Plus Six Podcast Episode 303 – Round 4 Trade Research

Welcome to the PlotSix Podcast. On this episode we will be discussing round four trade research. This podcast was recorded Tuesday night 11pm, while that was supposed to be the starting time. It's now closer to 1am here in Melbourne, Australia, Eastern, Dallot time. March 31 into April 1, so April 4 is day over here, GIPP for me at the moment. Make necessary adjustments as news comes to hand. West Coast won their second game for the year. Firstly, here you go, but West Coast is the second topic. Going well, Pete. Going better with my team winning 2 in a row, who would have thought? So, yeah, it's a joy to watch and everyone's jumping on the bandwagon, including the Vick Media. We have got a big podcast ahead, so we're going to try and zip through this as quickly as possible. So you guys can prepare for round four. And it's a big week this week, yep. It is moving time in the A5 Fantasy Classic. So let's get stuck into it. First off, a group of players here want to get you to talk about. If any at all, an adult player is injuries or issues a Todd Marshall, expected to miss this week again, through injury, Milan Murdoch, listed at three weeks for West Coast at this stage on their injury list, Jordan Dawson tests. Probably, I would probably say at this stage to play this week, against three men or big game, Adelaide over 4.09, Rory Leard, probably more. The question was, side of things, for this week, for the Crow's Drosh Wall, was limited training there on Tuesdays, so just want to watch out for those who do have Drosh Wall. And he's actually been pretty good to start the year. Chankford Jaff will miss several weeks with a calf injury from Elven, Nick Deitos, was limited at training today. So I didn't think much of it when Craig McCray said he'll be fine, he'll play, but then I've seen the vision, and he was really struggling. So, yep, one to monitor, he'll be on the plane tomorrow, which is Wednesday for me today here, and yeah, we'll get that team selection in there for his issues, but I'm expecting him to play. That is Nick Deitos, and his brother, Drosh Deitos, was limited with a shoulder injury in Q1 last week, spent several minutes off the ground being assessed, comes back on and hits a high-selling top game, so it was good result there for Deitos. And Devin Robertson suspended for one week, thoughts on any one of those. Well, yeah, the new poster boy for Fantasy, Nick Deitos, she was, I'd say, get up, I think, you know, with Colin Wood want to setting up their season, big game like this, I think they see Brisbane with their injuries as a possible win, and yeah, they want Nick to play. So, even if he's 85%, he'll still play. But yeah, I suppose Jordan Dawson's the other one, I'm monitoring just from a future trading point of view, because I see him as a top fantasy mid, and yeah, Todd Marshalline is really unlucky with that one, because he's cheap to, too cheap to sort of trade out, you're probably just looping with the other bench player, and yeah, that one's a bit tough. I'll probably do a couple this weekend over Easter, so look out for those and that over competitions. Jeff, next question here, what was your thought process behind your rear three trades? Well, first it was just to get rid of the engine players, I mean, a lot of us had Rosie and Tracker, although Tracker, the news came out today that he easily said one to three weeks, I didn't want to muck around with that, so I floated them, and then from a positive point of view, I just, well, from the point's point of view, I think I should say, is just one of the lock-ins and really shooer pre-mose, and it was more, yep, not value and all of that, get all that, but it was just to lock-ins in future captain picks, not the next week or two, but I took Nick's VC of 140, so two nicks are better than one, and then there's a few future rounds in the next month where I would VC one of them too, so yeah, it wasn't just about locking in some keeper pre-mose, it was more about captain choices and matchups that we're incoming, and yeah, pretty happy with the first round of return from both day cost brothers, and I've got plenty of cash to play with again this week, yeah, my did exactly the same trades, Nick did us, Josh did us last week, and a lot of the same losses, you just one of those high selling scores, so let's get on to the next area here, yep, five areas of focus for our classic teams right now. So yeah, the most important one is still maintaining cash chain, and that's not necessarily through the rooks, probably McCurches, the name that's popped up, he's the chance really, if that half-backer roll stays the way it is, even though he had 30% CBAs, he sort of stepped it up a gear, loved the way Claco was talking to him at quarter time, but he's one that could earn some cash, so yeah, the rooks aren't really jumping off the trees at the moment, what can scares me with wines coming back in, what's his role, you know, we assume we'll already get drops, so there's Watkins play a little really low tug in the midfield probably, and then yeah, Lindsay was great against Porter, he comes back into the team, he is today star, which is out for two months, that ticks a box, but Lindsay's job security, and look, I think you just got to stay in the team doesn't he, so, but again, what's Josh's ceiling, Josh had a pretty, well, Josh Lindsay had a pretty good game, and still on his squad 62, for a 300 game player, yeah, it might be a slower burn than we'd probably like, but yeah, I'm looking at maintaining cash gen through other avenues other than rooks, and Riley Bice is another name with that, bit like the Kertcher, I could actually do both this week, I've been thinking about it. Number two, not getting stuck with deadwood on my team, so, Jack Carroll, that is probably going to get drops, anticipating parish, yet just not upstanded looks lost, probably going to have one more chance at it, and then definitely get dropped, or you might even be dropped this week, so I don't want to get stuck with deadwood on my bench, because I've already got my line, Murdoch, see him with his high break even as sort of a loop player, but