couple years ago hung 70 on the Denver Broncos somehow. Well we see that here tonight in Kansas City who knows there's a chance anything could happen especially with the way points are being scored but then they go down to Carolina and Caleb Williams is under center. Caleb Williams is going through the offense. Caleb Williams after the game would go on to say this is the worst we're going to be all season. He's making plays with his arms with his legs and it looks like Ben Johnson's offense is fully in there. D butch the Chicago Bears who you've been a believer in. Yep for a long long time. Similarly are their best version yet? Can their defense stop anybody though? Panthers scored 37 against them as Roma Donzay conquers the Roman Empire with one of the greatest catches we've seen in a week one. D but yeah that will certainly be what we'll be keeping our eyes on as that defense. That was a conversation coming into the year about the Bears. Could their defense repeat with the turnovers? But look this headline is all about the offense and boy did they put up the points. They were one half of the matchup that led to the highest scoring week one matchup in NFL history. Yeah Ben Johnson you rarely hear a head coach say hey I don't just want a Super Bowl. Usually that is the pinnacle. That's what everybody wants that Lombardi Trophy but he made it clear. I don't want just a Super Bowl. I want records. I want to put up points and boy did they start off right. Yes I've been a big fan of this marriage Ben Johnson Caleb Williams but it all starts with that run game with Ben Johnson six rushing touchdowns Caleb was dynamic in the air obviously but he also looks fast as hell when he talks that ball and runs so I'm excited about this bear's offense. Yeah you see that HEMBO stat right there D but the bear's six rushing touchdowns are there most in any game since 1941 and then the first team with six rushing touchdowns in a season opener since the 1922 Canton Bulldogs which we know they were Canton Bulldogs in a pounded pound world AJ Hawk already is anybody going to be able to stop the bear's pal I know the NFC North is certainly looking spectacular early and we're going to certainly have to hit on the Carson Wentz experience happening in Minnesota which I guess we should have predicted all along but Caleb and Ben getting together Caleb was being talked about is maybe the greatest prospect in the history of NFL football alongside John L.A. Andrew Luck you don't pass on this type of talent Ben Johnson was being talked in the same exact way at the head coaching position we should have assumed that they were going to be their absolute best on the offensive side here for the second season together yeah I guess it's kind of hard to assume anything headed into week one we don't really know what the teams are but if if we would have tried to you know prognosticate what this week one would have looked like for the bears I think it's it's not a shocking thing that their offense came I mean Ben Johnson he talked to be a game and then he backed it up with what they did and how how productive this offense was I just think like week one going out there and scoring as many points for the Chicago Bears like what does it do for Caleb's confidence for Ben Johnson and the rest of that coaching staff like they want to keep this thing rolling and they their defenses continue to get turnovers like they did last year on that point Foxy that's starting to look like a Jared God like offense up there just with a little extra sauce with what Caleb Williams is able to do isn't it Foxy no you're a 100% right Pat when I watch Caleb Williams do this this is when I'm worried now when he does the Caleb stuff whatever you're a great athlete you can do that when I see Caleb doing the Jared golf stuff and then obviously the wrong game marries with that I am very very very nervous about this Chicago Bears team and I'm very nervous that Ben Johnson being gone might affect the lines along the way yeah yeah there's since Ben Johnson being gone could affect an absence of a great is what everybody saying could potentially affect how the place is that he left but this isn't the only team that scored a bunch of points now they obviously are the headline because they were unbelievable and our coach said this is exactly what we're going to do and they actually do it spectacular points points points baby I mean you're talking about points galore I mentioned it there in the open we're 43 points away we are literally 43 points away from the highest scoring opening weekend in history of the NFL and I guess I just want to ask you a Jay hawk and D-Butt defensive ball get ball I heard you guys were ahead of the times before anybody else and then I heard coach Tomlin last night which by the way I thought he looked clean I thought I did a good job where congrats coach cannot wait to listen to you all year he said he was talking with coach Jason Garrett you know he ran a team as well he's like 20 years ago when we got to league boys were hitting boys were tackling boys were boys were in there he thinks now with the lack of maybe a preseason games the lack of training can practices that are allowed to happen maybe there isn't a lot of tackling happening on a defense aside maybe there isn't a lot of full go so these first couple weeks defences can get exposed now as opposed in the past when I thought it was the defense of head start D-Butt we'll start with you was it what is it because I mean obviously there's some magical offensive throws happening as well but we were at a game where they're just running through people I mean it is it should we see this happening for the foreseeable future D-Butt is this the new trend you know what AJ I'd like to get your take on the softness maybe of the defensive football nowadays yeah coach Tomlin made some great points and it's such a week to week lead we even looked at it last year with the week one and the on the others. I feel like the under is hit at a very, very high rate. And then this year it's completely different. Who knows what next week will bring. But you talk about it with college with a not being preseason. It's like that for a lot of these NFL teams, too. And then you talk about the element of Mike Thomas mentioned this as well, these mobile quarterbacks. And you're so programmed all season. Stay away from the quarterbacks. Stay away from the quarter. We saw them on their heart knocks with Coach McDonald talking to his guy, hey, stay away from the quarterback. And then you get into the game. You have Lamar Jackson, Caleb Williams, Josh Allen. And obviously these guys are going to expose you. So I think that's part of it tackling. But some of these offense just hit the ground running, made plays, some of these playmakers, and obviously these coaches as well. Yeah, Dee, but when I watched this, I was trying to figure it out. Does anyone have any good theories around the league? And Tom and I thought he made some good points about it. And it is true. It's a real thing to where if you don't tackle to the ground throughout training camp, once you're getting that first game or the first preseason game, you realize your body's like, you're not ready for it. Yeah. If you say you're in practice and you're running your tagging off, you get low, OK, we tag off or we thud. It's a big difference when you go to the ground because it's just, I don't know how to describe it. It takes a couple of weeks, I think, to get your body in addition to doing that and then getting up off through all of that stuff. It sounds like basic and simple, but it's pretty real. I think we saw it happen this week, what about you? Well, it's also just like the quarterback play. It feels like we spent all of this offseason time out how good the league is as far as quarterback goes. And I think we're seeing that now. Like if you look and run down some of the stat line, some of these guys put up. I mean, we're jacking through for 350 yards. Carson wins out of hell of a day. Big, yeah. Well, what do you mean? He sounded surprised by that. I'm not going to say it when you started the game. You're thinking, all right, this guy's not going to, Kyler's not going to go out that early after, especially like early in the game. He throws that ball up for everybody to anybody in the stands to get when they blitz him a lot of pressure. And Carson one steps in and look very good. Yeah, he looked very good. Obviously we're talking Kyler JJ, Kyler JJ, Kyler JJ. And then all of a sudden, you forget about the Carson wins experience. And I guess they were together last year and we saw him go overseas and introduce the international crowd to what a Carson wins experience could be, which is absolutely exhilarating football. I mean, just no question about it. Carson wins is the most electrifying football player that ever played. I'm saying that as an Indianapolis Colts fan who watched him literally throw, I think, an off-handed shot put, zero yard picks six in a division title game. And then the next play, balance on the ground on top of the football and throw at 60 yards, the Michael Pittman for a first down in a massive game. He is spectacular. The upside with Carson wins is outrageous. He's an incredibly athletic guy. He's wildly tough. Probably too tough for his own good to be honest. I mean, if you had to explain Carson once, you'd say too tough for his own damn good. But he is a spectacular spectacle. Whatever he is playing, incredible football. He's got Justin Jefferson in a bucket rating. I mean, just an absolute dime. Let alone two touchdowns now for Justin Jefferson. I think I heard that was his first home touchdown since 2024. Yeah. I think I heard that. He was on quite a dry spell at home. Last year, I think he only had like two touchdowns. That's obviously a big talking point. None of us dropped him in our rankings after their stats last year. I think that just goes to show how much respect we have for Justin Jefferson. But Carson wins. Kevin O'Connell in a fourth quarter comeback that people are going to talk about forever. I absolutely love it. Now, the reason why I might get talked about forever is because this goes to the number three storyline. A tale of two of fours. One of the four. He knew the world. We saw his haircut before we saw him. He's from Los Angeles Rams, hired by the Arizona Cardinals. Everybody's assumed he was going to be a head coach. He comes from the Rams in McVeigh. But everybody says this guy's good coach. This guy's good coach. Obviously, his brother's head coach for the Green Bay Packers has been. Now, Matt LaFour, Green Bay Packers head coach, he's been talking a lot. He's been talking a lot. He talked about Jordan Love, obviously, being the best quarterback at the line of scrimmage that he's ever coached. Obviously, LaFour and Gunther Coons decided to kick Aaron Rodgers out of Green Bay whenever he came out of that dark hole, which he went on Cam Hayward Show and said, "I never did that again." And we told him before he did that. He should probably never do that. But there's been a lot of chatter about LaFour, Jordan Love, Gunther Coons, being this next generation of Green Bay Packer greatness, and on opening day, they absolutely collapse as a veteran crew. Let's head over to a Green Bay Packer's owner, a man who's obviously die hard there, cannot wait to hear this. Ty, the Vikings just kind of dumped all over the Green Bay Packers there to late. Was it because Brian Flores maybe wore the boys out? Okay, 78% pressure rate. We're bringing it, we're bringing it, we're bringing it, we're bringing it, we're bringing it, and then no longer, you had to tap out at the end. Bad decisions were being made. Ty Schmidt, where do we sit on the Green Bay Packers right now that you just said are on life support