The transcription is a compilation of podcast advertisements and a segment from the show "Devil's Trend Bones." The hosts, Jack O'Brien and Miles, engage in casual banter, focusing on one host's excessive love for marinara sauce, which he adds to pasta and pizza. They recount a restaurant incident where a pizza lacked marinara, leading to a humorous exchange with staff. The conversation shifts to criticizing Pete Hegseth, a political figure, for his poor workout form in viral videos, with military experts quoted as saying his exercises would fail basic standards. This leads to broader commentary on hypocrisy and projection of power. Additionally, they discuss Hunter Biden's claim about a "closeted gay mafia" in D.C. politics, particularly among Republicans, and his evasive responses when asked to name individuals like Stephen Miller or Lindsey Graham. The segment is interspersed with promotions for other podcasts, including health, sports, and mystery series, highlighting iHeartRadio's diverse content. Overall, the transcription blends humor, political critique, and promotional material.

Hello the internet and welcome to this episode of Devil's Trend Bones. In honor of the Devil's Backbone, Scariest Water Slide in Bahamaar, Bahamaar, which we're still here. It's our second or last episode coming to you from the Bahamas, from Island's Time. It's early Island's time. It's early. You may hear it in our voices. Yeah. Okay. You just woke up. Hey, that's the Devil's Backbone. Some of the fucker has school wheels. That thing is twisty. You think there's a spinal doctor who looks at the thing? I might need a spinal doctor after going on that thing because it banged me around. The first time it banged me around and then as I was saying, I kind of went with the water. I had access. I went with the water. It was a big event. I accessed my James Cameron and I followed the way of the water. Sure. The second time and it was really much easier. So, you know, this is the first time. Yeah, the first time I was like, "Go, go!" That's the Dow Day Devil's Backbone. Dow Day Devil's Backbone. Yeah, yeah. My name's Jack O'Brien. That over there is Mr. Miles. Yes. Yes. Yes. Counting the days down. The hour's down. Yeah, we're at hours now. Yeah. Yeah. It's thrilled to be joined in our third seat by Super Producer Anna Hosniay. Cheerio. There it is. There you go, right? All right. All right. Here we go. All right. Hey, move me in, baby. We got that SNL sketch that was like Bill Hader and it was just like indesciproble and like a cerebral bridge. Oh, you too well. You want some red tape? Hey, you want some red tape? Oh, no. Oh, no. All right. Oh, no, man. Just trying to pass you by. And I think canceled Russell Brand isn't it? Hey, man. He was really, he was really a thing there for a little while. Hey, man, he really was. Um, let's train here. I'll tell you what's trending. We're bringing Russell Brand back. No. That guy. Um, what's trending? What are we talking about? We're talking about, um, where, what else? What else? What else? What about my marinara addiction? Oh, we're going to say that's what we're going to say about. That's right. That's a trender. You guys really wanted to talk about this. You think I might have a problem. Like this is two meals on and I have had with you where you've summoned multiple bowls of a Pomodoro sauce for a, for a pasta dish that already had sauce. You go, uh, can I, can I get some marinara on the side? Yeah. And then once that goes out, you're like, I'm sorry. Can I get a little bit more marinara on the side? Yeah. And it was a two-two dippers. It was like this, but wasn't it when we went to dinner in Los Filos at one time? Yeah. The first one wasn't adequate and jacket, but I'm sorry. I'm going to need like a lot. All right. Let me speak on my own. Okay. The on behalf of my client, the prosecution rests. I do have an addictive personality and I do love marinara sauce, maybe a little bit too much to my favorite. I don't feel like I have pizza. If the pizza doesn't have some red sauce on it, that's just cold. Coldly crazy pizza. Coldly crazy pizza. The first one. The first time we ate at this restaurant, the shall remain unnamed. We don't remember the name because I have no idea what it was named. Il forno? No, no, no. Anyway, just start saying names. Yeah, just a couple Italian words that I've eager to remember. It was like it was Tamboli's pasta and pizza. I just put it that, but it's that. Miles Tamboli. But they had a pizza that claimed marinara sauce, which is the first thing I'm checking for when I'm ordering a pizza. I ordered it. It came with my least favorite thing is when they just slice up regular tomatoes on it. Oh, that's right. There was like, you know, the raw tomato. Yeah, yeah, yeah. It's like, I was like, hey, just like did I get the wrong pizza? She was like, sorry, we were out of marinara sauce or something like that. She probably say that. Kind of a vital ingredient. Yeah, yeah. And she's like, oh, you're one of these particular guys. She was giving me shit. Well, you like things as described in a menu, huh? I asked for some marinara sauce on the side and it was delight. And so last night, which is weird though, how was there no marinara for your pizza, but then suddenly? Miles, their story fell apart pretty quickly. And I chose not to prosecute the case in the moment and not a day