Rund 150 bis 170 Personen beteiligten sich am 18. September 2026 vor der türkischen Botschaft in Wien an einer Kundgebung der Solidarität mit der Quirn-Community in der Türkei und protestierten gegen die gegen LGBTQ-Blasorganisationen und Treffpunkte sowie gegen Menschenlechtsakte wisternengerichterten Repressionen und Ratsien durch die türkischen Behörden. Liebe Community, herzlich willkommen. Danke, dass ihr heute da seid, um ein Zeichen zu setzen, so nah wie man nach dem Wiener Recht an die türkische Botschaft drankommt, gegen die Repression, die die Quirre-Community in der Türkei schon langer aber vor allem in den letzten Monaten erlebt. Wir sind heute mitten in Wien zusammenkommen. Als Entbündnis von der Soho Österreich, den Grünen an das Rum der Quirbas und der Hose Wien, zusammen mit vielen anderen Aktivistinnen, um zu sagen, dass die Verfolgung und die Repression, die von Erdogan gegen Quirre-Menschen in der Türkei kommt, etwas ist, was nicht nur eine Antwort aus Österreich und Europa braucht, sondern was wir in einer demokratischen Welt niemals akzeptieren, dann danke das ihr da seid. Just a few organisational details, first of all, please watch out for the trams, that no one is like gonna get hurt here on the side. These speeches are gonna be in German, in English and in Turkish. If you don't understand one of these languages, please ask someone who is present to help you with the translation. We will try to make it as accessible as possible. In the end, after the speeches, we will do a group picture. And for the first speech, I would ask Mo Blau from Hose Wien. Hallo an alle. Danke, dass sie hergekommen seid. Es ist immer schwierig, weil wir so viele Anlässer haben, zudem wir zusammenkommen, sei es trauer, sei es Übergriffe und auch gerade von der Hose Wien, also der Verein dem ich angehörere, sehen wir auch, dass in Österreich die Repressalien nicht weit wechseln. Es versucht zum Beispiel jetzt schon die FPÖ durch parlamentarische Anfragen, irgendwelche Dinge zu finden, die sie an uns angreiten können und werden Dinge vorgeworfen und genauso sind die Türkei jetzt vor kurzem passiert. Wenn was in der Türkei passiert, dann passiert es uns ein. Es ist nicht so, dass wenn eine Person in unserer Community angegriffen wird, die anderen sich einfach denken, okay, dass es halt vielleicht ein anderer Buchstabe unter dem Regenbogen oder es ist in einem anderen Land. Ich trage heute auch die Tracht meiner Familie, um zu zeigen, dass wir auch in Österreich eine multikulturelle Gemeinschaft sind und es ist einfach wichtig, solidarisch uns zu zeigen, dass es einmal bei den Leuten, die hierher geflüchtet sind, teilweise auch aus sogenannten "sicheren" Herkunftsländern, die teilweise hier keiner süß bekommen, einfach nur weil behauptet wird, dass sie ja eigentlich aus einem sicheren Land kommen. Das gilt aber für Queerepersonen eben nicht. Also ganz oft, wenn man das Gefühl hat, dass eigentlich jemand sicher ist in dem Land, geht es zum Beispiel für Queerementchen, für Frauen auch nicht. Der Frauenring hat heute seine Solidarität beschlossen, dass ein Verwund von Frauenverein von Österreich und sie zeigen damit ihre Solidarität. Es ist auch ganz wichtig, dass nicht nur die Queerekommunitie alleine dafür kämpft. Wir sind zwar zehn Prozent der Bevölkerung, aber wir können es nicht alleine machen, denn auch wenn wir die Queerekommunitie angreift, die Frauen verstehen aus der Diskriminierung, die ihnen passiert, dass das auch sie angreift. Weil es können alle die nächsten sein. Wir können uns nicht zurücklehnen, egal ob wir weiß sind, egal ob wir Männer sein könnten. Es betrifft uns alle. Wenn wir nicht Solidarität zusammenstehen, mitte Türkei jetzt und uns Erdogan entgegenstellen, sei es nur politisch, sei es um den politischen Verantwortlichen auch in Österreich zu zeigen, dass wir dagegen stehen, dann es ist wichtig, ihnen auch. Wir haben zum Beispiel auch in offenen Brief initiiert als Hosewin, der vielleicht auch dazu geführt hat, dass die Ausministerin sich dazu geäußert hat. Auch da ist es mir noch mal als Transgenderaferat Hosewin wichtig zu sagen. Es geht nicht nur darum, wen man liebt, weil das Wein im Posting zum Beispiel so, sondern es geht auch darum, welche Geschlechtsidentität man hat. Gerade wenn man transitioniert kann es teilweise sein, dass man einfach keine Medikamente mehr bekommt, die man benötigt, dass wir in anderen