The episode explores three deeply disturbing real-life stories rooted in abuse, manipulation, and the dangers of unchecked online interactions. The first is a harrowing account of a woman discovering her partner’s coworkers joking about violently harming her—including drug use, medical procedures, and feeding her to pigs—leading her to leave, report the messages, and secure charges for assault by threat. The second story involves a viral Reddit post titled "I killed my boyfriend with his own drugs," which turns out to be a hoax, but still prompts real police and FBI investigations due to its specificity and doxing. The final story centers on a grieving daughter who questions her father’s reported murder-suicide, uncovering a troubling pattern: the suspect, Billy, has a history of killing three women, including one who recently died from organ failure after pleading for help. The daughter reveals inconsistencies in the timeline, phone records, and financial motives, suggesting a possible conspiracy. The episode emphasizes the importance of trusting one’s instincts, documenting red flags, seeking legal help, and challenging official narratives when something feels wrong. It also highlights how social media can amplify trauma and spark real investigations, even when stories appear fictional. Through these stories, the hosts underscore that abuse often begins subtly, and early recognition can save lives. The narratives serve as powerful reminders to prioritize safety, seek support, and never dismiss warning signs in relationships.
Okay. Are we ready? Yes. We are wrapping up the spooky season With the OG spooky with the OG He's woohoo Hi guys. Welcome back to another episode of two our takes. I'm Ogtha. Hi Morgan, you know, just in case you don't know we've got the claw Justin and Lauren brownie points for who knows what this is. You've become obsessed with them lately. Well, no I've always loved axolotels. It's just that nobody seems to know about them And I think it's so crazy because they could literally change humanity It one day like the whole world could change because of axolotels and the research that they're doing I absolutely love that That was motivational. Yeah, I like now. I'm like I need to learn more about axolotels I'm like what am I missing out on? Well, I could tell you you're like shut up Robin up. Yeah, give me a couple of quick facts. Well, the coolest thing is that they regrow not only their limbs but heart Eyes brain. That's crazy. Yeah, I feel like I've seen some research on them to like help humans regrow stuff It's like jellyfish. So that's what they're doing research on is to see if it can be replicated if it can be mimicked and There is a possibility within our lifetime that we see that and Obviously, we still don't know, but the fact that it's a possibility is so cool to me Would you live forever if you could? No Yeah, they make everything meaningless. Well, although I maybe I think I take a solid 200 But I would want to age from my 25 to like 40 I would like that to span 60 years. Would you ever start over or not? Yeah, you would start from like tomorrow you're going to preschool I'd start over from Senior year of high school. That's fair. I like that. So you know, it's cool about axolotls Is they actually stay in their juvenile state, which is also really interesting? See I just want to be an axolotls Yeah, they're so cool. The only thing in life that matters is the claw Okay To a story five or whatever the last one that just came out was actually so good it was insane It was like so good. I cried again. I love bulls eyes so much But let's get into today's episode because it's been a crazy month already We had a unexplainable stories episode with Damien who was our healthy skeptic I hope to get him back for more relationship type drama because he's so good and Then we had a true crime Crimes from reddit episode with Angela and Amanda that would be last week and then we have this So this is going to be nightmare fuel 2.0 These are stories that are some real stories relationship drama that again feel like Crimes where you're just like holy crap How is that happening in that person's real life? And then we're going to close it off with some spooky paranormal the woo-woo vibes So depending on what you want Choose your own you know little path your adventure and you can stay for the real stuff at the beginning Or just skip to the end and get to the woo-woo if you really want to get spooky You know cuz then I'm like yeah some people are skeptics and they're like I'm gonna get out of here with the woo-woo and I'm like that's that's fine I like to be a little scared around the Halloween season. I think we're okay It's so funny. I've seen so many people commonly and they're like great job Stork picking stories. I'm like it is such a team after now. It's so so so fun. So keep sending us stories I love when you guys send stories you see and get excited about But if you again want more spooky after this if this spooky season wasn't enough The three of us are tackling a patreon episode of the same vibe real and paranormal so head on over to patreon I think that's it any other updates. It's kind of an in between. Yeah, it's you know It still feels like fall so the pumpkins that don't have faces on them might stay. Okay, but other than that I'm like it's not very it's an in between. It is it's not spooky. No, and it's not holiday What would the song sound like leaves and wind? You would find a way so this first story. I have this is a bit of a Heavy one. It is true crime feeling. So just take that into consideration. Okay, trigger warning for this first one It does contain discussions of Abuse domestic violence can spear see to harm someone. So please listen with care and if you can't skip ahead. Thank you It is coming from our slash true off my chest again a subreddit that is meant for just sharing anything But it is real. It's titled my boyfriend's co-workers joked about killing me in their work chat Yeah, no Nope My boyfriend and I got into a fight about his job yet again I noticed he was texting a lot after the fight. So once he went to sleep, I went through his phone I saw the first few texts of them calling me names and saying I'm self sabotaging things But then it turned dark One co-worker said he should roofie me so I just sleep and leave him alone The next one said she knows how to place a catheter a feeding tube and an IV so they could knock me out and not kill me But then her next text made my heart stop. She said they could just chloro for me Pull all my teeth out and feed me to pigs so nothing was left The next co-worker said her grandparents do have a pig farm my boyfriend said quote laughing my ass off No, that's great and of course they all immediately said they were all joking I packed quickly and quietly grabbed my daughter and I laughed now my entire life as I knew it is over I feel like I'm overreacting I know the police can't actually do anything So I can't even report it because they never said my name or anything like that. I'm just scared and sad This is awful. I'll be attaching the pics to my profile if anyone wants to see the actual messages I'm mortified. I actually feel sick to my stomach. It's all we got. That's it. That's the original post Wow. Yeah, so unfortunately at this point the pictures have been deleted so that That's the original post of the text the pictures, so okay, yeah You know if I were to see something like this in any relationship not not like you and I but a friendship or any sort You know, I feel like okay, I know these people they're not actually gonna kill me even though This is really bizarre and taking away too far, but what it makes me feel like is okay everyone
going around me dislikes me. So why am I even a part of this circle at all? - Yeah. - And then, you know, we can go further to say any threat is should be considered real in today's times, because, you don't know, because-- - People are like sick. - Look at all the true time happening right now. - People are like, what? - You're like, I don't know. So it's very hard to just dismiss it. But at the least, I would feel like, why am I even a part of this group? If nobody likes me. - Well, and this is your partner. Like, what is your partner telling to these coworkers that would have them start insinuating about ways to knock you out, drug you, assault you, murder you? Like, yeah, I then started going down the rabbit hole. I'm like, she said, I don't have enough to go to the police. And it's like, I would at least want to go and like make a paper trail. - But I don't, I don't like it. - I know some people are like, they're not going to do anything to be unhelpful. I would at least then be like, okay, well, I'm documenting that I was here. So if anything happens to me, like, that's on you. And I don't even know if that's the right way to go about it. But like, I then was like, would this qualify as conspiracy to commit murder? And I was looking up California penal codes and I don't know where she is. But based on California penal codes and talking to a lawyer friend, they didn't actually take any steps. Like, they made this plan, but no one in the party took any steps. So I don't even think you could get them charged with conspiracy to commit murder. - I don't even, but for me, like I just think that having it down on record will give me peace of mind because a lot of it happens. - Yeah, and a lot of stocking cases, it takes a lot of recording each attempt. - Yeah. - And so I just think that it's better to be safe than sorry because it just gives you more peace of mind is all I think. I don't think that those go forward and press charges or whatever, but I do think she should give that to the police. - I am. - So she, the drugging, like that's insane. - It's almost like, if they would have said the big thing only, it's so far fetched that maybe that would be looked at as like a little bit more, but the way that they start with the drugging. - Roofy hair. - So she leaves you alone. - That's too real and that's too creepy. - Too specific. - And it's so messed up. And like you said, it's also assault. They're also talking about, like they said the catheter. And like that's, now it's just all of it is so not funny. That, I don't know, this is something. - I don't know, like when someone gets upset and they're like, oh, I'm gonna kill her. I'm gonna kill him like, when you know that though I feel like. - But people do that. You see that in shows and movies and everything. It's like, oh, like it's not real. These are very specific. - No, not the cops. - I'm gonna kill him. - We should do this and then we'll do. - And then the one person trying to mean, my uncle's got a pig farm. - No, it's so creepy. - No one in this chat is like, whoa, whoa, whoa, guys. Okay, let's take it easy. Like they're all just feeding off each other. - They always do this, like is this just their thing? - I don't know, but again, it's like, what is he saying to them? - And you have a daughter. So you instantly go into protection mode? - Yeah. - I would do the same. I think you think a lot differently when you have a child in something like this and you would without, it's like you go hyper protect. - Well, and she did. She saw these text messages and she's like, I'm out, grab the kid and she fucking left. Like just amazing, like amazing. Honestly, this is one of those things where I don't think it had matter how good of the relationship was. I honestly think that I would dip. But it would also be so disturbing in my brain to think that they were giving a colorful idea of a gruesome way of my death. And so he's visualizing it. He's visualizing each of those steps of my body being torn apart. And he laughed. - Laughing my ass off. - No, that's great. - That's great. That I couldn't, I don't think I'd be able to look at him again. I would just be like, you're sick. You're not touching me ever again. - No, yeah, I would shut her at every touch. I like, even if he's done, he's done. And he'd probably be like, well, I don't know. They were just being weird. And so I was just trying to like, don't, I don't want to date someone like that. Nope, you know, you should stand up for me. You should absolutely stand up for me. And if you can't stand up for me, you're a weak person. And I don't want to be with you. - Yeah. - You little bitch. - Yeah. - The comments are rightfully as concerned, angry as us sitting here. One of the comments said, even if they don't mention you by name, I would go to the police because they are speaking about killing someone. Next comment, I don't even think killing is the word for this shit. The things they described were so grotesque, intricate and disturbing. Another comment, you may not be able to get legal help, but you could at least drop into your local police station and just make note of these messages. It may not go anywhere, but none of that was a joke. Ensure they are blocked everywhere. You made a good choice in leaving. If you left anything behind, request the police assist in a civil capacity to help you get anything you left. - Agreed. - And OP does respond, I did. I got all the screenshots sent to me and have sent them to other people so they are safe. - Yeah, that's good. - OP does have an edit on the original post. Edit, I have actually talked with him after unblocking him. I didn't tell him anything, but he claims it was a joke. No one actually threatened me. They were all just venting and I'm overreacting like always. - Oh. - And he isn't going to argue with the voices in my head. Still not going back, but I'm letting him incriminate himself more. He also claims I was never supposed to see the messages anyways. Those messages are his safe place and I ruined that for him. (laughs) What is wrong with this creature? What? Psychopath? - Yeah, like that was my safe space. Talking about killing you with my colleagues from work was my safe space. Pulling out your teeth and dropping you in a pig pen was my safe space. How dare you take that from me? Now it's tainted, now it's from I go there, I think about you, be mad, you suck. You're overreacting. - Now I want to give feed you the pigs twice. I picture it twice. - Yeah, you guys, you know what we joked about feeding her to the pigs? Well, now. Just say, what a loser, what a loser. - You've gone with you. - Oh my God. - A sick, twisted, deranged loser. I genuinely concerned. It's so deranged and you just like, you know how you just start to feel so crazy? You can't help but laugh because you're like, this is so absolutely insane. But the reality is there's a man Caleb Flynn just convicted for killing his wife, making his kids motherless. So he could be with his mistress. And you have all of this stuff going on. And it's like, divorce is an option. Like, I'm literally going to, when I get back into your crime, like I'm gonna have a subseries. That's like, hey, divorce is an option. Like what? What was your fucking problem? Because it's like, people are so deranged. We're like, oh, this starts as a joke. Him and his mistress were in their text messages being like, all killer for you. And the mistress is like, I want her dead. It's not funny. It goes from that joke to you have now kids without a mom and someone got killed. Like, this isn't funny. And his rebuttal, like you're overreacting like always. - Terrifying. I really thought he was gonna be like, oh my God, I'm mortified. - I honestly. - We're just shame. - Yeah, I thought he was gonna be like, I was so uncomfortable by what they were saying. And I just like, I froze and just laughed, but I was incredibly freaked out and mortified. And I feel horrible that you saw that 'cause I felt sick to my stomach reading it. I thought he was gonna like, actually pull out like the normal human stops. But he was like, nope, I'm psychobath. - And back to my safe space. Like, come on. - Yeah. - You did something wrong. You did. - My safe space. - But no, I do think that this is a good moment to say too 'cause you brought up like having the police come. That is something that I think people should take so seriously because that is such a dangerous window that people overlook. But when you're moving out and those heightened emotions, it's like, it always makes more sense to have someone there. Even if you've been married to this person, if you trust this person, if you have kids with somebody, like do everything, don't go back, send family, bring police, whatever you have to do, or just leave your shit. - Yeah. - Because your shit is replaceable. It's expensive and whatever, but your life is worth so much more. And it, on average, takes people seven attempts to leave an abusive relationship. Seven. And a lot of times they don't have the resources to do so. Or they're fearful of what happens to kids or pets. It's absolutely so sad. And I'll make sure resources are in the description of this episode for anyone that might need it. But sometimes the safest way to leave is to do it quietly when they're at work and you don't say anything and you just go, but the resources will be linked. And there's way better advocates and people out there than anything that we can say. So it's not up to seven, it's an average of seven. So many of those are way more. - You know, it's hard. It's so incredibly hard and scary and tragic. So just be safe. And everyone deserves to be happy and healthy and loved. And this OP got out and it's just, it's so, it's so good. And we do, you guys, we do get an update. - Okay, there we go. - Let's do it. - We get an update. First, I never expected my post to take off and I'm really appreciative of all the advice and support it really helped. Here's my update. My daughter and I are safe. We left that night and got to our safe spot and haven't looked back. I didn't realize just how bad the mental and emotional.
