NSW Punters Panel Tips the Epsom & All Other Races on a Group 1 Randwick Day

The transcript comes from a Racing HQ punters panel broadcast previewing TAB Epsom Day at Randwick, featuring Dave Stanley alongside Ron Dufficy, Richard Callender, and Joel Davies. The Epsom Handicap, first contested in 1865, is described as the ultimate test of the Australian miler, with historical highlights including Desert War's back-to-back wins in 2005 and Winx's dominant victory. The panel discusses the upcoming field, with Well Written the favourite at $4, Autumn Boy at $4.20, Attica at $6, and Mr Miller at $14. Rain is forecast for Randwick, and the panel debates how a wet track could reshape betting markets, with several panellists preparing separate form assessments for soft conditions. The launch of OnePool betting is a major talking point, with jackpots and incentives expected to drive significant turnover. The panel offers selections across the card, including the Flight Stakes, Metropolitan, and Premier Stakes, and builds a quaddie spanning races seven through ten, deliberately taking on favourites such as Well Written and Athelwulf. Discussion also covers Melbourne racing, including the Turnbull Stakes and Bart Cummings, where Sydney-trained horses feature prominently. The panellists share best bets, with Genesis Runner, Nonu, and Autumn Boy among the top selections.

Speaker 1The Epsom Handicap, first run in 1865, is one of the oldest and most prestigious Group Ones. The ultimate test of the Australian miler. And the red light is on for the TAB Epsom. Stand by for a break. And they're off and racing. Chey Wolf is going for his second win and could join multiple winners such as Superimpose and Desert War. Now the favourites coming, Chey Wolf, right down the outside.
Speaker 2Chey Wolf with the wind in his sails, draws away for a big win in the Epsom.
Speaker 1In his way will be the unbeaten Kiwi, Well Written. Already a two time Group One winner and is not here to make up the numbers.
Speaker 3Alabama lass, Well Written gets her at the 100 and she draws away. Well Written makes a seamless progression from Princess of the Turf to Queen of the Turf.
Speaker 1The dynamic duo, James McDonald and Chris Waller, will be hoping to win this time. Allowing Autumn Boy can add the Epsom to his already impressive resume.
Speaker 2But it's Autumn Boy clearing the Rose Hill Guineas. Ah, this is a win that will live forever for James McDonald. 130 Group One winners and what a performance.
Speaker 1The Spring Champion Stakes winner, Attica, will be relishing the lightweight and could pull off the ultimate spring ambush.
Speaker 2Shangbala Boy a length in front. Attica's going to make a last lunge. Attica, yes, got up, won the Spring Champion.
Speaker 1The Epsom on a roll is outstanding. Including Sky High, Gunson, Imposing and the mighty Winx.
Speaker 2Winx races up to hit the lead. She shot away in the Epsom. It's all over. Ecuador, sons of John, are seen for the miners at Bowman. High on the irons gives the big salute. She bolts in Winx. Now let's get into the punters panel.
Speaker 4She wins it by two and a half. Monstrous win on the O's. What a win. Did someone say winners? You'll find plenty to back on the punters. Back on the punters panel with Dave Stanley and the team. Whether it's a dark horse, a front runner or a good thing. They've got you covered on Racing HQ.
Speaker 5We most certainly do, Lozza, I hope. We've got a good panel as always. We've got Joel Davies, Ron Duppesy, Richard Callender. It is Tab Epsom Day, Group One Flight Stakes Day, Metropolitan Day, One Pool Day as well. We're going to build that quaddie later on. And we're going to maybe look at a few little exotics. If the boys have got any exotics they particularly like on the meeting, throw them out there. Because there's going to be a lot of incentive to be betting into one pool over the course of the weekend. And for that fact, moving forward. So we need to try and back a quid. We're going to look at all the different races tomorrow, as many as we can. Take your text messages on 0419 767 272. And Duff, we saw the track report and update come through from the ATC over the course. Of the last 24 hours. And I got the text this morning. So currently Randwick is a good four. Penno 5.25, Going Stick 9, Rail True. Last seven days, 4.8 mil of rain. There is some expected later today, tonight. But there's no juice in that track. So they're really expecting this rain to hit.
Speaker 6Yeah, and it's been toing and froing, that weather forecast. It was really bad three days ago yesterday. And then it was good. And then yesterday it was not good at all. Yesterday was not good again. But this morning, it's not too bad. Well, it's conflicting. If you're looking at BOM or YR, it's different. YR says, well, you know, probably only four mils. And most of the rain is coming after six o'clock tomorrow night now. So if that's the case, look, it's still weather watch. You know, rain on the day. You only need two mils to, you know, soften it up. But I'd say it's looking a lot better than what I thought.
Speaker 5Richard Callender, good morning to you. Big day, mate. It's going to be exciting to see how OnePool goes. I know you spoke to Gil yesterday.