Fällen unmöglich, dass wir das Sprichte Menschen rechten. Und wir sollten uns solidarisch zeigen, wie ich gerade schon gesagt habe, weil ansonsten sind wir die nächsten Solidarity, with the Türkei und danke, dass sie alle hier gesagt, wie es denn seid oder immer noch seid. Ich gebe weiter an die Q&A Base. Thank you everybody for showing up. We are from Q&A Base. Dann kann alle die heute da sind. Q&A Base unterstützt LGBTQ Workages. Es werden immer mehr Länder, die Schutz brauchen und in Österreich versuchen, diesen Ort zu bekommen. Das ist sehr schwer. Ich werde dazu nach der Rede von Adil noch mehr dazu sagen. Aber jetzt folgt eine Rede von Adil als auch bei uns im Vorstand. Und die soft-türkisch und ich werde sie dann ad hoc nicht, dass ich türkisch kannte, aber ich hoffe, englisch wiedergeben. Access to social media accounts of the targeted organizations and supporting activists have been blocked and these actions and the political rhetoric clearly demonstrated this is not a public order operation but a systematic attempt to intimidate LGBTQ individuals and their rights. LGBT LGBTQ+ identity human rights advocacy and sexual health services cannot constitute evidence of a crime. Accusing a diverse group of individuals organizations and claims of crimes through sweeping blanket charges based on their identities is not justice. It is singling them out. Erdogan and his incompetent administration achieve replica of the mindset that does not hesitate to sacrifice a nation's independence and future for the sake of its own reign and self-interest. Do not hesitate to sacrifice not only our nation's freedom and future but also its conscious. They are attempting to shift the focus of society away from the social problems arising from their own incompetence and onto the existence of LGBTQ+ citizens by fueling the homophobia and transphobia and queer phobia and hatred that is already existing within society. Instead of protecting and reassuring LGBTQ+ citizens against the hate crimes we face in daily life, they are attempting to turn the public against one another through narrow-minded prejudice by demonizing us. On the other hand politicians who tried to market the comfort of their own seats as the peace of society so-called opinion leaders who act as peddlers for clans and communities reminiscent of medieval mindset are playing not quite the three monkeys but rather two and a half monkeys. So it's not to jeopardize the political deals they have struck with the Erdogan. It meets all these difficulties and dangers. We will never ever lose hope. Those at the root of the systematic hatred we face are so ignorant, so reckless and so far removed from science and historical knowledge that they labor under the solution that they could stand in the way of a very existence. Just as we did not come to realize our identity through politicians with this or that person's permission or through a series of film on a digital platform, we will not give up our love because of the crease of bands. We will and we will be. I would like to talk to you about the situation of Turkish who have already been in Austria and have already been here or have already been here. But we also know that in Austria, there are a lot of countries around Turkey that are not sure about her art. And Turkey is very clear that this is not the case, but Istanbul is no longer a safe place for queer people in Turkey. That is why we have these roots and the innovations and this breakdown also show. We would like to take care of each other, and all the other organizations that have been also applied to the HIV and AIDS organizations. We know what to share in the context of your social experience. People are very passive of the care through these organizations. Many have no access to HIV-medicaments, and that is life-threatening, as well as for trans people. It is also for HIV-positive people, life-threatening. That means, of course, on the other hand, there is no care of HIV-positive people. That is, it is also particularly high. That means, people are looking for more or less places where they could find support for prevention. That is, here is the situation for queer and HIV-positive people. It has become much worse. What does that mean now in Austria? We are setting clear requirements that Turkey does not give any more safe, health care money. That cannot be done. Because what this rate is