Never Trust A Traitor

The transcript is a dynamic, emotionally charged dialogue between two close friends, blending personal reflections, life decisions, and urgent warnings. The host shares a vivid analogy about bodily congestion as a "squatter" in the lungs, urging listeners to take ownership of their health by acting as a landlord to their own body. A major personal decision—attending Harry Styles’ one-night-only concert—is postponed due to SOTY’s birthday and an expiring passport, reflecting deeper feelings of guilt and regret. The conversation also turns to a crucial public health reminder: no online post is truly private, and every shared moment could be seen by anyone worldwide, so creators must critically assess whether they’re comfortable with exposure. Other topics include the host’s obsession with AI-generated fruit videos, their growing concern about political betting apps that simulate nuclear war likelihood, and the emotional impact of watching a show like *JFK: The Love Story* after a critical comment. The dialogue also touches on mental health, creative routines like morning journaling, and a sense of urgency around appreciating present moments. Amidst surreal, humorous, and deeply personal anecdotes—such as a chicken salad clump incident or a man’s tote bag getting soaked—there's a consistent thread of self-reflection, vulnerability, and a call to mindfulness. The tone is urgent, playful, and deeply introspective, culminating in a reminder to trust the process and appreciate fleeting moments before they vanish.

>> Are we recording? >> Oh, absolutely. >> Absolutely not. >> I am buzzing. Never before, is he how many episodes has this been? >> 210. >> This is the 210. Never before, in all of the 209 episodes we've recorded, have I had more that I need to speak about. >> Okay, that's awesome. In addition to that, I have a huge list too. >> I feel stressed about that. >> Don't worry about it, baby. >> Baby. >> Baby, come on now. >> Baby, I feel really stressed today. >> Don't feel stressed in my arms. Come on. >> Come on, give it to me good. Hit me with what you got right now. Let's bullet fire it off. Come on, star right now. >> I need you to pack it up real tight, and I need you to tape it up real tight. >> You're not talking to pack it up tight. >> I need you to pack it up real tight. I need you to send it out and through and up. >> Cool. [MUSIC] >> I have to tell you something. >> What? >> I want to give you advice. >> What? >> Learn from you. >> I'm not looking for advice. Thank you, though. I need, this is advice I need you to heed. >> What? >> It's more of a warning I need you to heed. >> Is it personal for me or can apply to everyone? >> Who could happen to you? >> I'm not looking for personal advice right now. I appreciate you, though. >> Don't worry, I'm just, this is personal advice. Like this is something that can happen. When you wake up and you feel congested. >> Okay. >> No matter how. >> Connor, I woke up feeling really, weirdly congested in one nostril. >> Look, and this is why I want you to heed this. >> And I have gotten about it. >> And then you brought that up. How weird. >> My mom always says, like you need to get on something right now to get the congestion out of your body so that, because if it sits there and lives in you for a while. This is why Musin X is someone. It will make itself at home. That's what the Musin X monster was so comfortable living in there and he had two kids. And they were going off to school. They were full blown active members of their community right in the chest. And then there's an infection that comes right behind them. So you have to evict them. You have to be the landlord of your lungs and you have to say rent is going up, find your way out, up through my boobs and out my tubes. >> Can I make a prediction? >> Yeah. >> You are not the landlord of your lungs right now. You have a 10. >> You can hear it. And like, booby the clown, you know. >> You have a not a tenant, squatter. >> I have a squatter. Yeah. And they have squatters rights. >> Yeah, you're right. >> You got to abide by the law of the land. That's my bad. I should have done this a week ago. But I didn't end this morning, empty stomach. I'm heading out to this thing this morning. I have two coffees. I take a Musin X. Let me tell you. >> Bim there, my brother. >> Let me tell you. If you want to be the weirdest person in the room, take a Musin X on an empty stomach and have two coffees. >> Oh, were you not puky? I guess it's not a zinc base. >> No, I'm serious when I say that I do think that there's a little bit of math or something in Musin X. >> Okay. Yeah. I mean, there isn't soot of fed. >> Brooke, I was being such a freak and it was weird to be aware that you're being a freak. You know, I would have a very normal interaction, but then I wouldn't stop there. And this was across the board. Like it was like, I'm trying to think of one specific, I was talking with Reese Feldman this morning. >> Love. >> Like, love of my life. You know, you're just such a special, such a special man. Do you know the video of Zendaya and she's sitting there at Tom Holland and she's like, he laughs at first. >> That's really. >> And then she does it again. He doesn't see. So she over does it. That's how I was being with. No, it's like I say something. It's funny. >> Oh, it's not funny. >> And then I keep going. >> Okay. >> And this person, someone's not listening and I say it again, they're like, no, I heard you. >> Yeah. >> That's kind of where I'm at. So like right now, I'm just experiencing it. I'm trying to get like as much nutrients in my body to offset the musee as possible. But it's for my head's at. >> Understood. Thank you for letting me know where your head is at. My head is at in the space that there is an announcement coming out today in the form of a caller daddy episode with Sarah J. Mass and we are getting probably the next Aqatar installment. And so that could be happening like right now and I'm not on my phone and I just don't know. And so I'm shaking and apparently. Some sleuths have discovered that there might be three books being announced. I think you don't go, you don't go, you don't seek out Alex Cooper unless you have a trilogy. >> I feel like I could fly. I am so excited. >> I just don't know what she's going to say. >> He. >> I'm being fed. >> You are. >> I am being fed. You got this, you know the book I love about the monster that's bell hop. That author just posted a story that he's working on a third one of those. What else is something else is happening to. >> I saw you post something else. >> I keep posting. I can't stop