NHL players we are buying stocks in this season

The podcast "What Chaos" is officially moving from the Nation Network to The Ringer, a decision driven by a desire to preserve creative control and authenticity. The show will continue as a live, four-day-a-week, YouTube-based series with no structural changes—produced, programmed, and hosted entirely by the original team. This move is praised for honoring the show’s independent spirit, with the hosts emphasizing that any flaws will be theirs alone, not due to external pressures. A major theme of the episode is the scrutiny of the Buffalo Sabers' "predazzled" jersey sales, which the hosts question for their environmental and aesthetic impact. The team also dives into team dynamics, notably the Columbus Blue Jackets’ struggles with Carole Marchenko, a player they believe could drastically improve the team’s performance if traded. Other topics include a deep dive into golly masks, with the hosts celebrating unique designs like Devon Levi’s and Jacob Markstrom’s controversial "buck teeth" mask. The show also explores the Bruins’ captaincy decision, favoring David Pazranoch, and the team’s growing fondness for the idea of a captaincy announcement that feels like a moment of earned respect. The hosts stress their commitment to hockey storytelling, while also noting the fun of blending humor with serious analysis. They close by thanking the Nation Network for their support and expressing excitement about future collaborations with The Ringer and potential cross-podcast content, especially with Bill Simmons. The episode balances satire, insight, and personal passion, reinforcing the show’s identity as a bold, unapologetic, and deeply rooted hockey conversation.

(upbeat music) It is Monday, September 21st, the United States in Canada, week before hockey week in the United States in Canada. And this is a show called "What Chaos" from the Sports Interaction Studio. In Boston, Massachusetts, my name is David Bean. I sit beside Pete Blackburn, and holding it down in the city of predazzled jerseys. It's our guy Sean Depaz. Hi, Sean, what do you got to say for yourself? I am going to inject to the very like, I don't know, like the base of what you're saying. I'm blanking on the word, but like the idea in general. The premise? The premise, yes, the concept. You're doing a little like a quintess, you know? There's a manatex chat. I reject your hypothesis. Yes, yes, yes. Maybe a little semantics chat, but I reject the idea that we're in the land of predazzled jerseys. Well, I mean, predazzled jerseys are good. It's predazzled jerseys that we will discuss might be a little problematic and bad for the garment potentially. I mean, at that last part, but that's how you would-- You're probably right. That's how you win an argument. That's how you ask narratives. It's bad for the-- Are the Minnesota wild bad for the environment this season? That's what people did with Taylor Swift. They were like, her music sucks. And she's bad for the environment. Yeah. What's that? Oh, that was cool. I like to see that's my husband thing. I think that's a fun meme. I saw the guy respond to it being like, is this cringe to anybody but me? I was like, you just have never been in a loving relationship. My brother, skill issue. What? That he thinks that it's cringe? He was like, isn't it super cringe that like saying, that's my husband when your partner does something well and all the responses, even on Twitter, where I think like half the base hates Taylor Swift and will find any way to criticize her. All the responses were like, brother, being in a loving relationship one time. Oh, yeah. Love is embattishing from the outside but from the inside. Damn, shit hits. I'll tell you what hits. Some news that we're finally able to address. Shout out to Scoopsfin. Chad Finn was all over it last week. He had in the globe and he had a nice little interview with us that we very much appreciate. This is our last week on the Nation Network. We are moving to the ringer. That is right. The wonderful Bill Simmons founded podcast network and everything network. You know what the ringer is? You know who Bill Simmons is? And we're very, very grateful that they are having us. We are so excited. I know that this move comes with some questions. So I will answer those immediately in terms of like, how does this affect the show? The show will be done, produced, programmed, created, performed, everything by the three of us as usual. It will be four days a week, Monday through Thursday. noon, Easter in the United States and Canada. It will be live on YouTube. It will be found where you get your podcasts. It will be for all intents and purposes the same. So if this moved to the ringer, in a few weeks you're like, what chaos sucks? It's because we've started to do a bad show. This has been an awesome deal to come together. Can't thank Bill enough. He is extremely, he's been very excited and involved in, like he did all of the courting here. Like he was the contact person. But all of the courting came with, I like what you seem to have figured out, keep doing that. Like your ideas, do your ideas. I'm not here to tell you how to do anything. And that has been a, we tried not behind maintenance. That has been a demand with anybody that we've done anything with where like, hey, we are annoyingly protective of this show and we needed to feel like us. And every place we've worked with, all city, nation has been super fucking cool about that. To have Bill Simmons who has obviously accomplished all of these things, agree with that is what makes this an easy move for us. We're super excited about it. Yeah, I mean, it goes back to what you kind of joked about. It's like, if this show fails, I want it to be because we fail. Yeah, we sucked. I've worked enough places to know that in a lot of spots, you're only as good as your boss allows you to be. And the people above you allow you to be. And we've been very, very lucky so far. The ringer negotiations, all the things that we heard were just like very, very allowing us to be us. And so that was a huge selling point. And as I told Chad Finn, when we talked to him, I kind of had to remove myself from the Bill Simmons of it all, because I grew up and I was a big Simmons head. I have read, listened, watched to Bill Simmons stuff for forever. And I didn't want to have like Google-y eyes when he was like, "Hey, I like your show. You want to bring it to our network." But ultimately, that is a cool element here. But the biggest, most important thing is that the show is going to stay this show. Yes, yes. It's a frustrating feeling when you can't blame yourself for everything. We don't want credit for anything, but we want that if we do something bad, that it's just our fault, and then we can sleep at night because it sucks when, because humans, if you have a finger to point, you're going to point it. I like that we don't have fingers to point. Anything that you like about our show or hate about our show is because of us. And that is going to stay the same, super excited. And again, just really grateful to Bill, Jeff, everyone we've talked to over there. People ask in the chat if we're going to be able to afford the studio. We are keeping the studio, but for Patreon purposes, we cannot afford it. Please still subscribe to the Patreon. We love you. Yeah, we're still paying for the, yeah, we're not, there was no sort of like, "Hey, you know, you could save money if you did it remote or whatever." Like any question they had about how we do the show, they were like, "Hey, you do it this way. Is that good for you?" Yes. Okay, go forward from there. I think that nobody really wants to hear about the semantics or whatever, but there is a, there's some anecdotal stuff about how it came together in Chad Finn's piece in the Boston Globe that involved me driving around to find a supermarket that had cell phone service in Nova Scotia. So I could try to talk to this wonderful man. So more to come there, et cetera, et cetera, this is going to rock. Need to thank the folks at the nation, really. Need to thank the folks at All City for giving us our start. But last year, this past year doing the show with the Nation Network has been amazing. It is the Best Hockey Network. We're taking the show from the Best Hockey Network to a network where we think, you know, be in the hockey show at this very vast network could really be an interesting swing for us. But as far as nation goes, have thank Jay Downton, who's been on the show, the founder of Nation Network, obviously. But Amil Dullich has been an absolute godsend for us. Yes, the head of programming there. If that person exists at other places, I just haven't been to those other places and I haven't seen those other places. And I have not seen those other Amil's. Jeff Merrick told us when we were going to nation that, "Hey, Amil's going to be a really good resource for you." "As a show that, again, insists that, hey, we're going to do this our way." Amil was incredible. A good friend, a good resource, super passionate, super smart. But if you'll allow me, I need to tell a quick little story. Sean, we've talked about how last year there was a possibility that you could have left the show. Sean got a job offer that was going to bring him closer to home in Buffalo. And he had to take it. And some of us were having meltdowns over the idea of that happening. And how much worse life would be doing this show without Sean. But we also love Sean. And, you know, this was a good opportunity for him. And we thought that we were shit out of luck. Amil and Nick Caroley were like, "Yo, if you want to get crazy here, we will pull out any sort of technical stops that you need. And you can just let him move to Buffalo." And they saved our show. Like, Amil will always be a hero of our show. Nick is incredible with everything, technically. And there's a million more names that we can name people at the nation. Kennedy, Liam, Johnny Lazz, Tyler, you're on Chuck. Everybody there is our friend. And they, yes, Amy, and they remain our friends. Jay has been so cool and supportive of this move. So, look, I know that people don't really care about the technical stuff. And I know that some people are like, what's the ringer? Why does it matter what podcast network you're on? This should be good for us. This should help us grow. And this should help us keep this party going as long as we want it to go. And that is very great. We're super grateful to everyone who is allowed to happen. And please keep continuing to support the nation network. Because they're doing great stuff over there and they have a lot of great shows. And yeah, like truly the hardest part of taking the ringer deal was leaving the nation. Because they've been so good to us even from day one when we weren't at the nation. Like, the nation believed in the show from day one when we were at all city. Like, I love those guys. I love everybody. over there, it was a very hard decision to say yes and go somewhere else, but hope the best things for them moving forward as well. Respectfully, everybody stop telling us that we should go on their movie podcasts, a movie podcast. We love movies and we love their movie podcasts. They definitely did not bring us on to be movie experts like I was listening to the way that we talk about movies and the way that they talk about movies and then consider how out of our depths we would be if we were ever to enter into that arena. And I even complained on a recent Patreon episode, like, and this was while we were talking to Bill and stuff and we knew this could possibly happen. I was like, a lot of people when they talk about movies, like, try to be like Sean Fennessy and that makes people sound dumb when they talk about movies because Sean Fennessy is actually a hyper scholarly cinephile and I thought we can love me. We sound dumb in our own way. Yeah, like we, Pete and I have probably watched every movie that's come out in the last decade. And I listened to the There Will Be Blood rewatchables episode, which Sean, you absolutely need to listen to. And I texted Pete during I've, I know everything about there will be blood. I am the fucking There Will Be Blood guy and I was listening to it. And I was like, I absolutely could not fucking hang with this conversation. And if for some reason, which again, we're not saying that, like, we think we should be doing those. We're saying that we think we should not. If I were on that and I were listening to myself on that, I would go on the Bill Simmons Reddit and complain that like, they don't need to bring these fucking guys up. So we're still going to be talking about movies here and on the Patreon and everything. And any sort of crossover we can do with the ringer, we would fucking love to do. But I do want people to know that our eyes are extremely on the prize. We are trying to give the ringer the stupidest fucking hockey show they've ever gotten. And if they want that to be extended into other areas, we will discuss it. But first of all, we need to make hockey very stupid at the ringer. And we will and yeah, and if we do that shit, we're gonna, it'll be like when we go on with Felgar, where we're like, okay, we will bring what chaos to Felgar. I do know that there will be some Bill crossover coming at some point and it's going to be the best. I saw someone say like, oh man, wait until the, wait until Bill Simmons has to talk to these guys. He's gonna fucking