And then the school bus episode was when we had the whole cast of Overcompensating, except for you and Adam, because you chose not to come to Coachella. In our reasons, we're different. I have committed to a friend's pilot. You guys, I like can't watch my baby's fight. It's like I'm right back on set. Just kidding. I love it. No, we're actually close. No, I know the cast like does truly get along. And I would love to know from the public what everyone thinks our different relationships are, because I'm sure it's different than what you think. But we're not going to walk you into like conversations where you would feel like you said something wrong either. I always have that people. It's like, you know, I'm enjoying myself. And then they go, what do you think about the Kardashians? And I'm like, aren't we talking about a show? Like, are you really going to do this to me right now? That's a really good example. You know what I mean? I'm like, oh. And what I think is, I have a fatter ass. I did a podcast recently where I specifically said before we started, I do not want to talk about my dating life. And it was the entire podcast. And I was freaking out. And I was like, I don't remember. I said, jeans are passed down from the beginning. Jeans are passed down. Don't get me started on all of the different American ads. I'm sorry. But like something's really going on. If you guys catch me wrapping myself in a fucking American flag for anything coming up, I want you to call in. Who do we call? Probably ICE. And I'd rather them take me than the people they are taking. We would just call you, I think, at that point. Call me and go, hey, did you notice the flag you're wrapping around your body? And Mary Beth and I, I think, actually got closer post set. We had one scene together in the finale. That's the thing. But I always knew I was like, that's a really smart bitch. The one scene is, do we have any chasers? No, that's the second scene. Oh, the first scene is, I'm disabled. And Mary Beth is, panic attack. Because I hear Tatiana Del Rey. And everyone has a panic attack different on screen. And I literally wish I could watch all of my friends see what they choose to do, panic attack on screen. Mary Beth did a phenomenal job. It is kind of a thing where it's like, has a panic attack. What does that mean to me? But mine is like, I cry a lot during them. And I get really red and like, like lose breath. And I have to be like moving. Yes. I didn't know what they were growing up. And I had them so often. But then I had to like, not have them. Because people are like, you're killing the vibe. And so then what I started doing, there was like this one phase where I was like, going to school in North Florida for like, just one semester. I was like, not okay. And every day on the ride to school, I would hold my chest in the steering wheel. And so I started doing it. And then I saw a therapist for the first time. And I was like, so this is kind of how I drive. And she was like, I think you're having kind of panic attacks. And I was like, I don't think I could drive in a panic attack, bitch. And she's like, you're not supposed to. She's like, my favorite movies are this. And I was like, you're not my therapist anymore. You're not supposed to say that to me. It's that really special moment that happens when you like grow up and you realize that no one ever tells kids like, if you're feeling this, this is normal. So I'm like sitting at Pirates of the Caribbean. And I'm like, if I don't finish my frozen Coke slushie, my mom's going to be dead when I get home. And like, that's going through my head. And then I'm like, that's just how, that's how everyone's thinking that, right? And I would say that at school and everyone's like, the fuck, Benny? We'll just say, okay, quick disclaimer. We're about to talk about if there's a kid in the car. No, that's not the disclaimer. I mean, disclaimers, we're about to talk about Santa. So if you have kids in the car. And I saw mama kissing Santa Claus. I saw mama doing some unbelievably goddamn unholy things to Santa. They're also sexy. I know Santa. Baby is like, I can't wait to perform that at your wedding, at your coronation. I would love a song like that at my wedding. I'm ready though. I'm ready to get married. Well, I want to do Boy Lesk at your wedding. So I'm in like a very. I've never heard that phrase. Yeah, it's called Boy Lesk. What? No, I hope. No, it exists. And I'll have tassels on my nipples and it's me in a, and I do fever. No, I see you kind of already seen me do it. I do. When you touch me, fever when you're home. It's a courthouse wedding. No, we're going to put, we're going to put that before. We're going to mix and match. So it's. Yeah, we kind of remix all the episodes. I know no one tells you. I was talking to you the other day. Did you guys believe in Santa for actually a chunk of time or not? Because that to me was like something that when I found out he wasn't real, I was like, magic isn't real. And then I was like, and people lie to me, you know? Yeah, it is quite a, that's quite a bomb. I remember my dad would dress up as Santa for like various houses. And one time he got a little lazy at ours. Yeah, he would like dress up as Santa. Like very performative. So then you're