abuse was until it was pointed out in a lot of the comments. I really appreciate that. I did report it to the police. I was able to gather enough proof that they were talking about me and they decided to charge them with assault by threat. Oh, hell yeah. Which won't keep them in jail for long, but long enough to maybe scare them into leaving me alone. That's amazing. Doesn't say not in jail at all. That's crazy. That's good. The three of them did lose their jobs. While it was a local owned business, I didn't realize it was a franchise. I reported all of the messages to corporate as well as some more that I found about shady things. So I don't have to worry about them messing with anyone's food after the awful things that they planned for me. I'm working on filing for full custody of my daughter. I did meet with an attorney for a consultation and got some sound advice on what to do until I can actually file and get the ball rolling. My ex has been blowing up my phone, rotating between begging me to come back and then attacking me about ruining his life over a joke and calling me every name under the sun. I did find out the coworker in the chat wasn't the only girl he was sleeping with. Oh, that was just a bomb that was dropped. Do we know that? No, that's the first. Okay. Wow. Nope. My friend went and packed up the rest of my stuff and grabbed one of his old phones by mistake. His Apple ID and most things were still logged in when I powered it on multiple dating apps and profiles, thousands of messages between him and different women. He slept with a lot of them, but OP ruined it all. That is OP took everything away. That's a scary scary bird. That's why you take those those moments when you find something very serious because there's a good chance that there's a lot hiding under that hood iceberg whatever analogy. No protection or birth control either since apparently one of the girls was pregnant. Wow. Great. This is. Yeah. This is great. Lots of lies from him about being at work when he wasn't and lots of lies about times he worked and things like that. It went back to at least November of last year. So who knows how long that's really been going on. So yes, my life is all flipped upside down and I'm obviously heartbroken and angry, but my daughter and I will be okay. And I'm okay with that. We aren't ever going back and I'm just ready to move on. Get settled again and also get every STD test available. Thank you to everyone who offered support and massaged me. I really do appreciate all of it. I might post an update once everything is truly settled, but for now this is it. That is a sick, sick man. And I think it goes to show that you really got to recognize and realize that red flags can be just cracks that are, you know, opening into something a lot bigger, revealing something a lot bigger that's going on. So trust your gut and make the right decision at the right time like you did. And then you can figure all this out later and then look, aren't you thankfully made the decision to leave? Like it just wow. I know. You only know what you know. I mean, we talk about this so much in stories where people get married, then get pregnant, have a baby and all of a sudden their partner switches. You only know what you know in that moment. You can only act as the information presents itself. This post is now two years old. OP has since deleted their account. We don't have any updates beyond our last one, but I know she's out there living her best life. And hey, maybe this comes across her page and we get another update soon, but very happy for her and how she left us. Yeah. And I also just think too, like what Justin was saying, when people are abusive, right, they don't enter the first date saying the things that they're going to say to you on year two, right? Like absolutely. So I think it is really good for us to take it seriously when those little comments I had somebody that was on, went on a first date. And then the guy met was messaging her and she was like, I don't understand. And he says like, WTF, how do you not get it? Like just like really, and like that's early on. Yeah. And you're already showing these colors. And I think that those type of moments are good for us to clock and to not necessarily make excuses for. And of course, there's, we don't want to be super harsh, like, you know, people are people, but there's some things where you can kind of feel it and you're gut and you're just like, that doesn't feel right. And just to give more trust into that, because it is really, once you fall in love with somebody and you're so intertwined, it's, it's incredibly hard to leave, even though you know that it's really abusive and not healthy, but you love them. So I liked what you had to say is all I'm trying to say. Again, those resources will be in the description. If you need them, please use them and sending you all so much love if you do trigger warning on this next one, friends. It does contain discussions of murder and a drug overdose. So if you can't handle that today, please skip ahead. So this is coming from the craziest subreddit. It's our/advice animals. This is perfect for us. Yeah. Salamanders. Yeah, you would think this is reddits goldmine. That's axolotels. This is just a subreddit where they share anything and everything under the sun. It is a lot of memes I will say. Okay. I think I'd like this one. Okay. So the post that was shared on our/advice animals is titled finally have the guts to say it. And they share a meme of the honest bear, I think is what it was going around being called. And it's titled my sister had an abusive, meth addict boyfriend. I killed him with his own drugs while he was unconscious. And they ruled it as an overdose. Holy. What? Oh. What? That is the entirety of the post. The top comment. The funny thing is that if he gets caught, they'll use confession bear as evidence. Yeah, that is pretty crazy. Next comment. The moment when a lawyer introduces exhibit a known to the internet community as confession bear laws. That's what I'm picturing like going up into a courtroom and having that picture. It's like on an easel. Yeah. Yeah. So this created such a story. I mean, this person is admitting to murder. Yeah. Yeah. If what they're confessing on that's confession bear is true. And there's a comment here. You should do an AMA at your local police station, but they cross out local police station and then add on Reddit. Next comment. Please include your physical appearance and address. Yeah. OP does come back and comment. First and only comment to be made here by me. I posted this wondering what would happen. There is some truth behind it. But I'm not saying what was true and what wasn't. If I had a dollar for every time someone took me seriously on the internet, I would be able to retire from two day alone. That sounds like you need to stop commenting on the internet. I'm sorry to anyone that I've offended to the point of ruining their lives to everyone else. Get fucked. It's the damn internet. All cops. If you want to catch a murderer, get out of your house, put on some fucking tights and go fight crime. I'm quite done with Reddit for tonight. Back to the shadows of lurking. The world isn't quite ready for me. Oh, this is like the guy from the last story. Reddit, the reason for this post and the admittance, it was a joke is because people started posting my own personal information on there. Not shit. That was in my post history. Sure, you can find out information about me, but linking me to something that happened is completely different. I made a meme about something and it was turned into people revealing my personal information. All cops. It was quite rude and very uncalled for. Again, it feels too specific to just put on the confession bear. Yeah, bro. What? Sorry, sorry, Justin, you go ahead. No, I mean, it's just, it's too specific. Who the fuck would say something like that on confession bear? And just be like, oh, I got something I made up. Also, if it's a joke, it's supposed to be funny. We're supposed to laugh. Ha ha, it's not funny. Like what? How the, the audacity for him to turn around and be like, are you guys okay? Like what, what do you mean? Like go put on some fucking tights to go fight crime? Creating an animal. You, you're insane. Okay, Dexter. Yeah, it's just what are you going to do that has an impact on the whole world? So in real life, the police start getting involved. Yeah, of course. And the FBI. Good. Like people basically found out his information and a lot of people are joking. Like, I hope you're posting this on a VPN from an IP far far away. Like, but people clearly found him found his real information. And it's also something that could so likely happen. Yeah. I'm actually more annoyed that this guy is like taking a back by us. Like, yeah, nobody, like you're nuts. If you say stuff like that, you're going to cause a stir potentially a murderer and now backtracking because people doxed you. Well, that's why I'm like, we don't even know that you You were not a murderer. - Yeah. So the police and the FBI.
