Daily Wire’s morning segment blends entertainment, lifestyle, and politics, promoting its new film "Hyde Fight in Fidel's" and a fall-focused product recommendation: the Brooklyn Betting Thermo Balance Elite mattress, available with a 30% discount via promo code "Pray." It also highlights health solutions, such as Alloy Health, which offers remote menopause care with personalized plans and prescription delivery. Politically, the midterms are a focal point, with Obama campaigning for Democrat Abdul El-Sahead and Trump rallying Republicans in Michigan, while El-Sahead faces growing scrutiny over family ties to radical groups. Meanwhile, geopolitical tensions emerge as Ukraine’s use of Musk’s Starlink technology sparks debate over civilian military applications, and First Lady Melania Trump facilitates a humanitarian ceasefire in Leshi, signaling potential peace progress. Violent riots spread across Europe, with France, Italy, and Spain overwhelmed by protests, leading to thousands in arrests and widespread chaos. The segment underscores a broader shift in global power, with critics suggesting Europe is losing influence to China and the U.S. in economic and political affairs. These developments are framed as part of a larger narrative about resilience, technology, and democratic accountability.

One week out from the elections, Obama takes the stage to campaign for L-Syed while Trump works to get out the GOP vote. "Let's get out and do what we do best wishes to win. We know how to win. On November 3rd, go out and vote." Should Republicans be bracing for a blood bath or will Trump's closing arguments stave off the blue wave? I'm DailyWire, executive editor John Bickley. Georgia Howe is out this morning. It's Monday, October 26th. This is MorningWire. Elon Musk and first lady Melania Trump end up both playing crucial roles in the current standoff between Ukraine and Russia. Did you talk to President Putin or President Zelensky? We have the news you need to know. Every year around the holidays, we spend so much time trying to figure out the perfect gifts for the people that we love. And that's a wonderful thing. But it also got me thinking about the things that we do for our families that don't come wrapped under the tree, making sure that they're taking care of, planning for their future, giving them a little more peace of mind. That's what life insurance is about. It's not the most exciting thing to think about during the holidays, but it's a meaningful way to help provide financial security for the people who depend on you. An ethos makes getting life insurance surprisingly simple. You can get a quote in seconds, apply in minutes, and potentially get same day coverage all online. There's no medical exam. You just answer a few simple health questions online. You can get up to $3 million in coverage with some policies starting as low as $30 a month. So, while you're thinking about getting everything that you want for your loved ones this year, consider taking a few minutes to plan for their future too. Trump and Obama are battling it out just a week out before the midterms, both taking to the stage in Michigan, while the president has a busy week ahead of him, our DC bureau chief, Tim Rice joins us now. So Tim, let's start in Michigan with this very crucial Senate race between Abdul El-Sahead and Mike Rogers. Obama came out of the woodwork to campaign for El-Sahead on Saturday. What did he have to say? Yeah, it was a very classic Obama speech. We got a lot of his canned lines. He trotted back out, don't boo vote, which was a big hit in 2016. He said that progress and change were hard things to stop. Once you get them moving, you know, very evocative of his 2008 open change messaging. And he had some digs at Donald Trump. Again, very classic Obama. Not all of them landed. At one point, he joked that Trump's clear passion was interior design and he should get a show on HGTV and then said that he's turned the White House into something that looks like if Saddam Hussein decorated a cheesecake factory, which a lot of people thought was unnecessarily snobbish and putting down people who like the cheesecake factory. But other than that, it was a very standard long speech. Yeah, he said that Abdul El-Sahead was as Michigan as you can be, which was sort of an interesting nod, I think, to a lot of the accusations about Al-Sahead's radical Islamic beliefs and ties. But otherwise, it was mostly a very standard Democrat messaging at this stage in the game, which is to say, you have to vote for the Democrat. You can't let Republicans win vote for Abdul El-Sahead. Obama actually talked a lot about how we need to get common sense people in governors, mansions, and in the Senate. So even though he was in Michigan stumbling for El-Sahead, he took a lot of time to essentially just urge the crowd to vote Democrat up and down the ticket. Now, El-Sahead has been forced to really play defense on his family's radical ties. Part of the reason Obama's out there, I'm sure for him, is he winning or losing that public battle? He's definitely starting to lose it for two reasons. The first is that more stories are coming out. So we learned over the weekend that El-Sahead's mother's home was rated by the FBI because of her ties to suspected terrorist front groups and terrorist sympathy groups. And we know this because Abdul El-Sahead's half-sister set it in an interview. So this is not some rumor. This is his family. This sister, in fact, has given a lot of interviews in the past. We're posted on Facebook where she's set a lot of this stuff about their mother's ties to these radical Islamic fundamentalist groups, which is where a lot of these stories are coming out. And the other reason he's losing the war is where the stories are coming from. The New York Times is reporting this. NPR, the