NFL Draft Week Buzz: Everything I’m Hearing and a Top-10 Flash Mock

We've got graphics. We've got video. It's kind of all new to our group as a whole. And I'm pumped about how far we've come in one year. What I'm also pumped about is, and let's get right to it. There's a lot going on. And it's not just the giants trade with the Bengals. It's a lot of conversations and a lot of phone calls being made from one general manager to the other. And just talking, trying to figure things out, and then talking to other people about, what are you hearing here? But let's start with the giants. This is the breaking news. This one's unique, man. Bengals trade, it's player for one pick. And some people think the Bengals got fleeced giving the 10th overall pick for Dexter Lawrence, who they're bringing in for two years at $28 million. Some people look at this roster and say, you know what? We got Joe Burrow, we got you, Marcheys, we got T Higgins, we got a pretty good run game. And we brought in Jonathan Allen, boy, a Maffe. We've already got BJ Hill in there. We got Miles Murphy. And if you're the Bengals, and we still got four picks, or three picks, I should say, 41, 72 and 110 in the top 110 overall. Four people are saying, what a move by John Harba, by, I think by Joe Shane, by the organization for the giants, recognizing this is a player who was offered around $28 million for more years as my understanding, and just kind of seen it through. He had seen where other players from the organization had gone and wanted to be the next name up, including, especially, say, Juan Barclay, right? So seems like both sides are happy at this point. Yeah. That's what they want, and we're not here for the Bengals talk right now. We're here for the giants talk, because now the New York football giants own a fifth of the top 10. And they're kind of in control, man, because I don't know for sure that they're absolutely done. Like I know that there's the, we'll get to the Kansas City Chiefs in a little bit. I know there's some teams that might be trying to get up there for an offensive lineman, how far are you willing to move back? Could they wind up controlling, pick nine and 10 and still get, I don't know, but I don't know. Kaila down to safety. Yeah. And would say Jordan Tyson, but I want to get into that part. Okay. Currently they sit there at five and 10, the giants do. They've got needs at wide receiver significantly with with Malik neighbors, like we're not 100% sure he's going to be 100% and like all systems go by the start of the year. They they had we had interior defensive line bench as the number two need coming into the draft and that was not that was thinking that Dexter is going to be back. Right. Linebacker guard tackle to a certain degree safety and corner. Yeah. Where do you think they're going to go and I'll tell you what the Intel saying. I sunny styles screaming at me. You can line back from Ohio State there at five because they've got to improve the run defense and there's you have no defense of tackles now. They're going to have to adjust that later on the draft. There's no value there for defensive tackle. There's no defensive tackle worth taking at five. You have got got to improve that run defense. And I think the best way to do that if you stick and pick there is sunny styles. So the people I've talked to on the phone this weekend and I had a lot of calls and it got weird last night because I had to wake up before 30 in the morning to get on that flight with you from from Boston to LA long haul. And and they were going it was going late and I had an eating dinner and I took three protein bars, eight of them as getting into bed not to over share here. But there's just a lot like it was like all right calls are kind of wrapping up here texting and then all of a sudden the news breaks and it's like you know pick it up see it. I mean it's awesome. It's what you want it's draft week. There are people who are of the strong belief that that sunny styles is the guy and I can tell you this for a fact. If you want sunny styles you got to get them at five because it's not going six unless Dallas were maybe to trade up there if that's what they're intention and we'll get to all this later. But he's going seven. So I'll just tell you that right now. The commanders right. If sunny styles are sitting there for the Washington commanders I'm told I'm pretty damn good authority. Dan Quinn that's his guy. Okay. Now I've heard other people say man they really like maybe it's maybe it's down. Maybe it's Caleb down to safety. Just and I was even watching some tape on the flight out here. I was kind of like we're doing some stuff for a video getting ready and I'm just watching down play and I'm like man I almost sometimes you forget because you get so caught up in all this noise and he's he didn't run a 40 and he just doesn't have this length. I'm watching the son of a gun just wreck people's dreams like their offensive coordinators quarter back through all the little things he does and the physicality he breaks. So keep that in mind. Five's early. Five's early. I don't disagree. And therein lies the rub of what already people I'm talking to in the league are kind of asking themselves. There's