posting. It's just hit after hit after hit. >> Brooke, I know. >> Connor. >> Like, no, something happened where Snapchat like subscribed me to you and I'm like, she's in my list, you know, like, yeah, every one of your stories I get as an alert on my phone. >> I don't know how that's happening, because I'm also getting alerts that I did not subscribe to. >> No, and it's like Brooke Averick, yeah, I'm in back in so much. >> Snapchat. >> Snapchat is my diary. >> Oh, good, man. >> Yeah, Snapchat is my diary. >> I'm obviously a fan of yours, but Snapchat doesn't know that. >> Appreciate it. >> Oh, Rob, Roush, doing Quinn. >> Yeah. >> That's crazy. It's just like, I'm getting so much content. >> His little promo was funny too. He's like, and this young man kind of shows up and he's going to give her a hand, maybe two hands, maybe his penis. >> I've bottomed out on all of his snake content. >> You want? >> You want? >> You bottomed out? >> Yeah. >> My bottom out, I mean, went back to the bottom of his feed. >> Okay. >> Yeah. >> That's important for people maybe listening for the first time. >> Yeah. My life has completely been changed since the last time I saw you, because I found out how to open my creative third eye. >> Let me let a bitch know how to do that, please, I'd really like that. >> Connor, first thing you do when you wake up, get your coffee, sit down. I want you to write three pages stream of consciousness. >> Love. >> They're called morning pages. >> Yeah. >> Okay. You know the artist's way. >> Yep. >> That's like the biggest part of the artist's way is just every morning, start by writing. >> Can I ask you something? >> You may. >> Is an artist's way like clowned on in the creative community as being like rich dad, poor dad, bullshit? >> I'm actually really not sure and I'm not doing the whole, it's like a full 12-week program that I'm not doing. I'm just taking the morning pages aspect and when I tell you, I am finally like now able to write like I used to with Phoebe after I do those three morning pages. I open my eye all by just writing three pages in the morning doesn't take long. It's not a big thing, it's such a little thing you can do. You can literally just write like I slept poorly last night like I'm hungry. >> It's like a journal, journaling thing? >> Yeah, it's just stream of consciousness and you'd be surprised at what comes out. I'm locked in one major epiphany the other day. >> Whoa. >> Yeah. >> Okay. Now that's a third eye. >> Yeah. >> Now I sat down the other day to, I got two things for you. >> Please give them to me. >> Okay. I'll give them to you. Are you willing to receive? >> Always. >> Wow. I sound like a little hungry little pig. I'm breathing so hard for my congestion. >> It's okay. We know you're not the landlord. >> I'm just like, it's out of my control. She's out of my hands. Okay. So I go to the coffee shop. I said, I'll start with, and this is like without you telling me that, we are synced up today. >> I do not. >> I need you to have lunch and then taking me to the next. You can get ahead of it. Do not become this. So I go, I'm going to go to the shop, I'm going to take out my pad. I'm going to write a gratitude journal before I begin. I was at the warm-up. And as I sit, lo and behold, and this won't surprise you at all, although this was not a promise that I made to you. I made a very specific promise to you. Craw trips out of my pants. >> Yep. I'm talking chords, I'm talking corduroy's. - Yep. - Well, gratitude journaling, which makes you kind of reconsider any sort of gratitude you do to have for your life. - Why are you investing in just like really cheap pants? - No, they're from Made Well. You know Made Well quality is pretty good. - Just your ass is so fat. - No, well, I wish it was like a positive connotation thing. I do think that like, don't think, like I'm not really doing anything to have a, have a positive body change that would make my bed. - Should we be spreading a little less? - I'm running a little less, yeah. - It's so cool. - No, I said try spreading a little bit less like your legs. - Yeah, I could. I mean, I was sitting on a bar stool. I wasn't really spreading. It's except for balance. - Yeah, and you were, you were, you were not wearing your panties. - I was, I am, yeah, I'm wearing underwear. - Great. - I'm wearing skims. - Oh, yay. - Yeah, oh, even. - And these are the pants? - No, the pants I'm not wearing. - Okay. - This was not today. This was two days ago. Now, I'm sitting there. I'm like, I'm already at the coffee shop. So I'm gonna stay here with my, with this new extended pair of pants. It offers me a little bit more flexibility here in the bar stool. And I'm, I get a chicken salad, salad. I didn't realize it was gonna be chicken salad just ordered chicken on my kale Caesar. It's chicken salad, which was a nice surprise. - I was gonna say to me, that would be an extremely pleasant surprise. - And it spread very easily across the whole bowl. It had a good spread effect. - I love that. - Chicken salad has that, you know? - They don't have chicken salad in Los Angeles. - Not good, but doesn't Jones on third have chicken salad? - I think they have a curry chicken salad, and I don't like curry. - I love curry. - I know. So anyways, I take, I take it, I'm eating this chicken salad. The thing about chicken salad is like, you gotta make sure you get the whole fork in your mouth. And don't get too confident. So I didn't get it. I missed my mouth twice. - Okay. - There's a young man that was on a Zoom call. He's taking a Zoom call to coffee shop, which like I have qualms about. I understand that sometimes you, it makes sense. You're gonna be working there all day. You have to take one quick Zoom call. The whole time I was there, he was taking a Zoom call. - Yeah, I don't subscribe to that. And he's sitting really, I think he was a little bit peed that I had to choose the seat next to him. So he left his tote bag just like really close to my stool. So every time I get down to pee or something, like my foot will get stuck in his tote, like in the farm. And I'm like, oh, like, sorry, I got my foot's in your tote. - Peep. - Oh, I'm just gonna squeeze by. - Hey, my tote was in your foot. - Broke like, I'm not 100% positive, but like I totally am, 'cause I saw it. I missed my mouth one time with this huge chunk of chicken salad. - Blue ended the tote. - It's in the bottom of his totes, probably still like, it went splat, like definitely, 'cause it was not, like the viscosity of the salad was not much. - We too of viscosity. - What? - Week two of viscosity. - Oh, yeah, I mean, it was clumpy, you know? So