143m 45s
The podcast episode opens with casual banter among the hosts about weather, personal vehicles like a vintage Chevy truck, and off-season preparations for tractor pulling. The conversation then shifts to the significant success of promoting tractor pulling at the NHRA Gatornationals drag racing event. The hosts describe how displaying pulling vehicles attracted thousands of curious fans, effectively introducing them to the sport and generating interest in nearby events. They share an anecdote about a past incident at the U.S. Nationals where a tractor was showcased late at night, drawing attention from drag racing fans and leading to logistical changes. The hosts advocate for more crossover promotions with other motorsports to grow pulling's audience. Finally, they reveal that connections made at the Gatornationals led to an arrangement for YouTube personality Cleetus McFarland to drive a pulling vehicle at an upcoming event, highlighting the potential of such collaborations for expanding the sport's reach.
[Music] [Music] Welcome to the No Practice Podcast where we cover the only sport in the world where there is no practice with your mini-rod driving host Adam Kester, Tyler Slaw and Chase Richardson. Strap in for some debates on the world of polling, exclusive special guests and a whole lot of nonsense BS. The No Practice Podcast starts now now. [Music] Ladies and gentlemen, welcome in to the No Practice Podcast episode number 58 and as always joined by none other than Mr. Adam Kester. Mr. Chase Richardson Chase with arguably one of his more professional backdrops as he is coming to us live from Florida, I believe, from the full pull live trailer we'll call it. Adam and I have spent some time in there as well. We've had some good times. Chase, does that studio drink here or are you finding out? You know what's funny about all this is that I'm the only one out here competing out of us three in the Mere-rod class. Now the only one drinking beer, you two lose a weight, drinking water. The worlds have turned but it's good to be out in the road. It is a little chilly actually. We had a bunch of rain here Sunday and Monday and it's gotten down like 40 degrees this evening so everyone's in their hoodies but it's going to be super nice and sat-soom in this weekend around 70 degrees, perfect, perfect weather and where I'm from the weather has been shitty. Adam, you've had some bad weather that way too. I think right with the winds and so forth. Yeah, we got a fear mongering going on here a couple days ago, 70-monar winds and all this stuff ended up being just a little hard rain but we lost a drink bin I was told. Yeah, well apparently when the winds got to the east of us apparently got worse but the you know being 80 degrees one day and then the next day it's 30 and then we're working our way back up to you know warmer temperatures but for the next round of storms. I think the people in the north I got I got some phone calls from some people up north that they were expecting like 24 or 36 inches. This is snow. Like a wizard shit right? Yeah, yeah, I don't know Tyler. Did you get any of that stuff? Honestly, they were talking like we were going to get some snow. I even had Marty Wilson text my dad nine. He's like you guys be safe up there you know and I'm like what do you mean? What's what's happening? He's like the weather I've heard it's going to get bad and I mean we got just a couple inches so I mean nothing more than what chase is used to dealing out on a Friday night it's it's really not too bad out there. Yeah, when the when the guys in west constant say we got enough snow we're not working tomorrow that's usually about a foot and a half before or two feet before they like hey we're closing some stuff that they're they're way more ready for this I guess then. Yeah, I get a photo snow around here we're done for a week you know I have never missed a day of work because of too much snow. I got it. I did have it once this winter where taking the taking a turn just off my road I had to put my old truck in reverse and go back to forward probably about 30 times. It was snow back. What's your everyday rubber tower for those that don't call you. Oh it's a it's a 1979 Chevy pickup that I bought from Dusty price for $150 that was sitting in a barn for 25 years that I got running still the original motor transmission axles. I never. Exactly. Oh yeah it's got heat for sure but what's that you'd see. No not heated seats as a matter of fact it has cooled seats because there's a lot of rust holes in the floor and so even though it has decent heat in the colder weather it doesn't hold heat very well but I recently took a couple of welcome mats from our house and I put them on the floor to cover the majority of the rust holes so that does help hold in some of the heat and you don't panic if you drop your phone while driving because it blocks all the holes you don't lose your phone through the floor of the vehicle. Yeah you just you hammer the pickup truck under a verse and forward about 30 times that snow coming up over the hood but we made it to work and yeah it's good to go. Dedication dedication yeah all American got so we'll sit while we were pulling last weekend what have you guys been doing the last couple weeks. Actually I think the week before no I guess it was this weekend I finally got two of the tractors torn down I have to do the the mid American truck show with the blue tractor. I haven't touched it yet but I did get them apart kind of the engines in them now. Yeah man I got a day and a half Jamie was a in Tennessee and I got a day and a half to get that done so I put just full demand of folds and blowers and injector hats off and we pluck the engines out and kind of wipe down the chassis and check some stuff out there and. I got a month I'll be able to get the engines rebuilt maybe I got to ask this because like I'm very guilty of it like especially when I used to coach and can participate in pulling but like when you see people out there at the track you know I know it's always a way competing like it gets your juices going to do a little more than you probably would do on a ordinary other Saturday right. I mean dude there like I ain't lying I've gotten the group of watching the you know I obviously watched and all the stuff but like this time of year you start war normally right you start warming yourself back up watching some old pulling videos maybe seeing. Just kind of get the juices flowing a little bit and I'm not gonna lie when when that's the first time in a long time that I wasn't at a grand national pool to pool so obviously I'm like have to do something that kind of relates you know. So you have major FOMO for your missing out FOMO FOMO major FOMO weekend just like I have FOMO when you guys are pulling when I'm not there right right. Yeah I too was what was watching and it kind of gets you excited to do it my dad was out in Arizona last weekend or this past weekend I should say he didn't drive his sand dragster but he went out there with a couple of his neighborhood buddies and one of his neighborhood buddies drove it so. He was excited to get out there and do that but you know even he said it kind of gets him jazzed up for pulling and I was kind of teasing him like why didn't you get the seat of that thing and he said I didn't want to get the seat of it because I don't want to get hurt because I couldn't stand last season not driving my pulling tractor and pulling is my priority I'm not going to chance it I'm going to be pulling the season. What are they running 300 feet right just like a pulling track and you're running what yeah 190 mile an hour. No no I think they're one of their best passes they covered 300 feet in like 2.8 seconds at like 125 miles an hour. Oh yeah okay yeah that's right that's what it is. I saw some other videos too after I happened to scroll across the you know Bruce's snapchats. It's like it it linked up the satellites and I started getting videos funny it's funny. The same place yeah yeah yeah so yeah so I know we were we were pulled last weekend but I cannot not talk about the weekend before that a gator nationals what that experience is like you know we've all been a drag racing I think we're all drag racing fans a lot of pulling fans like crossover there but we had an opportunity to. You know the gator nationals kicks off the day. I season and from what I guess learned together now that's part of the second biggest weekend outside of us nationals in terms of just fan involvement and height and. With the these four events taking place sad sum of where we're sitting tonight's only I think give or take like 45 miles from the Gainesville strip. Zellwoods a little further but in a chariot was kind of to give us a really prompt spot there on the midway for three days Friday Saturday Sunday and man like I was telling people this all last weekend Zellwood and I know it seems like a long time ago.
But of all the things that myself or we've done to spread awareness of pulling, I think this is by far the way the best money ever spent, the best effort ever given. There's 25,000 people at that event guys and we touched thousands of people in that booth. There was for this working myself included and it was bonkers like in a good way that people leaving the grandstands and like the first thing like we had a good setup they walk out like what the hell are those things and it was a madhouse of people and like the part that was so cool to me is you know we're in Florida and these people don't know they like 90% people of it didn't know what the hell they were looking at and then yeah so from there you know you needed people there to talk to talk to them through it well this is a sport you know these are two pro mod engines or you know similar to a top alcohol engine and you know we pull we don't race and like I could have used a lot of people there we could have used a lot of people there but it was probably one of the coolest experiences ever for promoting sport of pulling and you know I'll just say this pulling is not a hard sell when you get in the right crowd guys and you know I'm not taking away from our vehicles or mini rod or anything but there's a lot more cooler should they could have been there than that right and it's it's I tell you what Jason I guess what I can test to this is like I do a lot of displays where I have to explain hundreds of times a day what things are how it works and stuff I guess you got a little bit of taste of that but it's a whole lot easier when they're at an event that's got similar things to it when you're when you're trying to explain this stuff to guys that don't necessarily know it's a you probably get asked what the same question 250 350 times well I'm like like I told Tyler this before he came on at him everyone always like everyone's passionate as we know in our community everyone's passionate there are fans and everyone's always talking about how do you like make like build the audience or get more people involved in it like it's right this is like the platform so you're at a place where a lot of people that are similar minded they walk out of the grandstands they say what the hell is that thing so they walk up to it well this is a pulling tractor this is a light modest and me rather this is a diesel fuel drive oh by the way you can watch it next week after down the road here oh well that's a hill when I did and then they like I'm not saying that we had a big crowd and we had really big crowds in zelwist especially Saturday night but I'm not saying it was all because it gains bill but that was we gave away these coupons for $5 discounts guys and I think we I think the total was like 800 plus for the weekend between both places of people that showed up with those things that they make but the concept of all right what is that oh work and I go see it it was just a perfect alignment for us to promote pulling and I don't know I encourage every fan or every person out there to look at a schedule of NHRA or even a NASCAR or a big of motor sports event that's tied to a nearby tractor pulling event and talk those promoters or talk to competitors like we got to get on that because people like what they see and I saw a comment from Doug he works with full pull there it's actually it's a little bit like like what this shitting that I got it's really cool I don't want to sound like I'm a dickhead but it's it's not that cool to us but like when we're going through it's a midway back to the pits and every you know how busy these pits are with these with these fuel cars and shit it's like if these fuel cars what's this thing it was like the parting of the season like everyone's looking at us so I really cool I can't emphasize enough anyone out there we need to do more of this hey what chase didn't we try that a couple of years ago at the yes Nassals without a bow or roll that tractor out that got some attention didn't it that was never before we knew that I knew I knew too long he didn't like it yeah we should tell that this is a good moment on here this is uh when was that probably 2019 oh probably somewhere in there yeah this is a good moment so Adam I think we've talked about this but the US nationals there's always a lot of pullers that attend that event because it's kind of the tail end of the season and people are you know it's labor always labor day weekend extra day and for how many years I know since you've had air and you haven't been able to go but there's been an abundance of pullers there but what's I was just I was just a onlooker you can tell what you and Adam bowered it well it's not me I wasn't I was just I was there um so Adam so we run at Wasiano Ohio you know that weekend and it's only a Friday night pool so Friday night usually after the pool is over we all load up and there's a there's a proof you know five or six rigs that will run down there together and and you guys and Peter Sins and Jerry Thompson went you know um Mark Mangin Nelson's are always there whatever Adam Bowers shows up with they had to run in Canfield on Saturday so he's not able to get there to like Sunday well Sunday nights like eliminations are Monday so Sunday night they roll in or whatever we're all hooping and hollering having the good time parked outside the track and I think they brought some drag routes well we got gasp for Ellie over there one of the drag races on our you know runs our engines and stuff he came over there and I think Darren Mayor was you know he was over there and we were just joking around about the ship they rolled the tractor out about midnight now take for take this in as take it as you may the night before in Canfield Adam Bower got to the end of the track and when he backed out of the throttle it lit all the blow by and stuff on fire on the tractor like the tractor was burning um they got it put out whatever so when they rolled the tractor I says what didn't that thing just on fire last night yeah uh I said it you think everything's already said all the fuel hoses look good fired it up they got all five engines running Darren Mayor's in the seat and I like jack the throttle you know except there's all kinds of people coming out of everywhere and uh like I said it's late and these are saying we're all hooping to hollering having a good time find out the next day that probably wasn't the greatest idea to do um this is a full circle story now because tell me if I'm wrong Adam your dad and mom Ned who's now obviously involved with the intp 8000 yeah who we kind of started yeah you're like like Ned started that for you all and then everyone else started following about sure and tag team yeah no we did we used to park on the inside of the uh Indianapolis race track that's right next to the drag strip um yeah and uh we used to park there and it was easy for my dad it was all paved so we can get to the pits it's pretty close to the pits yeah and uh so yeah we started doing that a couple years we went and then like one year it comes somebody else and then we got moved to the outside of the racetrack after a couple years and still really close to it and then more vehicles kept showing up I remember your mom coming out and she said Ned call me you fuckers are you doing that shit again like which one of you did like she was dog cuz she was dog me was just said needless to say that year where we were parked the next year we didn't get to park that close we got moved out and it's earlier it's imagine that yeah but the other funny part about all that is that when all those drag racers are leaving the track and it's probably about midnight cuz race drag racing gets done earlier um all of us pullers are sent up there drinking a lot of adult beverages all day so like our uh focus level is not theirs and they're oh yeah come on start this tractor and these guys are walking up there like not had a drink of drop uh and sitting there and just whoa yeah so that happened and then it was told like okay Chase has got a golf cart you can get it out but the tractor goes back in the trailer immediately because they're magnets man I mean these people they've never seen it before they just glued you know they're glued to yeah kind of wonder why they put some of your roles on us yeah yeah yeah so that's uh all that being said crossover motor sports is a real thing I think all promoters or people and pulling should try to figure out a way to do even if it's like a dirt model late a late dirt model late model dirt race man we uh we got odd candy in this sport man like seriously like when we yeah we've got we walk in the bar everybody looks at us we've got we've got you Chase you're our i-candy well no I I think what some people say like when they look at this they always look at my tractor's like is this just a replica or something like no this is the one we race it's like dang you guys kind of keep it clean like yeah you got you got a half half to but like I think have to have you seen ours well I'm just saying from a side of things like people look at it and they're like they spend a lot of time like uh obviously like Ross's tractor and stuff you know everything underneath the hood or
