NBA Preview Part 2: Most Interesting Teams Draft, Plus Finals and Awards Picks with Sam Vecenie

The podcast presents a comprehensive NBA season preview, analyzing 10 teams through a mix of projected win totals, roster dynamics, and key player performance. Houston is seen as a top-tier regular-season team due to Fred VanVleet’s leadership and improved spacing, though playoff depth remains uncertain. Denver’s reliance on Jayson Tatum and defensive frailties without him raises serious concerns, leading to a low playoff ceiling. Golden State’s future hinges on Jayson Tatum’s recovery and potential trade for a strong center, with hope for a breakout season despite age-related doubts. Memphis is highlighted as a deep, resilient team with a strong frontcourt and balanced roster, potentially challenging in the West. Chicago’s rise is attributed to Caleb Wilson’s energy and growth, with strong preseason indicators of potential. Charlotte, despite recent wins, is projected to struggle past the play-in, with injuries and depth issues limiting playoff chances. The analysis blends statistical insights with narrative storytelling, emphasizing team chemistry, player health, and strategic roster decisions. While some picks are optimistic, others reflect caution due to injuries, inconsistent performance, or organizational instability. Overall, the preview underscores how roster decisions, player development, and defensive structure shape team outcomes in the upcoming season.

Part two of our NBA season preview with San Bacini. All right, running through it, we're picking teams here. I can imagine who listens to part two and not part one, but we'll just do it because that's what we're taught as kids. We're basically drafting teams based on how interested we are in who they will be the season, giving out a floor, giving out a ceiling, and then kind of the storylines wrapped around it. And I'm going with Houston, still on the board with 16 teams to go here. And it's pretty simple for me because if I want to get real mad about them, I can't and go, "Hey, what is a man going to be? What is Shengun, the lack of spacing for this team, e-mail getting pissed at all of his guys all the time?" Which is something I admire and then other times I'm like, "Hey, maybe you could take it easy on these dudes tonight." But Fred Van Vlie to the rescue, I'd argue that based on the way this roster is constructed without him, he was maybe the most missed player of anyone that went down to injury. And I know it's like simple to say, well, dude, he's not as good as like Luka missing time or all this other stuff. Yes, you've got me there. But without Fred spacing, watching a man like running some sort of thing on, like, I know Durant's miserable no matter what situation he's in, I don't really blame him for being miserable on some of those possessions, although sometimes he's getting double-teamed and he's fucking it up too. But they were such a mess in that series against the Lakers and then to lose it when the Lakers have their injuries. Like, I just, I kind of can't wait to see what it looks like now with Fred there and just being an adult on these possessions. And I can't, like, I think it makes a man's life easier. It clearly makes Durant's life easier. And I think Reed Shepard getting to kind of like hybrid this on-ball, off-ball stuff with him. There's still some clonkiness to this team, all right? Like, I don't think Eason's really a space there. I think Jabari's kind of a coin toss guy. I think space, but at least there's a chance at real spacing because without Van Vley, this team is too clogged up. Well, I think this is going to be an awesome regular season team. I'll say that for sure. Like, I think they were one of the easier win totals that I thought would go over this year, because they're a ton of depth. I have the ceiling as second round. I have the floor as first round. Like, I think they make the playoffs pretty easily. Honestly, last year with Fred Van Vley, 24th or without Fred Van Vley, that is 24th in turnover rate in the NBA, the two years with Fred, sixth in turnover rate, fifth in turnover rate, 2023 without Fred 29th in turnover rate. So it's really kind of simple. He organizes things, makes it way easier. The way it bears out in late game situations, I think, is really critical because it just makes Kevin Durant's life so much easier. Like you said, he struggles with doubles. It's like the one thing that Durant can annoy me about him. I think he is awesome on the court. I am a huge like Kevin Durant stand basically, but he struggles with the old doubles, a decent amount of the time in terms of his vision, in terms of passing out of them. It's the way that you can fluster him and frustrate him. Really excited to watch the Shane Goon Adams pairing to see how often they go to that, because that was just absolutely bludgeoning teams in 2025. Like, they would get like 50% of their misses and just were really difficult to deal with from a possession basis. Plus, the men Thompson crashing all the time with those guys. The key for them is, I think they're going to be great in the regular season. I just don't know that I see this being a great playoff team at the end of the day. Yeah, I mean, I'm looking at Durant's numbers. Like every single one of them is great. 94th percentile based on synergy spot up numbers. 84th percentile on ISOs, which is usually him just getting into his pull up because nobody can ever do anything with it. Men not as good on the spot up, 8th percentile. That's a little on the lower range, but at least on the van delete like Durant side of things, a men cutting, they should be less traffic because, I don't blame them for trying to figure out if he was going to be able to initiate some of this stuff. And I think the pick and roll ball handler numbers for him were better than I thought. He was like rated out above average good, which is a little bit more promising, but it's just a nice study. He's not going to be tasked with these stuff because he's just not there for a team that is hoping with the Durant acquisition to be like figuring it out every year on top of everything else. All right, your board. Okay, I will take, let's see who's next. I will go with Denver here because this is just a weird team in situation right now. Yoke has been clear that he's going to resign. He said that at press conference, I take him at his word that he's just signing there, even though he can be a free agent at the end of the year. Well, it makes sense financially. It's one of those deals to remind everybody. It's like him saying, it was just way, like there's every dollar amount from to handle it this way, even if it's not, it could be a little less. Is there any exit here? Could there be anything that happens this year that you would think Yoke would go, I don't know, maybe this isn't going to work out? I mean, if they want 40 games, like, I don't know, I think they won't win 40 games. I think that he's too good for them to win 40 games. But I don't, I think that he's just been so clear that he's saying that I just take him at his word. And that's fine to me. Regardless of ceiling, I guess is probably the second round. I don't think that they can beat either of these other two teams right now. And the floor to me is the first round exit. Maybe they end up at the play in, but probably not, because again, I think Yoke is way too good that they just end up making the playoffs. It's just, can they survive in any way, shape or form when he is off of the court? You bring in De Marta Rosen to try to make the offense work. But how do you make this defense work at all? Is my question? Because when Yoke catches off of the court, you're relying on like Marvin Bagley and De Marta Rosen, two guys that are among the worst defenders for their position in the league. And what are you going to try to stagger Aaron Gordon with those guys? Maybe that's an interesting idea. But if you do that, and then you're playing Ty's Jones, who's really small as well, well, what happens is the starting lineup. You get less Aaron Gordon with the starting lineup. You're staggering him away from the starters. And it's Jamal Murray, Christian Brown, Cam Johnson, Yokech and a fourth guy out there or a fifth guy out there rather. That feels like it's going to be really difficult to manage. So I just don't know that they have enough defensive infrastructure to make this work. And I feel like the moves they made this summer actually made it harder to have a defensive infrastructure that works off of the bench. Yeah, when they won the title, they were 15th in defense. So you're like, okay, well, you know, you don't have to mean it's weird because it's a title team that was a one seed that was the one seed with 53 wins. That is like a very, very low number, although I think I remember not all that long ago. There was like a 51 win one seed. I got double check that. Then they improved in 24. There were eighth and defense. And since that point, it's fallen off a cliff. They're bottom third defensively here. And it's the Gordon issues. It's the stuff in the back core. I can't imagine that Cam Johnson is going to have another season that's as disappointing where it just felt like it was like, man, you were supposed to be the guy that like fit in seamlessly because you weren't the coin toss experience with Michael Porter Jr. Can I just like point out one thing on Cam Johnson? So Cam Johnson started the year dreadfully. He shot like 20% from three in his first 11 games. After those first 11 games, you know, Cam Johnson shot from three. I'll guess 40%. He shot 47% from three. It was like a scene. He would like look, there were limitations in terms of what he could do in terms of creation and things like that. But after I think that he got a bad rap for the first 11 games and because of what they traded to get him was Porter and the pick. Yeah. I would offer up that there were some real like alarming playoff moments from him where it looked like a very uncomfortable guy. But I'm glad you brought that up because it's like you should be so thrilled that, you know, I felt like if they're off a Porter Jr. You know, and then they have to attach the pick on top of everything else. It's going to be who knows, you know, it could be a valuable pick or whatever, but it's so far out. You're right. The first impression part of that being like, now he's going to miss shots, but I he looked like, I hate when I see it and not I don't I feel like it's hard to explain sometimes with certain players. And I'm like, okay, that's a guy that doesn't even want to bring the ball up over half for it. Well, in he's really skinny and he's going to miss 25 games a year is due to soft tissue injuries. Unfortunately, it's just the MO of his career. And it's, you know, just the fact that, you know, you're talking about Michael Porter Jr. and playing time and Michael Porter Jr. as long as he's not suffering a significant injury that holds him out like the back injury. And what was that his third season? Maybe a, maybe a second could have been his third can't remember. He generally plays like 70 games in a year. Whereas Cam Johnson, it's 54 games, 57 games, 58 games, 42 games. He's never played more than 66 games in a season. Marvin Bagley's played in two career playoff games. He's your back. That's going to go well. Okay. I'll just do a little one on Golden State. It kind of makes me sad. I think the ceiling's the first round exit. I think the injuries floor, everything north of Sacramento's in play with this one. Look, Curry played 43 games last year. They were also trying to get to pick. So that probably plays into it. I feel like Curry gets talked about. It's like, I'll remember when and you're like, well, dude, you know, like when was the last playoff moment? Well, you had 30 and 36 in games one and three against Houston. That was in 25. Yeah. You know, so it's like not that long ago. And if it doesn't get heard against Minnesota, you know, who knows? Who knows what happens in that series? Because it was so much fun again. He was ninth in MVP voting two years ago. And yeah, he's 38. But like, I just don't want, I want another step moment. Okay. I just, I'm selfish. I want another step moment. I don't know if the storyline is anything other than is there a big in-season swing? And sure, it could get in the yaks out. Like, what if this guy's actually just nasty in the perfect fit because he's so old and because he's he dream on will be able to actually play with him. You know, like dream on is going to figure it out. I trust that part of it. Even if there's parts of his offense to kind of drive me crazy, where it looks like dream on just is not interested in never taking any shots anymore. But it might be hey, Butler comes back. Is there a move in season? Because I just can't imagine they're not going to try to take one more big swing. Even