a lot of buzz about the chiefs and people in the league don't know how real that is. Let's just jump to nine here because it's important in the context of this bigger picture conversation. We'll get to like the maybe they're talking with the cardinals and when people are talking they're talking like you you're called reaching out to everyone if you have any interest to go up and just get in a sense like would you even be willing or when we get eight minutes remember it's not 10 not the old days of 15 it's eight minutes on the clock we better you know we better be locked in and I don't need to be wasting 30 to 60 seconds on a phone call right so I am told again on really good authority Andy Reed is hell bet and I want to throw to you on this match on figuring out this offensive line and protecting quarterback who is the epicenter of everything that is success Kansas City chiefs who's coming off of an injury. I also know Brett Vitch is controlling the board and looking at this and saying who could be here there and what if we get an edge rusher there you know so so those discussions are happening. Bringing it back to the giants though I know we're bouncing around that's what we do bring it back to the giants I got murdered on X for the chiefs take by the murder about off the rush we did a deep dive last week and if you have the go to the website please check it out it's the ringer comm slash mcshay this past the past four days we have put put out breakdowns for every all 32 teams and I went deep into the NFC and he went deep into the AFC and when he came back with after really diving in he's like I just think the chiefs man like don't sleep on the chiefs offensive tackle at nine because we know this tackle runs going to happen okay. So the chiefs are sitting there and there's talk about them moving up to three but there's also talking the league of hey if it's really and this is the whole point I'm bringing it back to and I recognize I bounce around sometimes just hang here because it's going to be a wild ride because the conversations were a wild ride. If the giants really want Caleb downs or they're like we'd be thrilled with either styles or downs which I'm actually hearing that like that they love both they love both of these players. You can get them at nine. You can get down tonight. Not sunny styles I just told you sunny styles is going seven to Washington if he's on board and I'm I actually believe that's if Jeremiah lover on the board too. That's that's what I'm here strong. Okay strong. It's sunny styles to Washington at seven if he's not a New York giant at five or if a team doesn't trade up to six. So my question would be and this won't we won't get an answer this on the clock. If the chiefs don't move up to if the chief don't move up to three and we'll get to the carnels in a minute. What if they go to five to get ahead of the browns and don't forget about this chiefs connection with Andy Reed. Right and the former head coach wedding ham right who's now at Michigan. They were teammates at BYU and so obviously you're going to get the best information and there's a trust level and so as Andy's looking at this to say we've got to get offensive line and we don't want to give up everything it takes to go to three. Maybe we could do it to five. The giants can move back and get their guy. There's just a lot of chatter about that. Yeah it's interesting now we're trading up for Spencer. Spencer. I don't know what a roller coaster for this and maybe would maybe would be Francis Maui Noah. It could be yeah but I mean what a roller coaster for Fano who's been the number one offensive tackle on the board. Guy was going to be a potential top 10 pick. All of a sudden he's going to free fall because of the arm like now he's back in that conversation. It sounds like whether it's them or someone else he's going to go early so I didn't I want to be clear about it like I don't I would thought the chiefs would take one later in the first round. It sounds like they might might not be able to wait for an offensive tackle and that's the thing we've been talking about it for over a month now these offensive tackles are going to go. I don't think until I've got on the phone and talking to different GMs around the league I realize maybe how fast and how dire teams are to get one and how willing they are to pass up on a great wide receiver or safety or a linebacker to get one because it's a game of musical chairs and I've dropped down on my notes right. O.T.'s fly early. Five if not three is when the run could start. Six is going to be an O.T. unless Cleveland doesn't move out. Nine now of a sudden Kansas City all the chatter on offensive line. The giants at 10 if they don't take one at five could be offensive line. Then you got this little law. Baltimore excluded could be the the guard Vengeuana from Penn State but offensive tackle specific Detroit at 17 Pittsburgh at 21 Philly at 23 Houston at 25. Keep an eye at Chicago two by the way. Keep an eye at Chicago. Yep. I think those are the exact spots where they're all picking but you get my point. So armed with that information there's there's urgent the market these tackles the markets there. I don't think people had gauge