Rob Russell's or you know all these guys with these pro stocks out beautiful are like I think that's what they don't understand is like it's a supreme race vehicle But it's actually like a showpiece too, you know, yeah We definitely choose uh performance over appearance you guys saw my fenders last year those did not look pretty But uh they had a technical functioning reason and that takes priority in our camp so You fans and people out there please uh Far away and look around at the big motorsports events to do some crossover opportunities. That's my challenge to everyone for now it's an experience so Well, do you want to talk about like what stemmed from uh from the people you spoke with there and and go from there? Uh, yeah, so We have a pretty big deal going on this weekend um clearest McFarland The youtube influencer sensation is Going to be driving a point vehicle this Friday here at Satsuma At Grand National vent the um this whole thing came together pretty fast and You know i Kudos to a lot of people out there Like pulling people is like we gotta get clearest McFarland of these tell our thing you said it. I've you know I've told him this but like I really don't keep up with I didn't really know who he was too much I mean obviously I've reached there come on you gotta know we know Chances plan koay right now don't let him go The past week the past couple weeks but Yeah, so we at uh getternationals We were there I guess Thursday night and um You know clearest Garrett. I mean, I've been calling Garrett. I don't call him clearest, but Garrett owns a portion of motion race works them. Sure everyone obviously knows and uh With CFH blowers and that we've been we're working on some stuff that motions doing with this with our superchargers and The owner of the CEO owner of motion Doug cook We were out all good things happen at a bar people always remember that so we were at a bar or Thursday night and just You know talking shit and this is another example, you know Doug's like infatuated He's a he's a drag race for influencer himself and is in the own drain in the drag race of world and like just can't get enough info about our poem vehicles and You know, we have four different vehicles we run and Show them a vehicle of our light mod that we're gonna have there on display like pull up a video from let go Be was the last year and he's looking and he's like dude Garrett Would be all over driving this and I and we're said who he said please like Garrett Mitchell and I'm like, okay cool Tell him we'll be here the next couple weeks and uh If you want to show up to event you can show up the drive and That was a few old-fashioned's in and sitting around having to get time. Well the next day At gator nationals Doug came by that because he was just there on Friday. He's like are you serious about You know Garrett and this thing because he'd be all over this I'm like. Oh yeah, whatever Two hours later I was in a group chat with Doug and um Clees McFarlane McFarlane/Garratt what even gonna call him and he um, you know the part that's been crazy is The infatuation this guy has with this poem vehicle, you know, I'm a bit nervous from our standpoint because I'm like dude We have to this guy's so am to do this and his attention to detail with everything in the two weeks or we can have a Doing this like I hope this doesn't go bad because this dude is Fuck like he's all in on this so And literally this whole thing happened at gator national sitting at a bar and um Yeah That's by by saturday afternoon at Gainesville he was Working out if he was gonna fly his helicopter or playing in the sat sum and There's another racing event. I think people documented it that's going on in Texas Saturday. He's flying in To sat summa to pull friday then hopping in with his crew and going to Texas, but That's it's the stories as simple as that and it's Really a dream come true for pulling for all of us to be a part of this the only thing that can go wrong is if Myself or you demotors works fucks this up for the guy so all pressures on us because uh This this guy's all he's uh he's very into it and I don't it's pretty remarkable to be honest, so how high will the front end yet? Well, you know the uh dirt and Zellwood is not the same dirt here like there's more clay here and and We're gonna talk about the the zellwood event It was a good track, but it was you know, it's sand as we've talked about before in the show So to answer your question. I don't we don't need it to get too high at them, but um You can't keep them things on the ground, right? Yeah, you better not be given cleat no plus tune up there chase You got to give that thing the full sun well then he uh when I was at going through this I'm like well, maybe he'll just want to come do an exhibition pass then the show And like he as he was getting educated on pulling he's like No, hell no brother. I want a freaking go. I want to go for it all. I'm like Brother we're gonna bring all the bald Eagles. We're gonna keep peak brother. He was watching the the show last weekend At zellwood when we won like like I'll get to the story we didn't pull Friday we won Saturday He's like, oh yeah brother. I'm gonna freaking stand on that bitch next Friday Like uh he's into it man, and I was telling you guys before the part that's been so cool for me and again I being honest I knew he was by very educated myself the last you know a few days of hell big and awesome this guy is for you know niche motor sports especially like he is a student Of what he's doing and what I mean by that like this guy's not just Rolled in here and gonna hop in a big ol. I've texted this guy every single day Questions can you send me videos what happens in this scenario when we were going on air here. He texted me asking about Hans devices You know can we change his helmet? He sent me a picture of his helmet work because we don't have a Hans device and our tractor like this guy's in it and You know as you he's so good in whatever he gets him because you can tell he's a student to it all and I If we do our part, I think the guy's gonna be successful and to say he's ant about it like he's um He's asked like we're or we're all we go what he's asked about the other vehicles I've tried to just keep it really laser focused on this event this vehicle um, but he's gonna be here He's gonna be for drivers meeting drivers introductions. He's gonna warm it up and like it's it's it's a real thing So so just I see this from the videos and stuff obviously it puts a different perspective on whatever but like I heard some people say oh mini rod. It's like this guy is like six five at me. I mean he's really tall So that was the first thing he would he but uh I sent him some video clips. He's like can a tall guy drive this so I'm like well Garrett my dad and our I'm my dad's six three. I'm six four. I promise like perfect brother He always says brother. Yeah, but he can't he can't he can't get in the mini rod though. So if he likes this a lot It doesn't sound like he's building a mini rod right? I don't know. I mean I just I think he's um I don't know. We'll see how it goes. He's I've heard a lot of people say that he's built like tractor pulling is his Demograph against his like people Uh, for sure a lot a lot of things say that but I I can fill it from him just Going back and forth like If we do our part, I think this guy with this won't be the last time we see him in a vehicle He just got a contract from RCR For like some races, right and and and NASCAR and he's under a lot of scrutiny over that like this guy Like obviously he can wheel some stuff. He's driven about everything Boats drag cars Trucks, I mean just watching some of those videos. You get in the loop sometime with it It's kind of funny what this guy's done. I mean it's he's an all-American Racer, I guess you would say anything has to be racing. He's in Yeah, for sure. I mean he's got he's got over two billion views total on YouTube He's got over four and a half million subscribers So uh if anybody wants to sit there and act like this isn't anything but a fantastic thing for the sport. They're just foolish It's gonna be exciting. I'm looking forward to it. I'm sad. I'm not gonna be there But you bet your ass. I'll be watching for sure. He's seven took Out of the eleven that are coming um and Be second class so I think a big part for him is gonna be just watching some others do it because he seems to be a visual guy All the videos and shit off syndrome. I'm act like I know the guy. I really don't know. I've just texted them if he's like for a week or so, but You know, that's all it's it's pretty cool the part that I'm uh very interested in and I almost want to do a segment on this show and You know the other part like I The dude was offered exhibition. He's like no if y'all don't practice. I'm not practicing. I'm freaking getting it No practice brother
Oh, he's like, I'm not doing any of that. But I think we need to go through an exercise right now with us three, and our fans can engage. Because literally, everyone's going to be watching this. Like, what are the-- what's the punch list of items you go through with someone? Like, all right, here's this tractor. Let's start here. Like, what do you-- what things do you need to know when driving this vehicle? So I'm going to have this list. I'm going to print it off, and I'm going to hold it by my side. That way, if something goes bad, I'm going to blame it on this podcast, right? But add up, what is the first thing you tell a guy when you're driving a full vehicle, especially-- so like, not all full vehicles will say I like mod. It's not like a mini rod, but it's probably the closest thing I've driven to a mini rod. So imagine your mini rod head, like, go for it, fire away. We've got to come up with a list here. In backstage, we're going to need more than three. Three's not going to cut it for a main cleat. I have to tell you right now, number one in my book is when you're sitting in the seat and your hand is on the throttle, no sudden movements. Like, everything is slow and methodical, and no jabs or anything like that. That's my number one thing that I would say, if a guy's sitting in my tractor, and he goes to move it or whatever, no sudden movements, like quick jabs or anything on the throttle. That's my-- That's one. That's solid. I would say a good piece of advice would be when you're sitting in it strapped in, not just sitting in the seat. I mean seat belts tight like you would be going down the track, make sure you understand where wide open is. I don't know how many times I've heard people say, yeah, the first time I drove, I only had it at 80% throttle, or 75% throttle, like understand where that wide open position is. So this is a cool little segment to get into here. So whenever I get ready to drive anything, I always like make a practice check. Yeah, yeah, brother. Shane Kellogg says $985 check isn't going to pay for what you break, so just let out of it. Yeah, Shane, I don't think Cleats is super worried about that. So we appreciate your input, Shane, but we're not going to put that on the list, brother. I kind of like that perspective though, so fuck it, just stop. No, no. Like do you ever do the practice runs with your throttle? That really is a real thing. I know. I don't know if we need to put that on there, but it's like just the smoothness of the throttle and shit. The game, yeah, this guy's never, we take for granted, but. All right, Chase, you got to come up with one now. What's your piece of the? I think you take for granted. Like people don't drive with their hand, like with the hand throttle. I would say just focus on getting going through it, set your several routine. So set their sub routine, get the engine started, make sure it goes in gear smoothly, get on the track, back to the sleigh. Like don't think about the pull, thinking about step by step. That's my focus on your routine. You better be dog on, sure, Chase, that like don't eff this up where like he accidentally grinds it to hard and reverse. Like if he can't make a pass because of your lack of guidance, there's going to be there's going to be people outside your hauler with torches and pitchforks. You thought last Friday is bad. We won't say nothing yet. I would say I would say understanding the brakes is definitely something that you need to do. I've seen numerous times where people are drifting and they hit the brake and they continue to go that way. You got to know which brake to hit. It seems like a simple thing to do, but understanding how the brakes work and how to hit them. So Adam, so this is really easy for us to talk about, but like how do you explain that to somebody? Well, yeah, I don't want to speak for Adam, but my piece of advice there would be hook up, do a live telemetry session with your race back, have him sit in the seat and have him push on the brakes and overlay it to a pass where the tractor corrected appropriately so he can personally get a feel of, okay, yep, a little bit harder, a little bit harder there. That amount of brake pressure you're holding right there is roughly what it takes to correct it and not upset it. Because I feel like the like Adam says understanding the brakes, but understanding the pressure that you need to put on the brakes the first pass I made a mini. My dad was like, make sure you don't just hammer a break or you roll this son of a bitch upside down. So I back up to the slide. I'm wide open. I'm drifting. I'm drifting and you can see me on the race back just kind of 100, 100 PSI brake pressure, 120, 140. Nowadays when I need to make a correction, bam, 1500 PSI of pressure like knowing how much you need to push it. I feel like it's very key to understanding those brakes. I think I mean, like Jordan put there at the bottom. It's really good to always, when you're moving the things around, you're trying to do stuff, but always have your feet with a little bit of pressure on them. So the thing, you know, especially back and up, it really helps, you know, figuring out the throttle and use your brake sometimes. Sometimes you have to the clutches the way they lock up. Sometimes you have to drag your brakes when you're back and up. When you're going down the track, some people use such different methods. I have my own, you know, some people leave the line with their feet slightly on the brakes. Some people don't. When you're going down the track, you'll see some people like myself. I like to jab the brake progressively more if it's not turning, not just holding complete pressure on the thing. Sometimes if you have to hit one brake hard, sometimes you need to put a little pressure on the other brake, just so it doesn't one wheel and spin the other tire out. Yeah. So there's, there's numerous things to do. And if all things fail, all things fail, the front end's going up and down. And it's getting out control. You put pressure on both, both brakes. So if it does come out of the ground, the tires just don't, you know, and I mean, really speed up. And