lose it. And it's like, no, Bill Simmons was the one who wanted this. They speak in a movies. I did see Resident Evil last night chat to ask, it's a lot of fun, boy, I have some issues. But that is a very fun 90 minute thrill ride that gets ridiculous. And it is a very, very, very good telling of the Resident Evil universe. I know that you have issues. You went to Resident Evil. Yeah, true. I mean, theater was packed. Yo, I was supposed to go last night, but I'll tell you what, I was a little sleepy, couldn't make it happen. So I was getting a ticket for tonight, theater not packed. That's one. Craig are movies? You want a packed theater. Really horror movies you want a packed theater. You know what, it's funny, weapons and Resident Evil, I think had like the exact opposite experience. Not the exact opposite, but it's definitely an opposite experience where like, weapons was building the entire time and like, it was the greatest example of landing the plane I've ever seen. I feel like Resident Evil was going 95 minutes or 95 miles per hour the entire movie and then had no idea how to hit the brakes. Chad said, Resident Evil was great, but it doesn't end. Correct. And the way that it just felt like that movie had no idea how to, how to wrap up. What I was going to say, was it like being at an improv show where there's like, oh, that's like a kind of funny moment. Someone runs across the stage and that's how that scene ends. Yeah, it was like, I guess this has to be over at some point. Let's find a way to end this. But Sean, how do you feel about being the foremost Buffalo Sabers guy at the Ringer? I love it. It's funny because I, I really want to argue with Bill about his, his Drake May opinions. That's why I think you'll be able to, it's a bad time to have Drake May opinions endearing. That's another, go ahead, sorry. No, I just saw a clip of him a couple of weeks ago being like Drake, basically being like Drake May is better than Josh Allen and then he was finally asked the questions straight up, who would you rather have in a playoff game, Josh Allen or Drake May, and he had to admit that it was Josh Allen. So I just, you know, I love having Boston sports fans to argue with. It's like my favorite, favorite past time. He did send the Drake May panic tweet tweet yesterday, though, which I believe was just an all caps Drake May panic tweet. But on the thing of like arguing with him, it's weird to start like working with or collaborating with. And whatever. Like this guy could be like, I fucking hate these guy like he can just spend five more minutes with us and be annoyed with us or whatever. But he's been fucking awesome so far, but it's just so funny, like talking to him and figuring all this shit out when it's like, dude, I've been mad at you like a hundred times in my life. Oh, yeah. That's like, I mean, that's the mark of like a good sports person. Oh, yeah. I don't want to always agree with you. I actually can't think of what I've been mad at him about like he's, he's always been my like safe space Celtics wise, where if like shit's hitting the fan with the Celtics, where I mean, Michael Wilbond threatened to kill Connor Hellerbuck a couple of weeks ago. And like, I don't, I don't personally agree with taking that stance, but I like that somebody goes there. I like that that it's been said and it's it's brave enough to get in front of a microphone and say that. And I will say, it's not aging particularly poorly. Michael Wilbond is more plugged into the Winnipeg Jets and we ever gave him credit for that. Last week when we were talking about it, where like that happened and then everyone was like, this is ridiculous from Mike Wilbond and people started having their own conversations about Connor Hellerbuck. And I was like, sounds a lot like the shit Michael Wilbond was saying. Yeah. I guess it was just the omission of like everything else that had happened this off season where it's like, Dylan Larkin was clearly more of a dickhead about his trade request than Connor Hellerbuck was. Hey, where was the energy for that? He's injured. Leave me alone. Leave me alone. Loser. What's on the show today? We've done a lot of grab ass fakus injury I've ever, ever laid eyes on and that's including Caleb Williams. Oh, well, come on now. Lord carry him now today on the show Carille versus chit chat. Carl Marchenko is talking, but you want to stay tuned for what he's saying, because it's limited. It's limited. It is limited. A moment for the masks, we've got some good, golly masks coming this season. We're going to hit some of those. We got those players we do like. That's that shit we do like. Yeah. There you go. Cheap. Yeah. We're going to talk some players that were buying stocks in ahead of this season. It's a good time to plant your flag. Good. And then finally, stealing shine, is that about that? That is about the Buffalo Sabers selling pre-be dazzled jerseys in their pro shop and the trouble that might come with that. Okay. I've been listening. I've been learning. And while I was initially excited about that development, I've learned that it might not necessarily be the best move and the best thing to do. So we're going to get into that. Well, I mean, also need to shut out Philadelphia PLL champs, baby. Yeah. Sorry, Mike Manley. We kind of are going to be able to retire. We kind of have like a little bit of what KOS PLL kiss a death to guys on seasons and immediately after. Yeah. It's got to end some time, Sean. But that's the playoffs. Well, I guess the season was ending immediately after it either way. Ever heard of going out in the high note? Well, like, Manley. I'm sure that's exactly what happened. No, they're there. They do our show and they're like, man, doesn't get better than this. But yeah, I could leave it all by always. Lord, take me now or carry her now. Shout out Caleb Williams again. Let's get into some news. Kevin, what are you doing? What? I mean, you can't do all those hate. You can't do all that and then have like a just a hammy. Yeah. Got to sit in extra couple of weeks. Yeah. You got Dylan Larkinit. That's a little bit of the hammy is. hammy might have fallen off the bone. It's a pretty bad injury. Smoked hams probably shouldn't walk out of the arena on his out of the stadium under his own power, though. Okay. Happy trails to Kevin Hayes. He has no Michael happy trails to Kevin Hayes. He is retired from hockey after five games in the KHL respect. I respect that a lot of that. I'm looking forward to the inevitable spit and chicklets interview where he discusses when exactly he found out the KHL wasn't for him. I will be there no matter what. I'm guessing during one of the first five games. Yeah. That's one of those things that I'm like, I bet that is how it looks. I bet he went to play KHL, got there and is like, no, he said it was he did the very diplomatic, you know, like I wanted to play as long as I had something to give the game and my hands feet, whatever it may be, you're starting to fail me. So I can't keep up your fucking Kevin Hayes, man. You can keep up. Yeah. Dominate that lead. It's a KHL, man. No disrespect to the KHL, but I think that Kevin Hayes could do it. Yeah. I just don't know if he wants to and if he doesn't want to, good for him for getting out. Well, five. Days, games, whatever in the KHL is longer than Adam Phantilly has spent with the Columbus Blue Jackets this preseason because he remains unsigned. The clock is ticking. That's not amazing. More importantly, with the Columbus Blue Jackets. Carole Marchenko, who is believed to want out of Columbus, has shown up to Blue Jackets training camp in preseason, has participated in everything and has spoken with the media if you are new to the show or anything. Carole Marchenko is someone that we find to be the most charming person in the NHL, like basically a god in our universe. Extremely, and I was thinking about that yesterday, we got into the Odyssey and Halfway argument again, yesterday on the Patreon. And I was like, I was thinking about it later and I was like, I think that maybe I'm just a little more, like no sacred cows oriented where like nope, there aren't many people that I'm like, just because you're you, I will blindly say that you are perfect in everything no matter what. I got so many of those. And then I was like, I think I'd definitely under ice idle like a week ago, stepping in shit. Like we have sacred cows in the time. Carole Marchenko is a sacred cow for us because if you were somebody else, we might have been looking at this a little differently this off season. Well, yes and no. I also think that Carole Marchenko, I've revisited in my brain a few times. Like do we overrate Carole Marchenko because we like him so much personally and we've had a great interactions. And then you watch Carole Marchenko play and you're like, no, this is like one of the most electric players in the NHL. I think that Carole Marchenko, if he gets out of Columbus, we'll get a lot more shine in a better situation. Carole's got two eyes in it because you got to use those and then you know. Like he is such an eye test player. Yeah. And I honestly, if you tell me like how many points did Carole Marchenko have last year? Wouldn't be able to tell you. He is so much more of an eye test player for me, but he still scores a million goals and makes, and he makes all of his line mates better, et cetera, et cetera. He rocks, but he's also just so fucking lovely as a person. Here is his media availability with the blue jackets press. I forget all English, all English and Russia. I know only words about hockey right now. Let's go. Only hockey. Only hockey. Let's try. Where do you want to play hockey? Ho ho. Oh, nice. Oh, nice. Where I can play. Oh, nice back, not ballpark. Back hockey, ice hockey, and you'll see. He's so good on the ice. The man brings whimsy to I'm asking out of this bitch press conferences. That's impressive. Ask Dylan Larkin how that went for him. Absolutely brought no whimsy, no energy, delivered absolutely nothing when he sat down in front of a microphone for the Detroit Red Wings. That's how you do it, brother. Oh, yeah. I'll tell you. I'll tell you. I was gonna say, I'll tell you who doesn't give a damn about that whimsy is Columbus Blue Jackets and their fans. I think we're not happy. There's no, there's no winning for the Columbus Blue Jackets at this point, because it seems like you're probably gonna lose Caromarchenko and you're probably gonna lose the Caromarchenko trade if I had to guess. Weird vibes over there all around, not just the Marchenko situation. The Columbus is in such a weird spot right now, but I mean, to get content in some light chuckles out of a Caromarchenko, get me out of here, presser, I respect it. I hate that the Blue Jackets did everything right, except just fucking win hockey games. Like, you found that guy, you signed him to, and there was a bridge deal, but this is year three of having Caromarchenko under $4 million. Well, I was listening to 32 Thoughts this morning and Elliot was talking about how like, that has become a problem for the Blue Jackets, because they can't sign Phantilly, or they can't trade Marchenko until they sign Phantilly to no Phantilly's number, because a Marchenko trade is absolutely going to bring in more money than it is going to send out, because Caromarchenko's making less than $4 million. What are we talking about here? $3.85 million. It bears watching, especially if Caromarchenko keeps talking. We love you, buddy. We support you. I don't think he's being done any favors by his agent, by the way. Why? Because Dan Milstein is just like, keeps tweeting out fake things, and everybody's like, "Is this Marchenko?" Feel like he keeps stoking the fire, which maybe is his job to an extent as an agent, but yeah, it's kind of a messy situation, and I just hope that everything's okay for the Blue Jackets and that if Marchenko is traded, he goes to a place where he becomes like a bona fide superstar in a market that, I don't want to slag the Blue Jackets market. No, that's the fucking thing. Columbus rocks. Dan, they love that guy. It's great. The fans are awesome. The arena is awesome. It's an easy place to play while still being heavily celebrated. I don't know what's gone into Caromarchenko wanting out. It could just be an I want to win thing. I just want Marchenko's profile to be raised. That's the ultimate goal for me. It does make me think though, like, what was going on? On that team USA, man, what does that group text look like? You think that now Caromarchenko, they're pulling in Caromarchenko and being like, brother, you should get out too. Yeah, well, what happened in Italy? I wonder if there's a, if we were allowed, this would be Team Russia group chat because I mean, I feel like Russians famously aren't very fond of playing in small towns. Go on. I mean, I feel like a lot of you end up seeing a lot of like, I mean, it was a big thing with Panarin. Yeah, I mean, obviously it's specifically a Columbus tie. But like, I don't know. And Panarin values a big market so much that he asked for a trade to the Los Angeles games. My point is at it, my point exactly. And obviously OV plays in in DC. I mean, I guess Malcolm plays in Pittsburgh. I Columbus is like, what got to be the smallest American market in the league, right? Or not made out market, but like, I guess Buffalo is probably smaller as a market. But burn Buffalo is a big big TV market, right? Yeah, I know