Piers Morgan Grills Katie Zacharia On White House Exit | With Anthony Scaramucci
43m 11s
Katie Zakaria, a former White House press secretary, shares her experience of serving President Trump for just five days, becoming a global figure after being abruptly fired. She recounts the intense media scrutiny, including attacks on her legal background and public mockery, and defends her loyalty and commitment to Trump’s agenda. Despite the negative coverage, she emphasizes that her motivation was service, not recognition, and that her family, including her children, viewed her role as one of dedication and sacrifice. The interview critiques mainstream media for focusing on personal attacks rather than policy achievements, highlighting the dehumanizing nature of such coverage. A key theme is resilience in the face of public humiliation, with Zakaria asserting her integrity and continuing advocacy for Trump. Her experience is contrasted with that of Anthony Scaramucci, who similarly faced public ridicule, reinforcing the idea that political roles can be volatile and emotionally taxing. The conversation also touches on the broader political landscape ahead of the midterms, with both hosts noting tight electoral races and skepticism toward polling accuracy. Ultimately, Zakaria’s story is one of personal conviction, family loyalty, and resilience, concluding with a message of hope and forward momentum. A separate promotional segment promotes BJ’s Wholesale Club, highlighting savings for families, especially through real-life examples like Coach Hank, who joined the club after becoming a father of 30.
Tammy regularly hauls stuff to her kids at college.
That's why she shops at BJ's Wholesale Club,
saving up to 25% off grocery store prices.
Beef jerky, microwave meals, laundry pods, even they can't screw up.
Have you met my kids?
And with BJ's gas, she gets there for less.

I said, Katie, is this for you, Katie?
Because honestly, you don't need this.
I was on Sean Hannity last night,
and I saw a box in Friends this morning.
She were, you know, in many people's eyes, a bit of a laughingstock.
How did you feel going through it?
Working for President Trump was an incredible gift.
Katie, he did fire you after five days.
This has been litigated and adjudicated.
The president's comments on the White House South Lawn
were what was discussed.
And I'm going to leave it there.
Come on, let's cut the crap here
and have a serious, genuine conversation.
You're sounding like a robot.
Has Donald Trump got some program plugged into you
to make you come out with all this stuff?
I do not sound like a robot to your point.
What I am is trying to continue a conversation
and a forward trajectory.
If we're going to bring somebody in to join us
who knows exactly how it feels
to be fired from the press secretary job,
of course, Anthony Scaramucci, the mooch who joins Uncensored.
Only 37 people in history have held the title
of White House press secretary.
It's a position of significant power and responsibility.
They are the public face of the presidency
and a voice for the 4,000 appointees
who deliver the president's agenda.
The whole world watches when they speak.
Well, two weeks ago, Katie Zakaria stepped up
to the hallowed podium for her first press briefing
as the new press secretary.
The whole world watched.
The whole world was indeed watching.
It's probably fair to say she may now wish they weren't.
Good morning.
Good morning.
I am so honored to work for President Trump
and the American people.
President Trump secured the biggest oil deal
in world history,
delivering the U.S. majority control
of more than 65 billion barrels
of proven oil reserves
in the United States.
in the United States.
He had a historic one-day war.
And now we have a booming economy
and a great relationship
with Venezuela.
So my president,
excuse me, my husband,
that's a good one,
my husband is out here.
So thank you so much.
Well, that 14-minute briefing
during which Katie Zakaria took only three questions
sparked immediate speculation
about her future,
a hostile and unforgiving decision
to be made by the U.S. president.
And the president's office, the ABC Press,
began questioning her record and qualifications,
especially her legal credentials.
A primetime booking of Fox News with Sean Hannity
was expected to be an opportunity to begin a comeback.
But Sean Hannity had other ideas.
Questions about your legal background,
calling yourself a lawyer.
You went to Pepperdine Law School,
but you did not pass the bar exam, correct?
Correct.
Did you ever take the bar exam a second time?
I did not, Sean. Or a third time?
No. You did not? Okay. Well, Katie Zakaria
left her post shortly after that
to become the shortest-serving press secretary in history,
with only five days on the job.