after the Carson Wentz experience yesterday? Yeah, I mean, I'm certainly not happy, and it's not just yesterday. I mean, you look at their last six games, all of which they have lost. In four of those, they had double digit leads in the fourth quarter, so at a certain point, is that coaching? I think a big part of it is coaching. Like, these guys just, for whatever reason, they don't know how to finish. You mentioned the pressure. I mean, and maybe I was one of those guys who wasn't really given Brian Flores enough credit for how good their defense was, because the Packers blocked him up, pretty good, the first three quarters, and then it was almost like LeFloor told the offensive line at the start of the fourth quarter, "Hey, quit blocking." It was like that scene, remember the Titans, when you know, Sunshine says, "Hey, let him through." Let him through, Ray. And that's what they were doing the entire, I mean, love had no time to throw in, and that's who they need to really step up. He played well. The offense looked great for three quarters, and then they just shit down their leg in the fourth quarter, like they did in the playoff game against the Bears. So, I'm not happy, but again, it's the first week. Now, I'll tell you what, if they get beat by the Jets next week. - Oh, man. - Oh, that's good. - Hey, good. - They could. - Aaron Glent's given speeches after wins. - Yeah, I didn't know what he was possible. - Exactly, who wants to go flying like a fucking jet. He's saying that, and it's in New York. So, we'll see, but like you guys were saying, that's just a terrible way to start the season, not the way you want to start the season at all. - Now, we're talking about Aaron Glent right now, and the Jets, it's been really quiet over there. - Yeah. - Really quiet over there. They didn't have any leaks around the draft time. Obviously, we all respect Aaron Glent's coaching ability. That's why he's the head coach of the New York Jets, but they got rid of everybody, and they're just trying to redo it. Gino Smith might be a dude. Can Gratz of them, what's going on with the Titans? I mean, that's a big question. Let's get back to the Green Bay Packers and Brian Flores bringing the pressure. And AJ, this would be a question for you, and D-butt a lot more than it would be for me to talk about, but just as a player, which, you know, I probably pick up football, Grona. - Hell yeah. - And also played in Plums' Peewee football league. Is that what it was called? - Well, position. P-M-F-A, Plum Major Football Association. - Whoa, I didn't know it was called that. - That's it? - I didn't know. - That's it, that's it, that's it, that's it. - That's still what's going on, I believe. - Yeah, they still go right back. - Peewee, I think it's called Peewee. I don't know, I'm not hurtful. I played all the positions. First day I showed up. I was big, they pulled me a line off its line. Then we ran in Spring City and I was pretty fast, and they pulled me in like a defensive end, which was cool for a little bit out of good time. I actually had a good hands there, I did that in time thing. Then moved back to safety. They were running back, then never blew out receiver. Tony was a quarterback, I was able to play for a couple weeks 'cause I was in the middle, literally playing soccer and potentially representing, you know. - Jim Thoriz. - It was a bad game. - You just thrown it up outside of the guy. He would come down with it. It was really neat. - Pass out there somewhere. - Okay. - I was pretty good, I'm gonna be honest. I was pretty good back in those days. I'm not gonna lie. I grew up in Pittsburgh, played a lot of football. But on that note, playing football, if Brian Flores is sending him much pressure, the boys love it, AJ, right? And then whenever a defense is deciding exactly how the offense is gonna play. Now you're exposed for explosives whenever you're bringing it like that, but it does feel like the boys will ride for you in the locker room. If you put their onus on them to apply the pressure. This 78% pressure rate, obviously the highest of week one, but this is kind of Flores' thing, right? And this is like Flores is gonna bring it with Van Ginkle, who seemingly have been playing under a Flores defense. - What strip right there, too? - Yeah, he's been playing with Flores' defense for what? - 30 years, it feels like. I honestly, I feel like we've seen him for 100 years playing in this defense. It's similar results every single time, but defense is love a DC that's gonna send it, I guess, especially if it works, like it did obviously in the fourth quarter late as they wore down that Packer's offense, I think. - Well, I think it, Debug can speak to this, too, like as a DB, those guys know, if we're bringing pressure, DBs will tell you if they say you're defense, isn't that good in your blitz? You know, these guys out to dry. I mean, stop calling those blitz, and when you play cover three or two or something, because we're not getting home with four. So if you bring pressure, and we know, like, say, say we're bringing six until, hey, Debug, you got to cover about a second and a half here, because we're getting there. I promise you, someone's getting there. We're going to disrupt this. You're going to have interception opportunities. And I think when you have success like this as a defense, and you can go in the film room today and show the guys, hey, remember, when we'd walk through this blitz on Wednesday? This is how it works. Look how it worked on Sunday multiple times. It's how I set this blitz up. It's how I set that thing up for Debug. I know as a guy in the secondary, not only are you coming off the edge, your blitz a little bit when you're playing Nickelback, but how do you feel when you're a DB safety corner? And you know that these blitzers are getting home consistently? I love it. And he mentioned it with Van Genke. He'd been in the defense for a while. So a lot of guys would have played a ton of downs in that floor as defense. So knowing kind of like where your weak points are in the defense in this game. Like, hey, we can get here, but that's OK. As long as we don't get hit in these spots. And if somebody makes a catch, you just make a tackle. But when you're blitzed 78% of the time, the chance that you create those havoc plays go up tremendously. So yeah, I would love it as a defender. Obviously, if it's working, if you have the talent, which they do. And at some point that pressure is going to get to them, what I love about it, too, is you don't always have to get the quarterback on the ground. Sometimes it's like the Phantom pressure. You start seeing goals. Or you think you got something here. You throw it into a drop and you throw a pick. So I think it was awesome what they do in defense. I love watching as a fan for sure. You can get got deep though, right? We all-- that is the-- I mean, yeah. We got to go. like Christian Watson. If you don't tackle him, he can go 80 on you. So you have to be aware of those weapons, but that's part of it. You can't play scared in that defense. And as it goes on, once you kind of get the flavor of the week, as they say with the offenses or the third downs or the red area, then you kind of get more and more confident. And that's when players are kind of like, Hey, let's run this one. Let's help this one. Yeah. Start having those conversations on the sideline, but I love watching it. Man, so Florida is just kind of like a Carson Wentz. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. No. No risk. No. Most of the time Superbow champ shows car on rents. Florida's got superbow ring too. Let's not get it twisted out of here. Okay. And he's potential. He was finals for MVP. Yeah. People forget about that. I was about a dog year ago, right? Every year was like seven years. Yeah. Yeah. I think that's about what that was. But nonetheless, still has it. He's a electrifying guy on offense. Florida is a electrifying defense. Vikings might be must watch this year. They get a huge one over Matt LaFloor in Green Bay. Let's go to the other of the floor, the tale of two LaFloors. Not just one LaFloor. This is multiple fliers. Let's go there. It was done. Are we worried about the chargers? Hey, what the hell happened? What's going on here? Obviously, they lose the center. Jim Harbaugh distraught on the show. I've never seen a coach like that. I've never experienced that. It's always next man up next man up. Let's do that. But here was Coach Harbaugh literally the day after they find out they lose center. Got my dover down a little bit today. We had an injury yesterday at practice and it just takes to win down to your sales. You got to get to sleep it off one night wasn't enough. But the trajectory of the team is outstanding. But yeah, you know, you get the player like Tyler Beatich who was, I mean, just been been so dialed in, so invested in the team and, you know, to see really it was a play that was probably a one in 10,000 type of play where he was bummed out. The artist goes down. Jim Harbaugh says his dober is down. That led to an entire conversation. What the hell does that mean? You know, we don't even know. We've never heard that saying before. But he was bummed out. Was that the issue? They just been so bummed out over there because the offense bummed me out. I didn't like what I saw. McDaniel's with Justin Herbert. We've been seeing videos all off season of like, hey, stuff's about to happen with a football in the offensive side of the field that you've never seen before. Okay. This is about to be an electrifying. Jim Harbaugh's teams always going to be good. Just like John Harbaugh's teams always going to be good. It's how we feel this entire thing. Then the Arizona Cardinals, they're in the middle of a contract dispute, which a code you percent, they're going to end up paying them $17 million. Everybody's going to laugh in their faces. They come out, smack the chargers around. Jacobi percent throws for $277. They're blocking. Ponce, they're doing all the little things. And it's like, wait a second. Have we been completely wrong about a lot of stuff just because how we naturally respond to stuff? But the Cardinals might not be asked in the chargers. Are they not going to be the spectacle that we're expecting? Because that's going to bump me out, AJ. If they are not what I thought they were going to be coming into the season, because I had really high hopes, especially because Justin Herbert is dating Jen beer. Yeah. We got celebrities coming together. We got big things happening. This is going to be good for ball. LA was going to have an incredible offsetting. It was going to be spectacular. Celebrity relationship. We've already seen what that does for ball. Yeah. Yeah, sure. Yeah, sure. Yeah, it's okay. We mean, you know, it's really cute and stuff. But the chargers suck and people are sick of the gimmick. People are sick of the gimmick. And I'm getting that. The dovers down on biotician stuff. When they go up there in the press game, post game, press conference. And they're just saying, uh, and, um, and, um, people are sick of that one. Two, they're sick of coming into every single season. Like, this is our year. We're going to do it this year. We're finally going to be the L.A. Chargers that take over L.A. That was embarrassing. That was brutal. But I mean, I'm got all in on the air. Yeah. The way they were the way. Traming Brian. And I think it was Wing Guard as well. After the game and the clock running out going over to the floor and like hugging them and embracing them and how that team has kind, kind of bought into the, hey, everyone thinks we're going to suck. We had a guy on who works for the Cardinals who are a big reporter for the Cardinals. He said we'd be lying to us. Yeah. He said we'd be lucky for still two