Now let's look at the financial side of who wants to be president of the republic.
Now on Saturday I did a spectacular job, as always, here is my shout out for Albrúnevaria López and analysed the statements of payment and delivery of the constitutional court
in addition to collecting complementary information and I also verified some information in interviews
and here is a lot of interesting things that in the background tell us a lot about the candidates.
Now let's start by Luís Marques-Mendes, the candidate with the greatest income of all.
In 2023 he declared about 492,000 euros in income from work, pension and a family society.
A large part of this value is Wadvogados, where he is a consultant and member of the strategic council.
Only then he received 413,000 euros in 2023 and about 296,000 euros in 2024.
In addition, he declared 30,000 euros in the company Atres Portugal, a private health group, and also received, by the documentary Nassique, where he was since 2013.
In 2019 on Saturday I had already reported that Luís Marques-Mendes received about 8,000 euros through television participation.
All this activity is channeled through the LES/2MM Limited family society, founded in 2014, and is in Caxias.
And the company, which now will be dissolved, accumulated profits of more than 300,000 euros, of which 105,000 euros will end up being the candidate.
But if something defines Marques-Mendes, I would say that it is the conservative profile.
And why do we say this?
Because looking at the numbers, we verify that it has about 670,000 euros in deposits and applications.
It does not have any share and prefers to invest in low-risk products, such as deposit-and-appearance, portfolio certificates, PPRs and a safe capitalization.
It has nothing of individual actions and it confirmed on Saturday that it does not have company titles.
It has its own payment and other imovals, both with a marginal value of about 475,000 euros.
In short, a stable, conservative financial life, still above average, and if it were a choice, Marques-Mendes would spend more than 230,000 euros per year,
than what it currently earns, which would represent a loss of about 1.16 million euros throughout the presidential mandate.
We continue to João Cotrinho de Figueiredo.
He is the candidate closest to Marques-Mendes in terms of heritage, and he is the one who is more distanced, so to speak, of the gestation style.
Because he is a true investor.
Now, as a European deputy, he receives about 10,927 gross monthly euros, which add up to more than 5,000 euros.
But the most interesting is the investment portfolio.
It has 961,000 euros generated by the BCP millennium, for a person, an investor with a medium-high profile,
in terms of risk, that is, it would be a moderate risk, and it has a discretionary management.
What does this mean?
It means that the bank takes investment decisions without direct intervention from the headline.
And, according to Cotrinho de Figueiredo, this was a way to avoid interest conflicts and also to ensure the diversification of his heritage and his investment portfolio.
And, according to estimations from the sector, a character with this profile, this risk would have generated around 20% in the last four years.
In addition, Cotrinho de Figueiredo is co-appropriate of a rural tourism company in Alentejo,
the "Monte da Pedra Torta", which generates local housing with women.
However, the company has not yet distributed profits, and has even presented profits of 42,000 euros in the last three years.
The liberal candidate still has a credit like Tecario, of 791,000 euros relative to the house he bought,
which has a patrimonial value of 580,000 euros,
and decided not to amortize the credit in advance because the return of the wallet is superior to the amount paid to the bank.
And, as I said last Saturday, it is financial management.
Therefore, a clear example of rational use of the money based on real income and risk analysis,
something that, unfortunately, is not very common, not among the candidates, not among the Portuguese.
Then we have André Ventura.
And Ventura, who is not surprised, continues, as had already been verified in the past,
continues with everything in account the order.
In the 2024 declaration, it indicates 121,858 euros in the bank room, and nothing more.
No application, no investment.
Its annual income, only from the deputy salary, is about 62,714 euros,
a slightly lower value than what it had before entering politics.
It does not have its own house, or credit, and lives as it was in the apartment 1 in Partas Nações,
bought by it in 2009.
Ventura had already been in business for a few years, which did not have a way to invest,
and it seems to continue to prefer to keep everything in account the order.
