NFL Cover Zero: Chiefs Return, Darnold Update, Winless possible, and Week 2 Previews

It is NFL cover zero week to preview Matt Jones. Drew Franklin, Billy are sports wearing his new non NFL hat. Good to see you diversifying a little bit. I have that hat too. I don't like that now because that means I can't wear it on the off chance you might wear it the same day. I ruined the hat for you. I mean, I think you don't want to wear. You don't want to come to a place and have the same hat someone else has on, right? Yeah, that's awkward. You have to tell them to take it off at then. Yeah, and you would have to be the one to take it off just for the record. I do like that hat, so Drew been a good week, not a ton of news since the game so far, but everybody's sort of settling in after week one, Monday night football. I guess we can start with that chiefs. Did they look like the chiefs again? They do. I think that Kenneth Walker edition is going to end up working out pretty well. See why he seems like it pretty good player turns out given Patrick. My home is a rating Super Bowl MVP. Why did we let that happen? Just a huge game for them. I mean, even Oldman Kelsey with the big 60 yard grab. So I knew the chiefs would be much better than last year. Last year was a one off, but it looks like they're going to be pretty stacked. Yeah. So my home's actually started relatively poorly. He was four of 11 and kind of looked a little rusty, but then they gave Walker the ball six straight times. Start to get that felt like a statement from Mr. mustache there. He was just like, I'm just going to keep pounding the ball to this dude. I hope they don't use up all his carries by week four though. That'd be a lot. You know, it's good that chiefs have been and they've had good running backs. A lot of times they're kind of a dual threat. Kenneth Walker is going to be back thinking really lean on a few stays healthy and being young. I mean, I feel like we're looking at my homes as next wave of the dynasty having kind of a second chapter as some of the young talent comes in and helps him. I wish his name was Kenny. You can call him Kenny. I feel weird. Let's call him Kenny Skywalker. I feel like calling him Kenneth. That's two. Kenneth sounds too professional. I want to call him Kenny because he runs like a Kenny. He didn't run like a Kenneth. A kid. A Kenneth is the GM. A Kenny is out there running over people and that's what he does. He's also really good catching out of the backfield. That was. I remember seeing one of the nerds talk about the signing and said, well, you know, Patrick needs a running back who can catch out the backfield. I don't know if Kenneth Walker is that. If you worried about that, I think that showcase to not be true as well. Yeah. Definitely pass the day one test. And to your point, Kenneth, the third. That's also that's like who does my taxes. Yeah. I got to go see Kenneth Walker, the third today. I got to get my taxes filed Kenneth Walker, the third will be your ag commissioner. I wonder how Seahawks fan. Well, they got to be upset. Yeah. I mean, I, but at the same time, they had a lot of other guys. They need to get signed. I understand the theory of why they didn't sign him. Right. I mean, I think the theory is running backs are replaceable. But it's funny how the league goes in cycles because there was a point where people said, don't give $3 for running backs. And then Derek Henry and say, one Barclay have big years. It becomes, okay, maybe we should do that. And now they keep picking running backs a little bit higher, a little bit higher in the draft year. My love, I think with third, I had some genty that we year before went second or third. Is there running back back? It's the whole, you know, they adjusted the air raid back in the day. And you go back to running. It's just the cycle that goes back and forth. It does seem like running backs or back. Love being that huge. I mean, Notre Dame had two first round running backs in this last draft. So yeah, we're going to be seeing a lot more for Seattle. I mean, they may end up being fine with it. But I think that, I think it obviously worked out. I like scene. Did you like the Tom Cruise was it the game? I didn't. And we've talked about this on the show. It goes to I want Taylor to just sit by someone she grew up with and has lifelong memories with all these forced a list celebrity pairings annoy me a little bit. You wouldn't do that. I mean, if you, if you let's say you, let's say Abby were to join, I don't know, Abba. Okay. And so she gets to have all of these big time concerts. And people like, are you going to invite me? Yeah. To the thing or are you, but if it's me or Jay, I'm inviting my friends. I'm not going to invite Jay, but I'm the star. Like when one of your friends make it, you pull her by like, I want my friends to have the fun in the sweet Tom Cruise. They can go get his own suite. Okay. Like I'll, I'll talk to you Tom. You, you're telling me you would not invite Jay, Jay into the suite. You know, if I made it and I made it, you'd rather have Cory. Yeah. I want people. I have genuine friendships with like if I make it to Taylor Swift status, I don't want to go hang out with another celebrity. Okay. I want to hang out with my boys. And we're going to have all the fun because I'm rich and have all this access. I actually agree with you on that. I would much rather have you tall, hubby, uh, the turkey honor there. But at the same time, you know, if they, if you're telling me that Leo wants to have chicken fingers, I'm probably going to take the call. I guess, but like it, if you grew up with Taylor Swift, then you're childhood best friend. I think it's fair though. I think maybe not her. Okay. Someone who has core memories, photos with Taylor Swift. Yeah. And you're like, I'd like to sit there but no, she's just sitting there. Tom Cruise for this photo. You know, that's not the same with the wedding. All these, they just invite these people. They don't know. Well, I, first of all, I don't want Tom Cruise there because I think he's weird. Yeah. And, uh, and I don't know if his movie is