And it's affecting me because I deserve to be able to do a little typo correction and not have it be like blasted to the world. People are cruel. 100%. What if I thought of a better way to say it, but it's a crush and I'm like, fuck, I could edit it. But like, what's the point? Because then he's going to know I then overthought it. Yeah, he's just like, he is the funniest person alive. And so I was talking to him and we were like, okay, yeah, maybe we'll go to this like event. It was kind of like a gay guy night of sorts. And I was like, we should do this costume velvet goldmine. We'll wear some boas and it'll be fun. And if anything, we'll mine some stuff for the show. And then Kai texts me straight, man. And he's like, we going to panic tonight? I was like, what? And so then he knows stuff. So then I had a chaperone. Yeah. And that not cutting that. And you shouldn't. So Kai comes with us. He's dressed as Tinkerbell. And I spend the night laughing, shooting the shit with Kai. I mean, he's just he's he's just one of those guys. But here's the thing. He makes me laugh. He is definitely a part of the straight guy community that talks about my fitness and my fitness goals a lot. Which I love talking about your body talks about my body a lot. I'll say it. But he's a generational talent. And he's so funny. It's just built different. We got this. You know what I mean? We got this. He's built different. The other night. I'm not kidding. We have crazy. I know. And I love to watch that unfold right before my eyes because I did meet you guys at panic panic room on Saturday. I went out with straight guys without you, which was obviously really scary. Well, you know what? I told you. But I said dinner at six and one too many straight guys. You've lost me. But I'm going to get a spray tan. Sweet. But. Kai did compliment my skin. It's just those little moments where I go. You're just different. You're not like the other girls. You know what he said to me? He goes, you're what a man should look like. I said, Kai. Hi. I got little chills down my back. Oh, my God. And yeah. Yeah. I just I could, you know, I could go on. I can imagine all the people in his DMs. We're only making it worse. Let's just say sometimes you have to make sense of your life. And you think maybe everything I've done up to this point is so that I could meet Kai Newman. You get that? That completely. completely agree all the roads that led me to kai newman i'll hey i'll drive down him again i would do it a thousand times you're gonna dump me for kai yeah so here's the thing kai is to hold them and they're so cute but i am kind of like i you know in a way that if i saw them with jackson i'd be like hey what the fuck's going on here i know so i do want to also just say like kai ain't ours no but we will take him as he is whenever we get him totally and we have respect for the space absolutely and it's like you have to just pay respects to those that were there first it's like every hey can i just say greta teitelman introduced me to jr mendoza i thank her every day of my life you do you text her every single day you have a script that runs and sometimes i know that other people are going to go and they're gonna they're gonna go to daddy and he's gonna get more and more booked yeah and that's what you do you text her every single day you have a script that runs and sometimes i know you want to see people succeed so i guess i would just have to say like thank you for letting us have as much time as you're willing to give and we'll give them right back when we're done so that's what we have to say on that can i say my biggest thing of the past week i know what you're gonna say so i love bees i love everything about them i love honey i love what they do i love pollination i think all of it's fantastic let me eat my lunch outside bees have gotten so aggressive in the past couple years so i am honey it's it seems i said i want honey that's bees that's bees talking about benny drama no i know they find me the second i go outside with my big green stinky salad from goop and i'm trying to eat and i'm just like i'm in the writer's room i just want a little air i just want a little sun on my face i know feet in the sand not gonna happen they swarm me it's the lady gaga wale song looking at looking at looking at me look at that look at how they looking at me eyes all sticky like honey on bees wait but it's just for my lunch though the second i'm done with it you can go about your days here's what i'll say about that because i spent the summer i spent a lot of time at my parents house this summer obviously grieving with my family and i spent some time and dear media i spent i was laying by the pool that's where i find my peace is at my parents pool sometimes i bring my laptop out there even though the screen's reflective and i do a little writing the piece was interrupted by these bees and it was like it didn't matter if i they would they were landing on my book they were swarming my coconut la croix god forbid i had any more slow food out there i mean they're landing on me and so there is something you can do that we found out by accident one time at the pool we left a shot glass that had a little bit of fireball in it it was a massacre there were about 50 dead bees in there i'm not saying i would do that and we learned a lot but i'm just saying there's here i'm saying i wouldn't i'm saying i wouldn't i'm saying i wouldn't do it i wouldn't do it i'm just saying it happened accidentally so just know that in my mind