The episode blends personal storytelling with light-hearted gameplay in a "Never Have I Ever" game, exploring intimate family topics like parenting, marriage, and childhood beliefs. The hosts share candid moments about their family life, including their children’s curiosity about Santa, the Easter Bunny, and family secrets, emphasizing the value of open communication. The conversation is punctuated by humor and self-deprecation, highlighting how even everyday decisions—like parenting rules or household routines—can be deeply meaningful. Thank you to Quince for sponsoring this portion of today's episode. Let me tell you the seasons are changing. It's starting to be time that we can get out our denims again. We can get out our sweaters and there is no better place than Quince. So many of the things I'm constantly reaching for in my closet to layer up, dress up, dress down, come from Quince because they have very, very high quality products. I'm talking 100% Mongolian cashmere. They have silk organic cotton wool. They have those premium fabrics but at an amazing price. Everything at Quince is actually priced 50 to 80% less than similar brands and that is because they work directly with ethical factories, cutting out the middle man so you're paying for high quality, not brand markup. Actually just last night Matt was telling me that he grabbed his shorts. I don't fit my clothes. I've been hitting the gym and so I need new clothes. He bought me Quince swim trunks that are really high quality. I wear them all the time when we go on the pool with the boys. I'm excited to see which he picks out from Quince for me next. Your nice khaki shorts are from Quince. Wait the khaki that I wear like literally every day. Yep those are from Quince. You don't even know where your clothes are from but if you had to guess they're probably from Quince because I love shopping their min section as well for Matt. You can wear them in many different ways for many different seasons. Find your next fall favorites at Quince. Download the Quince app for app exclusive offers or go to Quince.com. Get free shipping on your order and 365 day returns now available in Canada and the UK too. And when Quince asks you where you heard about them let them know that unplanned sent you. It's the best way to support the show. Never have I ever stalk someone on social media. I've stalked someone. Try. Are you serious? You can just go ahead with the quince show. I got in no voice. Stop right here. Hey we're letting you reset. Never have I ever found what my significant other's friends attracted. I promise you I've never been attracted to your friends. That's not the question. Never have I ever sexed. I don't want that on the internet. Don't eat that. Mom you never take in like an artistic photo of bad with his clothes off. No. No thank you. Never have I ever lied while playing this game. Maybe. What's up dude? Hey welcome back to Unplan. Yay. Today we have my parents joining us for a fun game of never have I ever given up for John and Charlie. That's a good sports. Yes. Thank you. Yeah you know Abby's parents would never do this. I feel like you could convince my mom but my dad you'd have to drive his body in here. I even offered to buy him beer and he said no. He said no. I think that means we're stupid. You guys are fan favorites. Everybody was begging for you back in the comments of our last episodes. We're super honored to have you both here and I can't believe this is our fifth time playing never have I ever with you guys. We played this four times in our main YouTube channel. First never have I ever is never have I ever kept an ornament from my ex. That's mean. You're just leaving this. What? I've never. I've never, ever, ever, ever. We're going to let you. It's an ornament. It's an ornament. An ex. Ornaments used to be important. She still talks about that. Stop. You've got to be so funny. We'll have to take out the name of my mom's ex. That's so funny. No because I remember there. I distinctly have memories of being a kid and like putting ornaments on the Christmas tree and I'm like who's ****. Yeah. I know. We did not put that on the tree. It was just in the box. Okay just in the box. But it was written on the box. Right. Dad you're actually hilarious for like big so chill with that. Honestly. I think that's really. It was a dog. It was a little dog. That is too funny. Okay next we have never have I ever. My lord we have really front loaded these to be spicy. Never have I ever regretted having kids. Oh my goodness. Should we even answer that? That's like that. So that's so okay answering it. I'm okay. Okay. I guess you're the one that he's really okay. I guess depending on your answer. You just said a lot there. Okay. Three, two, one. I've never. No. Okay. I feel like I definitely in the newborns phase though. I was like what the hell did we. No I think that makes sense. Like you have a new baby that's screaming all the time. You're like what have we done? But it's not like regret. You're just like. Yeah. Whoa. Yeah. You just really dove into this. Yeah. But I think it's good to be honest about that because I feel like people in the newborn stage. I just we just talked to some people in the newborn stage the other day. And I could tell that they were like not doing good. Yeah. And I just felt bad for them. But it's it's just like a really dark period that you get through. You know. And you look back on it with fondness. It's not like it's like oh that was just. I don't know if I look back on it. With five. I'm glad that we got through. I'm glad that our marriage survived. Oh my goodness. I think fortunately Teresa was able to carry a lot of weight and I was able to do my work. Was that a weight joke or was that? Oh my god. She took that. She took that ownership on. It was able to do it. But there's some people just can't do it. And she was able to do that. And we did notice that once the Caleb the oldest one started getting to the point where he was wanting all kinds of attention. Then Matt came along and they started playing each other. And