if that big swing feels like a B minus player to try to get something out of whether it's the end of this year or going into next year for stuff. The long rumor has been Trey Murphy. But I do wonder if Yaxl being there now changes that calculus because he's a perfect fit between dream on green and in theory. Christophe's porzingus. If Christophe plays, which it feels like is a question while we're recording this for what it's worth. Christophe's literally came out with a statement. The Warriors came out with a statement that he's working with doctors and experts to figure out how to be back to full health and good health ASAP. And that he says he's getting better and better. But it's going to be basically a process for porzingus, which bodes poorly in general. And you can already see like golden state media getting out the message from the team. Yeah, this is like a big trade exception, basically. That's why we did this. And it's like, well, okay, sure. I don't know that I totally buy Joe Lake of just burning $20 million to get a trade exception, but maybe I'll hear it out. Yeah, I look, if it hadn't already happened exactly like this, like, and I'm not trying to be insensitive to whatever it is the porzingus is dealing with here. But this is word for word mirroring everything they said during the last Celtic season. So, you know, to go. I feel for the guy. It's just hard, but it's on you if you're going to give him that kind of money because I knew I knew it. I'm like, he's going to get paid again by somebody because of the theory of stretch five and room protection that every team is desperately trying to figure out despite the fact that they need particularly like more than anybody because the Dremond and Jimmy Butler thing like they need porzingus. So I get why they did it from a theory perspective, but you need him to play. Given the taxpayer mid-level. But no, there was probably going to be a better market for him there. So yeah, I picked Golden State because I just, I just hope it's in play. Whatever version of it is, I just hope it's in play. And it's not stuff watching in April. And there's no chance it even playing stuff. That's all. Yeah. And I do want to call out. Yaxel looks incredible. In the preseason, he's looked incredible at Summer League, where he won MVP like he is ready to go from day one here. He is an awesome offensive player because of his cutting because of his ability to handle a little bit. He can shoot it. I loved him on defensive Michigan because of adversely was there's been a bit of a growing pain. I would say they're early on just in terms of the communication. I think the Golden State with what they do defensively can be a little bit complicated from time to time. Dremond's like constantly calling out instructions to you. There's just a bit of a learning curve there. But man, I, I think Yaxel is a hit for them. I think he's going to be really, really good. All right, you're picked. Okay. Let's go. Let's go Dallas. So the ceiling is the play in the floors that they missed the playoffs and they trade Kyrie and all this, you know, they look like a total mess offensively again, even with Dusty, who I think is a massive upgrade on Jason kid. Frankly, what if Kyrie and Cooper just awesome again, like Kyrie, since 2016, I think it is. So we're talking about almost like a 10 year run. I say almost just because he missed all like all of last season. He's averaging like 25 points per game on 49, 40, 90. Like we used to talk about 50, 40, 90 as if it was this incredible number where guys have done it once in their career. And it's like this amazing feat. Kyrie has basically done that for nine years in a row. That's impossible to me. Then you have Cooper, who all of the reports that I've seen are, oh no, like he's taken a big leap. This is going to be a different player even than what we saw as a rookie and everything I know about Cooper is that he is insane, insane worker. By the way, sneaky thing that I got told recently, apparently Cooper is like, if not a scratch golfer, he is pretty close to a scratch golfer. Just one of those human beings that is good at literally everything that he does, which those guys just tend to get better at basketball as my opinion. I know that I'm connecting golf to basketball, but one of those guys that is just going to keep getting better and better and better because he is a savant, apparently at literally every single thing he ever tries. Do I love the team around them? No. Do I love the fact that they, like, unless Sergio De La Rea is ready to go from the jump, they don't really have a secondary ball handler. I think that's frankly a real problem for them, especially if Kyrie ends up only playing 65 games, but there's a chance they might be really fun to watch if Kyrie and Cooper are just as good as we think that Kyrie and Cooper are going to be. You have any Risa Shay stock leftover? I have a little bit, like I think that the Atlanta situation just got like a little bit toxic. The problem with Risa Shay is that it's been this way even going back to France. When he's not shooting because he doesn't play with any force and can't drive an attack, it's really hard to have him out there offensively, and I think that's what happened in Atlanta last year was they just couldn't have him out there offensively because he was in the middle of one of his shooting slumps. Unfortunately, he's had more of those than you would think over the course of his career for a guy where the shooting number actually looks pretty good. It's just that he goes from 45% for a month down to 25% for a month, and it fluctuates, and when he's at 25% for a month, he can't really play him. I'm hopeful that he will be of use at least. And I hope that he can iron out the consistency. He's definitely an NBA player is what I would tell you. Like I don't think we're looking at, he's gonna be out of the league anytime soon. - I know Cooper did not light it up from three last year. I think it's worth reminding people here that at Duke, he shot 39% on three. He shot 84% from the free throw line. And I would say his sub 30%, three point shooting percentage has way more to do with shot selection and desperation. He's playing point guard. He had 452 pick and roll ball handler positions based on synergies numbers here. And actually being in the 49th percentile as a rookie playing point guard with not a great team around him and having that points per shot number is an even better sign. I thought that number was gonna be worse. And so you look at it and I've heard people talk about him going like, well, if he ever adds a three, it's like, it's probably there. He shot it well when he was before Duke. So you've got a factor in like shot selection with some of this stuff and it was fun and it was wild and it was all these things. But I'm not accepting that this guy's a bad shooter all of a sudden. It has way more to do with like, yeah, you can do whatever you want out there. And you're probably gonna take a ton of terrible ones because you have the ball on your hands the entire time, which is also weird because of the way our team is built. - I say this like sort of seriously, but not really. One of my working theories about basketball is and golf, frankly, is that all great shooters can be great golfers because of like the depth perception stuff and the way that it works. Like if you look around the league, Austin Reeves is a great golfer. Sam Marles is a great golfer. Like there are a ton of these guys, like Peyton Pretcher is apparently a really good golfer. - I see. - So guys who can shoot, the guys who can shoot tend to be really good golfers. The fact that Cooper is a great golfer may be the shots coming soon. I get that. You get to start adding that to the dry. I can't even use that. I don't want to be asking guys. - Literally, so like one of the goals here with the pod is to start interviewing players. And every single good shooter that comes on, I'm gonna be like, yeah, so you're really good at golf, right? And they're all gonna say yes. - What have hearders like, I'm a pedel guy. I don't even like golf, that's for tools. - I'm picking Boston because they're still available. And here's what, like they should have gone higher not because we know they're gonna be better than a bunch of these other teams that we picked. There's a sameness to them, which could probably be perceived as boring, but it's very clear that Missoula has hacked the regular season. This is a team that is finished in the top five on offense and defense for four straight years. All right. And when you look by the way, observe. And when you look at the bench, you're like, I mean, I was talking with somebody last night. I said, you look at Boston's depth chart. I go, am I nuts? And of course, everybody thinks I'm like this huge Celtics fan, which I don't know that anybody that really knows me is like, oh, that guy loses his mind when they lose to the Pacers. - Is there a possibility that they don't have a bad player on the roster? Like there's not a player who you're like, that guy's bad. Yeah. So there's a little bit of a Hugo like, is he gonna be good along with Pritchard, Hauser, I think has his moments. I think Jordan Walsh at least showed that he was somewhat playable here. The Mitchell Robinson thing, again, if he's healthy, this is a massive, massive upgrade. 'Cause even though the Kate is story's terrific, I think he's probably likely slotted as a backup. And, you know, the reason they brought Vouchovers to try to have this stretch five, this mysterious stretch five that I was trying to find. Paul George in that city, if it doesn't get off to a great start, is probably not going to handle that all that well. My biggest, biggest storyline. Look, I think the finals is a ceiling for them. They could get out of the East, because it'll be a full season of Tatum, and I really think he's that good. And they're that good at, you know, like, they're just really, it's just something really well-run organization. But my hesitation where my floor would be a first round loss is I was really kind of freaked out about Missoula in that six-year series. And I wonder if they have kind of hacked the regular season with the Missoula approach where he'd be like, are you guys fucking serious? Do you realize, did you just say we're top five and all of these things? I've got a championship. But is there a disconnect when it comes down to the actual playoff series and being up against the same team over and over and over again, where the math doesn't math the same way. It doesn't the regular season. - Well, and again, like I said, this is the first part of this podcast. But the biggest part of playoff basketball is being able to adjust, being able to come up with different answers to the tests that opposing teams create for you. There are other teams out there, right? Like, you're playing against competition. It's a competitive game and they're gonna present you with problems. And I think that the Celtics, even in the year where they won the title, I don't like, they came up with answers. It tended to take them like a little bit longer even to come up with answers than some other teams do in those settings, right? So I would be a little bit, I think the world of Missoula and what he's built, I think that the way that they play is exactly the way that like if I was running a team, I would want to play basketball in the regular season. They maximize possessions. They maximize three point rate. They have really exactly like you said, out-mathed everybody. I think it's harder to out-math teams in the playoffs because there's just less low-hanging fruit on a night-to-night basis than what you expect to see in a regular season. They've really just like on a money ball this roster to me though, that's the key. Like, can we make Jalen Brown in the aggregate? Is what they're trying to do. In its five, all right, instead of Nemi-Keta for 30 minutes, we're running out Nemi-Keta in Mitchell Robinson for 48 minutes, which if you look at their numbers when Keta left the court last year, they were a catastrophe, right? And they were plus 12.2 with Keta on the court, 121 offensive rating, 109 defensive rating. When he was off the court, they did 117 defensive rating and they were nine points worse for 100 possessions in total. It's a huge upgrade to now have 48 minutes of awesome center play. The way I think about it is, okay, Joellen Bede, right, with the 76ers. He's gonna play 50 games, let's call it. Even if he's healthy, he's gonna play 55 games maybe, let's say, 'cause I'm sure they'll try to take care of him. Then they don't have a great backup. Is there a chance that Boston gets better production from its center position this season, playing 48 minutes of Nemi-Keta and Mitchell Robinson, then the 76ers do from Joellen Bede, who is one of the best players in the NBA when he's healthy. I