going to do well. So I don't want to be on the ball star. It feels like I'm getting cut from the suite. If Decaprio is calling you, I feel like I'm going to be the line here. Oh, you're out. I mean, if, if Leo's coming, you're out. He tends to hang with, but with, you know, his, his girlfriend could talk to my daughter. They could hang out. We'll give him a little pin together in the bathroom. He's still him. I know that's always a thing with him. He's still. Yeah. I understand. But also like, who's been in better movies than Decaprio? I mean, Decaprio has no flubs in movies. Give me a bad Leonardo Decaprio movie, like a bad one. There's some like the aviator that maybe aren't as good as the other ones, but name me a bad one. I can't think of a dud. I mean, I even go back to what's eating over grape. That's classic. I, there has never been an actor that has not made a bad movie, except him. I can't think of one. Did you like, don't look up? It was fun. Yeah. That's the Netflix movie, right? And you know, he was doing it. It was like, he's about climate change. He was trying to like, it was, it wasn't great, but it was fun. Oh, I got one. Cray. Wasn't he the iron mask man and iron mask? Wasn't that terrible? I don't think I've seen good. He when I feel like that was the beginning of his career. He's early on. Maybe when he was trying to make it like I would be in trimmer's five to get my career started. Yeah. I mean, it was after Titanic, I think. Oh, well, so if he has a flop that I haven't seen that. So I don't know. You have any others? Read them there. Read me his last 15 one battle after another. Right. The wolf of Wall Street catch me if you can, right? Once about a time in Hollywood. Good. I got to find another. What's fun on time in Hollywood? By the way, started like 15 careers. Like when they go, when he goes to the, when he goes to that, the Charles Manson place, all those women, all those girls that are there, they all became huge stars. It was like Cindy Swini was one of them. Okay. Shutter Island, which is being a little bit great. Yes. Tom Holland got his, well, the guy think was in that. Okay. Inception. That's fine. Overrated, but good. Django and Shane. Great. Blood diamond. Great. About the departed. Awesome. Great. It's a good one. Although some people don't like it. I like it. The beach. That's a good one. You know, the beach is not good, but I'm entertained by the beach. I like the whole premise of the beach when you cross over and it's paradise, but then it turns into hell. And I think I read the book, which is part of why I liked it. His Romeo and Juliet is not great. But again, that's a long time ago. My point, I don't know how we got off of this. It's supposed to be about the chiefs. We're trying to start who you're taking new chiefs. Because of that, I want to talk to, I want to take Leo. Okay. So we took the long way of saying it. Matt, it's a sweet and chiefs game. Leo is. I'm dating an NFL player, which is going to very unlikely at this point. Don't give up. Then I'm bringing Leo to the game. Okay. Thank you. Chiefs win 31 to 10. Are you worried about the Broncos? Bo Nick seemed a little shook by spags. I was shocked that it was that bad, but I'm not going to judge it right away week one. I want to see what they do this week. But I did not think that I had, I did for covering in that game. So I had high expectations of them even going into Kansas City. Yeah. I wasn't surprised. I mean, I was suppressing lost by 21, but I don't, you know, I don't believe him, Bo Nick's. I saw that Spagnola did something where he would have 13 people on the field and then run two of them off right before the play. I didn't know that was legal. I liked it. He broken out in this game. Trickery. Should that be illegal? No, it's part of the game. I mean, you still get time to make a sub if you have to make a sub there. So yeah, I mean, it seems a little gimmicky extra 24 people on the field. Bring the whole team on and then everybody's scattered to the sideline. If you can do 13, just keep bringing people. As you clear your bench early in the play clock and everyone's down to the head old and then clap. And most of them all been eleven. Because the offense can only have 11 people clear that huddle, but I didn't, and I guess I just assumed that was true. The defense, too, that is not true. The defense can have as many people clear the huddle as they want. How do you know that? Is that feel fair? No. Feels like they should be the same as the offense. Well, it's not. And spags. The offense has to set the offense sets. That's the personality. Yes, but the defense. So I mean, he would have on some, on big third downs, he would put 13 people in there, and then two people would run off. Could it be that week one, they're just so sloppy, he's lying. Is this an excuse? And his guy's generally just didn't know they weren't supposed to be on the field, but he also may have unlocked a great idea. So I think there's going to be a team that brings 26 people on the field. And then right before the snap, 15 of them run off. Account intimidating, that would be. Can you see the grass? I think it'd be impossible to know what coverage they're in. Exactly. Because there's so many of them. He's on to something. Yeah. It is. I'm enjoying as I learn more and more about, because you know, I've always been a football fan, but I haven't known the exes and oats. Now I listen to the nerd podcast, and I learned about, you know, cover two and third. I learned that there's a 13 personnel. I'd heard a 12. Didn't know there was also 13. You do 14. Easy. Do whatever you want. I guess. But as I learn, I start to see it in the game. And so you know, they run in motion. So you can see whether they're in man zone. Yeah, you used to just watch the ball. But now you're like, I'll look at bringing another time. I'm using it. I'm telling people that don't care these things. Like I said, the football game at the Kentucky game with tall, and he does not care about this stuff. He's there really for the alcohol and to yell at the other team. Yeah. But ball secondary. And I would see, I saw an