like, it's mine unrecognizably? I mean, my dad had a wig before I did. Wait, I understand that can be shocking. And then you think, oh, what else are they lying about? Well, my dad came in and he was like, he had tousled hair. And I was like, dad, was that just you? It was very, was that just you, motherfucker? Like, I was like, dad? And he's like, yeah. And I was like, whoa. Okay. And then for a couple of days, it's very me that I was like, okay, yeah. I've been buying stuff this whole time. Also, it's why I think I'd be a bad, a beard. It's why I'd be a bad parent. How are you going to see Nadi again? My last thing on Santa is it really hurt. And I will say that's when all. All my world started crumbling. And it was like, so the tooth fairy too. And then I will say the Easter bunny, my parents didn't sell him that well. There was not one day where I thought a gigantic bunny was running around. The other ones we thought. And hey, what a sad life. I know. I mean, I guess I was sad, but also like, I don't know. To believe that, it's like, you would see them at the zoo. Like, you know, I think you would come across the animal. You would see them at the zoo. You would, there wouldn't be a huge bunny that they wouldn't put in a cage. Like, if there were huge, like, you know, that's what we do with stuff. Something is cool. We cage it. I do remember at school, though. I said, like, so Jesus isn't real either. And that's when all the teachers went, whoa, whoa, whoa, champ. Let's take it back a notch. You know, I'm like, yeah, I'm like, well, if one plus one equals two. I know. They're like, they're like, and Jesus won't be coming down here anytime soon. Interesting. I know. I started adding up like that, too. No, I remember visually looking out the window when I asked my dad. He's like, I don't want to lie to you. And I remember watching, like, the tear fall down. No. Because I remember just being so like, we're going to have to rework a lot of stuff. Yeah. It's tough. What day was this Christmas Eve? It was us going to like a Christmas party. My mom bailed, per usual, mentally ill. I get it, girl. I love you to death. And it was me, my dad, and my sister were going to like one of his work parties. And yeah, it happened there. And then I remember like a little bit after is when I heard about Elizabeth Smart. And I was like, I'm actually glad I heard about that after because I remember being like, it was, I was like, okay, a guy can't come down your chimney safely. Like, if he comes in the house, it's going to be scary. And then I heard about Elizabeth Smart. And I was like, it's definitely not real. We are the children of Elizabeth Smart era. He came down her chimney? No, but he went in like her window. He was working at the house. And I know too much about this. Me too. She looked a lot like. Oh, God. I literally. She should have been known as a kid. Childhood is so fucking weird. No, I know. Because I remember the day I got picked up from soccer practice. And it was like, they found Elizabeth Smart. It was. Like, I remember that moment. It's so. People are going to tell me I'm wrong. They're going to be like, eight and a half. No, they won't because your bronies rock. Oh, shout out to the bronies. Y'all have been so welcoming to me. I just want to say. They love you so much. We're a community. I really love her. We love them. I'm curious how. Can I ask y'all on your own podcast? Totally. We're an open book wherever you want to go. i'm like worst memory to date no i've got a few talk about it oh i'm curious because i've always been very nervous about forming like a specific fan base off of like who i am because i'm so nervous of letting them down or something even though that's yeah do you guys like feel like like how often are you thinking of what their reaction will be or do you not think about it very much are you guys listening this is annoying no no a lot of the time i think a lot of the time i feel like we've created enough of a safe place for both us to make mistakes have conversations about it and for them to as well if somebody said something on like the reddit or in the comments and it was like you know i feel like there's a conversation where it feels a little less trying to like catch each other or be mad at each other so i don't know i feel like it's like a warm fan base yeah yeah but i think also it's it's good for us to think about how we're going to be perceived by them because i do think they have like good judgment and they have high standards for us and i like that because then we hold ourselves to a high standard too it's like we don't want to disappoint them we don't want to upset them and we don't want to punch down so i feel like that's been really good to have fans that we would hang out with like sometimes i think about people who've gone really far in one direction of like their fans and it's like austin texas austin texas exactly hey can we just keep austin weird by the way now that you brought it up would we want to and it's like yes and so i want to and i think we both are really careful because we just want to like make them laugh and make them happy not put them in a weird position to have to like defend us in the future like we are going to make mistakes and so you will yeah well