Our Strange Addiction

In this episode of "Distractable," hosts Bob, Mark, and Wade engage in a mix of personal storytelling, humor, and deep dives into quirky hobbies. They begin by discussing the unspoken rules of language and naming order, reflecting on how seating in school and physical height have shaped their lives. The conversation then shifts to a fictional ghost-tunting adventure, where a live stream encounter leads to a break-in and a moment of fear—later resolved as a coincidence. They explore the fun and harmless nature of believing in the supernatural, likening it to childhood make-believe, while rejecting manipulation or exploitation. The episode also highlights their shared passion for the game "War Dogs," where creative and strategic play brings laughter and camaraderie. A major focus is on Pokémon card collection, where they explain the mechanics of achieving a master set and share vivid, humorous card pulls, from rare Mega Darkry to reverse-hollows and full-arts. Throughout, the tone remains light, self-deprecating, and playful, celebrating the joy of shared interest and the simple pleasure of engaging in a game, a hobby, or a belief system without judgment. The episode concludes with a strong sense of connection, showing how humor and vulnerability bind the hosts together in a uniquely entertaining way.

Good evening, gentle listeners, or watchers, and welcome to "Destactable". This episode, Bibliographic Bob builds solo, but gangbangs. Then gets the guys to indulge their pokey love. Wardogging Wade, ex-Affro-man, has a very sickly bow-wow. That explains masterfulness, piss, and god-packs. Microbial mark, the ghost-busting actor, gets swatted, punches a minor, scissors, and opens, from alphabetized order, to nice dust covers. Heh heh heh heh. It's time for our strange addiction. Now sit back, and prepare to be distracted, and enjoy the show. Hello, and welcome back to another episode of "Destractable". The podcast that Ralph from the Simpsons once described as, "That's right. I'm your host, Bob, because I won the last episode, and it was a one-man show, so I guess nobody else could have won, joined as always, except when I'm not. By my two co-host/competitors for today's episode." "That's Wade and Mark." "As I said, your name's in the wrong order." "Uh, wait, was there a right order?" "Love the implications." It's very narcissistic of me, but if I'm like describing us, if I don't say Bob, Mark, and Wade, it sounds wrong to my brain. It's not a Mark first thing, it's not a Wade last thing. It might be a me first thing, but whatever I describe you guys, or write you down, I always write Mark, Wade, or say, like, this is Mark and Wade, whatever. And I don't know why. "Alphabetical, maybe." I do feel like I say Mark and Bob a lot myself, actually, and I've mentioned it. I've tried putting Wade in the left column when I'm keeping score. I know nobody gives a shit about this. It confuses the shit out of me. There's a podcast episode idea here that's percolating right now, because English is a certain unspoken word order. You know, you get like the big red bus, but the red big bus doesn't sound quite as right, you know? But it's still right. It's still technically right. But in most speaking, you would say the big red bus, instead of the red big bus. There's certain things in rules, maybe it's something to do with that. There used to be a thing called classrooms that you would learn this stuff, but we could do a podcast episode to teach you. Wow, man, dude. Oh, you wear those ungrateful jackasses at the front of the room, keep asking for more money. I don't want to deal with that again. It took a while for me to figure out if you met the smart kids or the teachers. All of them. All of those idiots. Yeah. Be in the back where I could actually get some decent quiet for once. Have my nap. This is a very main character syndrome of me, but when I was in law school, I think I confused all my professors, because I sit in the absolute back back. But I'm a huge and especially in law school. I like legal reasoning. I was always that kid who was like, "Oh, but what if he killed him?" As he was falling across the state, like I always had some stupid question, right? Where it was like, "Let's game this out." But I sit in the back because I'm tall, because I've always been tall. And if I sit in the front row, the poor five-foot-six person behind me can't fucking see the boards and is blocked from participating in the class. But I was, I think my professors were always caught off guard until they learned what the deal was, that I'm like way in the back. But also, I'm the kid who's immediately like, "I'm not, I'm not asking. I'm not soliciting any questions right now. Shut up." We had multiple classes in high school where they would sit us alphabetically and my last name is early in the alphabet. So I often got put in the first or second seat. And especially in like eighth and ninth grade, when I had the afro, I was like six-four huge afro and like notoriously, there was always like four-foot-nine person in this chair behind me. There was no chance they ever saw the board to pick notes. Damn. It's a curse. And it wasn't me, everyone at home, everyone being like, "No, Mark is a perfectly normal height." Why do you think he didn't finish college? I described someone substantially shorter than Mark, in my example. Every time there's a picture of me that appears on the internet, and I'm slightly taller than the person I'm next to. It's like, "How short must they be?" Oh my god. Some of the distractable merch has like, Bob and I has little figures, and you've got like the long face figure, and you sit like a foot or two taller than Bob, and I'm like, "This is so wrong." Something about this gives me the ick. There's a few times when the size of my head has given me that little bit of height advantage I need, just a bit all in the dome. There was a time when the twenty-teens or Mark was taller than Bob and I, but thankfully he's come back down. He had that mid-face shortening surgery, and he went back down to his perfectly normal height. Yeah, they called it smile. We thought it was for something else, but it was really for the mid-face. And it's all true, everything he's saying. That all happened. That's our lives, everybody. Anyway, welcome to Distractable. There's rules and points. Nobody cares. How are you all doing? How is it hanging? Big, small talk? It's been a while. Yeah, yeah, I went ghost-tunting, and that was interesting. I heard some stuff about that. I heard some stuff happened. I went to ghost-tunting, and he had made some gadgets. Jordan, day-toon. Day-toon, as I call him, for some fucking reason. Day-toon? I love day-toon. God, I assume someone said I couldn't ever get it right. It's stuck in my head. You mean, Jordan? Yeah, Jordan, yeah. You know, oh, you know, Jordan? I know, Jordan, yeah. Oh, good. Yeah, we went ghost-tunting. He made some gadgets and things to respond to the electromagnetic frequency. And everyone afterwards were like, "Oh my God, he's a believer now." And I'm like, "So sorry. It's acting." It's called leaning into the bit. It's like it's called embracing the moment. Far scarier was the breaking and entering next door. Yeah, that was the part I heard about. That sounded neat. I heard about that part, yeah. Yeah, yeah. So we were in the middle of the stream, and suddenly the radio, all the devices start going a little crazier. And then we see some lights come through a window down the street a little bit, and we hear distant jokers. (crashing) (crashing) Why was the Swedish chef with the SWAT team? Oh my God. (laughing) To be clear, it wasn't the SWAT team. There was just a few cops. And so they were parked up on the corner, and there's like a gas station, and there's like a restaurant. And, or there's gas station convenient store in a restaurant. I can't remember what is next building. And apparently, I'm not a harboursensurer, but there was someone that broke in there, and then went behind the buildings, and this being right next to it, they didn't know if he went in this building or not. So they go to the next building, and they're like, "How are we gonna get out?" And so it's like clown car a little bit in this house. 'Cause like, first, the owner comes out, and we're not sure what's going on at first, 'cause he goes out, and then the owner's partner goes out, and then the two friends that were there go out, and then we go out, and we're like, "What the fuck?" How many people were robbing this place? (laughing) And so, we weren't arrest for anything. It wasn't handcuffed, or nothing, it was just like, but they searched us, and I lost my pocket knife, unfortunately. And so it was, but it was totally fine, 'cause they pat me down and pulled it out and set it on some desk somewhere, and then when we came back, it was gone. So like, the ghosts took my knife, who the ghost has a knife, shit. - The thieves came over, they're like, "Oh, more stuff for us to take, this is so nice." - Yeah, so, but then we got that all sorted and went back in. It was really like, "That's fucking weird." So the ghosts called the cops on us, anyway. (laughing) - The ghosts were trying to get you guys swatted. This fucking consent to being on a live stream, get out of here. No, it's complete. These guys won't stop asking us to do things. We're just trying to sleep. - Gave it into my bedroom, and we're like, "Oh, drive this car into my head." "Oh, milker player." I don't know what this guy is. - They're treating us like idiots. They're like, "Can you turn a light on?" It's like, "Yeah, no shit, I can turn a light on it." They'll watch you. I'm tired, the middle of the night. - Yeah, so the original thought was that like, "Oh God, we are being swatted," which happens a lot. But no, it was pure coincidence. There was a beanie next door for some reason. - That's crazy. - Yeah, just happened to be this strange coincidence. - There's a much better version of what could have happened because who knows how it would have played out if someone was trying to do the whole swatting nonsense. Someone could have got hurt, would have been terrible. - Which is funny, 'cause I haven't heard of swattings happening in a long time. - Well, since they've been cracking down pretty hard on thankfully, I think a lot of people have been deterred by the severe punishments they've handed out for some of them. - Yeah, I mean, that does happen. I've heard like, there was a long string, a few years back of a lot of people being swatted and then people really started to get actual punishment and jail time for doing that because of course it is a crime. But yeah, so I haven't heard of it in ages, so. That was the initial thought, but it's like, don't apparently just happen. - Did you find any ghosts? - No. - Now that you believe in them, did you find any ghosts? - It'd be really funny if you said yes, but I still don't believe in them. - So there's just one device and not to describe anything. I think it's like very cool what he's doing. doing it in all the gadgets he built. One of the common ones is one that does a radio frequency sweep, right? And all it's doing is it's cycling through the radio stations around the area. So you'll get clips of little things that people are saying and you're supposed to say that out loud. It's very clear that this is just random radio station and just like anyone, you know, in doing crowd work, they can kind of suggest people to get certain answers that they're looking for and work with what it is, big improv exercise. And I'm not saying that, you know, it's all bunk, but I'm kind of saying it's all just a little, but it's, it's just a radio station and there's random words that'll jump out and you can make sense of anything you can find meaning in it. But it was very entertaining. What, what, what, what he was able to do with what was being said was very fun. Yeah. I think that's the big thing is it's, I'm not going to say that I know definitively ghosts are not real or there's no supernatural. But I think I fall more in your camp where I'm definitely not like a believer out. I don't read into stuff the way that people who want a certain answer will read it. But done correctly, it's incredibly entertaining because it's, it's mixing together are sort of wonder/fear about the supernatural. And