album and play a run in motion. I think I looked at him and I was like, all right, now see there trying to find a third man in zone. And he just looks at me. Do you do you want sunscreen? You're like, hey, talk to the egg up. So I, you know, it's funny when you when you when you learn all that stuff, the kind of people you could impress with it. I'm in a zone where the people that know, no, I don't know. And the people that don't know, don't care. So I'm on this island, the football knowledge, which isn't very helpful. And you got to pick who you're talking to because you don't want to walk into an expert that you thought exactly. And then you just come off as an idiot when you're trying to be the smart guy in the room. So I know your audience. I have knowledge. And everybody goes, shut up. So that's the way it goes. Chiefs win. You'll find the person against the Broncos. All right, Billy, let's, let's get to some news, headland. Yeah, good news for the Seattle Seahawks. Sam Darnell looks to have avoided a serious injury. The Seahawks announced Arnold is now not dealing with a hip injury, but a very unique soft tissue injury to his glute. He's out with a butt, butt injury. We'll miss week two game ad Arizona, no timetable on the return yet, but Drew Lock played pretty well in his state. And is I want to thank the Seahawks and Sam Darnell for acknowledging it's a butt injury. I am certain other people have had butt injuries. I've had a butt injury in football. And they people don't like to say they have a butt injury because I think they think it's embarrassing. I like the Darnell ignores not a hip. It's not a contusion. My butt hurts. Yeah, the PR they're like, hey, Sam, we're just going to tell people you got some lingering illness that we're going to address. He's like, now just put out there. It's bad. It's fine. It's got butt. Everybody's got a butt. Butt pro. Just let them know. Let's be honest with them. You know, I had a butt injury. Really bad. I forgot about that. I got to share the dude's head. I fell in one cheek turned completely purple, green, yellow, potentially the grossest thing I've ever seen. And it was my own body. And it hurt. When your butt hurts, it hurts. So I can understand. I think Darnell's going to be out a couple weeks. Could you have not played in a fel game. I can barely walk. I can barely walk. Were you around when that happened? I was not. No, and I haven't seen the photo. Thank goodness. Matt's region first. Yeah, I don't need to see the photo. You know what? I think you need to see it. Because it's like a part of our of our lore. So I this is this was right after COVID started. And I fell. I slipped that my I have wooden steps at one of my houses. And they grew mossy with rain. You know, like a little kind of mossy and I heard some bad news. I was running out of my house and I slipped and I went butt into the step. One cheek took my whole weight into the step. And this is what happened. Oh my God. Have you seen that? I don't need to see it again. I'm potentially looking billion. No, no, no, this can't happen. No, this cannot air. I didn't see my camera. Now Mario has. We all have it. It's on the hard drive now. Get that out. Delete. That computer's been compromised. I didn't even think about the camera. But look at that. I need to see it again. That's what I get called in the HR. So that's what Sam Darnold has. Okay. Your soft tissue. You got to protect it. But I mean, that's that's bad. That's bad. Yeah. And that's what I think Sam Darnold had. If he has that, I think it's a career injury. I think he's out for the rest of the season. So yeah. Sam Darnold. But they've said they're missing this week. Have they said after that chance he could play week three. Okay. Rappaport was saying, but they haven't officially said anything about that. Yeah. Sure. Short term. I are. Can they win with Drew Lock? Who do they play this week? Cardinals. Yeah, they can win that game, right? Well, the hottest teams in football right now. The Cardinals. Yes, they can win with that. I mean, they can, but that's also loosable. It is. Well, if Drew Lock doesn't play way, I mean, Drew Lock, I feel like as far as backups go, top eight. Yeah. But that's just not any ordinary team in Seattle. You're in a crazy hard division. You are where every game can matter. And you and the team you shouldn't lose to could really set you back. And you would have looked at that schedule and said, this is a win. That's when you're looking past. So, but if you can escape this one, allow his butt to heal, then I think you feel like you, you, uh, you escape stuff. Yeah. If you win the Super Bowl rematch and then week two with Drew Lock as your quarterback, I think you're thinking, okay, we're going to be fine as long as we can get Darnell back. Hall of Fame quarterback Drew Breeze told NFL reporter Ed Werder that he was contacted by Sean Payton staff about playing in the AFC Championship game for injured bow nicks. The morning after Dan Fouts did the door knocking to inform him he was devoted into the Hall of Fame. Breeze jokingly checked with the Hall of Fame CEO to confirm he coming out of retirement wouldn't create delays in his status. Once assured nothing would change regarding his 2026 Hall of Fame induction, Breeze went to the local field to throw at the sun. Mentally he was in Denver offering if he could perform a physical, but his right wrist and shoulder were so damaged she couldn't throw at 15 yards. So that was the end of that. I don't want to say something. First of all, I'm not sure if I believe this story. I mean, Ed Werder Ed Werder was a great reporter, but who does he work for now? I'm not sure former ESPN reporter. Yeah, so I don't think he has a journalistic job now. So I wish Ed Werder the best Ed Werder is part of my life every Sunday be at the Cowboys camp going. I mean, that was what Ed Werder sounds are you Ed Werder was always he never covered anyone except the Cowboys, but I'm a little skeptical about this. It's hard for me to believe that right before the AFC Championship, Sean Payton looked around and said, I'm going to get a guy who