Online Fitness Business: 0-10k per month. Step-by-Step Guide.

This guide outlines a framework for health and fitness coaches to consistently reach $10k monthly revenue. The first step is crafting a compelling offer with an aspirational name that resonates with the target audience. Pricing should be strategic, favoring upfront payments to improve cash flow and reduce risk, while also offering split-pay or discounted annual options to accommodate different clients. Deliverables must include a clear plan, educational content, accountability support, and a strong community to ensure client retention and results.
Marketing is centered on selecting one primary platform, such as Instagram, to build a visible brand presence. Content should address client concerns, showcase transformations, and be universally relatable to overcome skepticism. Crucially, every post must include a clear call-to-action to initiate conversations and convert followers into paying clients. The emphasis is on positioning coaching not just as information, but as a paid service for execution and long-term lifestyle change, attracting clients willing to invest in their goals.
The most important goal for every health and fitness coach is to get their business to 10k per month. It's the first milestone that really indicates that you know what you're doing, you're trusted by the marketplace, and you're making money that you can use to start building the dream life that you want. In this video, I'm going to run you through the five most important things that you need to understand and have in place in order to crush 10k months, every single month, and set yourself up for even bigger months down the line. First thing that we need to get clear on is our offer. Offer is essentially what you can do for people on how you can help them. It involves a couple of things. Number one, it involves a name. I.e. your program has to have some kind of name. So when it comes to naming, the best way to name your coaching program is to name it or run what's called an aspirational identity. So for example, my company is called Fitness Entrepreneur. The reason why it's called Fitness Entrepreneurs because many coaches that are in fitness aspire to be grit entrepreneurs. The second thing that you've got to get clear on is price. Now, price is really subjective. You price your services based on what you're worth. And here's a couple of really important points that you need to consider. Number one is what have people tried before, what have they typically spent, why have they failed, and how much is that typically costing people? That's usually a lot of money. Most people have tried to lose weight or tried to get in shape 101 times and they've spent a fortune. If you just look at what people spend on aesthetics, liposuction, botox, even just look good, people are willing to pay hundreds, if not thousands of dollars, pounds and euros to look their best. If you look at what people pay for a dress, if you look at what people pay for a handbag, shoes, you need them. They're paying a lot for an item that is essentially a liability rather than the most important thing, which is themselves, which is an investment. Another factor that plays into price is what does it cost you to actually deliver the service? Another thing as well is what is the best in the industry? I eat my meal in competitor or somebody that I aspire to be, charging, and what is the opposite end of the spectrum charging as well. And you've got to position yourself in respect to those people. There are essentially three ways to price your services. The first one is upfront pricing. Upfront pricing, typically like it says, is when you are paid upfront for work. A business that collects the most amount of cash is the one that's going to grow the fastest. So if you've ever been a PT before or you've ever got paid in advance for something, like a client comes in and says, "Hey, I want to work with you for six months straight. There's six months payment upfront for the sessions. You're pretty cash-rich. You can go and spend it on whatever you want. You can go and put it back into your business. You can enjoy it. You can put it in your bank and client. You can do whatever." It's nice to get paid in advance. If you look at businesses that take longer to get paid, they're at more risk. So when somebody's paying you over a period of time, it's called revenue at risk. And the reason why I'm teaching you this, guys, if you're below 10K, is so important. Is when you start growing your business and you start paying for advertising and you start adding team members, if you're waiting longer to collect that cash, it exposes you to more risk. And you need more and more and more and more clients to hit your numbers. First is getting paid up in advance. So upfront allows for lower volume, higher value. So if you look at somebody that sells an app, that's typically low value, high volume. And constantly chasing leads all the time is a lot of work. The next one is a split pay. So a split pay is when you fragmented up over two or three payments and somebody ends up paying it over time. Not ideal, but you still get the money. And again, the beauty of this thing here, having an upfront and a split is that it allows you to lower the bar. Lowering the bar allows somebody that is maybe skeptical or can't afford it to come into your coaching program, get value out of it and want more. And that's the reason why they pay. So you technically have to back up your worth on a split pay. Like you have to provide what you promise in order to get people to retain and stay with a split pay. And then there is a 12 month upfront. And that's basically paying upfront for 12 months of the year. These are going to be your best clients. So I'm going to run you through quickly how you sell us. We'll kind of numbers the price of that and we'll take it from there. Now, before I go into this, there are essentially two components to the way that you make money in your business. So there are cash collected, which is new cash. And then there's MRR, which is monthly recurring revenue. When you look at your offers, I'm going to run you through these offers. Let's say upfront. What we want to do is