Speaker 7Yeah, that's kind of the circles I hang in, Dave. No, look, it's going to be exciting, of course, this weekend, no doubt. And it's going to be the big part is when I did speak to Gil McLaughlin, the boss of the tab, he spoke that it's going to be energised and incentivised this weekend. So they're really going to start with a bang. But, yeah, look, if I ever die duff and I come back, I want to come back as a weather predictor. I love when they put up 50% chance of rain and 50% not of rain, you know. Yeah, and between one and 50. One and 50. And they've got $7,897,000,000 worth of equipment. They can't tell you if you're getting wet.
Speaker 5Joel Davies, hello to you, mate. What are you doing the form for? Are you doing. Have you got sort of two sets where you're looking at this current track and then you've gone the wet or you just don't have enough time? You've got to do it all for a rain affected?
Speaker 8I've done it. I've done it day. And good morning, gents, and morning, everyone. I've done it for a soft six, soft seven. I just think invariably when the rain comes on the day, Ram it can sort of fall apart a little bit. And those betting out there, if this rain does really come day, some of these markets will turn on their heads. So you've got to be really sharp and aware of what's going on. So I love Epsom weekend. It's still one of my favourite weekends of racing. Metrop, obviously, Flight Stakes, Turnbull Stakes, and we see the two-year-olds. And this is a belter of a meeting tomorrow. I think there's some really good value. I think there's some overbet favourites. So let's see if we can find a winner.
Speaker 5OK, well, we'll go on that order of entry. So we'll go Duff, Richie, and then Joel, you can round this out. And we'll start with the Tab Epsom where your favourite is well written at $4, holds most of the money in the race. And there was that move once Timmy Ryan went final field. So it did trip up. It was as low as $3.60 yesterday. So back at the $4. Autumn Boy at $4.20. Attica $6. Lady Shenandoah has been a firmer since final field at $12. Char Wolf at $14. And Mr Miller is getting backed. I saw some money around late yesterday afternoon for Mr Miller. Duff, what do you like on the Tab Epsom?
Speaker 6It's a great race as usual. And more so this filly from New Zealand has put a lot of sting into it. We find out how good she really is. So I am with Attica. I'm not faltering. I think he has been perfectly set up by Joe. He's had his two runs. It's always been a plan. Two runs. Trial blinkers. Here we are. 51.5 on his back. Good draw. Just needs a clean getaway closer to the midfield. And I think he's very, very hard to hold out. I think Autumn Boy is a massive danger obviously. He's probably a similar setup to Attica. Just everything's gone right for him. I think the best out in the market is -- well, I'm not saying out in the market. The best double figure chance is that horse you just mentioned, Mr Miller. Just totally forgive that run at Newcastle late in the day. Wind come up. Hard to make ground. Blunted at the start. And prior to that, he was the name on everyone's lips saying, well, he could be the big improver. So he fits in. And if we do get that little drizzle during the day, look out for the wolf. He's the best horse. And he had his toughen up run the other day. Obviously no blinkers. So it's not full steam ahead. But don't underestimate his talent. So they're the four for me. But I'm tipping Attica Richards. Yeah, Duff, I think it's
Speaker 7a great race for the simple fact that you can really pick and make a case for a dozen. And I think that's what makes a great race. Like, I don't want a back well ridden. I don't like the horse that are finished behind her. But as my old man always says, you can only beat what's in front of you. And she's beaten them every time they're fronted up. So I think with 55, she's harshly treated. But she's going to get a gun run. I told Stephen Marsh yesterday, you know, they didn't listen to me. I wanted to give you the visitor's draw. But they gave him a nice draw. I'm going to -- well, I'm not going to. I've already backed Mr. Miller. Sometimes you only get a chance in a big race to back the new kid on the block once before everyone wakes up. I got out the $17 yesterday on Pab. I don't want to -- I know what you're saying, Duff. That's the racing expression. Forget that last run at Newcastle. I want to remember it because I think it was outstanding. Two strides out of the gates. Down on his nose. Tommy then had a choice. After that happened, do I then push the button and still go for it? I think he made the right choice at that stage. It panned out. Fully lit at a nice time. And it scooted. I thought he was outstanding to get beat just on -- just over a length and a half. Good barrier. 50 kilos. I just think he's got to run. Well, no doubt the favorite -- well, the horse that I still think will start favorite, Autumn Boy, is obviously a great chance. And Attica. They're the two I'm -- I'm on Mr. Miller, but I think those two. And I think the big -- the other one, you can make a case for so many at big odds, but you can't tip them more. You only look like a dribbler. I'm on Mr. Miller. And I think Autumn Boy and Attica are the two big dangers.