your boys are doing the same thing. It really takes off a lot of response. Well, not responsibility. Just allows them to play together. Have a lot of fun. It is funny how like the oldest and like middle child or whatever. Like how how they or yeah, like first kid and second kid. How they take on certain like attributes is like because you said that even in our kids, it's like you're with me and my older brother, right? Yeah. That's why I was exactly. And that's why dad's been suggesting we bring on this guy who wrote a book called Birth Order. Oh, yeah. Oh, yeah. Lehman. Lehman or Lehman. Lehman. Lehman, at least for sailing. Because it's a whole book about how, you know, like what attributes kids take on. It's something to that. He's the best seller. Yeah. That's wild. But it's a blessing that Caleb and Griffin or so are and we're so sweet and calm and good to their little brothers. Because we've seen differently. Yeah. We're the oldest. So Kevin and brother, listen to this. We need to have you on this show. Never have I ever wished to be single for one day. Just one day. Three, two, one. I have. Oh, you've never just the dudes, just the guys. No, because I can, I feel like I can, if I'm like, I need a little space. I feel like I in a relationship married, I can be like, I can say that and I can have that space. Yeah. It's not like I need to be single to get that. Exactly. I agree. I like the security of having you. Oh, me too, of course. But it's a break. It's about the idea. It's about the thought. I'm not saying that we actually want you've never thought of something stupid before. And you did it like, never have I ever wished to be single for it. Wished. Yeah, wished. It's a thought. It's literally a thought. It's a fleeting thought. Remember how we talked to Dr. Arthur. Hey, your wishes could come true. This is a neural emotions. Our emotions are liars. They can be liars. They're not always lying to us, but they're supposed to keep us safe. Yeah. So if marriage is really hard, sometimes your brain will be like, Oh, man, I wish I'd be single for a day and just like, what? And then like, you know, you got to like, you should prefront the court. I think it's the ADHD that Matt and I both have. We think we want something. We don't blame everything on that. Yeah, but it's true. So the movie, the part of the notebook helps me to kind of reflect on my own. Yeah. And it's like, it's really you kind of hit. It's like matting up the movie. Yeah. I don't watch it. It kind of makes me a coffee when you say this, but you're like, oh, I'd rather be with, I'd rather be with your mom than anybody else. I either fight with your mom, then sleep with another woman. Yeah. You've said that. That's from the movie, right? Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. The guy in the movie says that. Yeah. Yeah. Gosling. Is that his name? Yeah. Ryan Gosling. Yeah. I just watched the movie with Tim yesterday on the plane. He's totally different. Fall guy. It's actually really good. I need to finish the movie. It's about his, he's like a stunt performer. And then it's like a little romcom, like Roman. I don't know why I've seen that movie. I want to watch. I need to finish it. When I came down, you were watching a romcom by yourself. I thought it was a stunt man movie. And apparently, I got tricked to the watching romcom. Okay. Never have I ever seriously considered divorce. Holy crap. We already talked about this. We have. I guess some of these are throwbacks. Some of these are coming back. I think we all said these questions that came in from the field recently. The uh, some of these are some of these are throwbacks. We didn't feel research. Yes. Some of these are throwbacks. Some of these are our bringbacks. All right. I think is that one. Maybe your answers changed. Yeah. Maybe your answers. Your seasons, right? Never have I ever thought about getting a divorce. Three, two, one. I have, we've, we, that is not what you read the first time. No, it's, we're changed. I change it. Oh, okay. Because you said seriously. Yeah. Everyone said I changed it up. I changed it up. I mean, like for one minute. Yeah. Just one minute. I mean, I'm saying not, not even a day. I only thought of one second. So the fact you said minute is kind of the most seriously I thought about it was before we got married. No way. That's not to force them. But I thought about. Oh, it's before we got married. I think it always have doubts when you're like when we were engaged. I thought about leaving you. Oh, yeah. Oh, that's right. I knew that. Yeah. I was at the altar. And I was like, oh my gosh. My buddies were like, come on, John. You can run now. You wouldn't even look at me at the altar. No, you wouldn't even look. John wanted to look at you. No, he's afraid he'd start sobbing. Oh, my way. I'm such a softie. Yeah. I just can't hold my motions. That's something I did not inherit from you. I'm like, I have like no motion like mom. It's been rare. Like I finally You have me on anti-depressants though. I was like, whoa, I literally have none emotions at all. But now that I'm off of those, it's kind of nice to I cried the other day. Really? I cried. Yeah. We signed a report for pre-K. I teared up. I think about Griffin going to pre-K. I teared up, watching movie up. I said so much fun with your boys this week. Yeah, there's so much fun. Yeah, Yeah, my parents have been in town this week. We are out of town.