games in the first 11 weeks. And for them to come out and beat the Chargers on the road, I think they're 10 point dog. Like, that, that is remarkable. I am all in on the Cardinals. Now there's a chance they lose the next nine games. But on this day on September 14th, these Cardinals are a problem and I can't wait to watch them on this September 14th. Happy birthday, Sally McAfee. Happy birthday, Sally. But you're right on September 14th, 2026. And maybe for the foreseeable future, maybe this is what Michael Floor's teams are. Yeah. Maybe this guy's a good coach. Yeah. Yeah. The team. Maybe it is a fool by the hair. Yeah. And legit, the hair really messed us up. Cause, you know, cause Matt LaFloor has the bras. That's right. The eyebrows. And obviously we've seen him have success. His record is a head coach. He's ridiculous. Okay. So there's going to be people potentially Packers fans at some point that are going to want LaFloor the hell out of time. He's had a lot of wins. Maybe he'll be able to figure it out. But we don't know what this Michael or Floor guy is, which leads to, Hey, there's a lot of rookie head coaches that had some success. But what is it? Four and two, four and two rookie head coaches is that the final stat? We heard the bus. I believe so. And for four of these guys to get a win in their daybues, head coaches, very, very tough. You talk about it's still in the culture. You know, some team, Jesse mentioned, you're taking a veteran quarterback, a pretty veteran team getting a win. LaFloor, a young team veteran quarterback, you're getting a win. Then you got a coup, coups over there in Vegas. They got a win over my dolphins for now. And then Joe Brady obviously, you can, you can, you can the MVP Josh out and everybody who's saying that's the best quarterback in the league. You start the season off against kind of the boogeyman in Houston, Texas defense to get a win. So yeah, that's four out of their debut to get a win. Four and two top monkeys. Obviously ugly over there. Totally a mind. Yeah, it's that's the bronze. I think, hopefully, obviously run into a stubborn Raiders team, which I like, by the way, in Max Mad Maxman. Sure. Man, those are crispy. Yeah. Which one? Be specific. I assume men, those ahead an incredible game day as well. We, I haven't seen it yet, but I'm assuming he crushed it. Max Crosby. There's a reason this guy is who he is. Crazy that the Ravens didn't want him, but you just mentioned, we'll get to that in a little bit. Well, you just mentioned Josh Allen and Joe Brady. Love that Joe Brady is a full Florida boy. Shard off. We got chain on, we're celebrating on the side. What a rally by them. And that leads to top five, top five, top five, number two headline. Josh Allen is still Josh Allen. I mean, watching him take over that game and play down at Houston, which we all have respect for the Houston defense, right? Oh, yeah. Oh, yeah. Yeah. Everybody that has eyes and watches ball has respect for the Houston Texans defense. Obviously, that is how they have proven to be a absolute wonder in the Buffalo Bill's defense. Obviously, 31 points is a lot of points. But Josh Allen in week one, doing shit that we normally see him do in like week 13, week 14 in the snow, where he just dominates has a thousand touchdowns. Does it all is running is scrambling is jumping is throwing is dicing and slicing and then winning against the Houston Texans down there, which he hasn't been able to do kind of get a monkey. Maybe off of his back whenever he talks about NRG or reliant stadium in Houston, it was just special to watch. And I think Joe Brady getting a big time win is great. And I think them hiring a guy that Josh Allen is friends with and likes is a good thing, especially if it's Josh Allen. Now, not every coach or not every player, I'm sorry, should be able to like be a part of the hiring process of a head coach. I think their opinion should certainly be heard, but the decision should be made by somebody. For Josh Allen, with how unique of a talent he is, him being in the interview process and standing by Joe Brady and then Joe Brady, obviously having the entire locker room the way that he does. It feels like they've made the right decision, just if you go off a result oriented business with what they did to Houston versus what they've done to Houston in the past or with Houston in the past. I, it's dude's an alien, bro. Gotta want a Super Bowl, right? Nobody cares. Yeah, we're sure you want a Super Bowl. Nobody cares until you want a Super Bowl. But this dude is outrageous. I think there's 81 touchdowns. Great. Russian touchdowns. Yeah. Is that one of those 81 rushing touchdowns? I think he he moves into like top 20 all time and rushing touchdowns, not for quarterbacks for running backs as well. I mean, he's special and we're very lucky to watch it. Gotta win a Super Bowl though, AJ. That's all anybody cares what a catch by Josh Palmer there. Half two right there. It was awesome watching Josh talk about this play after the game saying we've never wrapped this He's never thrown the ball there in practice to where it was, but he makes the read, makes the decision in game, the biggest part of the game to do it. And to put up 36 on this Texans defense, it's pretty awesome. I mean, this Texans defense, they're going to have a very good year, I believe. Obviously, CJ Straub played well too. I know we had worries about him coming into this game just from footage him walking into training camp. I know you guys have had all kind of issues with him, but he looked up and said, "Oh, the Internet." We did. If you weren't the Internet tone, you'd basically speak to the Internet. I didn't see the video as bit-concerned, but yeah, I was glad to see you. I just stepped out here and slaying it a little bit and I think both these teams are going to be solid, but the bills in Josh Allen, yeah, there's a reason I picked him to win the Super Bowl last year. It obviously didn't hit, but I've always been high in the bills. Now on that note about the big time win, the throw to Josh Palmer that he hadn't done, you know, ever in practice, D-butt, what do we do? What do we do? Catch the ball. Catch the ones. They throw you. Feels like the football gods always do this. If you have a game-winning pick opportunity in your lap and you give it up, you're losing immediately, D-butt. What the hell happened out there? I'm sure AJ has been a part of this. I'm sure Conner remembers the 17-0 Patriots who had a chance to go in the feed and win the Super Bowl, dropped a couple of interception. It always comes back to bite you in the ass. This was kind of a flashback to Josh Allen three or four years ago. He would always make kind of that goofball, terrible throw, terrible decision. Which he did here. Come on, he laughs at her. One of the best corners in the league just drops like a punt and then from the comeback and the next play and throw an absolute strike to Josh Palmer to get the touchdown. That's what you got to have. That's the mentality you have to have as a quarterback, as a quarterback. You got to have that short-term memory, just go back there, drop an absolute seat to win the game. I mean, unbelievable play by Josh Allen. A lot of pressure in Buffalo. Anytime you have an MVP caliber quarterback and you're coming in as the new head coach, it's going to be pressure there. And even more pressure, I would say on Brandon being up in the general manager when you get really charming tournament and all the success he had as a head coach. You obviously made a decision as an ownership group we're going to bring to being in his vision going forward. So yeah, when you got a talent like Josh Allen, under center, the pressure is on to win the Super Bowl from day one. I think there are communications, God boycoes under a lot of pressure too. Definitely. Definitely. From my understanding. So, you know, a lot of heat whenever you're at the top of the mountain or supposed to be at the top of the mountain and we can't wait to watch this version of the Buffalo Bills this year. And let's talk about the top of the mountain and needing to win a Super Bowl. And I'll tell you, these eyes, watch the team that could win a Super Bowl. Jesse Mentor's Baltimore Ravens, okay, with Lamar Jackson running 77% motion, okay, 77% of the time. That's the second most, I think, or most whatever the, most Lamar Jackson under center, three different motions with eight seconds left on a play clock. You had the cults completely had no idea what was going on. And then obviously Lamar goes crazy, Derek Henry goes absurd. Everything they'd say flowers, he might have heard his hamstring because he was too fucking open. I mean, watching this Ravens team was absurd yesterday. And it wasn't until I walked into the stadium and I saw Lamar Jackson on a field that really hit me like, man, I get to watch Lamar Jackson play football today. Like I, that's crazy that I'm going to, I get to be here. And he did. Yeah. This guy might have had the greatest game he's ever had their entire offense looked very much in sync. Just everything looked easy, okay, and then the defense, Jesse Mentor, we assume he's going to have an incredible defense. And I assume they're going to do great. They smothered the cults, they pounded the cults. And with these eyes, I said, they might be the greatest team in NFL history. We don't know that. We have no idea what is possible, but they had an MVP, a tight player in Lamar Jackson, didn't get a deal done, which everybody was talking about, which is interesting for Lamar's motivation. And what is he thinking about long term, new coach, new operation? He was at everything this spring, he was at every workout, he was all in on learning everything about everything. And he was very obvious, Debut. They looked outrageous and in Derek Henry, how is he still doing it? We watched him in high school, what, in 1999 he was doing this to people in high school, Debut I don't, I feel like I might be overreacting a little bit. This Raven's team looked flawless, kicker hit a 58 yard field goal, punner bombed a couple, he's at a Michigan state. I mean, the team looked unbelievable yesterday. He's at the coaches, at the Ravens, I'm choosing to believe long season, culture still okay. Ravens might be greatest team in NFL history. Look out 72 dolphins, Debut. Yeah, I couldn't ask for a better start if you're Jesse Mentor, you talk about Zay flowers that is stint and he got raised some eyebrows out in the, I guess football community, especially amongst the casuals, like why is Zay flowers getting this money? He showed you pretty soon, why? Pretty early on in this game, he looked like Prime Jerry Rice early in this game before he went out with the hammy just unbelievable, but watching Lamar, just like you, I had to come and say I think we're calm, man, we got to the game as well. Like you start seeing those Lamar Jackson jerseys on the street, you see him, it's like, okay, we do get to watch eight live in an action and boots on the ground, you get a different appreciation for him, just his whole operation, just his comfort level. And this is a brand new offense with Deckland Doyle calling the plays now. He was operating from the pocket. There were times where I was standing up, hands in there, celebrating the second we had, and then Lamar was scooting 25 yards down the field. And I think Logan Ryan said it on the call, I heard a clip after, like when you think about Derek Henry and Lamar Jackson, it's almost like Kobe and Shaq. When they are gone and they get it rolling, it can get unstoppable. So when you have that three-headed monster when Zay flowers is healthy, Lamar, Zay and Derek Henry, who just seems just getting bigger, faster, stronger as the years go on. Yes, they are forced to be recognized. It's the reason