to bring it back to the clumps, as we always do, it had a clump factor that was really heavy. So I'm thinking about this young man, but he was on a call. I had my tubes were tied. I really couldn't have let him know that there would be something waiting for him at home. - Yeah, it sounds like a him problem. - I mean, he had it coming, but it wasn't something that I sought out to do to him. It's something that happened to him because of the grace of God in case-- - And it's an attention versus impact type of situation. - Brook, well said. - Although I think that's, that is in defense of him, which I don't wanna do. I'm trying to defend you. - I mean, he wasn't intentionally, I'm gonna give him a benefit out 'cause he didn't even make eye contact with me. - Okay. - But it's like control your toe. You know, keep an eye on your kid, keep an eye on your toe. - Keep an eye on your toe. - If your toe bag sits wide open, what could fall in? They'll never know. - You might be susceptible to clumped chicken salad. Opening where you are? - It's a risk of, of toting. Speaking of toads, check this out. - Hit me with that base. - My supply bag. - Whoa. - You see my pens? - Wow, you're really living like a Phoebe dream. - I know, I'm warping into the girl, but I can fit up to like seven journals in a year and my laptop and my two little printers. It is a full Mary Poppins bag and my two sticker books. - It's the solar for anyone wondering. - The zoola? - Solar. - Isn't that the woman that helps you give birth in a tub at home? - That's a doula. - That is exactly what you said. - I'm talking about the solar. - Oh. - Yeah. So that's what, that's, oh, and there's the solar pouch. But I have a different kind of pouch. - That's what I need for that. - I put my washi tapes and scissors and stuff in. Thank you. Yeah, that's the solar. - Anyway. - Nice. - You ready to hit for me to hit you with two pretty severe things? - Yep. - Something pretty severe happened to me yesterday. - First thing. - This is number, severe thing number one. - Okay. - It will henceforth to us and the community be known as actually, no, I don't wanna call it that 'cause I think that's actually something already. But let's just say it's not good, okay? I get a text yesterday. - Oh God. - Okay? - Yeah. - Hi, Brooke, we have such an exciting opportunity for you. Would you want to get on a plane tomorrow? So that would be today Wednesday. - Yeah. - And fly to Manchester, England. - To see the one night and one night only, Harry Styles concert. Netflix will fly you out, everything like that. - Wow. - Do I wanna do that? 587.8% rounded up. Yes, I wanna do that. Here are the two roadblocks that I faced. - There's two. - Cats. - No, not even that. One. - Me. - Not even you. - Oh, come on, me. - One. I could have figured out the cats. I could have figured out the podcast. First roadblock was SOTY's birthday is this Saturday. And I would still have to be in Manchester for it. And she was like, I don't wanna do anything for my birthday this year. And I made a pretty big stink about, you're gonna do something. You just sit back, relax, take a load off. I'm gonna plan it, whatever. And I kinda feel like I had dropped the ball for her 30th a little bit. So I really wanted to do something. And by something, I mean, just like plan a beach day, but like something nonetheless. And it just would not have felt right for me to be like, I am gonna head out now. - Yeah. - Happy birthday. So that was the one thing that was-- - You're a good friend. - That was weighing on me. - Two is that my passport expires in two weeks. - You could have just started with that one. - Which in most places you need a six month buffer, but in the UK, you don't. But also like that would be pretty scary to risk a passport that expires on March 20th. - Yeah. - Especially just like with everything right now. - I would say yeah, the nuclear war would have been my number one reason not to travel abroad right now. - Sure, that as well. And so I-- - One, so do you's birthday. What am I supposed to do? My hands are tied. Two, the nuclear war was kind of bugging me. - It was kind of getting to me. With that expired passport, coming up around the corner. And so I will not be in attendance. - Okay. - At the Harry Styles one night, once in a lifetime, one night only event. And that's something that's weighing on me pretty, pretty heavily. - I do truly think there's a reason why there were so many factors blocking your entry to Harry's house. - I hope that it's not something that I'll regret for the rest of my life. But I don't know, it's too soon to say. It's your only to say. - I think I'll have a really hard time when that concert special hits Netflix. That's what I'll say. - Like I should have been there. - Uh-huh. I should have been there. I was supposed to be in the video. Like those kinds of vibes, you know? - Yeah, that's tough. That's tough, man. I don't know what to say. I think a lot of people would do the same and a lot of people would do differently. - That's a good point. So that's hard. And I just hope you know how I always look back on the Hamilton original cast and how I never saw them. And how if I have one regret in life? It's that. Although there weren't really as many roadblocks to that. But I just hope that I don't end up regretting this for the rest of my life. I don't think I will. I think I made the right choice. Even though I'm completely devastated. But it will be okay. - It will be, I mean, these things pass. - And I'm excited for Soda's birthday. The second thing that I just wanted to touch on really quickly is just a PSA to the general public. Something I've learned recently is that if you post something on the internet, doesn't matter where, doesn't matter if you think no one's going to see this. You need to be prepared for anyone in the world to see it. So every time you post, you need to think to yourself, "It is possible that every single person in the world could see this," and you have to ask yourself, "Am I okay with this?" If you are, go ahead and post that for me. If you're not okay with even one person seeing it, maybe hold off on it. Just a moment. Just a moment. Is this something that I learned? Did you learn this last week or last week's episode? I just wanted to share that now if I have even an inch of a doubt about something, it's not getting posted, that's how I'm living my life moving forward. I like that. That's good rule of thumb. Anyone can see anything if it's on the internet. I didn't think you would see that. It's not, unfortunately, as much as I want it to be. It's not really about excuse when you're posting