The sermon, titled "One God," passionately defends the biblical truth of God’s absolute oneness, centered on the name of Jesus. The speaker begins by rejecting human doctrines like the Trinity, which he argues have confused many, and instead urges reliance on divine revelation through Scripture and the Holy Spirit. He anchors his message in Deuteronomy 6:4 and Mark 12:29, declaring that the Lord our God is one Lord, a commandment essential for all believers. He addresses societal pressures that deny God’s existence, but affirms that believers can celebrate and find assurance in the one true God.
The speaker outlines three manifestations of the one God: as the Father in creation, where God alone created all things, planning the Son in His mind before the foundation of the world; as the Son in redemption, where God took on human flesh through the Virgin Mary, born as Jesus to save humanity from sin, fulfilling prophecies like Isaiah 7:14 and 9:6; and as the Holy Ghost in emanation, where God pours out His Spirit to dwell within believers, empowering them for victory and revival. He emphasizes that Jesus is the same Jehovah of the Old Testament, with all divine attributes—provider, healer, peace, shepherd, and righteousness—now accessible through His name. The Holy Spirit, inseparable from God, fills the hearts of those who hunger and thirst for Him, enabling boldness and strength despite weaknesses. Ultimately, the message calls believers to trust in the one God, who is faithful, ever-present, and able to deliver, heal, and save, encouraging them to live victoriously through faith.