for an interview with a special guest on the show on our podcast. - And a marriage conference. So thank you guys for watching our kids while we were gone. - You're so blessed. - Yeah, so I had to take a shower. Theresa was doing something with her curling hour. So I put something on TV for the boys. And it came out and Griffin had his arm around. His little brother is so cute. I sent a picture to. - They're best buddies. - He's awesome. - So cute. - That's really sweet. - They're so lucky that they get along together so well. - That was so fun to see that. - Never have I ever sexed it. So that's where you send like a spicy photo over the text messages. - Okay. - Three, two, one. - I have. - You guys have never done this. - No, no, no. - I know for a second. - I think you two are both. - Yes, there we are. - I guess we're both. - We're both. - I'm too scared. - I think that's what it is. - No, I wouldn't know. - Yeah. - No. - I don't want that on the internet. - I don't need that. (laughing) - Someone might throw up. - I think that's what that is. - Maybe I was younger, but no. - Yeah, I know. (laughing) - Even when we were younger, people had phones, but we were like, oh no way. What about a Polaroid? - Oh, a Polaroid, yeah. You guys have never taken, you've never taken like an artistic photo of that with this close off? - No. - No, thank you. - I have not. - I'm even mad. This doesn't necessarily mean photo. - Oh, yeah. Oh, wait, yeah. Oh, okay, be gentle and spicy. - Yeah, that's what I'm saying. Like, why are you worried? - Just like spamming eggplant emojis, you know? Like, you guys even know what that is. - No, what is eggplant? - People, you don't like an eggplant looks like the male privates. - Okay. - Oh. - But that's not what necessarily. - I can't believe I just explained that. - Oh, like a peach. - Stop. - The peach is the butt. - Yeah. - The eggplant is the-- - Cherry's are. - For the boobs, yeah. - Okay, so wait a minute. - So I've said a test message. - After a clarification of what this is. - I think we said spicy things, but-- - Yeah, you've got a long hair, but I've said spicy things. - In cod needo, we don't like say it. - Yeah. - Even taste in verbal spicy things. - I said Abby, I text her DTF all the time. (everyone laughs) - Oh, my gosh. - Do you know what, mom's phone comes out when I send her a text or calls? - What is it? - It says stud. - Oh, that's right. - She doesn't change it. - She said that, she said that on her phone. - Yeah, she said that on her phone. - She said that in there. - Really? - Yeah, one of her friends said, oh my gosh, somebody named stud has sent you a text. That's my husband. - No, dad's name on your phone has been hot stud for years. - Just stud. - I don't think-- - I don't think-- - No, it was hot stud when I was like a six-year-old, but I got an older stud just then. (everyone laughs) - Had to take the hot off. - Yeah, just hot. - Abby's pretty little lady. And then my phone knows that she's my wife, so I'll be like, call wife. And I'll be like, calling pretty little lady with her shaped emoji. - Oh, that's cute. - Cute. - Yeah, what am I in yours? - Theresa. (everyone laughs) - Josh has, there is something kind of funny. What's Josh have? - Tisa. - I think it's Tisa, T-S-A. - Yeah, that's not very funny. - Oh, Tisa. (everyone laughs) - Okay, never have I ever invented about my partner to someone in this family. I think this might have happened to me today. (everyone laughs) It's called therapy. - Okay, three, two, one. I have, I have. - I'm sure I have. - I think we've all done that. - I think your parents are probably the safest people I can vent to about you, honestly. - They know, they know, and I also know that they're always gonna be on your team, so it's like a safe people. - No, Abby wanted me to play this prank. - Oh, are you mom where I called you up? - You put it on me all the time, didn't you? - Can I explain it to her now? - Yeah, so the prank is he would call you and start complaining about me. - Abby's been so lazy recently. - Oh my, I would not go along with that. - No, I don't think you would. - But this husband did it to his mom. - And she's like, I think you need a reality check. - She was like, she went off on her, oh my God. - There's so funny. Yeah, so we should have done that to my mom. That would have been really funny. - No, do send them to your dad. - Say what you did to me. - Oh my gosh, we tell the story of what we did in Universal. - In the amusement park. - We used to ask, so my Christmas gift to my brother and my dad's, which I need to put the TikToks out still. But I surprise them with tickets to Universal Studios. We went to the Epic Universe, the brand new park. And while we were there, we were like, what's some way we can like play a joke on mom? - Why is it always me? - Just 'cause I don't know. - She's fun. - No, it's not fun. - You're an easy target. - You have three boys. That's what's gonna happen. - And we're like, wait a minute. We could just AI a woman that's like talking to our dad. - Not a normal woman. - And make her look like kind of pretty. And then I said like, have her wearing like a low cut top. So I said, so I said. - Make it tighter. - No, make it tighter. - We need to, I'll have to send Danilo, who's editing our podcast, the image. 'Cause it looked very realistic. - It does look real. - And my mom believed it. So we convinced. - I did. I did. - About two seconds, right? - But I did believe it and I didn't think AI. - Yeah, why would you not believe that, Matt? Is that a better question? And I zoomed in. - And it looks real. - Not her, but John and Josh did not look like themselves. I was like, something is off here. I couldn't. - Some look it down my brain. - My brain couldn't figure it. - And he puts the girl's picture in there. Like, I'm looking down at her blouse. But I was looking by phone. So when he said it, it's like, look, I'm straight down her blouse. - Oh, that's funny. - Oh, here's the picture. This is so funny, you guys. - No, it's realistic. - Come on, see, on this. Okay. - I'm gonna just put it on. - Okay, I'm gonna send it over now so I don't forget. - Oh, I got it. - She did look real, but like I said-- - She looked real. It wasn't who she enough that you would think it was like. - No. - But I've seen John the side of John for 36 years. And I was like, that is not John. - This is my dad. So this is the lady right here that I texted my mom. - She looks like she could be R-A. - Yeah, and I was like, mom, do you know this woman? Like, dad's been talking to her for a little while. - And I'm like, is it the hairdresser? - And she said this lady's name. And we were like, oh, yeah, it's her. Like, I'm pretty sure