there's like up there for the, yeah, I don't know. There's only so many times that Geron Marchenko can go to the Columbus Zoo and find new animals. Yeah, I know that that's been like his off ice activities. I want him to be close to the rock and roll hall of fame, famously not a music guy. Oh, right. Does not listen to music, no music. Go listen to our first interview with Geron Marchenko and then go listen to our interview with Dimitri Veronkov because it is translated by Carl Marchenko. What a guy. For God, that's an awesome video. Like, that is the best. One of the coolest things that I think we've ever done. And that's why you're translating for a teammate. That again, if you have stupid ideas, just, just ask. Yeah, we're like, what about Veronkov? And they're like, oh, no, he's not very comfortable with English. What if Marchenko translates? And they're like, fine. The best. OK, this is a scratch that I would like, an itch that I would like to scratch. Don Sweeney, friend of the show, announced last week, we say everyone is a friend of the show. Most of these people are not friends of the show. Don Sweeney, Bruins General Manager, and Alan Lee, especially not proud of the show. But I pull for him. Announce last week that the Bruins will have a captain this season. And then he stopped saying words he just announced at the beginning of training camp. We will have a captain this season playing up and cannot emphasize how badly he did not need to do that. Didn't need to say it. And I especially realized he didn't need to say it when my friend Tom Giles, TV guy in Boston, sent me a Charlie McAvoy interview, Scott McLaughlin was asking him about the captain situation. And he's like, um, yeah, I don't know who's going to be. It's going to be him or it's going to be David Paz. I think there are two possibilities. Unless you want to have fun with it and say Nikita's adora. I dial have not ruled out. I'm not a fasting, not going to rule it out. I really hope it's not Nikita's adora, but I throw in a third or a fourth fun option. A lie, a hammer slant home. No, I would be so fucking happy. He ever will be so mad, uh, what a phrasher mitten. Yeah, I mean, you're paying him all that money and why not even though disrespectful. Why would that be so disrespectful? David Pazranoch needs to be the captain of the boss. Yeah, you're right. You're right, but it wouldn't be disrespectful. David Pazranoch should be the captain of the Bruins. Uh, I understand if someone wants to say McAvoy and I'd be happy for McAvoy if it's him. But the most important thing here is what a weird fucking spot to put your players in where now there is a reverse witch hunt for a good thing happening. Yeah, I don't like it's going to be just this is not going to be a celebration of like, wow, they named a captain. It's going to be a celebration that this shit is over that they admitted who their captain was. Yeah, uh, I do, I do believe that, uh, Nikita's adora of did walk into the dressing room on the media was there and announced that he was the captain. Yes. Well, he said, I am the captain now. Oh, oh, so we could. recording Captain Phillips. Oh, I think he was. I think it might be both. You know, that's got a little bit of the much maligned Nelly from the office energy. Remember that when Andy went away and Nelly just became the manager, she just took his office. I, um, I think this adorov yelled that while David Possohnak was being interviewed. So possibly because it deals like everybody's acknowledging that Posso is going to be the captain. And I did see many, uh, many media day photos emerge in which David Possohnak's front is not exposed. There's no full frontal for David Possohnak a media day. So well, they usually get like a body double. Sometimes who are so that's not so that's not it's, it's not even real. It's no good. You don't need sex scenes in movies. Shut up. We'll guck. Uh, he had sex. It chats agree with me, but though, by the way, that phrasier mitten would be awesome and hilarious. It would be exciting. That's what we want. That's my captain. Didn't McLevoy also say that it probably should be Possohnak. That seems like a, that seems like him vying for the captain. See, that seems like something the captain would say. Yeah, fair enough. That would be a season three of the office. Possohnak would be like Charlie's a nice guy. Well, that's why I also, because he would be like, okay, cool. I'll take it. Also, uh, Sweden said we're starting this user with a captain. Famously, Charlie McLevoy is not starting the season on the Boston Bruins because he's suspended for trying to sell that. That's how that is a great point that I hadn't considered. Yeah. So I feel like it's got to be, it's got to be, I mean, it's good. It's obviously going to be David Possohnak. I think I would be shocked if it was anybody. It's going to be David Possohnak and they're going to put A's on, on McLevoy. And it's a door of, I feel like mainly just it keeps the door of like kind of happy. Just he seems like he would care about that. I mean, famously, Possohnak was the guy at the end of last season who was like, I'm getting sick of this shit, uh, running out of time here. You need to start winning some, some playoff series, giving him the sea to then, like kind of reset his clock would be an expert move by Don Swini. It's like, we're giving you the sea. This is your team now. What you're going to bail on them? Well, maybe Charlie McLevoy added David Possohnak to the team USA group chat to sabotage David Possohnak's chances of becoming captain because that's going to make him a Mr. Sourpuss. I don't want to play here. I want to go play in America and Charlie McLevoy just says diplomatic things in the press. There you go. There's your captain. Even if he is suspended for the terrible, terrible things that he committed against Zach Benson. Also, I say that the, like, the giving in the sea resets the clock. Like the last Bruins captain wasn't out of the door. Like a year and a half later. Yeah. Well, I was going to bring up the favorite Possohnak fought one time in the playoffs. I feel like that is the most captainly thing that anybody has done on this team in the last like three years. Well, you're supposed to fight in the preseason, shut up Brady. That man just can't help himself fighting in the middle of the endless spots. Yeah. I mean, Charlie McLevoy trying to kill a guy in the playoffs. That's right. That's why he's not going to be. I think we brought that. Yeah. Yeah. I think that's the, the Zach Benson of it. I mean, yeah, that could, that could be considered captainly in some circles. It's the Chucky and everyone wants the next to Chuck or at least someone who's on a group text with two of them. At least at least good trucks brave enough to do it with his bare hands is fair. Bruins figure it out. We love you. We want to see see who's wearing that thing. It should be David Possohnak though. And if if they named David Possohnak captain, I'll be awaiting the text message from James Stewart, producer of Felger and mez saying, can you guys come on the show? Because I am badly going to want to see Felger hates David Possohnak shocker. He thinks that he stat Humps because he plays, he's on the ice with an empty net. Yeah, because a goal score is there when it's easy to score. He's the first star player to ever be on the ice when there's an empty net and sometimes score on it. Absolute stat Humber. Here's what I've really want to talk about for a few days now. Golly masks are having a moment. I haven't paid super close attention to golly masks over the years. Once the NHL said Mark Andre Flurry couldn't honor his wife on his golly mask. I said, all right, I don't care about this shit anymore. Consciously subjector. Yes, exactly. I don't, I don't look at golly masks. I just look at the stats. But we've started to see bit by bit the golly masks for the upcoming season. And one by one, I've been like, oh, damn, that's a cool mask. That's a cool mask. And they are just, Sean, like you're, you're agreeing with me, huh? Oh, yeah. I mean, I'm always a mask guy, but I do feel like it's been a lot. I else since we've entered a season where I'm like, there's a, there's a good crop of masks. Fuck yeah, you must have had a really tough 20, oh, brother, 2020, 2021, always being pro mask. Oh, I mean, I had a really easy 2020, 2021. Well, I mean, I didn't have a problem with the mask. Those people were complaining. I was like, mask up. Julia, where's a sleep mask? I gave her shit for the other night mask. Yeah, like a eye mask. I'm asked, oh, yeah, yeah, that was like, I was like, I was like, I'm a medical mask. You don't even go to sleep. The fucking spread, you know, it's just like bullshit. And she was falling. I was like, waking her up to get the jokes off. Just constantly pulling it down over her mouth while she's sleeping. No, no, no, pulling it down to here. I'll tell you what to add. I tell you I had a tough time with the masks and who was very pro mask, but just didn't fucking get it. My mom, she was like, I got yelled at the growth. I got yelled at at the grocery store the other day. I saw a friend and I said hello to her and the person said, you need to have your mask on. And I, but I was saying hello. So I went like this to say hello. I was like, well, I think that's why the person yelled at you. It's got to cover the mouth. I'm glad that the thought was there to wear the mask. Yeah, I thought, dude, the masks were fucking cool. The definitely by mask is the one that really, I kind of opted out on a lot of the, wow, this is a cool mask because I feel like that we're there every preseason. A lot of masks are cool. The Levi mask to me is the coolest one because of the, the middle bar. It does the grant fear, but it does full frontal and there it has the, the Devon Levi mask and get up with the Sean tweet, Devon Levi revenge body. I'm sick. Yeah, dude, that's my small goalie. I never give a fuck about that man. And whenever like we've talked about him over the years, there is tape of me being like, I don't know if that guy's going to be any good. I hope the best for him, but I don't really care about him. That's my small goalie, dude. Look at the little guy. The pads are awesome. The mask is sick, super simple, but it is a little, it is a little daring and a little bold to go all the way down to connect it to go all the way down. It's a, it is bold. I like it a lot. It's a, it's a unique move that I don't think is, is done very often anymore. Yeah, because people will do bar, they'll paint the whole cage, a color, right. But they're not doing, they're not doing a little racing stripe, if you will. Sean, how do you feel about the Devon Levi revenge, bud? I mean, first look, it was like I was sick to my stomach. And then I remembered he also had like the sickest pads consistently in Buffalo slash Rochester and it didn't get him very far, respect to that man. But I still think he's, my first thought was sick to my stomach. This guy looks awesome. My second thought was it's good for him that the Bakersville condors were the same colors. No, dude, Fred, you think Freddie Anderson's going to be healthy? You think Tristan Jari's going to be good? I will tell you the, the, the Edmonton propaganda machine is softly pushing Devon Levi. I would say that he has the most pressure on him out of any Edmonton oiler's goal tender, which is hilarious because he's like goalie three, but that's a, that's the oiler's goal tender, who always has the most pressure on him. Like last year, I was like, Connor ringer and better be fucking good in November, because they're going to need him. Yeah. I can't believe Connor ringer and didn't get a job. That's crazy to me. Did he not get a job? I was want to. It's, it's possible that there was some, hey, we'll give you nothing. And you might be in the age of a bunch, shout out to him. Good career. Yeah, Levi looks awesome. I won't get into who looks good in oilers camp right now because, uh, oh, with the Alex gives us the lead tweets, oilers, Jesus, you can just say the oilers look really fast and camp. Yeah. The, the oilers look fast and I saw a fast guy playing with Leon dry side. Oh, and I was like, oh, fuck. Don't play this guy with him because that guy actually will have a good season. And we're going to have to hear about a bunch of stuff. How about the Joseph Wall mask? That was the one that, well, one side seen two good masks. And this one famously, I'm not a big Lord of the Rings guy. Shout out the rewatchables. But, uh, I got that this was a Lord of the Rings reference. Mm hmm. Yeah. That's, uh, you shall not pass, which goalies usually shouldn't want them to shoot. Let's look back to our tap in. I think that like, you do want your goalie to pass sometimes, but there is a large engine of hockey fans that just think that goalies should not handle the puck whatsoever. Oh no. I thought that he was trying to project to the forwards, his opponents that, uh, you're not going to pass the puck. You're going to shoot it. And I'm going to fucking save you. You think that he's daring them to shoot it? He's daring them to shoot it. Yes. That's a good, that's a good interpretation. Well, let me think, uh, how's Philadelphia's defense looking? I mean, they've still got Risto this year. They do. So like, you shall not, Dave, Dave, you're a check. Yeah, he's, he's got, yup. There's team 33 for our guy. Not really. He's on team three. And if you don't count