why I think they are tied for the highest win total coming into this year, even with a new head coach. I'm excited about Lamar. This year, he looks like he's well off to an MVP caliber season. It seems like every year he's in that conversation, just the same as Josh Allen. The pressure is there with these new head coaches to go and win and go and win now. Yeah, and I'll tell you, the Raven certainly did win right now, and then again, right after that, and then again, right after that. I mean, I think there was a couple drops by a couple of water receivers, like maybe Mark Andrews drop on, which were all like dumbfounded by. But it was virtually a perfect performance from Lamar Jackson. And he's clearly faster than everybody whenever he wants to be, but he just strolls, man. He's just casual, bro. Just in between plays, just kind of walking, casual and complete control. How do I just in command? Everybody obviously knows what's happening. He's under center, completely comfortable down there. No problem at all. It's like this guy, I know, obviously, a lot of people still to this day, even though it's QBR and passer rating are like up in the '90s and he's considered one of the greatest players in the world. A lot of people just think Lamar Jackson's an athlete or whatever Lamar Jackson's athlete. Some people still think that, I guess, at this point. It's like, I've never seen a more polished look in quarterback. That was outrageous yesterday. I mean, it was an absolute ass long season, long season, okay? Coats are going to be better than any look yesterday. Ravens are just the best. Potentially. Potentially. Let's talk about what we were just chatting about the other. Ravens might be the greatest team in the history of the NFL. We're not a hundred percent sure, but we do know Zay Flowers left that game early because of a hamstring. Do we have any updates on any of that? And what time should we expect the updates from most of these injuries, Chefty? Okay. Well, they come in throughout the course of the day and week and obviously every injury is different. But I would say that with a hamstring, you miss a little bit of time. It doesn't sound overly serious, but again, to think that you'd be out there this week would probably be unrealistic, Jacoby Lane fractured his wrist. That's going to be a problem for the Baltimore Ravens as well. And you know, you're talking about how impressive they were. Just think about the fact that they get Jesse Menter, which they're hoping upgrades that defense. They have Deplen Doyle, who the bears want to keep under Ben Johnson, who they hired as their offensive cornering. You saw what Deplen Doyle did. And as Debot was pointing out, they paid Zay Flowers $35 million a year and people are like, "Why are they doing that?" Well, I think yesterday answered that question. They're not dumb these teams. They know what they have and they knew what they had in Zay and they were getting that deal done as soon as they could because they believe in his skills. Now, it was unfortunate that he went out with the hamstring injury, but this team is clicking on all cylinders. And I'll also say this. You brought up Max Crosby. Nobody's talking about Trey Hendrickson and the two joint practices they had this summer. I was told that he was unblockable then. He was almost unblockable yesterday. And I think he's brought a lot of fire in life to that Raven's defense. Yeah, shout-out to Trey Hendrickson. Obviously, we're big fans of his. Hopefully, the Ravens are able to go on a run for him, especially with the interesting ending alongside the Cincinnati Bengals who would then bring in Sexy Dexy to revamp their defensive line, which seemingly helped out immensely. Let's talk about a defensive line that looks nothing like what we thought it was going to look like. He's not going to play. And now all of a sudden, AJ has a question for you about another high price, high talked about off-season subject, AJ. Yeah, Shepty, were you caught off guard at all about this Miles Garrett getting this arthroscopic surgery on his knee? Is this something that had been lingering throughout? Obviously, we know he missed most of camp. But did you think that the surgery was going to happen and how long do you expect him out? Mm-hmm. Well, I think that it had been an issue. They were managing it all during camp. I thought it was peculiar that he went three straight weeks without practicing. And all of a sudden, the week at the opener, I'm ask around like is he playing? Yeah he's playing is playing. Okay. Obviously he did not feel right. He was not a factor in that opening game and clearly was bothering him to the point where they made the decision this weekend to have the surgery. Now he's having the surgery today and they're waiting to see how it goes before they updated. But it sounds like it's going to be a minimum of a month that sounds like it'll land them on IR and you're showing not going to rush Miles Garrett back. You want to make sure that he's healthy and right before you're bringing him back. So minimum four weeks, potentially longer depending on how the surgery and the recovery go. Can't say that just yet. But yeah I mean that's a blow like it's funny how this changes. You think about the Monday night matchup next week. It's the Giants and the Rams and people were talking about the Giants. If they can't find a way to beat Dallas now they want to LA and now they can start Oh and two on their John Harbor. Well hold on. What did Lee Corsair say? Not so fast my friends, right? The Giants got win. Giants now going to LA. Rams don't have Miles Garrett. My guess is Aaron Donald will be back and make his debut next Monday night. Minus Miles Garrett and all of a sudden it looks like a game the Giants love a chance to win. Not till they will win but the Giants look like they're playing till football. So the Rams it's a rough start. You lose a game. You lose Miles Garrett. That's not exactly the start that people were envisioning for a team that some people were thinking could go unbeaten this year. Yeah me. Yeah I was wondering how people could get a first down. I guess we'll have to wait for the Avengers of a defense blind until at least a week four Aaron Donald and Miles Garrett together. I thought we were getting that down under would have been awesome to watch. And I think it would have been good for the Rams who obviously started a little bit lack of luster to kick his entire thing off. There's a storyline developing in Pittsburgh. One they're want to know under Mike McCarthy. On the defensive side there is there still moves to be made. Tone has a question for you, Shafty. Yes, Shafty obviously officially on Sunday. Joey Porter Jr. was on the inactive list. He did not play in the game on Sunday with a quote unquote back issue. I believe coach McCarthy also said it was kind of a part of his ramp up. You said in that tweet there could be a trade possibility still. What's the latest developing in that situation? Well before I answer were you surprised that he wasn't going to play to him? A little bit yeah yeah. Yeah, I think a lot of people were and I think that honestly the biggest thing is the conditioning factor. He hadn't practiced all summer. It's tough to go out and play the opener at that spot when you haven't practiced it all all summer long. And so I think that was a part of it. He's had the back issue all summer long. He hasn't practiced. They want to be smart and I'm sure let's be honest that he wants to be really smart about it being that he doesn't have the deal that he wants and it's it's a tricky spot because we've seen a number of cornerbacks this off season get paid the north of $30 million. Denzel Ward did. Christian Gonzalez did. Devin Witherspoon did. And Joey Porter wants to be paid. On the other hand, I think the Pittsburgh Steelers say great player. We think there's a certain value for you but I don't know that you're worth more than Patrick Sir Tandon at a number of like $24 million. Right. So it leaves the two sides in a difficult spot where they're trying to find a common ground and haven't come close to doing it yet. And he's not playing. And so the Steelers have been open to listening to offers so far for what they would want back. There's not been a lot of trade interest. I don't know what would spur that right now. Usually as we see these things get done when they have to. The trade deadline would be November 10th. Pittsburgh's winning too. You're not going to want to unload good players. He's not happy with the situation. It's it's evolving. Let's see where it goes. It's still early. Okay. Let's talk about evolving. The Browns is still the Browns. It appears. Debut has a question about the drama of the off season that has kind of lingered into the regular season. Yeah. That was one of the quarterback competition. We all kept our eyes on it. It didn't start well for Todd Monkin and Deshaun Watson in Cleveland yesterday. Are you hearing any rumblings about a potential quarterback change in Cleveland already? Well, first of all, today is Deshaun Watson's 31st birthday. Yeah. Yeah. Happy birthday. Wow. 31. 31. Today's going to get for yourself would have been a successful Monday. Maybe that's what that's what they're saying. But we're saying congrats on another trip around the Sun. Now all that know and yep, and that was his first NFL start in 693 days and they had the whole team was terrible. And so I think what the team was thinking going into this was they wanted. They hoped that Deshaun was going to be able to start the first week at Jacksonville. Play well. Start the next week at Tampa on the road again. Play well and ride him until they felt like they needed a change. I think that was the initial plan to go with a veteran on the road in Florida. But they look so poor yesterday. Everybody did that after the game, they asked Todd Monkin about it. He was non-committal on anything or anybody. He may go back and look at the table and say, you know what? Let's go. Should door in Tampa next week or he may just say, let's ride it out another week. But if they were to stick with him, I don't know what they will. I think it's fair to say the clock is running right now. And if they were to lose again, it's hard to imagine that you're going to bring Deshaun Watson back for a home opener in front of fans that have already booed him if you were on to. Like, I don't know if they'll stick with him this week. They may make a change. We'll see. That's something they're going to go over. But I can't imagine that by the time they get home, look at the schedule here. In the third week of the season, the Cleveland Browns play Carolina at home and Pittsburgh at home. And so, yeah, I don't know that Deshaun Watson is going to make it to there unless she starts playing considerably better. Now, there's a chance Jacksonville Jaguars are who Liam Cohen says they are. You know, maybe it was made to Cleveland Browns look like, you know, a dump in a pants literally crossed the board down there. But Trevor Lawrence looked unbelievable. Okay. And obviously their defense was hunting. I mean, Deshaun got hit a bunch. It is maybe a different time down in Duval, too. So let's not give up all hope on Todd Monkin being a good head coach. But I'm telling you, people are already saying Todd Monkin's probably going to end up coaches somewhere else in a year or two. I don't like that that's happening. But that's seemingly Cleveland Browns world in a nutshell. We have a question now about another nutshell. And this nutshell is maybe the greatest nutshell that we've seen in football. There's a quarterback battle all off season Minnesota collar, JJ collar, JJ collar, JJ collar, JJ collar throws a pick, collar gets a concussion. We know he's a concussion protocol. We'll see how it