it's like you said, it's like improv work, right? But I always am suspicious of guys who host like the ones that are on TV, those ghost hunters that are more, they're clearly trying to get the episode. They're trying to get the shot and the clip and anything will happen. And they'll be like, Oh, I did. Like what? Like not that we don't do that as online content creators, but it's very entertaining. I've always loved like ghost hunting shows. I have watched Jordan streams. I don't know him personally, but I think we've met a couple times in like the very entertaining, not discrediting at all. And here's the thing. There's nothing wrong with this because there's this kind of shame to take these things from childhood where we would make believe and really be into it because it's fun to do that. And now that we're as adults we're expected to like, Oh, we need to be serious. We've got our jobs. We can't make believe and play pretend and actually really get into it. It's like, no, we've always loved to do this. There's nothing wrong with going into these situations. And for a moment, letting yourself get into it, letting yourself believe for better or worse and like play the part because there's nothing worse than a party pooper going in there and sitting in the middle of this look, it's not real. It's fucking bullshit. This is all stupid. It's fun to go in there. But like, what if it's a ghost, you know, and there was one weird thing where it's like his necklace fell off. And he was like, it just he just the ghost just ripped the necklace right off. And I'm like, that's really cool. That's really fun. I like it could be ghosts. You know, it's fun to believe. It's fun to do that. It's nothing wrong with playing into it. So I'm not taking a hard line. Like it's not real. But anyone that comes out of being like, well, he's a believer now. It's just like, well, okay. All right. There's a certain magic in the make believe. There's a magic in that. And it's fun to do. But also let's not take it too seriously now because that's how other things get started. So you like playing make believe and ghosts aren't real. That's Mark stance everybody. That's pretty hard line. There we go. That's it. What a heart. What a takeaway. Yeah. That's the thing, I guess for me too, that always that pushes it too far is people who turn it into manipulating. People who like, you know, the reader who's like doing crowd work basically, but is like, how I'm communicating with your dead husband. And he wants you to buy my book at the table in the back. That sort of shit is like that takes it from this is a fun show. And you're doing, you know, you're being very entertaining. And I'm I'm going with you because I want to be entertained to okay, like that, that's just gross. Like that's just manipulative. You're now you're reaching into someone's personal life. I mean, like, yeah, you, what do you want to say to your dead grandmother? How can you do that? That's not entertaining. That's gross. Don't do that. I don't watch the whole thing, but I heard about the B&E and it seemed like it was pretty fun. You guys had a fun time. They're fun B&E. Who's great? All of it, but including the B&E seemed pretty fun. So Wade, how many ghosts did you see since last time? No, and I get to be the Debbie Downer again. So we all recorded last Tuesday, right? Yep. And yes, and then Wednesday morning, Molly and I woke up to press Lee are one of our two doxins, yelping in horrible pain. Yay. So we had to take him to the vet. That was also the day she had her two week follow it from her surgery. I had a physical schedule that day. And then we have to make two trips to the vet that day to find out he's got two spots of was IVDD, the bad back doxin problem that you don't want to see. So he's on eight to 12 weeks of bed rest. He's on Fred in the zone. Was it Gabba Pintin met the carbon mall or something. He's on like three different medications. Surprise. He's conscious. God damn. He's been out a lot, but he's not allowed to do virtually anything. So we've had to gingerly carry him around everywhere up until about yesterday. He couldn't really use his back legs at all. Like he was just kind of collapsing and dragging himself around because he just couldn't, especially his back right leg. He couldn't use it. So it's been pretty sad and miserable for him. Tough for us because he can't do anything. We've got to make sure he's not moving. And Molly has been on a weight limit for what she's allowed to carry because of her surgery. So there's been a lot of like, okay, I got to carry personally everywhere. And thankfully she's allowed to carry, but I'm still trying to not let her overdo it. But he sees a neurologist tomorrow. We're going to consult and see if we need to schedule a surgery or try the eight to 12 weeks and see what happens. But yeah, ginger had our other doxin ginger had a back surgery when she was like, too, it was not fun. And I really don't want to go through it again. But obviously, whatever's best for pressing, we're going to do. But you know, he's he's our kid. And seeing him in pain and seeing him like, look at us and like, not understand and be sad is heartbreaking. So it's been a really, really, really long six days. And only 11 or weeks maybe, you know, yeah, right side, but he was able to walk a little bit yesterday and he wants to move. He wants to play. He just doesn't understand why his body won't let him at the moment. But there's been a little bit, I'd say pretty minor, but a little bit of improvement to the point where he can at least stand to use the bathroom now, which was not the case the first day or two. No fun ghost stories are being he's just a lot of my wife's still recovering from surgery. And now my dog is miserable. So yeah, 2026, the year of health issues in this family. We played some war dogs. That was pretty fun. So we did. And someone got really mad at us doing a little rp on the thing the other day. I don't if you remember, that guy was. He was really bad. We had a pilot man who was driving a helicopter. He was the craziest pilot I've ever seen. He flew like between the trees, did like a full barrel roll. And then someone on there was did let said something about like, oh, I gotta get back to my wife and kids or something. And some other guys like, this is a war game. Stop pretending like you're anything else other than just a dude playing a war game. It's like, all right, cool. That's fun. You guys are fun. Yeah. And then there's always like the people that just like die and just lay there yelling slurs and stuff out loud because they got nothing better to do. So there's some really fun people. And there's like the worst of humanity and all encompass within five feet of each other usually on the same team. I feel like our squad was out there having a lot of fun. Typically. So is that game fun? I was looking at it a little bit. I was like, ooh, it seems kind of like I love battlefield. And it seemed like, ooh, three teams is interesting. It is very battlefield. I like it more than battlefield myself, to be honest. It's kind of like battlefield with some elements of like squad. If you know that game and or like Tarkov in a different way, blend it in where it's like every life you have to spend money to have anything. You have to buy your kit at the start of your life. But then you earn money for doing basically anything. So it has a fun dynamic of like some nights you lose half a million dollars because all you do is buy 20,000 dollars with a crap and go die in two seconds and some nights like what we were doing last night because it's the end of the season is we basically were taking the free stuff like we were buying almost zero dollar kits and just wandering out like dudes with hunting rifles in the wilderness and then stealing gear as we found it. And it was hilariously fun because we were just doing stupid nonsense and not expecting to succeed at anything and then you know, sometimes you get lucky. It's really funny. That was cool. And you can do a lot different things in the game. You can just go fight. You can build a base and people still come wreck you and blow your stuff up, make you sad, but you can build a base. You can just deliver supplies. You can just buy a truck or helicopter, start an HQ, buy fuel and ammo, drive it for 10 minutes, drop it off and then just keep doing that the whole time and make money that way. You make pretty good money doing it. I like those kind of things just because it's I've always liked the logistics side of it and I've wanted to do that where it's like I just make an engineering core, you know, and just like get some people just to do that. You can do that. Bob is doing a taxi delivery service where he was flying a helicopter and just picking people up, dropping them off, flying back, picking people up that died. And it's really funny if you drop someone off and they die immediately, you fly back and they're like, there's me again. There's enough on it. Oh, come back. Did you have fun? But you can you can do so many things in that game, which is really cool. That's super fun. Yeah. I'll have to give it a try. Is it easy to play like solo or do you have to have people? I play solo a fair amount. When I play solo, I do more like logistic stuff. I build the bases or just run supply delivery stuff because it's the fighting is much more fond with a group because if you don't have anyone communicating to you kind of are just in the middle of the huge area where the enemies could be in any direction at all times. But if you're fighting with a group and you're sort of like having objective and you're, it's very exciting. But there's lots of stuff you do still owe. That's perfectly fun. You can buy medic outload out and you just run around like reviving people or healing people. People do that to like level up. They'll just come and inject you with something and run away. You can nonconcentrally inject people with stimulants. There are people who level up. Their medic skill just running around. Just be like, and everyone's like, what the? You'll be like laying in a bush, stealthing out as a sniper. All of a sudden this blue guy just comes like, it's like, I was hiding. They just stabbed you and runs away to stab someone else. There's also like reconning so you can just buy pair of binoculars and go outside the map on a hill and just highlight where enemies are, the entire map. So everyone sees them and all thought like the game is your oyster. Yeah. That's pretty cool. Does your binoculars still do the glint if someone's looking at you or is that only for sniper scopes? Is there sniper glint? I don't know. There's not glint. There's the, when you fire, it's visible. So if you are shooting a long range rifle, people might see your muzzle flash, but I don't think there's glint on any of the optics or anything. Yeah, I don't think so either. Interesting. Okay. They're adding weather in the next step. So they're doing a wipe. Everyone starts from scratch on the 15th of October, which is in the past now. But, all right, let's forget this podcast. Let's go play War Dogs. This sounds fun. I'm down with this episode. Just being us jumping in and laying war dogs. We don't show the game. It's just our face cams. We're like, this guy in the left. I'm down. I'm down. Help. Help. Watch that hill over there. Northeast. Everyone's like cool episode guys. Because I was recently playing a body cam because I, I've owned it for a while and then they did this big update and I saw they had zombies mode. I was like, oh, that sounds fun. Because I don't really care about just shooting and shooting other people and that being the only thing there. But the zombie modes is like under maintenance as soon as I got it. So I'm just like, oh, man, play a little with bots, you know, try a few games, but there's some, there's like, I am out of practice in the first person shooter world. I am not of the skill necessary anymore to the point to play with other people. They are, they're, they're fast. And I'm like, and because body cam is like, it's a little sluggish on moving around and I'm just like, man, these guys, I don't know, I'm getting feeling old, feeling old playing with these guys. That game looks cool though. I didn't know they were putting zombies in that game looks cool. I'm not seeing that. I'll have to