i definitely will and as a woman i should be put to death whenever that does happen and as a woman we'll make sure and be loud about it at that point it's ride with penny drama it's a little different the show's a little different no i i agree it's i think how i will feel also if we get to do season two of overcompensating there's a group of people who have they're like an expectation and excited i'm like happy to both deliver to them surprise them and also probably let them down in some ways and at the end of they make something that feels true and honest to me like i think that that feels like what it feels like to make well that's why i ask because for me like i've done a lot of healing from my codependency which used to be like all my worth came from my friends loving me the most and it would be like you want to stay true to your art as well and not just be like i'm only giving them what they want and so i think that for season two that makes so much sense to think about that which we should news though but you do i mean you're like that i think that's the sad part is being like oh this thing happened like i'm so bummed yeah but marybeth makes everything funny i know it blows my mind i told her that she was like when we hosted a show she was like the worst mood possible he went backstage she was like don't want to do it and then literally went up there and i was like so so funny loves everyone so much and i just blows my mind because i feel like i'm either really silly goofy or i'll be like i'm completely shut down no but i i you for me i've been through so much emotional trauma like since i've been a comedian usually at the hands of straight men and so i've just gotten used to performing under duress where i'm like oh i'm gonna cry i cried the minute up to the second it's like katie perry getting the text oh my god divorce before her biggest show of the tour part of me it was brazil it was brazil yeah and what about with russell brand russell brand texted her while she was on tour with teenage dream and said i want a divorce she had to go and perform wipes her eyes and now what's going on well i'll tell you this yeah something is going on which is yesterday two things happened that were alarming one i was driving and a bird was coming pretty low to the car and i was like that's totally fine it's a bird so it's very end times well i was like it will obviously continue on flight right i jam smack into the bird okay and i'm a vegetarian so Even though you're seeing me laughing, I want everyone to know, like, I don't think it's funny, but what did happen was it didn't die. So that was like definitely off. I like that you went Pixar because to me it's horror film. And then the next thing is like you go in the bathroom and Mary Bess bashing your head against them. Yeah. Then I'm having like, I was like, you know what? Okay. So I don't get much touch, but touch is my love language. But like, ever since I had like, like four loves in a row, I was just like, you know, what if I don't do that again? And so I like, don't get as much touch as I need. And I'm like busy and getting work done. But then my therapist is like, you have to get a massage sometimes. I'm like, you're already expensive, you know? But I do. So yesterday I went to get a massage, right? And I've been having like, kind of some stomach pain, not contagious, but I have noticed it where I'm just like, okay, whatever. Well, I could say TMI, but I don't want to, but it's not even about poop. It's much more like something is wrong where I'm like, I'll get my period. Multiple times I went to a doctor for it once and he told me every once a month an egg drops, but sometimes instead of dropping, it will pop. And then I accepted that as truth. It happened again. I looked it up. Nowhere to be found. Yeah, I've never heard that. Exactly. So he did like a doctor's soothed tail to me. It's not real. That was Doc Oz. That was a scary doctor. Totally fingered me, found nothing. What a nightmare, right? Okay, we move ahead. We have no choice but to. We have no choice. This was years ago. It just started happening again. So I go, an egg popped, right? Sure. Move along with my day. So I go get a massage yesterday and she's doing everywhere. She gets to my stomach and she's like rubbing in. She's like 50 year old woman or whatever. And she's like, oh no, you know? And she's like, you're really hard right here. I hate. I'm hearing that note. I'm like, I feel like I've let them down or something. I'm like, yeah, I'm tense. No, we got nobody on my stomach too. And I was like, no, I think something is like kind of up. And then she goes, because it kind of hurt for a second. I kind of squatted her hand for a second. I got a reflex, reflex. I just hit it a little. And she goes like this to me. She smacks my hand away and she goes, let me do my job. Which I thought was so funny. So I laughed. So you got assaulted twice yesterday. Once by birds and once by masseuse. So then I laughed out loud. And then, yeah, she like stubbed her finger. So deeply in my belly button and was like going like deep in it. No, she was like, she was like, does that help? No, she was like, let me do my job. And then I was like, she was so deep in it. She was. And then she started going on like