have a period here of three months or 90 days. I like to call it activation. Where we get to know you, you get to know us. We get to really knuckle down and building out your plans, your strategies and getting to know you. And then after three months, it goes into a backend plan where we're continually working, refining, tweaking, optimizing and improving. Let's give a prime example of bare basic pricing for a coach that's got, like I said, 10 life changing transformations, practices, what they preach. We want to price this. Let's just say one K is a grip list to start. It's not too high. It's not too low. It works out around about 333.33 per month. But you collect it on day zero at the very start. And this is a really important piece to understand is yes, you could charge three hundred and thirty three points a month, but it would take you three months to collect it, which means that the revenues at risk. And when you start growing your business, this is the most important part you must listen to. When you start growing your business, IE, you have a client base of 50 or 100 clients, and you need to start getting more clients and kind of everybody knows who you are, and you want to grow even further, you are going to have to start paying to get clients at some point, paying to use Instagram to advertise, paying to use Facebook to advertise, paying referrals, paying collaborators, paying people that run Facebook groups to say, "Hey, can I speak in front of this crowd?" That is a very wise thing to do because you're paying to get in front of people that have the pinpoint that you solve in the right area. So let's just say if it costs you 300 quid to get a client and you're charging three hundred and thirty three points a month, well, but the time you take into a client the cost to get the client, the cost of your software, if you've got a coach working for you, you're actually not making profit for the first month. Whereas with this scenario, you are making profit because you've got left over money. And that is a beautiful thing of this. Whoever kind of forward to spend the most to get a client and serve a client is the one that wins. The backend could be something very simple, like 250, and you're just basically free on this front end, as your transformation period. Now how do you split this up? Well, a split pay could be two payments of 550 over the 90 days. 45 days apart, you just spread it, and it goes into the same thing. There's a little bit of interest on it because again, there's more risk of suicide with it, it takes a little bit longer to collect. If we look at what it typically costs for somebody to join and stay for a full year, well, 250 multiplied by nine months plus a K for three months is 325. Oh, now if somebody were to come and pay up front for 12 months, we could discount that 500 quid. We could charge 2750. Long story short, the way that you would sell that is, hey, you can come and work with us also for 12 months being shipped 24/7 every season of the year and have full accountability for the year, have you ever been shipped before throughout the whole entire year, throughout all the seasons? Yes or no, would you like to be? Cool, here's the deal. Look, we typically work by charging 1K for 90 days in the 250 a month, which works like at 3,250 for the year, or look, you can come and work with us for 12 months and we'll give you 500 quid cash back in your hand. You can go and use on supplements, your gym membership, etc. But you have got full coverage. You want to sell your coaching with two frames. Number one, quick results will get you to this point in time frame and then back end, which is insurance, i.e. after we've got this result, it's about making sure that you retain it and also making sure that you continue to improve from that point onwards. Okay, so really important for you. You don't just come and get a result for six weeks and then leave. You don't just go to the gym or start an online coaching program and then all of a sudden stop. You need to keep doing it all the time so it becomes a standard way of living. And you know, the way that you frame this is like this is what you've got to pay to access your future self. Your best clients will be excited to invest in you. Your worst clients will be constantly questioning the investment of why is it worth that why do I need to do this? How can I do it for free? Cheapskits try and get away with free information and they stay stuck below their potential because they don't want to pay the price of admission to get what they want. And if you have clients that are constantly just going from one YouTube to an Instagram reel to asking you questions to engaging with you and just asking like, how do I do this? How do I do that? They will never change. You're charging for not information. You're charging for execution and implementation. So I can give you all this free content about how to take your business to 10k a month. But you know what? 99.9% of people watching this aren't going to do it. Why? Limiting beliefs. They're going to get stuck on their own head. They're going to run into a scenario that they don't know how to do. How to fix. They're going to need help to fix it. And if they don't get that help and they're going to retreat and they're going to go backwards. So share your best stuff. Anyway, pricing is really important. So the way that I recommend that you sell this is as follows. You lead with the split pay first. So hey look, here's how the pricing works. It's really simple. It's two payments of 550 over 90 days. Love it or leave it. You can go anytime. And then after that, once we activate your first results or get your first initial whatever figure it is in weight loss, we then go into a backend where we continually refine and improve it and make sure that your body is fully adopted and embracing all a change and that you're not going backwards. One thing that we've seen with clients is that they need long-term insurance and protection with our results. On the other hand, we have an upfront which is 1k. It saves you 100 quid so you can go and put that into whatever or if you're 100% all in, fully committed to your transformation and want to be in ship year round. We've