actually think that's a possibility, and that's what I mean by money-balling it, because I think that I like what they've done. - Scott Hattaburg, backup center. I'll go with the cats. - How about the ceiling? I feel stupid saying this, 'cause this is a James Arden team. - If you say NBA Finals are just gonna stop pod right now. - I think the ceiling is probably the Eastern Conference Finals. - Were you gonna say NBA Finals did I bully you out of it? - I was not, but even the Eastern Conference Finals, I feel a little bit hesitant with Hardin because I really don't trust him in the playoffs. The floor to me is that they're like a 44 win team that feels capped out and maxed out, and like it leads to real changes, organizationally I think. And the big question here is like is Peyton Watson the move that puts us all over the top? And if it's not, is that what leads to the breakup of Evan Mobley and Jared Allen to me? Because it feels like they're probably not breaking up Hardin and Mitchell, but I wonder if they would break up Allen and Mobley at a certain point if this season does not go well? - It's a fair question. I think we can stop asking if Mobley's offense is gonna take the next step. I think Peyton Watson winning player, Converse Player of the Week or, I don't know, I can't remember if it was a month or week 'cause I still was like what? And he deserved it 'cause he was terrific when your coach was out, he was on the ball, he was making shots. But then I'm like well we're all the shots coming from and it's like well you're looking at this wrong because they just want to throw this big wing out there, especially with Dean Wade's absence to try to cover up for whoever the primary target would be on the perimeter because you don't want to. to put hard on. I mean, I want to do that to Mitchell on top of everything else. Um, look, I, they were a negative 19.4 each game in those four games against the NICS. It was a humiliating conference finals experience for them. And yeah, I think the one seed is actually like the ceiling if I'm being nice, but I also would not be shocked if this team loses in the first round. And, you know, look, um, they're real close to losing in the first round last year. So, uh, my favorite number is Harden and closeout games. He had three of them. He shot seven to 27. Of course, Cleveland one, too. Yeah, but based on expected points, they should have been up to one against the NICS. That's right. How do you, how do you say that shit? I just don't understand how you can say. He actually is a really smart guy. I feel a little bit bad saying that, but like, come on, man, we can't, we can't have that in that moment. Imagine, uh, imagine being like a calves fan on the construction site the next day and the driveway and you're like sitting there, tamping down the edges. Somebody's pouring tar over the top of it. It's like, it's so disappointing. And it's like, yeah, but Murph, expected points, anyone? Oh my god. Yeah, go ahead. Okay. You're up next. Atlanta should have lasted this long because I do think it's really interesting. Here's another number from Marga's human. I think I have two of his numbers through these 30 because I, you know, he's got so many good numbers. I was like, let's just use a couple here MBA.com. The Hawks were 11 points better per 100 possessions after the All-Star boat. So they were negative 1.3 and granted, like, trade was already out of there earlier. So it's not all on trade not being there, even I, I'm trying to be fair here, trade young, but a negative 1.3 to a plus 9.7 after the All-Star break. That is the biggest post All-Star break improvement for any team in 27 years. That's a number for you. My storyline for them, because I think the ceiling is, Easter conference finals feels a little lofty. So I'll say second round and then you just put him right down as a first round exit. They should be good enough to avoid the play in. I really do think that there's a bigger picture thing here. And that's this, can Jaylen Johnson have kind of like a Scotty Barnes playoff series? And as we've already covered with Toronto, it's a Scotty Barnes elimination in the first round and we're sitting here just drooling over the guy. It was very clear for Jaylen Johnson that, you know, that was tough. That was a lot harder for him. And it's to be expected. I mean, Grini had been in some playoff series before, but that was as a very bit piece. It'd been three years. It's the first time he's ever been the guy. CG McCollum's gonna bail out of a lot of those tougher possessions there. I think the entire season was like a learning experience, but also showing us what he's capable of. And that's what I'm hoping for. I'm hoping for him looking the part, even if it doesn't necessarily mean the Hawks advance, because I was not surprised to see him just not look super comfortable. And again, they went up against the team and ended up winning the whole thing. So like, my ceiling was 48 or so wins, right? Like ballpark 48. I don't think, like, I don't think they would miss the play in by any stretch. I think I'm a little bit lower on the floor than you are because I don't, I just don't know the way that this team fits totally together is kind of my question. Like the teams figure out and look, Quinn Snyder is a stud. So like, maybe this is just Quinn Snyder is going to maximize every single thing that he gets out of this organization. And maybe I'm disappointed that they weren't able to take a bigger swing this summer on some level. I just don't know while so many teams that around them in the east are getting better, right? If you look at Indiana getting Halliburton back, you can look at, you know, what the 76ers did, you can look at what all of these teams like Orlando getting Sean Sweeney to me is a bigger swing band. You know, Atlanta picking up Lou Dorton, Aaron Wiggins from Oklahoma City. I just wonder if they did enough to maintain or if they are the team that could end up dropping a little bit in the Eastern Conference by virtue of everybody around them getting better and them not being able to like pick up the low hanging fruit quite as often is what they were able to late in the year last year. I guess I don't think they have any reason to go into coast. You know, it's primarily still a younger team, other than CJ. Yeah, you know, Boston, you could see, look, they're probably going to win a million regular season games for all the things that we already talked about. I could see New York kind of taking their time. I could see Detroit maybe taking a step back. I could see Cleveland certainly like taking their time. Maybe it takes patience a little while. I feel like Atlanta, because it's the same thing as it just was, and Jaylen Junger, like there should be a little bit more focus and hunger from them a bit. And the final thing that I'd add for them is that Kingston Fleming's being on this team is perfect because I think his maturity and the way he plays, the way he sees the game that, you know, this is a team with aspirations, and a lot of times, especially for an on ball guy, that can be a disaster because it's like, look, we can't really give you these possessions to learn on the fly. I'm not saying it's going to be awesome, but I think his demeanor is perfect the same way that a cuff being in Sacramento is perfect for him because it's like, go fuck up over there in games that don't matter and take 20 shots of the game, and you're going to score a million points. It's like personality wise, I think both of those guards in this rookie class are in perfect spots for the way they approach the game. In the crazy 17 and two run that Atlanta went on last year, I just want to list off a group of teams that they beat. Brooklyn, three times Washington twice, Portland, Milwaukee twice. Portland, uh, there's a nice win at the end of the year. Yeah, it wasn't bad. I'm killing your point. I'm making fun of this year. It's gross. No, I know. Dallas, uh, they did beat Orlando. They did beat Philadelphia in that time. I, Golden State, Memphis, Sacramento, and then they beat the Celtics late, which was good. But like what three or four of those wins are wins against teams that like weren't tanking. And I, yeah, I don't know. I just wonder if they got hit with the schedule gods late in the year and got to go on this run where they were able to build up momentum and chemistry and everything. And again, like, I, I think they're doing a great job organizationally. Like I think Ansi Sale is like terrific at this. I think that Quinn Snyder is an awesome basketball coach that probably does not get enough credit for being a very clear top 10 coach in the league to me. It's just that I worry if they actually have the talent to be able to do this night after night after night. Fair. Your point, your point. I'm going to give you that win right there. Wow. I may, I may have to lower their floor. Are you morphing into reality here? Like what's going on? Is that a new portion of the show? I don't have the hair for it. So that's a no. You're pick. Okay. I will go with Memphis. Memphis, the, yeah, the big question here is just like what is Cam Boosert, right? The ceiling, I think they can make the plan. I will just say that. I think that they are going to be an absolute bitch to play against. If Zachini plays 50 games and then you have Isaiah Stewart is your backup big and they went out and got Quentin Post who I think is maybe the best third big in the league. Plus you have Cam Boosert. You're going to have a monster front court that is going to be miserable to play against night after night. I like what they're building with Cedric Howard on the wing. I think he's terrific. I really actually kind of think their point guard play might be a little bit better than people think because Ty Jerome was awesome last season. He's an amazing regular season point guard. And also Scotty Pippin Jr. is one of the better backup point guards in the NBA. They go out and they get Jeremy Grant. Think whatever you will about Jeremy Grant in his contract. He is like at least a useful rotation NBA player who can knock down shots and space the court around these guys. They have a really deep roster loaded with guys. They probably have to get rid of somebody at some point here because they just have so many young guys that they've done an amazing job of locking in contractually. I just think that they're going to be a way tougher out on a night to night basis than what people would expect maybe. I have the ceiling as a play in. I'm with you here. This is a team that when everybody was still there and this is why Zach is so good is that there's so many other groups, especially ownership too, who we never hear about Para anymore at all after his sort of media awakening early on. I forgot. I was even still on the team. Yes, he does. But they just said screw it. This group isn't good enough and there is motivation behind it too. The main price, the job, bull shit. And then it's like, well, if we're doing one piece, then we're doing two or we're doing all three pieces of this whole thing. I think lesser run teams would go, well, wait a minute. Remember Grinton grind and how much fun it was to wave the towels and shit. Everybody loves job. We sell a million jerseys. Let's just keep doing this. I'm proud of a bunch of teams. We haven't even picked up on Charlotte yet. So we'll get to that. There's some similar All this and they've hit the reset and the thing that's so interesting about this team is I am with you By the way, I tied your own only play 15 games last year This team and it's depth Scotty Pippin I like I like Cam Spencer. I like Jalen Wells. I don't love Jeremy Grant But whatever he was part of the job deal I probably need to give up on Taylor Hendrix because if he was any good you taught what it included him in the trade GG Jackson has had some moments. I like the Quentin post signing because it's like hey, this is kind of you know not that expensive of a stretch five in the theory and You know, I wonder golden state with the persingus thing would have done that overall or they are really good on the edges with this stuff and maybe they've replaced The previous stars with the next one because camboosers the favorite for rookie the year. So you know, I've That that muddled like seven on in the west is like you know one through nine one through ten in the east There's that seven through kind of like thirteen in the west that you go You know, I don't know what I don't know what the hell is gonna help him in your hat. Yeah, but Seven and a half games until cam Spencer get someone to want to fight him this year You know how many times that guy looking the way he looks Had to at least threaten to square up with somebody. He talks so much shit. It's amazing like it's he is one of my favorite players in the NBA Just he talks an immense amount of shit and he always has