and this is what because i am a lover not a fighter and i would never want to we need bees now more than ever i mean that's what i'm being told yeah is that i wouldn't do that just know that i know a way to fix it and i'm not doing it well i'm talking to them it's like you know how people talk to their dogs like pinky and i have talked at length ad nauseum about all kinds of things oh for sure but going to talk about something that happens at events so when you're at events you meet peers you meet heroes you meet people from every walk of life oh do you i mean i met hillary duff i know it was explosive she's perfect she's actually like my favorite person and you know who else is rita aura and taika waititi and i am not surprised i held that man like i hold kai newman yeah no it was very kind they are delicious i went to this thing alone and i was so nervous and it was it was folk world i mean it was once again it was folk world i just felt so safe in taika waititi's arms and if you don't clip that i mean you're just like what's even the point at this point i know they're having fun and i felt it in every way like i can't stress enough also body tea can we talk about body tea there's so much body tea i've been around such body tea lately here's the problem and this is not about any of the people that you met at that event because this is about an event that i attended yeah sometimes you talk to someone long enough to realize that you don't align with their politics and it's sort of like hate to bring up the simpsons but if anyone is listening with their straight no no let me just please don't really hard really tough it happens sometimes in like doctor's offices or like i don't know oh just anywhere it happened to me in the cayman islands i was in the ocean talking to canadians and they were like really scary what's happening with the mayoral election in new york i what is scary about it yeah yeah nothing scary sorry it's actually not scary and what the one I was like I think I really fuck with the taste and I think I need one right now yeah and if you squeeze a lemon in it the chills down my back when I have that first sip and to get a little caffeine later in the day can I just say electric but then I go to Europa I go to Canada even and diet coke is not as common there as I thought it would be instead it's this crazy little hussy known there's a mcdonald's down the block there's a mcdonald's down the block and he looked at me and goes I coke wow I go let me one up you my good sis and you guys said this all without speaking just looking at each other of course yeah and I'm not kidding like I could have and he would have been like yeah that's what I asked for I got us the biggest coke zeros and then it was like everyone around this sort of coy little look and she still does and i said that's my dog and i said i didn't know if it was a boy or girl i really wanted a girl dog so i emailed back and i said baby four is my top choice so yeah let me know sort of the deets and if that's the one that i can have and they got back to me and it was a girl and she was three pounds and her name at the time was matilda and these photos just like melted my heart so i it was almost like back to school shopping like you go get all the materials that you need for this little creature that's gonna like totally change your life so the day that she came to new york i went to the east village i got her and i've never smelled anything worse than the smell that was coming out of that van because it had 40 dogs in crates in it so i decided to take her immediately up to midtown where my mom was getting her hair cut quickly let me raise you idaho football locker room yeah so i've never smelled some shit yeah yeah so i brought her up to the hair salon we put her in the sink where they wash hair and we we washed her and her skin you could see through her white fur my mom said i think we should name her pinky and so it's pinky in the brain but also pinky was my nickname when i was little my dad used to call me pinky because i only wanted to wear pink so yes i did name my dog after myself and that's some legends only shit i don't want to let me introduce you to my poodle drama drama yeah so pinky wow the first few months were really really hard i mean the first year was hard i was there it was rare crate training potty training in an apartment building just dealing with like the chaos of having a puppy i also had so much paranoia about being a bad dog mom that i would like play with her for too long where she would get so tired and then that's when they start biting you she had razor sharp teeth but i know what type of parent i would be if i had kids because when she pooped in her crate i was like she's just expressing herself crazy you know and i just would i just know i would always defend my kid she's figuring it out she's just like let her fucking do her process yeah but it was really really tough and it was hard sometimes you know especially when we were on set there was one day in particular i believe where she took a shit in my trailer second yeah mp just kind of like within second trailer but to me i think i realized who i was as a parent because i thought that's so cool it was very letting water dry because i just cleaned it up and you didn't you weren't mad well of course it was very cool oh god oh god of course no but i just remember being like yeah i mean my baby girl's comfortable she's with daddy and like i just took a nap so how could i care about anything right now and