the market. I don't know if I had gauge the market correctly two three months ago. There is a much bigger market than it might seem looking in. And the same thing happened last year. Yep. I mean the same the same thing. I mean it was Kelvin Banks. Well Campbell's not going to go that early when he goes that. Campbell goes for Kelvin Banks goes eight eight and in between there was the jets took Membo our mom and move from Zary. Yeah. Seven I think it was. Yep. Everyone thought it was going to be the tight end warring or at one point and then there were different there was different speculation. So that's important context before we get to some of the juicy stuff right. You love this show. It's your favorite. It's my favorite show of the year. And it's tricky because I'm making sure I'm not stepping on on landmines because I've notes and I've quotes and I've things that I can't say but I got to be you know but there's just excitement and I honestly was like it's kind of going to be chalk. I feel like and maybe there'll be one trade all of a sudden even before the giants I'm getting all this different stuff and now the giants thing happened and now they kind of there's this pole position where they can maneuver within the maneuver right. Yeah. So so that's that now let's go back up to the top we obviously know Fernando Mendoza is going to be the choice with the Las Vegas Raiders. Let's get right to two. I'll be the first to admit it. Whether I fell for it I trust where I got information. It was my understanding as I told you last Sunday we could go it was not decided between our Vellries for the New York Jets and and David David yeah Ohio State Texas Tech respectively two past rushers one we know exactly what we're getting in Bailey coming out of Texas Tech he is fast he is proven the stats are there he's been doing it his whole career from Stanford to Texas Tech and he did it at the highest production level you could imagine this past year but he's lean there's some tightness and if you really study in Montape it's a lot it's speed rush and it's speed rush and offensive tackles are really smart and you played the offensive tackle positions Steve and you know even though that guy is a lot faster than me if I know I don't have to worry about the power or that that sharp outside in I'm going to get a beat on it yeah you just use that yeah right so there's that and and he's not great versus the run and probably never will be good player can be disruptive but not that consistent hard edge set and guy then you got our Vellries one year starter and that one year as a starter was a conversion right and so in a lot of people's minds it was like the safer pick is the proven guy in Bailey here's my information it's our Vellries at number two and you want to know why from from the information I'm getting because our Vellries is a safer pick and and I will be the first to admit I do not know Darryl Mouji I don't know we've never met and there's very few in the league that I haven't at least matter these brand new to the jump and I look forward to the time but so I'm trying to dig a little bit on who you know what what's this guy about yeah and remember along came Polly yeah Ben Stillers role he was kind of like a human risk risk management yeah insurance guy yeah but like he was like the guy like he was the hardest guy passing then you have the Australian guy hang gladden and jump in the film steamer hoffins like maybe his greatest role he said so many good roles but I loved the best anyway Mouji's kind of that for my understanding and I and by the way that's kind of the captain you want the head of the ship you know like he is it is risk aversion in the first three rounds as my understanding and not like that that's what it should be you need like calmer head but it's league wide or just I guess nationally it felt like well if you want to go with the safer you you burden hand is what I used is what I was saying about Bailey you know he's a pass rush right but but yeah you do but what if he's a DPR what's the fail what's the fail on our bellries you at the the face you think it's Devon Lloyd you think that if he's if he doesn't work out on edge he's turns into Devon I don't think he's gonna be quite as good as Devon Lloyd but I think he's gonna be he's gonna be one of the better off-ball linebackers that can rush okay yeah I mean if that's what you think I get it I get it but it's still where yeah I don't know man okay I don't I love both of them I don't think that David Bailey needs to be I think it's it's got to be close I would imagine it's close in the building because I think it was close enough that I don't think I was getting lied to maybe I was yeah yeah that last week that it wasn't here's the thing that everyone in the league has told me and and this is one thing I believe in from a football standpoint because today's tonight's goal for us is to talk about what I'm hearing but also talk about the football what makes sense does it pass the sniff test is it right and what's what's always made sense to me in the conversations I had with with people in the league going back is like it's important for you to like our Val Reese's sideboard our Val Reese's like half human like