FBI do get involved. I have a quote here from an article, the San Diego police department is picking up where users of the popular website reddit.com left off working to confirm if indeed a murder actually took place. And if so, who is responsible said police spokesperson lieutenant Kevin mayor quote, this may be a hoax and it may be real said mayor. We received a tip and our cold case unit is investigating it like any other tip. It may be a hoax, but it's always a good idea to report this kind of information. Sometimes it's the one thing that breaks open a case. The confession came in an unlikely place, a caption on a photograph of a bear. Reddit users typically admit to innocuous mistakes or misdeeds adding text to the bear picture to create a meme called confession bear users believe the clues point to a 24 year old San Diego man and have posted his name and photograph online. Police said there are currently no suspects because they do not even know if a crime has taken place and therefore won't name anyone as the subject of an investigation. That's it. FBI then gets involved. FBI has now been contacted about a possible murder after redditors reported the posting to FBI's tip website quote, at least one user copy/pasted what was in the deleted comment in two tips. FBI.gov user 0818 said if his personal information links to somebody whose sister did have a boyfriend who overdosed, it is likely that an investigation will ensue. Yeah. And that is all we have. Yeah. For now or you know, has not been solved yet. Wow. Has not been solved yet. I mean, this post is incredibly old at this point. It is 14 years old. Oh, so we have no updates as of yet. But then again, just like the first story, how is this stuff going through your mind? How do you just come up with this? Oh, I've got an idea for the confession bear. I'll put this on there. When it doesn't have any truth to it, it just feels, again, it feels too specific. Yeah. I know. It does kind of remind me, though, of I thought of the breaking bad scene. I could, I watched the first, I think one or two seasons of breaking bad and then it just got too happy. This was after you started to know what scene we're talking about. Regardless, probably don't admit to things online. If you didn't do them and if you did do it, then, okay, I hope you get caught. Yeah. And I love how you're being so smart ass after like, oh, yeah, well, I just do this on the internet all the time. I'll be lurking like, you're not ready. So you're not very good at it. This horrible person. But okay, moving along to this next one. This episode is brought to you by Schemes. At this stage of my life, I'm focused on sleep. How much I'm getting. Trigger warning for this one does contain talks of murder and suicide. So please skip if you can't handle that today. So this next one is coming from a subreddit called our slash RBI. It is the Reddit Bureau of investigation using the power of the internet to solve real world problems. And it is a very intense subreddit. It has a lot of people sharing personal stories about cold cases or this and that, and please help solve it. And so this person came to the sub asking for help. This one is actually coming from the user slash dad might not be a murderer. And it is titled my dad might not be responsible for a murder slash suicide from 2015. Bear with me as a recount this to the best of my ability. I have to remain somewhat vague in some of the details in order to protect my anonymity. However, I will do my best to be as clear as possible about the series of events. Okay, few. In September of 2015, my dad's girlfriend Sherry started an affair with one of his friends, Billy. Billy and my dad had been friends since high school and I knew him well. He was nerdy and kind of weird, but he was nice enough. My dad, not surprisingly, was pretty upset about the affair, but he and Sherry were already having relationship issues. And I think he was happy to find a reason to leave her officially. I know he had had a few relatively cordial run-ins with Sherry and Billy as they all lived in the same town, but he had mostly cut them both off entirely. During this time, Sherry moved to a new house only a few streets from my dad. By Thanksgiving of 2015, my dad was roughing it a little. I think he was still kind of bummed about the affair, but he had also recently been in a car accident resulting in him losing his job due to a back injury. So additionally, he was having some money issues pending a lawsuit settlement that he was waiting on. By December, he was back on the mend and in pretty good spirits. We were very close and spent a lot of time together hanging out or going to bars and concerts. At the beginning of December, at 8 a.m., my dad called me at work. We only spoke for about 10 minutes, but he was in a great mood. We had some laughs and made plans to hang out for the weekend. He mentioned, very briefly, that Sherry had called him about an hour earlier, but he ignored the call. I barely even remember him saying it. I got home from work that night and my phone rang. It was a family friend calling to tell me that my dad was dead, but she didn't have any other details. I was totally shocked. I had no idea what was going on, and I was in instant denial because all caps we just made plans. I had a million things running through my head, car accident, heart attack, etc. A few moments later, my dad's two brothers and my grandmother knock on my door. It was true and my dad was dead. However, the biggest shock was that Sherry was also dead, a murder suicide. I could hardly believe what I was hearing. To add insult to injury, Billy was the one who found their bodies at Sherry's house and was currently being interviewed by police. I took a call from one of the investigators on the scene. He mentioned that I was a cut and dry case. Two adults deceased, each with a gunshot wound to their head, my dad was still clutching the gun. My dad was a hunter, so I was curious about the murder weapon. To my surprise, it was a small gauge handgun, but it wasn't my dad. It was Sherry's, odd, but okay. During this call, parentheses, and I will never understand why he found these details necessary, but he told me that my dad and Sherry had consensual sex prior to their deaths. He also told me that there was a gap in time between the deaths. That likely my dad had killed Sherry had instant regret, faced and considered his options and then ultimately decided to also kill himself. As I'm listening to this, I just cannot wrap my mind around any of it because it was just so out of character for my dad. And not in a, I don't believe my dad could do something like this kind of way, like a real sincere confusion. First off, he wasn't even that depressed about the affair. He had already been split up for three months at this point, and he was seemingly pretty happy in the wake of it all. Secondly, as I mentioned before, Sherry was living in a new house. My dad didn't know this house at all, so why slash how would he have ended up with her gun in her house? He had his own guns. Thirdly, I knew that she had called him that morning and he ignored her call. It doesn't feel like someone desperate to kill another person would pass up an opportunity for an interaction with that person. None of it made sense, but I had to come to terms with the information I was given and to trust that the police department knew what they were doing, not to mention, out of funeral to plan and some deep grieving to do a few days later, I made the trip over to my dad's house to collect his belongings and settle his affairs. His house was shockingly fully on, like lights on TV on, catnot fed, morning coffee and weed still on the coffee table, back door unlocked, etc. It was like he raced out of the door really quick with full intentions of being right back. This was not the home of someone who left with the intention of never returning. I know mental illness can and will do strange things to people, but if nothing else, he would have never let his cat go hungry. Yet another red flag in my mind, but I continued forth. Eventually, I was given some of his belongings from the scene of the crime by police, and my boyfriend decided to go through his phone to see if there were any signs of what might have occurred. We found that after I spoke with him, he did end up answering a call from Sherry, which was around 11 seconds long. But we also found a slew of really weird text messages. None of the texts appeared to have been from my dad, because one, he had terrible grammar and, too, he didn't even know
how to text, I never received a text from my dad my entire life. He had a flip phone with T9 in 2015 for God's sakes. All caps. So many people reached out to me saying, "This doesn't feel right," and I agreed. I didn't feel like any of it felt right, but I had nothing of any real substance other than gut instinct to guide me, which is not enough when dealing with police or investigators. At one point, I literally had to ask people to just stop telling me that they thought this was somehow a setup because I couldn't do anything about it, and I was starting to lose sleep over it. I was scared to death of turning into one of those people who obsess over something out of sheer denial. No one was going to take my plate seriously, and I already knew that I would be overlooked and disregarded. So, for the last five years, I've done nothing but stress and silence. Until now. This past Friday, I took a call from someone very close to my dad's friend group, urging me to push harder into reopening my dad's case. Recently, it has come to light that Billy is apparently a master con artist and a fraud. I guess Sherry is one of three girlfriends that Billy has found dead since 2010. Oh hell no. Isn't that being tracked and recorded? Like, don't on the third time when they bring him into question him, aren't they like, yo, what is this? Dude, there's a there's a new doc that just dropped on Netflix that this guy had six wives and the five of them were dead, five out of six. So I haven't watched it yet. We'll report back, but like, is it like different area codes? So they don't, they don't like connect? I like, I just wouldn't that be on file? Is it not on file? This is where I need your help Reddit. Here's the information I was given. At some point, prior to my dad and Sherry's death, Billy was dating a woman who had recently come into money shortly after this woman was found dead at the bottom of her stairs. Around the time that Billy started having his affair with Sherry, she had recently inherited between 500,000 and 800,000 from her father passing away. Wow, Billy's current girlfriend has had organ failure since last year. She recently inherited a large sum of money and Billy found her dead last Tuesday. Now, I know she was already sick, but the rumor is that she pleaded for medical help for days, and I guess he just basically let her suffer. Wow. I also found out that Billy took photos of my dad and Sherry's bodies before he bothered to call police. parentheses y he later showed these photos to his young daughter parentheses double y. He has also told the story of how he found their bodies numerous times to the same person. Yet the story has been told in three different ways. Of course. Did he take the photos as some sick trophy or did he take the photos to be able to maintain his narrative? Upon learning this information, I kept thinking, quote, but why would he have had to kill my dad in order to steal Sherry's money? And then it finally dawned on me today that it was so my dad could be the scapegoat. He had to use my dad to portray a crime of passion seen so he could pretend to be a victim in the whole thing. Even though he was interviewed by police, it was just an interview, not an interrogation. Wow. The investigator said it was a cut and dry scene. They would have had no motive to interrogate him because as far as they could tell the murderer was dead already. However, I do know there was about an hour in his timeline that day that went unaccounted for. Billy has a very high IQ. I don't think he would have been strong enough to fight my dad in hand-to-hand combat, but I very much believe he could have easily outsmarted him. My current conspiracy theory is that Billy went to Sherry's house that morning before work, had consensual sex with her, killed her, and then used her phone to call my dad, which was the 7am call. My dad didn't answer the call and the Billy went to work to maintain his story. I think Billy then used his lunch break, the unaccounted for hour, and also the almost identical time to my dad's death to go back to Sherry's house where he used her phone to call my dad again. This is the 11 second call that my dad did answer that caused him to race over to Sherry's house, leaving his house in the state I found it two days later. I think he tricked my dad into coming to Sherry's where he would then be caught off guard and out of his element for an attack. I also think this could be where the gap in their deaths could be. I think Billy went back to work for the rest of the day and then found my dad in Sherry, where he then took the photos and then called the police. Here is my problem. I have no idea what to do. I don't know how to reopen a closed case, I don't have any direction on who to speak with. I have tried the police department who handled my dad's case, the local FBI, and the state attorney general, and no one can even tell me who could help me with this. Do I need a private investigator? Do I need an attorney? Is this worth looking into at all? I would love to clear my dad's name and take this horrible weight off of my family's shoulders once and for all. I am also fully prepared to accept that I could be wrong, but now I have to know. Any help is greatly appreciated. I feel like I have to know. Yeah, there's no way you're wrong. No. I mean, it's oddly suspicious that Billy would have three girlfriends that have passed and he is always the one to find them or like he's also benefiting from their deaths every time. It's very, very strange. It is serial killer. Well, and the way the dad rushed out, like I can imagine a frantic call like, oh my god. So like, I need you over here. I need help. Or maybe he's said if you don't get here right now, like maybe he even threatened them. I don't know. He probably would have called the police. You never know. You never know. Right. People who are close to. And 11 second call is like nothing. People who are close to a victim will always know better than police who know nothing about these people. Yeah, of course, police are going to come in and it's like, oh, yeah, simple scene. There's 100,000 times. Easy done. But like everyone who's close to that person would be like, no, fucking way. That's not how this happened. Yeah. So 100% have to do something. I don't know what it is. I know red. It's going to have the answer. But my gut would be attorney. I need someone on my side. I need to be able to tell the story and get it to the right place because holy shit. Is it convincing? Yeah. And not just like you're trying to convince me, just matter of fact, convincing. Like you know your dad best. I think this Billy guy is probably very smart. It's it's weird to say, but it's orchestrated in a way where it was done where it's so like mysterious to where everyone else. Of course, you know what the cops are going to think. So it's like, you are the one person who can push this forward and potentially make something happen. And I think you would regret forever if you didn't at least try and like save lives too because clearly like this guy. Yeah, he's out there. He's out there. He's not stopping. So if it's not even for you, your family, your dad, it's like it's for the future of victims. And don't let him catch when that you're doing this. Oh, like in any sense, we're like talking about a very public podcast. So the story did do some some numbers. It did gain traction. 8.5 K upvotes on the RBI subreddit. But we don't know what details have been changed. Fake names obviously is Billy on Reddit. We don't know. So there's a chance, but it will note, I think this is what's so hard looking at a lot of true crime, horrible, horrible cases and victims and things that happen out there. I think this could be very like front of mind for a lot of people right now because obviously there's been a very public case Lindsey Clancy's trial. So I was thinking about too. And the internet has gone two polar ends of the spectrum on it. She's guilty, Patrick, the husband. Why aren't we looking at him? There was no investigation. And I think that's what's hard. It's like when you have something that to investigators, they walk in and it looks quote, cut and dry as OP said. And they just take it at the face value. There's not any digging that goes on further. So it's like the police said they had consensual sex earlier that morning. Well, did you test DNA? Like is it the same DNA? How do you know they had consensual sex? Where did the text messages or the text messages? Like that seems odd. Like there's so many oddities and inconsistencies here. And it's like I find it hard to believe that Sherry and OP's dad would be together. Then Sherry has an affair. She's now with Billy. I find it kind of confusing that Sherry would then have sex with him again. I don't think that would be the case. And so I'm just very confused. I'm like, was there any DNA tested? Or was it just no, it looks like they had sex and cut and dry. And even if they did and Billy came home and then freaked out because he discovered them. And then like sure, but where's the tracking on Billy's phone? Where was he? Yeah. These days, all the cases, your phone can pinpoint you more than you think you can. I mean, Google has your data down to the foot of where you are basically every minute of the day. Like it's insane. Ways has background tracking on you. Even your car. There's there's so many things. So it's like, is there any data? Was there anything pulled or was this just cut and dry? And I think that's what's frustrating. It's like, why not?