it, I'm not going to say it's going to keep you from doing stuff, but I've jammed on the brakes numerous times when a run was bad. And then you just got to know, hey, probably another point here, when to get out of the throttle. That's a pretty big deal. You know, if it's not going good, you got to know when to get out of it. So that's back to Shane Kellogg's comment, right? Yeah. But if it's throwing, if it's throwing a lot of one and stuff, like, yeah, I probably need to back out of it. No, the other thing like I'm thinking like these guys, and he's going to do way better than I'm just thinking worst case, but we are the only sport that I know of. Tell me if I'm wrong where when you're going down the track, there's shit, fucking blowing everywhere. Like in a car that's shit's kind of compact in there. They have fucking blowbite tanks and all this other shit. Like, like, when you see shit going off, like, there's a difference in a fuel line and a, you know, a header, fucking popping off, right? Like you can't, you're not, you can't explain every scenario possible to this guy. But this is why this is a good segment for all of us, because the key points is, I guess you just got as the people in charge of vehicle, make sure nothing falls off of it, right? Yeah. Yeah. For sure. More more on that later, by the way, backstage, make sure the falls off of it. That's from my last, that's my last take that. Yeah, that's, that's for Chase, for sure. I would say we saw a couple of people commenting on here too, that when the front ends up in the air, it's one thing to do a slight correction with the steering wheels, but steering wheels with the steering wheel, but do not crank the wheel. How many times have we seen people with the front tires turned? Also, and here comes the front end down, the whole front shifts over, kicks the whole tractor sideways, things get violent. If you have a five to 10 degree angle on your front tires, if that front end sits down, it's going to correct you enough. Nobody in the history of pulling when their front ends three feet in the air, and they want to take their tires and point them all the way to the opposite side that they're drifting to, as if it's some sort of rudder pushing through the air, like it's just going to guide the front of the tractor over, without touching the ground. Like you can see it sometimes when it's, you know, you're watching it live, you're like, Oh, no, don't do that. Don't do that. Boom. Here comes the front end. And it's like it jerks the rug right out from underneath the tractor. Like slight corrections. My father's rule for me when I started driving was have the tires straight. When you're, when you're backed up and you get tension in the chain, have your hand on the top of the center of the steering wheel. And you can move your hand this way and you can move your hand this way. That is all the correction you need to make going down the track. Never do you need to let go of the wheel with your fingers, palm it and crank it all the way one direction or the other direction. You can just slight direction this way, slight direction that way. So Tyler, when I, I had this problem when I first started, I did the exact same problem. I'm at Wasion. I made the first pass in my dad's like quit cutting the wheel. You're going to tear the thing up. Well, I did. I mean, I, I had them down it. And she's a let out a throw a little shot across, been up the wheelie bar and all that stuff. So there are a couple of things that you can do. If you
take a rat or a tarp strap, take it around the steering shaft and just one time and loop it over to the other side. You can turn it, but it snaps back. - Is that what your father did? - Not that, what my dad does. - He told me, you know what my dad said? He says you do it again, I'm a breaker and. - Oh nice. - You did do it again. - No, I didn't do it again. (laughing) - I did it again, I did it again. - That's my dad's my dad's my dad's method is, and we're gonna do this with him. It's already been determined. A red zip tie, whenever that he gets in there and we bolt them in, put the red zip tie and keep it like up there, enough where he sees it, do not let that damn thing move. Whenever you take off, that's good. I think that's gonna be our method. - I would say another thing, if we're you're talking about that, is definitely pick a spot out at the end of the track and try to aim to it. - Yeah, that's a big one. That's a list where they have to set it. - Yeah. - Pick a spot. Don't be looking around, looking for something. Yeah, you're gonna be looking to see if anything's happened or mine. I'm always looking for fuel line spraying, if that's if it happens. And then outside of that, obviously the guy's gonna be, you'd like to say, we'll just put him in the middle of the track. Well, let's say you can't, because sometimes it gets rutted up and chewed up and you have to move like nowhere the out of bounds line is and pick a spot out at the end of the track and just try to go towards that. - That's a good one, that's a good one item. We, I wanna go back to this break thing because I'm me, myself, driving this vehicle and just knowing the class, I'm really concerned about how do you tell a guy to work the breaks? Give me a good real life example I can use. We can use real. 'Cause I don't mean, oh, so it's just, you can't just say, if it's going to live, you gotta hit right. Like what's something you can relate to? - Well, that's what I'm saying. If you do like a live telemetry session with your raceback, you can't, I forgot that part. You can't ask me, we don't, we don't have that shit, so that's out. - You don't have that racing car? - We don't have a raceback for wheel sensors on it. - So what I would say is, so when you're dealing with the breaks, now I know these big tracers, they're harder to turn. You can, they're a little bit more forgiving than it is. - I actually, Adam, I want to correct you. An unlimited? - Got bigger. - No, unlimited is a, you just ride that thing and hope to God, you can turn it. You can turn a life mile like a mini. - Really? - Okay. - Well, in that case, I would go for the method of, you hit the break, if it doesn't, if you don't, when I jab the break, if I don't feel the tracer, I hit it a little bit more. But you don't just stab it, you know, you, a little pressure, a little more pressure. Okay, it's not turn. I gotta give it a little bit more. If there's ever a point in time where you have to jab it, it's probably not gonna be good. - It's too late. It's too late. - Yeah. - It's too late. I mean, just, - I think it's too late. - I think it's like the second that, so you're gonna be focused on getting the thing hooked. But whenever it sits, and it picks up, it's burning up a hair, you need that thing pointed. So you gotta do it as soon as it fricking hooks in that tractor, not way. I think that's a big talking point maybe, but we'll see. - Yeah. - Yeah. - No, I tried it myself. - I tried it myself. - My dad, we were talking about this today, and he was calling bullshit on me, but there's not many times you don't hit both break, man, because when you hit one, you almost have to hit the other to get it like freaking, where you want it to go. So. - Yeah, I don't know. I'm gonna have to side with Dave on that one. - Yeah, we, Dave says we just can't drive. - Usually when I do, I mean, clearly on a perfect pass, you don't touch either break, right? In my opinion, at least in my experience. But if I have to do slight corrections, it's usually enough to get it back on course, where I feel like it needs to be headed. And I'm usually just hitting one if I'm hitting them. And the last, you know, situations like when I was at Telma Saturday this past year, the track afternoon show, dryin' out a little bit, you know, didn't have spots to hang weights on the back. Like Adam said, "I am riding both breaks, leaving the line for all I'm worth." Like those rotors are purple at the end of the pass. But it's just part of it. I would say a good final piece of advice is, is don't have slack in the chain and make sure it's in forward when you go to take off. (laughing) That's not a personal attack against anybody on the show. - We can't do that to Clea, is we gotta make sure it's in forward. - Yeah, but don't, you know, you've seen some people when they're early on, they go to take off and they try to bring it up and they go, "Rooom!" And the whole thing slams forward and you're like, "Ooh, slot operator doesn't like that guy." - Yeah, that's a good one, don't have slack. - Yeah. - Hey, here's another very important part that I don't think people understand. When the front end starts to pick up and you're maybe not sure of it, do not back out of it. - No, it gets worse. - It slows the tires down and it goes higher. - Yeah. - That's like one thing that you really gotta tell yourself, like, "Oh, this doesn't feel good." If you're gonna get out of it, try to be as smooth with the front end's coming down to roll out of it when you're coming down. Do not let out of it when it's really high because it's gonna go higher first before it comes down. - Adam, you're the greatest of ever seen that get down to throttle before 75 feet. Do you even let him know this is an option or? - Hang on, I feel like there's somebody better at this than Adam. - I think, at least in me, you're on Adam's the best I've ever seen. Let thought never crosses my mind when I'm trying to do anything. And it's. - I wanna think it was Renee Thea Bold. I congratulated one year because I was like, "You have to have the mental wearabouts in the heat of the moment, so well to decide. This isn't going well, I'm going to back out." I swear she did it three or four times in one year. There's no shame in that. I think that's impressive to be in the heat of the moment, coming with the throttle. You're like, "Nope, I don't like how that feels "and back out of it." - So what do I do, do I even go to the other? - I've done it more lately than I used to. Let's put it that way. I've seen, I don't know if it just feels, sometimes I can just tell, this is not gonna be good. And at least try to save the equipment, you know? - Yeah. - I think what I'll tell him is like, all right, we have a rule. If you get going and you just don't like it, just stop. And then we'll drop and we'll talk about it. - I don't know. - I don't even know if I'd tell him about that rule. - Don't even tell him, what do you think of him? - If he goes a hundred feet, and then. - You need the monster threat kill switch on it, you know? - If he was meant to play. - This dude wants it, like he doesn't want exhibition, he wants to be in the fire, so. - I don't know if you're gonna be able to feel what a good run and a bad run is on your first pass. - Yeah. - Yeah, I mean, I guess, I'm like, you gotta try to have something associated to where you fill it in your ass. Like, 'cause that's what we're all driving by, right? Like, I think you gotta tell him to just commit. Full sun. - Well, the thing about, obviously, anything can happen anytime, but out of the four vehicles that we have, and that I've ever drove, this one is. Like, you can drive it too hard probably, as long as you're smooth, now you think you can't do is be too slow with it, 'cause it'll start fucking hopping. - Start fucking. - Yeah, well, tell him to not, don't be fiddle fucking around, he'd better get right after it. - You got rev chips in the room. You got rev chips in those chase? - I do, but I don't think you, I really add 'em, I don't think you can hit 'em in that tractor. - Okay. - I really don't. I say that, and they'll be fucking, no, he'll do great, but, just because there's so much. - So, that's enough. - There are there. - Okay, so that's a good explanation of what you tell him to do. What do you do to make sure that thing goes down the track? - Ooh. - I don't wanna, we're not gonna back it off at all because, as I just said, if that's like, 'cause you have so much tire for those two engines, if those things ain't running right, you've seen those things, we're like, "Rum, rum!" And they're like, "That's when you're gonna tear shit up, and he's gonna have a bad ride." So, I don't think, I think, honestly, I'm just gonna say, "Bro, just get 'em spinning and buy counter-threading "if you ain't wide open to go." - Yeah. - That sounds like an excellent idea. - Yeah, yeah. (laughing) - Yeah, just count to three, and if you ain't wide open to three, you better fucking get there fast. (laughing) - I think it's all the way to see this. - The guy knows Motors and Data Logging, like, I know I keep getting that worse, but like, if you pull up some race pack runs, chase successful runs, and you show him, like, you know, here's the amount, here's the duration of seconds, here's the RPM coming up, here's the throttle position sensor, assuming you have one, maybe you don't. Like, I feel like you can learn a lot from looking at that. I know even personally I have, like, you can look at a race pack run, know if it's a good run, a bad run, what you did wrong. They're great for learning what not to do. - Yeah. - They'll keep you honest. They'll let you know when you screwed up. There's times I start coming with the throttle, and I'll look at my GPS,
And if my GPS speed in the first 50 feet, plateaus in any way, shape or form, I was light with it. I should have, you know, if you're not gaining speed in the first 50 to 100 feet, get the hell out of here. You're too lazy with it. You need to be sooner with it. So I feel like you can learn a lot and he understands enough things. I feel like having him look at some race back data will be very telling for him. - Are you watching that as you're going down the track or just looking at it after the poll? - Well, for sure after the poll, but there is sometimes on some runs, like I have the, you can set your lights up as different warning things. And so I'll have the lights across the top of my IQ3 dash or whatever, light up at various RPM intervals. And it will kind of let me know if, you know, 'cause we don't run an RPM chip because I would rather just load it with the brakes and just watch my RPM has come up on the dash. So I try to keep an eye on that, making a pass, but I wouldn't tell him to do that. I feel like that's a bit much. - See, my dad had, me and my dad had two different driving styles. One as in, like when I take off from the line, I'm trying to make my corrections early in the run, right? You're trying to get, my dad says, you can't do that 'cause it slows you down. - Well, he's right. (laughing) He would wait till the end. And then if he had, he would, he's a drifter, I guess you could say, he would let it drift and drift and drift and say, I can't, I can't break, I can't break. And he finally hit it or whatever, but he's like, man, if you hit the brakes early, it's gonna kill your speed, huh? - Yeah, it does, he's not wrong. Like in a picture perfect run, you don't hit any brake, but I feel like if you hit him too late, you just end up doing that sashay where you kind of kick the tractor sideways and you're completely screwed at that point. - I agree. - But at this point in the game, I think if you have to make a big correction during a pass, whether it's early or late, you're probably not gonna get top three. You're probably not even gonna get top five. - Yeah. - You know what I mean? Like you're just, - Jason, is that tractor been going progressively straight? I mean, you've been in the seat long enough? - Well, considering we offset the hitch all the way to the right to get the go straight, there's your answer. So, I got you. - If anyone watches that class, RJ's tractor, he sold it to the guy. That was, that thing was on a hill with pass on Saturday, he just didn't go straight, right? - Right. - Not many of them go, I'm telling you, they're a little bit like a mini, and they can be worse than me because those tires bite so hard. So, I think breaks are more, my opinion, I think breaks are more critical in that class as they are in many class in terms of doing well, just for my little bit of experience doing it. So, but the guy says on social media, there was an initial post made about this. He said, "I can't wait to floor it." Well, I hope he still knows that it's a hand throttle. So, I guess this will be fun to watch. - Oh, dude. - Dude, we've had, I've had a customer or some people come from circle track racing and it's built into them, right? That they use their feet. So, it's kind of hard to not, you know. Don't have your feet sitting down on the plate, thinking everything's