Washington Post, this isn't just conservative media that's paying attention, which is an indication that the story has gotten so big, so serious that even the mainstream media is reporting on it, is asking him questions about it. So Trump was also in Michigan stumping for Mike Rogers on Sunday. He has an absolutely grueling schedule through the next week. Though Trump seems to love this stuff, obviously. What's his closing argument to voters? Yeah, you know, it's funny that you say that he seems to love this stuff because I was having a conversation with our White House correspondent Mary Margaret Olehem the other day who was just an Iowa with the president and she said, you know, he's really taking the midterms on in a way that he doesn't necessarily have to, right? You expect presidents to campaign for their party to hurt support, but he, especially with somebody like JD Vance at his right hand who he could despatch to do all this stuff. The president is, as you said, hitting the campaign drill with the barnstorming for Republicans and his message, it's basically the inverse of Obama's message in Michigan, which is you have to vote for Republicans. Do you remember what Democrats did the last time they had the keys? Did you like the Joe Biden years? Did you like the way the economy was performing? Did you like how America was treated on the world stage? Did you like what they were teaching your kids in schools and putting on television? Did you like that you had to apologize for every microaggression or, you know, an act of racism? Do you want to go back to a time when everything was called racist and everyone was bad? No. If you don't want that, keep voting for Republicans. And it's a clever message. It's a bold message because what it does is it sort of, it's trumps attempts to allied a lot of the criticisms Republicans have faced this cycle, which is to say that they're not messaging strongly enough on the war in Iran, on the affordability crisis. What the president is trying to do is, and he said this explicitly, pretend that I'm on the ballot. Pretend that I'm on the ballot and just vote for Republicans. Trust us. You cannot give the keys back to Democrats. So it's very interesting. It obviously plays incredibly well with Trump's base and with self-identified mega voters. It's less effective with undecided or more centrist-leaning Republican voters, but we're going to see if it'll work out. Meanwhile, people can keep up to date at our election hub on DailyWire's website. That's right. Those polls are such rust. Tim, thanks so much for joining. Of course. Truth is under attack. Elon Musk's Starlink technology has found itself caught in the crossfire of the war between Russia and you cram.
Here to explain the situation and more is Victoria Cotes National Security expert ad heritage. So Victoria, for those who haven't been tracking this, why is Ukraine in this very public battle with Musk now and how is the U.S. handling all of this? This is a fascinating situation, John. It's really geopolitics and high technology colliding in the word Ukraine in that we couldn't have provided this kind of satellite-based internet access five, ten years ago. It wasn't possible. I know because we tried to do it during the 2019 protests in Iran. We didn't have the capability, but Elon developed it. And so then it was a great help to Ukraine in the early days of the Russian invasion, but the problem is it's a civilian system. It's designed to provide normal consumers with internet access. And when you start using it for military applications, you're then putting a private company in a very difficult position, and that's what Musk has been objecting to. Yes. So does Ukraine have its full access restored at this point? Well, President Trump has asked that Elon Musk restore full access, and they're looking at the military application of Starlink, which is called Star Shield, which is what is under U.S. government control. That is a much more appropriate system. My understanding is it's recently developed, but that's the kind of capability. As I said, I wish we'd had in 2019 if we can have it now and have that be a government application, not a civilian one. I think that would be extremely helpful. And does Musk seem to feel comfortable with that particular application being used in this context? I think that's what Star Shield is designed to do, and that's why it's U.S. government control. So the U.S. government is liable for what it does and does not do, not a private corporation, which has its responsibilities, obviously, to its stockholders and to its board of directors. So I think that would be a very important step in taking the technology out of the kind of middle ground, if you will, the shifting sands that it's been in for the last four and a half years. Now also related to Ukraine, the First Lady, Melania Trump, worked out a ceasefire deal that was announced as we headed into the weekend. Where does that stand? This is a really nice gesture on the part of the First Lady, supported by Pope Leo, who has not only been recovering from lung cancer surgery over the course of these last days, but also very involved in these negotiations. The touting question is called a Leshi. It's one of the older towns in southern Ukraine, and it was one of the first to be taken over by the Russians in February of 2022, and this suffering there has just been horrific. It's just about 25,000 people, not a big city by any stretch of the imagination, but essentially cut off by the Russians, and so the deal that the First Lady Brogherd will get humanitarian aid into a Leshi, which is desperately needed. As I said, supported by the Pope, she reached out to both President Zelensky and President Putin and got this deal done, really some excellent diplomacy. Does this seem like another indication