goes by. You should have had your son there, dude. Your son would not have let that slide. I've seen him ask pointed questions at animal encounters. Really good ones too. Like even get experts caught up. Yeah, my kids are the zoo get the zoo hosts and the best guy. The best of you went to go and see the shark tank with like fish and stuff. And like, and the guy was like, there's only these are the only predatory fish. And he's like, but the other fish do, but he's like, sorry, but these fish are eating like krill and stuff. So how are they not predatory? Right. Well, being, when you said these were the only predatory fish, they're like, well, I mean, it's different because they're on. Anyway, anyway, yeah, really. No, it's like, he reminds me of me where he has to get, he has to have the answer satisfying for us. The knowledge base is not complete. Yeah, I respect that. So then cut to the means well, cut to last night, cut to last night. My son ordered butter pasta and he runs in the family was like, could I get some marinara sauce on the side because those were the two. It was pomadoro. It was a pomadoro. I like your wife keeping like, it's pomadoro. And it is a good, it is a famous pomadoro sauce. And he dipped his pasta in it a little bit and was done. And then I was like, well, give that here. My pasta dish doesn't have marinara on it. And so I started dipping every single knocky that I ate into the marinara sauce. And I got to say, I have no regrets. No, no, not at all. That's not a marinara on the rig. You say, knocky, I say, no, I heard you say that. I said, Gnash, sort of like, hey, man, I get some of that Gnash Gnatchy. Gnash, marinara Gnatchy guys back. But yeah, I don't, I also do not approve of what's it called, the little squid, fried squid. Calamari. Calamari, I don't approve of Calamari being served without marinara sauce. That's a marinara dipping sauce. A friedo meast though. Wow. That's just how I am. Yeah. I guess I'm old-fashioned. Yeah. I hear you. I guess I'm a little fucked up. All right. What else is going on? Let's talk about beat Higgseth, guys. What's happening? So harsh on others. His brand is basically took over the military and started treating everybody in the military like a gym teacher, calling everyone else Sally. Right. You know what I mean? Soft. Yeah. Hey, Susie, you want to get over here and show me some push-ups. We need more testosterone, everyone. Literally. So people, and he's also dropping these videos of himself working out. Can't stop. He's like, I've got to show the people how strong I am. But he is in such a bubble of. of, you know, yes, man is on that he does not realize that he looks like shit when he's working out. Like, when I see him as like a non fitness expert in any respect, I'm like, something's off. That's not how those exercises are supposed to go. I don't like him, there's legs, miles. (laughs) - I like those legs. - No, I like those legs. - Well, 'cause I feel like every time we've had a steady flow of videos of him working out, I can't stop posting them. - And usually like on like a liberal Twitter, it's like the last five reps, so it looks extra sloppy. And then the other side's like, you gotta see the whole thing where it looks like shit the whole time. - Yes. - And that's where, yeah, for such a tough guy, you're like, yeah, you gotta actually get your form right. Get your form right. - Yeah. And so there's actually fitness instructors, like military fitness instructors, the sort of people who would enforce this are coming through and being like, none of his reps are good. Like he's doing, he just posted a pushup pullup challenge with RFK Jr. RFK, their main complaint is he's wearing jeans all the time. - It's just like, what the fuck are you doing? - They know they're military. They're first things like, first of all, he's got jeans on. - I mean, I think that's military. That's also just, gym, gym etiquette. - Would he insist some, or I'm right, so I'm going to do the gym yesterday? - Those are shorts. - Okay. - They were very good. - The cut is high above the knee. - They do seem athletic. - We got inches of the knee. - They're all the names. - Wait, who are the people, so there did a news outlet be like, hey, you need to check these out. What is your assessment as someone who does boot camp? Because I remember there was that one clip when he was working out and you could hear one of the drill instructors be like, one, one, one, in the very first rep, he's like, all the way down, all the way up. Pete, you can hear him in the background. So this guy from the Atlantic, not always my favorite outlet. Don't subscribe. - They would have been, I couldn't read the whole article, but media, I did, you know, kind of summarize it for us. He wrote an article called Pete Hegseth. You call that a pull up. And he went and spoke to the sort of people who like go to boot camp and are like, you soft body, you know, yet yell at people, call them Sally, tell them that they're form sucks. And he's like, Hegseth's pushups wouldn't pass mustard in any branch of the military. The results are a no go in military parlance. - You guys got Hegseth's arrangement syndrome, probably, you know. Former Navy SEAL, Stu Smith. - What does that guy know about a pushup? - He's written a series of books about how to qualify for the special forces. Told the Atlantic. He wouldn't comment