hasn't played football in five years, five years, not one year, five years. I don't mind, but he's looking around and Joe Flacco's playing air Rodgers is playing. I'm just a bit rivers. I can't play. They did not take five years off. Phil Rivers, I think, took a few months off three years. I thought it was no return for three games in 2025. Yeah. But he had only been out maybe a year. It was not five years. I just I that's it's hard for me to buy that. And then the other thing is if you're Jared stay, if you really feel that way about Jared Stinham, why did they bring him back? Like if you felt like I am going to get people out of the old folks home to play instead of you, then you're not bringing him back to be your side, just I just don't buy this story. I hate to be the party pooper, but I don't believe it. I was just put myself in Jared Stinham shoes. The door has swung wide open for you to go win a Super Bowl. They're so excited and they're like, bad news, we're actually calling a guy who doesn't even play anymore. He could be fat. We don't know, but we're still going to call him to see if we could play him instead of you who's been here since day one. You don't believe this to you. Yeah. I could see it. Sean Payton. Sean Payton's been bringing him back because he knows the system. Sean Payton's offense is complicated. You can't just bring anybody off the street, apparently you can. Well, only the quarterback he spent 15 years with, like I do see that as a possibility only because we saw Philip Rivers come back and play. But again, he had only been out for a few months. If you have not played football, I'll go so far as to Kate. You can't do anything if you haven't done it in five years. But you can't cold turn, like if you're a car repairman, you're a mechanic and you don't look at a car for five years and then all of a sudden they just throw you out into a new model. It's going to take a minute. You don't think it's like riding a bike, if you don't ride a bike for five years, when you get on it, you're going to be shaky for a minute. Now imagine there's 300 pound men coming at you. Yeah. I disagree. I mean, if I ride a bike and I rode a bike in a while, I'll be fine. All right. Well, let's put you out on a bike and see if you it's going to I bet you, I bet you waver. Well, I got plenty to do now that the calf real is taking my sweet stuff. Well, either way, it would have been very, Jared Standham would have had to retire. Yeah. I mean, he earned it. He's been there. Who's the third string there now? I don't know. I don't know. I don't know. I think still they're in. Well, yeah, it would have been fun. I was just IFC championship game. He just runs out. I had an issue with the hall saying he could still retire. It's not the rules. Five years after your last game, I'm sorry you already invited him, but if he goes in place, what if he's already got in? Can you rescind? Oh, I see it because he had already been like they had knocked the day before. He asked it would have been like, well, pick, you want to be in the hall? You want to wait five more years? It's a busy weekend for Drew Breast. I really think they just looked around the league last year and saw those old heads and like, it's better than Jared stood them. We got a Super Bowl right in front of us. I don't, I sort of don't understand why there are people that can't be as good as those old guys. Do you know what I mean? Like, I don't understand, like, take Philip Rivers. He wasn't great, but he was fine when he putt. Oh, yeah. Why is he still? Well, is there not a 26 year old that can be as good as him? It's weird how the NFL produces these amazing talents. And then it's just like a drop off the planet to most of the second string. I guess when something happens, like what happened in NICS, so spontaneous, and you got work in such a hurry, the experience matters so much more than potentially talents. Like, let's go get a guy who's won a lot of games, he can pick up the playbook right away and be ready to go more than a young dude that still has the same arm. You're just one guy that would have been a great test. It would have been like a great theoretical test because you know, all guys like to sit on the couch and go, I could still go for 25. Well, this would have been a chance to find out, can you? What if he had won the Super Bowl? Is that a cheap Super Bowl for him and he showed up two weekends prior? No, I would think if he, if he showed up two weekends for prior and beat the Patriots and then beat the Seahawks, he would be desirée. I think how weird that would be, just out of nowhere, a Drew Breeze Bronco Super Bowl just out of the blue. You know, I don't know what the rules are in the NFL for getting a ring, but I think we talked about, I'm one of the shows that in hockey, you have to play 30 games and you had to be on the, to get a Stanley Cup ring and to be on the cup, but you have to play 30 games. But even if you miss the season, play in the playoffs, let's say you scored every goal in the playoffs, every single one, but you didn't play 30 games, you still wouldn't get to be on the cup. Oh, that's nuts. I would score the goals then. I'd refuse. Well, you could play 30 games and then the owner would put his kids name on the cup. Yeah. And I'm a hurricane's fan, but that dude put all of his children first to he put his children before he did the players. That's outrageous. If I was a player, I'd be upset. And there was a player, I believe there was a player who had gotten 28 games and played throughout the playoffs. They, they signed him at the end of the year, DeLorean, and he didn't get to be on, and he's been in the league like 18 years and he's not on it, but that's not he, and the other thing is if you, if you can play your children on it, then why can't you put the guy who played 28 games? 