going back to his days at like freaking Rutgers Let alone when he got to Yukon. It's yeah, cam Spencer is just the absolute best So I'm gonna pick Phoenix here because it's a good transition into what we just talked about because as I'm going like I can't wait to see you to on like won't Dallas be kind of fun and people are sleeping on like Memphis Just a little bit with all this stuff and then what's gonna happen with Portland and on and on and on You know like you know what Phoenix is probably gonna end up just having a more solid record than all these teams now I don't like anything that they do anymore All right But they are not terrible too many of us that do this for a living are looking at the big picture thing of Phoenix and Going what are you guys doing and then why are you doing this for like Miles Bridges after you just did a Bradley be like the fuck are you guys doing and? It's a bit like a guy in your town that has like an adjustable mortgage on his home and you go like hey Doesn't that rate go like way up after year seven or something and then he buys a boat and you're like dude Have you even looked at your paperwork on this stuff? And he just looks at you is like all I know is I got a fucking boat in my driveway buddy So let me use the mortgage comparison for ish be up by the way. That's just like top-class work Thank you. I'm glad you noticed that because I think that's what Phoenix is doing I mean Gregory had that line where they were like well, what about the unprotected pick? He's like well look We're always gonna be good So who cares and you go what wait? But if there's some team building process that the other teams are not aware of to just decide to always be good. So I There's so many moves that I hate but like what if Malwhatch is good in his second year like this team The smart thing is to go stop getting Flirty with these other like upstart and just pick them to finish ahead of the other five teams that you guys just spent all this time on Because it's probably the right move. I think it's probably right. I will say I Liked all of their offseason other than the bridges deal like the contracts. They gave out were great. They Bring back Colin Gillespie who I thought was One of the most underrated players in the NBA last year the Luke Canard deal for like six million even with a player option for next year at six million Is an awesome value contract Jordan Goodwin was really valuable as a defensive pest for them last season I loved the co-apit pick like I can go down the board and just say I To love the co-apit pick like you tell me you're 30th. All right done great It's just that the bridges deal was so batshit bonkers that it's hard for me to it's like so Michigan State Mafia for this group where you have Gregory and you have ispia and you know Jordan not's part of that group and Speaking of ought by the way like you could say like you don't like anything that they do and I don't like disagree on a big picture scale Like I think that they have some I think they often look at like small picture things at the expense of big picture it feels like but Jordan not makes all of this makes sense. I thought he was if not the best first year coach in the NBA He was I guess Mike Brown would be the first would be the best first year coach in the NBA But he's been around for a long time I mean guys that like were first year first time head coaches last year. He was awesome I love what he did structurally with them. I thought he got them to play super hard on defense They have a real character and a mentality about how they play I thought their offensive structures were really good They picked up on every single piece of low hanging fruit from like a possession perspective They forced turnovers. They didn't turn the ball over. It's fun. They max three point rate like they were Awesome under ought last year and I think he's the big thing that they've gotten right I wasn't talking about ought. I'm talking about just totally player stuff Because like look, you know, you want to talk about the intensity and that the early stuff with them Hey, everybody thinks we're gonna stink. We changed the culture. We had the big names and everything the bridge is stuff Like all right. Yeah, there's a lot of stuff that I really like about the scene. I'm looking through it I'm going. Okay. This is their eight. This is their nine. What a mallow watch is like good like could this actually be kind of nice and yet you're going But why do you keep fucking up like there has to be a moment where we go Hey, we need to just as an organization. We need to stop doing like that kind of stuff. Um, yeah, but it's kind of like Well, they're so far in it. They can just keep justifying it because it's like we could just keep doing this thing on the fly. All right, you're picked Okay, by the way on my draft board here because again like I mentioned in the first episode on a psycho that actually made a draft board for this All of my top 22 were gone We're in a we're in a real real spot where You know, we've done a nice job picking up the picking up the board here. So I will go Chicago next I'm just excited to watch Caleb Wilson is where it's at like what if Caleb Wilson is just that dude He is such a competitor. He is a dog like he is going to elevate the play every single night just through his sheer Infectious energy and desire to be great The ceiling is like 33 wins like I don't think they're going to make the play in The floor is there a bottom three team in the league the wheels can really fall off here But man, I'm just excited to watch Caleb Wilson. I've enjoyed like some of their preseason stuff The Leonard Miller experience and the preseason has been pretty fun Modus, you know, it hasn't had like an amazing preseason But I'm not that worried about it to be honest like I think that this has this has potential to at least be a fun team to watch in a similar way that they were under Billy Donovan Except now they have Caleb Wilson, which makes it way more enjoyable Yeah, and I'm telling you right now and I know you talk to more people than I do but when you're making the rounds There seems to be a bit of a like man Like I don't hear anything That even hints. It's just this kind of almost league-wide wide excitement for him Yeah, cuz like I offered up this theory. I go, you know, is he a three or is he a four or whatever or because I was talking to somebody about it I was like you remember when Aaron Gordon came in it was like always a three is a three is a three and it's like well you can Have him bring the ball up and you can pretend he's a three for a little while But he's not a three and You know to be fair to Orlando him going to Denver to play baseline four with Yo Kitch like That's a really good spot really good spot for a lot of players and he turned it into a completely different guy but I I was like is is there it's still a little claim like is there really the shot making like I don't hate the Garnet shit because it's like to me It's it's disrespectful to Garnet um But there's a there's kind of like this It's not even apprehensive. It's like this quiet kind of like boy. He looks nice I don't know if I'm getting a lot of the same stuff the teams the teams You know who didn't have top three picks Wondering man do those top three teams just like miss something here like I'll say this like I talked to all of the top three teams And they all at least considered Caleb and the other thing is that when they met with Caleb They were like man we built we believe in this like we believe in this human being in a big way It's just that we think there are more flaws to his game than What exists with the top three players, right? It's just that Man, he might fix those flaws in a hurry Ryan like he might be he might be figuring this out on the fly Like the fact that he just came into summer league and added a pull up three point jumper Which is something that like he could not do at North Carolina regularly Like that that was the scary thing to me like we're just adding these things look if you've watched their preseason games he makes so many mistakes out there. But I love that Chicago is just letting him play through the mistakes and is letting him play through the errors. And they're like, we are building him up to be the number one guy. We think he can be that. We think he can be in a lead one lead wide. We're letting him play through the mistakes. And they're going to be spectacular moments this season because they let him play through it. They're going to be some really bad ones too undeniably. But man, his ceiling is every bit as high as those other guys at the top of the straffed. I don't think it's higher because I love AJ and love cam. But like, I think that his ceiling is every bit as high as those other guys. I'm going with Charlotte. I talked about Memphis. And hey, this is what a smart team would do. They wouldn't be like, Hey, we sell a lot of jaw jerseys. And the previous ownership with the Hornets would never do this with a mellow. And I think this ownership group in this front office serves all the parent of the world because it's a team that just won 44 games. It's the most since 2016. The last playoff series was 2002. And I've already talked about the mellow stuff, shot selection, everything because if you look at the spotup numbers for the new three primary on ball guys, Miller, Kobe, Conkin, Iple, like according to Synergy, Kobe White, 85% tile on spotup, Brandon Miller, 84% tile on spotup, Kniple, 83% tile on spotup, like all these numbers are terrific. And then when you look at their ISO numbers, that's where it drops down. I think my favorite thing about Kniple is that there's just so many good decisions with him on the ball, but it's still better on the shot and then the cuts and all that kind of stuff. So yeah, they did something, most teams historically in that situation would never, ever do. The center thing is kind of funny because they've got like four different things you can run out there, especially if you want to talk about Steinbach, who we love as a rookie. Or we loved in the draft the more I started watching him. I'm like, God damn, like this guy should be talked about a little bit more honest there. The ceiling still feels like playing though. I just don't know if they're going to, I just don't know if they're going to be good enough to be a sick seed here. So I'll say, I think the floor and the ceiling are the same things for them. I don't think the floor is a ceiling, but it would, it would be devastating for them to be outside of a 10, but I don't know that they're going to get better than seven. I would predict them to be outside of the 10 is where I'm at. I would be surprised if they end up in the playoffs. So that's in the play in the play in rather. Yeah. I, I think that it was washing in ahead of him. Big year. I have Washington ahead of them. I mean, there are 10 teams ahead of them. Like just that are predicted to win 40 games throughout. So it's, it's really true. It's really hard. I think for them to be able to kind of make this work. Lamello again, we said it in the first part when we were talking about Minnesota. We'll say it again here. When Lamello was on the court, they had a 126 offensive rating. When he was off the court, they had a 114 offensive rating. Those spot up numbers that you just mentioned, he was a big reason why those spot up numbers existed and Kobe White for what it's worth, like they were pretty good with Kobe White on the court last year. It's just that I don't know that I totally buy it that he's going to be able to do that over the course of the full season, necessarily. The other thing is that they're just coming into the year, kind of banged up like Brandon Miller's playing, but Brandon Miller missed a lot of the off season. And he might take a minute to really get rolling here, I think. Look at it was the hamstring injury. Kobe White has the calf injury. I wonder if it's going to be a little bit of a slow start for them. And if that could like kind of set the tone for the season this year a little bit. Be good enough to be outside of the bottom three. Who knows, you know, reset here. Yeah, that could very well happen to. Kidding. Kidding. All right, your pick. Let's slide through these last five. Yeah. So New Orleans is my next pick. I will say the ceiling, I guess it's the play in. They're talented enough to make the plan. The floor is like 25 wins. Like they could really fall apart. But here's my biggest question. And I was like, I'm going to ask you this. Are we just like done with design Williams and all star experience at this point? Like is it just over because when I watch him in the preseason, he has like, he's skilled. Don't get me wrong. He has like none of the burst that made him so special. It feels like. Yeah, he had the best second jump I've seen from a guy his size, like maybe since