The previous record, previously considered unassailable,
was the 11 days of Anthony Scaramucci
as communications director.
He won't mind me saying he's been milking that ever since
and has done very well for himself while doing so.
So what next for Katie Zakaria?
Well, we can find out because she joins me now
for her Uncensored debut.
Katie, welcome to Uncensored.
Thank you, Piers.
Thank you for having me.
It's great to be here with you.
And I know you're here in Los Angeles right now.
I am indeed here in Los Angeles.
Let me just ask you straight off the top, Katie,
because you were, like, at the center
of this extraordinary firestorm
in which you were, you know, in many people's eyes,
a bit of a laughingstock in that period.
Well, Piers, thank you for giving me
the opportunity to share.
And truly being able to accompany him
through the midterm blitz and a historic midterm blitz
that no other president has done in history
was a once-in-a-lifetime opportunity.
He is a force of nature with these midterms
that I have never seen, and I will never forget it.
And he was an incredible president to serve.
The president's comments on the White House South Lawn
were what was discussed, and I'm going to leave it there.
Well, we can play that clip.
Let's play the clip.
Well, Katie's been treated very badly by the media.
Very, very badly.
Very unfairly, I think.
And I just bumped her about it.
I said, "Katie, is this for you?"
Because, you know, she's been treated very rough.
And she's a nice person.
Very nice person.
I've watched her for years on television.
But I said, "Is this for you, Katie?"
Because, honestly, you don't need this.
You don't have to be treated --
I would say the fake news.
But just generally, the media has been very rough.
She was on Sean Hannity last night.
And Sean was a little bit tough.
And she did -- I saw "Fox & Friends" this morning.
They were -- she's been treated, I would say, pretty nastily.
I mean, I'm curious.
Listen, I've known Donald Trump for 20 years.
And I sort of understand the way he operates and the way he does things.
And in a very, very nice way, he was publicly chucking you under the bus there, wasn't he?
Because he's basically telling the world about telling you, is this really something you want to do?
Because it ain't going well.
Well, Piers, we're less than five days away from the midterms.
President Trump is on the trail.
And as I said earlier, this has been litigated and adjudicated and well spoken about, both in my interview last night with Rob Finnerty, documented in the "Wall Street Journal," and in my piece that I wrote as an op-ed in "The New York Post."
Right.
But we are doing an interview for "Unsensitive."
I mean, why don't you just answer some questions for me?
This has been adjudicated and litigated all throughout the media.
But I think the fact that President Trump, Piers, and working for President Trump ahead of the midterms was an incredible experience.
I think we should be focusing on the work that he's doing and the work he has done for the United States and, quite frankly, around the world.
We should be grateful for the Greenland deal, for instance, that he was able to secure, especially at the northern border of your home country, where he's not going to allow adversaries to have military bases so he can protect the United States and other global interests.
Why aren't we covering that?
Because he's done it for the United States.
in Texas yesterday in his historic $65 billion of 65 billion barrels of oil deal that he made
with Venezuela? Why aren't we covering these wins? Because nobody wants to talk about what
he's actually done for the economy and for the world, for our border security. They all want
to focus on red herring trails. And this is exactly why I'm out here, because I want to
promote exactly what President Trump has done and is doing for the American people,
especially ahead of the midterms.
It sounds like you should be the press secretary.
Pierce, it was exactly why I wanted the job and not necessarily the press secretary role. But my
excitement has always been what President Trump has done for the American people. Look,
I lost friends and family in 2020 for my support of him. I have been a staunch advocate and
supporter of him all throughout my media career. It was always my most exciting topic to be able
to cover everything that he has done. I have four kids. And I decided in 2020, if I didn't fight now
for President Trump, that we would lose the republic. Look, I go back to 2016 and I think
about what would have happened to our country if President Trump had not won and Hillary Clinton
had won, Pierce. This is the type of experience, especially looking at the Supreme Court and the
Supreme Court justices President Trump was able to appoint during those four years. We would have
a completely different country had Hillary Clinton both been president and had the opportunity to
appoint three Supreme Court justices. I don't even know if we'd have a country at this point.