gonna be good, like some people try to do, and keep your feet on the brakes and be ready to make quick corrections without being too aggressive. - And that's what the other thing, like with pulling man, like how many times has a person that's like driven other motorsport stuff jump in something like this? Like I know there's been times where NASCAR drivers and think maybe they're doing a tool drive, but like we go through history of crossover opportunities like this because these things are unique and anyone that loves horsepower and is a gear head, I don't give a damn what he, like when he wrote, he gets here, he's gonna say this is fucking, this is really cool. Any other examples of this? - How do you drive one? He's definitely hooked. - Yeah, he's hooked. As long as we, as long as you all wanna hear something hilarious, we were wrenching on it, like, well, I wasn't wrenching on it. Our crew was wrenching on it today, and being who works with us, he's like, do this front spindles about to fall off this thing? I'm like, can you imagine this guy go out there and the fucking top off of it, he goes and drives. We're not emulten into death, and it's gonna be well looked over as long as we don't screw it up. But has there ever been anyone else, fans, please comment of any other motorsports? I mean, this guy has driven everything, right? - Pretty much, yeah. - Has there ever been an experience like this? I'd love to hear about Dan Mayer, May know, I don't really know, and I'm really curious to see how this goes because of that. - I mean, I'm pretty sure like, Forest Lucas hopped in what a longs-to-wheel drive trucks, I think it was. - What a forest Lucas ever drove though? - Didn't he run a drag car? - Morgan did. - Oh, I'm sorry, Morgan, that's what I'm talking about. - Jaylen, no, Jaylen. - There you go. - Hey, Jaylen, I wanna hear it. - If you're gonna do research, do not watch that pass. - That was rough. That was rough. Yeah, no, Morgan, Morgan Lucas drove a longs-to-wheelers, didn't he, Adam? - I think it was one of them, yes. I can't believe so. - Yeah, there we go. Travis Pastrana drove a 410 sprint car this past year for the first time. We gotta get Travis in him, then he rode. - Fans, please chime in if you know of a motorcycle. - Hey, Tyler, we're gonna be careful here. If we start introducing these ridiculously funded people into our sport, we're all gonna be looking from the back. - I don't care, I'll drag my old garbage out and run against him any day. Alex Laugh won't really count that one, right? Because he was-- - He started in Poland, started in Poland. - Don Garland drove the stitches. Okay, there's one of them, no that. - Okay, I didn't know Don Garland drove a 40. - That would have been an interesting thing for Don Garland's because Jim Lyons didn't drive in the center of the truck. He was off to the side. - At the side of that track. - It's kinda crazy. - Yeah, so how big, like guys, obviously I'm biased. I'm in this, we've been talking about it. Like this is a pretty big thing for pulling, right? - Oh yeah. - Yeah. - That'd be cool. - So what does this, what's the negative from this? The negative is, I guess he could probably go out here and not do well. - Not chase out the points, race. - Yeah, well I'll do that too. - I like the thought of Cleat having a little oopsie and he goes out of bounds but makes a nice pass. And Chase has a killer season outside of that. In all year long, he's like, man, I probably would have won the Grand National Points if it wasn't for Cleat as McFarland. (laughing) - There we go. Like this is a, I think this is a great opportunity for pulling and getting a guy who's, has massive audiences in one of these vehicles. I know it's ours but just for the sport as a whole, I think this is nothing but an outstanding opportunity and let's all pray that UD Motorsports doesn't have it up, right? - Tell him in return that you want to drive one of his cars. - One of the crown picks. - Well, he gives him crown for it, race. It sounds like he needs to have a pull at the old Freedom Factory. - There you go. - Yeah. Will y'all come to that one, you're gonna stay at home? - I'll make an agreement, Chase. If you get a pull at the Freedom Factory, I'll come. And if you end up doing the Trow and Vic race, I'll come be your tag team partner. - So if we get a pull, you two are gonna come. You're not gonna leave me, I'll leave me isolated down here. I'm on my own to do all the talking. - That's right. - All right, deal. - Right on. - Good deal. - Hell yeah. - So that's Friday night, he's flying in. Like I said, Friday picking him up at the airport, be here for the drivers, me doing drivers intro. And yeah, we'll see how it goes. Tune in Friday night, full pull off, or obviously if you're in the area, drive in, tickets will be available at the gate. It's gonna be a fun environment. - So why we're talking about this, I think it's probably pretty relevant after the stuff that transpired this past weekend, are they thinking about moving the time up? Or is there any noise ordinances, or anything like that? - I think we just go all in on last weekend. We can go through each day and-- - Let's dive into it. Why don't we? And then that question will make sense with some context, right? - So, sure. - So, Friday, obviously kicking off the grand national season this early, we've had great numbers, good participation down here at Zellwood. There was a good crowd on hand on Friday. And it was probably, I would say, it was probably one of the worst grand national sessions of pulling in the history of pulling. - It might be a little hard on yourself. - To watch? No, I mean, but honestly, the actual pulls that took place themselves, probably weren't that bad. But let's just call what was, there was laser malfunctions on two tracks at one time. I think that's probably unprecedented to say the least. Everyone there knew it was happening. It was definitely not a, it was one of the worst pulls in the history of pulling. And then followed that-- - It might be a stretch, but nonetheless. - But the,
I want to make that point clear because it was, but to follow it up, what transpired on Saturday there, you know, because every, we say this, I said this all the time last week, but like, people that pull are very passionate people. Like, they would not do this if they weren't passionate, right? Like, for sure, we don't do it for the money we do it for the love. And then you add the competitive nature to it, like everyone wants to win. So when you have a failing laser system and a show that has to get cut off, which to be clear, for those not in the know, the laser system is the metric in which how well you've performed is measured. It's, it's measuring distances. So without that, it was not appropriately working. Yeah. It's like, it's like having a drag race and not knowing how fast people are going. Yeah. I think it started with football game without a football. Yeah. Well, more or less, like just for me being, like obviously being around it forever, but the first mini rod goes in and that we'll get into this. But like, the marker, I didn't know where the marker was that or how far the track was. They went in to say it was going to be 320 feet. The first tractor went and he's pretty close to the last marker and the distance comes up at 308. I'm kind of like, what, you know, like what, what's go, I, that's the first thing I noticed. And then like, I don't know when you ran. This is after the third slidri set though. No, the very first run. The very first run. Okay. It started, so it started there and I looked at us like, man, that distance is off a little bit. Couple of tractors run. Cody smokes it out there. Right. Nice. Nice. So, the bond takes a small way out, puts a really big way in it, which is not accustomed to normally what happens. And the next tractor continues to go far, then they put more way in it. So three, three resets, but you were the first hook after the third reset. Was it set? Yeah. And you went, you went pretty close to 300 feet or passed it. And your distance came up as 288 and I'm like, that's not right. Yeah. So, first thing on that, we've all heard it. People speculate it. Like, everyone, you go to Florida, the tracks aren't good, right? Like, it's like it hurts or stereotype. Can these level of vehicles handle it down there? And the tracks in Florida, like, it's totally different there. You can see the texture of it. It's like sand, but there's a lot of moisture in that sand. And what ended up happening after the three slid resets, there was more weight, rain and a me rod slid at that pole on both nights and ever has been ran. I don't know, I don't want to call it the best me rod track of all time, but what does happen, you know, with all that weight, when the pan drops, like when we're in Ohio somewhere, the pan helps stop the vehicle. Well, on that type of dirt and conditions, the freaking sand just blows apart, right? So there's nothing to grab. So therefore, it takes more and more weight. So, the me rod class in Zellwood, Florida is the most weight ever ran in a me rod class, Alisa, one ran by, you know, Vaughn or one of his sleds. So to get three slid resets, I would say that was probably just part of the course for what does it come because nobody has been down there. No one's raining that stuff before. So that was a delay to start. And then, you know, as you said, the measuring of the distances was an issue, probably for you Adam or people that are really watching, it was an apparent issue from the jump, but as the class went on, they finally came to a stop to address the issue. They got addressed, but, you know, a few hours into it at this point to get the first two classes done, another unforeseeable situation presented itself. And just to be clear, the Saturday night show, after all the Friday, the 13th, Boudou was done, was completed in two hours and 37 minutes. That was a total show, which-- That's perfect. Well, from a preparation standpoint, everyone was sticking three and a half hours, right? So things are running late then. And there's a really good crowd there on Friday night. The biggest crowd probably they've ever had in that venue, even though Saturday was bigger. And we're in like that, that place is operated by a group called Florida Pullers who have six pulls a year. So they have a circuit. They're on organization. They pull a one place every year. And that county is Orange County. Orange County is Orlando, Florida. That started years ago and now has become more of a residential area. And, you know, a couple of months ago, or many times, they pulled late in the night, like 11, you know, 11.30 at night and it's no big deal. But there's billboarders advertising. There's people in this area, all right? So there's way more eyeballs in the ditch on it. About 9.30 ish or so. There's a complaint that comes in that the police are on their way to shut this event down. And this isn't the midst of all this laser shit. Keep in mind. And there's permits that are required that to be there. And like the permits are okay. Well, what's wrong with this? Well, you don't, the zones change. You know, the resinsies over here, like there's another code that's here. Like there's all these fine print shit that's being brought up. And we are putting a position now, like holy shit. So like this show where this is going to take to 11 o'clock and I, are we going to be able to do this? And I myself, nobody else made the decision. Because after speaking with the group there, you know, that's their facility. That's the only place they pull. They've never had a situation like this ever come up. So they're worried about losing their facility that the county owns. I made the decision and I spoke to this, the people there and the competitors there, the drivers being like, look, there's two really bad scary things that are happening here. We have this pull that we are promoting full pull. It's promoting that we say, "Effet, we'll just keep going. We're in Orlando. Let's go." If blue lights come on the track and shut this thing down, this would make for great content of this podcast. But I would say our promoting careers would be over like literally. Could you imagine having a grand national pull shut down with blue lights out there? They like, didn't happen but had it continue to going. It could have happened. There's that thought process. But more importantly beyond that, whatever fines or whatever, screw the cops, let's pay the fines. This group has that facility that they run in six times a year, up to 100 people. Just like we love pulling that is their coveted place. I could just feel the sentiment that if we got fined and this shit went bad that they could lose their place to pull and with the way things were going, I made the tough decision. Myself, nobody else to say, "Guys, we gotta stop this right now and that's exactly how it went." That's fully 100% of promoters fault nobody else for not thoroughly getting some things buttoned up, I guess. I'm assuming that you could just pull to 11, 30 at night. But don't needless to say, you learned that it won't happen again. Well, within reason, I won't say anything, whatever happened again, you know me my whole life. I think you need to think it happened again. But it was just a very shitty deal. Everyone's at fault. Us, the promoter, me myself, I take most of blame for this. But we tried to do the best we can to manage the situation. So I would be the most eye right person ever if I had to compete and pull at that event. But we tried to make it right with the light mod and the diesel four-wheel drive class. We'd double the purse, we took the purse from Friday at Rainits and doubled it for Saturday. We didn't have to do that. But we did it because we wanted to just show how much we appreciated them being there. You know, it was just one of these things between the laser, between this issue. There were things that the track could have done better. And I want to say I have never been more prouder to be a part of something my life than, you know Friday was the worst event in the history of pulling. I think Saturday was historical. It was really historical. We know it was historical because we were in a state that's not seen Grand Asher pulling since 1979. The place was packed, really standing room only on the hillside in the bleachers and it took major horse power to win all four classes. So I don't want to call it a roller coaster, but it was a weekend we'll never forget. It certainly sounds like it was. And I mean, I always tell our guys at work, mistakes happen. Nobody's perfect. But when you choose not to learn from those mistakes, that's when it's shameful. But as long as you can, you know, if stuff happens and you choose to learn from it,