spend a little bit of resources, a little bit of time just covering your bases, just look at all the options. I know A might seem the most straightforward and plausible, but did we look at B and did we look at C? And if it's not going to cost a lot of resources and time and energy, why not look? And I feel like that's-- A simple DNA test? I feel like that's probably why that there's these cases that happen where it's like they just want it to be that way, because there's probably other cases that are more complicated that they're dealing with. And so when they see something that's like, oh, this is what it shows, let's just not go any further, because it is a lot of time and resources. Because now you have to try to prove that this guy did it. And that takes a lot of-- I don't know. I feel like that probably happens, which is sad to think. But if everything that OP said in this story is true, there's no doubt in my mind. If you heard what OP said and you were an investigator, would you not be like chomping at the bit, working outside of work hours just to figure this thing out? I feel like if I went into that field of work, I was passionate about it. I wouldn't be able to sleep until I started looking at where was he, where's the tracking, what is this? It would drive me insane. I do have questions, and I know we have investigators, police, that do listen with their partners or listen themselves. I've gotten messages on it in the past when we've talked about a story from an officer like, and his pregnant wife is really bad, but I know they're out there. And I'd be curious to know if you just become, I don't know, the burnout. I imagine with a job like that, the burnout is really severe. And I wonder if like your confirmation bias, where it's just like your bias, you've seen it. That's this again. I wonder if it's just like almost that, where it's just like, I've seen this before. This is how it was last time. So this is what it probably is this time. And then it's just, you know, maybe there aren't resources or who knows? I would be very curious. No different than us to write its stories. You get a little desensitized to like the poop and all this stuff. I also think that it's, um, OP was just presented these things as a fact. And I think that that's also why it was hard for OP to come in and be able to present all of what she knows because they were like, this is what happened as if it just was the truth. And so I think for OP, it's like she kind of had to come at it from behind because she's, she's like, this doesn't feel right, but everyone around me is just telling me that this is, this is a fact. It's so tough too. And it's like you went through this horrible situation of like your dad potentially did do this and you're grappling with that as well as the grief. And it's just like, to be in that situation, I can't even imagine the war and the utter like shock and turmoil, your body and brain and everything is in. Yeah. It's, it's insane. But OP does get a lot of comments, okay? So the top comment on the post with 1.6 K of votes is this. Your best bet here may be piggybacking on the current situation with the newly dead woman where $10,000 is missing. If I was a grieving or angry relative of the woman who died with organ failure who pleaded for help with $10,000 missing and you somehow made contact with me saying, quote, I'm so sorry to bother you, but there's something fishy about this man and I want to tell you more. Yeah. You bet your ass on your bottom dollar that I would track you down immediately to find out everything you could tell me. Ditto, likewise, if I'm an investigator and there is any kind of actual investigation whatsoever going on into billing now. Finally, in this new situation, I'm an investigator and you contact me saying you know something about this man and his history with women that you think might be relevant to this case and you want to be helpful, focus on helpful. Fuck yes, I'm going to call you piggybacking on to the current case. Use it to get law enforcement and investigators to listen to the information about your situation and for it to be reactivated or at least significantly looked into based on that law enforcement and investigators listen to other law enforcement and investigators. If someone from jurisdiction, XYZ, where the poor organ failure lady died, calls up the law enforcement in your area and says, hey, I need to ask you some questions. Let's look into this. They'll listen. I'm not saying that will be the open sesame to magically get all of your painful questions, finally answered and resolved only that it might be your best bet. This point in shoe horning your way back in your dad's closed case. The opportunity just fell right in your lap and someone notified you of it because this is what they want you to do. Do it. O.P. responds, you are exactly right. Why did I get chills? Yeah. It's very smart. Also, it's very John Tucker must die like that the gang together, bring him up. Yeah. That's what's amazing about Reddit. I mean, there's another case too. It's on this woman named Kathleen Peterson, very, very suspicious story. People still fall on opposite sides of it. But her husband was actually convicted of killing her, pushing her down a staircase. He was then let go by taking an Alfred plea, which is this weird legal loophole. So there's a whole story about it. It's called the staircase, but her body was like exhumed. And so if Billy has an ex that was found deceased at the bottom of a staircase, like this could open up a case and these people's bodies could be exhumed. Yeah. Yeah. It happens. So O.P. could, could get some answers. A lot of people just sharing their support of like a vote for intense story, holy shit. Something similar happened to a distant family member. Nothing could be done about it so far and it's been a few years. I hope your luck is better. O.P. responds, thanks. It's definitely been a roller coaster. I go through phases where I try to avoid thinking about it entirely. And then I go through phases where I obsess over it. The unfortunate thing about time passing with no answers is that I seem to find out more incriminating wild shit as the years go by. I feel for O.P. so much. I just imagining what O.P. has gone through with the obsessive thoughts and then trying to just convince herself that nope, like I just, I don't, when you don't know, it's like you almost want that closure. So then she has to go back to just be like, nope, that is what happened. And I'm sure it's just this painful loop that she's gone through for years. Yeah. It's insane. So we do get an edit from O.P. we actually get two edits here, edit. Some have asked how Billy would have been able to financially gain from any of these women considering he wasn't married to any of them. I do not know any intimate details of the woman who was found at the bottom of the stairs other than that she had recently come in a money and that he was the one who found her. I know her name or how he would have benefited from her monetarily dead or alive. However, even though there's no current confirmation of whether he did or didn't gain from her, she is still one of three women he has found dead. In regards to Sherry, she was never married and never having new children. So there was no one to account for her finances other than her. She was also a little flighty and I can see him being able to easily manipulate her or just flat out steal from her openly without her noticing right away. In regards to the most recent dead girlfriend, there is actual proof that he stole at least $10,000 from her leading up to her death. Yeah. And with that, you don't have to be married to put someone on your bank account. If he had access to the bank account and it was just Sherry and then she's gone, he's on the account. We don't know that I am an artist. So he'll figure out something and even if money wasn't involved, three people, three girlfriends. Yeah. It's not a coincidence. No. Yeah. Update two, after the recommendations of everyone, which by the way, thank you all, I've taken a few additional measures since yesterday. I have filed for a Freedom of Information Act regarding all documents that I'm able to obtain. And I've also reached out via email personally to the chief and deputy chief of the police department who handled the case. And that is all we got is all we have as long as that update. We're never going to know, are we? No, wait. So you guys, I just, I just found this. So Bailey put the screenshots in our doc for me. But these are not included at the bottom. I'm like, in OP's account right now. And this was not included. So no, I do have a little bit more. So OP does share that they've been working with police. There's some additional information on Sherry, Sherry and her brother, both inherited just shy of a million dollars each when their father died. Like again, more, more money, more, more probable cause. But OP does share their journalism major. They're very descriptive. I think people were like, this is fake and it's like, no, I'm a journalism major. OP got a lot of comments about I work out Netflix and things like that if people wanted to make a doc out of this. OP has updated as of 10 months ago and said, hi, it's me. So a few updates, but the most recent was about three years ago. I took some time off today is actually the 10th anniversary. And I think I might dive back into this at the beginning of the year, wow, which will be 2027. Wow. Let's go time. There are no updates since the last, but I'm going to see what else I can dig into. From what I see right now, I mean, there's, there's a lot of comments that OP's responding to people. I'm not seeing any major updates. Okay. So I will sleuth through them and if anything else needs to be added in, I'll repeat.