the, uh, the Cleveland monsters, yeah. But maybe if he's like, you shall not pass because I think you'll be able to complete that pass. So you know what, while I can see, uh, shoot the puck, I can make the first save. Chats interpreting it as the puck shall not pass the goal line. Like, that's it. So he's talking to hockey pucks. This would be the first I've heard of goalies being weird. I do like a, uh, Lord of the Rings theme mask in 2026. Topical, topical, uh, yes, you really put some of the chat in a fucking blender. What do you mean? Like, you know, like, there's a lot of people being like, I think just, yeah, I just not getting the bit. I guess that's a skill issue. Again, yeah, I know the number one rule. If words are spoken on this podcast without laughter. And if things are said with a straight face, that is the biggest indication we're joking. Excuse me. Uh, Heather Maggie says I can't unsee the dick in that one. Is there it? They're a secret dick. Wait, there's a dick. Oh, yeah, I guess that's kind of sick. That's a little. I see what would be. Oh, yeah, yeah, a dick in one ball, maybe, or maybe the other ball famously is on the other side of the mask, a side profile. Yeah, yeah, got to say, I also cannot unsee that. That's a very smooth. That's smooth the whole way in it. No veins, um, joking. All right, oh, that's AI. All right, I didn't get the vein. Okay, okay. Let's see in Hills now. Now this is very teeth forward. Yes, this way, this guy should be playing for the hometown remix sharks. That's not a lot of gums, though. Oh, mostly teeth straight teeth. Well, it's pretty gummy on the bottom. Well, maybe that's tonguey. Maybe it's more tonguey than it is gummy on the bottom of the, like under the mask. But okay, detail about this that is not shown in these pictures that these eyes are glow in the dark, which probably looks pretty sick during the Vegas pregame presentation. Oh, that's cool. I have taken this stance before. I don't even fuck about your glow in the dark tricks. No, dude, you weren't fucking there with. And I forget which goalie it was. It was one of the Bruins back up goalies one year in training camp was like, you don't want to see something cool. And I was like, we don't know each other. And he was took some water coming to this dark room. Yeah, no, no, the water started on his mask and it was a whole ass new mask. Yes, that shit is cool because you know what happens when you play in a hockey game, water sometimes gets on you. And you know what often doesn't happen. I would say most of the time, unless you're a Yukon Husky, usually hockey's played with the lights on. Well, that's why I was going to say it, I'm going to show that I'm going to open. If you're going to do it anywhere, Vegas is probably the place to do it because they do spend so much of their pregame in the dark. Yeah, and I guess it's like, yeah, and they're pregame is sweet. But like who gives a fuck about what your jersey looks like or what your mask looks like in the dark. Oh, but also like the pictures of him being like head down, getting ready to go out into the ice in the tunnel. Like he, he definitely just did it for a photo lot because it's like, well, he'd be the first person to do something a whole lot. No, he'll use it. Respect to that man. I think I think the people are, I think that a lot of people are rooting for that mask to be used a lot. Sure. It can be. Yeah, right. I think that it can be a nice feature. Like I'm not going to, not going to besmirch the, the good name of glow in the dark features, but it cannot be a primary feature of your mask. That's what I was going to say for your jersey, like when people were talking about the vagus jerseys that were glow in the dark. When it was just like kind of a boring jersey, I was like, cool. That jersey is pretty boring in the light. Yeah, and it's going to be the dark for five seconds. The jersey or the mask needs to be able to stand up on itself on its own without the glow in the dark, which I think this mask does. So then the glow in the dark just becomes a fun little fun little detail. Yeah, that that can be a nice touch. It can't be the heart and soul of it. What are my favorite masks? Oh boy, big year for Devon's and good masks because Devon Cooley's mask, which, by the way, also done by Dave Fried, who did Aiden Hill's mask, shout out Dave Fried. I love this flames mask. Lot of white and the good, it's really, I'm crazy about this. Devon Cooley can do no wrong as far as I'm concerned. That guy is fascinating. And did you see the video of him, like his wife was just like, this is what my husband does with his free time. Shuttle Taylor Swift. And yeah, so this is my husband. Devon Cooley was just doing like hard core math problems sitting at a computer and doing, I don't know if it was algebra or whatever kind of math. It was just shit that you will never encounter in your day to day life. People hated that shit in high school because they were like, we're never going to encounter this in my day to day life. Devon Cooley grew up, got a whole ass profession, lived parts of an adult life. And I was like, you know what I need to go back to and figure out this hard core math shit. I will say, well, depending on what he was doing, if he was doing algebra, linear algebra. Oh, yeah. If he was doing algebra, I would get back into algebra as an adult. That is the shit. Algebra is fucking cool. Algebra is like puzzle solving. Yes, exactly. I loved algebra every other math. I would say the geometry can get the fuck out of my face. The geometry is the biggest bullshit in math subject ever. Fuck, geometry, you know, it may be, but writing proofs isn't like that. Is that was the biggest waste of time I've ever had in any math class ever. I would say that geometry is more useful in a day to day application than algebra. Where are you using geometry in your day to day? Well, I mean, like, I'm personally not because I'm a stupid person who does a hockey podcast. But, I mean, like, if you're an architect or you're any sort of contractor, sure. Of course, that's, that's like any subject is only useful if you work in that field. Where is I mean, again, I think that there are more universal applications of geometry than there are linear algebra. That might be true. Yeah, but if you're just trying to get into it, if you're just trying to put in some work, do some math, yeah, the more you're trying to play games with your math. Algebra is a game, trigonometry, no way. And then when they try to slip that shit into pre-calc, and they were like, pre-calc, it's just like algebra. No, it's not. You are putting, it's a bunch of trigonometry. I don't like that. And I definitely don't like calculus. So I, I am mind, I am mind pre-calc. Statistics are bullshit. I'll say that. What? I hate it. It's a test. Where are I test, guys? So curl my Chenko. That is a crazy thing for a hardcore sports fan to say. No, like the, the math subjects statistics. Not like just stats and general. Like I had to take my freshman year of college. I had to take a class called the actual title of the class was statistics for liberal arts majors, because bullshit class of all time. It was literally titled math for people who will never need math. Dude, you know what I took? I took logic. You know about that? That is some real bullshit. Yeah. That is some, I don't know who it's for, why it's happening. You know about that? It's like a math replacement course. And there's, I think there's like a Latin in it. There's like modus ponus equals blah, blah, blah, equals tronus trolas. And one of my friends just like fucking understood it and was like, oh yeah, this shit's easy. And I was like, what's wrong with my friend? Mathematical witchcraft. It was weird. You want to know the power of Devon Koolie's nerdiness is that we just mentioned his name in his mask and it broke out into like a 20 minute math discussion and logic discussion. That's not, I don't know what that is. I think that if I went into a thinking I was, it was witchcraft. I would have been able to wrap my head around a little more. I was told it was, yeah, everyone is crushing logic. No, no, no, no. You got a, you got a big time pushback if you scroll up. Oh, really? Somebody was like, oh, fuck up logic is the best. Oh, I think they're talking about the rapper. She modus on my bodus till my logic. Jesus Christ. That's so good. Mathlon's celebrity. People keep saying logic of rapper fame. Logic is a streamer. Yeah, quit rap to be a full-time streamer. And I don't know how to put out an album basically about, he put out an album being like, I love my wife and then immediately divorced her. Logic did that? Yeah, man. Damn, that was chance of rapper's hold. He stole chance of rapper's, nothing more for bar for bar for bar. All right, this mask is not like the others. A lot of these are a lot more cartoony and just some good fine airbrush work. This, I mean, I guess it's their brush as well, but Jacob Markstrom, who might be in for a well of a season with the Panthers, as their only bad player, I love this shit. You can't totally, you can see how blue it is. It's super blue and then a very realistic Panther that does not match any of the Florida Panthers imagery. I saw this one from afar and I was like, oh, that's interesting. That's fun. Imagine there would be a bright, vibrant blue, goalie mask and I thought it looks cool. This is the first seeing of it close up and brother, that thing sucks. Oh, I could see people hating this. That thing stinks. I think it's sick until I, at first I thought it was sick and then I saw the side is literally just the Panthers logo and I'm like, oh, so this is just like a EA Sports NHL generic Panthers mask. Correct me if I'm wrong. Panthers logo on the side. I think that the, the fangs of the Panther are, they start at the top and they finish at the bottom like near the chin, and it just, what, no? No, I think there's top teeth and bottom teeth. No, it's like the top jaw, but look at the two white things that are right below the cage. Oh, no, those are the, those are the fasteners. Yeah, they look like buck teeth and that's what makes it funny and I can't unsee that. Am I right? Yeah, I mean, those absolutely are not supposed to be teeth, but once you look at it that way, that is impossible to not see. Yeah, it looks funny. Buck teeth and that is so distracting. Gotta have teeth, baby. Just wouldn't look right. Big season for teeth. Yeah, that's, that's a tough one, speaking of tough ones that anybody see Jacob Markstrom perform in last night's game. Having a tough one? Did you not see? No. Sucked? Sucked? Yeah. I saw that it was all the real ass panthers, like with weapons and guns and shit against like Eric Tolsky's, like nephews, he got, he had the puck on his stick. There were no canes in the zone and the puck ended up in the back of the net and the worst than that is that after giving the puck away straight off of his stick with no canes in the zone, he just waited for somebody to take the puck from him. He made the first save and then the second one went in. I was thinking about making the first save, okay? It's the defenseman's fault if the second one goes in, blaming the defense. Cody Bedford says, he will get better. I'm somebody who does not overreact to one game samples in the preseason, but I don't know what you've seen from Jacob Markstrom over the last like several years that suggest that he will get better as the season goes on. He doesn't react to one game samples in the preseason unless they're the rookie games. Those actually are important and tell you whether those players are going to be good, just so I want to apply any of that. That's it. J-Wall Try pants makes a good point. He should have the Lord of the Rings mask, he shall not pass. Yeah. He shouldn't have passed. He didn't. Yeah. Well, maybe so he should have passed? Should have passed. Okay. Sean, what you got? No, I was just going to say, I had that distinct thought when I saw his mask earlier. Like he probably got real excited about the prospect of going to Florida. He's like, oh, I get to be on a real team and then he got there and he was like, oh, yeah. I have to be on a good team like I have to work again. Yeah, exactly. Like he got, but he made himself an important network. I don't, I don't know if I agree with that spiritually because Jacob Marksroom has been really important at his job for years. It's just that him being bad at his job made his team not important. Oh, yeah. Have we discussed it? I mean, the devils have had other problems, but Jacob Marksroom was arguably one of the devil's biggest problems for multiple years. True. But didn't they trade? Didn't they get him thinking, hoping he would be the solution? Yeah. Yeah. They were like, we solved our goalie situation. Yeah. So they had a problem and I didn't like this is a, this is a team where he's like, they had a goalie. They, the only thing that should stop this team is having is having a bad goalie and he might be a bad goalie. Okay. So it lets us, it brings us to a point that I've wanted to discuss, especially now that Elliott Friedman has said, the panthers offer for Connor Hellerbuck was a bunch of the stuff they ended up trading for Brady Kachuck. Right now, do you think the panthers should have traded for Connor Hellerbuck or Brady Kachuck? Connor Hellerbuck. Sean. Oh, I mean, for a hockey reason, it's Connor Hellerbuck. It's just that you might be unlocking something