And you get better for it, which it looked like everything went well Saturday and not that necessarily mistake I mean, maybe some mistakes were made Friday, but it's not like somebody actively chose to have a non-functioning measurement system But you guys you guys came back on Saturday put on a hell of a show. It was fun to watch. It looked good The action was was constant so Good on you for sticking with it Yeah, I guess I guess I might deal when you're dealing with this laser and this has just come up in in my head I'm sure to come up in other people's heads, but is there any way that we can have like a GPS in this in the In the sled I know they're working on this outlaw uses it and stuff Not saying that you necessarily have to go to it But in a case like this if you start out the class and you're reading by the the laser and The GPS if if the distances correlate over a matter of time and Seemed to line up it gives you an idea that hey these things are pretty accurate It would be like a fail safe if you have a condition happen like you had where it quit that you can still process the pool within some reason If if you know that you're your laser in your GPS or corresponding together you can shoot the The number off if there is a failure. Adam. I You you're taking the words in my mouth. I think there needs to be always two reference points my opinion The GPS is cool because it takes no manpower, right? Obviously, I think there's checks and balances, but I'm cool with lasers, but I think they're Like look at anything you do in this world. There's there's moments where all shit can break loose and Are all hell can break loose and when that happens, it seems to be plans. So I'm confused I've been I've been around the sport my entire life and I guess it's something I've never really thought of how exactly is the laser inputted into Obviously a mathematical equation That it bounces and reproduces the number is that done by hand math? Is it done by a spreadsheet with a equation built into it? How does that all happen? I think that's probably built into the software of like the the laser itself because they they shoot the the prism on the sled and Re-zero at each time of hung out at the tail end of the track and at that point you re-zero at as Zero and the system itself is just calibrated that as it gets closer than you shoot the distance on the prism once the sled is done moving at the end and that's your distance Okay, so so is what I Guess if you were re-zeroing the the initial deal Let's say you're Obviously the distances were off in the minirod class, right? Like you can see the distances are off They made corrections on some not on all but like There had to be if that sled was going back to the same point and getting reset it zero it the zero is not right obviously, right? Well, I guess there's two different things that could happen there You're obviously using the track markers as a benchmark of perfection and I don't know like when they had the minirod sled did they have it The markers more so set for a zero point for the one sled and the minirod sled came all the way to where the back of the other sled was But what I'm getting at higher zero point after the laser malfunction the first time and they reset it the distances were actually More correct, you know, they they they lined up so how did how did that happen I guess is what I'm saying I guess who knows Right like I was just saying if you have a reference like and you can go back and let's say there is a math equation It has to be put in after the number is produced off the laser and and you're watching in your watching the GPS And every time it lines up and then one time it doesn't yeah I would imagine the laser itself is outputting not raw data, but a finished number you know So an actual an actual value of of feed I would think because it's kind of like a surveying type laser I think is what they use but yeah, I don't know I really went into the depth of how it's Outputed out of the laser how that's transpondered over to the announcers. Yeah, yeah, I mean certainly the lasers producing a measurement and feed It's not oh putting some sort of garbally-gook raw data that you have to run through some sort of formula obviously No I guess what I'm saying here is if it's You're using one laser for two tracks Right is that is that the case probably I? Don't honestly I have no idea. I think there's a laser There's got to be a laser for a test because well you have time You have times where two tractors will run at once occasionally so you would have Here's what I'm getting here's what I'm getting at I know that's not necessarily true all the time because at farly there was one laser For both tracks, okay So I guess what I'm trying to understand is how you go back and forth back and forth back and forth There has to be some sort of triangulation or something right? I mean I'm not maybe getting too tight I'll go with obviously I think there was an issue and we know that no there wasn't no thinking there was and Look in there in all competitive sports, especially ones with eyeballs and like it's a good thing People should be fucking people should be pissed that this happened compares to be pissed but Like like there's no more people that feel bad or like Like the urgency level to make sure shit is fixed more than people that help run these sports and makes these decisions We give them a hard time a lot in this podcast, but you know This is a really bad example horrible example because fatalities is nothing like a miss a misused laser, but When Delan Hard dot in NASCAR they change everything they did to Fixed a lot of safety things and I don't think they've not had a fatality since this is apples and oranges fatalities not a miss late Miss laser calculation, but I think all leaders in all pulling Organizations right now have probably spent this week looking at their practices and making sure that This probably doesn't happen again, all right, and I don't want to get into how to fix it. I guess I probably can give an opinion, but People care like I think the people that needed care care and You know it I Asked Wayne solving this Been spent a lot of time of waiting and I asked Wayne to come this podcast and I he's like I Watch that I ain't going out in this cold. I'm a watch in the totor so he's actually two didn't shout the Wayne Big no practice podcast fan, but like have you ever in your life at a cool Seen this happen and like know you haven't No, he know he's not right. There was there was once when Bruce had his unlimited I think it was Jefferson City, Missouri Bruce is probably sitting in his shop nodding his head being like yep and Bruce made his pass in the distance they put up on the scoreboard Did not reflect Where it visually looked like he went on the track markers like at all like at all at all and it did for everybody else And I'm like no that that can't be right and Bruce is like I know I went further than that I'm like yeah, you did I feel like that will be fixed and They stuck with the distance that was put up there and we cross checked it on the race pack because you can you know Zero your distance when you're backed into the sled and like the race pack distance calculated is usually pretty spot on Within a couple feet in our experience and sure enough like what the race pack said matched up with what the video looked like versus the track markers and You know driving home. He's like I don't know what to do I'm like I don't think there's anything you can do like you just kind of got screwed on that one like you look like a little Little bitch getting a hold of him being like look at my race pack data and look at my video You didn't give me a far enough distance and like whatever he went to one the pull But you know maybe who we got in third instead of like ninth place or something like that We didn't know which right yeah, well we didn't know what to do But like still to this day. I think I bet everything I own that like he kind of got screwed there But I'm sure there's you worries of all levels of pulling where that's happened to our But my point to Wayne and my dad and some others around have you ever been to a two track show or the show's going on run by run where everyone's Obviously questioning that this it's I don't know that's never happened No, I don't I don't think so so anyway I feel like we don't need to make this a weird apology Like a lot easier to tease you Chase when you're not being so humble and apologetic like kind of it's not It's not even that but like I want to make sure I'm querying up you things with that Zellwood because it was a success the track was awesome Shout out to Mark Kelsey Mark Kelsey is the owner of the Sat zoom in facility has a background of excavating builds tracks Scott Freeders Promoter the sandwich Illinois event come down those guys in the staff built a awesome track like it took power to win Every class there the same cruise here again this weekend expecting nothing less That's one big takeaway from for me other big takeaway
was the fans that showed out. Friday's crowd was huge there despite you know the misfortune at show and then Saturday's crowd standing room only record attendance there. We ran out the parking was full the buzz and the excitement for pulling in Florida in the show that was put on. I think this is going to be a long-standing thing and very proud of that all endeavor and then the last day I want to say you know you all know this and I'm set it before like I have a background in basketball and I coach division one hoops for 10 years and like there's a lot that I don't miss about that career but you know this this weekend you know I would say at times there's one thing that still gets my excitement going about coaching and I probably will coach again somewhere some level someday I don't know what but like everyone hates to lose like you're in a competitive win-lose environment but like everyone hates lose of when you lose and you're in a group with a group of people that are trying to win this shit with you whenever you all look around that room there and say all right guys we got to figure this out like we sink or swim together and like coming out of that adversity to rise up to you know perform the next game and win the next game and that is so rewarding and awesome and I want to shout out to all those competitors that were at Zellwood most of all of them are here at Sassoum and like that was a very hard Friday night there's no secret like the scrutiny that was was becoming of this from the fans to the internet to the people there you know coming to that driver's meeting on Saturday it was it was tense and people were not happy but I think everyone left there with a pack like look guys we are going to move forward this we're gonna put on a show and we're gonna look back on this and learn from it and like that's like a very special moment for me as a promoter and how shitty that night was and getting in front of those competitors and like hey we got a rally together we're competitive but we got bigger this shit out and that is it was a very unfortunate thing that happened but man I'll never get how great that show was on Saturday so well I got a start moment but like that was what well said one one thing that did make me laugh is when you say online scrutiny I saw somebody comment in the various Facebook comments about this event you know somebody said they won't discuss this on the podcast they won't dare talk about it I'm like are you shit me I'm like what what kind of nonsense would that be can you imagine if we just got on here didn't even bring it up how dumb that would be well we're trying to grow a sport we're trying to grow we're trying to grow interest you take the go to bed and like it is what it is but all right special people special night look forward to this week and here in session I got another question it's the same question I've been asking the whole time I did notice initially that there was gonna be a 320 foot track in a pull-off can you maybe go through what was the mentality and thinking there obviously time restraints things like that slid resets all that stuff but I like Travis's comment we were laser focused on Saturday night did him laser focus I heard that somewhere Travis Adam great question that's one point we're trying to get into think fans and even you two I don't know if you even know this because you weren't there I know some of this because of my promoter that as a competitor I didn't know so like track links are a part of insurance requirements meaning like you can have a 350 or whatever foot track but like you have to have so much runoff room per your insurance requirements and that facility there at Zellwood the way to meet the requirements of the insurance 320 foot was all we had and we kind of turn it around from like the direction that group always pulls was the opposite direction we knew we're gonna have a lot of vehicles and a lot of people and we we we turned it around and basically had had a a ceiling for how far we could run because it wasn't a runoff the direction we were going and 320 was it we did not want to have a pull off at that event but you you all know like I know we're going to new dirt we had good equipment there it's gonna be really really hard this first day to keep everybody at 320 foot like I just like I knew that wasn't gonna happen in my brain no matter how bad are we wanted to and the decision was made 320 was a full pull because that's all we had not because we wanted to because that's what the insurance requirements were well I guess some flexibility was given I don't I didn't ask the questions but you know it turned to a floating track and I don't think the mini rock class went 330 on Saturday I think everything else of 320 behind but you know I had this conversation with Lindsay and Kevin Campbell and like look I my personal belief is I love pull-offs we've talked about pull-offs in this podcast a lot different ways of doing them but I don't love them without added like incentive financially and to be frank this event did not have that added incentive so you know like a guy like Cody Singletary I believe made great passes he made a great pass and they I think he was in a situation where he was gonna have to run three times if this 320 roll was a butterfly which no one no one once but he broke when he broke so it was really gonna put him up against the wall yeah and like I don't no one wants to make people run three times but like I was talking Lindsey can about this I almost think if we can get to a point is a sport where you're incentivized this is my opinion only you're incentivized to run that second time or whatever compensation is but if there's like three resets then like it's floating like that's it because you don't want to make anyone else run multiple times because I think all we all we all give them hell and like I give them as Adam had I do you do we all do we like I think ultimately they are just trying to keep us from having to run multiple times I really do believe that so that was the danger question now 320 was the full pull I can tell you at this pull-as-week in we have 500 feet of runoff they're gonna be floating finishes oh yeah that sounds like I guess I was gonna bring up my point you know like we kind of mentioned this well yes but like when when when you look at in HRA and this directly correlates I think in our sport so Scott Coletta makes a pass at English Town New Jersey and potentially we don't know but there there's not a lot of runoff room there and they were still running a quarter of a mile he ended up losing his life because there wasn't enough runoff he hit you know there's a bad deal so in HRA did not go well English Town New Jersey short and Pomona's got really short runoff we're gonna run a thousand foot here and the rest of the tracks we're gonna run a quarter of a mile they said we're gonna take the shortest track that we have and we're gonna make all the pulls that way like is there some point in time where we can finally decide on a distance that we're gonna run like that's just the long and short of it I mean I don't think so I think I think we like I think we like high-flying fast passes and people get too jazzed up for 350 foot runs to try to cut everything back like the old days where a 300 foot pass meant you were really on one I agree it's hard I like 350 foot pulling I didn't I like it too I like it too uh logistically it was impossible in Zellwood do you not let pull a venues like Zellwood not pull maybe that's what it comes to one day I'm in my state I'm just saying like I'm not saying you're right or wrong but I would love to just have a word that top three distances no matter what we go come back I would agree with that no I'm looking with that but I'm looking at my gamesfully incentivize it for those top three well like over over at ppl if you get a sled reset at the banquet at the end of the year they give you a check for every time you're involved with a sled reset and if you are in a pull-off you get pull-off money it's it's not a ton but like that does help because like they've got some skin in the game too it's not just like oh yeah sorry we're gonna have to reset that on you like that that cost you money more than what they're giving you but it is also costing them money and I kind of like that system because you can't just be like oh oopsie daisies like it's money out of both ends pockets so that is that is a neat concept I think like fans no one like hey if you make the pull-off you got like those that those do you run for more money like I don't know I mean money fixes everything right oh yeah just my