that's what she said her name was. And we kept it going for like a few texts, and then we told her-- - You didn't tell me. - Who told you? - No, I told you. I told you it was a prank. - I thought dad did. - I told you it was a prank. - Yeah, all right. - I think, yeah, you told her. - I was really funny. - I'm the only one working, trying to make a living at work. - Sorry. - You four are-- - I was creating content. - I was creating content. Universal Studios. That was very hard work. - Oh my gosh. - Yeah. - Okay. - And that was my Christmas gift, right? That was it. - Oh gosh. - First thing we worked out. - I'm a Christmas gift. - We did. - Remember what it was? - I remember what it was. - It was kind of lazy. Never have I passed gas while doing it. Oh, hi. God. Why are they all sassy? I didn't come with up with these, this is MR, producer. He loves when you call her out. We're during her after. What? Before you're in the gas? I'm going to say during. I'm sure you have. Oh, I'm sure you have. Oh, not during? Yes. Not during? Not during? Under a past gas during afterwards. I think you have. You have gas all the time. You know, hold a pedal sideways. I'm not sure. I may have. I don't think I have. But I'm going to say yes. But we both have. Actually, now it's a good turn on. I don't know why it's just-- (all laughing) - John, I know you're mad. - I don't know what you're talking about. (all laughing) - We're not the same. - The brown out. - It's called brown out. - I've never heard of brown. - It's not going number two, it's just gas. - Just a little gas. - You did gas, yes, you have. - Yes, you have. - You do it every hour. What do you mean? - I would never do that, okay. - Dad, you're a liar. - Yeah, you are. - You fart so much the reason that me and Caleb fart so much is because of you. - Exactly. - Okay. - I gotta buy. - I'm gonna see you out here. - Am I on the podcast? - B-O. - I bought B-O because of you, dad. - He isn't. - Oh, Griffin was asking about that. He was asking about some time. - No, no, no, this is what happened this morning. He was like, Griffin's like, what is this? I said, it's for daddy, 'cause he tutes so much. He's like, why? I said, this will make him not, too. He says, no, I want him to do that. (all laughing) - He was like, genuinely so sad. - No, because they, when I fart, our kids - They think his whole laugh is so hard every time. - Every time. - Every time. - Every time I'm like, I go, I'm like, you're like, you're full. - I go, oh, tooty, and they go. - They just crack up. - And then they both do it now. - He tutes so much. Remember, he had to get a special seat for his car. - Gosh, that's disgusting. - Like a coal. - Yeah, we, oh yeah, change that out. - I feel you when I'm driving a car. - No, I've moved your fart pad to decide that when I'm driving a car. - I don't wanna sit on the highway. - What is it supposed to do, dissipate the smell? - It's charcoal, it's supposed to absorb the odor. - It's actually for that? - Yes. - Okay. - Yes. - It's watering a car seat. - I don't even know. - I don't even know. - There's a car seat. - Maybe this is an old person thing, so you guys might have to enlighten me. Never have I ever fallen asleep during an embassy. How is that even possible? - How do you fall asleep? - I have the words. - Yeah, afterwards of course, but like during. - I would say women. - I would say women. - Three, two, one. I've never. - I've never, I've never. - Is that a real thing? - Maybe if you're like in a nursing home. I heard nursing homes are like. - That's what we're two. - S-E's are like the power of chance. - Yeah. - Oh my god. - Damn. - But like. - Oh, you're wild. - But yeah. - I got home. - Where's home from me? - Are you weird? You are so weird. He falls asleep half of a second after. Okay, now we have, never have I ever forgotten my anniversary. Three, two, one. Never. Oh good. We're all great in here. - Yeah, but just wait till you're 23rd. - Oh yeah. - Like it's. - I can't believe you guys have married for over 30 years. - Yeah. - I love holidays, so I just, I don't think. - Something I'm gonna be better about is putting people's birthdays on my phone 'cause I never know when people's birthdays are. - Yeah, I need, you know who's the king of that is your dad. - My dad's really good at that. Yeah, why did you get so into birthdays dad? - Well, it's 'cause it's easy to put on, if you have somebody's name and information, address, all that stuff, put the birthday down and it'll remind you the birthday and you could set it up so it gives you a reminder a week before. - You're always the first one to say like, "Hey, tell your great aunt Cindy, happy birthday." - Yeah. - And Facebook too, it tells you all the different birthdays are coming up. - Yes. - You know that, Facebook tells you all the birthdays are coming up for that month. - Oh really? - Oh yeah. - I don't even know. - I don't even know. We don't use Facebook anymore, dad. - Facebook marketplace, you don't buy anything? - No, I don't. Yeah. - That's where I get on my clothes. - No, you did have your underwear. - You did, do you post on Facebook or not? - Okay, we do post on Facebook why I never go on Facebook. So it's just, we're just reposts. I can't really see the Facebook. - Yeah. - Matt's gonna build out his garage and I will send him Facebook marketing information. - Never have I ever found what my significant other's friends attractive. So like, it's your spouse's, a friend of your spouse. You've never found a friend of your spouse attractive. Three, two, one. - Yeah, I'm alive. - Never, you've never. - I have the hottest of them all. - Come on. - Wow. - I'm actually so, I'm actually so serious about that. - There's so much better looking at you. - I'm so serious about that. - I can name you five guys right now, better looking at me right now. You ready? - We're Theresa put down. - Okay. - I'm your friends. - I'm your friends. - Oh, I was gonna say celebrities. - Yeah, I was gonna say-- - I was gonna say friends. - I was gonna say Michael B. Jordan. - It's friends. Jordan. - Are your