look into that one. There are certain players and war dogs you come across. It's like, I don't know if this is a cheater or just a guy that has been playing this since launch and has not slept and lives on energy drinks and is the most talented. It feels like seal team six sometimes. You come across a team that is just so good and the way they swarm you is like, we didn't have a chance. And then you come across people like, I've had moments where I've been really good. I've also had moments where I'm like, has that an enemy in front of me? Yeah, it is right. And I die without doing anything because it's like, I think that's a bad guy. I couldn't look at the map. All right, I'm getting it. That's fun though. We have a group, like a discord group where there's a bunch of us and every night at some point, someone is like, I'm getting on war dogs and like half the group of like, oh, I fucking, I just got to like, fold my laundry, but two fucking cares. Let's play war dogs. That's what I need. Actually, the group ended up liking it. Maybe, maybe, maybe, maybe. This episode of Distractable is brought to you by Chime. Spending ads up so fast. Accounts. All right about Presley. I hope Presley's okay. Yeah. I mean, yeah. He still wags his tail. He's still happy, boys. Just his back's bad. So, gotta figure out if the steroids are enough or if he needs a surgery still, but. It's okay. I know how to cheer you up, buddy. Oh, yeah? Today's topic is something that you could argue is hardly a topic at all. Wade and I are going to try and get Mark hooked on our addiction. We're going to talk about war dogs. Other addiction. One of the odds we all had a pack of these just sitting on our desk this whole time. Did you, do you guys also pick up a booster pack? Oh, what are these six called? A booster box for big evolution five pitch black? That's so crazy that we all just have these just sitting here. Wow. This nine-year-old kid was really crying a whole bunch because I punched him in the face a few times. He backed off of my packs. Turns out the kids, they can't fight these days. So, I got it right out of his hands. Ripped it right out of his hands. They're all so busy staring at their tick-tocks and they're, you know, and their their jewels. They can't fight for nothing. Back in my day, kids can hold off a 37-year-old man who works out and is an expert fighter. These kids these days are soft. They're soft. That's what I'm saying. How do I, do I bend this into the back of this? Is this supposed to be like a store display or something? Yeah, so these booster boxes are actually store displays. You kind of just have to jam it if you want to do the thing, but I think most people who open these who are addicted to Pokemon just immediately take all the packs out, stack them up, get their razor blade and start ripping. Maybe I got gloves. Am I supposed to have gloves? If it makes you feel cooler, you can absolutely run gloves. For anyone who's listening and not watching, Mark, Wade and I, I purchased these and sent them to the, well, Wade honestly had one. I was going to send one to Wade. He was like, I already have it. And I think actually you gave me this one because I told Joe is going to do this and you were like, I have extras. Do you want, do you want some? I master set pitch black. So, like, this is honestly just going to be the most relaxing fun time for me, which is nice. But anyway, we're going to open some Pokemon cards to explain to Mark what's what's master setting. So each set has so many cards. And if you have at least one copy of every card, you have master set it. I'm the master hands from Super Smash. There are weird exceptions to that because sometimes they don't count certain cards. Some two by two hands of blue. You know, like Super Smash brother. You know, you know, yeah, no, it's like if it had a blue skin. Yeah, yeah, yeah. I hope Sam cuts out the word Super Smash Brothers and then you just continue to describe something for listeners. Mark was just shaking up two cans of spray paint and then trying to get the cap off but having some trouble. So he was kind of fondling it. You remember this move in Super Smash Brothers? Yes, that's a great move. Oh, that Super Smash Brothers, not the game. Not the videotape. Your brother recorded over the Lion King the game. No, that was just. That was one. I'm so glad you've reclarified that. What was it? Louder for the listeners in the back. Oh, nice. That's the stuff. No, that's funny. Wade and I have talked about I think our Pokemon Diction. Wade is way deeper into it than I am. I'm deep. But if we get any of you into it, if you haven't heard of it, like what's not beyond line, which is confusing because then how did you find our podcast? But basically these boxes that we have that we all showed on camera are boxes of 36 booster packs and each booster pack. Where's my camera? It's just a little sleeve that's not going to be in focus that each of these has 10 cards in it. And it has, I think it has each one has one energy card, which is part of the actual like play the card game part of the game. Who does that? I honestly nerds and an online card that no one ever cares about. Oh, yeah, there's not online card that you throw away. And then there are nine other cards that will be actual Pokemon's when when people do this. I always I've seen people do before. where they automatically put some from the backup front or something like that. - Yes, it used to be four from the back and older packs. The newer ones, it's usually just, there's the online card you take and get rid of. The very last card's energy. So people usually put the energy card in the front because there's a chance of getting what's called a God pack where all the cards and this are like a hit minus the energy in the online pack. So if you put the energy in a front then you don't know if the first card is a God pack hit or not. But it's usually just you get rid of the online one and then the very last one you put in the front and then you've got to set up. - And if you have like a pocket knife or scissors or something. - I just lost it mine. - I know, look, I'm not trying to rub it in. I'm not trying, but if you had a pocket knife, it's the easiest way to open these is to cut the top somehow as opposed to try to like pull it apart. - What about scissors? - Scissors works, just gotta aim-oom carefully. - Okay, I'm gonna get some scissors. And before he cuts the dark right hit and half, man, I kind of hope he does just feel all those sweet, sweet Pokemon collector tiers. I don't know whose team I'm on here, but one of the odds that we get, I mean, if theoretically we opened all three of all the cards and all these boxes. We have to get like at least one pretty good hit probably. I know it's not still not that high of a chance, but that's a lot of packs to open. We probably get something. - This typically each box should have like, I think the odds in black aren't too bad. So you'd think each box would probably have at least one SIR on average. I'm not saying it's guarantee, but like on average, you'd expect at least one I would think. - Yeah. I don't know if we're gonna open all of them. - Honestly, I've not looked at this setting. I mean, I've gotta remember what all the SIRs are. I know there's the Dark Rye, the Shandallur, couple trainer cards, like a Morepeco. - Uh, didn't pitch black have a, you and a lot of people were chasing? - I don't think there's a mu and pitch black. - I don't remember. - That's the only thing is I also haven't opened these in a long time 'cause I was opening Chaos Rising and then I have had a few 30th anniversary things that I've been opening. I don't remember. There's a very easy way for me to solve this conundrum. - Are you saying that on the internet, they may have some info about this? - Yeah, there's just literally a card list I can look at. So look at the card list, see what the big hits are. There's a mega zero aura, there's a Shandallur, there's a mega Dark Rye, the Morepeco, Gladiant's final battle, Gwendo, the Gold Dark Rye, those are the SIRs. - Okay, I'm back and I've probably gotten food and grease all over this. - What is this SIR? - Secret Rare. - Secret Rare, I don't know why it's called SIR or why they call it Secret Rare, I'm not sure. I only got into this literally this year. So the history of why things are called that they are is beyond me. - I got into this way after you did, so I'm just a wee little, maybe. - Yeah, I mean, back whenever we collected the '90s, there were no such things, you knew what the cards were. And all the hits were up front. Now the hits are like the numbers in the back. The very first set, like Charizard was number four. Now if you get a Charizard, it's like, oh, I got the 168 out of 120 Charizard. - Yeah, the numbers and shit is all a mystery to me. - Oh, I got the SH029 out of SH030 Dark Rites. Like, what does that mean? Those aren't how numbers. - All right, well, shall we rip our first packs, fellas? - Yeah, yeah, yeah, let's do it. Yeah, how do we do this? Do we announce it? Do we take turns? - I mean, we can all cut them and prep them and then take turns showing them. - Okay. - And yeah, the Pokemon, live, whatever nonsense. That's the thing you could just throw away. I honestly don't even know what those are for still, but I've never talked to a human being was like, oh, you wanna have 'em. You don't wanna miss out on those. - You can collect cards online or something. I don't know which order things went in, so they kind of fell out of the pack weirdly. - Well, Marx is gonna be a surpriseer. - Basic energy, okay, I gotta put that into. - Move that to the front so that it's like your top, yeah, a top situation and then draw 'em, baby. - But this is a weird angle. I gotta go over my microphone arm, so. - All right, so energy and we also, oh, gold deen. That's pretty good, right? - Yeah, hold on, how is your name? - Pulsha, guy, Pulsha, guys. - Pulsha, guys? - Shield on. He has a shield on him. His name is Shield on. - Rhyme, Mabo, something. Masjif. - Of course I get the ones I don't know the names of. - And I'm not gonna be able to hold my arms up like this for all 36 of these things. This is gonna be awful. - Hey, Wade, you and I got the same one. - Oh, David, I'll hell yeah. - Oh, pick a pack. - Oh, and now Wade and Mark are matched. Look at these guys. - That's gotta be at least where the point. Oh look, it's Pulsha, guys. It's like we got the same stuff. - Wow, interesting, interesting. - Oh, good, a bomb. Oh, man, man, man, man. - It's Menec Trick. Boogie, boogie, boogie, boogie. - It's Menec Trick. Ooh, I got a reverse hollow seeking. - Reverse hollow, what does that mean? - So hollow is when the like picture of the Pokemon is hollow. Reverse hollow is when the rest of the card around it is all hollow, foil. So this one is hollow, regular, 'cause the picture is all shiny, and then this one is reverse. I don't know why that's reverse, 'cause honestly, I tend to like the reverse hollows better in general, 'cause I feel like they have a cooler vibe. - This is just a toucan. - Toucan, toucanon? - Toucanon? - Toucanon? - Oh, you got toucanon. - He's got toucanons. - Callithin, the primate, and oh, I got the X. - Oh, is this a reverse hollow? Is that what that is? - Yeah, so the last three cards at every pack will be a reverse hollow, a reverse hollow, and then a hollow of some sort. - This is gonna be tricky. I forgot, I don't have literally any sleeves around me. So I guess I'm gonna set these precariously in a safe spot. - What is this one, blah, blah. - Vica Volt. - Wait, wait, it's winning this pet currently. I don't wanna put a pressure on you, Mark. - Ooh, you got this. - Zabroud, Zabroud. - Zabroud. - What was your EX that you pulled with? - Rampartos, Rampartos. - So EX is like, it's still like not a full art, but the artwork kinda breaks out of the square a little bit. - I see, so should we set aside the hollows, and that's like our Yippies? - You can, Tibet, so the hollows are not, if you're master setting, they mean a lot more, or if you like the Pokemon. The ones that are considered hits are EXs and full arts, typically, again, there's always exceptions, but those are the ones they consider hits, or when you see an EX or a full art. All right, so Bob, how do you wanna run this? Are we, for every pack, we're