what's the challenges now Pete is, I don't want to get stuck with Carroll and Murdoch, and then have a four straight with Carroll next week, and then not being able to upgrade to a decent target in for round five, so just conscious of that. Number three, planning for my team, four round five, and making sure I'm happy with the rooks on field. Now this is a big one Pete, being sort of formatting my team, laying it out of how I want it to play out, four round five and round six. A lot can happen in two weeks, so after that, who knows, but yeah, just making sure I'm really happy with the primas that have got the mid prices are all sick in the box, getting rid of the deadwood and the rooks on field will be able to deliver if, if called upon, so that's really important. Number four, it's ridding mid season by balance, so for primas I'm bringing in, just making sure there is by balance with those primas. That can be an art of thought for some coaches, and the last one here is making sure I've got the primas for the soft matchups, so round five, Bayley Smith plays West Coast, round six sheezers, got the Tigers, round seven, Nick Day Cossas got the bombers, so just making sure I tick those boxes for VC and C options, and that effects who I bring in, so yeah, my five areas of focus here, first one here, opposition matchups are crucial, you just mentioned a couple of those there, second point here, for me carefully plan out and execute trades based on cash growth to maximize team value. Third point here, it's still early, but mid season by structure maintain an eye on your balance, especially for those players on an early buy throughout the mid season. Fourth point here, avoiding players returning or have recently turned from entry to play, so there's a potential there for limited time on ground percentage, and the final one here, targeting appropriate players to cash down to, it's great to cash down to a 230k player, but if they're in that team and they have limited cash growth, that is going to hurt you in a long run, so we've got a few players on the radar, Sullivan-Robie mentioned to your pre-pod, even for your players this week, next week or next couple of weeks, what's your time on ground percentage going to look like? Is there someone else that we can target for the short term and potentially hit on him later on, thought on to any one of those, well yeah, there's a few of us on a similar boat with some of your points, but yeah, your last point is this, yeah, limited time for rooks is an issue, and yeah, I can relate to Robie, but yeah, we've got to try avoid those sort of picks or we'd be patient with them, because there is an additive bandage with Robie being a DPP and then when he does heat time or heat tug, the returns will be there. Yeah, and his scoring rate could be pretty decent straight off, so yeah, there could be a bit of risk in selecting him, but the reward is that he could be in for the rest of the season and actually it's called "Quad Ok". But he did have a very limited pre-season with a back stress issue. Jeff, the next question here, thoughts on spending up right now to premium options? What are you thinking here? Yeah, I just feel like this season is a little bit different to others. With the way the money is moving. So the magic number is dropping rapidly because we're not seeing those really low green and red best scores. And that's affecting the price that numbers and things are just changing very, very rapidly. So if you miss a jack steal this week, if you're an on-owner, I think he's priced about 105, 106 then next week he could be priced at 110. So it is changing faster than we're sort of used to, but at the same time, my early strategy here is to lock in with the style of play these defenders. I still feel like points are in defence with the mark kick game. And then the transition mids, so the day costs the Bayley Smiths of the world, the Budders, the Walsh, who I'm looking for with their style of play. And I feel like they're going to be topping their lines. And, you know, is Bayley Smith going to cost me his price at 120 odd? He scored 130, what was it, Pete? Against Hawthorne in the pre-limb last year, 139 against Hawkes in the pre-limb last year. And then he's got West Coast the week after. So just trying to hit on some ceiling scores, even though it comes at a price, because I'm going to back in the next wave of rookies that I don't feel have come in yet. So, news today again, Jacob Newton for West Coast is got a foot fraction. Now, not many people would think of that, but there is a potential to reshuffle the team and get Finn McCrayon. I don't think it will happen, but there is a chance it could happen. They've missing a week with suspensions, you know, just show them where go on ball and just someone else play a half-fulled role. So, there's injuries is occurring, you know, team depth is being tested. And I feel like we're going to have the options this week, next week, week after, etc. So, yeah, I don't mind spending up on premiums right now. And, yeah, sort of my attitude is, okay, yeah, I'm overpaying, say, 10 points or 10 average points, whatever it is. I'm actually okay with that, if I feel very confident. They're top in their line and they're hungry for the ball. So Nick Day Costa, man, is a football. Yeah, Colby McCurture, this last week, wanted the ball in his hands, lucky ashes, another one I can think of that absolutely gives it to his teammates when they don't kick it to him. Yeah, they're the players that we want to lock in early and know that we're going to get the return of the ceiling school, maybe not the return, but the ceiling school's out of them. Yeah, my thoughts here, and both you and I did not start Jack's deal. His first game were actually quite content, but his last two games have put a decision in front of your face to decide whether the trading mean or not. For me, I don't even think it's a decision anymore. It's a trade in. And it's made based on salary-spaned value of his current price, combined with his scoring output, which has been high ceiling. So I'm doing Jack's deal into my team this week. And it's just the second to retrain that I'm going to work