So it has been my obligation and excitement to support him. Katie, I get it. I get it. Katie,
I get it. I'm just not entirely sure you've realized you're no longer the press secretary.
You do realize you're not the press secretary, right?
Well, I'm not living in Washington, Pierce.
I'm out here in California,
and I am still going to continue fighting for President Trump.
He has a very famous line.
No, I know. I've been told that.
I thought you'd be saying that.
I know, but, Katie, look.
Katie, we don't know each other,
although we have mutual friends who speak very highly of you.
I definitely don't want to do any gotcha with you.
I think you've been gotcha'd quite enough
in the last few weeks by the world's media
gorging on the entrails of your five-day career
as press secretary.
But what's interesting to me is, you know,
when Donald Trump said to you,
was this really for you, what did you say back?
Pierce, I will keep private conversations between the president and myself confidential.
I will say that what I'm doing is what I've always wanted to do.
Katie, he made it public.
Our private conversation, you asked what I said.
You asked what I said, Pierce.
That is not what you, that's not what he said on the South Lawn.
You asked what I said.
Katie, Katie, come on.
Katie, he's told the entire world what he said to you.
Pierce, I'm not going to mince words or split hairs over this.
I will not disclose private conversations.
That I've had with the president.
I will keep fighting for him every single day, no matter how hard the media wants to spin.
No matter how hard anchors, pundits, reporters, journals want to spin what he's doing and focus it on me.
I will continue fighting for him.
I am ruthlessly loyal.
I always have been, and I will continue to be, Pierce.
This interview should not be about me.
It should be about the fact that we are less than five days away from the midterms.
And I have been able to experience that with him.
Katie, Katie, Katie, Katie.
The whole point.
The interview was, it was about you.
You know that.
And I know that.
So come on, let's cut the crap here and have a serious, genuine conversation.
I know Donald very well.
I know the president very well.
I'm sure he won't mind me asking how you're feeling, how it went down, all that stuff.
You're not going to be betraying his loyalty.
And when it comes to loyalty, he did fire you after five days.
I mean, that is.
That's what happened.
I mean, he did it very nicely, but he made it clear to the world this wasn't going to last.
You can couch it however you want, Pierce, but I take issue.
I take issue.
I take issue with the way you're couching this and I'm not going to continue relitigating it.
I will not disclose private conversations that I've had with him.
I do not sound like a robot to to your point.
What I am is trying to continue a conversation and a forward trajectory about what President Trump is doing, which you are not wanting to engage in.
Which the media doesn't want to engage in, which they didn't allow me to do my job for those five days because they wanted to make it about me.
This is about President Trump.
President Trump has held the Republican Party's water for over 11 years.
He has held America together for over 11 years.
Even in his off years, he was fighting for this country to sit here and feel sorry for myself, Pierce, about how the media has treated me or what the media has said about me does not take into account what they have ruthlessly done to protect me.
I am not going to continue to serve President Trump. It is not about me. This is not about me. I went to serve the president. I went to serve the president in the best of my capacity and I'm not going to relitigate it. I'm just not.
Fine. The slight flaw in your position, Katie, is that the whole point of this interview was you were going to relitigate it and we were going to go over the details of what happened. If you've changed your mind, that's fine. But that was the whole point of doing the interview. And I watched you on Newsmax last night.
That's not the topics I received, Pierce.
And you did. Well, you did blame the media on your Newsmax interview last night.
That's not the topics I received.
And you did say that, Sean, what did you think you were going to be talking about?
Go ahead. Sorry.
What did you think you were going to be talking about?
Midterms and a brief glance at my time as press secretary.
Okay. Well, can we have the brief glance?
I feel like I encapsulated that.
I was able to travel.
I was able to travel with the president and a historic trip on Marine One, on Air Force One to Alaska, Montana and Arizona.
All were historic rallies.
The rallies were packed, contrary to the Wall Street Journal's reporting that they are dismal attendance.
These people, there are thousands of people lining up to wait to see President Trump speak.