also meant to be, in the underground, that no one can be allowed to be allowed to live in the open, or fear that they will be discovered. That is also the reason why it is necessary to be allowed to be allowed to live in the open, and that it is also prepared for the youth. The other thing is that we are very familiar with the people who come from such countries, such as the United States, or from the countries that are less than 20% of the population, that is, there are many countries such as the LGBTQ+ people criminalizing, that these do not cause any harm to the citizens. The harm to the citizens is something that has come with the new asylum pack, that is, the country where it is bad to look at, that you get asylum. People are very, very fast driven. We know, but also that we need to get used to the police, the state-owned people, just a little bit of time, to get used to it, and the community needs support. That is why LGBTQ refugees come out from the lost and out of the limit. They have to remove no exception into the normal law. (Applause) We are solidarity with the Turkish queer community, and we are now also happy with the few, or a couple of people who, tomorrow, also organize the demonstrations, today are here, and also share flyers, so tomorrow at 14 a.m., there is also a further demo with hopefully more space. And there will be one person from the queer-feminist intersectional collective for us now. (Applause) (Applause) Hello. I am not part of the queer-feminist collective, but I share this message with all of you on behalf of a grassroots by-park queer intersectional feminist movement that has emerged as an aftermath of the recent operations directly targeting queer existence in Turkey. Dear community, although it is not comparable to what our community back in Turkey is facing every day, it is still dangerous for us to be giving the speech here right now, especially as immigrants who are already struggling with various other difficulties due to our status. Even long before the current unlawful operations, the government of Turkey has been purposefully targeting LGBTQ+ existence and organizations at every chance. Perversion, dysfunction, deviance, plague, disease, and many more are the words used by the current government over the years to target LGBTQ+ individuals and spread the hateful discourse against queer existence. Since its withdrawal from the Istanbul Convention, which was created to fight against every form of violence, sexual harassment, and gender inequality targeting women and LGBTQ+, the government abandoned its duty to prevent all kinds of violence and once again prioritized the preservation of the patriarchal order of the lives over the lives of women and LGBTI+ individuals, destroying the safety of our constitutional rights. As such, we know that the operations that were carried out this past week are not isolated incidents. It is also a part of a series of crackdowns since Edoan declared the following years, Decat of Family and Population, during his speech in 2025. Ever since then, the government and its institutions increased the volume and the steps they take to repress LGBTI+ and human rights activism and queer existence in the name of family and moral values. As announced multiple times before, they openly threatened to continue their battle against our existence at least until 2035. Each year, the local municipality's ban pried all around the country as instructed to them by the regime. Each year, activists and queer individuals insist on taking the streets, despite these bans, facing an imminent detention and possible arrest among social consequences. The systemic targeting leads our community exposed to discrimination in housing and employment as well, along with barriers accessing health care and other social challenges. On top of all of these, they are currently under an attack that has escalated to terrifying new proportions. The so-called sacred family structure of a heteronormative and cisnormative mother, father and child that they promise to protect has been turned into a political weapon targeting women and LGBTI+ individuals. This political pressure has been forcing queer people to conform to traditional gender roles, fueling domestic violence and political suicides, constantly threatening their chosen families and generating systemic and targeted transphobia. Today in Turkey, on top of the relentless family and social hostility they face, simply for existing, trans people are also systemically stripped of their basic human rights through unlawful sanctions, such as blocked access to hormone therapy, deliberate delays or bans and gender affirming procedures, and the loss of their drops and homes. Every single LGBTI+ person in Turkey is forced to fight for survival amidst constant fear for their lives, systemic violence, discrimination and deep psychological distress. As a grassroots movement we are a group of people of Turkey with different gender identities, sexual orientations, ethnicities and backgrounds, who share the anger, sadness and frustration of our comrades back in Turkey. We are the voice of all those who are silenced answering the call of solidarity wholeheartedly with urgency and with care. Let this be known, we will hear long before them, we are here now and we will hear long after they are gone. Today we stand with the LGBTI+ community of Turkey and all those who are stripped of their freedom, unlawfully just for speaking up for basic human rights. No, our family is not safe at all. These interventions are an unlawful attack on human rights and even on the constitution itself. For this reason, firstly and urgently we demand the government to immediately release the LGBTI+ and human rights activists and individuals who are stripped of their freedom. This past week and even before them, whose numbers weigh exceed 80 and increased by day. Furthermore, we demand immediate access to block websites and Instagram accounts. LGBTI+ existence and human rights advocacy cannot be criminalized. Here with you today we believe in the power of international solidarity. As such, we call on everyone here to engage in organized solidarity that transcends borders. We hope to see you on Saturday, 2pm at Defense Plots as we organize our first solidarity demonstration. I thank you for being organized and thank you too for the fact that we are worldwide part of a large movement, part of a movement that shows that nothing has happened in any country, all other things are not interested. It is no surprise that the Türkei, the fact that it is not a surprise that nobody knows that the Türkei is over the burden on the way that it has been handed over to itself. If you think that it is a big part of it, it is a surprise that we do not know that the Türkei does not do anything, but also not. The numbers in the European Union are not enough for human rights against the Türkei and the Gangensindinies in a way that is not enough. That is why this action is not surprising. But what is surprising and surprising is that this intensity, with which we show that we are looking for the weakest in society, we are looking for us, the ones we have already had for years, small and small, and we are going to tell all others that we would do it for the citizens. And that is the problem. Because the problem is no, no single family is sure if not everyone is sure. And exactly what we have seen here, as long as it is possible, that at the wrong direction the police takes people out, takes people out, takes people out, takes people out, takes the Internet out, blocks out, social media out, just to try to find a way out and to help this way. As long as we know that there is no security in this country, and it is important that we all stand here today. And it is important that you all stand here today to show that this does not happen without the openness of the public. To show people that you are not alone, the whole world is behind you, standing before you and standing with you. Just like we are here in Austria. And we will also, in two weeks, the plenum in the EU is also there. It is planned to stay in the openness of the public. It is there that the public are also allowed to talk about the public. That is not going to happen. You are now a part of a community. And you have for everyone, for everyone that belongs to you, in the same place, the human rights that do not protect all human rights without anyone. And you might not be able to move away from the public. I really want to come together with you, because there is something wrong again. Not at all in Austria, not at all in Europe or not at all in international. Unfortunately, we do not need to look at Austria for the last time. We are looking at Berlin. We are looking at the other middle-state