28 more than your children did. Yeah, if you just put anybody on there, that role shouldn't matter. I mean, don't you think that's strange? Yeah. If I'm a player and they put the kid there, I'd say I need to see him at camp next year with a stick on the ice. I didn't know why I don't think he's gonna earn his spot. They're putting all the children out there and they're all getting checked. Yeah. You got to take a few bruises to get your name on the Stanley Cup. Yeah. And it was a feel good story that they won, but it is, it does kind of linger that that was sort of a cheap, but would you do it? Like if you, if you own the team, would you put Avery? Oh, no, because I wouldn't want some spoiled brat. I'd be like, no, I'm not putting you on there because you've not earned it. This is how the world works. Yeah. And you know, they also, I've always wondered the cup like there's a finite amount of space you would think. Did you know that they take them off after a while? Is it something, there's a certain amount of years, like 50 years after that? That's wow. Because there's so much on it. Then you're gone, which means those kids are gonna be on there, but like Bobby Hull is gonna be all fun. So really, like if you want a Super Bowl, you're a Super Bowl champion for life, but if you win the Stanley Cup, it has an expiration of 50 years. They will forget you after 50 years. You are dead. They will erase you from history. That's right. All right. What's next? You've heard of this guy. Ryan Fitzpatrick started for nine NFL teams in his 13 year career. That's an NFL record. He's now an analyst on Thursday night football on NFL on prime. He is doubling down on his preseason prediction after week one, that the Miami Dolphins will go O in 17 this year. I like that prediction. Miami hired Green Bay Packers, defensive coordinator Jeff Halfley. They signed Green Bay Packers quarterback Malik Willis to a three year deal and they lost to the Raiders 27 to 3. Did they play the Titans? They don't play the Titans. They play the Jets. And they don't play the Browns or the Titans this year. Okay. So, I mean, that's what comes down to their Jets games. I don't know. I do not think it's crazy at all. Here's the, here's the. I'll say they split the Jets. That's San Francisco, Kansas City, Minnesota, Cincinnati, Jets, New England. going to Troy Indy Buffalo Chets did for Chicago Green Bay Chargers Buffalo New England. That is a really hard schedule. Is that got to be the hardest schedule in the league, right? I mean, they don't play anybody easy the entire league. Yeah, no, they're going, they're not winning. They're getting one. They're getting one. I'll touch you over arch meeting in Miami. That would be only of Tennessee passes on them and one. Well, Tennessee's going to, you think they're going to go in 17 as well, we're in 17 Dolphins or one in 16 Dolphins are going to get one. They're going to get one. They're going to get Chets. So third place is Lamar, fourth place is Burrow, fifth place is Brock Purdy right now on DraftKings. So if you had to pick one to bet today, not just who you think we win, but just odds wise. What's the best odds pick today? Is it, it's probably still Josh Allen. Yeah, we're all plus five one. Yeah, if it were three years, I might go okay. The Williams being a longer shot, but if I can get five to one on Josh Allen, after just going and winning at Houston, I think I'm taking that. After that is Patrick, my home's Dak Prescott and Trevor Lawrence after his big game for Jackson. I like, oh, what's Lamar? Lamar's third, right? Yeah, he is. Oh, I'm starting plus 650. Okay. Yeah, I think those, I mean, if you were to have said to me Matt, who should the top 3B, I probably would have said Josh Allen Lamar and Caleb Williams. Caleb Williams is probably a little over, over price right now, but you know, Ben Johnson says he wants to get 600 points. They've scored 59. So now they're at, you have to score 34 game. I mean, that's doable. That's doable. It's a lot for the NFL, but it's hard for me to say they can't when they're starting at 59 after we're going. It's a pretty good start. And they looked so good without even some of their best players having a big game. Like, Lovlin, a few others didn't do much statistically. Yeah, so I mean, why not? And if Caleb Williams, I think because Lamar has won it so in Allen, I mean, how many times Allen won it? Twice, once? At least once. At least once. I think, you know, voters like to have somebody new. So if they have an excuse to pick Caleb Williams, I think they would just so that they can pick someone fresh blood. We've been saying the same name a lot. I don't know if it shows the actual fall, but did Stafford have a big drop after they lost? Yeah, I think he was I think he was plus 1200. He's now plus 2000. Yeah, he's not figured he'd need the problem for guys like that is when you play your first game on a national scale, like you're the only game. Then that's going to linger with you in the voters' minds throughout the year. He's going to do something crazy to get back the respect he lost in the first game. And his team so stacks to make it win without him even having a bigger. Josh Allen's one at once in 2024. Lamar has won it twice in 2019 and 2023. How many times my homes won it? My homes has won it. Lions very disappointing last week, even though they still escaped to the win. I think though they'll hang with Buffalo in this one and just lose by Phil Goal. You think the new stadium makes any difference in the game? Like are people more excited that it's a new stadium last? The pregame buzz will be awesome. But once that wears off after kickoff in a series or two, especially the players, I don't think it'll matter that much more. Do you think it matters? No, no, I don't. I think it'll be a great pregame atmosphere, but the actual game, I don't think it will. In Buffalo, a prime time Thursday night game. They would have been on fire even if this was the old building. It's hard to get much more excited. I'm going to take the bills. I even think they'll cover. I think that's, I think it'll be, I don't know what to think about the Lions. They should, they could have lost it. Okay, I mean, it was came down to one play. And then there was the thing in the first half. I still don't know what that rule was. Yeah. And giving up 400 yards to tell our shock to turn around and play Josh Allen. I mean, I