publicly. Oh my gosh. Which actually reminds me. I went to Frame Bridge over the weekend. Yeah. And Ray was there. How is he? And he said, he was like, thanks for bringing me up. I'm a wealth of stories. I really think that we may be trying to tap into him when you're in town. Oh my gosh. We have him on for a segment. I would love that. He shared some intro to some of the stories and I was like, oh, just hold that thought because this does sound so interesting. But it was so funny because I go to Frame Bridge, obviously, I frequent and that was my first time seeing him. I was genuinely, very scared to run into you because I feel like I blew up your spot. People were dressed up as you for Halloween, you know? You know, I was so tickled by the girl that dressed up as you were, you love it. Right. I sent her Phoebe. Yeah. Oh, yeah. Well, you did. Mm-hmm. That is too sweet. It just felt like really like amazing to me that someone is that invested. Yeah. No, me too. And so. That is so sweet, Brooke. Okay, anytime. I had another story from the weekend that I was going to tell you two quick things actually. Uno. I have been really seeking out like when I go out on the town now like, I want a buggy. Like I forgot like I enjoy getting down, you know, totally. For a while, I thought maybe I'm a sitter. Like I just I really don't want to go unless because they're like a base camp for people to sit. Really enjoy. Now I figured out a more of a dancer. I find it. Did you not always know that? No, I knew I liked to dance like at a wedding and stuff. I'm happy to be first in this in the on the dance floor. But I really like kind of grooving it, you know, like I know the songs, I want to dance a little bit. And so I'm dancing at this bar and it wasn't like a bar bar. It was kind of like, like you knew every song, it was like, I'm just dancing on my out like that kind of music. And I'm sitting there. I'm kind of grooving and I was really having fun. And then later on in the night, there was like a corner of girls. They were on like a bachelor at trip and this girl comes up and goes, I love like, and I'm getting ready to be like, I don't like the way she's like, I love it. You just don't care at all what people think. So she moves in her own way by the cooks. Great song. Yeah. I agree. But I do care a lot what people think and for her to deliver that is like a, wow, you really like, you're so brave. Yeah. It is a micro aggression for sure. Well, it's such a micro aggression to be like, I love that you don't care what people think. I do. Yeah. I care deeply what people think. And now I want to go home. Yeah. Yeah. I got back. What did I look like out there? You will never catch me dancing. I'm a sitter like through and through and through to my bones. You jump. I'm not even one percent of the answer. You jump. You jump. Huh? I've seen you bounce. No, you haven't. Like slowly, like to the beat, like, I've seen you dancing and say, woo. I could say woo. I wouldn't call what I do dancing. It's more of just like, I will, I will move a little bit. If I have to, but I am so, I have no rhythm. And I'm just so embarrassed by it that thinking of anyone like seeing that, because when you look at someone and they have no rhythm, it's a tough look, you know? Well, I think that that's probably POV or that girl watching me dance. No, you have rhythm. I don't. I thought I had rhythm at one point in my life. I lost it. No. The emperor needs to find his new groove. Can you start calling me the emperor? Um, let's see if you earn it by the end of the episode. Okay. No. Fair. Yeah. I should earn it. Um, and two, the second place I dance this weekend, I went and saw Conan Gray in concert. He's such a, it was such a treat. You know that that's going to be like the new, that's, I mean, not the new, but like, you know, he's going to be the biggest star on the planet. What have I been saying about Conan Gray? No, I mean, I, obviously, I've been a fan too, but like you, you, I, seeing him in the, and it was a the, it was the, it was a theatrical performance. The production that went into the show, his live show, was so otherworldly, and I didn't know our friend, Emma was going to be there too, and I saw Emma. And it was such, it was so much fun. Yeah. Get to hang out after the show. We had such a good time. It was just such a. Wow. I'm, have the opportunity to see Conan in concert. You should definitely, obviously, very jealous. Have you heard his song, The Winter? Yes. But to me, I want everyone to press pause on this episode and give that a listen. It's full body chills every time. It was also amazing because I've, the arena that he performed tonight, only seen like hockey games in, oh, and to see him sell out the same arena as a hockey match or hockey, hockey match. I think game, honestly, a game of hockey, a match of hockey. I think hockey, hockey game gives it, yeah, hey, man, who gives a rip? Who gives? Um, it was a, so many people and it might be a match, might be hockey match. Anyway, it was really good, so that was really fun. Yeah. He's incredible. I love the guy and I feel like deeply connected to him because just like the lyrics, honestly, like the way he writes about just like avoidance and nausea and deep, deep, um, unrequited love. Like, yeah. Unrequited? Yeah. Otherwise, unrequited. Unrequited? Yeah. It's unrequited. What? Right? Yeah. Can we just have someone, can we, can we have them, can we have them say it? Can I hear it? Can I get a second opinion? I believe you, Brooke, with my whole heart, I just need to hear someone else say it. I got it. Unrequited. Whoa. I'm so glad that this has never come up. I'm shocked that I've never said unrequited before. It does not sound right. Um, it is unrequited, yeah. My gosh, well, um, and what does that mean? What does it mean? Yeah. Oh, like not returned. Oh, sad. Oh, so sad. It's like unrequited. It's like almost like unrequited, yeah. Yeah. Oh, my God. I have a cavity. Damn. You know, I never had one. Yeah. I know. You tell me every time I have one of my 11 cavities, which is so funny because I don't eat like any candy. I brush my teeth constantly. I'm flossing like it's nobody's, it is genetics. I don't floss. When people are, when people leave a situation, they're like, I'm so worried that my breast tank. And then I always tell them like, don't worry, like no one is remembering it. Just so you know, if I meet someone in your breast, things like you are now stinky breath to me for the rest of your day. I know. Even if every other interaction we have is just minty fresh, beautiful smell on your body. You are stinky cavernous. It's a hard