intangible and magical by having the Kachucks together. I think it's Brady Kachuck. I mean, I still, I would rather, for that team, thinking you can figure out the goalie thing, which right now it doesn't look amazing. But if you have Brady Kachuck and you make the goal tending decent or okay, it's not, it's not like a team that doesn't have defenses making this. Like you have Seth Jones and Gustav Forzling and guys that'll play for $1 on that back end. Extra might suck, but Markström can suck and they can still win the Stanley Cup. Brady Kachuck, I think, puts them over the top. I can understand the argument. I was just more answering from a point of like, if this team had Connor Hellerbuck instead of Brady Kachuck right now, would they be better off? And I think the answer is yes. I still think that they can overcome having Jacob Markström, like they can go in other directions. I mean, the Carolina Hurricanes just won the Stanley Cup with Brandon Bussey in that. And that's not saying like anything bad about Brandon Bussey, but you can find your scratch ticket in that in cash in, especially when you've got an amazing team in front of them. So like, I don't think that having Brady Kachuck makes them worse or let it was a mistake to go get him instead of Connor Hellerbuck. I just think that if you swap the two, I'd feel better about the Panthers right now than I do with Brady Kachuck and no goal tending. Mimi Case has watched the Panthers trade first stew. I was saying with a straight face all along, Panthers should have signed stew. And now they can't trade first stew. Stoos like the most important goalie in the world right now. He's the only thing they have. I understand though. I don't think that I would go Brady Kachuck, but I also don't think that feeling Hellerbuck would be the guy is unwise because one makes it so your team has no holes and that's getting the goalie. The other that I just think makes your ceiling insane with Brady Kachuck football is finally back and prize picks is bringing out their best offer yet new users who sign up will get $150 in lineups. We just got a Sam Steele extension, four years, 3.7 million AAV. It's actually ponder now, but go on, nice. That is quite the bargain for that guy. What's the AAV? 3.7. Okay. That's real Marchenko money. Yes. Yes. That's damn near curl Marchenko money. Well, we're going to talk about some Dallas stars player in this next segment. Maybe shall we? Next week, obviously the NHL returns this week in addition to our normal grab ass. We're going to try to get you ready for the season and next Tuesday. It's all very exciting. Again, we'll back to four days a week next week. Today, we're going to chat about players on whom we're in. Players whose stocks we will buy. players that will be obvious I think I've got my broken into buying stock bounce back candidates being the two. Okay. Okay. Just like regular players who I think and whether that's a young guy or whatever, some players definitely are more bounce back candidate. You want to give me any? You want me to start throwing some out there? I'll start with one. It's a name that was pretty off discussed this this off season. Luke Evangelista. I really like to fit in New Jersey and I don't think that like he necessarily needs a quote unquote bounce back year, but we could be talking about breakout year. I just think that he fits the devil system and if he's paired with Jack Hughes, I could see those two tearing it up. So for buying stock, I got Pavel Zaka obviously contract year. And usually if you don't play with pasta knock in Morgan geeky, then it's just like kind of goodbye time. You don't get to have a lot of points, although Casey Middlestadt does make things happen. Right now, it looks like Elias Lindholm is going to play with pasta knock in geeky and I feel like that's still okay for Zaka. If he's playing with JJ Paturka and maybe it is Middlestadt and they're just like doing the who want me line just should be heavily upgraded going from Victor Arvidson to JJ Paturka. I think that the not getting to play with pasta knock thing is not going to be a death sentence for him. So I think that Pavel Zaka plus it being playing for money, I think Pavel Zaka's going to have a good year. So my only pushback there, I don't disagree with anything being said. It's just I feel like now is not a amazing time to buy Pavel Zaka stock because I feel like his stock has been raised over the past few years. So like the big pumped him with pasta knock. Yeah, or I mean like he just did well last year and has done well the past few years where he's just I think widely recognizes as a as a pretty good player. So I feel like there's not a ton of room to grow. There might just be room to keep at cruising altitude. I've got another guy that it feels stupid to have on this list and shouldn't count Jimmy Snuggerude. Oh, I think that I have I grouped a lot of the blues players together. I'm buying in on the blues forward group and that includes Snuggerude includes Dalabor divorce. Yeah. It includes Mason McTavish with a nice bounce back year. I like a lot of those guys in like Connor McMichael. I like a lot of those blues players. But Snuggerude it feels like completely has arrived and is already awesome. He what 21 goals in his rookie year got so much better and was getting better and better and better as the season went on. I think it's just like kind of obvious he's going to go off this season. I got a package deal written down. Some of these I have that I'll just spend like one second on, but package deal William Eclan and Michael Misa partially for show bit purposes. But also I think Eclan can be a 20 plus goal guy like being more of a featured player in Ottawa. And Misa I think is possibly the most logical year two breakout candidate. Yeah. I think that's probably fair. I would have taken the package of Eclan in Fabian's Eterland being reunited. Oh yeah. And I think from what I saw in early lines that they are they are playing together. They are playing together. They're flanking Dylan cousins. That could be a lot of fun. I like that one. I'll go back to the Bruins and I'll go in a different direction. I'm going to group together the kids. I don't even know if you want to call a marit who's need off a kid at this point. But first preseason game, Hagen's Minton, who's need off looked really good. I will take stocks in all three of those guys, particularly James Hagen's. I think the James Hagen's is going to pop this year. Fuck yeah. How about Anton Frontel? 2025 third overall pick played 12 games last season and was good in those games. The question's going to be for me. Is he going to get killed in practice? I yes, by art and blood. I also had some players under a like need more info category. And I think that Frontel might be in there because where is he going to play if Bidard isn't healthy out of the gate? Is he their number two center? In which case, that's a good opportunity. Or if Bidard is back, are they moving Frank Nasar to wing? Who ends up getting prioritized as far as opportunity goes? Because Frontel has to be a huge, huge part of this team taking the step it intends to take. I think the intending to take his big step is lofty. Well, I mean, they fucking paid for the, they fucking wrote the were taking a big step check defensively, I guess. Oh, Byram. Yeah. Not even to bow Byram to fucking Patrick Kane, brother. They show that. That is definitely not a we are taking a big step. They're trying to like make the playoffs this year. That is we've got money to burn. And this will be a fun story that gets people excited about the Black Hawks. But they are trying to be, and you'll agree with like they are actually trying to say fuck those picks, fuck the building. Like we are winning 15 more games this season. I don't think they're really trying to be good this year. I think they're trying to be better, which is like the, that should be the should always be the cooperation number one as franchise. I don't think that they have any aspirations of making it making the playoffs this year. I think they're going to make the playoffs. But I think that they have written the, with the Byram trade with spending money in the offseason, they're like, we are actually trying to do it. And if that happens, Frandel will be a huge part of it. I've also caught Pavel Minchikov written down because he basically has to be awesome. And he's going to have the opportunity to be awesome because there is not much else there on that Anaheim defense has to be awesome. And they wrote the, you're one of our two defensemen check to him as well. Yeah, I mean, I was going to go, I didn't, I didn't write this down, but I was thinking like, maybe Ole and Zellweiger is a guy that I would buy stocks in being on Buffalo's blue line. I think that he just like didn't get enough run in Anaheim. So I'm interested to see him in Buffalo. I wasn't willing to commit to that, but I don't hate Minchikov. Like, people were really, really excited about him at, at various spurts. And then the duck said, we don't even want this guy on our lineup. And then they became the party became very important and well paid. So got to hope he's awesome. Really, really got to hope he's awesome. I'll, I'll take another young defenseman who looked a little iffy at points last year, Cole Hudson in Washington. Obviously, the Hudson bloodline has a, a, a lot of success so far in the NHL. He looked very not ready at points last year, but it was so early and he was just thrown into the fire. I'll take Cole Hudson's stocks. I don't, I don't expect him to be Lane Hudson, especially this early on. But I think that he's going to have moments this year that people get excited about him as well. Okay, I've got a pretty thorough list of bounce back candidates. The most obvious one, Matt Fehmichkov is down 30 pounds from where he was entering camp last year. To which, by the way, I need to say, like, not victory lap, whatever, not I told, now we told you so or whatever, but like any of the pushback on the like, he wasn't out of shape. The coach said it and now the player, first of all, the coach is an asshole if he's saying it and it's not true. I was going to say, like, how much pushback did exist? If it did exist, I feel like it was squashed. Well, people didn't love the, maybe we were having too much fun with it or something, but it was met with not hugs. I feel like people didn't like the approach that maybe certain people talked to it. Yeah, number one, the coach. Exactly. That was fat. Yeah, it drops a bunch of weight. I think he's locked in. He's learning English. Yeah, big part of it. He's doing his press conferences in English now, which that actually is like, imagine working in a country and having the familiarity of your surroundings and being comfortable to communicate with people in their language. That's a big thing. Yeah, I agree with Eileen. I think the pushback was against Rick talk if we're not being able to shut up about Natfay Meechkov being out of shape. It was like, we get it already, pal. Yeah, I mean, we were doing that too. We were saying that that talk it could have been a little nicer about it. Yeah, big time. They were like, hey, Rick, you were late to practice today. Is everything okay? Do you have car trouble? And he's like, Matt Bay was a fat guy. Okay, guys, so I'll just, I'll tell you that first and foremost. Okay, yeah, but Meechkov was pretty damn good in his rookie year. He had 26 goals as a rookie. Last year, 20 and with the out of shapeness and probably just vibes not being great, he really faded was, got kicked out of a game and signed an autograph. I think that was last year. That was cool, at least. I think it's been a couple years ago. Okay, that was two years ago. That was back when, that was, oh, yeah, that was back when he was a slender man, was healthy scratched, late in the playoffs. That's how bad it got for him. I don't know who he's going to play with. I asked Charlie O'Connor. He said he thinks Denver Barkey. That could be really intriguing. A lot of potential there. But, I mean, he'll be on the power play. He's going to be better. He's, I don't know if he'll get back to 26, but HIK! Hey, like sky remains the limit for Matt Bay Meechkov, but I think it's a very important year for him because if there's another year of meh in uncertainty, then I think the flyers start thinking about maybe making other guys the, the center of this thing going forward. Yeah. I think that's fair. Well, I like, I, I, I think has probably passed him on the depth chart. Yeah. That is their star right wing. Right. I feel like he's already the centerpiece. Yeah, are we, are we kind of all in agreement? I'd be interested to hear from flyers fans is, is Mark Tone the face of the franchise or like the face of the future of that team? Or is it Mitchkov? I don't know. Well, by the way, while we're buying stock in flyers players, I would just like to, I didn't have this on my list, but I would like to renew my Jet LeChanco stocks, okay? Partially for show bit purposes, but it's time a player I would like. Not a good thing. So in a couple of like, like real ones, then you have like your AMC game stop stocks. They're like, we're doing this for the vibes. I can do a quick one on bounce back candidates. Jake Walman did not have a good year last year, even though there were fun moments because you're always going to get fun moments out of Jake Walman. He was part of why they were bad