a 10 minute thing. She's like, you need to get your blood drawn, all this kind of stuff. And so then I left the massage feeling worse than ever, you know? Yeah. So that's kind of where I'm at today. But my stomach feels a little better today. And then right on the way here, I called my doctor. I called a doctor in LA to be like, hey, so eggs are popping. And my masseuse says that my stomach is like, worse than ever. Yeah. And it was an AI person. And she was like, I'll get you a book. The bird's currently on your windshield. You're trying to get it off with the wipers. And I'm just like, and I'm like, Hollywood, city of dreams. LA's feeling good right now. But other than that, I do feel happy. I love my friends. I love a lot of things. But yesterday had an aura to it for sure. Aura. I said it like this spelled like Rita instead of IU. But it should be turning around. It is. It should be turning around. Have you hit anything with your car? No. An animal? Person? A deer ran into my car once. Yeah. I have five witnesses. The deer. Five witnesses? Were you in a minivan? I was driving. No, I was driving an SUV. School bus. I was driving an SUV and we were going to Vermont and the deer hit the car. And I didn't hit the, the deer ran into the car. It didn't hurt the car? It dinged the car a little bit. Oh, God. It hurt the deer more than it hurt the car. But it was obviously heartbreaking. Yeah. I'm so sorry. It shakes your day a little. For sure. I swerved to miss a raccoon and then I got in a wreck. I got in a full fender bender and then I went to the ACT right after. I left the car there. That was that day. Yeah. Because I had to go to the ACT. Is that your score? Yeah. It was terrible. What was your score? I got a 28. I think it was like 27, 28 because it was just like not. You're saying that's bad? I thought you were going to be higher than that, Mary Beth. I'm not going to lie. I thought you were going to be 32. I got a 23 just to clear the air. Okay. So my sister got a 31 and literally my parents were like, do it again. And when I told them, they were like, you did so good. Yeah. I did good for what I wanted to get, which was a 28. See, here's the thing. You did really good. I just, I'm a, I'm a freak. Like I, I did the SAT until I got perfect on writing. Me too. I did better at SAT. Oh, I didn't do SAT. They made me take SAT class. I was like sitting in the back on Facebook on my phone. I was like poking people. I was giving people Adderall. During the SAT? During the class to be better at SATs. I took an Adderall before it and I still, I just like, I was so insane. I took an Adderall, then had a massive caramel macchiato from Starbucks. It was fucking vibrant. And like a massive egg sandwich. And I'd be like, ready for my SAT. Like I was. Oh, I wouldn't, that wouldn't have sat well with me. I'm like in my Lacoste polo, just being a fucking psychopath. Well, no, because we're trying. Did you struggle to sit still growing up? I still like in a car, in a car, my ankles are at my ears. No, I do too. And it's like funny because they want us to do stimulants. Like that's the answer is stimulants. But then it is like, okay, it helps my brain lock in. But then it's like, I'm still wanting to sort of vibrate around. Same. Adderall's tricky for me though, because it'll be like, I focus on something. And then it's just actually, I'm like, yeah, I organized all my Spotify playlists. It's like, well, we didn't need to do that. We didn't need to do that. That wasn't what it was for. I've been working on this because so they prescribe it to me. I can't, I, you've never, like on season, I was never on it because I can't act on it. But on some of my admin days where it's like, my life is like, look around. This is really scary, whatever. My therapist has like begged me for a long time to do it. And so finally I'll do it. But she said this because I'll say the same thing. I'm like, great. I'm glad that I like, yeah. I'm like, I looked through every. I'm glad I know everything about Nina Garcia. You know, it's like, what? Nina Garcia. Oh, you had to know everything about Nina Garcia. One time I literally just looked at every single belt that was on a website. It was like hundreds of pages on Farfetch. And I'm just like, I'm going to see every belt. I'm like, what if I focus on myself? Hey, that's such a good one. But she was like, you need to literally pop it right when you have it. It's fun. I've never done Adderall. So I love it. I'm on it right now. So I like locked into this locked into the combo. I am. Well, it's just one of those things where I was thinking about it and I was like, of course, I empathize with a ton of trans people and so do all of us and all of our community where I was like, Will Ferrell fans watching this movie. Are going to have like their first one ever and it made me have this thing where it's like, yeah, so many people like do like a fundraiser or do whatever and I'm like, that's all really important, but literally making like a genuinely entertaining film where like you get to watch him like cry about not standing up for her in the right places because like standing up for people takes practice as we know. Yeah, because he doesn't get it right every time and I think that's important for people