friends who Michael B. Jordan? - Chris Hemsworth. - Never seen you hang out with him. - Who played Troy, who played Troy, me and me again? - My answer may be different if that was the case. - Okay. - If I was friends with Michael B. Jordan though, you would say-- - No, I promise you I've never been attracted to you. - You'd be tempted if my friend was Michael B. Jordan. - This is not the question. - Okay, fine. - I would be offended if you said never with my friends. - Oh my god. - My friends are very attractive. - If I said it, I found none of your friends attractive. You'd be offended. - Yes. - They're all so good looking. - Literally, I have some friends that are like single. And I'm like, say right now that they're hot. And he's like, I don't know. - And it actually bothers me, because I'm like, this is something that we can agree on. - Especially the single one, if someone's married, you usually don't, like, care if I say their terms or not, but if someone that's single, it makes you mad that they're sick. - Yeah, I'm like, just admit, they should not be single. They are a catch. - Yeah. - And then you're like, I'm like, I'm like, I'm like, you're too long. - I never seen you do that. - Well, that's probably good, I guess. - No, because I think you're lying to me. - Because I'm like, they are so. - No, I know, no. - You should get a mile long of my friends. - We got friends. - Are you thinking of specific friends you can don't name them? - No. - No, none of your friends now. - I just like to have my conversations Abby about attractive people, because then that makes me feel like I'm not crazy. I'm like, we all know that that person was like a good-looking person, right? - I think it's crazy if you can't admit that other people are good-looking. - Yeah. - But I'm being honest when I say that I've never been attracted to your friends. - Well, I'm offended. I'm mad. - None of his roommates. - You know, you're not attracted to my groomsman, Garrett and Brendan. How dare you? - I love your groomsman, Garrett and Brendan. I appreciate Garrett and Brendan even more, because they said recently that you mega scored with me. - I did. - And I was like, thank you guys. - They said that. - Garrett and Brendan said that. Okay, good. That's good. I've had so many people that are like, Matt, just so you know, you really got lucky. So don't ever do anything stupid. - That's so nice. - Ever have I ever pretended I didn't see someone so I wouldn't have had to talk to them? Oh, that's a good one. Three, two, one. I have. - I hate that I've done that, too. - Matt, you never do that though. - I'm usually the person that wants to go say hi to them, but every once in a while, they'll be somebody that I'm just like, "Oh, god, I can't see you right now. I don't know why." - I'm mostly thinking of like if you have just like spent a long time talking to someone and then you walk away and then you cut and you see them again, you're like, "I can't reopen this." - Yeah. - And so then I just pretend not to see them the second time. - It's weird. - Or like I've been a store and I'm in a hurry. Like I'm late for something else. I'm kind of a time Nazi. I mean, I just think it's respectful. So anyway, I know that person's going to talk forever. So I'm just like, "Oh my gosh, I'm going to go down this aisle because I know they're like a 20-minute talker. It would be rude just to go, "Hi, bye." You know, so. - If I saw someone in Arizona, I would almost certainly say hi just because it happened so infrequently. - If it was in Quincy, I would have maybe, maybe not said high a couple times. - This one's pretty good, this is-- - I don't know, I don't know, I don't know. You also are one to always say something to those. - I usually say high, but like Trisha said-- - Like one person, I don't know. - Sometimes you see somebody and it's like, oh my gosh, I don't know how to say it. - 10 minutes to talk to them, I gotta go. - And it would be rude to be a five second thing. And red'd be better. - I guess they're both so chatty to that. - When you guys are on a walk and you see a random person, do you go, hello, how's it going? Do you do what you love to those? - He's me, okay. - He stops to talk to everybody. I'm like, we're on a walk. I say, hi, good to see you and keep going. - I'm literally training my brain right now, just to go, hi, when I'm like running, sometimes I try to like, say a full sentence, I'm like, what am I doing right now? I'm running, I'm running. - I know we're trying to get this minimum exercise. - There's a guy in our neighborhood that when I go on walks, I always see him and he's usually eating a popsicle. Just by himself. - Well that's awesome. - Wait, really? - I love it. - That's so sweet. - I'm like, that's just self-care right there. - We're gonna start doing that. - Have I ever stalk someone on social media so hard? I almost liked something of theirs. Three, two, one, I have. - Oh, you guys have never done that? - I think that's a young person thing. - You guys have never gone on someone's social media? - Like I stalk someone, drive. - Wait, what do you mean? - See, I think it's-- - You stalk someone, drive. - Look where we were married. - Wait, what is that? What do you-- - I mean, like, go, you know, driving. - Are you serious? - You stalk someone, drive. - She's going ahead with the question. - Wait, no. - I got it, no boy. - No, we're stopping right here. Wait, we're letting Teresa talk. She's back her soul. - No, no, no, no, no. - Wait, no, no. - I was crazy. - I was crazy. - I don't know if it's your girlfriend. She's so deep in that hole. - I wanna know who this was. - You're a ladder boy. - It was the-- - It was the-- - The Christmas ornament person. - Oh my gosh. 