But as a promoter, there's more you learn about things that I think I owe some people some apologies about that. I feel like you've done enough of an apology to her. I think he's, I think he's, it sounds like he's fallen on the sword for all of them. Yeah, I, Adam, that moment where you stepped away or you had a connection issue, I told Chase it's a lot harder to tease him and give him a hard time when he's being so humble like this. No, I heard it. I got to, I got to, I got to, just wait until, until Kletus has a bad run, you think I'll ever be allowed back in the sport again? Oh, yeah, you think people hate you now or are you kidding me? Nobody hates me. What are you talking about, Tyler? I think it's time for some fan questions, right? This has been a unique type of show. Thank you for everyone tuning in. We have a really, really big numbers tuned in already. I obviously, I think the buzz around Cleaves, the farlet. That's what he always says, guys. No, they're backstage, backstage for a record numbers, right? All right, here we go. All right. All right. All right. Fan hotline, as always, doesn't have to be during the show. Even if you're listening to this two weeks after this show airs, you can always text or call 270-681-05 050-09 and get your question right on the show, just like we're going to do right now. With all the safety things, there are for the drivers and the fans, what about the flagman and the guy hooking the tractor? The flagman needs at least a fire suit instead of his highly flammable polyester shirt. And the guy hooking the tractor probably needs some sort of helmet. On all the tractors are built differently. When you lean over that buckboard, which is the part in front of the sled, many things could happen. Having done both jobs for the NTPA, this needs looked at for their safety. Gentlemen, your thoughts. I'm sorry. I'm such a serious mode right now. I like to think about his old memories. So Adam, remember my friend that we brought to that pool? We tell him he's the fuel man. Yeah. So this is back when I was, I know your sister, your sister in brother law really remembers this story. So I have one of my buddies in high school actually. We were at Chapel Hill, Tennessee, scorching heat, first tractor pole. And he was like, what can I do for the team? What you ever bought an ass car? Blake? Yeah. All right. So they had this guy that dressed in the full fire suit in the helmet. You got to keep it on all day and walk around the pits. And it was time to fuel us up, fuel us up. And this dude, man, he was in the pits all day. Like, I think we said at five o'clock, take your position. And he's just walking around the pits with his helmet as far as suit on. And like all of our friends like, what the hell's going on with this guy? And like, all right, fuel man, it's time to go about the time we get out the track. I think it's one of the Chapel Hill guys says, what the hell are you doing? He's something to fuel man. He's like, man, no boys over there. They're just screwing with you and he threw his helmet off and threw it. I have to know you guys, but it was a Ashley and Craig. Remember that like it was nothing. That's a real story. Not to get on subject but anybody ever wants to get one of the poses. Bring them on. Come on. The fuel man. I don't know. Look. I think this is a little over the top. This statement. I'm never against safety. But man, like, if we can't get back to this sled and like be civil about what we're doing. Like, we don't need to be doing this. That's my statement to this. But I'll let you all have it. And I've got to blank Newton on the fuel man story. I would say my opinion on it is when it comes to safety of the sport, we really need to focus on the fans. Not so much the drivers and the flagman because I feel like as drivers and I would assume the flagman, they understand the risks that are at stake. You know, they're familiar with the process. I don't think if a flag guy wanted to take it upon himself to take extra measures of safety because that's what he chose to do, he would be told he can't. That would just be ridiculous. So much like the safety rules such as putting breaks inside the chassis, I feel like the safety of the fans should be the top priority, not the people that understand the risks behind it, such as the flag guys, the people that drive our tractors. Now that being said, clearly I'm going to choose to wear a fire suit and a helmet and a neck brace, even if they told me I didn't have to. I guess it wouldn't be a bad thing for the flag guys, but we already. Safety tower. Well, we already get on here and we bitch that they make the wrong call. Can you imagine if the guys were sweating their butts off wearing a flag? Like my vodka. My vodka. Yeah, like we're already over there and we're just like, yeah, you know, this. Look, we analyzed this from 16 angles in slow motion, in this idiot over here clearly made the wrong call. I don't know why he couldn't see it in real time. You take that same guy and load him up on the fire suit on a nice July hot Saturday afternoon day, wearing a full-face helmet, and we're like, "Hey, Jerry, what's the deal?" I watched it in slow-mo, I think you screwed up, and he's like, "I can't even see out of this thing." Hey, let me talk about microphone. Yeah, yeah. So, I feel like the flag guys, if they weren't comfortable with it, they would take extra levels of precautions. So, much like the drivers. If they do it, they should make them be over the top and have like astronaut suits on. Hey, I was just thinking about this. Could you imagine if the flagman had a knock-in like the referees doing NFL, like you come out there and do the signals or whatever, and kick-load, pullers disqualified, run out of bounds, next tractor, you know, shuts the stuff off. I feel like it's. I guess it's not a bad thing, but I feel like the end of that one is, if a flag guy wanted to wear, because you don't have to have a full fire suit, you can get like the no-max long underwear for lack of better terms. If they chose to wear that, so be it. Those guys have some long days out there already. Whenever they outlaw diesel from tractor pulling, then we can go to this role. Yeah, I would agree. I think the flag guys' safety should be up to their discretion. That's my opinion. Good question, though. Good question. Yeah, great question. Next question. What else we got here? Okay. Yeah, hi. I had to question. I had to question, was wandering with Chase's vehicles, both Bush Lightwrapped, why he hasn't changed his name on the vehicles to hold this and watch this, as in, hold my beer and watch this, thanks. I mean, that's a good idea, Chase, if you ever decide to get away from the sexual innuendo names. That's a hot concept. So hold this, isn't one? Yeah, well, no, I don't think so. It's like, hold my beer or, yeah. Or she'd say, hold my beer and watch this. What is this? Yeah. Yeah. I mean, we're always building new vehicles. I think we need to call one vehicle this and then the rest, watch this, hold this. And that's a good support. That's a good point, this point team, maybe it'll make you a future endeavor. Yeah, I like that. That's a good question though. Chase needs ideas. So all right, next question, what else we got here? How would you rank the states with best tracks to worst? Best regards? Luke C. Adam O'Reilly. Going by states with the best tracks to the worst. I would say, most people are probably going to say, Ohio is probably the best tracks. I would venture to say, there's a lot of pulling going on there. But there are a lot of good pulls in other states. So, I would just say Ohio would be an average on what people think are good. You know, what is the worst state? Adam. Well, that's a good question. Now, careful, you're going to hurt some old minds. Adam. You already know your answer. Let's hear your answer. Oh, I think it must be a good question. Hang on a second. Any state that's got rocks and dirt, I don't like. That's fair. That answer, man. Tyler, you're quite best state, worst state. Well, hang on. I thought you were going to tell us your worst state. Yeah, where's yours? Best state, Ohio for sure. I do think I do think there are some hidden gems though. Down like North Carolina, South Carolina areas. There's some red clay down there. I think some of that stuff can be good, but Ohio. Ohio Midwest Illinois. There's good tracks. Yeah. The worst track this evening close is Michigan. Michigan's the worst thing I've seen for tracks. If you go to Michigan, there's rocks. It's like Fred Flintstone. Yeah. I don't know that. I don't know. I don't know all that. No, Michigan, Michigan is by far the worst I've ever seen across the board. Like it's like, it's never got to pull chase. Never got to pull.
Hudsonville, did he? Yeah, see? Hudsonville in its prime was the primo. I remember that Hudsonville in its prime was a badass. I mean just fantastic. I was like pebbles. Yeah, stone as they say in the world. Yeah. What is the best state of a pulling track? I would say Well-watered and well-prepared is the best state of a pulling track and the worst state of a pulling track is just kind of dried and full of rocks. So that's that's my interpretation of that one. We like Hudson's and I will say Hudson used to be one of the toughest tracks in the country but last year on Saturday night, I think Adam you may have one. That track is in a long ways. It was very good that night. So shout those promoters in that come a long way. For sure. Yeah. All right. Next next question. Yeah Yep, and now the next question coming up here that we're going to read is is coming right up as always you can call or text 270 681. 0 9. What's that chase? We have some sound like which happened in re-assembly conviction. There's a lot of there's a lot of hands. They're reading the laser. The laser's working. Guys, this is the kind of magic we have when we bring you this show live. It's called No Practice Podcast for Reason, but we've got the next question here. Hey guys, hope you had a safe and responsible St. Patrick's Day. My comment from last episode you guys last episode talked with the what I would consider high-end tech official of the NTPA and it motivated me to go to the class to become one of the Minnesota Wisconsin area. Yeah, those are state of reverial. Yeah, thanks, Jason. So thank you guys for that. However, with the three of you barring any point, Chases you all are currently in. Consider coming to any of your areas regions, areas regions, polls giving local fans a grand national polar is experienced at the regional level. Well, Adam just mentioned Hudsonville, which is a poll 10 miles from here, five miles from here, and we still go to that event even though it's not really a sanctioned event anymore. Just so that people at our local area, I guess, can see it, but I did have to put rods in an engine a week ago with the assistance of my father and those rods only had five passes on them, but we couldn't in good faith continue to run them because the other engine that also had roughly five passes, the rods were out on the pulling track before the end of the season. And we think it has to do with the extraordinarily high overrevs from Hudsonville's track. So there's plans. What's that? Tracks really good. This wasn't this year. The track can be. Michigan's the worst day. You just spruck and double down on my statement. I mean, I don't know about that. Just I mean, it's a great state for Michigan. Marines athletics. That's right. That's right. I tell you what, here's the thing about the regional pool stuff, you know, and we used to we used to hit a lot of them back in the day. I think always said if my dad said if there was a poll on the moon, we probably would have went there. But here as of lately, you know, run in the circuits a lot, man, if you look at the schedule for an NTP, you got a big green national, you got 23 hooks. And it's really a lot where you're sitting at home, too. Yeah, that's true. But I mean, you know, and some people are saying, good faith, like, well, the regional circuits, they need to be supported by regional pullers and the green national pullers need to be supported by the green national stuff. And if there's one close, I'll go do it, you know, but it's got to just line up with time. And if we get the help and stuff like that, more or less, it's kind of way I look at it. I think it's a good time to note that like the mini rod class is rapidly growing, but like we're Adam and I live, there are no regional or grassroots mini rod pulls where Tyro lives. There's quite a few like, I think we may be the only mini rod in the state of Kentucky to be honest. Not because people don't want to run them. There's just no words. Like I think we might someone call me out. The cutshaws have some. I think that back Tennessee, other Tennessee. Regardless, there's just no there's no place to run it. Not because they don't want to. They're just the local levels, you know, to, especially a meteorite class. It's a condense of commitment to get a sled and so forth. It used to be a hotbed for way back in the day, but it that's kind of moved around now, you know, obviously it's not here. Yes, we might I think we are the only ones in the area and Adam and I are out hour and a half apart, but I don't know that another mini rod. I guess the Nelson's be the closest to us, but we will drive wise, you know, Kentucky's a hotbed for it. And absolutely we tried to when we get done pulling at the end of the summer support, you know, local events and Elizabeth Town, Kentucky has a growing pull that we went to last year. The first week in October ran our light monitor will drive plan to go back to it again. So absolutely try to support everything we can to regional look level and where I'm from. I've said this before in this podcast like in which field Kentucky they pull like every weekend. So if we are, you know, it'd be great somehow to toss something in with all that going on there. But as we said, there's we all are busy and not many open weekends. Sounds like the answer is if it works, we're happy to, but it doesn't always work out. All right. Next question. What's that? Just don't go to Michigan. Don't be scared. Hello guys. Question for Chase. What gear ratio did your dad change the mini to for Satsuma asking for a front? I'm clonin. Chase, what year did you put the mini? Well, we got people everywhere. We went, we changed ring opinions. So, okay, can you tell us your available options with the no transmission over speed/reduction and the transmission for a modern and the planetary gear set? I would imagine fixed, but it's a four nine inch center. So you have various ring opinions. What if you option to do the four nine inch? What are your overall gear options? I don't know. I just asked my dad. I'll give you a few. Yeah, I didn't expect it. It's said, my dad, I got to ask him. I didn't know he changed. I was going to be shocked if you started rattling off numbers. I wiped down the fenders. What we know here is Mr. Clonin's chase doesn't know. So, you know, he doesn't know. He doesn't know. He doesn't know. Next question there. I like the question though. Mr. Richardson always after the gear ratios. He got to get him. Chase, what? What came of your tractor on Friday night and should have this been a DQ by the rules? So I want to pause a moment. Let's pull the video up of Chase's pass from Friday. There's two things to comment here. Hang on a second. You can't just show this on there. Oh, yeah, we can't. Yeah, we can't. I actually reached out to our backstage producer and I told her I wanted this clip ready because this was a talking point and I promise I actually didn't even submit this question. But I have it written down in my notes that it's something I wanted to cover but it didn't come up organically earlier when I told her to put the video on. So let's roll that video right now. And let's look at the distance. Let's see how far it goes. There's 200. We got some sparks here. Okay, notice right there at the end there's a piece that falls off and that is what we would call a side shield which in my opinion is a piece of safety equipment. Chase, would you agree with that statement? I think it was a pigeon ahead. Didn't see many feathers flying. All right, Marvin, I'm sure you're watching this like all pulling fans in the universe are watching. Just give me a DQ. I got 17th just make me 20th in every way. Well, look at you, your past the 300 foot mark and you got your distance with 288 feet. Now Adam and Chase's defense we did cover. There was a malfunction on distances. So I don't want to be to tell us there. This is fresh meat here. All right. Chase in your humble opinion. What should have happened there? You should have dropped it is what you should have dropped it. It was a new tractor with new vehicle shit falls off of it. No pun intended and just wanted to go back and check it over. So I mean, look, if I should have been deep. Hey, excuse me. I'll take it. Hey, hey, here's the thing though. And he, he, you had two hours looking over. That's how long the class took. Adam, that's not Adam. That is harmful, not helpful. All right. You get a positive. Check for that. Yeah. You know, you might get a positive. You get a positive. Check for that. So hang on. So what is the.