specifically on Hegseth's video because he doesn't evaluate the performance of people unless they ask, but he said he stresses to a student the importance of going all the way down and all the way up. - All right. - Whether it's a pull up pushup or bench press. - Nothing can stop me. I'm all the way up. All the way up. - And down. - Yeah. - And then other retired Brigadier general, Maureen LeBuff, said she would have failed him. - Maureen LeBuff. - LeBuff. - Oh, fuck yeah. - The beef. - Yeah. - She's here to bring it. She doesn't give a fuck about some beef. - No, no. - She also held a position at West Point known as Master of the Sword. - Is that a he-man character? (laughing) What is Master of the. (laughing) - See, that's the kind of thing that if I knew as a kid, I'm going in the military. - Yeah. - I wanna be Master of the Sword. You're just the head of the Department of Physical Education. That's what I'll, okay. - That's still pretty. - So head PE teacher. - I can understand. - As somebody who should be considered a register, should have to register as body as a weapon. - Yeah. - I understand calling the Master of Physical Education, the Master of the Sword. LeBuff says she would have failed him. She said that nothing she saw from the Defense Secretary in that video would have counted if she had been the greater. Would have counted. And she has graded thousands of such tests. His pull ups or chin ups and the kicking that he does, you would never allow that. Again, don't like his legs, man. - Yeah. - You'd stop somebody, you'd say, okay, you're done. But he just keeps kicking and it's not a good look. Again, it looks does not pass the eye test. - Yeah. - I just, these people are just so thoroughly and profoundly full of shit in a way that is just so evident for everybody to see. - Yeah, well, it's always the projection of power, the influence when you're just hiding that you're hiding the Emperor with no clothes for like a full year. But like everybody, you know, the mainstream media is just like, is the Emperor wearing no clothes? More to let, you know, get, you can't save that they're not wearing clothes. - All right, let's take a quick break. We'll be right back. (upbeat music) - Talking about guns with others might not always feel comfortable, but it could save a life. Here's a way to start a conversation. Your family is going over to your neighbor's home for dinner for the first time. How would you ask if there are any unlocked guns in the home? - Hey. - Hey, we're so excited for tonight. Before we come over though, may I ask if there are any unlocked guns in your home? - Our guns are stored securely and locked in a safe that the kids can't access. - Awesome. Learn how to have the conversation at agree2agree.org, brought to you by the Ad Council. - Hey everybody, I'm Tureka Foster-Brasvy. What's up y'all? When you tune in to a new episode of our podcast levels to this, you're definitely gonna get some spy CWNB analysis. - I see a lot of men who get into the space because now it's a hot product, and that grinds my gears to dust. But then the conversation goes on and levels up beyond basketball. - It's been really, really cool seeing kind of these women just really step into their power off the court and understand that they aren't basketball, right? - Because on levels to this, the game is always the starting point, but we're more than just hoops. This is levels to this, the podcast about all the levels of stuff that women go through. Listen to levels to this, which show Swoops and Tureka Foster, Brasvy on the iHeartRadio app, Apple Podcast, or wherever you get your podcasts. - I'm Mungusha Teguera, and I'm back with a new season of the podcast Skyline Drive. This time I'm diving into a rabbit hole of peptides, organoids, blood boys, blue zones, and brain replacement to try to understand what this longevity obsession is all about. And what it really means to live forever for all of us. I learned about some rad science. - I can make a brain for you, and then we can test what draw is the best for your brain, as opposed to his brain. - Here's some hard truths. - I would expect Indians to age faster, but I did not expect it to be almost a four to five year acceleration. - And get myself into a world of trouble. - I'd say probably start bone smashing. - That doesn't work. - Make you look more defined. - They say it works. I don't know. - Listen to Skyline Drive, how to live forever on the iHeart Radio app, Apple Podcast, or wherever you get your podcasts. - We've all been there. We've had seasons that have shaken everything. The question is, what remains when the shaking stops? Hi, I'm Gary Valenzhano, and on my podcast, Unshaken with GaryVee, I sit down with amazing personalities, and we talk about the seasons that nearly broke them, the lows that carried them to their highs. - Listen to Unshaken with GaryVee on the iHeart Radio app, Apple Podcasts, or wherever you get your podcasts. - And we're back. We also got a story earlier this week where Hunter Biden said that Washington is run by, do you say a closet in-- - Closeted mom. - Yeah. - Yeah. It was on the iHeart Radio app, podcast with Jennifer Welch that he went on. - Yeah. - That was the show was on? - Yeah. - God, that is such a good show. To have Hunter Biden on and to let him say that. - It's just like funny when you look at this screencast, like they're