got this option on. We'll even put 500 quid cash back in your hand. There's loads of creative ways that you could adjust this offer. You could actually charge more. Like you could charge 4k and say, hey, there's just six months in-person training with me. So you could stack it. You could stack in supplements. You could stack in other stuff that you've created before and give it as a gift. Who knows? Neym, aspirational identity, price point. I'm now going to go on to deliverables. And I'm going to keep this really simple. There are five core deliverables that every plan must have. Number one, it must have a plan. I eat clients want to know what to do. They want to know what to focus on. What actions to take. Hydratrine, how to eat, how to think, how to get them productive, all that stuff. You need to build them a plan. So again, go back to your younger self or the older self or the previous results that you've got with clients and they've all involved some kind of roadmap or journey or plan. That gives clients optics. The second thing is you need to give them some form of training and education around high to make better choices. If you're a health and fitness coach, what are the three core things that you need to teach people on? It's going to be nutrition, training, lifestyle and mindset. So create trainings around that. Whether it's one-off trainings, whether it's interviewing an amazing client, whether it's doing an ask me an anything session or whether it's sharing your own experiences about the big challenges that you had and some tools and frameworks. You can really create creative insightful educational material that's uniquely yours and becomes a part of your offer. Support and accountability. So when do they get check-ins? I recommend check-ins every two weeks, not every week. Why? Because two weeks gives you more data. Unless it's a competitive athlete or something like that where it needs to be really fine-tuned. They've got an ass-a-ass button so if they're really stuck, they can press it. I said that you've got training throughout the course of the week. So if you run two or three or four group Zoom calls, they're themed on different things. They could be an ask me an anything session. They get on stuck session, a planning session, a teaching session, and they know that calendar and they can come in and they can go and sign in to a training and go and get the value that they need, whether it's getting on stuck, asking a question or even sharing a win. And then the last thing is community. So this is really important. People come for results but stay for the community and that's why it's important to have an aspirational identity behind your community because people want to be associated with other strong moms. They don't want to be associated with weak moms. They do want to be associated with people that aren't aligned with their values. One of the hardest things about getting in shape is putting other people that were close to you, noses out of joint. IE, you don't drink anymore, you don't do this anymore, you need to go home by this time, you need to train tomorrow, etc. You train on holiday, why are you not resting and having prasako by the pool? So like-minded people, like to be around, like-minded people. All of the clients that come to work with us love being a run like-minded fitness entrepreneurs that are interested in building their wealth, building their future, building a great reputation and most importantly building a life of massive freedom where they don't have to work all the time. The next thing that I want to teach you is about making offers. You need to find one good platform. Now again, this really depends on where your market hang out. Let's use the example of strong moms. Very good chance that a lot of them are on Instagram scrolling through fashion items, recipes and all that kind of stuff and you need to have a presence there to showcase people who you are, what you do and how you can help them. Now it all starts by naming your profile specifically around who you help. The kind of results you get and a clear call to action. I'm going to create separate trainings on this but having a clear station profile, place where people can come and window shop your stuff. That's how you want to look at your Instagram. It's almost like a shop front. So if people can go there and go and watch and observe and look at who you are, get a taste and flavor of what you're like as a person, what kind of results that you get, how your program works, what it's like behind the scenes to see you building it and growing it, seeing you interacting with your community and how your community interact with each other. Those are great messages that you can showcase every other day or every day on your profile. Building up a portfolio of content around those things is going to create the signal and message to the marketplace of here's who I am, here's who I help, here's a little bit about me as a person and who you're going to be getting to work with and the brain and thinking behind all of this stuff. And here's a kind of example of the results that we get. Here's the community that we have. You want to answer the questions that people are thinking but not saying. What is it like to work with them? What happens as soon as I join? What kind of results do they get? What kind of people do they work with? What kind of scenarios do they work with best? And that leads me to the point about your marketing. When you are creating content, one of the most important rules about your content is to make your program course certification, whatever it may be, universally applicable to everyone. This is for you, even if you have three kids and work from home. This is for you, even if you're retired and you've hit menopause. This is for you, even if you're going on holiday. You want to kill all of them in the market's mind that there is anything holding them back from getting a result to working with you because the market are skeptical. And the more you do this, the better. I'm not going to run into what content to post every single day. I'm going to create separate trainings on that. I'm giving you the high level overview of what you need to do. Now, when