can This could get it away in a hurry if the lion's defense is just that bad and Chuck isn't what he looked like. There's still people are still insisting that call was correct, but they can't sort of, you know, rationalize that with the history of the sport. How the rules actually any other game I've ever seen, it's kind of like side-oriented a little bit too. And then my prayer was like, of course, it's true. And I said, well, I'm okay, I guess Vikings in the Bears. I got to make a pick. I like the bills too. It is the highest total of the week at 54 and a half, but bills. You got to make a pick too. What do you think about the did you see the organ game? The Oklahoma state coach said one of the linebackers figured out that Dante Moore. He signaled every every snap whether it was a runner pass. I didn't see that. Yeah, they didn't say what the signal was, but but the deep the coach, whatever's name is said, a linebacker in the first series picked up that if he does this, it's a run. And if he does, this is a pass. And they just did it the whole game. Sounds like working without Will Stein. Doesn't know how to. Yeah, that's a big error, though, you know, and a pretty big name to be doing it too. Yeah, I mean, one big second offense. Well, well run organization. Yeah, you got to be careful about that. Bingles are at the Texans. Houston's a three point favorite. I'm going to guess it's my turn to go first. Give me the Texans. I don't I don't love it, but I could see the Bingles covering this. I think it'll come down to a point or two, but I think the Texans bounce back at it. It's kind of a must win for the Texans after losing last week. Can't lose two straight games at home against contenders. Start the year. No, and I don't want to be just keep picking favorites, but the Bingles defense looked a little concerning to me. And Stroud was so close to winning a game for that defense. Well, yeah, until that fumble at the end. So I like Stroud going in Cincinnati. And then the Houston defense slowing down, but yeah, I didn't think since these defense played bad against Tampa, they forced four turnovers. But I think Houston's desperate after that week one game. I'm going to take Houston as well. Browns against the Bucks. Bucks are an eight and a half point favorite. Could be the last time we ever see Dishon Watson. What's your favorite Dishon Watson memory? So well six out for you. You know, he was in my division a long time in the AFC South. We lost a lot of games to Texans. So I'll leave it on the field. And so I just remember seeing him twice a year with playing my team. Can't think of anything else for Sean Watson. It comes to mind who you got the Bucks. Okay. Todd Monk in this week said to Sean Watson will start. There were some really good things on film after week one. What was going on? I'm going to go Tampa. You know, I said that after I watched water world, I was like, well, there were some good things on the field. A lot of stuff that wouldn't be good. Yeah, I'm going to take the Bucks. Wouldn't shot me though if the Browns covered. Yeah, that's a big spread for respectfully and Billy Tampa, but Browns. It's supposed to be like really hot down there. That also. It's September. It's going to be hot. But that's also always a thing to watch in these games is people just wilt and Baker revenge game too. So that's right. Baker revenge game. All right. Packers are four and a half point favorite at the Jets. Billy, what do you got? Packers, Packers, Packers, Jets only one because they were playing the Titans. So I like the Packers. This is my pick of the week to cover. Yeah, I'm actually betting that right now. I don't know. That's a perfect example of a week one over reaction in both ways. You rarely get a game where they have people overreact on both sides of the ball. I mean, this probably should be a seven and a half and it's a four and a half solely because of what happened last week. So give me the Packers. Yeah, people are going to learn just how bad the Titans are soon enough. I would say I'm one of a few people that probably watched every snap of a Jets Titans game last Sunday. I still think the Jets stink and the Packers will prove that. Yes. Saints at the Ravens, Ravens and eight and a half point favorite. That feels high to me. I think if I was betting this, I would take the Saints to cover, but I can't pick them to Ravens. I think had the most the number one overall best performance of anybody in the way. If you just talk start to finish offense and defense, I picked them number one on my ESPN NFL team ranking after week one. So give me the Ravens, true. Yeah. If anyone thought Henry was would slow down this year, a quick statement game in week one with three touchdowns, 150 yards. I like the Ravens here and they're going to be scary good this season. I will take Baltimore to. I might even take the over at 46 and a half. New Orleans can score. You said that like you knew something big. You following the Elvers and unders well. I just Tyler Schuck just proves me wrong all the time. I think he's going to be a pretty good quarterback. And your boy, A chain. Yeah, he hears you. No, let's go to Nashville and attack like it's our bachelor at part. - I mean, being able just to walk from Broadway makes it such a fun destination for a Sunday game. And then Titans fans, there's kind of, people in Nashville will be interested for a little bit. Like a business might buy sweet or something, but nobody truly cares. And now with the new stadium opening, they've gotten rid of the parking lots where your tailgating is now gonna be bars and Broadway. So it's just, they're pushing off any die hard fans that they have. And it's just becoming, like, bring in all the way people and come have fun in our city and spend your money. - One of the bigger games today, Steelers are at the Patriots. Patriots are five and a half point favorite, Billy. What do you got? - Yeah, I'm not gonna overreact to week one. I think I'm gonna take New England. You say this is a week one game and I think it's Patriots in a route, but people might change their mind after what they saw. I'm