partly. And I don't, I don't see that anymore. The thing is, he's still pretty good. But I just, I don't even read the stories anymore. Like, Hey, I know it's on me. I know it's on, it's like, shut the fuck up. You know, I'm sorry to make it sound like I'm not supposed to do that on the air and make it sound personal because it isn't personal. I don't know. I'm still rooting for him. Like I hope you figure out, I just can't fucking do another preseason, Zion figured it out and all this shit because I just don't care anymore. I did. They traded him two years ago. It's one of the worst run teams and all the sports. The owner goes off on the saints because she's not paying attention to the pelicans. Do Mars is fucking it up. They hire Mosley, which nobody would have hired. And, you know, like they, they fucked up the transactional stuff so much on the picks. And, you know, now it's like is Derek Queen not going to play all the time for them. And then some of the other stuff you hear that I won't share about like decisions that are on the table with them. And by the way, they tried to win as many games they could last year to avoid the embarrassment of the pick being higher because of how disastrous the queen trade was. I know that was your pick, but I had some things to say. I'm sorry. No, I love it. So here is my question to you next. Does the roster just make way more sense? No, not in terms of like wins and losses, but just in terms of this is a functional roster. Does it make way more sense if Zion is just not on the roster? The best version of Zion is like nothing back. Like very little back, right? But they don't do that. That's the thing. Like they don't really play him with the ball on his hands enough in my opinion. I like him basically is the point guard. I've been saying this since they had Stan Van Gundy figured out, like, oh shit, we can run this really fun, you know, all these fun actions where it's like, oh, J.J. Rettich is ghost screening for Zion. And, you know, we're creating all this space and empty side actions for Zion. Like they don't really do any of that shit. Like that's what's frustrating about what the situation has become with Zion. Like you could very easily do all the stuff you're in with J.J. with Trey Murphy if you want to. It wouldn't be quite as effective because he's not as quick and slippery as J.J. was, but like, it's frustrating. And now you've run him mostly who has shown no offensive creativity whatsoever in Orlando. So you know you're not getting it there now. I just wonder like, okay, if I told you this roster was the Johnson Murray, Trey Murphy, Herb Jones, Derek, Wayne, and Eve Missy. And then you have Jeremiah Fears off the bench. It makes kind of more sense, right? It's just easier. Everyone slotted into a role. Everyone understands their opportunity. Yet, Sidiq Bay was awesome last season, at least offensively. Like, I'm really struggling. And then they have Matheryn now too. And like, Matheryn's like an amazing, hey, I'm just gonna go get buckets in chaos guy. And there's definitely going to be chaos here. It just doesn't, none of what they're doing makes a whole lot of sense to me. And I just wonder if it makes way more sense of Zion is off of the roster. I said they should have traded them like three years ago. Well, I used to have gotten something for him because this is almost predictable outcome. You've been able to really count on them one out of the last four seasons. And that season was really good. I get it. But I think, I think the history there with New Orleans, I think there's a lot of like, hey, we traded Chris Paul and Chris Paul became like Hall of Famer. And then we had Anthony Davis. And then he became a star. It's like, well, yeah, no shit. The guys wanted out of there. It's not a great run organization. Like I think Griff and that crew had like a really nice stretch. That was what I thought was really frustrating about it. It's because I thought Willie Green had his moments. I thought Barrago did a good job at the end of the year last year. I know they lost eight in a row during that stretch. But I think seven of those eight teams are playoff teams that they had lost to when they were trying to win games because they didn't want the big to be higher. So just a lot about this team collectively where I'm, I'm, you know, you're kind of whole, your entire franchise has held hostage because you still are in love with this idea of this version of Zion that has not happened other than the 70 game season. And then some of the moments in the first two years there. Yeah. And you know, I mean, it doesn't seem like a bad guy. I never hear that he's a bad guy. I'm not necessarily saying that. But like, Hey, this year is going to be different. And then it isn't. And we've already spent too much time talking about the Philippines. Yeah. Real quick. Derek Queen and Zion Williamson together played 700 minutes last season. They were a minus 10 per 100 possessions in those minutes. Queen by himself. They were a minus four Zion by himself. They were a plus four. Those two players can't play together. Period. And this was very foreseeable before you drafted Derek Queen. And now they're still persisting with Zion. It just like, you know, it doesn't make any, it doesn't make any sense. You can also think this is like a regime change thing where like they just kind of want their guys in and the previous guys out. And then, I don't know, I just feel like there's, there's not because they haven't traded any of the guys out yet. Yeah, like that's what's that's what's maddening about this is that I would totally get it if that's what it was where it was like, hey, we want to bring in our own guys, but they haven't done that. We'll see, we'll see about that. Hi, who's on the board here that I want to talk about? I'll talk about the Clippers because I know there's like a lot of drama that we would think about. I don't think the players are going to care about any of this shit. I don't think they're going to care that Balmer isn't in the building. I don't think they're going to care that Lawrence Frank can't come back until right around the trade deadline. They're going to care about the fines and they're going to care about all this stuff. Garland's going to be healthy and wagler, like we're going to see. The problem is, when you look at this Clippers front line, like this is the part that sounds like I'm already making excuses, this is a wagler guy. You've got the Ingram injury who, you know, you can have him. You've got day-to-day AK Bradley Beale. It's Garland and wagler with no beale and then the front line is Rui Isaiah Jackson and Derek Jones Jr. And, you know, in theory, Lopez will provide some of that spacing. I think that career is, you know, heading into the dusky area of it. Even if wagler and garland are really good, it's going to be really hard for both of these guys. So, it might statistically not look great. It might just watch in the tape not look great. It might be unfair judging these guys, considering all the other options around them that are likely not going to be a priority for opposing defenses. Hmm. I would agree. The big thing for me is like, do they trade some of these guys? Because they could get real value for, like, Chris Dunn, they could get real value for Derek Jones Jr. They could get real value for, you know, quite Sanders. Kobe Sanders. Like, if you wanted to move him, you could. I think that he's pretty fun player, like, should probably be a piece with wagler moving forward, but I think they could get value for some of these guys and do they decide to move struse to they decide to move Rui at the deadline. Like, you know, that feels like their best play right now is to just try and accumulate as many assets as possible and then go into next season with or next off season with like real cap space and everything. Good clipper segment. It was good. Okay. Yeah. We were quick. Okay. I'm up right. Yep. I'll take Brooklyn. So. I think it's really like 33 wins. Like they could. Whoa. That somebody likes the Randall Porter pairing. This is like, do I like it? No. Day round sharp metrics, advanced numbers. This is what I said on my show. I was like, okay, is there a chance that like they're a top half of the league just front court immediately? Somebody likes a lot jump because it's Michael Porter, Jr. Julius Randall and like sharps pretty good. I was just like, wait. I agree. What? Like, they all like, again, Porter plays. That's when he's like not dealing with the serious injury. Julius Randall plays every game and think whatever. The first year of the Julius Randall experience tends to go pretty well for the teams that have Julius Randall. The back one's not good enough. Like don't get me wrong. Like Michael Brown is going to be really fun and they're going to be really positive highs with Michael Brown. He started. Huh? I'm guessing that's what's going to happen in the regular season. And then Yeager like had a great summer league. He has not been very good in the preseason. We'll see if that changes. I'm not saying you're saying the team's going to be good. I'm just saying that I think that they could be more watchable than they've been and might be more competitive than what they have been recently. Sometimes the bigs on the limited minute stuff and then the day Ron like, but there's also some other like on off thing where you're like, well, that feels a little bit more real. I've always kind of liked him like I thought he was like is a big a little bit better with the ball in his hands with the passing stuff like going back to when he was in college. And then he was just kind of in this Noah Clowny Nick Clxton log jam like it's hilarious to me that an NBA team had Noah Clowny and Nick Clxton on the same like man, you have a type. Um, yeah, right. I, uh, I think the only other interesting storyline for them is like who survives from the 25 5 is what I like to call them the 5 first rounders and 25. And right now, Dio Menn is head and shoulders above the rest of the makes sense to me also with the highest. But yeah, I have hope for him. I do. I just hope he looked good and he looked really good in summer league and I was really excited and I was like, well, what's going on here in the preseason? It feels like he's still can't really get anywhere, uh, despite the fact that he can shoot. All right, you're up. That he can shoot though, you know, like I don't know that we thought it. The shooting was going to look that good the first year. Uh, let's see, uh, I got to go Sacramento. I think the floor is the 15th seed. I think the ceiling is also the 15th seed in the West, um, yeah, I, I had the ceiling at 28 wins and I had the floor at worst in the league. So yeah. Is there a chance, Keegan figures it out again, Sabona's healthy, Levine, like the elder statesman of the crew just getting a cuff ready or Ben Simmons come back player of the year. That would be the positive spin on this group and like, Hey, I kind of liked the Andre Hunter. There's something about Nick Clifford in the draft date that I kind of remember liking. Um, precious. A chua. I still have a few shares. I think in an old bear sturns thing that I had, um, Renault, I liked, I know he dealt with the injury right now, uh, he was, he was a big combine guy for me. I was like, ooh, with a little, little spice to this guy. However, I also think there's like an a keff Levine time where it's going to be hysterical. How, how, like, they're like, what are you doing? I'm supposed to do this. I'm supposed to come down and take terrible fucking shots. Like, why are you doing that? And then I love that some places you see Ben Simmons listed at this center. So sometimes he's listed as the point guard, um, I look, I'm, I'm going to watch. I'm going to check him out a few times. I'm not going to let myself go two weeks without seeing a Sacramento Kings game. So I think great value for the 29th pick. I like it. Uh, what I will say is that the a cough, subonus pairing in ball screens is pretty fun. That's the sneaky thing about subonus, like we can all bitch about the defense as much as we want. Is it about is great of a partner as a big as you would find for a developing guard? Because of how good he is with screening and timing and DHOs and everything. So I think that that pairing could be really fun and could at least lead to some fun moments. Does that leave one team left? We've one team left. I think we fucked this up somewhere. I think we did. I must have just jumped you because I was, I was the even it too. So maybe maybe New Orleans counted as my pick. I traded it back for protected. Oh, it would be unprotected. But we're the pelicans never mind for for an unprotected final pick. That would be more pelicans. Do you want it? Well, then that means there's only one team left on the board, correct. Seruti Milwaukee, the Milwaukee Bucks. You