he's he's just a special athlete that's explosion the power they but you better have a plan and that made all the sense in the world like GM better be in lockstep with head coach and defensive coordinator in this case it's and I said on Sunday and I repeated this week there what in my conversations there was an element of AG don't know like we'll see haven't haven't made the final decision well and and quite honestly David the David Bailey canceled 30 visit could have gone one of two ways and we explained that to you earlier in the middle of last week yeah but you're point about that sticks with me man what like just even if you're not even if you're taking him and you want to use it on like you still want to come in the building you still want to visit him you still want to spend time with them oh hundred get him around the team getting around the facilities it felt like I don't think that's not right to the young man to bring him in here and then and then four days later or six days seven days late we're just not going to take right that doesn't seem like it seems like let's let's class this thing up a little bit yeah so so there's that so but you don't have to agree with it I actually do I actually think the more I think about it if our biggest thing is when we can't miss on this guy and I'm not saying David Bailey's going to be a miss but as a human risk management yeah corporation a one-man corporation I think Mouji's looking at this and has a G saying here's our plan that's parts critical because you can love him and think he's the safest but if you're if you're head coach and defensive coordinator doesn't have a clear plan that has he's described for you what's the point let me ask you this yeah There's the risk when you're looking at this risk management. Five years from now, you take, you take Reese and he turns into a, even a devin Lloyd type linebacker and David Bailey turns into a double digit sat guy pro bowler. I mean, that's tough. Yeah, but, but there's a chance. There's a chance if we're just being honest about it. There's a chance that David Bailey doesn't like he's got to get better against the run. You're right. I'm going to get better against the run and there's a little bit of tightness that I can, has always concerned with him. And when I go back and I watch all the sacks and I watch him, he's awesome. I don't want to like I'm not, he's going to be a top five helps, whatever it is pick. And we can kind of walk through it in a minute. A lot of his production comes, he's just faster. Yeah, he's more explosive. You know, and he's relentless. And so I don't know. They obviously see it one way and I get it. I mean, I actually see it the same way. Yeah, I don't know. Bailey's longer. He's a little bit thicker. I know I'm getting an edge. I don't know if I see it the same way. Okay. When you're playing, I mean, you're talking about playing it safe now. Like you're talking about playing it safe. This guy's been playing the edge position for forever. Well, I'm going to give him you four days until the until it comes up on Thursday night when they're on the, on the clock after the Raiders go through the ceremony of anointing Mendoza. And I want you to dig deep and I would go back to the table, back at the hotel and I'll do the same. So I want us to actually, and if it's Bailey, then we could talk to the other side of it. You've either way. I want to have that stern eight minute discussion. Maybe not all eight minutes. We might want to preview the cardinals coming up. But I want that to be a at least a two or three minute conversation where we stand firm on it and we can go back and track that. But that's what I'm hearing. So what are the carinals doing? Get this. I've been saying all along. There's a voice in the car. I don't know if I can take it. That is been pushing for a lot. I think I've been saying, I don't know February. Let's call it. It's been it's been a while. But it's been over a month. You was like your first mock. I think you put them in there, right? And there's been a voice. I'm hearing that voice carries more weight than maybe I thought. I'm told if Arizona sticks, it's Jeremiah love. I'm also told I don't know that there's a team in the top 10 more eager to move out of that spot than the Arizona cardinals are at number three. Yeah. And I'm hold on to that for a second. Jeremiah love it. Three thoughts. It's early. It is early. And I love the player. And we just talked. We just had this conversation about Tennessee. I think there are people. I'm if this is accurate information, I think there are people that that are in that building that are trying to explain that part to you. Yeah. You like your structuring the show is like this show on teams. And I'm dying just to say this Jeremiah loves not getting out of top five, right? According to my information, if he doesn't go through, he's going number four to Tennessee. There I said it. So like this, like obviously the league views him a different way than maybe some other people look at the history of the position and the position of value. And it just seems really early to me. But he's the best player on our ball. He's the best player in the draft. There's no question about it. So like