one. It's a hard one. It's a hard one. No, like I don't shake it. I remember that for the rest of my life. I know. I know. I know. You know I have an issue with smells. I know. And I have an issue with sounds as well. I know that too. And sight. I know that. And I don't love how things feel sometimes. I agree. The texture of them. Yeah. Senses are tough. What is it? Am I missing any? Touch. Taste. I don't think I'm super sensitive to taste. Okay. So maybe that's my one with every the opposite of an Achilles heel is. I think yeah. I think Santa is my scent and sound. Yeah. Well, well, I just sounded like I have a disease. What was I going to say? I say about it, it doesn't matter. - About breath. - About breath. - Yeah, the breath, it doesn't matter. - Here's what I'll say. - What? - So Rob won traders. - Yes. - Which is crazy 'cause when you DMed him, like, "Hey, can you come on the podcast?" Like he had already won. Like he knew that? - Yeah. - We're not getting to him, champ. - Well, he was on the "Tonight Show" last night. - Yeah. - Dude, I think that the ship has left the harbor. - Yeah, that's something I'm coming in terms to with. - He said, he said, yes, I would love to. - I think that it was a formality, which I appreciate more than life itself. But we won't be seeing Rob anytime soon. - I mean, the guy's got a busy schedule. His guy has completely blown up, 10 to 15 in the face. - Talk about someone that's absolutely let themselves go. - Dude, you don't watch, right, you didn't watch? - I started and then I got obviously side tracked. - Here's what I'll say about this. The guy was a trader through and through from the very beginning. He played the game and he played like a trader. And I am done hearing people shit on him for playing the game. - What are people saying? - People are just like, he was a snake. - That's the whole thing. - Of course he was, yeah. People are like angry with him because he really fucked people over at the end, as is the game. But like the guy played probably the best game I've seen. - I would be really concerned about people having actual visceral feelings about someone playing the game well. - There's visceral feelings about it. It pisses me off the guy. - I mean, I just played the game. - I would absolutely love to be in a situation where you get rewarded by being manipulative. - I think you should, I like 1,000% and I've thought about this like daydream about it of us both being on traders. - Brooke, my God. - And you're obviously a trader and I'm a faithful and like I'm so sorry Connor, like I can't be your ally. Like I wouldn't trust a word you said and I would say that in my confessionals too. - What? - I would not trust you. Although, if you're a trader and I'm a faithful and I am your ally, you would keep me in the game. - You are evil. - Well, I know you're the trader through and through. - No, what if I wasn't a trader? - I know you are. - Okay, so now we'll never get cast because now, no, I mean you might not be, but like to me, like I just can't trust a word you say. - What the fuck? - What do you mean? You just said that I'm, you just said you're grateful that there's a game you can lie and manipulate your way through. - I don't do that IRL. That's something I'm doing day-to-day. What do you mean that you don't trust a word I say? - I'm talking about in the game. - Oh my gosh. - We are in the game right now. - Once we step into the game, it's just like, - I don't trust a word you say. - Oh my gosh, I'm just like, this is changed the way I look at you outside of the game. - No. - I feel like you just-- - We've got stuff done with talking about how it's a game. - I feel like you just absolutely entrap me at the corner cope. - No, I am playing a faithful game. And I know that you're scary. - No, I'm not. - You're not. - You're scaring me. - You're gaslighting me. - You're scaring me? - You're gaslighting me because you're, yeah, I'm not daring this. - No, I'm not gazing you. - You are. - You're scaring me. - You have to think about how you want to be a trader, how you're a great manipulator, how you're a liar. Now I'm telling you that I would know that you're lying to me most likely, and I'm not gonna trust you. And now you're blaming me. - No. - Yes. - Oh absolutely. - What else in the room? - Oh absolutely. - I'm having a wild, wild out of touch fantasy about one day being cast, and that would be so fun to act. And you're saying, I don't trust a word you say. - Should I, okay, picture this, picture this for me. We're in the game, we're in the castle, you're a trader. You tell me, with your masterful acting and manipulation skills, Brooke, I promise you I'm a faithful. I'm supposed to believe that. - You should expect me to believe that. - And I'm gonna ring your neck. - You expect me to believe that? - I would, yeah. - No. - Peacock, do you not have two of us? - But if you kill me, I'd never forgive you. - The first double-hama said, but it's like we actually both die. (laughs) - And, oh, I hope, and you know there's trader on trader crime, right? - Yes. - If I was a trader and you were a trader, I would hope that there would not be any trader on trader crime, that's what I'll say. - I would rather lose than have trader on trader with a good boss. - I, you know what? And you think that before you go in, like, I am going to be a team with my traders, but shit happens. - No, not like that. - You can't control the other traders. - My family can no longer play putt putt, we can no longer play monopoly, 'cause things got too heated. I know that you're able to lose yourself in a game. - You can lose yourself. I'm very competitive. And obviously, I like winning, but not at the cost of my friendships, not at the cost of my family, sure. Friendships, no. - Okay. But I do think, like, and I don't mean to like elevate myself, like, in your life, but I do think we have more of that, like family bond, like the sibling connection. Like, to me, I could be mean to you because it's like family vibe. - Yes. - So like, I wouldn't worry about hurting your feelings in the same way I would another friend. - Trust is completely different than hurting your feelings. I'm, I'm, I'm, I'm, I'm striking. - I would not trust you in a game of manipulation. - You just call me a rat. - What did we just talk about about being a rat or snake in the game of traitors? I'm not faulting you for playing the game. - Yeah, okay, you're right. - I'm not faulting you, but at the same time, I'm not gonna trust you either. I'm playing my game, you're playing yours. - That's fair. - Oh my gosh. - I don't hold it against you. You're playing the game. - That's real crazy. I actually like, don't think I can do this actually. (laughs) - I'm telling you, it's like, it's, it's, once you get in there, it's really. - No, I mean, Brooke, we're here. I'm talking to you virtually, and I'm getting, I'm about to have to take my, my top layer off 'cause I'm sweating. - I know, it's really, I, I imagine once you get to that round table. And everyone's coming for each other and you have to defend yourself. - That's, my bread and butter though. Like, that's when, when we're like calling people out for stuff, like, that is so much fun. Like, that's my favorite part. You know when everyone's like, I would hate to be called out though. - Do you ever play Mafia with your friends? - Yes, I love Mafia. - Yeah, me too. - Mafia is so much fun, but. - It's the same thing. - You're getting, like, my friends have gotten noise complaint from their neighbor and they live in a stand alone house. 