'Cause you broke up and you wanted to see what they're up to. Oh my gosh, that's so funny. - Oh my gosh. - How many times? - Just once. - Oh my gosh. - Oh my gosh. - I was woo! - Well, that is like, no, that's that thing, but like with X's mom, like people will stalk and like really see. - No, one time. I'm not that crazy. - I've kind of been curious of an old girl friend that what she's doing, but I don't want to pull from that care. - I think you like, I'd like with you sitting there just to know if they're married, if they have kids. I mean, you know what I mean. - I'd be fine with that. - I'm not-- - I think one, like-- - I'm not gonna give his ornament back. (all laughing) - We need to put that ornament up in this studio. - I think I got rid of it. - We should bring it. - That would be really fun. - I can't think of anyone participating in it. - We put the ornament up. - No, I-- - I'm gonna put it on mine. - Yeah, I'm gonna put it on mine. (all laughing) - Yeah, bring it up in here. - Yeah, no, no. - What if we get it like replicated? So we can just have it like come bring the tree. - I'm sorry, that's so bad. - We should have our video of our engagement turn it to some type of-- - Yes. - Like a digital thing and send it to you. - And you can have, like what's creepy now? You guys is like with AI. You could probably do so much. You could probably-- - And make it show-- - Or you could-- - Make it look really--
You could also make it show, you could have it like add a bat like a backtrack and do that and you could be like add b-roll So it could be like it make a B-roll that looks like it was made from that time period and have like shot that would be great Okay, that's our professional shots of the shirt or whatever make it looks better. Yeah, no you guys looked great now You still do look amazing, but looking at old photos when you like yeah, you guys look so much better I'm saying Never have I ever stalked an X online. Okay, that's interesting Now that I feel like that's the lame question though because we don't have like we would be the ones to do that Yeah, I guess I guess three to one cheating cuz we don't have x'es Just looked at I guess you could say I looked at it. I get Facebook because you've went on looked at an X's Facebook I never with this Facebook Yeah, it's like profile it's like a profile picture or yeah, older. She's a hairdresser. I have done it for people I went on dates with I still do with you still do I'm so curious wait Yeah, no we both that we've done that in front of each other Like what's that person up to yeah check him out? Yeah, yeah, especially I think it's funny because Abby's like I never dated anybody else And then I come to find out I'm like you guys boomed on the couch and you said you never dated like I didn't know that was a That Literally on who's not he was like what did it feel like bubbling with another guy on the sheet her another man have cuddled dad You were dating but you did that. Yeah, what's that called? Yeah, he went on dates called going on dates Like I thought that was like you're dating that dude, you know, like I've had your asses people if they dated me they would say no. Yeah These I'm so happy on the on the butt cheeks. I doubt I really highly Go into therapy for that We ran into Dad's girl for his ex. Oh, you're an hour dating. Yeah, we just been we were dating and she showed up at a party I didn't think she looked that great. I just be nice. I say well, you look great Just have some type of comment. Oh, you don't say that she was so mad at me the rest of night. Who says that that wasn't gonna call John See, but I was gonna be honest because I was thinking just the opposite I didn't think she looked she was a hairdresser. She changed her hair quite a bit in that night. I saw her hair That look good to me, and I just I'm like you just say nice seeing you not you look great. Okay, if I ever do it again How long did you date her? Off and on for about two years. Oh, yeah, that's not good. No, and I knew it was the most serious person Did she look would she actually great? No, he said no, okay. I was just so he's lying. I was trying to be friendly But I didn't know that messy. I didn't know that at the party. I'm standing there, and he's like you look great. I'm like Okay, that was what is that for me? No See Matt does that too though. He puts his foot in his mouth sometimes And it's like you know that they're like they're good. We're just dumb. I got it. I give my dad and I'm like Put it on me. I'm okay Okay, we have never have I ever googled myself three two one I have it's my worst fear, but I have yeah you haven't no Tbt. I've asked chat to you. What do you tell me about me? It actually that's so weird. It's not weird It's just telling you the things you've asked questions about so it says I like My Bible study like working out. I was like my job Googling your that's really like chat to me. T has like personal inside on you I used to look it up just out of curiosity and I would see me it was all the pictures of me being a child actor from like Being in the sound of music. Yes, there's pictures of me So if you like 10 years ago if you would have googled Matt Howard Muni or Matthew Howard Muni or Matthew Howard Matthew Howard Stages St. Louis because that was the other professional theater. Well, it was all the theaters because like we signed releases for them to put our Faces up on the theater website and then the news would cover the local professional shows So now look back and be like man, I really peaked early like really I'd be like I was so much more like Successful as a 12-year-old 3,000 I made I made $3,000. Yeah, it was a lot that wasn't actually 3,000 yes at the muni and we just put that in my savings Yes, or did okay for college. Yeah, I guess I did make that college account But then the state just look I'm not gonna get sued for saying this But then we did the smaller professional theater and in St. Louis that didn't have as much budget and then it was 300 bucks But we did like 40 shows. Oh my gosh. It was like if you're doing the map It was like 42 shows in a month. I was getting paid a penny an hour. See your shows in a month. Yes And you were driving and you drove me do it all. Yeah, how much were the tickets? There were a lot. Thank you to Oli Pop for sponsoring this portion of today's episode Matt do the honors Do I get to drink it? Yeah, sure. Oh, yeah, baby. I