he's so much fun to watch. So when we're applauding all the gems that we were talking to with the combine, when you're saying, like, don't pass on a Hall of Famer, take the best, you can't go broke, taking like a profit. Like these take the best football players. And now one's going to maybe do it. And you're going to be like, Oh, I don't know. Yeah. It's going to be the seventh, the highest, the highest paid running back in the league. One, you're not wrong for calling me on it. I totally understand you calling on it. But where I would say there is there is a voice when you're shoving protein bars down your face, getting in a bed. There's a little voice in the back of your head saying, running back at four. I swear to God, there is definitely is. And I swear to God, I look right at that depth chart. And I was like, and I'm like, we just resigned. Parris Johnson. I love that. We brought in Isaac and we and we were okay. It's center. We're okay. But who's my right tackle? Yep. And I'm sitting there. But that's part of not the whole. That's part of the reason they want to move back off at three. Of course. Go get Maui Noah or or Fano or or even like a Kate and Proctor wherever they land. They know they've got three guys right there in Blake Miller. And Maxi and Nacho. I'm told Blake Miller and the in not sure could write around 20 maybe a little earlier could go. So. So yeah, I don't think you're like, it's not crazy. And I promise you some people who are really smart inside that building. And maybe you're frustrated that if this is the case, maybe frustrated that we might take Jeremiah. Love it. Three. Yeah. We ain't ready. That is not my strength. You well know and everyone of my family and friends well know. There's information that I know the cardinals are getting that if you like Ty Simpson, it might be closer to like the Orlovsky view. Here we go. And maybe right around where I kind of have thought he deserves to go. Then the general, the Gen Pop. I don't know that it's definitive. I think part of the reason we just explained moving out of three gets you back to get value an offensive tackle. An additional pick for this roster that has an edge need and offensive tackle need and no need greater than quarter back. But you kind of bump it down your needs because like yeah, maybe they if they can get Ty Simpson great this year. And if that is not heading in the direction they want, they get right back in the market in 2027 with that class. That's when they'll take care of that. I'm going to lay just let you go. The Jets I think as I've said before sitting there 33. I don't know if it's another team and I don't know if it's a team we've talked about. I do think there's some interesting stuff going on that they're hearing about. Let me ask you this question. Yep. Follow me here. And I don't think this I'm not saying that this is the thing, but let's start checking some things off the list. What's the difference if you if you're the Rams. What is the difference for your system specifically now when when we look at like male and female relationships, right? A traction. We go get men attraction. Why does it always come in? Some women like tall, strong, good looking, some women like, you know, tough guys, some women like guys who are like, you know, into the things they're into. Some men like bonds or brunettes and tall and short. We are beautiful to one can be not so beautiful. And it's not one they are everyone's beautiful in their own way. Attractions are different deal. Okay. So for the rent like we have to be like kind of hippies man and like we're like artists and like we're everything in the world is beautiful to us. Yeah. Because we don't have a scheme that we're drafting to. So I look it I look at the guy lemon. And I say he's different than the guys in the second round. Right. And the guys in the third right. Right. But what if I don't like, it belongs or six foot six feet women. What if I'm in like, what if I'm only attract. So the rams are attracted to a certain type at wide receiver. We know it. You can run a four five eight like, Puking the kooa, right? Right. You can have a seven three two three cone, but you better be physical and you better run your ass off and you better have contact balance. And you better block like, it's the last thing that you're able to do on this earth or else you're gone. Yep. Okay. Okay. McKay lemon does all those things. The guy lemon is a perfect fit. Oh, Mark who produced his a perfect fit. But what's the difference to them? Is the gap as big for the Rams as it is the rest of the league when you get to a Chris Bell who's since now he doesn't have the blocking element from Louisville is coming off the injury but he's ahead of schedule and when he catches that thing and transitions up through the combination of speed and power is different. Yep. What's the difference between McCoy lemon and Omar Cooper Jr. would say and Dejan Striblin. What is the difference between those guys and Jeremy Bernard in that system when you're attracted to that thing? Yeah, and Steve's like going to take them at 13. He's going to wait and get them in the second round. That's what I'm saying. Right. He's we're not saying that those players are