goes. But Ty has a question about the experience that the Packers got to ride alongside the Minnesota Vikings fans as well. Yeah, chef. He considering that, you know, when you go in the concussion protocol, these guys miss anywhere from, you know, two to five weeks now. What are the odds that Carson Wentz kind of takes the reins in Minnesota. And that Carson Wentz experience rolls on for the next several weeks, maybe even the entire season. But before I answer that, I get a question for you. How do you feel about the Packers losing six straight games now? Yeah, dread dread absolutely dread. You know, I would say that I don't say it as a taunt. That's not how I operate. I'm just like, I can't believe a team that good as well. Are they? Are they? That's what we say. Kind of groundhogs day around here. That's how we're talking. I want to know it. Carson Wentz is going to win the NFC north this year as the quarterback of the Minnesota Vikings. Well, I'll say this, the Vikings players were saying that Kyle Murray was in good spirits after the game. Usually a player that's in the fencing posture who's gone through brain trauma is not playing the next week. So I wouldn't think that Kyle is going to play. So it's another week of Carson. And I would guess you find yourself in one of those scenarios where, if Carson plays well, again, this week looked at playing the Bears, the high flying Bears who are on pace here to shout or scoring records. And of course, and Wentz isn't a shootout with them. And they find a way to win the game. And he's playing like, you're going to keep playing them the next week. And so you'll keep riding me. There's a reason they wanted him back there in Minnesota. They had JJ. They were signing Kyle and they still wanted Wentz. And they wanted him because they know what he's capable of. They wanted his veteran presence. They obviously had questions about the quarterback position in general. They didn't know how Kyle and JJ were going to work out. So yeah, I think as long as he's playing well and they're winning, he'll keep playing. That's the way it's going to be. Now, I think when Kyle is healthy and ready, whether that's two weeks through, it's whatever it may be, I think they'll probably, at some point on, go back to him. But it's Carson's turn right now to ride it out, see how he can play. And yesterday, pretty amazing, right? He comes in as a backup. He's the first backup quarterback to enter a game, and throw three touchdowns. No interceptions since the very first game, and Vikings franchise history when Fran Tarkington did it. No other backup quarterback ever had done that in an opening game across the NFL. And the only time it ever happened was with Fran Tarkington. Fran? Pretty good name to be alongside. Obviously, as Carson Wentz, becomes second reserve. Shout out to him by using the word reserve instead of backup quarterback, which we respect as if it was still 1950 when that happened for Fran Tarkington. Okay, let's go back in time. Obviously, we had a huge NFL sunday slate. We'll talk about college here in a little bit. But there was obviously midweek games last week that kicked off the entire week one, especially up there in Seattle, as we saw a quarterback that was a finalist for the MVP last year. Have his worst quarter ever. Connor has a question about what's going on with the Patriots. Yeah, chef. He had another similar injury to Miles Garrett, the big acquisition for New England, AJ Brown. He left the game, had an ankle injury, and now he is officially on IR. Someone had to break that news on the radio this weekend to him. But what is the situation with AJ? Is it going to be the full four weeks? Is it going to be six weeks? Is there any sort of thought of when he's going to be back from this injury? Well, it's going to be a minimum of four weeks. It definitely could be six weeks. That is the range that I was told it would be four to six weeks on the high ankle spring, which would be consistent with that particular injury. He doesn't need surgery, so that's encouraging. But he was grabbing that on Thursday night, Wednesday night, you knew right away it was going to be something, and he's going to miss some time now. And that's a blow like when he went out of that game. It wasn't like he was lighting it up while he was in there, but it did seem to change. And Romeo Dobbs didn't make the plays that he needed to in that particular matchup. He's going to need to make those plays here going forward, and they had a pretty deep wide receiving room, so it seemed, and those other guys have to step out, because it's going to be four to six weeks. Okay, four to six weeks for AJ Brown. That's obviously a third of the season nowadays with 17 games. We appreciate the hell out of you, Chef. Anything we miss coming out of week one NFL Sunday before ten nights, Monday night, football, Patrick Mahomes returns here at home as a two and a half point favorite against the Denver Broncos. Well, I think, obviously, Burnup Joy Porter, we didn't bring up John Harbottle and the effect that he had on the Giants. Well, you try to, it sounds like you've got a pretty good tie in there, and I respected appreciate that. Let's hit that a little bit more, because they were a team that a lot of people had high hopes for. Now, obviously, Giants fans were believers in Jackson Dart. I think that was a great way to start this game by the way, because Jackson Dart takes the hit, doesn't end up into blue tent, the boys fight for him. John Harb, everything he likes, his toughness, he loves it, his boys had to fight, and then every time the Dallas Cowboys were maybe mounted to come back, the Giants would answer. Jackson Dart proved time and time again that he has an answer, and then likely, what an offensive weapon record, and then likely, what an offensive weapon record is on in every single play. And Scataboo is back to hitting backflips after scoring touchdowns, and maybe taking out a pile on right there. Roll his ankle, get done through that. So, uh, Chefty, your thoughts on Harb on the Giants, as it sounds like, maybe you have a little sauce that we don't have or haven't covered yet? Well, a couple of things. You see I say I likely catch that pass. When likely played in Baltimore, he was a guy that Lamar Jackson loved and believed it. And if it weren't for all those weapons that they had there, Derek Ronnie, Derek Henry Ronnie, Mark Andrews, say flowers, likely would have been used more. And I think they were ready to have him blossom last year. He got hurt early in the year. And when John Harbock gets the Giants job, one of the priorities that he puts out there is to go and get Isaiah likely, and you see what he does last night against the Cowboys. He tortures them. And so, that was a John Harbock move, loved up, they knew exactly what they were getting. A big time tight end. Esquilmore Jackson. How he feels about Isaiah likely. And John Harbock last night with Malik neighbors. Malik neighbors on Saturday changed the plans and had his family not come to the game. He thought he wasn't going to play. So it was a great weekend for the gomblers and not so much the books. And then yes, we have another one tonight. I believe it goes live later this afternoon, where we have the running backs from tonight. JK Dobbins and then obviously K nine Kenneth Walker, two score touchdowns, boosted a plus six hundred or we feeling good about ourselves. And okay, that'll be a live at five, I believe, on draft Kings, boosted a plus six hundred. It could be a grand and pond game tonight, which is kind of what we are hoping for and maybe even expecting a little bit. How do you expect this evening to go? Obviously, Patrick Mahomes comes back early, then expected Travis Kelsey, obviously wanting to go out in a different way or maybe he's got three to five years left. Still got stone cold, Chris Jones on a defensive side, but Bo Nixon, Sean Payton, only going to get better. What are your thoughts and expectations for this evening? Yeah, I think for Kansas City, I would expect two things to pay attention to that given a chance versus a really good Denver defense. One, do they go under center more? I know that's been a wave in the NFL over the past year. It felt like I haven't watched every game so far, but I think I've seen like 13 or so. Most I've seen teams put quarterbacks under center in maybe eight years. So well, Kansas City do that because it's not who they are. I think that'll help this offensive line versus a good front. I think they can create in the only way is to create explosive plays from the under center, play action, change the launch point for Patrick. A little bit how Buffalo did for Josh Allen versus a good line defensive line. And then I think, well, Andy Reed and Eric BNME be a very similar version of Kyle Shanahan against the Rams. I think we saw the Rams see nine different screens, nine Kansas City's always been a screen team. They haven't been as good the past couple of years. Offensive line is not good enough against this defensive line to just line up and play. You got to keep them off balance. And so if they do that, I think they have a shot Denver's defense is fantastic. Sir Tan will cover the go to person off formation. So who's going to be that second and third option to win? And then Kansas City's defense, how well do the rookies play Peter Woods, Mansoor Delain, Armason Thomas. Those are three rookies on that defense that got a play at a high level versus a very complete Denver offense. So I've got concerns how they can protect Patrick Mahomes. That's the starting point. Okay. Their favorite by two and a half at home. Patrick Mahomes has never lost the Denver. What are you expecting for weather here? It's been hot as hell. I feel like I've been sweating for three weeks. It doesn't feel that hot outside at home. It doesn't. It actually feels pretty good. It feels like a perfect day. It's okay right now. Chris. While also doing all the Caleb Williams shit on top of that, is this the dream that everybody was having whenever we match these two together? And how much further can we go because Caleb Williams was not satisfied at all seemingly? Yeah. You see Caleb make throws that just guys can't make this throw to commit is insane. You can't throw. That's good coverage. You cannot throw the ball better. The one going to his left in the scramble mode. This is insane as well. The fact that he can throw it that quickly on the move to his left. And then the in timing, the in time stuff, he had multiple throws where they were kind of creating levels, short and high. And he played on time and efficient. So like you're seeing that combination of the efficient pass game, which we've wanted with the plus plus playmaking. I will say this. So that was awesome. That Carolina Panther's defensive tape is putrid. Wow. He's got his notes over here. Loan coverage, cousin motion, blown coverage, cousin motion, blown coverage, cousin motion, blown coverage, cousin motion, you let him, you lost, contain, you lost, contain, you lost, contain. We saw it last night in Dallas multiple times, just basic motions, just causing total chaos for a defense. So I don't think Carolina's by themselves. We saw it in the Chargers game as well. So I think the defenses as a whole across the NFL really struggled with adjusting to and handling motion. Chicago was great. The end timing stuff and the plus plus stuff was awesome. Okay. There's a compliment. The Panther's defense was putrid in seven or eight times when it comes to handling certain situations. Well, people are going to say that Chicago, our Chicago Bears defense potentially not great either with how much the panthers put up, but that was kind of the story of the weekend is how many points? There's a chance for a record to be broke tonight here on