court it. I'll pop it into this episode and then give me a call and then yeah, tell me when I get home. A lot of people questioning the time of deaths, the corner and detective determined by the scene that they died at different times. Which again is really interesting. I think the one thing that stood out to me is the gun that was used was Sherry's. Right. How did Opie's dad even know Sherry had that gun? Well, that's a thing too. Like normally they're in a safe, maybe not, but they're concealed right? Like they're put somewhere where an intruder wouldn't be like, Oh, there's the gun right on the kitchen. Right. Right. Right. So it's like, so it's like even if it was between those two that my first thought was that like Sherry brought it out first and then they were struggling to, you know, like that was went up before we had all the extra contacts. I was like, well, why is it her gun? How did he know how to find it? Like, where did he? Yeah. And Opie does answer questions about like gunshot residue where they'll test the person's hand. They say my state does not test for it in the event of a suicide. In this case, especially the gun was literally in my dad's hand. Again, there was no gunshot residue to be like, was he the one that actually fired or was it just place there? I'm not sure if even scientifically if you fire a gun and then place it in someone's hand if they're still trace amounts, like that would then register. Again, no mention of DNA. You still know where it was. And even if he did know where it was, why would he run over to her place without and grab her? Yeah. That's what's weird to me. It's like, you're planning to do this. Typically, I mean, something like this seems like you'd plan why wouldn't you ensure you had a weapon and bring your own? Even if he didn't plan it, though, it's like, why was it out? You know, like that's why you find it. Yeah. Yeah. And it's like, okay, they had consensual sex, but then it turned into that. And he just casually found her gun in her new house. It's, it's fishy. It's, it's definitely fishy. O.P. is getting bombarded with I work for date line. I work for 2020. O.P. says here in like, in regards to people questioning me, I'm just a 33 year old woman from the Midwest, like looking for answers about what happened. I wouldn't make this up. Like, what do I have to gain from this? And honestly, the docs, like if you get to a point where people aren't listening to you and you're hitting another dead end, like it's going to close forever, I would go to the Netflix. I would go to the different docs because that opens, look at the firestorm that happens when these docs hit and everyone's talking about it. No, that gets some shit moving. I know, especially when it's that convincing. It could really put pressure to open the case again. I mean, I look at crime junkie and what Ashley and Britt have been able to do. They had a case they highlighted on their live show. And we're like, Hey, please reach out to this township. So they reopen this case. And I think because of that pressure, the case was reopened. I mean, it's, it's kind of twofold, like sometimes Reddit and like the internet sleuth can cause harm. There's a case with the Boston bombings where Reddit went a little too hard on someone they thought was the person involved. They were not. And that person did take their own life because of it. But that's why you just need to be so careful with how you engage with this and what you share and what content you make. And I hope OP gets answers. I am going to reach out and just OP could use some other resources. And I hope this story gets more traction. I know she's very vague and doesn't share. But maybe if it was more public, maybe there could be pressure put on for proper investigation. It just feels like it makes way too much sense to not pursue at least investigate further. And you know, maybe the science now because of not having an investigation then isn't even going to help like is there going to be any DNA evidence still this many years later after, you know, they've been buried like we don't know, but at least you give it a shot. I also just think for tracking this person like now this person should be watch list. Yeah, I mean, it has been over 10 years. Like I would be curious. Where's Billy at now? It's like even if they don't reopen the case and, you know, clear the name. If they can catch that, that's what this person is doing. It clears the name on its own. That's true, right? And like very true. The dad is gone. He's not in jail. So it's like, it really is not, it's about clearing the name. Well, in the closures and closures and valuables, like you're going to wonder forever. It'll be ups and downs forever with this. And at least if you try whichever way it goes, you'll either, I mean, you'll just know. And that's closure regardless of the outcome. Yeah. And I hope that OP does find closure. And if OP, if you're listening to this, I believe you know, I would love to see a formal investigation done. And then there's no doubt. I mean, hopefully answers would come from it at least. Okay, let's get into the paranormal. Yes. Yes. This is why what I came for. So I put on the costume. I don't know if I can handle how bad is it? We're going to start off a little light. Okay. It's easy to do it. And then it's like, it's crazy. So we're going to start with an article from Buzzfeed because Buzzfeed loves to be on Reddit. And they did some of the dirty work for me. Buzzfeed stuff. So this is a Buzzfeed article from Andy Golder. It is titled people are sharing the creepiest, most unexplainable things that happen to them. And I'm never sleeping again. Oh no. Come on, Buzzfeed. I need my sleep. Over the years, Reddit users have shared some incredibly spooky stories of unexplained things that happen to them. Here are some of the best and scariest of those Reddit stories. The mysterious baby prints. You know on cold days inside your car, you can breathe on the window and draw on the glass. I got in my car. And as I look at the windshield, I see a few small baby hands. I thought it was strange. Someone would let a baby play on my car's windshield. I had an urge to touch the baby prints. And as I touched it, I wiped away the hand prints. The hand prints were made from inside of my locked car. Whoa. That's coming from user Scooty Puff. Let's go Scooty Puff. This next one, the doppelganger. I was probably about 16 or 17 and had gotten home from high school. My brother was in the kitchen making a ruckus. So I started that way. As I passed by his bedroom, I saw my mom in there sitting on his bed with the lights off, facing away from me and towards the wall. I stopped and stood in the doorway and asked if she was okay and what she was doing. She said, "Really slowly? Just sitting. Come here. I need to talk to you." I took about a half step into the room when I heard my mom yelling for me in the kitchen. And then I saw her setting the table. I looked back to the bedroom and there was nothing there. I don't think I ever went back into that room by myself again, even 10 years later. So a lot of times you can be like, "Oh, I saw something." But then when that something speaks to you and you interact with that something. Do you guys know anyone personally who has a story like this? Morgan. I think this vivid. Morgan. Yeah. I heard. I saw. But I didn't actually see the person. Everything I saw was like from under the crack of the door and I was hearing. Yeah. I guess you didn't talk. I didn't talk to them. But we've had listeners because we do spooky on Father knows something too. And we have had listeners who talk about the concept of a mimic. And we have a couple of stories about mimics that we're going to get into. And it is a very, I would say common occurrence if you do have a serious paranormal encounter is a mimic like this. I don't even know that word. Am I supposed to know that word? No, we'll get into it. You'll learn. Did you not get chills when she was looking away, sitting in the dark? I mean, that in itself. Because how, yeah, like what did the face look like? The back of a head. Just sitting. And then you you would recognize the voice too. That's what's crazy about it. Same voice. I just want them all to be little caspers. Okay, moving on to this one. This is titled The Time Blip. Driving from Northern California to Southern California through the middle of the night about a decade ago. I was tired and the scenery along the freeway through the central valley isn't very interesting. I remember passing an old silo looking at my car clock and it was 317 in the morning. Drove some more, passed a power line and it was 321. I blinked, shuffled in my seat and passed the same old silo and it was back to 317. I was in disbelief. I just stared at my clock for a few moments. I drove a little more, passed the same power line 321. I don't know why or how, but I went backwards about four minutes. Never experienced anything similar or since. So it's weird about that. I would feel like I'm four minutes behind. Like when you're on like a live TV and you act. accidentally get behind. You feel like you're kind of missing out. I would feel that way the rest of my life. But boy, would I love to experience that. - Oh. - That's a glitch in the matrix. - I would love that. - I would love that. - Is there anything else additional to that? It was just the clock. - Just the clock. I mean, passing the scenery, it's like you literally, was it in your head, did you imagine the future or was there truly a glitch in the matrix and you like drove through a portal and then it started you back? Have you heard about the concept of glitch in the matrix? We've talked about this, right? So this is one that's actually crazy. It's got a whole subreddit for it too. And on the subreddit, glitch in the matrix, eyewitness events that cannot be explained with critical thinking. And so one video that I've seen is this guy is driving and a bird shits on his window. And he's like, oh my god, birch it. He and he activates his windshield wipers and they're going, but it doesn't clean the bird shit. He takes an napkin from inside his car and wipes the bird shit from inside his car. Explain that. - That's so weird. - There is a reason video I just saw from a tennis match where this guy hits the ball and if you watch the slow-mo video, it looks like the ball goes through the net, but either the camera isn't recording fast enough to catch it or it literally looks like it hits the net and then appears on the other side of the net. - I saw that. - Glitch in the matrix or just slow camera. - I mean, even in actual physics, explain entangled particles. Two particles can be billions of light years apart and when a force is acted upon one of them, let's say it's on Earth, you push the particle. The one that is inconceivably far away will feel the same force. It will react to the exact same way. They are connected instantaneously across unimaginable distances. Speed of light looks like it's slower than a sloth compared to how, I mean, it's instant. - I'm so glad that you started talking. - How does that work? - That you started talking because as you were talking about this market, like obviously we're talking about scary stuff, but it brought me back to that conversation we had in your guys' kitchen. Remember when we were talking about space and then I was also talking about these videos I saw people discussing their DMT experiences and it's like, I just find it really fascinating 'cause there's so many things that we don't know. We know like a hundred years ago, a thousand years ago, the amount of things that humans knew compared to now, what are we gonna learn in a hundred years, in a thousand years? So I find stuff like this very fascinating, in these glitches. - Yes. - It's so insane. This next one also kinda feels like a glitch in the matrix and again feels very like final destination at the same time. So BuzzFeed titled it, "The person who got a redo." I died, I saw it, I lived it. Either it was another world with a version of me that died, I saw, or I'm going crazy, but I died. We had a pep rally in school and after it was finished we had to go back to class. Well, my friend and I were not into that. So we wanted to go across the street to Sonic. Well, I remember walking with him and he dropped something. So I went across the street first. I just saw a red Tahoe heading right for me and I got hit. I remember everything, I remember gasping for air, I remember waking up and sleeping again, then nothing. All of a sudden I was back in the stadium again and the exact same words came out of the principal's mouth. My friend wanted to go get Sonic but I was freaking out. I thought it had to be a dream. So I went with him just to see what would happen. He dropped his stuff again and I waited. To my horror that same red Tahoe showed up. I told him that I'm going back to school. I ain't dying again. I can still see the other version of me on that street just messed up, not even moving. That's what is that? I was hoping they would go and test it. Like is that a psychic premonition, right? Like what is that? Yeah, like have you ever had a deja vu so real that you're in it and you're like, I have been here. Yeah, I've absolutely been here. And that's like a deja vu, but it's like. This one's like intensely specific though. Like to the, you know, to the second. I know. A lot of deja vu is kind of like, oh, this feels familiar. I've been here before. But not like that same car, that same, I dropped my stuff. Like it's like literally rewind press play. Yeah, that is crazy. I would love to experience that without getting hit by the car and dying. And just like, I want the 321 to 317 thing. There's actually a lot of studies on the concept of deja vu. And then dreams. I think dreams are also very closely connected to that. I had very, very vivid dreams last night that easily could have been my exact real life right now. I just saw a video about a woman who woke up from a coma and while she was in her coma, like lived a whole another life and had kids. Yeah. And for years. There was another coma victim that woke up and she goes, please God, don't play music for people in coma. She goes, I heard the same damn song on repeat every day. I heard all that music. I don't know how true that is. And it's one person's experience. I know reading can be very good. But. Well, mix up the playlist. You know what I'm saying? I know. You know? Huh. That's a crazy thought. It goes back to what you were saying. I feel like. Or just being being. No, I know. I'm just thinking about the fact of being in a coma and being like, I fucking hate this song. Turn the song. No more Taylor Swift. Nope. Wouldn't say that. No. But like genuinely like somebody being like, I'm trying to live my bed. Like I'm trying. I'm trying to live my bed. Like I'm trying to live my bed. tell her the story, but she preamps me by telling me about the weird thing that happened in the night. Whoa. That's wild. They woke up to the sound of the dog snarling at about 1am. Her husband thought there was a prowler in the house, got a gun, and went to find the dog. She was standing in the living room snarling at the middle of the room. He couldn't see anyone, so he flipped on the light. No one was there. The dog instantly stopped snarling and walked back to her bed like nothing had happened. That's the flash of light. He checked the property and then went back to bed. We talked a bit, and I found out that they watched some rental movies, and of course we had popcorn. Why? So he asked his sister, "Did you guys happen to have popcorn?" Wow. Because he saw the VHS's on the ground and then the bowl with like popcorn kernels. So he astral projected into his sister's living room. This is insane. Wait. They weren't there. Oh, they astral projected there. I thought they were like in the room right next door. No. He was at his own house, yeah. To see the dog, and then the flash of light. Well, then he's like, "My sister's normally friendly dog, looking like Koo Jo." That's insane. Yeah, because you're probably a floaty orb. The dogs, man. Dogs are tapped in. They are so tapped in. Oh, yeah. They are tapped. I think all animals. Yeah. All animals are tapped in. Wait. Did you guys see the video recently about the ghost and the horse? Oh, my God. We're just going to detour real quick here. Like, imagine, I keep staring at the owl. Like, imagine owls with those big eyes, and you know they're smart. Yeah. What the fuck do they see? Everything. I mean, how could you miss anything with those eyes? It's so interesting because I, when