out, we'll get into those later in the pod. But when it's time to try to play you in, it's just execute that trade thought to your chip. And again, if you're anticipating around, so if it is Bayley spent this week, you're anticipating the next month of 44 him and hoping for 110 plus at each one of those rounds. So even though his price at 120, I'm okay with 110 plus return out of him, because it's really hard to turn up in fantasy at the moment. Like forwards, there's just the end. No one's really putting their hand up. Mids other than day cost. I mean, but it's struggled against West Coast on Sunday. So I wouldn't be a betting man to say but it was going to score 86 against West Coast before the round started. So it is hard to get these ceiling scores out of our primos these days. So find the runs that you're happy with, get those primos in. Anything I would suggest is have a little bit of cash at bank if you can. To give you more options the week after and that's when I say a little bit of cash, I'm, you know, about 80 to 100 grand. I think he's gives you a little bit more flexibility for next week's trades. Top 25 ownership on grand only. We'll hit the rucks first, Jeff, Locklam, McGandrew, 88% interesting is Rolly O'Brien an option this week against fair mental or see how teams let you go this week. Max gone 32% Luke Jackson, 24% interest in cherry 20. Darcy Cameron unfortunate for the only here, 4% Oscar Cene comes into the team and actually plays okay. Cameron sits a lot out of CBA. So high impact there and Tom the currently 4% thoughts on any one of those. Well, yeah, that's it. Darcy Cameron, I just needed to trade this week. There's no doubt about it. It's a, that's a rapid loss of cash that's incoming. So I've got to get off that train. But yeah, English and McGandrew seem like the popular picks at the moment. Defenders Jackson clear 88% Sam grill 88% Dan Houston 64. Locky Ash 56 on a buy this way Josh Degos 56. Linsy at 44% Dan's or go 36% against the makepiles this week could have a pretty decent game. Klingley's considering a stack of unconscious remarks not as many as this one. But their plays right in the hands of Dan's or go lucky blackest in there at 28%. Actually scored okay last week. Jaden sure 28% targets considering the most inside 50 so far this season. So himself, like trainer was actually pretty sold last week. Just type of players, my benefit from Tigers giving up a stack of inside 50s. To opposition teams in the final one, he Calla Winter finally seen a pretty decent score out of him. Had a huge third quarter against a blues on Sunday afternoon. He's a 24% thought he jet on any one of those. Yeah, good to see Windsor give owners some return and sort of kick stuck. His cash gain as well. So hopefully that continues. But yeah, like I said earlier, the points are in defense. So if you're hitting Prangamos, you want to hit him defense and around lighter. Me too. Jager Smith 100% Zake but is 92%. 30 is buzz on the weekend, but yeah, just under 90 points he scored. He was at 92%. Jack still 92% strong ownership at the top of AFL fantasy classic. So it's time to make a decision on him to join the group or fade. But fade seems a little bit dangerous at this stage. I would think Tom will rise at 84% 10 a.m. 80% captain knocked to the face last week. Was limited for Tom on grand is growing. Yeah, Port was quite poor. It's a big week for me. Scoring point of view this week against the Hawks on Monday afternoon where the conditions look fine. So hopefully you can have a pretty decent score to get his break even lower this week. Nick DeGos 76% will and does more 64% jet both you and I didn't start will and does not and he's one player we're lucky into my team. But then a look at my bench and it's just full of growth. So not sure which player would take out for him right now. But yeah, bit of not upset but a bit of a more that I didn't actually select him in on my bench to start with again 64% calipso on 40%. Jack Watkins 32% another solid score for him last week. Sam was 24% playing against kangaroos this week and the kangaroos having given up many fantasy points, especially high ceiling top games. Looked Davis, Unickeys at 20% daughter chip. Any one of those broad list. That's the start but with Jack Steel, I was thinking about this watching the game. He's gone from being on a home ground a marvel to a home ground of mcg. Much wider spaces he's getting more marks and obviously the contest. Melbourne is still playing the contest again because they got one of the best rucks in the comp and guess who Max Gorn is first tapped down to. It's Jack Steel. So even though he's got 16 tackles, there is other avenues for steel to constantly score being marks in the first tap to from one of the best rucks in the comp. So yeah, I that was a miss by myself and yourself but can be corrected because I think he's priced at 105 and that probably yeah, what he's going to average from here on in. Onto the forward tier. See, hopefully there's 100%. Again, this is on ground only. Harry Sheeze or 100%. His growing rate is just a lead. Definitely Robertson suspended for this week. 96%. Fortunately, just best AD in this week. But back to full squad next week, Gornwise put up a high ceiling game last week against a Crow is 56% Josh Ress Shelley put up a high ceiling game there as well, which was of the sea, no Jordan Dawson, ranking was paid. and Michelle, who got the chain 44% ownership years, Lock Your Doverston has got some ownership, Chip, on Grand Oning last week, 44% scores just out there, yet Tom and Grand percentage as well. Murphy read 32%, actually don't mind this one, but the scoring is just not there. Finished author 24%, Braden called 20% thought you're, Chip. - Yeah, Murphy, Rick keeps getting burned in transition. I think he's gonna really pump out a big score this week. So owners wait for that one, it's coming. Generally the forwards are pretty common amongst most coaches. So yeah, I wouldn't chance a point of difference in the forward line. It's just so hard and the gap from a mid-price, or to the all rookie to a primo, other than she's all and maybe Myers in that same category is limited where the gap from say a