you create this content, you then create the opportunity for people to engage with you. And the most important thing with every single post, I don't care what people say. I've been doing this a very long time and have helped more people get off the gym floor and build six to seven figure businesses than anybody else. But the ones that make the most of my div money are the coaches that put out a call to action every single day. Call to action is essentially saying to people, hey, I can help you. Here's where you go. Here's what you need today. Do you want it or do you not? When it comes to call to actions, I'm going to give you a couple of really good examples. The traditional one is I'm looking for five women who want to totally reinvent themselves in the next 365 days. Want to build rock hard muscle, want to lose fat around their thighs. I want to heal their relationship with food. If this signs like you, drop me a DM with the word axe and we'll chat. Another prime example is if you want to lose axe and we're in axe time without common frustration, giving up weekends, giving up the food that you love. Let me teach you how to do this. I'm taking on new clients this month and I'm keen to create some of the best transformations possible. Another example is I'm taking on new clients this month. I'm looking for brand new success stories that well, one brick people's next turning and looking around. I'm amazing the transformation is and leave people in doubt. There's so many ways you could do it. So these call to actions can be put at the end of content. They can be put stand alone. But the goal is to one relate to someone as in I want that goal. I want that aspirational outcome and it gives them a clear call to action. Give me a drop me a message. I'll be standing by my phone for the next 12 hours. I've got some free time. I'm going to be able to answer your questions. And the goal of that is to start a conversation and that conversation can be progressed with text. It can be progressed with audio note, but it's very simple. When they reach out, thanks so much for reaching out. We'd love to help. Tell me a little bit about your circumstances right now and what you're struggling with the most. Many of my best performing clients fit exactly the same challenges. List three to five challenges. What are your goals for the rest of the year? What would you like to achieve? Get them to list. How is that working for you right now? Are you on track? No, I'm not. Would you like some help? Yes, how does it work? What way is it priced? Well, I can't talk about price until I get to sit down with you and get clear on what you need help with and how I can help you. Would you be free for a call tomorrow at 3 pm to 4 pm? And we can run through absolutely everything. And if you feel safe, aligned, excited, then we can agree a mutual start did. If not, you'll still walk away with some really good ideas on how to drop your next 10 points, feel better about yourself or whatever. Very casual, non-pressurizing, super clean, it opens up conversations. I can go into loads of different ways to start conversations, but I'm going to give you a really simple piece of homework. Start 10 conversations a day. And either those 10 conversations make 10 offers a day. That means would you like to have a call? Would you like help? Those are examples of offers. You start those conversations by posting on your stories, posting on your feed, and also interacting with new followers, interacting with people that are the most engaged in your stories that look like ideal prospects. Because if you are producing content, a rind, solving a problem, a rind, a particular niche, a rind, a particular problem, then you're going to attract those people into your sphere of awareness. So for example, I have a lot of fitness professionals that interact with my stuff. I also have a lot of business owners that interact with my stuff. So I constantly have people that I can start conversations with. And if you're fearful or worried about signing seals e or awkward and starting a conversation, you probably shouldn't be in business because you have an ethical and moral responsibility to go, hey, I've noticed that you've been engaging in my content, really appreciate it above what stands out the most for you. Are you working towards any goals right now? How's that going for you? One of the challenges that you're currently facing would love to provide some insight and help. Ah, I can identify with those men and my best performing clients, struggle with exactly the same thing. Also, while I'm here, like, do you need some help? I'd love to chat about how we could work together. Like, what's the worst thing that can happen? Somebody ghost you? Somebody says, no, who cares? Move on, get over yourself and stop being so selfish. And actually start realizing that you've got a responsibility to offer people help, make them offers, and drive that conversation to a seal. And you must be getting paid whenever you're solving problems for people. That's how you create fair exchange. You're not a charity, nor are you there to rob people. You have to get paid for the work that you're putting in because one, you're putting time into watching this video. I'm putting time into watching this video is costing you money, right? It's energy, it's effort, it's risk, it's taking time away from your family, taking time away from your life. That is really important that you are making at least 10 offers and starting 10 conversations every single day. Now, I would have run you through very, very quickly, how to set your week up for maximum success. And this is the key point that is really important for so many of you. Whenever you are building your week, there are three different gears that you can be in, right? Number one is push, which is essentially when you are working really, really hard. It's back to back. You're pushing, you're building, you're scaling, you're growing. The next one is pull, and the next one is rest. I want to share with you an on popular truth. You will hear people say to you that you need to rest, that you need to switch off in business. You can't do that when you're under 10k a month, okay? You can't switch