holding it up and opening it at the same time, or are we ripping and holding up what we think is rare? - It was pretty loose, honestly. The whole concept was this, was how can we get an excuse to try and get Mark Hooked on Pokemon slash, open a bunch of packs for fun? - I basically wanna give points for good pools, and I am open to being convinced whoever has the highest dollar value at the end of it, right? - Well, look, if you wanna get Rare Caddy set up, I'll 3D Pritchie a Skid set up, we'll set it that we could skid. But yeah, I mean, Wade's Rampartos hit was pretty sweet, but if you, there are some cards that I like, even though they're not special, like there's in this set, there's a Whale Lord, I mean, it is special, it's a Whale Lord full art, that I think is just like a goofy looking art, that's really cool. - That was kind of a hard one to get, I think that was one of my last ones to get. - That was like one of the first things I got with my pitch black pools. I think that's my best pitch black cards still, which is not, not great. But also, I'm open to being convinced, I also like a lot of the classic ones, like there's a jinx and a slow poke in the set that have just like varying nostalgic arts that look like my childhood in the form of a Pokemon card. - So I think it's more fun whenever you do just like the cards rather than caring about just the monetary value. Like it's cool to know you pulled an expensive card, but also like, I'm collecting, not selling. - Fools. Oh, I'm, Rion, one of my favorite starters. I like Papalio. - Rannibos. - I cannot read these names inverted. - Electric. - We should read each other's names. (laughing) - Slow poke. - Papalio. - Volati, Volati. - Peep, peep, peep, peep, peep, peep, peep, peep, peep, peep. - Something fossil, what is this? Oh, skull fossil. - Another man trick tick. - Is that a tropeous? I don't know, look at that. - Drill, drill, drill, drill, drill. - Halifin. - My fingers cast such a shadow 'cause they angle my light. - Did they add more Pokemon since I did my Smash or Pass? - There's like a thousand, 25, and there's another generation coming out I think next year, it's gonna add even more. So yes. Oh my God. Oh my God. - Evil. - Oh, I like the The Evil card. I just like The Evil. I feel like The Evil looks really cool. - It's a B&E Pokemon. (laughing) - Oh, I got Litwick. I don't think I have this actually. Reverse Holo Litwick. And it looks like I might have an EX. Ooh, what do we got? - Oh, an EX Darker, nice. - Mega Darker. - Whoa. - All right. - All right. - Benet. - Dark Bell. - Tremendous bomb. - Reverse tropeous. - A silvally. - You know, tropeous is one. I think it looks quite a lot of dinosaurs and it's like a flying brontosaurus gen 3 dinosaur. Its stats are so bad like in the game. It's virtually unusable. They've never given it any love, which makes me sad. 'Cause it could be so much better. - Oh, so the trainer cards are the Reverse Holo. - Yeah, trainer cards. Anything can be Reverse Holo. There are Reverse Holo energy cards as well. - I just got a normal Holo Koridon in the back. - Koridon. Once you're correct on it. be for ride ons. I was talking to you before we jumped into this and you had made a good point. I will also give points each pack open for an accurate description encapsulating one of your one of your pulls. Yeah, we should do that better. Bigger darkry looks like kind of wow. I was going to try not to go too dirty off the rip, but mega darkry kind of looks like a sperm is trying to escape from a neon green and pink lightning storm. And the sperm is almost making its way out, but it's not quite free of the danger yet. Grandpartos is that like bald headed dinosaur with little spikes that stick out that bumps its head against things. I can't remember the name of the dinosaur type, but well, I haven't gotten an ex yet, so I can't explain anything. You're do mark. I'm do you're right. That's how statistics work, right? Skull fossil. Skull fossil. Hey, wait, we got the same pack, Wade. Oh my god, we do scarmory. Oh my god, we get the same. Wait, wait, wait. No way. I change. No, man. That would have been funny. I like try. You got a bit of alter, whatever. Yeah, misty. Anyl ape, which I think made primate a lot cooler. Ah, I didn't know there was another evolution. I'm going to do a pack opening the way they do it on TikTok. Nothing. All right. Next pack. Bomber deer reverse hollow. Oh, I got an ex mega mega mega slow bro. Shop it reverse. Mega slow bro looks like slow bro wearing an alligator skin. And oh, a full art. Oh, I'm the dinosaur guy today. I got a full art of the rampartus mark on his ex. Mark on an ex, but Wade got a card to compete with him. Damn, I'm losing. Now, those are good pulls. Those are good pulls. Rampartus is still the dinosaur with the horns sticking out of its bald head and it's nice little blue bald pop at rams things with. Wow. All right. So I put this mega slow bro aside. Oh, you know what? I should have set you a pack of sleeps and top loaders, Mark. That would have been the promove. Oh, who needs it? Who needs it? You can put them where you keep your valuables and one of your dry cabinets. Well, I'm going to put I'm going to put them in my open packs, all the shinies and I'm going to keep the EX separately, I guess. So Wade, what is your favorite set? Um, scented heroes has a lot of really cool cards, but it's probably, I mean, 30th is really cool. I like a lot of the 30th cards, but black bolt and white flare standout. They're two separate sets, but they're kind of the same. One of them features restaurant, which is the legendary from Pokemon white and then Pokemon blackhead Zechron. And I'm just a huge fan of those particular games. Jin fives with my favorite Jens. So I like black bolt and white flare a lot. And there's a lot of cool full arts in this. I'm still missing. I don't think I have any of those are those. I mean, none of these are that old or those older though. It's a little it's a bit of an older set now. It's a couple of years old at least. Sorry, I'm jumping ahead. Probably a good idea since they take a lot of open. Oh, I got the Rampardo CX. It's dinosaur day, baby. Oh, damn. Nice. It is dinoday. A bro, what? A bronze or? Oh, yeah. He's bronze. He's a little psychic steel guy. Oh, shiny. River shiny golden. Oh my god. I am still a sucker for Jin one. So like one fifty one and some of the Jin one Pokemon always mirror, mirror, mirror, mirror a done her name backwards. I thought was Jizz. I still a jet. Yeah. Yeah, it's a jet. Oh my god. You got a you got a Jizz. Is that a hollow Jizz or just a normal? No, just normal Jizz. It's normal Jizz. Could have been crazy. Oh, damn it. I've normal Jizz all the time. Reverse hollow jinks. I love I love the classics. I'm glad they changed jinx's look a little bit. It's still not great, but it's better than it was when it first came out. It's true. Reverse hollow whale Lord. So this one's fun. So some of the sets that do things like this were like the actual art for the whale Lord is like a bean bag looking things like knitted or stitched. They also have like claymation cards and like I think every set has one or two claymation looking Pokemon. I have one of those guys. I really like that whalmer like crocheted whalmer and my big hit is an energy and energy hollow. All right. I got a basic energy. Me too. We have the same pack. Oh my god. Same pack is the electric. Same pack. Same pack. No. Damn deviates from the start. That's not good. It's a 3D manky. Oh, that's the clay. That's the clay one. Yeah. That's the claymation one. That's with special art. Oh, those unique. Okay. I'll set it aside. So one of the cool things they do is like they bring back artists. So there's a whole bunch. So the artists are all listed down here for the different artworks and artists will do so many cards per like each set. But if you have multiple sets, you'd be like, oh, look, here's the artist's version of this card like throughout the last 10 sets and you can kind of do like binders via just artists if you wanted to. Look, I got a better version of the one you just got Mark. It's a reverse hollow whalmer. Oh, man. I don't think I got the whale guy. I got the whalmer. He beat me. I beat you, Wade. Even better. You beat me. Yeah. Why is that better? Hold on. Guys, I think it recognizes that I'm a false believer. It's it's not given me anything nice. Now, this is just how it goes. Sinist. So these are like based on teas, the ultra, ultra-geist family. Sinist cheese and teas. Yeah, I'm pretty sure that they're like teas and coffees or whatever. I'm trying to open this riggy style without the scissors. Oh, the Hentai one. What? Malamar. Nice little tentacles. Just because something that's tentacles doesn't mean it's automatically obscene. I've been lied to up by the internet. What? How? In what way? All right, I thought everything was tentacles with Hentai. What? Rallocanth. Isn't that like a not Area 51, Rule 34, that's it. Isn't that an Area 51 with its Hentai? Yeah, Area 34, very famous. Shadow energy and Silvali Hollow. Look, I'm going to save up all these online cards and I'm going to actually plug them in and it's going to be nuts. I really do hope that Mark gets something ridiculous, though. How angry would people be if Mark pulls like the Medidarkri or something, the like Gold Super Special nonsense card? I'm going to pull the one ring, guys. I believe in you, buddy. There is a set for that. That's the magic set now. Yeah, that's true. Those cards actually look pretty sick. It's the Hentai one. Oh, this is another one I like. It's a, it's, it's nicot, just a little emo Fox guy. Pre-evolution to Theeval. Oh, that's part of the Theeving Foxes. A Trun, Trun, Trun, Trun, what? Trun, Trumb, Trumbic? Trumbic, Trumbic. There you go. Bob, I pulled it too. I pulled it too. Your favorite. I love that. That's a good card. He's adorable. It's a Minecraft monster. Oh my god. Yeah, Charger Park does look silly. A little squared off. Whoa, whoa, whoa, you joined the Rampardo's crew. You're Dino bros. Dino bros. That's very shiny. Look how shiny that is. Yeah, yours is very shiny looking. Full Art Manectric. Oh, nice. Yeah, yeah. Okay. You guys can't let me have one cool thing. You always get up as soon as I get like a nice one. Oh, look, Mark, here's this great. Here's this really good, buddy. Mine's double shinier something. I don't know. Is the other one was the other one? Yeah, this one's shinier than the other EX I got. It's even shinier. And after the slow, bro, more of ultiic energy. I think that's special. It's got a little extra shine in it. Yeah, that means I'm special. No, you know what? No, you do get a Rampardo's point. So that's good for you. Thank you. Thank you. I would ask you to describe it, but I think everyone has heard and seen about it. It's basically that dinosaur from Jurassic Park with the dome, the kind of monk looking one with the bald head, bald and horny and rams a lot. That's it. That's it. That's it. Leaf. Why is grass type represented by a leaf instead of piece of grass? What would a piece of grass look like on as it like a little medallion? No, just a little little little fuzz patch of grass. I don't know if you could probably pull it off. Yeah, you know, I say that, but that absolutely could be accomplished. That leaf type is grass type is represented by a leaf. I feel like they called them grass types, but then almost all of the like the early grass types were very leafy. Like, it's not like any of them. We're just like a patch of grass. Little grubbens. It's supposed to be nature, but you know, nature doesn't really play out. Mars Shadow is a Pokemon. I did not have much respect for it. Then I played a version of like Cobbleman, which is like the Minecraft pixel mon now, but it's Cobbleman's the new one. And the fighting ghost type is actually so good. It's such a good Pokemon to actually use. I feel like it's got to be really hard to be a fighting ghost, though. You can't touch anything. We fight with it manages somehow slow version is sizzle sizzle sizzle, oh, reverse hollow skull fossil to cannon. Oh, there. I'm a slow bro. I have that. I have that. Yeah, well, get ready to be outdone by this. Hey, we both got best of us. That's a fun one, right? It's pretty cool. I got one. I like it. I'm a fan. No, no, no, I hate it. It's