Speaker 8Yep. Rich, I agree. The Autumn Boy I think will start favorite. In fact, as we speak, he's now equal favorite now as well. I think the -- yep. I think the software algorithm proponents will find him late. He's got the best ratings. He's drawn the inside gate. He gets in beautifully with 55 and a half. He loves the mile. And I'll tell you what. If we do get this rain and it becomes testing, he's won a Rose Hill again. He's over 2,000. He's got that in his arsenal too. I'm with the Waller Army behind him. If the rain does come, I think God's Window is a good chance. The Cletchy Boulevard will run far better than her odds suggest and militarize. I know I'll probably get shot down here, but he was incredible into Doncaster on a wet track. He only carries half a kilo more. He's got a lot more power than that run behind Autumn Boy and she's an alibi. He's 60 to 1. Autumn Boy is $4. If the rain does come, he will run well. But I don't know how that beat Autumn Boy. I think he's actually the best of the day.
Speaker 7Can I ask Joe one thing about Autumn Boy? It's the big stage. It's a big race. Are you worried about the jockey from barrier one?
Speaker 8He goes alright I think he just Outrode his claim Didn't he He's just a new boy On the scene Yeah no I made him I made him Yes No no you go
Speaker 5What was you making
Speaker 8Sorry I made him One said to me Yesterday He goes Oh gate one J-Mac I said did you watch Diameter last Sunday At Caulfield I said no one else Would have won on him Bar him I think it's overplayed I think he just Yeah thank god I think it's a gun battle Oh beautiful I think he just does no work Even if he sits in the first eight And just tracks something through They'll go fast here And there's a lot of speed Drawn out wide So He's just the best horse He's got the best ratings And you know And if it wasn't for She's alibi He'd be a five time Group one winner And he's probably not Even in this race So I think it's Like the four dollars
Speaker 5Question We're going to be taking Tomorrow You know Trifectas On one pool Hoping to jag a result So Just one number From all of you Duff What is the best Ruffy in the race And I'm talking You know 20, 30 dollars plus What's the best ruffy To throw in your exotic
Speaker 6If All depends There's a big difference Between wet and dry Like if it was dry I'd say fully lit Because he comes He takes racing To come right He ran well in this race Last year He's got no weight again And he comes off a win And he's got The Mr Miller form So I would say Other than the four I mentioned Plus obviously The New Zealand filly He He would be one If it was dry I'd say Will I throw him In a first four Or not So I'm I'm sort of I'm happy with What I've got actually Okay Richie Is there anything That down the
Speaker 7bottom You know We
Speaker 6just want to throw An extra number in
Speaker 7Stephen Marsh Said to me yesterday He wants to track George Street He wants it rock hard I agree with Joel I think if you're looking For two ruffies Militarise is 70 dollars And I think Declature Boulevard's 23 Both love the sting Out of the track And both will run Terrific One's obviously Drawn good One's drawn wide But I think They're massive odds To run in the First three or four
Speaker 5And you're the same Joel So that Declature Boulevard And militarise Is there anything else There's a bit of money Around God's window
Speaker 8Yep It's the other one I chucked in But just going back Rich Just Everyone thought Declature Boulevard Was a wet tracker And I was sort of In the similar boat But she blew them away On a very hard track Last start So she's now Ticked that box I think she's An outstanding ruff It's sort of 20-25 to one For sure Okay
Speaker 5Let's move to the Flight stakes It's race six On the card At Randwick Tomorrow Now odds here With the tab Only a small field But we've got Striking Alibi At 260 Clearly best backed Global goal At 310 Your second best Backed in Second favourite Then Bangkok Hottie At 320 And then you've got Double figures The rest This will be very Tactical Duff Won't it
Speaker 6It will It will It's I've got no argument With anyone here I think it's a Guessing game Because of the way The shape of the race This You know The three up the top I've switched their numbers Around six times I don't know how that works With mathematics But I have So I've ended up Landing on Striking Alibi I think she's got The best turn of speed And that's what I'm Working with here Hopefully I don't think There'll be Well she doesn't have to be Dragged back this week Anyway Don't worry about that Barrier two Mile It'll get her into A rhythm And if she settles I think she'll Sprint quickly So Bangkok Hottie Hard to knock She's won both lead ups Showing versatility And Global Goal Was always going to be My top pick here Other than It's a small field No speed And she hits flat spots So I'm a little bit nervous About the Kiwi Diamus But I'm I'm with Striking Alibi To beat Bangkok Hottie And Global Goal Richard I'm just
Speaker 7trying to work Out what I do Dave I've got I've got a A tree of paper In my drawer Of senior song tickets Do what I do With those ones Do I Oh mate
Speaker 5That's cruel That is cruel We would have been competitive
Speaker 7Competitive We'll put it this way I would have backed her To beat Striking Alibi And she's top pick Look I'd be I'd be surprised I'm tipping Striking Alibi For the simple fact I do agree with that Sometimes we forget about The horse that just keeps winning And that is Bangkok Hottie And I'll be honest I had an absolute peanut Not even enough to To cover your piece of bread But Timmy Ryan put up Thirty one dollars And it got to Thirty four dollars Diamus And I said to myself Self That's got to be big odds It's now thirteen dollars But Striking Alibi Top pick Yeah I
Speaker 8I haven't been with her all prep But I'm with Bangkok Hottie here For the simple fact She probably sits one two I don't think wet will be an issue If it does get wet She's by two darn heart They're very good wet trackers And she's just got everything In her arsenal Just to say that she Might just get all favours here Global goals are hardest to beat But if they do go slow here She might be able to She might just out sprint them I was keen to take on Striking Alibi Especially if this rain came And it was a testing mile I know she's flashed From the back of last two But she's been held up Hasn't done any work And as you know She's obviously finished off well But I think it's about Bangkok Hottie here If it does get very very very wet The horse Rich is talking about Diamus Let's go and have a look At that heavy ten win Over eight hundred metres At Otaki Wowee It was like she had flippers But the top weight for me Bangkok Hottie I think she's tough to beat
Speaker 5Now we go to the Metropolitan Race seven on the card A couple of text messages here So we know Matt Smith Is staying with Athol Wolf 225 and favourite Bit of money around here For two at odds Green Spaces has been popular Since markets have opened It's a loser in the book And the other one Soul of Spain Duff Nine dollars Well Soul
Speaker 6of Spain did run A heavily backed favourite In the lead up And knowing the pattern With the Waller team That was a semi-final This looks more of a grand final So that's just Your case to make for him But Look I might be wrong here But It's a must bet The Euphrates here for me I know the weight He's got weight In a staying race But I think that Kingston Town Was a much better race Than the Newcastle Cup I think he's got style He run very fast time And he was only second up I could easily mark him Favourite here And a solid favourite So I've got A bet Well I have bet I think he can win That's no knock on Athelwulf Because the margins He's been putting in them It's just that X factor But 225 I'd rather go the other way With the Euphrates And if there is a knockout here It's definitely for me Different form Deakin He's not a bad horse this And I think He gets a lovely little map Behind these couple of leaders And he may just have Last look at him With his staying prowess But very confident With Euphrates I thought One of the more confident Bits for me for the day Richard It was
Speaker 7interesting to see And no surprise So Kieran Mars Sent Biggie back And Mr Monaco To Melbourne And Dua Kibo Stays here So I think Dua Kibo Is a chance Look I know Matthew Smith Would have loved to have gone To the Bar Cummings In Melbourne With Athelwulf But I think Due to the And it's going to be A heavy, heavy track At Flemington So he decided to stay at home You can only beat What's in front of you But I've got to go Against the favourite At $2.00 $2.25 I'm just not convinced The Bella Montagna The Amplify The Ferno So you are Is The right form That I want to bag I just think that I think there's Four winning chances To me Which Or five Maybe the Euphrates Soul of Spain Green Spaces Dua Kibo And Pinhole So this might be The trifecta race For the big one Pool Dave So look I only went with The Soul of Spain On top of Euphrates Dua Kibo Green Spaces Pinhole I'm just against The favourite At $2.25 Maybe I'm a lunatic But I think it's Got to get over I think it's got to get The $3.00 plus Tomorrow So hard race Five chances And that's with The favourite out So good luck
Speaker 8Yeah I agree with Rich I think Arthur Wolfe Is under An interesting Matt Smith said After that Newcastle cut When they were Washing him down He broke out In a sweat A very, very bad sweat And he said He's never done that before So Just a little bit worried Maybe has the prep Come to an end But we will find out Tomorrow Rich Will Pinhole go around Or I heard the stable Possibly might keep him For next week Is that right?
Speaker 7Yeah he's a big chance I think Chris was Weighing up I heard Yeah I think it might have been Darren Beeman Was saying that It might have been Zane Jones actually Saying that Chris is just debating Whether Pinhole Weights a week But I think it's a Nice race So it's just An awkward gate But no wait It's going to be interesting To see who lines up But Pinhole lines up It's a chance
Speaker 8Yeah okay After all that I'm in green spaces I'd love to see some wet Some wet Wet weather come for him Last time he saw 2,400 metres At Rambican A soft 70 Blew him away in a derby I know it was against His own age But History does repeat The first Sort of Two runs back This prep He was just run off his feet Out sprinted In the wings In the Chelmsford The Kingston town A lot of them Just didn't get into the race Last start And he was one of them Second start Now this preparation With the blinkers I think he improves Out of sight I agree with Duffy Afraid he's hard to beat Wet form good Know he's got a lot of weight But this This field's starting to Fall away a bit For sure And if we do get A lot of rain The budgie smuggler Will come right Into this field I guarantee He'll run well They've been waiting For a wet track for him I think they're a bit dirty They didn't Nominate him for a Bart Cummings But he might might run well if we get it if we get it very wet but i like green spaces here i think It's a good price.
Speaker 7Richie? I was just thinking, I always love to look and see if I can guess what Tim Ryan is going to make the lay of the day. I just keep looking at Athelworth at $2.25. I look at Steel Blaze, who runs second in the Newcastle Cup at $126. Do you think this falls into Tim's category, boys, that this could be the one?
Speaker 6No, it's tab day, so it's one pool day. It'll be tempted.
Speaker 5You're going to be tempted? Oh, yeah. I think it'll be tab time or something.
Speaker 8Yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah.
Speaker 7Go to shorty, yeah.
Speaker 8Go to shorty.
Speaker 7Mate, you know what I'd love? I said to Tim Ryan, if he was fair dinkum and, you know, as strong as Tuck, I want to see him lay targeting rising on Everest over the lay of the day and make it the tab time and then get it out to evens or something.
Speaker 6He's been keen to lay well-written. It could be the lay of the day, but it mightn't be short enough.
Speaker 7No, it's. Yeah, it might be. It might end up being $6, $7 anyway.
Speaker 8We will take a break. Sorry, Dave. I reckon if he does lay carrying rising, there'll be no tab Christmas party. You can put a pin through that.
Speaker 5We'll return shortly. On the other side, we're going to look at the Premier Stakes, which will be a good precursor to seeing who is picked up for this Everest. I'm sure the tab are going to make their decision yesterday. That was the rumour mill, but I don't know if they're waiting an extra maybe to. get one pull out of the way. I'm not sure. It might be announced on Monday, but it'll be maybe teaming up with someone they've teamed up with before, but we'll find out in coming days. We'll take a break. Speaker 4On Sky Sports Radio on Radio Tab. Let's get back to finding a winner or two on the New South Wales Putters panel.
Speaker 9They race towards the 600 and Outback Prince serving it up to Loteria. A length away third Desert War. Water out as Flaming Hudson on the rails from Perfect Promise. Then Collate. A length missed a celebrity called upon from Cincinnati Gal. Consular and then a gap to Johan's Toy followed by Binding, Danny Martin and Ike's Dream. They're homeward bound on the Epsom and Loteria the leader. A half length or so on the outside Desert War. A length away third is Collate followed by Flaming and then comes Perfect Promise and missed a celebrity starting to unwind but Desert War hits the front from Loteria. Johan's Toy rattling down the outside. It's Desert War in front and Desert War makes it back to back Epsom handicaps. Desert War from either Johan's Toy or Loteria.
Speaker 5That was 21 years ago. 21 years ago, Putters. Wow. That was in 2005 and we had Desert War winning there for Gay Waterhouse and Larry Cassidy with 56 and a half. Some of those Epsom highlights and Metropolitan highlights.
Speaker 7Yes, mate. Just ask one of our people on the panel. He's really laughing because he knows the question, Johnny. Just ask him. Who was the manager of Larry Cassidy? They say that the sling was massive.
Speaker 5Was it a massive sling?
Speaker 6I got 10% of what he got. Maybe something a little extra.
Speaker 5I'll tell you what.
Speaker 7Gee, Larry is more generous than his brother.
Speaker 5When we play that audio, it's amazing, gents. When we play that audio and you hear the dulcet tones there of Ian Craig and when we played others over the course of the week, the punters, they just remember where they were. And keep them rolling in. 0419-767-272. Were you there the day that Desert War won that 2005 Epsom? We talk about the Premier Stakes. Tempted, we mentioned before. Could it be? Or could she be? The lay of the day for Tim Ryan. 155 she is. She holds the most amount of money on the card in terms of what's being held on her. Cabalas, $11. Headwall, $11. Ninja at $15. How do we play this stuff? How do we play it?
Speaker 6How do we play? I don't think we play it hard with the punt because she's too short, but she's top pick, clear top pick. She's the quality mare. Picks herself. This is a rehearsal for the Everest, so it's not a big grand final, but I still think they want to go on a winning way. If she finds a back to follow, she probably wins. Where do I want to look here for value? King's Secret. He's airborne, that horse. I think he's come back really well. Whether he can beat her is problematical, and I think if we do get that drop of rain, it really helps Headwall and Ninja. But look, I'm not going to do anything tricky here other than say Tempted is top pick, and King's Secret will run better than the price suggests.
Speaker 7I think you're right, Dove. I think Tempted's the right pick, but if they go to the effort of putting the races on the list, I can do at least have a bet. Tempted, top pick. Tempted, top pick. If the rain stays wet, even though Cabalas is out of a command's me, I still think he's better on a little bit firmer ground, so I'll be having something on Cabalas, and I just reckon you might see a different string to Cabalas' bow tomorrow. I reckon he might sit stalking the speed, and I've got to have something on Headwall. I know the other day I'm going to put a line through that. If the rain comes, I'm going to back Headwall. I know it makes it fractionally worse at the weights for that day. It was unlucky in the Concord. No argument. I mean, Tempted's the one to beat, but I've got to have something. Dry track Cabalas, wet track Headwall, and let's hope that Tempted finds trouble.
Speaker 8No, for me, she'll win. She's too good. I hear some people sort of comparing her to Bella Nepotina, who got beaten in this race a few years ago, but I think she's better than Bella, and she got beaten by Airman on that occasion. I know there's probably better horses in this event, but I'm keen to actually play Dave. I'm going to play like a first four here. I think the boys are around. I think she'll be winning, but I think two, three, four, and seven for second, third, and fourth. That might be the way to go. I don't think there's many hopes, but I think she'll be winning. Just looking at the $3.8 million.
Speaker 7Just looking at the prize money for Bella Nepotina, $22.7 million. $22.7 million. Yeah, Tempted, she's better than Bella Nepotina. I'll go with that. Good as gold.
Speaker 8I think she would be. Without a doubt.
Speaker 5$22.7 million. We go to race four at Randwick. Genesis Runner, very well backed. In fact, a very popular double, as you'd expect, with some sports shorties over the weekend, is Genesis Runner in the Tempted. So the $195 Duff, does that excite you? Or no, not at all? Is it just scary?
Speaker 6No, I took the $270. I've got a deduction for you now, and I'm disappointed with that. So I think. I think it's the bet of the day. He's got the best form, started favourite in the lead-up. I don't know how he got back that far. I think he'll be a lot closer with blinkers. And he'll win, he'll win. I think there's a good little roughy here. I don't know whether tomorrow's her day, but your colour. I spotted her first up at Rose Hill. She was a mile back. I love the way she surged through the line. I'm filthy I didn't have something on it at Newcastle at 25 to 1. But I think she has got something. I don't know what Chris is thinking, whether she's an Oaks type or something like that. But there's something about her. I think she's an improver over ground.
Speaker 7Hard to argue, Ronald. Look, I'm not trying to be clever. Shoemaker could have won the race, but you've got to. It happens as a punny, you've got deductions when horses you don't like. And the lease comes out as well of Kieran Mars. So, yeah, $1.95. still thinks good odds i think it's a duff best bet of the day and put that in telegraph i think it just wins i thought both runs have been outstanding uh this time back in handles wet or dry and i think the the value for the exotics and the the number players are hazumi and your color yep uh you can have um the chocolate factory man i know that he's occupying a lot of the money because james mcdonald's on willy wonka but i think the two best of chris's hazumi and your color
Speaker 6to tell you how much influence mcdonald has i wrote down the fixed odds with the all-in market on monday and tim went up three dollars fifty hazumi six philly uh 650 wonka and when the jockeys went on and not 350 it was 11 dollars he opened and uh wonka opened six dollars so that's the that's the power he has
Speaker 7if there's any rain if the rain does come early tomorrow hazumi's by street boss out of a long road man if it doesn't end all the going you know i'll go and have dinner with donald trump and fill in that he's a dribbler
Speaker 5race 10 benchmark 94 over the 1200 so figure wise here punters uh we've got the blade at 440 best car 550 surfs up at nine and now one of the best back runners each way on the card nepo baby nepo baby one nine or not one nine 9.5 not 1950 uh 9.5 but very well backed each way here in the last duff value better
Speaker 6the day nepo baby i feel that she took no part there first up dragging back from the wide drawer she's not she's a better philly than uh what her form reads on paper and i feel that she just takes up the box seat here and she's she's gonna run you a bottler um i think danger's a best go one is a big improver similar to nepo baby just he got caught off the track in a concord he's not he wasn't ready for that and yeah they're the three for me i think uh nepo baby best car and one arua and richard you won't be having a lunch with donald trump because he'll check your social media and you won't be allowed in the country
Speaker 7when i went to the superbowl in earlier this year i'm surprised you got in well i had to go back through my social media i took all the lights off i even wrote one tweet saying i love i love orange skin and white hair and people that have got dementia that are still the president of the country i even wrote that so but now i'm not going back to america until he's out of power so i've recommenced my liking parade uh of the donald but everyone still likes donald i'm enjoying paying the 2.80 because of the war yeah for petrol anyway we're not getting into politics ronald next year they'll be talking about you know the consumers that my coffee went up 25 30 cents this morning because don't worry we're not getting into politics i'm not getting into politics duff i think it's a very hard race i'll go with you but i've had a peanut on el pasero right down the bottom and memophones second up drawn the car park needs a lot of luck but jeez i've always had a nice rap and i just reckon at 34 he'll be going in everything i've got at massive odds senior
Speaker 8toy tony here number three uh wide gate no problem second up flies wet or dry no problem should have finished much closer in the concord was coming with beadman at the same time and he got chopped out would have finished a hell of a lot closer comes back in great here i know it's a tough race but i can see him going very fast up front him just sucking up midfield and come to the outside and go and crash i agree rich for sure down the bottom i've had something on el pasero too um steve you wonder could have seen this run last start it was very very good late and i think surf's up i know it's only the one trial but she might be the one to take out of this race but i'm uh three to beat 19. and
Speaker 5you're you're a fan of genesis runner too aren't you joel yeah
Speaker 8i'll tell you what i'm a fan of dave if if will or richard we've got a spot in the box next to genesis runner for me over there to start things off before i go to the races tomorrow i mean i don't know if anyone knows what the uh dave you might want to explain it but that will i'll be over soon you can charge me full training i don't mind but uh maybe i can get the same treatment as the old fellow there jeez
Speaker 5genesis runner that wasn't on me last time i was wasn't on me bingo card this morning uh at all joel the quality i want to build shortly because we're uh getting close to 10 o'clock instead of individually looking at these two-year-old races just out of both races duff what do you think the bet is looking at the two races going okay well this is the the one runner i really want to have a crack at tomorrow or i'm most excited about
Speaker 6well the two i'm most excited about both scratch fiji and everlasting grace so those are the two i was most excited about look i love betting in these early two-year-old races but be very careful uh all the time nerds and putting all the figures in their computers the first half of these trials the early ones run slow time second half of the day there was a massive win behind them so it's very misleading and hard to line up so one i look i look i like nonu and i like i think she's supreme has got a beautiful barrier in barrier one in this race so i'm going to be very careful about that and i'm going to be very careful one in the phillies yeah
Speaker 7i i i agree with that look i i i was going to back fiji nonu and capitano now with uh like work around those three fiji's come out so yeah i think nonu with even money is the one to be but even money first starter wow short odds isn't it but i just love it he just looked like you know looked like ronnie a little bulldog ready to rock and roll early so i'll go with my nonu in the uh in the boys edition
Speaker 8yeah they're very short here and um the market's only got really three chances i thought capitano was good chasing rather than sort of leading in that um in that trial nonu was good and yeah flying houdini will do its thing but it's a race i'm probably just going to let through to the keeper boys and i'll leave it up
Speaker 5to you okay let's go uh best bets on the car i'll add these to bets friends right now so ron dover see what is your best bet on tab
Speaker 6epsom day genesis runner uh race four you know it's short enough now but race four number one's the best
Speaker 5for me race four number one it is added richie your best bet on the car there's
Speaker 7always the advantage of going first ronald isn't it i had the tips in wednesday night don't worry wednesday night obviously working late i had my telegraph stuff in at three o'clock wednesday afternoon but anyway let's uh you do the fourth week yeah i for one race i have to uh i'll do manu nonu
Speaker 5okay so we go to race two number eight joel your best bet on the card uh the
Speaker 8epsom for me dave race eight number three autumn boy i think anything above four dollars is excellent value he's the best horse and he'll be
Speaker 5winning okay so if we have uh in race order race two number eight nonu winning race four number one genesis runner winning and then we roll it into autumn boy race eight number three you're having a a treble there it's 1560 if they all win if they all just run a place you're looking at two dollars thirty eight i'll add that to the bets friend section of the tab app now more importantly more importantly our quaddie tomorrow so this is going to be a very popular quaddie there's going to be some things the tab will throw at the quaddie which will be revealed in the next 24 hours in regards to how much money you can win with this quaddie so duff as team captain what numbers are we throwing in the first league which is the asahi super dry metropolitan asahi would be nice today i reckon in the sunshine
Speaker 6uh look i think there's a hundred thousand jackpot as well into that quaddie like looking at their app but uh i say one and three you're afraid he's and deacon
Speaker 5okay one in three deacon for stokes and and mcavoy who comes up here 56 and a half right what are we putting in richie we've already got numbers one
Speaker 7and three if you got one in three i'll
Speaker 5put two four five two four and five so green spaces sold to spain and juja kibo right joel no
Speaker 8all good dave i'm happy with him so
Speaker 5we're we're not having athelwolf in our quaddie at all well that's our cream yeah that's our cream
Speaker 6if he if he if he gets beat we're we're alive for a
Speaker 5dividend okay all right we go to race number eight duff what are we putting in the tab epsom uh
Speaker 68 3 19 8 3 19 richie 8 3 and i'm just
Speaker 5look i'm just
Speaker 7david david david 8 3 19 so we we want to we want to be partying so i'll add some here for joel and i then joel can add if he wants to later so i would throw in 7 16
Speaker 517 7 16 and
Speaker 717
Speaker 5so that is davichi boulevard militarize and god's window which are all big odds joel our numbers currently in this tab epsom we've got 3 7 8 16 17 and 19 not
Speaker 8perfect for me the only others i would add over the three that rich had it for us so
Speaker 5not all good okay so we uh so another one there'll be partners if you want to change these numbers you can too when you add them to your betch lift but in another example we're taking on well the boy's taking on well written here so well written not in quaddie we go to race number nine the premier now what do we do in this situation do you one out or do you have a look at maybe is it a blowout somewhere no well
Speaker 6i i think the main quality we you know we're going to go long in the last i know we're going to go long in the last as well so i'm personally i'm gonna have tempted one out and i might fiddle with a little 10 play after that with something a few others but not at this stage i say tempted