The problem, and you here, my dear friends, who follow the podcast Manibar,
is that you already know that the money stopped with inflation means that it is losing value every day.
And, in terms of finances, this is the opposite of what should be a good example of management.
Next, Enrique Goveimel, the chief of the United States of the Armed Forces,
also here we find a very conservative profile, a life without great financial complexity.
Therefore, Goveimel declared annual income of about 115,000 euros to the brutes from the Navy,
has 55,000 euros in the account to the order, has two imovals, 1T3 in Lisbon and a terrain in Audemire,
does not have any debt, the terrain in Audemire is explored as a local housing,
but the use of fruit belongs to the mother of the candidate, and this is done by women,
and, secondly, the local housing does not generate liquid income,
since the maintenance expenses exceed the recipes.
Therefore, he lives in a stable way, without great financial ambitions,
and it is interesting to verify that he has been mentioned during the sabbath,
that for 20 years he kept the same car, a Mitsubishi Pajero,
and only recently replaced it by an electric one.
Therefore, as mentioned, and as mentioned, there are some funds for sabbath,
he spends little money.
Antonio José Segur, who returns to politics after more than a decade away from the political life,
in his last statement at the Constitutional Tribunal, and here we have to go to 2014,
which is what we have, when he was still a deputy, he indicated annual income of about 46,000 euros,
values already penalized at the time by the cuttings of the Troika.
At the time he had about 36,000 euros in applications and two letters of titles,
which makes it difficult to understand the current value.
He still declared that he was moving to Lisbon,
and also in Rainas and Pena Macor,
with a dividend of 251,000 euros,
investments made by women in the value of 17,000 euros.
Since then, we are talking about 2014, right?
Segur, in the end, reinvented, created a tourism company,
AMARCOR, which explores allocations in the walls,
and a small consultant in the area of food security,
returned to give classes in the ISC, in autonomy,
and, according to the next sources, it is financially more robust, let's say.
Still, we have to wait for the new statement to know the details,
because, in the end, here the information refers to 2014,
and, therefore, with these changes,
there will also be changes in its financial component.
Jorge Pinto, free deputy,
declared a annual income of 67,000 euros, 317 euros,
from the salary of the deputy,
and from the income of a T1 in the center of the port,
which grants him 500 euros a month.
He has 148,000 euros in bread, no debt,
and a profile of a balanced life,
no ostentation, also no risk.
Finally, Catarina Martins, who reinforced her financial situation,
with the idea for Brussels,
with her deputy offered about 11,000 euros of monthly salary,
in 2021 she declared a salary of 12,000 euros,
a mortgage loan of 74,000 euros,
and a loan in a society that explores rural housing.
The new statements should reflect a more comfortable situation,
but, I believe, I maintain the same style,
but there is still that information missing.
If we look at the whole of the candidates,
we have almost a mirror of the country's financial diversity,
in which Marcos Mendes is the one
who has the most conservative patrimony,
so he prefers security to profitability.
Quaterinte Figueiredo is the real investor,
diversification, risk control,
here in search of return and profitability.
Ventura and Gove e-mail follow the classic model of money,
in terms of order and the risk version,
surely with a more traditional profile,
still missing, right?
Here it is updated, it is an incognito,
Jorge Pinto shows stability here,
Catarina Martins also lacks here
to understand this situation of reinforcement,
but keeps a stability here.
In the end, it is curious to see how the relationship with money
is also a reflection of the way each one faces
the power of their own life.
Some plan, others react, some invest,
others guard, others risk,
others prefer absolute security,
others are too lazy to do anything,
but there is a conclusion.
The financial literacy continues to be lacking,
even among those who are free and decide.
And even those who aspire to blame,
could benefit from learning more about investments
and personal finances,
imagine an impact that this can have
in the life of each one of the Portuguese.
So, if you want to learn exactly how to invest
with security, without complications
and with a solid base in principle,
stay here with a reinforced invite,
masterclass online and free,