gonna go to New England. Yeah, I'm gonna say New England, I think they cover. I think people are giving, Steelers were not good. I mean, they won. They were not very good in that game. Easily could have lost it to a bad balcony steam. - I had a defensive touchdown, help them out. - Yeah, I mean, Patriots, I think actually rolled. This next to the game a minute ago, we just said, which was what Jets and Packers, this would be my, I might parlay those two and then spend the money on buying Billy New Hats. - I don't think, imagine. - Yeah, what do you got? - Yeah, I keep waiting for spots to pick an upset, but I can't do it here. I'm with you, that'll be another blowout. - Jags at Broncos. Broncos are two and a half point favorite, Drew, what do you got? - I'll do it here, I'll say the Jags go into Denver and get a win. I'll be a Jags believer, at least for this week. - They're gonna be the least sexy team that like has a chance to go to the Super Bowl. I mean, because most people, they might know Trevor Lawrence, but like, did they even know Josh Hanz Allen? Maybe not. The wide receiver they know doesn't even play wide receiver, probably Travis Hunter. So, you know, Parker Washington and Brian Thomas Jr., like that's, and people don't even know the guys that are killing people. So, what do you got? - They're running back as Tuton. - Yeah, I'm gonna take all that and put it to the side. I'm gonna take Denver. - Okay, I'm gonna go with Drew. I'm gonna take the Jaguars. Raiders won't look as good as they did Chargers in a route. Now with that said, Raiders will fill this day. This will be all Raiders fans. That's one of the things you have to think about 'cause there's still a ton of Raiders fans in L.A. Vegas isn't far. It'll be a ton of Raiders fans, I'm still in danger. - And maybe more Madison Beer fans after last week might find their win there, but I'm going with the Chargers. - Yeah. - If they don't look good here though, I did the, I was believing in them. - Fire might be Daniel. - Fire might be first start with him and his sunglasses, but then also Herbert and Harball I'm done believing in y'all 'cause I believe in him this year and last week was disappointed. And if you can't pile on the Raiders, then you're. - I didn't realize how much hate there was for Justin Herbert out there. There's a lot of people that just don't think he's good. And last week of course gave them evidence about if you waif you wanted it, but there's a lot of people that just don't see him as a really good quarterback. - It's kind of a proof of it, your form. - Yeah, Dolphins at 49ers, 49ers are a 13 and a half point favorite. Now that's one of the biggest - Friends. - Friends. - That you will ever see in the NFL. I mean, I gotta pick the 49ers. This will be interesting to see, there are people who think that the Australia trip is gonna have effects in this game. I feel like they've had a while. - Yeah, and if you're the 49ers coming back, I mean, this is an opponent you want to see. It's like they're coming back and playing the Seahawks or something. - But I mean, it's been 10 days. How long does a person need? - Well, they might still be over there as long as they stay. - I mean, like if you guys listen, I might agree, I think jet lag matters, but when you've been here a while, - And just take a day to binge on the couch? - Yeah. - And catch up. - So I don't buy, I'm gonna take the 49ers we got. - Yeah, 49ers. - Seahawks are at the Cardinals. Cardinals back to their usual 425 slot in the game that people aren't watching. Seahawks, only a 3 1/2 point favorite, Billy. - Really? - I'm gonna go Arizona here as my dog of the week. - Really, okay. I like you're doing it and it's wrong, but I like it. - Yeah, put my neck out there. - I would be a huge win for them on a take Seattle, but 3 1/2, I think betting the Cardinals is not a crazy thing. This could come down to a field go at the end. - Even if it's Drew Lock, which it looks like will be, I still just think Seattle's too stacked to lose to Arizona, even though Arizona had that big win last week. I'll even like Seattle to cover here. - The big afternoon game that they paid Tom Brady in his hair gel, all that money for is commanders at Cowboys, both teams on one, got a win. Cowboys 4 1/2 point favorite. What do you got? - Tempted to do it. - I'll do it, I'll say the commanders. - Taking the commies. - Wow. - And I'm a Cowboys guy. That was disappointing last week. I think part of it was all the annual Cowboys Super Bowl talk in the pre-game leading up to it to then go have them lose that one. I'll say they start o and 2 losing another division game at home. - Okay. - I will go Dallas. I think there's no way they lose this game after all the talk after they're lost in week one, so give me Dallas. - Well, oh, how I wish Dallas would beat DC. I don't know if anybody else thought it was good. I'm going to take Dallas and I think they win big actually. I have a lot of big spreads in this this week. I mean, they're big spreads, but I think there's going to be a lot of routes. Part of the reason I picked a man, there's nothing new with this game is that I just can't keep picking the favorite every time which I had to branch out somewhere Sunday night football Colts and Chiefs. I don't know why this game is on Sunday night. Feels like this was should be a one o'clock Chiefs six and a half or excuse me. Is that right? Six and a half, six and a half point favorite. I think it this will probably end up being closer than you want it to be, but I will still take the Chiefs. If we're doing spreads, I might take Colt here, but the Chiefs are going to win that game being at home, but I could see it being close, even though it is Daniel Jones versus Patrick my homes. I'll put some respect on Daniel Jones's name, but I'll take Kansas City. Yes. Do you like Daniel Jones? I mean, say just towards a kill. He was like, right, right. I mean, he was great last year. He showed you. He had one run for three yards and that's a huge part of what makes him good is running the ball and he clearly doesn't want to do that. So I think he's going to be