Windsor or no. So a blackest and up to a Josh Day course is far greater, right? The ceiling scores are defense. So my trades are not focused in the forward line at this point. My trades are sort of focused around midfield and defense for that reason. - Notable low break evens, La Moodock. Nameed him here three weeks left for his hamstring injury, minus 37. Think most people are holding Chip. Next one here, Jager Smith minus 28, Locky Jarks. Minus 25, back from a buy this week, Jack Walkins. Again, pretty decent score, last week, minus 22. Locky and Mackenzie, minus 20. So the hope is for those that do have a Mackenzie, are two that there's no role here, Brian. Thought Maley did it okay last week. So hopefully they hold with that and also Tex Walker to be coming back into that team. So there's a possibility of two rooks that are up against three men, but we'll see how team selection goes. Tumble Myers being pretty solid there, Myers 40 and well and Dursma mentioned him earlier. Pretty decent player, Chip. He's gonna be pretty excited for his career, minus six, Josh Lindsay, minus five there. He's got two points on the final quarter, I think it was. It was pretty low last week. Michael Sailwood would be turned to a buy this week, minus four, finish, got that, it's been pretty solid. His break even is minus two. Do you ever know what that's been mentioning merely suspended this week, break given a zero, draw us wrong at two, Oscar's Thin at two as well. His break even is okay, but his time on Grant is limited and he's pretty solid on debut last week, Jacob Farrow. Except this might be one to hit on, I think. I'm pretty solid on him being in that team. I mean, Brad Scott talking up following the game the other day. So on bullish on him staying in the team across half pack, break given a six. So this might be an option for us next week and Sam Grill there at seven thoughts on any one of those. Yeah, all the new blood farries definitely the one to tie. If you were looking for a rook this week, just do it. We all know where S and D are at. And he's got to play it's as simple as that. So yeah, Farrow's the one and I think all the others pretty highly owned. So yeah, Farrow for a new blood and hopefully Roby gets a game soon as well for S and D. That will play as potentially dropping in celery now coming weeks, 120 plus break even or more. And there's a genuine options in the future potentially for us. Humor clogged is at 156. Obviously you've got to wait for him a few weeks, come back in and play and he'll be through the midfield. So hopefully drop the decent amount of celery and we can hit on him in a few weeks there. Jeff Isaac ranking one 33 potential options for the four along. But as we did say last week, it's tagged. Brody Groney another one to keep a keen eye on. For those that did start with make Andrew R2. He's breaking even is at 130. But we'll talk on this in a moment. Jeff, I want you to touch on the third option that every R2 that we should target from make Andrew to whoever. So just touch on that if you can in a sec. Dasey Cameron 130 break even. A juroruck set up is no good for he's scoring at put Tim English 123. Zach Merritt 122 table last week. But if you know Sullivan and moved out of CBA. So no good there. So he's been an issue to own at the moment, especially the opposition teams do target him. Got the balldogs this week. Not really a great match up for him, but he can still get there if the balldogs are blow out, don't care about opposition players taking it and get this to mark. So he's breaking into 122. Tristan Cherry suspended for three weeks. 122 thoughts on any one of those puts touch on your preferred option at the moment. Regardless of price or break even make Andrew to whoever. Yeah, look, I think the club is definitely one I will target in the future. But for the R2, it's got to be grondly still. I know he started slowly. It was ton against Carlton, but then 51 and 88. But West Coast this week, Gold Coast the week after, which is a much harder match up, and then giant spalldogs, Melbourne and North Melbourne when Cherry backed. So it's about looking at way he moves. Like I'll be lucky enough at the game this weekend. Seeing him in the flesh, I'll be watching how he runs and all that. And if he's getting involved still. And yeah, I still think all the sides are pointing to grondy as the R preferred R2 for the rest of the season. Gone for me from a scoring output point of view. But just that's an expensive upgrade. So hopefully, McCandru doesn't get impacted by Jurek set up any time soon. And yeah, gone is going to have to reduce in price as well for two. I mean, yeah, you're paying over 1.2. Yeah, gone is going to get a reality check against big wits this weekend. See how that goes. But then round five has got escended. That could be disastrous for Blackiston. Round six, the lines don't exactly have an accountable rock for numbing 40. He does his job for sure, but I think he would get. Born could literally go on a blitz for the next month after we'd see this round. Name three players to target this week. Yeah, so the first one that is Colby McCurcher, I mean, slightly more time on ground. I think that's building. And it's the heart backroll. This looked a lot more hungry. I peaked so it's probably McCurcher we know. So at his price point, mate, when we're looking for value and, you know, just ticking boxes off softmatch at this week, V. Carton. I like that a lot. Number two, I've got Will Ashcroft's. Just unbelievable game from him first and foremost on the weekend. I thought he was absolutely sensational and arguably got him over the line against the Saints. So yeah, big props to him as an underpriced premium. And then last one, he's actually Justin McAnany for the Sydney. Getting the CBAs, he might come back in, but I doubt it. Making the trip to WA, I think they'll give him another week. And the air McAnany's got a bit more role responsibility this season, even before injuries. I can see him pushing the top six forwards at all, being the sixth forward this season. So yeah, like his price point at this time of the game as well. Yeah, just on the hands, he's expected to play at this stage. So just