to see and see that it's like there's discourse. So you actually have to take the top off the water before you drink it. And so I'm going to make a documentary. I'm going to make a documentary. I guess, actually, can you describe it for anyone watching? Will Ferrell and his longtime friend. They were both writers on SNL. And then Harper transitioned much later in life. And she basically wrote an email to everyone that she worked with before she had transitioned to be a woman. Obviously, she knew she was a woman the whole time privately. She wrote it to like everyone she worked with. worked with and stuff and i think a lot of them were like really shocked it's like the bro-y culture of like writers rooms and you know i like i remember in the thing it shows like tim meadows who is now so very supportive but responded it like kind of like bullshitting back like thought it was a bit email yeah and anyways then will was like we've been friends for so long i didn't know this about you and harper loves like dive bars and like small places in the middle of the country which i honestly really do too growing up in the west like i love to get drunk at like a dive bar where you know you're not gonna like get assaulted or something you know and which all of a sudden harper's mind was like am i not i'm probably not safe in these places anymore and so then will was like let's road trip across the country and like go to all these places so you get to actually get goosebumps and have conversations too because i think what's really nice about the level of friendship that they are because obviously you shouldn't just ask any trans person any question that pops into your head they're good friends so it was kind of like an open discourse where will could ask these things of like maybe there are stupid questions that a best friend can ask in a way that they don't know and i think that's a really good thing to do and i think that's a really good thing to do and i think that's a really good thing to do and i think that's another best friend who's just come out of trans but it felt like a very safe space for both people to have an honest conversation totally well because that's the thing is with close friends there are no boundaries i cross every boundary always especially conversationally not like in their room when you're touching people while they're asleep yeah yeah well of course oh my scary grandpa used to always tell stories like that he's like i hid under his bed and scared him in the night and i was like how are we men existing but all this to say yeah i thought it was so beautiful to do that and you could tell that also because will so famous it gave harper safety net to be able to like go into places for the first time as a trans woman visibly and have and like if something scary does happen it's like not only is a really huge famous celebrity cis guy here straight guy but also there's like a camera crew yeah it was big for parents too because it felt very accessible because it was on netflix and will ferrell and will ferrell we watch elf every year and he does this i just wish everyone would watch it and realize that people are human beings but i think that there is something very beautiful about the fact that a lot of those questions again yeah are things that like somebody you know if they're like our parents or somebody who just they didn't grow up with seeing this yes as commonly fortunately as we have so it's also being like seeing someone else ask those questions and be like yes this is a human being and this is his actual friend and like being you know these questions that they're like well i could never ask you know because apparently i'm not woke it's like no we never said that you you can right find a space where it's appropriate to ask the question this being amongst two friends so it makes sense but i think it allowed some of those questions to be answered that unfortunately so many i think people don't ask because they're scared of like fucking up yes we have to be less scared of fucking up we have to be trying right now and also trans people have always existed i think it helped with that too of just like i thought two things from watching it the other day i couldn't believe i hadn't seen it yet i thought one so many people feel helpless and it's really cool to remember other ways we have power within our art you know what i mean of just like literally like yeah that showed someone's story so beautifully that was my ride that was my ride and i like the power i like we are so powerful and i think a lot of people are forgetting their power to change the culture we change culture and i think that that affected the culture it's like just a really amazing piece of work but yeah i think there's something the one that wasn't like yeah that had like fuck biden and stuff flags in it but then they were all really friendly to her that one and meant a lot to me too because it's like yeah biden didn't help a ton of the poor even though trump is one thousand percent worse we're in the most horrible territory ever it like really does speak to like oh a lot of these people who are like brainwashed into supporting trump are not bigots they actually like totally just want to like have money and to support their family yeah