last year. Jake Walman did not have a good season. His contract starts now. I saw that he showed up on, I think it was Dimitri's list of like worst value contracts, one time seven for him at this point. I mean, maybe it was like pre all of these other contracts because seven times seven for anybody you're sure as an NHL player is like a pretty good value right now, but his contract right now, or once upon a time this off season was seen as like, hey, this could end up being bad. I think that assuming he plays with Connor Murphy, that's got a lot of like nice guys, a K.A. serious cop, absolutely ridiculous. What the fuck is he doing cop potential? I think that can be a fun pairing, but I also think it can be a really good pairing. So as long as Mike Babcock doesn't strangle Jake Walman, I think there's real potential there. I'll also quickly run down Thomas Harley, you know, you ask how good he is. My answer is better than he was last year. He didn't have a good season last year. He's obviously also this year, too, I think of his extension, maybe it could be year one of his extension, but he was a 50 point guy a couple of seasons ago. He's still 25 years old. I think you can get back there and probably then some. So give me some bounce back stocks in Thomas Harley, Quentin buy field as well. It feels, does he qualify his bounce back because he didn't go, he didn't like fall off but stagnated around two or three of expecting him to pop and it just hasn't really hit that pop. So I still feel like the stock price is low enough to buy in bulk again. Yeah. And you could argue, if you want to look at it with rose colored glasses, he is coming off of a career high in goals last season, but the point's dipped and it's really not about it dipping going up like it needed to go up a lot and if it didn't go up a lot, he stagnated. I don't know if he got worse, but you stayed the same. He did not become more important at his job, which I think is a failure. And now with with copatar gone and copatar gone and Hiller gone, I think will help. It's hard to say like copatar being gone helps by field, but it does obviously open up the spot for him to be the number one center on that team. And I think getting away from from Jim Hiller and the system that he runs might be beneficial. All right. Here's one that is not a show bit one, but kind of sounds like it. Am I allowed to ask about Lee is pet or something? It's a. Oh, I mean, new coach. I mean, it couldn't be lower. I mean, that's exactly why I think it's a very, very ideal candidate to bring up in a discussion like this is because his stocks have never really been lower. Stocks couldn't be lower, new coach, still young player, 27 years old, and if he's okay, if Elias Patterson is an okay player, his contract is no longer nightmare. Like he, I think he makes $11.6 million, which is a fucking albatross. If you're putting up whatever it is, like 40 to 50 points that he was putting up, but this guy's two years or three years removed, I'm sorry, from 89 points. He's four years removed from 102 points. I am not predicting he scores 102 points. But if he has a 70 75 point season, then $11.6 million is still not amazing, but the conversation with the conucks more becomes, hey, this team sucks versus, hey, this team sucks, and the money's bad. I just can't buy Elias Patterson stocks because early as Patterson stocks, I always stripped me up. I just don't believe what's between the years. He's, it's, is he in the Hubert Oak camp where it's, I mean, Hubert Oak was fucking awesome in Florida. It's just kind of when he went to Calgary, it was, it, it kind of fell through and he wasn't happy there. Patterson is just like, I don't know how much drive there is. Like I don't know how committed he is to being the best player that he can be, and I don't know if he's capable of getting around the own roadblocks that he puts in front of himself. Perspective Boston Bruins captain did have JT Miller's back. Did you hear? No. I did see what Miller said, which was quite funny. Let me see what did Miller say? I, when he did the, the golf thing with checklets, he was like, I had to, it's like they made like a PD joke in his, his, the backswing of his putter, and he was like, that's fucking crazy. That guy like ruined my life. It's like, that's like months of therapy or talking about there or something like that. Oh, wow. He's a great teammate. Nicky is a door off. He's competitive. He wants to win. And it just pissed me off when people made it like it was his fault over there. It wasn't his fault. Well, I could have also been a, it wasn't his fault. I chose to do. Wasn't his fault. Yeah. Uh, that one I'm not buying, I'd like to see it. I'd like to be wrong on it, but I'm not buying. I will, uh, will buy Devin Levi stocks. You say will, fun? Go to hell. Yes. Devin Levi, I will buy those stocks. I have been a Devin Levi guy since northeastern. I thought it would have happened in Buffalo, thought it would have happened a lot sooner than this. But I'll wait it out. I'll wait it out. And I'll cash in those stocks because like I said, there's no more important position in all of hockey than the third string goal tender for the admit tonight. Then the guy who's not supposed to play goalie for the others. I feel like buying stock in Devin Levi right now is kind of ridiculous. I feel like there's a group of people that you are a part of that have had Devin Levi stock forever. And now it is worth nothing. And so there's no point in so. And now you might as well hold on and still believe because I would have thought it would have happened already. I would say though that it's not bad. If you have stock to keep buying because I think the price is still low enough that like Sebastian Kosa stock is probably more expensive right now than Devin Levi's. And Sebastian Kosa is playing with somebody who is like a fucking good hockey player which respectfully to Tristan Jari with all due respect to Tristan Jari as always. That's I think Tristan Jari went to like a gay thing this off season or something. And I was like, okay, that's my goalie. Yeah. He went to like a parade or something and they had some kind of like inclusivity event type of thing. And I'm pretty sure he had the stick with the pride tape and all that. I remember seeing that. Further than a lot of players would go, I think I was going to say about Devin Levi in his defense is that he's never played for a good team. Like he never got a chance with the Sabers when they were an actual good team. Other side of that is that the Sabers held three goalies for most of the season. And Devin Levi was never one of them. So like they had and I get that they kind of ended up in a weird situation with Colton Ellis where they had to hold on to him because he showed a lot and they he would have gotten taken if they try to put him back through waivers. But I don't know, I have to it's a certain point I have to give up on Devin Levi or else it's just going to hurt me. Somebody asked about, oh man, someone asked I coward stocks and someone just asked Sam O'Reilly stocks. I got to say on I coward, I am, I'm not made of money here, okay, so I can't buy stock on everybody. I am waiting and seeing on I coward. I would love if they played him with with Mick David or dry side all and just said like here, you automatically get to get points now, but at home games, it does seem like Babcock is going to go Mick David dry side all together and then hope that everybody else as a result like earns bigger roles. I don't like that shit. I would play Howard with one of those guys, give him some confidence because he tore up the AHL last year and in the NHL and I think even in preseason, I think that people said that he did not look good in his first preseason game. I would say either play him with one of those guys or and they definitely won't do this. Make your fourth line, that good AHL line of last season, which is Howard Samansky. in Quinn Hudson. I want Quinn Hudson to get a chance so fucking bad because I think he's a pretty good player. They're not going to do that though. I think they're going to dink around and be like, here's five minutes with Jason Dickinson. Here's a second with Ryan Newgen Hopkins. And I just, I have, I'm nervous about I coward. And I want him to be good and I want him to have a good opportunity. I'm nervous. And I'm also nervous that Sam O'Reilly is whenever he gets like a full time shot in Tampa is going to be fucking great monster because that team knows what they're doing. That's how I feel about Savoy. Oh, dude. Get ready. While we were doing Saber slash Oilers talk. Well, first off, the only name that popped in my mind when you brought all this up as far as the sabers go is Jack Quinn. Like that guy needs to be a good hockey player scored 20 goals last year, but now he is going to be they lost scoring power. And they he's going to be on power play one and the power play for the sabers famously was dog shit. So I just kind of need that guy to be good. But I was going to ask about Sean Stock where are you over here, by the way? Shout out boys to men where are you out with a darn on their stock? Oh, darn on nurse stock and and Jacob trouba stock. I kind of put together impossible to evaluate because it depends on like what people think they're going to be like they're going to be better for the charts because they're going to be real defenseman playing on that blue line. But I'm not expecting them to be anything different than they've been over the past like few years. Yeah, I guess you're very flawed defenseman that are not going to do everything perfect. They're just going to be who they are in a place that hopefully appreciate some more because it's an upgrade from what they had. Yeah. And that's where I'm like I think they want to come to like the goalie stock stuff with Levi or even Tristan Jari. You're like, well, they should be better defensively because all anybody said last year with Edmonton when they were struggling during the regular season was like, well, what do you expect? They don't have a real designated defensive coach and they don't and you remember then it seemed like bat, uh, not Bobcock no block at like gunpoint had to bring Paul coffee back onto the staff. And they tried to cobble together like a penalty kill and a defense even with all of the what the fuck is going on with Babcock stuff. I think they should be better defensively. I'm leaving Ryan Shay out of the stock conversation, but I think that there's a very realistic chance that Ryan Shay is going to be Evan Bouchard's defensive partner. And if like I don't understand why the penguins let Ryan Shay go why they didn't sign him. So part of me is afraid that he secretly sucks, but he was good last year. And if all of the defense is a little better than yeah, they won't miss darn on nurse, but I'm just really expecting stretches of the season where I'm like, you know what would be cool? A big ass defenseman who will murder people and plays a million minutes. Wonder where the fuck that guy is. Um, I've got an obvious one that I am shocked that none of us have mentioned when the Sabers came up concellanus like well, yeah, I mean, he's in my like goes without saying thing though like we all love him so much. But I like him being on the list. So it's official. Yeah. Definitely official. I think he's going to be a stud. The only, the only like reasoning for not having him is because like we saw him become a stud at the end of last year. So who hasn't already bought stock on him? I mean, I think with the Sabers as it has been for several years, but I think this year, a bigger magnifying glass is just the young guys. Like that was Kevin Adams whole thing was like, we're going to be better because the young guys are going to take a step this year. And a lot of them didn't. And then this year, you finally saw like, obviously, Hellenus and Austin are awesome. Um, I want to see what Yuri Kalik looks like coming back from his blood clot thing. I already brought up Jack Quinn. I don't know how long he gets to be a young guy though. Um, and then yeah, the guys on the blue line like, uh, Louis crevier and and Zellweather like, say, you mentioned the Sabers being worse, which obviously on paper, they are, but they won't be if the young guys are good, uh, a shark's to a shark's defenseman on whom I will buy stock is Michael Kusselring, by the way, of course, because that's another one low on the floor. They're going to have some players who are maybe they won't do well with those minutes, but like Truba and Darnel nurse will take care of all of the getting smoked. And that allows like they might be the, uh, Ryan Worsovsky actually might be in a position now, just roster construction wise where he can put players in a position to succeed. And he's never been able to do that with their defenseman. Yeah. It's just been like, uh, can anyone breathe right now? Okay. Out there, like, I think that they'll be able to play, uh, someone like Kusselring with like a little more, a little more sheltered, more offensive zone starts, et cetera, et cetera, where it's like, Darnel nurse, go out there against the team's best players and we'll see what the fuck happens. Like, but you don't have to do that to younger players like Kusselring. One guy that I really, really want to buy on is JJ Paturka very low, very low. He's going to be important in, in Boston. And I think that he is going to be set up for success. Keep