monitor that one if you're thinking about McAnany, but no error called on for several weeks still. Obviously, why three players here to target Marcus Bonta, Pally, Jack Still or Bally Smith. It will be two of the three this week. I was leaning Bonta, Pally and Steel. I think Steel is the constant, but now I'm leaning into Steel and Bally Smith. So it is big spend. It is cashing in some chips this week. We'll see how that plays out. And again, paying high up in salary doesn't always work, especially this part of the season, which is still early. But it's just these high ceiling games, Jep. You're actually going to have to have him in your squad. If you're going to compete, so I just need to add a couple more this week. The reason probably a little bit concerned with Bonta, it's great matchup this week. But again, if the bomb is a trailing by 10 goals at half time, Bonta is at 60 to 70 to half time. Potential for management in the second half of that game finishes with the 80, 85 new spend all that money. Yeah, and the other one on Bally Smith, no James Borg will last a couple of games. So and he can now we play it inside mid. We know Bally Smith can sit on the outside. So he went just take a ball, turned it over, no, no tend really going to him from a tail point of view. Same as Jack Steel, so I'm probably only on steel and Bally Smith. This week thoughts on those trades, Jep. Well, yeah, you've got the cash right. So there's big money there. As long as you're planning your trade for the next couple of weeks, and you you feel like you can hit the targets in the next couple of weeks, then I'm okay with it. But yeah, but like I said, you could shoot yourself in the foot. You know, not in the short term, but definitely in the long term, especially if new blood of rookies don't come in and we're not consistently topping up on with our cash gain of new rooks. So it's it is a bit of a high risk, mate. Yeah, for sure. And five solid mids in my team at this stage, executing those trades. And that adds Jage Smith at the sixth and Tenant Brew on the currently at the seventh. So there's still some more to be done. Hopefully Brew and Squirrels get there this week and Smith and we're actually really comfortable just playing each week. And yeah, just monitoring that eight one and with mode, okay, as you mentioned earlier, just looping that screw in. That's okay for a couple of weeks, but yeah, obviously that's the next gap to fill up is a M8. And that's a big deal. based on if Bruin actually goes okay. Or a jet part of the podcast, your favorite part of the podcast as well. Going to do listening requests. We've got 39 this week, Jep. So it's a heavy log or dislike. I actually be going to be a bit controversial and say dislike, other than Essendon, he's got probably two tags coming in Hawthorne and Jelong. So I would wait on Bont. Holy boy, don't mind it, but I'm not defensive actually okay at this stage. But from the point of view, just a selection, I think it's not bad. I do like this one. He's priced at 71, 688K and he's gone what 187 is last. So he did score 65 against Carlton, but I'm hoping with only with Wakley that they're the main distributors off heartback and he's scoring continue and he can give us really cashed in while scoring some healthy points. Next one, he does a Cameron, it's exit seat time. Hit that button, get the hell out of there, dislike. Yeah, dislike must trade. He won, can match up against small forwards at times, so he's going to be a limiting role, so he's going to limit his scoring output, dislike. Yeah, he's a lockdown defender, isn't he? So getting ball is his secondary thought, so yeah, dislike too. Jack Carroll is break even, he's getting up there. He's got to buy this week. Let's see that this week potentially next week. He can hold for one more when he comes back, but yeah, it's almost time to go for Jack Carroll, so dislike. Be he will be dropped think, so yeah, I'm a dislike as well. Because I pick it, interesting one here, now cotton to our strap, doesn't remember the mid-take on the weekend and those midfield and CBAs opened right up and pickets numbers were certainly quite good in the scoring rate as well against Carlton and they just let him go. So no real lockdown from opposition teams, he's got the goal coasts sons this week, interesting to see if they do target him for a bit of a shutdown lockdown type role, the mid doesn't usually tag against opposition teams, so picket is a dangerous threat, that is for sure. But he's midfield time, I think it's going to be quite solid, Steven King was quite delicious as well, so I'm actually going to say, like here, a scoring will be volatile at times, but if you're here to ceiling game, it will be there, yep. Yeah, so maybe what a new coach can do, right? So I think our attitude of his eyes is going to be different and he was the match winner, albeit he can't play Carlton every week. So goal coast this week, but then Eston and another hard match up against Brisbane, then another soft one against Richmond, so hard, soft, hard, soft, then swans and eagles after that. Next one he will Ashcroft, this is a light, Brisbane high-ranked test of my team and he'll be a part of it. So yep, this is a big light. Yeah, I'm a huge light, even with McClugget's out. So I just think it's time for him to step up his game, get a bit more license and I saw that against St. Kilda, especially in the second half. So yeah, I, yeah, big light and is that 981 K is that underpriced premium for this season anyway, so yeah, I like Ashcroft and I may do it myself this week. Next one he advices, this one is very sneaky. The underlying inside mid that will pretty much always be an end so I've made this season for the board dogs. This is a light for me, probably just a tear below the high premium topscrewers, but he can get there on a very good day in optimal conditions. So this one is a light for me. Yeah, one of my favourite players to watch, mate. I almost started with that directions in my team. He was going to be my little pod for the year, but didn't chance it in the end. Too many round three players at the time, so yeah, I like it. I just think he's a phenomenal footballer. Like