have you seen drag queen is paired with someone who like either really wants to express themselves via drag or has had like a child come out and they have like a bad relationship with them it's their like healing hard conversations are in every single episode i can literally only watch like one a night because i just ball yeah it's literally taking me like so long to get through seasons because i'm like i can really only do one a week or a month because it'll be like you know a mom who was terrible to her daughter when she came out so then she does drag and like invites the daughter and it's like the beginning of the healing of their relationship but it's people understanding they're like oh i fucked up so it is that will thing of like I probably have said things to you that really hurt you and much set so then it was like going to the other people that you had to so you read with Carmen's Holmes had to perform the candid campus Couture monologue to a hundred times it became a song to me it yeah I remember when when we finally did it on set it was so I got to be there watching you and it was so disorienting but also so I was like oh my God it's finally on camera but you doing that scene I just remember that was the audition and the best thing ever which I hope you're okay with me saying this say everything thing the first time you send in the Haley thing we just thought it was a slightly too fast yeah you can do that for sure they literally it's not my first time they send it back they were like hey so they're gonna have to same thing slower just a few people couldn't understand what you were saying we're just like just in case when we send this up we want to make sure everyone nobody I would never be mad at that that's always my note it reminded me of when this girl in my high school won most dramatic but then she didn't agree to pose for the photo I still ride for her to this day thus becoming the most dramatic of them all she wouldn't even do the fucking photo it was so major your understanding of Haley as being as fast as possible doing it was so Haley it's like well duh you already had the part at that moment it was incredible well I was watching the tapes last night and I saw like the ones I re like sent after and my note to my team when I was turning them in I was like I know I'm still talking fast but there's no way we can get slower than world it's my favorite thing in the world to get a character that the creator knows so well that then I get to live in because this thing kept happening when people asked me about Haley where they'd be like well everyone knows a Haley and in my head I felt kind of insecure because I was like I'll be honest I didn't because I was hanging out with like a lot of weirdos in college in a different way like Mary Beth and I went through our college photos at our last show and Mary Beth was like you were kind of 14 different people and I was like I guess yeah so hard to see the through line and I was like and none of them were at the sorority right and so and not that Haley is either but it was one of those things where like I didn't have a lot of Haley's and so really where I got Haley was like fully just from the page and like you describing her and then I was able to be like from the page know what else could exist in her brain so I just want to be like Benny created this a magical world that we got to play in and I was like I don't know I don't know I don't know I mean oh my god do you have a favorite scene I have my favorite scene of you and I do think like one of the most gorgeous shots it's really hard but you ripping through the crowd at Charlie I think is one of the greatest like seeing that shot I remember Mary Beth came to me I could not believe my eyes I filmed it on the monitor I was like I was filming you know I was filming throwing up in the basement my close friend was like watching you guys filming like everyone's filming it's like how about you hop in and grab your phone get your phone out I just oh my god I remember seeing that I I let out a witch cackle like my laugh it reached a different octave when I saw you ripping through the crowd that was it looked like you were gonna kill her I was gonna kill Charlie I was blown away by because I remembered being like Charlie I'm a fan of Charlie right and so and I didn't try to connect with her on set in a way other than like professionally because I was just like we only had that quick moment together and I was like but genuinely like pop two got me through a lot you know I'm like there with this person I look up to but then I was like you're not here at all I was like you are Haley and for some reason she actually thinks she can go on stage and I was like I just remember in my head over and over being like your friend literally abandoned you and you're going to make her so fucking jealous because you're gonna be on stage you see it on your face by the way because I was like if I actually acknowledge that that's Charlie and I'm Holmes like I will be too I won't be able to do this and the anger here yourself is literally more want more of this it was so I I need I need way more Haley Grace it literally that scene the dailies and I remember when just like we were going through the script and I remember at the table