this particular field. Excited for that. I'm not the only one of those questions for you six, six, seven, six, eight. Oh, yeah. Geez, Louise. DeeBot has a question for you back. You know, you are the authority on quarterbacks and I have a quarterback at the C.A.A. guy, Jackson Dart. He just talked about Dallas defense and look, they did not play great. He is. You know. Oh, don't act like you don't know. You got the roll of decks in that no point. That was a good guy who left too right. But our Dart Dart was in total control, full control. Matt and I got the great job of having prepared Greg Roman to run game. What was your takeaway with Jackson Dart's performance last night? Yeah, the fastest he's played with his eyes since he came into the NFL. We saw some of the quarterback designed, Ron, I'm shocked that Dallas wasn't prepared for that. And that situation, we've seen that from Lamar and Baltimore with Greg Roman. Fastest his eyes have played in that young career, the likely matchups that were created. I liked that the fact that they got him onto the perimeter, but I think the recognition was a big deal. Part of that was some of those motions, those indicators. But the matchups that allowed him to kind of think clearly and think quickly. I think we're the like really big difference makers. He saw it well. The ball came out well. They created really good kind of easier concepts for him to read. He throws the flat row three times in a row. I mean, this is just a totally busted coverage. It's strictly off motion. So I was very impressed with the way that Jackson played. I was a dark guy coming out and so, you know-- - Yeah, we know. So I think that the way they created some of those matchups by personnel, but because they would put likely and record on the field, what we saw in Baltimore, and it seemed that Dallas constantly just wanted to play nickel to it and they created, they've got neighbors getting covered by linebackers at times. That's a really good field by likely here. So really good offensive line performance as well. Yeah, putting that on his back shoulder. - I like Jackson Dart running still, you know, 'cause there could have been a little bit of a gun shyness especially with how much we were talking about him and that blue tent and when he's hurt, obviously he could potentially not have a full career that we're all expecting. Get neighbors back on the field 'cause John Harbott tackled him during a warm-up, then you get obviously likely seemingly being open all of the time. - Well, think about it like this. They started the game, new era, new regime, new identity, the first play of the game, they put unbalanced, so they take the left tackle, they put them over to the right, they've got record on the field, they've got scataboo on the field and they just run your traditional power play. Just here comes first snap of the game, the first pass of the game is just a hitch to Malik neighbors. So I like the fact that the message was sent from the Giants, like we're gonna be a physical group, this is the first play of the game, we're gonna run the ball right at you and the neighbors is gonna get the first catch of the game and neighbors looks awesome. He looks absolutely outstanding and Isaiah likely could not get covered in matchups. So they look legit, like this is not a fluke, the tape was not a fluke and I would say this too, the Giants defensive line dominated, dominated, one on one's dominated. - Yeah, and they move on from sexy dexie, how are you gonna be able to do it? They do just fine. And then the Dallas Cowboys felt like there was a little bit of momentum, didn't like GP dropping those balls. - Hey, that's not a rule. - Especially on a franchise tag year, bro. Hey, come on, come on. You need to go get your money right now, not that he's not going through for the rest of the year, but that was kind of alarming to me. CD obviously has a good game, but every time Dallas was seemingly getting back in it, we're building Big Moe, we're building Big Moe, the Giants answered, felt like it was some real maturity early in this John Harbor era. - Big time, adult operation, did not beat themselves, very efficient on offense. Quarterback played at a high clip. The defense, every guy, I mean, there's multiple, now there's a lot of penalties, but like that drive is a perfect example of the difference of the teams. He throws the same route to the same player, position wise, three straight times, the Cowboys, and really the same guys, to load the coverage, three straight plays. It's shocking that that would happen, even in week one for me, it's still shocking, but the boredom of making that throw, I think is a sign of growth by Jackson Dart in the offense, and I just didn't look like a fluke. It looked like the Giants can flat out play. - I like that he kept the pain on the face. - I like that. - I like that he got the pain on his face. I like the scatter booze back. I like seemingly that that team has come together around John Harbaugh's tough, hard-knows training camp. Good for the Giants, you guys might be for real, and also fun team to watch. Got dogs across the board. Scataboots, great to see you back. He hits that pile on though, on that back foot. I mean, we need a little better awareness on his back foot. She said I won't do it on a slippy service, and he said there was like a cushiony service. And it's like, well, what about when there's a pile on on the surface, Scataboots? Let's make sure we, yeah. - He just cracks the pile on the head. That's so close. - I don't know, they got cameras in those things. Not that a scatterbook couldn't take that out, but I like where the giants are now. Let's talk about another NFC team, a completely different reaction from the fans. Ty Schmidt has a question for you, Dan Orlovsky. Yeah, Dan, listen, I know it's early, so I don't want to go crazy. But at this point, you know, this shit just keeps happening to the Packers over and over and over and over and over and over and over and over again. And it goes, yeah, and it goes on and on and on and on and on and on and on and on and on and on and on and on and I'm sick of it. Um, who's, who's shoulders do you put this, like how much of this is the floor? Like why can't these guys close out again? They look great for three quarters and then the fourth quarter begins and they just look like they don't know how to play or they're scared or they, I mean, I don't know what it is. The old line obviously didn't look great. But how big of a red flag is this for you for the Packers moving forward? Significant red flag for me. You can't close out games in your offensive line is getting absolutely destroyed. Jordan Love will not make the season if the offensive line is going to play that way. He will not make the year and tied the only way that they, or reason they looked good through the first three quarters. Jordan Love was out of his mind. He made six just outrageous throws against all odds type of situations. Um, that offensive line is, is not, is not going to keep him upright and on the field unless they get a lot better real quickly. That ball's tips, so it's not a big deal. Um, listen, I think it's as undisciplined or performance that we've seen from Matt LaFloor's group. And I love Matt LaFloor. Nine defensive penalties are some of them tick-tacky. Absolutely. I think the interception penalty is absolute dog trash. Yeah. But nine, nine defensive penalties at the end of the day. Like that's way too much, especially you're giving the, I think four of them were either to take the ball away or convert third downs for Minnesota's offense. So, um, I'm way more concerned. I think the defense can clean up the penalties and you're going to catch a break not getting it called the offensive line is not good enough. It was an issue last year. I thought it had been corrected. I know Flores is a lunatic and blitzing all the time. It's got to get better. Okay. So on that note, AJ has a question for you. Yeah. Dana, as a quarterback, when Flores is dialing up like this and we see him compared to the rest of the league, like they, they dial up pressure and they seem to get home very often. I guess as a QB as an offensive coordinator, what do you do? Like, how do you defeat this? A first thing is you have to go first down, second down, first down mentality was you, you have to, you can never think of, well, let's get to third and three, third and four. Good luck. Second thing is you have to have a roll of decks for your protections. So one of the things that I learned from, you know, being around some coaches like Jim Bob Couter was one of them. Uh, Peyton Manning was one of them, not as a coach, but a player is if you think you're going to get to the line of scrimmage versus this defense and you're going to figure out what they're doing in three seconds, change, communicate and get everybody protected. You're dead. I mean, there's seven guys at the line of scrimmage. You're now it's 1317. So Flores has thought is, well, if you throw the ball short, we'll all rally, but he's got seven guys up there. You only have six in protection. So one of them is more than likely going to come free. You got droppers out there. So you can't think that you're going to be perfect. It's like, okay, we're going to run this protection on this third down. This protection on this second down, this protection on third down and this kind of roll the Dexit rather than trying to be perfect because Flores will figure it out. Um, you got to change your launch point. Like we'll get into it. I'm sure I thought one of the great things that Buffalo did yesterday was consistently changed Josh Allen's launch point. Constantly moved where he was throwing the ball from. Green Bay didn't do that. And if you're going to stand there at the same spot against that defense and passing situations, you're dead. Yeah, is that where you ran out of the back of the end zone, uh, not the new one, the old one. Metro down the place of his best route. I got a lot of fans. Very loud. Jordan love was feeling that the whole time, I think, you know, especially that fourth quarter, when that momentum just started piling on, it almost felt inevitable. Didn't know and I want to talk to AJ and Ty who obviously have Packers, uh, AJ's all time leaning tackler for the Packers. Ty's an owner of the Packers. It did start feeling inevitable. There didn't air in front of course that touchdown, Aaron Jones scores that touchdown. And it's like, Oh my God, the Packers are dead. I got 42. Go ahead. No, yeah, I, when they went for it on fourth down and didn't get it, I was like, Oh, shit, they're going to lose this game because it really did. Like up until that point, it kind of felt like everything was going to be okay. And then at this point, like, I didn't think it was going to get us out of, out of hand as it did. But I knew at that point, I was like, Oh, boy, they're going to lose and they did. And the Carson Wentz experience is certainly something now that the Minnesota Vikings are maybe going to ride for the next couple of weeks. JJ Tyler, JJ Tyler, JJ Tyler, JJ Tyler, get this graph. Carson Wentz, the Carson Wentz experience is the real deal. We had a chance to live it whenever he was an Indianapolis Colt. The highs, oh, man, you know, you get up to the top. Kenny Wood, when he's up at Kenny, where you fans revenge and also a steel curtain. He's still currently actually has no puller on it. It's just Pittsburgh steel and it has no puller on it. There's no, you just the steel. It's just momentum, gravity and the steel that it, that makes it so. And I think it goes a how fast to go. I don't want to say another 90 miles an hour. Kilometers. I don't think any of that is accurate. But the Carson Wentz experience both of them. It's fun. Okay. There is always the