'Cause I was like, "No, no, you're about to bullshit, bullshit." That's how you blink. You know, like, I have a pretty good read on people, I think, you disagree. - I'm not talking about the blinking Mafia. I'm talking about the one where everyone goes to sleep and then you get tapped, you know, the one that's like traders. - Yeah, no, I know what you're talking about. - Okay. - Secret Hitler. - Pretty much. - Yeah. - Um, I've become more of a fish bull guy myself, but I get really competitive with that too, like, to the point where it's like, I have to come downstairs in the morning and be like, hi. - How y'all doing? - How are you guys? It's like, how did everyone sleep? And, like, the night before I'm like, that was the fucking Grinch, you piece of shit. Like, how are we supposed to know that? - Yeah. - You gotta walk with your knees higher, you know, on your tiptoes and kind of move your arms, like Jack Sparrow. - I totally get you. I'm never in the mood to play fish ball, but then whenever we start, I'm always really into it. - I'm never in the mood to do this setup. - Yeah, it starts when I can sit down and plug and play. - Yeah, yeah, yeah. Agree. - I'm also not in the mood to lose. Like, I'm just never gonna be in the mood to lose. Like, I really want my team to be locked in. If I see someone on their phone during fish ball, I'm really, really on your neck. - Yeah. - I get that. No, I'm a game player. - Me, it broke me too. And that's what I love about us. We really do need to be put in something together, 'cause I think that that would be-- - I would love truly to do some sort of traitors like show. - I would do, I would also, I wouldn't pass up like that thing, that obstacle course, so I feel the mood. - Wipe out? - Wipe out. - You know, I was offered that. - Oh my gosh. Like, I would have to have an aura frame playing of you in the wipeout course for the rest of my days. It would be hung up like Harry Potter moving photos and it would be you getting smacked by that huge hand. - It's not, like, I don't have the length to reach it. Like, the obstacle. - I want to see you jump on those balls across the moat. - I don't want my, I like, I would have to be wearing pants. That's my thing. I really don't like having my legs out. But if they were to offer me some sort of full body suit, I could do it. - Yeah, I'm looking at my notes. - Did I say everything? - Oh, no, I didn't. But you go on. - Why don't you, I have some stuff that pertinent stuff that isn't personal. - Okay, but also speaking of shows that we could go on, this one we couldn't go on due to dumb. But. - Due to dumb. - Due to dumb. Pop culture jeopardy is, I watched the first episode, you know, it's the one with the Colin Joes host, and I got so many right that I put a team together. - Yeah. - Me, Matt King, Megan, and I was like, we're full sending this, we're. - I mean, that's father's unholy spirit. That's the trifecta. - Yeah, we are doing this. And then I was hanging out with Matt the other night during stationary club. - Yeah. - And we watched an episode after I'm telling him, I'm so good, like I'm gonna be an asset to the team, blah, blah, blah, I couldn't get one. Couldn't get one, but Matt on the other hand, you've never seen anything like it. - Well, you know, I go to trivia every time I'm in LA. - Where? - I don't want to blow up the spot 'cause really, it was like show past the last time. And people cheat, which really upsets me 'cause it's like, if we don't have honesty during trivia, like where do we, like nothing's sake, where can we have honesty? Like in this day and age, you're really shazamming a song. - Yeah. - Not right, you know what I didn't write. - I agree, you can hold yourself to the standard. - Yeah, and I really crushed. They did Oscar award-winning movies and they zoomed in really close on the poster, the art. And I got nine out of 11 of them. - Wow, like Dunkirk, Dunkirk was one. And like everywhere, everything all at once. And it was like zoomed in on Jamie Lee Curtis. Like I like, got it, you know? - I was able to do really well at that one episode because they had Broadway as a category. And then TikTok and also friends. - Oh. - So I was like, hit after hit after hit. And then I couldn't get anything from any of the other episodes. So I withdrew from my team. But I still hope Matt goes on one day. - I think Matt could. - Oh, he absolutely could. It was amazing to watch. - He's just, he's got a brain that's working over time in specific ways. - Did you watch SNL? - No. - Okay, well I watched for the first time in a very, very, very long time because it was Connor story hosting. - Right. I was at Conan. - Sure. - Sure, sure, sure. - First of all, he like truly is acting, like even in these sketches, like he brings substance to something that you don't think can have substance. Like it is, his acting is out of this world. Like I think he is going to be like the biggest star that we've seen in our lifetime. I wish more than anything. Last SNL could have given him a little bit more to work with. Anything, almost anything to work with. And that's what I will say about that. I know you friends in high places and shit like that. And I have nothing but respect for everything. And it's just, I wish they gave him a little bit more. - He back is important. Feedback is important. - They gave him. There was one good one, an ice skating one that Hudson, made an appearance in it. - I saw that. - And that was good, good. That was fit. - That was great. - Yeah, that was good. - I haven't cut up yet, but that was when I saw it. I was like, oh, this is really good. - Yeah, totally. - And you know, I'm not like, not, oh, they're so precious. Not expecting, oh, they're so, I