And Pierce, my question is, when was the last, when was Joe Biden's midterm rallies and how packed were they and how did those go?
No one, no one is talking about the fact that President Trump is the only president in history.
That's ever had midterm rallies.
And I was able to attend at this 250 year mark with the most consequential president in history, these midterm rallies.
Katie, I like Donald Trump very much, as you know.
In fact, ironically, we both got hired by Donald Trump.
I got hired by him on The Celebrity Apprentice.
The only difference is I never got fired by him.
In fact, technically, I'm still his celebrity, still his celebrity apprentice 20 years later.
I don't know what it's like to be fired by him.
The president has been very good to me and I am grateful for serving him.
And I don't have anything negative to say.
And I will continue fighting for him in the media, Pierce, despite the bait, despite the attempt to get me to do it.
I'm not going to do it.
I haven't done it to this point and I'm not going to now.
The focus should be on President Trump, not on me.
I haven't asked you to say anything negative about him at all.
Pierce, you're baiting me and I'm not going to do it.
I'm not going to go for it and I'm not going to speak negatively of him.
I'm not baiting you.
He's been wonderful to me and I'm grateful for the opportunity to have served him in the capacity that I was asked to.
Katie, look, I'm not baiting you.
You've been at the center of a gigantic news story because you became the shortest serving press secretary in the history of American White House.
It made you a global figure and you agreed to come on this show.
I've just checked with my producers.
I don't know exactly what you agreed to talk about.
It's going to be you and what happened and their midterms.
We haven't misled you or misled anybody else.
I'm not here to trap you.
I'm just here to talk to somebody who was in the news, who I've never met.
I don't know you.
And I'm just curious about how it all felt.
You don't have to leave Donald Trump out of it, if you like.
I don't care.
It was all just what happened to you.
When you watch back, for example, the clips from your first and only press conference, what do you feel when you watch that?
Pierce, I am grateful to be here.
I am not going to continue litigating this.
This is over 10 days ago that this happened.
We're five days away from a midterm.
I'm here on a show.
What was told to me was going to be a brief overview of my time as press secretary and then discussing the midterms.
That is what I agreed to come on the show.
And I'm not going to continue having the focus be on me, Pierce.
I am not.
You've literally refused to say a single thing about it.
As I said, the Wall Street Journal encompasses a lot of the questions you've asked.
I wrote an op-ed in the New York Post, and I discussed this on my interview with Rob Finnerty last night on Newsmax.
The irony, of course, is you would be able to defend Donald Trump and laud all his achievements in the run-up to the midterms if you were still at the podium.
As press secretary.
But the reason it's newsworthy and the fact that it's kind of pointless that you're doing it to me is because you were removed from that job.
That's the point.
So I'm not against you being loyal to Donald Trump.
I don't want you to be negative about it.
If you don't want to be negative about it, you can say what you like.
But just doing the stump speech that you would have done defending him from a podium when you're no longer at the podium seems a bit pointless to me, doesn't it?
It does not.
To me, because I was not able to effectively do my job because the media wanted to make it about me, which is why I agreed to come on and be able to talk about the midterms.
And I'm not going to make the focus on me.
I'm going to continue forward to effectuate the positive messaging and the effective wins of the president for the midterm elections, Pierce.
OK, I just want to play.
This is a mashup of what some of the comedians were saying about.
I don't know.
Let's take a look at this.
Good morning.
I'm your new White House press secretary, Katie Zachariah.
Thank you.
Katie, thank you so much for being here.
Good morning.
But it's never mind.
So tell us, how long did you expect to be a White House press secretary?
A very long time.
And how long?
How long did it actually last?
Several days.
So a sentence she was supposed to say was heading into this midterm blitz with a victory.
We're going to win bigger than we ever have before.
But what she said was heading into this midterm blitz with joy and excitement.
So I'm looking forward to working with Trump.
Sorry, I don't know why I laughed.
And we welcome new press secretary Katie Zachariah.
And we bid a fond farewell to.
Press secretary Katie Zachariah.
I mean, they were brutal, but they were going to be brutal, I guess.
You didn't really laugh watching it back there.