now. No, no, I'm saying. Yeah, I just want to clear about it. So why would I use the 13th overall? Correct. Correct. And they've done it in the past. They haven't had to go and get a guy that early. Now we're trying to win a Super Bowl right now. We believe and a lot of people would agree that was the best football team in the NFL last year even though they didn't win the game they had to win. Right? Yeah. So what do we need to get there? Well, we went out and we got two corners. Yeah, it did. We just signed both our safeties but the ones coming off of an injury, right? And you're looking at the needs and you're like, yeah, wide receivers there, but I've got this one in the fifth man. Yeah, I can go like in the second. Jeremy Bernard, you go like, I sent you his numbers, man. Look at the difference with like Jeremy Bernard and Striblin. They're more explosive they're like almost same. They do the same things. So I can get that one maybe in the second. Yeah, Chris Bell is explosive. Now I got it. He's got a block. He's going to be. So I'm just looking at that and I'm like, and we've known that they love they love Ty Simpson. Like that wasn't a secret. He fits perfectly what they want to do. But we also like, oh, they gave away that that other first round pick to get a corner and then they got another corner both from the chiefs. And so they're they filled out like that was the big that was a big question, right? That was the big question. That secondary. We were a secondary. We were a cornerback position away from from winning the Super Bowl. So here's my own buy. What? I get the approach. If the approach is going to be that you're freeing up the 13th pick by taking your receiver in the second round. The player can't be Ty Simpson at 13. It's just too early. It's too early. And you have Matthew Stafford coming back. All right. So let me ask you this question. Let me ask you what if I said to you, I think that they're going to take a receiver in the second round. The Ram sitting there with wide receiver need. We get them the second offensive tackle linebacker cornerback, tight end quarterback. I didn't have safety in there. I have seen some connection between the Dylan, the enement. Yeah, safety from Oregon. Difference maker, playmaker, we're a nickel. We're in that. So who else is sitting on the board? I can't imagine they would go after Cedete because much as I like them because they have so many tight ends there. And I know they run a lot of two, three tight ends at I mean, that would be be super interesting if that's how they addressed it. But I don't see that that would be the player. It's just interesting offensive tackle. Maybe they take one at 13. I would be surprised by that. I would too. They like McClendon. They like I know. Yeah. The problem with their needs are they're not like the needs of these other teams that are talking about these are like let's get to we get a 2027 free agency group. These are needs of an organization that's got its stuff together and is ready to make a run. Let's get better on specialties stuff like that. So if nothing else comes from this conversation, I don't know that they're gone to head like everyone in the world is like McCoy lemon. If it's not McCoy lemon, it's Omar Cooper Jr. They fit so well. 13. I don't know that you need to do that. Right. So they haven't they haven't had to do in the past. That frees up the 13th pick in the NFL draft. But yeah. And maybe it's moved back and maybe I but I don't know why they need additional picks. They don't. It becomes a luxury pick. You'd like to think that it's going to be on a resource this year to win a Super Bowl this year. Yeah. Yes, we have all these spots in our roster to fill, but none is more important than quarterback. And this is the other information I want to share. The Cardinal, it's not like if he get to him or we'll move up a couple of spots, I'm told the Cardinals absolutely dig Ty Simpson. And they want him and everyone's kind of playing playing coy and cool. And like, he was, he's all right. That they want him, they want to give an opportunity for this year. Go listen to the floor, Michael floor, new head coach and some of the bread crumbs. Yeah, tea leaves, bread, whatever, like it makes sense. So so do you over, do you overshoot it and go up too high because you're getting that information because everyone on the league is fucking with everyone right now. And everyone's right and they know how to get information out and they're going to shregor and they're going to shifter and they're going to mean they're going to DJ and they go. So like, maybe we're all getting played a lot of people got played with the David Bailey thing, even though I don't think it was played. I truly believe there was discussion, but it probably didn't hurt their cause to get it legal. What if it's Bailey? Would we, let's see if we could drum up some more interest in that pick? No biders. They could view Maui Noah as an incomplete evaluation 'cause he didn't work out and didn't maybe give all to get all the numbers on the same field as a Spencer Fano dead or a Caden Proctor dead and those numbers were really good, except the arm length on Fano. Everything else was really good. - And the hands