off. Why? Because you're having to build your reputation, you're having to work really hard to get noticed, you're having to serve your current clients, you probably don't have the money to build a team and all the work relies on you, all the value relies on you. So it's very hard to switch off permanently. So you can just go away and holiday and take a week off because you haven't built the beliefs, the skill sets, the money, the capital to be able to buy the right team. Get out of your way. Build the right model. Heck, if you're watching this right now and you're watching it this far, there's a very good chance that you don't have the model or nothing's built up and your clients are literally on your phone, and well, you're at their beacon and call. And you have to go through a season of working really, really hard, being like literally in the dirt and experiencing what it's like to feel overworked overwhelmed. So that later down the line, if you keep sticking to this path, and it's a line with your vision and where you want to go, that you know what it's like and you are willing and open to delegating and building the team. And that is where you build new skills, new beliefs and level up as an entrepreneur. You have to go through seasons of frustration and sheer work in order to exit them, okay? So push, pull and rest and I'm going to show you how to design your week for maximum success. So if I said Monday, Monday in my opinion is a day where you set it up to do ideation and working on content ideas. Monday is not a good day for calls first thing in the morning, running trainings for your clients. Nobody likes Monday 9am. So I would genuinely recommend that you use Monday as ideation and research for your business, right? Ideation and research. It's essentially working on your business. What does my content look like? What is the stuff that's buying? What is the stuff that hasn't? What are my plans for the week? What am I focusing on? Etc. I'm also as well making offers. You should be making offers every single day, even when you're resting. If you're not at 10k for months yet, make offers. An offer is going to make your bank balance grow. It's going to make your reputation grow. Tuesday is a heavy day. So Tuesday could be client check-ins. It could be trainings on stock calls where you're helping clients solve stuff. And essentially it's a fill push day. On the Monday, I like having Monday slightly lighter because it means that you can come into the wake and be fresh and be light and know that you haven't got a ton of shit on. That just works for me and my best performing clients that are below 10k per month and really get overt very quickly. Wednesday is another push day. So again, Wednesday is same thing. Seals calls, check-ins, scheduling content, posting, it's full on. Thursday is another similar day. Full push. Seals calls you should be making yourself available for at least three hours a day. Three hours here, three hours here, three hours here that's nine hours of sales calls. Seals calls are where you will learn how to market. Is this where you will speak to the marketplace, learn their problems, learn their challenges and everything else. So Thursday is sales calls and working in the business. Friday is a pool day. And I like to use Friday as a day to review and close loops, follow-ups, etc. You could also as well put in maybe one or two sales calls or follow-up calls or whatever. Saturday should be a pool day. One of the best times to work is Saturday morning between 9 and 11. Again, exactly the same as this day. Close loops ends and plan. And Sunday is a day of rest. When you take time off social media, rest, recharge your batteries. If you want to post content you can. If you want to make offers that you can, but it's optional. And essentially, it's there to rest and recharge. Every single day you should have a piece of content going out with a call to action. Every single day you should be showing some element of your lifestyle or something about you. Every single day you should be posting what goes on inside your coaching program results, what clients have said. Every single day you should be doing call to actions. If you look at this, this works really in line with the natural flow of your energy. If we started the weekend, we worked for the first part of the morning, then we enjoy our Saturday evening. We then go into Sunday and we rest. We then know that we've got like a bank holiday money, but we start later on in the day. Maybe 10 o'clock, 11 o'clock, 12 o'clock. You have slow mornings. It will just work better for your psychology and your mental health and your energy. Choose these hardcore, wednesdays hard, Thursdays hard, Friday is a half day. So Friday you could start work at 1 p.m. 2 p.m. going book something in. You know, it's important that you do plan in fun family, health, outside of your business. I personally recommend that the first thing that you plan on your week and I recommend planning before 1 p.m. on a Saturday. The first thing that you put in is health. Second thing that you put in is fun. And third thing you put in is family. And the fourth thing is business. The reason why I put family in third here is because if your health isn't right, if you're not training, if you're not eating properly, you're going to feel like shit. If you feel like shit, you're going to be annoying to be a Ryan. Fun? Well, you're going to be a nightmare if you're bored for your clients and your family. So your clients need you at your best. Your family need you at your best. And when you're at your best and you've looked after all the stuff that's important, then you can really pour yourself into business activities, fully dialed in, fully energized and ready to rock. FAQs
The first milestone is reaching $10,000 per month, which shows you are trusted, know what you're doing, and can start building your dream life.
Name it with an aspirational identity that reflects what your target audience aspires to be, like 'Fitness Entrepreneur' for coaches wanting to build a business.
The three strategies are upfront payment (paid in advance), split pay (divided over 2-3 payments), and 12-month upfront (paid for a full year with a discount).