don't believe that." I've read Abby's private diary and you've read my private diary. We've read each others. I have no words. Private diary is. Like a journal where you like to write. A journal that I don't, but if you read it, it's not going to be found. You never read his messages? Do you mean like his text message? Yeah. Yes, but I thought you said private. Private messages. You've never read mom's journal and you know about it? Yeah. You've never done that? I'm pretty boring, I guess. Well, you're pretty much open-buck and I'm a open-buck. I guess we're holding secrets. But you see my text because they show up on my iPad. But I didn't know what private messages mean. What's private messages? Just any message that you're not a part of. Oh, I see. When you're like, when you're sending messages of your private, I'm in a group call. I'm in a group called Fospa and I'm meeting this guy Bill at Fospa and there's a bar there. And he sends a text. He goes, I said, "Hey, I'm running late, Bill. I'll be there shortly." And he goes, "Oh, okay. I'll wait for you at the bar with the girls." Well, she's at home using our computer, which gets the message. It pops up. His text. He's talking about his wife and then this girl, Danielle, who's also in the group. I'll be at the bar with the girl. Can you see the message? That's when I was working and it comes up. Did you call it that? And you're like, "What the hell?" So I come home and she goes, "Hey, I saw your text from Bill." It's like, "Bill, Bill." Yeah, she knows Bill. She knows Bill. She knows Bill. She knows Bill. She knows who the girl is. She goes, "Oh, yeah." And she pay you at the bar with the girls. Yeah, his wife and Danielle, she's one of the ladies in our executive board. And she just tees me about it. Wouldn't you think? But then I told Bill. He thought it was so funny. Yeah. That's actually really funny. Yeah. Yeah. I've read Matt's journal. He's read my journal. Yeah, we've done that. Yeah. I know everything about you. You do. You know everything about me. Well, you do. I've said you didn't want somebody. You should lock it or put it somewhere where you would want. I don't think there's anything that I'd be like, "I don't want you to read that." I warned you sometimes because I was really mad at you. I was like, "Hey, by the way, if you read this." I spread some angry journal entries. I'm like, "Hey, by the way, it's not nice." And you're like, "I want to read it." I don't know why you like reading that. It actually, it really helps me understand you. Like, I feel like reading your personal diary helps me completely understand your brain and then everything makes sense. I'm like, "Of course, you use upset." You know? Because like, if you're upset. You come out good angle. That's good. It helps me under. Yeah. Because there's all this stuff going on in here that I just don't know about. Yeah. But I don't care. When I say private, I mean, like, I didn't write it for his eyes, but it's fine if he reads it. Yeah. Never have I ever told the kids not to tell mom or dad. Three, two, one. I have. I have. See, we have little kids. Yeah. Oh, okay. What's the story? Dad's 40th surprise party. Oh, yeah. I knew you couldn't keep it in. Caleb knew. But did I still spoil it? No, you found out like a day before something, but no. Why? Also, why would you tell your five-year-old that? That's pretty. I didn't tell you. I think we were going there to decorate or. I don't know. That, you know, we did a lot of decorating. Yeah. Because like, our kids. Yeah. We've told our kids things and they just tell everybody, you know? Yeah. They don't know the concept of secret. They know. That's actually good. Yeah, it is good. Because little kids should never have secrets. Yeah. And mine was, we never. They were never did. Ask questions about things. And Matt has all kinds of questions about sex. Yeah. And all kinds of. I used to buy Christmas. I nailed you on the Easter bun. And I was like, Dad, you're a liar. Oh, you saw stuff in the. Hot in the car, right? That was Caleb. I just fit. We had a heated debate in the second grade lunch room. Matt, you might be listening about. I guess I probably shouldn't be listening to that. Yeah. This is not appropriate for children. Okay. Yeah. You're listening. But like. We were debating. Santa being real. And I was like, no. Like, guys, I'm. This is ridiculous. I'm grilling my dad tonight. It's going down. It's going down. It's going down. It's going down. And I'm going to interrogate him. That's funny. And you came clean. So I was like that. In second grade. Because then I was like, once I figured out Santa was a real gosh, they've read it. People really should not be listening to those kids. But once I figured out that Santa was not real, then I grilled you about the Easter bunny, about the tooth fairy. The tooth fairy. The tooth fairy. Is there another one? There's like. We also believed in like a second Santa. Like the same thing. Ah, exactly. Yeah. Which we said came to do our stockings one time. Yeah. I think you did that one. You were feeling like extra. Like in your mom era. And we're like, let's do stockings. Let me be so cute. Yeah. That's probably like that generation's version of Elf on the shelf with kids. Oh yeah, I opted out of Elf on the shelf. Yeah, we're not doing Elf on the shelf. It's too much. That's too much. We're not an Elf on the shelf. See, I opted to Elf on the shelf at that time. No, no, that's stupid. You're welcome to do that. It's too much. I got an Elf. And if you do that at your house, we cannot be friends. Yeah. No, I think we can just say, wow, that's so fun. They have an Elf at their house. No, we can't be friends with people. No, I don't think it needs to be advice to things. Like, okay, it does make your life easier, probably. I need all my friends to collectively agree that next year, no, we're on the shelf. No, Elf. Okay. Never have I ever made up a rule for my kids on the spot. Oh, yeah. Oh, for sure. I have. I have. I don't remember. Neural. What did they do? I'll say that. Neural. You can