we always say this, like you want that second player that's never going to get the tag. So the Andrew Brasial was wrong in the tag and Bonn, obviously, Ed Richards did get tagged a few times last year, I must say, but generally he avoids the tag and you get that second top two mid in the team and yeah, just a great football, so big light. Next player here, Ojza Kenny. I'm not tagging in players here returning from injury, especially with the fifth in the chain introduction fully 2026 season. I always a potential for low time on Grand Prix and each. Even though I think this will be competitive game, he's time on Grand Prix and he should be solid, but I'm not just going to go there this year on injury players returning just like. Yeah, I agree with you, but I think it's silly to trade in the player coming off an injury. They've got to be ease back. So yeah, just like. It's one here, look Jackson. That's right in the middle of what do you do with the Jackson now? So yeah, I think it's almost time to upgrade, but obviously you probably have multiple issues to deal with as a priority over him. So it's probably a hold for the interim, but looking for an alternate option in the coming weeks, that's probably where I set up the Jackson ship. Yeah, for me, it's a dislike until DP please come in. You might get mid status, not that that changes much, but I'm just going to wait for the DPPs. I don't think we're losing anything. McCandru, V Jackson, the gap's not big enough to be concerned over. Next one here, Josh Wall, limited training as I mentioned earlier in the podcast. It's had a couple of years, last couple of weeks, but he's been solid in defense for Adelaide. I'll just be a little bit worried with this for this week and just see here you know, but he's been quite solid. Just look for me at the stage to love Josh Wall, they could change next week. Yeah, dislike for me too, given what, yeah, this injury news, so you can't get there. James is always a potential for volatile screwing, so I'm just not going to get there with this lead dislike. Oh, God, this is tempting, Pete. Again, this sort of past of my eye during the Sunday night when I normally do my first deep dive and he's 897,000. Super cheap, we know he's got a ceiling school, but yeah, he can get tagged from time to time. And I wouldn't surprise me, Jolong put someone on in this week mate. So for that reason, for this week, anyway, it's a dissliked. Next one here, Tom Stewart, but they were the pretty strong school last week. So it's almost a green light for me and Tom Stewart to nail it to like. Oh, another tough one. Yeah, it has to actually be alike weirdly. There's just going to, something's going to happen during the season they're going to get managed. We both know that, or we all know that. So it just comes in high risk, but he's so cheap and he can hit a score or so, yeah, like. Next one here, Nick Degos. Yeah, it's interesting if you don't have him. You're probably just going to have to trade him in and match everyone else's other type of lead aboard. Or if you don't take him this week and he puts up a dollar high ceiling game, you're going to have to either chase it down to trade him in or you're going to have to trade him for a stack of those season ships. So it's decision time for those who don't own Nick Degos. So for the point of view, you probably need Degos in your team to win overall title this year, I would think it's a like. So that's probably where I stand. Well, I know I trade him last week, but all this injury news, or not injury, but if he's not moving well, he wouldn't trade in today. I would just say, yeah, I would just wait and see how he's moving before, before, before trading into anything with the news surrounding him today and yesterday. Yeah, probably even look at when they run through the benches and just running through pregame. If everything's fine, if he's running around OK, then it can still target him this week. If you play he met Kennedy for a good match up this week against the bombers, another one like Edvigius Jett, this one could actually go off for several weeks. And the boarddogs that look like they can ever pretty sell it season and can make it up the best of times in optimal condition. So I don't mind. I probably ain't going to go there. So I do like it, but that's it. This like I won't do it. Yeah, now, not when I target, especially his right is 1.04, 2 mil. So not for me. Next one here, Bally Smith, high selling time player, I do like to be. Yep, I like it too. I like his next month of footy and what he's produced against those teams last year. So yeah, big like even at his price point. Next one here, Josh Lindy. So it's still a pretty decent salary. I would say this is a target, yes. So like, oh yeah, it has to be a like. It was great. Obviously quite in the last quarter, but goal assists, you know, setting up play, cutting up zones is playing. Hopefully he doesn't get dropped. It was just perplexing why he got dropped in round two. But yeah, he proved why he should be in the team. So it'll be like next one here, Dylan. or he's an option, but you're probably going to feel a little bit of trouble scoring at times throughout the season. But he's a lot for me. I don't mind it. Oh, he's a huge light. Break air into 66, 818K. And although he's not getting the CBAs, again, we talk about the modern game, Pete, and transition. He's like a transition half-order, not a transition med. So yeah, he's going to score. He's going to get up there with these scores. So yeah, big light. Actually, when he took Miller, does it forward a lot throughout games, push up into stopperages, in general play, and helps with ball transition. Be interesting if he does get the EPP, Jip as a forward. He could be an option. Maybe this is one they reconsider in a couple of weeks, but as a mid is a dislike for me. Oh, look, I think the listeners anticipating the forward status and trying to jump on a bit early, which I can relate to, right? You're trying to add value to your team as smart as possible, especially with the soft matchup against Melbourne this week. So yeah, Miller's CBA has been really low. He had 9% CBAs around 0, 24, and 13, and round