I get if someone's gonna get technical I need to know what the rules You were first took you say oh you're de cute. I drop it. Yeah, I can't thumb through the rule book right now But I think there is something in here about Stuff falling off and I genuinely don't have this that repair They would be giving out would have dropped it, but I understand competitors out there really worried about My side shields give me an advantage and I'll I'll take place Brakes going on there looks like you're really strong. This is the 2023 edition so maybe things change But if you do turn to page 33 section C under disqualification points awarded section 1c loses safety equipment or failure of safety equipment to function Is that a law? You got 20th chase. Sorry. You ever robbed a bank? Chase I think everybody's gotten away with ones. It's good to see you I would want to do if I don't get a DQ. I'm lucky. I got away with it. Yeah, I know I know So tell us about the sparks though chase we see a bunch of sparks coming from presumably your brakes from underneath the tractor Are these titanium rotors we're dealing with? I had to do some work my brakes For Saturday and just a new stuff wearing it in wearing tearing it in dollar. Okay, okay Is that confirming or denying the titanium rotors? I? Think that's a wrong color spark for titanium a Tyler. Yeah, what's titanium? So I guess my dad what titanium is what is that? Yeah, I tell you what you got to have around your clutch next year Yeah, all they're not titanium No, okay. I was just curious Yeah, all right. Well gentlemen, I think that's the last question and I believe we had turned to Mr. Richardson to bring some guests, you know It's not very often here. We are in a Wednesday night and Chase is on the grounds Boots on the ground at a pull with pullers So we had tasked Chase with lining some people up and he does such a phenomenal job doing it remotely We figured he could really knock it out of the park face to face chase. Did you get that done? Well, I told him to come over here any seven day tone. So I think I think I'm not good Is that right Yeah, so I invited a couple competitors over but Okay, yeah, I was I was unaware of this when I sarcastically led you in and really really talked you up like you were gonna knock it out of the Park there well, he yeah, it's all my fault. Oh, but yeah Get somebody to climb like Mark Mangin did to come on this podcast No, Jamie Yeager Who I found it fascinating Obviously we're not in a road like this very often, but he had an engine shipped in To the grounds here like on a R&L truck. They got that they got the engine out today and they put in the truck I think backstayed may have some video of it and Took out the box and literally put in the truck swapped it out and The rate of run again. I think they were gonna make it a test it on maybe tomorrow and I engaged him to come by and he was commenting on the podcast at the beginning of the show, yes Well, I Guess I dropped the ball in this like I did on my gear ratio of my tractor So he said bro, I'm going to Daytona. I'm sorry. I Guess he told me that but I didn't understand but anyway, pretty cool stuff have a truck delivered on site here That's Jeremy and J. Beaver J. Beaver's Big part of that team a clearest McFarlane Dowhard fan But lots of activity here on the grounds there was also a Couple of other teams I had engine shipped in. I don't think it was put in like this one was a day here on site, but Yeah, that's I'm sorry for scrim the the guest tower. Don't yell at me for this Yeah, I won't I guess let's let's give it a five minute warning if somebody's on the grounds watching this You probably know where that trailer is chase would you like to describe to a potential guest where they can find that trailer? It's on the infield at the end of the truck. Can't miss it. Okay, so if somebody wants to walk over there knock on the door Yeah, because Jeremy stood me up. He went to Daytona. I didn't know he was going Daytona but look little little fun fact about meeting Jeremy Ager we're pulling at a Fort Recovery, Ohio and Jeremy was pulled in the pits there and and it for anybody knows that's a really hard place to park a very long rig and I kind of The only way we could make it work is I parked about six inches from his truck and I was so apologetic. We had so much fun with those dudes like Holy cow We we became we became really good friends after that really looked forward to hanging out with Jeremy and those boys they Pretty pretty cool group to hang out with Well, I got to respect the dedication of hurting a motor and just shipping one in on a semi truck Grabbing the old tele handler and just dropping in a new bullet Yeah, Lindsay and Kevin had an engine sent with I think that's a planetary part issues, but now there was there was a couple different tractors many rods specifically Cody Singletary being one of them he had some planetary issues correct Yeah, but Believe Cody and Lindsay one of their tractors have issues so Yeah, and then the Yeah, the four-wheel-drive class they a couple of guys that class is really cold, but you know that I know that Craig Dickey and his crew they they tore up a rear-end You know they made test pass of these vehicles last Thursday night, which What's your thoughts on this actually? This is a good time. I mean we can wrap with this you guys practiced on Thursday Test pass, so we do the same thing a lot of That's practice isn't it yes, so I'm gonna do to get in tomorrow if someone wants to make a test run and make a test run and Test pass me let me run this by you all I might get in trouble for this, but oh Think about the middle of summer you have a vehicle with an ignition problem or something stupid going on, right? And we all chase this stuff down. What if we know we can get to the event the night before and Make a test run to see if the thing runs is that good or bad for pulling? I think that's good for pulling. It's in everybody's best interest to have the most capable vehicle they can When it comes to showtime and it seems like I looked at I was like okay, I get it I love test passes. I would have got out there in Hartbeat. I would surprise zero minirons did it I felt sorry for the limited pro guy that Burn a piston the first run on the test pass and then Friday night when he ran he burnt another piston Hmm, like that guy's got a killer tune up in there. I can appreciate that right, but like I'll tell you why I would have made a test back Just to see how the tractor reacted to a different pulling service than we normally pull on yeah, you know, I Think they will for the mini class. It would have helped with obviously a sled setting, but yeah, were they using the lasers on Thursday? Somebody texted me and said to ask that I'll never tell who It's a valid question. Maybe we need to do testing for the lasers on the But now I see it from your I see it from the side of full pull It's a chance for him to get out there and kind of record some stuff and make sure everything's working properly for the Potential event that's coming up, you know, I can see it as being good for that I can see it good for testing out all the track equipment. It'd be good for people that are running the you know The dirt equipment to see what they're working with and what it's gonna take overall. I think it's probably a good idea to do it I don't see a Negative any of it other than people who's got work a little bit more. Yeah, I think we might have to rename the show though to Sometimes practice podcast. That's the only problem Well as long as we don't predict this paper good, right? Oh, okay. Yeah, that's that's fair So Chase are you basically saying hey, no, what you know now Chase would you would you not take a test pass on your brand new tractor? Well, I wouldn't have got the acute for my side shield, right? All all kidding aside. Can you imagine if they come back and they say Chase is disqualified because of us just ribbing him on the show over that Even watching boys. Hey, it's Carm all thinking about all this stuff we've done I guess I would I would I would actually genuinely feel bad about that I just had people send me like the the Facebook videos of your run and they're like shouldn't he be disqualified? I'm like, I don't know. I'm like I guess I'll be
bring it up. I feel like I have to. Yeah. 17 to 20 if I guess something that's going to change it ain't going to make any differences. Yeah. I will say one thing I did like was the the straw hats that got progressively larger in diameter based on how well you finished. Is that something we're going to see this coming weekend again, Chase? The straw, the straw hats are running back. Yeah. So the sling thing. Yeah. Yeah. It's those are fun. I liked it. I mean, out of hour's face was just glowing with happiness up there with that straw hat placed on top of his head. If we were if we were more prepared, we would have that picture to throw up right now. So if if we got a couple minutes yet before we wrap this up, we can throw throw up that picture and just gleaming with joy. Maybe they can always be our sign off to the no practice block as there's a picture of that. Yes. Love it. Adam Bauer smiling ear to your no, that was all that was cool. Like the other thing, you know, you know, the test passes are one thing, but just getting pullers there that I before and you know, one thing we did with these events, too, that was different was we try to stage every single person before the poll started. I know that's not realistic everywhere you go. But I think there's something to that. Just everybody everybody in there. Look at that. There it is. Nothing speaks to the thrill of a first place like the facial expression right there. I tell you what. Yeah. Yeah. A lot of it. Well, I did just receive a text saying we missed a topic for this evening. And that topic would be the tire issue with Kevin Campbell. Chase, care to comment on that or do I need to call Kevin right now? I guess calm. I don't want to say anything that I'm not aware of. Okay. What was the tire issue? Guys, I seem to have misplaced his number. Somebody text somebody text me Kevin's number. I can't. I'm using my phone from a video. Chase text me Kevin's number. Kevin, if you're listening, I'm about to call. We want to hear it straight from the horse's mouth. Yeah, Adam, you got to fill this dead time here. Just tell us about tell us about your illegal tires. We need to know because I don't have illegal tires. Yeah. How do you how do you get illegal tires? I don't know. We got a we got to know. I heard this was a hot button issue. Uh oh. Legal. Here we go. Well, he didn't run Friday from what I see. Yeah. Come on, Kevin. Pick up. Hey, Kevin, it's Tyler. How you doing? Good. Good. We got you live here on you know, podcast. Uh, the people were texting me demanding that you get to tell your story of the quote unquote tire debacle questions, comments? Oh, I don't know. I mean, uh, everything was going fine right up until we were staged ready to pull. And then Marvin told me that we had a big problem and that the tires weren't legal to run. Tell us about the tires. What were there? Uh, there are a set of nickel tires. There are new many tires that they're working on bringing out. Okay, but those have been deemed legal in the past or just that brand, but not that mold or what's the backstory? Well, I guess like anything, it depends on who you talk to. Well, we're talking to Kevin. What's he think? Well, uh, I received the tires. Um, I ran the last year in Lumberton, at an NTP region event. Uh, another polar random and Michigan at uh, centerville. Okay. And we were under the impression and understanding that they were, uh, you know, approved illegal all ready to go. So, um, just wanted to put them on for Florida and, uh, try them out. Yeah. And to be quite honest, just not run our other tires and stuff, I wasn't sure what the dirt was going to be like. Sure. So, uh, somewhat being a bit cheap on that end, but, uh, nice. So, yeah, so we put them on and, um, yeah, this kind of how one down. So, uh, so we have to take them off. You were told in how close to pull time was it? Uh, ready to throw the first piece out of the introduction I would. Oh, so what was your move, Kevin? Did you just pull them off and comply? No, I took it to the trailer and left it there. Oh, so I didn't feel it was right to go back and then change the tires because if I did that, I felt like that's what we're going to sweep it under the rug and not deal with it. Oh, okay. So where did that go from there? Did that, did that move get any traction? Or, uh, yeah, I mean, they, they, they, like I said, they gave me the option to change them, but I didn't feel like that was the right move to, for me, um, from the manufacturer standpoint, you know, we do the same types of things and I just don't feel that, um, as a pulling manufacturer that I want to be, uh, doing those types of things and, and, uh, have to, if you'd say, uh, worry about us being the next victim of that type of thing, I think is a manufacturer or a fellow manufacturer, you gotta kind of stand your ground so to speak on those types of things. Okay, so really for, for a guy like Kevin, this was bigger than just tires. Oh, it is, it is. I mean, you'll know, next week it could be the, uh, the whim of some other thing, it could come down the line and I think it's just one of those things you gotta address these things as they come up. Did they, did they eventually address that then? Uh, yeah, um, Marvin came over and, um, looked at him after the pull and, and said that they were, uh, good to run for Saturday. Oh, okay, did that make you feel better or worse about that moment, Kevin? Hmm, I don't know. I've, I've discussed it at length with, uh, with the NTPA officials and, um, I don't know that it was done the way I hope it would be, but it was taken care of, I guess. Okay, and what way were you hoping for? Uh, well, there's a lot of it that I really wouldn't want to say out in the open. Okay, that's fair. Yeah. Yeah. You know, I'm not going to throw anybody, I guess I don't want to throw anybody out of the bus, but we would never want you to do that. Yeah, but realistically, uh, what it come down to is, is there's a procedure in a rulebook on how things get approved and also people that have already seen it through text services. That stuff was already met in my eyes. Okay. And the eyes were the manufacturer and that's why we thought like it was appropriate to be able to run them. Okay, that's, that's fair. I can see that. Yeah. All right. I wasn't, I wasn't super familiar, obviously. I saw something. Kevin, I, uh, I asked you this to you and Lindsay and your trailer, or just for everyone's context. These tires were they on your tractor when you went through text, text inspection. Uh, when we were tech, it was before we swat them. Okay. Yeah. They were, they were sitting behind the tractor-ready change. We just pulled out of the trailer and got tackled. Well, obviously, no one knows circumstances, but maybe this is something else that needs to be considered. Chase was Chase. Was that your gotcha question for Kevin? Are you telling him he screwed up there? Kevin and I are really good friends and I think Kevin and I say where we want to each other. Right, Kevin? Oh, absolutely. Yeah. I'm here. I can't hear. I mean, that is, that is exactly what happened. I mean, we, we ran past a lot of other tech officials. We were like to say, we ran them last year, other to said. And, um, they were, they were trying to read the lasers when you went bomb. Yeah. You see what he did there, Kevin? There's no writer wrong being this. I just, uh, who brought it up? All right. My gotcha question is where, where can I give a say of these Bob got mass producing these things or what? Sorry, it's a touch part to hear about it. As far as I know, they're, they're working on production, but obviously these, there was probably, I don't know exactly how many. There's several sets of tires. There was different trials of different ones and stuff. We've, we probably run three or four different sets of various times with varying degrees of success. And the last, you know, a couple sets we've tried have finally started to come around. And I don't know. It's, it's a, you know, a situation of any better, any worse type of deal as far as performance wise. It's just happened to be what we had on and what we run. We like all the different options. They seemed to all work well for us. You know, whether it's chastires or, when they usually run the old tires, stuff like that. It's all, all around. They do find for us. So we really have no issue. Kevin, you should never be de-cute for our safety show coming off your vehicle, right? Well, you know,