potential inevitable in you. Carson Wentz's biggest supporter knows that there's a, that's going to come a lot of things. But Kevin O'Connell, potentially perfect for Carson Wentz, and I know last year he didn't, he wasn't on the feed it. But it's like another year in the off season, knowing the Kevin O'Connell offense, probably quite a head start over Kyler whenever it comes to that particular factor. And then whenever you talk about knowing defenses and coverages and things that have happened, Carson Wentz has been there, done that. The guy was in MVP discussions, can Kevin O'Connell make him great all the time? Because that's what we're looking for in Carson Wentz, right? I don't know if you're going to get great all the time anymore from Carson because there is that scattered elements still in his game. But I do think that if they can get him to just play a little bit more calmer, now their defense should help. There's obviously a superstar easy to do that. Yeah. Okay. Are you going to shoot him with a drink? Yeah. Still moments when he plays good, calm, under control football, Hawk mates and big catches, Oliver mates and big patches, catches JJ mates and big catches. So he plays for moments under control and then he has moments. when you're he still has the head scratching play that's probably going to be a part of his game forever. He gets bailed out by some of those penalties that you know take away misthirred down throws or interceptions, but it'll be interesting to see once if Kyler's cleared hopefully he's gonna be okay. What they do I do think it gives you the comfort of he gives us chances to win games and you're not gonna have the disaster that last year was. Yeah he was fun to watch yesterday. He was fun to watch with the coach. He's the first backup since 1950, Fran Thorkenton to come in and have 300 or three touchdowns in no turnovers. Back up quarterbacks don't get a lot of reps with the team obviously. Carson wins doesn't need him because every play is supposed to be a touchdown and he talk about him playing calmer. I don't think so, but that's why he's on top of the roller coaster. Yeah, that ain't calm. That's that's why you're gonna have games that you're going up and then you're gonna have games or moments that you know are gonna hurt you. So it's kind of the style of player that he is right now. I think you're gonna take good enough though. Yeah. I mean you said you said a minute sort of Vikings if if they have average quarterback play. They can contend. Can Carson wins to average quarterback play? Honestly I would tell you it's probably like a three point shooter. If you get there because the the roller coaster that you're talking how long can he stay on the high and avoid those extended lows. Tom Brady or James Winston at any time. It's a lot of moves. It's easy to do in Minnesota to stay at top though. It's a good offensive line. Obviously plenty of people. Talent wise. He's doing all those things. Yeah. I watched him balance a football himself on the ground. He took the ball. What a fell to hell with this thing. What is this a football does down on the ground stands back up. Thursday and triple coverage. You know it's crazy. He used to grab it first time when he was younger. He used to do the whole like I think he had one versus Washington eight years ago type thing where he ducks under the pressure. Yeah. Four defenders are calling right towards me like ducks under it gets out of it makes a play and he's been beat up since then right. The last five years he's just been beat up. He did it again yesterday. It must be like a reaction thing where like two defensive tackles to be running at him. He likes somehow just continues to and he's massive. Yeah. Dan O's remarkable yesterday in Lucas Oil watching the Ravens just absolutely dismantled the Colts. It wasn't even close. I believe. Hey, listen, that is not what I thought this was going to be. No, no, I was about to say Shane Stiking actually had a beautiful first 15. They walked down the field Jonathan Taylor scores the first touchdown of the game. They go up seven of the season. Of the season. Yes, go the first one on any team. Just just wonderful and all of a sudden worth thinking. Hold on. The culture doing the cool dance move. That was right in front of the suite. It was incredible. And then Lamar Jackson and Declan Doyle put 41 on the Colts head. What are they doing offensively schematically that you're seeing that makes you think this will be the best version of Lamar and the Baltimore Ravens. And are you on the same pages? That's where this might be the greatest football team of all time. And they could go 20 and oh, I'm in the cerebral. Yeah. So Declan Doyle was the question mark going into really the year, along with the wide receivers. One, I love the fact that they've gone back to under center motion. The first snap of the game, they get into a condensed splits. Ball fake. Lamar out to his left. Zay flowers runs that beautiful kind of cell. The crosser and come back to the corner out. And it's a perfect throw. I love the zone. I love this. The space that is created for those two players is awesome. The way that they used Zay is very similar to a way that we've seen almost the Rams use Cooper cup back in the day. We saw him line up in the slot. We saw him line up in the stack. We saw him line up in the backfield. I thought Zay's awareness of what the defense was doing was probably the biggest thing. We know he's twitchy and sudden and crazy fast. He has so many clips on that tape of winning. I's back to the quarterback. Getting past the defender. I's back to the quarterback zone sitting in that soft spot. So I love that. We all know Lamar's amazing. But Declan Doyle first time being a play collar. I think the fact that he kind of goes out and attacks that way. It's funny because Anthony Calhoun, Guy and Indy, who's obviously a prominent legend. Yeah. Great. He texted me on Saturday. He's like, what do you think? I was like, they're going to get, they're going to put 40 on the Colts. And he's like, what do you mean? I'm like, they're going to get him. So he smokes Bible. And he just because this offense with Lamar, this offense has always kind of like propped up good quarterbacks to play. But what the hell do you know about this Colts team? What did you know? Well, they're not good enough on the perimeter right now offensively. Alec is not healthy enough. And so your end downs is really good. But downs isn't like that. Go to dominate people. I don't think their defense can match up up front with Baltimore's offensive line in the way that they were going to move Lamar. Geez. Yeah. So and this new new play collar, you didn't know who the play collar was kind of going to be as the game went on. So I think the two biggest takeaways for me are Declan Doyle. And then the defense. I was I'm not shocked that the chargers defense looked that bad on tape. And Baltimore's defense looked that good. I I'd like to tell you that I don't like the way you were talking about the Colts before the game against the Ravens. Okay, because did you not see the first 10 weeks of the season last year? How come you didn't tell me, Hey, maybe it's not going to be exactly like that when the Indianapolis Colts with the number one team in the league had the best offense in the league and everything was going hunky freaking. As you would say, I'm sorry, fudging Dory for the Indianapolis Colts. You said we weren't a good enough up front. We've paid everybody up front. Layout to a lot through the first round draft pick. The forest buckner's been paid. Grover Stewart's been paid. Our entire front has been paid. We paid a lot of sauce gardener outside. We've paid a lot of guys moody on the other side. We've paid we buying them. This is this is supposed to be our this is a very veteran team we have for the Colts. You thought we're going to lose by 40 going into a thing because great play callers minimize great defensive lines. We and I think Declan Doyle going into it. I thought he was going to be really good and he he minimized a good defensive line. I just don't think that you guys are talented enough on the perimeter right now. I think the Michael pitman junior trade is a big deal. You guys. Yeah, I'm not making it was awesome yesterday. Yeah, I wasn't really. I think he's a good player. It's a loss. He was a leading. He's a great player. You don't have anybody offensively to really handle Kyle Hamilton. I was really impressed with Baltimore's defense. Okay. I thought they were doing things very late that made it hard on the offense. Well, good for you to see that before it came because I was walking in there thinking we were just fine. I thought this was going to be the Colts. Remember, we brought everybody back except for Michael Pitman who I did collapse whenever I heard he was traded away from the team because I know we had to make a decision between Pierce and Pitmans. I can't we all work out. Everybody else is able to do Southern cap gymnastics. How come we're not able to do so. It did feel like it was a big loss long season though, Dan. Let's change our tune because the Ravens might be the greatest team to ever play. Now there is some other questions lingering around the NFL tone has a question for you, Dan. Yeah, I do, Dan. Obviously it was against the Browns, but the Browns traditionally have a solid defense. I know it's a new DC and a new coaching staff, but they're normally solid. But what Liam Cohen and Trevor Lawrence did to that Browns defense, it looked like they could literally do anything they wanted. It's kind of like Trevor picked up from last year, the second half of last season. What were your thoughts on the Jaguars and then this season after seeing week one against the Brats? Yeah, remarkable. What confidence does a player that this is the transition from Trevor Lawrence two years ago. He was about as uncomfortable and lacking confidence as you can be. And throughout that season last year with Liam Cohen, you guys remember the bangles moment and then kind of waving them off. And then ever since then, this guy has truly walked on to the field and played like he thinks he's the best part in the field. There is just this arrogance. Almost everyone talks about Josh Allen and arm air against. We're here. starting to see Trevor Lawrence transition into that world. I love the three wide receivers that they have. Parker Washington is phenomenal. I think that catches sick. I think he's becoming one of the best number three wide receivers. That's quotations 'cause he's probably as good as a lot of twos. Wide receivers in the NFL. I think one of the things that was really interesting from a cinematic standpoint and D-Butt and AJ could probably speak to it better than I could tone, but they used so many cool motions to stretch the defense horizontally to then attack kind of the voids in the defense. Some late motions that would like stretch like this one. You stretch people immediately, then watch the release and then the right side of that screen. You see the linebacker who's going for the motion and the nickel kind of run into each other. That's not by mistake. Watch this, watch the linebacker and nickel now. - They're following each other. You see when they stack me and D-Butt actually talked a lot about this before. - They showed today when they stack each other, especially if you're a man-to-man. They're stacking on top of each other. That makes it really difficult because then all of a sudden both are breaking one way or another and you don't know who you are. - You're talking to those offensive guys, right? - Yeah, offensive guys is bottom here stacked. - Yeah, so both defenders, even with zone coverages or man coverages whenever you're matching because we have rules where like, hey, I'm