him. What? What are your expectations? Fuck it. Like he just get back to what he was like 20 goal score, 25 to 30 goals. And that's all I am expecting. Like you probably go quiet for decent stretches, but you got that guy expecting him to score 25 to 30 goals. And if you can do that, then that's what you wanted for, for the Bruins. I mean, Paturka is a primary reason why I think that, uh, Pavel Zach is going to have a good season. I'm just pushing back on officially buying stock in him because I think with knowing how some of the Bruins jerseys are going to look this year and him wearing number 10, I'm envisioning the ugliest jersey of the season this year. And it is a JJ Paturka hometown remix. Yeah. I think the number 10 move. I will also buy on Kalam Ritchie on the islands. I think he's going to pop this year so much talent. He's going to have like an increased role. I think the, the islanders against what Matthew Shavers hearing, I think the islanders can be better this year. Uh, I think Kal Ritchie is going to be a pretty good and pretty important player for that team in their picture coming forward. I will also buy on Vigo Bjork and Winnipeg. I think we've talked about their need to find centers for quite some time. I just think that the only reason that I'm not excited or the only reason why maybe it's not Vigo Bjork's year is because it's so early. I was going to say I don't want to lane Hudson myself again and say, I don't know if he should be playing in the NHL this season. I think, I think that he can and I think that he can prove you're wrong. Well, you can on that. Great. Yeah. On that team. I don't know if you do it, but why the fuck not? They're trying to make the playoffs too. Yeah. I guess I will take Vigo Bjork. I'm very excited about him. And I think that the, the spot is there. Like the, the highway is wide open for him to fly. Yes. Yes. Yes. Anybody else before we move on to the most important subject of the show? Let me see. Do I have any more? I think I emptied the clip. Karol Marchenko. This stock price is high, but like it's, it's easy. Like one of those players where if he gets traded and it's the right landing spot, like everybody flies to pick him up in fantasy because the numbers are just going to explode. Like I think that if Karol Marchenko lands in the right spot, God forbid, it's Montreal. Like he is going to be a monster. So get in while the price is as low as it's ever been. Not as low as it's ever been as low as it will ever be. Shout out to what not Leo loves Lion went to the Leo loves Lion went to the Sabers preseason game and snapped this photo at the pro shop saying, holy shit, pre bedazzle jerseys at key bank. And you see there, they've got Zach Benson, they've got Rasmus Tallene, Tage Thompson, and they are, that is right folks, pre bedazzled. And I saw that and I was ready to fucking do an episode. That shit looks cool. I like the sparkle. I like the bedazzle. And I thought that'd be that. I thought that we would show it and we would say, Hey, cool, saving everybody a little bit of time. I did not realize and I'm listening and I'm learning Shayna responded saying, I'm upset for all the girlies who spent so much time and effort actually bedazzling theirs stolen valor here. It really is similar to some of the like, you know, like you can have AI do something for you or you could put in the sweat equity and everything. And is it worth the time? Is it all these things? Like I kind of get it. If you made your shit and then everyone at the club is wearing a Zach Benson bedazzled jersey, it can kind of think to be like, Oh man, I spent all this time and they spent $60. Can I get into semantics chat? Yes. Cause that's not bedazzled. It's literally just glitter. But dazzled are when you apply the little gems to the thing. So I think it's still going to be a clear quality difference between the people who actually take the time to bedazzle their jerseys as opposed to this, which is just the letters. It's basically a Vegas gold nice jersey. It's just like the material has glitter on. on it. So it's problematic. Okay. Yeah. I was, I was going to ask that question. If they look the same, like, can you tell, I'm sure that a bedazzler would know if like, oh, that was just bought from the team store or something. But yeah, I mean, it's just, they're like objectively two different things. Like bedazzle is the little gems. That's just a glittery fabric. So then the question becomes, what is that? Is that cool? Is that good? Is that something that you should buy or should it be bedazzle it yourself or GTFO? I mean, famously, glittery jerseys are nothing new in the NHL. The Vegas gold and nights wear them full time. Exactly. Welcome to the show pizza that like Dishon said that. Damn. That's one for the day. And also the Sabers are not the first team to sell glitter jerseys in their team store. So it's that, like, that's not even that new. But it's just, I have no problem with it. Like, if you want a glittery jersey, have a glittery jersey, it's just not, there's no ethical assumption in capitalism. It's not the same as somebody who took the time to make their own actual bedazzle jersey. Like, it's just different. I will say, I'm surprised that they're, they're popping up in the Buffalo Sabers Pro shop because like, not to like typecast Sabers fans, like, I think even the ladies in Buffalo grill, like, yeah, full of grip. They want sand tables. They want sandpaper. They don't want glitter. I think, I think like my generation, maybe I don't think you have a people, like people that aren't in Buffalo, I don't think have a full understanding of like the grip that like that kind of glittery or like, AI, manufactured bills and Sabers gear has unlike the middle aged people of Western New York. So, so there's so much cooler. The more you talk about it, so I'm just, I'm thinking of the wrong Buffalo Sabers fans when I'm thinking about who's going to buy those jerseys. Like, these are not for like the hockey Twitter women. Yes, this is not for like the hockey Twitter people who are taking the time to make their, like, I don't want to, I don't want to diminish it by calling it arts and crafts, but like, that are taking the time to actually do it with their hands completely different. Like, the people that are our front row and warm-ups with signs about how much they love Josh Stone. Like, that's a completely different market than I think the people who would quite literally murder someone for Josh Allen. Like, those are the kind of people that are wearing the glittery jersey. So, are these, these, these fans can't be the same people. Like, they can't just be older versions of the gritty Sabers fans. Like, they just are caught from a completely different cloth and time. There's something that happened with the, yeah, I think it's a different, a different generational divide. Yes, yes, exactly. Okay. That's interesting. Okay. It's only the, only insights that somebody who is like, live in this life. Boots on the ground. Another question I'd like to ask, Sean, if you could put those jerseys back up, what you will notice is that there is not the fanatics F over those, those are brave. Those are brave. We did not. As a usual fanatics has to come out and be like, the, the thing at the team store, the, the guy that made that sign that we didn't make that fucking thing. Why? No, I was going to say that is not a premium jersey. Therefore, it is not screen seen. How much does screen seen matter when you are glitifying, not bedazzling and or bedazzling a jersey? I mean, again, doing this without Shayna feels horrible. I mean, again, going back to the Vegas example, sometimes the glitter is seen, the screen seen. So it is important to throw the distinction from fanatics. Hey, this one isn't. Okay. Sean, have you put, have you given it any more thought to whether or not you'll let me switch the name plate on your 77 potato jersey to again, La, because I'm starting to get to the, like, well, I don't want to fucking do it now because I also, it'll be a little bit of work and I don't want to do it. Um, but you really should get that changed. You could set it to bend or somebody and they can do that for you. Honestly, the only reason I wouldn't is just because of the fact that I feel like I'm erasing a moment and a moment in time in, in what chaos history. Like me having the shitty JJ Proturka jersey is kind of funny. Um, and like I said, I think there is something that is would be comedic about doing a really shitty tape job of again, love over it. Like that's a level of, of above board disrespect towards JJ Proturka that I find comedic. I respect your stance on that. That's what we would do for sure. Yeah. But I also like, I don't think it would be, I don't think it would be terrible behavior to have it replaced just because it's teach, but I agree, but also like, tease would be like, if I'm getting, if I'm like, if I'm getting a hometown remix Jersey, that is not a buffal of Sabers Jersey. Like, tease seems like a perfect hometown remix candidate too. Uh, and I, I genuinely have no idea, like, I have nothing about what the Utah hometown remix Jersey is supposed to be. So, I don't know. It just, it feels like an opportunity to get another Jersey, as opposed to erasing what is the worst Jersey that I own. Did you see that we had a, a number explainer from T. Gigantla this week? Go on. He, uh, he chose 77 because it is the year in which both his parents were born. Oh, because I was like, I was like, I chose 77 because rumors came out that year. Good year for music. 1975 to 77 was just bangers every week. He did it for his parents. Yeah. So, what was he, was he 12 before? Who's 11? Oh, he was 11 before. Yeah, he's a big double number guy. Oh, I thought you were doing some once I was seven years old Chad. No, that's what he was 11 once. No, I thought that he went from 12 to 77, maybe like, so he's went from honoring one of his parents honoring both. Also, the other again, I forget his name, uh, in Calgary is wearing 88 for Jerome Agunla at the worst stage of his career. I would love that wearing the Jerome Agunla number from LA is the best. I wonder what, uh, Jade is going to wear. I don't know if they, they have no, well, it looks like Jade at more 27 in college. So, uh, I don't know what that's about. Uh, I thought of a good thing to do for sports interaction. Okay. So, shall we do it? What's party? Yeah. All right, this is brought to you by sports interaction, sports book and casino. Every game is your game when you bet with sports interaction, bet the action on every period, every shift, every shot with Canada's homegrown sports book sports interaction Ontario or Alberta only must be 19 plus an Ontario, 18 plus in Alberta. Please play responsibly. It's all right. Correction, uh, T. J. Gilla was number 12. So he did go from, oh, he was 12 with Utah. Yeah. Yeah. Okay. I thought you were talking about Colona and Colona. He wore 11. But yeah, his first number, it was like in like camp and stuff was 12. Yeah. He went from honoring one of his parents honoring both. What a move. Uh, okay. I think the 12 was only because he couldn't wear 11. What she wore in Colona and 11 obviously has taken my dog down there. Okay. Uh, as we discussed the Chicago Black Hawks potentially making the playoffs, which none of us think they're going to make the playoffs, but we think they are pushing and trying to get closer to them. Uh, and we also discussed the Dallas stars. Let's look at the central division odds. Okay. In order Colorado avalanche, Minnesota wild Dallas stars and then the Utah mammoth are a bit of a long shot at plus 750. What's the difference between, uh, between Minnesota and Dallas? Because that feels disrespectful to Dallas. Minnesota and Dallas is very close. Uh, Minnesota, or I should say, uh, Dallas is, uh, sorry, Minnesota is plus 320. And Dallas is plus 360. What it is. I'm guessing Colorado is like plus one something plus 125. I mean, I would just, I bet on both of those. Like I think we've brought this up before. That division was super close all year. And there's no way that they get or Colorado was going to be at like, I would bet on both Minnesota and Dallas. Like I think there's a chance that one of them went for anyone asking about the Chicago black ox. They are plus 6600. Not bad. You'll Mario Lemue. Okay. I mean, they're not one of the mission fire. Yeah. If you want to donate to sports interaction. Can I interest you in the Winnipeg Jets? Uh, no, plus, let's see. You've never been in the Winnipeg Jets. So I saw a lot of pushback on, um, we did a breakout video on the Hella Buck thing. And a lot of Jets fans were like, why are you guys assuming that the Jets won't make the playoffs? Oh, because they did a couple of years ago. Yeah. And like, the biggest reason why they made the playoffs and then why they won the president's trophy. And they stuck last year without Connor. That was my point. It's like, we were talking about the Jets probably not making the playoffs. If Connor Hella Buck's not there, Connor Hella Buck had a bad season and the Jets completely like the bottom fell out because that team goes as far as Connor Hella Buck takes them famously fair. All right. Let's do some super chats. Shall we? Oh, yeah. Let me, uh, put a bow on it as it were. Every game is your game when you bet with sports interaction from puck drop to overtime bet with live odds on every play with easy deposits and payouts go