can't eat. Like it's so, so stupid. I would love them so much. They're so great. So I'll picture Hudson with Rob this morning. I hope it all ends soon. I can't take it anymore. - Rob who? - Oh. - Don't show me a picture of Hudson with Rob Roush. - Hudson I just saw is being cast in Emily Henry's new adaptation, produced by JLo. - Well, that is just speculation because JLo and Emily Henry followed Hudson. - That's, that's good to me. - This happens every single time Emily Henry follows someone, she like blows up that like they're being cast. And it's usually not the case. So I'm not gonna get my hopes up yet. But if we do get Hudson in an Emily Henry adaptation, I am gonna run out in an entire floor of a hospital. Just for me to have my pick of rooms for when the time comes. Appreciate it. - I think that you should probably start looking into booking your stay because it's, I think it's gonna, I mean, it's pretty too for two at this point. I think all things are very intentional, especially from the JLo side. I think Emily's very kind soul. No one speculated that I was acting in anything when she followed me. I do wanna fly. - Neither. - Oh yeah. But you're an author. - Thank you for saying that. - So that make your, I mean, you guys are peers in the space, which is so sweet. - Yeah, that is crazy. - Well, I guess watch the space, but they move pretty quickly over there. JLo doesn't really wait around for anybody. That's the one Emily Henry book I haven't read. Is the one. - Oh, you better get to it. Better get to it before a guitar drops and then you're, you're, - I'm stressed. I'm so backlogged. - You're gonna be balls deep in a guitar for a while. - I'm still not done the first question city book. It's, it's tougher than I want it to be. And there's, at least there's only two more in there each 800 pages. Yeah, here's something else I'll say that's, been affecting my life negatively. I would say, oh, net negative. My AI is bad. - Yes. - Sometimes I get confused. - Oh, I know. - And like, please, like, I'm genuinely trying to learn. Like, truly, I am. I don't, like, some AI is much worse than others, correct? Yes, yes. So, how bad is it, and I'm being genuine, there are these videos on my free page that I can't avoid anymore. And they, I'm sure some of you have been privy to them as well. They are fruits, but personified with, and sexualized, as well, the female fruits. I'm talking Appalina. - I saw, I saw broccoli with a huge rack. - Yeah, I'm talking Appalina, Benanita, I think it's Mangalina as well. I'm talking, like, massive racks. And they're all sexual videos of these fruits cheating on each other, having really dramatic affairs. Like soap, they're basically soap opera with personified, sexualized fruit. And they're AI-generated, bad. I acknowledge that. I can't stop watching them. I've fallen victim to what they want, which is the brain rot that sucks you in. How bad is it that I'm watching them? Is me giving these views, which I, unfortunately, it's something in my brain is now wired to these videos, which is just what they want. They've got me where they want me. - Yes. - How bad is it that I'm giving it views? I understand the production of these videos is bad. That's what I get. But is watching them equally bad too? - I'm just gonna say this, and I'm not coming at you. I just think that demand. - Supplying demand. - Creates, yeah. Like, and watching it would read to them as like, oh, they want more of these. - But I think they're gonna do it regardless. Like, they're just churning these out. It's just crazy that like, the white rhino will go extinct because I'm watching a celery stock sheet on an apple. You know, it's like. - Yeah, it's black, it's black mirror through and through. - Yeah, there's, I mean, there's so much, but like, this is just like, this one feels so stupid, but there's the fact that there's real repercussions of these fake storylines of fruits, like having affairs is really something. And I feel like we're MD foodie boys right now talking about this. - No, I actually think that you're, like, there was a lot to what you just said. And it honestly, like, affects me. - I know I wasn't very succinct, but it is like, pretty eye-opening, and I also just saw, and this is like shifting gears a little bit and we can shift back to like, fruits having sex shortly. But like, I just saw that there's, you like, you like to gamble, right? - Yeah, I love Blackjack. - So there's all these apps now, polymarket, calishe, all these things were like, from your phone, it started as like sports betting, and then now it's like, how quickly will, will, or like, who will be, who is a bad bunny gonna bring out as like, a guest on the Super Bowl show? You know, like, all these things, and people create these things that could happen, and then people bet, and then sometimes it's like six options you can pick from, it's like, yeah, like this. So someone created one, and it was like the likelihood of nuclear war, and it opened up to the politicians choosing the options. And so they were allowed to inside trade on the nuclear war that we're about to have even though they are the ones calling the shots. Is that making sense in my saying? That is the most black, that's more black mirror than fruit having sex contributing to the extinction of the white right now. Insider trading on the likelihood of nuclear war. And I feel like people aren't understanding that like this is so funny, but like this is not like a survivable thing. Like a nuclear fallout is like, there's TV shows about it. Um, I almost like, we're lucky we have this podcast. Like, I really want to just like this, this podcast is genuinely akin to watching wipe out. It should be like a monkey symbol. What like brain rot? Yeah, it should just be like it, like turn it off. I actually don't want to talk about nuclear war. I thought I was going to say, like I can't think of like the world being wiped out right now. I know. It's it's just like it would make sense with like everything. Yeah. Um, it's not good. And you know what? But you know what? On on that. Yeah. If anyone, if anyone's waiting, go ahead, quote, if anyone's waiting on us to to let out our statement about our stance on the nuclear war, we think it's bad. I need a text Caleb about the fruits. Yeah, Caleb would know. Yeah. I have something to tell you. Yeah. I know the nuclear war is on their eyes. And but just don't rush the process. If February didn't March, April, May. Oh, nice. That's reminding me of this ominous fortune I got in my fortune cookie last night. Telling me that I need to trust everything that happens this year, which I