I look at this stuff and I hear this stuff, there's a lot of things that I will think is garbage or that I think can be explained. But there is a lot that I genuinely think has truth to it. And there's something that we just haven't figured out yet. We haven't tapped into yet. And so I just genuinely find this stuff fascinating. Fascinating. I feel like you're a skeptic, I think it's like then it's like, well, scientifically, how did this happen? Yeah. How did two people have the same experience? In real life, their dog was snarling. And this person had a, even if you say it's a dream, because we know dreams are real. They had a dream about that same experience. How are they tapped that in? There's so much physically and in physics and we just cannot explain. And some of our biggest like physics have been proven wrong recently. Like a lot of stuff is actively changing in the scientific community. So again, it's like we might not just be there yet. The laws we know for the, I'll call it the big stuff, work with just the big stuff. But they do not work with the small stuff and being very general. They don't work. They don't have a universal law of physics, because what we know about here and here and try to explain it, they completely refute each other. It does not work. So I mean, there's so much. And that's also what what I love about science is more about what we don't know than what we do know, because it just opens your mind and just the same way you're fascinated. I fall asleep just being fascinated and just bewildered about all these different things that we can't explain. Yes. It drives me crazy, but I also love it. I don't know what I believe in with space anymore. And like, are we in a Truman show and like we got plopped here by a more superior being as penance or punishment? We're just like an ant farm. No, but I literally just saw this and it was coming from I thought a scientific source didn't dig that deep. It could be bullshit. Don't quote me. Don't take this at anything other than me Gavin. But it was some recent discovery, things to the new telescope that we are so in our own bubble like there's no other major thing that we could ever get to. Like we are so locked in our own galaxy and there's obviously way more stuff out there, but we will never get out of where we are and we will never find or discover any other being unless they come find us or unless we just got a figure out warp drive. Then tech like which they speculate like we're we're not even close or wormholes. We're like yeah, we'll find how to regenerate human organs from axolotls way before that. That's what I'm saying. Like we're just we're so far off sign typically from even having space vehicles that can travel at a rate to get us like even like it is too slow. It's just we're just not there giving super advanced species what would be a form of entertainment. Well, let's start a new planet here and the life form will start a new planet here and they experience maybe time much more slowly so they can, you know, over what's been billions of years for us. Maybe it's just a few years for them and they're like, oh, look at how that species is evolved. They actually traveled to their nearest celestial body. The moon. Oh, and this species developing much slower, much faster and you do an experiment to see how life evolves. It's almost feeling like divergent where it's like, have they learned from their lesson yet? Well, they not kill their planet this time. But to learn more about the evolution of life, you would study, you would start other experiments. That's what science is. So it'd be like a very advanced species doing science and we could just be blinded by this veil of whatever in between because there are so much more advanced and different dimensions that they could wish I could never see a time portal to a hundred thousand years from now. Thank you. I think about this. I love that. Well, I think I told you guys this, but my dad, when I was younger, I asked him, I was just, I remember so vividly. I'm in the backseat of his car and I was like, dad, does it make you sad that you're not going to live forever? Like little kid questions. And my dad was like, no, I'm okay with the normal human life span and I was like, oh, then he goes, but honestly, I would just really, really, really love to know all of the future discoveries. Yes. And that has become like a core part of my personality. I think about all the time. It's why I like a lot of people will watch dystopians and they're like, oh, it's just a bunch of garbage. And I'm like, no, this, this is a potential that we don't know yet. Yes. Like we don't know what the future is. And that to me makes dystopian movies so fascinating because they're just displaying a bunch of possibilities that we won't get to unfortunately. Yeah. Not us true. I just, I have to cap it off for this. Unfortunately, depending on the novel movie, I just have to cap it off with the fact that I tell a lot of people, I will be pissed when I die, not because my life is over, but because of how much I won't be able to experience in the discoveries and how far humans make it. And are there contact with other life, all of the above? That's why I'll be pissed. Yeah. I got my diet really pissed. Let's get back to the ghost here. So this is the horse video I was talking about. Yes. So it's a horse in like a stall, a metal like turnout, Keral. And you see this little, it looks like a little girl here. But there's no little girl there. I mean, it's late. So it's just a little ghost girl trying to visit a pony. How do you not know that this is like edited or AI or these days you don't know why crimes are really tricky now too, because it's messy. It's really, it's really messy. Well, let's just believe there's a little ghost girl saying how to a horse because I like that. It's a little pony. Or are you like a, I thought you were not, I thought you were a hardcore non ghost believer. Your voice evolving. Whoa. Okay. You for me, it's like, I don't know that I believe in like ghosts the way that people talk about that. Yeah. But the, this energy in our world and an energy that's not quite put into a body like that, that concept to me existing does not seem far fetched at all. No. The more you actually dive into science, the more you realize how much is unknown and the more everything that you thought was, oh, that doesn't work scientifically, feels that much more plausible and that much more real. It's very interesting. Yeah. Speaking of ghosts, let's get into this one. So this next one from Buzzfeed is called the attic ghost. I used to live in a house that was built on old farmland. I slept in a bedroom that had no door, except for the door leading up to the attic, which had a little sliding lock on it. Every single night, I'd close the door and lock it. The attic frequently had birds and such get into it. And I didn't feel like having them fly out, except every single morning, it would be unlocked and slightly ajar. During the night, I'd wake up and have sleep paralysis. It was pretty frequent and I got used to it. During said sleep paralysis, a figure would open up the closet and slip out, all black, sort of shadowy and wearing what I can only describe as a farmer's hat. It would stare at me for a moment, just stare. Sometimes, it would take a step over before turning and walking out the entrance to my bedroom, which locked a door. But I had set up some beads. They would knock together.
together, I can still hear them to this day. I had always been told that I had an overactive imagination. I never spoke of it to my parents or family since they'd probably make fun of it. One summer, my cousin came to visit. She took over my room since my family thought she deserved a larger room for whatever reason. She came down for breakfast in the morning, white as a sheep and said, I could have my room back. When my mom asked why, she told her she had sleep paralysis and saw, basically, what I had seen. I had never spoken her of this. Years later, once we had moved out of the house, my mother told me something. Her bedroom was on the same hallway as mine, and she always slept with the door open. She told me some nights that she would wake up just to see a figure passed by the doorway quickly. I don't really know if it was a shared delusion or what, but it still scares me a bit to this day. I do stuff like this. It feels pretty random to be a shared delusion. I mean, everyone's seen the farmer's ghost. Little straw hat on his head. Everyone's seen the same sleep paralysis farmer. Not me. I decided to just believe this one's not true, 'cause it's just scary for me. Well, so do you think the ghost puts you in sleep paralysis? Is that the deal? That's how it works. Well, there's a long history of it, too. I remember something where they would, in one culture, it was something about a witch. So they would always say that I was a witch that was sitting on their chest, and a lot of them would describe a similar image as well, too. So this one I personally like to think it's the brain doing something really weird, rather than believe that that's going on, 'cause that's also scares the shit out of me. I feel that a lot of the ghost things, or paranormal things that happen in the middle of the night, are a little more like up in the air, just for the pure fact that dreams to me feel so realistic sometimes, and I honestly cannot tell the difference sometimes. That makes it a little bit like, okay, I can see the brain doing that, especially with what your brain actually physically does in the middle of the night as you sleep. True. I live a whole other life over there. No, I know. So it's like, with your grandma seeing the guy up in the field during the daytime, that to me feels a little more like, okay, you're awake, you're aware you've been up, you pinch yourself, you're not sleeping, and you have that direct experience, like the guy driving the car. Now, did the guy driving in the car, fall asleep at the wheel as scary as that is, and just jolt away, and that was a quick dream. It's the night time, the sleepy, that's what gets a little bit like. A little dicey. Okay. Until it happens to you, I guess. I know, well, this next one is middle of the day, not at night, okay. It's titled The Unwanted Music. When I was in high school, I would always be the first to arrive home out of my family, having the entire house to myself. My bedroom was upstairs, and one day, when I got home from school, I placed my bag away and started up the stairs. About halfway, I stopped, because I thought I heard something coming from upstairs, so I stayed quiet, and I listened. I heard a very slow rendition of the melody from ring around the rosy. It was crystal clear coming from my bedroom. I was 100% sure I was the only one home, and I had absolutely no device that could be playing music unprompted, especially ring around the rosy. I frozen fear and listened for about 15 seconds to make sure I was really hearing it, which I was. I just turned it back down the stairs and waited around in the living room for my family to get home before I went back upstairs. I went in my room a few hours later, and there was nothing out of the ordinary. Ring around the rosy. - Yeah. - Ash. - Why does it have to be that? - Which is a dark fricking sound. - I was like, it's just the ashes, ashes. - We all fall down. - The fact that that song-- - It's a flag, a flag song, plain. - Yeah. - No, I do the same thing with that word. It's so weird. - I'm so annoyed with pronouncing things differently. - I said mountains. I didn't say melons out of mole hills. I said mountains out of mole hills. - You know, I've never even heard that phrase before, so I just was like, you're just talking and then seeing the comments. - But I said mountains. Bailey, listen, Bailey said I said mountains. I think I just slurred, yeah. - Mountains. - Mountains. - Mountains. - Yeah. - Yeah, no. - It's a crazy song. - No, it is kind of a crazy song. And so the fact that it was made into this cute children's story, I've always thought that was weird. - But it's the horror thing, right? It's always the slow music box. - No, creepy. - Light melody slowed down. - Eerie. - Always. - Why do they make kids creepy? - You know, what? - Because it's not kids, it's just like, it's the song that's so sweet and lullaby. When you slow it down and play it on the right instrument, it just is creepy because it's supposed to be sweet and innocent. But then when you make it this dark sounding thing, - But there's so many horror movies. - Yeah, the kid. They have like the little kids, the red rum. And it's like, why is, why? 'Cause kids are so innocent and they're more perceptive. But there is some science to the music stuff because there is a certain beats per minute and like hurts. That is very soothing and like we vibe with. And if you go into a range that is not good, it does trigger like a stress response to your body. - Yeah. - Like, me, me, me, me, I know more about this. Talk about it. Give it a go. - Yes, sure, there's certain minor keys that like if someone, like with the intro, we change some of the chords from being major to minor and it instantly has this darker, more, you know, mysterious vibe, simply just changing chords. - I like that type of stuff too. Like I think it's, I get really pumped with Halloween music. - Yeah. - I actually have this playlist on Spotify that's Dangerous Woman. And it's like all of those more eerie slowed down, mysterious, darker type of songs. - I mean, you could do it to a Taylor Swift song. The happy, major sounding song, you could change it and slow it down and play it like on a creepy music box. - I mean, you hear it really well and people will take a song and make it for a trailer. And it's like this one with a song that all of a sudden it's dramatic and dark. - Can we do that? Can we do that? - We like, for Halloween, like do a song like that. - Yeah, it can be a Taylor Swift song, I love you a really fun project. - There is a lot of science on this. The brain has a natural tendency to synchronize its electrical oscillation patterns with external rhythmic or acoustic frequencies. They will use this as a vibro acoustic therapy to shift the nervous system towards relaxation. So depending on the frequency, like this is, yeah. - It is actually a study time for like pseudo science. - Yeah, so that's like, with music again slowing it down, making it creepy pitch, like it does affect us. - For sure. - I have an unbelievable video related to that that we should link. - Okay. - Just in the show, yeah, it'll, I'll send it to both of you. It's the same. - It'll be there. - Okay, this next one, we're back on actual Reddit. We're pulling from our slash paranormal now. It's titled, "Boyfriend and I just had an encounter with a mimic." And Lauren, you were curious, yet to know what that means. - I'm just picturing a mind. - So a paranormal mimic is a deceptive supernatural entity or spirit that copies the voices, sounds, or physical appearance of real people to trick and lure unsuspecting victims. A lot of different cultures have mimics. They will imitate parents, grandparents loved ones, draw children out, draw people out. And I've seen a girl who posted a video where she was in her barn taking care of her animals and she was just like recording her barn and all of a sudden she pans the camera to a version of her, like it's literally her body turned around, standing and staring at a stall. And she literally pans the camera, accidentally hits it and goes, "Oh no," and just runs out 'cause she was, "It's a mimic." It's me, they're trying to, they're trying to body snatch or do something. So there's all this, like, and I recall her basically, the mimics. I don't know who they are, but there's a lot of lore surrounding mimics. - So like the mom on the bed facing the other way. - Mimic. - Mimic. - That's why she said come here. - Yeah, what the fudge circles, I hate that so much. So this one, again, is titled Boyfriend and I just had an encounter with a mimic. This happened about 20 minutes ago. My boyfriend, 29, and I, 29, had just finished having sex. He asked if I could go grab a drink, so I left the room and into the kitchen I went. In the kitchen, I grab a glass to start preparing our beverage, and when I turn to face the counter, I then see my boyfriend from the corner of my eye. He was looking confused and almost concerned asking me what was going on. This, in turn, made me confused. I told him nothing was going on, and that I was just about to grab some ice for our drink. Quote, oh, I thought I heard you say something.