two. So you would think he is in line for forward status. We've seen coaches get better than this before, but I'm OK with this risk because having him in the forward line and getting him at a better price is what the game's about. So yeah, especially with the soft matchup against Melbourne and still no route is going to be high. Well, the extra mid-fuelter starting from our forwards, so yeah, I like it. Next one here, Josh Richelli. It's a lock-in-tool. It's not locked for me, which is quite weird to say. But once you're screwing up, it's up there and if that maintains, obviously you're not doing it and you're about it. But the trade-in target could be potential risk there, I would say. I still like the pick. So that's where I'm going to sit. He still thinks he's valid. So it's a big like. Average in 94, and he's still priced at 751. I mean, he just played his best game. Probably for the club. He was best for the crows against still on. At GMHBA, which is not an easy ground to play on. Break even a 33. Like, yeah, he's got to jump on that. So big like. Next one here, Grime Myers. You're going to have to pay up for this one. So if you're willing to spend, it's a pretty decent average you're going to get into your team. So and they can get there with a high ceiling game in optimal conditions. It is a tough matchup however this week. So I'm not going to do Myers this week. I might look at him in future weeks to come. So it's alike, but you are spinning up. Yeah, it's alike for me, too. Even just regarding the matchup, it would be, he's still thinking he's the top six forward. So yeah, ceiling scores. He's already had 220 plus scores, peaked for the season in three games. So you have to that that's almost priceless in your forward line, isn't it? So yeah, big like. Next one here, Colby McEurcher. He's very right now. Good decent role as a valor for him. And hopefully that holds. So this is a like. Yeah, like for me, too. Just a mac and only look at the lie. Puts his volatile scoring, but this one could be as neat. You won over the next few weeks. It's a lot for me. Yeah, big like. I just think he's got a minifibre all. And he's got the hunger for the ball. He's probably heavily underrated by most in the AFL circles. So never going to get attention that he's got a license from Dean. So I like it. Max gone to like this peak and probably a target for plenty over the coming weeks. And his body is pretty distant. So it's a good option there if you can afford to get to him. Yeah, not for me this week, but I get it. I just I have a concerns I was spending that much for Max. He some harder matchups coming. So yeah, just like for now. Next one here Jack Watkins. He's been pretty solid. Yep. We both don't have him. But his screwing that's been pretty solid. He's break even still solid. So if you need to go there this week, I don't mind it. Potential role change or limited role time on grand percentage all that possibility, but still you play it until it doesn't work. He's breaking even as strong. So I'm going to like it from that point of view. Yeah, Tigers this week. Another soft matchup with ports. Good early run. Yeah, I'm not trading into it. I think for one OK, there's a bit much and just roll shift with lines. I actually didn't think he was that good against West Coast. Butchered the ball. Didn't really win it at contest. I thought I thought he sort of got butters as well the clearance player. So yeah, just jury's out a bit for me on Watkins. So I'm going to avoid, but obviously for an older you holding. Next one here, Wayne Miller. Probably going to sit on this lock on this one now. Yeah, it's it's yeah, it's a big dislike. I really think owners. Well, with lead with a car injury today could be more buoyant. So I would actually hold this week, but you're almost looking to trade this. It's a bit of a disastrous pick in the end. But in fairness, probably worth the risk of how it was panning out and how it was looking. So unfortunately, he doesn't always work out. Yeah, dislike. Next one here, Marcus Windhager. Seems a better, pretty tough start of the season and they could be impacting Windhager scores. For me, it's time to go this slide. Oh, I just can see and go back like Ross the boss strategising over the break and coming up with new plans, but he's just gets shifted in the midfield when they suck at the clearances. So yeah, it was the intent was Windhager was getting the free ball half back and that's not happening. So that's the way this like and a trade. Actually, I'm here. Tom Sparrow Melbourne did see a bounce in CBA's last week. No, I'll stop through the midfield in a taking role, but that could be activated any week, which will impact your scores. So volatility, this like you for me. Yeah, the volatility is the right word. He scored 27 feet in round one and I know that because I've got him in one of my draft leagues and it has burned to be whole. So yeah, 114 B-Carton with ICDA numbers. He's obviously got the toughness and been around a bit and provides a bit of grunt, but like you said, I think week to week we don't have what the midfield mix is for Melbourne. So dislike. Next one here, Jack Locotius, Port Adelaide. Half forward pushing up the ground for Connector to inside 50s. Can score in optimal conditions, but we'll have volatility in his growing output. This like you for me. I can move behind the ball though with the injuries at Port Adelaide. So look at 640 grand as a forward and we're sort of looking for these value mids. It's a big risk, but yeah, I don't think I can do it. I think it's a dislike. Next one here, Bailey Dale. Just like for this time of the year, we'll see how we go later in the year on Bailey Dale. The reason is for me personally, Locotius, actually, my team, I don't want two of them. So dislike. Just like for now, until he bottoms out, I think he's 859 grand, but he's got a break even a hundred thirding. I know he's got a lesson in this week, but yeah, let's just, he's got a prove to us before we bring him in and I haven't really seen the hunger from him. So dislike. Yeah, he could be 150 this week. No doubt about it. It can't sit in there and they're un-cooked, that's the marks they are