Speaker 5okay so tempted for duff what do you want to do here richie do you want to throw something else insurance two and three okay joel no just tempted
Speaker 8i agree with duff okay
Speaker 5so two three and ten we've got there in our quaddie for racing our group quaddie and then race 10 the tab one pool handicap 1200 benchmark 94 duff your
Speaker 6numbers here 14 four
Speaker 5and two 14 four and two okay and the two of course is for brett cavanaugh will stanley riding as well waruna right oh what are we doing richie are you could you be tempted to throw the three in signore to tony do you reckon they won't start from 18 do you reckon it'll be scratch
Speaker 7joel's gonna put it in a second he's gonna he's gonna put that in so
Speaker 5i'll put in 18 19 20 20 18 and the 19 for richard lit and you want to
Speaker 7put in every leg oh if
Speaker 5and you want to put in the three
Speaker 8yeah and if the rain yeah i'll put in the three dave and if this rain you know i want to put in beskar as well just in case this rain doesn't come because he's probably the best horse in this field yeah beskar's got the four in
Speaker 5apologies well
Speaker 8that's it three for me all
Speaker 5right so these are our these are our full set of numbers punters you can alter these if you do wish or you can follow the gents and throw it in your combination so first leg of the quaddie tomorrow on one pool race seven one two three four five one two three four five that is race seven and that of course is the metropolitan so the metropolitan is your first leg of the quaddie tomorrow if you're playing at royal ramwick we then go to race number eight on the card the tab epsom numbers from the gents are three seven eight sixteen seventeen and nineteen so that's the eighth second leg of the quaddie in race nine which is the premiere the sprint we go two three and ten two three and ten and we come home in race ten which is the benchmark ninety four the numbers of two three four fourteen eighteen nineteen and twenty combination there are six hundred and thirty so if you're going with the uh the lads tomorrow down to uh the chloe or everywhere on track if you're looking at you put that on for 200 bucks as a flexi you're looking at 31.74 but you can change those numbers so i'll put them in bets friends you'll be able to get
Speaker 7it if we get more numbers etc yeah
Speaker 5well if it does if the roughies do get up there and yet you have taken on a few favorites as well so that'll be interesting to see there are of course jackpots which are going to be in play and other incentives to be playing the quaddie tomorrow with one pool right across the country so that is very exciting indeed now duff you'll have a big morning on racing hq with luke marler any indication of who you've got on tomorrow
Speaker 6morning at all uh we're chasing um joe pride uh steve marsh um uh johan from mars yep um come on crack yeah mitchell connors no what's
Speaker 7what's joe's name
Speaker 6hey johan who's from care mars yeah did johan yeah aussie joe aussie joe and hopefully chris waller as well because he's pretty strong isn't he
Speaker 5yep very very much so uh boys richie do you have an opinion while i've got you on the tab turnbull it's a great race some sydney flavor is down there
Speaker 7he's only um i've got my sheet here what do i do if i was going to have a very heavy track and i just think the two you want to back and just the the top two clips sedilius and alyana and the others are going around to enjoy the atmosphere and see what happens i i think cosmic crusader will get out the gate and i think the the two favorites will just clear out alyana and sedilius and i'm in sedilius's corner just from alyana but like kissing your sister there's nothing
Speaker 5in it what about uh in regards to joel a horse that you mentioned many moons ago down in melbourne and it races in the uh the bart cummings uh which is race seven and you win this race you get into uh the melbourne cup wooten bernie has been twelve dollars to 650 uh and this is a a horse you said way way back you said follow this bloke for a melbourne cup
Speaker 8well a caulfield cup dave is where i backed him i'm just yeah i'm sort of hoping he doesn't win on saturday and they change their mind but um he's going to get a wet track for the first time i think this preparation is going to be a good one i think it's going to be a good one i think it's going to be a good one is athelwolf come out of that market yet dave is that including the deduction or
Speaker 5not yeah no no he has he has come out so yeah that you're looking at 21 cents the wind 14 cents the
Speaker 8place yeah he was good last start dave you went back to the inside at caulfield there he came through and just blew out late um wet track it's not an overly strong bark cummings i expect him to run it very very well and i think half yours is the forgotten horse in the turnbull i think sedilius hardest to beat but i think at 15 or 16 dollars you can probably play him each way too
Speaker 5anything that you've heard along the grapevine for melbourne duff because uh we get to see some good sydney horses going and i'm keen to see how this next episode goes he's the one of all the three-year-olds that's been you know wait been waiting waiting waiting so yeah he's 390 he's been
Speaker 6a little inconclusive at the trials but we know he's got that talent so i agree with joel i love i love eliana but i reckon we keep forgetting we had half yours down just as a wet tracker early on and he loves it so he'll be fine i think he'll be fine i think he'll be fine i think he'll be fine he'll run better have
Speaker 5a great day gentlemen back plenty of winners enjoy all the punting at uh at sydney and elsewhere around the country and we'll catch you next week see you guys thanks
Speaker 8dave see you guys