to sportsinteraction.com/wokass to open an account Ontario or Alberta only must be 19 plus in Ontario or 18 plus in Alberta. Please play responsibly from young greedy tastiest season yet. LFG baby. Thank you very much pal Karen says does this mean Chris Ryan 3 a.m. Trade deadline guest. Yeah Chris Ryan is absolutely welcome on my go I have done a little bit of. Retro of yeah a little bit of like this guy a hockey guy he doesn't need to be that's the thing he's a Philly guy I know that he's a Philly guy and I've been told through the grapevine that like maybe a around the playoffs he's excited and getting up but but please you do not need to give on fuck about hockey to be honest seriously. I've been told that there are a lot of people at the ringer who are like not necessarily closeted but like under the radar fans. Bill is like put me on text with other people from the ringer who are like big hockey people and have like experience working in hockey and the fun thing about this is I don't know if though and those people are like so excited to have a hockey podcast I love hockey and I don't know if those people have checked out our show. I said to one of them I was like we talk about maroon 5 like a lot during the I sent the the misery clip and I was like this was during the playoffs. This is like when we're supposed to really be doing hockey stuff. I'm not seeing the problem yeah oh exactly they were like fuck yeah. Yeah because it doesn't love. Yeah I mean I think there's been a lot of celebration of like the ringer getting a hockey thing and I'm aware I was careful what you wish for. Yes. Oh my yes you are getting three men taking turns having depressive episodes and maroon 5 chat right on perfect fit. Oh yeah. All right from Steph will the ringer make you guys start on time now. No I guess it's 100% like again we're calling the shots we will be late. I'm buck pucker says I'm scared what is the ringer. It is awesome movie with Johnny Knoxville. Yes it is again this will don't be scared of this it's a good thing hockey analytic says congrats on the move both time we had a crest loyalist like Sean at the ringer I've seen this a couple of times what is a crest loyalist Sean someone who's loyal to the cruss. Oh that makes sense as I ask. I don't know how I said I didn't mean that for that to be a dick but I don't know how else to explain toothpaste gang. You put a little stink on it Sean. Yeah well I that's why I say I don't know how else to say it. Well like aren't we all loyal to our various questions. It's I think it's a thing that's kind of become popular on Saber's Twitter about being a cross loyalist loyalist of the crest but yeah I mean I think anybody can be loyal to their perspective crest. Anna Reeves writes says I usually use these for some kind of fun but today I just want to say congrats well deserved. Thank you very much pal. Merck says for the what chaos rewatchables episode. Ashley says or my celebrity Jersey to the Haley Williams show in Detroit Saturday never gotten so many compliments on an outfit in my life saw man in a pasta Jersey where your Jersey's out friends yeah I almost fucking I almost did Walman on Saturday but it just it didn't go with the outfit and I chickened out so I wore the oilers jacket. I was gonna say if you're wearing a Walman Jersey that is the outfit. That's the outfit yeah like everything I'm gonna go with that. I'm a big fan of like hockey Jersey out of context. Like concert hockey Jersey. Oh it's just a lot. I was driving home from my aunt's house last Sunday I think you got another accident. Yes. 10/3. 10/3. Somebody has car into a wall. Nice. No it was my car thankfully so it stays untouched although my car famously is missing a mirror because I drove it into a support beam at the office. Oh those things will get you. They will get you. I'm not slagging you there. Sean's like I do get into car accidents. It's usually at the office though. Yeah. It's usually and it's usually a single car accident against an in and a bit of object that did not move and was there the whole time. I was driving home 10/30 pm dark at night near my like in the small town I live in and I saw someone running down the street in a in long pants a button down shirt and over that button down shirt a Nick Suzuki Canadian Jersey just running down the street at 10/30 pm. Look like he was fresh out of the draft. I was so confused. Was it over? Yeah. It might have been I don't know what he was doing in Buffalo. But just one. Yeah. We're hockey jerseys in places you wouldn't expect them. Yeah. I'm trying to think of it. If I've seen a jersey recently where I'm like what is the story there? Like the guy who won the the fanatics jersey last year, which by the way, we're doing that stream again. And this time it's going to be bullshit. It's going to be for the first time ever. It's going to be bullshit. What did my man choose? It was the it did Jets one. It was the Jets and the Gladys to have a mess cough. I think it was an domestic hog. Yeah. I think he lives. I'm pretty sure he lives around here. That fucking rocks. Like I'm so excited for that that dude to be walking around. Did they fuck up the jersey too? No. Oh, they didn't. No. No. They. Oh, no. I did. I didn't tell them to send it forever. No. No. DJ did a bit with the fucking Photoshop where all the numbers were. He refused to acknowledge that he was doing a bit in classic fashion. Yeah. Yeah. Anyway. No, no. But I did like because he didn't get his jersey forever. And I was like, Oh, fuck. I never did it. Anyway, he I want someone to see that guy walking around and be like, why is that jersey there? Nothing will ever fucking top though when I was at a Bruins game. And I saw someone wearing the Jake Walman gross jersey and bugged them about it. And they were like, yeah, I did it because like I saw some guy on Twitter tweeting about like buying the Jake Walman gross jersey. I was like, Friendo. Got news for you. This is a big moment for you. That's so good. Anyway, let's see Ben says Ben Kingsley says happy preseason and CRJ album to all who celebrate. I haven't listened yet. I've seen a lot of people asking for my opinions. It makes me a bad fan. But I'm I'm I'm storing up the energy and the the will to listen to it. I have been disappointed by what I've heard so far in the pre-release stages. So I'm just kind of like getting my bearings and getting ready to get hurt. And if I'm wrong, I will be so, so happy to be wrong. Morgan Lizzie says we as a society have moved past the need for Sam Ponder hockey. Hey, now, uh, low bearing wokeness. What? He's like being an anti Sam steel. I unless there's something that I'm missing. Like I don't I don't know why anybody would have extremely strong feelings on Sam steel one way or another. Yeah. Yeah. Pretty good player. Same low bearing wokeness says Carly album is maculet feels like fall outside and hockey is back. Also, my Hokies are visiting BC this weekend. Shout out Luke Reynolds. All right. That gives me a little bit of positive momentum. Go to BC game. No, I went to BC game hockey. No, no football. No, it's five. Matt Ryan. Yeah, you can see some Zay flowers jerseys. I went two years ago. They beat Syracuse football, which is a big stroke program. And so the only way that I'm doing that is that like if BC is playing at a time in which like there are no other games. I'm not going to go to a busy football game in the middle of a Saturday and dedicate my college football Saturday to BC. Yeah, I had an extra ticket to Tyler Ballgame, uh, who put on the greatest show friend of the show, actual friend of the show, who shut out Wayne Whitaker. And, uh, I, uh, a lot of my friends were already going and I had no one to give the ticket to. And Julie was like, why haven't you asked Pete? And I was like, I am positive. He will not leave watching college football. And I texted you and you were like, but thank you so much. But oh my God. No way. Lane Kippen is doing shit. Yeah. There's no, nobody was pulling me away from Ole Miss LSU on Saturday night. I'll come to, I'll come to Boston for Syracuse BC football in November. Catherine says watching live hockey is back. And I'm taking my kiddos to their first NHL slash Bruins game this season. Life is good. Michael tomorrow. Michael tomorrow night. Free season. Yeah. Nice. I, um, yeah, I think I'm going to try to get my nephews to some fleet games this season. Try to like start them as fleet fans. I like that. Yeah. I know. I should have gotten season tickets, but I, I didn't want to be a season ticket holder who only goes to like a third of the games. Uh, sheerer says, Marton joined the season off a great NCAA campaign at MSU and played on high vibes. Meechkov is still a solid player that struggled in a sophomore slump 20 goal season. Overall, more tone, Marton is a favorite your chat I'll play off. Mimi says congrats boys in honor of original friend of the show and returning friend of the show Brad Martian. Here's for the technical support of the show slash keep Sean fund. Yes. Don't ain't going nowhere. I did at the outside of the Tyler ballgame concert. I met someone a what not called Emiline who is very nice and me chatted about hockey and she wanted to make it very clear that she listens for Sean and Sean is the one who says the smart things and Sean is the good part of the show and I said you're trying to get a disagreement out of me you came to the wrong place pal but I always say to you but no no no I said to where I was like oh yo people come up to me and they're like hey do you know Sean I love you start to be like you start answering that question now if anyone ever asks you do you know Sean I want you to answer no it's I hey I love the show gotta let you know I do not respect you yeah you are not why she wasn't she wasn't hating but she was like Sean's the best huh and what am I gonna lie and say no Jay Walter Hypan says don't forget the little people now that you've hit the big time and a damn thing change in folks are still coming up you four days a week you're talking you're doing a lot of Devon Levi talk who are you to forget little people that's true you were you're a big little people respected today that's right yeah that's my small goalie yeah yeah you're a big time had the energy of like Trump that's my black friend that's my small goalie look at my small goalie look at my everybody I've talked about him as a prospect and now suddenly he he became a small goalie yeah the way he fucking stops to think about who's like yeah I'm going for it he's never not gone for it yeah not not the best uh Mimi says was superchatting for my phone here's the additional forty three oh one to make it around sixty three oh says y'all see the wild fan who wants these tickets yes Sean you see that shit yeah don't that shit shout out very good Matt friend or foe says does moving to the ringer mean that Sean finally gets PTO no we do we we get that right Sean you get that Sean is officially becoming an employee of me and Pete that is a funny part scary yeah yeah to be fair I don't know what that's supposed to mean we pay you on time yeah I uh here's a wall out here to open one of my friends did suggest though he was like oh you know what that means performance reviews oh hell yeah you got to call Sean in for meetings you got to have him do a self-evaluation Sean we're going to put you through the sexual harassment training oh yo let's keep showing compliance trainings no I'm going to start doing the the who was it like I'm going to start I would write down every transgression for the inevitable lawsuit now that you're the employers Sean you should all going to go crazy you should have always been doing that yeah like you're starting keep on mentioning they keep on referencing Donald Trump in January 6th and it's making me incredibly uncomfortable hostile work environment no that's the stuff we do on the show I think that's what we do off the show I do way worse I told you one time uh one of my friends text me and he was like been listening to your show it's good stuff uh not sure about this Sean guy and I was like oh why he's the best and he was like I seem a little comfortable saying some stuff and it took me a couple of minutes I was like oh not that it matters but it doesn't this I do love the idea of like there's probably a group of audio listeners who are like this is my favorite podcast because they don't know what we look like if they don't know any of it's a bit oh yeah they're like oh yeah they're edgy like generally January 6th there's on a on a hockey podcast exactly what I've been waiting for haven't mentioned this part of the the ringer deal I believe that once question that's you know the upgrade you know what the WCLU is yeah okay I don't know if you want to I think don't uh the WCLU is an independent organization that's true I mean we're still independent even though we're joining the wires network yeah but they're saying they want to join another union just just be just work in tandem you're already the best union I'm saying they already work together with the WCQ you yeah the I do like the relationship WCQ has with the WCLU I think then WCLU was very gracious in allowing the formation of the WCQU because they were first shut out I forget their names but shut out uh the lesbians that began unionizing that was the a great day I think that was a pd episode too he was uh pd's gonna be on soon by the way uh we're very excited uh to you know this Summary:
