On The Same Paige: Chapter 1

Hi, I'm Paige. And I'm Paige. And this is on the same page. Welcome to our podcast. This has been long awaited. And we have been promising this for months. And we are glad to finally deliver today our first episode is going to be talking about how our friendship came to be, what the podcast is going to be about a little bit about ourselves. To page, how are you tell us? For you. You know, I'm Paige Fresman. I'm known by a lot of people as page number two. A lot of people know Paige Hill first. So we'll get to that because that's kind of how we met and why we're here. But I was born in Roosevelt, Utah. I was raised in Roosevelt, Utah. I graduated high school in Roosevelt, Utah. I did swim, and tennis, and soccer in high school. I was very involved in the FFA. I was a state officer for FFA for a year after high school. And I went to my mission in Wisconsin. I've been home for like a year from my mission, which is crazy. Last year, I got home for my mission, and like three days later, I came to school here at BYU Idaho. I had my brother here, my cousin, which was good. But I knew nobody else. So I was a little scared. But here I am, less with some friends, awesome friends. So it's good. I'm studying communications, public relations. And I also just finished the preservice class for seminary teaching because that's what I want to do. That was inspired by my mission, and someone that is why. So stay tuned for student teaching position maybe, hopefully in the next year. What else? What else about me? What's your favorite food? Ooh. I, this, like, sell random. It's more of like a category of it, like, category? Yeah. A bowl. I love bowls. Like protein bowls. Yogurt bowls. I love, I don't know, just like salads. You can put it in a bowl that I like. That's so random. But, you know, like a Chipotle, like, yeah, the protein bowls from Chipotle and all their gas. Yeah. A good bowl is good. True. True. Let's see. What else about me? I talk a lot about the Green Bay Packers because I saw my mission was constant, but I know nothing about football. So there's that. Go pack, go. Go pack, go. Catch me saying that all the time. That's only a few. Yeah. But pack did not go. Pack lost actually. Oh, I have a game. So, what else? I just tried out for the swim team. You're on kids' face. Apparently everyone makes a team, so. Anyway. But you did it. Yeah, we'll see. We'll see how it goes. My times were actually better than I thought they'd be. So, they're pretty decent. She's running a track star. Yeah. Something like that. Yeah. I catch me wearing the color blue all the time. This is true. She is blue. One of my nicknames, because there's two pages. One of my nicknames is blue page because when these certain individuals met me, I was wearing all blue. Like blue pants with a matching blue shirt. And so now they call me blue page. So, it's so rage page when I'm driving. So. Like so. Yeah. Anything else? You do have blue pants on your head. I mean, I do. Show the face. Is the people I can see the camera? You can see it glistening. You can't really color blue. Yeah. It's my closet. Every other thing in the closet is blue. So, yeah. It's good color. It works. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. I think that's me. How we about it? Yeah. I think that's me. How we about your life? Well, I was born at a very young age. Um, I lived in Ohio for 11 years. And then my dad had a time from the Air Force and then moved to Vegas. And I've been there for almost 9 years, which is crazy. And I have a twin sister. Her name is Sadie. She's 6 inches tall with me. Short dark hair. I'm allergic to dogs. She's allergic to cats. Yeah. Very different people, but best friends. Wait, I did not know that. I knew you were allergic to dogs, but I didn't know she was allergic to cats. Yeah. Crazy. I really just answered the fact that you guys are opposite. Yeah, we are. But it's always a good time. Um, I, in high school, I did NHS and I did student council. I was the student body treasurer. So I sold Chick-fil-A every Tuesday. And I was awful. So the office aid. So I'd walk around and give him the teachers and the left of the sandwiches. This is great. Um, and because I was buddies of the teachers, I really don't like the rain and driving in the rain. So when it started sprinkling, barely. And I talked to the main teacher and I was like, I just really nervous. Did you try to hit the rain? Can I leave school early? And she's like, of course, kids. Like, you take care of yourself. And all the boys I was office aid was like, no shot. Like, it's barely sprinkling outside. And I'm like, who am I? Like, that's the story of my life. She gets me to talk her way into her out of anything. It's true. I really love it. It's a great, actually. It's true. It's getting bigger. Um, another thing in high school is I was the varsity boy in captain. Another thing is sweet talking is I suck up bullying. I am very bad at it. But I was friends with the coach and I was like, hey, can you my friend be the captain? And he's like, of course. So we were the varsity boys in captain. And it was great. And yeah, that's one of my favorite pieces of pay tail. War is that she was the varsity bully captain. And she I've never been bullying with her. But she says she's really bad at bullying. I am really bad. That's so funny. So it's you need to boost your confidence. Of bullying. Let me know and I'll go with you and hope you feel good about yourself. I'm here for you. So she's not really the most. - Ruh. Another thing is I have a disco ball that I carry around with me. Just because you never know when a party needs to start. She buss in it out in class today. I did. We say little light of mine. Like, "I'm gonna let it shine," and I did with that bad boy out. And then my teacher was like, "Painty, that is so cool. Send me the link." So I sent it to her on canvas, and she said it's in the cart. So we're about to be twinning with a disco ball. - Are you on canvas? - Yes. - No. - Yeah, we go way back. - We go way back. - We go way back. - We go way back. - I was served a mission in the Idaho Coca-Tello mission, and it was the promised land. I loved it so much as the best. Today's my 14th month mark actually being home, which is crazy. - Happy 14th? - Thank you. - It is so crazy. - Time flies. - Time flies. I just loved my mission so much and so grateful for the experiences and the people that I met and building my testimony and anything. And then somewhere I was also an FSW counselor, and that was the best. Those are the mom.com and I'm looking forward to being a counselor again this year. - I feel like we could do a whole entire podcast on Just Our Missions and then another whole entire podcast on Just FSW. - Let's do it. - Because those are things that we both did and we both loved. - Yeah. - So much. - Yeah. - So say two. - You know it. - Yeah. - So let's get to the good part. It's all good. - It's all good. - It's all good. But this friendship, it hasn't always been. Growing, okay, actually a little back story. Growing up in this hometown that I grew up in, I mean, it was small, but like not too small. Anyways, I feel like I knew everyone in my high school pretty well. There was only one other page that I known growing up and it was also page F. - Which is crazy. - Yeah, crazy. But coming here, I've met so many pages. You were the first one. But then after that, I feel like they also are sending communications to because I've met so many pages. And I'm just like, okay. - I am also sending communications. - We are actually like the same person. - Yeah, because I'm doing communications and public relations. And so she, then I'm doing organizational leadership and event planning with that too. - Good times. - Yeah. - So we'll throw a little party for her semi-data class. - Oh yeah, yeah. There we go. Okay, so rewind almost a year. Give her take a week or two. Okay, actually a year ago, like almost today, my cousin and I, who was my roommate last winter, we were walking in the parking lot and we ran into these three guys and they invited us to game night. We invited them to a game night. We were planning and we didn't end up going to each other's things. Okay, then they just shut up and they're apartment one day and just were chatting us up. You know, we, we, they chat for like two hours and we just got to know them. We got invited to their apartment to watch cycle them. So we went to that. Then after that, they set me up with one of their friends on a date and then one of them asked me not to worry. So we went on a double day, got to know them. They invited us to a super broke party and that's where I met Paige. I'd heard about Paige like a week before because they were talking about this adventure that they had in the temple. They lost her because she was doing the initial stories or ceilings and they were doing an initial tour. They were doing the opposite one. Yeah, they were supposed to do it together and they ended up doing it separately. Anyway, kind of confusing. But I heard about this other page and my friend Ethan, he's like sitting on our couch telling us the story. I remember this so vividly. He's like, we need a nickname for you because there's another page and I was like, no, like I didn't know her. No, like what? Why can't I be Paige? Why does she get the nickname? Yeah, with what the heck? Then like fast forward a week at the super broke party, we meet it's glorious because she's the best person ever. Paige is just so easy to talk to. So like, this page shows. Yeah, we were just we hit it off and it was chill. But we were both a little dismayed. - It was my first time. - I couch got stolen. - Yeah. - It was hoping. - Maybe we'll do another podcast in the sewing college because that was crazy. But yeah, so we were a little disoriented. So I remember meeting her. I didn't really like, Paul says, "We didn't even get to show his number or anything." Like, it just happened. - It just happened. - And like there was a whole bunch of chips. And I remember that she was so picky. I was picky either. - I was just hurt. - I didn't really like table nachos. So it tinfoiled down and then chips and then meat and then queso and everything. And I'm so picky that I had a little quarter designated to just me with just corn and meat. (laughs) - Do you even even have cheese on it? - Cheese on beans? - I don't like beans. I do not do beans. And so that was also the first impression was that this girl was really picky. - Yeah. - But I enjoyed my little quarter. - It was great. - Yeah. - So I met her, she didn't like her nachos but then she's on it. What the freak? But I was like, okay, she's chill. Then like two days later we're at the MC studying and my brother's there. I remember. - Is it quarter? - Yeah. - Mallory? - Malloray? - Oh, Soraya. Okay, my other roommate's soraya was there. And Paige just walks up and she sits down and chats for a while. And then that's when you change numbers. - She said, "Semi your favorite weird emoji." - Oh yeah. - And then she said like, "I heard you were something." - We were talking about emojis that we want to like, that's like our emoji and mine is the eagle emoji. Like I would just send that like sarcastically, just randomly. - What was yours? - I think I do like the cowboy. - Yeah, yeah, yeah. - I remember. And then I just sent you an audio message randomly one day walking the class. - Yeah, I was like, "Okay, we're gonna be best friends "at this girl." Then we find out we have this class together. We've had this class together for like a month and a half. - But it's only once a week at 7 a.m. - And it's a pretty big class. - Yeah. - Like probably the biggest class I've ever been in here. 'Cause like usually the class size is pretty small. But anyway, the auditorium's full of people. And I remember meeting her like a few weeks before, and being like, "Oh, page page." But then it didn't begin to get any of it. Here we are. So we get to know each other. We, she lives like two floors, one floor up, one floor up and like 10 departments down. Like, okay, that's dramatic as eight departments. But still, she lives like far away, but I would go over to her apartment where she could go to my apartment and then we'd walk to her home and that. Like we just like debrief our lives. Like we just felt like we hear this story. - Yeah, this is great. - debrief our dates, debrief the friend group more, 'cause there was a lot of that. Yeah. So shout out to Jacob, Ethan, and Rhett for our meetings in the parking lot, inviting us to your random Super Bowl party. And so we could meet. And we are, we were still hanging out with those guys. Like that's the friend group that brought us together. But that's not what's keeping us together. - It's not where roommates. - And it's so fun. And people know us as the pages. And let me tell you the joy that I feel when somebody says, the pages that I'm like, oh my gosh, like yes. - Page squared. - It is so fun or double trouble. Like we eat it up. So please, if you see us around, tell us the pages and we will respond. We'll also respond if you just say page, 'cause it's our name. But if you know one page and you don't know the other page, then hit us up and you can make something happen. - Yeah. - Because we're better together. - It's true. And we like throwing parties. Last semester we threw a few. And about 200 people would come and it was so fun. Just to get everybody from different levels of our lives and everything, all in the same crossover episode. And it was awesome. So stay tuned for more parties to follow. And everyone in their moments, welcome to talk. - Yeah. - Because now we're hanging out. It's like, it's like the friend group we met. Like I feel from the friend group we met in. A few of my mission friends, a few of her FSY friends, a few of my people from my hometown sometimes just pull up and like, you know, just random crossover episodes. So the remix. - Yeah, the remix. - The remix. - Good times. We didn't circle back to the whole nickname thing. - Oh yeah. - So I did throw a little tizzy fit about that at first because I didn't know her. - Which is valid because all of a sudden, if somebody be like, there's another page, like no. I'm the page. Like what do you mean? And it wasn't me being like, I'm all that energetic, but I was just like, why do I need a nickname? Like that's not necessary. Why can't you tell us apart, you know? But then once we started just being like this, we're always together. Then I was like, okay, I do need a nickname. So the friend group came up with Podge, okay? And I think that was that was Jacob that came up with that. He was like, we're gonna call you Podge. And Jordan and Tyler gave it a little like French, I don't know if it's French. We'll spin off and start calling Podge. - Uh-huh. - And so that's how the friend group knows me. A lot of people before they have even met me, they know that I'm Podge. So they're like, oh my gosh, you're Podge. And I'm like, yeah. - Yeah. - Yeah. - Officially, it's Paige, but yes, Podge. - Yes. - Mallory has a friend that calls me paper. He's like, it's paper, but it's Paige for short. - I'm like, okay, thank you. There's Blue Page, there's Pope. Pope is gonna move. - Yes. Mallory was going out this guy. I hope he's listening, sending my love to you. But he was going out with this guy. And he couldn't remember my name. I was like, I'm sorry, I'm like, I said just, I'm like, seven days. (laughing) And he was like, he was like, what's your name again? And I was like, it starts with a P. And he was like, okay, Penelope, Patonia, Patricia. - You're like, huh? - Are these Pokemon names? I was like, no, it's one syllable. And he was like, Pope? I was like, I'm all of my name. (laughing) So anyway, that's his nickname. He now has Pope. And I actually tell a lot of people that story. So if you're listening, just know a lot of people know about that story. - Just so many names. - So many names. - So is a good time. - Any other nicknames that people have for me? Page is just, like, page is page. - I'm just page. - And I'm either page podge, page number two, paper, Pope, - Blue Page. - Blue Page. - And often I'm wearing pink. - Rage page, also. - Blue Page, and then I'm pink. - Yes, yes. - Yes. The Rage Page thing is just because when I'm driving and pedestrians are pedestrian, I get so upset. - Avoid the Rage page, okay, be on a good time. - I don't drive in anger, but I do like, just yell a little bit sometimes. - And it had to be done. (laughing) - Yeah, anyway, moving on. - Moving on. So we introduced ourselves a little bit and shared our friendship a little bit. We wanna talk a little bit about the podcast, what to expect. And then we have an Instagram account. You guys shall follow, it's called Fanpage 6.7. And we posted some questions or like a sticker and people responded with questions. We were being real. We were in the moment and we needed to take that so we're on time. Just, you know, follow some B-Rail, we love being real. So we were talking about the podcast and how it came to be. I had some karaoke with microphones that I brought up from my house. Thank you, mom, for letting me bring them. We were here this summer and Rexburg was kinda like a ghost town, but it was so much fun hanging out every day in Rexburg. No school, only a little bit of work, but a lot of fun. And so we had these microphones and we would do this thing called pillow talk where we would sit on the couch with our roommates. Somebody would have a microphone. We would just chat, like debriefing your days, hey, how was your day? And everyone just had a microphone and it was just so cool and bibi. And then so we're gonna come over in a day or from hanging out or something and they'd be like, get the microphone, we're debriefing. So we already love talking to microphones. We already love sharing our lives because we don't know how to keep anything for ourselves. We share literally everything, was literally everybody. (laughs) But, it's always a good time. And then we ended up taking podcast class together. - Yeah, so it was like this social media practicing class and we get there and they're like, okay, so this class is basically splitting the groups and you're gonna discuss, and it was more like information based podcast type thing, but it was still fun to kind of like get into like three searching and recording it and we were like, we totally do it. So we bought the equipment for it. We had these kill mics and right now you can see the ring lights in our glasses. We got the little equipment for it. And we've been telling people about it and everyone's been so excited and they've been really good about following up. - It's actually really true. We have a few different friends that were like, my friends are gonna start a podcast and they called the pages and they're like, "Wait, my friend, the pages are gonna start a podcast." And we're like, "Oh my gosh, this is crazy." So I think it's just so fun. And we love this support. So thank you guys for tuning in. - Even like our families and like friends back home, like they know about this and they're ready. So I'm glad that we finally got time. - We were both so busy. So finally we finally got time to sit down and do this. - It's been in the calendar for weeks. Literally podcasts are like, we'll do it this time. And then-- - Usually one of us gets sick or goes out of town. Take a roommate to urgent care or happen. - It really does. - It's a whole lot that we list of us. So back to the Finsta, we put up a thing. We were like, "Hey, what questions do we answer on an introduction podcast?" This is an introduction podcast. So we're gonna just answer some of these questions. And then we just talked about guests, cameos. We want to just get our friends on here. Talk about hot topics. We're calling this podcast. on the same page. We want you to come to us with your hot takes and try and get us on the same pages you get the listener on the same page if we are already on the same page of you which is probably likely because the kids are agreeable. We don't really get being convinced. Yikes. Anyway. So yeah if you want to be on the podcast just let us know and we can uh figure out. I'm sure we can make arrangements and as always it is pleasure doing business with you. Oh yes. So starting off strong with our first questions for Crocs. Sport mode or chill mode. I'm currently wearing Crocs that are pink. Sport mode. Here's the thing. One day I'm going to sport mode to the eternities meaning I have a pair of white temple Crocs that I wear in the temple and I just love Crocs and I love sport mode because you can still be productive even if you're just sitting watching movie. Just sit but you're not going to fall off. I say if you wait, Crocs, you wait, Crocs. So I say sport mode. I have never worn Crocs in my life. I'll literally have six or seven pairs. Well wait actually that's a life. One time my senior year for our chapter off-stere leadership training for FFA we went camping. That's just kind of how it worked. You just pitch a tent like on the fairgrounds. It is entirely so yeah. Anyway and I had these Crocs that I made with my friend. They were just like Walmart brand like doops and I drew like CalPri on them and they were actually like you but I only wore them once. So I'm going to go with what's one sport mode? I don't know. Yeah. I'm going to go with sport mode. Good answer. So yeah but I'm more of a clogged type girl. Also I just don't wear Crocs so yeah. No wait I love- I can pull them off but I don't need me. I think I can't. I think you could. If you really tried I think you could but I appreciate the compliment because I think I can't pull Crocs off. So she went where my comfort said that's all pink pink sweatshirt and pants and pink Crocs and a water bottle that's the same shape. I think the Crocs and the disco ball just complimented each other. I think it's just page hail. We talked about how cage you could have this like doll like you know like the toy story dolls you like pull the string and then they have like the same like six or six. I was just laughing as you were telling your story about the Crocs because the main thing she tells people is I had this disco ball in the bag. I always pull the disco ball out. I have Crocs in the temple. Sports mode and the tizzy tournities and pleasure doing business with you know like good times and timings. Speaking of it was the varsity bowling cats and very second ball. Yeah it just happened. You know it's literally literally the other one. It's just happened. I was about to do it. It's just the same thing different from once. So if you know of a new catch phrase that I should adopt let me know. We like to adopt each other. I started saying baby girl. I said that all the time. Oh my god. Let me see you dance and we see you tour. Sort of saying that in a FSY my buddy's there also they said it a lot and so we just always are saying it and that's how we address a lot of people like baby girl what do you need? Like we got to give it to boys sometimes. Baby girl I've got you just to make them an all. I say to my brother and he just actually doesn't react so maybe it's because he knows I'm trying to get a reaction out of him. Okay. Okay next question is what is the best type of glassware? Type of glassware? I didn't know that there are multiple types of glassware. Does he mean like a red solo cup versus like a not red solo cup of plastic cup or like a Stanley versus a hydrojug? I don't know. Here let's look at that one second. We'll see you know. We're just gonna see because if we're going for like sippy cups I really like the hydrojug because I have the handle and the straw. I don't know how to use your computer and then uh but like a Stanley I do really like the Stanley stuff. I feel like they spill a lot more but I really like the wall of bottles too. Okay so this is saying types of glassware. It's like a wine glass or a shot glass. It's not a set of cups. I actually do like shot glasses. I'm actually really good at taking shots. Of course it's all mountain dew but I do have a little shot glass that says I heart I'd home on it and I will admit I do just stand there sometimes and pour myself a drink and then just throw them back to I lose count you know I love taking shots so have you. Fizzards you've been once? Where? I went one time. I really like fizzards. It's a local mocktail bar here in Ricksburg and you can do sour shots and you just throw them back and I like it. One time they had a shot roulette but they died at them all black so it was either a spicy one water or sour. You'd spend the real and you don't know which one you're gonna get so crazy. Crazy. You have to take a shot you know take a shot. I also really love puns too. Sometimes okay I've been friends for a year okay you can only do that. There's so many puns. She has put up a lot of puns and a lot of them are really good and sometimes they're just really good. And a lot of them are just rapids so yeah it happens but if you hear pun anything it's funny let me know because it boosts my ego. Yeah. So genuinely like a lot of them are good but other times I'm like I just feel like I can do a sympathy laugh. And that's okay. But like I just the biggest thing is like I don't understand how she like couldn't come up with them like so fast. We just we'll just be talking about something and she's like pun inner mind or song that relates to that story and she'll just start singing. So we'll see if that happens on the bobcast. They probably will. It just did. So I wish maybe it's just jealousy. I wish I was that way but just kidding I don't think how it's jealousy. I think it's a spiritual gift. Yeah. To do puns maybe. Anyways next question. Unless you have an answer to the glossware. No not really. I just I I have an emotional attachment to my water bottle. I bring it everywhere. Even if it's like a two minutes high class also bring it. It's true but you never know when you need to to hydrate because hydrate your diet right? Yeah exactly. Yeah exactly. So real. Another question is the craziest story we have lived together. Are you thinking the same thing as me? Like the second time we like we're ever together. Oh yeah yeah that was so fun. Okay okay okay. So we meet at the Super Bowl party. Then we our friend Jordan comes to town. I mean I mean Jordan for the first time. Page of met Jordan previously right? Yeah like twice. Okay we love Jordan. He's the best. We I literally met this guy. Like that day. Wow we're idiots. I'm like man that's sweet. He's like do you want to go Montana tomorrow? I'm like sure I've never been to Montana. Let's do it. It was a Saturday right? I think I was a Friday because I went to class and then we had a run home city date that night. Oh yes no yeah yeah I went to class because I just had I had a class of Emily. I thought I had an Emily in that class. Anyway so we went to our class we go to Montana. My roommate Jess tagged along. Jess had also just met Jordan. We go and I'm like I trusted page even though I had known her two days longer than I know Jordan. Maybe like a week longer but still yeah I was like what the heck am I doing? We go to Montana. We touch the sign. We take some pictures. Then on the way back me and Jordan Polarclunch because he just randomly was like what's jumping in the river? And I was like okay and he didn't believe that I was being for real but I was so we did. It's true I was there I recorded it. Yeah so that was wild mostly just because I didn't know any of these individuals but and we forgot we went there cross the border and went back and grittyed over the Montana border. True it was really good. It was good times and pretty sure he peed at the sign. Yeah he'd been a Marcus territory but we loved Jordan and we've had lots of lots of adventures whether it be Taco Bell, Biz Rizz, Jordan Pamplin. Okay when you're with the pages it's like a page of a book right two pages of a book so if it's page Jordan page it's a Jordan pamphlet. True so we've had a Jordan pamphlet often we find ourselves in an Emily pamphlet a lot. True we call that HQ though it's headquarters. It's headquarters because you always have to report back to headquarters. Yeah he started that over Chris and split he just had to keep each other up and be boost going on. Yes so stay tuned if you get to be in the pamphlets someday. Yeah we hope you do we hope you're there. Another one is if you forget rid of any state what state would it be? Arizona. I I didn't know if it's why in Arizona and I was like it should be illegal for people to live here like how is it legal it's so hot there it's unnecessary. Anyway it is very. Also I love there's a lot of people in Arizona that I love and it's too far like just be closer. Bring them all to Utah. Yeah please come on down. Yeah true that's how I answer. I have no idea what's true. Just say road island. I was just gonna say that I was gonna say I feel like it's kind of pointless no offense if you're from Rhode Island but the population's like 12 probably I just I just don't have a connection to it and it's just kind of there yeah but maybe I need to get to know them a little more. If you would have asked me like six months ago I would have said for more or something but I love Vermont. I did that for why they're - I love their mom. - It's a season of "Stand Still." - It's one of the best states ever. It's so pretty. I felt like I was in Gilmore Girls' now. Shout out to Cassie because memory's made. I love that place. Yeah. - Good answer. - Here we go. - Another question. Favorite Taylor Swift album and song. They do not need to be in the same album. - Okay. Favorite Taylor Swift album? Speak now. - Speak now. - Favorite Taylor Swift song? - Sure. - Hey, Steven. I love that song. (laughs) - That was a good song. - Wait, actually, yeah. What's the other one from the Fearless album? And I like, anyways, you say your answer as I think. - I love just her first debut album. I grew up just listening to that. I have a little iPod Nano and it would just be on repeat. And so I love that album. But some of her newer stuff, it's weird. Like sometimes I like it and then other times I don't. Like it. I definitely love country music though and so I like listening to that stuff. But also like 1989 is fun. Like I'm gonna do New York. But music songs wise. I don't know. I love our song. Our song is a same screen, but I think that's great. - Yeah, I love. If you turn on all too well, 10 minute version I can hear every word. And I will sing it with my heart and soul. To the point where people around me are like, who hurt you? And I'm like, no, but nobody did. - Nobody's in. - Nobody's in. I just love this song. Also I was a Swiftie when I was a kid. That was actually crazy. Like hardcore, Swiftie. And now I just, I can't listen to some of her new stuff. Like I can occasionally, but it's not like her old stuff. I can still listen to all the time and just. - So non-assistual stuff. - Yeah. It probably ends at like lover. Like even some of her, like, what's a folklore ever more, whatever. Those ones are okay. Like I like a lot of the songs on there, but after that, I don't come at it for this, but I just, I don't know if I can do it. - And I think that's okay. - Yeah. - I think that that is okay. - Yeah. - So. - But I do like to the Swiftie. I went to her, I mean my sister, she said even to our album, tour, era, tour. And it was so fun. It was just like everything that little page you'd have hoped you'd dreamed of. And it was magical. - Yeah. - Yeah. - I went to the speaking-out concert like in 2012. Like her first, but not the Taylor version, but the speak-out. And that's the one where everyone would like put like 13 on their hand. 'Cause her birthday is December 13th. And so everyone put 13 on their hand and they were like going to the concert with that. But I decided 13 is my lucky number. So that's why my Instagram, this is, oh, this is why my Instagram username is page-fressed in 13. And same with my emails, page-fressed in [email protected]. Come, come out with your email. - And that is today, I literally made a script for a podcast and Google Docs during class. And that's how you remember that. - I did it with your email. - It was 'cause of the 13. - Yeah. And then I ran out of email storage on that one. So I made a new one, page-fressed in 22. Oh, how convenient. Taylor Swift, 22. - Boom. - Also that's a year I graduated. But there was another meaning behind that. So yeah, unfortunately, 13 is my lucky number because of that. And the password, this is, this is, this is my old computer. I don't use this computer anymore. But the password to my old computer is literally T-Swivel. - Good. So I unfortunately, and fortunately, I guess, no hate to Taylor Swift, but there's just, I feel like there's so much drama behind me. It's what's, it's true. - It's true. - And I think we can appreciate it and it doesn't anywhere, Hawaii. - It brought us so much to travel to it. - Yeah. - But I didn't even know that was an option. - Hopefully not. - Hopefully not. - I'm not gonna do it. - Yeah. - So, but we do love going to concerts. We are concert goers. So come to concert with us. - Yeah. - Yeah. - Okay, next question. Where is Mr. Freston and Mr. Hillat? - My dad is currently in Rosemallow's house. (laughs) Meaning, where are the men in our life? (laughs) - The little cricket sound here. - Send referrals. We love going on dates. I joke that dating is my hobby. I just really love getting to know people and doing fun activities, but I need new hobby. So, we're in the process of figuring it out. We figured out who we are too. Yeah, and like, page call for a mission like a month before me. And I don't know about you, but right now, I feel like I'm finally out of spot that I can actually take dating serious. Not that I wasn't before, but I just wasn't in the right headspace. - Yeah. - Like it takes you a minute when you get home from your mission to feel like you can exist and function in the world. - I agree. And I feel like there's all the pressure on the world of like, you just got home from your mission. Your next step is to get married going all these dates. - There is a lot of pressure. - I feel like I had that a lot where I just wanted to go on a lot of dates and like I say, I love hanging out with people and that was a great way to do it. But I do think that now I've grown and I've learned a lot and I've learned a lot from all the guys I've grown on dates if it's always a good time. But I've learned a lot of qualities that I want. Qualities that I maybe don't love. I've learned a lot about myself. And so I feel like we have really entered this like learning era. And we're ready to continue to learn our lives. And also with a man of God, so, so help. If you love God and you're funny, then hit us up. - My Instagram space rests in 13. Why is that D Paytail? - What was I gonna say? - I don't remember. - Yeah. - I'm sure a deity will come up more on the podcast. So yeah, we're just trying to work through it a little bit. But also, I think if it was at any other college, like it's a normal, it's like, be single when you're 25. It's like, look anywhere else. But here it's just like, oh, you're 21 or 22 and you're single with that. - Yeah. - I've been on Primus' "Informed" literally for years. - Yeah, yeah. - Hop. - Anyways. - Yeah. - So stay tuned on that. - True. A few more questions. One is, did Paige, me, pass interior design? Yes, I did. Somehow I just didn't do homework in that class for like three months because the teacher was so nice and she was like, you know what, turn it in by December 13th. The last day of the semester and I'll give you full credit. And so that's what I did is I just didn't turn it in until I absolutely had to. I had a lot on my plate last semester and I really did not prioritize that. But by the grace of God and focusing and locking in, I was able to, sorry, I'm just making sense. - Again. - The one song I was able to, I was able to get a good grade in the class and I did pass. So thank you. - Yes, I did. Thank you for wondering if I passed one. - It's my carry. - We appreciate that. Okay. Oh, if a question is, if you had to name us, if we were not Paige, what would I say your name is? What would you say my name? - I genuinely my gut reactions is a Camille because you seem like a Camille. Also, like Paige, my mom made me look very similar. - It's true. Like Paige and her twin don't look alike but she was like spending a bunch of her mother. - Yeah. - So Camille or, I think you could be like an Allison or something, or really? - Yeah. - I've been told like Emma. - Emma? - Emma. - I disagree with that. - Okay. - I don't know why, just I can't see them. Good thing my name's Paige. - Perfect. The new character is calling us right now. - Of course. - Okay, I'm in a gorgeous mood with those. Can we talk about how proud my hair looks? - Mind you. - Anyway. (laughing) - Oh. - Oh, brother just texted and said bring your twin, come do homework. - Twins? - I was like what twin, you're my twin and he said your B-Rule shows you with Paige. And he never takes his B-Rule, so proud of him. Shout out to Poe, brother. Anyway, we were just talking about and you could name me something else that's not paid for with you. I feel like. Maybe like a. - Shuniko? - No, I don't know why you do. - I have black ladies. - La Fonda. - La Fonda. - I don't know, I was gonna say Cassidy. We have a friend named Cassie, but I can say Cassidy, Cassidy, or maybe like Rebecca, we go by Becca. - Yeah, yeah. - It'd be B-E-C-C-A. Becca. - Also I feel like I should give context, but I love black ladies. I suppose Michigan was constantly taught so many amazing people. And a lot of them were black and they were amazing. And they were just so fun. So anyway, shout out to everyone. - Everyone. - We named them, but I just love all of them. - Sure. - Okay, what else? How has life been post-mission? What are some of the best things and some of the worst things? - Okay. People don't talk about how hard it's come home. - They say how hard it's to go out, but oh my gosh, it was really hard to come home because I love my mission. And yeah. - Yeah. - I would say one of the best things for me, like, I was like, "Okay, well, high school. I don't wanna be in high school. I graduated and then went to college." And I was like, "Okay, this is better than high school. I don't wanna be college. I don't wanna be college, but I wanna be in Michigan." I was like, "It's better than college. I don't wanna be in Michigan. I don't wanna be in Michigan." And so something that I've learned is just that it keeps getting better because this is a stage of my life that I need to be in right now. And like, I loved my admission, but I didn't need to stay there, you know? So life goes on, basically. That's the biggest thing I learned. And the best part about