I mean, can you.
Has it been long enough yet for you to laugh at it and see the funny side or not really?
The people's approval or disapproval criticism.
Or praise peers didn't really move me.
I didn't take the job to become famous.
I didn't take the job for any other reason than to serve President Trump in the best capacity that I could.
So whether it's a critic who doesn't count, as Teddy Roosevelt has said,
or someone who's praising me for at least taking the job and understanding what that platform is,
that didn't shake me.
I was focused on the job that I had to do.
Thankfully, the week that I was press secretary, I was able to focus on the incredible midterm rallies.
And the. once-in-a-lifetime opportunity of traveling with president trump on a historic air force one and
also on marine one and it was an amazing amazing experience and i'm not going to let any of those
comedians who mostly are low rate and not that funny and whose shows are dying i'm not going
to let them steer me away from what was a gift what did you feel about the ladies of the view
because i thought they chucked another woman under the bus let's take a look so okay the question is
did you expect her to get canned this fast uh yeah that was a tuesday to a friday that's not
a tenure that's almost a spirit week what was she doing when you've got a panel of women like that
laying into you another woman did you feel that was a bit of a non-sisterhood scenario

knowing what you know
now uh katie about how it all played out would you still have taken the job
absolutely
and would you do it again if you were offered again i mean donald trump might be watching this
and thinking you know what she's got she's got better
that's very nice of you pierce uh listen i will do and what the president has asked i would love to work for him again in a that capacity or another
capacity again he is the most consequential president in history and i have always been
a history buff i have watched what he's done for this country and it will secure the futures of my
children grandchildren and great-grandchildren so if i am asked to serve in even in a capacity
that is not as rewarding perhaps i will absolutely step up to that pierce
well i'm going to make you feel a little bit better now i think because we're going to bring
somebody in to join us who knows exactly how it feels to be uh fired from the press secretary job
we thought when it happened to him it was going to be the record short stint ever uh he was
communications chief he was of course anthony scaramucci the mooch who joins uncensored uh
anthony welcome back to uncensored you've been right where katie is she's been mocked mercilessly
as you were she's been the laughing stock as you were etc etc and yet here you are you've become
exponentially more famous since it happened widely admired and respected you have a hugely
successful podcast you've made a ton of money everyone likes the mooch um tell katie how this
may be this yeah what did you feel when you saw what happened to katie what would you say to her
first of all i'm not i'm not here to be katie's life coach or anything like that but
i give her an a plus on this interview let me let me tell you why i give her an a plus because she's
here and she said something about teddy roosevelt and being in the arena and maybe you haven't been
fired by donald trump but katie and i have been fired by donald trump and the fact that she was
willing to go in the arena and i have said i've stood at that podium that's a that's a that's a
rough place to stand and so katie we don't know each other but i do admire you and what i said
last week or two weeks ago i said i'm not here to be a mooch and i'm not here to be a mooch and
two weeks ago when this thing happened to you you know turn off the media what other people think of
you is none of your business and a lot of those late night comedians are never going to be able
to hold a candle to you or your family or the things that you're going to be able to do in your
life so those are some of the messages pierce that i would have for katie um and and the other thing
is katie just one more thing he was a lot easier on you you see this guy over here or over there
on you that he was as he's laughing because he he was coming at me like a comanche okay he was like
one of those karate fighters in a video game yeah yeah and it was on good morning britain i think
and and it was i mean to be clear to be also he was also lighting me up on twitter katie let me
tell you something about him this sob he was also lighting me up on twitter before i met the guy
and so yeah you were and by the way i don't care i think you're a great guy
i think you're a phenomenal journalist and i admire katie for coming on on center because
it's a it's a hard thing to do and and and katie i you know because you know we've sort of direct
message each other a little bit i didn't mean anything bad about you being on the podium or
shouldn't be there or anything like that i'm just saying it wasn't for me i was just putting you in
my category so if me putting you in my category is a criticism i apologize because that wasn't my
you seem like you're very put together person and have a great family and i wish you nothing but
success but i didn't like the job i can tell you that i didn't like the scrutiny and katie you're
not gonna like me saying this on television but i'm going to say it to you the shots come from
inside in a job like that you know the it's like a horror movie the calls coming from inside the
house you think these people in washington are your friends and they say nice things to you
but then they try to shiv you you know
Donald Trump said something to me, Pierce, that I'll share with you guys, which I still laugh about.