read I had been waiting so long to hear you say looks like you should see the ghost and when I got to see that that's one of those things where you know in that moment that you've hired all the right people and that everyone you're doing this with is right because of how the camera pans out and you're with the cop and you're there and the makeup is oh my god like Lorna it was so genius and you have that ponytail and the fishnet gloves it's everyone Betty who hasn't slept at all and is working every single second because he loved the scene was like staying and watching monitor and I remember being like so like no Grace is definitely the person who I knew like I knew that girl in college and I was like Mary Beth nailed it so much like that was my favorite part of talking to other people who watch the show in my life is like everyone really connected to a different person but since we're short on time I do want to say my favorite scene yeah wait yeah when I watched it I watched it before alone to make sure I well with my sister which I can feel alone but because I want to make my own impression she wasn't supposed to see it those were private screen yeah you were like you're like bring her in no and I remembered being like I think I'm like like all my scenes which felt really crazy right because that's really rare oh yeah but I think that episode two is coming out of rock bar I knew you're gonna say that also because y'all both know this I found out about losing a friend that day right but who is like also worked in our industry and there was no like I would want me like you know to keep doing the day whatever but it was like so late at night and it was so silly Mary who worked on the show with us the puke rig can I say this the puke so the puke I'm supposed to put my head on the side of this parking meter and the woman is showing me and she's like putting kind of pushing to make the rig work yeah she's gonna shout out of your mouth from that this is me this is me bullying women because I literally was like it should be and I was there because I remember Holmes watching she goes yeah and say that I love that because I go I want it to look like she's like the girl in the exorcist yeah it's projectile is across the street it goes so far and so then the woman whose job it was to sort of be in charge of the vomit comes and goes we're out of vomit and I go that's the one thing we need to not so we used it on all the test ones and then also there was a take where during the test one I didn't know we were shooting when I felt I'm fully gay I'm laughing I'm like I break fully I mean I'm terrible we use you smirking a little which is good I think actually and he would have been like you're gonna show it at this major yeah well yeah because I fell out there and yeah Mary thought I fall again let's keep rolling right yeah but so I fall and then Mary comes up to us and she shows us a bucket of what the puke is and she goes you're gonna put this in your mouth and I go I need you to come back to me and I need you to tell me exactly what's in that bucket she goes back she says something like 99% water and then she's like like turmeric cocoa powder and pee or something like that and she goes is that okay and me and Benny I go not really so no but we'll do it it's so fun actually and it was completely okay and so then for the take that we used that was the only I think we only did it to maybe two times yeah held it in my mouth and so then came out and I just when I watched that more realistic it's more realistic and I just honestly when I watched Haley in that moment I'm like it's just a thing as an actor we were like can I do drunk well and I'm like I really liked how I did that oh when you go really yeah everything worked out that see how everything worked out I went through that I went through that and then you and Nell and Nell was really good at playing back with whatever I did too no the whole cast was just really talented and it really does speak to like how I feel about myself and how I feel about myself and how I feel about because I know I just know behind the scenes things it's not always so easy so I just believe that you fought for everyone in a way that I'm grateful for it I mean easy to yeah easy to be passionate about you guys I also remember Nell when she spins you you're still kind of gyrating so she was trying to kind of hold you somehow she does this thing where she goes hi to me going back in which I'm just like that is so that girl like it was just so I almost cracked again because I was just like hi hi that night to me was perfect and also because my favorite thing about being on set is that it is like camp kind of like I like that we're like up late at night and that like you're allowed to feel so silly goofy and you're like at work well we're doing that Wally's in that car party car well that's one of those things where I you write something in a script and you're like oh my god I I would kind of get embarrassed because I was like I totally forgot that was in it and I think that this is so important to the story and I'm like I just did that to kind of give you you know a vibe it didn't have to be no it didn't have to be that way it didn't have to be that way it's important so this adorable man who