it is just that the relationships that you form on your mission, when you come home, it feels like they're gone, which is like the worst part. It feels like you're never going to talk to them again. The best part is that they're not gone. I talk to my admission friends every day. My roommate is my Michigan companion. I have another Michigan companion that's up here that I'm doing swim with. And I was just at the temple of her yesterday, a couple of my admission friends, we hang out with all the time. I've seen my mission president three times in the past month. And it's just the best thing ever. And you just keep making more friends. So yeah, that's my answer. I don't know if that even made any sense, but no, it does. And I agree. Like, I think coming home, I like got to the point of my mission. I think I was blessed to be able to just love my mission the whole time. And especially coming home, I was like, well, I love my family and I love life at home. And I know that I'm excited. But I just love this so much that I just don't want it to end. I didn't realize it, but I'm a very sentimental person. Like. I'm so sad with the way it's right now. There is currently a picture of Drake with a pancake and waffle because I'm in a class. And I'm supposed to be doing a debrief. I mean, I'm afraid. And a debrief on why waffles are better than pancakes. And so that one just popped up. But what I was going to say is that I was just, I was looking forward to just staying and just loving my mission. I didn't want to go home. But I was glad that I had a little bit of time home before I started at school again. And I think getting back in the swing of things, having a job, having school, giving me more of a purpose and being able to like walk in again. And I think the trickiest thing has been figuring out like, who is, who is page instead of just sister Hale. And that definitely took a minute and took a second. And I remember going to Cody Johnson concert with my mom and it was so fun. And that is when I felt like I was page again because he had all of the first responders stand up. And my dad is military and so I'm very patriotic. And we, I just remember like just feeling just this like, this love for my country. And as a missionary, you obviously still love your country, but you aren't supposed to talk about politics or anything. And I didn't really have any part of my life that was my family. We've discussed a lot of things. The gospel politics, everything, but we talk about it a lot. And so being on my mission is really hard to not talk about it sometimes. And so I didn't realize how much like America was important to me until I went to that concert. And I love the song till you can't. And I think that that kind of just shifted in my mind is like, if you got a chance, take it. Take it while you got a chance. It made me think of like my mission. I loved it. And I can keep loving it. I don't need to keep living in it. And I can take this chance on this new phase of life and moving forward with that and everything. And so I was able to kind of figure out who pages and I think definitely being at school and doing my own thing is also helping me figure out more of page in each page. Each month is a different page. I feel like I'm growing evolving. You know, like a new Pokemon character. Always evolving, always learning more. And obviously we still have a lot more to learn, but I think as we go on this journey and allow Christ to change you, he does change you not just with a missionary named Tag on, but even after what it's to. Yeah. And this is something I was talking to with my roommate and her sister was in town this weekend and she was like, what's so hard about coming over to a mission? She's like, I hear that so much. But like, just tell me like, what's so hard about it? And it's just like, you feel like you've progressed so much as a missionary. You've grown so much. And you have a testimony of a spirit all the time. And then you come home and you're like the changed person in the same environment and you don't want to like slip out of those things. And it's kind of hard and discouraging because like, it just happens sometimes. And I think that like this year, I've seen the growth in you and in myself and kind of going back to like the voice thing. I had a companion that got home and she got engaged and married so fast, so happy for like it was right for her, but that would not have been right for me because I learned so much about myself the past year. I could not imagine getting into relationship that fast because I didn't even know who I was when I got all financially. So I'm just so grateful for God in that he helps us to change me better and it's not just some inexperience that's exclusive to missionaries. Amen. I totally agree. I think that definitely having Christ at the center of everything changes everything and when life is crazy, even able to like refocus and pause and like present and also know what I think is celestial. I think, okay, it's not like, okay, now I don't need to be stressed about this or so if this didn't work out or this didn't work out, it's okay. Let me readjust, move, go down a different path towards God in Jesus Christ and they're always going to help us out. So. Amen. So if you're thinking about a mission, full sense only we love their missions. We're always happy to talk about it if you have questions about it or you think something that I always say, I say the same thing about SSY2 is you won't regret going but you will regret not going or you might regret not going.