very ineffective as the year goes on. Once team draws, he's not running one run for three yards of Daniel Jones is that that's not a recipe for six yards. Well, he'll have the Sunday night football stage to show his health. Yeah, a giant to Rams, Monday night football. Rams, seven point favorite. Rams can't lose. Even though the giants look really good, Rams have to win this. It would be hilarious, though, after the offseason hype they had to start owe and two. Yeah. I think the Giants are going to be fun with Skataboo and Dart and Harbal, but I'm going to go to the Rams here. Skataboo gets hurt out for the year. I'm not rooting for it. That's a lot of Cologne, isn't it? Yes. And right when I thought he was done, like, wow, that was a lot. He kept going again. No, I think he thought this is not enough. He went neck, right wrist, neck, right wrist, neck left wrist, right wrist neck. I thought though you put it on your right wrist to then rub on your neck, right? It's not that you just keep it on your right wrist. He blew it on his neck and then put it on his right, like he just thought people were going to be smelling his right wrist at all times. He was spraying the Cologne. Like I spray the Fubri's after midnight Taco Bell order. He's just covering the room. So I gave them in one to gave me the right way to put on Cologne. Would you like to know? In for me, because I'm not sure I know. Take it and blow it in front of you and walk in. So take it and walk into it. It actually gives you the perfect amount of Cologne and two sprays, one forward. And then if you want to be, if you want to be crazy, one a little lower and backward and back it. And then it's like, it's not too powerful. Spreads it out around the body. It allows the mist to dissipate and you walk into it and it goes all over your body. So forward around your face, backward around your butt, forward into it, backward into it. I think it was one of the better pieces of advice I've had. My wrist had been smelling like Cologne for no reason then. Well, the wrist, I never understood when the wrist got into it. Like why is the why the wrist? I don't know. It's your hot points, your neck, your wrist, but no woman is like one you and start licking your wrist. I think it's something when you put it there on your body, it helps emit it more. Oh, is that true? I think so. I wave my hands around and so I mean, it's not that the act that you think your wrist is going to be in the presence of, you know, so if you put it on your wrist, it goes through your body. It's something to do with those points. I think it, whatever your body is doing right there, whether it be heat or pulse or something kind of helps. Huh. I think I could be wrong, Billy. That's actually, that makes sense to me. I mean, if it's not right, I could be wrong about heat, but those, your neck and wrist have specific something's going on, which is why you do it tonight because they want you to go stick your wrist in someone's face. Same thing about hairspray. When I've used hairspray, I get, because like my hair gets off everywhere and I'm like, I had a problem that when I sprayed it, it would get, like look wet and damp. And if I didn't use it, it would be not work. And then somebody said, put it far away and jump into it. Oh, do you jump? Well, I don't really jump, but I just think you're like bunny hopping up your hair and then I just lean into it. Put it far away from your head and then let it, spraying clone on your wrist is a longstanding habit because the wrist is a pulse point, an area where blood vessels are close to the skin surface, producing natural heat. Ah, this warms helps fragrance molecules evaporate more steadily, allowing the scent to diffuse gently throughout the day, rather than fading quickly. Oh, okay. So it allows, it's basically, it's almost like it keeps the clone in you. That seems unhealthy. Well, you want to be smelling good a few hours into the date, not sure. Well, either way, you don't need as much as J. Miss had and say, what do you, how many sprays do you think that was? It was more intense. I think it was like 10 or 10 or 12. That had to stung up the entire, I think it's going to be a whole entire stadium. I think the upper level could smell James Winston. Even before this James clip happened, like within the last couple of weeks, I started thinking about being a clone guy. I've never been a clone guy. I haven't either, but I will tell you this, the very few times I've worn a clone, I, I bought a suit years ago. And the woman who sold it to me was a Zegna suit, which at the time was the nicest suit I had ever bought. She said to me, buy this Cologne, it will drive women crazy. And I was like, look, you're just trying to, she was like, trust me. So I did. I've only pulled it out four to five times. Some of the more successful nights. And so I don't pull that much. I don't pull it out for a remote. They're going to scowl. I don't pull that for a sky. Just occasionally. It's a, if it's, you know, the club and shirt. Sometimes I'm like, this is dark. Oh, it makes that only sick. Not even in the next thing, you know, well, the rest is here. Did you give the name to the Cologne? Not telling you. I don't remember. It's a very small bottle. But I only bought it because she was attractive. And I was like, trying to look like I was a big spender. Yeah. It was too expensive. But I will tell you what, it worked. All right. It's kind of like when I had my health issue. And they gave me clonipin. And you got to be careful with that. I take like one a year to sleep. But it's the best sleep I have all year. Knocks you out. That's kind of how I am with this club. Well, I think you should try to add a remote just to see. No, we can't. We're going crazy. You saying that these women going crazy in the crowd. You can't have Marsha climbing up there while we're talking. Pat, calm down. All right. Thank you all very much. Survivor and TD. No, I'm taking the other team that I'm playing against in fantasy, but a mecca Buka is your favorite player. Correct. Yeah. He's one of my favorites. He's on Tampa. Okay. That's one strategy.