want to talk about the Bucks or do I talk about the Bucks? You can have the Bucks. I'll have the Bucks. Great. Cool. Sealing like 33 wins, 30 wins. I don't know. Flora feels like bottom three in the league. My question is, do they start moving these guys like Turner, Hero? Is there any taker for Kuzma where they can take back like longer term salary maybe and get an asset? Because he's on an expiring deal. I really like Britain Burries. I think there's a chance Britain Burries ends up being that like fifth guy on the all rookie team. This year, with the top four picks, wouldn't blow my mind like Kalawera could be fun. The fun, the fun player here that I think could lead to them getting real asset value back or they could try and resign in the off season is Ryan Rollins. Ryan Rollins is a legitimate difference maker for somebody at like four million dollars a year, which means every team in the league can bid on him. And if somebody like Denver was to go get Ryan Rollins, they don't really even have the assets. I don't think to do it because I think he probably cost more than that first round pick. They got for Peyton Watson like he could really swing a legit title like picture if they were to move him, I think. I just wonder if they're going to try to be better than they should be because of the lack of control of their own picks, even though it's like, well, look, you don't have the control of your picks. So, restock the chest here, but maybe I think teams can have a bit of a fear of like, well, if we totally bottom out and then all of a sudden, you know, Cooper flag of 2030 or 2029 is going somewhere else that just makes us look even worse because that's what it is. They don't have, they don't have control of 27, 28s, like a two team swap where they have the worst of the three, 29s of Portland and the Dame deal and then 30s of swap of Portland, even though they have a swap of Miami and 30 as well. So they got a couple of pieces they got made a man back in this. year's draft and the Yannis trade for this. But it's it's something I think you and I would agree we both notice at times of teams or it's like, well, just get it over with and trade these guys and don't care. You don't have to troll your picks. Anyway, try to get any kind of pissed back. I think sometimes teams will go like, yeah, but if we end up like fucking losing the rights to like a real generational guy, because we totally bottom out here, although bottoming out now is different in this new world, which I'm excited about. I think so far, like, I know there'll be unintended consequences, but I think it's going to be terrific. Well, can I speak to that real quick this season too? So a weaker draft than we've seen the last could be like 10 years, could be the last few years at the very least depending on if anybody breaks out this year on the college side. Second piece of it, all of these teams, not all of them, but a good portion of these teams down the stretch that we talked about do not have access to their own pick. So Brooklyn sends their pick to Houston. Milwaukee sends their pick to New Orleans. The Clippers send their pick to Oklahoma City. New Orleans actually sends their pick to Atlanta and then Dallas, which I think could end up being not particularly good. If things don't break, right? Even though I'm excited, sends their pick to Charlotte. So there is an inordinate number of teams. And part of it is that I think that in their pre-planning for this draft, they realize the draft does not look great. So they're willing to trade more high end picks for some of these players that they acquired. I think that we're looking at a situation where all of these teams at the bottom really are not incentivized to tank at all. And I think the NBA is going to look at it as, oh, we fixed tanking. And the reality is that this is just a weird year where there's an inordinate number of teams that have not access, that do not have access to their pick. My final pick is OKC over New York. My MVP is Yokech gets one more and rookie the year. Cam Booser. If I hadn't picked a second one, it would be Caleb Olson. Can you give me a pitch for the Yokech MVP? People who are at SGA, Luca won't finish high enough in the standings. He won't finish high enough in the standings. Cade potentially. But the weird thing is that sometimes there's a look hang over if they're not as good and they get MVP to cade in a year where they're like the foreseed and not the one seed. Like I'm just trying to remind everybody of how the moat voters minds work. If Yokech is healthy for an entire season, there's no way it's not a top two or three statistical season. And I feel like he's owed one from two years ago. Not necessarily last year. I'm OK with last year. OK, I'm going to go San Antonio in the West. I'm going to go that they win the title. And I'm going to go off the board and I'm going to say Miami. Holy shit. I think Miami is going to be really good. And I think that them in a playoff series particularly is going to be really hard to deal with. Like I think they are going to be exceptionally difficult to deal with. Here's the thing. I think all of these teams in the East outside of the next on some level. And I think the NYX are the safe pick for what it's worth. Like I'm totally for it. I think that all of these teams outside the NYX are in a real. This could go a whole lot of different ways situation. But if I'm thinking about the way that the heat line up with the NYX and a playoff series. Well, OK, they can just switch everything if they want to because they can switch five if they want to with their defensive flexibility. They have the best player in that series. Apologies to Jalen Brunson but Yannis is the best player in that series. I think yeah, they're a way more difficult like towns being able to like space the court and everything. Well, that's not as easy when you have Bam at a bio like you're getting rid of all the post stuff with Bam or with towns because Bam's going to be able to match up with him at a really high level. They have Davey on Mitchell to go like bother the shit out of Brunson. If not, they have Drew Smith to go bother the shit out of Brunson. And I'm not sitting here saying Drew Smith is some fucking Brunson stopper or anything. But it's just 48 minutes of making him work basically. I think that that is actually a harder playoff series for the NYX than what people would expect. I'm going to go Miami in the finals. And then I will say MVP, Wembee. I think that if I'm having them with the title, it means Wembee is playing 65 games and they're the ones he'd probably. What other awards do we have other awards for a year? I'll go Booser, I think. I think he's going to be the most consistent night after night after night guy. He's the favorite again on all the boards. That is the Balsy San Bacini with the heat winning the East. You can check out Game Theory San Bacini three nights a week during the NBA season, correct? That's right. What's the schedule? It's going to be Sunday, Tuesday, Thursday. We have Ryan coming on next week for sure. We'll talk about that next week. Yeah, we think we have the day, but we're going to confirm. Yeah, I think it's opening night. Aren't we doing it after opening night? I think it's opening night. I wanted to give you out to potentially not do opening night, given that you're on the East Coast right now, but you know, we'll figure it out at the very least. The neutrons will be running through me while first night in the NBA. We'll be able to sleep. I'll be happy to do it. Not going to be rocking action overnight. Yeah, see you. I skipped football on Tuesday. I'm a little footballed out, unless Allen and Stafford are in a shootout. Probably I was funny because like Sunday night, it was Atlanta, Baltimore. And then it's, you know, Dodgers, Brewers with that pitching matchup in Game 1, I go, Hey, are you fucking seriously going to watch Ravens Falcons with penics against Huntly instead of these two studs on the mound? And I went, yeah, that's not really. I don't even feel American. We could call it America's past time being football, but like I didn't feel like a real citizen. If it's like, you're not going to watch Game 1 of the NLCS. So I put football on a smaller screen for that one. But we'll be ready to go Tuesday night, opening night, Game start early for that one. So we'll recap all that and some more probably seasoned thoughts. Just picked up a week from, well, not even five days from now. So thanks Sam. Football has a way of turning one game into a full week of conversation. And DraftKings keeps you close to all of it. Follow the teams you love. Keep over the biggest games and experience the excitement of football all week long. The Alliance continues. Some info for you here before we get to our pick with the gang. The most money and the highest number of bets is that Houston, Jacksonville matchup. So we get a divisional matchup there. London, Jacksonville. Still there, followed by people betting the charges and chiefs, chiefs, a very public team in this one. And then the Jets and Pats and the Pats are a very public team as well. I think the second highest total of public money on that's around 77% on some of the stuff that I'm looking at today, 77% as of right now. So look, the Colts are a public team against the Titans. No shock there minus a touchdown. And the direction I'm going to go is actually Atlanta. That line started at plus three. Atlanta at home. They've had a couple nationally televised games where you know, people probably really like them as of right now, but Caleb Williams is going to be playing in this game. It seems like he's a full go. Although that line kind of scares you a little bit. So it's Chicago minus one and a half. I have them getting 25% of the money. So that's probably the direction I'm going to go. So Rudy, tell us about the board. Hey, when you standings two in one week last week, you and I, Kyle, they're all right. We're all two and two collectively. And this is a much better start than we had last year. So you know, we're doing all right. No worries. Yep. Hang in there price of admission. All right, one of the you go first sensory. I've had some luck with the Rams the last couple weeks. I took their spread against the Eagles, which is a little bit lucky. But we hit and then the team total over hit and went over time against the bills. That was nice. I'm going just ugly here this week. Browns Ravens, the FC North, just going to go under under 42 and a half. Blomar, maybe back might not be back. I don't really particularly, I mean, obviously matters. But like, I just think these games are always going to be tight and close and it's gross in the FC North. So I like the under here. I think the Ravens probably win and probably cover, but I think it's going to be low scoring. And I like the under 42 and a half. Nothing boosts your Sunday, like root fronters, I tell you, I love it. We get a weather guy. I'm sorry. On this one. We got a once. Just, you know, I just wonder if it's worth looking at the weather here. The weather. Yeah. I'll pull it up right now. We get IT on it. Well, it's going to rain for three days. And then we're looking at Sunday, Sunday clear skies, but you know, a high of 60 degrees Celsius. So, oh, your Celsius guy, just always trying to get, you know, keep keep the mind working. It's like when I try to learn Italian and now my phone sends Italian text all the time, and I have to change it back. I don't know what one of the words is. That was a fun little phase. All right. Kyle, what do you got? I was really looking at the giants. I think it would be nice after that whole last week debacle, but I'm just going to go with the Patriots seven and a half. I don't think if they had won a bunch of games, this one would scare me a little bit, but they have it won a bunch of games. So I think I think karma says paths minus seven and a half that'll But yeah, I'm not thrilled even though it's a public plan Atlanta. I'm not thrilled with my move here I love my pick last week because I just felt like it wreaked of the NFL the Eagles feel like they have no chance in that spot Plus seven and a half Jacksonville most complete team in the NFL whatever, but it was like London first kick Nothing seems like it's gonna work out. So I felt like that's like the classic NFL It's just a it's like the cool guy pick to a Chad Milman heard that pick and went that's so cool We look at you like nice dude. Yeah nice like you're probably gonna lose again, but very cool very sharp So this doesn't feel I'm really just kind of looking at the public money on this one And I feel like even with the bears defense. I mean you want to talk about two different versions of it between the Vikings Which again a little bit easier than Jordan love being pissed off long throwing it all replace with the floor But yeah, I mean Caleb comes back and