matching final two or I'm matching final three. Right now with this picture, we don't know who the final two or final three is because they're kind of in that two-two train. And then once they break out, it creates that much clearer picture for Trevor Lawrence. And that's when you can really. All right, that's what I see from coaches. Like when coaches can really allow the quarterback's talent to take over. Like you talk about Jackson Dart playing fast with his eyes. Like once you can paint that clear picture and then hey, they could pull the trigger or say, hey, tuck it in, run. So Liam, Liam is really unlocked, Trevor Lawrence. He's been phenomenal. - Yeah, and Liam going into that locker room afterwards with the high. And then him, this offseason, nobody's talking about us. Yeah, we're talking about all this other stuff. Nobody's talking about the Jacksonville Jaguars. I feel like they've been drawn from that off-season as well. What are your projections for the Jacksonville Jags after one week of play? The Browns are a shite, they're saying. So let's not overreact maybe too much, but maybe the Browns aren't? - Absolute shite. Maybe the Jags are just a really good football team as well. - Yeah, I think that the Jaguars have to be a team that we just sit there and say, don't be surprised that they're making a deep January run. They got a coach who's outstanding play call in design wise. It seems like the team loves him. Quarterback is confident. Is any quarterback in the NFL right now? They got three receivers that can flat out go. They got a two tight ends, but one that's really good. They got a good back. This defensive line is hunting. Their defensive coordinator is a budding star in this league. I thought they covered really well on the perimeter as well. So you can watch teams play and be like, yeah, I don't care who the opponent is. You can sit there and say that's the team that is going to be a very difficult team to match up against. This throws outrageous, by the way, so Jacksonville is for real. And Liam Cohen, he's, Liam Cohen's got a little bit of like Ben Johnson to me. A little bit of like, I want to say this in the right way. - No, no, say, go ahead, say what you want to say. - He's got a little bit of like, good and a good way, arrogant prick. - Moxie. - You know, like, yeah. - Yeah, he's got a little bit of edge. - So it's a little bit of, no, it's not me. Spacing lies, past conceptualize. I don't think Jayden saw the field well. - There we go. - Fill it up, he's offensive line. Still not good enough. Atlanta, obviously dealing with a back-of-ported-back situation. Pittsburgh, I don't think it's sustainable. - Well, what's not sustainable? - What do you mean it's not sustainable? - Pittsburgh offensively, I just don't think it's sustainable. It's a lot of still like the, hey, DK, go run the vertical route. If we connect, we'll be okay. If we don't, we're gonna be kind of chasing points. I thought Aaron drifted and made some throws over guys. That was impressive. I talked about Carolina's defense. That's gotta get better. The Chargers offense won way too much pistol, way too much gun. Way too much pistol, way too much gun. Two, I think Justin got locked on to receivers far too often. Meaning just like, I'm only throwing it to this guy because I think he's gonna be open instead of getting to that second indoor third. And that happens in that McDaniel-Shanan system. We've talked about that a little bit of like, the quarterback can become so convicted because they think the play call is so good. And it's worked all eight times that you've rep did in practice that you don't get to that second or third read. So their defense was not good. That was probably the biggest takeaways. How bad they were in the distribution of rotation or pressure's debut, AJ, you know better than me. I think one of the big takeaways with Cincinnati would be Cincinnati won and Joe did not play well. I thought Joe played really slow from that perspective, but winning without your quarterback, especially Burrow playing well, I think is a really positive thing for, now I thought Cincinnati's defense played better than the box score kind of showed as well. So yeah. - All right, so those were who bummed, bummed you out. So it sounds like there's teams bummed you out a little bit. - Chargers bummed me out. 'Cause I was expecting a lot out of McDaniel and Justin and Miss Beer. - Yeah, Jenny from The Rock was there. - Everything that had going on, I was really hoping for a lot there. Especially with Jim Harbott and McDaniel having such a cool post game press conference. Instead, all they're doing is hoeing at home and over here. And all we hear is McDaniel and I have an answer. Dude, I'm telling you, the best receiver that doesn't get talked about in football is Mike Wilson. Marv's got a great go ball catch there, but Mike Wilson's so stinkin' good man, he's so good. So yeah, I think it'll get better for the Chargers, but there's a lot to clean up. There's about as disappointing a tape offense and defense that we had in the league. - They got the worst schedule too, by the way. - They also have the worst schedule. 'Cause that was another thing that people were talking about. I was like, hey, tough loss to the Cardinals, but they're gonna be able to bounce back to everything that you guys were talking about now. And then someone took a screenshot and just kinda showed everyone the next 10 games they have. It is a gauntlet. AJ Hawk, just some quick thoughts on the collapse of the Ohio State Buckeyes at the hands of Archmaning in the Texas Longhorns. It was a hot one down there in Austin. Obviously the day was riddled with magical moments and what Archmaning did in the fourth quarter, some people are gonna call back to as maybe a high-spin moment, even though it was only week two. The boys weren't crazy, Ohio State seemed to be a big gas at the end. I'll tell you what the heat, it was certainly draining. Maybe the Texas boys were used to it. Nonetheless, every play they needed, fourth and sixth, fourth and nine. They wasn't got it, the Buckeyes weren't able to stop it. AJ, the biggest storyline of the weekend is the number one team in the land loses to Texas and becomes the third top 10 team that has lost the Archmaning down at DKR. AJ, quick thoughts on where Ohio State Buckeyes sit right now and how you guys are gonna respond, you think. And as Texas for real this year, it certainly felt like that in the fourth quarter. - Yeah, I think this Texas team looks like they're for real. Arch obviously grew up at a huge second half. It's very disappointing for Ohio State. We all know that. They, so many things had to not go right for them to lose this game by one at the end. So credit to Texas for doing that at home, but the good thing is everything's still out in front of you. If you are on Ohio State, you can go make a run. Maybe this wakes them up early, but credit to this Texas team for winning. You know what, I saw Joel Klatt give his top 10. He, he really saw Ohio State number two. He said, hey, we cannot penalize these coaches for these big games because they will not schedule these huge games in the future. If we drop them out of the top 10 or something for losing in week two, so I like that about it. And I like it, hey, like I say, every time. Just go run the table, if you're on Ohio State, go take care of business and you can still, everything is still in front of you. But yeah, hugely disappointing loss, obviously. I think it's tough. - And Archmaning goes crazy. I like the way he operates. He was just immediately after the game, talking with Miss Laura saying, yeah, it's gonna be a great night in Austin. Yeah, it's gonna be a great night in Austin. It feels like he does have his uncle Manning's idea that being a good teammate is hanging out with the lads. That's obviously a huge deal. And then let's pivot away from Texas, Ohio State and Michigan gets a huge win over Oklahoma. Tony, none of us expected that, is Michigan back? What do we expect from Oklahoma going forward after a huge loss in the big house? - Yeah, I like what we saw here out of Bryce Underwood using their legs. I believe he rushed 18 times on Saturday. Hey, let's do that moving forward. Obviously, Utah coaching staff is used to that. So that looked really good for the offense in the first half. This was a defensive game. I mean, the offense is, they scored some points, but both of these defenses are gonna be really, really good when they come up against other good defenses. I think these offenses are going to struggle with Oklahoma, basically the same team as last year in those regards. I think these teams will be great when their defenses can play great and then their offenses play a complimentary football off of that. - Obviously, Oregon loses the Oklahoma State huge storyline. And now, all eyes are towards Oxford as LSU. This guy balled out of his mind. Oklahoma State brand new out of North Texas. Coach Morris goes up there. Whole new roster, whole new everything. They had one in forever and they knock off Oregon. Home, as he sets sail from about the four yard lines. Love what that team's doing. Now, let's pivot away from college back to Monday night football. So in the late 1950s when my dad founded the American football league and began taking on the national football league, he and the rest of the owners were criticized and they were told, you guys have no chance. Of course, at the end of the day he ended up being successful and forged a merger in 1966 that gave us the NFL that we have today. Can you tell me about the vibes this year as our chairman and CEO, also owner of team? First, maybe last year, which obviously is a little bit disappointing for the squad. - Yeah, well last year clearly was very disappointing. The first year with Andy Reed and a losing record here in Kansas City was something we weren't accustomed to. It was probably highlighted by Patrick's injury with three or so games to go. I think all of us with the Chiefs during this off season really had the bit in our mouth and we're eagerly awaiting for tonight to kick off to the season to get back out there and hopefully show the world that we still have a pretty good team. I know Patrick and Travis and Chris Jones, all those guys are eager to be out there. Andy Reed and his coaching staff, they're very excited to get the season going. Are you anxious? Are you nervous? What's it like? Is it like you're watching your own children? For you as you think about dynasty and obviously history of the game how do you describe this Andy Reed Patrick Mahomes era whenever you're talking about it and what are what do you think is your role in continuing that so that obviously dominance can continue for Kansas City. Yeah well we've been very blessed here in Kansas City to have both Andy Reed and Patrick Mahomes it's very rare that you get the combination of a Hall of Fame coach and a Hall of Fame quarterback and when you do usually good things happen and that's certainly been the case here over the last 10 years with the two of them both here in Kansas City knock on wood hopefully our runs not over you know Patrick still young at 30 years old Tom who you mentioned one a bunch of Super Bowls after age 30 so we're hoping we can get back when it went a few more and at the end of the day hope there's a big debate over who's the greatest of all time. Yeah Mr. Hunt back on Patrick and I guess Andy Reed is well what have you seen as far as the evolution of their relationship and kind of the impact of Patrick's mindset on the franchise as a whole since he's been there. Yeah well I think the big part of our success has been the fact that the two of them work so well together they can literally complete each other's sentences at this point and that that's part of you