not no monetary value. Are you feeling hooked, Mark? Are you feeling the it? That big head will get him that big head will get him is it is gonna get me guys. It's true You do you do you do need to make your first melee even Pokemon cards before you really start to feel it Oh, man. I got a crochet one. I do like those those the art on the like Knitted to crochet looking ones are dope who mankeys in one pack. What is this? Yeah, cuz I got the Wilmer crocheted Yeah, that's nice. I'll keep that one. Gladion Man debuts bandibos. Yes. Faw Faw Faw Mantis Faw Mantis. What the hell is that? I don't know. It's kind of fun Oh, there's the Ludwig reverse another mankey and When you know all right, so basically whale Lord is like a whale but long and with a pretty big mouth and little eyes Whales are long look at this fit is in. I love the art on this guy too. He's a no-world. I got a really shiny energy pretty cool I know none of us describe slow-bro. You know what slow-bro is exactly what you'd imagine. That's the description for slow-bro I can't imagine you have to describe it. Imagine a bro who's very slow Okay, I'm with you. I'm with you. I'm with you. I'm without you I'm without you and with his time doesn't know where to go The only word I could think that rhymes now is ho. So there you go. Hello, bro. All right. I'm I'm almost a quarter of the way through. Oh, I got the full-hello electric or Voltaic energy. I think I know you guys send me the bad packs. What? I think you you intentionally did you save the good for yourself. I did not buy a booster box Open them all and then carefully reseal them to send them to you That's what happens to Wade. So it's not very it's it's it's a full art So it's not common, but like it's not the rarest of all one of my favorites in this set is actually the Primerina I have so many of those. It was the one I wanted the most for verse all this set do these packs like have Classic cards or do they change the cards every single time they release a new pack? So they actually recycle arts sometimes so I swear there's like four sets that'll have like the same artwork for some this will not have any Cards from a set other than pitch black annihilate. Oh, it's fun. Oh, there's bronze or it jizz Well, there's I asked for Primerina and I got one. Just not the full art. Oh Wait full art shiny goldine. Oh full art goldine. That's pretty sweet and then shiny energy. Wow That goldine is actually my I think that's my friend into in this chase card in the set He wants that goldine really bad like this one like this right here. This one. Yeah, you can't have it I'll let him know Oracle that golden you wanted he doesn't want it at all, but you can't have it. He's gonna throw in the trash I guess if you could find it at the dump you can have it my heart skipped a beat because he was like this one You mean this one I was like please don't rip it right now My heart can't take it. Oh, no, no, I wouldn't do that. We're sizzling we're sizzling. I guess I'm curious I don't know if you count as being in the in the community of like Pokemon heads or whatever Do people just like hang out and rip cards because I have some friends Well, we have some friends you know them who like when we hang out They'll just show up and be like hey, I got these packs who wants to rip packs and they literally will just hand out like Here's here's a here's an ascended heroes. Here's a whatever you want to rip it here. Yeah, you open this you do do people just do that So we're literally in the same circle. So my oh full art two cannon. Oh, he has two cannons So like my inclination is to say yes, but also these are so expensive and hard to get sometimes now that uh when I was a kid I remember like I'll just go grab a pack of magic cards like I saved my allowance for a couple weeks I got like seven bucks or whatever like I just ain't like that anymore. I'm shiny good. Oh, you got shiny whelmer Whoa, oh, you got a full-learned trainer card Whoa, wow, that's nice. I'll describe it. Mark's card looks like a bomb my card looks like a two-can we've done it. What's that? I got an EX to the something or other. I don't know why I've done this where I've like Rotated this stack of cards as I was putting out the omega X-A drill X. Oh, the X-A drill nice. That sounds fun Drill burst evolution, but then the mega version. We're all getting stuff guys. Yeah, all of us. Didn't you just pull the gold? No, no, I mean, I'll take credit for the gold if you want. No, it doesn't exist. What was yours? Wait, you got the full art Two cannon two cannon low poke, which looks like a poke that's slow does it though I looked up while you were saying that and it was the the next card and I was like that's wrong, buddy Oh, I'm pretty yeah, I'm trying to look at the time. I'm like man. We've been going I've not even gotten through half of this box Yeah, go pretty slow. Yeah, I'm not halfway through either the misty floor. It's also cool But then again, I'm a gen one fanatics though all the original trainers and stuff plus misty was like childhood childhood Trush misty and Kim possible baby. Let's do this. Oh, hey another rampartos, but this one's just the normal first holla Is this dark store carrying a baby or is there bombs in there? It says bomb birder. What's that one called bomb bird here? Bombard here because it's a bomb bird. Yeah, bomb bird deer like that electric art and then this thing I'm a Bob. Oh, I think I think I think I was smash on this or maybe I was not. I'm not sure Oh, I would be that seems like a smash. Yeah, maybe maybe oh, I got the reverse hollow electric Yay, I was just saying how much I like that. Oh, there you go. I oh, I also got a pre-marina She's one of the very few starters I like that is like later generation I don't like all of the later generation starters, but the popular family is one I like and their water fairy type Which is great? Water fairy It's a good combo sounds like that thing from that Futurama episode that they eat that end up being the Babies of the people from Omacron Percy. I ate. Oh, yeah, yeah, I'm not gonna get a Futurama point Cuz I still a show I've not watched it's a Futurama. I've seen like two episodes. Oh, it's worth it. It's worth it Yeah, it's a great and then I've had the dog episode spoiled those the only things I know about Futurama Okay, don't watch that one because fuck that episode and how much it makes me sad every time I see it or think about it Reverse not full art bomb and oh the shadowy energy another bomb bird here if Listeners are out there are concerned that we're not describing a lot of the cards That's cuz we're getting a lot of the same stuff rust syndicate grant. What is the what is the rust syndicate? They're blasting off again. I think oh, I don't know. This guy's got a wheel in his chest I I'm not a hundred percent sure Corab Corabon Coradon Coride on I think he's got a wheel in his chest. It's like a yeah, so in the games. There's Coridon and Maridon and they are your bicycles in the games like you literally right on them Oh ride on I see I see oh It makes me like like grimace like it makes me kind of be like, I hate that shit But it's so funny the Pokemon names where you're like, what is this ring that orbell Ring ring that ring that door, but it's like ring the doorbell. It's a doorbell like oh This one looks like a set of key. What's his name clef key. His name is K from pocket. I didn't see it till now Hey, what's this one called? It looks like a ghostly lamp. Its name is lamp it Well, is the Japanese naming convention different, you know, I'm I'm so curious. I that I don't know I still still that the Trubbish family is one of my favorites to there's Maridon I gotta see the counterpart Is there three evolutions or is it just Trubbish and then Garbador just Trubbish and then Garbador and then I think Trubbish is a small trash can and Garbador is a big pile of garbage Uh, it's funny. It's not called mega. What's the thing called? There's like the gigantic version of Garbador. He's an even bigger pile of trash. It's not an evolution. It's like a temporary Boost form or something. Yeah, isn't that from like the Starlit violet era. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Super gigantic. Max plus Silverly Silverly. I think so voly so voly. I think it's a um legendary or pseudo. It's I think it's a legendary What doesn't say anything? No, it doesn't on the cards like the Maridon cried on our also legendaries But sometimes you can find a legendary Pokemon on like a common or uncommon card nowadays in the set, which is weird That does seem silly. Oh the backtrack badge the one you get from forgetting something having the backtrack to go get it. Uh-huh Is that really what the the word is? No, I don't know what the hell it is I feel like people want to hear the sound of it actually ripping. You might be on to something Mark. I did like that First Bastion on and oh, I think I got the X-Grid really X the X-Grid real Why are we laughing? Why are we laughing? Oh, I got the full art silvelly. Oh nice. That's a pretty card too Oh, that's pretty. I'll pay you 30,000 pennies for it. There's a secret rare Gladiance final battle I think and if you put those two cards side by side like the The light and the rays come from his card into the silvelly cards They kind of like pair side by side, which is kind of cool. Oh interesting. Why is it Misty's vitality? What why do I care about Misty's vitality and not Misty? She's a vital young woman. Seems kind of creepy. I don't know about that one. Oh Oh, you got the energy. All right - Oh, I do have to say too. I think it's a funny sign. I have seen some parts of some friends collections and they'll just have a thing where it's like, oh yeah, I have all this energy and they'll have like a foot tall stack of just energies and I'm like, holy shit. - It's easier to get than you'd think. - I know that you get a big pack of energies if you get like an ETB I think. - Yeah, they come with them, stack of them. But like still, you have to open so many fucking packs to get mostly one energy at a time to build a thing that's just like, like I'm not on that level yet. - Oh, you'll get there, you'll get there. - Oh man, I'm feeling pretty addicted, oh man. - Yeah, you ruined yet, Mark, you spoiled. - Oh man. - You start spending all your money. - We rang his bell. - Listen to this. - Oh, the ASMR. - That is pretty good. - That's what it's all about, everybody, this was all about. - She, who is like a little legendary goldfish thing, which is also kind of interesting to me. It's like a fire type goldfish. - Oh, yeah, so that one. Is it a goldfish? I thought it was a spider, but I guess I was looking at it stupid. - Well, the angle on that particular card's kind of funky, but I think on other parts, it looks like just a goldfish but a fiery legendary one. - Bob, I have to do like two episodes of this to get through this box. - I'm only about halfway through. - This reminds me of when I used to play World of Warcraft, what I would do is I would get, you know, or, and I was a, I was a jewel person, whatever jewel crafter in this, oh, fullard, a, a, a, evil. - A, evil, oh, I like that one. - Wow, it's the sneaky fox, but he's got a mustache in addition to the mask, so he's jumping from a high place down. - That's what makes him evil. He's not just a, he's not just a thevy fox, he's an evil thevy fox. - I don't think evil is part of it, but I also got a shiny energy. - He's the evil, what do you mean? - He's the, he's the, he's the, that's like, it's like therapist versus the other thing. - Oh, oh, oh, oh, oh, oh. - He's both, you're right, just like that. - No, no, no, no, it's not both. There's one proper interpretation. - I hope it's the first one. - Oh god, I mean, whatever, I don't know which one's which anymore. - I don't either. I know you were hoping for me to get a good one and man, for the Pokemon company, it would have been really good for them to get me hooked, but it doesn't seem like it's gonna be that way, guys. - I got the chandelier X. - Do you want it to describe what it looks like? - It looks kind of like if an onion became a sentient jack-a-lantern lamp that had purple flamey arms coming out of it. - What's the deal with type null? Why is it, that, that seems like strange name. - I don't know why it's named that. It evolves, I think