happened. What's your thoughts on that, Kevin? Did Chase get away with one there? Chase absolutely got away with one. Hey, I actually questioned about that. He didn't even know he ran over Zones. Oh, I said he didn't know how to run over it. Does that surprise you to hear, Kevin? Actually, it didn't surprise me one bit. I did. If I hit something. You know, the funny part is if you watch the video and at the other side of the tractor, it looks like it's flopping around like it was also loose. So you might want to tighten up that side also. Chase, have you considered tightening that up? That's why I dropped the hook. Or that's why I kept the hook. Sorry. Yeah. Yeah. He's still not totally certain if he dropped or kept the hook. So, you know, he's he's trying to dial in his focus for. I was laser focus on other things, Kevin. There's that. There's that laser focus reference again. So is Donald coming in or somebody going to take care of that? Or are we out of that? Chase? I think we're just going to we're going to tow the line on the safety shields at the in the track moving forward. But I agree 100% looking back on it and watching like that, I should have been disqualified. 100%. Man, this version of Chase, that could have been the first pass ever that got used the instant replay to bust your ass. Well, I mean, they said in the new rules that they could come back and do it. But I feel like there was a time frame that they have to do it inside of. So, I hope there's a press release tomorrow. Press release. Yeah. Yeah. Well, Kevin, we're glad to hear that your your tires ended up getting approved. Will you be running them this coming weekend down in Florida? Yeah, they're ready to go. They didn't even need sharp and that's where we're done. So ready to roll. Okay. That's good. Good deal. Well, all right. I hope that goes off smoothly and maybe do my boy chase a favor. If you can strut on over there with a couple of hand tools to make sure our old boy's side shields are tight. You just make sure they're on there. He had texted me that he said he was considering taking the same approach I did with my fenders. And he said clearly we don't need these side shields anyway. I'm just going to run without them to save weight. Why not? Which seemed weird. So Well, you would think he would actually get Garrett in the thing. I mean, it should be a pretty easy drive for him to run. Yeah. I don't want him to get de-cute. What do you think that guy would say if he got de-cute for a side shield fall off? Brother, what happened, brother? I got chase. I think we need Garrett in the mini and the light mob. Yeah. Yeah. If this goes wrong, we'll give him his podcast. What's that chase? I said, hopefully, if all this goes well and we don't fuck up too much, screw up too much, you can give him his podcast and all bets are on. There we go. That'd be nice. Ten amp bombs in. We're finally cutting your down. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. We're really watching our language. All right. Well, Kevin, best of luck. Keep an eye on our boy chase next weekend. Thank you for having me. Yeah. Thank you. Any words for talent? I Adam Ezorid, home watching and commentating. What was that chase? Oh, Chase is wondering if you have any words for Adam and I sitting on our butts at home just watching. I think Chase is disappointed in us, Kevin, that we're not there. That's what's going on. No, no, no, no. I just hope that maybe tomorrow since Chase has got some time that he'd get Lindsay's tractor out and start tearing it down for us. So we wouldn't get there. It's ready to go. But yeah, Chase, you couldn't hear him, but Chase said he would do that. He said he said he said he said he said he said tear it down and not put it back together. Well, yeah. That's fine. The part of the park here anyway. Yeah. All right, Kevin. I'll send video. Yeah. Thanks for joining us, man. Safe travels coming down. Thanks. All right. See you. Bye. All right. Well, there you have it. Tire, tire gate 26. Yeah. Oh, shout out to RJ Simon. Also send him the Covans number there. Yeah. Oh, Dave Lacey said, tell Chase, it was a great idea giving the Canadians a fruit gift basket to take home for this weekend. I'm sure. Did you get the Canadian brothers and treble, Chase? Chase is shrugging, Dave. He's not exactly sure on the bottom. What did the basket of fruit contain? If you'd have been here, you'd know that. They got a long way to go. They should surely be able to eat all that fruit before they get across the border. Yeah, Dave, you got about a 30 hour trip home. You can polish off a couple of oranges in an apple on your commute. My goodness. What are you doing? Yeah. All right. So what do you all got the next couple of weeks? Somehow, somehow, somehow, some way this always goes two hours and 20 minutes plus. What's on your schedule next couple of weeks? Hopefully we're going to get Bruce's motor out. His engine block is still in the box. The crankshaft is still in the box. We got a lot of assembly to do. My motor, we've at least got the long block together. We kind of worked out of order and we actually put our spare together first. So hopefully we'll get Bruce's motor together. Bruce has got some work to do on his chassis. He's probably wishing I was over there right now. He's probably watching this show as he's on his old Welles index mill trying to make a seat bracket out of scrap taking three hours. Carving something out of some garbage material instead of ordering a nice precision laser bracket. I'm sure the boys at modern would be very impressed and proud. We could have done this on Thursday, tell. Yeah. Yeah. Well, no. Bruce was a big proponent. Proponent Wednesday is podcast day, not Thursday. And what you got going on your way? So I got the Mid-America truck show. I have to go to next Sunday to load in for a show that starts on Thursday. Oh, really? To be clear, you're not pulling just displaying as the Mid-America truck show is happening, but mini rods will not be part of the actual truck contractor pulls. Isn't that right, Adam? Yeah, you just come and get a calendar in the Shell Road, Telibuth. They go through a lot of them. Yeah. Outside of that, let's see here. We were supposed to go camping this weekend with our friends, but Jamie's not going to get home to late and our kids have not been sleeping the greatest and loading the motor home up to go for a day and a half probably isn't going to happen. So we'll probably go down, we'll probably go down the Harmony State Park here. It's a beautiful campground about 30 minutes away and hang out with some of our friends and work, work, work, dude. Jamie's not home right now. So I've been hitting it pretty hard trying to get cylinder heads made and got a bunch of engines to rebuild yet. I'm well, well, overwhelmed kind of with the amount of stuff I'm working on right now. So that's taken priority. That and the kids, you know, wife and kids. Absolutely. Time for them is a can. That a boy. This has been a unique, unforgettable show. The segment on what you tell a rookie driver. I can't wait to you. I was at here in a couple of days with Garrett and let's keep our fingers crossed. This goes well. We have a new pulling junky on our hands and have a good night here in Sassuma. So two weeks from now, I think it's the first Wednesday and April. We'll be coming back. Another weekend of pulling here. Full pull live. You're in the Florida area. You're in shitty weather, flat or land, oh, come up, watch us this weekend. What time's the pull start? I need to know this. 6.30 both nights. Okay. How long's the track going to be? Infinite. Whoa. That's so long. There's plenty of runoff here. So okay, no, no foreseeable pull off situation or insurance situation. I want to call the insurance situation more than pull off situation here. All right. I mean, I don't know. I was looking at results while we were talking earlier. And there was, I mean, I'm looking at Saturday's results and you got your winner at 324, 2nd 323, 332, you got your winner and the, uh, innings was 332, 2nd 326, 332, 6. So I mean, there was a lot of distances over 320. You said there was just like one earlier. There was quite a few. So I feel like, I feel like that can be scurried that rule a little bit, you know, and just kind of, yeah, I was going to know what year we're running either in the new year or in. So just take it and take it with the grand salt. Well, see, I just, say, there's, there's an interesting concept. If the track's really short, it requires a different gear than the ones that are really long. Yeah. I don't know what's the difference in short long is, like in your mind is 320 to 330, much different. I like, I think it's in 20 feet, increments, right? I'd say from the three, three 10 range to 350, there's definitely a gear ratio change in the old track. I would look at it in 20 feet increments, probably. 330 to 340 or 320, I think you're in the same gear. Okay. So you guys are saying if you're pulling further, you're speeding your gear up because you got to have more ground speed. I mean, my best finish in the last two years is like 11th place. So I would really listen to what I say. Chase, you won the light mods on Saturday. Oh, I'm, we're talking about pulling. Oh, okay. Okay.
How many gear ratios do you have in a mod? One, he do. Come on. How many ruins do you have? Huh. Yeah. Oh, well, I'm asking you. Hell, I don't know. I mean, it's just a, it means we're in, we're in pool. And so how are you motivated? You want to be, you can get, you can get really creative with those things. So. Love it. I, I, I, I'm not, I'm not trying to pick on you, Chase, but it did receive texts. You have confirmed there's no curfew at the venue of this coming weekend. I'll try, I'll work, when I leave here, I'm gonna go see if we can get a permit. That's my boy right there. All right, Chase, next time you come on the show, I feel like you can't be humble apologetic Chase because I feel like this is the first show in the history of the show where your character was flipped and it just didn't feel right. So we need, you know what I love about you too? You all are bad asses when you're at home on your freaking laptops and computers, telling everybody what they're doing. And just trying to help them. No, I'm not at home. No, I look, no, I say it was a compliment. I said, I think you are awesome. I think we should keep it that way. And when, when, when Chase says, hey, be critical of things, it was easy pickings brother. And, and, and all, and all seriousness though, I feel like I'd be critical that is not a Facebook post that is us in our our. I knew it was good. I didn't. Did I say anything? I didn't say? I was only at Facebook posts. I just said I said it to you three. All right. In all seriousness, I called Chase and I said putting on a pull has got to be incredibly difficult. And you can almost draw comparisons from running a pulling tractor where you're not always going to hit it right. But like I said earlier, you step back. You make adjustments. You improve and then you go kick ass and saturday night. This is what I love about this podcast and our friendships. Tyler called me said man, keep your head up. It's all going to be good. Sit me in text. And then Adam. I went in text Adam either. We don't have that type of relationship. But everyone in the world saying, did you see what Adam did on Facebook? I'm like, it's okay. I'll talk to him next Wednesday. So I love everybody gives. I'm going to say this from what I've heard. I love you. I love you brother. I hear that the hospitality was phenomenal. Yeah. Like, like that side of it, you got that ship. Corrected. Well, I even said to you, Chase. I was like, that email you sent out. That was phenomenal. That was tip top. I didn't see that though. But thank you. Well, you delegated the proper people. I did. I feel like we're almost getting into after show discussions. I hear this shit. Yeah, this is this is what this show looks like once you do it. Did chat GTP do it or what? I don't know. Chase has email people. All right. They type the emails for very professional. All right. I can never shit hits the wire this weekend. Tyler, I look forward to your call. Adam, I look forward to hear what people say you put on Facebook. I'll see you in a couple of weeks. I got you. Tune in this week. Please be forward. Woo. See you soon. Thank you. See you. See you. That's a wrap. Bye. We hope you enjoyed this episode of the No Practice Podcast. Have a good one. Bye.