Penox also is is probably the guy who looked like he was dying at the end of that game And it's Baltimore the other night. So yeah, I'm gonna go bears minus one and a half on this one So that is your pick for the Alliance one app every sport all 50 states new draft King's customer sign up with a code of Ryan RYE and spend just five bucks and get 200 in rewards within 21 days includes all markets Let's code Ryan RYE and in partnership with draft Kings the crown is yours bet with DK sports book gambling problem call 1 800 gambler 1 800 my reset Connecticut called 888 789 777 777 or visit ccpg.org on behalf of boothill Cassinoin, Kansas Betax Pasta who may apply in Illinois 21 and over void in Canada event contract trading with draft Kings predictions Involves a risk of loss availability varies predictions offer void in New York bet to get bonus bets that expire in seven days Trade to get predictions dollars that expire in one year 50 dollars and rewards issued every seven days via click-to-claim for 21 days when non-withdrawable reward redeemable terms at dkng.co/offer limited time offer nationwide based on sports book predictions and free-to-play sports contest availability varies by state Life advice is presented by shell What if you could get more just by doing what you already do when you're a shell fuel rewards member You can get more for filling up your tank more for grabbing takeout more for satisfying your latest snack craving Your everyday is filled with more rewards more savings and more special offers and all of your saving stack so you can Add all the savings you earn on top of your everyday savings. I don't know if I want that one, but I'm just saying it's not like a it's not a non starter for me All right, this one seems stupid, but let's do it. Situation is so inconsequential yet so infuriating for both sides involved first gym stats 24 years old male 510 155 210 max bench 205 times 5 squat 290 5 times 3 deadlift my college buddy. Let's call him Ben Offered to let me sleep over at his parents apartment on Friday and Saturday night as we get up to shenanigans on Saturday and Saturday night in DC. I live in a suburb outside of DC. I asked if I'm getting a better if I have to sit on this couch She offered me the bed, but only if I pay him $5 because they'll have to wash the sheets after it doesn't have an in-unit laundry So the full cycle cost $5. I obviously objected in my eyes because I'm a house guest and have no obligation to pay for his laundry Because we're so close. We had a pretty open fire exchange over text I could not find any common ground. I even offered to split it. So $2.50 each Which I felt was generous. This might be fake What does the council think should I buck up and pay the $5 should I hold my ground on the $2 and 50 cents split? Is this the dumbest argument of all time? We're on measly $5. Yes between two close buddies who are for both fully employed What is the general rule for house guests paying for expenses incurred by them being a house guest? I included the text message because they're pretty entertaining I also like to add that he is paying no rent because it's his parent's apartment Shouldn't really be relevant. Should I brought that up in your back and forth, right? Yeah, he said it shouldn't really be relevant but mine demented way of thinking adds insult to injury I mean my question is would he accept? This payment in the form of a round of drinks during said shenanigans or does he want fucking quarters, man Like if he's like no, no, this doesn't you can't just get me while we're out I it's a principle thing if that I might actually be interested and died on that hill if that's what he wants But if you just let me give it to him, you know as part of the you know Part of the night out just bake that in. That's easy easy money So here's the context change. I'm going to this flying Oh, he should charge your phone dude Do I get a bed? You can have a bed for five bucks cuz I'm gonna have to wash the sheets Buddy, I'm a house guest There are two beds. I'll wash the sheets before I leave Mine and my mom's will it cost five bucks no in-unit we can split it Hmm, hmm emojis back-to-back. This is ass and I 250 each I'm gonna need that five or you on the couch nothing personal either 250 or we Pick finger for it have some class Kids are you with me about $2.50. It's the principal. I don't know what the principal is five dollars for a bed zero for a couch choices yours URS Bumming your parents house for no rent charge me five dollars. We're gonna bring it up I can't believe what I'm seeing and hearing that's five dollars Can be worth a thousand I don't know what happened here, but it We'll never know That five dollars can be worth a thousand moving forward. Yeah, yeah, yeah, this is the same guy who drinks chill beers Normal dude wouldn't even mention the five dollars. I'm offering to split it four dollars final offer or you're sleeping on that couch We're not bartering being adults split it. Why would I split and expense? You're incurring. I'm housing you and bringing you to a place with free beer and food because I'm a guest at your house Don't make me expose you in the GC, which I assume means group chat. Got to me in group chat. Yeah All right, so you guys are having a lot of time guys on you guys are having fun with this. You know what? Carry on neither one of you should move an inch carry on. You know, you should have charged them 19 bj's All right, maybe I Well, I've lost that shit in this email. I this is the dumbest thing I've ever heard in my life I think that's that's all we need on that one what like you There are some we should just go there's no point in breaking this down I mean like if I'm in this guy's shoes. I'm paying the five dollars and never letting here the end of it, but You know, does that feel like a win for you? I don't know Yeah, right. I mean he doesn't collect the five up front I might be thinking about just totally pissing him off and just leaving without it to see what happens then Because this is already so much in the weeds. I wonder wonder what would happen if I just didn't get him back Do you go petty boomer move and just like get a wheelbarrow full of pennies and just I don't even know how to actually I can't really do man. I don't think you do a wheelbarrow. Yeah, would it be a little aggressive maybe like maybe a sock bucket a sock would work Look Christmas decorative pale Little pennies Yeah, I mean good luck. I Don't I don't know. I mean come on all right young guy moving out to lemon 25 years old 510 185 ish Trying to reel the dad bod in with core work dumbbells running four or five times a week staying consistent as the hardest part fastest mile ever 630 been chasing that dragon since college pick up comp cam Spencer great shooter sneaky can rebounder Yeah, but if I'm the best guy on your pickup team. We probably aren't winning All right, so right after I graduated college my parents moved about an hour north out of my hometown I wasn't financially ready to move out at that time. So reluctantly went with them needs us to say at 25 I have the itch to move out Problem is I'm in roommate purgatory. I have a bit of flexibility because I work in sales But I can only move so far south as my territory only go so far south It doesn't make practical sense for any of my hometown friends to move north towards me and my college friends have moved to separate places for their jobs My long term girlfriend only just finished grad school and got into the workforce So she's still at least a year or so away from being ready to move out random roommate searches on Facebook Have only produced scams or middle-aged divorced men who I can't see myself living with at this point in my life Hey, I know a few Dude those guys are a treasure trove of stories and wisdom. I don't know man They also gonna a huge bummer, you know, it's a coin toss. You know, 24. It's like, oh, you're going out both nights. Well, hey, hey, cramps. I've discovered living on your own is incredibly expensive, but I did find a place that feels right to studio apartment, great location, 30 minutes of my friends from home, 30 minutes from my girlfriend. It's also very central to my field sales territory, which will help cut down on car mileage, driving to customers. There are a few restaurants, bars, coffee shops within walking distance as well. As the Metro North train station feels like a good spot. I can call home for a year or so north. Talk in my language, buddy. I don't know what the issue is. It sounds pretty good. The catch is, it is just italicized. Outside my price range, I'm talking a few hundred dollars monthly over my ideal budget. I could definitely survive on it, but I would have to think twice about how much golf, how much I golf, well, for damn it. How much I go out, I would run the risk of needing to dip into my savings for emergencies or any fun and prompt to events, activities, trips that may come up. I have a side hustle of performing solo acoustic covers at bars and restaurants. God, this guy's, yeah, I mean, you know, these guys, he's going to, he's living with his parents. He's got a girlfriend that he wants to marry and move in with, but he's also like playing a little American pie on the side. You know, his job is good. He's toned down the act recently because it's very tiring to perform for three hours on a Friday night after working all week. I could always start that up again to earn some extra dough, but those are not there. It could be a starving artist here. It could actually be one. Well, but he's not. He's not. I know he could be if he took this apartment though, you know, you can really get that might, might boost your music game too. All the stress that you didn't care. I don't know that 630 mile might come back or maybe he won't. Maybe he's never going to do it because he's playing gigs, paying for a studio. So those are not guaranteed jobs. It's purely based on my own willingness to go out and book the gigs myself. If they're available, the golden question is it worth it to get a place a little over budget at this point in my life. I'd love to be able to host friends go out for drinks, walk to the train station, etc. Have the freedom to do what I want. I never want to grow up and regret not taking the opportunity to live on my own and be independent. On the other hand, it feels like it's just over my budget. But I even be able to enjoy all these things. I want to experience as a young adult without worrying about being able to afford the rent and living expense. Let's say you fellas start for the long email, hoping my huskies beat Kyle's Johnnings this year. Oh, there's a little spice. Yeah, I think it'll be a split. But I mean, I think that the top. Could you just live in a shitier place? Like it sounds like this one's perfect. Can you just live in a shitier one? If it's going to be like a one year thing and you're going to regroup with your girlfriend next year, could you just, you know, find the shitier street, you know, in that town and, you know, it's not the only studio. It's the one that you think is perfect, right? I think that's I think you're probably being reasonable that there are some nicer ones you looked at. And this one is something you could you'd be happy with. But maybe go with something you could tolerate if it's just a year. And you're right. You're going to miss out on not living by yourself ever if the rest of your plan works out. This is kind of your one window that if everything is, you know, goes according to plan, you will have a roommate for the rest of your life. I go the other way. It's a year. Like, you know, if you got to dip into the savings a little bit, you're you're pretty young. You're never going to have it. You're like this likely again. If this continues on this trajectory, like I, I think you just, you know, you try to tighten the belt elsewhere, do you eat some ramen, some extra ramen every once in a while, limit the takeout? Yeah, be a little shiver. See if you can boost that finish. I just think that beats a year of living with like a rando. Yeah, you could win the lottery. You could be awesome. You could be friends for life. But like if you have this plan and you know that this is basically just as limited window that you have, like I'm, you know, and it's not going to kill you. And she doesn't really, it doesn't really affect like your future necessarily other than like maybe a little bit into your savings that like, you'll settle in next year when you kind of like, you know, obviously figure the things out long term. I just think you're, I think you're going to look back and like regret this, but like I think you'll enjoy that one year. And the studio you wanted to live with before maybe you kind of settle down and do your thing. I'm not proud of this, but I'll never understand budget guy when it's this kind of number. All right. I mean, there's