just tell that sometimes it's like, he knows he needs to step in and say something. But like, I get this way too. You just like, it's like, but why? Why? But why? And somehow, like, we don't do that. And then he'll just like make something up. And we try to have. I'm not creative with this. No, we try to abide by the rule of never lying to our kids. No, I don't lie to them. But I'm like, why? But sometimes you just-- Oh, I love this because you used to ask me why about every thing. No, no, but like, okay, everything. Seriously, it's with Griffin right now. It's like, why? Why? Why? Because it says stop. But like, but why? Because like, when something says stop, you have to listen. Yes. And actually stop. He said, but why? And it's like, well, it's because we're on a road and we have to let people go. And he'll just keep asking questions over. No, but my favorite is your aunt telling them things. Like, 20-year-old, I'm not kidding. And we're just kidding. You don't remember you did this. So I think I literally need to just, well, he can't read right now. I also don't want to say because I said so. No, but when you're about to lose it. I've never said-- Oh, I did. I've never done that. I know you. No, he told-- After three when my favorite is Matt trying to tell Griffin that he can't-- Griffin can't smack me on the plate. Oh, yeah. I said, only Daddy's can do that. That's only for me to do. And then he's like, but why? And I'm like-- Oh, because he's my wife. That's cute. And when you're married, and when you have a wife, you can smack her on the butt, too. That's cute. Only Daddy's can smack my smack mommy's butt. But that's just a recent rule that we started. Yeah. No, that-- That was funny. That's funny. You were smacking your butt? Yes. Yeah, both of them. In public. That's, yeah. Everywhere. Sometimes, yeah. Sometimes we really cross the line. It's not like I said. Oh, my God. What did you say? Sometimes I was really crossing the line. Sometimes it was really cross the line. I did not say because I said so, like, first off. It's after, like, 20 times. And I was going to explode. So it was very good to say that. If you guys know what my mom was like when I was a kid, just watch. You look at, like, trudgeable from Matilda. What the hell is that? Matilda. We would've had to watch it. I think you would scar them for a life though right now. No, I think you can't show that. Like, there's certain parts of movies when you're a kid. No, the-- It's not good. It's scary. It's scary. Yeah. But I watched it all the time. I really would. Okay. Never have I ever secretly enjoyed embarrassing my child in public. Why would you embarrass your child in public? That's so dark. I've never. Three, two, one. That's so much. That's sick. I would never. I actually think about this a lot though. I think we can unintentionally do that. Give me like an example. I think people do this with their toddlers when they yell at their kids in public. Okay. Like, or publicly punish them. Oh, like yelling at the most. I think some moms do that. I think some moms. I hate when moms do that. Really, I told Matt this. I think some moms of toddlers really want other parents to hear them parenting. Yeah. So they feel like they're doing a good job. Yeah. And so they're like, we do not do-- And then they're really loud in public about it. Yeah. And I think that embarrasses their children. Yeah, I hate that. And that's not a good form of education. That makes me like want to get in a fist fight with those people. Like, I'm just like, why are you doing that? Why are you-- yeah, why are you-- Yeah. It's like, do you even like being a parent? Like, I don't know. No, it happens all the time. I know. But I feel like, oh, that dude that did that in the airport too. I wanted to stop that. Maybe so, because her face was just so-- She felt cute. Yeah, she's just yelling at your-- And that girl was so little, so cute. Her cheeks were so red. She wasn't actually so little. She was like, A, and so then I'm like-- But like, it happens all the time too, even in Disney World, which I'm like, why are you doing this in-- Rewinding the most fun day for your kids. Yeah. Wow. Way to go magical place on earth. I was trying to think it's funny to say that. I know, but I also think kids really want to behave if they have a good relationship with you. Yeah. And so like, embarrassing them is just like that's like putting you completely on the opposite team. Yeah. And this-- I'll never forget this. Certain things, I don't know why I can't forget. But you had just started at one of the medical companies. I'm not going to say which one. But we walked in in Springfield, Illinois, and this one man came to meet you, and he had his three sons, which we didn't know we were going to have three sons. But he's like, this is the-- I don't know if this is-- He literally said, this is my spark.
When Billy this is my athletic one Johnny and I'm like I'm thinking my creative one. I'm like you are weird What are you doing you are labeling don't label your kids right to us telling us that and that bothered me for this day How often does he see that to his kids? Yeah, because if he was telling these strangers He didn't even know we didn't even have kids yet. I was like this is wrong That's what they're gonna think of themselves. That's what she labeled them as dad always called me the ballet ones So I thought I had to do ballet, you know, that's why I didn't call it Twinkle toes. He called you a twinkle. Hey twinkle toe and get over here Did you actually no? No, I didn't have your funny. No, I didn't like theater I was like always the one token straight dude in the shows though I remember that like a conversation and there was more than one I know but like they're I remember the conversations that with dad We're like dad literally like nothing wrong with this But he was just like out of curiosity when he's worried like wanting to know I'd be like yeah So like do you think you like you think you like guys or girls or what and I'm like I like girls dad like I don't know I You know dads.