that we might be moving toward some sort of peace deal? Yeah, it's definitely movement. And so on a very small scale, but hopefully this is a model that can be replicated in other larger towns, start to get that humanitarian access in. And I think it's not a coincidence, John, that we're suddenly getting this leak of a plan that was apparently on the table in the late spring of 2022, that that was on the table. Zelensky encouraged by Biden rejected it at that time. That might be back on the table now. Well, let's hope that this is a sign that we're moving toward a permanent peace deal between the two countries. Now moving to the other side of the Atlantic for something else that does have US implications as well, opposition leader, Maria Machado reappeared in Venezuela yesterday. What is happening there? Yeah. This is a really huge moment for the future of Venezuela. Maria Karina Machado is the leader of the opposition. She was probably legitimately elected to be president in the last round that was stolen by Maduro. And it's been an exile for the better part of a year has been communicating with the world from Panama City recently, and she has finally managed to get herself back in. And obviously, she's a friend to the White House. She presented her no-well peace prize to President Trump. She's close to Secretary Rubio. I think she's probably the one who can garner the most support in Venezuela. And I know everybody wanted this to happen immediately after January 3rd, but really important, we've started to get some institutions build up that can support her. So she doesn't become a prisoner of the security forces. And if Maria Karina wins, I fully expect she will support that oil deal because it's in the best interests of Venezuela as well as the United States and gives us a really powerful partnership in the Western hemisphere for really oil domination. Well, this could be another major piece of the puzzle falling into place in South America for the US. Victoria, thank you so much for coming on. It's a pleasure. Thank you, John. Violent rioting has spread to yet more countries in Europe now flaring up in Albania and Spain. Meanwhile, both France and Italy continue to struggle to contain the chaos. Joining us now to discuss the latest journalist and GB news Irish correspondent Douglas Beatty. Welcome on. So we're now seeing rioting spread into Barcelona, Albania, the Colosseum was swarmed by protesters over the weekend. But let's start in France. You were just on the ground there. French President Macron deployed 70,000 police over the weekend. The arrested 1,000 people is Macron going to get this under control or not? I witnessed over 300,000 of the marching in France yesterday. What does you do with them? You know, across France, they made 1,000 arrests. They were still arresting at 11 o'clock last night. I mean, I was tear gas yesterday inside. Oh, my gosh. Who cares? In Benson's door, as it's known that square, front at the Bansa, and I was tear gas in there. I mean, the police went in with shock grenades, then with tear gas, then water, and eventually sluts and button charges to lift those people. Now they've got the arrest. What did they do with them? These are Macron. These are socialists. These are people on the left. These are for street young people who see no future. Many future that is there, they're told that other people's culture comes first. And we've now seen clear evidence that these are highly organized riots in France and now several other countries, correct? Yes. Most definitely. But France was strange because France, although there was a lot of Palestinian flags and so forth there, it was a mixture of all kinds of socialists and leftists that were there. And they were talking for Macron to go. Five years ago, Macron was there champion, he was the man that was going to help them on their way. They were going to get better ridges in the universities, it was going to be better funding on all these public sectors. But all of a sudden, it is gone. It's being spat them more and more people coming into the country. Now as we mentioned, protesters did storm the Coliseum in Rome. Many of them were carrying Palestinian flags as usual. And I've got to be honest, this took my breath away because I'm a Roman history nut, apparently like every American male. What happened there and did that get bad or did they contain it? They contained it. I mean, the French tax policing, they don't know, you know, it was a masterclass in containing because of what happened the week before. Rome has very much done the same thing, they wanted to contain it. But they contained it. I mean, in France, it was over a thousand people arrested. What are they going to do with those people? You know, they can't make an example of it. They put them in prison when it's going to cost the taxpayer even more money. The business is over the weekend in Rome, in Barcelona, etc. that have lost money. That's not going to come back. So, you know, the politicians are going to need to start listening to this, but unfortunately, they seem to be very much down this line of Europe is right and we are following this. Is it any wonder that America has basically walked away from Europe at this point and said, we can't deal here? They are doing their best to deal, but when we look at this now, what we've really seen is China and America really being the forces that are going forward and starting the control of the world's economy through GDP, through the price of oil, or amount of factory, or whatever, and that is exactly where Europe's out of the minute. It's not in the game, but it won't be in the game because if you really look at spreadsheets and haven't got any money. Total chaotic situation, thank you so much for spending the time to talk to us. Thank you very much for having me.