And I can tell you guys that it happened on a Wednesday.
You know how I know?
I was only there for one Wednesday, so I know it was a Wednesday.
And I was in the study.
OK, I was in the study off the Oval Office.
And he said to me, hey, I thought I was a real estate killer.
I thought I was like a billionaire, real estate killer.
And I was going up against killers in New York.
He goes, there are a bunch of babies in New York compared to Washington.
And the president said to me, you know, someone in Washington, stab your eyeball out with an ice pick.
They'll drop it in their dirty martini glass and they'll still talk to you, Pierce.
So, so, Katie, I admire what you've done.
And I and keep going, Katie.
Look, I don't agree on the president.
I've had my piece on the president.
It's a free country.
You like the president.
You don't need to hear from me, but keep going, Katie.
Just be yourself, you know, and you're going to you're going to be fine.
And, you know, by the way, I think you're handling yourself unbelievably well.
Katie, what would you like to say to the mooch?
Well, I would just say that at the end of the week where I was able to sit down with my children who were all in Washington for that week,
as we were planning eventually to move out to Washington, D.C., from the beautiful and warm and wonderful state of California,
I was able to say to my kids, I did the best I could with what I had.
And I served the president in the capacity I knew.
Now, too, and I will never break on my loyalty to him and my character and integrity and walking through that.
I never let them change who I was.
And my kids understand.
I have four of them, 12, 10, 8 and 6.
And my oldest especially said, Mom, I'm very proud of you.
No other mom in the country could have gotten that job based on the hard work that you did.
And there are a lot of people who don't know what it took to get that job and many people who draw assumptions.
But my kids saw the hard work, blood, sweat and tears.
And I'm going to continue to fight for the president because that is what I know I'm called to do.
And that is what my children are called to do.
And my children have seen my character never waver or change based on that call to serve the president.
And we don't have to like the circumstances we're given.
People who go to war are not called to complain about, oh, this is a terrible battlefield, the guns of war are terrible.
No, we are all called to defend our country in certain capacities and different capacities.
And I felt this was my duty to serve my country.
Sometimes it doesn't work out how you hope.
But for at least my immediate family and my children that I hope to inspire that they will fight for their country
and they will defend a president that other people have abandoned.
And that is where I'll leave it on my view for my time with President Trump.
Katie, what did your wider family think about it or your parents, for example?
I mean, Piers, hold on a second, I mean, that's pretty good messaging, Piers.
I mean, come on, give her some credit there.
It's good messaging.
No, no, honestly, I'm not joking when I say if Donald Trump is watching this, he might want her back, right?
I'm actually doing her a favor.
It's good, it's good, it's good messaging.
I'd love to answer the question, Piers.
Piers, actually, that's a wonderful question.
I come from a very hard left family.
A lot of those people were abandoned me in 2020.
I was disinvited from events for my vote for President Trump in support of him,
2020 being a more contentious than 2016. And listen, I got phone calls from my family who
are hard left saying they had to turn off the far left comedians, many of whom you showed,
because they could not comprehend how they could be so cruel to someone who was so good,
so kind, the niece they held when they were a baby, that I am still their family. That meant
more to them than their political disposition, of which we have warred over, of which we have
vehemently disagreed over, but that the humanity of it, Pierce, was more important to them.
And so frankly, I thought for my very far left mother, who is a Democrat, she could not watch
the mainstream media. And she called me and she said, CNN was even more compassionate
than some other networks, Katie. And that was hard for her to watch.
So what I did was I called her and I said, I'm going to watch the mainstream media. So what I did was I called her and I said,
What I will say is it actually galvanized support among my family, of whom I have very
different political views, who have not necessarily supported me and my support for
President Trump. But the humanity side of it, they came behind me and were actually disgusted
by the treatment of me in the media. And I know very, for very firm facts that they will
consider that as they view the news and the lens, you know, whether it's the Jimmy Kimmel's or
the comedians or even the kind of far left MSNOW, they were not able to watch that for the entire
week. And that says a lot about our mainstream media and how it dehumanizes people.