which are weird. - I told you about the chiefs and listen, maybe it's Maui Noah, maybe they said it nine and they go a different route. But the information is Andy really wants that offensive line taken care of. And with the information that I just told you with all those teams from the giants to the browns to the chiefs to the, well, they would be the chiefs to the lions, stealers, eagles, Texans, all those teams need an offensive tackle, not getting to 29, right? - Yeah, I don't think so anymore. - No, there's no chance they're getting 29. I think San Francisco, where San Francisco, pick it, 27 I think it is, where did San Francisco's at, 27? - That's where Lo Mugos if he's still available, he's not getting to 29, okay? - That's a nugget for you. But if the chiefs have that much interest in Fano for the winning ham reasons that we just talked about in Andy Reed, five would be the spot to go up to, keep an eye on that. The interesting part is you know that you're Washington, and some people don't think it styles. I told that if Dallas were to move up, I got some. Dallas hasn't, Dallas moved up one time in the first three rounds and 35 opportunities since that guy Will McClay has taken over, overseeing the draft management in 2020, 2014, and ironically or interestingly enough, it was 2014 when they did it with the Marcus Lawrence, right, that was the first time he was doing it. - Right. - So all this buzz about the Cowboys, oh Jerry's gonna go great, we do this every year. And yeah, they sent Joe Shane went out to Arizona. And they, listen, they met with him when he wasn't working out at Arizona State, harbour and Shane did. And then he went back out for the workout, which wasn't testing, but it was running and, you know, catching the ball and by all accounts, it was really good. And I think he had a meal with them and all that stuff. And again, a lot of this could just be smoke and it kind of feels like it is to be honest with you. Like if you put up my radar right now, it's like, we've all liked Jordan Tyson a lot. But two weeks ago, Jordan Tyson was free falling with injuries. And now Jordan Tyson's the best wide receiver in this class. And it's kind of somewhere in the middle usually, right where we had it. - Right in the beginning. - Yeah. - Where he's like, yeah, he's 10 to 20s is range. Just like carnal tape, a carnal tape, safer, more complete. I'll admit it, if you hit and if he stays healthy, he's the best receiver in this class. So I get that. - The tape, yeah. - But there's risk. But maybe the giants are like, hey, We got our defensive captain. Let's go get Jackson, Dardo weapons. So we got all those things to consider. Then you get to 11. It's just Miami. Miami could be offensive tackle. Why is Miami not moving up by the way? They have all the firepower in the world. Have you looked at the dolphins, Ross? I'm, I know man, but like if they, if they see someone they love, they're not gonna, do you think they're gonna hit on all those picks? Would you rather go get a guy that you're in love with? They're gonna save all these picks because we really might, we might love a guy in the third round. And I'm, there's good players there. I get that, but if they love someone, they can go up and get them. They have the firepower to do. - I think the dolphins moving up would be just about the dumbest thing I've ever heard. - I disagree. - And you gotta remember, John Eric Sullivan comes from Green Bay. - Right. - Like this, like stay home, stick to your board. And now he's got like one of the lowest PFF grades for whatever that's worth. I know it's a controversial, but if you just want a quick, one of the lowest PFF grades, you told me the other day in like-- - Oh, it's not good. - In a minute. So you got a great running back, you got a quarterback that's exciting, and you got a lot of other stuff to fill out. - When I looked at the trade chart, from them to go to 11 to 6, they give up two or their third round picks, and they still would have two left. So you would still have, even if you did that. - Yeah, but you're gonna hit, you're gonna hit, best case you hit on three of those, and by hit I mean, one could be like a really good starter, one could be like a sub-package guy, and the other is like sub-package specialty. Like you're not hitting on all four of them, so like give me some rope to, you know? - Yeah. - I don't wanna make this a dolphin. - Yeah, no, I'm here you. - I just think they're a team to keep an eye on because of the picks. You know, whether or not you think it's the right move, they are certainly a team that's got the firepower to move around. I think it's so like, like we gotta hit on all of these picks, like that mentality, like why wouldn't it be like a benge in one a there? They, I'm told it's much more likely Dallas moves back from 20 than it is they move up from 12. I'll be surprised if both of them don't leave the first round with the offensive tackle, okay? 25, double check. I always do this. 25 I believe is Houston, right? Or is it 26? Chicago is possible, although safety and edge to fit DA, Dennis Allen system is kind of where they're going. I've also been told they could move back. - But their left tackle's not playing this year.