Then back down the hall he went shrugging it off I finished pouring our drink and just before I turned the corner down the hall. I heard Hello In my voice I immediately knew it was a mimic making my way down the hall I sit next to my boyfriend handing him the glass and I asked him what exactly he heard he told me he heard me yell Hey, I explained him that I heard myself - but the voice said hello I don't like that he took a sip of his drink shaking his head. We're not going to talk about it I'm not really scared or worried. It was eerie hearing my voice from where I was standing seemingly come from the basement But this isn't my first encounter with a mimic Just thought I'd share since this quite literally just happened. What? Why are they after you? I know. What do you got that they want? So we did ask to how takes listeners for some of their own personal write-ins Oh yeah, and Flaky initiative 1920 submitted their own story that feels eerily similar Hi, I recently found your podcast and I love it I've seen some of your spooky season episodes and I'm really excited to share my experience I also have video proof of one incident and I will end the story with a cute pal cleanser So I 28 female grew up with my dad at his house, which has always been haunted I've experienced things falling off of shelves Hearing footsteps and whatnot, but some things really stuck with me One thing I got told was when I was really young my mom had put me in my brother to bed and was downstairs watching TV She heard small footsteps slowly walking down the stairs She said it sounded just like when we knew we shouldn't be awake and tried not to make too much noise When we were trying to walk down the stairs She heard my voice whisper mom Mom and she answered like she always did, but then my voice didn't say anything else She heard it loud and clear and actually got worried when I didn't answer anymore She went up to check on us to see if anything was wrong, but both of us were fast asleep To this day she has no idea what it was But she felt really uneasy about it because it was so clear like I was right there calling her I had a similar experience when I was a little older. I just got home from school and was watching TV and had a snack I heard the front door open Close and then I heard my dad's voice say I'm home Like he always said when he got home from work I answered hi and went back to watching TV and eating my food This was around 2 p.m. Which is normally too early for my dad to come home But I figured he just left work early that day After a while, I realized I hadn't heard from him since he got home So I went through the house to look for him. He wasn't there. I called him and asked where he went and he told me He's still at work. I told him quote, but you just came home a few minutes ago He said he has been at work the whole time I didn't think much about it and went back to the couch But just as my mom heard my voice. I heard the door and my dad so loud and clear. There's no doubt about it This is this is one side of this stuff that I don't care to experience I'm more like I like to listen to Matrix. I like the time slip I'm just imagining walking into the house tonight and I hear you Or I don't know. I'm just picturing all the different scenarios And then I see you like oh, I'm gonna go out and say goodnight to the horses or something And then I walk to the bedroom and you're laying there and it's just like This is just one side of it. I don't care to experience Now that we have opened up this area of things that I do like talking about Now that I'm hearing these stories through a different lens because we just talked about this Stuff that I do like to talk about now. I'm looking at it thinking well Well, what if it's there's just so much energy in this one area that That that the house is remember the area is remembering things So maybe it's mimicking this because there's a memory That was so vivid because there's so much energy right there That the voice is replaying not because it's like a mimic or someone trying to steal somebody But because it just is remembering something that did once happen I know and makes it a little scary. Yeah. Well, nice. I think There's a lot of stories you hear about like places the grounds. Yeah, an area Remember events that happen there. Mm-hmm typically not happy or good ones But that is an interesting thought about energy My my brain also went to like deja vu was it just a deja vu where you you're like oh my home and like We're excited for your dad to come home and all of a sudden like your imagination like takes over a detour and you had like A diverse thought and it's like dad walks in door shut. Hi. I'm home Like was it literally in your head? Is it weird to say that that is almost scarier? That your brain could shift and do two things at once. Yeah, that it could Definitely possible But those ones like these So sure definitely possible, but these examples aren't so much It doesn't feel like they're trying to reel someone in Whereas the voice from the basement or vividly mom sitting on the bed facing way saying come here Feels much more like I'm trying to do something whereas the I'm home and then nothing else happens it's like well Okay, then what's the actual and game there like what's happening? Yeah I wonder if there's any stories and I would have to do a little digging to find these probably But I do wonder if anyone has followed a mimic or engage with a mimic or do we never know because they actually just Yeah, they take them over. What do you mean? We gone the body spotty snatched swapped Freaky Friday, but like with the mimic with the go so you become a mimic, I guess I don't know. I don't know My brain is follow the mimic and never Survive to tell the tail on Reddit to us like oh my brain is firing right now I need to find the video of the girl who saw herself in the barn. Yeah, it's it's jarring when you see it Oh, she actually has a video. Yeah, she posted it. Now you see her I wish people didn't post things just to mess with people because I Would really like to know if this is true or not? It was pre-Ai well So literally it went it went super viral on TikTok. It was I will say it was old It doesn't feel like it was People could edit long before a i though. I know, but it also just doesn't feel like that. I see So she's talking about her cow So I said her I will feed the bar You see the person over there in the corner She literally pans the camera to the person punch in the corner and just runs out the fucking barn Can you imagine talking about looking back? I literally just got the chills. She doesn't say a fucking word you guys gets in her truck You're not safe in the truck get out of there get out of there Okay What is she doing just trying to like rationalize what happened what are the sounds though Carlocking breathing Wait, why can't we need to pause we need to pause like in the moment. Why why couldn't she turn the car on Does she feel like she sees something right now? I'm not sure. I think it was hitting the outside of the car wasn't it? That's what those noises were She's getting out she gets out of the car I don't know why she got out of the car. It's like what people do in horror films What does she see? What is it? Her car keys she put the keys on the back on the back of her car. That's why she couldn't start her car That's what the noises were oh you guys you gotta rewind I know because the the noises were the the thing putting the keys on the back of the car But didn't she have the key wasn't she starting it so we're gonna watch it one more time I'm gonna pause with the person in the corner so you can see it really intensely This is probably this scariest thing. I've come across a long time. I don't like it And it's clear That is a person fully in the corner of her barn just like looking into looking into the corner So like again similar to the story about the mom the mom sitting on the bed faced away I feel like when you hear these stories. I have such deep chills right now. It's horrible I'm gonna be sick but when you when you hear these stories about like the mimics you never really see their face Turn that away, but go to where to break go to the sounds in the car That's why she turned around because there is on the back of the car. I don't know if I can hear twice We just gotta do it because we know I can do it. I can do I just that person. I need to get away from sorry So she sees it she goes a cute little baby cow
She falls, she's so scared. She's trying to start her car. Oh! You're here. Okay. Mmm, that's the thought of the wiper. He was so nice, he's like, you forgot your keys. Oh! Yeah. Dude. No, Laura. What else would he be doing? I mean, that is. That's saying, come get out of your car. Get taunting her. Okay. Okay. Okay. And then like, she's hearing it. Who knows what she's seeing, because the camera's not showing what she's seeing really either. And then, she slowly gets out. Because the lights went off, because the door is closed, and then when she opened the door, the lights came back on. I don't know if I'd been able to get out, I would have died of fear right there. Yeah. Like, I just. What the fuck? No. So someone took her lanyard, like, keys are on a lanyard, and they put her windshield wiper, pulled it out, slid the keys on, and it almost, from the video, it sounds like they just let it smack the car. That's like the most legitimate, scary feels real video I've come across. What the actual. Yeah. So. Because then, she, like, I think she does a story time. She does. I've never seen it. Long caption. Do we have a caption? Long caption. Yeah. I don't know. Maybe this has since been proven fake, but when I saw this, like, no, that was bad. Mimics, man. If anyone has a mimic story, please put it in the comments. And she thought that looked like her, too. Yeah. What the fuck? Literally, it was fun. Pan to her, and just staring. Yeah, it'd be like, when we go out to take care of the horses at night, and you know what you're wearing. And you know, you know what you look like, right? From cameras and stuff. So it'd be like turning and seeing the back of yourself with this hat, this shirt. And you're like, yep, and you instantly know what to do. How would you guys do run how far into where? I mean, the car was there. Like, I probably would have done exactly what she did. And that's why she, like, hit her start push to start in her car, like, thinking her keys were in the car where she left them, right? And then to know someone, whether it's a real person or paranormal. Just up to you. Right. Someone's fucking with you. Yeah. Someone's out there with you. There's no way that she would have put her keys in her windshield wiper. No. It's not like a, it's not like a oops. I forgot them on this counter. I must have just done. No one does that shit. No, no, no. No, I would, I fear that like this to me only happens in Minnesota, like at the old farm in the old barn. If I would turn and see that, I would stop and I would stare and I would just watch. Really? Because if it's like, there's no way I'm turning around and turning my back and walking away. Because that's when I feel like, you're brave. You're very brave. I would stop and stare at a minimum. If I'm going to leave, I'm backing my ass away. So, I'm scared. You're never taking your eyes off me. I'm not. No. You're not supposed to look at mimics. There are rules to the lore. I don't know them. What happens? I don't know. And I don't really want to know. I don't know if anyone wants to know and that's why we haven't discovered what happens when you do engage yet. I don't know. Again, this isn't a category I do not wish to experience. I would agree. I would agree with that. Okay. Let's move on to this next one. I don't think I can move on, Morgan. I'm so sorry, Lauren. I told you you can sleep overnight. Okay. One night? What about the rest of them? Well, it'll diminish. Yeah. Gosh. That was brutal. Okay. Next one. Yeah. Continue. Okay. So, on my first spooky season episode, I had a story with Damien about gnomes. Gnomes? Gnomes are apparently a thing people commonly see, especially when eating a certain mushroom, but. Like garden gnomes? Kind of. So this is coming from our slash paranormal encounters titled, "Husband and I. Seen Little People/Gnomes." Several months ago, I started seeing Little People/Gnomish people peek around my dresser by the hallway to look into my room at me. This would usually happen at night, and occasionally, I would see two gnomes stacked on top of each other running past the hallway. I have a history of mental illness, no history of psychosis, though, and I have been under a lot of stress this year. So I was like, damn, I need to get on medication. So I did. And the gnomes went away for a few months. I chalked it up to mental health, but I just started seeing the gnomes again running past the hallway. I have also had a bunch of things go missing in a 900 square foot apartment to the point where I feel insane. I left a washcloth on the ledge of my couch this week while I was changing my daughter, and when I came back five minutes later, it was gone. I still haven't found it, despite a massive hunt that involved both me and my husband. But get this, I finally decided to tell my husband yesterday that I was seeing Little People, and his face went absolutely blank. He works from home during the night, and said that last night while he was working, he saw a little gnome peek its head over the couch at him. But he thought he was crazy. We have a carbon monoxide detector that hasn't indicated any problems, so I don't think it's a mass psychosis thing. Thought I would share. The gnomes aren't very tall, only like one foot, and yes, they do wear cute little clothes. I was going to say you guys literally hit like the cutest paranormal lottery. Yes. I would dig gnomes any day of the week over the neck. Yeah. I think we have gnomes the way the remote disappears every day. I literally have made this joke with Justin for years now. You guys had the least freer remote. We do. We do everything. We do. It is an air tag on it. It still goes in the air tag. And it has like a neon case. neon yellow case. Yes. To find it. It still goes missing. No, I'll like literally leave it on the arm of the couch, and then all of a sudden it will be like in the kitchen by the fridge. And I'm like, where's that? I didn't move the leash. It's not. You guys took it off the leash. No, it's not. I've never had that. It's not like a long leash. It's not a long leash. It's got like a little stuff on it. It's like a handle, like a wrist strap. Like a wee sport. Like we, we, we, we bracelet. We, I wanted to make a couch leash. I, either someone else has this or I completely made this up in my head. No, it's a thing. That leash. Yeah. I thought you guys had it like attached to your couch. I've joked about it. I was going to make a cute one with bees. Somehow the gnomes would disconnect us. But it needs to be never allowed for that. That's fair. What? The gnomes would still disconnect it from the leash. Yeah. But I've, I've joked for like years now that I have a black hole following me. Oh, because things will go missing. Yeah. They disappear. Do I have gnomes? Maybe. And they just haven't showed their cute little selves yet. I'm down with the gnomes. I'm cool with that. Justin's like, I'm done because I'm always doing. I'll cohabit too. We'll make a little house for you. Like where do you live? What, you know? You know, we do have a wishing well from a listener. Her dad made it for us. She gave it to us at the Portland. That was so impressive. Her dad made it. Her dad is actually blind, I believe, and it's this beautiful wishing well. We could make, I still have it, obviously. We could make a little gnom garden with the wishing well. Love gnome gardens. Then they would actually have a place to hang out instead of, yeah, still my stuff. I do. Do you think gnomes is kind of like, they stop actually? Do we think they're like, Toy Story? Like they just come to life when you're not looking kind of thing. Like it's actually the gnomes running around or is there like, our garden gnome is made by people who have seen gnomes and then recreated them to be like, this is cool on the garden. Are you researching it, Morgan? Yes. I was looking up the origin story of gnomes, 16th century with the Swiss alchemist Paracelsus who coined the term in his writings on Renaissance, magic and alchemy. So maybe he was a little, a little high, makes sense of potions there and saw the people. Yeah. But here's the thing with the mushroom. So me and Damien talked about this one mushroom that 90 to 96, I don't know, watch that episode. Percent of people that take this mushroom all see these gnomes when they take it. So how are all these people having the same experience? Is it truly the mushroom or is the mushroom unlocking goggles that see that would be really cool? Yeah. Right. I, this is interesting because now you're making me think, well, what if they just move to a house that is like on a mushroom farm, some mushrooms growing underneath their home. And so they're writing. Yeah. Since, because mushrooms, they have those porous, porous pores that just shooting out chemicals. I don't know, man. I just picture the little guy over the couch with the little hat and then back down. I know. It's really, it's really cute. The fact that could this be a fake story? They all could. They all could. But the fact that the mushroom thing is real, like documented, very documented, by the mushrooms just.
working every single person's brain that takes them to see the same things. Do the gnomes live in the mushrooms and then it intercepts the person's brain? Like, what is the science of that? - Yeah, it would be so crazy to think about the fact that, like how that's trippy. It's a fun thing to ponder, it is. - Okay, let's move on. We're gonna end on a little light-hearted palette cleanser here. We're done with the main app. We got spooky patron. - Oh, did you see it? - Hoping back to the Buzzfeed article. This is a ghost story that's really sweet. I was putting my daughter to bed and she was talking about her godmother because we were reading a book that her godmother had gotten her. Her godmother died in 2019 of breast cancer. She was my very best friend, more like a sister, and she doted on my daughter. We are reminiscing about her and my daughter's twinkle lights she has on her ceiling start going off. They have multiple settings and they are on the rainbow setting. Not too weird. Maybe they have a short or something. I go to turn them off. They aren't plugged in. I figure it's my friend saying hi. She loved rainbows. I'm not superstitious, but she promised to stick around and haunt us. I find it comforting. Those little lights still go off every now and then. - Wow. - Little guardian angel. - That's really cool. And last, but not least. This next one has to do with a final visit from a feline friend. I was living in Boston. I woke up at three. I'm or so by my cat jumping up on my bed and curling in between my calf muscles and going to sleep. My cat would do this every night since I was five years old. That was his spot. It was something I was very familiar with. Thing is, my cat was living with my parents on the west coast. So I couldn't understand what the hell I just felt, but I knew it was my cat. I just figured I was dreaming. I got a call from my parents the following morning that my cat died around midnight the previous night. Three hours behind since I was on the east coast. - Oh. - I guess that was my cat traveling to Boston to come see me one last time. - Oh. - Not Hodson. It's so sweet, that is so sweet. - Animals are tapped in. - The cat was the coast. - That's what I'm saying. They are tapped in. They can see the coast, they are the coast. They can go into that realm. - I know. - I, it's crazy. - We don't deserve animals. They're two, they're just too good for us. - They're so pure. - Too good for us. - They're so magical. - They're so far above us. It's crazy. - Do you know? - Do you know how crazy it is that there's these dogs that like have these teeth and faces that are so huge and they could just jump on you and take you out and eat you. And they're just like, "I love you." - I just think how. - That's such a blessing. - How much animals can sense? I've found a few stories now that I'm saving for an episode with a very special doctor. So excited. Just please go off according to plan. But, people's animals can like discover cancer. - I've come across dogs. - Dogs are finding people's breast cancer. Like if your dog or animal is like paying attention to a certain spot on your body, licking you, making bread on you. - Yes. - You literally should go get a checked out. People aren't so serious, please. - No, but like if a cat is making bread on your boobs, you better get your boobs checked. - Yeah. - I don't know if this was fake or not, but I also saw something where if a dog alerts on you, like in an airport or walking in a Disney or wherever they have the dogs sniffing, if you get alerted on and you obviously don't have any drugs or you don't have anything, you should go get checked. Because people have gotten checked and they have some kind of early detected, like some of the scariest vert, like cancer sets, bread really quick, they alert and they go in and they say, "Why'd you come in?" And just I had a feeling something about a dog alerting on you. - So if a dog alert is on you at the false alarm, just go. The best case is you go and you figure out obviously nothing's wrong, you don't regret finding out what if. - Yeah. - It's crazy you has bring this up too because I don't come across stuff like that, but my algorithm is a lot of really cute animal stuff on TikTok and there was this guy with this cat and he just gave in the massage guy. - Yeah, yeah, and all of his comments are like, "You should go get checked out." - I was looking at all of those comments and I'm just like, "That is?" I don't know. - It annoys me because he didn't follow up and he's not like, "I've been checked." - He's like, "I was looking." I'm like, "Have you gone and looked?" Because the cat is only making bread, like massaging him in that one spot and he jokes. And he goes, "It's a bit where he pretends like he's a customer getting a massage and he'll talk to the cat as it's making bread." And then the cat will take its paws and put it on its mouth to be like, "Shut up." And it's such a funny video, but all the comments are on the same boat as us being like, "Hey, you should get looked at." I'm trying to tell you something. - I literally love that you keep saying making bread 'cause that's what it's called. - No, I only make biscuits. - You're making biscuits and the fact that you made it bread. - I'm like, "Pitching these cats just like blingin' out. I'm makein' pay, how do I botch everything?" - No, people say making bread. - Yeah, no, I'm sure it's a thing too. - No, the many said biscuits. Like, or said, like, "I only hear antical biscuits." Yeah. But no, I'm sure, I mean, bread, biscuit is bread. So you're, I'm sure it's definitely-- - You're kneading the dough. - Yeah, it's definitely a thing. Like I just, it just like in my head, and "Pitching a cat just bein' like, I'm gettin' papers." (laughing) Oh my God. - That's a good Hudson. - Yeah, yeah. - That's all we got. If you want more spooky, paranormal, crime, spread it crime, head over to Patreon. We are lockin' in for that one. - Thank you guys so much for being here. Just another reminder. We are potentially, at this point, still on the road to a million. - Oh, we're gonna, there's only, like, do you think we made it by now? - We're growing this in advance. - I looked, oh by now, by the time this comes out. - I do. - I think it'll be at 999.9. - I know, like, who's gonna be a million? - Yeah. - If you have, can you track that, though? - I'm gonna, I'm gonna, there's a live count. - I'm gonna unsubscribe so I can do it now. - Where are you? - You should like a gift to the millionth person. - That'll be me. - You're not subscribed? - What do I get? No, I'm gonna unsubscribe and wait until it gets in. - Well, then everyone's gonna do that. - Everyone's gonna wait. - Yeah, no. - Okay, no, that's bad. - Let's shoot. - The one that changes it from 1 million, 1,000, do they show that much? How does it work after you get them out? - You see it down to the one. - I don't know. You know it's so funny, you guys saying this on my Instagram? I had 30,000 followers and so I was like, you guys are gonna do 30 questions for 30,000 followers. And then by the time I finished it, people unfollowed me so I went to 29. (laughing) And I just got like a memory of that too. It was like a year ago or something and it was like, I looked through them and I'm like, oh, I answered these questions so thoughtfully. And then the last one I was like, oh, well, oops. (laughing) Well, we're not doing a giveaway until we hit 2 million. Then everyone will get a prize. - You get a prize. - You get a prize, Oprah, sell. - Yeah, but a million followers before episode 298 on YouTube equals a 10 hour long episode 300 that contains only updates. - Woo! - So bow! - Other than that, that's all I got. Thank you guys so much for being here. Ogh-sa is out. - The claw. (laughing) - I'm an ex-little. (laughing) Bye, guys. (laughing) (soft music) (laughing) (soft music)

Summary:
FAQs
Axolotels can regrow their limbs, hearts, eyes, and brain tissue, which scientists believe could one day be replicated in humans to treat injuries or diseases.
While not guaranteed, research suggests it's possible within our lifetime to mimic axolotel regeneration in humans, though it remains a long-term scientific goal.
The partner discovered coworkers in a work chat discussing drugging, feeding her to pigs, and placing IVs or catheters, leading her to leave and report the messages to police.
The messages were disturbing and detailed, but the woman later learned they claimed it was all a joke. Still, she reported it due to the serious nature and potential for real harm.
She reported the messages to police, who charged the coworkers with assault by threat. The coworkers also lost their jobs, and she filed for full custody of her daughter.
The meme features a bear with a caption admitting to killing a boyfriend with his own drugs. It sparked a real police investigation, though it was later revealed to be a joke based on personal information exposure.