You see, you finally got uncensored, Katie. Took a while. But there I started to see the real you,
you see, and I liked it. Right. I think when you sound less robotic and you start
opening up a bit, if you'd said that kind of stuff from the podium, I don't think I think
you'd still be standing there. Right. In other words, I would just loosen up a bit with this
stuff. The Mooch is the classic example. I did rough him up when it happened to him. He was a
laughingstock. We all we all took him on and then he gave it back with bells on. And then we met.
Actually, we met for a pint of beer in England at a pub and we got on famously. And I love the
Mooch. And we've always had a great time since. But, you know, it's a rough and tumble. And by
the way, we don't have to agree on everything. Your job is to deal with them. No, we don't have
to agree on everything. No, we don't. And actually, it's interesting that I think because
did you have the same issue with friends and family when you took the job working for Trump?
Because, you know, he's it is a toxic thing to do. I mean, you know, Katie, Katie will
actually know this. I'm in the Massapequa, Brian Kilmeade, Manhasset area of Long Island.
This is as red as red could be. I've had the other issue when I broke from Trump after he started
attacking my wife. And you've met my wife, Pierce. It was no absolutely no reason for him to go after
my family. You know, my my my family members voted for Trump in 2020. And some of them, believe it
or not, still voted for him in 2024. And that's their right. And so on and so forth. I've had the
opposite thing happen to me that Katie had happened. She went to go work for them and her left
leading family was mad at her. I left Donald Trump and and and.
Withdrew my support. My right leaning family is mad at me. So, you know, but that happens in life.
You know, it's politics. What are you going to do? You know, but he shouldn't have gone after my my
wife. So there's absolutely no reason. I agree. And, you know, she's a civilian and Katie's a
public figure. She took a job that's a public figure. I'm a public figure. You want to attack
me? No problem. But Katie, you know, if we ever get to know each other, I'm not Ted Cruz. I'm more
your line for me. And it'll always be that way. Yeah, quite right, too. Katie, look, as you say,
we did say we talked to you about the midterms and you're going to have a guy sitting here who's
going to have a very different view to you, I think, about what's going to happen. But Polly
Market now say there are 67 percent odds on a Democratic sweep of Congress. So losing both
houses. What do you think is going to happen? Well, not for lack of effort, President
Trump, again, as I've said at length, is working harder than any other president in history on
these midterm elections. And I think the House is a much tighter situation. And I always give a lot
of leniency to a Polly Market, but also to the polls. I have yet to see the polls completely
deliver for on the election results. We have seen this historically in President Trump's term,
though, as you look at each of those individual House races, it is much tighter and a higher
shift on the Senate. I think we have some either either we definitely hold the Senate or it is a
very, very tight or slim majority to the point of maybe a vice president, Vance, being able to tip
one way or the other as the vice president at a dead tie. I think we have some amazing candidates
and they are not getting bolstered enough in the mainstream media or in really by political
pundits. They have focused severely and sincerely on Abdul El-Said.
They have focused severely and sincerely on Abdul Saeed and Tallarico and even Angie Nixon down in Florida rather than Mike Rogers.
I worked on the Michigan race in 2024 for the president.
Mike Rogers ran then.
He's a great candidate, much better than Abdul Saeed.
James Tallarico is kind of a I can't even believe that guy is running for office in the great state of Texas or that any of the Texans that I know would vote for him.
And then on the other hand, Angie Nixon's not a serious candidate.
And I think Ashley Moody absolutely has that race.
I could touch down on all the other ones, Alaska and so forth.
But I do believe it's going to be extremely tight on the Senate and the House is much tougher uphill battle.
OK, Anthony, just on the midterms, I mean, it's looking like a blue wave, but I'm old enough to remember 2016 and the Hillary Clinton tsunami that was supposed to engulf that election.