don't like. Like, why do I need to? What's going to happen that I need to just trust in? Oh my gosh. Yikes. Which I don't care. Yeah, I didn't care for that. That's okay. You're going to be visited by three spirits though. Would you want that? Yeah. I like don't love living alone, but I would love if it was three spirits and they could like, it's like, they're not in my way and they're not using any dishes. Oh, but they have to take me to my past and my future. Yikes. I like forgot about that. I do not want to go to my future ever. I was really seriously thinking the three spirits we're going to sit with and watch a movie. No, no, no, no, no, no. You're y'all have like excursions and stuff. No, we full blown have stuff to take care of. Yeah. Oh, wait. So was one of the three spirits the present day? Yeah. The ghosts of past, present and future. What did the present day one do? Like, did he die earlier today? Why is he a ghost already? I'd be like, you just got here. You don't know shit. I kind of forget the concept. I think he was just like reflecting on life and all the mistakes he's made and like what he could have done if he made different choices. Right. Right. Right. Her husband died, but it's like, she's really like, it's so, I'm talking about the Krispy Kreme woman, Annie. It's really, it's like, I don't know the word that I'm looking for, but like, I guess when you get to an age, like, she's pretty matter of fact about it. Yeah. She's just like, I loved him so much and it was this time and now I'm a widow. And it's just like, of course, it's tragic, but it's also like, not. It's just like, you just sounded like Vanessa Huggins during COVID. Yeah. I mean, people are going to die. They are at the end of their lives. And it's just like the the way that she's accepted it is almost like a little bit healing the way she's kind of looking at death. It's just like, yeah, I loved him and our life was amazing together and he was sick. But now he's gone. So I've been watching her videos. She's like vlogging on like, life as a widow. Mama Mia P3a. Huh? I said, Mama Mia P3 and it wasn't necessarily appropriate right there. But you know, it's so weird giving everything that we just talked about. What? There was a blood moon last night and it said like once every 10,000 years, but I feel like there was like six this month. There's always something happening that's supposed to happen every 10,000 years, but I've already experienced it like eight times. Do you know that? Like, when I was a kid and they were like, this is the only time you'll see this commons in your lifetime. The way that I was like, okay, everyone up three in the morning, I woke up my whole family and said, this is really something that we need to be outside paying attention to. I was I was gathering the troops. I was like, texting my neighbors, everyone up. We got to see this. It's the only time we're gonna see Haley's comment. I saw Haley's comment and I think that that one and who care? You know, it's like, Haley's like, what does Haley comment have to do with like my day to day? Like, well, what's scary to me is that when things actually are once in a lifetime and you experience them, that's it. It's over. Never again in your life. I hope you experience that in a way that you can remember. Like, it's just weird that Haley, I saw Haley's comment when I was in six, six, six grade or something and then today, I had to pay my con Addison bill. What's the correlation? I don't know. I just feel like since I woke up and saw Haley's comment. Like, I'm someone that saw that with my own eyes. Like, maybe I should get some money off my electricity bill. Okay. I do want to say really quickly. This is like a good time for me to say this. I kept watching JFK the love story thing. Yeah. I'm an episode behind. So one Dr. Schlossberg has let us know that he doesn't love the show, the representation of the fan. I kept watching jack. Yeah. I have fallen out of love. I have fallen out of love for the story because of what Jack said. That I think that played into it. One, Sarah pigeon brilliant. I'm kind of some of the acting is kind of giving hallmark movie. I actually think that like some of the characters like with the Darrell with Darrell Hannah. I was like, there's this is this woman like a horrible actress or what? And then I looked up like Darrell Hannah and I was like, oh no, she's actually so good. Yeah. So I think a lot of it is just these people are like really good actors. Okay. But the people are were weird. And I think Jack doesn't like the show. Like, I wouldn't either. Fry were him, that for sure. But yeah, I mean, it goes back to what I said about like your family, like the Dahmer thing, like those were real people that got murdered and now Ryan Murphy is making a ton of money off of the story of your brother or your father or your sibling, like whatever was murdered. No, yeah. Jack said like donate the money, which like obviously they're not going to, but that would be a great solution. Do you like the show? It's good. I know. It is good. Especially right now, you know, it's been raining just about every day in New York City. And so it's been a good kind of cavernous time for me here. It is going to be, Brook, it was 20 degrees this morning. It is going to be 75 next week. It's because of the fricking fruit videos. It's because of the fruit videos. Thank you, fruit video. That's crazy. Yeah, no, I mean, everyone's about to get as sick as I am. I want it to be really nice when I come to New York next month. But I also want to be able to wear these gorgeous boots that are more of a like cold weather vibe. I'm really enjoying getting dressed up. The jacket piece is kind of making me lose it, but like this hybrid part where you can wear light sweater and you can also wear like a little coat over top. Very nice. It's fleeting because soon I'll be smelling pee. I'll be sweating in my shorts. And I'll be cutting my underwear off at the US Open bathroom and putting it into the trash. Yeah, treasure these times. You don't know what you got till it's gone and they literally paved paradise and they put up a bark and a lot which is disappointing. It's disappointing. Everyone reminded to appreciate the fact that you can breathe right now if you can. And and then remember that trust the process. Trust everything that happens this year. This year. This year. Because if February didn't march April, May, wait, if February didn't march, April, May. And we will leave you with that and an additional reminder that if there is even one person you don't want to season thing, do not post it. Thanks so much. Goodbye. Bye.