and having a dog has changed my life in so many ways there there was a lot that i learned on reddit changed my life yeah i mean she's a wonderful dog with this dog yeah she's so fabulous i know but i went on puppy 101 for a bit and i found out about the puppy blues which is where there's like several points in having a puppy where you think you've like totally ruined your through we had some like moments where we had to really dig in on the training aspect and and setting firm boundaries she's still crate trained and i'm really proud of my girl what i also found out is that every dog has behavioral issues most dogs probably 99 and it's just like a roll of the dice which one your dog is going to have so pinky is resource guarding so sometimes she'll get really feisty if there's like food around and there's another dog so we just avoid that stuff but it's really just like managing your dog i also have a nanny for pinky nanny privilege i have so much anxiety and guilt that i am a working mom a single mom and i would never ever equate mom who works two jobs two jobs i have seven jobs and i would never equate having a dog with having kids i'm like dog mom i don't think that they're equally as hard or anything yeah it's very much a she rescued me situation and i'm really glad i got her like so she was old enough when the election happened that she was just a comfort to me and not stressful yeah because like i've really needed that especially this year with everything that's happened to me i'm so glad you have pinky i also i went to pilates that day yeah and that was for pinky of course you know and that was for all the girls out there yeah that i've had to go through some shit like that and just like show up well you're gonna let down your pilates instructor i love her show up i love her yeah and so pinky's really been there for me and i think like she is just so goddamn the face card is lethal face card is crazy she's brawny like she's got these shoulders on her masculine and feminine and now you know why i'm now you know why i'm completely i mean she's got my jaw on the floor but i do this thing all the time and i'm like i'm gonna do this thing all the time and i'm like i'm gonna do this right behind her oh my god i'm talking about my girl i'm talking about my baby girl me and her lately are connecting in a way that's like she's locked in with me well it's very like i'm not the stepdad i'm the dad who stepped up because she's had two dads already and it's like i know and she goes finally this one's gonna stick yeah because she knows and i've been in i mean i'm doing my rotations but i she oh my god we had this terrible night out got home we've already talked about it she gets on my chest and i just start rubbing right behind like i guess it would be on her shoulders her head her neck curls back she goes she puts on a joker smile it's crazy i have a really good picture of her doing a joker smile that i'll finally post she never talked about it i just worked her shoulders and you put her in your shirt sometimes i love putting her in my shirt well it's skin to skin contact you're supposed to do that as a father totally so why wouldn't i so i did think she was going to be six pounds total she is 16 pounds but she flies with me she is i wouldn't want her smaller can i say i thought it would be cool to and we are so similar we really we we are moody we are demanding we want to be scratched and tickled sexual i'll say sexual she's a very she's a lot of energy in that department yeah she does and having something else to take care of it's what i want both love many drama yeah and we're both huge fans get off the guy of the work she's seen the show a lot and so yeah it was it was hard to tell her when my last relationship failed but i just it's it is what it is it's all a part of her story and i think she gets that and just to think about a little puppy on the streets of tijuana that now is a big city dog and she's just living large and like i spoil her because i love her very immersive she was yeah and we played when i brought her home i played hallelujah by jeff buckley and so very cinematic silent it's never a good time to get a dog probably so just just dive in headfirst there's tons of rescues yeah i just i mean i love her so like such an important presence in my life like i'm just so happy and yes everyone so the overalls i did get them for a six pound dog not a 16 pound dog so we are working on getting a different size it's it is what it is at the airport it's like i'm walking around with like mickey mouse you know like everyone wants to pet her and everyone's so happy she's there i think putting in the time early on to make her be a good dog she's not perfect okay when she grows up and hears all this i know it's gonna mean so much to her oh my god i just love her i just love her i just love her no i do too and again i want someone to talk to me how i talk you don't have her here with you right now do you know she's with the she's with the nanny my fabulous god i need her sasha so yeah when i come home with pinky i'm i'm nuzzling in her neck i'm telling her how special she is how much i love her how much she makes my life better i just yeah it would be cool for someone to feel that way about me maybe one day i think so and i feel better i feel like a i'm like i've been through so much trauma yeah and i just need someone that makes me feel safe so i'm not shaking in the corner because that's kind of what it feels like sometimes should we get in a ride or die you