And of course, everyone caught a cold when it came back the other way again, 2024.
And, you know, we're seeing even in Israel right now, the pollsters have seen seem to have got that wrong.
So I'm not sure polls are that reliable when you're dealing with figures like Donald Trump.
But notwithstanding that, the trend does seem to be very negative for him personally.
And I would say as somebody who's seen, you know, I always try and be fair with Trump.
I always say when I think I agree with what he's done, I think what he did in shutting the southern border down was a good thing for America and has proven to be a good thing for America.
But I think the decision to go to war in Iran was a big mistake.
And the problem with it is it's had a knock on effect on cost of living, family bills, gas prices and so on, which, again, was what he promised to bring down.
So he said as a as a candidate in 2024, I'm going to not go and have all these pointless foreign wars.
I'm going to get the cost of gas down, get the cost of living down.
And, of course, that one decision has meant the opposite's happened.
So if he does end up losing the whole of Congress, I think it will be because of that chain of events.
What do you think?
Well, I mean, just to put numbers to it, you know, it's $2,400 per family.
And, of course, the poorer families, the middle and lower middle class families, guys, are the ones that get hit the most.
So it's more it's more like a regressive tax. So that could hurt him.
But I think the president consistently under polls, I think all three of us would have to stipulate that given the last 10 years that he's been in American politics.
People will say that they're not voting for him or not voting for the Republicans.
And then they go in and close the curtain is sort of, Pierce, you would remember Tom Bradley, the mayor from L.A.
This is like the reverse of the Bradley effect.
So to me, you know, I don't know, obviously, but it looks like it's going to be plus 18 or 19 in the House for the Democrats.
I feel like the Republicans is going to go 50-50.
And I think Vance will be the decider in the Senate.
And if you look at where the president's approval ratings is, that would be a remarkable outcome for the midterms for President Trump.
But that's what it looks like. You know, as it relates to James Tallarico, I think he's a good candidate.
I mean, I would probably disagree with Katie on him.
I think he's a good candidate. But I think the machinery in Texas is such that he'll lose that election.
I mean, they'll they'll they'll turn out the vote. And, you know, the last Democrat to win in that state was Lloyd Benson.
and this is 38 short years ago,
and the Democrats are always two points away
from winning in the state of Texas
and just go back to the Beto O'Rourke race.
So I think Paxson wins in Texas.
I think Collins wins in Maine.
But I think those other states probably go to the Democrats,
and so you ended up with like a 50-50 in the Senate.
That's my best guess.
Katie, it's been great having you on Uncensored.
I would say to you that in relation to the mooch and what happened to him after he held your post, clearly there is light at the end of the tunnel, and I think you're already coming out of it.
She doesn't need your or my advice.
Seems like she's doing just fine, Pierce.
Well, you know what?
Everyone needs advice in life, and I would leave you with the advice of Rocky Balboa to his son in the sixth movie of the franchise when he finally has it out with his son.
He says life is tough.
It'll beat you down if you let it.
And life is not about how hard you can hit.
It's about how hard you can get hit, get back up, and keep moving forward.
That's how winning is done.
You've had the courage to come on uncensored.
As Anthony said, not an easy thing to do.
I think you were early on defensive, if I was being critical,
and then you opened up towards the end,
and we saw a very different Keita Zakaria.
So I think you're already on that road to recovery.
And as the mooch has proved,
there is a lot of fun and life to be had outside of that podium.
So I wish you all the very best.
You're going to be just fine, Katie.
Just ignore the wackos.
That would be my best advice to you.
Yes.
You don't mean me, do you?
Thank you very much.
It's been wonderful being on.
Who do I like?
What's that, Katie?
I said thank you very much.
I actually pride myself in having very good relationships with all sides,
political sides in the media and in politics.
And I look forward to continuing to build those
and not wavering.
My support.
I look forward to continuing to build those.
And I look forward to continuing to build those.
Well, I can say, Katie,
the mooch and I resolve things with a pint of British ale,
and there will be a pint waiting for you whenever you like,
because I admire you for coming on the show
and for fronting up,
and, you know, life will go on.