like does the car rentals for the show comes up to me and he goes I got you your car and I went what car I'm like what is he talking about and he points to that Nissan because I said I think it'd be funny if it was a Kia Soul and it was green and he goes they did green for you I had it painted and I was like oh my god and then he had lights but it was so but that detail is what makes the show so good in my opinion it was so funny but it was just like one of those things where it was like he had just gone so above and above and then at the end of the episode that was my first cry of the show yeah right am I thinking of the wrong episode that's you guys in parking lot or is that next that's them yeah yeah it's we go to the parking lot that was my first cry of the show because then obviously I cry episode five but I remembered looking at Candice and being like okay so the show's like gonna get us here what do you think of the fan edits what's it like seeing Hayley Marie Matthews live out a lot of things she would have loved all the page six loved her I've had this a few times I think Hayley would be disappointed in me and I think Hayley would be disappointed in me and I think Hayley would be and how little I am like self-promoting and I have hey she would I know yeah I know and I want to say to anyone who doesn't listen to this because I do little press first off I didn't have PR I was a recurring character but second off the truth is that like I do feel overwhelmed when I see so much of my face at once but it makes me so so so 10 times a million so happy to see that I'm making people laugh and that people resonate with Haley I have a hard relationship with like seeing my face so much so it made me really really happy but then I was also like I don't know I didn't know how to interact with it so much it's like this weird thing where like you want to be an actor and a comedian but then like we're in this new generation of time where so much of that is like kind of promoting ourselves so we're used to not be like that so part of it is like PR does stuff I don't PR but then second off is like I think I'm also dressed in like for me now that you guys know me more it's like I'm kind of in full drag so for me sometimes that was a little dysmorphic for me but never in a way where I'm crying or something more in a way of I'm just like it doesn't seem like me but I love it all that to say I love the fan cams they and seeing how it made people laugh so much especially during like yeah the world is so devastating right now and I know we're all doing what we can to help change that but a huge part of that is that we have to like keep laughing and shit and also I know Haley will be for the cause oh of course I mean speak up bitch challenge I know she might be complicit even when she says like silence I'm a little bit like no literally on that she kind of spilled you know and say that no one knows that it was pouring rain during that scene I know one take I know with the tailgate same with tailgate I mean so much of it is like we just oh god we shot so much it makes me so sad because we were shooting a year ago today so my phone is literally like cucking me every day it's like remember this and I'm like yeah it was really fun I know that we can't talk about it too much but I'm just like every single meeting I'm in that is with people in our industry they're like where is it like they're like they're like I just wanted to know it's like that we like the show yeah it was just amazing I wouldn't change a thing and if I wasn't on it it would be my favorite show that's come out like I just know that so intensely I really mean it you're literally so so so funny so talented you did the perfect cast and I want everyone to know I'm obsessed with Haley I love your fan cams and I'm sorry that I don't know how to be a person on social media okay last thing I'm gonna say because we are running low on time Mary Beth's late to something what is it a date or something she's gonna stab me in the gut is it a date say if it's a date yeah I have a date at four yeah she has a date at four in LA but I remember there's one scene that should have happened that we didn't get to do because for time do you remember it was supposed to be you walking in with Zara bags and Benny there and I go hey did you guys get a letter after I kind of have my like manic like where's this letter and I'm actually so glad because we would have had to do 100 takes because I'm supposed to say well I see you at the tailgate later and you go oh you'll see me oh you have the Zara bags I'm just like oh I miss it there's more to come it's gonna happen I hope so well yes nothing official but I feel I feel it in my soul and Haley is gonna Haley will rise again Haley will rise him Haley will rise again bitch bitch what's like what's what would be the perfect look she's mad she's mad I'm not mad I just have dog hair on my leggings I'm trying to do yours as voices you do on them because I like when you do voices Mary Beth is sillier on the pod than she is in day-to-day of course which I think is fun this is this she's very she's very fake when we come no no no no no no get this right get this right she's funny 24 7 but she'll let her like a lot of time and I'm like what is a little