obviously cars you can't afford, houses you can't afford. You shouldn't go on this trip. But for your own sanity and do experience living on your own for the first time before, as you guys called it a roommate, potentially a girlfriend down the road. I mean, if we're talking a few hundred bucks, like you said, your job's doing all right. Like it's maybe three to three and a half grand over the course of a year. Like I just think how stupid all of us can be. Although, you know, serious budget guys are incredible. And I'm, I'm envious of it. I'll never understand it when I didn't have any money. I was just like, I don't know. I'll do this and I'll figure it out. And then you may have to go through like that 60-day stretch. You're like, this is tight, man. This is really tight. Like what utility can I do without? I think you find a way. I think budget guy, it's, it's admirable. And maybe I don't know who's right. I don't know who's right because the budget thing is, it'd be great if we all were stricter about that stuff. But there's also times I've seen friends paralyzed by fear. Whether it's, you know, now with, with some guys that have kids, which I totally understand. But like when you're in your 20s and you're paralyzed by this, and you're going to be in your apartment for the first time ever by yourself feeling of freedom, your girlfriend's going to be able to come over to visit. You're not going to have to hope your roommate fucking leaves and all that kind of stuff. Like, I mean, you know how much that's where it's next wife hasn't come by. Yeah. Yeah. Or he's like, hey, if a Sarah calls, I'm not here. You know, like, dude, what kind of Ponzi scheme are you running? You know, or, I mean, it just, whatever that value is, a piece of mine versus what kind of disruptive environment you could be living in. You know, it's all based on like what you can afford. But that's a staggering amount of money for me to whatever my value was then versus even now, I just, I cannot even understand why this is the debate to you, even though I admire the fact that you're probably somebody who's really regimented, maybe even on the frugal side about things, and you don't want to spend money on it. But this isn't even wasting money. This isn't an extra golf trip. This isn't some hobby. This isn't like fucking putting zero down on the jet ski. This is you for a few hundred extra dollars a month, avoiding all of the pitfalls that come with a much more challenging living experience. So you have another way to think of it as like, you know, I'm proficient at my job. Why wouldn't I get a race? I'm like, why wouldn't it be better than a lot of that? Two percent. Why don't you do that? I mean, that's the way the human mind works too, and why the zero percent financing first 12 months with introductory, like because no one ever goes, hey, I will do that because I'll likely be doing worse in a year. There's also a very few, I mean, outside of like, you know, my buddies, $22,000 Vegas situation. There are very, like there just aren't that many situations. Like, I just remember like being out with Hartford when I had no money. And I feel like my wife says, it's all the time, like I've never felt more financially secure than when I made no money, living in my early 20s, like you just like pay rent, you figure, you just kind of figure it out. You kind of figure it out exactly. And like if you're down a couple hundred bucks or whatever, like at 20 in your early 20s, like it just, it just, you think it's kind of like high school relationships, like you just think it matters more than it does. Like long term, you're just really never going to likely be looking back at that and be like, that's where it all went wrong, you know? That's just not what happens. Yeah, I didn't, I didn't pay for internet when I lived in my apartment at Pekipsey. I would go like pay my electric bill at the library. It's like, it's amazing what you figure out, you know? I looking back at Camp Alive, I was like, that's one thing we could live without, but you do figure it out. All right, one more here, 30 years old, Canadian. That's with an exclamation point. Nice. Two twos, my poo poo. Six foot three, 205, bench 245, four reps last week, Kyle, like that one. Player comment. Dearly version of Washington capitals forward Tom Wilson. Wow, love Tom Wilson. Getting married in 30 days. Our wedding has quite a rock and roll music theme, disco ball is a live band guitar hero at cocktail hour to give you an idea. It's a real theme to this. This is great. The music has been my responsibility is I don't care about flowers or decorations, whatsoever. I'm curious, oh, excuse me, I'm curating the playlist for cocktail hour and dinner to feature my fiancee and I's music taste mixed with classic wedding songs such as Isn't She Lovely by Stevie Wonder. That's a great song. No one's ever written a song. Isn't she average? My dilemma is that one of our friends who will be in attendance is in a fairly successful touring band. We love his music and want to have a few of his songs in the playlist. We both know if we asked him, he would tell us to go for it with no regard for having to hear his own songs at a wedding. I'd say 25% of the guests are good friends of his and know his music already. They're 75% of what have no clue who he is and he is by no means a celebrity at this point. What do you three think the protocol is here? Am I overthinking this? Would it be weird to just have his music on the playlist without telling him is this a clear no fly zone? And looking forward to hearing about the Broadway show recommendations from Wargon for Sarooie's anniversary. If you could share those on the pod coming up soon. Surrey that. I looked um there's a Harry Potter number that where we're We don't have people like to see that doing well on yelp That I don't know um But I that beyond that there aren't there's not a lot I know so I do have to hit up foreground about that because I haven't really that's what I'm saying Yeah, when you get that info of we'd love to share that on the show might just have it be a Thursday I also I also did just have my wife and I's wedding anniversary was Monday and Anniversary I saw the post eight Anniversary cute couple cute couple. Yeah, it was good time. I did that a favor Thanks, man, I appreciate that and we did have a we did have a playlist and I've put a lot of effort into that and no one cared not a single person cared But it's cool to like look back and like we listen to it like every year So we listen to it on Monday. It's like hey, what was on really? Yeah, oh my god What do you mean that's weird? I'll get together and listen. You're a wedding playlist together once a year Like the happy hour cocktail one is like Like a scoop it's not like we sit down like take notes like it just Hey, look we're driving the kids around or whatever like you just on in the car for like a week period as we like kind of reminisce about the time It puts you back into that moment because a lot of those songs I don't really some of them I do listen to now But not a lot of them I I a lot of my don't so it's a cool like little thing for yourself I but like putting aside that you guys are wrong on this No, no, you know like session across the living room just for your first dance on no one's gonna care you get to a fight play Yeah, I remember this number So yeah, I like your way more you're this is one of those like you're way more into this and anyone else is going to be maybe even your wife But like if you put it in there and he listens to it cool if not like it kind of doesn't make up You want me to tell you some of the songs? Here we go. Let's say you bring it up. I think while you're looking that up I think every if you're said 25% of the people there are friends with him like don't tell anyone when it comes on There's gonna be 25% of the way that's gonna go like oh, and that's fun, and that's like plays into wedding vibes I think you're obviously getting it, but I would keep it a secret That'd be cool It's a good mix. I should set it to you guys. I think there's some stuff in here you'd like You got a Some nor Jones love nor Jones back in the day. Huh don't listen to her very often usually just around the anniversaries What else do we got? We got a little cold play. We got a little bit of Chris Stapleton we have Obviously some Stevie Wonder and he's sepado don't have the pixies. I'll obviously a little bit of John Mayer that dog Rolling stones be used to burden because like you got it There has to be it can't just be all like love songs. Can you know some cool stuff that can't be gangers Yeah, no, it's it's yeah exactly some bond or somebody bear some Gary Clark Jr Some plate with back like it's just it's again. It's a good playlist. I think you guys are like this is you guys are wrong on this It's a good move. Oh, I mean if you're just like making dinner in the car. Okay. I get that's what we're listening to today I understand that it was just the way you said it was funny. It was just like, you know, I you know what dad is Got a little bit troll Timberlake Some Drake this is like listen. This is fantastic senior easy great song, but it was not on I don't know Okay, I would tell our e-mailer dudes that make a living being on stage. Usually don't hate attention So I think you're overthinking this one. I don't think he would be bothered by it whatsoever He'd probably think it was probably he's not yeah, I don't maybe is it the Canadian thing here like what's going on? Yeah, I don't worry like you want me to play that live like oh, man I know I don't want to that and then you have like I'm really nervous. Oh, my flute on the truck You guys play seven eight. Um, let me Yeah, I don't like if there's is there anything we're not thinking about here of why you know like you've got to be Really established to then think that you're right to tell the guy getting married like really you're playing two of our songs here I would think he was he would think it was awesome except for maybe the one of the 75% or so would be like what fucking song is this? Somebody yeah, somebody's in line at the open bar waiting for their you know neat whiskey and they're like what is this bullshit? That would that would suck Well, I can get DJ. I would maybe do two songs if you're thinking one to three. I'd say air on the one to two side of things Maybe a little more considering the demographics. Yeah, maybe more like because you never wanted to rail anything you know as I was yeah, I was DJing for one of our Knights for the golf thing and one of my close friends Tim Walsh just said I want to remind you to DJ for us not for yourself Not for you. You have a tendency. You have a real tendency to start going MF doom and nobody knows one for tracks in the midnight marauders and I like dude. Is this gonna be the whole thing? Yeah, right and he was I was like look Tim. That's the most honest Ferticism I've ever taken in my entire life He's like I've been around you enough to know that you slowly go into this phase of DJing for yourself And no one likes it. You start off thinking of everyone and then that you know five in you're like I'm absolutely killing it You think everybody I know this deep cut and they just don't Dude, I was doing Phil Collins. A lot of the stuff off a new jacket I went for little on-go-boying go. I was doing karate kid soundtrack at Top Gun Kenny Loggins. It it I had a really good set. Can he really get set? So I kept thinking about what Tim said and I go, you know what? This isn't about me tonight. This isn't about me Just on here. I'm just I believe I believe you great idea. I want to get married now I could miss you first. I made a little oopsie. Just made a little oopsie at my wedding My wife and like her basically a bridesmaid. I think all 36 mafia hour of emo Music like 2000s and I think I maybe made it 15 minutes into it Couple of whiskeys walk up to the DJ. I'm like I'm the groom and it's time for tea pain and 50 cent and like she had like 70% of this thing still going and It just I she's forgiven me but in hindsight. I'm like damn. I pulled the I pulled the groom card right there I love the double point the Kyle just gave us because it was the perfect reenactment going I know that point and how the elbows are up that angle there. It's like this is You reenacted a sober version of like a slide like I can't believe fully sober you could get that Double point elbow angle perfect as you did that was I was in the taxi for most of the planning and most of the day And then I'd like so I was like this is my time you know looked at all my friends and it's like there was probably like nine women like What the heck dude? So I can't believe that double point. I'm not gonna. That's the highlight of the entire week that you just We'll be able to read that Netflix guy Yeah, check out an Netflix full episodes that'll do for the show.