European Union. Or we are looking at the international situation that happens. We are looking at the big-scale, large-scale, and the most common states of America. And most of them have one common sense. Most of them have the most common sense of the white men. They are groups of people from the South. And they are looking to be a bit more stylish and to be able to hold on to the atmosphere. And the people are looking to be a bit more stylish and to be able to hold on to the atmosphere. They are looking to be a bit more stylish and to be able to hold on to the atmosphere. und ich glaube es muss uns irgendwie bewusst sein, greiften sie eine Person aus der Kommitier, dann greiften sie uns alle an. Und darum schreibe sie ja, dass ihr oder die Dose hat. Ob und zu machen wird das Politiker mittlerweile so ein bisschen unmächtig, wenn man sie dieses internationale Geschehen ausschaut. Und man hat auf uns ja den Eindruck, es kann ja nichts Schlimmer kommen. Und dann schockt sie dafür die Zeitung auf und du schaust ja irgendwie wo es auf Social Media und es wird widerschlimmer. Und ich schaue jetzt was sehr lapitales, ob uns auch lauchte die Leiter nicht ist in Besok. Aber die Kommitier in Österreich, Moot gesagt, sind ca. 10 Prozent. Und wenn man das umrechnet, dann würde ich das houesten, wie es dann mehr als was vor Ratatberg einbunderen hat. Mir sind mehr als was die Rolle einbunderen hat. Mehr als Salzburg, mehr als Kärntner, mehr als Skur mir ganz. Insgesamt über 900.000 Menschen. Und ich glaube, dass wir uns dieser Größe bewusst sein sollten. Nämlich auch mit Serbstbewusstsein. Wir sind nicht in eine Minderheit, die was für irgendeiner Herkämmer ist. Na, wir sind ganz, ganz viele. Und so make ich dir dieses positive Gefühl, zumindest mitgehen, dass wir uns dessen bewusst sind. Wir haben jetzt ganz gezielt auf die Türkei schauen und die Agnes Worte, das ich hab das meistens nicht so ganz genau mit so ein, aber wir haben das sehr genau angeschaut. In 15 Provinzen, über 160 Betroffene, über 150 Festnahmen, weit mehr als über 100 gesperrt der Accounts, mit einem Motiv. Und das ist irgendwie schon, ja, die auf der Sussorge, ich glaube, das ist perverse. Wenn man dann immer dieses Argument vorschärbt, es geht um den Schutz von Kindern. Es geht um den Schutz der Familienwerte. Es geht um Moral. Ich frage mir, wo die Moral eines Erdoganis ist. Ich frage mir, wo die Moral eines Trumpis, ich frage mir, wo die Moral eines Flalien mehr puttens ist oder einer Alice weiter in Zeit schon ist. Und es darum geht, wenn Sie auf der LGBT-AQ+-Kommunität drauf haben, weil da kommen Sie kann im Moral. Und ab und an der jetzt eine Frau dabei waren. Wir haben politische Einprobleme. Und es sind meistens weiß Männer. Und ich glaube, dass die LGBT-AQ+-Kommunität jene Community ist, was es jeden Tag, einfach das muss und jeden Tag dafür aufstellen muss. Und ansmuss uns auch bewusst sein. Und wir haben uns das jetzt ein bisschen angeschaut. Es geht immer um das Gleiche. Und das Gleiche muss da. Es geht immer um das Gleiche framing. Ganz egal, ob Sie uns und die Rechte von LGBT-AQ+-Kommunität sind. Ganz egal, ob es um Menschenrechte im Allgemeinen geht. Ganz egal, ob es um Rechte für Frauen geht. Man zum des Recht um den eigenen Körper Trumpfrauen geht. Sie bedienen immer das Gleiche muss da. Und man hat da nur ein bisschen genauer draufschott. Und ich glaube, der Summe hat so bewiesen. Ich glaube, es kann ja keiner mehr leugnen, dass wir mal Probleme mit dem Klima haben. Es wird immer wärm machen. Menschen sterben. Und wenn man da genau draufschott, auch hier bedienen sie das Gleiche muss da. Und ich glaube, das ist so ein bisschen der Zugang für uns als Community, dass man es rund zumindest auf eines irgendwie einigen. Und die wo ist, wir sind aus unterschiedlichen Parteien. Wir sind aus unterschiedlichen Organisationen. Aber endlich das große Ganze zu sehen. Wir können schon Parlamentarisch diskutieren. Das ist ja total wie wichtig. Ich würde es brauche aber gar nicht um dumm diskutieren. Aber das große Ganze und ich glaube, bezüglich nur sind, es ist ganz ganz einfach. Das soll gesteurer leben und leben lassen. Auf dies wär man sich doch hoffentlich nur einigen Kindern in Österreich, in Europa und international. Hoch die internationale Solidarität. Und das soll ganz ehrlich. Diese meisten alten Männer, sie sollen endlich in den Urschkeh. [Beifall] Danke sehr.