sitting down and what he's saying is, quote, "Everybody knows there's like this "closeted gay mafia largely Republican "that existed Washington DC, "and everybody knows every single one of them, "who's gay, okay." - Everyone knows that every single one of them - The only reason that this is-- - Again, this shit sounds like elementary. - Hold on, Hunter. Then it goes on, quote, "The only reason that this is relevant "is because I believe that internal conflict creates "so much vitriol inside a person "that they take it out on the rest of the world." And so what they do is their whole lives, they've been closeted. So you have this black ball inside yourself, this blackened heart by the fact that you can't be who you wanna be. And so you take it out on everybody else. These men, largely men, have done exactly that. And there are everybody knows who they are, everybody. So I don't-- - Yeah. - And I've heard rumors. - Yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah. - Oh dang, look, they have a little thing that says the studio, Bahamur, - He just says that. - He just says that. - Yes, he's laughing the whole time. - Yeah, wow, good. - Jack has just been completely distracted by a TV screen in this studio that says, "The studio welcomes the daily zeitgeist." Yeah, this is nice. - Look at that. up for days. I've been locked into the doc. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. I mean, which I understand, right? Like when I first heard he said, closet game off, he was like, uh, oh, like the student has gone off the rails. Oh, like where is he going with this? Yeah. Yeah. Because like you'll hear people say that sort of thing about like Hollywood right before they just like go off right, right? The deep end. Yeah. And like need to be institutionalized. And, uh, but this seems a little bit more in line with like what you hear from people and yeah, who are familiar with the Republican party. He then went on the Don Lemon podcast. And I was like, I'm not naming names. Are you asking me if Stephen Miller is gay? Are you asking me if Mike Johnson is like, I'm not going to answer that. You literally just said they were gay essentially to every you are you are you asking me that because I'm not going to answer it. I'm not going to say I'm asking me if Stephen Miller secretly gay is full time straight up. I didn't say that. So wait, you're asking me if Lindsey Graham about him. Yeah. I don't know. Lindsey Graham was the one that I feel like everybody knows, right? That was why Lee reported all the time. I did not know. I had not heard Stephen Miller. I had not heard Mike Johnson. I mean, Mike Johnson, a lot of people were like interesting. It's just so interesting what he chooses to share if that's true because he, but that does kind of make sense of his. A covenant eyes thing for new listeners. Mike Johnson had this weird thing where he was like bragging about how he and his son are in this like dead man switch. There's like a porn monitoring app they installed on their phones to be like to keep accountability to each other for not looking at salacious material on the internet. If you look at porn, it gets sent to your son. Yeah. And vice versa. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Which is like the weirdest thing that I can possibly imagine. And he was like bragging about it being like, yeah. So that's so in that respect, it feels like, okay. So this is somebody who's like trying to fit in. Yeah. Yeah. He's like, I'm sexually active. Yeah. My son knows about and I'm also yeah, but just like crazy way the fuck off. It didn't work. It didn't work. It didn't work anyway. So we talk Cal she. Cal she just launched their midterm hub, which will allow people to gamble on the upcoming election. They're trying very hard to seem like a legit news outlet. They've got a whole CNN style map and everything. Democrats have a 82% chance to control the house according to Cal she, which I want somebody to do like I just tried this this morning, but it, you know, it's hard to figure out in a half as internet research way how accurate the markets are because there's just too much. I'm googling from within like on the American internet. Obviously the internet is going to be like, yes, very accurate. Right. Right. Very accurate. You should spend your money here. But like I want somebody to do a scientific analysis like how do these markets compare in terms of predictions with Vegas with, you know, that octopus that predicts the world cup for you know what I mean. But anyway, because I like literally this morning, I went to Cal she to see what the latest is on Lebron because and this is a weird thing like, wait, why are you so into it? Why are you looking at just to see like where you think people, the money is going. Yes. So it's there's a weird assumption that's become baked into this, which is that people with inside information are gambling on it. And so with regards to Lebron. So we're recording this before Lebron has announced where he's going next year. He went, the odds earlier this week were heavy Cleveland. And then in the past couple days, it switched that heavy Miami. Yeah. And in another world, I'd be like, oh, like there must be just like, it must be something in the mainstream media or something. But with this, because it's a corrupt market, you kind of have to assume that there's somebody with inside information that the numbers are being nudged by someone who absolutely knows does become a very useful tool in some respects. I don't know. We'll see. I don't know. I can't talk about it. But last week, the teleprompter opera trumps teleprompter operator got busted for making almost a hundred grand on like police prediction markets about his speeches. But this is the guy who loads the teleprompter. I feel like you could make a lot of money on cows. He just like, if you have access to seeing when somebody randomly makes a huge bet on like the first word of Trump's state of the unions speech, you'd be like, well, that motherfucker knows something. That's even a little for sure. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Well, I mean, it seems like it's now like the CFTC does like look into those things, but probably just at lower levels. Like if you're, you know, George Santos. Yeah. You're going to get busted. The teleprompter guy. You're RFK junior. You're fine. Yeah. Yeah. You're skating. Um, anyways, uh, I think it's an interesting tool. I think it's bad for the world. No, but it's like, it gives you a look in like, what's the black market saying? Yeah. Exactly. Like this unregulated market where I think everybody's probably playing that same game and trying to like read the tea leaves and be like, this is a big bet. So we're going to like, uh, all the money's going to start like kind of avalanching in that direction. Um, but one detail people are like, it's illegal to bet on an election that you then vote in. Yeah. Because you're, yeah. You can't, you can't bet on a sports sporting event that you participate in. So like this is obviously on a much lower level, but that's actually in the, you know, fine print. It says the Wisconsin elections commission warned voters that state law prohibits people from voting and an election in which they have made or become interested directly or indirectly in any bet or wager depending on the result of the election. Right. Um, and then cowshe's, uh, fine print says voters who make bets on elections could be subject to voter qualification administrative challenges and even be referred to the district. Oh, yeah. Every degenerate, the, the words every degenerate gambler fears the most. Yeah. What's that? No. I can be subject to voter qualification administrative challenges and could be referred to the district attorney. Well, I'm certainly not going to throw my money away on the broad going to whoever is going wherever. Yeah. Um, and well, I mean, I, I wonder how this is like working. I'm really curious how this business deal works out for like all the news networks that are like integrating this, like to see. And then it was the real one to be like, yeah, this is kind of part of our model now to just be like, but for them, it feels more of like a publicity PR thing to erase cowshe and their news coverage rather than like looking like peeling it back a little bit and be like, no, people who have access to information are trying to monetize that in an immoral way. Yeah. Um, anyway, we think of what I was going personally. I mean, based on, no, not based on your heart, based on my heart. Um, based on your heart to Cleveland, man, like Miami, I think he's on me on me. I think so too, but like he's re in a way. Do you want to retire? Cleveland or Miami? Definitely Cleveland. No. Hey, first of all, he's not, he's like, no, he doesn't even have to, like, I know, but I just, I think he can apartment there. He can like leave after games on his private jet. Just narratively speaking though. He's sorry I'm getting choked up getting the clown. This is as a LeBron failure lifelong, like, love LeBron. One of the hardest moments was the decision. Not because like it just like he didn't, I think respect his, I was glad he was going somewhere where he could win and Cleveland was not a good organization at the time they were not building a winner around him, but it was just like the way it was handled was shitty. And so to like bring that back, like those aren't like the best thing he ever did was go back to Cleveland and win. Yeah. Like that's, that is his moment. That's his like, you know, Jordan championship. Yeah. So it's just, you want to have for us or the emotional story from the narrative. Yeah. And I want to try like the beach side. Well, and I also don't think Miami's going to be good. Is my problem. Like they're going to be honest. They're going to have Janus, Bam and LeBron. None of who can really shoot. Yeah. Yeah. I don't know. It just feels feels like a weird fit, but I like him better than, I like him with that Donovan Mitchell better. I feel like that. I always feel like Donovan Mitchell's on the verge of just like having a playoffs where he like tears through. Right. You know, puts up 50 again. We always, he always puts those runs together. We're like, oh, he's going to have a body. Yeah. But they kind of end up not lining up at the right time. Yeah. Keep going. Yeah. Anyways, we're going to end it there. We are back tomorrow with a whole last episode of the show. Yeah. Until then be kind to each other. Be kind to yourself. Yeah. Get your back to the evening. So, can't get your flu shots. Yeah. Go down a water slide. If you can keep your butt hold tight, keep your butt hold tight. Don't do nothing about weights. Promise you and we will talk to you all tomorrow. Bye!