it evolves into Silvali, the other one that we've seen a couple of times. It's like one of the few legendaries that has an evolution, a few of them do, but not, not a lot. - I'm gonna watch this one, Mark, because I know that you have a real winner in this pack. - Oh, yeah, whoa. - I can feel it. - Yep, oh, starting off. - That's a nice one. - Rhydon, Cher, Chi, Chi, you? - Yeah, Chi, you, and then boom. - And then another premarina, all right. I told you that one was, I told you that one had a winner. - Yeah, that is a winner for me, right? Oh, slow, oh, hey, I got one. Mark, let me top you again. - Oh, shit. You got the fuller, full mantis. - The full mantis, look at that pretty flowers. - That's a cool one. I don't think I have that one. - Man, my luck's really going ass up, guys. - Rhydon, oh, hey, I got shadowy energy, too. - All right, I'm officially at one half of this thing done. - You're one pack ahead of me. This is my last pack of the first half. - Mark, did you have any good pulls after the big bomb card? Do you have any other ones that you've set aside? - Nope, it's been just the bomb was the last one. - Thiefel, you got the Thiefel. - Oh, right, no, yeah, he did get the Thiefel. You got the full art Thiefel. - Did I get a full art Thiefel? - We had a whole discussion about it. - Oh, I think I put it away the wrong place. Oh, you're right, I put it in the wrong place, hang on. - I thought, I thought, it's because he's evil. It's hard to tell, but that does count. - Yeah, you're right, yeah, you're right, I got it. Yeah, he's there. - See, you're getting stuff, Mark? - Yeah, yeah, I'm getting, I'm getting, yeah, yeah, yeah. - I mean, to be fair, you and Wayne have the same number of pulls, which is pretty balanced. - We had one pack that was like five of the same cards in a row. I got so many of these online cards, it's crazy. I'm going to be rich. - Those are really valuable, probably. - All right, we got the reverse hollow Zerude, the Thiefel, and armor rogue, armor rouge. - It's not rogue, 'cause it's not ROG, it's like armor rouge. - I got the baby bomber, I got the Minecraft character. - Got the hen tie, I've got the bent tie, and I've got the, ooh, it's an X, it's a mega chandelor. - Oh, hell yeah. - Wow, it looks like a chandelier, but evil. - Yeah, that's why it's chandelier. - It's a chandelier, yes. - Ooh, wait a minute, oh, make it dark fry, yes. - Oh, that's the one on the box, that's the one on the box. - Mm, I don't have that yet, that's pretty sweet. Well, actually, for my little election, yeah. - Which one did you have, Mark? - Sorry, I totally overshadowed it again. - Chandelor, but I guess that's old hat, you always gotta outdo me every time I get something nice. - Chandelor is really good, Mark. Don't worry, you're doing great, honey. - Yeah, yeah, you just pulled the one on the box. I'm sure that that's a little. - I think the mega chandelor, other than the dark fry, the mega chandelor in the Primerina, were two of the cards I wanted the most in the set. - The chandelors, look, the chandelors on the box. Hacks, look, you got this one. - I guess it's true, I guess it's true. - I do wish I had some top letters over here. I didn't realize I was gonna get an actual pull. I didn't have for this set yet. - Oh, full art of the Russ Syndicate. - Oh my God. - Wow. - All right. - So, two people in suits with sunglasses sitting down the bridge of their nose, looking cool and official, maybe evil. - Aren't to tell, are syndicate's evil? I feel like a lot of them are. - I think if they're rusty, you know, that doesn't have to be evil. - They were evil, but they're out of practice. - Another Primo Promo, a half shiny fossil quarry. - It's a Laurentica, yeah, Laurentus. Laurentus, he acts as like a big fish with a, it's Luria, you can't see it. Why would you want, there it is. It's like it's got trailing pieces of goldfish behind it. It's like it's got various other fish dangling off of it to show off how deadly it is. And it's double shiny. It's like got the extra shimmery. - Though it's supposed to be an alluring praying mantis. - Yeah, what's that? That's a full art? - No, not full art, just double shiny. Just really shiny Yix. - My desk was not prepared for this today. I'm filling it up very quickly with the empty packs and cards while I'm being very methodical, but also same. We haven't seen any SIRs yet. - SIR, what's that? - The secret rare cards. - Oh my God. - Not a Karidon. - Big a Karidon meat. (laughs) - That's the thing, that's why he's called that. - Gladion's final battle. What is he gonna die? - Whoa, whoa. Wait, do you have the, oh, okay. - No, it's just a regular. - Yeah, I was like, whoa, whoa, whoa. - I don't know what happens to him. I don't know the lore. I don't know if he dies or if he just retires or what happens, but at least this final battle. - He definitely dies. - Whoa, whoa. Oh, hey, there's a full art chandelor, yeah. - But this is different than the one I just got. This is-- - That's a mega chandelor Yix, which is different than the mega chandelor Yix. Oh, actually, is that an SIR? That's a cool one. - That's not the SIR, that is a full art. The SIR is like a bit more zoomed in on the chandelor. - Yeah, what did I get last time? Yeah, I got a not full art mega chandelor. This is a full art chandelor, which looks like a chandelier, but there's also a second chandelier in the mistiness behind it. - It was three different chandelor hits. The Yix, the one marked out in the SIR. - That's pretty cool, aren't it? Okay, all right, okay, that gives me some points, probably, I don't know. - Yeah, absolutely, absolutely. - That's definitely gotta be worth something. One of my favorite cards in the set. - You're kicking Wade's ass right now. - Oh, man, I got a half shiny misty vitality though. - Oh, but the Darkrai Yix bringing me right back. - Oh, man. - Wade will never let it go unanswered. - Hadn't he beat me that round, the full art. He finally won around. - Yeah, yeah, finally. - Ah, it happened. - Yippee. - I feel the addiction. I feel the neural pathways reinforcing themselves to cause me to build this habit stronger and stronger with every one of these. - The dopamine. - Yay. - The dopamine by most. It's like when you guys ruined that one kid's life in college with, wow, we're gonna ruin your life with Pokemon. - Hey, he chose that, mostly. - You know, on eBay, someone's selling all the sets of cards up through pitch black master work, our master set for only $750,000. - Oh, you could just get it all done with all at once that you don't have to do any of this nonsense. - Yeah, you don't know where about the collecting. - Well, and also, I have to point out, I played, wow, just as much as Aaron did, and I turned out okay, so I think he's fine. Maybe not just as much, he actually played more than me. - He cut over to Aaron who's just got like, wires hooked into him to keep playing through his neural pathways. - I actually don't know if you did play just as much, but you did play a lot, and you were still able to go to your classes and shit and do what you needed to do. I have no concept of how much he played because he literally gave himself double carpool. I think that probably was more to do with like the environment with which he was playing in maybe he was I think he was playing on a laptop almost all of his time playing and laptops are terrible for your body man My wrist is still not right from using a college laptop. Yeah, so I'm pretty sure that I had to do with it Whereas I had to always have desktop seven. I always had wrist rests even to this day Dude, I didn't appreciate how sick your computer setup was what we lived together freshman year You had a free like pretty high-quality desktop gaming set. Oh, I got the full art two cannon Hey two canbras and you let me use it which was a bold move Mm-hmm yep, it sure was a lot of TF2 going on. I mean, I don't recall breaking it or anything, but oh he's right I don't ever see many heat trends today You're fine, man, but you let me use it. Oh hollow juice. Oh my god Is it half hollow or full hollow? What is this a sucking it? What is it? Sinistia. I read that wrong Sinistia suck at it dude. It's a suck in it. What could it mean? Sucking it. Oh man, I just can't decipher this one. It's just a fleshlight Oh, wait, wait, wait, wait, wait, wait, wait, wait, wait, wait, wait, wait, wait, that's an SIR This is an SIR that I do believe so mark if you look at the bottom left are there two gold stars on it? Yes, two gold stars. That's an SIR. That's the rarest pull of the day. Oh Shit more Pico that is one of the four five six rare cards you could get from this set. Is it six? Yeah, that's one of the rarest pulls Oh shit more pico x-shuffle Shit, it's set it's seven one of the seven rarest. It's one of the six SIRs than there's the super gold card But yeah, that that is that is the pull of the day. It's a little Durable looking things sprinting like jumping leaping towards the viewer. There's trash all around it. It's got red eyes Definitely looks like it belongs with the evil. It's got like this texture to it too. That's fun Should I be shaking and trying to sleeve this and then inevitably bend it as I sleeve it? Yeah, that's I think that's what you're supposed to do. Yeah, okay And then you look and you find out it had perfect alignment. So it was a PSA 10 so it's probably worth a couple hundred bucks And but you then you bent it so it's worth nothing nice That's definitely the winning pull so far. I think how he pulled it and Bob and I're like I just don't want to have spit flying and get on it so that you know it gets damaged. That's fair If I could have rigged that to happen. I would have here all yeah now. I'm gonna be I'm hopeless basically All right, I'm not putting it on top just in case I fly some spit and I get it on it Goldine bro. I joined Mark in the Goldine family Holy shit smash smash dude. I always thought there was something about Goldine Like it's still fish, but like there's something the name. It's the name, you know Is that horn? Maybe it's the way that little belly hangs out. Oh, I got the fuller dark bell. Oh And then and then I think don't need no dark bell. Well, we all pulled good cards there But mark one with the more peko you're on the song Goldine Goldine Goldine Goldine I don't remember peppered from Remembers. I couldn't think of a dolly part in Goldine pun. I tried. I just want you to know I tried I wonder if she ever won a Goldine Globe Probably though, right? Parting the pun. I should any Volophi Brabos did on best it on another Prima rena whoever ends up with the most Prima rena wins I actually don't think it's me. I think it's Mark right now. I think it's Mark Yeah, I feel like Prima rena has to be shiny, but you know Yeah, no, not regular ones, but if you have any kind of hollow or whatever special kind of Prima rena that counts Oblio Hey, there's a Prima rena. I'm catching up. Oh hell yeah. I make a rule and wait immediately strikes back Oh, that's all right. I don't have a chance No, Prima rena for Bob still though. I think that's better than any pitch black card. I've actually pulled really the Prima rena No, yeah, yeah, just the regular hollow Prima rena. Yeah, you know, I could see this This is I could see the fun in this you know as a group activity You know just being like hey look what I got look what I got whoa look what I got I know like loot boxes are real bad and this kind of stuff you know trying to get rare stuff is these angels But there's also some fun to it. There's a reason people get addicted to gambling, you know If it weren't for scalpers, this would be a really fun and great hobby. Yeah, whoa. I got a hey the dark cry bro I got a mega Dark cry Nice nice. How would you describe what he looks like Mark? Uh, okay, it's like it's kind of like a ghost eight way too much like a Thanksgiving dinner and is like You know kind of like that and he's tipping over at the dinner table about to plow head first into the ground Because also you drank too much And then there's swirls of dark energy that are pulling him because his sins have caught up to him and now he's being pulled down to hell Beautiful mark that barpeco that you pulled is worth $22 It's worth $67 if it gets a PSA 10 which it certainly will probably they just hand those things out for nothing What what qualifies a PSA 10? Uh, there's a bunch of stuff Yeah, make each other's no scratches dense or bends or anything, but also like do you see the lines around the car like the silver border If they're like perfectly even on all four sides and then also the back You can actually see on that one right there You can see the right edge is like a little thicker than the left edge so that yeah This the print is not centered or the cut is not centered whatever it is They also do there's one of them So there's different services that write them and there's one of them that takes like a 3D scan of the surface and surface imperfections is part of the thing that they grade on Which I think is really interesting because it shows like some of the cards just have like kind of naturally Bumpy surfaces from the print or something. It's weird. It's um Kind of arbitrary and kind of a scam, but I bet yeah Hey, look if I get a card that's worth $20,000 and it gets rated and I sell it for $20,000 I'm not going to complain. Yeah, true. I'm also not ever going to have that happen But I wouldn't complain, you know, so Molly pulled the uh full art umberion From prismatic evolution and by default just if you pull it It's like a $1,200 card, and I think it's like seven grand if it grades at a PS8 then and hers I it's not been graded, but it's the lines on it are pretty good. So I've debated on getting it graded Yeah, full art whale lord Well, it's an ex. Oh, whatever it's an ex. I hate to break your heart, but it's an ex It's not as good guy. Is that not good? Is that not good? No, it's good Just ex is like a little bit lower tier than the full arts typically. Oh my god Some exes are worth more like you some ex charzards are worth more than some other full arts and stuff See he doesn't just do it to you mark. He does it to everybody. It's okay, man. It's okay. I like your accomplishments Yeah, it's kind of represent the truth now. This guy cares about the truth. Oh, what's that? A double clock. Oh, Delphog, it's a starter Pokemon that Finne and Lincoln thinks final evolution. Well So imagine what's the word an anthropomorphic fox with a big hair and lots of fire and it's looking at you in a way that says Yes, mommy, but also that it might kill you. It's saying yes, mommy. You makes you say yes, mommy It's looking at it at a way in a way that makes you say yes, mommy. How do you know if a Pokemon is male or female? Uh most of them don't have them, but some of them it'll do full art. Manetic. Oh my nice. It's a dog with a pointy It's it's a dog cosplaying as the coneheads And there's electricity Shield on I you know what always pops into my head when I read shield on do you guys remember those old head-on Emersonals head-on applied directly to the head applied directly to the forehead. What was that stuff? Was it just like topical like pain killer? I don't know Because it was marketed as like this will fix your headaches and stuff But how would you possibly fix a headache with a topical cream? Lustic thing. I have no idea. They make like menthol and cam 4 like tiger balm like topical anesthetics like that But I don't know what that had all I know is you apply it directly to the head or head I think isn't it? Yeah forehead some kind of head wait you Considering your bold you got to try it and put it all over your head and see what it does My forehead does go all the way to the base of my neck in the back That's a lot ahead on way sitting there with a stick of head on like I'll take your entire stock These guys know their product. I got a use as directed. This is where we just develops a Life destroying like addiction to head on turns out if you don't have a headache It just gives you the worst headache. You could imagine. Oh, there we go. Oh Xerora Mahuma whole art zero or not the SIR but it is a full art zero. That's it. It's an EX. That's awful. Aren't that's an EX? No, this is a full art. The legies go down all the way down to. Oh, okay. It's just like the it's like that Shandle Lord It's the normal full art not the SIR one Oh, so Xerora man. It's like a cat Wolf that looks like it should be very electrical with some different blue and yellow crackling energy on its dark gray fur running away from a spilling picture of Kool-Aid. Fair enough, fair enough. That is scary. That is very scary. Ooh, what's this one? Oh, it's a Laurentus EX. The praying mantis. It kind of looks like toothless's head from how to train your dragon, but it's pink, and it has like teal accents, but it's not on the head of a dragon, it's on the head of like a weird like fishy, crabby bit. So it's kind of like a weird crab dragon situation. Ooh, an iron defender. Iron defender. Shiny, full iron defender. That's a good one, Mark. Yeah, isn't it? I like that one. That's when I have not seen a lot, and I think it's pretty cool art. All right, I'm down for that. Yeah, all right. Okay, it's a bottle of pills. [laughs] That's what it is, everyone at home. It's a big bottle of pills. EX Laurentus. It's like Bob. Ooh, nice. A nice pink praying mantis with a lot of fluff behind it. Why's it going to be nice and pink? Looks like a nice color pink, not like those bad color pinks, you know? All right, how many packs do we have left, boys? Three after this one, so four total. Oh, man, he's going faster. I get seven after this, and I'm going to catch up. Okay, hold on. Wait, wait, wait, we're going. I'm blasting through. Still have yet to see a god pack. I hear they exist. I had never seen one. I've had Molly and I have had a couple of demigod packs where you have like three hits, but never god pack. I've heard that term mentioned. I've never seen proof that it does exist. Oh, there's a full art. Full art, energy switch. Oh, what does that even mean? I don't know how this game works. It takes it from here. So, okay, imagine like a telephone, dumbbell, shaped portal device, and then a little ball on electric energy sitting on one side. Looks like it's about to get sucked up into one side and spat out on the other. I still don't know how that works in the game. I don't know what it means. I don't know that this is a thing in the actual game. These things have to be, I think, in the game. That's the cards are the game. Modern card games do a lot of bullshit. Or they'll be like, all right, we're dropping the special pack. It's not allowed in competitive play. It's against the rules and all game modes, but you can absolutely collect these cards if you're interested. Yay. Mark, I have a bad feeling about this one. About this one I'm holding right now. Yeah, I think it's going to be a lot and nothing. Yeah, energy. Shiny energy. That's pretty cool. My SIR is coming anytime. The Golden Dark Rise in here somewhere. Wait, I have a bad feeling about the rest of your packs. I don't want to be that guy. He's being that guy. He really wants to be that guy. I don't want to be that guy, but I really, really do. Oh, but look at this. Yeah, well, I did fully intend to send you one, but that you were like, I already have four of those boxes. Would you like some? I did have too many of them. It's the yes mommy one. Hey, you may get Del Fox. Yeah. Hey, Del Fox. She's a fox. So is that a smash? I don't know. I kind of really got to see him full body to make a judgment. Hmm. It's a not just hit. Oh, hey. Full art slow, bro. It's our first one of these tonight. Oh, that's right. He's so small. No, he's slow, Mark. All right. So he's a little, what is slow, bro's animal supposed to be like a, not a sloth, but it's kind of like a bear, but kind of like a bear mixed with not bare stuff with what looks like a drill bit with eyes for a tail, and standing on a time legs, looking up, hopefully, well, it's shelter. Isn't it, isn't it like a conch shell? Yeah, it's shelter. It's literally shelter, but shelter turns into a rounded version of the shell. More to become the tail, rather than the normal looking like clam, slowpoke, a lot of slowpoke these days. All right. My last pack, everyone. Wow. God, you're so fast. I do this a lot. Wade has opened so many of these. Molly's even faster than I am. Oh, look at this guy. Full art, armor Rouge. That's a beautiful card, too. Oh, armor Rouge. Wow. Looks like Mega Man, but in fire mode, it kind of does. My dark cries in this pack, last pack magic, everyone, last pack magic is coming up. Backtrack badge. It's Manectric. Now that's going to pop into my head every fucking time. Thank you for that. Yeah, you're welcome. For first relic hand, map a stiff, and all Bob is right just that you know the last one. Yep. Damn. How many you got left, Mark? Like four or five? I got three more after this. Well, we've come this far. All right. Got a fire energy. Got a Pokemon. Got a dolphin. Literally a dolphin. Type no. Got this. Grubbing. Got a Dermodomum. Got the Rusty dudes. Got the Hot Boy. Electric Dog. Got a literal fish. Oh, a more pico. Oh, that's the one I got the other one of, yeah. More Peco EX? Yeah, it's your SIR. That's the EX version. Yeah. Nice. Okay. So I had 15 hits in 36 packs, a little less than one out of two. Oh, I got the enormous bomb, tremendous bomb, just like Mark, it looks like a tremendously large bomb. Yes, but there's really nothing to put the perspective on it. So we don't know how big it actually is. But there's actually a person next to it for scale, but they're so small, you can't see it. Damn, that's a tremendously big bomb. It's tremendous. Can I go through and show off my hits again? How many hits did you say you had, Wade? 15, eight full arts, 70 X's, actually more full arts than the X's. Well, you guys are finishing up your packs. I'll just go through and Artos and then I hate playing my fingers on these since they're not in sleeves. But it's okay. My master said it's done. This is just for fun. I don't need the panting. Oh, Mantis, Goldine, Zeroora, Slow Bro, Energy Sweet, and we get to the EX's, Mantis, Delphops, Darkrai, Ex-Gradriel, I don't think I had any dupes. Way lower, Slow Bro, and the EX ran Partis. I didn't think I had any dupes in here. That's pretty interesting. I feel like that doesn't happen when I open a lot. I always end up hitting the same, like a couple of the same EX's or something. I've got one more. This is going to be crazy. Last pack magic. I'm going to literally shit myself. And this is called bulk, everybody. The cards that we collected that weren't hits. Here's a nice stack of our bulk from what a booster box had. I have 14 hits, but I have five packs unopened still. Based on my luck, then you should have at least one or two more hits in there. I don't know how many I have. I'm trying to just get through this. This is the last one, by the way. Last pack magic. Mark's about to pull an absolute legend. The Baby Bomber, the Pablo, and the Shadow, and the Energy. Oh, there's one more. Sorry. It was hidden behind the tuck. It was tucked behind the sleeve. The secret actual last pack. Oh, that's why that one didn't hit. This is the real last pack. Is there such a thing as like there's a pack that's hidden actually in the box? And, you know, it's not revealed at first. I have, so I've thrown a lot away. You have to split the cardboard in half to find it. The game was like the cards against humanity had that where there was a card like under the inside the box of the main game. Wasn't it always like the dick card? It was like the biggest, blackest dick card or something. All right. Here we go. This is actually my last. This one's good. A slap. This one's good. A wreck your faces. That guy. That guy that I've seen a thousand times, these are too many of these. How many tremendous bomb, this guy, it's a type null, inky, and it's achieved just like Wade's last one. Oh. And that's all she wrote. All right. Count them up, sir. How many, how many to end it up in your hits pile? Did you make a hits pile? Yeah. I have a hits pile. I'm rich, right? I mean, honestly, you're the richest one here, probably, because you pulled that, you pulled that one, S.I.R. was about 108 packs with one S.I.R. Yeah. I've got one of this guy. I've got this thing, the arm of Blama and it's two, the three for the, that one, the iron pills for the cone head five, the too much at dinner, six, mega slow, bro, seven. This special one, eight, and this mega chandelier nine, 10, another chandelier 11, the thief, the evil, 12, tremendous bomb upside down is 13, wait, I think I just pulled this aside because it was bonus way, Lord. Yeah, I don't think that one counts. The shiny golden, 14, and again, I was just like, oh, woolly, I thought it was rare. And then the headbutter's 15 and it's making it all right, 15, 15, wait, so you're both at 15. Bob, is that help you for just hurting points? Sure. Sure. I probably does. I think the S.I.R. probably gives him a boost. And Bob has an S.I.R. and one of his last five packs, probably. I mean, I have to, right? Either a god pack or an S.I.R. has to be, I got, I got a couple more left here. I would love to see a god pack. Nothing. Two, two packs left, I do believe. Well, all Bob's opening the pack. Make sure if you guys haven't already we've been promoting the hell out of it so you probably know about it But the scary tapes are coming out this month and there have been Four episodes out now by the time this airs think for the time this airs there will be three but more importantly and Interestingly, I'm gonna talk about this later, but this exists now and it's cool as shit. We're getting one of those, right? I want one. I want to talk about that in a minute though because I gotta open my cards I was ten seconds. I was like two seconds away from having my name in that book Yeah, your name's definitely not gonna be in the book though. Yeah, you and I tied and both lost which was crazy That was pretty funny. You weren't there. You don't know the other day never know what we're talking about I don't know what you're talking about. Oh, there you go. There's the Del Fox Del Foxy eggs So that's 16 hits now for me. Oh damn it. You rigged it. I win my own game I host next time where we'll be unboxing 30th anniversary booster boxes. Oh, please if you send me some please I have to make some more that if I could I would oh Bird was showing me that Walmart has been releasing like Raffle things. Yeah, yeah, Target's gonna be doing that soon too. I got a 30th anniversary ETB in the raffle and then I got the double booster pack so I've opened like 19 30th anniversary packs. I haven't gotten any crazy stuff, but I think Target is doing one tomorrow at like two o'clock Pacific with like five o'clock or something. I think Target's gonna want tomorrow for the same other thing. All right. This is my actual last pack Not a god pack Go figure Silence we're just so into it. All right Are you still 16 15 15 so our odds were pretty similar. That's pretty consistent Like they've got this figured out. It's like it's math So Bob had the most hits mark had the best hit and I was here too. Yeah, there's a there's a few cards mixed in here That are not like hits that are like mark had where they're like the the cool art or whatever, but I did I don't know if I showed it. I hit a full art full mantis while mark was doing his last one. I think that's a nice one Ah, there goes. It's fine. It's fine. I'm not getting any great anyway Don't worry. It was just the full art Silvelli that fell out the middle of the thing. That's one of those pulled today I've got the rest of the like random shinies in these so I don't know why I Thought if we all did the same thing the scores would be further apart now that we've all opened all these Pokemon cards Let's talk about who scored how many? All right In no particular order Wade you earned points for Paul Froe's class blocker or Presley Fitty point talking about war dogs and then all of your hits earned you a total of 18 points a lot of points Mark you earned small talk points for I do believe in ghosts now You are adjacency to a crime that occurred and you beat up a nine-year-old to get your Pokemon cards on top of that All of your hits earned you 18 points, but mark also got a bonus point For getting the best pull of the the opening because he did pull the uh, what was it the Marpeko ex? S.I.R. Yeah, the Marpeko S.I.R. Which is pretty sweet. It's got two little stars on it. It's very special and fancy Yes, I am well based on our pulls mark. It was a one and a hundred and eight chance of being pulled damn 28, but I opened way more than a hundred and eight cards. Yeah, but per pack. I was going to pack per pack I see I see I see only nerds measure per card. Can you get more than one? I say our per pack if you don't get a god Well, yeah, if you get a demigod pack, you can't I think demigod pack there's god packs demigod packs and yeah or reference for everyone at home We all have basically the same piles here, but this is all of the cards that we opened that are not of particular interest And this does not include the stack of energies that we got. This is just energy cars. Yeah, I've got my energies and my My online cards in this stack. This is just a bulk stuff. It's about Seven inches tall stack of just cards and these out of 36 packs that I opened These are all of the cards that I thought were either interesting enough because of the card that it is because it's like cool card or cards I particularly liked like the I like the art on this reverse hollow electric So I pulled this side even though that's not a valuable card. I just like it So if you're thinking about getting into Pokemon, you can't afford it. Why an MSRP? Don't let the scalpers win Yeah, I will say these these boxes were purchased at MSRP and they were still kind of expensive But it was fun. Mark. Are you addicted? Oh, man addiction takes a while to actually form I'll know once I get away from it a little bit how hard the craving is so I'll report back to another booster box Well, you guys don't know if I've I've been ordering on eBay this whole time as well That's why it took me so long to get through all of them in a month mark will be like okay, so I bought one of those Charizard's everyone's so hot about and All the $250,000 like PS8 10 or the million dollar first edition PS8 10 I thought I thought the first edition PS8 10 would be a good way to give my foot in the door You know, yeah, I bought both actually just because I was like whatever So what we just opened the 36 packs There's one of these for sale for the base set the original set that came out but first edition for like $700,000 for 36 packs of the original set good lord and there's at least Three good cards in that while the rates are probably very different for such an old box of packs You said they used to do different. I'm sure it's changed, but like the rate the maybe it's better Maybe got a better chance to get good stuff out of that because they didn't know it was gonna be worth millions and millions of dollars Maybe maybe Anyway, that was fun. I this is another one where I had fun so I don't really care that much But I'm curious how people are gonna like this because I don't know if that was fun to consume at all But that's the nature of the show they let me pick whatever I wanted and so we did Pokemon cards I enjoyed that quite a bit mark is currently winning 19 to 18 But we have some stupid wheel bullshit that we've got to do that is definitely Definitely not gonna do anything terrible like force me to do one-man show or anything like that be really funny But sad if it did it was waiting for the biggest pull of it all for this moment here I I had biode had had to have gotten some way better pulls if I'm gonna have to do another one-man show because of Pokemon cards Anyway, how many spins will we do that's the first question one for the tie Chat your fucking face hole god damn you one for the tie It's one then okay good hooray. Oh, I have to add something um Is mark addicted to a Pokemon? I don't know who would get the point in that case Yeah, no, you know what plus one point if mark addicted to Pokemon. Oh wait. No, it has to decide who gets it though. Well future us can figure it out right? We usually do plus one point To mark if mark is addicted to Pokemon all right, it's something to get my uh my finances back up, you know Yeah, Pokemon really is an investment. You know at least unlike all the gotchas If you're not if you're not paying stupid prices for the boxes of stuff and you get decent hits like at least they retain some value in like all of my old Gotcha addictions saying you're old uh, what's that dragon ball game docon your old docon account doesn't have any value You say that's just down the drain. I mean, I might be able to sell that account. I don't know, but I haven't he said Stalling the stupid spin to see if there's gonna be another tie because it's stupid Come on give a point to mark Please don't land on the what I just added please Most self sabotage, but do you have a sabotage ourselves? I feel like we were pretty chill today. I don't know Small talk didn't really do anything for that Uh, I don't think there was any self says to I think that's a respin Good hooray another chance for good good great things to happen to me Drank the most I had my coffee. I had whole cup of coffee. He had a whole cup of coffee. I've only had a few steps of waters I think I that one goes tomorrow. Oh, they get finally. All right Frank the most congratulations mark. Give us a winner speech. Thank you. It is been delightful to go through these Card packs haven't done this since I was a kid, but you know, I probably won't rip any unless they uh, they get put in my hand Not the cards the packs themselves although maybe that would be an enticing live stream For me to rip the cards themselves. This is the time we're marking out since he's got a PO box He's like only if people send me cards also you can send me cards. That's what you guys want to do If you if you did a stream on your channel that was like ripping any sr's I pull in half People would tune in just to scream at you the whole time. Anyway, congratulations mark Wait, loser speech. I came I saw I had worse pulse. I tried Honestly, you had almost as good full still and I didn't drink a whole cup of coffee. I have some regrets That's what you get for not hydrating. That's your punishment. You should hydrate better I just had water. I know. I don't think this equates to a cup of coffee. I'm like no mark mark slam that cup of coffee He deserves the win. I did finish my first water bottle, but like I still think it equates to his full cup of coffee. Well Congratulations to Mark and now they're at the part where I'm going to wrap it up. I want to say, Wade brought this up, we are releasing the Scary Tape's episodes, but also the Scary Tape Anthology exists as seen on Hit Podcast Distractable, right there on the thing. That's why they call him Poke Mark. That's his name and he earned it. That's it, that's the one. Oh, see you next time when Poke Mark will host, podcast out. Have to be so bad. Yes!

FAQs

Bob feels that mentioning Mark and Wade in that order feels more natural to his brain, even though it's not strictly alphabetical. He suspects this might be due to a subconscious preference for certain word orders in speech, similar to how 'big red bus' sounds more natural than 'red big bus'.

The hosts acknowledge that while they don’t believe in ghosts, the experience of ghost hunting can be entertaining and fun. They see it as a form of imaginative play, similar to childhood make-believe, and emphasize that it’s not about proving the supernatural but about enjoying the wonder and improvisational elements.

The hosts were on a live stream when unusual events occurred, including strange radio frequencies, lights, and distant jokers. They were briefly mistaken for being swatted, but it turned out to be a coincidence. A break-in was reported, and the hosts were briefly searched, though no arrests were made.

They describe War Dogs as a fun, engaging game with diverse gameplay options like combat, base building, and supply delivery. Playing solo allows for logistics-focused strategies, while group play offers more excitement. They enjoy the game's unpredictable and humorous dynamics.

A Master Set is achieved when a collector has at least one copy of every unique card in a specific Pokémon set. This includes all the base Pokémon, trainers, and special cards. The process involves opening booster packs and collecting specific cards like Secret Rares (SR) and EX or full-art cards.

Opening booster packs with scissors or a knife is easier than trying to pull them apart manually. It allows for quicker access to the cards inside and helps in efficiently separating the packs, especially when collecting or organizing cards.