conceding. Next play here, Braden Cook. Getting it up there in price break even is still okay at this day. So it is a hold. I don't think it's a trade in at this day's chip. Pete had one good quarter of 40 odd and then they had like 15, 12 and another 15 and the other three quarters. So that wing roll is volatile with scoring with a word at the moment, volatile. So I'm just wary of Cook and I'm actually wary of starting him around five. He's one I do not want to start on field in round five. It scares me even though he's got Carlton on the Thursday night of gathering around him round five. It's just we don't know what we're going to get week to week and saying that I wouldn't trade him in. That's for sure. 483 grand you missed the boat but if you're holding on the bench somewhere and hoping for some more cash then. Next play here Todd Marshall said to me this week so it's not an option. I still think it's a whole put it on the bench and use it as loop. Yeah, a group of you mate. Next one here Max Holmes. I prefer belly Smith with his high ceiling. The higher top ceiling I would say. I would say so to like. No, it's a lot for me too. I still think Max Holmes and Ray Smith are both top eight mids so like on both insane that Max is slightly cheaper so makes sense to go Max first, doesn't it? Next one here, Drollfrasia. This one is very similar. He obviously a little bit so long with a hamstring injury. I think it was about two to four weeks in the injury list today for the ball rocks. He should get a bump in the CPAs there. We know he's pretty much turning into a very, very good player. This one could hit over the next few weeks. especially what he can do and where we can russet him in our squad's jet. So for me, this one is an actual like. I just like for me so many hours to feed in the Bulldogs midfield. He played the game with his life against Adelaide, kick three goals and on a particular score, but then finish on 106. So that's not what I'm after for a ceiling type player. You know, he's still cheap, 743 K, but which comes to shove even though you do pretty well against us in this week. It's not one long term for me. Next one here, Caddy and common playing a little bit of mix behind the ball and also forward to the ball, pushing up to general play and assisting with ball transition, hitting targets inside 450. And it's got a pretty elite kick. So I think that is his role for the interim. But his growing rate could be volatile from that point of view. But this is one still to monitor. It's not behind the ball. Halfbacks match that role. This one will be a monitor over the coming weeks because he could be in a pretty decent position to score while even with his current role. So this is a wait and see for me on killing common. So it gets hard, though, mate. So breaking in 35. And I think you're hoping for DPP with Coleman because we got so many defender options. And that comes with rest too. So with that, I'm a dislike. I don't think you can take that punt. Yeah, just with the other defender options, we got around the place at the minute. Next one here, Shae Bolton has seen a bump in CBOs over the last couple of weeks. No Hayden Young in the team. I think when the Hayden Young does return, it's going to be a limited time. My grand percentage until he's fully fit. So we can increase his playing time for three men. I think that role for Shae Bolton is actually pretty decent. I would think probably 50 or 60% CBAs, even when Young returns. Reed will go in there for a mix of CBAs as well. I think this is a pretty good option. But I'm not going to commit to selecting him, but I wouldn't be surprised if he turns out to be a pretty good pick, so it's a dislike for me. But I don't mind it, yet. No, I'm just like, so okay, two great games against Melbourne and Richmond. Soft matchups, 110, 912, but tough and matchup against the Long Scores of 62. You know, he's got Adelaide this week, Colleen with next week, then West Coast, who I can see them parking off the on him or someone like that. Bo Allen, even in Carlton as well after that dog. So yeah, his floor scores essentially just scare me out of it. So dislike next one. And he were going to go to Fino Sullivan through the midfielder is playing a tagging roller at times. But he's a two way top player, similar to Josh Stuncly. He's a younger type version. This one is to monitor still to low salary. No, for me at this point, let's see how he goes against the blues. He might become an option in the coming weeks. Jep said this like to me at this stage, but certainly monitoring him. No, I just like for me, you can't do it for fantasies, not hit those boxes yet, but I love him as a player. Absolutely love him as a player. Yeah, dislike for fantasy. Next one here, no, Anderson Melbourne this week. They could actually targeting. All right, monitor it. But generally we're thinking he's going to hit those high selling top scores on a regular basis. I don't think so. You're probably playing for 100 average. And that's probably what you're going to get. So that's probably where I sit. Having said that, I still like the peak. Yeah, unfortunately hasn't given us the ceiling scores or owners of ceiling scores. So yeah, the old stroke. Yeah, I think he's definitely going to him this week. Personally, we've no route and he's a may man captain, the leader of all of that. So yeah, dislike for me on Anderson. Next one here, Sam Walsh. Don't mind the pick. Probably going to be leading Francis's scorer for the blues this year, what I think. So it's a lot for me. Yeah, like me, so I still think top eight mid. Transition mid, even though thin, I was Sullivan probably goes to him this week, but nevertheless, I think Walsh will yeah persist on and do well for owners. So yeah, it's a like on or for to hit a ren for Organize your teams round five, which sounds funny. So sort of plan your starting team for round five and make sure you organize and make sure Yeah, those lesser likes and the roots that will be only starting on your field in round five are doable. If not, make plans now. For me to Thursday to Monday's late this week. So prepare accordingly Monday's teams, I think coming up some day afternoon.
